Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #55
Part 1 of 5

Go ahead and shoot me, says Azize. Reyyan will die today with a bullet from your gun. Do what I say and she will live. HAG gives him a plane ticket.

Firat joins Miran on the roof of the hotel. Have you found the lawyer? asks Miran. No, not sign of him, says a frustrated sounding Firat, it appears that the Sadoglu have played their cards well. Firat tries to convince Miran that maybe Reyyan is being used as a spy, with the note from the kidnappers being used as a false clue to distract them and steal back all the documents. (Looks like Firat has as crockpot of his own).

Miran is not going down that path and tells Firat to steer clear of this line of thought regarding Reyyan. He tells Firat that he knows what he is doing, in fact, he says, you will be surprised. Firat stays on the same line, the HAG is right that Miran can’t see past Reyyan.

We cut to a scene where HAG and Yaren are conspiring via phone. HAG tells her to listen up and do what she says. She orders Yaren to meet her man in the garden to pick up Azat’s phone. Yaren agrees, saying to herself, this is crazy, and she smiles in a crazier way heading off to do the HAG’s bidding.

In her room, Yaren says, so Azize, the price I am paying to get involved in this game is huge, my reward should be huge as well. She does a practice run on the phone, pretending to cry about her brother leaving it all behind. After laughing, she makes the real call, a call to Reyyan. (Here we go).

Reyyan hesitates to answer the call from her bitch of a prima, but finally responds after the third intent. What do you want Yaren? Fake crying, Yaren tells her that Azat has left everything behind and is heading to the airport, only Reyyan can stop him. Reyyan hangs up with Yaren, who calls Azat’s phone that is also in Yaren’s possession, thanks to HAG. See, Reyyan? I am not lying; I have all of his things here. Azat is gone, I am afraid of what GT might do when he finds out. Please stop him before it is too late. Reyyan hangs up without another word, looking determined. Yaren cackles hysterically at her performance.

Reyyan rushes down the stairs as HAG enters the konak saying, you, you are behind all these games! Reyyan tells her, you are the gamemaster and you are going to get your feet tangled, I will make sure of that! Reyyan heads out, HAG says, we will just see about that and follows after her.

Miran is still on the hotel rooftop and gets a call (that he appears to be expecting) from HAG. I am downstairs waiting for you, I need to take you somewhere. Where? Says Miran. Just get down here, says HAG. Miran has a look and heads down to comply.

In the car, HAG proceeds to scold him about not listening to her about Reyyan being a planted spy from the Sadoglu. She says that Miran is so focused on the red herring of the kidnapping note to believe that it is the Sadoglu setting up the game and fake enemy. She continues, I told you that Reyyan married you only to save Azat’s life the Sadoglu have allowed her to stay married to you for revenge. Reyyan is working against you.

Miran, surprisingly calm, says okay, why are you telling me all this? They have invented this new enemy to confuse you, HAG says, they have turned you against me and now I want to show you the truth! Miran nods his head slightly. HAG says, drive HBB! Miran asks, what will you show me? Where are you taking me grandmother? Unfortunately, where I am taking you, be prepared, you are not going to like what you see, says HAG. I don’t want to do this, but you have left me no other choice.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #55
Part 2 of 5

At the entrance of the airport main terminal. Azat looks around and sighs heavily as he turns to head inside. Right on cue, Reyyan arrives with her driver and calls for him to stop. Surprised, Azat says, Reyyan, what are you doing here? How did you know? She ignores the questions and says, you cannot leave. You can’t leave your home and family. Are you leaving because of me? No, says Azat, it has nothing to do with you. I don’t believe you, says Reyyan, what are you parents going to do without you? What am I going to do with this guilt knowing that you left because of me? One day, you will love someone and they will love you in return. Please don’t leave, I cannot bear it thinking you left your family because of me.

I can’t stay here, says Azat, you need to leave and go home. This is the best for everyone. No, says Reyyan, grabbing his wrist and hand with both of her hands. You must stay here; I can’t let you go. This is what Miran sees as he and HAG arrive at the airport. See, says HAG, that girl does not love you, she loves him and the only enemy we have is the Sadoglu family. They have lied to your face; all of this was done for revenge. Get out, she says and listen to their lies. Saying nothing, Miran gets out of the car and walks over to Reyyan and Azat. Finally, he calls out her name, Reyyan! Startled, Reyyan drops Azat’s hand, saying, Miran, I can explain. Of course, HAG is on Miran’s heels and says, don’t even start with your lies! Miran and I know that the truth. Even as HAG says this, the look on Miran’s face is not of anger, but disgust.

Azat points his finger at HAG saying, stop right now, do not blame Reyyan for any of this. You stop, says HAG, or are you afraid everyone will learn of your dishonesty as you try to kidnap a married woman, one you failed to kidnap before?

Enough, grandmother, says Miran, enough! Miran? says HAG. Miran waves to someone parked behind HAG’s car. A guy (I think it is one of the guards from the konak) starts running toward them. What is happening? says HAG. Looking hard at HAG, Miran receives Azat’s gun from the guy, still wrapped in the blue and with handkerchief. Unwrapping it, as Reyyan has a bit of a meltdown, he holds the gun, butt first to Azat, saying, this gun has your fingerprints and if you don’t leave the city, a bullet is going to come out of the gun and kill Reyyan, you will be blamed.

Azat, Reyyan and HAG all have a “Que the Heck” look on their faces. Turning from HAG, Miran says, this is gun you dropped in the courtyard of the konak. He returns it to Azat, who places it behind his back in his belt loop, the common holster for the men of Midyat. Staring hard at a disbelieving HAG, Miran nods toward a man in a blue suit standing some distance away. He is the runaway lawyer you said was spying for the Sadoglu. Reyyan, show us the plane ticket. What plane ticket? says Reyyan. HAG looks absolutely sick to her stomach. The plane ticket that is in your purse. Miran pulls out a blue envelope from her purse.

To HAG, he says, this is the plane ticket you bought in Reyyan’s name for the flight you forced Azat to take. Realization of the set-up hits both Azat and Reyyan. HAG says, Miran… Enough, says Miran, it is over grandmother. It is all over. Miran reaches down and takes Reyyan’s hand in his. He, Reyyan and Azat all stare at HAG as the very dramatic music plays.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #55
Part 3 of 5

Understand this grandmother (from hell), there is nothing you can do that is going to separate me and Reyyan (Now Azat looks like he is going to be sick) says Miran. I knew what you are doing and I stopped it all.

We go down a memory flashback: Miran, in his car, intercepts Azat in his truck after Azat’s meeting with Azize. Miran demands to know why Azat was meeting HAG? Azat is pretty honest with Miran and tells him about the meeting with HAG. Miran thinks the story of the gun is not true. Azat tells him, fine, don’t believe me, but are you willing to risk Rayyan’s life believing in your granny? She is a crazy old hag! I am going to leave, but I will find a way to get Reyyan out of there before your granny kills her.

Next flashback: Miran is running down the stairs at the konak, calling for HAG as she leaves. Esma intercepts him, putting her finger to her lips, she motions him over to the kitchen steps and quietly explains that HAG wants her to put the plane ticket into Reyyan’s purse. (Yay, Esma!) Miran tells her to follow what HAG asked her to do and to not say anything to anyone.

Next flashback: Miran finds the runaway lawyer packing his car and his family. He tells the guy to explain what happened at the office with the Sadoglu documents. Miran threatens to call the police (again with the non-existent police) to put him in jail for forgery and fraud. The lawyer says that he had to do it because his and his family lives are at risk. Why? Who told you to do this? demands Miran. Mrs. Azize, says the lawyer.

Back at the airport entrance, Miran says, all I want to know is why grandmother? Why did you do all of this? Why would you do this to your grandson? What would you get out of making me believe that Reyyan was flying away with Azat?

HAG starts pouting and crying saying, I was afraid. I am afraid I am losing you. You are my son’s son, I raised you in the palm of my hand. I lost three sons, she says, looking to Reyyan and Azat, only a mother knows the loss of a child. I lost three and have raised three orphaned children. Her pathetic attempt to make nice definitely moves Miran. You have your father’s look, his voice, I held you to my breast and used you as ointment for my wounds. It gets deeper and deeper. The Patio gets the picture.

I made a mistake says HAG, I thought if I separated you, you would come back to me and bring back the love you have for me. Looking at Reyyan, she says, I made a mistake, you don’t have to believe me (the look on Reyyan’s face clearly says she doesn’t believe a word), but I raised this child in front of me with all my love and now he is worthy of your love, because I raised him, don’t forget this.

I am Azize Aslanbey and I have never apologized to anyone, but I want to apologize to you Reyyan. I am sorry, some mistakes are unforgiveable, I know. I have never forgiven your father for killing my son (oh this woman is beyond belief). Looking to Miran, she says, I have never killed anyone Miran. I have never separated a mother and father from their child. Now that you know how it feels to almost have your love taken from you, you have a better understanding of how I feel. You may never forgive me, but at least you can understand me. With a final, “Allah bless you my grandson,” Azize turns and walks away, her crocodile tears quickly fading.

Azat does not buying any of the Azize BS for one second, he demands to know if Miran is just going to let her get away with all of these lies? Reyyan holds tightly to Miran’s arm as they all watch HAG walk away. (She and Yaren clearly have the same acting coach).

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #55
Part 4 of 5

Arriving back at the konak, Miran stands in front of the open door but cannot step inside, he tells Reyyan to go inside, he will follow shortly. He walks down the alleyway, thinking of all the things HAG said at the airport and suffers a panic attack. Luckily, Reyyan followed him and is able to have him sit on a door stoop. Are you okay, she asks? No, I am not, says Miran. Everyone I ever loved is in the past, you are the only one I have. She hugs him.

Down the street a child is chasing after a ball and falls down, skinning his hands on the road, he cries, calling for his grandmother. She comes running and hugs him, soothing his wounds. Miran has a similar memory of HAG consoling him after he fell, scraping his hands. Miran tells Reyyan that what HAG did wasn’t right and she has every right to hate her, but she is still his grandmother and although he wasn’t raised with fairy tales, she did raise him. He tells Reyyan that he was afraid of thunder and HAG wouldn’t let him sleep with her, but she would not leave him until he fell asleep again. When he cried out from a nightmare, she didn’t stroke his head, but she was the one who first heard his cries. Esma was the one to sooth him, but HAG was always there. (It is going to take A LOT to deprogram Miran).

Clearly torn, Miran says, how could she do this to us? Reyyan says, what your grandmother did today, does not change the things she did for you growing up. But when someone does things in a selfish way, they are not able to see how they can hurt the people they love. Crying, Miran continues to say, how could she do this? I don’t understand. Reyyan hugs him.

In the konak courtyard, Esma and Elif are worried. Elif wants to know if Esma knows what is going on as she has called both Miran and Reyyan and neither one answered. I don’t know anything, says Esma, as she remembers telling Miran about the airline ticket. Miran and Reyyan come in to the courtyard and Elif runs over asking what is going on and where is the HAG? Miran cannot respond, he heads upstairs. Reyyan tells her that he will explain things to her later.

On the rooftop patio, Miran continues to angst. Reyyan follows him and tells him, I know you are angry and hurt, but I need to ask you something. Why didn’t you tell me what was going on? Miran responds, because I didn’t think she would actually go through with the plan. I didn’t think she would hurt me like this. Even after I found every piece of evidence, I kept thinking, she would stop.

Well, you were wrong, says Reyyan, she didn’t. I am not angry with you Miran, I saw how she played all of us including my primo Azat and set this trap. You should not have kept us in the dark about her plans. We are not pawns in her game. What makes me most angry is how she knows where to hurt you most and tear your heart apart. Smiling, she says, but even after all of her efforts, we are still together, she could not tear us apart with her games. Miran holds her hands to his face, kisses her palms and then lays his head into her lap. She strokes his hair.

Apparently, Azat called Hazar to tell him what happened because Hazar is yelling at Azat, angry that Azat didn’t let him know what was going on. Azat tells Hazar that what worries him most, is Miran thinks HAG is just trying to separate him and Reyyan. He doesn’t see that HAG has every intention of killing Reyyan. Not even Miran is safe in that house, uncle, says Azat. We have to get Reyyan out of there! Yes, says Hazar. I have to show proof, because Reyyan loves Miran and won’t come home without Miran knowing the truth. What truth? says Azat. I need to find proof, says Hazar.

Hercai: Amor y Venganza - Episode #55
Part 5 of 5

Still stroking his hair, Reyyan asks, now what happens Miran? What if your grandmother tries again? She failed this time, but what if she tries again? What if something happens to us? This finally gets a response from Miran, he sits up saying, I won’t let it happen again, nothing is going to happen to us. I know you won’t, she says, but your grandmother is angry now, she thinks she lost you.

Frustrated, Reyyan stands and walks to the terrace edge. Miran follows, hugging her from behind and says that from here on out, only what she says matters. He isn’t listening to anyone else. Reyyan says, it is not that easy, our lives are not just us. What if my family hears about what happened? Or people in town? Are you going to invite everyone to lunch to fix the problem? Don’t drag us into the silence your grandmother wanted to put between us. Please say something. What can I say Reyyan? Everything you said is right. I don’t have anything more to say. He walks away, telling her he needs to be alone.

On his way downstairs, Gonul, Sultana, Elif and Esma are all in the courtyard. Gonul tries to get Miran’s attention, but he ignores her and leaves. Sultana tries to speculate what is going on and where is HAG? No one wants to engage and Sultana says, a typical day at the Aslanbey house, everyone afraid of Azize and no one respects me.

Still on the rooftop patio, Reyyan answers a call from Hazar. He is frantic, asking if she is okay and telling her he is on the way to pick her up, Azat in tow. Reyyan begs him not to, saying she will call him to meet. Azat continues to tell Hazar that Reyyan is not safe and he needs to go get her and bring her home. Hazar does not answer as he walks away and the episode ends.

Hi all! Enjoy this very interesting episode and hopefully I covered everything in recap. I am traveling the next few days and will not be able to do the recap on Wednesday.

Herc

Another great recap! Thank you VVS! What a “Que the heck” episode, but I loved it! Enjoyed the tables being turned on HAG! Enjoyed her going off to lick her wounds ( and of course, re-strategize) like the female hyena that she is! I’m sure this just puts a small dent in her overall plans, but the seed has been firmly planted. Even if Miran somehow closes his eyes again, Reyyan will always have at least one eye wide open! Had to hurt for Miran though, Azize has deeply wounded him. He really needs to take Reyyan and get the heck outta killer vibe castle, and not tell anyone! For some reason he still hasn’t figured out that Fi”rat” is indeed one!

Yup, HAG and Yaren must have the same acting coach or the stick onions in their bras to turn it on and off, lol. Sickening the both of them! Along with WaaaaahhhhhWaaaaaaahhhhhWhaaaaaahhhhhh Sultana! At least the twisted sisters HAG and Yaren have a method to their madness. Sultana just hangs around, being a Debbie downer with no clear course in her life. No wonder Gonul follows HAG’s lead.

Safe travels VVS, and thanks again!

Cafe

Nice to see Julia get a dose of her own medicine—— from Lucía no less, lol. I still don’t get how Lucía has all of a sudden become this “force to be reckoned with,” after only being at Cafe Elite for less than a week. Guess that’s one of the perks of sleeping with the boss, lol. Ivan is getting it back with super charged spades! Still has the nerve and audacity to be so arrogant! Not a humble bone in his horrible self. Same goes for Paula. Time to burst your princess balloon princess a! You got played big time! Not that I excuse Martin, who needs a serious beat down, but at least Paula is being knocked off her throne.

I’m also very glad Marcia is alive, but Carlos Mario is as mean and lethal as a cornered rattlesnake. Trying to get Marcia pregnant! The nerve! I’m sure Marcia went off to take something for her “headache,” along with a birth control pill. Having to have sex with him must make her skin crawl!

Even at this late stage in the game, Seb is a dummy. I guess only women have that “intuition” thing? Thank goodness he looks good! Lol......

herc

Thanks carmella for the comments and travel wishes! I agree that HAG is just temporarily wounded, she is very well insulated and had 27 years to think of almost everything.

Twisted Sisters HAG and Yaren, lol.

I can’t stop thinking about the crackpot theory you shared over the weekend of Hazar being the lovechild of Azize and Nasuh! That is so lowdown evil and brilliant!

HERCAI

VVS, another home run girl. I love the way miran got the hah.
I must say, those croc tear were the icing on the cake. This bitch lies as easily as she breaths.

All that heart felt crap she did when he was a child wasnt even complete. If she were his real grandfather
She would have let him crawl up in the bed and she would have beheld him tol he fell asleep. She called esma to care for him cuz she could not stand to touch him cuz he isn't
Her grandson. Reyyon hit it when she said she knew just what to use to rip his heart out.

You are right VVS, it will take a lot to reprogram miran. There 27yrs
Of deprograming to be done. And I believe there is a part of him that knows he has been lied to the whole
27 years of his life and a part him is fighting it. That's why he has the panic attacks. And he gets so mad when hazar his bio dad speaks the truth, he has a battle going on Inside, the lie against the truth.
This guy is a really good actor. I can't even pronounce his name.

He's gonna have to leave that house of hell to get the truth, cuz the hag gave an academy award winning performance at the entrance of the air port. Lying liar! Azat wasnt buying it & neither was viewerville

First, what the jell is his problem
He believe everything that lying hag says. Hes been drinking the same koolaid that hadmed...whatever
His name is, the driver has been drinking. She only cares about people that helps her with her evil
Agendas. Pure evil.

And they need to stop trying to get reyyon away from her husband, that
Ain't happening They noth are gonna leave that house of horrors.

Thank you VVS, LOVED IT.

herc

Thanks so much, VVS, for a super recap of a surprising episode. They sure had me fooled. I was certain that when Miran saw Reyyan holding Azat's hand, he'd go ballistic, and we'd have several days of his wanting nothing to do with Reyyan. It was such a pleasure that for once, HAG was defeated. She's down, but, alas, definitely not out.

I loved all the detail you provide, and I also love your great asides, such as "(Looks like Firat has as crockpot of his own),"Understand this grandmother (from hell)," and "Azize turns and walks away, her crocodile tears quickly fading."

Given that Azize knows full well that Hazar is Miran's father, I wonder how it feels for her to tell Miran "You have your father’s look, his voice..." Of course, she says this wanting him to identify with Mehmet, but since she knows the truth....

And yes, I agree that it's going to take a LOT to deprogram Miran. Fortunately, Reyyan seems to be becoming more mature, capable, and aware day by day.

I wonder what "proof" Hazar is wanting to find. Even he doesn't know that Miran is his son. Is there "proof" Hazar can find that he didn't kill Mehmet and dishonor Dilsah?

Again, many thanks, VVS. Have safe travels.

Herc

Great recap, VVS! You got all the details. “(Looks like Firat has as crockpot of his own).” Beautiful.

Carmella, I lol’d at Fi”rat”. We had a “Mu-Rat” in a previous Turkish dizi. Right now, I’m thinking Firat is a skunk with a yellow stripe down his back. What a coward. This rodent and Miran might become enemies before it’s over.

Juanita, you wrote: “Given that Azize knows full well that Hazar is Miran's father, I wonder how it feels for her to tell Miran "You have your father’s look, his voice..." Of course, she says this wanting him to identify with Mehmet, but since she knows the truth....” This made me think of Carmella’s theory about love child Hazar. Is this a clue?

I wanted to hear Nasuh’s explanation to Hazar on how they got the konak back. Was something cut?

Thanks again, VVS. Safe trip.

dondi356

Hercai

VVS, thank you for every devious detail as Gram continues to scam Miran. I like the way he defends Rey , and in turn, the way she knows how to comfort and support him. That is exactly what true loves instinctively do . It's natural and automatic , and I hope these two stay strong and loyal . Safe travels to you.

Sultana needs a hobby.

OT..Dondi , I am enjoying KPA. Engin is always so focused and present that I believe him in every role I have seen him in . Tuba is fine, but my favorite pairing is kerim and Fatmagul. Wow, the old villain is a scary, creepy monster . The actor was not so demonic in Imperio.
The young villain is creepy and crazed like Scario Dario in Imperio but not handsome like Dario.

herc

Appreciate the comments Nina, Juanita, dondi356 and Susanlynn and the travel well wishes.

Nina, I think you are right that Miran is fighting his inner self, maybe deep down, the “call of blood” is resonating and this is manifesting into panic attacks.

Juanita, I was totally fooled by Miran. I thought he was going to murderlize Azat at the airport. I have no idea what proof Hazar thinks is out there. Maybe the kind gentleman, who helped Reyyan, may know something? So glad to see Reyyan willing to fight for Miran, he is going to need that and more.

dondi356, I did check the Turkish version (we are on 19 now) and there was no Hazar/GT discussion about the konak. Maybe tonight, I try not to watch ahead. 😊

Susanlynn, Sultana does need hobby! ReyMir are bonding and loving well but until Miran can resolve the venganza against Hazar, with proof or whatever, it will be a struggle. Except for Gul and Melike, they are on their own for support.

Herc

Surprising episode, Thank you, VVS.

Some thoughts.
Reyyan should have learned by now that anything coming from Yaren is poison.

If Azat is going to leave, I don't think Reyyan should be stopping him. His parents will be sad - maybe, but why hasn't he left already? He is about 30 and still living with his parents. Finally, a chance to grow up.

Passing around the gun right in front of the airport terminal. TSA would be all over them in a second.

"IF SHE WAS HIS REAL GRANDMOTHER"

Sultana is so annoying. She needs a life. And what makes her think somebody is gonna look up to her?
Shes got all that info and wont use it cuz she scared of the hag.
And there is one woman standing up to t hff at hag, you govreyyon fight/with your husband. I love the way he fights for her. To bad hff er father didn't. Let j.g er get all beat up by that cowardly masuh.
All he do is pull out a gun and then threatened and then nothing.
Shes safer with miran, she goes home she'll just get beat up again by that Monopoly guy. I don't feel sorry for cihan because he hit her too, he's up there mad because his father didn't hug him when he got the house back. Boohoo.

Late to the party. Another day of actually showing up at the office! And %^&$ Google thinks I'm a miscreant now when I try to post a comment on my work computer. Rather than identify all the bicycles in the picture or all the traffic lights, I just gave up.

What I was able to read of your recap until I got interrupted over and over again was just fantastic! Thanks so much, VVS.

Regarding Wednesday. My Spanish Zoom class is now in the evening. So I can put up a tiny recap on Wednesday night this week, but I won't even be able to watch the episode until after 10PM. And it's not even on until 10 PM Eastern time that day.

I think it’s great that Julia is finally seeing that the poor black guy and the gay guy would be way better children-in-law than the two women of her own class and archaic morality. Good on Lucrecia finally coming to her senses but she is still daring to divorce Julia’s favored son. And Lu. She needs help. But her terrible father did teach her to do crime to compete with Julia, who is losing it due to no one taking her social status seriously. I would fear that Ivan’s flying lessons are going to come back into play, but if he only has Lu and her father and maybe Martin on board, then a crash won’t be too awful. For us, anyway. Lu doesn’t like Sofia much so the baby is probably safe.

cafe, herc, telemundo

I just took another look at the TV schedule for Wednesday evening. Zap2It now claims that Hercai will run from 9:28PM - 11PM. Telemundo, however, lists various fútbol-related stuff all evening. No novelas at all. There's no way of knowing which of the two listings is correct. Perhaps neither. Arrgh.

Hercai: Amor y venganza - #56 - p 1 de 3

The episode opens with Elif talking to Reyyan. "Grandma did something bad to you, didn't she?" asks Elif. We then see some of the key scenes from the previous episode. Elif is horrified. Reyyan tells Elif, "You have the same disappointment in your eyes (about Azize) as Miran." Elif says, "I've always tried to understand her pain. But now I'm more afraid." Reyyan replies, "Azize's problem is with me and my family. She doesn't see what she does to you."

Perhaps emulating Azize, Sultana appears in a pink outfit (though I wouldn't call her "pretty in pink"). Gonul is trying to call Azize and Miran and neither of them answers. A gloating Sultana tells Gonul that Azize is causing her own downfall, not theirs. "I even had the courtesy to tell her this," Sultana says.

Elif is worried about Azat. She asks Reyyan to call her when she sees Azat. Reyyan leaves to meet her father. Elif calls Azat. Azat sees that it's Elif calling, and he answers, asking, "Did something happen to Reyyan." (Sigh) Elif says she wants to apologize for what her grandmother has done. Azat tells her that she's the only innocent one among the Aslanbeys. She shouldn't feel guilty for what others have done. He then thanks her for her support. She wants to add something, but he ends the call.

The scene shifts to HAG. She tells herself, "You lost this time, Azize. The boy you raised went after the girl he loves. Love overpowered venganza, not the other way around. You shattered your own heart, not the heart of your enemy."

Hazar and Reyyan meet and hug. She assures him that she's fine. He tells her that the witch will end up killing her. Reyyan dismisses his fear, saying that Azize just wants to tear Miran and her apart. Hazar says he wants her to come home, but Reyyan tells him, "For now, I must stay at the mansion. I must support my husband, and help him to see the truth about the past." She urges Hazar to tell Miran the truth. Hazar quite rightly replies that Miran won't believe him. Reyyan isn't convinced. "After what Azize did, Miran's trust in her has been shattered." She returns to the issue of what happened in the past. "You said the man who made the ring for you died. But there must be another person. There must be another witness." Hazar again insists that Miran won't listen, his heart has been turned to stone. Hazar then insists, "You're coming home with me and divorcing that man!" Reyyan remains where she is. She asks her father, "Could you have left Dilsah in that mansion? I'm not leaving Miran." She pauses, and then continues, "I know you're innocent. Show everyone who slandered you the truth." Hazar reluctantly agrees.

Miran drives to the cabin. He opens the locked door with his key and goes inside. He remembers his grandmother's words about being afraid to lose him. This memory is followed by his remembering Reyyan saying that next time his grandmother will succeed in hurting them. Confused and depressed, he falls onto the bed. He asks himself why every time he thinks things are getting better, one part of him is always incomplete. He falls asleep. Day turns to night. He hears a scream. Reyyan? he cries out. He gets out of bed and opens the door. He sees his mother being dragged away by Hazar. Then he hears Reyyan calling out, "Miran, help me. She's taking me." He sees his grandmother pulling Reyyan away. He wakes up. It's daytime, and Reyyan is lying next to him in bed. She tells him it was just a dream. "You'll know the truth, and I'll be here to help you heal." Despondent, he tells her "I have no home. Your heart is the only place I feel safe."

Hercai: Amor y venganza - #56 - p 2 de 3

As I was watching this scene, I kept suspecting that Miran was still dreaming. He and Reyyan hold hands and walk toward the camera, and she has a weird smile on her face, as if she's smiling at Viewerville. Suddenly Miran sees Hazar pulling her away from the cabin. Miran wakes up, this time for real. He opens the cabin door and finds Reyyan standing there. "I knew I'd find you here," she says. "I have something important to tell you. Don't get mad at me. Let's sit down." They sit down on a bench in the cabin's porch. "I spoke with my father," she tells him. "He found out what your grandmother did, and he wanted me to go home with him. I told him I wouldn't. I want him to tell you the truth."

Miran becomes furious. "I don't want to hear a single word from him about my mother!" Reyyan points out that Azize had lied now, so why wouldn't she have lied about his mother. An upset and angry Miran yells, "It's not my grandmother, it's my mother! Hazar Sadoglu is the only assassin of my father and my mother!" Miran then storms off from the cabin.

The scene shifts to the Sadoglu place in the country, where preparations are being made to move back to the Sadoglu mansion. A triumphant Nasuh is gleefully breaking the news to Hazar: "We got everything back! We're going back to our house. No one can ruin our happiness!" Suddenly, we hear someone yell, "Hazar Sadoglu!!" It's Miran, arriving for the Screaming Competition. Nasuh screams, "What are you doing here? You think you can come whenever you please? Get out of my house!" An enraged Miran yells at Hazar, "I heard you were talking about my mother, and you were trying to corrupt Reyyan's thinking. You fell for a woman who didn't want you, and your ego couldn't take it, so you kidnapped her! And then you killed her!! You murdered her and my father without mercy. If you say another word about my mother, I'll kill you without even thinking about it. The only reason I don't kill you in your own house is because of Reyyan. When Reyyan finally learns the truth, you'll be dead to both of us!"

"Who told you these lies?" asks Hazar. "Your abuela, who lied about Azat and Reyyan? Do what you want, but you can't change the past. When you learn the truth, you'll be crushed by the same pain you caused Reyyan." Though Miran was shouting all through this scene, he then repeats his accusations even more loudly so everyone present can hear (except those whose hearing was impaired by his loud shouting the first time). When Miran gets to the part where he says, yet again, "I'll kill you," Zehra comes up to him and says, "You'll kill him? You said you'd be a son to me. Is that the way a son acts?" Not to be outdone, Azat yells back at Miran as well, and of course threatens to kill him.

Naturally, poor overlooked Cihan has to get into the act as well. He wants to know the whole story. He blames Hazar for bringing misery to the Sadoglu family. Nasuh tries to cut him off, saying "That's enough, Cihan. Cihan realizes that his Papa knew all along and said nothing. "Why did you stay quiet?" he asks Nasuh. "Just for once, take my side. It's the same as when we were kids. Do you know what it's like being invisible to Papa? What was I supposed to do to be seen? Commit serious errors like my brother? What my brother did destroyed the family!" Hazar walks away. Nasuh orders Yusuf to tell the drivers not to go anywhere. "We won't be moving back to the mansion."

herc
Hercai: Amor y venganza - #56 - p 3 de 3

Handan tells Cihan to stop acting like a child. "This is not the time to talk, it's the time to act. Finding out about what Hazar did helps us. Everyone now knows about the sin." She again encourages Cihan to convince Azat to get married, and arrange for him to marry Elif. (Just what this will accomplish and how they'll bring it about remains to be seen. Frankly, I'd like to see a match between Elif and Azat. But one serious downside is who Elif would have as in-laws: Handan, Cihan, and Yaren. Arrgh! She deserves MUCH better!

Meanwhile, Hazar has decided that Reyyan is right, he needs to prove the truth. He makes a call to Esma. He tells her he needs to see her right away at the same place they met before. He warns her that if she doesn't come, he'll come get her. Just as the phone call ends, Firat comes in. He sees the expression on Esma's face and asks whether she's had bad news. She says a friend died unexpectedly, a friend Firat didn't know. She's about to leave. Firat asks where she's going. She says something about Azize asking her to get some clothes from the tailor. She leaves. Very soon thereafter, Sehriyah comes in with clothes. Firat asks her about the clothes, and she says Azize had brought them to the tailor and Esma asked her to pick them up. Oops.

Cihan, Handan, and Azat drive out to some deserted place to talk. Azat asks why they can't talk at home. Cihan explains that it's hard to do so there without other people hearing. (Ya think?) Handan, too, says that they don't want people to eavesdrop. About what? asks Azat. Cihan says it was OK that Azat didn't talk about what happened with Azize, but "I'm your father, and I'd like you to come to me when you have problems. If you want to protect your uncle, there are better ways than with a pistol. You're my only son. I'd give my life for you. But I won't sacrifice your life." (And what does any of this have to do with persuading Azat to get married?)

The scene switches to the place Hazar goes to meet Esma. He remembers Dilsah saying to him, "How can I wait all that time? How will I bear your absence? Will you write to me every day? I'm afraid. I'm happy, but I feel like everything is about to be ruined. What will I do if you stop loving me?" We hear Hazar assure her, "I could never stop loving you, Dilsah." He's remembering this conversation, and he's sobbing. Suddenly, Esma appears. She tells him this is the last time she will come. He says he too wants it to be the last time. This has to end. He says, "How could you keep the truth from Miran? Azize is using him as a pawn for her revenge. If you don't tell Miran about his mother, I will, and I'll tell him you knew about everything." "Are you threatening me?" Esma asks. "No, I'm pleading with you. Help me. Dilsah deserves justice. Do what you know is right." There's a pause. "I can't. My son...." Hazar tells her she's the only one who can do it. "You owe this truth to everyone, especially to Miran. If you don't say anything, I will." Hazar then leaves. Seconds later, Firat appears. He and Esma stare at each other as the episode ends.

Juanita, thanks so much for another great recap of all the suffering ..silent and noisy.

I got kind of confused watching because we seemed to be getting a dream within a dream. I thought Miran woke up with Rey beside him in bed but then they both walked toward the camera (Que ?) And he woke up ..again ?

" I have no home. Your heart is The only place I feel safe." Wow, yes, this is so true of soul mates . I have also heard " You are my home." It is not the place that is home for soul mates, it is beloved person that is your home .

Rey seems to always wear loose , monochromatic dresses . She looked great in red , but this green color with multicolored buttons was also very flattering on her.

What is it with Turkish tns and cabins ? " La Hiya del Emjador " and " Fatmagul" also had cabins and both ended up getting burned down .

Thanks, Juanita. Nice recount of Miran’s dream. Nice snarky asides.

The color pink is supposed to reduce anxiety and aggression. Maybe it keeps Sultana calm, but it does nothing for HAG who needs to wipe off that ghoulish eye makeup.

Is it too obvious that Elif really likes Azat? I hope he doesn’t break her heart. She seems so fragile. “But one serious downside is who Elif would have as in-laws: Handan, Cihan, and Yaren. Arrgh! She deserves MUCH better!” ITA, Juanita. And I hope that Azat would do his best to protect his bride.

Lol—“It's Miran, arriving for the Screaming Competition.” “(except those whose hearing was impaired by his loud shouting the first time)” This turned annoying very quickly. I actually muted the TV for some of this and read the captions.

When Cihan shouted, "Just for once, take my side”, I shouted how about just for once, somebody tell the truth! Why are Nasuh and Hazar afraid to tell the truth to their own family? What cowards. I wanted Nasuh to slap whiny baby Cihan so badly just to shut him up.

Cihan is just laying on a bit of fatherly BS again before he drops the marriage bomb on Azat.

I wish Reyyan would get a clue and speak directly with Esma like she tried with Yusuf. Instead, we get idiot Hazar putting himself and Esma in danger by secretly meeting. Is Fi-Rat (thanks, Carmella) going to snitch on his own mother?

Many thanks, Susanlynn and dondi356, for your great comments.

Susanlynn, I too was VERY confused by the dream sequence. I had my doubts about the "daytime" part when Miran supposedly wakes up to find Reyyan lying next to him in bed, but it was only when they held hands and seemed to walk toward the camera, with Reyyan having a weird smile as she looked straight at the camera, that I decided it was part of Miran's dream. Indeed, the second time Reyyan appears (at the cabin door), I waited a bit before deciding that THIS time Miran really was awake and Reyyan really was present.

dondi356, I agree that Elif seems fragile, but at the same time she seems very gutsy, repeatedly standing up to Azize and speaking her mind. It's clear that she's taken with Azat; I hope he will come to love her, but the only way I think they can be happy is if they move FAR away from Cihan, Handan, and Yaren. And I too wish Reyyan would speak frankly with Esma. Yes, Hazar put Esma and himself in danger, but I really doubt that Fi-Rat will live up to his "name." At least I hope not!

Thanks for your succinct recap Juanita! Much appreciated! This episode, once again brought out my ever present dislike for many of these Midyatans! You are absolutely on point about Sultana, and her not being “ pretty in pink.” As a matter of fact, she’s not pretty in any color although she’s an attractive woman. Her negative, overbearing attitude makes her as ugly as they come, and I wish she’d just shut up and go stand in the corner, facing the wall! Handan is another one! All sanctimonious with a blame everybody else gene except her perfect little family! All this, and I do mean “all this” basically falls at Yaren’s feet, and it’s high time they all got a clue! And what burns me up about stuck in stepchild syndrome Cihan is that he’s so jealous of Hazar that instead of giving his brother the benefit of the doubt, he’s willing to believe the worst of him! Such a ( excuse my French) pussy crybaby boy! Uggghhhh!

Then, he’s baaaaack! Miran in moron-maniac mode! How dare he show up at a person’s home, make demands and proceed to tell them what they can and can’t do! Hazar should’ve hauled off and smacked the crap out of him! But then there’s Hazar, not saying a word like a little wimp, while getting a verbal beatdown from both Miran and Cihan! I just wanted to shake him, and tell him to man up for once! I could not have been in Zehra’s shoes at that moment, cause everyone would’ve gotten a good, and I do mean good, piece of my mind! You will not talk to my husband like that even if he is a wimpy kid! WTH is wrong with these people!! Plus Nasuh, who knows the truth could only say “ Basta !?!” Basta this you old coot!

I only liked the exchange between Reyyan and Elif this episode, but it proved to me me that Elif is also very fragile. Azat needs a woman with more oomph who’s gonna be his ride or die like Reyyan is proving to be for Miran. Reyyan is getting stronger and stronger, and I hope she continues in the same vein. I’m still team Azat and Gonul, but there doesn’t even seem to be a hint of that happening, lol.

Sorry for my rant, and thanks again Juanita! 💯

Lol, the cabins. You’re becoming a real Turkish dizi fan.

I’m glad you’re enjoying KPA. It’s very different from Fatmagül. Hard to compare the two. IMHO, Fatmagül was the better show. As for the couples, whichever one I happen to be watching is my favorite. I like them both for different reasons. Fatma and Kerim seemed so genuine, and their story was very intimate. KPA is escapist fare, with mystery, action, romance. There was more excitement in Elif’s and Omer’s relationship. The production was warned about the kissing, too. Censorship is a drag. Of course, YMMV.

Moving kind of slow for ultimate semanas, imho. There still seems like more to resolve than episodes, but I guess that you can resolve everything in just one episode if you need too. Couple of surprises——— Julia’s continued reaction to Bernardo’s being, and now living as a gay man. You’d think that with everything that is going on, she’d take sincere and true compassion for their situation wherever she can get it. I guess not? I realize that it’s all too much, but it’s times like these that family is exactly what’s called for. I was also surprised by Martin’s admission to Lucrecia about the type of man he truly is. No remorse whatsoever in him, but I do believe that he loved Lucrecia as much as he was capable of. At least he didn’t take her for her money, but what a sociopath! I hoped that the woman he was hitting on at the end was an undercover cop, but I guess not. Or she still could be? We’ll see. Either way Martin needs to get caught. Last surprise was Ivan. He really does love Lucrecia——- except that his way of loving her is warped and kind of sick. She needs love and affection and he needs——and likes——freaky get it on sex. I don’t believe that Lucrecia really fell in love with Martin, just the way he treated her when she needed it the most.

Paula’s hurt, understandably so, but still a snot. So I couldn’t muster up a pinch of sympathy for her. At least Marcela and Seb showed her true, caring sibling-ship if there’s such a thing, lol. Lucía is a disgusting human being. She learned from the best though.

I’m ambivalent. I want this to end, but I don’t want it to either......weird......

Carmella, I LOVED your rant, especially your inspired alliteration ("Miran in moron-maniac mode!") and your, um, fluent French. And I kept shaking my head in agreement with just about every thing you said. Cihan was so over-the-top embarrassing in his neediness. If he weren't such a despicable jerk, I might even feel sorry for him. And his brother is such a wuss. I suspect a good part of the blame in both cases must lie with the Monopoly Man, Papa Nasuh, aka Grandpa Tyrant.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about Gonul. Azat doesn't deserve a nut-case, and given the fact that Gonul stabbed herself, shot Azat, and spread nasty and untrue rumors about him, I think "nut-case" fits her well. Perhaps she'll undergo a Miraculous Telenovela Transformation, but unless/until that happens....

Hercai

I have to laugh at Cirhan as he rants and raves while dressed in that royal blue vest with matching pants looking like one of The Beegees.......except I like the BeeGees.

OT..Dondi, I loved Fatmagul, but KPA is very interesting . I watched Imperios, but so many changes were made from the original that I have had several surprises . I am wondering what nastiness might be ahead to shock me ...like that tongue scene . That was definitely not in Imperios. This villainous uncle is a deviant , calculating monster. The actor is amazing..the character is frightening .

I noticed that whoever translated KPA and Fatmagul into English calls the characters "aunts" who are actually SIL .

Herc

I actually totally agree with you, Juanita, about Gonul. She is a nut job, lol. But for me, there’s a difference between acting like a nut case cause you’re driven to it, and really being a mental case. Is there a difference though? Debatable. It does stymie my brain though, that after all she’s done, especially stab her own self, that her loving mother and grandmother haven’t gotten her any “head case” help. We know that Sultana was institutionalized, so is it a genetic thing? What I like about Gonul is that she’s willing to do whatever it takes for her man! She just needs to learn the right way, and she won’t as long as she has Sultana and Azize as role models, lol.

I dunno, Azat is tall, she’s tall, he’s dark, she’s fair, and I think that once he wraps his arms around her, it will be a perfect fit! That’s the romantic in me, lol.......I’m actually glad there’s a little break tonight.......

Hercai

If you are a fan of the actor playing Azat, he plays a good guy cop and bff of the galan in Kara Para Ask ( Black Money Love) on Netflix .

Thanks so much, Juanita. Fine recap indeed! I especially liked the aside about showing up for the screaming contest.

Just when we thought Miran had softened a bit and even agreed to work with Hazar on finding how who "the other enemy" might be, he goes back into overbearing jerk mode. I almost expected his hair to be back in bangs on his forehead.

I'm Team Azat and Elif. They are both, at heart, gentle souls and would be perfect for each other. ITA on getting away from the rest of his family, though. OTOH I expect some sort of ending where Cihan, Handan, and even Yaren magically come to their senses and all is fine.

Tonight's schedule My DirecTV also shows 9:28 to 11:00. And, in the list of upcoming recordings on my screen, it's entitled "Emisión Especial".

We'll see. That title made me wonder if they might be going with one of those recap what's happened to date episodes. They used to do that IIRC on holidays. Thinking there wouldn't be enough people watching to buy laundry soap and Taco Bell, they just go with a recap show.

IF it's new stuff, I'll put something up, but it probably will be brief.

I thought things have been interesting lately. Julia pretty much told Lucía to get out. But then Lucía filled her in on Iván's actually being involved in money laundering. I was surprised at Lucía being that frank with her MIL. I thought she was going with conspiring with Iván and getting his half of the shares in the company for keeping silent. She blew that opportunity when she outed him, so that's confusing.

I suppose they'll go with bratty Paula ending up with Arthur, but I hate to see him saddled with her.

What Julia said to Berni was just awful. Who tells your child you never want to see them again? I was glad to see he took it well. I've noticed that since Berni decided to jump from the closet and be with Carlos, he's not wearing his glasses any more!

It looks like Marcia is now living, under duress of course, with Carlos Mario. CM has decided he wants Maria to have his child. Ugh!

There was something about someone (Arthur?) warning Margara that her brother Wilson was about to be dropped in the $%^& and maybe he should get away from Carlos Mario. Not sure if my memory is correct about that.

Mr. Google finally came through. I found an article about café pasilla. It turns out that this refers to beans that aren't good enough for exportation. They can be shriveled and undersized and have other sorts of flaws. The article seemed to be saying that the actual Colombians mostly drink this café pasilla because the good stuff gets exported.

Thanks Susalynn. Ive seen that advertised on Netflix. I'll probably check it out!

Im okay with team Elif. I just prefer team Gonul. no matter what, I hope happiness is in the forecast.....

I’m watching the evening news on Telemundo and the sports reporter said there are two World Cup Qualifiers tonight: Panama v Mexico at 8p and Honduras v USA at 10p Eastern Time.

No Hercai for me.

I'm pretty sure there's no Hercai for anyone tonight. The program guide on Telemundo's website is now showning fútbol all evening. So the only screamers tonight will be the fútbol fans.

Juanita, EXCELLENT RECAP. AND GOOD
SNARK TOO.

I wish Miran wouldnt scream so much he sounds crazy. But I looked up that title for the episode and it
Means of fear & guilt(miedo y culpa
Well tjats what google said. I'm not even gonna try and spell it in turkish.
But that kinda explains whats going on inside of him. He afraid of the truth tha tree a bi listing to come to the surface that he knows his hag(fake grandmother)has lied to him for 27 years and is keeping bvn it going. And the guilt of what he did to reyyon and keeping that old revenge crap going is ripping him up. Yall notice he has to keep on repeating in to make it sound true.
And now that he has spread the lie to the sadoglu clan who bbn os so incredibly stupid to believe it. 2 cowards in the group, nasuh & hazar.
Why wont they tell the truth? What the hell are they afraid of. That hag with all that black bad makeup
On?

Oh boy, when is this gonna blow up?And the cowards stop being cowards?

Thank you Jaunita.

DirecTV was correct. Last night they ran one of those "highlights" shows where the do a sort of recap of what's happened to date. I wish I would have been sure of that. I could have mentioned it to my Zoom Spanish class last night. My little show and tell about the popularity of Turkish novelas dubbed into Spanish was well received.
