ACUERDAS, Ep. 65: Losing a Battle…but the War is Not Over Part 1

We get a repeat of Ivana shedding her “Refresh” tears because she has driven away..errr, lost her family. Her heart (which she doesn’t have) is broken. Olmo assures her that she is not alone; she has him (lucky her!). He still has hopes of reuniting the family. When she asks if he can love her as much as he loves Vera, Olmo responds that she has been with him in good times and bad.

Pedro tells Vera about his conversation with Fausto. But he still doesn’t trust Fausto since his father expressed his fear for Fausto. Vera insists that she will continues staying there since they are safe. Pedro understands that Vera is still afraid of Olmo. Vera is tired of being afraid and she now knows what she should have done since the first time he attacked her..

Vera and Pedro zip over to the police station and Vera files a complaint on Olmo. She provides photos of her bruises. When Octavio sees them and wonders what they are doing there, Vera shares that she has come to file a complaint on Olmo...and if something happens to her, Olmo will be responsible.

Olmo meets with his consultants who tell him that they cannot find anything that proves that Fausto is Raul Bernal…even Raul’s fingerprints are different than Fausto’s. Olmo demands that they find something! Fausto/Raul has to have an Achille’s heel and they need to find it!

Vera tells Pedro that what gives her strength is the hope that they will be a family someday. After she thanks him for being there with her, he asks if she is ready for what comes next. Vera states that she has to be brave...and she has to do it alone.

At Casa Casares, Melida brings a drunk Gaston home from the brothel where he was. When she mentions his little cook, Gaston tells hers that she has nothing to worry about, because Laiza made him choose, and he didn’t choose.

At Laiza’s house, Delia tells Marina and Laiza that she is now a millionaire because Olmo gave her the severance check for all the years of her service…but she doesn’t want to accept it because that money is stained with (she pauses as she looks at Marina) sadness and pain. After Laiza explains that the severance check is a requirement and Marina supports her, Delia decides to accept it, but will invest it in their winery; they will call it “Second Air.”

Vera goes to see Olmo and hands him the order for a divorce. Olmo asks for a few minutes with his wife. Once alone he tells her, “Alone at last, sweetheart!”

Emilia and Eddy go drop off some food for Faby at Qctavio’s apartment.

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 65: Losing a Battle…but the War is Not Over Part 2

Olmo tells Vera that he fell in love with her and he would have never been capable of making her sad, yet she didn’t hesitate to hurt him. Vera retorts that he shouldn’t play the victim! There was never any love between them…and she wanted justice for her mother’s death. When she adds that he killed her mother and sent an innocent kid to prison, Olmo denies killing Antonia. When Vera asks if he is going to deny killing Tomas, he remains quiet; so Vera adds that being Fausto’s ally was her only recourse to get justice…all she wants is for Olmo to pay for everything he has done. Olmo grabs her and tells her that he will never forgive her betrayal! If she thinks she is going to have her little family with Pedro, she is mistaken. The day he sees them together, he will kill them! Vera pulls away and tells him that he will never touch her again; she filed a report on him and if anything happens to Nico or her, they will come for him. Olmo assures her that this is not the end, but Vera retorts that it is…her attorney will be waiting for him. Olmo remarks that she will get nothing from the divorce; he is glad he made her sign the prenup!

Pedro is playing with Nico when Vera calls him and tells him that she already gave Olmo the divorce papers. Olmo became furious and threatened her, but he knows that she filed a complaint against him. Pedro assures her that the nightmare is over (don’t think so, Dude!)

Ivana reads the complaint that Vera filed. She is glad that Olmo listened to her about the prenup; and she will ask Melida to review it once more. Olmo thinks that he would be in the streets if he hadn’t followed through with the prenup.

Bernardo arrives at Lola’s new store and meets Vera. After Bernardo leaves, Vera comments that Bernardo is handsome and after some giggles, Lola gives Vera a tour of her store.

Alicia and Fausto meet. Fausto is full of compliments and orders the best bottle of champagne. Alicia tells him that before he continues showering her with gifts, she wants to assure him that the only reason she accepted his invitation was so that he can tell her the whole story…and why Pedro accuses him of killing his father. Fausto starts his story…

Bernardo is back at the store and asks Lola to tell him about Vera. Lola thinks Bernardo is interested in Vera, so Bernardo explains that the only reason he wants to know about Vera is because she is the best friend of the woman whom he is really interested in…HER! They kiss!!

Fausto ends his story of how Olmo betrayed him and Tomas. Meanwhile, Olmo wildly gathers everything and anything that belonged to Vera. With Ivana by his side, he sets fire to them..

Julio goes to see Vera so that they can celebrate her grand day. Julio thinks it should be time for things to change. As they toast, Jass watches them, then goes outside and tells Pedro that things inside are getting somewhat romantic. Pedro, carrying Nico, rushes inside in time to hear Julio ask Vera for a second chance. Pedro quickly asks, A second chance for what, Julio?” When Pedro adds that he hopes he wasn’t interrupting anything, Vera assures him that he didn’t. Vera then tries to calm things by asking Nico about his time with his father. Her attempt fails and Pedro tells her it’s best that he leave…they are better off alone. As Pedro leaves, Julio accepts Jass’s invitation to stay for dinner.

Marina gets a call from the adoption agency who informs her that her and Pedro’s petition to adopt has been reinstated. After Marina tell her that she will talk to her later and hangs up, she cries as Andres holds her.

At Casa Casares, Ivana is glad that the house is only theirs now. Olmo states that he needed the blindfold to be removed. When he tells Ivana that he is on his feet just because of her, Ivana remarks that nothing makes her happier than to be Olmo’s woman.

Pedro cries on Teo’s shoulder about Vera and Julio. He is sure that Julio has not lost hope and he has always been Vera’s accomplice. There have always been lies between him and Vera…and those lies have not allowed them to be together.

Ivana wants the world to know that she is Olmo’s woman. She has always been his unconditional ally, but he hasn’t offered her anything but to be his secret lover…and his slave.

Teo questions why Pedro would think that he and Vera should be apart. Pedro tells him that Vera continues to hide things from him...and ever since she moved in with Fausto who is a criminal, Julio has been circling. Pedro thinks that Vera is encouraging Julio...and Julio is in love with her and is taking every chance to win her back. But Pedro will not allow it! Just then Vera calls Pedro, but he refuses to talk to her because he is MAD! The one whom he will talk to is Julio…he is now in front of Julio’s house.


Vera tells Julio that she thought she had been clear...the only thing between them is friendship. Julio replies that he can not rule over his heart.

Olmo tells Ivana that they can make their relationship official, but not to the public until he is divorced. They can however tell the family.

Octavio is enjoying the food Emilia made. He wants to know more about Faby’s boyfriend and his family; so they should invite them over. By getting to know them, he can know Faby better too. Faby would love for Octavio to meet them...she finally feels that she is part of something. Octavio assures her that she is the most beautiful part of his life.

Pedro confronts Julio who admits being in love with Vera. Julio points out that Pedro took the love of his life and now Pedro is angry because he wants to do the same. When Pedro accuses him of playing dirty, Julio assures him that he is not playing, he is going to fight for the love of his life. Pedro warns him that he will have to face the consequences.

Olmo arrives at his office to find Fausto sitting at his desk. Fausto tells him that technically, this is no longer his office; as the major stockholder of the company, Fausto can choose whatever office he wants.

Emilia and Eddy are having lunch with Octavio and Faby. As Octavio and Emilia talk, Emilia notices that Faby gets up and throws most of her food,

Olmo assures Fausto that he is going to pay for everything that he has done. Fausto mocks tah Olmo already killed him once and he was resurrected. Olmo swears in Alma’s memory that he will make sure that next time Fausto is not breathing. As Fausto tells Olmo that his office will now be near the restrooms, Melida comes and tells them that the meeting is ready to start.

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 65: Losing a Battle…but the War is Not Over Part 4

Marina meets with Pedro at the place where they got engaged. Pedro asks how things are going with Andres, so Marina tells him that they are fine. Marina then asks about Vera….and she wants to apologize because she was the one who told Olmo everything about Pedro and Vera….and Nico. Pedro tells Marina not to feel guilty...she had nothing to do with what happened. Marina never thought that things would get so bad between him and Olmo…she thinks that there must be something else that they are not telling her. Pedro tells her that there is nothing more…it’s just that with Olmo you are either with him or you’re his enemy.

Vera arrives with her attorney to meet with Olmo and Melida. Melida states that Olmo will not sign the divorce papers until everything is clarified. When Vera’s attorney assures them that everything is in line with the prenup; Olm signs as he wonders what it is that Vera wants. Vera sneers that she wants him to pay for all his crimes and she has filed a complaint against him! After he signs, Olmo snarls that the person who will send him to prison has not been born yet and threatens Vera. Vera assures him that she has evidence…photos, witnesses…and the press will eat up everything; so Olmo’s image will be in shredded in pieces.

The council meeting starts with Fausto at the head. He suggests a new line of hotels; they will be called “Economy Hotels” and they will be affordable for everyone. When Ivana points out that they have always targeted guests who have class and money and they don’t open their doors to just anyone, Fausto counters that they should not turn away any guests and their money. It’s time that they change their way of doing business; they should have a hotel Casares Economy in cities large and small…regardless of whether they have paved streets or not.

Melida tells Vera and her attorney that though the divorce is now in process, they still have to negotiate. The attorney tells her that they will not back down especially after the threat Olmo made. After Melida leaves, the attoney warns that Vera needs to watch what she says because it could beused against her. Vera insists that she doesn’t want any money, but the attorney reminds her that is not what Fausto wants.

The council meeting ends with Fausto stating that the name “Casares” will be associated with the term “accessible.” Gaston and Ivana don’t look impressed.

Vera tries to call Pedro but he is still with Marina and refuses the call since he thinks that his conversation with Marina is more important. Marina tells him that she wants their story to end precisely in the same place where it started.

Olmo shows up at the meeting. Fausto tells him that he is late but probably didn’t have much more to contribute.. When Fausto hands his proposal to Olmo, Olmo quickly looks at it and tells him that he is crazy. Fausto tells him that it doesn’t matter if he is in disagreement, the Council will vote on it the next day. Olmo snaps that only he, the president, can call for a vote…and he doesn’t feel liking seeing the shareholders.

Pedro thanks Marina and assures her that he will always be there for her….he loves her…they are siblings.

Fausto calls El Chamaco to assure him that the new line of hotels will ensure much more business for them. El Chamaco has hopes for more clean money and supports Fausto.

Olmo complains to Ivana that Fausto took over his office. Ivana tells him that they need to calm down and think clearly. They can’t give up...this is only one battle; they haven’t lost the war. Olmo then curses the day he met Vera who filed a complaint against him and threatened to go to the press…but Vera will not get one more peso from him! Ivana comments that no one hates Vera more than she, but suggests that Olmo negotiate with Vera and give her what she wants….they need to avoid a scandal.

Yay! Vera FINALLY files charges against Olmo complete with photos. Took her long enough.

When Pedo declared that the nightmare was over last night I had to laugh. It was a bit premature.

I so enjoyed Fausto doing taking control of the corporation with his idea for the Cáceres economy hotels and ubiquitous money laundering sites.

Bonfire time! I didn’t know old Olmo could move so quickly when I saw him cleaning out Vera’s belongings. That was comical.

Should be another entertaining one tonight.

You captured all the events with your always superior perception and wit RgvChick. Another outstanding title and quote.

A few of my favorite quotes were regarding Ivana: “Refresh” tears” and “Her heart (which she doesn’t have) is broken” were among them.

There were several happy scenes for me.

First, Octavio and Emilia. An utter surprise but it makes marvelous sense. They looked like a family already. As you noted, Emilia saw Faby throwing the pasta in the garbage. If anyone can soothe the savage hurts Ivana’s cruelty has inflicted, it is Emilia.

Delia getting her just back pay and thanks to Marina and Laiza, taking it! Money isn’t dirty if you earned it honestly.

Pedro and Marina clearing the air, being the brother and sister they were meant to be.

Bernardo made the naïve mistake in asking Lola about Vera. Lola, already losing the love of her life to Vera, rightly questioned why he asked. His comforting answer that he wants to find out more about her will hopefully quell any jealousy. She need not be worried here.
From the sweet to the sour. “Pedro cries on Teo’s shoulder…He is sure that Julio has not lost hope and he has always been Vera’s accomplice”. Pedro is hopeless.

I sort of smirked at Olmo’s little fire. As Stella, Angela Bassett did it better to the point that the Fire Department was called!

Jarifa, I thought it was so stupid of Pedro to say that the nightmare was over...he's not just dazed and confused, he's delusional. And yes, Olmo almost forgot to limp as he went through that house like a little tornado :-D

Looks like some of the storylines are starting to be wrapped up. I'm glad Marina and Pedro are now back to being what they always should have been--loving brother and sister.

Octavio. Emilia and the kids did look a family...I hope it comes to be a permanent arrangement. Those kids deserve the love of both these kind, loving parents. Amazing how Octavio has just recently taken on the role o f"father" and he is already much better at it that Faby's incubator.

TU AMOR ep. 11

Beba melts down during the assault on Yolanda's office. The thieves have been told there is a lot of money there and they are desperate to find the safe. Luckily Valentina is able to remain calm and deescalate the situation. She hands over some petty cash and convinces the thieves that some clothes on a rack in the office are worth a lot of money. They grab the cash and some clothes, make some threats, and take off. Later, Beba tells Val that she owes her her life but they can never be friends. When Yolanda gets back, she tells them she knows who did it and she's sure they had an accomplice on the inside. She asks Valentina why she was dining with Helena's lawyer. Val didn't even know her cousin worked for Helena until later. Yolanda says she doesn't trust her so Val decides to quit. Yolanda says for her to wait. She was only testing her. She can can continue with her designs. After Val leaves, Yolanda tells Beba that Val will get the boot right after the show. You'll see how.

Yolanda tells Patricia some things about Guillermo's wife Estela as they sip some mimosas in an outdoor restaurant. Estela never appreciated Guillermo. When Estela died in an accident, Yolanda didn't marry him because of Helena. She doesn't provide details but does say he kicked Helena out of the house the day her mother died. After that he became bitter. Patricia asks Yolanda if she knew Estela. She sure did. She says Estela was a slut. She was Yolanda's first seamstress. She had two. Estela and Consuelo. Some day she'll tell Patricia about her. That's another story.

Tia Adalaida is at Helena's house. She wants to move in. Helena tells her of course. We'll fetch all your stuff tomorrow. Adalaida says that nothing is stopping her now that Alfonso is gone. She'll be there tomorrow. That will make Helena the happiest person in the world. She says that Alfonso is probably cheering right now because they'll be together. Later, Patricia has a talk with Adalaida. She suspects that Gullermo must be interested in finding the two girls because they are his daughters. Adalaida confirms this but says only one is his daughter and he wants to leave everything he has to her. Adalaida has to stay and help her get any information she can about the girls. And no matter what, Helena can't discover that she has a sister. Adalaida agrees.

At the hospital conference room Dr Rosamaria is only lukewarm about the proposal to make her the director. She's all about tending to patients and saving lives. She's not an administrator. She'll think it over for a few days and then give a response.

Majo asks Leonardo if she can come into his office. She feels bad about what happened and wants to talk about it face to face. He locks the door behind her as she enters. She's been drinking. She wants to tell him the truth about the other day. When she saw him kissing Helena it made her jealous. She's been in love with Leonardo since the first day. She only wants one thing from him. A kiss. He peeks through the blinds to make sure no one is around. He gives her a kiss and the next thing you know they're putting their clothes back on. He brags that he doesn't need drugs to win over a woman. Now they're more than friends. More united than ever. One day she'll understand.

 

TU AMOR ep. 11 Part 2

At Consuelo's house, she tries to comfort a crying Camila. Camila doesn't want to listen to lies, encouragement, and positive thinking. She feels like a monster. She wants to live as a cloistered nun where no one can see her face. Hector says that the photographer is going to pay. Nora adds that the paparazzi don't care who they hurt. They've driven people to suicide. That makes Connie really uncomfortable. After Camila goes to bed, Connie asks Nora not to tell Horacio about being threatened by the hoods in the street. Of course she blabs to Horacio the first chance she gets.

Enrique is with Guillermo in the yard. Enrique thinks Armando must have been desperate to borrow money from Helena. He can't believe that Patricia and Ricardo didn't know. Guillermo wants Enrique to get Helena to sell him the ranch. Enrique wonders when Guillermo is going to tell Patricia that she's losing evrything her father left her. Guillermo says she'll survive. Business is business. She's not his daughter-in-law anymore.

Helena tells her new suppliers that they won't regret signing with her. They almost backed out because of all the constant scandals on the internet. Leonardo gets mad because he wasn't invited to the signing. Claudio tells him to lower his voice and get out of his office until he can calm down. Leonardo rants that he's going to kill that guy. Helena overhears him and thinks he's talking about the photographer. She's afraid that Hector might do something. Leo plays along and says he'll have a talk with his brother.

Hector asks a friend at work (Denise) to help him set up the photographer. She agrees. When the photographer shows up looking for Denise she says she has information for him. Every night a celebrity shows up at a nearby garage to buy drugs. The photographer offers her money for the tip and will double it when he gets the photos. When he leaves, Denise texts that the fish took the bait. The photographer shows up at Hector's garage saying that Denise sent him. Hector asks him if he makes a lot of mney for his pictures. That depends. His last job. The girl with the ruined face paid great. She hollered like a stuck pig though. Hector grabs his face and tells him, the one that's going to be screaming is YOU!

Helena comes to Consuela's house looking for Hector. Mina answers the door and Helena is shocked to find out she is Hector's daughter.

Some of the couples now have their happy endings; Marina and Andres, Lola and Bernardo, Pedro and Marina as brother and sister and Faby, Octavio, Eddy and Emilia as family. I do think that Emilia will help Faby deal with her past eating disorder and negative self concept caused by Ivanna.
Pedro is still an absolute jerk and now even Julio has lost my respect. Pedro’s continuing jealousy is not worthy of a galan and Julio just doesn’t get that Vera thinks of him only as a friend!

Several surprises and the absolute worst was Majo and Leonardo. And here I thought intuition and common sense made her suspect Leo drugged Helena. Alas, it was only jealousy. What a disappointment!!

"Beba tells Val that she owes her her life but they can never be friends". Only in telenovelas!

Thank you for supplying dialog for everything especially the scene with Hector and the reprehensible photographer. I have to admit that Hector's biceps commanded my full attention and I was completely distracted.

So Helena was kicked out of her house the day her mother died? We don't really know the reason behind Helena's estrangement with her father, right?

Is there any scene where Nora is not eating? For a tiny little thing she sure packs the food away. Guess she is just going to sponge off everyone else.

So Yolanda plans to kick Val to the curb sooner rather than later. I can't wait for Val to go to work for Helena (speculation not spoiler).

Embajador #49 part 1

To the tune of ‘Deniz Üstü Köpürür’, Sancar pays a nighttime visit to Akin and gives him the death stare and a slight nod to let him know his time is coming. Nare is on the phone with Gediz, who is still searching everywhere for Akin.

Next morning, Melek is back at work with her father and Zehra. Zehra think the Kahraman deal is a good one. The marina will be a lucrative business. Melek raises her arms and exclaims, yes, my marina! Zehra looks puzzled. Sancar tells her that Melek owns his shares. Now Zehra looks a bit worried and asks why. Sancar smiles, it’s the first company we own together. A man comes in to tell Sancar, “I got him”, and Sancar tells Zehra he will be back.

Zehra sends a text to Nare: “He transferred his shares to Melek”. Nare realizes this is one step closer to the end.

Necdet is being held in the factory. Right away Necdet starts, let me go, BIL. You already threw my sister out of your house. Will you beat me? You have no shame… Sancar tells him to shut up and signals for his men to leave them alone. We will get divorced, Sancar tells Necdet. Necdet objects, you accepted her and now you throw her away? Sancar steps closer to Necdet who cowers. Don’t talk as if you care about your sister. I know you’re only after my money. Necdet pretends to be offended saying he’s not that kind of person.

Sancar would love to beat Necdet but he resists and says he will pay him. For what, Necdet asks? Sancar tells him to relax, he doesn’t have to work. He will make a monthly deposit for the rest of his life. Necdet is pleasantly surprised and we are not surprised he changes his tune on the divorce.

Sancar sets the conditions. You will look after Menekse from now on, he tells Necdet, her life is in your hands. In addition, you will stay away from my family, especially Nare. He warns Necdet if he makes a mistake there will be no money. Zehra has been listening in and texts Nare with this news. Nare knows this is yet another step closer.

Dudu brings Nare a big basket of fruit, meat and cheese. Dudu clears her throat and asks, so which one of the two are you taking on a picnic? Nare throws her out.

Zehra continues to update Nare: “the lawyer is here. My brother is signing the documents.” Next, Guven shows up at the olive grove. Zehra texts again. Nare is increasingly worried. She hurries off with her picnic basket.

Sancar meets with Guven in the factory. Sancar takes out Melek’s ID card. She’s under my custody, he says. Guven gets snarky, good for you, do you want a hug? Why did you call me here? Sancar hands Guven a thick envelope and says, I know you don’t do anything for free. This will assure you will give custody of Melek to her mother. This is the payment. Guven doesn’t understand and Sancar says it doesn’t matter. I already spoke to my lawyer and he will take care of the documents, he tells Guven. Sancar asks him not to cause anymore trouble, just go away.

Guven flips through the wad of bills. He wonders what’s up, why is Sancar so calm. But he has his money and doesn’t really care about an answer. Sancar wasn’t going to explain anyway. As Guven leaves, Sancar calls out to him, have you ever loved your daughter? Why do you despise her? Guven replies, you wouldn’t understand [none of us understand], but I do love her a lot. Sancar tells him to get out.

It’s a busy day at the olive grove, Elvan is next to arrive. She greets Melek and Zehra and heads to the factory to speak with Sancar. I considered you family, she tells him. What now, Sancar asks? She wants to confirm if he asked Necdet to take care of Menekse. She follows it up with, when will we kill Akin? Shocked Sancar tells her to shut up.

Embajador #49 part 2

Elvan will not shut up. You are about to take a man’s life and you’re yelling, shut up Elvan, shut up Elvan. She does this imitating Sancar. She asks, who will look after me? Yahya is useless. Sancar tells her she doesn’t need to be taken care of. You’re a very strong woman, he tells her. Elvan nods and counters, but what about Nare?

This gets to him, he listens. Elvan begins, don’t tell me you will ask Gediz, because you know exactly what is going to happen. You know it’s true, this is how the world works. They will forget about you. Sancar wants her to stop—Elvan! Elvan continues, let’s say Gediz doesn’t try to seduce Nare. She will certainly cry in his arms. The two of them are very attached. The pain of losing you will strengthen their bond. Tell me did you wait for her? You married Menekse. Why would she wait for you? Nare and Gediz talk about keeping an eye on Sancar and finding Akin. No new developments. She will be in touch after her picnic.

Refika is ticked with both her kids. Gediz is never home and Muge stays in her room most of the time. I never see my children face to face, she complains. I have to play cards alone. Gediz says he will talk to Muge and they can play cards tonight, but he has to leave now. Refika is still worried about Muge. She hasn’t been going to work. Gediz sighs and says he will see her before he goes.

Gediz goes to his sister. She’s knitting. Muge asks, did you find him? No. Gediz jokes and asks if she’s knitting a shroud in case Akin dies. Not a bad idea, Muge replies. She doesn’t have anything else to do with her time. Gediz thinks it would be good for Muge to go back to work. She says she can’t because she’s quit. You quit?

That’s right, Muge says, when I look in the mirror, I don’t recognize the psychopath in front of me. You said so, too, nine years. Gediz tries to explain, I said that because I was very upset. Muge says, it’s true and I’m a very bad psychologist. Gediz wishes Muge was not so hard on herself.

Muge just wants to forget about what she did. I almost killed him, remember? I was like a serial killer. But this is not me. I think I’m going crazy little by little, she tells her brother. Gediz sympathizes, one needs to be a little crazy to endure this cruel life. I understand you. Can I count on your support, she asks? Always, sister. I’ve lost my mind too, he says, pain can drive people crazy. We choose the craziness and not the pain. I was blind to your pain, Gediz says, forgive me. Then he adds, but you really went crazy. Muge laughs.

Muge says, you know, I’m just like Kahraman. His anger completely took over and that’s what happened to me. Gediz says she hasn’t mentioned Kahraman in years. She remembered him after she locked Akin in the bathroom. Pain can make anyone go crazy. Let Kahraman go crazy, Gediz says, because he shouldn’t have done what he did.

Kahraman brings Guven to the marina. This is it, he tells Guven, its value is 40 million. Do you think your investors will be interested? There are always interested investors, it depends on finding the right contacts, Guven replies. Find them and you can have an executive position here, Kahraman promises, you have my word. They shake on it. Will Guven go into business with Kahraman?

Nare arrives at the olive grove. Zehra tells her Melek is at the plant and Sancar is in the office. Sancar is not in the office. Nare panics, no, Sancar please tell me you haven’t gone…. She runs out of the office.

Embajador #49 part 3

Teary Sancar is out walking on the grounds. He sits under a tree with memories of Nare helping him with the olive harvest when they were little. He says to himself, did you really think that this would be the end of our story?

Nare finds him. Sancar! I was terrified…I was terrified! She’s sobbing. Here I am, he says. She blurts out, I’ll forgive you, if you stay forever. He is stunned. You forgive me? She nods and says, only if you don’t kill Akin. Sancar looks hopeful but then he takes a look into her eyes. He can see right through her and calls her out. Your look gives you away, he says. She admits she lied. I can’t forgive you, she cries. Don’t worry he says, don’t do it. Don’t forgive me. He hangs his head.

Can we take Melek to the heaven? To heaven, Sancar asks? What do you think if we travel to Senekoy? I brought food for a picnic. Maybe it will change your mind. If not, Melek will have a nice memory with her father. He agrees.

Gediz arrives at Kahraman’s marina. What the hell do you want, Kahraman? I was wondering how you are, Gediz replies. Everything is fine, Kahraman says, and your sister? Can she drive now? Gediz ignores that remark but it does bother him. He asks Kahraman, did you find any investors? If you don’t, we’ll get your shares. Shut up, Kahraman says, neither I nor my partners will sell you a single share.

Gediz laughs. Kahraman says, you’re facing the angel of death; you and your partner are playing with fire. Gediz plays his hand and shows Kahraman him the paper says that says Sadiclar acquired 51 percent of the marina. Your partners sold their shares to us and we will invest more. Gediz informs Kahraman, if you can’t pay, you’re the one in trouble. It looks like you don’t know who the angel of death is in this situation. With that, Gediz leaves. Kahraman does his angry thing and breaks his string of prayer beads. Lol.

The family of three arrive at the beach. [Really Nare, boots at the beach?] Melek asks where did you meet? Go ahead, show her and tell her about our story, Nare says, I’d like to hear it from your voice. If you say so, Sancar responds, ok Nare. Come Melek.

I met your mother here for the first time. Really? I got out of the water and she was here. Melek asks, and when you saw her, did you like her? You said, “how beautiful”. I know it was love at first sight, she says with certainty. Sancar smiles that special smile at Nare and she smiles back. No not at all, Sancar says to Melek, I saw how she looked at me, with admiration, and with that strange hair. Nare has a big smile. Sancar continues, Wow, I thought, that girl fell in love with me.

Nare begs to differ, you’re wrong. My hairstyle was beautiful. I was surprised that you saw me when you came out of the sea. I was whiter than cotton. That’s right, you were, Sancar says. You were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, he says while looking at her as only he can. The most beautiful woman I have ever known. Then he adds, after my daughter, of course. He gives Melek a kiss.

Melek asks, was this the day you gave my mother the seashell she kept? Yes. She still keeps it, you know. [IIRC, both halves are now buried beneath the tree] Sancar tells Melek, it was our engagement ring. Melek didn’t know that. Who had that idea? Your mother, of course, Sancar replies, I didn’t have the money for a ring. I didn’t even know how many zeros there were in a million. Nare says not to overdo it. She taught him to count when they met.

Embajador #49 part 4

Sancar continues, she knew I didn’t have money for the ring, and she would not marry me without one so luckily, I found the shell. Nare asks Sancar to tell the story the right way. Okay, okay… the idea of using the shell was your mother’s. She took the shell out of her bag and told me, “here are our rings”. What did you say, Melek asks? I said it was a good idea. Nare notices Sancar isn’t wearing his wedding ring. He notices her looking and puts his hand behind his back.

Nare says, let’s eat. They spread the blanket and arrange the food.

Loki drives by with a friend. He checks out the picnickers for a minute. His friend wonders why they stopped there, the guys are waiting for them. Loki tells his buddy to watch the way he talks. Loki says he’s going to take this opportunity that has presented itself to him. He drives off.

Sancar’s phone rings. It’s Hasan. The doctor left and he said that Akin is fine. Nare looks at Sancar. He puts his phone away and tells Nare it’s nothing. A drink is spilled and Sancar says he will go back to the truck to get a towel. His smile fades as he walks a few steps. He sighs and turns to look at Nare and Melek for the last time. Tears well up and he turns to go.

He meets Karvuk by his truck. Sancar hands him Melek’s ID. Kavruk wipes away a tear. I will leave and I will not return, Sancar tells Kavruk, my fate is written. He says, give me your blessing (he’s asking for forgiveness for any wrongs—hakkini helal et). Kavruk gives it—helal olsun. They are crying. Now give me yours, Kavruk asks. Helal olsun, Sancar smiles through the tears. Sancar drives off.

Nare sees Kavruk and realizes that Sancar is gone. Tears fall. Melek has no idea of what is happening. Nare tells her daughter she will be back in a minute and goes to speak with Kavruk. He gives her Melek’s ID. The time has come, Kavruk says. Nare and Kavruk both cry. Time for what? Kavruk sadly nods. Nare sobs and clutches the ID close.

And we are out and I am off to watch the gran final from Turkey.

AMOR. Thank you for the excellent recap, JoelD! I wonder who told the thieves there was a lot of money at Yolanda's. And man! Valentina is so brave and unflappable. What a hero! She deserves an incredibly happy ending. I wonder if Yolanda really knows who was behind the attack. And yep, Diana. Yolanda is still up to her nasty tricks. She'll let Valentina finish all her designs and then fire her. Nora is both tactless and unfeeling. Neither Camila's desire to be a nun nor being bombarded by paparazzi is funny. And mentioning suicide is beyond the pale. Guillermo is also incredibly unfeeling. The writers keep dropping clues. Valentina could be Guillermo's daughter because she and Helena share a talent for design, or Nora could be Guillermo's daughter because they are both unfeeling. Hmmm.

I am so frustrated with San and Nare. When you are lucky enough to find the love of your life, you hang on no matter what. Love forgives all things. When one of you leaves this earth, the other will grieve forever. I cant stand to see the heartache San and Nare are inflicting on each other and poor, innocent Melek . By not forgiving , the bad guys Akin and Guven are winners. The best revenge would be living a good life togetber as a happy family and closing tbe door on the past.

San seems to always be paying off miserable people like Guven and Necdet.

So, San must have been feeding Akin and having him checked out by the doctor....so be could kill him ? Sorry i just don't get it. Maybe i am too pragmatic .

Fausto is enjoying rubbing Olmo's nose in it. I am amazed that Olmo isnt freaking out more in the oresebce of the person responsible for torturing him and causing him to lose his leg .

Emilia will be good for Faby . She is a goodhearted person and a lovibg mother. Are tbsy hinting at a relationship between Emilia and Octavio?

Gas is a lost soul , i fear .

I am glad that Delia got some money after all those years of devoted service to this dysfunctuional family.

Marina has sure changed . I guess we are supposed to believe that she nust needed to be adored .
 

No your not too pragmatic susyQ. You do live your best life after you forgive the person that's done you wrong. That way your not held back By all that heavy baggage. But the 2 of them thrive on it. If the looks could kill akin would have been a dead a long time ago cuz the the looks sancar gives akin are like crazy death stares. I wonder if they laugh And have to cut to do the scene all Over again. That man has gorgeous eyes. Im sure his wife thinks so too.

Thats what I about when I saw olmo and Ivana get all of Vera's things and put them in the bag and take them outside but Stella she just got all of them out and stuck them in his fancy car out front of the house and set everything on fire and then lit up a cigarette and had that sexy Swagger back to the house oldmo couldn't do that cuz he probably would have to hobble back because he has a prosthetic leg.

The main reason Sancar has kept Akin alive was so he could get his affairs in order. I’m sure he also enjoyed the mental torture this gave Akin.

My comment on the fire is that Olmo was damned lucky that the nearby shrubs didn't catch fire because even a little wind could have caused that in no time. That would have destroyed his entire property.

Fausto's "economy" hotel scheme could have multiple consequences: It will compromise the image of the luxury hotels while providing venues for more crime along the way. That is, if there is adequate capital to build in every town. It could bankrupt Olmo quickly or over a short period of years, but it will drive him nuts either way.

The only way anyone will be safe at the end is if Fausto and Olmo kill each other and somehow take Ivana with them.

Nare has been working overtime to stop Sancar from executing Akin....unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working. I thought Melek would be the key to him changing his mind but looks like his thoughts about her are to secure her future instead of being there for her. It has been fun watching him torture Akin with what he has in store for him. Keeping him alive so he can kill him his way....good one.

I too noticed that Sancar kept putting money in the hands of the underserving Guven. Sancar understands that Guven is motivated by money but I just wanted Sancar to just beat the info out of him. He doesn't deserve a dime. It's horrible that such a money grubbing horrible person like Guven continues to get paid.

Sancar did ask 1 question I've been wondering...does Guven love Nare at all? Why does he treat her the way he does as if she's more of an acquaintance to him vs a daughter. Guven response leads me to believe there's more to this story...so hope we get to hear it. Maybe he never wanted kids...or wanted a son...or maybe he didn't love the mother....or is Nare really his. Hopefully this question is answered because despite Guven's love for money....there's got to be more as to why he allowed Nare to be abused and tortured by Akin. Also hoping we learn more about Nare and Melek's life the prior 8 years?

ACUERDAS Episode 66 How the Mighty Have Fallen Part 1

A great storm is coming but the tide has turned - Tolkien

Previously: Olmo rues the day he and Vera met. Livid that Vera has filed a complaint and threatened to wage a war in the media, Olmo seems steadfast in vowing Vera will not get another red cent from him! However, Ivana, always the practical, conniving, opportunist, urges they calm down and strategize. She and Olmo may have lost the round but the fight isn’t over. Although Ivana despises Vera, she suggests they cede to Vera’s demands. They have much to contend with and need to avoid any further public spectacle.

J-ass offers Julio tequila. Fausto comes around the corner and toasts that their plan worked. Julio is upset that they planned to have Pedro overhear his conversation with Vera. Fausto tells Julio (being honest and upfront for once) that Vera does not reciprocate his feelings.

Alicia’s confab with Laiza and Lola ends as Beelzebub calls. She asks Bernardo to turn the music down so she can hear Fausto’s sweet, lying musings. He invites Alicia to his home to listen to music (which he has playing in the background). They phone flirt. Alicia suggests that they start their day with breakfast. Fausto thinks that he has Alicia’s trust but she says she only knows that he was a victim of Olmo’s greed. She makes it clear that she will not forgive any lies. She isn’t really falling for this is she the patio asks incredulously? After he hangs up J-ass (who doesn’t seem to have learned he doesn’t need to utter every thought he has) asks about Alicia. Fausto angrily answers “obvio”.

Lola sees a text for Bernardo from Regina. She looks confused.

Julio meets with Vera who tells him that her meeting with Olmo was a horror show. He professes to be sorry for what happened and just wants her to know that he will be there for her. The only thing he wants is for her to be happy (liar). He wants to make a pact to be friends and they shake on it.

Mélida stands up on a chair with rolling wheels and as she reaches for a ledger, falls, hitting the ground hard. Gaston comes in and immediately calls an ambulance.

ACUERDAS Episode 66 How the Mighty Have Fallen Part 2

Under the watchful eye of Alma’s portrait, Ivana seeks to not only emulate Alma’s “look” but to perfect it. Thank you she whispers to Alma, further promising she will take care of her husband. What a caring, thoughtful sister. Seeing her, Olmo notices the mirror image asking Ivana why she combed her hail like Alma. He then says they are at their worst right now and she is pressuring him to go public with their relationship. He throws dishes and the tablecloth in a furious frenzy.

Lola has her grand opening. A beaming Marina and Andres are among the guests. Vera notices that Lola is worried and asks why. Lola admits she saw a message for Bernie from Regina and she has no idea who she is!

We next see a trio of hotties -Teo, Gonzo and Pedro. On second thought, make that a double – I’m not counting perpetually sour Pedro! Gonzo asks Pedro directly as to whether or not he definitely saw Julio kissing Vera. He admits he didn’t and that it was Fausto who told him about the kiss. Gonzo reminds him that he refuses to be on Fausto’s team so Fausto is trying to make trouble for him! Pedro thanks them for listening. But he still doesn’t think that he and Vera could have a chance...or if it’s even worth fighting for. Viewerville sighs and agrees it is becoming sadly transparent that Pedro is the one who is not fighting for.

Pedro questions Vera AGAIN about Julio, accusing her of kissing him. She denies it, telling him the truth but he doesn’t listen even when she says I love you. In a jealous haze from which he cannot escape, he persists and in utter frustration, Vera tells him he sounds exactly like Olmo! Vera turns to find Marina watching her.

Meanwhile the table has been cleaned up as Ivana and Olmo finish eating. Olmo says that everyone abandoned him and Ivana answers, assuring him that she will always be by his side. Sloppy kissing ensues.

Mélida is in the hospital with Gaston by her side. She is understandably worried as Gaston urges her to breathe. She says she isn’t feeling the baby move but the doctor reassures them that the baby is fine. She will continue to remain under observation.

Olmo reassures Ivana that she is all he needs. She doesn’t have to dress like Alma; he wants her as she is. She is the only one who loves him without secrets or lies.

Fausto writes Alicia a love letter and sends her an album and other presents. Alicia muses that since Fausto is so sensitive, he just can’t be a murderer! An internal battle within herself is raging.

Vera, Lola, Laiza and Marina have a girl’s night out. Marina gest a love text from Andres asking she not be out too late. Everyone is so happy for her especially Laiza. Marina and Vera have a heart to heart. Marina generously hopes that Vera will be happy with Pedro. Vera admits to trouble in paradise, telling them about Pedro’s hissy fit because he thought she kissed Julio. Vera swears that of course she didn’t. Lola rightfully says “I told you so” and that Julio never stopped being obsessed with Vera.

Gaston gets a call from Laiza. Immediately alert, he asks if she is all right. Yes, but Laiza wonders if he has stopped loving her. This is not the time he answers. He needs to be with his son...and with Mélida. Laiza seems shaken but really, what did she expect? He made his choice.

Vera arrives home to a drunken Fausto, dancing and celebrating he has taken just about everything Olmo has and soon, the coffin will be closed on the damned one. Vera insists that she doesn’t want vengeance, but Fausto tells her it is too late...their plans are in full force. Vera refuses to allow Fausto to take advantage of her divorce to continue his vengeance. She is not a bargaining chip! She sometimes thinks that Fausto believes he is a god.

In Olmo’s almost empty cold and austere mansion, he and Ivana sleep.

Vera tells Julio (quite sternly) that he is causing her many problems with Pedro. I care about you but you need to stay away from me.

El Chamaco meets with Fausto who brags about how he has defeated Olmo. He mentions the new hotels and adds that Olmo is holding them back. El Chamaco interjects that he will handle Olmo. He calls Ivana and wants his money. Now. Olmo tells him that he just need time, but El Chamaco insists that he will pick ir up at Olmo’s house today.

Vera meets with Teo to talk about Fausto who is pressuring her to use the divorce as a means of vengeance but Vera doesn’t want vengeance she wants justice!

Olmo and Silvio visit his accountant but is told they don’t have the amount of money he is asking for.

Lola shows up at work with sunglasses that cannot hide her hangover. What is the matter Bernardo asks noticing Lola’s odd behavior. She tells him that she found out that her ex was definitely in love with her friend. When Bernardo assures her that he wants to be with her, she tells him she doesn’t want to be with anyone, but if they are to give themselves a chance they should tell each other everything. She asks who Regina is. Bernardo tells her that Regina is his 15 year-old daughter. It hasn’t been long since he left his wife...and he never thought he would find someone so special so soon. Lola suggests that they agree to be partners in business and in love. Lola is relieved and kisses are shared.

You have a magnificent collection a jeweler tells Ivana. However, he isn’t willing to pay what she wants. A little negotiating and the deal is done. She turns her back and crocodile tears ensue.

Fausto may not move at the speed of lightening but this courtship has taken the Acela Express. Fausto continues to shower Alicia with gifts. He doesn’t want her to feel pressured and tells her to take her time in responding to him (I believe he wants her as his life partner). He waited all his life to meet her; he can wait a few days to get her answer.

Olmo is counting out his money as El Chamaco and his thugs arrive for his money, or for vengeance. El Chamaco tells Ivana and Olmo that this ridiculous amount of money is an insult! They try to blame Alberto who they say is guilty and don’t think they should be blamed for Alberto’s mistakes. Erroneously believing that no one is immune to her charms, Ivana asks how much El Chamaco wants for her. El Chamaco replies, “Nothing!” He already got what he wanted from her and he doesn’t like seconds. I’ll add “sloppy” as the patio is relishing her being mortified.

Vera and Teo meet with a reporter and Vera relates her sad, sordid story. They hug as Vera concludes her interview. Teo could not believe all that Vera went through.

Octavio has a guest and it’s Emilia!!! Sit he says. Emilia admits this isn’t easy for her and she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it but Faby isn’t eating enough. Surprised, Octavio thinks she is eating well since she ate all the quesadillas he gave her. She tells him that if he looks in the trash, he will find all the quesadillas. As we breathe a sigh of relief the trash hasn’t been taken out, Octavio sees the food confirming Emilia’s statements.

Olmo and Ivana continue their talk with El Chamaco. In a last ditch effort, Olmo asks what they can give him to make up for the deficit? El Chamaco suggests his company or his mansion. When Olmo refuses both, El Chamaco asks what he has to offer...his children’s lives? Olmo rises in fury as Ivana holds him back.

Vera tells Pedro that what happened was just a misunderstanding (as I roll my eyes). She asks if he can forgive her (for what I scream) but I am unheard as Pedro stares stonily but takes a few steps forward into Vera’s arms. Sigh.

In the last scene, El Chamaco’s men standing on guard, Olmo and Ivana, out of money, out of time and out of luck are out of the house, taking the walk of shame down the steps. In a last dagger to the heart, El Chamaco waves to them from the balcony.

I was left imagining the portrait of Alma looking down at El Chamaco and the gang at the dinner table.

Another fave was: 'Erroneously believing that no one is immune to her charms, Ivana asks how much El Chamaco wants for her. El Chamaco replies, “Nothing!” He already got what he wanted from her and he doesn’t like seconds. I’ll add “sloppy” as the patio is relishing her being mortified.'


Diana, in an ideal novela world, Vera would be staying single. Pedro is no galán and it is too late for any substantive change in the poorly created and written character.

I thought it was a little odd that they had Alicia wanting to quote Churchill and being plied with the tango music of Carlos Gardel who was an oldie when I was a kid many moons ago. I guess she is an educated fan of the classics but it made me feel she was older than she was supposed to be. Fausto did hit a homerun with the LP and record player. I hope he doesn't have an ulterior motive that is fueling his pursuit of her since he is a rat in his own right.

It felt good to see these reptiles' desperation. Ivana made the mistake of trying o become Alma's double, so I am wondering if there is a past example of a villana doing this after having murdered her sister. We still need to hear about that.

I had almost forgotten about the lost money, but that had to have consequences. El Chamaco is a dirtbag but probably would not have risked killing Olmo's children because he would not have gotten anything out of that.

The fact that Olmo now has nothing should be sufficient revenge, especially when Vera's interview goes public. Then he will have less than nothing because that will be sufficient to collapse whatever business assets he still has.

Fausto must be lining Alicia up as his next victim. I'm sure his assets are in the Caymans or in Switzerland so he will not lose that much when Caceres Holdings is worth less than the paper it's printed on.

With only ten episodes left, can we discuss Karmageddon?

Urban, I am surprised and perplexed that Alicia is even considering Fausto. Another example of good business sense but none regarding personal relationships.

Of course, he has insidious plans for her. The only person we've seen that he cared about was Tadeo. And Eddy in that he likely wanted to mold him in his likeness as J-ass is an obvious dissappointment.

Karmegeddon will be interesting!

That Faby has anorexia is no surprise. Her egg donor has done nothing to build any sense of self-esteem in her, as all she does is criticize her and rip her down.

I don't remember saying this, but Olmo's constant accusations against Pedro about "destroying the family" are sheer narcissistic projection. He began the destruction himself by not recognizing Marina's mental issues and by forcing Pedro to marry her. Pedro was then a normal guy forced into a toxic situation. He should have gotten plastic surgery and split under a new name.

AMOR.I don't quite understand what Yolanda has against Valentina--except maybe her relation to Claudio since he's Helena's lawyer? Or is she jealous because Valentina is so talented? That criticism of her designs seems to have just been a test--though kind of a sadistic one. I loved Helena's hat when she was talking to Hector! And now we know a little more of Hector's backstory. Nora and Horacio seem to be bonding--funny!
 

Embajador #50 part 1

Sancar arrives at the mill. He orders Hasan to leave. Sancar kicks open the door and shuts it behind him. Sancar focuses on the 100 million written on the wall. He looks all around. Do you know where you are, he asks Akin? Yes, you remember. I’m sure you know why I brought you here.

Flashback to when Sancar and Nare were little. Nare has brought Akin to meet Sancar and Kavruk at the mill. Nare introduces the boys to Akin, he is my brother, I told you about him, he lives with us. She tells Akin, see its exactly how I told you, like in the fairy tales. Little Akin tells Nare he will buy it for her. Sancar asks how. Akin replies, I can buy it. My mother and father died and they left me a lot of money. How much, Sancar asks? Akin is not sure but it’s somewhere around 100 million.

Sancar asks Kavruk how many zeroes are there in 100 million. They count on fingers but aren’t sure. Nare says, let’s see. She writes on the wall with a piece of coal. Yep, there are eight. Sancar looks at the figure and asks Akin, would you rather have the money or your parents. I’d give 100 million to have one more day by my dad’s side, Akin says sadly. Sancar puts his hand on Akin’s shoulder then hugs him. End of flashback.

Sancar opens the knife. He takes the tape off Akin’s mouth. You are a bastard, Sancar growls. Akin starts pleading, Sancar you are making a big mistake. Silence, Sancar says, I was wrong to have mercy on a bastard like you, but now I’ll do the right thing and end your life right here. This is the end.

Sancar moves into place behind Akin and puts the knife to his throat. Akin continues to plead, Sancar, let’s talk, please. Please don’t do this. These will be your last words, Sancar tells him. Sancar braces himself for the execution. It’s clearly not easy for him to do this and he takes some deep breaths. Just as he is about to slit Akin’s throat, a car horn sounds over and over. Akin yells for help. Sancar quickly tapes Akin’s mouth and runs out to see it’s Gediz.

Did you do it, Gediz asks? And he tries to get past Sancar into the mill. Sancar pushes him and yells, get out of here! Tell me if he’s still alive, Gediz asks. Sancar warns him this is none of his business.

Gediz says that Nare is on her way. Will you kill him in her presence? Sancar asks Gediz to stop her and he goes back inside to Akin. Gediz calls out, I’ll get closer. Sancar turns around. If you kill him, you will make her cry, Gediz says, I’ll will wipe her tears. I will not let them fall from her face. I’ll console her. Sancar walks back to Gediz and shouts, follow the rules! Gediz shouts back, the rules no longer exist! Gediz adds, I you make her cry, I will comfort her. I will never leave her. I will take Nare and I will marry her.

Sancar is trying hard to hold back his anger. He says, I believe you Gediz, but I believe even more in Nare. She would never betray me. There is no place for anyone else in her heart. How do you know that, Gediz asks? With tears in his eyes, Sancar says, I believe her. Sancar goes back into the mill. Nare pulls up with Melek. She runs out of the car, Melek following.

Once again, Sancar is about to slit Akin’s throat and this time Nare bursts in. She gasps, Sancar! He turns around, stunned. Don’t become a murderer, she begs. Melek is the best thing that has happened to us. She opens the door a little bit to reveal Melek outside. She continues, If I open the door, she will see everything. Enough, please, she says.

Sancar looks horrified at the thought. He looks at Akin. He looks at Nare…she nods. He drops the knife, runs to his daughter and embraces her. What are we doing here, Melek asks? Sancar replies, you are most beautiful, hija. Nare joins in the hug. Grateful tears flow. Gediz watches from a distance. Just as Melek saved her mother, she now saved her father.

Embajador #50 part 2

There’s a knock at Menekse’s door. She hopes it’s Sancar but it’s Loki. What the hell are you doing here, she asks? What happened to your hair, he asks. Okay, I’ll just say what I have to say, he tells her, I’ve seen your husband with the ambassador’s daughter at Senekoy. They looked so happy with their daughter. You should have seen them.

Menekse squeaks out, what? Loki asks her if it was it worth it to leave him for Sancar. Menekse starts to laugh. Loki stares at her. Her laugh turns into hysteria and then she suddenly stops and gasps in pain. She holds her stomach, yells and passes out. Atike hurries to her daughter, Menekse! Loki puts his hands up, he didn’t even touch her. There is blood on Menekse and on the floor. Is she pregnant? Did she have a miscarriage?

Kavruk and Nedim are carrying heavy stones to the car. Nedim asks what Mr. Sancar wants with them. Kavruk dodges the question. Alitke comes running through the mansion gate yelling for Halise. She tells Kavruk things are bad. Where is Halise? Kavruk goes in the house to get her.

Halise is in the bedroom with Gulsiye and Ayse, packing Menekse’s things. Make sure you get everything; we don’t want Atike showing up later. Halise also mentions that Sancar will no longer sleep in this room. Kavruk enters. Ayse smiles at Kavruk. He shies away from her gaze. Halise steps out with Kavruk. Ayse comments to Gulsiye, I see they were serious when they kicked Menekse out. Gulsiye wishes they would kick them all out and warns Ayse to be careful because Halise is unpredictable.

Halise goes out to meet Atike. Atike tells Halise, rewards are only for noble people, not those who abandon a pregnant woman. What are you talking about, Halise asks? My daughter is pregnant, Atike states. We took her to the hospital; her life is in danger! What? Halise and Kavruk are shocked. Where is Sancar, Atike asks? Menekse is alone and terrified for her baby! Where is her husband?

Sancar, Nare and Melek return to Nare’s house. Sancar gets a call from Halise but he doesn’t take it. Melek gives her hand to her father and asks him to come with her. They ring the bell and Elvan answers. Elvan is exited…you changed your mind? Sancar signals to watch what she says in front of Melek. Elvan tells them to come in. Sancar says he won’t. He asks Melek if she wants to go to work with him tomorrow. Yes. He will pick her up at 2p.

Melek proceeds to tell Elvan what she did today: she worked in the olive grove, then a picnic at the beach and then we went to the mill. But she doesn’t understand why they went to the mill. Melek says she doesn’t understand adults. Elvan takes Melek inside so her parents can talk.

Nare asks Sancar, will you turn Akin in to the police? Maybe. Would you have opened the door, he asks her? Would you have told her I was a murderer? Nare says no. You lied to me, Sancar asks? No, I believed in you, she replies. Sancar knows she always has believed in him and it’s easy for her to handle him.

He asks her about something she said to Gediz—"I couldn’t live without him”. Did you say it, he asks? Don’t worry, I won’t have false hope. I spared Akin but I still can’t forgive myself, he says. I need to know—why do you worry so much about me, Nare? Nare tries to find the words… it’s true I said I couldn’t live without you but I also said I learned to live without you. You want me alive but far away, Sancar says with a slight smile. Nare nods. Can you come to the shack tonight, he asks her? Nare says that’s impossible.

Ok, Sancar says, whatever you want. I understand. Away and alive. Then, asks Nare? I’m going to move on. We made a decision and we must live with it. I’ll try to look at it that way, he says.

Embajador #50 part 3

You haven’t killed Akin, you haven’t died and you are not in jail, Nare says, now we don’t know what awaits and you want to talk about it? I know you want to live alone with your daughter, he tells her, and I agree there’s no room for me in your future. What will I do? I have no reason to live. Let me feel useful. Let me do something for Melek, he says.

Like what, Nare asks? Sancar says he made a decision and he thinks she will be angry. He doesn’t want to argue in public. Nare coaxes it out of him. I bought the marina and I gave it to Melek, he tells her. I knew, she says. Did Gediz tell you, he asks, you didn’t mention it before? That’s because she was too busy trying to keep her daughter’s father from becoming a murderer. And you are right, she says, we would have argued. I’ll see you later, Sancar says before leaving. [Wow a conversation without shouting or crying. They both had smiles at the end. What’s happening?]

Gediz is at the mill and he slugs Akin. He’s just getting started. This is for my sister, wham! and this is for Zehra, pow! Get up, Gediz shouts and he gives Akin a good kick. Sancar shows up and is surprised. He’s unseen by Gediz and he watches and listens.
Akin tells Gediz, you hit me but you think about Sancar. What? Admit it, Akin says, the fact that he’ll keep the love of your life bothers you doesn’t it. You’re trying to confuse me and you failed, Gediz says. Gediz kicks Akin again. Don’t deny you envy Sancar, Akin taunts. I envy him, I envy him because his sister hit you while mine believed you. That’s why I envy him, Gediz shouts. He continues to kick Akin without mercy. [and we thought Sancar was a beast]

After more kicking, groaning and gasping, Akin tells Gediz, let’s put the sisters aside. I heard you would take Nare. Gediz replies, I said it so he wouldn’t kill you, idiot. A few more kicks to the ribs. Tell the truth, Akin says, part of you wanted Sancar to kill me so you could keep Nare. Look me in the eye and tell me. Sancar is listening intently.

Gediz answers, not everyone is the same as you. I’d never want my friend’s woman. I would never touch that woman with the same hands I use to embrace my friend. [I don’t know how Akin is surviving this beating. It’s brutal.] Gediz says, Sancar didn’t kill you so as not to upset Nare, but it would be ok if I killed you. Gediz kicks more and Akin screams in pain.

Sancar finally steps in and stops Gediz. That’s enough! Stop, friend. It’s my turn now, Sancar tells him and pushes Gediz outside. Gediz tries to catch his breath. Did you call me friend, he asks? You were about to kill him and you ask me that, Sancar wonders? Gediz realizes he lost control and went completely insane. Sancar tells Gediz to go home.

And you, Gediz asks? Kavruk is coming, Sancar replies, I won’t kill Akin. But he’s not going to release him. Sancar still wants to punish him. Sancar swears to Gediz that he won’t kill Akin. Gediz is satisfied with that and tells Sancar, I will keep my word, Nare will remain my friend as long as you live. But if something happens, no matter what it is, I will find a place in her heart. Understand? Sancar tells Gediz it’s okay, he understands why he says this but he warns him, too. I am a jealous man. Gediz leaves. Sancar sits on his truck and waits for Kavruk.

Zehra knocks at Nare’s door. Elvan answers and Zehra shouts, did my brother change… Elvan shushes her and pulls her outside. She gives Zehra the good news.

Embajador #50 part 4

Nare and Melek are making a cake. Melek has chocolate frosting all over her face. Elvan jokes with Zehra to tease Nare, will you come back tonight to congratulate Sancar with this delicious cake? Zehra says, will you meet my brother tonight? Nare reminds them he’s married. Elvan reminds her that he kicked Menekse out. Maybe he will divorce her.

Zehra gets a call from Gulsiye and takes a few steps away. Gulsiye suggests she buy cologne on the way home because everyone in the house is going to faint. Why? What happened? Gulsiye drops the bomb: Menekse is pregnant! Zehra lets out a loud gasp. Everyone is waiting for Zehra to speak, but instead, Zehra says she has to leave and hurries off giving a stupid excuse.

Kavruk and Nedim show up. Did you bring them? Sancar senses something’s up and asks Kavruk. Kavruk says nothing. They bring the stones into the mill.
Akin looks at Kavruk and asks what’s happening. Kavruk gives one of his poetic answers: Do you know how cowards crush the olives? With wooden mortars. And how do the brave ones destroy the cruel? With something heavy. Kavruk slaps one of the stones. Sancar signals for Kavruk to leave.

Sancar places Akin flat on the floor. Akin makes his case--what will you do? You know what Gediz will do if you kill me. He will wipe Nare’s tears. She’ll cry in his arms. Sancar calls for silence. He whispers, you made me doubt for years. Not this time. You won’t confuse me.

Sancar picks up one of the stones. He puts his foot on Akin’s arm to hold it still. Akin begins to panic. don’t do it Sancar. No Sancar, stop, Akin pleads. Sancar asks, when Nare asked, did you stop? You deserve this. He drops the stone on Akin’s hand. Akin screams. Sancar exits the mill. Kavruk asks shall we all go home? No, Sancar wants to go to the shack. Kavruk tells him he should go home to change first. Sancar agrees. Nare shouldn’t see me like this, he says. Sancar tells Nedim to bring a doctor for Akin.

Menekse has been brought to the mansion [not good]. Zehra asks Gulsiye, you haven’t told Elvan, have you? Gulsiye makes the zipped lip. Yahya is pacing the floor. Why didn’t she stay in the hospital, Ayse asks? Zehra says it was a precaution because of the virus. Ayse’s not buying it. If you have money, you can avoid it, she says. She gives Halise as an example. Zehra asks Yayha if he knows where Sancar is. They don’t know.

Sancar arrives and sees an ambulance inside the gate. He worries and runs into the house. He looks at his family who are all waiting outside the bedroom. What is going on, he asks Zehra? Gulsiye motions to the bedroom and opens the door. ¡Cara de impactado! Sancar sees the unconscious Menekse in the bed being tended to by the doctor, he’s doing an ultra sound.

Sancar moves to Menekse’s bedside. He stays completely silent. He sees the baby on the monitor and hears the baby’s heartbeat. Halise says, good news son. But is it? Sancar looks confused and terrified and backs away to sit on the arm of a chair. Two for two, Sancar Efe. Donde pone el ojo pone la bala.

And we are out.

Helena is welcomed into Consuelo's home. Camila says: "it's great to see you. Are you looking for my brother?" Helena: "Yes, and also to ask about you. I know you got out of the hospital today." Camila introduces Horacio and Nora and asks if she will stay for dinner. Helena is sorry but she'll have to come another day. Mina: "Are you the one that went out with my dad in the video?" Helena: "Don't believe those videos. What's your name?" Mina: "Mina, and I don't believe you." Helena holds back tears as she turns to go. Helena: "Thanks everyone. They're waiting for me. Camila, we'll talk later to see how you're doing. I promise that I'll come back soon to eat with you all. I'll see you Mina." Later that night, the family discusses all the things that Valentina has bought them. Nara says it's her way of thanking them for everything they have done for the two girls. Connie sends Mina to bed. She wants a slumber party and to play games but she'll have to settle for Camila telling her some stories. Horacio asks Connie if Hector told her about working nights. She says he didn't say anything and she's worried because...

Meanwhile Hector is terrorizing the photographer at the garage. The photographer says he's just doing his job. It's what he gets paid for. Hector replies: "Harassing people? Those pictures hurt my mother and my sister and you're going to pay for that. I should tear you to pieces but you're not worth it." Luna, his friend from work, and accomplice shows up and asks him what he's going to do. He says he'll do what any real man would do. She tells him to calm down. That he's not like that. Tranquila. Hector picks the photographer up like a sack of potatoes and sets him in the passenger seat of the cab. He says he's not going to anything and will call Luna later. He gives the guy some advice as he drops him off at the hospital. "I never hit you. You're going to need proof if you're going to accuse me." Photog: "I'm not going to do anything. I just want to go." Hector: You know my name and where I work." Photog: "I don't remember." Hector: "I hope so. Jump. Get out." The photographer thinks to himself as he stands in front of the ER. Ow. What is his name? Casanova... Later Luna is relieved to hear that Hector took the guy to the hospital. She was really worried. Hector: "I only gave him a reminder not to mess with the women in my life. I made it very clear. I only hit him twice though." Luna: "He's going to report you and you might go to jail." Hector: Well, if that happens, so be it. I knew what I was getting into." Luna: "No Hector. You have Mina." Hector: "They're not going to give me a life sentence for two hits."
 

TU AMOR ep 12 part 2

Guillermo is talking to Enrique about what he wants from him. "I just heard it from the doctor's own mouth. I don't have much time to live. That's why you have to get that ranch and find my daughter." Enrique tells him that what he's asking won't be easy. Guillermo loses it, slams the table and goes into a rant. "Damn you Enrique! I'm asking something important to me. It wasn't easy for me to get you out of the damn barrio where you were living with your sick mother." Enrique is offended by this. Guillermo: "You weren't offended when I sent you to London for your masters degree and turned you into my son's best friend. That didn't offend you. You didn't say the same thing when I named you director of imports which made you a millionaire." Enrique: "You're right Guillermo. You've been more than a father to me. Everything I am and all that I have I owe to you. That's why I'll always be loyal to you." Guillermo: "I hope so Enrique. That you'll never betray me. I have the damn right to speak to you this way. You well know that my days are numbered and time is against me. I'm not ordering you, I'm asking you to help me. I want you to get that rancho away from Helena, deny it to Patricia, and give it to my daughter." Enrique: "That's how it will be and I swear that's what I'll do. Whatever the cost."

At Helena's, she and Majo are talking. Helena: "I swear, I can't believe he he from me that he has a daughter." Majo: "And do you know anything about the wife." Helena: "No, well, at least she wasn't there. Maybe they're divorced. Or worse, maybe they're only separated." Majo: "I'm sure they are, because if not, the girl wouldn't be so rude." Helena: "She wasn't rude, it was like..., like she was jealous. I think she saw the pictures where I was kissing her dad." Majo: "Well, a girl that defends her father's territory is much worse than a wife or a lover. You're not going to have it easy." Helena: "I don't know if I'm willing to fight that battle. There is no good reason for hiding his daughter from me." Hector hears this as he pops into the room. He says that he never hid his daughter. That they never talked about his family. Helena: "Well I talked about mine, about my brother, I told you everything. I asked you not to break my heart and you lied to me." Hector: "Can I talk? 1) My mom, my sister, my daughter and I live in the house. 2) I was never married. 3) My daughter's mother died when she was born." Helena says that she needs time to think. Hector gets pissed, says take all the time you need, and leaves.

 

TU AMOR ep 12 part 3

At Yolanda's studio, she is just getting off the phone with comandante Farfan. Valentina has brought her the designs she asked for. Yolanda wants to look them over alone. They're so good, she's brought to tears in a fit of jealousy. "Damn her. I hate her so much. I swear I'm going to finish with you Valentina." Later, she's calmer when she talks to Valentina. She says the designs are not OK. They need more work to transmit the concept. They need more dignity. Valentina doesn't agree: "Each of these designs demonstrate that a woman is capable of changing her life and exercising her liberty. The concept concludes with the wedding dress, where the word dignity is linked with the anatomy and with the woman that decides to govern herself the same way. Yolanda talks about the old days when new designers would have their drawings destroyed and how it made them better. (Yeah right) Then she puts Valentina back to work. "I like how you react. You've passed all the tests. You see how much I trust you. I will let you do the collage. Baba will help you select the materials. There will be several changes on my part to improve your designs. I'm giving you a great opportunity dear, now surprise me." After Valentina leaves, Beba explodes. "Are you serious? Her designs are going to be in the show?" Yolanda: "No, her designs are going to BE the show."

The cops show up at the taxi stand or wherever with an arrest order for Casanova Morales. Luna tells them that she only knows Leonardo Casanova Maorales, the brother of Camila Casanova, the survivor of the plane crash and model. She tells them where to find him and says that he's the macho type that likes to settle things with his fists.

Yolanda is being interviewed by a reporter asking about the upcoming show. Valentina shows up just in time to hear her own words coming out of Yolanda's evil mouth. "This season the concept is dignity and all my designs will DEMONSTRATE THAT A WOMAN IS CAPABLE OF CHANGING HER LIFE AND EXERCISING HER LIBERTY" What a sneak.

We see how devoted San is to his daughter, so what happens now that he will have another child by this woman be cannot stand ? Uff

TU AMOR. Thanks for the excellent recap, JoelD. It clarified some things for me as this was an episode I had to watch on line (telenovela or zumba? So hard to choose). I'm glad Valentina stood up to Yolanda regarding her designs. Once again, what a brave young woman. And maybe the only reason Yolanda hates her is envy of her talent. I hope Yolanda gets hers by the end of the novela. It will be interesting to see how the confrontation between Leonardo and the police plays out. Way to go, Luna! OTOH, they kind of seemed to understand that a brother would have to stand up for his sister, even if it involved violence.

I also enjoyed the conversation between Camila and Consuelo, which seemed to be about how Consuelo had always stood up for Camila when Camila was in school, etc. You would think that that kind of relationship with her mother might give Camila the strength to carry on and make something of her life despite her injured face.

Wow...Akin has been a part of Nare's "family" for a long time.....but apparently he never developed the brotherly love feeling. Gross....he grew up with her as an adopted brother and has probably lusted after her a long time....yuck. However, he became Guven's favorite child because those eight 0s that that came with him.


The writes pulled a fast one. Just knew it would be Sancar to beat the crap out of Akin but it was Gediz instead. Enjoyed every moment of it. Gediz had stamina....he could have kept going until he was stopped.

Why do these people think Nare is not supposed to have a life. Yes...she loves Sancar but if he were to go to jail...die...or never divorce...she has to right to move on with her life. Didn't get Sancar saying he believes in her and she would not betray him. She should move on with her life with whom ever she pleases.

I knew the "witch in training" Meneske was going to be pregant. Hope Sancar finds out about her past and asks for a paternity test....can't believe it's his. Now that we know Loki was in jail...it's reasonable that she need to marry to give her spawn a father...and Halise was in need of a new DIL.

Did Sancar actually request the doctor for Akin...I thought he said not to....or maybe I was just hoping he did. Akin deserves jail...not medical attention.

Speaking of medical attention...Meneske is getting treated for her fainting spell and now everyone knows she preggars. I couldn't gage the look on Sancar's face when he realized what was going. At first he looked horrified ...but did he end with a smile on his face? I'm sure that while he's open to having another kid...he wouldn't want one with the woman he just kicked out of his house...and took off his wedding ring. I will have to look at that ending again.

TU AMOR ep 13 part 1

I'll be out of town and unable to recap the next couple of episodes. I miss a lot of details when I can't re-watch but I just viewed episode 13 and can kick off the conversation.

Beba has to hold back Valentina when she witnesses Yolanda's plagiarism. Yolanda hired her and pays her salary so what's the big deal? It bothers her that Yolanda never uses her name. Beba thinks Valentina has an issue with authority figures and doesn't realize what Yolanda is capable of. Well she doesn't know what Val is capable of either.

The cops show up at Helena's looking for Leonardo. He senses a great opportunity and gladly confesses to the crime. I think in Mexico you must get some appreciation for sticking up for your sister. He obviously knows the photographer and tells him at the station that he better stick to the plan or he'll get it worse than Hector gave him. Hector is not happy about this at all. He's ready to take credit for the crime and take the consequences. The photographer looks him straight in the eye and tells the cops he's never seen him before in his life. When Hector confronts his brother in his cell, Leonardo lays it on thick about how he's doing it for him and Mina because he loves them. Hector say's he almost, almost believes him. (Not quite)

Consuelo's house is filled with beautiful flowers. They're all from Helena. One arrangement is for Camila. The card reminds her that she is a miracle. Another is for Consuelo complimenting her on her gracious invite for dinner. A giant stuffed bear is for Mina and can be exchanged for a doll as beautiful as her. Mina's not having any of it. She says she doesn't like bears or dolls and prefers Luna to Helena.

Adalaida gives us a lot of back story in her conversation with Patricia. I couldn't keep a lot of it straight but some of it was about Yolanda. She wasn't like most women. She was free and strong and didn't let people tell her what to do. She fell in love with a poor guapo but her parents didn't approve. If I heard correctly, he left her at the altar and disappeared with Consuelo. Even Adalaida doesn't know what went on between Helena and Guillermo. Pat plays Adalaida for sympathy and cons her into talking to Helena about maybe getting back her ranch.


 

TU AMOR ep 13 part 2

There was a really touching scene where Valentina and Camila meet. Val wonders if Camila remembers her father from the flight and shows her his photo. She definitely remembers because they sat together. His daughters were the two loves of his life. One wanted to be a model and the other a designer. His eyes lit up when he talked about them. His name was Juan. Val got very emotional. Consuelo believes that the meeting was an act of God. Valentina can never pay back Camila except by being her true friend. Connie thinks more like sisters than friends. At this point Nora arrives and I don't know what she heard but she is super cold to Camila. "I thought with your face you were going to be a nun."

Valentina is starting to compare Claudio and Ricardo in her sub conscience. In a memory flashback, Ricardo short changes a little girl selling flowers. In another he is unsupportive of Val's career plans. She realizes how different Claudio is. He has a huge heart and enjoys doing things like buying hamburgers for street kids. While he is face timing her, he says to open the door. When she does, a delivery guy hands her a huge bouquet.

I think the hospital administration better reconsider their offer of making Doctor Rosamaria the new director. She gets too close to the patients. At least she is too close to Ricardo. I think she plans to keep him at her house until he gets better and recovers his memory. Really?

Guess who shows up at Valentina's door now? The policia and Beba. WTH? Apparantly some gold buttons are missing from the fashion studio. They turn out to be in Val's back pocket. Nice move Beba but have you thought this through? Yolanda has a show coming up and Valentina is doing all the designs as well as the collage. If someone is going to be thrown under the bus it's probably going to be you.

ACUERDAS Episode 67 All Hell Breaks Loose

Previously: Vera and Pedro have reconciled – at least for the moment. Olmo and Ivana endure public shaming, being turned out of their family home at the hands of a friend turned foe. They attempt to hold their heads high as they move forward, in synch, hands clasped, trying to muster a shred of dignity. On this day, however, there is none to be found. Olmo and Ivana have been unmasked and are vulnerable for all to see.

Olmo’s rage is palpable as Gaston and Mélida pull up to the curb. Gaston is understandably confused, asking where they are going and why they are on foot. Olmo tells him that this is no longer their home. Let’s go Olmo barks as he and Ivana get into the car as Ivana casts one long, longing look back.

A playful Nico (along with Bingo) jump on the bed where Vera and Pedro are sleeping. Vera laughingly reminds him it’s time to get ready for school. Pedro actually sports a smile, admitting this is what he has been missing...taking Nico to school, and being with her... Nico tells them that if he is late it won’t be his faultI Pedro admits to being completely happy. Vera tries to bring up Olmo but Pedro silences her with his lips.

Fausto and J-ass arrive at former casa Casarez. Fausto strolls through the rooms, taking in the gleaming chandelier, the opulent furnishings. He states that it smells like victory but is critical of the decor. He asks to be taken to Olmo’s office as El Chamaco’s goons cart out bags. They talk about selling the mansion but El Chamaco shrugs that the house has no significance for him. I have no use for it so you can keep it. El Chamaco hands over the keys to the castle and they celebrate with whiskey.

Delia, Laiza and Marina are having a wine tasting, and Delia bestows her enthusiastic approval. Marina toasts to Pedro since not being with him allowed her to concentrate on her project. But the big bombshell news is that they are now divorced! Laiza and Delia are delighted – salut!

The walls of the mansion are stripped as Fausto orders Alma’s painting to be burned. J-ass tells Fausto that everything is ready for his engagement party.

Gaston feels the baby kick! He tells Mélida that the baby is about to be born...he was hoping to raise it at his home but now they don’t have a house.

ACUERDAS Episode 67 All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2

J-ass tries on a hideous plaid jacket and admires himself in the mirror.

We are treated to another serene, almost family dinner with Emilia, Octavio, Eddy and Faby. My grandfather wants us at the engagement party Eddy grouses - Casa Casarez is now Casa Bernal. J-ass calls again but Eddy refuses to answer – he doesn’t want to go!

Teo reads the invite to the engagement party and is not happy.

Olmo spies on Vera and Nico, fuming as Pedro joins them. Olmo calls Ivana, vowing to kill them. He pulls a gun from the glove compartment as Ivana begs him to come to the hotel.

Fausto angrily marches out to find the poor soul who dropped a tray of crystal. As J-ass preens expecting to be complimented on his attire, Fausto tells him he could have at least removed the name of the previous owner. Back to business, Fausto then assures J-ass that he loves Alicia. He then wonders what has happened with Emilia.

Marina notes that the wine isn’t sitting well with her, she threw up. She has been feeling differently the last few days. Laiza looks concerned.

Olmo does relent and returns to the hotel. When Ivana asks if he is all right, Olmo curses that Pedro stabbed him in the back and the traitor will pay!

Vera arrives at the party and is immediately accosted by J-ass. He tells Vera that this was her house, but she counters that this was never her house. Fausto greets her warmly and Vera says she must speak with him. Vera wonders how Fausto came to be in possession of the mansion. Olmo tries to deflect, telling her how he got it is not important...they are getting their vengeance. Vera retorts that Fausto may be getting his vengeance, but she was the one who had to live with Olmo...she is the only loser in this! She states how upset her mother would be at everything that has transpired. All she wants is to be with Pedro and be happy.

Faby (looking lovely) and Octavio are dressed and ready to go to the party. Faby tells Octavio that he looks very handsome. She feels uncomfortable returning to that house since her family is not there. Octavio reminds her that this could be a step in the right direction.

Olmo goes to Nico’s school. We later hear them talking as we see a car roaring down the highway.

ACUERDAS Episode 67 All Hell Breaks Loose Part 3

J-ass escorts Alicia into the soiree with Julio following close behind. Julio you are here Vera manages, caught off guard. He smiles ruefully and tells Vera that if she is uncomfortable with him there, he will leave.

Fausto makes his little lyin’ speech, declaring his love and respect for Alicia, rejoicing at the wonderful news that Alicia has accepted his proposal.

Julio asks Vera if she has given up on seeking justice. Vera counters she just wants to be happy with Pedro. She tells Julio she loves Pedro. Again.

Marina goes home and looks at the pregnancy test in her purse.

Vera goes back to Pedro’s, hoping they can pick Nico up and go out for a bite. With precision timing, Olmo calls Vera and says that his adored stepson is with him! Vera tells Olmo that he’d better not put one finger on her son. Olmo tells her that if she wants to see her son, she should go to the cabin. Alone. Pedro says no way, he is going! Julio calls and Vera fills him in.

Pedro and Vera speed to Nico’s rescue as a posted spy radios ahead that there are 2 people in the car.

Emilia and Eddy sit on a couch with Octavio and Faby acting like the closely knit family they should be. J-ass sits at Fausto’s side.

Andres visits Marina and when he sees her asking what is wrong. She tells him not to worry. She shows him the pregnancy test and he is overjoyed and sweeps her up off her feet.

Olmo and Ivana have lit a fire in their lair. Meanwhile, Silvio and another goon pull out, chasing Pedro and Vera in hot pursuit. Both cars speed up, the pursuers mere inches away, their plan to run them off the road painfully evident. The two cars appear to stop but Pedro’s car continues to roll and crashes down a steep embankment.

At the bottom of the cliff, the car has flipped over and come to a stop, resting on the roof. Silvio surveys the carnage, sending a picture to Olmo. The reaction is inhuman; Olmo stares with great satisfaction and Ivana, ice floating in her veins, smiles widely.

Pedro comes to first and although upside down, manages to crawl out of the window. He frees Vera and pulls her from the wreckage. He calls her name, but alas, she is not responding. As blood streams down her face, Pedro tries to revive her but even CPR does not appear to work. “No my love” he pleads, “No!”

Julio tells Fausto about Olmo abducting Nico. They try reaching both Pedro and Vera without success. Julio has the good sense to mention the cabin which Fausto is familiar with as Olmo would take them there.

ACUERDAS Episode 67 All Hell Breaks Loose Part 4

The bride to be is upset that Teo is not there...she decides to speak with him so he will understand that she’s in love. Ack. Viewerville cannot fathom any reason as to why Alicia would ever consider Fausto.

Marina’s mood goes from supremely happy to pure panic in minutes flat. As is her pattern, Marina’s mind is in overdrive as she panics that the medications she is taking may be toxic and she could lose the baby. Andes is unable to calm her down.

The flames of jealousy have been fanned as J-ass scolds Emilia for bringing a man with her. He calls Octavio Emilia’s novio. No, he is my friend Emilia corrects her stupid spouse. Emilia scoffs that he is the one who left her and she only came with Octavio as he is Eddy’s father.

Fausto explains to Alicia why he needs to leave. She completely understands, his daughter comes first. Alicia asks Fausto to be careful. Fausto promises that the next gathering they will have will be for their wedding.

Octavio comments that this is the first time he has been to this house as a guest...he wants to look around and investigate.

Faby looks through her photos and cries for her father. It is my fault Eddy says on the verge of tears. Faby assures Eddy that he is not to blame for any of this. Eddy thinks that if he had spoken up none of this would have happened...he was not brave and lacked courage. When Faby asks what he meant when he said he was not brave, he replies that he was just trying to make her feel better. For a moment, it seemed as though Eddy might indeed reveal the murder but that deep secret seems to be safe for the moment.

Fausto calls an associate saying he needs a favor.

Pedro walks down the road, carrying Vera in his arms.

Julio tells Octavio that Fausto went to look for Vera. Octavio wants to call the police but Julio tells him not to. Emilia comes up to chat and as she leaves, Julio stares perceptively, asking Octavio if he likes her! No Octavio answers as he shakes his head J-ass observes all this, lurking in the shadows like the snake he is.

A good Samaritan picks up Pedro and Vera.

Teo, concerned and upset about Alicia spills a drink and gets angry. Gonzo tries to calm him and reminds him that Alicia IS an adult. Teo rants that Fausto is a criminal as Alicia enters the room. Alicia asks who is a criminal? Further, why didn’t he attend her engagement party?

Meanwhile, back at Olmo’s hideaway, we notice that Olmo has enough money to keep a full complement of staff. A car arrives and all guns are pointed as El Chamaco, alights from the car. Next, Fausto emerges who addresses Olmo, asking partner, who would have thought we would meet again after so many years and under these circumstances?

Pedro enters the hospital, Vera limp and unresponsive in his arms, screaming for help.

The way Olmo and Ivana reacted with such joy to the apparent deaths of Vera and Pedro was stomach churning. I didn't say it in the recap but want to say now that these two are evil incarnate. We knew Olmo was sick and twisted but when she smiled, Ivana's evilness surpassed his.

Alicia continues to astonish. And NOT in a good way :)

I want to thank RgvChick for her help with key dialogue. Her keen eye sees all yet misses nothing.

No episode tomorrow due to futbol.

Thanks for the recap. Not sure when the finale is: Friday or next Monday?

Eddy has to spill the beans so Vera and Pedro finally figure out who killed their respective parent. I guess this will be the main bonding that will solve their differences. Somehow I would like to see Jass, Olmo, Ivana, Fausto and El Chamaco meet the grim reaper.

A long slog is about to end.

I always knew that Ivana is more evil than Olmo. She is colder, more calculating than he is. He is very impulsive by comparison.

Since the writers have not revealed the cause of Alma's death, I hope it has occurred to them that Ivana could have killed her. If that is the case, I wonder how they will reveal that. It could be beautifully operatic for her to reveal this during some crisis moment -- like the "accident" that just happened -- and end with the two of them killing each other.

Not sure that "The Ride of the Valkyries" was the best music while the Caceres mansion was being cleared out, but we know that Fausto seems to love classic things.

Eddie was the witness to Fausto murdering Antonia, but how can that be proven?

So how will Nico be rescued?

The list you provided deserve punishment, certainly. I do blame Fausto for Jacinto's ruination but ruined he is.

Hi Urban. You were aware of Ivana's degree of loathsomeness all along. And you were so right. I could not ID "The Ride of the Valkyries" so thank you so much for noting that. The music (to me) was completely off but may have been included for the reason you noted.

I can only speculate that either the news of Antonia's death will be revealed by Fausto himself or that Eddy will be believed, simply as he has no reason to lie.

I've also come to the conclusion Ivana murdered Alma and hope Olmo's retribution is fitting.

ITA that Ivana is just as evil as old Olmo. We need three big anvils for that trio. (I added Fausto) Since the end is near, I am hoping that Alicia’s “fiance” is snatched away. by death or by the criminal justice system befor they marry. Either will do as either would do for old Olmo and Ivana.

Great that Marina is pregnant but she has a real concern about her pregnancy and taking her meds. Too bad she started to spin out of control before seeing a doctor.
Poor Gabriel Soto having to carry Fátima Molina down a highway and through hallways. I hope they did all of those in one take.
What a surprise for old Olmo! El Chamaco AND Fausto!

Bummer that we have to wait until tomorrow.

I appreciate your noting Olmo vowing to protect Nico (cringe worthy) and Alicia calling the other guests "mummies". Alicia is a younger spirit which is why her agreeing to be with Fausto is even more perplexing.

I hope Marina is able to have a healthy child. I admit I like her and hopefully cooler heads will prevail and Andres will calm her down and have her seek medical advice pronto.

So much yet to be resolved with stern justice to be meted out for those that deserve it. Resolution of Gaston/Mélida/Laiza. Potential happiness for Eddy and Faby, Teo and Gonzo and now, Octavio and Emilia.

Yes Nina....Sancar is in one hell of a pickle. At the end of the prior show...couldn't read his facial expression but last night it was more revealing...he is anguished. Married to a woman, pregnant one at that...one that he doesn't love. He had a way out until this baby thing. His anguish and torment continues. And Nare...not to quote Justin Beiber....but "what do you mean". she keeps giving him different signals....and he's searching for the slightest glimmer of hope. It's obvious she still loves him but her mind is telling her to punish him for abandoning her years ago. But now that the Akin thing has been settled....or has it....they can try to pick up the pieces and have a normal life...but not together it seems.

Yes...Halise will be pleased that she has a legitimate heir to the legacy that she had nothing to do with building. I hope she and Meneske don't torture Elvan with this news....but I still vote that this baby is Loki's and not Sancar's. Will Yaya now have one more thing to envy Sancar for.

I don't think anyone else will be safe until Olmo, Fausto, Ivana, and El Chamaco are all dead. Even if Pedro and (the hopefully surviving) Vera change their names any of these vipers can find them.

Emilia has a good heart, but is declassee in manner. I also wish she wouldn't talk so fast.

Jacinto is seriously low class. His taste in clothes would not get him anywhere. He will likely go down with the others.

Still wondering why the turbans on Alicia. They do not flatter Helena Rojo, who is still beautiful. The make her look older.
 

TU AMOR. JoelD: Thank you for the succinct but excellent recap. You hit all the high points. Yep, Valentina is realizing that unlike Claudio, Ricardo was not a charitable person and that Claudio is a much better person. And yes, also much more encouraging to her career. It will be interesting to see if Valentina does finish prepa and then study textile engineering. Leonardo probably could arrange to do in that photographer and leave no traces. Why does the photographer go along with Leonardo's being the guilty one? Just because of his threats? And does Leonardo really have a noble reason for taking the blame? So cute! I think Mina said she wants a dog, not a boyfriend. And it is disgusting hoe Valentina is being framed. I hope there is security camera footage of Beba stuffing diamonds into Valentina's pocket. (But how could she do that without being seen?)

Now if they would just get rid of all of these less than flattering beards on all of these men—especially old Olmo— that just give them the old codger look. I know I have mentioned this before but the gramps look is everywhere these days.

Nare goes to the shack. She’s brought the cake. She sits and waits for Sancar then takes out her phone.

Sancar comes out of the room and sighs. His phone rings—it’s Nare. He doesn’t answer.
Nare moves to the doorway.

Sancar asks the doctor, is she asleep? Your wife, the doctor asks? Sancar gives a slight nod. She will wake up tomorrow. The stress she suffered could affect the baby. We haven’t stopped the bleeding and if we don’t, she might lose the baby. The next hours will be critical. She could lose the baby, Sancar asks? Atike asks the doctor if this happened because Menekse was under stress. Doctor answers no, the pregnancy is high risk due to the position of the baby, but stress could have an effect. We have to wait, the next hours are critical. Sancar looks around, everyone is staring at him. He takes off and Kavruk follows him.

Nare is sitting in the doorway still waiting for Sancar. She looks at her watch.
Sancar heads to the stable and sits on a bale of hay. Kavruk sits next to him. I’ve heard his heartbeat, Sancar says. Kavruk smiles, his heart must be so small. Sancar worries, but it could stop. Karvuk looks up at the night sky. Look up Sancar, he says. The world is strange, Kavruk says, healthy people die first. First…parents bury their children. It’s a tragedy. Zehra tells Sancar, you almost took a life and now you’ll give one instead. Sancar is surprised. He looks at Kavruk and then at his sister. Nare, he says to Zehra, she asked for your help? Zehra smiles and nods. She stopped me from killing him, he says. I’m not a murderer… I am a father. Sancar gets a text from Nare: “Are you ok? I’m worried about you”.

He shows Zehra the message. You’re not answering, Zehra asks? Sancar is in a dilemma, what do I say? I can’t go to her. How do I tell her Menekse is pregnant? He’s disgusted with himself. [as he should be] Zehra holds on to her brother.

And there is Nare, still waiting and wondering….

Gediz comes home. He’s exhausted, sighing, and sits on the stairs. Muge sees him and notices his bloodied hand. She’s startled, what happened? It’s nothing, Gediz replies with one of his jokes, you should have seen the other guy. Nare was able to stop Sancar, he says, but I almost killed Akin. Gediz is aghast at what he did. He tells Muge, I almost became a murderer! Muge calms him and gives him water. Muge says she will treat his wound. My wounds…he says. They go to the kitchen and Muge takes out the first aid kit.

You punched him all day long, Muge asks? Sancar stopped me and then I went to the marina, he tells her. I see that you are very upset, Muge responds, that’s what he (Akin) does. He gets inside your head. What did he tell you? Gediz sighs and gets emotional. He struggles with the words—he said I wanted Sancar to kill him… so Nare would stay with me and not Sancar. He cries.

Muge asks if this is what Gediz wanted. Gediz does not want to hear this. Muge confesses that she wanted Nare to die. Enough, sister, Gediz begs. Muge says, I know it was sick and I’m sorry I thought about it, but when you fall in love completely…. Gediz pulls his hand away from his sister. We are not the same, he says. I did not fall blindly in love. It’s nonsense. How could I want something like that? I didn’t want Sancar to kill a man. [is he trying to talk himself into thinking this?] He’s like a brother to me, a brother! Gediz breaks into a sob and Muge comforts him. I never wanted it, Gediz cries, I swear, I never wanted it. He repeats this over and over.

Sancar arrives at Gediz’ house. Muge answers the door. Is Gediz home? Yes, but… Can you ask him to come out? Sancar, I want to see Akin, Muge blurts. What? No way. I know Gediz beat him up, she says, and I need to see him hurt. It will make me feel better. Sancar responds, Gediz beat him, and I crushed his hands. He won’t be able to touch anyone anymore. So if you’re feeling better, go get Gediz. Muge asks again and Sancar replies, if you want to see him, you can go to the jail, but today it’s impossible. Gediz comes out and agrees with Sancar. I will not take you to see that bastard. Muge goes in the house and the men talk outside.

Gediz asks, what did you do with him? I crushed his hands with a stone. Gediz laughs. He kisses Sancar’s head. What a good idea. Sancar looks very troubled and Gediz asks what’s wrong. Did Nare complain? She doesn’t know, Sancar answers, she’s waiting for me at the shack. Gediz is puzzled, so what happened? Did you forget the way? Sancar sadly says, I don’t know how to tell her. What did you do, Gediz asks suspiciously? Menekse is having a baby, Sancar replies.

Come here, says Gediz angrily. And he puts his head against Sancar’s. Damn you, my friend. Gediz pushes Sancar against the car and he slides to the ground. Sancar starts crying. Gediz sits next to him and holds Sancar while he cries.

Nare comes home with her cake. She gets some water. Elvan comes into the kitchen and is surprised to see Nare. Did you have an argument, she asks? We would have if he ever showed up, she replies. Elvan is at a loss, why didn’t he come? I don’t know, Nare tells her, you can ask him when he comes to see Melek. Nare is upset. Elvan is surprised, that’s not like him. Maybe something happened. Nare says, he sees Melek and he does everything she asks. I don’t need anything from him and that’s enough.

Elvan has a good idea. She still has some money left from her bracelets. She suggests a little shopping therapy. It will lift your mood, she tells Nare, let’s decorate the house. Nare says she won’t go shopping just because Sancar upset her. Elvan says don’t mention Sancar and I won’t mention that miserable Yahya. Nare smiles. Elvan wants curtains and a sofa. It’s like we live in the stone age. Nare gets into it a bit, maybe we could use a little rug? A little rug, Elvan says, look at the size of this house! We need to buy a carpet of the best quality for thousands of dollars.

Nare questions this. Thousands of dollars for the carpet? My rent is only 3K lira, she tells Elvan. Elvan is shocked, how much? That can’t be. How can this only be 3K? Nare says she was surprised, too. She thought the rent was in dollars, but the agent said the owner was wealthy…. Ah, Elvan figures it out. When you spoke to the agent, was Sancar listening, she asks with a smile. Flashback to when they negotiated the rental.

Yes, Sancar was behind me, Nare says. Elvan gives her a knowing smile. No, Nare says, impossible. Elvan says it’s possible. Nare is in denial. Elvan says, we both know he would do something like that. He wouldn’t dare, Nare says. My BIL? He wouldn’t dare? Elvan laughs. Nare declares, Elvan, we are moving. Huh?

Sancar heads to the bedroom. He listens at the door. He knocks and calls, Menekse? Menekse sends her mother off to hide in the bathroom. He knocks again… Menekse? No answer so he enters the room. Menekse pretends to be sleeping. He looks at her and then sees the sonogram picture on the bedtable. He thinks back to Nare’s speech about fatherless children: “Take her by the hand. I am a woman who was hurt. But your daughter is young and beautiful. I beg you to take her hand.”

He looks at the sonogram, picks it up and studies it. Menekse peeks at him. She talks in her sleep, my baby, my baby. She sits bolt upright and gasps. Sancar calms her, the baby is fine. She notices the sonogram, Sancar that’s… our baby. That’s still a shock he hasn’t processed yet. He nods. Menekse worries, the doctor said he’s in danger. I might lose my baby. Don’t worry, Sancar replies.

Really, don’t worry? You know how much I wanted to have a baby. Menek lays the big guilt trip on him, you don’t even care that your child is in danger. I can’t count on you! Sancar is shocked to hear Menekse say this. Am I lying, she asks? She cries. You don’t understand. I can lose my baby before I can even feed it. She lays it on thick. She touches her belly. I’ll never smell its scent. Don’t you care? [Does she really care about the baby or is it just about Sancar?]

Look, Sancar tells her, you’re here and so am I. Menekse remembers what he said when he took her back to her mother’s house. She reminds him, you said you would never forgive me for what I did to Nare. You would never forget. She takes on an angry, threatening tone, this is the first and last time I warn you. If something happens to my baby, you’ll be in trouble. I’ll chase you to the end of the world. Think about this when you are with your daughter. Sancar drops the sonogram on the bed and leaves. He takes a breath outside the door. Yep, he screwed Menekse and now he’s screwed.

Menekse calls her mother out of the bathroom. Atike smiles in admiration and says, your husband must be afraid. Meanekse says, just wait, this is only the beginning. From now on, the mansion belongs to Menekse. Atike lights up, well done, daughter.

The doctor returns to the mansion. Halise hopes the baby is out of danger. Sancar quietly echoes that thought. Halise asks Sancar if he’s ok. He answers, my life has been tragic, it doesn’t matter if I’m okay or not. I hope no one else pays for my sins. My grandson carries Efeoglu blood, Halise tells him, he won’t give up. Sancar hopes so. Halise hesitates then asks, are you divorcing Menekse? Sancar hesitates with his response. He’s not happy about it but doesn’t want to put her under that kind of stress. Halise is troubled, too. She asks, does Nare know? No. Halise catches her breath.

The doctor comes out. The bleeding has stopped, but she’s still in danger. She can’t be on her feet for more than five minutes. And she needs to avoid stress. Halise and Gulsiye take food to Menekse. Sancar stays outside. I’m not hungry Menekse says. Atike encourages her to eat for the baby’s sake.

Halise tries to make nice and tells Menekse she looks good and she’s glowing. Menekse is ticked. Do you really think I'm okay? I was kicked out of because I tried to protect my family from that mujerzuela. An emboldened Menekse continues, I followed your advice, but you left me when the problems arose. Now you come into my room and tell me that I’m fine? I had to protect myself from the start. Then maybe ... maybe ... she cries and touches her belly. [I feel sorry for the baby, not her]

Halise puts her hand over Menekse’s and tells her not to cry anymore, my grandson will be alright. The doctor says to stay calm. Menekse is agitated and suggests that Halise start praying. She makes the same threat she made to Sancar, if something happens to my baby, I swear I'll chase you without resting. Atike warns Halise to back off. You have done a lot of damage to my daughter. Better to leave her alone. She may start to bleed. Halise and Gulsiye leave.

Menekse asks her mother to call Necdet. Tell him to get Nare's phone number. Why? What will you do? Everything that has happened to us is because of her, Atike worries. Menekse says, I don't know. Do you think she would like to hear that her daughter will have a brother? Atike cautions her, think about the baby's health, it’s the most important thing.

Crazy Menekse declares, he will be born. I won't lose my baby. I need him. With him, I will ruin Nare and her daughter. I will be the queen of this town thanks to him. She orders her mother, do what I tell you. Menekse has Sancar’s wedding ring in her hand and gives it her crazy eyes look.

Sancar gets a text from Gediz "tell nare that you will be a father immediately. You don't want her to find out from someone else. " [which means she will likely find out from someone else.]

Sancar sits at the stable and Kavruk finds him. Is everything okay? For the moment, Sancar replies. Kavruk is relieved. What did I tell you, he reminds Sancar, a mortal does not decide who lives and who dies. Then tell me something else, Sancar asks, when my daughter wants me, how am I going to tell her she can't stay with me but her brother can? But first, how do I tell Nare that Menekse is pregnant? Sancar adds, I destroyed her a long time ago. Will I do it again?

Kavruk responds, regret is not difficult, accepting what you did is. Your road is very narrow. You will decide where you will go. Sancar thinks for a moment and smiles. I know what I'm going to do. I will go to my daughter and give her the best day of her life. His smile leaves and he says, at night, I'll go to Nare. Sancar thanks Kavruk for his advice. [what would he do without Kavruk?]

Muge shows up at the marina. She asks Dudu for Nare. She’s by the yachts. Dudu says she’ll get her. In the meantime, Muge practices apologizing to Nare.

Nare is meeting with the Greek tour guy. They have settled everything, and she invites him into the office for coffee. The Greek found out that they acquired another marina, and he offers congratulations. He mentions the trouble with Kahraman.

Dudu tells Nare that Muge is waiting for her. Nare apologizes to the Greek, they will have coffee some other time. Dudu offers congratulations to Nare. Nare wonders why Dudu is congratulating her. Dudu is surprised, you don’t know? What are you talking about, Nare asks? Dudu wonders, then Sancar didn't tell? Is he hiding it? Nare asks again, what are you talking about?

And we are out.

I agree with the "gramps" look - the beards are not flattering. I was flabbergasted when I looked up Guillermo and Juan Carlos' ages. Superb actors both but they look a decade older than their actual ages.

Fe, I am sorry but I did not catch the conversation between Octavio and Faby that you mentioned. I hope someone else will be able to relay it.

"Valentina is starting to compare Claudio and Ricardo in her sub conscience" was gratifying. Perhaps Ricardo will turn over a new leaf but let the good doctora have him. Also, I agree with you that if she does have Ricardo stay with her, she has crossed the line. Kind is great but there is a professional line and she is teetering on it.

The Valentina and Camila friendship will be a strong one. I had to smile as Nora does scathing exceedingly well.

Hector's little one is going to put Helena through the wringer. Leonardo is despicable.

Jacinto IS toast, I'm pretty sure. And I completely agree with you on Julio. I liked him when he was with Lola but instead of appreciating the gem that she is, he decided to be lovelorn for Vera. If there were a drinking game where everyone had to drink every time Vera told him she loves Pedro, there would be some pretty inebriated people :)

In a perfect telenovela world, Octavio and Emilia would end up together. She is in for so much heartbreak when Jacinto dies (no spoiler, I'm speculating), it would be nice to have someone stand by her. She would be the mother that Faby never really had.

Nina, my interpretation of the discussion between Faby and Eddy was that Eddy appeared to be on the brink of telling Faby about Antonia's murder. He told her he felt guilty but when she asked him why, he pulled back...
