Ep 17: The Cub Lassos the Cougar! Part 1

Yuri is dragged out as Cholo yells for help. His cellmate enters so Cholo tells him what happened. Cellmate tells him to calm down because the guards could come and take the phone away. Cholo then tries to call Yuri but some goon answers and tells him that he’d better confess to the murder and tell his little girlfriend to stop investigating.

The doctor tells Alicia and SerJerk that Miranda is conscious but they need to run some tests.

Sofia is still trying to talk her parents into getting back together. They tell her that they are just friends. When Martin adds that Carlota has a very strong character, both Carlota and Sofia ask what he means., Martin is saved by Diablo’s call to inform him that he is all over social media and is being accused of leaking the news about SerJerk and Juleech.

Meanwhile Juleech laughs that her plan worked. She calls Chiquis who confirms that the fake news is running rampant, but she feels somewhat sorry for Martin.

Cholo worries and doesn’t know what to do. He remembers that the law firm’s number is in the book and calls to talk to Moises. Cholo tells Moises that Yuri is in danger; she was at his house and their call was cut off. But then he tried to call her and a guy answered. Moises quickly leaves to go look for Yuri. His partner offers to call the cops, but Moises tells her to wait until he finds out more; he will call her.

SerJerk is still reproaching Alicia for being a bad mother and not answering her phone. Miranda had the head injury for two days and she didn’t even know! He questions where she was when the school called her so she explains that she was a the repair shop. Eva then arrives…ughhh!

Gonzo is still with Fedora when he gets a call from the credit agency and is informed that he needs to turn in his car and his credit has been cancelled. Gonzo asks about giving payments, but is told that he needs to pay the balance in two days. Seeing that Gonzo is shaken, Fedora offers him a drink.

Martin assures Diablo that the rumor on social media is false. Fabian knows but worries that social media can be very damaging. Fabian then tells Martin about Juleech’s warning that SerJerk is furious with him.

Sofia is disappointed that her father left in such a hurry. When Sofia asks why Carlota won’t admit that she still likes Martin, Carlota admits that she has been thinking about Martin….but she panics at the thought of a reconciliation.

Lucas is instructing his accountant to make sure some money transfers disappear when Mercedes tells him that Luna and her mother are there. Lucas goes out and tells them that Alicia is not there…and that they have no money at this time to give Luna a grant. He tells then to try again the following year.

Eva doesn’t help matters when she tells Alicia that she had noticed something was wrong with Miranda. SerJerK then gets a call from Juleech so he tells her that he is at the hospital. She wants to go be with him but he tells her not to. After Juleech hangs up, Martin enters wanting to talk to her.

 

Ep 17: The Cub Lassos the Cougar! Part 2

Gonzo is searching for jobs without success. Fedora assures him that her ex will probably get him some type pf job. They talk about his trying to please his father. She then tries to lift his spirits with more wine and music. They start dancing and things look like they are going to get heated.

Moises and Jorge arrive at Cholo’s house and see that Yuri’s car is still there. They try to enter but the gate is locked.

Cholos worries that now he is a real murderer…Yuri went to his house because of him. After he bangs on the wall and yells, the guards come in and drag him away.

Martin confronts Juleech about the rumor. He knows that she is just trying to place blame somewhere else. When she tells him that he should just quit, Martin refuses; so she suggests that he ask for a transfer. Martin ignores her suggestions and asks why she targeted him, but Chiquis interrupts and tells Martin that Fabian is waiting for him.

Maruja chides Facundo for investigating on his own. Facundo is fed up that everyone is treating him like he’s inept and crazy…even Mujica!. When Maruja suggests that Mujica has always been jealous of him, Facundo reminds her that they were partners for many years. She then counters that that during his last year, Facundo was supposed to get a promotion but all of a sudden things got difficult for him.

Karina is trying to question Mujica about Cholo’s case but he rants that he is the boss and she shouldn’t be doubting and questioning his investigation. This had better the last time that she puts her nose where it doesn’t belong! He gets uncomfortably close to her and tells her that from now on she will be working close to him so she can learn to respect her superiors…and he sniffs her neck (Yu-uck!)

Martin talks to Fabian and assures him that he didn’t leak the information. After Fabian advises him to find some way to prove that it was not he who leaked the information, Martin wants to go talk to SerJerk, but Fabian tells him that SerJerk is at the hospital because of his daughter. Fabian assures Martin that he does appreciates and respects him, but SerJerk is bound to take drastic measures. Martin assumes that Fabian is warning him that he will be fired.

Moises finally breaks the lock on the gate and runs in to Cholo’s house. He finds Yuri tied, sitting on the floor and passed out. Meanwhile, Cholo is still going crazy…now in isolation.

Yuri wakes up and wonders why Moises is there. Moises tells her that Cholo called the office to warn them that she could be in danger. He ignores her smile as she thinks of Cholo worrying about her. Yuri then tells him how someone grabbed her and put a cloth on her mouth. She hopes that now Moises believes that there is more to the case that he wants to believe.

At the hospital, the doctor comes out and tells Alicia and Serjerk that Miranda had some hemorrhaging but it was not as serious as it could have been. They will keep her at the hospital for a couple of days.

 

Ep 17: The Cub Lassos the Cougar! Part 3

Culebra is trying to reach Enigma who hasn’t been answering the phone. His buddies tease that he seems to be too worried, so Culebra deflects and reminds them that they have the tournament coming up soon.

Gonzo and Fedora are still dancing and quite tipsy. Just then Fedora’s ex calls and tells her that he can see Gonzo the next day. Fedora suggests that they celebrate with champagne, but Gonzo is so happy that he holds Fedora close and starts to caress her body…and they kiss!!

Martin worries that whoever spread the rumor did it very well. Fabian tells him to wait until SerJerk arrives…but Martin disappears and leaves Fabian talking to himself.

Mujica is now at Cholo’s house investigating. Moises tells him that his novia was tied and drugged. Karina goes in to talk to Yuri who points out that someone is trying to make sure she remains quiet. Meanwhile Mujica is in Cholo’s workroom and thinks that the alebrijes and everything in there only prove that Cholo is a psychopath.

SerJerk, Alicia and Eva are with Miranda and notice the tattoo…which triggers another useless argument. SerJerk again berates Alicia for not knowing about the tattoo.

At the culinary school, a student tells Lorena that her relationship with Gonzo isn’t going to work …he is going to break her heart. (Yup, he sure is!)

Moises takes Yuri home. When she persists that her hypothesis about the case was correct; Moises tells her that the case has become too dangerous and he is taking over.

The argument continues at the hospital room until Alicia finally gets fed up and storms out. On her way to the cafeteria, gorgeous eyes finds her and hugs her as he tells her that everything will be fine. SerJerk approaches and wonders. “What is the meaning of this?”

Question.. In one of the flashbacks...Gediz's dad talked down to Sancar...telling him that he was not good enough for Nare and to leave her to Sancar. That was confusing to me because they were still young at that age and I thought Gediz knew about Nare....but had never met her. Or was this a brain fart by the writers?

Such a good but cringey episode! Ewwww! Fedora taking advantage of Gonzo as he shows his “gratitude”/Mujica and his sexual harassment of Karina.

Bizarre: Moisés sees Yuri tied up seated on the floor and rather than rushing to her, he just stands and stares at her. What was that about?

Sure . . . it is all Alicia's fault. Why doesn't she ask Sergio why being with his lover has been more important than keeping track of his own kids? Why does he get to be the criticizer in chief?

Lucas is just plain disgusting.

Culebra had another different style of snake shirt.

Sergio got an eyeful: Alicia needs to tell him what is good for the gander is good for the goose! 😊

Your summary was sensational and peppered with gems.

I’m glad Yuri is safe. As much as I don’t care for Moises I can’t blame him for taking her off the case. I understand Cholo’s being upset but he has to channel his anger into something more constructive like trying to keep his nose clean…

“Carlota admits that she has been thinking about Martin….but she panics at the thought of a reconciliation”. I’m sorry to say Carlota that your thoughts are premature and without merit. At Sofia’s well meaning but misguided attempt for a reconciliation, Martin’s smile vanished and he looked as though he wished he were anywhere else.

I had hoped there would be support and a real friendship between Gonzalo and Fedora. I’m not quite sure what to say other than I’m disappointed in both of them. Let’s hope Samuel doesn’t show up.

“Eva doesn’t help matters when she tells Alicia that she had noticed something was wrong with Miranda”. Liar.

In addition to (likely) setting up Cholo, Mujica sabotaged Facundo’s career. The neck sniffing was odious Perhaps Maruja could be persuaded to join the force? Karina could use some help. And defense.

Lucas telling Marcela that the funs had dried up was a rookie mistake. Did he think Luna and Marcela would just slink away never to return? It’s also apparent Mercedes is getting fed up…

So Culebra is worried. There is a subconscious force at work that has triggered some sort of emotion. He just needs to figure out what that is.

Cringy episode indeed, the whole Mujica scene just ruined it for me. What a slimeball! It's bad enough that he is a crooked cop and the sexual harrassment makes it SO ICKY!

Diana, "In addition to (likely) setting up Cholo, Mujica sabotaged Facundo’s career. " It was interesting to me how Maruja suggested that Mujica was envious of Facundo and that Facundo was up for a promotion, but things suddenly went awry for him. ITA that Mujica had something to do with that!

"Why doesn't she [Alicia] ask Sergio why being with his lover has been more important than keeping track of his own kids? Why does he get to be the criticizer in chief?" I really wish the writers would stop with SerJerk's blamegame. I certainly have had enough to know that SerJerk is a real A$$. Ya basta!

I'll have the recap up a little later today but I wanted to answer Nett. This was clearer in the original Turkish. Gediz' father meant that Nare was out of Sancar's league and that Nare should be with someone like Gediz instead. As far as we know, Gediz and Nare didn't meet at that young age, but Gediz' father knew the ambassador.

"Martin sure has Juleech's little number" - HA! Too funny Rgv Chick.

A bit of a disappointment that Juleech's character is rather one dimensional. Her role as co-host (granted, an unequal partnership), is such that she has to be fairly intelligent. All we see is her constant plotting to ensnare Sergio (which has us flummoxed to begin with). She's reduced to being seen "with" Sergio (ack) or pouting and trying to accuse Martin. Are we ever going to see her work to research a story??

Jarifa, "cringy" was a perfect description of this episode. Unsettling.

Good luck with your mowing Rgv Chick. I hope everyone is managing to stay cool. It's supposed to be close to 100 today, we are smack in the middle of a multiple day heat wave.

Well the clouds turned into rain clouds...so much for day planning! Inside chores it will be :-) Diana, surprisingly, this month has been tolerable in the RGV. We haven't hit 100 in my immediate area...yet.

Diana, great observation on Juleech. In the previous episode she told Diablo that she wanted to actually go out and do a story on her own...but that remains to be seen.

RgvChick, in my estimation: highlights=lowlights=summary=outlines=notes=synopsis=recap. And I thank you for it! No need for explanations. Some recaps are long, some are short. Some are detailed, some are outlines. All are A-0kay by me and I am sure by everybody else. Good luck on your mowing. With the weather the way it is, we have to take care to get stuff done outside when it is most bearable/desirable. Not much wiggle room these days.

“SO ICKY” said it all! I didn’t see that coming from Mujica which I think made it worse. Yep, Martín is not much use to anyone right now.

I had to research the actress playing Karina because she looked familiar again. It is Lorena Graniewicz who played Renata: Ricardo/Toño’s (Adrián Uribe) half-sister from “Como tú no hay 2” again. Also, from that previous novela is Carlos Said playing Gonzo here and as well as a couple of others. Just finding this out makes me remember how much I enjoyed “Como tú no hay 2.” We need more goofy comedies!

Diana, ITA agree about Moisés. Considering how Yuri was evidently targeted by the unknown perpetrator, she should be off the case. At first I thought that maybe Moisés had hired the guy to scare her off the case, but now I don't think so. It is always nice to have a bit of a mystery. It surprised me that Culebra was sort of upset but didn't quite know why.

Rgv Chick, I would like to see Juleech working hard rather than hardly working. I would imagine a villain needs lot of time to plot and plan but it doesn't explain how she ended with such a stellar career.

Jarifa, I loved your explanation of what constitutes a recap. You are exactly right! And like you, I am very grateful for every recap. To be honest, all of the summaries here on Dejan have been chock full of details so by definition have been recaps. I'll even include mine which don't have the majority of the dialogue but hopefully capture most of the action :)

Jarifa, I love a good mystery as well. I can't even think of the last TN comedy. A bit of lightheartedness would be most welcome.

TU AMOR ep 46 part 1

Nora tells Leonardo that Valentina is hanging on to the memory of her parents and of living in the village. Don't tell me that you've forgotten your parents so quickly, he says. I keep them in my memory box so I'll always have them. The better to forget my boring life on the ranch. And the horror of being poor and having to do everything the bosses say. That's our connection Nora, we hate the poor and living a life of deprivation is horrible. And I'm this close to ending it, says Nora. What if you aren't the daughter of Guillermo Vargas?, Leo asks, If I were you I'd make sure the DNA test came out in my favor. They take a saliva sample with a swab. Another simpler way is with a hair. But the hair has to be torn out, he says, and pulls out one of hers. You two will probably go to the lab for a saliva sample. So why the hair?, she asks. The hair is for when you can't, or don't want to take the saliva swab. If the hair was from Helena, it would come out the same as Guillermo.

Leonardo immediately goes to Yolanda's to tell her about the girls. She's not surprised. She says Guillermo was an inverterate womanizer but became bitter when his wife died. Nora could help us. She's a good informant and has something even better; her ambition. That's why I put her in the show, says Leo, and Helena fired me. You'd expect that, Yolanda says, that girl was ridiculous. She has no talent, much less acts like a model. I never imagined the press would love her so much, Leo says, and I had no other way to ruin Helena's show. I risked too much with that plan and you know it. What can I say dear, it went bad for you. If I were Helena I would have fired you too. She surprised all of us with her success, Leo says. All of us?, Yolanda laughs. Don't mock, he says, we can take advantage of that girl. What if Nora is Helena's sister? You steal her and turn her into a star model. Before you make plans, you need to find out which of the two is Guillermo's daughter, says Yolanda.

Nora walks in on Majo who is working hard to finish up a project. Isn't anyone working here?, Nora asks, fashion week in Madrid is coming up. Where is everyone? It's dinner time, says Majo, how about helping me? You already used your free time. You know what?, says Nora, nobody tells me what I have to do. They send me here to there like I'm a maraca. Well, we have a photo session tomorrow, says Majo. Why didn't anyone tell me?, Nora asks, aren't they going to photograph me? No, of course not, Majo tells her. It's an interview for Helena. When Helena arrives, Nora asks her about the interview. Majo says her dressing room is ready and makeup and hair will be there super early tomorrow. They're not going to take photos of me?, Nora asks. Uh, no, says Helena. Well at least let me do your hair and makeup says Nora.

Leonardo visits his mother Consuelo, who asks him if he wants something to eat. Mina asks him if they'll be taking photos of the doll clothes she's made. They're not going to, he says, because Uriel the photographer is very busy. But you're the bosss right?, Mina asks. It's not that easy, he says. There's a lot of work at the shop. But Leo, you got the girl excited about this, Connie says. I'm sorry mother, he responds, but it's time she realize that not everything in life that she wants, she gets. Mina tells her abuela that it's OK. She's happy helping her make bags for the market. I'm glad we cleared everything up, Leonardo says, because I don't have time for dolls or for visiting. You're not a visitor uncle, you're family, Mina tells him, and we love you.
 

TU AMOR ep 46 part 2

Adelaida pays a visit to Helena. She knows that it must be hard for her but she agreed to talk to Nora and Valentina as Guillermo asked her. Nora barges in and Adelaida greets her. She asks if her sister is there. Nora says she doesn't know where she is but if she wants to, Adelaida can talk to her. Adelaida asks Nora to tell her sister that the DNA test is tomorrow. It's important that the two of them are there. Nora says she'll tell her but Val says she doesn't want to do the test. Well, I won't take up any more of your time, Adelaida tells Helena on her way out. Adiós tía, Nora calls after her. Helena throws Nora a long look that shows she clearly didn't appreciate her comment. Nora meets her gaze with a self satisfied smirk.

Valentina tells Claudio that Nora told her about Adelaida's request that they go to the lab tomorrow for the DNA test. It's not just that she's worried about which one of them is Guillermo's daughter. She's nervous about what will happen to her relationship with Nora. She expresses these same fears later to Horacio. Her heart wants her to always be Chelita and Juan's daughter. She loves her story. She loves her family. She doesn't want anything to change. He tells her the heart is strong and real love never ends. It's not important whose daughter she is but rather what she feels for her parents. For him, she'll always be the girl that came here and changed his life. She's the only thing that remains of his sister. She'll always be his niece. I love you so much uncle she says with tears on her face. She stands and gives him a big hug.

Hector has a hard time paying attention in class. Afterward he goes to Helena's where she greets him with a kiss. They share some wine and light snacks and become silly. They dance a little and enjoy each other's company. After a while they become more passionate. Finally, they give in to the inevitable and go upstairs.

Nora arrives early the next day as Helena preps for her interview. She's brought a brand new brush to use on Helena's hair. She takes it out of the plastic cover and looks for a strand of hair that matches her color. She takes a rough stroke and pulls out several of Helena's hairs. Helena asks her to leave her alone so she can concentrate. Nora carefully drops the brush back into the plastic cover and leaves as the real hairdresser arrives. She locks herself in a room and puts on disposable gloves. She takes out some hairs with a tweezer but rejects them as too blond. She finds a clump of darker hairs that look perfect. She drops them into a ziplock bag. Sorry, sister, she says.

A lab tech comes to Guillermo's house to take a swab from him. He can have the results right away but it will cost extra. No problem, says Guillermo. Then you'll have the results tomorrow, the lab tech tells him. A different tech shows up to Helena's shop. He checks Val's ID and has her sign that she is rejecting the test. Nora tries to give him her hair sample along with her ID. A saliva swab is more reliable he tells her. She can't stand the feeling of something in her mouth, she says, it's disgusting. It's simple he says. I just put the swab to the side of your cheek. It's fast. Really Nora, says Val. I'm in a cold sweat, Nora responds. Touch me. OK, sign here, the tech tells her, and takes the hair sample from Nora. Can you please confirm your name?, he asks. Yes, she says, Nora Fuentes Barrios, until today.
 

TU AMOR ep 46 part 3

Guillermo calls his secretary and tells her he wants to see Enrique in his office with the record of donations he's made to the orphanage. He wants Humberto there as well. He tells Enrique, he must have the records of donations that he asked for yesterday. He's never failed at his job. That's why he's been his right hand man all these years but this is really too much. I've done everything possible, Enrique responds, I've tried to talk to sister Aurora but I can't find her. You can't find her?, he asks, and tells his secretary to connect him to her at the orphanage. Enrique asks mother Aurora to check her files. She tells him there is nothing to check. She gave the only receipt she has to señor Vargas. Enrique thanks her and hangs up. He tells Guillermo that apparantly she only has the one receipt. They'll investigate what account the donations were deposited. Humberto adds that they have an appointment with the bank. They'll find out what happened to the money. OK, Gullermo says, because I'm losing my patience.

Mina and Consuelo bring the bags they've made to Horacio's booth. Mina has brought the doll dresses that she made too. Soon, a customer notices one of the bags. We have them in different colors and sizes Horacio tells her. And we have doll clothes too, says Mina. How many do you want?, Horacio asks. He proposes to another customer that if she buys a doll dress he'll give her a discount on a bag that she likes.

Majo catches Leonardo recording Helena's interview. She didn't think he was still working on their team. He had to pick up his things, he says. Helena tells a reporter that her next collection will be inclusive. She was inspired by an angel that constantly watches over her. Her brother Alfonso. He was her great inspiration. In fact, one day they were right over there and he urged me to come up with designs for real women. Women that are valued for who they are and not for their physical appearance. The reporter says that with her talent and her new philosophy her next show will be a great success. It's not only my collection, Helena tells him, it's the work of a great team. We can compete with anyone in the country or in the world. Leonardo says to himself, how naive you are Helena, you don't know what awaits you for having fired me. He texts her comments to Yolanda. Compete?, Yolanda says, Beba, put me in touch with Socorro Cadena, the director of Bazaar magazine. Now you'll know what competition is, Yolanda says. Hector leaves Helena's interview without saying goodbye. He runs into Patricia but tries to get to work. Nora sees them and tells Hector that she's glad he's back with Helena. Pat turns on her when Hector leaves. I advise you to be careful with your comments, Pat tells her, I might say something that you won't like. You're no angel either, Nora says, loving a man who's spoken for. Well, adiós, I've got things to do.

Patricia, Ricardo, and Adelaida are having breakfast in the yard. Pat asks Adelaida about the test. What test?, Ricardo asks. Evidently, one of those farm girls is Guillermo's daughter, says Pat. Ricardo says he would have never believed it. Patricia says she could understand his obsession with Valentina if she was the chosen one. He says she agreed to see him but must have forgotten. Adelaida reminds him that Valentina is engaged. Perhaps he could send her a message but with respect, Adelaida suggests.
 

TU AMOR ep 46 part 4

Leonardo asks Helena if he can talk to her. He asks her to take him back and makes excuses for his behavior. He starts to grovel and even goes down on one knee. He promises to never disobey any of her orders and to always check with her before making decisions. He says that she has some tough weeks coming up and that she needs his help. Well, only because she really respects him and because she needs his help, she'll take him back, she says. But if he dares to raise his voice or question any of her decisions, or behaves inappropriately, he's gone. Thank you he says and hugs her. Like this, she says, this is inappropriate behavior. He leaves and Nora bounces into the office. I just saw Patricia waiting for Hector, she says, I don't know what she's up to. She's always really odd and smug. Well, for the record, I warned you, bye.

Patricia finds Valentina and tells her that Ricardo is really bad. He had a crisis and almost died. She's really worried. Val says she talked to him a little while ago and agreed to see him. But she's not his novia and she's not in love with him. He's obsessed with you, Pat says. All he does is ask for you and asks me to find you. If he dies before you see him it will weigh on you conscience. Rosamaria says if you don't see him it will cause him stress. He could die. Valentina isn't sure what she should do. She asks Helena for advice and calls Claudio to tell him what Patricia said. He thinks something is strange and he begs her not to see Ricardo. She says they'll talk later. Helena tells Valentina that of course Claudio is worried. Since Ricardo came back he's been a shadow over their relationship. Was he really that important to you? Yes, Val says, she's not still in love with him, but he was her first love, they grew up together, she still remembers the first time he said that he liked her, they were about 10. Since that day he would bring her sweets and look for her. Her first kiss was with him. It was at a village fiesta. She was 17. She thought she was going to marry him. They were going to escape from the ranch and go to Italy to study design. Could it be that you still love Ricardo?, asks Helena.

Chick, thank you for another great recap as the evil ones project their own evil onto the innocents. I am hoping that someone eventually wipes that arrogant smirk off Jul's face. She gloats as she lies and puts the blame on Martin.

Serjerk's behavior is getting worse as he puts the blame for Miranda's condition on Alicia. And Eva needs to shut it. What an awful person . She just wants Alicia to stop rocking the boat that is Eva's comfy life.

Isn't it interesting how bad people can turn the tables and declare that they are in the right. So frustrating .

Mujica is scary and disgusting . ugh and yikes
 

Embajador S2 #24 part 1

Sancar has just told Nare he’s letting her go. They can go to Switzerland and if they are happy, he will be happy, too.

Nare asks him, you are going to visit Melek very often, right? You will visit her, and she will visit you because Melek can't live without you. She’s crying. Don't cry, he says, why are you crying? And we assume that he is talking about himself.]

Nare tells him, when you come back, we will talk to Melek about this, together. Sancar agrees to that. He adds, meanwhile, buy your tickets. Sancar lingers for a few seconds as Nare cries. She tells him to go. He goes. She keeps crying.

Sancar arrives at the shack. Gediz is already there. Greetings exchanged, asalaam alaikum, alaikum salaam. Sancar asks, did you bring him? Gediz answers with his own questions, are you going to take him to the police, as you promised? Or are you going to punish him? Sancar answers, I promised Nare that her daughter would not be without her father. But yesterday I almost lost my daughter; her heart stopped. I will not allow him to continue living.

[Giving you the Turkish] Will you leave Nare to me and go to prison, Gediz asks? Sancar replies, I will leave Nare to herself and I will go to prison. Sancar takes out a paper; it’s the deed to Gediz’ special place. He tells his ex-partner, you can go look at the sea and be upset when Nare flies away.

Gediz responds, there will be no need, after I get rid of you and Akin, I won’t have to be upset. Sancar tells him not be so confident. Take it anyway, he says, it’s your pain, and your right. [this was the title of the Turkish episode] Gediz takes the paper and goes into the shack. He retrieves Akin, throws him at Sancar’s feet and says, and your pain, your right. Sancar gives Akin the death stare.

Sancar tells Gediz, I will always respect an honorable enemy like you. Then he lifts Akin up off the ground, looks up at the mountain, and tells him, as for you, not so much. Walk! Gediz wipes his eyes as he watches them go. [you better be crying for yourself, Gediz]
Sancar brings Akin to the top of the mountain and lays him down overlooking the edge.

Look down, he tells Akin, you look. Akin begs, please-- Sancar tells him again to look. I'm telling you to look down. [in Turkish] I am your Azrael [angel of death] and this is the Sirat Bridge [the connection to paradise, only the righteous can cross, the others fall into hell] Akin continues to beg for his life. It’s a long way down.

Cut to the airport, Melek is sitting with her father. She is crying. Sancar kneels in front of her, you promised not to cry. We talked about this, right? But, dad, she says, there are a lot of people here who are saying goodbye and it makes me sad. Sancar looks at her. Let me see, he says, there are no more tears. Do you know something, daughter? These people will reunite one day, the same as us. Melek asks, do you promise? Sancar says he already told her.

Embajador S2 #24 part 2

Sancar wonders where Nare is. She went to buy water and has not returned. Did she go to the river for it? Melek looks past her dad and motions. Sancar turns to see Nare walking towards him with a lit candle in a cupcake. What is this, he asks? She replies, even though we are here and about to leave, we wanted to celebrate your birthday. Melek says, “iyi ki doğdun, baba”, it’s good that you were born, dad. [This is the Turkish birthday greeting for family and friends.] Nare repeats the birthday greeting.

Sancar is blindsided. It was not necessary, he says. Nare tells him to blow out the candle. Melek adds, but first make a wish, and you must not tell us. If you tell, it won’t come true. Sancar says to his daughter okay. Then he looks at Nare and says, I'm not going to tell you. [there’s no need to tell, is there?] He closes his eyes, and with a tear, he blows out the candle. Melek wipes her face and claps.

Melek hands her father his birthday present. It’s a framed drawing she made. The family of three standing with arms raised by the tree with the carving, “Sancarin Naresi”, Sancar’s Nare. Sancar is overwhelmed. He lifts his daughter into a hug and puts his arm out for Nare. Family of three embrace.

We go back three days to Sancar taking Akin to the mountain top. Sancar makes Akin look down. Akin begs. Sancar tells him enjoy the view. Don’t tremble. Sancar tells the bastard, nine years ago, Nare was here because of you. Because of you and me, she was here. Sancar tells him, she was able to jump.

Akin snivels. Sancar shouts, enough was enough. Look down! Cowardly Akin shouts back, I don't want to! Sancar repeats, look down. I have thought a lot about her, and you will think of her, too, you bastard!

Akin pleads, don't do it— Sancar but you won't think of her, right? Because you cannot think of anyone but yourself, am I wrong?! Sancar turns Akin around to look at him. He grabs him by the throat. If you've stopped shaking, now you're going to tell me who gave those pills to my daughter? Who was your accomplice?! Who gave the pills to my daughter?

Akin tries to make a deal. Sancar, I promise that if you let me go, you will tell you everything. Sancar tells him to shut up. Sancar has an offer of his own, if you tell me, I'll just let you fall. However, if you don't, I'll break all your bones right here.
Gediz is still hanging around and he’s looking up at the mountain.

Akin says, wait, if you torture me and throw me, they will put you in jail. Your daughter will lose her father. Sancar replies, ah, you hope that Nare stays and uses my daughter against me. I already made that mistake! He belts Akin in the mouth. Akin shouts and cries. Sancar turns him around to look down again. I've already made that mistake once in my life!

Sancar growls at Akin, Nare doesn't know anything. I will throw you into the void and Nare will leave here without knowing. Did you hear? You have no hope. Tell me, you bastard! Akin yells, don't do it, stop it! It goes back and forth like this for a while. Akin whines and sobs but doesn’t crack; the coward eventually passes out. Sancar hasn’t even hit him again.

Kavruk shows up with Nedim. Sancar calls Nedim up to the top. I don't want to force Gulsiye, he tells Nedim, so force him to speak. Will do, Nedim replies.
Sancar comes down and Kavruk asks, did he tell you who gave her the pill? No, he fainted from fear. Kavruk figures that Nedim will find a way to make Akin talk. Gediz asks, what will happen when you find out who did it? Will you kill him too? And what about Kahraman? Gediz says, they will give you 30 years for each one.

JoelD, I’m beyond impressed. This was amazing – well written and completely absorbing. Savored every syllable.

In the midst of all the heinous scheming, planning and plotting there was “You're not a visitor uncle, you're family, Mina tells him, and we love you”. A blessedly naïve breath of fresh air, propelled by kindness.

Leo is amoral and without a conscience. Appealing to Nora’s avarice, he shrewdly spewed “That's our connection Nora, we hate the poor and living a life of deprivation is horrible.” His whining and begging Helena seemed improbable and impossible. His kneeling struck such a false note. In her heart Helena now understands who he is. I have no doubt were he not Hector’s brother, he would be gone.

“You're no angel either, Nora says, loving a man who's spoken for”. Although Nora gets under everyone’s skin, I smiled that she is definitely an irritant to Patricia. I could not believe Patty was stalking Hector. Again. At least he left her in the dust this time.

It isn’t bad enough that Patricia is pouring on the guilt to Valentina, but the bad doctora continues to fuel the fire with “Rosamaria says if you don't see him it will cause him stress. He could die”. Zip it.

I had a momentary flash as to what might happen if the hair shows Nora is NOT Guillermo’s daughter!! Of course it won’t happen and we know we will now be subjected to having to watch Nora’s ascension to the throne. Ack.

Sancar responds, I handed Akin over to the police. Nare will think that’s the truth. Gediz says, this time Nare won't stop you and it is over. I agree. Let the alaca kuş fly. Kavruk, asks Gediz, how can you know? He looks at Sancar and says, you don't know either. It is destiny. He looks at Gediz again, if it is written, the alaca kuş is going to fly away. He looks at Sancar again, but if it is not written, the alaca kuş will not fly, and the legend will continue.

Gediz says, to hell with that legend. I’ll agree, I won't say anything. I'll just get rid of you and Akin, he tells Sancar, and I'll do Nare a favor. I’ll visit her in Switzerland. Gediz walks away but Sancar calls after him, wait, you will not rewrite anything.

Brief flashback. [from the Turkish] Sancar raises his voice to Gediz, you will rewrite this story? You will steal Leyla from Mecnun, the ambassador’s daughter from the farmer’s son? Sure, it's a suitable challenge for Gediz Isikli! End flashback.

Sancar approaches Gediz, you couldn't take the ambassador's daughter from me. Maybe she was not equal to me, maybe she was equal to you. But it is over Gediz. I let Nare go free, and you will do the same. I became a victim of my doubts, he cautions, do not become a victim of arrogance. Gediz leaves without another word to Sancar.

Nare, Elvan and Melek are up in Grandpa’s room. Nare is buying plane tickets. She’s still weepy. Melek is drawing. Melek asks Elvan, can we make a huge cake for dad's birthday? Elvan looks at Nare and then tells Melek, of course we will. Nare confirms her reservations. Elvan goes over to Nare. She shows her the reservation. Elvan says, on his birthday? Nare cries.

Sancar and Kavruk return to the mansion. A taxi pulls up and Meanie comes out of the gate. Sancar asks her, where are you going? Meanie replies, you said you wanted me to leave. I'm going to find a house and maybe find a lawyer that will prevent the divorce just to torture you.

Elvan leaves Grandpa’s room and runs right into Sancar. No words are spoken. They hear Melek from inside complaining that her drawing isn’t coming out right. I wish my father didn't have a beard, she tells her mom. Nare answers, no, Melek, I think dad looks more handsome with a beard [we agree]. Sancar smiles, and Elvan does, too. He silently motions for Elvan to go.

Sancar sticks his head inside the door. He smiles and tells Nare you could have said "I like it", but—Melek gasps and hurries to hide her picture. Sancar thanks Nare for the compliment. Melek issues a slight reprimand to her dad, why did you enter without knocking? Sancar replies, but if I knocked before entering, how would I have heard your mother say that I am handsome?

Melek needs her mother’s help to keep her picture away from her dad. Nare says, come here, come quick, come here. And Melek runs to partially hide by her side. Nare tells Sancar, we had our fun, now go, okay? Sancar’s not going until he sees what they are hiding. They say, we are hiding nothing. He persists. Melek asks her mom to stop him and Nare gives him a hug to hold him back. Sancar whispers to her, did you hug me just in time? [in the Turkish he said, I’ve been waiting for you to do this.] Nare brushes past him and out of the room. Sancar warns Melek he will see what she’s hiding and he follows Nare out.

Outside the room, Nare asks, what did you do? Sancar tells a half truth, Akin was with Kahraman and we turned him in. Nare asks, to the police? Sancar replies, they are questioning him. [well, someone is questioning him.] Another question from Nare, we will find out who gave that sedative to Melek, right? Sancar answers, they will make him confess. Nare thinks and says, maybe Akin gave money to one of the guards who entered the kitchen. Maybe Gulsiye knows him and tries to protect him—

Sancar tells her to calm down. They have Akin. This time he won't be able to escape, and we will find out everything. Don’t you feel better? There is no danger, Akin is locked up. You don’t have to stay here. You can fly calmly.

Nare says she’s not calm. It’s true, there is no more danger. She asks him not to mention flying when Melek is nearby. He agrees and says, we should tell our daughter that you’re leaving, but how will we do it? Nare is not sure. She frets, I’m not ready. Sancar asks, are you not ready to tell her yet? Or to fly? [there’s always that thin thread of hope] She hurries away from him. He follows.

Halise has found out Gulsiye is not in the mansion. Elvan asks Ayse, why did she leave without warning? Ayse stumbles for an answer, [using Turkish because of mistranslation] uh-- last night my aunt called and said she was sick and asked for her. She left immediately. Without asking my permission, Halise questions? She tells Ayse to call her so she can reprimand her.

Nare walks past and asks Elvan, to watch Melek. Sancar follows and Ayse stops him saying, Sancar gave her permission to leave, right, Sancar? You gave permission Gulsiye permission to take care of her sick aunt. He remembers and says he gave permission. Halise is not happy he did this before Kavruk’s wedding.

Sancar follows Nare to the stable. She says I was just looking at Gece. I'm going to miss him. She’s crying again. Sancar asks if she has already bought tickets. Yes. He asks when. She shows him her phone and says, I didn't want it to be on your birthday but-- there were no flights next week. Sancar puts on a brave face and laughs, doesn’t matter, I don't like to celebrate my birthday.

We have three days, Nare tells him. Sancar replies, it's better than nothing. Nare says they must tell Melek as soon as possible, but how? Sancar makes it sound easy, many parents get divorced. We will tell our daughter just like the others do. She's very smart—Nare interrupts him, I'm so sorry, she cries, you don't know how sorry I am.

I'm sorry that Melek also has to go through this, she says. But it is impossible for me to stay, even if you are going to divorce. I can’t accept that you will have a child with another woman. She will give birth and you will go to see her. You will stay with her in the hospital. You will hold the child that you have created together. It’s impossible for me to bear something like that. She continues to cry, believe me, I wanted you to be close to Melek all the time. But I'm sorry, I can’t do it. He pulls her in and holds her. Calm down, it's okay, he tells her, do not apologize. Gediz arrives home to find Kman and Guven waiting for him outside. What the hell are you doing at my house, he asks Kman? Are you doing it to scare my sister? Kman replies, first ask where’s your sister who is so afraid of me. Where? She’s at the marina, Kman says, she told me she would start to work there. When I saw her, I ran away, he tells Gediz, but quickly corrects… I had to go. So, you escaped from Muge and came here, Gediz asks, you want to cry on my shoulder?

Kahraman says he won’t cry. He just wants his money and it's over. What money, Gediz asks. Kman reminds him, I gave you Akin, you said you'd give me the money that Yahya stole. I want my money now.

TU AMOR. Another great recap, JoelD. They just keep getting better and better. Of course Val refuses the DNA test. Otherwise, given Nora's hair trick, both of them might seem to be Guillermo's daughters. And given that Nora "brushed" Helena's hair and then insisted that she give a lock of hair as her DNA proof, you would think she'd be unmasked pretty quickly--not that Guillermo doesn't deserve to have a daughter like Nora. :) It's hard to believe that Leo is rehired. Mina is a much better person than he is. The actress playing Nora does self-satisfied smirks very well. Hector is taking a Physics course. Impressive!

Gediz turns to Guven and asks, and you? Guven says, I live here. You asked me to help you in court. I did it. Nare got custody. He puts his palm out and says, my money. Gediz not going to give it because he knows that Sancar withdrew the custody request.

Gediz turns back to Kman. There will be a meeting soon. If they choose Zehra for the company, you'll only see that money in your dreams. Halise Efeoglu will vote for me, he tells Kman, but I will need a little help. If she is not afraid of you, she will not vote for me. Kman replies, if you don't give me my money, I won't lift a finger for you.

Kman reminds Gediz again of the deal. I gave Akin. You said that I would not have to confess to Sancar and you would pay me. Where is my money, he asks, pay me. Gediz asks Kman to come with him and they will talk about the money, somewhere else, with good scenery. He leads Kman to his car. Kman asks what’s going on. Gediz says, if you accompany me, I’ll tell you. [they cut the end where Gediz tells Guven to pack his things and leave, he doesn’t need him anymore.]

This scene was edited at the beginning. Ayse was wondering about the wedding now that Melek is okay. Halise tells her that Sancar is getting divorced tomorrow and it wouldn’t be right to hold a wedding. She suggests they will do a quick ceremony to register the marriage. Ayse and Kavruk agree to it and Halise asks him to fix it for tomorrow night.
Kavruk turns to go and runs into Zehra, they do the dance people do when they can’t get out of each other’s way.

Ayse gets up and separates them. She’s ticked and says to Zehra, I guess you don't realize what you're doing. Zehra responds we met by chance, Ayse, not by obligation. Halise interjects, what do you mean? Who forces whom? Zehra answers, you know that well, mother. Kavruk thinks he's getting married, but he doesn’t know what someone will receive in return. Isn't that an obligation?

Ayse and Halise shoot each other worried looks. Kavruk asks Ayse, then he tells Zehra to speak. Zehra tells him she just found out. My mother bought Ayse a house so she would marry you. She shows him the deed. Here is the proof, she says, it cost her almost a million. Kavruk says nothing and abruptly leaves.

Sancar and Nare are with Melek in Grandpa’s room. They are tilting their heads at each other and raising their eyebrows. Who’s going to start the difficult convo with Melek? Of course, Melek notices that something is up. What are you doing, she asks, do you have a secret? Sancar denies it. Melek is too smart. She asks, so why do you just shake your heads and not say anything? Again, denials.

Melek tells her dad, you are my accomplice, not hers. That's why you can't do anything behind my back. Melek realizes she’s let the cat out of the bag and gasps. Sancar motions to Melek to be quiet but it is too late. Nare asks, accomplices of what? Sancar says to Melek, see what you did? How do we fix this? Nare says you will find a way. Tell me.

Melek explains to her mom, I can't be mad at him and be his accomplice. Listen, mom, dad accepted the conditions I put on him. He will divorce Menekse, and we will be a family. And to convince you, dad and I became accomplices. Sancar’s eyes bug, his daughter confessed so quickly and completely. She didn’t even take a breath.

Nare confirms, so you guys allied yourselves against me? Melek answers in the affirmative. The three sit on the couch. Nare starts to speak but Melek immediately interrupts and gets up—mom, don’t be angry. Dad is getting divorced, now we will be a family, that’s enough!

Melek heads for the door. She tells her parents, I'll leave you alone and I want you to think how we will become a family. She closes the door then opens it again to add, and do not leave here until you agree. Sancar and Nare are stunned and stare at each other.

What will Meanie do when she finds out that Akin is being held by San?I'm. When Akin fainted , I feared that San had killed him.


And there is despicable Guven still with his hand out. What a waste of oxygen.

The writers continue to play with us by not letting us give up hope of San and Nare and Melek somehow eventually being together . However,,I don't think that will ever happen since this show seems to be about the tragedy of love gone wrong . Watching this play out is heartbreaking . I have no idea where this story is going.

It seems that wedding between Kavruk and Ayse might not happen. Good.

When is he going to get caught?

Thx Dondi for answering my question...and your usual outstanding recaps. I've been a little confused on a couple things including when Nare actually found out Melek was not the product of that vile rapist...and why Gediz's dad said certain things to Sancar. Regarding the latter, looks like another case of the rich being typical a-holes and looking down on others.

So Gulsey is off taking care of her "sick mom". So she's not an orphan...or did I misunderstand and she's taking care of someone else's mom. At any rate, she should not have put her self on the line for her selfish sister. Nor should Sancar have cast her out like that.

But someone on the patio posed a good question to Sancar....who in that mansion would have a motive to see Malek harmed or out of the picture. Of course it's not Gulsey. Sancar acts first ...and then thinks later...after causing harm. He only recently learned that Meanie tortured the kid by lying on her...she's the child of "his lover" and one of the reason's Sancar ignores her...so why didn't he immediately think of Meneske. If not 1st...then 2nd...and rather quickly. Good grief. But...if he didn't go on one of his wild rants ...we wouldn't be as entertained I suppose.

Nett, they incorrectly translated the reason for Gulsiye’s absence. In the original Ayse said her “teyze” was sick, that is an aunt on the mother’s side. That’s a big mistake. Gulsiye went to the mansion as a young child and Dudu stayed with her father and Ayse. I’ve found that the Turks use will use the term orphan even if only one parent has died.

Just to recap in case there is still some confusion, Nare found out about the paternity from a DNA test. Before that she was told it was Akin. When she read the test, she cried and told baby Melek, “I named you correctly.”

Yes, good question: Why wouldn’t Sancar suspect Meanie and it’s strange that Nare hasn’t suspected her either.

DEJAN Episode 18 There’s Got To Be A Morning After Part 1

Previously: Lorena and Gonzalo have done a dangerous dance. On the brink of a sweet friendship, things turned recklessly amorous and there is reckoning ahead. Yuri’s being accosted and drugged and Cholo’s wild anger conspire to keep this not yet bourgeoning romance on the back burner. Miranda struggles to hide her identity as Sergio’s incessant accusations against Alicia continue to emotionally decimate. Martin doggedly pursues Alicia, caution to the wind. As Martin gathers a distraught Alicia in his arms, Sergio arrives on the scene, incredulous and indignant.

Sergio demands an explanation. Martin is reprimanded for showing up and showing support to “my wife”. “My love” Sergio spews (SO not smooth as silk),” come” as he grabs her hands. Alicia responds by trying to detach herself and crying in utter frustration.

To the next unpleasant scene. Moises is upbraiding Yuri, calling her irresponsible. He chastises her for doing personal favors for Cholo, specifically mentioning the bonsai. Oh and by the way he asks, how does her client have a cell in prison? Yuri tries to defend herself but Moises is iangry. This verbal tongue lashing mercifully ends when Yaya appears, asking how Miranda is. She receives two blank stares. Yuri, wide eyed asks what happened. Yaya gives the Reader’s Digest version saying she will be all right.

Alicia said Martin was consoling her – that was all the hug was. Enraged, Sergio has the nerve to bring up respect. Alicia has ammunition of her own and of course throws up Jules right back in his face – how he can compare a hug to what she saw him doing with Julieta??? Point. Set. Match still in progress.

Yuri calls Sergio and he provides an update. Alicia grabs the phone and asks Yuri where she has been! I’ve been very worried Alicia asserts (and rightly so!) Yuri heads off any further questions by leaving for the hospital.

Fedora opens her eyes and a pained look is reflected. Is she thinking she is with Samuel? With horror, memory returns and she realizes she is with Gonzalo. Berating herself, she is distraught telling Gonzalo he is the son of her dear friend. They are saved by the bell (or cell) as they both simultaneously receive calls. Fedora answers first, getting the news about Miranda. Both get dressed and head out for the clinic.

Julieta, (in a non-typical serious newscaster skin tight pink dress with lace up top) rants, advising Chiquis not to get involved with a married man (she should take her own advice verdad?) With a self-satisfied smirk she avows Sergio is weak so she has to give him a little push to get him to do what she wants. Bile rises in viewerville’s throats.

Eva shows up as Emiliano is having lunch. She wants information - coffee and dessert aren’t free. She wants the skinny on Julieta. She also tells Emiliano that Sergio needs a little push since what he really wants is his family back. I believe he confirms Julieta and Sergio are back together and that he begs her not to tell. She winces (as do we).

DEJAN Episode 18 There’s Got To Be A Morning After Part 2

Yuri flashes back to her being drugged. She calls Cholo begging him to answer. El Zote answers and asks if she is all right. He tells her what happened. El Zote isn’t sure when he will be out of solitary – it could be hours, days weeks. We next see Cholo getting his meal through a slot in the door as he continues to yell. His knuckles are still bloody as the hatch is shut and the dinner falls on the floor.

Fedora and Gonzalo prepare to leave the house. Fedora is trying to do damage control but Gonzalo seems to be somewhat smitten.

Julieta asks Diablo what the plan is.

Fabian and Lorena arrive at the hospital. Alicia seems to be having some cognitive issues herself telling Rebecca that Sergio might be right in that everything is her fault. Lorena pursing her lips gently tells her friend she is wrong. She says Sergio has not been staying at their house. He must be staying at Julieta’s Alicia says, light dawning.

Culebra calls Enigma. Miranda says she is tied up with exams and will be back in a few days. Eva interrupts the conversation and Miranda hangs up. Culebra looks upset. Where is Enigma the guys want to know. She will be back soon. I believe the other guys think Enigma has ditched them. If this is wrong, please correct me.

Martin worries to Diablo that he might be out of a job. But being far from devastated, he smiles since something good happened (with Alicia).

Mujica slithers up to Karina and asks her for coffee. At the table, he is practically licking his lips. He puts his paw on her knee as she stares. He asks what the “pretty” policeman thinks of the investigation and asks her to lunch. She manages to keep her composure and shockingly agrees. He leers says he will make a great cop out of her!

Fabian defends Martin but Sergio doesn’t believe anything Martin says.

Moises must have insisted on accompanying Yuri to the hospital. He is fed up with hearing about Cholo. Moises dismisses Yuri’s pleas to keep her on the case. He thinks the thug was simply a thief. He chides her for liking her client. Later, he complains that the wedding planning is going very slowly. The patio wonders if he has given any thought as to why that might be??

Miranda has advice coming at her from all quarters, Sergio, Alicia and Lorena. Gonzalo and Lorena show up to give support. There is an awkward exchange of remarks between Fedora and Gonzalo but no one seems to notice. Sergio and Fabian discuss Julieta and the upcoming show.

Julieta is sitting in her anchor chair insisting on doing the show herself since Sergio is at the hospital. With a plastered on smile that never leaves his face, Martin states she is a good reporter but she should stop working on her “work grid”. She must be happy since all the men are not there, and she will now be the protagonist of the show.

In another unhappy home across town, Kique is growing angry and abusive about Alicia’s shabby treatment and Lucas’ dismissal of them at the Foundation. Kique thinks Alicia is a liar and tells Luna that she will start working again...she should tell ”that woman” to bring her clothes so Luna can iron them. He slams down a drink so it spills. Marcela looks on gravely.

DEJAN Episode 18 There’s Got To Be A Morning After Part 3

Gonzalo confronts his father. Sergio tells him that if he isn’t man enough to study what he should then he shouldn’t have the benefit of credit cards or money. The only thing Gonzalo has proven is that he is a failure.

Sergio has barely finished cutting Gonzalo to the quick when looky, another son shows up. Lucas arrives with flowers, “for my sister” he spits out as Sergio grits his teeth. Lucas thinks that Alicia is trying to prove that she is more than a woman who has been cheated on. Emiliano arrives and as Sergio tries to physically evict Lucas, throws the flowers at Sergio. Leave them Sergio tells Emiliano. Lucas slinks off with his tail between his legs.

The tres amigas have coffee at the hospital. Fedora looks guilt ridden when Alicia brings up the children. She brings up Martin, teasing Alicia that she likes him. Gonzalo is asked by his mother how the convo with his father went. Mal he answers.

Yuri is actually managing to get Miranda to laugh. Even Moises is smiling! It’s a miracle!

Martin calls hoping that he didn’t cause Alicia problems by going to the hospital. Alicia notes that Sergio has an enormous dislike for Martin (an understatement) 😊 Martin tells her about the rumor and assures her it isn’t true. And he is happy that he could at least console her with a hug.

Julieta is flying solo! She also goes rogue as she talks about women being discriminated against. Hmm, that item was not on the agenda! Fabian is shocked as Sergio walks toward the screen.

Gonzalo confides in his friend that he slept with Fedora. He claims to feel badly about Lorena but we suspect this is a very recent pang of guilt as he sure wasn’t thinking about her the previous night.

Reaction to the broadcast is mixed. Diablo simply stares but Martin smiles. Ahhh, the phone rings and as Julieta sees Sergio’s name, opts to step slightly out of range and sight. “Hello my love” she coos, how is Miranda? Good. Sergio voices his approval but reminds her it is his show. The next time she pulls something like this, she will be off the program.

Yuri pays no attention to Moises’ threats and is at the jail enveloping Cholo in a huge hug. How are you he says formally, acting very detached. Sensing this, Yuri asks the guard to leave. Are you ill, do you need a doctor, she asks worriedly? Cholo apologizes for the bad days Yuri has had to endure. With a cold expression, Cholo confesses to the murder. As our collective jaws drop, the scene, and the episode end…

Thanks, Diana. This was outstanding! Great title and now I have a singalong/hum-along kind of ear worm and am thinking that I have to see The Poseidon Adventure again sometime soon. Yes, Julieta’s dress was truly something else. I also am missing the puppy.

Most disgusting scene: Mujica with his hand on Karina’s leg. She has a real problem on her hands.

Most annoying scene: Alicia allowing Sergio to physically push her along away from Martín. She kept slapping his hand away. She should have pushed on his butt when he insisted. Guess we could say this scene is symbolic of her control in her own life. She still won’t stop and demand it, take it. Too worried about appearances and everybody else’s feelings.

Most uncomfortable scene: Fedora feeling guilty when with Alicia as she should have. How long until Alicia finds out?

Most enjoyable scenes: Sergio having to deal with Lucas right after having to deal with Gonzo and then having to see Julieta delivering his editorial. Martín did so well adding fuel to the “I wanna be a star” Julieta's “fire” in Sergio’s anchor seat. Martín is one smart cookie.

Most confusing scene: Gonzo confronting Sergio again about the withdrawal of his support. What cannot he understand? He is beginning to sound whiny and entitled.

Most surprising scene: Cholo confessing to the murder of Samuel. I never expected that. I suspect he is doing it to protect Yuri.

I wonder what Sergio will tell Martín at their meeting . . . Tomorrow morning.

Your perception on Alicia "Guess we could say this scene is symbolic of her control in her own life. She still won’t stop and demand it, take it. Too worried about appearances and everybody else’s feelings" was razor sharp. Like Eva, Alicia thinks of others, but for different reasons. She doesn't want to hurt and Eva wants only not to tarnish the family image.

"Martín did so well adding fuel to the “I wanna be a star” Julieta's “fire” in Sergio’s anchor seat. Martín is one smart cookie". Yesss - what an excellent description. I felt a bit of the "All About Eve" vibe, Julieta smartly seizing her chance to have the solo spotlight in Sergio's absence.

I am almost afraid to see this, but I fear there are shades of Sergio in Gonzalo. He doesn't seem to understand let alone accept that his silver spoon has been taken away. Did he even try to pound the pavement to get a job or did he run right to Fedora? Further, he sleeps with Fedora even though he has a blossoming romance with Lorena.

Something must have happened to Cholo that explains the bogus confession. Hopefully Yuri will see through this. I also wish she'd cancel the wedding already...

Diana, there is so much to discuss! Yes! The all About Eve vibe works with power hungry Julieta. As for Gonzo, I think you hit it on the head again that he is more like his father than would care to admit. Gonzo has no idea what it costs to keep a silver spoon in his mouth/support himself in the style to which he is accustomed. As for the Fedora thing, just another proof that he is a chip off the old block.
 

TU AMOR ep 47 part 1

Valentina tells Helena that Ricardo was her first love but Claudio is the love of her life. Helena tells her to make that clear to Ricardo. Meanwhile, at a car lot, Claudio tells Hector that he asked Valentina not to see Ricardo. Hector tells him that guys that get pity always win. As if I need another reason to worry, Claudio says. He tells Hector that Nora will be taking a DNA test. If it comes back negative, that would make Valentina a Vargas, like Helena, Hector replies, that could be worse. Exactly.

Patricia is frustrated with Ricardo. She tells him she's never again going to beg that "cow tender" to come see him. You hear me?, she says, I feel so embarrassed. Did she say anything?, he asks. Yes, that she doesn't love you. The whole world knows it but you. I also ran into skinny little Nora. How I hate her. I don't know what you see in Valentina. As if there aren't other women in the world. You could be with a woman of class like Rosamaria. You're handsome, with style, with money. I don't have money, Richard says, but if it turns out that Valentina is Guillermo's daughter, I'm sure he'll bring her here and I can see her every day. The moment either one of them enters this house, says Pat, will be for her like stepping into hell. I hope it's Valentina, says Ricardo. If it is, I'll accept you marrying her, Pat replies, but if it's Nora, you're going to have to change your wife.

Rosamaria meets Guillermo at a restaurant. She's made some calls to speed up the studies. It will be this afternoon and they'll come to the house. He doesn't know how to pay her back for all her help. She says by continuing to follow her instructions and letting her take care of his medical case. She asks if she can ask him an indiscreet question. His phone rings and it's Adelaida with the lab results. He asks her not to open the letter and leave it on his desk. She should invite the girls to dinner. He tells Rosamaria that he got the lab results which leads back to the indiscreet question. What is his relationship with the Fuentes girls and why all the interest? She apologizes for the question when she sees his reaction. He says he's not bothered by it, but it's a long story. She gets a text that her next patient cancelled their appointment so she has time and would love to hear it.

Humberto and Enrique are at the bank to find out information about the donations of Guillermo's foundation. The manager says it shouldn't be that hard to trace and can get it for him right away. Enrique tells him to take his time, they want to be sure about everything. He gets Humberto to agree. The manager will call Enrique when he has an answer. Enrique shakes his hand and asks about his family. Humberto can see that they're old friends. Guillermo isn't happy when Enrique tells him the bank will have an answer tomorrow. I don't care about the damn bank, he says, you're the one responsible for the money. Can you tell me where it is or not?

 

TU AMOR ep 47 part 2

Guillermo comes in with the DNA test results after everyone is finished with dinner. Nora's results will be sufficient, even though Valentina refused the test. Val thanks him for the dinner and says she's only there to support her sister. With all due respect, she says , her parents will always be Juan Fuentes and Chelita Barrios, regardless of the results. He opens the envelope and says that be that as it may, Nora is his daughter. Papa!, Nora says, as she jumps up to hug Guillermo. He tells the servants that starting tonight Nora is a member of the family and they will treat her as she deserves. Nora promises not to abandon Valentina for being poor. She asks Guillermo if she can move in right away. Valentina asks to be alone with her sister. She asks Nora to go to Horacio's to thank him for everything he did for them. Like not wanting them there?, like counting everything they ate?, like turning off the boiler when they took a bath?, like charging them rent?, asks Nora. For giving us a place to sleep when our father died, Valentina says. OK, Nora reluctantly agrees, but I won't forget Patricia kicking us off the ranch and treating us like servants. Now I have more power than she does and I'm coming right back tomorrow.

At Helena's, she and Majo are preparing some food in their pajamas. Majo says they'll find out who Helena's sister is tonight. Helena remembers how they once thought that Valentina was Yolanda's ally. In time she realized how talented, hardworking, truthful and loyal Valentina was. Helena confesses that she hopes that Valentina is her sister. Majo agrees because the other one, barf. Helena is sure her father will be happy with his new daughter. Patricia won't be however. She'll have to share the house with one of them and she despises them. The conversation turns to men and Majo confesses that she slept with Leonardo. She says it was her fault for loving a man that clearly didn't love her. Maybe she was wrong, Helena tells her, but that doesn't give Leonardo or any man the right to abuse a situation like that. Never forget how much you are worth, Helena says.

Patricia goes to Ricardo's room and asks him if he's going to cangratulate Nora. Why?, he asks. Because she's Guillermo's daughter. Is Valentina still here?, he asks, and gets off of his bed to find her. He congratulates Nora and she leaves them both to check out her new house. Ricardo asks Val why she didn't come to see him. Isn't he important to her? Yes, but we are finished, except as friends. But I love you, he says. Give me a chance. I don't love you, Val tells him, I'm in love with Claudio. I'm getting married. Please accept it.

Yolanda, Beba, and Leonardo are at the office. Patricia isn't answering Yolanda's calls, right when she needs her the most. She doesn't have the luxury of scanning her calls, says Yolanda. You'll have the information, Leo tells her, calm down. What's wrong with you?, Yolanda asks. I admired you. You were fierce. But now you make excuses for everything. You seriously can't find her? Well, if her phone is off it won't ring. But I need to know who Guillermo's daughter is, Yolanda responds. He says there may be another way of knowing it. Well do it, she says, the curiosity is killing me. I can't give you any guaranties but I'll try. But don't ask me to come here again. Someone might see me. Who?,she says, it's night. Beba asks Yolanda why she wants to know this right now. The whole world will know by tomorrow. I'm not the whole world, I'm Yolanda Pratas, not the girl next door. As soon as I find out I'll prepare my strategy to achieve my objectives
 

TU AMOR ep 47 part 3

Nora thought the dinner was delicious and asks Adelaida what the little rolls were called. Empanadas of Serrano ham, Pat says, but you wouldn't be familiar with that. Don't think I haven't had something similar, Nora responds. Do you miss the ranch?, Guillermo asks, you must have some good memories. Well, yes, Valentina and I played all the time. Patricia says that she remembers them playing after they finished cleaning out the stables. Yes, Nora says, and after washing your clothes. It was really hard to remove the smell of sweat. Valentina says they have to go, and Guillermo asks her to promise him that one of these days she'll have a coffee with him. Nora asks if she can see her room. Adelaida assures Val that it will only take a moment.

Patricia goes to Ricardo's room and tells him that he has to marry Nora. He says he can't stand her. Pat says she can't stand either one of them. Then what are you talking about?, Richard asks, do you feel OK? Ricardo, Nora is going to inherit all of Guillermo's money. If you marry her, through joint assets, the inheritence will also be ours. That's absurd Patricia, he says, I love Valentina and want to be with her again, now let me sleep. We'll talk tomorrow, she says as Enrique calls. Quit calling me, she says, I'm tired. Enrique says he'll keep calling her until they resolve the fraud at the orphanage. I could go to jail, he tells her. If Guillermo gets mad again, he might pull the trigger this time. Pat says, We need a way for Guillermo to discover that someone stole his money but it wasn't you Enrique. It wasn't US you mean, Patricia, he responds.

When the girls get back home everyone wants to know what happened. I, am Nora Vargas, brags Nora, with a big smile. Claudio, Consuelo, and Horacio look shocked. Leonardo just keeps eating some pieces of cantaloupe.

I’m out and about but read some of the comments. Just want to explain why Cholo confessed. On Monday, after he freaked at hearing (or not hearing) Yuri on the phone, he tried to call her back but the goon who grabbed and drugged Yuri answered the phone and threatened Cholo...told him he’d better confess to the murder and tell his little girlfriend to stop snooping around.

The news is out and reaction – decidedly mixed. I thought Claudio was the most surprised. Adelaida seemed the least. As she does not know Nora, her sweet reaction was understandable as she would have been happy with either girl.

Seeing Nora without her perpetual frown should have aroused suspicion, shouldn’t it?? She was practically levitating with self-satisfied glee as wealth and fortune were but moments beyond her grasp.

“I won't forget Patricia kicking us off the ranch and treating us like servants. Now I have more power than she does”. And here is the one good thing – Nora having the upper hand with Patricia.

If we were playing a drinking game and had to take a sip every time Ricardo told Val he loves her and every time she retorts he doesn’t, how toasted would we be?? Basta!

Rosamaria spends more time out of her office than in it. I wonder what her feverish little brain will come up with next.

Patty better come up with some way to “find” the missing money. Enrique may be enamored but I suspect he will not go to jail for her.

The most touching moment was Valentina’s sadness that she will be parted from her sister. One who never cared for her and to whom she means nothing.

“Leonardo just keeps eating some pieces of cantaloupe” made me smile. We know the repercussions of this lie will have far reaching and devastating consequences. I suspect we must be content with Nora lording it over Patricia.

The dynamic between Series and Junkets is interesting as we see two arrogant , peer driven people attempt to control and use each other . no true , selfless love there.

So many power struggles here.

Lucas is awful , but I do love the way he irritates his dear, old, secret dad. Ha ha ha

The juxtaposition between the gentle, caring, respectful souls Martin and Cholos ( Gonz???)'to the chest pumping men,contolling Serg, Mijica, Mo, and Lucas is fascinating .

"Chest pumping" was a great description of those you mentioned. Little if any kindness or sensitivity there.

Julieta's sway is not diminished by her footwear is it? I recall a distant past in which I was able to wear a lesser (3 plus inch) heel. However, I am unsure if I would have been able to master walking in the 5 inch plus heels of today. All those able to do so have my admiration. :)

TU AMOR. I agree with Diana, JoelD. A superb recap! And like Diana and Susanlynn I can hardly wait for Nora to give Patricia her comeuppance. She has already started with that remark about how she and Val had to wash Patricia's very sweaty clothes. Almost makes it worth Nora's scam succeeding, at least temporarily. Speaking of which, I wonder how long it will take for Nora's scam to be unmasked, though as I've said before, Guillermo deserves to have Nora as a daughter. It looks as if Ricardo will not be following Patricia's orders to court and marry Nora--but who knows? And yep, of course master manipulator Leo (he thinks) is the only person not surprised by Nora's "parentage."

Embajador S2 #25 part 1

Melek has left her parents in Grandpa’s room to think about how they will become a family. She tells them not to leave until they agree. [they could be stuck there until the last episode.]

When they get over the shock, Sancar says, we couldn't even talk to her. Nare replies, of course not, you became the accomplice of a little girl! How were we going to do it? Sancar is smiling at his daughter’s perseverance, well, what did you expect? My daughter always gets what she wants.

Nare is very serious, it won't be simple, right? Sancar answers, the break up was more difficult. Nare’s crying again and Sancar wipes her tears. Don’t cry, he says. Nare, who must always blame Sancar, says, this is happening because you let us go. Sancar asks, shouldn't I?

Nare sobs. I… I… never thought that you could let us go. You always wanted to hold us, and then I would be mad at you because you held us, and then I would have left here having fought with you. But you turned off my anger. And now that I'm not angry anymore, I have to cry.

Sancar sits her on the couch and he sits at her feet. He begins, I made you stay because I couldn't bear the idea of losing you. My heart suffered. When Melek’s heart stopped, mine started to beat. I understood that I should let you go. [In Turkish] I promised Allah that I would make a sacrifice. [they cut out a brief flashback to his promise at the mosque.]

You decided to sacrifice yourself, she asks? He answers, I tried to master what I have no right to. I asked for divine justice and Allah sent it to me. Nare tells him, I wish you would have asked for mercy instead of justice, maybe He would give me a reason to forgive you. Sancar will hold on to that thin thread of hope. He says, if deserve it, I know you will forgive, it is possible. Maybe one day I can hear you say my name.

Nare has no answer to that. She says, we must tell Melek, I'll go find her and try to explain it to her. Sancar stops her, wait. I want to be with her for a moment before you tell her. I would like us to be together and later we will tell her. Nare tells him he’s just postponing it. He just wants to see her happy a little longer. Now, Nare wipes a tear from Sancar’s face. He kisses her on the forehead and leaves. Nare talks to Grandpa’s pic, I will abandon your shield.

Oh boy, Gediz has taken Kman to the mountain. Kman is ticked, are we having a picnic before you pay me? Gediz tells him he wanted to play ball with Kman’s money. He points up to the mountain top and says, we have guests.

Kman looks up and it’s a shocker. Is that Akin?! Gediz replies, my condolences. Kman asks, did you give him to Sancar? Sancar will find out that I helped Akin! The hell with your business. Gediz tells him to shut up. Akin will die and Sancar will go to prison. What more do you want?

Kman is worried, you’re dreaming, Gediz, wake up! What kind of man are you? Sancar took him up there to throw him down! What will he do to me if he knows that I helped him?! Gediz says that’s exactly why he brought Kman here to see. He tells Kman, Sancar will kill you before going to prison, you should think about that and not the money.

Kman asks Gediz, weren't we partners? We were going to finish Sancar! Gediz replies, we are. So while Sancar is free, all my men are going to protect you. Kman says his own men can protect him. Gediz puts doubt into Kman’s mind, sure, you thought your men could deal with it. Now, if Sancar is capable of killing Akin and taking the risk of going to prison, do you really think those men will prevent him from finishing you?

Kman takes an anxious second to think and replies, what do you want in return? Gediz wants his help to stop Zehra from becoming president. Are you going to help me?

Embajador S2 #25 part 2

Meanie shows up at Kman’s house. She is desperate to find Akin. Ceylan says Kahraman finally got rid of that man. Meanie starts to panic, where did he go? Ceylan has no idea and she doesn’t seem to care. All she knows is Kahraman told him never come back. I’m glad, she tells Meanie, I never could get along with that guy.

Meanie is frantic, are you listening to yourself?! Akin was our last hope! I’ll go crazy! [already there, hon.] I'm going to lose my mind! What do we do now? We need a fake doctor. She lays it out for scatterbrained Ceylan, I will absolutely lose everything and they'll send you to prison with your baby, stupid! Kman arrives home.

Ceylan gets it now and begins to panic, too. I swear I hadn't thought about that, she says. She tells Meanie, we are two idiots, we can't deal with anything. How will we solve the problem with the child? Kman heard that—what problem do you mean? Ceylan gasps. Kman comes closer, what problem with the child?

Meanie thinks fast and answers, you kicked Akin out of this house. If Sancar finds him and finds out it was me who gave Melek the sedative, he will surely kill me. That's what we were talking about when you arrived. Ceylan confirms it, we were talking about Melek. Then she asks Kman, do you think Sancar would be able to kill his wife? Kman is annoyed. It’s none of your business, he tells Ceylan. Why are you worried about what happens to that woman? Ceylan answers, how will we solve our problems if we women do not share our concerns in a world that men dominate? Kman tells at her to shut up. She’s getting on his nerves.

Kman tells Meanie to get up and go home. Meanie pleads, Sancar will divorce me, I don’t even have a lawyer. If Akin can’t help me, can you? Meanie says she’s desperate. Kman won’t help and he asks her not to get Ceylan involved.

They cut a scene with Gediz going over the possible voting scenarios.

And they cut a scene with Sancar and Melek. She’s hatching her next plan to get her parents together, Sancar is trying to talk her out of it and Nare is spying on them. Nare runs off to the stable.

They edited this, too. Elvan and Zehra come after Nare. Elvan has told Zehra that Nare is leaving. Zehra stops before entering the stable. Elvan calls her out, are you afraid Kavruk is there? Just tell him you’re jealous and you found out about the house. Zehra denies her feelings and they proceed to the stable to find Nare.

Elvan and Zehra find Nare sitting inside the stable. Guess what? She’s crying. Zehra tells her, you can't leave. Nare responds, I can't stay. Elvan asks, what are you going to do? Nare says, I have no idea where I am. All I know is that I'm uprooted again. [remember when she said she was like a leaf in the wind?] Nare adds, [Turkish] despite the fact I know the pain of fatherlessness very well, I’m doing the same to my daughter. I’m leaving her without a home and a father.

Elvan says, Melek will come here to visit us, her father will visit her. Do you think you're going to separate Sancar from Melek? You’re the one separating from him and you have a good reason. Nare replies, in my daughter’s case is doesn’t matter whether I am right or wrong. I can't stay in this place, she continues to cry, besides not being able to forgive him, I'm really tired of being here. Everyone is prey for the other. The only thing I'm looking for is to live in peace by my daughter’s side.

Elvan assures Nare they will keep in touch by phone. Zehra agrees and she wants Nare to keep sharing her tactics with them. She says, even if you are far away we have keep giving the men a hard time.

Nare gets a text from Gediz: "when are you leaving?" Elvan says they invoked the devil. Nare texts back: "the day after tomorrow". Gediz: "send me a message when you arrive. I want to know your address so I don't look for you everywhere when I go".

Embajador S2 #25 part 3

Gediz comes to the dinner table. He confronts his sister, if you don't vote for me, Zehra will certainly win. Muge says she is determined to vote for Zehra. Refika is not happy and wants to know why she’s voting for Zehra. Gediz says, good question, mother. He reminds his mother that she wanted her shares to go to Muge and that was a big mistake.

Refika says to Muge, you are using my shares to turn against my son? Muge replies, no, I use them so that there is peace. Your son went crazy. It would be a big mistake to hand the company over to him. Zehra is a very smart girl, and that is why I will vote for her.
Gediz makes his case, they should stick together as a family like the Efeoglus do. He’s taking her vote for Zehra as a betrayal. Muge tells him, I’m not betraying you. Do you think I really want this? I’ m just trying to keep you from making a mistake that you will regret.

Gediz says that’s not going to happen, when have you seen me regret something? Muge knows he has regrets. She reminds him of the nights she listened to him crying like a child after the death of their father. She tells her brother, what I want is for you to never cry from regret again. So, I will not vote for you. Refika is ticked, she wants Gediz to be the president, not Zehra. She makes a facetious remark, If Menekse does not divorce Sancar, would you like her to be the president? A light bulb goes off in the dark corner of Gediz’ mind. He leaves the table.

Gediz calls Meanie. She’s very depressed. She sees happy families all around while she’s looking for a lawyer who will stop her divorce. He tells her he wants to see her, they need to talk. Meanie asks what’s it about? Gediz answers, maybe we can find a lawyer and we could pressure Sancar, but if you help me, maybe I could help you.

Melek tells her dad they can’t change the rules of their agreement. Sancar knows but he says it’s very difficult to convince her mother. Anyway, he reminds Melek their complicity ended because she told her everything without hesitation. Melek cops to it but adds it’s not like she did it on purpose. Sancar says she did it out of clumsiness. Melek is ready to move on to her next plan. Sancar says he’s been working all day long to convince her mother. He starts to lay the groundwork for the serious discussion when Halise interrupts.

Sancar, before the wedding you have to talk with your sister, she caused a problem. Sancar replies, what do you want me to say, mother? Should I tell her not to reveal that my mother convinces girls in exchange for favors? Ooops Ayse heard that and Sancar is sorry. Halise is annoyed, everyone will remain single, at the end of the day you're going to—Sancar interrupts Halise because she’s going to mention the “D” word. He sends Melek into the kitchen to get tea for Nare. Melek tells him he will have to take the tea to her mom. She winks.

Sancar sighs and tells his mother not to talk about the divorce in front of Melek. Halise wonders why. Melek will be happy about the divorce. Sancar says it’s not to let her get her hopes up. He drops the bomb—the day after tomorrow Nare and Melek will fly away from this mansion. I gave up custody. It's over, it's over.

Halise has mixed feelings. She’s happy Nare’s going but doesn’t like to see her son upset. She touches Sancar’s face and tells him, fate has the last word. Sancar says this is fate speaking, the legend of Nare has ended. Halise says, damn the legend! You know I always wanted her to go but, she'll fly again and you will suffer.

Sancar drops another bomb on Halise. The truth is that she never made me suffer, he says, it’s a lie. The alaca kuş did not fly, I pushed her away. I was very unjust. Halise stutters…that's why she… the cliff—she gasps. Sancar nods. [yep, your son did a bad thing, Halise.] Elvan calls out, the tea is ready! Sancar gets up and goes.

Embajador S2 #25 part 4

Sancar brings the tea to Nare out on the porch. Here's the tea, he tells her, my daughter made the tea. Nare jokes, calm down, you will spill it. Sancar tells her not to talk, he doesn’t want an accident to happen. So Nare shouts, Boo! And Sancar drops the glasses of tea. They have a good laugh over this. Until she points out that he did it on purpose. She knows he worked summers in the tea house when he was a kid and knows how to handle a tray. Sancar leaves to get more tea and Nare cries some more.

Gediz drops Meanie off at the mansion.

Sancar returns with new tea. She asks him if there is any news from the police. Did Akin say who gave her the sedative? Sancar replies not yet. Nare shifts the subject to Sancar’s “accomplice”. Did you manage to speak with her? Sancar says it was impossible. Nare worries, we have to tell Melek asap and I know that she will suffer a lot.

Sancar takes Nare’s hand and says, we will tell her. Meanie spots them together and heads on over. Sancar and Nare pull their hands apart. Meanie starts in with them, if your lover allows it, I would like to talk to you, Sancar. Sancar shushes Meanie, but Nare immediately gets in Meanie’s face, stop saying I am his lover, I am the mother of his daughter. Meanie accuses, you use your daughter to stay around my husband. When lovers have a child, you can't get rid of them. Sancar tells Meanie to shut up.

Nare puts Sancar on hold, she will take care of this. She asks Meanie, do you know the legend of the ambassador's daughter? Meanie replies, does it matter? Nare explains, do you know why? Tomorrow you will divorce this man, you will part and will become a stranger.
Nare looks at Sancar and continues, but I will always be the legend of the ambassador's daughter, and they will never be separated. Because in the legend they will not be together, but they will never be separated. [this is the title of the Turkish episode.] Nare drives it home, we will neither unite nor separate. We'll sing our own melody. So, I'm not anyone's lover. My name is Nare of the legend, the mother of an angel. Do not forget that. Sancar admires the legend as she walks away.

Meanie says it’s a useless legend. It's stupid. Sancar says, tell me what you want and then go pick up your things.

Flashback: Meanie remembers what Gediz told her, first you will be relentless, you're going to threaten not to give him a divorce, and I suggest you use the baby.

Meanie tells Sancar, what if tomorrow I tell the judge I don't want to get divorced because I'm pregnant, the judge won't divorce us, right? Sancar replies you’ll just be postponing it.

Flashback: Gediz says Sancar wants it to be a quick divorce, but you're going to tell him that ...

Meanie says, you will see that you can’t get rid of me as if I were a trash. [but you are, Meanie, you are trash!] One house is not enough. If you want us to divorce without problems tomorrow you will give me 5% of your shares. Sancar’s reply in Turkish: that's why there is a turku [folk song] written in her honor. You can only ask for shares. He leaves.

The Efeoglu siblings meet at Nare’s house (where Yahya is staying). Sancar tells them Meanie wants a 5% stake for the divorce. Zehra questions why she would want this. Yahya says what does she know about shares? Sancar thinks the same and thinks it is very strange. But he also thinks since she is having his child, it would be fair. They think a little more and Yahya says Gediz could be behind it. Sancar calls bingo! Menekse never would have thought of that, Gediz gave her the idea. Zehra asks why. For votes.

Embajador S2 #25 part 5

The siblings go over the expected votes and do the math. Sancar, Yahya, Zehra will vote for Zehra, so far so good. They are uncertain about Halise. Zehra says her mom doesn’t like the idea of her being president. Sancar asks about Muge. Zehra is sure Muge will vote for her because “the era of men ends, and the era of women begins”. Sancar concludes it’s safe to give the 5% and get happily divorced. He leaves.

Halise meets Nare at the stable, can we talk, daughter? Okay. Halise says she’s not going to congratulate her on getting custody. Nare understands no one wanted this. Halise starts, at first, I just wanted you to leave, I won’t lie. It will be very painful to be separated from my granddaughter. And as for you, Halise admits, I am very ashamed in front of you, daughter.

Nare starts to speak but Halise asks her not to interrupt. If you will leave and take my granddaughter at least let me speak with you sincerely. You know that Sancar will be divorced. I chose Menekse for Sancar. I made a mistake and it’s not easy to admit that you hurt your own son. Halise cries. I tortured you too, Nare. You got in the way so a bullet would not hurt my son, but out of pride, I couldn't even thank you.

Nare tries lighten things. She tells Halise, you softened on me for a while. You told me there were 40 crazy people in the mansion and I was 41. They laugh. Halise continues, the other night I saw you at Kavruk's party. I observed your attitude, and I said to myself, "she is a true Efeoglu." But this is not possible because you are very angry with my son. Nare cries.

Halise relates, last night Sancar told me that the legend was false, you didn't fly away. It was Sancar who threw you out. Halise sobs. If I told you now... don't go ... I know it would be too late. I can only ask you one thing ... don't go with hate in your heart for me, please Nare. I was a foolish woman, I couldn't understand, but forgive me, daughter. Nare forgives her! Halise is relieved and they hug.

Kman and Gediz have brought Dudu to talk to Yahya. Zehra steps outside with her brother so they must wait until she leaves. Gediz asks Kman to call Halise in the meantime.

Kman begins, this is Kahraman speaking, Kahraman Boz. What do you want? Kman replies, a friendly warning. Your daughter wants the presidency. Halise asks, are there problems? Kman says she shouldn’t be president because she murdered his wife. Gediz looks troubled by this but doesn’t stop it. Halise is angry. What killer? Don’t say any more nonsense, how can a girl be a murderer? My daughter is not a murderer! My daughter was disabled on that damned day! Kman answers, yes, and on that damn day my wife died, right?

He tells Halise to convince her daughter not to be the president. If you can’t convince her, I am not responsible for what I will do. Halise asks, what are you planning to do? Kman replies, ask Muge, she will tell you. That got Gediz’ attention! Halise responds, how dare you threaten to kidnap my daughter, you bastard! If Sancar leaves you alive, I'll kill you myself! Kman warns Halise, Sancar shouldn't find out, otherwise Zehra and Melek will pay for that. It’s a pity, your daughter and your granddaughter will suffer the same. Gediz grabs Kman by the throat and Halise hangs up.

Kman asks Gediz, what you gonna do, strangle me? You wanted to scare her and that’s what I did. I’d scare your sister, too, but she's already scared. Gediz says he won't get his hands dirty, he will give Kman to Sancar. Kman removes Gediz’ hand from his neck. He directs Dudu to go to Yahya and get more votes.

Yahya thinks it’s Zehra coming back. Surprise, it’s Dudu! Yahya’s not happy to see her. What are you doing here? Dudu pushes her way in and says she has news. If you are going to talk about me divorcing and marrying you, don’t bother, he says.

Dudu says that’s already in the past. I came to tell you that you will vote for Gediz and not for Zehra. What are you talking about, he asks? You heard, she answers, you will even get let your mother to vote for Gediz, because if Zehra wins, I'll tell your mother that you slept with me. See you, boss.

And with that, Dudu leaves, and we are out.

SpanProf, Guillermo does seem to deserve Nora. If he was even a tad bit upset it wasn't Valentina, it wasn't visible. I think Valentina would have been miserable whatever the outcome as she wants to be the child of the parents she knew and loved. She will be equally as unhappy I fear when the truth is revealed.

Yes, it will be interesting to see if and how Ricardo pursues Nora, who thinks she is desired by every man crossing her path :)

Ricardo seems fairly fervent in his declarations of love toward Valentina so suspect he is going to become more desperate quickly as his golden goose prepares for her nuptials.

I can't believe how Gediz is stabbing San in the back by going to Kman and Meaner-Than -Ever. Awful. There is no loyalty in this show.

Kman is crazy. He keeps beating the same old drum about two young girls being responsible for his wife's death when she drove into them .

So..what is happening to Akin on that mountain with San's man?

The plot goes around and around .

Meanie gets Meaner and holds on tighter , and now she has someone with a brain helping her.

This show is torture to watch . Melek doesn't deserve this life.

Nare's words to Meanie seem to foreshadow the end ...she and San will never be reunited , but they will never be apart. This reminds me of the way a person feels when he\she loses his\her soulmate.

I don’t have much time to comment but I do agree with SusanLynn that this plot is going round and round...not much progress has been made.

Gediz has turned into a hateful person while Hellise is not so hellish anymore. Her conversation with Nihan seemed very sincere. Now if she can only make that change with her plan with Kavruk.

And dondi356 you are so right that this is a romcom compared to Hercai. I am finding it very difficult to watch the protag being hit from all sides so unmercifully.

SI NOS DEJAN #19 Part 1

Just the facts tonight . . .

No matter how Yuri protests Cholo’s confession to the murder, he insists coldly, politely and deliberately that he killed Simón. He lied because he didn’t want to be in jail. Yuri says she knows that he is doing it to protect her.

When Yuri leaves the jail she runs into another lawyer from the firm. It is Roberto who Moisés has already reassigned Cholo’s case to.

Moisés informs Sergio that Yuri was drugged and tied up while at a client’s house all by herself and that he rescued her. Cholo the client himself was the one who notified him about the attack on Yuri from jail. Moisés still doesn’t understand that part of it. An upset Sergio leaves to go talk to Yuri.

Alicia is with Miranda in the hospital. All Miranda wants to know is if she is getting back together with her father. Yaya comes to visit.

Yaya confesses to Alicia that she knew about Miranda's head wound but didn't tell her because Miranda begged her not to so as not to bother Alicia with more at this time. Alicia is angry, head injuries can be dangerous. Yaya offers to resign. Alicia says no but now more than ever she has to help her look after the kids. Yaya asks her not to mention this to Sergio. Alicia won’t.

Sergio storms in asking Alicia if she knew what happened to Yuri yesterday. Of course, she doesn't know. He starts to blame her for not knowing what is going in with the kids again.

Yuri is at home thinking about what Cholo told her. She still cannot believe it.

Cholo wants Azote to teach him how to survive in prison since he has been there for a good amount of time as Cholo is going to be. Azote says you have to be a wolf so the rest of the pack doesn’t eat you.

Sergio thinks that all of his kids’ problems are due to the fact that Alicia threw him out of the house. Alicia reminds him why he isn’t living in the house. He thinks he needs to come back home to take care if the disaster that it has become. He wants her to forgive him and for things to go back like they were.

Martín drops Sofía off at school in his newly repaired car. He tells her that her wish for him and her mother to be back together is a beautiful thing but that they broke up for a reason. She has statistics to prove that it can happen.

Martín remembers meeting Alicia outside of the school.

Carlota opens the door to her home without checking who is there. It is Quique and a friend who are in the mood for a home invasion. They push their way inside, hold her at gunpoint and take all of the electronics, valuables and a pink cap. She is not injured.

Gonzo tries to stop the repo guys from taking his car. He finds out that his father made the payment and since he is the owner, he is having the car delivered where he wants it.
 

DEJAN Part 2

Alicia cannot see Sergio moving back in after he devastated their family. She adds it will never ever be the same as before. He admits he made a big mistake.She did not deserve what he did to her. It will be no use because the only thing that matters to him is his own well being. She can’t go back even though she is terrorized of being alone at her age. She hears what he says but cannot believe him. She knows he is still in love with that woman. She is in no mood to fight for their relationship. They both cry as she talks about marriage allowing you to grow old with somebody and how that isn't happening with them. Sergio asks that she let him back for their kids’ sake if not their own.

Fabián shows Julieta her excellent ratings from the night before but reminds her that the audience wants to see Sergio every night. She reminds him that she is ambitious and wants her own show. He reminds her that Sergio isn’t happy with what she did. She couldn’t care less. She is looking out for her own career.

Martín is at work to meet with Sergio but Sergio isn’t there. Diablo says he must be at the hospital. Martín is ready to quit. Carlota calls Martín to let him know about the home invasion. He is on his way.

Roberto tells Moisés that Cholo’s case is the easiest in his life. Cholo confessed to the mirder of Simón Guerra.

As Karina is cleaning her gun in the locker room, a very self-satisfied Mujica comes to tell her that he was right all along about Cholo: Cholo confessed to the murder.

Facundo gets out his old badge and his gun. He hides them from Maruja.

Yuri gets upset with her friend when she suggests that Yuri is in love with Cholo.

The doctor tells Alicia, Sergio and the family that Miranda is doing well and can go home in a couple of days. Miranda argues. Sergio says she is staying.Eva thinks that is what kids need: their father’s authority.

Nicole makes fun of Ariana hanging around with her weird friend. Culebra overhears that her friend is in the hospital because of an accident. He asks what kind of accident. Ariana says she hit her head.

Facundo is back at the market taking more photos with his phone and calling attention to himself. He is quickly noticed by the local thugs one more time. They decide that he need to be taught a lesson.

The police question Carlota about the home invasion. Martín arrives on the scene. She tells him what happened.

Quique brings Luna a laptop from Carlota’s and the pink cap. Quique admits to his mother he didn’t buy the items. He says he won them in a bet. When she doesn’t believe him, he reminds her that they all would be starving if it weren't for him.

Moisés confronts Yuri about her going to see Cholo even though he had taken her off the case. She argues her position saying she doesn’t believe Cholo’s confession and her intuition is telling her that there is more than meets the eye. Moisés is not convinced. She is not giving up.

Facundo is attacked from behind as he stands recording his observations out loud about the market. Gun shots are exchanged. Je shoots one of his attackers but gets shot himself in the arm.

Karina calls Martín to tell him about Cholo’s confession.

Sergio and Alicia sit in Miranda’s hospital room and reminisce about her when she was a little girl. Alicia asks Sergio if he is taking his pills and watching his diet. Sergio flatters Alicia about her cooking. Theyhave a good laugh about Rebeca being tired of him. Je grabs her hand and tells her that he loves her and that will never change. Miranda overhears the familial conversation, sees her parents seated together and is happy.

 

DEJAN Part 3

Gonzo appears at Fedora’s wanting to talk. . . She is not happy to see him because Samuel is there. She tries to explain to Samuel that her ex Orlando is going to get Gonzo a job. The guys almost get into a fist fight. After Gonzo leaves, all Samuel can do is smirk.

Alicia calls Carlota to come in for an appointment. She finds out about the home invasion. Carlota will be in touch when she is seeing patients again.

Martín is with Carlota and Sofía. Carlota does not feel secure sleeping at her place alone even if the locks have been changed. Martín says they can come stay at his place.

Quique’s mom Marcela is worried about the danger he is putting himself in. She asks if he thinks she is proud of the way he is living his life. He knows she isn’t but his dad El Toro would be. As a matter of fact, they would be having a couple of beers together.

Martín brings Carlota and Sofía to his home and his puppy. He tells them to make themselves at home but he has to go to work. Sofía says the robbers achieved her goal faster than she did: getting her family living together under one roof. Carlota and Martín look uncomfortable.

Maruja finds Fausto with his bleeding arm sitting on the couch.

Sergio arrives at the house. He yells at Yuri for how she handled the Cholo case. She isn't hearing any more criticism. She warns him not to be like Moisés and look down on her. He apologizes. She is trying to do things the best way she can like Sergio taught her. He promises her he will be home soon. A pleased Eva spies on them.

Julieta wants Chiquis to find out what hotel Sergio is staying at. Chiquis doesn’t want to deal with Emiliano because she doesn’t want him to think she is interested in him.

Martín is back at work. As he is chatting with Diablo, Sergio storms in announcing that Martín is fired and he needs to get out!

Jarifa, although last night’s episode was riveting, it paled in comparison to your marvelous summary. What an excellent retelling of all of the exciting events!

“It is Quique and a friend who are in the mood for a home invasion” was perfectly descriptive. Devoid of a conscience, Quique is determined to claim what he believes he is entitled to without thought to victim or consequence. His ineptness was evidenced by him giving Luna that hot pink hat – unique and highly visible.

My heart sank when I read “She can’t go back even though she is terrorized of being alone at her age”. She has children whom she loves, devoted friends, a career (if she chooses) and wealth most would only dream of. How disappointing she (or any woman) feels a void if they don’t “have” a man. For most, age brings self- sufficiency. And strength.

As soon as Nicole spewed her poison, we saw a beautiful young woman transformed into a gargoyle. Even more disappointing was Culebra smiling, going along with her rather than being repulsed and reproaching her. If Culebra is attracted to “that” Miranda should look elsewhere.

“She reminds him that she is ambitious and wants her own show”. Somewhere, Eve Harrington is smiling.

Karina knows Cholo is innocent. I have a feeling Moises does too. At least Yuri realizes the truth.

I fear Cholo is stiffening his spine and preparing for a long jail stint.

Facundo is a danger to himself. I hope Maruja talked him into going to the hospital.

“Sofía says the robbers achieved her goal faster than she did: getting her family living together under one roof. Carlota and Martín look uncomfortable”. I am too. Although I have to say, I can’t help but wish this family reconciles. Martin likely feels differently.
Wonderful to see Nelson, however briefly.

One would have thought that Facundo had learned his lesson after his first rumble at the market. Talk about calling attention to himself again and leaving his back exposed.

Here is hoping Alicia can keep up the resistance to the pressure from the family to let Sergio back in.

You are exactly right that it is foolhardy to let anyone into your house unannounced. What happened to small panes of glass or even peepholes?

Watching Facundo, it seems as though he is but a former shell of himself. Not only careless as you noted but seemingly without a plan, just trying to see something untoward. What does he hope to accomplish.

"Gonzo was far from charming showing up like a dog at Fedora’s. The bloom is off Fedora, too. The less of them the better" was well said. Gonzo's acting territorial was absurd. And dangerous. So dissappointd in Fedora.

I have a feeling that pink hat is going to be an important clue in the robbery. You could tell Luna liked it as she put it on immediately. Marcela must know that Kique's haul was illegal. But will she do anything about it??

I'm really glad that the Gonzo/Fedora/Samuel scene was in one of my doze offs. Like you and Diana, I'm very disappointed in these characters and can certainly do without them.

ITA about the pink cap being an important element to "outing" Kique. If you ask me, tha family could probably do better without him.

Diana, "Facundo is a danger to himself." I could no tbelieve this experienced cop would continue getting in harm's way without any back up. I doubt that Maruja can convince him of anything and I;m sure Facundo would refuse to get medical help because it was a gunshot wound and he would have to report it.

Embajador S2 #26 part 1

This opening scene has a slight edit. Nare watches for a minute at the kitchen door as Elvan and Melek sit on the floor rolling out dough on boards to make manti (small stuffed dumplings, yum). Elvan sings, Melek follows Elvan’s motions, and of course weepy Nare wipes a tear. [so sweet] Melek goes to use the bathroom and Elvan and Nare talk.

Nare tells Elvan, Halise apologized to me. Elvan is surprised, are you serious? Did hell break loose? What did you say? Even more surprising, Nare tells Elvan, I forgave her, even if I can’t forgive her son, I felt that I had to forgive someone, so I did. I felt I don't have resentments, I feel capable of forgiving everything that happened, but I don't know what to think. She asks Elvan, did I lose my mind?

Elvan replies, no, of course not. Forgiving someone is very good, because it is good for you. Then she gives Nare some advice, but ... for my mother-in-law, love and hate are always unstable. You know Melek will come to visit, better not trust her. Nare asks, what do you want to tell me?

Elvan says, Halise’s compass is her son Sancar, she is not even aware of it, but everything she says and everything she does always has to do with him. If you make Sancar feel good, you're the best. But do not forget, if you make her son feel bad, you will be her worst enemy. Elvan adds, I don't know, maybe that's just the way mothers are, I never had a mother and a son… maybe that's normal, I don't know.

You know how much I love him, Elvan, but I'm devastated. Elvan sobs and tells Nare, do it, your heart doesn't deserve to be broken. Go.

Sancar arrives at court. He’s on the phone with Nedim, did Akin speak? Nedim replies, no sir, he is afraid you will throw him, and he has not spoken. Sancar says, tell him it doesn't matter if he talks or not, I'm going to throw him into the void. He tells Nedim if Akin doesn’t speak he will have to pressure Gulsiye.

Sancar and his lawyer meet up with Meanie, her lawyer and Necdet outside the courtroom. Sancar’s lawyer hands them the divorce agreement. She’s getting the house, we will pay for the food and we will give her 5% of the shares. If you accept, you can sign, and we will hand it in.

Meanie’s lawyer looks it over and it’s good. He gives it to Sancar to sign. Sancar signs. He hands the paperwork to Meanie and says, won't you ask Gediz? Does this suit him, too? Meanie and her lawyer look guilty. Meanie asks Sancar, are you sure? We will have a baby. If you tell me that—Sancar interrupts her, Menekse ... you know it and so do I. I just want to be with one person in my life. Meanie signs. Sancar pulls the shells out of his pocket and looks at them.

Song plays, Iki Keklik, and we get a montage:

Melek drawing and Nare fretting over her decision… Nare looks at the Efe family photo album… Sancar is distracted in court, he stares at the shells…. Sancar is finally divorced…. Sancar buries the shells at the bottom of the “Sancarin Naresi” tree, he looks up at Nedim and Akin, then leaves.

That evening, Sancar comes to Nare out on the balcony. It’s over, he tells her, if everything were different ... I would have come to see you with a ring, you know that, right? She knows and says, let's go find Melek. We’ll tell her that you got divorced before someone else tells her. Melek appears at that moment, and she happily says, dad, you got your divorce? Was that what you were hiding from me? Now will we be a family?

Sancar tries to explain… Melek doesn’t let him speak. She pulls him down to his knees, gives him a hug and says, I appreciate it, thank you very much, I already forgave you. I will never leave you. And she adds with kisses, never, never, never. She pushes her mom and dad together, now you guys hug and I will go tell everyone that we will be a family. She runs off shouting for everyone. How are Nare and Sancar going to tell Melek?

Melek runs into the living room, dad got divorced. Halise is sitting there with Ayse. Melek shouts, Grandma, dad's already divorced! Elvan, dad got divorced! We can finally be a family. Nare and Sancar enter, so do Zehra and Elvan. Halise wishes her son all the best.

Before they take Melek upstairs, Halise asks Sancar if he can find Kavruk because Ayse insists on leaving. And speak of the devil, Kavruk shows up with a wedding officiant. He tells Ayse, get ready, we're going to have a civil wedding. The only ones happy are Ayse and Halise. Zehra looks mighty upset.

Right before the wedding, Sancar speaks to Kavruk outside. He asks him, what the hell are you doing? I'm getting married, Kavruk answers. Sancar is ticked, that woman is getting married in exchange for a house, what can't you understand?! Kavruk understands. He tells Sancar, I have to know my place. What place is that?

Kavruk explains, tomorrow Zehra will be the president of the company, I am a servant only worth one house. I didn't know where my place was, and I set my gaze on a star. I can only marry Ayse who marries me to get a house. My place is with Ayse.

Sancar shouts, give me patience! You want to punish yourself by marrying Ayse? Kavruk replies, what punishment, Sancar? You have to understand something, he tells his Efe, as long as I love Zehra, your mother won't let me into the mansion. If you go to jail tomorrow, she will throw me out of here. Didn't you entrust your family to me? If they kick me out of the mansion, how am I going to protect them? Gediz, Kahraman, they are all enemies. Tell me how will I protect them?

Sancar tells him they will find a way. Kavruk asserts, there is no other way, and if you try to stop me, tomorrow I'll take Ayse to the civil office, and get married there. If you are going to be a witness you can attend the wedding, otherwise ... get out of my way Sancar Efe. Kavruk leaves and Sancar shouts after him, do you want me to witness how you will spoil your life?

The mansion has assembled for the wedding of Kavruk and Ayse. Zehra is watching from afar. Halise has to order two employees to serve as witnesses. The officiant starts, welcome. Both have expressed their wish of getting married. Now I will ask you once again to reaffirm your intention.

Nare flashes back to watching Sancar marry Meanie.

The officiant asks, Ayse, daughter of Gultekim, do you accept of your own free will Kavruk, son of Davut as your rightful husband? Ayse happily answers, I accept. Applause from some of the guests.

Nare notices Zehra watching.

You, Kavruk, son of Davut, do you accept of your own free will, Ayse, daughter of Gultekim as your rightful wife? Kavruk hesitates then finally says, I accept. Applause from some of the guests.

Nare tells Sancar that Zehra is looking from where I saw you when you said yes. Sancar looks. Don’t let them do it. Don’t let it happen, they will suffer like us. You have to stop it. It’s now time to sign the book. Sancar thinks back to when he signed.

Sancar gets up and goes to Zehra. He tells her, they haven’t signed yet, get him off that table, Zehra. He loves you, please don't leave him there. Zehra summons her courage and walks over to the table. Kavruk is about to sign the book. Zehra tells Kavruk, don’t sign. Halise appeals, Zehra, don't do this. Zehra tells Kavruk, I know you love me, you don't love Ayse.

Ayse asks Kavruk, what is she saying? Kavruk can’t answer. A stunned and humiliated Ayse gets up from the table and walks away. Kavruk is overwhelmed, he gets up and walks away, too. Elvan and Nare go to Zehra to support her. Nare smiles at Sancar. [Doesn’t it seem that every happy event at the mansion ends in a disaster? Although this was a good disaster.]

Nare and Sancar are getting Melek ready for bed. The time has come to have the talk. They can’t put it off any longer. Sancar starts but Melek interrupts him, dad ... if Kavruk is in love with Zehra, why would he marry Ayse? Sancar fumbles for an answer, ah ... uh ... because he didn't know that Zehra loved him and he had no hope. Melek asks, why? Did Zehra hide it from Kavruk?

Nare answers, actually, Kavruk hid it, he did not tell Zehra. Melek thinks that’s nonsense. If he had told her, Ayse wouldn't be sad, Zehra would not be sad, and Kavruk wouldn't be sad either. Why did he keep it from her?

Nare tries to explain, uh ...because sometimes it is very difficult to tell the truth… some truths ... Sancar interjects, they are painful. Nare continues, there are things we hide from our loved ones because we don't want them to suffer when they find out. Sancar adds, sometimes we don't know how to say it because it's also painful to say.

Melek thinks that hiding it is as bad as telling a lie. You must say it even if it hurts. There’s the opening and Sancar takes it. We have something to tell you, he says to his daughter. She asks, why do you want to abandon me?! Why do you want to abandon me?! He holds his daughter even tighter. An anguished Sancar assures his daughter, no, no, I will never abandon you, I will never leave you. He begs her, please don't break my heart. Do you think it's easy give up on you? This is very painful, Melek, please do not do this. Melek shouts at him, then why are you leaving us?! She wails, why?! Why?! Why?!

Sancar tells her it’s for her mother. He sits her down. She turns away from him and continues to sob. Sancar explains, your mother doesn't like to be here because of me. Because I abandoned her. I married another woman, and I will have another child. It's hard for your mother. Melek knows.

Sancar continues, although your mother has tried to forgive me, she can’t do it. She has stayed for you, even though it's difficult for her, she wants you to be with me. Melek turns to look at her father, she will stay? Sancar says she will. Do you remember that we are accomplices, he asks? We should ... protect your mother, right? Melek replies, because she has always protected us, right? Sancar puts his hand out for Melek to take it. She takes it and he lifts her up into his lap. They both cry. [this is so heartbreaking and little Beren is absolutely amazing!]

Sancar and Melek return to Grandpa’s room. Nare is unpacking her suitcase and immediately rushes to her daughter. Melek, come my angel, I'm so sorry. She hugs and kisses Melek. I'm so sorry, daughter, we're not going anywhere, forgive me, we will not leave. We will be a new family, we will be the family that you always wanted, okay?

Melek leaves her mother’s arms and goes to pack the suitcase. She says, we must go. Sancar looks proudly at his daughter. Why, Nare asks? Melek replies, because we are already a family. Dad and I talked about it. We can also be a family in different houses. Now I will have two houses, she explains, but only one family.

Nare smiles at Sancar and he wipes a tear. Melek puts her hand out to her dad, and he comes to sit on the bed with them. A big family hug. Melek asks, could the three of us sleep together tonight? Sancar pulls his two girls into the bed on either side of him and holds them close. [it should always have been like this.]

Uni cut some stuff. First cut scene. Sancar arrives at the grove office. Zehra has spent the night there, she had to get away from Halise. Elvan is there with her. Zehra says she feels like an abandoned bride but she’s not a bride. Sancar tells her, if you want to be the bride of this stupid Kavruk, that is what I resolve. She doesn’t know, she’s still in shock. But knowing that her brother supports her is priceless.

Second cut scene. Kavruk returns to the mansion, a little disheveled but still in his wedding suit. Meanwhile, Nare calls Melek for breakfast. They are the only ones in the mansion. Everyone is out at the grove office for the big vote. Melek wishes her dad was there because they have the mansion all to themselves and they could imagine they are a family in their own house. Kavruk shows up at the breakfast table and he tells Nare, it’s hard to come and go from this mansion. The three share a big hug.

Sancar calls the meeting to order, let's get started with the vote. Let Zehra be the president, he says, so we will save companies from Gediz’ evil.

The lawyer explains whoever gets more than 50% will lead the company. Gediz votes for himself. Zehra votes for herself. Muge votes for Zehra and so does Sancar. Next up is Halise. She hears Kman’s voice, convince your daughter or else. Halise votes for Gediz. Not entirely unexpected. Gediz is pleased and Zehra is disappointed. Next is Yahya. He hesitates for a moment and then casts his vote for Gediz. Muge can’t believe it.
Zehra is shocked, just yesterday Yahya said he would vote for her. Sancar looks surprisingly calm. Elvan spits in Yahya’s direction. Gediz claims, it’s a nice surprise.

Now Gediz and Zehra are tied with 47.5%. The remaining 5% belonging to Menekse will determine everything. The lawyer asks, Menekse Yilmaz? Gediz asks, Menekse Yilmaz? Meanie looks at the board with a smug smile. Everyone waits for her vote.
Sancar asks, Menekse? One moment. He calls someone into the office. It’s a shocker, it’s Gulsiye. Elvan gasps and Meanie quietly panics. Gediz asks will Gulsiye vote too? Sancar replies, no, she is going to confess something.

Sancar asks Gulsiye, why did you leave the mansion? Gulsiye answers, you fired me. Gasps from the attendees. Why did I fire you, Gulsiye? She answers, because I didn't want to tell you who gave the pills to Melek. More gasps. Gediz sits up in his seat. Meanie looks ready to implode. Sancar asks, are you now going to confess who tried to murder my daughter, Gulsiye? The camera scans everyone’s faces before the big reveal. Gulsiye answers—Menekse. Big gasps as everyone’s eyes turn to Meanie.

Gediz whispers, how stupid. Elvan wants to know why Gulsiye hid it until now. Sancar tells Elvan that’s for later. Sancar asks Meanie to come with him. They step outside.
Sancar points outside the gate, do you see the policemen? Do you see who is with them? Necdet is with the policemen. Meanie realizes she’s finished. Sancar tells Meanie, if I hear anything other than Zehra's name when casting your vote ... you will be arrested for trying to murder my daughter and your brother will be the witness. Do you understand? She nods. They go back inside.

Meanie casts her vote for Zehra Efeoglu. A defeat for Gediz, and Sancar smiles at his ex-partner. It is confirmed, Zehra Efeoglu will be the new president of the board of directors. Sancar congratulates Zehra and she thanks him. Sancar signals Meanie to step outside again.

Meanie thinks Sancar’s still going to hand her over to the police. He turns to her, you tried to murder my daughter. He moves in close and gives her the death stare, listen, as soon as my child is born ... I will punish you in such a way that ... you will beg me to hand you over to the police.

And we are out!

TU AMOR ep 48 part 1

Adelaida calls Helena to tell her the DNA results. She tells her how excited and happy Nora was to find out. Helena asks her how Valentina reacted. She had mixed feelings. On the one hand, excitement to see her sister happy but on the other, well, sadness that they won't live together. Adelaida says Nora wanted to move in right away but will be there tomorrow. Wow, she doesn't waste any time, Helena says, I hope it goes better for her than it did for me. Surely he'll know to treat her with the attention and love that he didn't give me.

At Consuelo's house, Camila asks Nora if it was really her. That's what the DNA results said and I'm leaving here tomorrow; finally. It will be OK, you'll see, Connie assures her. Obviously, says Nora, I knew this environment was not for me. I'm going to where I belong. Valentina tells her not to be ungrateful. You, thought the same thing, Nora retorts. I didn't think the same thing, and excuse me, to Consuelo because the only thing we received here is kindness. Valentina accompanies Claudio outside. Camila asks Nora when she'll be going. This is for the trash, Nora says, not for me, and throws another item to the floor. I'm not throwing it in the trash, says Val. Then give it to Camila or to Mina for when she grows up, Nora answers. I'm not going to wear anything from here. Tonight I'm starting my new life as a millionaire. Val says what hurts her the most is that Nora hasn't even thought about how they'll be apart from each other. Nora says, well fate has made me Guillermo's daughter. If I were his daughter, I wouldn't leave here, Val says, my family is here, and I would never abandon you. Either way, that's life, says Nora. Guillermo kindly tells Valentina that he wants her to know that this is her house too. She can come any time she wants and can stay with her sister if she desires. She hugs him gratefully.

Hector and Helena are having Birria (Mexican stew) at a rustic looking street restaurant in the barrio. He asks her if she feels uncomfortable being there. She laughs and says no, she feels great being there. But she feels strange with everything going on with Nora. She doesn't know how to describe it. You were hoping it was Valentina right?, says Hector. Truthfully, yes, she says, deep down it hurts that my father didn't show the same interest in reconciling with me. Maybe if Valentina was my sister it would hurt less. Between us, I don't like Nora. Me either, says Hector, last night she told us she was going to your father's, to her room in his mansion. I'm sure, Helena says, she's always been one to take advantage since I've known her. Well, it's an advantage that you won't have to see her as often anymore, he says. Helena says she's sure Nora won't be coming back to the shop.

Somehow Patricia has a recording of the altercation at the bar with the police. She is looking at the scene of Hector resisting arrest. Perfect, she says, thanks a lot, she tells the person that sent it to her. Whenever you want, he tells her, but don't forget the transfer please. She calls Hector and he reluctantly answers. It's going to have to remain a secret between them. This is a sign that life unites them despite everything. Oooof, Hector thinks leaning back on his cab.

How beautiful my house is, says Nora as Adelaida shows her around. I love it. I imagine such a big house is a lot of work to clean, huh? she asks Lucha. In a little bit I'll give you the menu of what I have to eat. I'm a famous model now and I don't have the luxury of getting fat. Can you help me with my chair?, Adelaida asks Nora. It's a rule of courtesy. Put it behind me please. Of course, says Nora, rolling her eyes. And my papi sits here?, she asks and plops down in his seat. I feel like I'm in a mansion like artists and famous people. I'm going to put life into it. I don't doubt it, says Adelaida smiling. Nora wants to see her room and drags Adelaida by the hand. Hija, Adelaida says, I can't run or jump anymore. Later, while skipping around the house, Nora encounters Patricia having a drink behind the bar and says Hola. Patricia tells her not to forget where she comes from and the class of person she is. Bite your tongue, Patricia, Nora responds, you're the same as me, and it doesn't matter where you come from, it matters where you are. Well, you came to the right place, Pat tells her, because I'm going to make sure your life is hell. Well be careful, Nora warns, that in this hell, the devil doesn't show up for you.

Patricia and Enrique are having coffee at an outside cafe. They're discussing the money for the orphanage. It's in your account she tells him. An account that I opened because you promised me that we were in this together, Enrique tells her, and a joint account with your name would arrouse suspicions. I accepted everything because you had the idea. I didn't force you did I?, she asks. I have nothing to do with the bank. But I already transferred a part to you, Enrique says, you have to withdraw the money that belongs to the orphanage. I'd like to but I can't, she tells him, I have important expenses and I'm not going to touch my money. Don't do this to me, Enrique begs. I don't know anything, says Pat, you did it, you made a mistake and there are consequences. Don't blame me for being incompetent. It's easy, take the amount from your account and return it to the foundation. I don't understand why you make life so complicated. For love!, he says, slapping the table. I trusted you for love, but now that you're showing how you're going to play your cards, I warn you not to leave me alone in this, is that clear? I'm not leaving you alone. You made a mistake, now fix it. Better call me when you resolve everything because you're in an impossible mood, she says as she leans in toward him. She leaves him completely frustrated.


 

TU AMOR ep 48 part 4

Camila is at home when the doorbell rings. She gets the door and it's Helena. She wants to know why Camila hasn't come back to the shop. Camila saw the videos of the show and the models and she wants to be strong but it hurts her to know that she's never going to be the same as she was before. Of course you won't be the same as before, Helena tells her, you're much better. Those models did well because you taught them. The day that you defended me in front of the press demonstrated how strong you are. I'm sorry for what happened to you but more sorry that you're not on my team. You think you're worth less because of your scar? You're wrong, any boy would like you and be happy. We create fashion for women. I want people to see that our designs are for everyone, that's why I need you for fashion week in Madrid. Camila becomes excited and thanks Helena for always helping her.

Majo asks Valentina if she thinks her sister will be returning to the shop. She hopes so, Nora always dreamed of being a model, but right now she's dazzled by everything. Claudio shows up with the invitation for fashion week and evryone goes crazy with excitement. The mood is ruined when Ricardo shows up asking for a second chance with Valentina again. He no sooner asks then passes out on the floor. He comes to but experiences searing pain in his head. Doctora Rosamaria is at Patricia's looking for him when she gets a call from Valentina. Ricardo shouts that he doesn't want to go to the hospital. He wants to go home. Rosamaria says she'll wait for him there. She tells Valentina not to leave him alone and Val agrees to go with him. Claudio goes back to the shop to find Leonardo. He tells him to go to customs right now to pick up Helena's lace shipment. He tells him not to come back without it.

Nora and Adelaida have gone on a shopping spree and are enjoying drinks at a table. Nora's phone rings and it's Yolanda Pratas. Yolanda says she wants to speak to her. Nora says yes, she thinks she can see her. She wonders how Yolanda knew her new name. She's only been Nara Vargas for one day. Probably because she's a famous influencer, Nora thinks. Toast my fame she tells Adelaida and they clink their glasses.

A woman named Vivian is standing in Yolanda's office. Yolanda says she had to take a call and asks, Where were we? Oh yes, the interview you did with Helena Vargas. Yes, Vivian says, she's a great designer. She's not better than me and you know it, Yolanda responds. I'll remind you that she does nothing more than steal the designs of beginners. It seems strange that your magazine would interview her. We'll also be interviewing you, by the way, says Vivian, during fashion week in Madrid after Helena's cover page, yours will come out. No dear, Yolanda says, standing up to be more intimidating. First you present my interview, and later Helena's. No, Yolanda, responds Vivian, how could you think that? Helena's cover page is ready. You can stop the edition can't you?, Yolanda asks. What do you think? I ordered the printing, Vivian says. Then you can order it stopped. Schedule my interview, Yolanda says, and tell me what time I should be ready and divine. Have a nice day my friend, Yolanda says and waves her hand toward the door.
 

TU AMOR ep 48 part 5

Rosamaria gives Ricardo an injection for the pain but tells him it's the last time she'll be coming to see him. He doesn't follow her instructions. She says she saved his life once but now he won't let her help him. She doesn't want to waste her time on someone that won't take care of himself. Patricia tells Valentina she must be happy. Her brother almost died in front of her. Val says of course she's not happy, she's worried, but she can't change what happened and she can't do anything for him. Pat says she can, but she doesn't want to. She says Val just wants to have him at her feet. Pat says she thinks Valentina enjoys that he begs her, that he humbles himself, that he suffers for her. She says that if Val hadn't harassed him, he wouldn't have gotten tangled up with her and he wouldn't have had that terrible accident. You forced him to escape with you. Think what you want, says Val, Ricardo knew what was between us, and that's enough. Rosamaria tells them that Ricardo will not survive another relapse, they need to be aware of that.

 

TU AMOR. Another first-rate recap, JoelD! I wonder how Patricia will use that video of Hector's arrest to try and manipulate Hector. Nora is so jubilant about her supposed family relationship to Guillermo that it almost makes us happy that she passed herself off as his daughter. Another plus is that she can give Patricia as good as she gets from her. Of course she is downright nasty to Horacio. Oh cute! Mina has a friend and is teaching him baseball. I'm also glad that Camila is returning to the taller as a modeling coach and supervisor. And I can't say I was surprised that Enrique was able to disguise the theft of the orphanage donations. Won't Rosamaria's firing him as a patient be as distressing and dangerous for Ricardo as going to the hospital when he doesn't want to? What Yolanda is doing in accusing Helena of design theft is called projecting. :)

JoelD, this wasn’t a recap, it was a sensational short story told in grand detail with a very observant, clever eye. First rate.

“Yolanda tells her to use her folic acid” made me smile in spite of myself.

“Helena says, I hope it goes better for her than it did for me. Surely he'll know to treat her with the attention and love that he didn't give me” made me sad. While Adelaida seems like a good woman, how could she stand by Guillermo when he threw Helena out of the house? Is she dependent upon him financially? I would have tried to get a place of my own and taken her with me. I hope we see more of how Helena made her way in the world thereafter.

I’m sorry but I agree – Guillermo and Nora deserve each other. “Why would you tell her something so important?, he asks, she's not even part of the family”. I could hardly believe it – color him despicable.

Yolanda now has Helena’s professional destiny in her hands. More angst. SpanProf, loved “What Yolanda is doing in accusing Helena of design theft is called projecting. :)” And so it is!

Patty might be the cleverest of them all. She binds herself to Hector with the video and dispatches Enrique after framing him. Both is one fell swoop. Impressive.

“It didn't hit me, Nora replies, I carry it in my blood. I didn't want to come back, but Val's all (mocking voice) "Go say goodbye to everyone." It’s almost as if Nora believes her own lies.

I’m hoping nothing happens to that lace shipment. Leo has enough black marks on his record – he would not survive if he sabotages this.

I’m still lost as to why Nora would work for Yolanda. I guess greediness is a bottomless pit.

How many more times is Ricardo going to have a near death experience?? Ack.

Dondi , thank you for that excellent recap of all the suffering . Melek is the wisest person in this show , and my heart aches for her. The young actress is doing a remarkable job . She makes me think of all the children of divorced parents who long for the reuniting of their parents and a return to one home, one family. Watching San lying there in bed holding Nare on one side and Melek on The other side , made my heart break.

Again , the message this show seems to be sending out is that love is tragic and makes you suffer.

I was hoping that San turned Meanie over to the police . Now, she will go through with her plan to keep pretending she is still pregnant and will try to get Cel's baby and pass him \ her off as Sans. Ugh

After watching the previews for tonight's episode, , I think that I had better add another strap to my beanie and gear up to suspend my disbelief to an even higher level.

SpanProf, I was wondering about Pat's video of Hector too. That took a lot of planning on her part. She tried to suggest that Hector keep it a secret from Helena which would be a big mistake if he complies. Diana, maybe Nora thinks she's doing Yolanda a favor by working for her, she's a famous "influencer" you know, Ha. There were several scenes of Helena eating last night. She was putting away more calories than usual. I wonder if the writers are going to have her gain weight for some plot purpose or if she was just innocently having fun. I hope it's the latter because the restaurant and ice cream scenes with Hector were nice.

Joel, thank you for another detailed recap of the good, the bad, and the ugly .

Nor is ecstatic at "her" mansion and the rich lifestyle she has managed to force herself into. She is beyond pumped and perky over joining the upper class. Pat , however, will be doing her best to make her life in the mansion difficult....Nora will fight back, unlike Val and Helena . It will be interesting to watch these two materialistic , egotistical people square off against each other . Meanwhile , Pat's pursuit of Handsome Hector continues .

Richard's appearances are getting to be limited to " I love you, Val" ..and then he falls on the floor . really ? Is that all you can come up with writers ?

Is it just me, or do the evildoers in this show outnumber the good souls ? Maybe we should do some math.

Oh boy...Elvan's message to Nare was kind of scary...so maybe Halisse didn't deserve her forgiveness. Let's see where this leads to. Still say that everyone needs to know Halisse's role in scaring lil Melek anyway. She hasn't been the perfect grandma at all...let alone the 1st lady or whatever she hails herself to be.

That was a close call on the wedding. Karuk since of loyalty almost did him in.

Glad that the gig is up on Meanie...hope she goes away now...but since she's still pretending to be pregnant.....guess she'll try to ease her way back into the mansion somehow. She should be in jail or hanging off that cliff with Akin.

“the message this show seems to be sending out is that love is tragic and makes you suffer” Well, this is a TN, and we are just short of half way through. We are near the end of Turkish ep 25 out of 52. We’ll have to wait and see if love can overcome all.

I wish that Sancar turned Meanie in, too. Or left her hanging off the cliff with Akin. But he thinks she’s pregnant, so he won’t do anything yet. Thank goodness he at least got that divorce!

Beren Gençalp is a wonderful young actress. The Sancar and Melek scenes are precious.

Question for anyone watching both Embajador and Hercai: who do you think committed the bigger sin after their weddings, Sancar or Miran?

Watching Hercai as well, I wonder if being left on your wedding night is a thing in Turkish dizi, or is this just a coincidence? For women worldwide, assault is terribly common. And if our birth families cannot support us, getting into a good marriage is often crucial to survival. I know we all want Nare and Sancar to get back together, but how can she ever get over what he did to her? She's lucky to have the means to live independently and that is the only reason he is bending over backwards to please her. If she were desperate and he knew she had no choice but to stay with him on his terms, I don't think he would ever become the better person he seems to be now.

Where do I get one of these companies where all I do is indulge my personal drama and still remain CEO, have tons of men in suits willing to lay their lives on the line for me, throw millions at any idiot in my path, constantly buy luxury houses that no one ever lives in, have an endless wardrobe without having to shop? On the other hand, I guess I wouldn't want to be shot, almost drowned, constantly at risk of kidnapping, never seem to get any sleep, have multiple heart attacks and perpetually have blood on my hands.

Well, the writers accomplished 2 things with that robbery . First, it showed just how bad that kid is and second, it pushed Carlotta and Sofia into Martins place giving Sofia and maybe Carlotta the hope that the family will reunite.

SergiNO is getting increasingly arrogant as he uses his children's problems to try to slither back info the family nest. Eva is on my last nerve . She needs to shut it.

Fedora is playing with fire . It's all fun and games being a,cougar ...until you run into an abusive youngster.


Nicole is despicable ..beyond just being a bully , she is truly cruel and has no empathy.

Julieta probably just used SergiNO as a stepping stone and WI!l step over her old lover if she sees more power and success in doing so..

Susanlynn, time is a very nebulous thing in TNs, but I would think Meanie better find a pillow soon. Hercai is a Turkish dizi that takes place in Southeastern Turkey. It’s a very different world than what we know in the US. If you have a hard time watching Embajador, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Lucio, I like your analogy. We shall see if Miran gets life or the death penalty. Maybe Sancar is on his way to a commuted sentence?

Anon @ 6:19, the dubbing is pretty good for this show. It’s the translations that leave something to be desired. I’ve seen a lot of Turkish dizi, but I can’t recall seeing other wedding nights like these. There probably have been others. Maybe someone else can share. I think Sancar is becoming a better person mostly because of his daughter.

Dee, LOL, I guess there’s always a downside. That’s why we watch, we can enjoy the fantasy of luxury and be glad we don’t have the risks.

Kavruk is rather self sacrificing of himself and he don't need to be in this instance. But he is very humble and sweet. He is just waaay to nice. The woman sells herself for a house and almost one million dollars to marry a Man she barely knows not to mention she don't even love her. I've said this before he can protect sancar
