ACUERDAS, Ep. 69: A Few Steps Forward…a Few Steps Backward Part 1

Teo watches Agus and El Chamaco’s minions guard the loaded vehicle. When they lift the tailgate, Teo takes pictures of all the money.

Laiza is with Delia and frustrated that Delia won’t say anything. Delia knows it will only hurt Laiza, but when Laiza insists, Delia spurts out that the baby is adorable; he is exactly like Gaston who is so excited. Delia then adds that Gaston asked for her…but emphasizes that now he is a father. Laiza knows that…and that is sacred. Laiza thinks that the same thing is happening with her and Gaston that happened between Delia and Olmo. Delia agrees; she dedicated her life to the Casares and Laiza gave her heart to Gaston.

Olmo takes Gaston outside to talk. He asks Gaston if he has ever wondered how their fortune was made, When Gaston replies that it was made through Olmo’s talent and business savvy, Olmo explains that is what everyone thinks…but their business is only a gateway for another business. Olmo then asks Gaston if he knows how money laundering works. After Gaston looks anxious, Olmo suggests that they go elsewhere to talk.

Back at Laiza’s, Laiza tells Delia that Pedro was there asking for Ramiro. She told him that she knew nothing about him; and Pedro reacted badly when she told him that she had thrown away Ramiro’s letter. After Delia wonders if Laiza regrets having thrown away the letter, she goes to get it and gives it to Laiza; she thought that someday Laiza would want to read it.

Teo shows Pedro the pictures he took which clearly show the money that El Chamaco is laundering. Pedro notes that it is a lot of money. Teo wonders how much money is being laundered through the Economy hotels. When he adds that Olmo and Fausto are the same stinkers, Pedro tells him that is why they are going to finish with both of them and send them to prison for the rest of their lives.

Laiza reads the letter and looks troubled so Delia asks what it says.

Vera is with Nico who is sad because he thinks his father has forgotten them. Vera thinks that his father is thinking about them right now.

Pedro tells Teo that he is thinking about Vera and Nico…he needs to follow the trail and see how he can get them back. When Teo suggests that he can start by showing the pictures to Vera, Pedro comments that the pics aren’t clear enough and they don’t prove that Fausto or Jass are guilty. Right now, Vera thinks that Fausto is her best ally. When Pedro has some hard evidence, he will take it to Vera so that she can see who her father really is. Teo agrees that without evidence, they can’t do anything.

At Laiza’s, Delia is demanding that Laiza tell her what is in the letter since Laiza is so upset. Laiza deflects by telling her that it’s nothing…it’s the same thing that Ramiro always said….that he was a bad father, a bad husband and that he is sorry. When Delia again questions why Laiza is so upset, Laiza tells her that no matter how many times she hears her father say the same thing, she will feel bad. Laiza then goes to her bedroom to rest.

Olmo has already explained the family business and wonders if Gaston understood it since he will be in charge of the ship now. Gaston does understand it, but it doesn’t mean he likes it He always thought that the company was made through hard work. Olmo tells him not to get confused; those are the rules of the game and if he wants to be at the top of the business world, he will have to deal with sharks. When Gaston remarks that he doesn’t think everyone does it and doesn’t think it’s necessary, Olmo tells him not to judge him. Gaston retorts that he is not judging him, he just doesn’t think that this is for him…he just became a father and right now, his world is wonderful…he doesn’t want to get into crooked things.

Laiza is in her bedroom alone and rereads Ramiro’s letter. I want you to know that in the end you didn’t miss much. I am not a good person; I did terrible things in Olmo’s name…I allowed myself to be bought by him and I turned into a criminal like him.” Laiza thinks out loud, “No! You cannot tell me this in writing, you have to tell me to my face.”

Olmo tells Gaston that he will regret his decision since this will change things When he sarcastically adds that Gaston can go to his son because the world is marvelous, Gaston wonders if Olmo is serious or if he won’t resent him. Olmo assures him that this will be accepted without resentment, but then gives Gaston a cold, hard look and repeats, “Without resentment.”

Emilia goes to Octavio’s house and brings food. Faby thanks her and tells her that they shouldn’t worry since she is eating well. Emilia notes that Faby is nervous about the hearing the next day and assures her that everything will be fine. Octavio also emphasizes that things will turn out well.

At the hotel, Ivan tells Olmo that she thinks it’s time they leave the hotel. When Olmo assures her that it won’t be long before they return home, Ivana thinks it will take long and she can’t live like this. When she adds that there is a house for sale, Olmo refuses to buy a house when what they have to do is gather some capital and do what needs to be done…he prefers to stay at the hotel so that he can remember what he lost and what he has to recover. It’s all a matter of contacting Rodrigo and pressuring him. Olmo again assures her that they will return to their house; she shouldn’t worry. Ivana tells him that is not all she is worried about; the custody hearing for Faby is the next day. Olmo again reassures her that everything will turn out well; Faby is sure to be with her tomorrow. They will return to their home soon; even Marina will return to live there with her baby and they will be the family that they once were.

Emilia tells Octavo that that Jass has asked her for a second chance. When Octavio questions if she will go back to Jass, Emilia remarks that she when she got married, she made a promise to God and her responsibility is to Jass. Octavio stresses that she needs to be responsible for herself; he feels things for her that he had not felt in a long time. When he asks if she doesn’t feel anything for him, Emilia can’t deny it, but her husband is her husband and he is the father of her child. They have known each other since child hood and the least she can do is give Jass a second chance. Octavio wonders if she will give him a chance and kisses her tenderly, but she slowly pulls away and leaves.

At the mansion, Fausto tells Jass that he has a task for him. Vera is feeling anxious about sending Olno to jail, so she needs to have the video that shows Olmo at the place of the murder…the one Tadeo took. When Jass reminds him that Tadeo is assumed to have run off, Fausto knows…but putting Olmo in jail for a crime he didn’t commit will be a pleasure for Fausto. Just then, Pedro calls Jass and asks to talk to Nico since Vera isn’t answering his calls. After Fausto tells Jass to lie to Pedro and tell him that Nico isn’t there, Jass tells Pedro that Nico left with Vera and hangs up.

Vera is with Nico who wants to draw a picture of his papa. After Vera tells him that she thinks that once everything is over, they will be with him, Jass enters and tells her that he wants to talk to her.

At the hearing, Ivana tells the judge that Faby is better off living with her. When Octavio counters that Faby’s opinion is important and that she is the one who decided to live with him, Ivana argues that is only because he filled her head with cobwebs and manipulated her. Faby interjects that she made a conscious decision about what she was doing, Ivana retorts that Faby is just an adolescent and she doesn’t know what she wants or what is best for her. When Octavio brings up that Ivana lied to Faby all her life, Ivana hisses that he should be the one to be giving lessons on morality since he disappeared all her life. After Ivana reiterates that Faby should live with her, Octavio questions where hey will live…a hotel!? The judge questions where Ivana lives and Ivana denies living in a hotel…she is just taking some time to relax at a hotel. After a pause, Faby raises her hand and asks to make a statement.

Once outside, Jass gives Vera her phone and pretends to be upset. When Vera asks what is going on, Jass tells he that they got a tip-off on where Tadeo could be hiding. Vera asks if the video could be there…and insists on going with Jass; if this is the evidence they need to bring Olmo down, Vera is will to do anything.

Wiser-than-the-adults in this show, Eddy advises Emilia to give Octavio a chance; she shouldn’t hide behind a marriage that isn’t working. Emilia argues that, until recently, Jass was a good husband and father, they were happy…his father made a mistake…and everyone makes mistakes. When Eddy asks if she is going back to Jass, Emilia isn’t sure; so Eddy tells her that if she does go back to him, she will go alone, because Eddy doesn’t want anything to do with him. Emilia pleads with him telling him that he is what gives her strength…he is her pillar. She asks if they can give their family another chance.

At the courtroom, Faby goes up to testify. She addresses the judge and tells him that she wants to live with her father. She confirms that Octavio just came into her life, but that is her mother’s fault. Faby continues that she lived a life of luxury, but it was all a lie because she didn’t know that she had a biological father. He doesn’t know what it was like to live in that house full of lies and secrets...she felt very bad living there. Ivana’s attorney then stands and states that the young girl is not mentally stable and has been manipulated by her father. He asks that she remain in the mother’s custody.

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 69: A Few Steps Forward…a Few Steps Backward Part 4

Jass and Vera arrive at what is supposedly Tadeo’s place. After Vera comments that there is no one there, Jass tells her that someone must have tipped them off. They start looking around and when Jass tells Vera to look in a certain spot that looks to be suspicious, Vera conveniently finds the USB and she thinks that is what could bring Olmo down. She thanks Jass for everything; and after Vera leaves, Jass calls Fausto and tells him that Vera fell for it.

At the hospital, Gaston goes to sit Marina who thinks that this time things will go well with her pregnancy. When she mentions that Gaston will be the next heir, Gaston isn’t sure since the decision hasn’t been made...and their father has made him have some doubts. Marina thinks that Gaston should go for it…it is his right to take their father’s place. Pedro then approaches with a big teddy bear and congratulations.

At the courtroom, the judge states that he doesn’t think Faby is mentally unstable and can make her own decisions. Ivana’s attorney interrupts and asks for a recess which is granted.

Pedro tells Marina and Gaston about how he fell in love with Vera and asks that they forgive him for keeping it from them. After Gaston jokes that Pedro is stealing his thunder, he tells Pedro that the past is the past…and the siblings chat and laugh. Gaston then hints that Marina is pregnant and Marina confirms.

Emilia and Eddy arrive at the mansion with luggage in tow. Jass is quite happy that they will now be a happy family without any worries.

Ivana is in the restroom listening to Faby throw up. When Faby comes out of the stall, Uvana comments that she thought Faby had gotten over her problem and assures her that whatever happens, Faby can count on her to be there for her. If Faby allows it, Ivana can help her. When Faby tells her that she can help by letting her live with her father, Ivana puts her tentacles around Faby and tells her that she can stay with her father (hard to believe, isn’t it?)

Vera shows Octavio the video on the USB. As Eddy quietly approaches and listens behind the door, he hears Vera state that they now have Olmo and need to go to the cops. Fausto tries to dissuade her but Vera is fed up of waiting…he is her mother’s murderer and Olmo has to pay!

Teo and Pedro take the photos Teo took of the vehicle full of money to Gonzo. After Gonzo worries that the photos are not very clear, Pedro remarks that they at least have the connection that will lead them to Fausto…and when Fausto falls, so will Olmo. As they talk, Julio buzzes and Teo leaves to let him in. Julio enters explaining that Octavio asked him to come since Octavio is at the custody hearing.


 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 69: A Few Steps Forward…a Few Steps Backward Part 5

At the hearing, Octavio is all smiles since Faby has told him about her exchange with Ivana. As the judge is about to announce his decision, Ivana’s attorney stands and asks that Ivama would like to speak. Ivana stands and states that she is very worried about her daughter’s health…she has a terrible illness. As Faby stands looking confused and betrayed, Ivana continues to talk about Faby’s problem with bulimia…and it is obvious thay the time with her father has made her have a relapse! Faby angrily states that the only thing her father has done is love her and take care of her; and Octavio interjects that he knows about the bulimia and they are managing it well. Ivana yells that Faby was just vomiting in the restroom and questions if that is what Octavio considers managing it well…he doesn’t even know what is going on with his daughter! Faby yells that she tricked her!! The judge then states that, with the new information, he will end the hearing and they will reconvene at a later date.

Pedro and Julio lock horns over Vera. After Teo tells them to settle down, he suggests that they record Agus, detain him and get him to declare against Fausto.

Faby storms out as Octavio follows asking why she hadn’t told him anything, Fanyy cries that this is not an illness that is simply managed with pills. Octavio hugs her as he tells her that they will work through this together.

Laiza finds Ramiro who is working as a waiter. When she quickly question what he meant about being a criminal, Ramiro leads her away so that they can talk.

At the hospital, Gaston is with Melida who asks if they have the money for a new house since she doesn’t want the baby to live in a hotel. Gaston then tells her that Olmo is disappointed because he won’t manage a shady business in money laundering; he was not made for that. Melida reminds him that he was born in a golden crib thanks to that business, but Gaston argues and questions what kind of example he would be setting for his son. Melida emphasizes that she is a top-notch lawyer and knows that no one makes that much money with an straight business. She didn’t know what Olmo was doing but she suspected it. She comments that Olmo is not a criminal; he is a very intelligent man who has played the game with the rules he was given. Melida then tells Gas that he either goes in and they can live the life they deserve or he can get out and his father will enforce the “law of ice” on him. Gas looks at her as he ponders the options.

Ramiro has told Laiza his story and ends that Olmo and Fausto got together and agreed to kill Tomas, the third partner. The rest, she already knows; Olmo ordered him to kill Fausto. Laiza struggles with the thought that Olmo killed Pedro’s father!

Agus is still in the garage as he talks to Jass on the phone and tells him that he will take very good care of his money…and he won’t tell anyone, especially EL Chamaco’s minions. Close by, Gonzo and Teo sit in their car recording the conversation and smile at their success. As Agus hangs up and turns the corner, Octavio grabs him and arrests him!! (Woohoo! The cops take a few steps forward!)

Ivana and Olmo are at a restaurant discussing the hearing. Ivana worries, but Olmo thinks that she won the battle…and now she has time to gather what she needs to win. Ivana then asks if Gaston agreed to help out with Rodrigo, so Olmo tell her he hasn’t…but he will. Just then, Olmo gets the call from Gaston…he is IN!! (Bad move Gas!)

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 69: A Few Steps Forward…a Few Steps Backward Part 6

Octavio has Agus at headquarters. When Agus refuses to talk, Octavio threatens that if he doesn’t talk, he will spend the rest of his life in jail! Agus gets jittery and claims he didn’t do anything. Octavio knows that he will talk and assures him that they aren’t really interested in him, but in his boss. Agus thinks he is talking about J-ass-into, but Octavio clarifies that Jass is just a “boy,” the one they are after is Fausto, or rather, Raul Bernal.

Faby and Eddy are together. Eddy is trying to assure Faby that she will end up with Octavio, but Faby notices that Eddy is pacing nervously. Eddy admits that he needs to tell her something…they had agreed not to keep secrets from each other; and he has to tell someone because then another innocent person will go to jail.. and all because he can’t talk. Eddy then stutters as he tells Faby, “My grand…father, Fausto, killed…Antonia, Vera’s mother!” When Faby questions what she heard, Eddy repeats that his grandfather killed her…he shot her!!

At headquarters. Vera enters looking for Octavio. She has evidence against Olmo…she has a USB that shows that Olmo killed her mother.

Back with Eddy and Faby, Eddy tells Faby that he will never forget Fausto’s face when he killed Antonia…he didn’t even flinch! Eddy was afraid that if he talked, he would be put in jail because he was there. Faby tells him that if they wait any longer to tell the truth, it’ll be worse. She asks if he doesn’t want to save himself and his family!

Octavio has turned in the video. When Vera urges him to hurry because once Olm finds out he will run, Octavio tells her that he needs to tell her something first. He explains that this is not a simple case since the state doesn’t like to admit their mistakes…and especially since the case where a poor guy paid for a rich man’s sins is already closed. Octavio understands Vera’s frustration, but they need stronger evidence…such as a confession or the weapon used.

Olm calls Gaston and tells him that everything is ready for the baby’s announcement party. Olmo then tells Gas that he needs to go see a businessman, Rodrigo Ortega…to discuss the business they discussed. Once Gas hangs up, he asks Melida if they will have to pay a price if he crosses that line that his father has drawn. Melida assures him that there will be a price to pay—crossing that line comes with responsibilities…and prizes…that the price that they will have to pay to be rich and powerful…like Gaston wants to be…and how they want their son to be.

Vera returns to the mansion and tells Fausto that she is losing hope since it’s not that easy to go against Olmo. Fausto advises her not to lose hope…someday, she will have the life she always wished for.

Gonzo tells Pedro and Teo that Agus refuses to give a statement and is asking for an attorney. After Pedro asks if they can’t get anything out of him. Gonzo reiterates that they can’t…and anyway, Agus only dealt with Jass, never with Fausto; and what they need is something to implicate Fausto. Pedro argues that if Agus was working with Jass, then he was obviously connected to Fausto, but Gonzo counters that is not enough to convince a judge. Gonzo thinks that Agus will end up talking since most talk after they spend a couple of nights in jail. Pedro is frustrated that when they seem to be getting ahead, something always happens; so Teo assures him that if Gonzo thinks they can succeed, then they will!

There was hope for Gastón . . . but not for long. What a weenie!

Poor Fabi! I am not expecting a good outcome for her in the custody hearing after Ivana mentioned the “bulimia” !!!!! Oh, no! Her bulimia is probably the result of living with super controller Ivana IMHO.

Finally, Eddy is talking and Fabi doesn’t seem like the kind of kid that can keep a secret under lock and key especially about Fausto being the murderer of Vera’s mother. I could see her inadvertently letting it slip.

They told us there would be some action tonight in the previews. I hope they didn’t lie! ; )

RgvChick, your always astute observations were crystal clear, you struck gleaming gold with your writing. Superb.

“Wiser-than-the-adults in this show, Eddy advises Emilia to give Octavio a chance; she shouldn’t hide behind a marriage that isn’t working” was perfect. Eddy sees all for who they truly are. “Emilia pleads with him telling him that he is what gives her strength…he is her pillar”. And yet, his reluctance to return to Fausto’s, his angry countenance was palpable. But, blurting out the truth to Faby, he was clearly terrified. A child forced into manhood, a world in which too much is being asked of him.

Best moments were the Emilia/Octavio kiss and the happiness and bonding of the three siblings – Pedro, Gaston and Marina.

Too many "worst" scenes to count. Blech.

I can’t recall any master manipulators more calloused and cruel than Olmo and Fausto. “They will return to their home soon; even Marina will return to live there with her baby and they will be the family that they once were” and Gaston’s being forced into the “life” paled in comparison to Ivana’s heinous toying with Faby. Fausto feels Jacinto is beneath him and holds him in contempt. He has used his only daughter without a second thought and cares not. Such evil can barely be comprehended.

Jarifa, I’m still contemplating “Fabi doesn’t seem like the kind of kid that can keep a secret under lock and key especially about Fausto being the murderer of Vera’s mother”. A scary thought…

Still a long way to go.

I felt sorry for Eddy because “ . . . he was clearly terrified.” just as you said. Too bad he was so upset that he ended up telling Fabi what he knew.

Jarifa, for a nanosecond, I felt for Jacinto, beyond happy when Emilia and Eddy arrived at Fausto's. But then I thought of what he has done, who he has become and my heart hardened. He is responsible for so much including murder. What, all to impress Fausto who could not care less about him?

Eddy looked miserable, didn't Jacinto see that???

And I am worried about how Antonia's murder will be revealed and to whom. Ack.

So..guessed guessed ,the cheerful, harddrinking playboy Gas just enjoyee their lifestyle of riches and remained clueless as to how their fortune was made. To quote one of my favorite singers, what a fool believes, he sees. Now what will Olmo do since Gas doesnt want to take over his life of crime.

I feel sorry for Emilia who seems to have a heart of gold and was happy in her former simple life with jAss and Eddy. Poor Eddie needs to tell someone that his awful abuelo killed Antonia. I hope tgat Octavio and Emilia can help Faby. She has been dealt a bad hand for sure.
 

TU AMOR ep 15

Consuelo makes a miraculous recovery from her fainting spell and begs the paparazzi photographer to take back the charges against Leonardo. At one point she even offers to beg on her knees. The photographer is unconvinced and suggests she let the lawyers handle it. Leo needs to pay for his mistakes. This encounter is recorded by someone we can't see with a camera at a distance.

Doctor Rosamaria takes a hypnotized Ricardo from his happiest to his saddest memory. His father is trapped. There is fire everywhere. He can't get him out. He tells Ricardo that he's not his father and to go away. Doctor RM brings him out of his trance. He's frustrated that he can't remember his father's name, where he lives, etc. She tells them to be patient and try to relax. Little by little his memories will return. Later in the episode she puts him under again. He flashes back to himself overhearing a heated exchange between his sister and their father Armando who has been cruel to his son and needs to trust him more. When Ricardo reawakens the doctora doubts that the hypnosis worked and doesn't think he remembered anything. She thinks he should try seeing a psychologist friend of hers. But he remembered almost everything. He's Ricardo Manrique!

At the ranch, Patricia is telling Hector how much it means to her. She was born there and has many pleasant memories. If there is time, she'll show him the spring. She says it's the last time she will come. He asks if she is selling it. No, that would be like selling her soul, her memories, her essence. It's Helena's now. Guillermo calls and suggests that there may be a picture of his daughter among Ricardo's things. Patricia promises to look but isn't very optimistic. She doesn't yet know if she'll be spending the night at the ranch. She asks Hector if he'd be OK with that. Later she shows him the spring and starts to take off her clothes in order to take a dip. While thay frolic, Hector tells Pat how he and Helena met the day of the crash. Patricia is quiet on the ride home from the ranch. Hector worries that he may have said something wrong. No, she was just missing her family. She has gotten into his head with her deceptions so much that he tries to turn down his payment for the trip.

Helena is in a bind because Yolanda poached her regular models by offering them more money. Claudio suggests they call some modeling schools and have them send over some of their best students. It's not ideal but they're out of options. Meanwhile, Valentina surprises Nora with a trip to a modeling school. She offers to let her enroll. They are also being photographed by an unseen person with a camera. After leaving the school, Valentina literally bumps into Helena who gets instantly irate and says she hopes she doesn't get accused of hitting Val like last time. The unseen camaraman records this too. Helena is really angry about being accused of trying to steal designs. She thinks Valentina is as malevolent as Yolanda and tells her as much. She won't let Val explain what really went down.
 

TU AMOR ep 15 part 2

Camila asks her mother how it occurred to her to try to find the paparazzi. That it was a dangerous thing to do. It came to her while she was praying and Valentina agreed to go with her. When Mina comes in they ask her where the bear is that Helena gave her. She threw it in the trash because that woman is trying to steal her father. Hector is going to have to have a serious talk with her about his relationship with Helena. When she drops by to see how Connie is doing, Mina bursts in tell tell everyone that her dad says that he's sleeping with a woman from work and will be home tomorrow. She sticks out her tongue to Helena and leaves. Camila explains that she is jealous. After her mom died, Hector had amigas but never a novia. Camila supposes it was painful for Hector but that he never talks about his feelings. Helena needs to be patient with him but there is also something else. Leonardo has been in love with her for a long time.

It's not going well at Helena's studio. The models are pretty but stiff and there is no time to teach them how to walk. Uriel, the model wrangler, still has to decide on music and makeup. He wants pastel colors which is the trend. Helena shoots that down right away. She doesn't go with trends. They decide to go with black and white in the style of Phantom of the Opera. It hasn't been tried since 2017. Hector comes to the studio and Helena is miffed because she hasn't heard from him all weekend. Her annoyment turns to happiness when he asks her to be his novia.

Patricia tells Guillermo that a boy saw Valentina and Nora drown while trying to cross the river. The padre will let them know when he gets back. She also says that there were no photos of Ricardo's novia among his things. This makes him angry and he leaves. Patricia tells Adelaida that he's probably stubborn enough to go to the border to look for the girls himself. She says that she's thought of this, and that if he does, he's going to find the unrecognizable remains of two women there.

Val makes some last minute changes on one of the dresses. Beba tells her that Yolanda isn't going to like it. Valentina says, look, they're my designs, ... Yolanda arrives with security at this point and says, no, they're my designs and you're fired.

"Weenie" describes Gaston perfectly, Jarifa! I could not believe that Melida bragged about being a top-notch laywer, yet she advises him to continue his father's dirty deeds...and she will be expecting their SON to do the same! Ivana sure trained her right!

And ITA that Ivana is the cause of Faby's bulimia. Faby should have known better than to fall for Ivana's little charade, but then, Faby probably is desperately wanting Ivana to be the mother she has never been.

Diana, "I can’t recall any master manipulators more calloused and cruel than Olmo and Fausto." I can't either! I do remember some very evil toxic mothers and fathers, but it was just one per TN..in this case we have TWO very evil and heartless sperm donors who use their own children to get what they want...at whatever cost, even their lives.

Susanlynn, "I feel sorry for Emilia who seems to have a heart of gold and was happy in her former simple life..." I feel sorry for her too, but she is a real ditz. Staying in a marriage with a person who has done a 180 in such a short time is just mindboggling.

Kudos to the young actor who portrays Eddy; his entire body exuded terror. If Faby tells anyone what Eddy confided, it'll be Octavio...and that is a good thing, IMO. She certainly won't tell Ivana after that stunt she pulled!

Well, looks like Univision finally caught on to their little mix up; "Te Acuerdas" is back on the regular schedule for FRIDAY!!

It was nauseating watching Patricia play Hector. But even worse was her dreamy utterance of "Hector" as she was thinking of him. Ack.

Although I didn't comment on your weekend post, I believe I have commented on your other recaps. Rgv Chick and I are recapping Te Acuerdas and I also hope to give this more attention after that ends.

TU AMOR. Another excellent recap, JoelD, and it looks as if the gang is back! (comment gang, that is). Consuelo's "miraculous recovery" indeed. Little does she know that there is some deeper scamming plot between Leonardo and the paparazzi afoot here. Whoa! The plot really thickens now that Ricardo remembers who he is. Is Patricia trying to manipulate Hector to influence Helena? I wonder who's taking all those photos of Valentina, etc.? It seems a little contrived that Helena won't even listen to Valentina. And, Yolanda seems to be cutting off her nose to spite her face, as the saying goes, in framing and firing Valentina. Yes, she has Valentina's designs for this season's fashion parade--but Valentina isn't going to get less talented or valuable as she acquires more experience. How will Yolanda replace her with someone equally good for subsequent seasons?

Thank you, JoelD, for your most excellent recap. Don't feel that nobody is reading if there aren’t a lot of comments. Unfortunately, that is the plight of bloggers and publishers of all sort of content on the internet. Lots of people read, few comment. Since I started recapping many moons ago, I have made it a practice to leave a comment here, on YouTube or wherever I am getting my content from. It is no fun feeling like you are writing for nobody.

Anyway, I was looking for a novela to watch since “Acuérdate de mí” will be ending soon. I hadn't cared for the first episode of “Diseñando tu amor” but decided to give it another chance and binge watched this weekend to catch up. “Tu amor” has the advantages of being on early and having an established patio. Also, it seems light and breezy compared to what I have been watching in spite of all of the drama. That being said, I cannot stand many of the characters already. Those would be Nora (brat), Consuelo (forever doting on Leo)and Mina (a touch too bratty for me: there seems to be a trend in children being bratty lately:bratty is not cute just annoying), Beba and Yolanda (self-explanatory).

I was happy to see Mariluz Bermúdez again as the good doctora. I hadn't seen her since “El bienamado” where she had bright red hair that set off her blue eyes. The blond look makes her look totally different.

The Phantom of the Opera is a genius idea: the mask can hide Camila’s burned face.

Embajador #54 part 1

She won’t say his name. He yells at her, then turns away in frustration.

She thinks back to the flight they took to Montenegro to rescue Melek: My name is Nare, Nare, she tells Sancar, don’t call me the ambassador’s daughter! Sancar replies, what should I call you? Sancar’s Nare? Okay, maybe it’s not Sancar’s Nare anymore, she says, but I’m not the ambassador’s daughter. I’m just Nare.

Sancar explains, after a whole year I said to myself ‘Sancar, the ambassador’s daughter was nothing but a beautiful dream you had as a child. Now she’s a colorful bird. You will not go after her or allow that sword to pierce your heart again.’ I made an oath, he says, I promised not to say your name ever again Will I ever regret that? It doesn’t matter. She asks, did you swear? But I never betrayed—he interrupts, that’s the reason the ambassador’s daughter is better. End flashback.

He turns back to her. She finally looks at him and says, you were the one who hurt me with that sword. You pierced my heart, too. I will not break my oath. She goes back into the house.

Elvan is fixing Melek’s hair. Nare comes in and sends Melek out to her dad. Hugs and kisses. Do you want to have breakfast with me, Melek asks him? Your dad had breakfast, Nare tells her daughter, now he has to go to work. Melek says she can go with him. Nare’s not good with that. Sancar tells Melek, I could skip work and we could spend the whole day together. Nare doesn’t like that idea either. But she relents, you can go to work and that’s it. Sancar tells Melek to go wait in the car.

We are not done yet, Sancar tells Nare, you will break your oath. Never. Get out, she replies. We hear Melek call from outside, Gediz! Nare starts walking out to meet him in her robe. Sancar is upset that she would go outside dressed like that [especially to meet Gediz, I think]. Why do you care, Nare asks, you’re not going to have a child with another woman? She exits the gate. Sancar runs to stand in front of her to block Gediz’ view. Gediz tells Melek to wait in the truck.

Gediz and Nare exchange greetings. She congratulates him on being an uncle soon. Sancar tries desperately to get her to go back into the house. Why don’t you change your clothes, he says, pushing her back. In defiance, she starts to untie her robe. He grabs her and tells her in a whispered panic, don’t do it, don’t do it. She shouts back, I’m going to change my clothes. The man I won’t name has ordered me to do it. The one who has a pregnant wife. The man who is upset and believes he has the right to tell me what to do. She says, I guess I can be a little angry, you think?

Gediz tells Nare, do you want to calm down? Nare tells Sancar, nos vemos and don’t tell Melek about the baby or I’ll kill you. I want her to come home happy. She asks Gediz to come in. They go through the gate and she shuts the door on Sancar. He slams his hand on the door and she walks back and kicks it. Gediz asks, are you angry because Menekse is pregnant? Elvan has come outside at that moment and hears—Menekse is pregnant? Uh, oh. Elvan pieces it together and asks Nare, then…that’s why you are going to Switzerland? Gediz is shocked, wait, are you going to Switzerland? Nare does not answer the question, she goes inside to change. Gediz sighs.

Someone else knocks at the door. Elvan complains this is like a guest house, everyone comes here. Always someone at the door. It’s Zehra and she’s looking for Sancar. Elvan fills her in—he just left, his wife is pregnant, and his daughter’s mother just found out and kicked him out. She invites Zehra in for breakfast.

Embajador #54 part 2

Zehra enters the gate. She says they were having breakfast when Menekse went crazy. She came to tell Sancar to come home. Zehra takes a look at Gediz and asks what happened. Elvan replies, Nare is going to Switzerland and he’s upset. Zehra asks Elvan, what will you do when Nare leaves? Elvan doesn’t want to think about that and says let’s have breakfast! Gediz and Zehra greet each other.

Elvan, unnoticed, looks in on Nare from the doorway of her room. They are both crying.
Melek is in the car with Sancar and Kavruk. I talked with mom, she says. I think I need to have a brother, right Kavruk? [why she asks him, I don’t know] Sancar is pleasantly surprised [not so fast, buddy] Melek continues, first you need to divorce and marry my mother, right Kavruk? Sancar doesn’t understand. Melek explains, my brother’s mother should also be my mother, not your wife’s. Never hers, right Kavruk? [Uh oh, sancar.]

Nare is dressed and faces Gediz. She apologizes for taking too long. Are you done crying, he asks? Because I’m going to give you a hard time, too, he tells her. Just because Sancar will have another child, you are taking his daughter away? Don’t you know what will happen?

Melek didn’t take it well, Nare says, and I don’t want her to find out. Gediz thinks that Melek will accept the baby. Nare is adamant, I don’t understand why my daughter has to accept this from her father? Gediz understands and he asks, are we talking about you or Melek? Nare admits it’s both of them. Neither my daughter nor I will accept.

Gediz asks, what can’t you accept? Explain it to me. Why do you run from him all the time? If you want, go back up to the cliff. Elvan is listening in, unnoticed. Nare snaps back, that’s a low blow, Gediz. She continues, think of how difficult it will be to see him with his son and his wife. Ok, Gediz gives her that. But it is possible, he tells her, do think you are the only one suffering for love? Gediz looks at Nare like he’s about to confess. What do you mean, asks Nare?

Elvan interrupts. I can’t believe what I’m hearing, she says, it’s funny to hear a man talking about something he knows nothing about. She laughs. Gediz turns to her, and only you know about love Elvan? No, she replies, and that why I keep quiet, and you should, too.

Gediz gets up and says let’s go to the recently acquired marina. Nare chases after him, Gediz, you don’t understand. Once I get custody, we will leave. What work are you talking about?

Does Sancar know you’ll leave with his daughter if you get custody, he asks? The look on her face tells the answer is no. If he finds out, Gediz warns, you will not get custody. You won’t tell him, will you, she asks? Gediz issues a threat, get ready and come to the marina as the director of foreign affairs or Sancar will hear about this. Are you blackmailing me, she asks? You have one hour. He leaves. Zehra hugs Nare. Nare puts her arm out for Elvan to join them.

Menekse shows up at the marina and talks to Dudu. Dudu is surprised to see Menekse, she should be home resting. Meanie asks for a big favor. Nare moved and she needs her new address. Why?

Menekse puts on the act, I’m pregnant and my baby is in danger but Sancar won’t leave her house. She has to forget my husband. Dudu doesn’t understand and tells Meanie, has Nare threatened you? If your husband doesn’t care about you, what does she have to do with it? Meanie accuses Dudu of protecting Nare. Dudu’s not protecting anyone, she just doesn’t understand why Nare is to blame. Isn’t it Sancar’s fault? Meanie counters, when the female wags her tail, the male comes after her.

Embajador #54 part 3

Dudu thinks that’s nonsense. Meanie plays her cards, if you allow a married man to chase you, for example, my BIL Yahya… Gulp. This gets Dudu’s attention. What are you implying? Menekse reminds Dudu she saw them flirting outside Sadiclar. Dudu thinks back. Meanie says, do you think if you pay that much attention to him, Yahya will chase you?

Dudu is flustered and denies anything happened or could happen between them. He’s her boss. Meanie knows by Dudu’s reaction, she on to something. So, can I have the address? To her credit, Dudu stays firm. I won’t give you the address. Sancar is my boss and Nare is my director, she tells Meanie, I will not get involved in family matters. And you better not invent lies about Mr. Yahya. Dudu walks away shaken. Meanie is gonna use this somehow.

Before Nare leaves for work, she makes Elvan an offer. Come with us to Switzerland. What? The three of us can go. I spoke with Isabel, she will look for a house for us. Nare is enthusiastic. Three women in search of a new life. A life far from the Efeloglus, Elvan asks? A life that belongs to us, Nare replies.

Elvan is reluctant. She doesn’t know about those places and doesn’t speak the language. Nare will teach her. Elvan thinks she will be a burden on Nare. Nare does not see it that way. Elvan would be a support. They would support each other. Elvan is not eager at all. Nare asks her to think about it and they can talk tonight.

Nare opens the gate and Halise is standing there. Yahya brought her. Sorry for the inconvenience, Halise stutters, I wanted to speak with Elvan. Elvan walks over and invites Halise in. Nare gives her congratulation to Halise on the new grandchild, then quickly leaves.

Where is Melek, Halise asks? With Sancar. So Nare knows about the baby, Halise says, how can he come to this house? Elvan says she doesn’t know. Did you come to see my new home, she asks her MIL? What are you doing here?

Halise gathers herself up to tell Elvan, I’m here to say I’m sorry. Elvan asks, sorry? Is it the apocalypse? Are you sick? Are you going to die? Halise smiles, why are you surprised? I said I was sorry to Nare, why wouldn’t say sorry to my dear DIL? Yahya is the one who should be sorry, Elvan answers, he kicked me out of the mansion. Halise says that Yahya will apologize. But she’s apologizing because she told him to throw her out. You put a gun to his head, Elvan scoffs.

Halise said it was out of love for his mother he did this. My son can’t live without you and the mansion needs you. Come home please. Elvan wants to know Halise’s game. Halise plays dumb. Elvan guesses it’s because Halise can’t deal with pregnant Meanie and she needs her help. Elvan can’t have children, but she can do other things, right? Halise is busted but does not give up. How could you say that, my beautiful DIL? Can the sea be separated from the land? Do you have any other family? Yahya peeks in from the doorway.

Elvan starts to cry. I thought you were the only family I had, but now I’m alone in this world. Yahya comes in and takes her hands in his. She pulls them away. If you need an apology, I’ll do it. If you come home, I’ll apologize all night long, I promise. I can’t live without you. Elvan thinks of Nare saying “a life that belongs to us.” Halise and Yahya wait for her answer.

Here I am, blackmailer, Nare tells Gediz. Says the girl who quits when she’s losing, Gediz retorts. What should I do, she asks, Melek will have a brother from her father’s wife, and I must accept we are a great united family? It’s my right not to accept. Gediz says, ok, but later. He must not know that you are fighting with Sancar. Who? Kahraman Boz. Let’s not give him an advantage.

Embajador #54 part 4

They go up to the terrace and Gediz introduces Nare to Kahraman. Finally, he says, I meet the legendary ambassador’s daughter. I will thank you not to call me that, Mr. Kahraman. Alright so that story ended, he says, what will the future son of Sancar call you? Gediz moves towards Kahraman and tells him to shut up. Nare pushes him back. Nare tells Kahraman her private affairs don’t concern him. She asks to see his client portfolio.

Of course you can see it, Kahraman tells her, but why are your affairs none of my business? Don’t you fight like hyenas over these private matters? Gediz warns him not to continue. What are you going to do about it, Kahraman goads, how will you make me shut up?

Kahraman explains to Nare, my wife was killed by your SIL [not entirely clear if he means Muge, Zehra or both] That’s why we are making this deal. Kahraman continues, the legends, the love, the popular songs. Do you know how the legends arise? For those like you but not for my wife. The woman I loved gets killed and no one writes a song about her. Your stupid story becomes a legend and my beloved rots in the grave, Kahraman says bitterly. Gediz interjects, the hell with your wife. Nare takes another approach—she gives Kahraman her condolences. He’s affected by that and he leaves.

Melek arrives at the marina lobby with her father and aunt. Melek tells Zehra, if you give me your shares, this place could be mine. Yes, Zehra says, then you would be everyone’s boss. Sancar jokes she will make him retire and take his seat. Kahraman enters the lobby. He asks, what is this? Are we here for a meeting or to take care of this girl? Melek tells him, I’m not a girl, I’m your partner. I know, Kahraman says, your dad gave you his shares. Congratulations.

Kahraman turns to Sancar, what are you going to do? Give my share to the tramp’s child? Whoa. Sancar has to control himself. What is a tramp, Melek asks? Sancar says it means nothing. Kahraman tells Melek, your mom is upstairs, why don’t you ask her. Sancar sends Melek up to her mother. Sancar warns Kahraman, my daughter doesn’t know she will have a brother and if you dare to say another word---

What are you going to do, Kahraman asks? Ruin my business? You already have. Destroy my family? Your sister already did that. That was 20 years ago and I was six, Zehra replies. Kahraman says, nothing has changed, my wife is still in the grave. And how are you? If you are asking about my foot, Zehra answers, I’m still crippled. Are you happy Mr. Kahraman? Good, stay that way, Kahraman tells her. Sancar can’t stand it anymore and he head butts Karhaman.

Melek tells her mom what Kahraman said and asks for the “tramp” explanation. Sancar, Zehra and Kahraman appear just in time to hear this. Nare tells her she doesn’t know and not to worry. She looks at Sancar and says, let others worry. Gediz suggests they take care of business, let’s go to the meeting.

Menekse sneaks back into the house and into her room. Atike was worried. Anything new, Meanie asks? Nobody asked for you, nobody came, Atike says, nobody wants to see us in this mansion. No one asked if you needed anything. Meanie not pleased. [what should she expect?]

Gulsiye and Ayse are cleaning outside. Kavruk comes by. Ayse stops him. Kavruk stops but looks away from her. Gulsiye asks where Sancar is. At work, he responds. No, that’s not what I mean, Gulsiye says, where is he staying? Ayse pipes up, maybe he didn’t marry for love and he doesn’t want to come home.

Meanie shouts for Gulsiye and Kavruk take that opportunity to escape further questioning. Gulsiye notices that Kavruk is shy around Ayse and they both laugh. Meanie won’t stop screaming so Gulsiye sighs and goes to her.

Meanie is put out because Gulsiye hasn’t come to ask if she needed anything. So she orders her to get her robe because she’s going to take a shower. I guess you know how to call me, Gulsiye snarks, but you don’t know how to find a robe. Gulsiye gets the robe and places it on the bed. If you need anything else, you can call me, she tells Meanie. Gulsiye leaves and Meanie starts to go after her. Atike tells Meanie not to take the bait. Think of the baby.

Did you find Nare, Atike asks? No, she moved. But I found something else, Meanie shares, there’s something going on between Yahya and Dudu. What? As sure as my name is Menekse, Yahya will become my slave. Atike welcomes the news.

Elvan has come back to the mansion with Yahya and Halise! She hesitates at the gate. Yahya holds his hand out for her. She doesn’t take it but walks to the door and goes through on her own. Halise tells Yahya to be patient, she will forgive. Yahya replies, that’s fine for you, after all, you brought Elvan back to put Menekse in her place.

Elvan sneaks behind Gulsiye. Gulsiye is complaining about Meanie. She wants to pull Meanie’s hair out but doesn’t want to be blamed if anything happens to the baby. But once that baby is born… Elvan surprises Gulsiye and it’s a happy reunion. You’re back! Elvan asks what’s been going on at the mansion? Why do you want to rip Menekse’s hair out? Gulsiye relates Atike has taken her room and she has to stay with Halise. Now Meanie screamed at me for a robe because she wanted to shower.

Is she showering now, Elvan asks? Yes. What are you thinking, Elvan? They run into the house. Elvan shuts the hot water! Menekse shouts and comes out in her robe. Who turned off the water heater? Elvan comes out singing her victory! Tell me, sister in law, did my return feel like a bucket of cold water? Gulsiye and Ayse enjoy the show. Even Halise watches and smiles. Elvan is back!

The lawyer explains that 51% of the marina is owned by Sadiclar and the families. For now, here is the distribution of the shares, he tells Kahraman and shows him the documents. Sancar says, “for now” are the important words. If you cannot carry the capital increase, you will be forced to sell your shares.

Kahraman asks, did you also give shares to your sisters? Yes, Gediz replies. Kahraman tells Nare he got married at this marina. Did she know that? Now is not the time for this, Gediz warns him. Why isn’t it time. Kahraman asks, my wife’s killers are shareholders, it’s not important?

Why do you keep calling children murderers, Sancar asks? He slaps the table and gets up. Tempers flare and everyone rises from their seats. Nare yells at all of them to sit. They comply. Nare addresses Kahraman, we can’t understand your loss, but we can at least try. Unfortunately, your wife is not here but she was lucky because she was able to experience that love. I’m sure you will meet again in the afterlife. Do you think we can continue with the meeting?

Kahraman asks, did they bring you here to calm me? Nare laughs, that’s not part of my job. I just want to support Sadiclar as the director of foreign affairs until a manager is established. Sancar speaks up, you are not here for that reason, Nare. Tomorrow is the custody trial. Melek’s grandfather will give custody to Mrs. Nare. She is here on behalf of my daughter and besides that…she will be our new manager.

And we are out.

Thanks, Rgv Chick, for sharing the good news. Friday is also my night to recap Loli on Telemundo. And the end of the semester is a very busy time for me at work. That’s why my recaps are coming later and later in the day.

Uni is definitely counter programming with the first season end and second season start of Embajador. You lucky Uni viewers! I had 2+ months of cliffhanger anxiety.

There's more that's been hinted at and that’s why Sancar took the opportunity when Kahraman’s marina had financial difficulty.

I don’t know if Gediz was going to tell but the way he looked at Nare said something, and she sensed it. But I must say Gediz’ “look” does not hold a candle to Sancar’s, IMHO.

This statement from Nare: The one who has a pregnant wife. The man who is upset and believes he has the right to tell me what to do. She says, I guess I can be a little angry, you think?....is on target for me. I've said from the beginning that everyone who expected Nare not to have a life of her own were way off base. Regardless of the reason Sancar is married and is now having a child. Nare has the right to assume this is the final nail in the coffin for them. Sancar has no right to expect that she won't move on with her life now. Although...I can see him being concerned now that the door might be open for Gediz.

I don't agree that Nare takes off with Melek. I get it she's angry and discouraged after this latest blow that Meneske is pregnant...but I agree with Gediz....she shouldn't just run away and take Melek. She should stick around...live her life and learn to co-parent with Sancar. I know it will be tough but he deserves a chance to get to know his child. He was a butthole but he deserves a chance. He doesn't deserve to control Nare's life however.

I didn't think Elvan was going to return to Yaya...but I can see why she would do so. She's not ready to leave the only place she's ever known and fly off to Switzerland with Nare....so maybe she felt she had no other choice. Pity that she doesn't know Halise is only using her...and only wants her home to help control or buffer what's ahead with Meneske. Wonder what Elvan would do if she ever finds out. This doesn't bode well for a future with Yaya...as he only did the biddings of Halise. I don't see that marriage lasting with this latest revelation....regardless of what Dudu is trying to get started.

Previously: At long last, Eddy admits his burdensome secret to Faby– Fausto murdered Antonia. Concurrently, the lens of the law is laser focused on Fausto, the architect and master mind of unspeakable violence and cruelty. As proof is non-existent (as Eddy’s revelation was limited only to Faby), hopes to reveal Fausto’s guilt are presently pinned on jailed errant errand boy Agus. Gonzo, whose clear, intelligent thinking has been the lone beacon of light throughout the enveloping darkness, is tasked with finding the missing, murderous pieces and fitting them together.

Home on Olmo’s, err Fausto’s range, Fausto announces preparations for his and Alicia’s wedding are commencing. Nico has Pedro on his mind and asks when he will come and is placated with a vague “someday”. Alicia hopes that Nico will be the ring bearer to which Vera agrees if Nico agrees. Fausto then rewards Nico with his favorite hotcakes (yum). When Emilia tries to take his plate after the meal concludes, Jass sits her down and tells her that is what they have servants for; he calls Dolores to reinforce the point.

Octavio tells Pedro that he has good news regarding progress on Antonia’s murder. They have a video, but first need to ensure it is authentic before they can proceed. Faby looks nervously at Octavio as he tells Pedro that it hasn’t been confirmed that it’s Olmo, but he will keep Pedro informed. After Octavio hangs up, Faby sits next to him and asks what would happen if she told him that she has information regarding Antonia’s death. As Octavio wonders what Faby has to do with Antonia’s death, Ivana arrives, interrupting and mockingly noting that “the monkey is dressed in satin.” Octavio assures her that he doesn’t have to dress up to win custody of his daughter; he knows his own worth.

Andres has a surprise for Marina and happily tells her she will be thrilled! He leads her off, bidding that she close her eyes as she smiles widely. After a short walk, she opens her eyes and is standing in a nursery. Amid the baby paraphernalia, her eyes focus on a crib and mobile. Marina dissolves in tears.

Marina walks out into the living area saying. “No! No! No! You shouldn’t have done that without consulting me or telling me anything!” She grabs a bottle of wine and tries to open it as Andres explains that it was to be a happy surprise; he didn’t know she would get upset. Marina cries that he needs to get rid of everything…he can give it to Gaston who might have use for it. Andres argues that it cost him a lot of trouble and money, but Marina doesn’t care…she doesn’t want to see it there! Andres takes the bottle from her and reminds her that she can’t drink, but Marina is too unhinged and cries (again) that she can’t have those things here!

At the court hearing, the judge announces that he is ready to rule in the custody matter, but Octavio asks to speak before a verdict is announced. Octavio states that they have been working hard to address his daughter’s eating disorder; she is even in therapy. Faby stands and confirms that she is trying her best to improve; she pleads that the judge allow her to live with her father. The judge tells Faby that he is aware of her problem and it is evident that her father loves her, but the person who knows her best is her mother. It was she who noticed and identified her problem immediately. Also, her father never mentioned her problem in the previous hearings. The patio of lowered expectations have been met - Custody is granted to Ivana! Octavio quickly stands and asked why his daughter’s wishes were disregarded, but the judge bangs his gavel and firmly states that the hearing is over. Ivana smiles wide and thanks her attorney as Faby cries and Octavio consoles her, embracing her in a loving hug.

Gaston has his initial meeting with Rodrigo Ortega who congratulates him on being a father. Rodrigo exudes flattery saying he was anxious to meet the heir of the Casares empire.

At the courthouse, Ivana hisses that she will not allow Octavio to get near Faby; he will never see her again! After Octavio argues that he is not going to stop fighting for Faby, Ivana remarks that she is tired of his attempts to take Faby. Next time she will not use this process she sneers looking him directly in his eyes. When Octavio states the obvious, that Ivana is clearly threatening him, Ivana readily admits that she is.

Gaston is looking forward to doing business with Rodrigo and the sentiment is returned similarly by Rodrigo. Cautiously, Rodrigo asks what Gaston thinks of the proposed business venture – he wants to make sure that they are on the same page. Gaston states that he envisions a company that makes a lot of money…and Rodrigo needs his help to “sanitize” it just like they did for El Chamaco. Rodrigo’s ire is roused and he states he doesn’t want to hear that name! Gaston realizes that he may not want him to mention that name, but he does exist. Gaston emphasizes that if Rodrigo wants his money to be clean, if he wants to invest it or use it however he pleases, there is no better place for it than the Casares Hotels. Rodrigo shakes out a pill from a bottle (which we gather is not aspirin), he tells Gaston that if they are to work together, his head needs to be functioning at 100%...and he hands Gaston the pill.

Ivana returns to her hotel suite with Faby who cries that she doesn’t want to be there, why is Ivana forcing her? Ivana totally ignores this and leads her to her bedroom with a closet of nice clothes that she can wear to her nephew’s celebration. When Faby angrily tells Ivana to stop treating her like a child and to stop trying to control her, Ivana walks out grousing that even though she gives Faby everything, she still complains! If Faby wants her to take away her internet access and her phone, she is fine with it; Faby can stay locked in her room…and she'd better not call Octavio! With her head held high, Faby rather scornfully retorts, “There she is! The same Ivana as ever! You haven’t changed at all!”

As Gaston talks business with Rodrigo, Pedro calls him to excuse himself from going to the baby’s announcement party as he knows full well he would not be welcome there. When he adds that the one Gaston should keep away is his father, Gaston asks him not to exaggerate. Pedro tries to convince him that Olmo is into some very shady business, but Gaston ignores him. Gaston throws shade at Pedro noting that when Pedro was the favored one, he didn’t seem to have a problem with it; so he shouldn’t be meddling now. CLICK! Gaston hangs up on Pedro. Gaston then returns to Rodrigo and asks if they have an agreement; Rodrigo nods assent.

At the hotel, Faby and Ivana’s war escalates. Faby cries that Ivana wants her there as her prisoner…and she is only a trophy! Ivana scathingly points out that she is in one of the best hotels and in the most luxurious suite…Puh-Lease! Faby wants to talk to Eddy and when she tries to threaten Ivana, Ivana mocks her saying that she can call the press so that Faby can tell them how horribly she is being treated! Ivana confiscates Faby’s cell. Faby throws down her backpack in utter frustration.

Gaston is at the event center for his baby’s party when he sees Laiza, waiting for Delia. Laiza congratulates Gaston and gives him a teddy bear for his baby. She admits she is also there to tell Gaston something very important. What she has to relate is not anything Gaston will want to hear, so she will be direct. Laiza quickly tells Gaston not to trust his father; Olmo has a dark side and Gaston needs to be aware. Gaston complains that everyone treats him like a child that can’t take care of himself! He knows perfectly well how the big businesses are run…and no one can succeed without a blind eye. Laiza clarifies that she is not talking about looking the other way which is very different from being a criminal. Gaston sharply asks her not to talk about his father like that. When Gaston adds that Olmo looks out for him and his family, Laiza realizes that she is too late…he has already shed his former self, turning to the dark side, emulating Olmo. As Laiza leaves, Gaston tries to return the teddy bear since he thinks she was not being sincere, but Laiza turns and walks away her face mirroring her acute pain.

Octavio tells Pedro that he lost custody of Faby and wonders why the Casares always get their way. Pedro understands and assures him that it won’t always be that way; they will recover what is theirs. Vera will leave Fausto’s protection when Olmo is in prison…and that is his objective right now.

Delia runs to Laiza and apologizes for making her wait. When Melida approaches. Laiza congratulates her on her baby, then tells Delia that she needs to talk to her. “In private” she says, dismissing Melida. Laiza tells Delia that she doesn’t want her to be at the party. Delia is shocked to hear her say that, so Laiza confesses that, in the letter, Ramiro told her that he had killed under Olmo’s orders. Laiza didn’t want to tell Delia what the letter said until she knew the whole story, and now she knows. Delia shakes her head in disbelief.

Octavio tells Pedro that the analysis on the video has not been completed. He then mentions that, before the hearing, Faby told him that a witness to Antonia’s murder had contacted her. As Octavio can no longer contact Faby, he suggests that Pedro would probably have better luck. Pedro remarks that there aren’t many people in Faby’s world right now; so he think he knows who the witness could be…it is someone who was photographed near the murder scene…it’s Eddy!

Laiza assures Delia that it is true! And after Ramiro did what he did, he had to leave them because his life was threatened. Aside from being a murderer, Olmo didn’t mention a thing to them! Laiza asks Delia if she thinks that a person like that could be her friend; he left her without a husband and he left her daughter without a father. They are interrupted by Mélida who tells Delia that there is still much to order, but Delia tells Laiza, “Let’s go!”

Andres packs up his car as Marina apologizes to Andres for overreacting. Even before she got pregnant, she has thought of baby names and had even set up a nursery, which she had to disassemble. Andes listens gravely to Marina’s deep hurt and hugs her forgivingly.

At the announcement party, Ivana is still cozying up to and flirting, whispering to Olmo that they should take advantage of everyone being there to announce that they are together. Looking like a deer in the headlights, Olmo is saved by a guest who congratulates them. Gaston speaks up to thank everyone for attending and starts talking about what an incredible event it is. After Mélida tugs at him and tells him to take it down a notch since he is “high,” Gaston tells her that she will just have to put up with it because it is only a result of his new work status. Olmo then takes the lead to welcome everyone and say how happy he is to have a new addition to the family. Meanwhile, Ivana spots Vera and strides up asking how dares she show up! When Vera threatens to make a scene in front of all the honorable guests, Ivana pulls her to the side. Vera came to talk to Olmo; and as Ivana is telling her that she has nothing to say to Olmo, he approaches and asks what is going on. Vera tells him that she has crucial evidence that could put him in jail…and she wants to talk to him.

At headquarters, Octavio’s boss tells him that the video is fake – it’s clearly been manipulated. As Octavio takes a good look, he sighs and wonders how he missed that the shadows and the reflection of the person do not match. When the boss asks who gave him the video, Octavio refuses to give him the information. The boss then tells him that he is making mistakes and overdoing it. When Octavio argues, the boss loses patience and tells him to turn in his badge and weapon!

Jass is digging a huge hole close to the stables. As he throws trash bags (which we assume are loaded with money) into the hole, Emilia watches.

Pedro finds Eddy walking outside and tells him that he knows he witnessed Antonia’s murder. Pedro asks him to go with him, telling him it’s very important.

Once away from all the guests, Olmo smirks as he asks Vera if Nico gave him his message. Vera ignores the question and tells Olmo that she has evidence that links him to a murder…he killed her mother! As she shows him the video, asking him if he recognizes it, she tells him that if he doesn’t admit it, she will take the video to the police and everyone will find out who the real Olmo is. Olmo retorts that she can take the video to whomever she wants; he wonders if her father couldn’t hire a better person to manipulate the video. When Vera again threatens to go to the police, Olmo tells her to go right ahead…she will only make a fool of herself.

Eddy denies he is the witness. Pedro empathetically states he can understand how that witness would feel; it must not be easy to carry such a burden. Pedro asks to be allowed to help carry that burden because he knows that Eddy is that witness. Pedro pleads with Eddy to let him help him; and Eddy can help him finish off Olmo. Pedro reminds Eddy that Faby is locked up in a golden cage and Eddy needs to help her get out. Eddy then cries, “It’s that…it wasn’t Olmo…it was Fausto! I saw my grandfather kill Antonia!”

Mouth agape, Pedro asks Eddy if he is positive he saw Fausto kill Antonia. Eddy asks why he would make up something like that; what would he have to gain? Pedro urges him to calm down and asks him to tell him about it. Eddy recounts that he was there because his mother had asked him to go pick up one of Bingo’s toys. The door was open and he saw how Fausto shot Antonia. He hid because he was scared.

Ivana asks Olmo what Vera wanted; so he tells her that Vera came with a falsified video and accused him of killing Antonia. After Ivana asks if he did it, Olmo admits to committing many crimes, but killing her was not one. All he did was send an innocent kid with a prior record to jail for it; so he could be in good standing with Vera. When Olmo admits that Granados helped him, Ivana gets upset because when Olmo is with Vera he loses sight of things. He talked to Vera and didn’t even think that she might be recording him. He thinks hard but then rather half-heartedly denies saying anything that could incriminate him. Ivana, unable to accept any interaction between Vera and her beloved, calls for Ruben and goes after Vera.

Pedro asks Eddy if Fausto saw him. Eddy says emphatically that Fausto did not but added that he was very afraid. After seeing his aunt’s mother dead, he just ran. He was scared that he would be blamed. That image follows him everywhere. He allowed the murderer to leave. Then, days later - he found out he was his grandfather! His grandfather who now has his father’s adoration. He messed up! Because of him, everyone’s life was ruined - Pedro’s, Vera’s, Faby’s, and now his mother’s too! Pedro thinks that if Eddy confesses to what he saw, it will be a bomb that will affect everyone. Eddy tells Pedro that he needs to protect Vera and Nico. Pedro assures him that he will.

Ivana and her minions catch up to Vera. Vera tells her that she’s fed up with her and her games; she can stay with her lover. Ivana smirks as she denies being Olmo’s lover; she is his woman! And that is how it should always have been because they were made for each other. Ivana warns Vera to stay away from Olmo. When Vera retorts that she would want to be close to her mother’s murderer, Ivana argues that Olmo didn’t kill her mother. As long as Vera is a nuisance, Ivana will have to take her own measures. She orders her minions to take Vera’s phone which they do after Silvio manhandles her. After the phone is destroyed, Ivana tells Vera that she can’t risk having any recordings that might incriminate them. Vera tells that is illegal! Ivana warns her to remain calm or she’ll have another accident.

Emilia, her curiosity getting the best of her, walks up and pulls one of the heavy trash bags from its resting place. She pulls out a packet of bills, muttering unhappily.

Olmo tells Gaston not to drink so much. He then tells Gaston that he is not the man who he thought he would be... he is a good father and a businessman. Olmo has already heard rumors about Gaston’s meeting with Ortega...and he is going down the right path. Olmo thinks that Gaston is moving up nicely as President of the Grupo; that is the way to move up in their world. When Gaston asks if Olmo ever did anything that he regretted, Olmo replies that in life, sometimes wrong steps are taken but that is part of the learning. Gaston isn’t asking about mistakes, he is asking if Olmo ever crossed a line that he shouldn’t have.

Olmo admits to having done some horrible things. He hadn’t told Gaston because he wasn’t proud of it...but he had no choice; he had to give them the life they deserved. Everything that he and Marina have was not free...and neither was the life he gave to Gaston’s ungrateful brother. When Gaston asks if ever regretted it, Olmo gives him a definite “No” because whoever enters in this game knows exactly where he is, where he steps. Ortega might hug him today, but tomorrow he might stab him in the back...that’s the way it is. But the ones who will always remain at his side is his family. Olmo tells Gaston that he could have chosen not to meet with Ortega. When he asks why he did it, Gaston replies that he did it for his son, Mélida and the family. Olmo assures him that those feelings will always be with him; those whom he loves will be what will drive him to do continue when things get all twisted.

Fausto invites Emilia to go shopping with them, but she is not feeling up to it. After Alicia tries to convince her and is unsuccessful, Alicia comments that Emilia is acting strange.

Octavio dressed in sunglasses and a baseball cap is immediately recognized by Ivana who mocks him for his disguise. Octavio pleads with her to allow him to see Faby who is secluded and going through a bad time. Ivana retorts that Faby is not secluded; she is being protected from him. When Octavio insists that he only wants to see Faby and give her a hug, Ivana smirks she thinks that Faby is not the only one Octavio wants to see...she can see Octavio quiver just by looking at her. Octavio tells her that she is the worst mistake in his life, but even in the mud, there can be flowers; and his daughter is flower who despite being in all that mud, has a pure heart. What he doesn’t understand is why Ivana won’t allow Faby to be happy. Ivana argues that it won’t be happiness, it’ll be a mediocre life, a life of the poor. When she adds that Faby is a Casares, Octavio insists that she is not a Casares...and Ivana will not take her down with her. He then swears that Ivana will end up in jail. Watching covertly high above the scene from the stairs, Olmo watches as Ivana calls for security.

Jass calls Emilia as she walks in the house. Emilia found the money and threatens that if he doesn’t tell her what is going on, she and Eddy will leave right now!

Pedro drops Eddy off and sincerely thanks him. When he notices Eddy took his cell, he yells to him but too late. Eddy is already ensconced behind the gates. Of hell.

Away from the Casares madness, Lola and Bernardo face tough times in their own not quite yet blooming romance. Bernardo comments that the store is doing well. When Lola remarks that at least something is working for them, Bernardo gets upset. Lola thinks that if he is going to get upset every time they talk, then they just shouldn’t talk. Just then, Lola gets a call from Regina. She doesn’t want to talk to her father, she needs a favor from Lola...she wants Lola to come and pick her up; she doesn’t know where she is and it is scary there. Lola looks concerned, yet conflicted (as well she should).

ACUERDAS Episode 70 Truth And Consequences Part 7 LAST

Eddy hopes that Pedro forgives him; he couldn’t risk Pedro calling the police. He then hears Emilia arguing with Jass telling him that the money proves that he is into some shady business...and it’s worse than she thought! She demands that he tell her everything. Eddy approaches as he asks what Jass needs to tell her about. Jass tries to deny any wrongdoing but Emilia blurts that she saw him hiding the money by the stables. When Emilia shows Eddy the proof, Jass argues that at least he wasn’t unfaithful like she was! All he knows is that he wants the best for them. Emilia asks, “At what price!’ Eddy tells Emilia that they should go but Jass stops them...brandishing a gun he states no one will leave until he says so!

Eddy tells Jass that he cannot keep them there and Emilia pipes up, calling Jass a coward. Pedro is playing covert cop looking for Vera and arrives in the middle of all of this. When Jass threatens Nico and Vera, Pedro punches Jass and tells him to leave his family alone.

Laiza goes to see Pedro but only Vera is there. What is it Laiza Vera asks concerned. Laiza tells Vera that her father told her that many years ago, Olmo and a partner killed their third partner and that partner was Tomas...Pedro’s father. When Vera argues that Ramiro told her that Olmo had killed Tomas, Laiza tells her that Ramiro said that because that was the agreement he had with Fausto...in reality, it was both of them...Olmo and Fausto killed Tomas!

Although there were many details needing to be relayed I felt this installment limped along rather than exploding as I thought it might.

I don’t understand how after the judge heard Faby’s side of the story, he still gave Ivana full custody. How come the judge did not give visiting rights, maybe every other weekend, to Octavio? Is it possible the judge was bought by Ivana’s lawyers?
It also seemed preposterous that Octavio was asked to turn in his police plaque because he refused to give up his source of the jump drive.

Diana, no need to apologize for the length. The recap was outstanding. Thanks. Just like you, I was hoping for more action but we got just more of the same old same old. I couldn’t believe that Vera allowed herself to be accosted by Ivana (one more time) and her minions. She should have gotten in her car, locked the door and driven away at the sight of the first goon. So, Eddy did let the cat out of the bag about who killed Vera’s mother. That is the first sign that the end is in sight!!!!! 👁👁👁 I do have to say it did me good to see Pedro, who did leave his sonambulist state for a few seconds, punch Jass out. Maybe the writers will let him wake up completely before the end of this. Did I mention I am soooooo tired of Marina and her outbursts?

Fe, thank you so much. Your remarks on custody sharing should have happened. I might be wrong but I don't think the judge was bribed. I thought the judge was going to rule in Octavio's favor until the bulimia red flag was raised. Too bad Ivana managed to pull another trump card out of her sleeve.

Jarifa, I appreciate your kind words. Much credit goes to RgvChick... "sonambulist state" could not have been more perfect. So, while it's not exactly a raging fire, at least Pedro is experiencing some percolation :). I am very concerned about Eddy - will someone please tell Gonzo asap?? Also, I shudder as to how Emilia will take this.

Sadly, Pedro and Vera have been relegated to the periphery because there are so many better storylines and frankly, much more empathetic and sympathetic characters.

Sancar names Nare the new manager of Kahraman’s marina. He is smiling. Why was I not aware of this, Nare asks? Gediz says he didn't know either. Well now you know, Sancar replies. Kahraman states, I am the general manager. I will not allow a girl to be the general manager. Who am I talking to, he shouts? Gediz asks Sancar to step outside and he tells Nare to stay. Listen to me, alaca kuş, Kahraman says to Nare, you seem like a good person, but I will not let you and those men have this place. Nare sighs.

Gediz and Sancar are out on the terrace. Where the hell did that come from, Gediz asks? Well, we need a manager, Sancar replies. Gediz understands that Sancar did this because he doesn't want Nare working with him. So, you send her to another marina, he asks, and that’s why you chose to acquire Kahraman’s marina? Nare insisted on working at the marina so you bought a new one. You used the revenge of Muge as an excuse.

Sancar tells him that Muge's revenge is still happening. Kahraman has lost half of his shares and by next week he will lose everything. Does the rest matter, Sancar asks? Yes, the rest matters to me, Gediz responds and adds, I would have done the same thing in your place. I wouldn’t let anyone get close to her either. That gets Sancar’s attention.

Gediz continues, I have no commitments and you are married. Gediz taps Sancar with his finger, but I can be faithful because you betrayed her. Sancar grabs Gediz by the collar and shouts, shut up! Gediz grabs him back and yells, you shut up! Your wife is pregnant, you're going to be a father! Go with your family and leave Nare alone! So that she can be with you, Sancar asks? Yes, with me, Gediz replies, I will heal the wounds that you made. The two men raise their fists as Nare comes out onto the terrace.

What are you doing? Why are you fighting now, she asks them? Gediz turns to her and says, it’s for you. Nare is surprised and asks, what are you talking about? [I’m surprised that she’s surprised.] The men break apart. Gediz does not make a love declaration, but instead he tells her he thinks she should continue working at their marina, and Sancar wants her to be the general manager here.

Nare is frustrated with both of them. Neither of you will ask me what I think, will you, she asks? Do you think I'm incapable? Gediz says that’s nonsense. Then why are you discussing where I should work, she questions, did you ask my opinion? No, you didn’t. She adds, why should I be surprised—this is your usual behavior. Gediz asks if that's what she really thinks. Ok, then, Gediz says, why don’t we ask for opinions. Gediz looks Nare in the eyes and says, I want to know what Sancar thinks. Uh, oh. Nare is nervous.

Sancar looks puzzled. Nare tells Gediz that’s enough. Gediz drops the bomb, Sancar, what do you think of Nare moving to Switzerland? What the hell are you saying? It isn’t what I’m saying, Gediz tells him, it’s what Nare said. As soon as she gets custody, she plans to move to Switzerland. Sancar is stunned. Is it true, he asks? Nare admits it.

Sancar grabs Nare and pulls her, we have to talk. Nare shouts, I have nothing to talk to you about. He shouts, you are taking my daughter to Switzerland and there is nothing to talk about? Nare shouts again, did you talk to us before betraying us? Sancar grabs her again, but Gediz grabs him. Sancar warns him not to get involved in family affairs. He tells Nare, we will talk, and he leads her off the terrace.

Nare tries to break free from Sancar, let go of me! Sancar gives her a choice, he'll drag her in front of everyone or she will come willingly. Nare remains defiant, let me go, I'm not going. Sancar lifts her up to carry her. Nare shouts, put me down now! You're crazy!

Embajador #55 part 2

Now they are very close, face to face. He whispers, say it. Say "Sancar". Say it and I'll put you down. They have one of those moments where they gaze at each other… Nare finally says, I’ll go myself. Sancar puts her down. Okay, let's go, he sighs. [Another close call.]

They get into Sancar’s truck. Nare tells Sancar, we will go to Switzerland and you—Sancar interrupts her. Don’t say anything else until we get there. I’m very upset and I have to drive. Gediz watches them from up on the terrace. Is he’s regretting what he did?
Nare texts Zehra, "can you take Melek home? Tell Elvan I won't be late. "

Meanwhile, Elvan sitting before her mirror, getting ready for dinner and crying. Yahya enters the room, are you coming to dinner? Yes. Neither one of them are happy.

At the dinner table, Necdet looks at his reflection in a spoon and Halise looks disgusted. A short distance away, Menekse comments to her mother, did you notice Yahya is home? Yes, will you ask him about Nare? Atike is doubtful but Meanie is confident he will cooperate and then she can tell Melek about the baby. They sit down before anyone gets suspicious.

Elvan stops and takes a deep breath before she approaches the dinner table. Then with her usual charm she greets everyone, good evening! Halise greets her and so does Atike. Elvan tells Atike, nope, I am the one who welcomes you. She adds, when are your three days up? What three days, Atike asks? Well guests only stay three days, Elvan tells her. Smiles from Halise, Gulsiye and Ayse.

Necdet comments, you just came back and you’re kicking us out? Elvan admits, I'm a bit rude but no big deal. I’ll kick you out after three days, Elvan laughs. Meanie pipes up with a question, did Nare kick you out because you were already there for three days? Atike and Necdet take their turn to laugh.

Halise looks at Yahya and he says, it was me who begged her to come home, Menekse. He looks at Elvan and then at Halise, who nods in approval. Yahya tells Elvan, come sit with your husband. Elvan responds, yes, my love. She addresses Meanie, there are some things you have, others you do not. Menekse comes back with a quick counter, you are right, Elvan. There are things you have ... Meanie puts her hands on her belly... and others you don't. Elvan is devastated. Yahya is upset, too. He takes Elvan’s hand but she pulls it away.

Gediz brings Zehra and Melek to Nare’s house. No answer. Zehra calls Elvan, who is still at dinner, where are you? We are knocking on your door. Elvan tells her she’s at the mansion. Zehra is excited to hear Elvan is back and tells her she will come right away and bring Melek. Elvan happily shouts, you’re bringing Melek? Elvan says she will bake a cake for her. Halise is happy and Meanie is even happier.

Meanie asks, Melek is coming to the mansion? Yes, does it bother you, Elvan replies? Stupid Meanie happily tells her mother out loud, she’s coming here without me having to look. Elvan asks, why are you looking for her? Meanie plays it off that she is happy about the cake. Her baby has a craving for it. [It’s disgusting how Meanie constantly plays that baby card.]

Sancar and Nare go to the shack. [You know, that place where they always seem to end up.] Nare is surprised at the condition of the shack. She scans the wreckage. What happened here? Sancar tells her, when you vowed not to say my name, I was enraged. He adds, if you take my daughter, I’ll burn it.

Nare says, even if you destroy it, I’m leaving. Not if I get custody, Sancar tells her. Are you threatening me to stay? What would that solve? A desperate Sancar replies, we would see each other. I would hear your voice, even if you don't say my name. I would listen to you, even if you speak to me with hatred. Nare says, I won't say your name or look you in the face. She walks away, let's get out of here.

Sancar steps in front of her. She turns back, enters the shack and sits on a chair. Sancar follows her in and says, look at me, don’t do this. Do you think I'm going to wish you a good trip? I would like that, he tells her, so I wouldn’t carry you in my heart and go crazy when you see you. Far from me, you can live peacefully. I want to do it, but I realize I can't, damn it! I can’t live without you, he shouts.

Nare gets up to leave and says, you were good for nine years. He stops her from leaving. No, I wasn't, he tells her, I could not live without you. Who could love you like this, Nare? Who could you hate this much? Who could be angry like that? An 18-year-old girl who was thrown out from this place, Nare answers. Sancar admits she’s right and he will always be cursed for what he did. Nothing good came out of it come out of it, he says, that night, a boy died and you know it, Nare. The alaca kuş climbed the cliff. Efe and the bicolor bird, through that door ...

Flashback to them crying on opposite sides of the door on their wedding night.

Sancar continues, Efe, left his childhood there and he became bad. I became a cruel man. The more I suffered, the more darkness there was. I wanted everyone to live in hell just like me and I wanted to destroy everything. Nare, if you go now, I'll become an evil man. She tries to leave again. He won’t let her go.

Nare tells him, your wife is pregnant. I don't want to be by your side. Don't be by my side, Sancar tells her, I'm not saying that, I know it's impossible, I know I've lost you. I just don't want you to leave here. She tries to leave again and he stands in her way. You can't leave, he says, our destiny is to be together. This is love. It is a pact between us. Nare stops and says, this is neither love nor a pact. It is a curse. Sancar is taken aback and Nare brushes past him and out the door. We get a glimpse of little Nare and 18 year old Nare leaving the shack, too.

Sancar follows her and calls out, why did you rescue me from the cliff? When I saw how hurt you were, I told myself that I should jump. And after killing Akin, I was going to jump from there. Melek and you would live in a world without me, but you would be calm.
He catches up to her and steps in front. Why didn't you let me kill Akin? Tell me why you said Melek shouldn't live without her father. If you didn't want me to live without Melek and without you, why change your mind? Why did you save my life if you were going to walk away from me? Nare replies to that barrage of questions, I didn't do it, you did it. She brushes past him and continues walking.

Now I’ll do it, he calls after her. She stops and he continues, I’ll do whatever it takes to get custody in court tomorrow, I'll take Melek to the mansion. I'll be an evil man if you go, Nare. She says nothing then turns and keeps walking. He follows her, first in his truck and then walks behind her until she hails a taxi and drives off.

Menekse is pacing with excitement at the thought Melek will be there soon. Atike wishes her daughter would sit down and relax. The doorbell rings and Meanie takes off. Ha, ha, Meanie is disappointed. Only Zehra is at the door. She asks why Melek didn’t come.
Zehra has a flashback to outside of Nare’s: Zehra asks Gediz to them to the mansion. Nare can pick up Melek later. Gediz tells her he will have a driver take her (Zehra) to the mansion. He asks Melek, if she would like to go home with him and her mom can pick her up there. Gediz whispers to Zehra, Nare doesn't want to Melek to know about the baby.

Embajador #55 part 4

Zehra answers Meanie, she went to Gediz' house. Meanie is thwarted again and says, the kid stays elsewhere while her mother flirts with my husband. The conversation is interrupted by the reunion of Zehra and Elvan. Yahya shows up, too. Meanie plots her next move.

Nare arrives home to find a note in the door from Gediz: "Elvan returned to the mansion. I took Melek to my house. If it's late when you see this note, we’ll see you tomorrow. “ Nare is disappointed Elvan left. Nare texts Gediz "is Melek asleep?" Gediz is sitting on the bed next to Melek. He answers “yes, come tomorrow".

Muge brings milk, but Melek is already asleep. She asks her brother if he is ok. Why wouldn’t I be, he replies, the woman I love is fighting with my best friend and I am taking care of their daughter. He sighs.

Nare enters her house and finds a note from Elvan. She reads: "I'm leaving, dear friend. I’m not resentful of you, but still I’m leaving sad. I won't lie to you, one gets used to beautiful things quickly, so I got used to you. You know more people than me, you've been to more places, you know a lot of things.

We also see Elvan in bed with Zehra and in curlers and she’s crying. Nare’s wiping tears, too.

The letter continues, "maybe I have no education, so if I tell you a couple of things, will you listen? I know that love has hurt you a lot, but there are people that don't know anything about love. I was fine in a house where there was no love and you were fine without a home.” Yahya comes into the bedroom to see Elvan but she turns away from him. He leaves without a word.

“Heaven doesn't give us everything we need. It gives us less and puts us to the test. If we try to question that, it would be a sin."

"It bothered you not having a home, you had no roots. Your daughter and you were blown by the wind. I don't have roots either and I am also afraid of the wind. I returned to this house without love. You and I are very different, but deep down we are alike. I think anything that fate brings us, it will be fine, and we must hide behind our smiles. Smile for the life you have and be grateful, okay? It’s morning and Meanie is already trying to sneak around. She has to retreat when she sees Gulsiye coming upstairs. Gulsiye bursts into Zehra’s bedroom carrying a tray with coffee, time to wake up! Good morning! Good morning! Both Zehra and Elvan complain about the wake up call.

Gulsiye complains herself, she couldn’t sleep because Halise snores. Zehra knows her mother snores. Zehra says they can put a mattress on the floor and Gulsiye can stay with them. Gulsiye declines. Why should she sleep on the floor when the mother (Atike) of that witch (Meanie) sleeps comfortably in her room?

Elvan agrees Gulsiye must go back to her room. Yes. And Gulsiye shares her plan with them, she whispers—Loki. Who is Loki, Elvan asks. Gulsiye happily discloses, Loki is Menekse’s ex-boyfriend. Zehra and Elvan let out a gasp. Shhh…. Gulsiye says, I think that Loki should work here, because the witch (Meanie) would be very uncomfortable. Zehra is on board with making Meanie uncomfortable, but she wants to know how that will get Gulsiye’s room back.

Gulsiye shares that Loki is still in love with Menekse. Whoa. I asked him if he wanted a job at the mansion, he agreed, Gulsiye says, and we will have a reason to threaten that witch. Elvan and Zehra are liking this idea very much. They laugh and complement Gulsiye on her idea and enjoy their coffee.

Menekse sneaks into Yahya’s room and wakes him. What are you doing here? Menekse puts on a panicked act, something terrible happened, she tells him. Dudu is downstairs! Yahya repeats, Dudu? I thought she was coming for Gulsiye, Meanie says, but she asked for you. She told me "how can Yahya beg his wife to return? How can he ignore me like this? He can't just use me and throw me away. "

Meanie says, Yahya please, you have to do something before Elvan finds out. That girl is insane. Yahya who at first seemed skeptical now springs into action and runs to the door. He opens it, goes out and looks around. No one is there. Where is she?

Menekse stands in the doorway and calls out, Yahya, what's up? Did you take the bait? I'll wait for you downstairs so we can talk, she tells him.

Next, we see Nare leaving her house and Yahya has called her. I want to tell you something, he says, Elvan misses Melek a lot and she’s very sad. We see Meanie coaching him. Yahya has an idea. Can I get Melek to surprise Elvan? I missed my niece a lot, too.

Nare tells Yahya that Melek is at Gediz' house and she’s getting her right now. After that we have the custody hearing. If you want, you and Elvan can go see her. I'll let Muge know. I don't want my daughter to go to the mansion, she tells Yahya. Yahya tells her okay, that’s perfect, thanks.

He hangs up and angrily asks Meanie, are you happy? Is that what you wanted? Meanie replies, don't look at me that way. We are both protecting each other's secret. Or do you prefer I tell Elvan what I know about Dudu? Quick, she orders him, go find my stepdaughter.

And we are out.

TU AMOR. Anticipating your recap, JoelD! Meanwhile: Hector's exactly right about Leo--he is in league with the paparazzi. He certainly knows his brother. Patricia + Hector seems an unnecessary complication--oh well, the course of true love, etc. Now we know how Valentina got those jewels--she was tricked by the creepy Beba. I don't believe Valentina will turn evil--and neither does the ghost of her father. She is a good person, as both Claudio and the nun who heads the orphanage mention. I thought it was very sweet when the nun told Claudio how much she approves of his choice of Valentina. It was nice of Camila to give Nora modeling lessons--though she has fairly exalted ideas about what it means to be a model. Who knew there was a philosophy of modeling? I'm not sure Claudio should have warned Yolanda about his defending Valentina--maybe better to surprise her. I'm glad that Guillermo doesn't seem completely convinced that the girls are dead, and Nora is creepy again looking at Camila's scars--she seems to find them amusing.

Vera is such an idiot. What did she hope to accomplish by confronting Olmo with the video right in the middle of his grandson's "presentation?" Let's say it was a legitimate video and he really was the one who killed her mother. Why on earth would she give him a "heads up" that the police were about to get their hands on the evidence? Did she think he would sheepishly hang his head, hands in his pockets, kick at the ground and say, "Aw, shucks! You got me! Now I'm going to just peacefully let you go and wait here patiently to be arrested! After all, you came alone, no backup and I doubt anyone knows where you are. Not to mention the fact that I just tried to have you killed!"

Fe, I agree with Diana; I don't think the judge was bought out. That Octavio had no knowledge that Faby had regressed was a big factor...and that was because Emilia had been warning him about Faby throwing away her food.

Jarifa, "I do have to say it did me good to see Pedro, who did leave his sonambulist state for a few seconds, punch Jass out." It was really good to see Pedro finally DO something other than look dazed and confused. I question how smart that was, though, since Jass had a gun in his hand.

Jarifa, "sonambulist state" and Diana, "at least Pedro is experiencing some percolation" Now this is what I love about reading comments!! they trigger visuals which bring on the laughter :-)

Anon 4:17, "Vera is such an idiot" I second that! I agree that her place of choice to confront Olmo was totally inappropriate, but I think her motivation came from Octavio's remark that the video would not be enough; they would need something more convincing, such as a confession or the weapon.

The weather in the RGV has had me quite busy since last week. Severe thunderstorms have been passing through intermittently. Last week, there were many downed trees, including one that scraped my house; fortunately, only the gutter was damaged. Today we had a bit over 4.5 inches of rain along with strong winds, thunder, and lighting. My animalitos are traumatized!! Reading the recaps and the comments is my refuge and my relaxation :-)

TU AMOR. Hi, Jarifa! I agree about the episode. It seems that Yolanda is doing to Valentina what she previously did to Helena and may end up with another highly talented rival. What is that woman thinking? It seems to me that at this point in her life, it would be better if Valentina found a nice pair of adoptive parents for the baby, instead of trying to adopt her herself.

Up here, violent storms with massive rainfall have become common place in the last decade or so. Hard to get used to that to kind of weather. Be careful.

Sorry this is posted so late.

Yolanda fires Valentina in an especially cruel manner. She orders everyone to stay and see the whole spectacle. She accuses Valentina of industrial espionage and backs up her claims with photos taken by the secret photographer. In one particularly damning picture, she appears with Helena Vargas. Valentina is accused of stealing the buttons and we discover how they got in the back pocket of Val's tight pants. Beba took her to a prop room and tricked her into taking them for one of her designs. Beba cleverly turned her back while Val grabbed the buttons which was recorded by the security cameras. Since there is no audio, Val has no proof that Beba told her to take them. Yolanda says she has enough proof to send Val to jail.

Ricardo has remembered his own name but an internet search finds over 7000 men named Ricardo Manrique. Armando Manrique shows up almost 11,000 times. Ricardo wants the doctora to hypnotize him again right away but she believes he needs time to process his memories and promises to try again later that day. When he's under, he remembers the accident, helping a girl (Camila), and another explosion. He was picked up on a highway by an elderly couple and transported to the hospital. When Dr Rosamaria brings him out of his trance he's very worked up. He remembers everything. He needs to go to his ranch and look for his sister and for Valentina. He wants to know what happened with them.

Hector and Helena have a conversation about their status. Helena is worried that Mina won't accept her as his novia but Hector is more optimistic. A message from Patricia shows up on Hector's phone unnoticed. He tries to warn her about Leonardo but they'll have to talk later bacause everything is crazy with the upcoming show.

Guillermo tells Patricia that he's been thinking about searching for the girls at the border. Pat agrees but tells him that she has to go along with him. Without any photos, he has no other way to identify them. He also wants to talk to her about her father's business but that will have to wait. She needs a few days to take care of some things at the ranch but while she's there she'll check again for any pictures that could be there. Enrique has set up a foundation for the future inheritance of Guillermo's daughter. It's called "Por tu sonrisa" and will be used to help orphans.
 

TU AMOR ep 16 part 2

Consuelo goes to Leonardo's jail cell again to ask him to let Claudio get him out. Leo agrees to see Claudio tomorrow but returns Connie's concern with rudeness. He doesn't want her to see Claudio in person because he's embarrassed by the way she's dressed and tells her to call instead of going by his office. He also complains that the food that she brought him needs salt. It went quite differently later when Hector grabbed him through the bars and accused him of working with the paparazzi. Leonardo returned fire with insults about Hector's intelligence and way of speaking. Hector tells Leo that if he wants Helena, he'll have to kill him first. Leonardo thinks about it like it might be a good idea.

Valentina has had it with Yolanda and will leave as soon as she gets her designs back. Not happening. She cashed the check and now the designs are Yolandas. If Valentina just leaves, nothing will happen, but if she insists that the designs are hers Yolanda will publish the theft video and espionage photos and she will never work in the world of fashion again. Spunky Val tells Yolanda she should call her show Swindle not Dignity and with one look makes the big security guy back out of her way. Outside the Studio Beba tells her there wasn't room for the two of them. Go get a lawyer. We both know that you don't know any. She comes back with Claudio who essentially dares Yolanda to call the cops on Valentina. The last thing she needs is a scandel right before fashion week. But Val isn't alone and we know what you did. She tells him that he's the first man that ever stuck up for her like that. Unlike Ricardo who tried to drown her.

Valentina misses her father so much. She confides to his memory that being nice hasn't gotten her anywhere and she's going to change. He tells her that no matter what she does or tries to do she will always be good and he will always love her with his whole heart. She and Claudio arrive at the orphange just as a mother has dropped off her baby. Val wants to hold it and she is very comfortable and motherly. The mother superior can see how good of a person she is by her look and her smile. When Claudio meets up with her again she has fallen in love with the child. It's a girl. Her name is Fatima. She's all alone in the world and someone needs to adopt her.

To answser your questions Susanlynn: I was coordinating and teaching in a post-secondary continuing ed program for people with developmental disabilities. My subjects were Computer Literacy and don’t laugh—Creative Writing. Unfortunately, my school decided to discontinue the program. A terrible shame. Now I’m just on the administrative side. We get busy, too, and we don’t get breaks between semesters.

My Spanish is ok, I get by. I’m learning Turkish and I still don’t know much. It’s a challenge for my old brain!

I'm going to recap this tomorrow and unfortunately I'll be posting late again. I'll try to have it done around supper time. I just can't get it out of my head how the writers are onto a whole baby Fatima plot line right now. Claudio and Val go to a baby store to buy something for her, OK. But then Valentina obsesses over her to Consuelo, Horacio, and the rest of the family. There's a flashback of Horacio holding baby Claudio. She just lost her job and now she wants to adopt a little baby? I found myself rolling my eyes right along with Nora. Claudio's solution to all this is to propose marriage to Valentina. When Val read the letter that the mother left with her baby, it was obvious that she loved her little one. She asked to be forgiven some day. Why not try to find her and help her get back on her feet? Geez. It's about time for Ricardo to show up too.

Previously--Laiza tells Vera that she is looking for Pedro; she found something out and she needs ot tell Pedro…and Vera should also needs to know. Laiza recounts how Ramiro told her that many years ago, Olmo and his partner killed Tomas who was the third partner. When Vere relates that Ramiro had said that it was only Olmo who killed Tomas, Laiza explains that it was a lie; Ramiro what he had agreed with Fausto to say; in reality, it was both Olmo and Fausto who killed Tomas.

The Now—Vera’s few brain cells struggle to process this information—she can’t believe that Fausto is a murderer; she thinks Ramiro might be lying since he already lied before. Laiza tells Vera about the letter Ramiro wrote to her and how she went personally to ask him to explain; that was when Ramiro told her about the murder. With the way Ramiro looked at her as he told her, Laiza knows that he was telling her the truth. Laiza understands Vera’s disbelief since she too could not believe that her father is a criminal too. Vera thinks that it is best to know the truth; although it is difficult to accept the truth about her father, After Laiza remarks that Pedro also needs to know, Vera remembers that Nico is with Fausto and quickly leaves.

Lola finds Regina who quickly gets into her car and thanks Lola for going for her. Regina then asks Lola no to tell her father about this since she had lied and told him that she was going to a party with friends. After Lola guesses correctly that Regina was really with a guy, Regina admits that she was with Samuel, a friend from high school.

Ivana tells Faby that she thought she would stay longer at the baby’s announcement party; she brought Faby a chocolate cupcake. Faby retorts that she wants nothing from her! Faby wants Ivana to let her go out and wonder how long she will keep her prisoner! Ivana how Faby got brainwashed so quickly by Octavio since he just told her the same thing, Faby is surprised that Octavio came to see her and asks why Ivan didn’t allow him to see her. Ivana insists that she is only trying to protect and this is where Faby belongs. Faby argues that she does not belong in Ivana’s world and she does NOT want to end up doing what Ivana is doing! If she stays there, Ivana will want her to be like her and that will never happen! Ivana reminds her that she is a Casares and she should be proud of it whether she likes it or not!

Regina confides im Lola that Samuel had invited her for coffee and they kissed. When Samuel wanted more, Regina refused and got out of the car…and Samuel left her there. After Lola assures Regina that she did the right thing, Regina gives her a sincere thanks.

At the hotel suited, Faby clenches her teeth as she tells Ivana that the Casares blood does not run through her veins…and Ivana is merely Olmo’s lover! When Ivana raises her hand to slap her, Faby hopes that she goes ahead and slaps her since that is al she needs to prove to the judge that she should not be with Ivana. Ivana reiterates that everything she does is for Faby, so that she will be well and not have to live a mediocre life lime the one Octavio is living. When Faby yells, “Let me go out, you can’t do this to me!” Ivana retorts, “Oh but you can tell ne those horrible things and hurt me the way you are hurting me! Well with that same strength that you judge me, I will use the same strength to get you back and I will not let you go…because I love you because you are my daughter!” …and if Faby wants a damned chocolate cake, she should get it herself!

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 71: Sins of the Fathers Part 2

Jass recovers from Pedro’s beating and picks up his pistol, Vera runs in asking for Nico and Fausto; so Jass tells her that they just went out to the stables. Meanwhile, Nico is telling Fausto and Alicia what he will name his horse. When he asks for his mother, Fausto calls Vera but she does not answer.

Vera runs out of the house shouting for Nico. In her haste, she missteps and falls hurting her ankle. Pedro comes to her rescue, so she tells him that she cannot find Nico. Pedro takes her away telling her that they need to hide…but they will find Nico.

Marina is watching a sleeping Olmito when Gaston walks in quietly. After Marina wonders if she will be a good mother, she remarks that Gaston is now a father and Olmo’s heir. Gaston is not sure he wants to take that place…because it is a throne full of blood, When Marina asks what he means, Gaston asks her if she knows how their patrimony was built. Marina thinks it was the with the business and all the clients, but Gaston tells her that it was through money laundering….all that they have was bought through the family’s shady businesses.

Fausto and Alicia are still laughing with Nico when Jass asks to speak to Fausto alone.

Eddy and Emilia show up at Octavio’s apartment wondering is he can take them in.

When Jass tells Fausto that Pedro is there and he punched him, Fausto thinks that something must be happening. They have to find Vera and Pedro now!

Pedro and Vera go to her studio to hide. Vera explains that she was looking for Nico because Jass told her that he was with Fausto; and Ver cannot allow Nico to spend one more second with Fausto…because Fausto is a murderer. Vere then tells her about Laiza coming to Pedro’s apartment and all the Laiza revealed. Vera apologizes for not wanting to believe and thinking that Fausto was innocent. She now realizes that Fausto was just manipulating her and keeping the truth from her so she wouldn’t find out that the also killed Tomas. Pedro already suspected it and proceeds to tell Vera that there is something else—Fausto also killed her mother! Vera shakes her head in disbelief.

Fausto orders Jass to find Pedro and bring Pedro to him!

Vera asks Pedro how he knows that Fausto killed her mother, so he explains that Eddy was a witness wo saw how Fausto killed her mother! Vera asks way Eddy told Pedro and not her; so Pedro explains about the photos that show eddy near the murder site. When Vera brings up the kid whom Olmo had sent to the prison for the murder, Pedro assures her that Olmo only did it to close the case and to woo her. He knows because he also had a hard time understanding that Olmo had his father killed. They give each other a comforting hug.

At the hotel, Olmo is getting drunk and Ivana voices her disapproval. When he comments about her conversation with Octavio, she wonders if he is jealous. Of course he isn’t’ he just doesn’t like to watch those little acts. Ivana assures him that though Octavio was very important to her many years ago, now he is nothing…he is the man ho wants to take her daughter. She reminds Olmo that he was the one who made them part…and he did her a big favor. After Olmo remarks that Octavio was dangerous then and is still dangerous Ivana agrees and adds that is why they have to face him together.

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 71: Sins of the Fathers Part 3

Vera tells Pedro that Nico is with Fausto and Alicia but they should be back soon. She wants to go for Nico, but Pedro insists that he will go with her to get Nico. Vera points out that if Fausto see them together and figures out that they will run, he will not allow it...and she will not allow her son to be with that criminal (but she was willing to have her son live with Olmo who she thought killed her mother!). Just then Jass comes out pointing his gun at them as he asks, “Criminal? Why do you talk about your father like that, Vera?”

Back at the hotel, Ivana wants Olmo to show her the man she has always known…because they still have much to do. Big sigh from Olmo and he agrees—with Rodrigo’s help, they will use all their artillery against El Chamaco and Fausto!

Vera tells Jass to try to understand; she and Pedro just wanted to see each other. Jass doesn’t buy it since Pedro entered secretly and with strikes. When Pedro explains that he was just defending Emilia and Eddy…since Emilia and eddy were scared, Jass demands that Pedro leave his family alone. Pedro catches Jass by surprise and gives him a quick jab, knocking the gun out of his hand! A fight ensues and Pedro manages to pull down Jass to the floor and squeezes his neck until Jass passes out!

Vera calmly enters the living room where Fausto is reading a story to Nico. As Vera takes Nico for a bath, Fausto asks if all is well…he heard that Pedro was there. When Nico asks for his father, Vera tells him that Pedro had to leave. Once they leave the room, Vera tells Nico that they ill play a game…whoever talks, loses. Meanwhile, Fausto calls Jass who is bound and gagged. Apparently, Pedro needs lessons on tying a person’s hands, because Jass manages to release himself,

As Vera and Nico run out, Jass tells Fausto that Pedro is waiting for Vera outside. Fausto curses at him.

Vera continues to run out and tells the guard that Jass is calling him. As they get close to the gate, Fausto yells, “Stop her!” and he takes several shots!! But Vera and Nico get to Pedro’s car and they take off!

Emilia and Eddy are now with Octavio. Emilia tells Octavio that Jass got a bit violent, but Eddy adds that Jass pointed a gun at them and threatened them. Octavio is glad they came to him. They discuss sleeping arrangements.

At Pedro’s apartment, Pedro tells Vera that he has waiting a long time for this moment. They discuss Vera’s escape. She tells him that she as only thinking of him and Nico.

Fausto yells at Jass as he rakes him over the coals for letting Pedro and Vera escape…and his wife and son left him! Alicia listens from the other room. When Jass argues and asks why he doesn’t reprimand the security guards, Fausto tells him not to tell him what to do! Alicia also hears Fausto snarl that because of Jass’s stupidity, everything he has done is coming apart…his little minion, Agus, was caught! Fausto will not allow Jass to put him at risk!

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 71: Sins of the Fathers Part 4

At Pedro’s apartment, Vera worries that they not only have Olmo after them, they also have Fausto. Pedro suggests that they will have to hide and pressure Eddy to declare against Fausto. Vera then remarks that both of them have been their fathers’ puppets.

Fausto orders Jass to organize his team however he wants, but he’d better find them! When Alicia approaches asking if all is well, Fausto apologizes and explains that sometimes he needs to speak harshly to the men. Alicia comments that it seemed like he was giving orders to soldiers. Fausto then deflects and suggests that some good news are needed—he suggests that they start planning their wedding! Alicia argues that good news don’t strike out the bad things; she has a right to know what is happening since she also lives in that house (careful, Alicia!) When Fausto explains that in that house, there are rules and there is a hierarchy, Alicia is not happy that he is the boss and everyone else has to be quiet. Fausto tells her that she will come to understand.

Jass and his minions enter Pedro’s apartment, but too late! It’s empty! He calls Fausto who yells, “Find him, *&%*$!

Gaston is playing good father and wonders if he is setting up his baby…he is going to give him a life a luxury…but he will be a criminal al his life. He then assures the baby he ill not! Melida approaches wondering why Gaston took the baby out of his crib. Gaston replies that he couldn’t sleep. Just then, Olmo gets a call from Olmo who tells him to get ready; they have a meeting with Ortega. Olmo also asks Gaston if Delia has a problem with him, but Gaston knows nothing about it.

Emilia demands that Eddy tell her what he knows about his grandfather. Octavio thinks he knows what it could be and asks Eddy if it is what he told Faby. Octavio gets on high alert when they hear knocking on the door, but it’s only Vera and Pedro who have Nico and Bingo with them. Vera confronts Eddy; she wants to hear it from him! Emilia again asks Eddy what is happening...he needs to talk now because she is getting scared!

Bernardo calmly talks to Lola; he is very grateful. Regina is going through a difficult stage and she needs much patience. He then has Regina apologize for being so uncool. As they hug, they are interrupted by Jass who asks where Vera is. Lola tells him she doesn’t know.

At Octavio’s apartment, Eddy confirms that he did see how Fausto killed Antonia. Vera sheds her crocodile tears.

The Casares trio and Ortega meet. When Ortega states that if they are to “take care of” the unmentionable one, they will need to join forces, Ivana informs him that the unmentionable one will be leaving for the USA by helicopter the next day and they need to take advantage of that. When Gaston leaves to answer Melida’s call, Ortega asks if he knows they will be eliminating El Chamaco. Ivana replies that Gaston is not prepared for that yet.

Eddy continues to recount what he saw. He heard how Antonia asked Fausto to leave her alone. She tried to get a phone, but Fausto stopped her and told her that Vera would come to him on her own…and Antonia was going to help him. After Antonia refused, Fausto shot her. Eddy cries that he should have spoken up earlier but he was scared…and now he is Fausto’s accomplice . Vera assures him that she understands because Fausto is a dangerous man. Emilia cries as she comforts him and tells him that all will be well.

Alicia shows up at Teo’s; she wants to talk. As they hug, Gonzo smiles.

Emilia insists that they need to go to the cops, but Eddy tell her that Fausto has them bought out. When Emilia turns to Octavio who is a cop, he tells them that he has been suspended. Vera suggests that they talk to Gonzo. And Eddy agrees to talk give a statement. After Vera gets a message from Lola telling her that Jass is looking for her, Octavio knows they need to act now!

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 71: Sins of the Fathers Part 5

Ivana and Olmo explain to Ortega that Gaston is just no beginning to see the other side of the business. Ortega worries about making a mistake; if they fail in killing El Chamaco, not even Olmo’s grandson will survive. Ivana assures him they won’t fail. Olmo remarks that Ortega needs to start being a part of the business; so Ortega agrees…in one day, El Chamaco will be dead and buried!

At Teo’s apartment, Alicia has apparently confided in Teo that she regrets pushing him away because of Fausto…she should have listened to Teo. Teo, Gonzo and Alicia are having drinks when Pedro rings and Gonzo tells him to come on up.

Vera goes to the cemetery to talk to her mother. She already knows that it was Fausto who killed her. Antonia had always warned her, but she never believed it. She asks for forgiveness.

Pedro joins Teo and Alicia. When Alicia thanks him for going to the mansion and opening her eyes as to who Fausto really is, Pedro declares that Fausto is a murderer. He then shares that he has a witness…aside from killing his father, he killed Vera’s mother. When Teo insists that Alicia needs to get out of that house ASAP, Gonzo suggests that Alicia should remain at the mansion…she can be their eyes and ears. Teo argues that would be putting Alicia at risk, but Alicia counters that is her second name! She il be the one to decide to stay at Fausto’s and she can be very useful. Just then Pedro gets a call from Marina.

Olm and Ivana celebrate that they will be rid of El Chamaco.

Ver continues her conversation with Antonia. She hopes that wherever Antonia is she will forgive her because Vera will never forgive herself.

Pedro whizzes over to Marina’s where she cries that Gaston told her some horrible things about her father’s business. She thinks Gaston could be making it up. After she recounts what Gaston told her, Pedro confirms that Olmo has indeed been laundering money with the hotels for many years.

Faby manages to escape from her room and calls Octavio to tell him that her mother has her locked up.

Marina insists that Pedro tell her the truth about her father. Pedro sits and calmly tells her that in order to continue with that business, Olmo had to get rid of certain persons…Olmo is a murderer! He, together with another criminal just like him, killed his real father, Tomas!

Octavio has his phone on speaker. Eddy tells her that he is going to declare what he saw, but before he does that, he wants to see her…they need to get her out of there! Faby knew that Eddy would be her salvation. When Faby sees that the guards are not watching, she takes off! But they see her and they give chase. Faby gets to the stairs and starts to run down. Octavio who is still listening on his phone, hears the commotion and yells out to her…but she trips and falls and she is unconscious!! (Oh noes!!)

FIN!

Bravo! Vera twists her ankle running in heels. First time I have ever seen that in all of the women who run around in heels in novelas. I have always thought they would suffer that event much more often.

Yay! Pedro had another flash if life and punched out Jass again. He even tied him up and taped his mouth shut! Jass got free far too quickly. Yes “Pedro needs a lesson on tying hands” LOL

Uh oh! Alicia finds out she is not at the top of the pecking order at Fausto’s place. Not a good realization. At least she could admit her mistake.

Funny. Gastón has to name “ he who has no name.” Duh!

Here is hoping Eddie makes it out of this alive.

At least Eddy has released his greatest burden. Smart of Emilia to seek refuge at Octavio’s. And begrudging credit to Pedro and Vera for leaving his apartment. That said, I’m deducting points for them even going there in the first place!

I agree about Eddie but still worry about him. Here is hoping that Gonzo can keep him safe when Fausto finds out that he “ratted him out”. That is how Fausto will see it if he finds out.

No, our heroine was not too smart making a beeline for her mother’s grave. I think that Vera and Pedro could possibly tie with another leading couple Mariana (Alejandra Barros) and Ignacio (Jorge Salinas) of “Mariana de la noche” for the title of “Most Clueless Couple.” Mariana and Ignacio also were very hard to watch due to poorly written characters and dialogue.

Jarifa, you're absolutely right that Fausto will be livid when he finds out. Still, I have to believe Eddy will survive - alive and well! It isn't a spoiler to say it's unlikely Jacinto will make it out alive and I can't see Emilia being left without her child as well. I'm usually wrong but am hoping this breaks my losing streak :)

I never saw Mariana and at this point, glad I didn't! I have to remember to try and at least mention Pedro and Vera in my recaps as their storylines are among the least compelling here.

I think there’s hope for Gaston. The one positive thing about Olmo is that he did not involve his children in his criminal activities. Marina, Gaston and even Pedro just recently became aware of the money laundering and the murder of Tomas, Pedro’s father.

 

TU AMOR. Just a couple of comments while awaiting JoelD's recap. It's disgusting the way Patricia keeps flirting with Hector and trying to undermine Helena. And I see that Dra. Rosamaria has figured out that Ricardo was a survivor of that particular plane crash--can't be that many of them (crashes, that is). We also see That Patricia is lying when she tells Adelaida that she promised Alfonso that she would look after Adelaida and Guillermo. She seems to have said more or less the opposite. Leonardo is scheming again in his very slimy way. But who is on the other end of the phone? Beba? Probably not Majo, who does seem to be loyal to Helena. I wonder if Valentina's attraction to Fatima is a clue that she was abandoned as an infant.

Nare leaves her house and finds Kavruk outside. He tells her, I was worried about you, I made you take that oath. She gets snippy with him. I’m worried about you too, Kavruk, she says as she walks to her car, you were in love with Zehra and now you are marrying Ayse. Poor Kavruk looks so sad. Nare immediately regrets and comes back to him with an apology. She’s sorry, she’s tense, the custody trial is today. Melek’s dad says he will take her to the mansion. Forgive me.

Kavruk begins: alaca kuş, think of a mountain where it hasn't rained for nine years. It’s rocky and craves even the dew. Then the rain comes, and the ground receives all that joy. But later they say: "from now on, it won't rain anymore. You still have the taste and yet it won't rain anymore.” No mountain would bear that kind of fear. The alaca kuş would pierce the sky for it to rain. Nare listens and leaves without a word. Kavruk sighs.

Breakfast at the Isikli’s. Melek is picking at her dish. Gediz tells Melek, 50 lira for what you’re thinking. Melek quickly answers—100. Refika and Muge laugh. Gediz says, 100? You really are a good business person. Melek replies are you giving it to me or not? Gediz forks over the money and waits. Melek says, I'm thinking about how I can get my parents married. An unhappy Gediz snatches the bill out of Melek’s hand. I won't give you money for those thoughts, he tells her. [ I wonder why]

Refika scolds her son, give the girl her money. He won’t. Melek asks him why. Gediz replies he doesn't believe in marriage. Muge grabs the money from Gediz and gives it back to Melek. Then she asks Melek, why do you want your parents get married? Because I want to have a brother but first, my parents have to get married. Muge nods and looks at her unhappy brother.

The Isikli’s doorbell rings. It’s Nare. The maid says they are in the garden having breakfast.

Cut back to Melek trying to make a deal with Gediz-- if you help me get them married, I will give your money back. Gediz won’t help. Melek says she will double it. Double, Gediz replies, hmmm… Nare walks in and greets everyone. Muge invites Nare to sit. She can’t, she has a meeting.

Nare kisses her daughter and asks her, why did you double an amount to Gediz? She smiles, it's nothing, it's a secret. Did you come to pick me up, she asks her mom. Nare explains that she has meetings now, but she will come back later and they will go to court together. The court will decide who will get custody. Nare asks if Melek can stay and Refika says it’s fine.

Nare tells everyone that Elvan and Yahya will be coming to visit Melek. Muge asks if they are back together. Tell us, Gediz asks Nare, are they together again or did Elvan return to the mansion for another reason? Nare avoids answering by reminding Gediz the meeting will start in 30 minutes. Are you coming? Nare tells them she will be back in a couple of hours. Gediz follows her out.

Outside Gediz asks Nare, what happened? You’re going to the meeting? You haven’t quit? She replies, I can't present myself at trial as an unemployed mother, right? Thanks to you, she tells him, your friend said he would do his best to get custody of my daughter. Gediz says he did Nare a favor. Of course, Nare doesn’t see it that way. A friend respects the other friend's decisions, she says, even if he disapproves of them and he would not betray.

I would never betray you, Gediz says. Really, she asks, then why is your friend trying so hard to keep my daughter? Gediz answers, could it be because you are trying to escape? I don't want you to leave with your hands tied, he tells her. You'll have to try harder, Gediz, Nare firmly says, tell your friend that when my father had custody of my daughter, I took her from him and now I will do the same. You won't be able to stop me even if you chain me. She leaves.

Embajador #56 part 2

We see Yahya waiting in his car outside the Isikli’s. He sees Nare and Gediz leave, and he drives in. Yahya rings the bell and Muge answers. Did Nare tell you I would come for Melek? Yes, but she said you and Elvan would come to see her here. Yahya tells her he wants to surprise Elvan. I’ll take her and bring her back in a couple of hours. I guess Muge didn’t fully read the memo because she calls Melek over. Yayha bends down and asks Melek, do you want to surprise your Aunt Elvan? Melek nods yes.

Kahraman’s marina: Nare, Gediz and Sancar are waiting for Kahraman out on the terrace but keeping their distance from each other. Kahraman arrives and immediately picks up on the sour vibe. What happened, he asks, didn't you solve your problems? Kahraman takes up where they left off yesterday, I told the lady I am the general manager. The lady will withdraw. Nare tells Kahraman not to worry, she will be leaving in a couple of days.

Sancar goes to sit by Nare and tells her, then you're going to go alone. Nare responds, I spoke with my lawyer. Your wife is pregnant, it will be difficult for you to get custody of Melek. Sancar counters, I also spoke with my lawyer. You gave birth in a psychiatric hospital and it will be difficult for you.

Nare asks, is this what you will do? Not a good idea to attack to a tiger, Sancar tells her, I warned you ambassador’s daughter. If you go, I will become a cruel man. Gediz reminds them there is a pending meeting.

Sancar wipes away a tear. His phone rings, it’s Hasan. The doctor finished with Akin, he will never be able to use his hand again. Akin screams in the background, Sancar, do you hear me? All of you will pay for this! You're going to pay! Sancar says Akin should give thanks that it wasn’t worse. Hasan says Akin is ready for prison. Sancar is going to send Kavruk.

Sancar sits at the meeting table. Gediz asks if the call was about Akin. Sancar signals yes. Sancar calls Kavruk and tells him Akin is fine, take care of him. Kavruk acknowledges. Nare shoots a nervous look at Sancar. Kahraman asks, who is this Akin? Why are you taking care of him? None of your business, Sancar replies. Kahraman says, this is my business, so I care. He pushes for an explanation. Gediz tells him, let's say he’s a person you won't be happy to know.

We get a flashback to another night. Kahraman enters the mill, sneaking past the sleeping guards. Akin asks, what’s going on? Kahraman shushes him and quickly gets to the point. I am a friend of Guven Celebi. He told me that you have a lot of money and I need a lot, understand? Akin looks at the 100 million figure on the wall and smiles, what a coincidence, I have a lot of money.

Kahraman asks for 10 million. Akin says fine. Kahraman tells Akin he will get him out of there and then he can give him the money. Akin places a condition. I’ll give 5 million, but if you kidnap Nare, I'll give you the 10. Kahraman strongly objects, what the hell are you saying? I’m not a criminal! I will not kidnap anyone! I never said that, Akin replies and he repeats, 5 million, and if you kidnap Nare, I'm going to give you 10. We don’t hear if a deal was made.

Back to the meeting. Kahraman makes a proposal. Forget about the increase of capital. I will continue to be the manager. We will be friends, and I will take care of our interests. Sadiclar is not taking that deal. Gediz hands over the papers with the amount Kahraman must pay for the capital increase. Kahraman exclaims, I have to pay 10 million? Sancar says, if you can't pay, sell us your shares.

Embajador #56 part 3

Kahraman calls them thieves. Sancar gives him one week and if he doesn't comply, they will get the shares. Kahraman warns this could end very badly. Sancar looks at Nare and asks Gediz to take over. They have to leave for the custody hearing. On the way out, Nare tells Kahraman, she hopes he gets the money and she wishes him good luck. Kahraman looks conflicted. Maybe he made deal with Akin? He needs the 10 million.

Outside the marina Sancar desperately tries again to get Nare to change her mind. If you want revenge, he says, do it. I deserve it. I will not say a word. Take revenge, but don't leave me, Nare. She won’t even look at him. Just the fact of seeing you and not being able to hug you hurts too much, he tells her, there is no weapon stronger than your presence. Don’t make me lose you [I think he means both Nare and Melek]. She looks at him. Swear you won't go, and I won't say anything in court, I promise. He begs her, don’t ruin everything. Nare answers, Melek is at Gediz’ house. I'm going to get her, see you in court.

Yahya is driving Melek to the mansion.

The ladies of the mansion are working in the kitchen. Gulsiye starts to put her plan into effect—Nedim's back hurts and we shouldn’t tire him, she tells Halise, maybe we should hire another person. Halise asks if Gulsiye is proposing they retire that poor man. Besides, who would we hire? Menekse comes down stairs and listens by the kitchen door.

Elvan nods to Gulsiye. She tells Halise she has a person in mind. Who? Meanie gets a text from Yahya. She runs from the door and doesn’t hear Gulsiye mention Loki. Halise doesn’t look too thrilled about it but says okay.

Meanie reads the text: we are at the door.

Melek asks if Elvan really missed her. Yes, and me too, Yahya answers. Meanie comes out of the gate. Melek hides behind Yahya. Meanie approaches her, I left, but then your dad came looking for me. He said, "Menekse, since you are expecting my child, you have to be with me. I don't want my baby to grow up away from me."

Poor Melek is horrified, are you pregnant, she asks? Meanie confirms, that's right. If you want, go tell your mother the news. Maybe she will be glad you will have a brother. After the damage is done, Yahya finally tells Meanie to shut up.

Don't shut me up, Meanie warns, mother and daughter are trying to keep my husband. They need to know he belongs to me. Melek gasps and begins to shake. This doesn’t stop Meanie. Sancar is the father of my baby, she says to Melek, he is not your father. Enough, Yahya shouts.

They realize that Melek is having one of those episodes where she shuts down. They try to snap her out of it with no luck. Yahya runs off to get Elvan. [why does this dope leave her with Meanie?] Meanie begins to panic, you’re just pretending, precious? Meanie spots Kavruk coming and runs off, leaving poor Melek by herself.

Yahya bursts into the mansion, Elvan, where are you? Elvan! Everyone comes running. It’s Melek, she’s frozen and shaking and can’t speak! Halise remembers this happened before in the hamam.

Menekse enters pretending to be in pain. This doesn’t work on Elvan. She angrily gets in Meanie’s face, what did you do to her? I didn't do anything, Meanie answers, I thought she knew about the baby. Elvan vows, I’ll take care of you later, you witch, you will regret this. Halise adds a damn you and they run out of the mansion, leaving the faker and her mother behind.

When they leave the gate, Melek is nowhere to be found. They start searching and calling for her. We see Kavruk’s car driving away and then we see Melek is sobbing in the trunk. Kavruk has no idea she is there.

Embajador #56 part 4

Kahraman is still trying to negotiate with Gediz. Forget the capital increase and give back my manager position. Otherwise, you will regret it, he says. We’ll see about that, Gediz replies and leaves. Kahraman’s back is against the wall. What’s he gonna do?

Kahraman leaves the building. Kahraman had men on stakeout at the mill. He’s on the phone and asks, where are they? They are leaving the mill now, his man says. Kahraman gives the order to intercept the car. I'm going to get Akin out of there, he tells his man.

Akin is put in Kavruk’s car and buckled in. Melek is still hiding in the trunk.

Sancar and Nare arrive at Gediz’ house and stand outside the door. We are going to tell Melek we are going to the custody hearing, she says to Sancar, she will only see the psychologist and that will be it. And you won’t mention that your wife is pregnant. Sancar agrees. Nare rings and Muge answers. She’s surprised to see them. She tells them Yahya came for Melek and took her to the mansion. You didn’t know? uh, oh. Nare worries, Melek must not find out like this. Both parents take off.

Kavruk spots a car blocking the road ahead and is immediately suspicious. He asks Akin, did you plan something? Do you think you'll get away with this? Kavruk speeds up. Akin cautions him to slow down and stop. Kavruk makes a move around the car and speeds off, tires screeching. Akin shouts, you're a psycho [pot, kettle, black], do you want to kill us or what? Kavruk answers, your end will be the grave or prison. Akin yells, watch out! A van comes around the curve and is headed straight for Kavruk’s car. Looks like Kavruk loses control and the car tumbles down the hillside.

Kahraman orders his men to get Akin, fast! Akin is banged up, barely conscious in the back seat. The men bring him out and up the hill. Quick, quick, Kahraman presses. They load Akin into the van and speed off. [I swear Akin is the embodiment of “hierba mala nunca muere”. Within days, he’s been deprived of food and water by Muge, had Gediz beat the crap out of him, Sancar crushed his hand and now he’s been in a terrible car accident. If he had a soul, I might feel sorry for him.]

Melek climbs out of the trunk and looks for Kavruk. She finds him on the ground but can’t wake him. She sits beside him and cries.

Kahraman is pissed that the rescue didn’t come off as planned. Akin asks if Kavruk is dead. Kahraman yells, don't speak now! Shut up, damn it! Akin tells him, we have to talk. You completed the first stage, but now it's Nare's turn. If you take us abroad, I will pay you. Kahraman is steamed, I told you, I'm not kidnapping any woman. I am not a criminal! Akin replies, are you really not? Kahraman tells him again to shut up.

Kahraman thinks back to Nare at the meeting and the sympathy she had for Kahraman: “your late wife was lucky because she could experience that love. I'm sure that you will meet again in the afterlife.” Maybe Kahraman is worried for his immortal soul?

Akin tempts Kahraman again with the 10 million. If you take us out of the country, the money will be yours. Kahraman hesitates and Akin ups it to 12 million. An offer he can’t refuse, Kahraman nods and grunts his acceptance.

Nare and Sancar pull up to the mansion. Police are everywhere. The family is outside. Sancar asks, what happened? No answers. Nare asks the same question. Still, no one answers. Nare shouts, speak! What's going on? Halise chokes out, Melek disappeared. What? We can't find her, Halise says. Elvan cries, Yahya brought her to surprise me and apparently Menekse told her about the baby. She was very upset and then she was gone.

Embajador #56 part 5

Sancar steps towards his brother, then grabs him by the throat—what the hell did you do? What the hell did you do? Nare manages to pull Sancar off of Yahya and she grabs him. Look at me, she shouts, look at me! I promise if something happens to my daughter, I swear I’ll kill you!

She runs to Sancar and hits him, I'll kill you, too, and your wife! Did you hear me? She is hysterical. I'm going to kill you all! I'm going to kill you all! You will find Melek! You will find Melek! Did you hear me? Sancar pulls her into a bear hug. She struggles against him. Please relax, he tells her, we will find her. Calm down, calm down, calm down. She sobs.

It’s dark out and Melek is still sitting beside the unconscious Kavruk. A cute little dog walks up to her. She tells him, we have to do something and help Kavruk. Do you know the way? I don't. They set off together.

Kahraman arrives home. The television is blaring and can be heard outside the house. Kahraman walks through the door, takes the remote out of an elderly man’s hand and turns off the TV. Where is your hearing aid, he asks, did you eat it? He tells a woman who is sitting nearby to leave.

Akin clears his throat. Kahraman motions toward the old man; he’s my father. He’s not right in the head. Come sit. Akin asks, and when are you going to kidnap Nare?

The police search is on for Melek. They are looking through a wooded area. Sancar and Nare are searching, too, shouting for their daughter. Hasan tells Sancar the commander says they should scatter the search. Nare wonders how far a small girl like Melek could have gone. She’s going to go crazy. Nare asks the officer if they were able to question Yahya or Menekse. Yes, but there was nothing else, he replies.

Sancar tells Nare to calm down. Let's go talk with Yahya, he says. Sancar tells Hasan to get more men and he asks, where is Kavruk? Tell him to help, too.

The searching and shouting continue.

And we are out.

Dondi, thank you for every awful detail. I cant stand the terrible turn this show has made . Seeing Melek terrified and upset and the sobbing in the trunk and later sitting beside and toucbing the bleeding , unmoving Kavruk was upsetting for me. I cannot continue to watch if something bad happens to her . She looks too much like my granddaughter. This show is Too evil for me to watch if this,sweet child is hurt. San and Nare have to start thinking of wbat is best for their child and put tbeir differebces aside for her sake. Basta.

I hope Nare doesn't get kidnapped on top of Melek being missing.

In the battle of good versus evil, i need the good to win , in telenovelas and in Real !ife.

TU AMOR ep 17

Valentina wants to make sure that someone adopts baby Fatima soon because she's all alone in the world. She's so beautiful and defenseless. Val doesn't understand how the baby's mother could have abandoned her. She asks Claudio if she could adopt the baby if no one else does. He doesn't think so. There are a lot of requirements such as economic solvency. When she asks the Mother Superior the same question, the poor sister looks really concerned. She assures Val that there are many couples that could adopt the child. Val tells the sister to let her know if there is anything she needs. Sister thinks Val will be a great mom when her time comes.

Hector informs Patricia that he just asked Helena to be his novia and she said yes. Pat thinks to herself that she can use this to her advantage. She gets Hector to agree to hide things from Helena such as the fact that he is working for her. He doesn't feel right about hiding things but he'll comply for now.

Ricardo wants to get to the ranch ASAP but Doctora Rosamaria tells him that things aren't that easy. She shows him an article which states that there was only one survivor on his flight. Camila Casanova the top model. His sister and novia think that he is dead. He has to prepare them. It slowly sinks in. I'm dead. To everyone I'm dead. It could be dangerous to just show up one day without warning.
 

TU AMOR ep 17 part2

Some street hoods are beating up someone when Regino, their boss, shows up. He tells one of them (Brochas) to shut up when he asks him what took so long with Horacio. Regino tells the other ones to take off and then starts in on Brochas. What did I do wrong for you to turn out so stupid, hijo? If you were like Claudio.... Brochas doesn't want to hear that name. I believe that Regino tells him that Horacio is not one to be messed with. Brochas doesn't get it. Regino explains that Horacio doesn't think the merchants in his barrio need to pay for protection. We're going to demonstrate that he's wrong. The market and the people there do need protection. He tells Brochas to go find inspector Garcia and tell him to report to Regino ASAP if not sooner. Garcia and Regino meet at an outside restaurant. Regino explains that the stall holders at the market don't think they need his protection so Garcia needs to put in an order to evict them. He'll be able to charge them even more. When Garcia asks for more money up front Regino threatens his family.

When Camila shows up at the studio, Helena fills her in about the show. The colors will be black and white and the theme will be Dignidad. (uh oh) Camila loves the idea and will help with the models. As she gets started Adelaida comes in. She needs to talk to Helena about a delicate matter. Is it true that Armando owed her a lot of money and now that he died the ranch is hers? Armando was desperate due to gambling debts. They were going to kill him if he didn't pay. He signed a bunch of notes and probably never thought he'd lose the ranch and then the accident happened. Pat hasn't accepted it yet but she never loved Alfonso so now she's going to pay.

Leonardo is on the phone in his jail cell. He's telling someone how much he misses them but very soon they'll be together. Helena is going to have to cancel the show. Do you know how much money they're going to lose? I'm telling you. She always does what I want. I'm going to let Hector and her fall in love and then I'll go into action. So that it will hurt more. Yes, I love you too. Later Majo tells Claudio that she's in love with Leonardo. As nicely as possible, he tries to make her realize that she doesn't have a chance with him and he's known him since they were kids.
 

TU AMOR ep 17 part 3

Val has a melt down thinking about how alone Fatima is. She doesn't understand how a mother could abandon her. Claudio says there are many reasons and they shouldn't judge. Val has a flashback to the note that was left with the girl. Her mother was the happiest woman in the world when she knew she would have a baby. She had a thousand plans for her. But then she was abandoned by the father as well as her own family. She had to leave her with the nuns. She will always love her and will never forget her and hopes for her forgiveness some day. Val makes a vow to help get Fatima out of the orphanage, even if it means adopting her herself.

Helena gets a text at the studio that her assigned day for fashion week is the one right after Yolanda's. They'll be closing the show. She gets really pumped about this because it's never happened before. This time Yolanda won't be able to steal Helena's designs and won't be able to change her show. Yolanda angrily makes a call. She doesn't care about last years scores. She's Yolanda Pratas and she always closes out national fashion week. Tell the committee, she'll boycott all the interviews. At this point Beba asks a very sensible question. How can Helena be closing out the show if she's not even participating? Good point. I wonder if she's been talking to Leonardo.

Val obsesses about Fatima to Connie, Nora, and Horacio. It was like losing a piece of herself when they took the girl from her arms. Horacio felt the same thing with Claudio. In a flashback he asks Claudio's mother (Claudia) what he's supposed to do with a baby alone that isn't even his. Something changes though, once he holds him and looks into his face. Just in time because Claudia couldn't hold on any longer. He knows what Val feels but she's so young and a single mom's life is really hard. Later she and Claudio buy some things at the baby store and Val wants to take them to the orphanage right away even though visiting hours are over. Claudio calls her "mi amor" which she really likes hearing.
 

TU AMOR ep 17 part 4

Enrique admires Claudio and considers him an honest guy. Guillermo doesn't have to fear dealing with him. Claudio knows that running a ranch is a major headache and costs a ton of money to maintain. Helena would rather give it away than to sell it to her father. Claudio gets her to calm down and to think about it. Her money might be better spent investing in her studio. OK. Helena will agree with one condition and it's a big one. Her father will have to deal with her directly.

At Val's house Claudio tells her that their best chance of adopting Fatima is to do it together. He takes a knee and proposes marriage.
 

TU AMOR. Excellent recap, JoelD. You've really outdone yourself this time! I almost expect Ricardo to walk in right as Valentina is about to respond to Claudio's proposal. And yet again, more official Mexican corruption in the form of Inspector Garcia.

Dondi, great job. Kavruk is so poetic. "Think of a mountain where it hasn't rained..." I didn't get it and I don't think Nare did either, but the man is deep.

Yay, a sweet dog approaches Melek from out of nowhere. Surely, this is a good sign that she'll be back with her parents soon. I hope the dog becomes a permanent cast member.

Kahrahman taking evil, sick Akin to the home he shares with his dad and his caretaker(?) girlfriend(?) was a surprise. Kahrahman has a conscience, but how deep is it?

There were many headshaking moments here. Val, it is very helpful to have a job when you seriously think about adoption. And taking his cue from Val to run before you walk, Claudio decides to go along with the rushed NY minute decision to adopt by proposing???

So who was Leonardo talking with? Wouldn't it be something if it were Yolanda?? Intellectually evil equals.

Niecie, I believe Nare understood that the mountain is Sancar Efe. She's not ready to budge. Come on, alaca kuş, pierce the sky and make it rain again! Kavruk is a well written character, and the actor brings that character to life. Viewerville might tend to focus on the interactions between Sancar and Nare, but Kavruk’s scenes with Sancar and also with Nare are some of the best.

Yes, let’s take the dog as a good omen. He looks so sweet and at least Melek isn’t all alone.
