La herencia, #45 / #46 Monday, An affair to remember, an affair to forget. Which is which?
Deb plays the victim with Sara, but she’s had it with mom doing things behind her back. She forced her to come here, gave booze to Mateo, became Prospi’s lover, removed Catalina’s portrait… and now Lucas. No more! Deb promises to behave, but she can’t stand it when Sara is upset with her. Sara caves.
Juli and Prospi get into it over her not
belonging at the ranch. She is adamant this is her house, too. They decide to
have lunch together, after a stroll outside.
Mateo tells Brandon he and Dulce remind him
of his own romance with Juli. He can go to the US if he wants to, but think
about the dangers first! They ran into Juli and Prospi, who is very cordial, he
and Mateo chats about Mateo’s moto and Prospi asks to ride it, he used to have
one back in the day. And off he goes.
Mateo asks Julieta to go back to the house,
the gas smell could make her feel sick, but she says she’s happy he is doing
better. Then he gets a call from some woman, sounds happy on the phone setting
a date. Juli listens to the conversation, she’s not happy.
When he’s done talking, she goes nuts,
especially when he says he was talking to his novia, who he really likes. When she
screams that she’s the only woman that he ca love, Prospi hears her.
Rosa and Deb are out for lunch when they
ran into Dante and Aurora. He doesn’t tell Rosa who she really is, but then
Rosa notices Juan and Pedro’s photos on the table.
Juan and Pedro try to cheer Lucas up about
his mom. Alondra comes running, wanting to know what is going on, so the
brothers plan to leave them alone. Lucas spots two shady guys in town and wants
to go back to the hospital. Pedro notices them, too.
Alone, Lucas and Alondra have a walk. They
say I love you and kiss, eat some ice cream. He wants to go back to the
hospital because he’s worried. The guys from before come closer, but the bodyguards
protecting Lucas intervene.
Sara asks Juan to talk in her office after
they disagree about the hour of some meeting they are supposed to have. Pedro
notices them and follows. He plays referee, as Sara and Juan quarrel about who
has priority over using the conference room. Juan says he is the President, so
he does, so Sara asks if the President can do outside business that affect the company,
too. Pedro is startled, as Sara reminds Juan she is the financial manager and
if he has been involved in money laundering, she will find out. Juan says he
has nothing to hide and if she is accusing him, she needs proof first. Pedro
asks them to calm down, but when Sara walks out, tells his brother that he
shouldn’t worry, his conscience is clean. Juan knows he’s innocent, but Pedro?
Also innocent, of course!
Bryan is back home, eating with his Abuelo,
because Jess didn’t pack him lunch. Times are changing, now he is the one
preparing the food, even when she’s not doing anything. Brandon arrives to eat,
too, and asks Augustin if he ever left the town. Never, he’s just like an
avocado tree with the strongest of roots.
Sal arrives to ask Augustin’s permission to
date 50 year old Adela. She gets home before the men can answer and Augustin
tells her Sal has come to ask them for her hand in marriage. Hehe. Bryan
mentions Lorenzo, but he no longer matters… long story short, Sal asks Adela to
be his novia. Maybe later he can take her out for ice cream and hold her hand
when nobody’s watching…
Corni is eating when Amado comes to talk
about his money problems. But Corni is penniless, too. Amado tells him to take
care with the bad guys, their real target was Corni back then. Corni gets
upset, wants to go to the police, but Amado warns him again, these guys are
very dangerous, they could hurt Modesto or Tadeo.
Back at the shop, Rosa wonders about the
pictures on the table, but Deb tries to say it was no big deal. Rosa thinks
that woman looked very trashy.
Later Prospi arrives saying he spent the
entire day with Juli. Deb and Rosa start quarrelling about Juli and Sara again,
and when Rosa calls Deb a homewrecker, Deb admits she loves wrecking homes, stealing
husbands, especially Rosa’s. Prospi tries to stop her, but Deb tells Rosa she
is her perfect husband’s lover. This earns her the biggest slap we’ve seen so
far.
Prospi asks the woman to behave. Rosa says
she will never forgive him. When she wants to throw Deb out, she is reminded
she is one of the owners now. Rosa can’t take it and she leaves, with Prospi
following her.
Dante comes to see Juan to his office and
notices that he’s upset, is it over the will being contested? Juan dislikes the
problems this will bring, but he is more upset over the fact that Sara thinks
he’s doing shady business, he’s sure Pedro is feeding her lies.
Juli is taking selfies with her tiny baby
bump when Alondra and Lucas arrive. She is not going to work, she has to
protect her pregnancy. When Lucas asks about Mateo, she says he went to a party
with some woman, what if he starts drinking again?
Lucas calls Juan immediately to tell him
about Mateo partying.
Sara has a meeting with another investor.
Pedro and Juan are present, too, but Pedro can’t focus, all he can think about
is his mother telling him that he is just as bad as she is. Sara gets him to focus
to agree on something about their meeting.
Rosa and Prospi arrive home, fighting
because of Deb. Jess admits that she knew about the affair, so did Alondra and
Juli. Rosa gets more upset, everyone has been mocking her. Prospi promises it’s
over, Jess points out that she hasn’t been a great wife either. They all asked
her to stay away from Deb, who is awful, but she wouldn’t listen. Propsi even
reminds Rosa that he asked for a divorce that she wouldn’t agree to because of the
town gossip. Rosa cries, she can’t believe Deb was with someone like him.
Prospi gets mad, wants her to admit she pushed him away. Rosa asks him to
leave, he says he’s staying to fix things. Rosa decides she will be the one to
leave.
Sara gets into her office, and she seems
tired, but then sees that someone has filled the walls with kids’ drawings,
most of them thanking her. She smiles and then Bea and a lot of kids come to
her office, they are the children of the people who work for the company and
who can now have a kindergarten.
Mateo is at home working, when Juan comes
rushing. He explains he never went out, didn’t drink (Juan checks), he’s
preparing a surprise for Brandon. And the next day he plans to go to the
company get involved in the kindergarten stuff with Sara. Juan admits he
worried a lot and Mateo understands that he has to win his trust back. Mateo wants
to tell him about his time at the clinic.
When he was there he was asked to choose a
person he hurt with his disease and he chose Juan for all the times he had to
take care of him. He apologizes, tries to get on his knees, and admits he was
hurting himself the most with his drinking. He can’t even tell when he lost
control, drinking became a routine, it freed him from his frustrations, from
thinking that he was unworthy of being loved. And he forgot to love himself. He’s
also learning to forgive himself. Juan is proud to see all this progress, he
hugs his brother.
Mateo asks if Lucas mentioned the party or
was it Julieta. Juan doesn’t answer, but promises to be by Mateo’s side. He is
also worried about all the problems surrounding Lucas and Sara going to war
over the inheritance. Mateo encourages him, they are Sev’s sons, too, Sara
needs to get ready if she wants to fight.
Lucas and Alondra are in his bedroom (or
ex-bedroom) and Alondra is willing to take things to the next level. She’s
ready. But Lucas wants it to be special, it’s not the good time for him.
Sara is very happy with the kindergarten
stuff, but notices Pedro is still distracted. He lies saying he’s worried about
Juan’s extracurricular activities, he will soon show her the proof he has (Juli
eavesdrops). Sara asks why didn’t he show her everything in front of Juan and
insists on knowing everything immediately. Dante arrives to interrupt them and
Pedro takes him to the study.
Pedro tells Dante Sara confronted Juan and
signed a very important contract with a new investor. She is ready to take the
presidency, they are only waiting for Simon’s return to vote. So is Dante on
his side or not?
Juli and Sara fight on the staircase (!!),
Juli thinks Sara should be careful with Pedro because he’s a womanizer. Sara
says she’s happy Juli is no longer at work, things are working smoothly in her
absence. Then she wants to leave, but Juli pretends to feel bad and then starts
screaming for Sara to leave her alone. As Juan and Mateo arrive she accuses
Sara of wanting to push her down the stairs.
Sara says she is lying. Mateo remembers how
he accidentally hit Julieta a while back and she made a huge fuss about it and
says he believes Sara. As Pedro and Dante come out of the study, Sara explains
what happened, while Juli insists accusing Sara of wanting to kill her and the
baby.
Rosa is packing her bags, while Prospi
tries to be honest: he only cheated with a woman, but he still feels very bad,
he made mistakes, can she forgive him? Rosa can’t, Deb was her friend, that is
the worst he could have done to her. She won’t even tell him where she’s going,
but Prospi wants her to listen to him before leaving. Rosa says she’s taking
his car, the car that he used with that woman. Prospi says they are both to be blamed,
they were so distanced when it all happened. Rosa asks if he would have been
able to forgive had she been the one to cheat. Prospi admits that he would have
been upset, too, but he still loves her. He spent all his life working and
being manipulated by her, always using him and his money. That earns him a
slap.
Sal and Adela arrive at the Bar holding
hands and Sal offers a round of drinks to all his customers, while kissing
Adela’s hand, arm and lips.
Juan and Sara are in the study and Sara
insists nothing happened, how can Mateo trust her more than he does? Juan says
Juli couldn’t lie about this! Frustrated, Sara says that yeah, she did want to
kill Julieta and goes towards the door. Juan grabs her waist, gets dangerously
close and then apologizes for touching her. He’s worried things are getting
worse with Julieta, Sara points out Juli has no place living in her house, they
are not even married. Juan insists she will live in Santa Catalina until the baby
is born or until they decide to get married or not.
Juli asks Alondra to stay with her, she’s
afraid Sara will be back. Alondra agrees, but asks if Sara really wanted to
push her. Modesto brings her a tea and when Alondra leaves, Juli explains to
Modesto that she came to Juan’s room because the one where she is staying is
very cold. She is very frightened, that savage Sara could harm her or the bebe.
The party is going strong at the bar, everyone
is dancing, so Amado takes advantage to steal some money from the cash
register. Adela sees the time and wants to go back to the ranch, so Sal offers
to take her.
The nasty guys arrive and Corni asks them
what happened when Amado was shot. They play dumb, so Corni tells them Lucas is
back. The guys can’t wait to teach Amado a lesson by going after his brother.
Jess tells Rosa she can’t go live at the
ranch, that’s not Juli’s house. Prospi agrees, this is her house, he can sleep
on the couch and they can go to therapy, try to save their marriage. He asks
her again not to leave, but she says it’s not that easy to do it. When she’s
gone, Prospi cries, he doesn’t allow Bryan or Jess to comfort him.
Deb wants to know who Dante was with at the
restaurant. Dante is more worried about what Sara was about to do against Julieta.
Lucas asks Bertha to prepare his room, he
might bring his mom to live here. They talk about her, he can’t love her like a
mother, but he doesn’t hate her, either; she’s hurting a lot. Bertha suggests homeopathy,
but Lucas says only a kidney transplant might work, but it’s too complicated to
do right now.
Deb asks Sara if he wanted to kill the
embarasada. Sara is not in the mood for this, she goes to talk to Lucas in the study.
Dante asks her if she would have preferred the baby or Juli to die. Either one
would have worked, she says, even Dante is disgusted. Deb asks if the woman in
the restaurant was Pedro and Juan’s mom.
Modesto informs Juan that Juli wants to
stay in his room because the guest bedroom is very cold. Juan agrees, but then
asks Juli to tell him the truth. She insists in her lie, Sara hates her, she
pushed her and now the baby is scared. She places his hand on her belly, saying
that she hopes the baby looks like him or his dad, and ends up just as successful.
Juan only wants a healthy baby. Julieta says she loves him and needs his
protection.
Brandon is sad Dulce’s last day in town
approaches. Dulce promises never to love anyone else, so Brandon asks again to
leave with her. She doesn’t want to but she promises to come back.
Pedro is cleaning his rifle when Deb knocks
on his door. He has some documents on his bed, and he places them on the
nightstand when she comes in. She wants the money he promised her, he says he’d
like to check Sara’s DNA analysis once again, make sure that she’s really Sev’s
daughter (!!!)
Deb looks scared, but says there is no
problem, he can ask a copy to Juan or Dante. She grabs his rifle, says if she
were younger, she would go after him. Pedro takes the rifle and rejects her,
she’s too old, so Deb decides he will get a bad review with Sara because of
this. Pedro points the rifle at her and asks her not to dare, Sara is almost
his.
Lucas trusts that Sara didn’t want to hurt
Julieta. Sara can’t stand her anymore, and Lucas knows Juli is the worst. But
Juan will never forget yherou, he never loved Juli the same way. Sara even
feels sorry for Juli and can’t understand what Juan is doing. But she thanks
Lucas for always being so nice to her. They kiss, both happy to have met. Then
she asks about his bio brothers and he says they are all very sad, because
their mom is very sick. He flashes back to the night of his attack and cries.
Pedro comes to visit Juli, mocking her, but
also congratulating her for the big lie. She should have even fallen down the
stairs. Juli says things are working great for her, and Pedro admits she is a
bit more advanced than he is, the kid scheme was very good. She says they both
did that!
Pedro is sure their plans will soon come to
fruition and he will never say anything about what they did. Juli is very sure
of herself, changes are coming and he better be on her side. Pedro is willing
to work with her, but his queen is still Sara.
Juan comes down the stairs when Rosa arrives
asking for room and board, saying that her marriage is dead. Deb comes down,
too, just as Sara and Lucas show up from the study and Rosa accuses Deb of
being Prospi’s lover.
Juan doesn’t want to interfere, she can
stay here for a while, but she has to talk to Prospi. Then he scolds Deb, who
points out Rosa is very good at playing the innocent, staying at the ranch will
surely bring back old memories for her. What old memories? Deb was one of Sev’s
lovers!
As Modest listens to the conversation, Rosa
starts denying an affair, while Deb says that at least she doesn’t hide her
true self. Pedro comes down the stairs and Deb fills him in about Rosa, too.
Pedro concludes that dad wanted to finish off the entire town. Rosa cries, this
is not true, whine, whine, but Pedro’s face is priceless, he is enjoying this
scene more than the Patio. And when Rosa says Deb is only lying because she was
involved with Prospi, Pedro (hilariously) makes it clear that he was aware of the
affair. And says it wasn’t his secret to tell. Rosa feels so ashamed, she is a
decent woman!
Sara says she can’t come to their house to
cause problems, so Rosa tries to shut her up saying she and her mom are
intruders in this house. Juan defends Sara, Pedro smiles mischievously. Then he
asks Sara to come with him to see Bea.
Modesto runs into the kitchen to tell
Bertha that this time Juan will kill him, because Deb said the truth about Rosa
and Sev. He knew about it, but never told Juan, another secret he kept. Bertha
thinks Juan will understand, wants to give Modesto a special massage. Sooner or
later Rosa’s secret would have come out, even she knew about it.
Outside, Sara doubts about leaving, Rosa
and Deb might be able to kill one another. Pedro thinks they should let them
handle this on their own, as a child he learned he can’t fix the parents’
problems.
Sara is still worried about the accusations
against Juan, Pedro assures her the truth will come out. Sara reminds him she
is contesting the will and Pedro finds this admirable. He doesn’t care about it,
he cares about her. And her mom will be fine defending herself.
He asks her to dinner before going to Bea’s
house. She is impressed by this human side of him, offers to pay for dinner.
Small product placement break.
Tadeo draws a picture of a boy with two
dads, Bea says this is very normal, and what matters is that he is happy. Tadeo
says he will give the drawing to papa Cornelio, he loves him more.
Prospi is upset, Jess and Bryan try to get
him to eat Bryan’s food, but give up eventually. Prospi cries over Rosa.
She is with Julieta, who can’t understand
why her mom and Deb are now fighting. And why is she here with a luggage? Rosa
says she is very upset with her, too, because she never told her dad and Deb
were involved. How could she? Juli says she just found out and she didn’t want
to say anything because she was trying to keep the family united. She and her
sisters did ask her repeatedly to get Deb out of the house but she wouldn’t
listen! She has to learn to become responsible for her decisions. Rosa admits
that she was stupid, doesn’t care about how Prospi is doing, she will be
staying with her for a while. Juli is worried about what Juan will say, so Rosa
says that Deb, that awful person, accused her of being Sev’s lover.
Lucas arrives with his mom at the ranch;
she asks to see Amado.
Sara and Pedro arrive at Bea’s and Tadeo is
happy to see Pedro. Sara says he has a great surprise for them and Pedro hands
her some documents: he bought the house from Cornelio for his son.
Alone with Bea, Sara says that she was
impressed with what Pedro did, too, but won’t Cornelio be furious when he finds
out? Bea doesn’t care! Sara says things at the ranch are worse every day… Rosa
came to live with them and she was Sev’s lover, too. Bea remembers how she
offended her in the past and she proved to be worse. She also points out that
Sev really was a womanizer, he was involved with Deb, Rosa, Paloma’s mom… what
if they end up being sisters??
Pedro is tucking Tadeo in and the boy asks if killing is bad. Pedro looks legitimately frightened.

Secrets are running out of the closet at breakneck speed. Rosa is facing her first karmic blow with the discovery that she has been cuckolded by a "friend," just as she had done to Catalina back in the day.
Modesto needs a serious vacation. Here's hoping he marries Berta at the end and they take their honeymoon in Paris.
I do not think Deborah was kidding or teasing when she said she loved to break up marriages and families. The only other honest statement she made all through this is when she told Dante she would be satisfied with the death of Juli, the fetus, or both. At least he still found that shocking.
Here is hoping this is the last time Deborah gets Sara to cave. The close-up of her hands on the desk was a dead giveaway.
Juli has sealed her fate now by accusing Sara of trying to murder her. Will she die on that staircase? I really despise her fake helplessness act.
There is a small chain restaurant in my nabe that serves the soup on the Cruz family's table in this episode. Seriously delicious in cold weather.
More later.
Well, Rosa finally has her eyes opened about her Prospi and Devil Deb. That was quite a slap she delivered to Deb. It was so forceful that Deb landed on the floor and lost her hat. Yikes .
My favorite part was Modesto moon walking backwards into the kitchen after walking into the group assembled in the living room while Deb was announcing that Rosa was another of Sev's harem .
The writers love to toy with viewers about the staircase drama. Juli is officially off the rails as she sets up Sara for trying to push her off the stairs of doom . Juli was BSC hearing Mateo on the phone with another woman . Ha. She wants both Juan and Mateo and will get neither.
I get a kick out of the musical bedrooms ...Sara takes the master bedroom . Then, I think Mateo gave Jul his bedroom because hers was "too cold." Now Jul has commandeered Juan's bedroom because the other bedroom was " too cold." Maybe it's the cold blood in her own veins as she tries to manipulate everybody.
Buying the house for Tadeo was nice of Pedro , but he also wants to rub it in Corny's defeated face . Pedro is cruel
The scene of Pedro \Deb\ rifle might be foreshadowing . I think Deb is very attracted to Pedro and would , indeed, like to get him into bed . Pedro was pretty blunt that she was too old. He seems to not like old people ..Auggie, Modesto
Did Rosa tell Deb that Aurora was a " ramera" when they saw her in the restaurant with Dante? Did Rosa recognize her ? Pedro will go crazy if he comes face to face with his awful mother .
Well, He's utterred what the patio has been contemplating ...Are Juli, Sara, and Bea sisters ?
We always knew Deb was bad but she even out did herself last night being disappointed that Juli and the baby weren't dead having not made a one way trip down the stairs.
Urban, It would be poetic justice if Juli ended up dead at the bottom if that staircase. Also, a couple of us could get another bingo square! ; ) I didn’t like Sara caving to her mother one more time. It must be tough.
I liked Mateo coming to Juli’s defense. It iscnice seeing a healthier Mateo.
It was so ironic and stupid that Jessica, who cannot successfully manage her own first days of married life, was giving advice to her mother and father. Give me a break! I am glad Rosa knows about Prospi and Deb and is leaving. Prospi needs a break.
Sure didn’t take long for Juli to find a reason to take up residence in Juan’s bed. Frees up a room for Rosa? Hiw long until a wedding ring is on Juli’s finger?
Time to vote for a new president of corp with all of the board members being present? Juan needs to wake up. IMO he seems to be sleepwalking through most of this with less than decisive action. He needs to let his brothers go; they are not his responsibility. His act has gotten old. I don’t like galanes that make me yawn and we are getting close. He was ready to believe Juli about the stairs incident? I don’t like stupid galanes either.
Lucas seems to have PTSD or something after his attack. Too bad his security couldn't keep Victorio (?) and the other goon in better check when they popped up.m
Loved Pedro telling Deb he didn’t like “old chicken broth.”
Urban, the soup that Auggie and the boys were eating looked tasty . I am enjoying a soup daughter just made with chicken and lots of veggies. These folks seem to eat a lot of soup . Soups are good ways to have tasty meals on a budget.
Yes, Pedro said "old chicken broth". LOL
Mateo's "phone call" from his "novia" in front of Juli was most likely a spam call trying to sell him an extended warranty for his car and he used it to his advantage.
Rosa slapping Deb was most satisfying.
I seriously wonder if Rosa really "did" Sev. All we saw was her coming out of the office after getting the loan for Prospi's business. Modesto and Viewerville assumed the worst. But I'm not losing sleep over it.
Well, gosh darn, we had a near "escaleracide" last night, but "almost" only counts in horseshoes. Close, but no cigar.
Sara kissed Lucas on the face, but not the mouth. (that really was a sweet scene)
- I'm crossing off "PROTAGONISTA KISSES MAN OTHER THAN GALÁN" from my Bingo card, because it doesn't specify on the mouth and my Bingo cards are getting bored with the lack of action.
Yes, Deb said Aurora looked like a ramera (whore). That is one vocabulary word I learned many, many telenovelas ago. lol
“Sal arrives to ask Augustin’s permission to date 50 year old Adela” had me laughing out loud.
Best moment was Modesto walking backward out of the room when Deb’s dirty little secret was being revealed. A bit of stress eating ensued 😊 followed by Berta’s powerful but not quite touching hovering of the hands on his back.
Why does everyone insist on having private conversations in the living room where everyone can hear them? Urban, “Juli has sealed her fate now by accusing Sara of trying to murder her” is right. The staircase of doom did not triumph last night.
Interesting Dante hadn’t told Deb about Aurora. Several pivotal revelations have been uncovered by dining out in plain sight. Would have been pointless to try and hide anything from Tinkerhell who seems to find out everything anyway.
"Well, gosh darn, we had a near "escaleracide" last night, but "almost" only counts in horseshoes. Close, but no cigar". Too funny doris!
“Pedro can’t focus, all he can think about is his mother telling him that he is just as bad as she is”. Adriana, that was an upsetting flashback and despite how horrible Pedro is now, you mourn for the pain of the child.
Rosa was clearly devastated by Prospi’s betrayal but more so only as her daughters didn’t tell her. She also seemed to have no guilt at all, failing to own up to her own transgressions. Unfortunately, her dirty laundry has been aired at the Del Monte’s and Deb will likely tell Prospi everything shortly.
“Lucas seems to have PTSD or something after his attack” was very intuitive Jarifa. Yes, that sums up how he is feeling and acting now perfectly.
Beatriz asked the million dollar question.
Adriana, thank you for everything – this was really sensational!
Diana
Diana, you made me laugh about the “private” discussions in the living room. Some things are just too silly.
Deb seems to operate on the opposite principals of the advice says " When in doubt, do the kindest thing ." Deb studies those around her and then chooses the words that will wound them the most. ...and always with that cold, callous grin. She seems to truly take pkeasure in the pain and hurt that she inflicts on others. It makes you wonder about her own parents and upbringing . Our Childhood, good or bad, shapes us into the adults we become for better or worse . I have become fascinated in the last few years on observing characters in these novelas and people in real life .
Liz
You noted "Our Childhood, good or bad, shapes us into the adults we become for better or worse". I wonder if the terrible childhood Pedro suffered damned him before he experienced Catalina's love. Perhaps the earliest years are the most formative. I also feel that some are born to be bad. There is a bad seed within their makeup, genetic or otherwise. The most loving of parents sometimes cannot change who a child is.
Diana
We have heard nothing of Deborah's family of origin so we may never know why she is the way she is. We're past the midpoint so it almost doesn't matter. It was satisfying to see Rosa hit her that hard. However, I will not rest until Sara does that.
OT
With 34 episodes remaining, double episodes, and if there is only one or two preemptions the finale is likely to be prior to Friday, October 14th. I think that Univision made this decision so that its replacement(s) will not debut between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is a time when ratings might dip a little.
Judy, we miss you and hope you are getting the same kicks out of this story as we are.
I am predicting that at the end of this series Simon will have to call in his best psych prof and his entire practice for whomever is left.
I shall return.
Sara's idea to make a kindergarten was great. I really liked what the kids did. Cute!
Juli is next level annoying. I'm tired of Juan believing everyone else but Sara.
"Deb says that at least she doesn’t hide her true self" true. I prefer her to Rosa. At least she doesn't pretend to be classy.
Love the comments of our patio.
I'd watch La Reina del Sur if I had watched the 2 previous seasons. I don't have Netflix so I won't be able to catch up, so... I'm anxiously waiting for La Madrastra on Univisión and La Mujer de mi Vida on Telemundo. I will be recapping both.
If we keep going like this with double episodes the whole thing will be over sooner, but I feel like many of the details we would otherwise debate, are kind of lost.
I don't really know where I stand on the whole "nature vs. nurture" subject. I think nurture plays a more important role, and I have my dad's family as an exemple. They were 4 siblings and the more spoiled ones ended up not being as well adjusted, trust worthy adults.
Then I look at my daughters and of course we try to raise them the same, but there are certain aspects of their personalities who will probably end up influencing them differently. Of course I have to believe they will both turn up OK, but I notice that they love one on one time and being made to feel special, so maybe that was Pedro's problem growing up.
I believe that he could have turned up differently if Sev and Cata would have realized how much he was hurting as a child. Sev put Juan on a pedestal and Pedro, who was already broken, couldn't stand that. And Cata, between all of Sev's lovers and having to deal with 5 kids, was probably overwhelmed, or focused mostly on Simon because she knew for a fact he was hurting.
Yay, Deb outed Rosa!
Boo, Rosa moved to the Del Monte mansion.
Boo, Juan is buying Julieta's BS and even thinking of marrying her. Poor noble soul.
ITA Modesto moonwalking out of the room was too funny.
I have my doubts that Sev went all the way with Rosa. Maybe he just hit first base. Maybe younger Rosa implied she'd did it with Sev back then to raise her prestige.
But my only real question about Rosa: Will she get a style makeover too?
I laughed at your question about Rosa getting a makeover. THAT would be fabulous.
I thought Rosa and Prospi would stay together. Not so sure now.
Diana
Adriana, our two daughters are adults now and still close, but they are very different . As a parent , you try to do the best you can and let your kids know that your love for them is unconditional. I think raising kids these days must be very challenging with the world the way it is.
