QT #98/99, Part 1

More smooshing. Let's start with the two big events and then fill in the gaps.

THE RESTAURANT OPENING

Leo gets his panties in a bunch when Val arrives with Mat after dropping off Tito at Luisa's and steers her around by her tightly-pinched elbow for the rest of the evening. Art and Leo make little campaign speeches. Carlo takes one look at Esme and miraculously recovers his accent, which he puts to good use convincing her that she is the only woman in his life: past, present, and future.

THE WEDDING

Mateo grabs Val out of the limo in front of La Noria and throws her onto a horse. Yay! But all they do is have the same stupid argument in a nicer locale. Boo! Eventually she arrives at the church without a smudge, so I guess all that horsey-polishing really works.

Meanwhile, in the vestry, Sab comes at Leo from the other side, which is slurpier but just as ineffective. He tells her his political ambitions go much higher than mayor, and Val will be more useful to him than her -- but he's not averse to a little fluffing before the ceremony.

The wedding happens. Everyone looks miserable except Leo and Minerva. Val can't manage much of a smile even though she poses for pictures for a living, and Ange strews flower petals as if they were dead spiders. Leo's facial lesions apparently disappeared as soon as he put on his little mariachi outfit. Mags looks stunning in her emerald-green dress.

Tito walks out in disgust before the ceremony starts, and Mat walks out in horror as soon as it's over. Sandi follows him out and talks him into giving their "marriage" another try. Yuck.
 

QT #98/99, Part 2

OTHER STUFF

Mat tells Sandi he wants a paternity test. She appears to agree.

The gal in the manicomio turns out to be Tia Nadia as predicted, and she tells Tirso it's Leonel who put her there. He says they both need to get out and hacer justicia.

Dalia tries to visit Aaron after Guillermo tells her he is gravely ill in the prison infirmary, but he is too heavily sedated for her to see him. Later Esme overhears them discussing his "secret" defense of Aaron against the charges and flips her lid.

For some inexplicable reason, Lorenzo and Corina kiss. Twice. And she says now she's his novia.

Mat confesses to the Padre that he suspects Leo may be the father of Sandi's baby, and the Padre is unable to feign surprise.

 

QT #98/99

Thanks, Blue Lass for covering these important events.

Loved the horseback kidnapping, even if Val stayed perfectly clean.
I Never saw Leo before in any type of folkloric outfit. He didn't look bad, just seemed to be posing and vote seeking.

OK, Matt, good idea to get a DNA test--just be careful where you get it and make sure the results aren't fake.
 

"MEPS" Episode 141 (Part XLVI):

585.) Over at J&M's., Jacinto & Mags enjoy a very delicious enchilada dinner & talk, when some cat begins meowing out loud LOL.

586.) Mags opens up the present, it's a wooden baby rattle. Jacinto thinks the stork is coming to visit them (this will be key later on in this epic Telenovela) as it's looking like Mags will be PREGGERS soon.

587.) Over at the restaurant in Mexico City, Franco & Clingy Erika eating some dinner, where they discuss Redhead & Miguel's friendship in Spain; her love for Eduardo Juarez & that Clingy Erika knows that the Elizalde's will NEVER permit Redhead to marry the servant's son. Body Language of Franco rages inside.

588.) Over at J&M's, Jacinto checking in on the cat outside while Mags is playing with the rattle.

589.) Inside the home office at the Elizalde Mansion, Psycho Barbara muttering to herself in convincing Gullible Aurora to gaining her trust & go away far, far away with her from Artemio Bravo & Daddy Elizalde. The moment is temporarily stopped by Tomasa, who enters the office & telling her that the Police Commissioner is here to speak with Daddy Elizalde. Psycho Barbara will meet with him. Police Commissioner also confirmed that law enforcement found Macario's body & reporting on the investigation into his death.

590.) Meanwhile Redhead is intently reading Ana Gregoria's juicy TMZ-style diary inside her bedroom & barefoot.

591.) Flashback Central: Ana Gregoria describes Daddy Elizalde's first communion party & that Soledad (Ana Gregoria's sister) goes to tell Don Jeronimo that Ana Gregoria is in the woods waiting for him; when Ana Gregoria explains to him that she's sick & needs some money as well as showing him the birth certificate with Artemio's name on it, etc., Don Jeronimo isn't interested in helping the baby or the birth certificate.

592.) Don Jeronimo bluntly & harshly throws the paper into the ground, then hands her some coins & tells her to vacate the premises IMMEDIATELY! He then looks around to make sure nobody was watching & returns to the party.

593.) When Police Commissioner shows Psycho Barbara & Co., the identification that they found on Macario's body, Psycho Barbara gives us an epic Oscar Award-winning performance LOL. She is determined to rush the funeral arrangements for the Elizalde's long-time employee (hmm: you didn't seem concerned that you had Soledad buried in secret with only Jacinto & Mags in attendance), but Police Commissioner strongly says law enforcement is still conducting the autopsy to determine the cause of death. Obviously, Psycho Barbara doesn't want an investigation.

594.) Priscila thought-bubbles about Jackass #1 Anibal vs Creepy Vlad.

595.) Once the Police Commissioner leaves the Elizalde Mansion, Psycho Barbara tells Tomasa to keep the Police Commissioner's visit to the Elizalde Mansion top secret from EVERYONE.

596.) Clingy Erika pouncing on Franco, who gets very uncomfortable: she offers to fix him some cognac or something. Only saving grace for Franco was the phone call from Mags, who tells him that Jacinto got into an accident.

597.) Martina & Steve, Jr., both getting frustrated with Venus about her plans for Jackass #2 Camilo & the engagement party because she's NOT going to reveal what deviousness she's got cooking up.
 

QT #98/99

Great stuff. Most of what's not here was build-up to these scenes. The one good thing not mentioned is that Tito cleaned up nicely for the wedding that should not have happened.

Leo does look hot in the traje de charro. Too bad he's a sociopathic killer. That accounts for Valeria's inability to smile. A girl can only take so much. Magdalena's dress was beautiful and perfect on her. I hope she does give Victor a chance eventually; he doesn't have issues she doesn't need.

Matt does need to get the DNA test ASAP when it can be done. The baby is actually his nephew and unless the writers pull a fast one on us Matt will have to raise him at the end of the story.

We can't ignore the possibility that he impregnated Val, since she hasn't been with Leo recently. She could be in the same situation as Sandy within. The next half-dozen capitulos.
 

ECDLP #41

- Marcelo quickly ends the make out session. Rebeca wonders if it’s because of Lucia. He quickly leaves. Rebeca says aloud that Lucia won’t win Marcelo.
- Alonso finds Lucia outside. She says that she pushed Marcelo away because she’s afraid of being hurt again. And because Nora is interested in him.
- Alonso says Nora needs help so Lucia shouldn’t let Nora be an obstacle between her and Marcelo.
- Ligia calls Rodrigo and wants to meet up again in her apartment. Amador walks in and wonders if he was talking to his “mysterious lady friend”.
- Nazario gives Trini the cross he got from the factory.
- Daniela asks Ligia the name of the guy who jilted Lucia. Ligia claims she doesn’t know much about her ex coworker.
- Rafaela tells Marcelo that Lucia was at the mass and that she met her earlier.
- Rebeca returns home and finds Alonso in their bedroom. She realizes she lost plot earring again.
- Lalo remembers seeing Vinicio arguing with Amador. He wonders if they’re friends. He tells Nazario. Nazario isn’t worried.
- Rebeca returns to the hotel to try and find her earring. Turns out, Marcelo found it. He takes out plot gun. Milagros sees him and wonders why he still has it. It was his father’s gun.
- Lucia runs into Daniela. Daniela mentions Rodrigo and Nora’s relationship. She claims Marcelo told her about it.
- Nora blames herself for her parents marital problems. She says she wants to work at the factory but Alonso says he’ll think about it.
- Marcelo tells Nazario that he’s going to return to the city. Nazario wants to know more about the burden Marcelo carries but Marcelo says it doesn’t matter.
- Teresa tells Rebeca that a woman went looking for her.
- Lucia confides in Trini that she chickened out about going to see Marcelo. A woman calls Trini’s name. It’s Clara who used to work in Casa Gaxiola. Clara tells Lucia that she was at the house the day of Adriana’s accident.
- Trini says Clara took advantage of Adriana’s accident to rob the house. She wonders why Clara returned. Clara says her son is very ill. Trini isn’t moved.
- Leti asks Mario if he’s really not married. He doesn’t want to talk about his personal life with her.
- Magdalena wonders why Sara didn’t tell her that Leti works for Mario. She thinks Sara is interested in Mario but Sara says she’s interested in Alonso but knows he’s married to Mag’s sister.
- Lucia thinks Trini was too hard on Clara. Lucia wonders if maybe someone forced Clara to rob the house. Trini changes the subject to Marcelo.
- Clara tells her son’s babysitter that she couldn’t get the help she was looking for. Ruperto is in jail. Clara says she needs to find another person who she knows won’t say no.
- Rebeca tells Lucia that she’ll take Alonso to the doctor. Lucia asks Rebeca if she knows someone named Clara. Rebeca flashes back to Clara asking her if she fought with Adriana.
- Rebeca asks Teresa if the woman who came looking for her was named Clara. Teresa never got the name. Rebeca tells her to inform only her if the woman returns,
- Daniela tells Milagros that she met Lucia’s sister and thinks she’s also interested in Marcelo.
- Nora tells Marcelo that she’s going to work at the factory. Marcelo feigns interest. Amador tells Nora he’s sorry about her losing the baby. She also tells him she’ll work at the factory.
- Trini visits Nazario at the factory and tells him about Clara.
- Rebeca drops Alonso off at home saying she’s going to the supermarket.
- Amador visits Alonso. He tells him he’ll try and get along with Nazario. He mentions seeing Nora at the factory. Amador thinks Nora wants to be close to Marcelo. And notes Marcelo was also interested in Lucia. Alonso doesn’t think that’s any different from Rodrigo being involved with his daughters.
- Rebeca sees Marcelo and asks him if he has her earring. He says no. She says she truly cares about him. She kisses him and Trini sees them from the sidewalk.
 

ECDLP #40/41

Gracias, TF. My apologies for not commenting the last couple of days but QT is getting slammed with slicing and dicing.

Marcelo is the one galan I have major trouble with for what he's been doing with Rebecca. If I were Lucia I would ditch him permanently. I told an advice column group recently that if my ex had boinked my mother I would have killed him and made it look like an accident.

In the meantime I keep picturing Ximena Romo as Veda in Mildred Pierce.

QT #100 Part 1 of 2

Matt visited Padre G to talk about his doubts about the baby. He had demanded a DNA test. Padre G later admitted he did not think Val would be happy with Leo.

Esmeralda and Dalia talked about Aaron. Esme was bent on revenge. Dalia did not see this as justice. She tried to get Esme to understand forgiveness. She reminder her that but for Aaron's actions Matt might have disappeared completely. Then she fessed up to having visited Aaron.

Juanito drove Val and Leo home and was ordered to leave them alone. Leo then talked as though they were a normal couple... after forcing Matt out of the hacienda one way or another. He ordered her to dry her tears because the guests were waiting. Dalia explained that Aaron had a severe case of pneumonia despite having arrived at the jail healthy. He had no will to live. Despite this Esme would not withdraw the charges.

Padre G did not understand Val marrying Leo but asked Matt whether he had loved Sandy on their wedding day. Matt finally answered that he married to have a family “But why am I alone?”
“You are never alone. You have God and you have me. That is perfect.” they hugged briefly.

Esme was still being stubborn. Dalia said she respected her opinoin but Esme did not return the favor.

Lorenzo told Corina that his real name is actually Cirillo. Corina asked when they were going to marry [¿¿WTF??]

The morning paper was being distributed as
– Dalia went to her therapy session.
– Tirso talked to his shrink
– Leo put a framed wedding photo in his study
– Dalia visited Aaron while using a walker
– Berenice instructed new Avon Ladies, including Magdalena

Next edition of the paper carried election results
-- Victor visited the murder scene at the orphanage
-- Uriel gave Sandy some ultrasound photos that obviously weren't of her baby
-- Val looked at photos for Avon ads
-- Angelita had more pains
-- Leo hosted a dinner party of politicians. Val seemed to be the only woman at the table. Matt passed by in the corridor and their eyes met.

Matt had a phone call saying that Sandy's pregnancy was well and it looked like a boy. Sepia flashback to the conversation with Val on the wedding day. We know from that that Val was lying about Leo being her true love. Then that Matt said he would pretend she did not exist.

Val was in the conference room with Cleo and other executives. She presented the video of herself dressed to the nines and showing off the lipstick colors. [Sandy, eat your heart out!] Leo tried coming on to her and got a chill in return.
 

QT #100 Part 2 of 2

Matt and Carlo talked about Sandy's behaviour since the wedding. Her jealousy had increased and Matt said “Something died in me.” Carlo said he ad the right to the DNA test. Matt said that whatever the result the baby had the right to a good life.

Vicente talked to someone about Dorotea; no results yet. He approached Tito to talk to him about it. All the boy knew was that he had been told she went to the US to look for work. He showed Vicente the photo in the locket.

Victor packed up his personal things from his office, not wanting to continue with Leo as mayor. Enter Servando with a lawyer on Leo's payroll. Turning himself in? Victor sarcastically commented that this was “so convenient” because Leo would protect him. The man who tried to rape and kill Magdalena. The lawyer said “Can you prove that? You were the one who locked her up.” Victor had Cipriano lock Servando up.

Ange ran into the barn for Lorenzo's visit. She held her side, then ran to get Corina, who later said she wanted her parents to meet him.

Dalia visited Aaron, now walking with a cane. He told her that he had a court date soon and he hoped to be condemned. The monitor made its usual noise.

Leo's lawyer told Servando that there was no proof against him and it would be dangerous to implicate Leo. “However, he might be generous for past services rendered...”

Tirso flew the cuckoos' nest.

Leo went to Sab's room to humiliate her more. She still seemed eager to be his whore.

Magda and Berenice talked Avon and Berenice gave her a pep talk about believing in herself.

Victor handed in his resignation. Leo didn't want it. He wanted Victor on his side. Victor mentioned the disappearance of the grave robber, but was playing the long game. He said he would think about it.

Dalia was finally standing and preparing tea when Carlo came to talk to her. After seeing Esme he had talked to Matt. He said that while Matt would be caring for the infant he is miserable. Sandy is a bad wife who does not love her husband. Dalia was not taking this as expected, saying “All couples have problems. They made a promise under God.”

Magda was doing well as an Avon Lady. However, Chacho wasn't happy with Berenice's dedication to her work.

Tirso visited Eva, telling her he was a changed man.

The two lawyers went to La Noria about the inheritance situation.
 

QT #101 Part 1 of 2

Leo's lawyer reported that they lost. Guillermo told Dalia she was still in charge of the estate. Sandy asked “then, it's still all ours?” then corrected herself.

Victor told Magdalena he had filed for divorce and asked for another chance with her.

Leo picked up his lawyer by the lapels. Val looked embarrassed. Minnie and her brandy snifter told Leo to calm down and let the man finish. When he caught his breath the lawyer said he was appealing the decision.

Guillermo told Dalia and her family hw will fight the appeal and this might take a while. In the meantime he told Dalia to dispense the inheritance as she saw fit. Sandy tried to say something but Matt stopped her.

Leo's lawyer suggested he call someone else about this. Minnie and her snifter demanded to know if this criada had all this power. He said they didn't have much time but yes, for now. Matt trusted that she would be fair. Leo's lawyer recommended that he reconcile with Dalia.

Victor told Magda he would be completely free in about three weeks. She said she would talk then.

Eva told Tirso that Leo is the new mayor. Art is in a different position and will marry the campesina at the end of the week. Tirso did not get why Eva would want him back [We don't either]. She was still sure she could get him back. She told him about Tito and he asked about Magda.

Who at that moment warned Victor that Leo had no limits and he was to be careful.

Tirso did not like the news about Magda and Victor. Eva warned Tirso to watch out for Victor.

Chacho and Berenice argued about her work. He wanted her home with him and she said her job benefitted them both. He replied by getting into bed fully dressed. She guilted him into removing his boots.

Dalia told everyone she would continue as before. She put Matt fully in charge of the ranch. Leo hit the table, Minnie restrained him, and Matt told Leo he could leave if he didn't like this. Dalia declared that all were to be respectful to each other. Anyone who ended up being asked to leave will forfeit any inheritance rights. “This was Don Patricio's will. Is that clear?”

Berenice told Chacho she had to go to DF on business and he was not pleased she intended to go alone. He was peeved about Alberto and decided she would not go. She reminded him that husband =/= owner. He said “We'll see if you get out of town.” [Uh-oh]

Minnie told Leo to calm down and put up with this for a while. Failure to do so would be to risk losing everything. Of course, Leo didn't want that. However, Minnie said they would have to play by Dalia's rules for now. “Remember that to be a Montes you occasionally have to have blood on your hands,” she said. Leo picked up the riding crop.
“I don't want to kill Matt and his damned mother.” he said.
“No, not now. But the moment will come.”
“No, Mother. I promised Valeria that if she married me I –”
“What's worth more, a broken promise or the inheritance they want to take away? No, Son. We have two days. Why don't we look for [???]. You're a great actor; you can do this. Don't forget that revenge is best eaten cold.”
He put on his father's black hat.
 

QT #101 Part 2 of 2

Matt said good night to his favorite horses when Val arrived to tell him to be careful not to provoke Leo because “You don't know what he's capable of.”
“What? That I'd kill him or he would kill me?”
She made a fast exit.

A letter fell out of a book in Padre G's study. It went If anything happens to me or to Valeria, Leo is responsible. He is a con man and a monster... I am sorry for keeping his secrets and my life is in danger. Here's hoping Leo's evil doesn't end Valeria. I will never abandon her. Padre G left Lorenzo to reshelve the books.

Padre G ran into Eva on the street. She wanted to talk to him about Art., He told her he had an emergency and needed to go.

Art and Luisa talked about their wedding, then about Tito. Art''s notion of inspiring respect was corporal punishment. Luisa objected, saying times have changed.

Berenice talked with Tito, who said he was not invited to Art's wedding. Berenice said he could always come to her for help because they are siblings.

Padre G went to see Val. He asked where Remi was. She said he was in San Francisco. And he showed her the letter. She read it and he asked again. He was persistent in asking whether Leo did anything. Val could not face him. He took the letter back and left.

Corina was with Juanito and Justino when Tirso arrived. Corina became afraid. Tirso said he was there to see Dalia.

The wedding day arrived. The dress was laid out on the bed and Art was badgering Luisa to get ready.. Despite her tears she loked like she had something up her sleeve.

Ange wanted to go to bed. Sab was trying to refuse when Corina came in to warn Sab that Tirso was there. Before Sab could panic Dalia came in and said Ange needs a doctor. Sab looked Ange in the eyes. The child said she was alright.

Facundo and Camila talked about the wedding and the conversation ended up being about Juanito. Facundo said Juan was gay and Camila did not believe him.

Tirso started by apologizing to the workers and saying he wanted to see Ange. Sab objected. Daliia reproached her and she left. Trso left the field witih Dalia and Matt.
 

QT #101/102

Thanks, Urban. There sure is a lot going on. I can more or less follow the plot (except for that Lorenzo/Camila thing), but the motivations are getting a little obscure.

My "upcoming episodes" in Xfinity shows twofers all the way until June 11th, then it stops. Since there are still 3 episodes after that, I suspect the Gran Final will be Monday June 14th or Tuesday the 15th.

The finale was a double episode in Mexico. I really can't understand Univision's motivation for doing this. Did you see its replacement?

ECDLP #42

- Marcelo breaks the kiss and says that he doesn’t care about Rebeca. When he exits her car he sees Trini. He wants to explain but she won’t hear it.
- Rebeca freaks out and asks Marcelo what will they do now? Rebeca knows she recognized the car. She’ll try and talk to Trini. Marcelo says he doesn’t have as much to lose as Rebeca does.
- Alonso wants to know what Nora’s motivation is for wanting to work at the factory. He says she just wants to be close to Marcelo. Marcelo is interested in Lucia. Lucia reciprocates that feeling and just doesn’t want conflict with Nora.
- Lucia remembers Alonso’s words about Marcelo and Nora, and Marcelo saying he cares for her. She calls him and wants to meet up to talk. He agrees.
- Magdalena apologizes to Sara. She advises her not to make a move on Alonso not only because of Rebeca but because Alonso will never forget Adriana.
- Sara says she had discovered that Ricardo was going to marry another woman.
- Marcelo shows up at Casa Treviño but Trini doesn’t want to talk to him. She knows exactly who he was with. Marcelo says he hates Reb because she caused his brother’s suicide. Trini is stunned.
- Marcelo finishes telling Trini about Federico and Rebeca. He wanted to get revenge but he fell in love with Lucia and gained Alonso’s trust.
- He says he has evidence that proves it was Rebeca who caused his brother’s death. An example being the name “Adriana Murillo”.
- Clara goes to Casa Gaxiola wanting to talk to Rebeca. Lucia doesn’t think Rebeca will help her. She asks about Clara’s son. She offers to try and help Clara in any way she can.
- Rodrigo tells Amador he made progress on their business venture and they’ll be able to start operations soon.
- Milagros tells Marcelo that she’ll be living in Puebla with Daniela. Marcelo thinks he’ll return to the city soon.
- Lucia asks Alonso for a loan. He writes her a blank check. Lucia finally accepts to work at the factory,
- Amador presents his business venture to Nazario. Nazario thinks it’s too big of a risk. He tells Amador that Alonso put him in charge of the factory. Amador won’t take orders from him.
- Normita defends Nazario and Amador calls her out for being in love with Nazario. Nazario is stunned.
- Nazario punches Amador. Amador maintains his business venture will happen and Nazario says “over my dead body”
- Nazario tells Normita not to listen to Amador. She runs off crying.
- Rebeca calls Marcelo and he tells her that he handled things with Trini.
- Amador calls Vinicio saying he needs to see him ASAP.
- Rebeca goes to Casa Treviño to try and talk to Trini. Trini tells her to admit and accept that she likes younger men. Rebeca says Alonso has never cared about her. Alonso will always be in love with a ghost.
- Trini says that doesn’t justify anything. Neither Alonso nor Nora will show her any compassion when they find out. It’s not her place to say anything but the truth will come out eventually.
- Marcelo tells Rafaela that he told Doña Trini the truth. He says now he’ll have to tell Alonso and Lucia because things have gone too far.
- Lucia tells Nora she’s going to meet up with Marcelo. She admits she does have feelings for him. Nora thinks Lucia is getting revenge on her. Lucia will never have Marcelo.
- Nazario calls Marcelo. He wants to see him right away. Vinicio is spying on him. Trini tells Naz that she’s worried about the reappearance of Clara. Naz thinks Trini is hiding something. They tell each other that they love one another. Trini also leaves the house.
- Lucia gives Clara the check. Clara notes how much like Adriana Lucia is. She tells her not to trust Rebeca.
- Trini goes to church to pray. She’s very worried about bad things happening.
- Vinicio breaks into Casa Treviño.
- Nazario has told Marcelo about what happened with Amador and what he said about Normita.
- Lucia arrives at a restaurant but Marcelo hasn’t arrived yet.
- Trini returns home to find Vinicio there. She tries to call for help but he grabs her and chokes her to death. He steals the cross.
 

Quererlo Todo Friday 5-28-21 # 102

My apologies for this sketchy recap. I have a very bad arthritis situation with my knees and ribs this week.
Bere and Chacho are still arguing about her trip to the city. Val comes in.

Basurto tells Servendo to keep away.

Tirso is talking to Ange. He also greets Mag, who seems happy to see him. He asks for a second chance with her. She says ok.

Val sees Matt, Tito and Ange lock her in behind a partition.

Art is waiting at the altar for Luisa. She enters in her simple wedding dress, as Vicente stand to the side watching. Luisa pauses, then begins to speak. This is goodbye forever. She has suffered blows and words of hatred from this man. Art is the last man on earth she would marry. He deserves to be solo for the rest of his life. Art tries to approach her, but trips and falls down the steps.

Leo finds Val locked in and releases her. He’s not happy at the situation.

The Governor calls Leo to tell him Art’s wedding is cancelled. Art is calling someone (?) a maldito ingrate. He reads the note and sits and cries.

Luisa and Vicente are eating. She tells him she didn’t leave one man to go to another one. She only wanted to escape. She will either sleep on the sofa or leave.

Eva comes in to speak to Art. He is still crying and they embrace.

Leo is talking to himself—what is he going to do?

Val says the women of Rosario see Luisa as a heroine.

Leo comes to see Art—they decide that Tito will stay with Leo.

Mag talks to Val and learns that Val feel trapped in a cave. Leo killed Remi and Surem.

Ange is going to the doctor. Her symptoms are not recent.

Matt comes in and overhears Sandy on the phone with Uriel.

Tirso is knocking at the door. He has found Mag’s sister Nadia—she was an inmate in the same institution Tirso was in.

Matt tells Dalia that Sandy is manipulating him over the baby. Dalia has come to comfort her daughter-in-law. Matt says he will find a doctor he can trust for the DNA, not Uriel.
 

"MEPS" Episode 142 (Part XLVII):
598.) We begin with Venus & Steve, Jr., arguing over silly stuff. It's obvious those two are going to be endgame but need some chaos before it happens.

599.) In the meantime, Psycho Barbara is desperately working Gullible Aurora by coaxing her in gaining her trust. Body Language tells us Gullible Aurora is very uncomfortable.

600.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion: Redhead & Clingy Erika having one of those so-called BFF talks.

601.) Clingy Erika & Redhead talk about the following: Franco, Miguel (he'll be a factor in the closing stretch) & Mooching Damian.

602.) Back once again at Colegio Buena Esperanza between Psycho Barbara & Gullible Aurora: Fast Forward.

603.) J&M's: Franco arguing with Nagging Gardenia, who's still itching to ruin Franco's revenge plan against Psycho Barbara by threatening to expose him as Eduardo Juarez & put everyone in danger in the process.

604.) Luckily Mags shows up to see what's going on between Franco & Nagging Gardenia, who brags about the upcoming engagement party between Jackass #2 Camilo & Lovely.

605.) More of the giggling & laughing of Clingy Erika Astorga OMG. Redhead's body language says it all when she walks over to the window.

606.) Somewhere in Mexico City, Cousin Jacobo & Accomplice Dude watching Creepy Vlad & his friends coming back from a croquet game earlier in the day.

607.) Apartment manager gives Creepy Vlad his mail.

608.) Somewhere at Mooching Damian's apartment: Priscila nags about being an accomplice for all of the illegal schemes & also nags about Jackass #1 Anibal & Creepy Vlad.

609.) Commercial breaks ensue on Univision OMG.

610.) Opening credits & musical theme of "MEPS" show up.
 

"MEPS" Episode 142 (Part XLVIII):
611.) Following the opening credits & musical theme song, we return to Episode 142 of "MEPS".

612.) The so-called engagement party between Jackass #2 Camilo & Lovely occurs. We also see four of Jackass #2 Camilo's buji friends attending & I'm guessing they're the ones who attacked Jacinto.

613.) Natasha also shows up & nags at Jackass #2 Camilo about some secretary. He figures it out & later on, gets super aggressive & roughs up Florecita by throwing her like a ragdoll. Nagging Gardenia is furious at what she witnessed & wants to kick Jackass #2 Camilo's ass (Venus will do that job later on in the closing stretch).

614.) Among those in attendance: Martina, Steve, Jr., Franco, Daddy Elizalde, Psycho Barbara, Jackass #1 Anibal & Priscila. Plus Clingy Erika shows up & clings onto Franco.

615.) I see Tomasa is also working with Nagging Gardenia & Florecita too. Something tells me Lucio will show up to wreak havoc on Tomasa's life soon.

616.) In the meantime at the so-called engagement party, lots of music from the band. Folks must love the dancing.

617.) Clingy Erika finds the caller ID in who spoke with Franco: Redhead's name is on it & Clingy Erika is enraged.

618.) While that's going on, Creepy Vlad is eating bananas & milk. Some weird meal I guess.

619.) Accomplice Dude & Cousin Jacobo making last-minute details on this plan against Creepy Vlad.

620.) Mooching Damian's plan is going to blow up in his face. Just watch!

621.) Redhead shows up at the so-called engagement party & sits down next to Daddy Elizalde & the others at the head table.

622.) Body Language of Martina tells us she's NOT comfortable with Venus' plan to get revenge on Jackass #2 Camilo because of the likelihood of it backfiring.

623.) The announcer calls both Jackass #2 Camilo & Lovely/Venus to come to the stage & address the crowd. We end with the closeup of Lovely/Venus' face as she's got something cooking up against Jackass #2 Camilo.

Gracias, Paloma. I totally sympathize with your arthritis; I have it in my knees as well.

This was another chop job. Bloody hell. What was missing:

Chacho went to DF and saw too little of the encounter between Berenice and Alberto. She was upset about Chacho's behavior and he was trying to comfort her, which Chacho misinterpreted. He shoved him, got shoved back, and then he punched him a few times. He was arrested. Berenice saw to the split lip (or whatever) and Alberto told her that Chacho needs a shrink because of his jealousy. Meanwhile Chacho managed to escape the DF police station. Valeria had witnessed an earlier conflict and commented that it looked like he was trying to clip Berenice's wings. My opinion is that his unemployment situation is behind his recent insecurities.

Art wailed like an abandoned toddler at losing Luisa in between leaving her two nasty voicemails. Is this what all abusers are really about?

Dr Flavio thinks that Angelita may be headed for renal failure and ordered the relevant tests to determine this. He instructed the lab that he needed the results that day. My prediction: He will have his suspicions confirmed and there will be testing to identify a possible donor. This could be how Leo finds out for sure that he is Ange's bio-father. If Minnie has any sense of self-preservation, she will not admit having know this for some time.

Some nonsense w/Corina and Lorenzo and her insisting that he propose within two days. We found out that Lorenzo is 23 years old. My opinion is that she is at least 10 years older than that and may want to be the boss in that marriage.

To elaborate on the most important DNA issue: Matt was standing outside Sandy's room and recorded her half of the conversation with Uriel about the baby's paternity. He confronted her with that evidence and she faked pain. This was where Dalia came in and insisted they call a doctor. Sandy said she wanted Uriel, but Matt made it clear he does not trust him and will get another doctor.

The lawyers in this story could write some juicy books about all this stuff. What a little Peyton Place this is.

There have to be opera lovers among the writers of telenovelas. Valeria is the second heroine I've seen get the Tosca treatment. I only hope that Victor can help her and Magdalena get out of this situation.

Thanks, Urban, for chipping in with the extended details. We still have plenty of truths to be uncovered. If this ends in mid-June, we don't have much time.

I hope Nadia will meet with Mag and Valeria. Maybe they can straighten things out to Val's satisfaction--she won't be completely happy, but she may be able to understand and forgive. She needs to know how Leo took over her life. It's a good thing she's pretty and capable of carrying out a modeling career. If she were ugly, what would have happened to her then?

If Valeria had been ugly instead she would have needed to have been a genius to survive. That might have inspired help from a teacher or a priest, but that would also depend on how Nadia would have handled this.

Leo is an effective con man because he is educated, well-spoken, and handsome. Very probably good in bed, too. Who knows how many other women became his victims in the past.

What I am curious about is why his acting career was on the skids, but we don't have Remi anymore to tell us. :( We have to hope that Nadia knows the answer to that question.

As for whether she will meet with Magdalena and Valeria, that will have to be soon and it will have to be at the facility. I am now asking myself whether they should tell Victor what happened. Shouldn't there be a forensic team to determine whether this was arson? Surely they can find evidence of the accellerant.
