La herencia #63 Thursday 9/29/22 Notes From the Couch . . . Still in Awe of the Chancla!

This is in no way complete. Please feel free to add anything I omitted.

The was such an entertaining episode with all of the dysfunction of the DelMonte family and others in full bloom.

THE MAIN EVENT:

Pedro has invited Aurora to come to the hacienda to close their deal. He tells her she doesn't have to worry about Juan because he will come out and let her in. Dante will be there along with a notary. Pedro likes things done "legally." Later, Pedro tells Dante to meet them "he knows where" at the hacienda. Pedro plans to find out which of Aurora's instincts is stronger: "to eat or to live" which is the same line she used on him when offering him some bread topped with rat poison. That night, Aurora enters the barn AKA torture central with Aurora wondering why Pedro didn't want to do business in the house. Dante advises her  not to ask so many questions but thinks that  Pedro didn't want to risk Juan seeing her. The notary is coming with Pedro (sure). She is happy that things  are turning out better than expected. Dane chuckles and agrees. Pedro arrives but Aurora notices that there is no notary with him. There are no papers for her to sign. She tells them she knew this was a trap and pulls a gun on them.  Pedro assures her that the notary and the papers are coming. She calls him a liar and a coward just like his father who  abandoned her with him and Juan in her arms. Pedro tells her to shut up. Her finger is on the trigger when somebody appears at the top of the staircase behind Pedro but is seen by no one.  Pedro has gotten close to Aurora who is accusing him of always being a traitor especially with Juan. He took Juan's bread to feed himself when there was no food. Pedro tells her to shoot him and kill him. He knows she wanted to since he was a child. Dante tries to calm  her down and have her lower the gun by showing her papers in his briefcase. Everything is in order. She makes the mistake of grabbing some papers and glancing at them.  Pedro is on her in a second. Dante give him a cloth with chloroform and she soon loses consciousness. Pedro tells Dante to leave. Dante asks  him what is he going to do. Pedro tells him to leave a second time and not to ask stupid questions. We see that it was Modesto standing on the stairs as he quickly leaves. Pedro drags the unconscious Aurora into his special room.

EVERYTHING ELSE:

-Deb is dreaming of a woman saying she wants to talk to her. Later, she opens her eyes and she is back among the living! (looking fully made up and as good as ever)

-Juan tells Simón that their mother is back. He signed over his share of the refuge to her in an attempt to have her leave Pedro alone. He is afraid of what Pedro might do. Simón asks if he would be capable of . . . (Maybe killing her??? is implied)  Juan doesn't want to find out. Juan knows that she cannot sell her share but he says that she doesn't know that. Simón tells Juan that Sara has taken Pedro's place as VP while he recently has been away from  company business. She has done a good job. If he only didn't hate her so much . . . Juan cannot believe that he still hates her.

-Juan asks Simón to arrange a memorial mass for Severiano. Simón has no time. BTW, Juan wants to hear what really happened the day of the accident because Agustín said he saw Simón running from the SUV.  Did he leave their dad to die??? Sara saves Simón by interrupting  the conversation and quickly fainting into Juan's arms. Juan revives her when Bea brings some smelling salts.   Sara says she is fine. She doesn't want the doctor. (Dr.) Bea plays along saying the nausea and fainting are from all of the stress in her  life that probably gave her a case of gastritis. Sara readily agrees. Alone in her office, Sara admits to Bea she is pregnant. Bea tells her she won't be able to hide that fact much longer.  Lucas comes in exasperated and tells Bea and Sara all about the cruel things that Pedro said to Mateo. Bea tells her that is who the REAL Pedro is. That seems to give Sara pause. She will talk to him later.

-Juli asks a ranch hand Patrocinio to see a certain horse that nobody, not even Mateo , has been able to tame.

-Berta finds a receipt for a bottle of wine after reading on line that Deb was poisoned by a bottle of wine.  She tries to hide it from Rosa but Rosa makes her hand it over. Rosa is all excited. The wine must be the surprise that Prospi has been promising her.  Berta has to remind her that Deb was poisoned via a bottle of wine. Rosa insists it would be impossible for Prospi to poison a mosquito . Berta thinks it would be different if it were a person threatening to destroy his family. Berta was not able to find the bottle he bought. If Deb were to die, they could take the fabric store away Rosa!!

-Jessica appears and talks about getting a divorce.  Rosa asks her not to do that. Jessica sees no way out.  Rosa asks her to think about it; to reconsider. She does her own riff on Ruth from the Old Testament: His people will be your people, his house will be your house . . . Jessica insists that  she will not live with the Cruz family again. Rosa tells her to pack up her things because  Rosa is ready to deliver her to the Cruz family for her own good. (of course!!)

-BEST COMEDY OF THE NIGHT: That same night, Rosa explains that Jessica is the one who got married and got herself into this mess.  She puts the old headscarf (I would say babushka) on her head to make her look more like a pathetic victim for when she she arrives at the Cruz house. Rosa says none of her daughters will suffer the dishonor of a husband leaving her. Jessica insists that she is not going.  Brayan is cheating on her. She turns around to go back to her room when Rosa takes off the LEGENDARY CHANCLA (flip flop).  We hear it whoosh through the air and it hits Jessica square in the back of her head. Berta is shocked!!!  Rosa says that is  how her mother, may she rest in peace, raised her. She tells Jessica she is going either the easy way or the hard way. Berta criticizes Rosa for using her chancla. Rosa says nothing else has worked and it really wasn't a very hard  "chanclazo" but more of a "zapatazo" (a hit with a shoe) Prospi arrives and Jessica runs to her father saying that the chancla  hit her so hard it  nearly broke her neck.   Prospi asks Rosa  why  she did it. Rosa says that is how she was brought up and  makes a point of the excellent person she grew up to be. She commandeers Prospi to assist her in delivering Jessica to her husband at the Cruz house.

-At the cantina, Cornelio brings back the bottle of wine that he "borrowed"  from Sal. ???? (Hope it is still unopened)  Cornelio tells Prospi the story of the scar on his face and how Deb  is paying for  it now. He hopes she is paid back in triple for all of the evil she has done.

-Lucas explains to Juan he was late because Mateo was very upset. Pedro was telling  all sort of crazy things to Mateo like  their parents never loved him like the rest of them, etc.  Juan tries to call Pedro but there is no answer. Juan goes to  find him. Lucas warns him  about getting into a fight with Pedro let alone here at the company. Juan says he will protect his brothers. Lucas agrees that is what he says but that hasn't changed anything with Pedro who has been very strange as of late.

-Juan confronts Pedro about what he said to Mateo about their parents not loving him because he was an alcoholic. Pedro blame it all on gossipy Lucas. Juan also asks about him warning Lucas from getting involved with Sara. Pedro makes it clear he doesn't want any of the brothers around Sara except for him. Juan doesn't want Pedro doing any more damage to Mateo or to any of their brothers.

-Sal talks with Dulce about Brandon. She has a photo on her phone of Mati with that backpack. She will send it  to him. Paloma is able to prove Brandon's innocence with the photo. The commander says they still have to prove that the photo is authentic. Mati finally confesses and Brandon is freed without any charges.  Mati confesses that she did it out of jealousy.

-Juan starts to eat a cookie and then has a realization of what could be happening when he has time to think about Sara fainting and then remembering their lovemaking. He nervously just keeps eating that cookie (and maybe a lot more) as he considers the possibility.

-Sara wants to talk to Pedro. Sorry, he has to meet with Mr. Villanueva TODAY.  They go through the niceties of asking how she and her mother are doing. Sara insists on  telling him what she must whatever the case is with Mr. Villanueva: they need to put some distance between them. Pedro insists she is the only woman he has ever loved besides his mother Catalina and he has no plans of losing her. She says she decided to give it a chance with him but things have happened that have changed everything. He accuses her of still being in love with Juan. She tells him he cannot force her to feel things for him that she doesn't. His message is that he loves her and she will love him sooner or later.  He walks out on  her.

-Lucas asks Pedro for some reports that Juan requested and Pedro punches him in the  face for gossiping about him to Juan. Juan finally appears on the scene to stop him. Juan easily grabs Pedro and nearly twists his arm  out of the socket with the warning not to touch Lucas again. Another day,  another show at Avocado Central!  Sara tells Juan that Pedro is furious because she clarified a few things with him. Juan tells her that he loves her and that will never change. They try not to  . . . but end up kissing in plain view in his office.  Another day, another show at Avocado Central!!! A double feature!

-Simón comes home only to find that Paloma is not there but is helping the Cruz family at  the police station. He is put out that she didn't let him know what she was doing AGAIN. Juli taunts him saying he probably was the one who poisoned Deb. BTW, his wife discovered that the he was looking up anti-depressives on his laptop. That could cause somebody to go into a coma. Simón says he thought that her poison would have lessened with her pregnancy but she is still a harpy. Juli would rather be a harpy than a murderer. Simón says that she is defaming him and that could really cost her. Juli says she is only repeating what she heard. Modesto asks:  Who is she to slander Simón?? Wasn't it enough to destroy Mateo??? She gets on his case for calling her "tú." Modesto tells her she has become unbearable. Simón  says she always was but fooled them. She tells them if they do not support her, they can both get out of the house. Mateo appears wanting to talk to her without arguing.

-Mateo talks to Juli. Bottom line: He says he is ready to move on. He knows that the  baby she is not his.  Juli doesn't want to discuss anything about the baby. She doesn't care what Mateo does. The baby will be his nephew!!! She wants the DNA test results back  He says he burned them but he really has them in a drawer.  He thinks about finding out the truth  at the lab itself.

-Sal is about to leave Adela and her family at their home. Adela says he can stay because he acted so much like a father. They all tell Brandon that he should have learned some valuable lessons from his experience. Brandon tells Agustín that he will no longer be looking for his dad because he found a father in Sal.

-As soon as Juan and Sara arrive at the house, Juli is all over him making her  "ownership" of Juan apparent.  Later, Sara is  going to her room and Juan meets her in the hall saying he wants to explain a few things to her. She says there is nothing to explain because he and Juli are married.  Juli appears telling her to not bother Juan because he is a married man. Juli objects to Juan taking to Sara alone but  Juan insists.  He will meet her in the office.  In her room, Sara wonders what to do. At times like this, she really needs her mother. On his way to the office, Juan is looking for Modesto and cannot find him because unbeknownst to him he is spying  at torture central. Sara appears in the office telling Juan he is right. They need to talk.

Jarifa, thank you for an excellent job with the last two episodes. I've been feeling sick the last few days and yesterday I had a day off, so I spent it all in bed, trying to pull myself together. I did manage to catch up with the show, though, and so much has happened.

Pedro becoming truly unhinged and Sara being aware is a relief. I do hope nobody stops him from torturing Aurora, though, she deserves this and more.

Sara needs to tell Juan she's pregnant. With two babies on the way, my guess is only one will be born. Question is which one?

I cheered for Rosa when she told Jess to go live with her husband. Jess deserves a good lesson in maturity. I'd say same goes for Alondra, who should probably get to know a person for herslef before starting to despise her. Her dislike of Sara is becoming very annoying.

Deb is awake! Yes, finally, we'll have some fun again!

If Mateo investigates the lab and figures out someone tampered with the results, I hope he goes straight to Juan with his discoveries, Julieta needs to get down!!
More later! Thanks again, Jarifa!

Thanks for the amazing "Notes from the Couch", aka recap, Jarifa. At least you and Adriana won't have to recap double episodes anymore.

My favourite was: "Another day, another show at Avocado Central!!!" The employees will DEFINITELY NOT get bored at work!

WTF was Rosa thinking when she hit Jessica? (Also, why do so many characters have gringo names?)
"Rosa says that is how her mother, may she rest in peace, raised her. " And we can see the results. Perfect example of why NOT to hit your kids.

Sara has to tell the truth to Juan. He has figured it out anyway and it will start showing.

"With two babies on the way, my guess is only one will be born. Question is which one?" My guess is that Sara's baby will survive and Juli will die along with her Matea/Severianito.

I'm tired of Jessica. Brandon deserves better.

"I do hope nobody stops him from torturing Aurora, though, she deserves this and more." ITA, Adriana. Her torture will be justified.

LOL, since Deb is awake, I'm waiting for a scene where Rosa hits her with her chancla and Deb hits Rosa with her hat(s). Must see TV!

Exceptional recap, Jarifa. Thank you!

Gracias, Jarifa.

Good stuff. Aurora needs to die and I don't care who kills her. She will be on the next Toxic Mothers list despite her limited screen time for her attempt on the boys' lives.

Nothing new to say about Jessica, but Rosa goes on that list, too. Throwing her shoe at Jessica and hitting her head adds to her toxicity. Rosa's mother sounds like a real piece of work.

What if Deborah has amnesia or fakes it?

Finally, I don't know why anyone is still working at Avocados R Us in view of the apparent instability of its owners.

More later.

Things were really moving last night.

How long before the perfectly maintained Deb is back out on the prowl????

How will Jessica be received at the Cruz household?

I hope we see no more of Aurora dead or alive.

FINALLY, Sara is getting the feeling that Pedro is not quite right.

I could have died laughing because Jessica never heard or saw the chancla coming. It was the first time I had ever seen the legendary chancla being launched in a novela.

Thank you Jarifa, your recap is even more fun than the episode!

I am not in favor of throwing shoes at your child and I would never do it, but I gotta admit it was funny to watch, so random and unexpected. I agree it was comic relief.

Adriana, I agree about Alondra her sudden jealousy of Sara is the most inorganic and off putting development. It’s like the writers said: ‘Alondra isn’t really doing anything, let’s make her jealous of Sara’! She was vanilla and uninteresting before now she’s annoying.

Pedro wore blue!!! Am I the only person who noticed that? Did he run out of black? Aurora keeps saying she understands Pedro and she wants to control him but the fact that she showed up to to torture room is proof positive she has no idea who he is!!!

Is Matti going to jail for drugs? Not that I care but it was so off. She admitted she set up Brandon and Adela confronts her and Matti’s mom is just like‘don’t worry she’s grounded’ lol she should be under arrest!!! Where did she get the drugs??

I can’t stand Juli and her arrogance and entitlement which means the actress is doing an excellent job!

Pedro was scary in his not accepting Sara’s rejection!!! Is she smart enough to be scared??

I would not want to work at Avocado Central!

Thank you Jarifa, for your Notes from the couch and your hilarious title!

La chanclazo had me cracking up. It is a Mexican thing and someone threw one in another telenovela, several years ago. That was my introduction to it.
.....this YouTube video is a hoot and I think it was shared here, at that time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSicdnahJ7o
Just search "chancla" there and more videos show up.

Pedro thinks he can force or bully Sara into loving him? He has gone off the rails, but we knew that already. It's a good thing she is starting to see it.

Brandon's storyline got wrapped up nicely. And quickly. Filler.

Adriana, sorry to hear you were not feeling well and hope you feel better soon. ITA that if Mateo uncovers the truth, he needs to let Juan know ASAP. The hemming and hawing so many characters do in these novelas drives me nuts sometimes. Which baby will survive is a very good question.

Weirdo, I could get into THE CHANCLA vs. THE HAT. Both Rosa and Deb are cartoonish in their own way. ITA that Brandon deserves better. What if he refuses to take Jessica back?

Urban, yes! Aurora needs a spot on the toxic mother list. She has been “toxic” in more ways than one considering the rat poison.

Darcy, I thought I had missed something about Darcy’s “sentence” in juvy, too. So, she gets to go home. They dropped the ball on that one.

doris, yes! The chancla is a Mexican thing. Thank you for the youtube link to some entertaining chancla fare. I am still squares away from a bingo! Wah!

Trader Joe’s beckons! Later!

Darcy, whoopsie! Typo! that should have been “Mati’s” sentence.

"LOL, since Deb is awake, I'm waiting for a scene where Rosa hits her with her chancla and Deb hits Rosa with her hat(s). Must see TV!"
Oh, that reminds me of a character called "Oddjob" in an old James Bond film who would throw his razor edged hat and kill people. LOL

Thanks, Jarifa, great detailed read. Loved the comparison of Jessica and the Bible!

So relieved Sara has finally realized Pedro is no good. But I agree, she doesn’t know how bad he is. None of the family do. And what will Modesto do with his info? I’m afraid he’s going to try to be a hero on his own.

I agree about Alondra. She is listening to big sister Juli and parroting what she says about Sara.

I felt like Deb had her smile on under the oxygen mask. Will we ever see her without it? But she’s back, let the fun begin! But I did wonder if the coma would change her. What if she comes out of it nice! That would not be fun.

Sal has done a complete turn around. He wasn’t very nice at first, now he’s this caring man, sharing in people’s troubles and happiness!

Guess Sara will have an accident on a horse! I think both babies will live but Juli will go crazy and Mateo will have the baby. Juli is not maternal, the baby was a way to control Juan. And loved when Juan twisted Pedro’s arm. No one realizes how dangerous Pedro really is! Except Dante, who’s son seems to have disappeared before he really appeared!

Liz

"Oh, that reminds me of a character called "Oddjob" in an old James Bond film who would throw his razor edged hat and kill people. LOL" had me laughing continuously for 30 seconds. Thanks for that, doris, I really needed it.

ITA about Alondra. "She was vanilla and uninteresting before now she’s annoying." Couldn't have put it better, Darcy!

Mati's sentence didn't make any sense, mostly because there was NO sentence. So she was smuggling drugs and framed someone else and she can go home? QTH???

"She has been “toxic” in more ways than one considering the rat poison." Was spot on, Jarifa!

"I’m afraid he’s going to try to be a hero on his own." True, Liz. I hope he doesn't.

Interesting theory about the babies, Liz...

Jarifa, a phenomenal recap that had me on the edge of my seat.

Too many favorites to list them all but “it really wasn't a very hard "chanclazo" but more of a "zapatazo" (a hit with a shoe)”; “She puts the old headscarf (I would say babushka) on her head to make her look more like a pathetic victim…” and “Another day, another show at Avocado Central!!! A double feature!” were excellent. One line better than the next.

We know Aurora is a monster but offering Pedro poison topped bread with a choice of "to eat or to live" was inhuman. I would put Aurora’s chances of surviving at 0%. But why oh why did Modesto have to be there?

“They try not to . . . but end up kissing in plain view in his office”. I was so happy to see Juan and Sara give in to their love. Brash, overconfident Juli is not only trying to bulldoze Sara, but now Simon! Does she have a death wish? And while Simon readily admitted that Sara “has done a good job. If he only didn't hate her so much”, Juli now has her matador outfit on and is wildly waving red to snorting bull Simon.

“Juli asks a ranch hand Patrocinio to see a certain horse that nobody, not even Mateo, has been able to tame”. Uh oh. You don’t need to be the amazing Kreskin to surmise where this is going.

“Pedro who has been very strange as of late.” Of late, Lucas? Where’ve you been?

“Pedro wore blue!!! Am I the only person who noticed that? Did he run out of black?” made me smile Darcy. And doris, I well remember "Oddjob" – too funny!

Jarifa, thank you for this amazing recap and your razor-sharp wit…

Diana

Actually, Pedro has worn blue before. I had been wondering all along whether he was going to be in black for the whole series, like Rogelio of LQNPA who had a wardrobe closet full of multiples of the same black shirt and trousers. Both actors look stunning in black, that is for sure.

I do hope Modesto survives this tale.

Jarifa, you are amazing as you turn out these great recaps of the intensifying crazy. Thank you so much. I am grateful.

The comments have been fun to read. I am a big fan of flipflops, and I own a lot of them. Now i learned the Spanish word for them. I have never hit anyone with my flip.

Aurora created a monster , and now she has confronted that monster. I cringe at the thought of anyone being tortured ...even the monster mother that is Aurora. She and the child she ruined are both doomed. It is a tragedy. I was curious about the figure behind Pedro. I thought it was Mateo. What will Modesto do? I hope he will tell Juan.

I get a big kick out of watching that staircase. At the end of the episode , Sara heads up the staircase...followed closely by Juan....who is followed ( you guessed it) by the ever present , ever jealous Juli . Follow the leader .

I think Pedro has punched out three of his brothers . Why don't they gang up on him and give him a taste of his own medicine.

Pedro is quickly descending into the darkness of his damaged soul . He is lost. Karma.

I don't think Dante has a family . Maybe Pedro is his son . He may have made up a wife to avoid marrying Deb.

When Deb's eyes snapped open, it reminded me of a robot. A crazy , evil Stepford nonwife. She's back !!!

Gracias, Jarifa. Super "notes," aka "recap." Excellent coverage of "all the dysfunction ... in full bloom."

I too laughed when Rosa threw the chancla. Lol! She should try out for quarterback.

I've been wondering exactly where Pedro's dungeon of torture is located. IIRC Pedro said earlier that they use to use it for slaughtering pigs or something like that. Now Modesto's there. Ugh.

It's amazing no one working at Avocado Central hasn't thought of recording the crazy outbursts there and posting them on social media.

P.s. I like black and wear it a lot. I like a guy in a black shirt with a black suit or dark gray suit , so i think Pedro looks good even though he has become pure evil .

Adriana, I hope you feel better after your day off from work and have a chill weekend.

Adriana, please rest and take care of yourself...

"Deb is awake! Yes, finally, we'll have some fun again!" 😊

Diana

Something must be wrong with me, because I found that zapataso moment the funniest thing in the whole show. I would never do that to one of my daughters (at the very least, not until their teen years), but Jess is such a spoiled little brat, I don't think Rosa caused any damage that wasn't there before.

If Juli knew how much "fun" Juan and Sara are having at the office, she'd definitely decide she's doing better and go back to work. I'm kind of surprised she's staying home, as she has a no risk pregnancy as far as we know and it would be in her interest to keep an eye on Sara and Juan at all time. Unless she prefers to stay close to Mateo...

Juan might think Pedro is turning crazy because of Aurora being around, but he was already there and deep down Juan knows it. I'm not really sure Aurora triggered anything in him, I think he would have gotten where he is now regardless, because of Sara's pregnancy, her refusal to be with him and his futile attempts to steal Juan's spot at the company.

Still not feeling 100% and I work this weekend, so boohoo! I could sure use Mateo's instant cure.

" I too laughed when Rosa threw the chancla. Lol! She should try out for quarterback."
Right? LOL These Mexican women must practice often to have such good aim. BwaHahahaaa! ;-)

ADRIANA - I hope it isn't COVID19 and you feel better soon. ♥♥♥

The flying flipflop Made me think of my mother's stories about her school days and how one teacher used to hurl blackboard erasers at students. I'll admit that I sometimes remembered that particular story while I was standing at the blackboard or whiteboard teaching.

OT..Adriana, I hope you feel better very soon.

Great comments as always.

OT, Adriana, I also hope it isn't COVID and that you feel better soon. Sending good vibes rights now.

Hi, guys, thank you for checking up on me. I don't think it's covid, I had a test when I started getting a running nose. I don't have any of the regular covid symptoms, either, no fever or muscle pain, and I've had three vaccines, sooo...
Who knows, I haven't had a cold in over two years, nature might be catching up to me.

Liz, excellent point because it did look like Deb was smiling under her oxygen mask. I imagine she will time her “regaining her consciousness” to serve herself best. She can plot 24/7 for as long as she wants.

Weirdo, I remember OddJob. He was very efficient.

Diana, great comparison of Juli to a matador with Simón as a bull. The actor Emmanuel Palomares is making me hate Simón to the point I can barely stomach to watch or hear him. I, too, am sorry that Modesto had to be there because in novela world there probably will be somebody that saw him entering or leaving torture central and he is a bad liar.

Susanlynn, I, too, find it odd that the brothers have allowed Pedro to run roughshod over them and leaving the “discipline” up to Juan. Juan is not Severiano and has no authority over Pedro who is his peer. ITA that the brothers should gang up on him and give him a taste of his own medicine.

Niecie, great suggestion that Rosa try out for quarterback. The “working conditions” at Avocado Central would be great fodder for social media. They could use it as another PSA!

Adriana, nothing wrong with you laughing at the chanclazo because that would mean there would be something wrong with me. ¡No puede ser! LOL

Adriana - when I had COVID19 in July, all I had was a very sore throat and malaise. No fever at all. It took three days of negative tests before I had a large enough viral load to finally test positive. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Jarifa, gracias for the great recap. I say Jess was lucky that Rosa wasn't wearing wooden clogs!

I recall Pedro in a bright royal blue suit at an event with Sara a while back. He looked really good!

Doris- Odd Job! Remember him well. Maybe next 007 movie could have a villain throwing a razor edged chancla.

I feel sorry for Pedro because he could have been a good man like Juan ( and more entertaining), but his childhood left him too damaged. What a waste.
Earlier on, I was hopeful he could be redeemed, but once he started the torture stuff, I knew he was lost.
Aurora probably had a horrific childhood, too. Abuse can be learned and passed down generation after generation. But, no excuse for abuser to treat own child like that.

Here's my prediction re: Sara & Julie.
Julie will trick Sara into riding the untamed horse. The horse is uncontrollable, bucks Sara off, and trammels Julie into the dirt. Cliffhanger until next episode! No, I haven't watched ahead or read anything about it.

Beth S

Oops, meant horse tramples Julie....

Beth S, great to “see you” on the patio. Don’t be a stranger! “Razor edged chancla” love it. Interesting prediction. Would either of the babies survive? Would Juli survive?

Jarifa, qué amable. I always intend to comment, but don't get to it til late afternoon. By then, seems too late for that episode. Anyhow, I am enjoying the show and love that the recaps usually mention something I missed!

Beth S
