La herencia #71 Tuesday 10/11/21 The Tea Cup Tango--OR--Juli Jumps Off the Deep End
Here we go!
1. At her apartment, Sara first makes Juan's cup of tea and then talks with Juan and finds out that Pedro is the owner of Campo Verde. That is where all of their clients are going. Psycho Pedro was also the one who stole the money from the company and their father. Juan admits that he lied to protect him. Sara is looking less than impressed.
2. Prospi is angrily telling Berta and Rosa that Mateo will not be putting a foot in their home again. He also announces that as far as Alondra is concerned, he does not want her near any of the Del Monte boys either. He now knows that Sal was right about those damn Del Montes.
3. At Adela's house, Adela tells Jessica that she never had any kind of friendship with Pedro. It was all about the work but she does remember one time when he did come by the house. She remembers Pedro threatening them by telling them to get used to leaving the hacienda because that if the hacienda had too much of something, it was hired help. She tells Jessica and Brandon about the threat and how Pedro seemed like somebody she didn't know. Jessica finds that weird. Adela goes on to explain that Pedro has always been different from his brothers. As for Brayan, he told her he wanted to quit working at the hacienda, but never told her why. Jessica wonders if Pedro threatened him which gives Adela something to think about.
4. Back at the cantina, Sal, Agustín, Paloma and Simón are talking. Paloma says that Simón always talks about Severiano. She wants to know about his mother. Simón says that she was a saint. She was a friendly, kind and smart woman with a sweet heart full of good intentions. Agustín happens to be drunk and reminds them all that children and drunks tell the truth as he goes on about how Simón's mother was a true saint excusing all of her husbands infidelities. Paloma would rather hear just the nice things. Agustín says things are what they are. He loved Severiano but he was a real skirt-chaser! Simón has to agree. Agustín starts to list all of the women. There was Deb, Irma, Rosa . . . Simón disagrees on Rosa. He says she swears that isn't true. Agustín asks him if he really believes her. Even Modesto knew about it.
5. Lucas and Alondra are kissing at the hacienda just off the living room, when they are disturbed by Psycho Pedro stomping up the staircase. They continue.
6. The tea cup passes back and forth between Sara and Juan but nobody drinks from it. In the meantime, Juan tells Sara that he wishes all of this were not true but he is telling her because he cannot deal with it anymore. He couldn't tell Modesto because it would be too much for him to take. He tells her that his father knew about Juan stealing as well as Dante. Dante helped Psycho Pedro draw up the papers for the Campo Verde company. He supposedly investigated it but it turned out to be all lies. Sara and Juan agree that they do not like this situation one bit. Juan is going to find out what is going on between Pedro and Dante. Sara wonders what the reason would be to do what they did. All Juan knows is that Dante lied to him and not just about this. He said one of his children was in the hospital and that was not true either. It makes no sense that he would say that Campo Verde belongs to Psycho Pedro when earlier he supported him by lying at the meeting. What to make of it unless they have betrayed each other?
7. Paloma is ready to go home but Simón needs Agustín to clarify that Rosa was with Severiano before Prospi. Sal is ready to call it a night but Agustín insists that the answer is YES! as Brayan escorts him home. Simón is ready to leave, too. Sal says the drinks were on the house. Only Cornelio is left with his ever present brewski ending to clear his head.
8. Sara is making a fresh hot cup of tea. (Guess nobody drank the previous cup) (They are playing creepy suspenseful music, uh, oh) Juan says these are only his suspicions. It is a possibility that they betrayed each other but he cannot be sure about anything. Sara agrees. Juan explains that he pledged to protect Pedro from everything even himself and death..
9. Sara goes to take a drink of the tea and Deb just happens to be walking by (WTH??) and knocks the cup out of her hand so she doesn't drink it. (Would she not have removed the poisonous tea bags from the apartment???) Deb asks if she does not remember that she told her that she was not to drink tea while pregnant because she could hurt the baby??? Juan is pleased that Deb is taking such good care of Sara but wisely thinks it is time of him to go.
10. Deb is happy that Juan has gone. It is bed time. Sara says no. They have to talk. Deb explains that she is very tired and the doctor told her that she has to get enough sleep. Sara insists that they talk now. Sara wants to know why she went to the hacienda. Deb says that she had to take care of some personal matters. Sara disagrees saying she was looking for trouble with the Del Montes. Why did she rip up the portrait of Severiano and Catalina? Deb says they exaggerate everything she does. Sara says she saw it and heard about it all herself. They will talk tomorrow. Sara tells her to clean up the tea mess and goes to bed.
11. Deb clears away the tea cups and goes into the kitchen where she throws away the tea and tea bags.
12. The next day, Juan arrives at the office where Bruno tells him that he tried to contact Dante, as he asked him to do, but he has not been able to locate him. Juan calls Dante's wife Mrs. Alamillo in an attempt to contact him. She is worried because she has not been in contact with him since yesterday and she is very worried.
13. Lucas and Alondra wake up in bed together. He thanks her for loving him and taking care of his doubts. She smiles saying she is still a little angry for what he did to her sister. He says you have to force some people to open their eyes. She ends up agreeing. She will go see her knowing she must be feeling really bad.
14. At Adela's, Agustín is suffering from a hangover. He swears he will never do this again to himself, except maybe not so badly next time. Before he leaves, Adela wants Brayan to tell her why he said that he talked to Sara about a raise. Did Pedro have something to say about it? Jessica says she went to the hacienda and Sara told her everything. Brayan tells her that he doesn't want her going to the hacienda PERIOD. He isn't talking and leaves just as Prospi is going to knock on the door.
15. Sara comes to breakfast and Deb wonders if she is over being angry. Sara has something tell her and hopes that she will not get upset. She is going back to live at the hacienda. Deb is all excited and jumps up to pack their bags. Unfortunately for her, Sara is not done talking. Sara says her mother did not hear her. SHE is going back to the hacienda, not her. Deb says that she cannot do that to her. Sara says that is what is going to happen and they won't be discussing it. Deb starts to cry begging her saying she is only looking out for her wellbeing. She has sacrificed everything for her. Sara tells her not to cry because she isn't going to fall for that. She is so grateful that her mother is alive but she really thought that after what her mother had been through being at death's door, she would have changed but that didn't happen. She is still the same. Deb says that Sara cannot say that. Doesn't her mother matter to her? Sara is a bad daughter and ungrateful. She is only treating her like this because now she has Juan Del Monte at her side. Sara tells her enough already. They both know what she is saying is not true. Sara is just sick of her being such a manipulator. Deb slaps her. Sara smiles sadly and says that she never expected her to slap her at this point in her life. In tears, Deb tries to explain that Sara was just driving her crazy with what she was saying and tells her it will not happen again. Sara walks away agreeing it won't be happening again. Sara leaves the apartment as sobbing Deb calls Dante (AKA estúpido to her) who isn't answering. She puts on a black (critter free) hat and is greeted by the police inspector as she goes to leave.
16. The inspector presumes that Deb is still under a doctor's care because she is still not well. Deb agrees saying she has not fully recuperated yet. He has the results of the analysis of the contents of the bottle of wine. It contained a great quantity of methanol. Most assuredly, somebody wanted to kill her. They questioned the employees of the postal office that sent the bottle but were unable to come up with any answers. He assures her that they are not quitting there and asks her if there is anyone who would want to kill her. Without missing a beat, Deb says that damn Dante Alamillo would want to. She cannot find him anywhere. He is the only one to blame. The inspector understands and will put out an arrest warrant for him so he can be questioned.
17. Rosa is telling Berta that she always thought that social status would make you happy. All you had to do was arrange good marriages for your daughters, live in a mansion and show everyone that money was not a problem. She now realizes that doesn't do it. She doesn't want her daughters to look in a mirror one day and not recognize themselves as she can't now. Berta tells her not to lose her faith in trying to make things right for her family. Rosa says she cannot stop being who she is but she can begin to forgive herself because her daughters need a strong mother.
18. Juli is looking cool as a cucumber as she gets ready for the day.
19. At the cantina, Cornelio tells Brayan that they have to make sure that Juan finds out today what Pedro has been doing at the warehouse (AKA torture central). Modesto breaks up the conversation asking what they are up to lately with all of the secretive conversations they have been having. Cornelio thinks it is time they tell Modesto. Brayan disagrees but it turns out that Modesto already knows via Cornelio how Psycho Pedro tortured him until he almost died. Cornelio adds that Psycho Pedro is a dangerous man. (DUH!) He adds that he wanted to kill him and Brayan and Tadeo could also be in danger. He wants to tell Juan. He has to know.
20. Back at Avocado Central, Juan tells Sara that Dante's wife has not heard from him either. Juli interrupts the conversation by appearing to create a scene and she publicly pronounces them "her husband and his lover." Mateo tells her to stop humiliating herself. Juli denies doing that. She lets them all know that Sara is the same as her mother: a nobody and a home wrecker! Juan tells her not to call Sara that. As the employees look on yet another first class dramatic performance by their executives, Juli says she doesn't feel like being quiet. Sara and Juan will be going to hell together. Simón tries to play therapist and guide Juli to talk with him somewhere else. He tells her to calm down and to think about the baby. She grabs a pair of scissors out of her purse and holds them like a knife saying this is for Sara the damn wretch who snatched everything from her. She is the one who is responsible and she hopes that this is forever on her conscience. Instead of going for Sara, she points the scissors at the own belly. Somebody shouts NO! NO! NO!
21. Modesto does not agree and tells Cornelio and Brayan them not to cause problems for themselves. (Uh, hasn't Psycho Pedro ALREADY involved them???) Cornelio disagrees saying that by covering for Psycho Pedro they will only put more people in danger. Sal wants to know what is going on. Cornelio says Psycho Pedro is a murderer and if they do not do anything, he will kill them all. Modesto asks them not to put themselves at risk. He knows how Psycho Pedro is and they will be in danger. Cornelio and Brayan decide to go and tell Juan what kind of brother he has. They leave and Modesto gets out his phone so he can warn Juan what is going to happen. Sal takes his brother's phone and tells him to stop thinking of the Del Montes's first all the time. Modesto insists that he is thinking of Cornelio and Brayan first because of what could happen to them.
22. The shout distracts Juli as everyone tries to talk sense to her. Juli wildly dances around with the scissors in her hand ready to stab herself. Juan apologizes, Sara apologizes. They try to talk to her about her baby. (BTW, Yes, it looks like Bea is still going out with Juan's assistant Bruno) She decides that she is going to stab herself and ruin Mateo's life. He is to blame. Simón and Lucas drag an hysterical Mateo out of the space. As Sara tries to calm her down, Juli admits to hating Sara and having manipulated the fertilizers to get her away from Juan. She tells Sara that she wanted to win everything but she couldn't. Now she is going to lose. Sara admits she has lost and everything will be forgotten. As she goes for Sara with the scissors, Simón grabs her from the back and tries to wrestle the scissors from her. She stabs him in the arm. Sara goes running to see how he is. Juli passes out. Juan picks her up and takes her to his office.
23. Prospi has stopped by to see Adela and how things are going with Jessica and Brayan. Adela says things are better. Adela has a "misunderstanding" that has been bothering her a lot. Brayan talked to Sara about a raise and got it but then he supposedly talked to Pedro and decided to quit. She doesn't understand that. Prospi gets a call. It is Juan telling him about Juli.
24. The company doctor is checking out Juli. Lucas tries to keep Mateo under control. Sara tells him that Juli and the baby are okay and with the doctor. Mateo starts to blame himself. Sara says Juli is dealing with a lot of loss right now. Lucas thinks it would be best if she were hospitalized before she does something crazy. They have to try to keep Mateo under control and to assure him that none of this is his fault. He is grateful to hear that.
25. Modesto FINALLY tells Sal that Psycho Pedro tortured Brayan and almost killed him. Now it looks like he was involved in the attempt on Cornelio's life. Sal thought so. It is time for things to get sorted out. Modesto says he promised Severiano to look after this sons but when Cornelio was born he promised God he would take care of his son. Sal cannot see them turning their backs on such serious charges. Modesto is sobbing as he says that he doesn't know what to do because Cornelio and Brayan have no idea of what could happen to them at the hacienda. Sal tells him that nothing is going to happen to them. They will have to wait to see if Cornelio and Brayan get to talk to Juan and put their cards on the table. Sal tells him to think of his son and Berta. He deserves to be happy. Modesto tells Sal that they will not be able to compete against Pedro. He is stronger than they are and evil.
26. Paloma arrives at the breakfast table where Psycho Pedro is moaning that Adela hasn't served breakfast yet. He asks Paloma if it isn't odd for her to see him seated in Juan's chair at the head of the table. She says she doesn't notice those kinds of things. He says of course not since she only runs after Simón. She decides to go eat in the kitchen. He says that she belongs there and adds that she must have thought that she would be the great lady of the house by marrying Simón. She denies ever having thought such a thing. She reminds him he is running late for work. Psycho Pedro says he will go whenever HE feels like it because he is the owner. Adela comes in with breakfast. She apologizes for it being late and he throws the breakfast tray onto the floor. He asks what kind of slop was she serving him any way. He is going to start putting some things in order at the hacienda. The "reign" of the hired help is over. He kicks the tray on the way out.
27. Juan tells Juli, who is now conscious, that she has to calm down for the good of her child. (Hmm, we know that she hates it from the last episode) She asks Juan to forgive her. He says they are waiting for her father to take her home. There'll be no talk of her leaving the company now. Juan says they only want her to be better. She says Juan is so good and that is why she fell in love with him and why she cannot let him go. Prospi arrives on the scene and takes over. She only wants to be with her mother and sisters. Juan agrees to go with Prospi and her to check on her and the baby at the hospital before she goes home. They'll leave together as Prospi tells her not to worry about a thing.
28. Psycho Pedro runs into Cornelio and Brayan on the hacienda property and asks what they are doing there. Cornelio is stupid enough to say they are there to tell Juan that he tried to kill Brayan. Psycho Pedro asks if they think that Juan is really going to believe him. Brayan says he does because Juan isn't like him. Psycho Pedro then asks what makes them think that Juan would be on their side. He is his brother. He tells Cornelio if Juan didn't believe him when he said that he wanted to kill him, why would he believe him now? Psycho Pedro says it was a pity that Amado got in the way, because if he hadn't, Cornelio would be six feet under rotting away. Cornelio punches Psycho Pedro in the face and knocks him down. Psycho Pedro gets up with a cut nose.
29. Prospi and Juan escort Juli down from his office. She sees some medical personnel all dressed in white. Juan explains they are the people who are going to help take her to the hospital. Mateo, Lucas and Sara appear. Mateo calls out to Juli. She turns and notices that she is crying. She asks him if he is crying for her and then starts to rant and rave over him and Sara. Prospi convinces Juli to ignore them and just walk with him. He insists that neither Juan nor Mateo accompany them. He will take care of his own daughter. Mateo is in tears as crumbles on the floor proclaiming his love for her. Prospi and the medical personnel guide Juli out of the building. Juan tries to comfort Mateo.
30. As Psycho Pedro realizes he also has bloody nose, he tells Cornelio that he has always been mediocre. He even had to help him to "please"his wife because he failed at that, too. Cornelio tells him that not only Juan will be the one to find out about him, it will also be the police. As Cornelio goes to punch him again, Psycho Pedro sees it coming and punches him in the gut. Psycho Pedro says he should have killed Cornelio and adds that he really should have killed both of them. Brayan runs in to hammer Psycho Pedro but Psycho Pedro is ready for him, too, and punches him in the gut. Cornelio and Brayan are suddenly both up and in the fight. After being knocked down, Psycho Pedro picks up a rock and hits Cornelio in the head with it knocking him out. It is one on one with Brayan and Psycho Pedro is triumphant. With a shoe on Brayan's face, he tells him that he warned him that anyone who messes with him really pays for it. He will get Brayan where it will hurt him the most. Psycho Pedro literally scurries away like the rat he is as Cornelio and Brayan try to recover from the losing the fight and eventually they stumble out of the hacienda. (How do two guys used to physical labor lose to a guy like Pedro? Cornelio is his age but Brayan is definitely younger.)
31. Rosa tells Berta that Prospi should not have made the decision without consulting with her. She cannot imagine her little Juli in a place like that. Her daughter is not crazy. Berta says she isn't crazy but she needs help before it is too late. Rosa wants to rush to her and Berta tells her that is not what she should be doing. Berta adds that she has to change for the well being of her family. Rosa wants to know what she should do. Berta says she needs to support Juli alongside her husband giving her encouragement to get better but this time she needs to be quiet and let the professionals do their job to help Juli.
32. Deb goes to Dante's hotel room where the manager tells her that Dante never returned and didn't even pay his bill. Everything is just as he left it. As Deb starts to look through the drawer soft nightstand, he tells her that she cannot touch anything. She says she is only looking for a clue to where he might be. The manager tells her it is prohibited. he only left her in because she is the person who visited him the most. Deb can only think that he cut out without telling her because he tried to kill her.
33. Sal tells a still antsy Modesto he is not going anywhere. Modesto breaks away from him telling him that his son and Brayan are in danger. Sal decides to go after him.
34. Brayan and Cornelio are limping along while Brandon and Dulce are faced with an enraged Pedro who tells them to get out of the house. Brandon asks why? Psycho Pedro tells him to shut up. Dulce and Jessica get an eyeful as Psycho Pedro goes through the house overturning tables and throwing their belongings on the floor and breaking them. Agustín comes out and tells him he has no right to do what he is doing since it was Juan who rented them the house. Psycho Pedro grabs Agustín by the shirt collar and calls him a stupid old man. This is something he should have done a good long time ago. He goes to punch Agustín when Brayan comes in. They start to fight and Psycho Pedro quickly over powers him.
35. Berta tells Rosa that Juli will be well cared for and with the help God and the doctors, she will be well. Rosa blames herself. Juli is like she is because she forced her to fulfill a dream that was hers alone.Berta says the first step in solving any problem is accepting responsibility. Berta adds that desperation makes people do things that are unthinkable. Rosa wants to give Sara a piece of her mind. Berta asks why? Sara didn't do anything. Rosa doesn't need to make matters worse by looking for more people to blame. Rosa says she has such a deep pain from seeing her daughter in such a state. Prospi has been with her continuously. Rosa doesn't know how to tell her other daughters. Berta grabs her hand and says she will tell them for her.
36. Psycho Pedro has dragged Brayan outside of his house. He is on top of him holding him by his shirt telling Brayan he is not going to forget what he did to him. He is going to pay. Brayan says he isn't going to forget either what he did to him. Juan is going to find out about everything. Psycho Pedro says that he and Cornelio tried to kill him. The two of them attacked him. Psycho Pedro tells him to never come back to the hacienda again. He gets off Brayan. Jessica runs to Brayan and tells Psycho Pedro he is a devil. He had no right to throw them out. Psycho Pedro says he doesn't have to ask St. Juan for permission because he also owns all of this property. Jessica helps Brayan get up as Pedro tells them to go, get out of there as he destroys the plant stand. He then goes back inside the house.
37. Lucas tells Mateo that this is really is the best for Julieta. She will get better and will have the support of her family. He tells Mateo that he needs time to heal, too. Mateo agrees with him and that is why he is going to leave the hacienda.
38. Sara and Simón with a bandaged arm are sitting in the same office at Avocado Central when Juan comes in. He tells them that Juli is being admitted to a hospital and agrees with Sara that no files be charged against her since she was not well. Juan says he talked to Prospi and they both agreed with her being admitted. Juan gets a phone call. It is from Cornelio who tells him that Psycho Pedro threw the Cruz family out of their house. Cornelio tells Juan that his brother is shameless. Psycho Pedro tried to kill him and he didn't believe him and then he tried to kill Brayan. He tells him to get there quickly before something else happens. Cornelio hangs up. Simón ask what happened. Juan tells him that Psycho Pedro went crazy and threw the Cruz family out of their house and tried to kill Brayan. Everyone is shocked!

Not shocked Lucas & Alondra got their secret freak on. Let's see how long before Prospero finds out about his little princess getting "deflowered".
Steve Boudreaux
We finally know it really WAS Julieta who caused the harvest fail with the wrong fertilizer.
Julieta might have looked "cool as a cucumber" but I could see "first class ticket in the crazy train today" emanating from her ans knew something was up. Too bad she didn't off herself; I was hoping she would stab her heart and protect the baby.
Someone else mentioned this a few days ago: How is it that Pedro wins every. single. fight? QTH? (qué the hell?). Does he have a gym hidden somewhere, or a fight club?
It was surprising that Corni was not hurt worse from that rock to his head.
Interesting that Alondra spent a (successful) night with Lucas yet neither of her parents noticed her gone missing.
Sara is finally creating boundaries with her mother, but will it really keep Deborah out of Santa Catalina?
‘ How do two guys used to physical labor lose to a guy like Pedro? Cornelio is his age but Brayan is definitely younger’ YEP!!! I was thinking the same thing! Pedro should have gotten his butt kicked going two against one on these two! But I guess that’s what happens when you are on a ‘We must tell Juan’ mission instead of going to the cops like a reasonable person!!! Why are they going to the hacienda mid morning anyway? They should have known Juan was at avocado central and that would have been a better place to talk to him anyway!
Pedro going after the Cruz family was cruel but getting out of dodge is the best thing that could happen to them! Looks like Jess and Brayan went from’I want a divorce’ to reconciled without so much as a conversation….
I can’t say much about Juli that scene was horrific and if that child lives and ever hears the story of mommy threatening with scissors that is going to cause psychological damage to the next generation. Hopefully being admitted helps but somehow I doubt it - too many episodes left to go! Lol
We're in countdown to the finale next week and there are still questions and expectations.
Finally Sara sees what Deborah is. She still doesn't know the whole story. In fact, I was disappointed that she didn't slap her right back, especially after she tried out her crocodile tears which finally didn't work.
If Sara even has the time to think about this she should be asking herself why Deborah is telling her that tea is bad during pregnancy. Many women switch to tea during pregnancy on the assumption that coffee is bad. Neither is. My mother drank coffee all through hers and I turned out alright except my IQ is only 138.
I also question why Deborah didn't throw away the tainted tea bags sooner. My conclusion was that if things didn't work out as she wanted she still could have set Sara up for a miscarriage if she found another wealthy family to fleece and destroy. But why did she pour the tea into the garbage pail rather than down the drain?
I reiterate my opinion that Rosa may have gotten some pity sex from Severiano but it only takes one time to cause pregnancy. I couldn't see him putting up with her nonsense for more than a week or two.
As for Pedro winning all his fights does anyone remember watching him work out a while back? He has a body to die for. Maybe the black clothes were also to make him look thinner.
Now I feel cheated because he only had one or two shirtless scenes. :(
Doris, I agree about the scene of Juli getting ready. I saw the crazy in her reflection. I hope that her father eventually realizes that he can't blame the del Montes for everything. He is probably projecting because he failed to get Juli whatever psych help she needs and that it might be too late.
.
So many wonderful lines but “a black (critter free) hat” was my fave with “Deb calls Dante (AKA estúpido to her)” not far behind. You never fail to make me smile despite the constant chaos here.
I feel that last night, both Pedro and Juli reached the respective heights of their madness. For Pedro, there is no doubt he will end in a deep, dark abyss. And while I’m hesitant to say this, I have a pit in my stomach that makes me feel Juli will somehow be redeemed. Watching “Mateo… in tears as crumbles on the floor proclaiming his love for her” moved the irredeemable needle for me as improbable as that sounds.
“Juan explains that he pledged to protect Pedro from everything even himself and death.” Promises cannot always be kept and some are doomed to be broken from the onset.
Part of Simon’s problem is that he compares all women to his sainted mother, Catalina. He put Paloma on a pedestal but of course it was so impossibly high, she slid off at the first infraction of not doing what he expected. And demanded.
“Debs still had that tea in the apartment. It was in bags, so apparently something one buys from Murderers'R'Us.” Doris, again, you pointed out that none of the bags had seemingly been tampered with. Very clever.
Jarifa, thank you for this marvelous recap. As I say every day, I cannot wait to see what happens next!
Diana
Anyway, your comment "Part of Simon’s problem is that he compares all women to his sainted mother, Catalina. He put Paloma on a pedestal but of course it was so impossibly high, she slid off at the first infraction of not doing what he expected. And demanded" gave me a new way of viewing Simón and Paloma's relationship. Thanks!
Well, it is raining but errands and the road are beckoning. Time to get a move on!
Thank you Darcy, because I wondered if I had missed a scene somewhere.
Urban - deb pouring that tea into the trash was ridiculous. Like you. I wondered why not pour it down the sink? Who wants to carry a potentially dripping, leaking trash bag? Ew.
Juan "protected" Pedro by allowing him to steal from the company = idiot galan, IMO. Protecting a thief is enabling a thief. Punto. There is nothing attractive (to me) about this character. I won't forget all the times he "dissed" Sara at work.
Let's see how much time Juli spends in the hospital. I don't think we are done with her. She needs to be in the manicomio.
I am so ready to get these people out of my life. I still cannot believe Salvador Mejía doesn't have his hand in this circo. After episodes like these recent ones, I want to go watch a cheesy Hallmark movie as a palate cleanser.
If it wasn't for all y'all on the Patio here, I would have dropped this show weeks ago. Hockey season starts soon, so this is ending just in time.
My favorite part was Deb just hitting the teacup away from Sara. And I too wondered why she’d pour liquid in a trash can!
I wish Mateo didn’t love Juli. I really don’t like her and she should not get to live HEA. She did try to kill Sara’s baby. She hasn’t confessed to that, I hope it comes out.
And Modesto hasn’t told anyone that Pedro killed his mother. That needs to be told. They think they’re dealing with an angry crazy Pedro but they’re dealing with a murderer. They need to start comparing notes!
Liz
Modesto needs to tell Juan last week about what he saw. Although I would not be inclined to condemn Pedro for killing Aurora. She did try to kill him back in the day.
Mateo is in a similar fog to Propero's. We should give them a day or two to get out of this.
I am sure Juli Stepford is headed for the Great Beyond. I doubt that anyone will be safe otherwise.
Every time I see Deb in her signature hat, I think a great children's book that I read many times to our little girls " Room on the Broom" and picture Deb on that broom holding on to her precious hat. Well, she has gotten it knocked off a couple times .
I don't see how the writers could give entitled, delusional, vicious Jul a HEA. I hope Mateo and Juli Baby ( is that her real name ????) Raise that poor bebe.
When Deb hit the teacup out of Sara's hand and told her that tea wasn't good for pregnant women, why didn't Sara remember that Deb had recently served her tea ????
Modesto not telling someone, anyone that Pedrokilled his mother is just ridiculous . Meanwhile , Pedro is out and about roaming all over the place , including being around Modesto's young grandson, and Modesto is hiding out at the cantina kissing Bertha. QTH???? If you see something , say something!!!
Juan is not a galan in my sense of the word. How many people has Pedro tortured and killed while Juan continues to " protect " him . He should have protected him from himself .
No surprise about Juli. It looks like she will end up with Mateo, poor guy.
I'm very disappointed with Modesto not coming forward about Pedro killing Aurora. The best way for M. to protect Cornelio and everyone else is to have Pedro in jail! Modesto has chickened out big time.
I'm sure we all get that Juan & Sara are now 4ever. Yawn. Move along.
Is this over this week? Hope so.
Beth S
I agree with all the comments, especially with the ones what mentioned OP Pedro and Deb and the tea.
Catalina should have divorced Sev. I don't like the fact that they portray a woman who is blind to her husband cheating as something good. Wrong message.
Anyway. I'm sleepy. Goodnight/Good morning to everyone!
Cornelio is stupid enough to say [to Pedro] they are there to tell Juan that he [Pedro] tried to kill Bryan.
How do two guys use to physical labor lose to a guy like Pedro?
The million dollar question. Pedro is just not that physically formidable. With a gun, yes. Without a gun (and nobody tied up), nope. The most realistic fistfight so far to me was Cornelio throttling the thug who shot his dad.
Yay! Jessica finally used her noggin and started putting 2 and 2 together about why Brayan left the ranch. I didn't expect Pedro to go full-blown cray cray on Adela's home, at least not so soon.
ITA Deb emptying the liquid tea in the trash can instead of the sink was odd. She loves staying at the ranch so, in her words, she can be "attended to." I'm guessing she always had Sara or someone else clean up for her.
Diana, good observation on Simón expecting Paloma to stay on a pedestal, where he's placed his sainted mother.
I know everyone wants a divorce for Simón and Paloma, but I want a HEA where they have (in time) only girl babies so he can see women are not porcelain.
When drunk Augustin was letting it all hang out and telling it like it is about Sev and Catalina, I wondered if he was going to knock Catalina off Simón's pedestal with something like "What a class act, but boy did your mom cheat at Bingo!"
I'll add Nosy Agustin to the list since he seems hell-bent on sticking his nose where it doesn't belong!
Jarifa: Super doubling-down on BOTH Psycho Pedro & Crazy Simon killing Scumbag Seve. I hope Gullible Paloma has life insurance & prenup 🤔
UA: Jessica & Brayan back together that quickly LOL.
Darcy: Scumbag Seve couldn't control that zipper.

While I was pregnant with my first I read somewhere that certain types of tea can cause a miscarriage during the first few months of pregnancy. Since I really don't like tea, I took this as a good sign to stay away from it and didn't bother to remember which type of tea can be problematic. As for coffee, I know that a cup a day won't do anything to your baby, but if you drink too much, it can get restless.
I agree that Pedro should't be able to overpower Cornelio and Bryan, who should be more than capable to take him down, but what I found even more idiotic was the fact that they told him everything they were planning to do. They went from "don't tell a living soul" to "let's tell the person we fear first".
Did Sara actually tell Deb that she is moving into the ranch? Wasn't she supposed to wait for Juan to be legally free?
One final thought: Catalina was not a saint, she was a stupid, sad woman, who tried to hold on to a cheating husband for the sake of her family image. Of course Sev would consider her a saint, he was a sorry excuse of a husband, but the boys also think that she was oh so amazing for allowing Sev to humiliate her constantly with his many affairs with women she was close to. Do these men think that putting up with a cheating husband somehow makes you a better woman?? Maybe this is something Alondra, Sara and Paloma should address... Yeah, I know, Paloma should have spoken about quite a few things with her hubby before the "I do's".
