La Herencia #76 Tuesday "The brain tumor made her do it... we can all assume"

Sara has to admit that Dante is her father, Pedro told her. Sara is sure Pedro is only trying to separate her from Juan, Mateo can’t believe Dante has been their lawyer all this time and Simon wants to know if she ever suspected anything about her connection to Dante. Sara says she never had a father, she needs to know what happened, too and she feels awful about it. It’s up to them to decide what they plan to do about her.

Simon wants to go make a complaint against Deb and Dante and Sara should give up the Del Monte name also. Pedro is happy with this decision, but Sara looks heartbroken. She knows she doesn’t have the right to the name, but she’s not that different from them – her real father never wanted her, but a different man agreed to protect her and take care of her. She loves them all, so she will let them decide her destiny. She will accept no matter what they say. As Sara leaves crying, Juan says he is very thankful Sara arrived at the ranch, she is the love of his life. He had their parents to sustain him and he had them to teach him about brotherhood.  Pedro takes offence to this, he was already his brother before the Del Montes rescued them. Juan gets mad, too bad Pedro will only understand Sara’s words when it will be too late. Pedro is tired of San Juan’s good guy routine, he can keep his adoptados and have another baby with that scammer if he wants. Juan gets really mad now, punches Pedro! And it’s a big, nose bleeding punch!

Julieta is very upset with her mother. Rosa begs her not to tell anyone, but Juli can’t lie to her father. Sev didn’t know anything, she couldn’t tell him because she was afraid of Prospi finding out. When he knew she was pregnant he was so happy, she didn’t want to lose her husband and everyone to make fun of her, like they did with Deb. Juli calls her selfish, she only did it for herself… and she hates her! And she will never allow her to get into her head again, convincing her to do things that she doesn’t want to do. As Juli leaves, she almost stumbles onto Adela, who finds Rosa almost in shock. She says she lost everything and her daughter is right when she says she always cared more about other people’s opinion than her family. Adela and Bertha try to comfort her, Rosa apologizes to Adela again, they both love their kids so much, they have that in common and life is paying back her bad behavior.

Adela says she came to bring her the letters, and no, she never read them. Bertha asks Rosa to sleep for a while, but she is worried for Juli… and what will happen when Prospi finds out the truth?

Alondra is still smelling the dead bodies, but tells the ranch hands there is nothing there. They leave.

Lucas tells Juan he can count on him, he believes Sara when she says Pedro threatened her. Juan knows Pedro is a thief, but something worse might be happening: Deb told them Deb killed Dante. He needs everyone to be alert, Pedro could do anything. He feels very sad but he has to protect them, he will think about his emotions later. These words remind Lucas of Sev, he was the same, he offers to become a go between Pedro and Juan. Juan says no, but Lucas is certain he can do it.

Sara is at the chapel talking to her faux daddy. She apologizes for her bad words, he died thinking he was a bad father, but that was not the case. Juan arrives to comfort her, Sara says that she still has him and their son. But she needs some time before she can come back to the ranch, she needs “her brothers” to accept her before.

Julieta is at the main house, looking at Sev and Catalina’s portrait, when Deb arrives. Juli wants to throw her out, Deb reminds her she’s in no position to do that, she knows she’s upset because of the vow renewal, but she doesn’t have the time for her, she came to see Pedro.

Simon, Lucas and Mateo arrive and go off on Deb for lying to everyone. Deb blames Dante for everything, but then Juan arrives and asks her to leave. Juli finds out that Sara is not Sev’s daughter, Deb lied to everyone. Julieta assumes Sara lied, too, Juan says no, she never knew the truth either. Deb confirms this, Dante did it all. Juan can’t believe Deb would do that to the only person in the world who loves her. Deb says they are no better, if they go to the police, she will say that Pedro was in cahoots with Dante to steal the company from them. Simon asks for proof, who will believe someone like her. Deb says Dante promised Pedro to make him president and then got into an alliance with Henry… Juan stops her, just in time for Juli to ask why Dante wanted Sara to get the money. Simon says that Dante is Sara’s real father.

Juan asks Deb to get out again or they will call the police. Deb leaves, after having a few “nice” words for Julieta. As soon as Deb leaves, Julieta faints.

Modesto has come to see Pedro in his office, who thinks he’s there to talk about Tadeo. But no, Modesto wants to talk about something else: Sev and Cata adopted them, but he always saw them as his children, too, even as he could notice his jealousy of Juan. Pedro is not impressed, but Modesto insists, since Pedro seems to have forgotten how much Juan loves and protects him, while all he does is hate and betray them all… Pedro calls Modesto a maldito, Modesto replies that a maldito is the child who kills his own mother. This makes Pedro’s sarcastic smile disappear, but he accuses Modesto of lying. Modesto calls him a killer and a traitor. Pedro gets very upset, threatens to kill Modesto. But Modesto says he knows him better than anyone, even if he grew up, he never became a man; he knows all about his pain and rage against the woman who gave him life. And he saw everything! He saw how he killed and buried her. Yeah, Modesto, confront the psycho killer, that's what we've been saying all along. I hope you have your affairs in order and Bertha won't mind being a widow instead of a wife.

Pedro says that’s not true, he’s not a demon. But Modesto saw him, he can’t understand all this hatred, since he only got love from Sev and Cata. Pedro hits Modesto, who falls to the ground, and then remembers his last confrontation with Aurora. Tadeo arrives to ask Pedro if they are leaving and finds Modesto and asks if they were fighting. Tadeo thinks Modesto upset his dad, but Pedro says that his abuelito just told him something that he needs to keep a secret… or else he might wake up hanging by a tree. Hahaha! Pedro tells Modesto he doesn’t want to fight with him, he better shut up for the sake of everyone who loves him. Modesto just nods and leaves. The Del Monte demons high five.

Sara tells Bea that she doesn’t want to live at the ranch and she can’t live with her mother, either. Bea invites her to live together for as much as she needs. Paloma says she can’t end up in jail, at the most she might pay a fine, because she never got her inheritance. But she will lose the Del Monte name. This saddens Sara a lot, but she knows she can count on Juan, that gives her faith. Group hug!

After Julieta feels better, they all suggest she go home to rest. Mateo offers to take her, Julieta says she’s had a lot of emotions lately. Mateo has some news: he and Juli will get married. Caras impactadas of the brothers, but Juan says he’s happy, because he knows Mateo loves her very much. Juli thanks him, Lucas talks about family union. Even Simon congratulates them, if Juan’s OK with this, so is he. Lucas thinks only Sara is missing, Simon is still reluctant to accept her, but Mateo reminds him she is their future nephew’s mother. Juan is thankful Simon helped her when Pedro accused her, Simon says he only wants to support him. Lucas is happy to be an uncle twice.

Mateo and Julieta are walking, looking at the sky, reminiscing about how they fell in love. Mateo is looking forward to their future, he bends on one knee and proposes. It’s not a big party with avocado trees, but he loves her, will she marry him? She kneels, too, looks at the ring and says that she is going to die… she has brain cancer. Mateo is shocked, it can’t be… Julieta asks him to be strong, he needs to take care of their baby. But Mateo can’t fathom living without her… Julieta says she doesn’t have much time left, but she has accepted it and he needs to stay positive for their child. Mateo decides they need to take advantage of the time they have then. He puts the ring on her finger, and they kiss and exchange I love you’s.

They go back to the ranch and straight to Mateo’s room… to reconnect and whatnot.

Later, they are both in bed together. She wants to enjoy the present, they can’t think of the future now. Mateo wants to go on a trip, he doesn’t care where. She agrees. But before, she needs to deal with some things, like talking to Sara, she hurt her a lot, too. More kissing, but no talk about possible treatments, medical prognosis, that tumor making her become unhinged... Love is grand!

Somehow Deb ends up at Bea’s to fight with Sara again. Deb thinks she should start calling Dante dad, but Sara could never, if she ever sees him again she will tell him how much she resents him. Deb is not sorry for what she did, she didn’t want Sara to lack anything. But Sara knows her mother did it all for herself, too bad she didn’t have the chance to be adopted by someone like Catalina, who could have really loved her. Deb tries to slap Sara again, but Sara stops her – never again! And the apartment will be sold, it’s in her name. Deb thinks Sara he should have shut up just enough to get the money. If not, she will just be a mediocre, all because of her pride.

Juan asks Lucas to find Pedro’s cell, they will get plenty of info from it. They also need Dante’s laptop. And he will convince Sara to come back at the ranch.

Tadeo asks Pedro about Modesto’s secret. Pedro shows him the office around him, saying the company will be his, too. Tadeo is happy.

Rosa comes to see Bryan at the bar, to apologize for the way she treated him in the past. She only wants for him to love his daughter and never keep secrets, because they could ruin the relationship. She apologizes again and asks permission for a hug.

Pedro arrives with Tadeo, Juan thinks the boy should be with his mother now. Tadeo senses they are fighting, so Juan asks Lucas to take him upstairs. Lucas tells Juan that he shouldn’t meddle in Pedro’s life, he has enough problems to deal with. Wink wink!

Juan wants to talk about Dante. Pedro says he always suspected something was going on between he and Deb. Juan never had doubts because Dante always helped them. So, why did Pedro kill him? Ah, Pedro’s face… mad man on the verge of losing it completely!

Sara is sad, remembering Pedro’s words about Dante, when someone knocks on the door. It’s Julieta, who says she’s come to tell her the entire truth. For someone who is about to die and is also pregnant, Julieta sure doesn’t spend much time resting, doesn’t she?

Adriana, your recap was a perfectly reflective mirror of a continuing cavalcade of tragedy.

“The Del Monte demons high five” and “They go back to the ranch and straight to Mateo’s room… to reconnect and whatnot” were but a few favorites.

I can’t speak to whether or not Juli’s brain “made her do it” but do think she was a tortured soul. Seemingly evil one minute yet lucid with all her faculties intact the next, Juli’s character was continually inconsistent. And now she will pay with her life. An uneasy and unsettling justice.

Juan questioning Pedro about killing Dante was the highlight of the evening. Although struggling to comprehend the inevitable conclusion the brother he swore to protect is a cold-blooded murderer, Juan is doing what he must.

And Modesto did what he was compelled to do. But he will live to see another day.

Juli, whose sins were egregious, fails to forgive her mother. Yet, as all of the ghosts of past sins rise to haunt her, Rosa accepts her guilt and tries to make amends, as best she can.

And Sara, at her lowest point, is not rejected by her family and is staunchly supported by her love.

I cannot remember ever enjoying a telenovela so much that has such flawed and frankly unlikeable characters. But the fact is that every night I am glued to the set, waiting with baited breath for what will happen next.

So much is due to you, Jarifa and Darcy for bringing this to life for us each night. Thank you!

Diana

Adriana, loved the title and phrases like "The Del Monte demons." Thanks for another excellent recap outing!

A few comments:

Who would've thought at Rosa's hair would be dyed and streaked under her wig?

Finally, somebody (Juan) knocks Pedro on his butt. He actually punched him in the mouth. It was about time.

Pedro and his smirk are non-relenting and creepy. The actor must have enjoyed playing a psychopath careening out of control. I am enjoying his performance.

Modesto was foolish to go and confront Pedro (especially unarmed.)

Diana, "I cannot remember ever enjoying a telenovela so much that has such flawed and frankly unlikeable characters. But the fact is that every night I am glued to the set, waiting with baited breath for what will happen next." You said it better than I ever could. I am going to miss this one when it ends.

Adriana, thank you for your wonderful recap. Your title is perfect, too.

Anyone remember Flip Wilson's "The devil made me do it!" Well, brain tumor can sometimes alter a person's personality and my telenovela beanie hat has a chin strap to keep it on my head. We will just roll with this.

"They go back to the ranch and straight to Mateo’s room… to reconnect and whatnot."
I just love that sentence, Adriana. And we now have a new word to add to the Patio's list: knocking boots, moving the sofa, and we now have Whatnotting.

Sara has to know that she and Juan will get married (right?) by the Gran/Por Fin because of telenovela rules. And she will just take the Del Monte name again? Or maybe not with the LATAM rules about apellidos that I've never quite wrapped my brain around. Whatever.

Rosa continues her Amends Tour and I still cannot get over how beautiful her face is with brunette hair. And the highlights already mentioned here. Her skin tones look much healthier while they were pasty with that blonde hair that never flattered her.

Modesto has a death wish, going to Pedro about P murdering his own mother. Oh well, Modesto knows he is in a telenovela and must follow the rules.

Mateo's eyes have been red throughout this entire telenovela. Poor guy needs a gallon of Visine to get the red out. He will continue to cry when the baby is born and Love of His Life Jukieta dies.

doris, you always make me laugh. Your comment about your telenovela beanie hat was the best!!

Cher Adriana, merci for this bouncing recap as the writers try to tie up all the loose ends as we hurtle to the conclusion of this tale of avocados and angst and anger .

So...everybody is holding their noses , but Alondra and the guys with the dogs just walk away . There are always a lot of peculiar and pungent smells on a farm \ranch , but I thought these folks were going to discover those graves ..but no. Rotten avocados ???

Juli did an unbelievably abrupt turnaround . Does her family know her diagnosis ? Will this bring Prospi back to The new brunette Rosa?

Modesto was foolish to confront Pedro alone in his office knowing Pedro is 100% BSC and violent. I was amazed that Tadeo seemed unconcerned that his abuelito was on the floor. This kid went to the dark side speedy quick.

Deb is the Energizer bunny of wicked sarcasm. She just keeps making the rounds in her hat and leather clothes throwing out insults like she still has a plan.

P.s. Did we ever find out who poisoned her wine , or did the writers forget that storyline ?

Great work, Adriana.

Totally agree that Modesto should not have confronted Pedro alone and unarmed. However -- like in opera -- this is a moment of high drama which can lead to tragedy which is the best nourishment of the composer. Verdi would have loved that.

Of course, we are all hoping that Modesto lives to enjoy the rest of his life with Berta.

About Julieta...

A good friend of mine died of brain cancer four years ago. She was diagnosed in 2016, had a craniotomy within a week of diagnosis, radiation for 6 weeks starting a month later, followed by difficult chemo. The tumor had caused her to collapse onto the kitchen floor and totally paralyzed her left side. Three days after her surgery she started getting feeling on that side and she was on her feet two weeks later. She was alright for a year thereafter, then another tumor appeared that could not be operated on. She was in hospital for three months followed by hospice for two weeks before she died.

This example shows that an incident like the sudden paralysis is usually how this condition is discovered. Julieta would now not be treated for the rest of her pregnancy, so she is a goner. I doubt that she would be operated on at this stage and pregnancy hormones might accelerate the growth of the tumor. I am guessing she is near the halfway mark of the pregnancy, so if she doesn't die first she will have a premature baby at the moment of her death. That would be a very major Karmageddon.

I don't think Julieta told anyone else about the cancer yet. Mateo is the first to know. In view of Juli being the spawn of Severiano I think that will cancel out any possibility of reconciliation between Rosa and Prospero.

It is doubtful that Julieta told her family about her tumor. Otherwise Rosa would be absolutely freaking out.

Every time I see Pedro and Tadeo together, I think of Dr. evil and Mini-me. (thanks a lot, Austin Powers - lol)

Thanks, Adriana, what a treat it is to wake up and read your recaps.

Juli’s news was quite a surprise! I kept waiting for her to announce her true father to Deb and the brothers. Then I was sure she was going to turn Mateo down. I feel like she’s getting off too easy for what she did. But her life will be cut short and she won’t get to raise her baby. But she did plot evil with Pedro and now she will die surrounded by loved ones. I think I wanted her to be alone and unloved for what she did.

I’m very surprised that Modesto is still among the living. Pedro has an eye witness and he’s going to let him live-hard to believe.

I was sure Alondra would tell Lucas about the smell, but she told the ranch hands it was nothing! Which I didn’t realize until I read your recap, Adriana! Why would they go to a young girl with their concerns? I was thinking she’s a teenager! She may be in her early 20’s, but the ranch hands need to go to one of the brothers, just not Pedro!

Anxious to hear what Juli tells Sara tonight!

Liz

"Pedro and his smirk are non-relenting and creepy" ia ao true Jarifa! His death seems imminent and I hope it occurs before he kills again. With four episodes to go, my uneasiness grows...

doris, of course I remember "the devil made me do it". Too funny.

Urban, I'm very sorry about your friend. A close friend of mine was diagnosed with a brain tumor she had for years but never knew existed. She was fortunate not to suffer any symptoms and it was successfully removed. I will give Juli the benefit of the doubt and say her actions were a result of the tumor. She will die a rather terrible death.

Susanlynn, no we never did find out about the poisoned wine!

I found Rosa's apology heartfelt. I have doubts that Prospi will be less forgiving than Juli especially when he finds out Juli is Sev's daughter. However, tragedy is the tie that binds. Perhaps they will find their way back to each other once Juli passes.

Diana

I’m wondering if Juli will ever tell that she’s a Del Monte. Now that she’s dying and apologizing it would serve no purpose. Of course, Rosa should tell Próspero, but Juli may decide to take it to the grave. When she saw the DNA and said “that changes everything”. I expected an, “I’m the true heir”announcement, but that hasn’t happened yet!
Liz

Urban , so sorry about your friend . These crazy telenovelas often reflect real life drama and sadness. Mirrors that reflect humanity , good and bad.

Prospi loved and raised Juli , so he is , indeed, her true father. Losing a child either pulls a couple together or tears them apart. I think that their mutual grief and pain will pull Prospi and Rosa back together .

My friend was a very good person and very strong in her convictions. She had her only son at 44 and was a good mother and a great cook. Sadly, she never wrote her recipes down. I reconstructed her recipe for mulligatawny soup and her son rebuilt her goulash recipe, but I think that was it. She is missed, that's certain.

Propero is Juli's real father and she told him so. When the shock wears off he will go back to her and apologize for walking out on her. However, I don't think he will stop the divorce. Rosa does not deserve him.

Adriana, another wonderful snappy recap thank you! I too loved ‘the DelMonte demons’!

I am not sure I find the whole ‘the brain tumor made me do it’ turn of events satisfying but I do think it is possible. It wasn’t cancer, but I had two family members with serious brain injuries. The first, my uncle became a completely different person, his likes/dislikes etc completely changed. He distanced himself from his family, got divorced, became much angrier and moody, but didn’t commit any crimes as far as I know. The other, my grandma had surgery and recovered but while she was going through the injury it was really scary, she became extremely paranoid and was hearing voices. She thought my grandpa was plotting to kill her, she tried to brake down her fence with a shovel because she couldn’t figure out how to unlock it. The family was freaked out and afraid we would have to commit her but luckily after she recovered from surgery and the swelling went down she returned to sanity.

I still find it interesting that Juli gets so much family confidence though, especially considering they don’t know yet she’s I’ll. Chick seduced both brothers, lied about the paternity to trap one in marriage, poisoned the avocados and took a knife to her own belly/child but when she shows up in her living room unannounced we still tell her all the details about Sara’s fake paternity and real daddy?? Okay…..and of course we are happy for the new marriage announcement!! Quick question, is she even officially divorced from the other brother yet??

Modesto is an idiot! He didn’t even go to Juan like all the other idiots insist on doing. Why in the world would he go straight to Pedro??? Adriana your comment about hoping he had his affairs in order was spot on. Poor Berta!!

Urban, very sorry to hear about your friend.

Thanks, Adriana. Super job. Yet again you make everything so clear and grace us with your choice snark. My fave: The Del Monte demons high five

What was Modesto thinking? That his visit would put Pedro in check? Any chance Modesto had a tiny recorder in his pocket? I sure wish he had talked to Bertha about this first.

Those two German shepherds go wild at the stench and can barely be restrained by their handler, but Alondra says everything is okay. Nuts. Good job, dogs. Sorry, the humans failed you.

I don’t know what to say about Julieta. If she’s sincere about Mateo, fine. But she has a loving family that she should let into her struggle too. The fact that she’s made her peace with terminal illness without engaging a second opinion or anything is so unreal. And she was downright cruel to Prospi the other day and to Rosa last night. So we are to believe the tumor made her do it? Because honestly her parents’ infidelity is nothing and should be forgiven pronto considering what she’s dealing with now.

Urban and Darcy, thanks for sharing about loved ones who've suffered with brain tumors. Where would we be without friend and family support in tough times.

I am experiencing internet issues on the computer and wifi on both the computer and my phone. It could be the whole building or worse.

Brain injuries definitely can cause personality changes. It happened to Henry VIII at a time when nothing could be done about it.

I can't fault Julieta for her anger at Rosa, though. Keeping that secret was not going to do any good for either herself or Prospero. As to the other outstanding issues I think Rosa poisoned Deborah and if I am right she will have to pay for that.

Brain injuries definitely cause personality changes. Just read any articles on athletes who have had too many concussions and what it did to their behaviors.

"Quick question, is she even officially divorced from the other brother yet??"
Darcy, stop asking intelligent questions, put on your telenovela beanie hat, and just imagine your brain as a pear half in partially-set jello. ;-)

Adriana: I loved your full in-depth analysis of last night's episode. It was 100% superb 😊

Praying to God that Televisa doesn't bring this back for a 2nd Season because we cannot stomach seeing Bratty Tadeo flexing his evilness.

Memo to Bea & Cornelio: Hope you've got your affairs in order just in case when adult Tadeo flexes his sinister evilness.

Doris: I'm NOT quite buying that Julieta has brain cancer because with all of her evilness, she might attack Goldie Locks Sara again.

UA: Doubling-down on the bodies of Aurora & Dante the Looter will be unveiled sooner or later in the final days.

PS: Deepest condolences to the family about your friend.

Niecie: Strongly agree with you on Modesto confronting Psycho Pedro like that. I was like "YOU DUMB EXPLETIVE!"

Darcy: Crazy Simon needs to GET OVER IT & let's hope he doesn't kill anyone else (cough-cough: I'm super doubling-down on both Psycho Pedro & Crazy Simon killing Scumbag Seve. It's so obvious they planned the whole thing).

Liz: Buji Rosa doing her apology tour again 🤔

Steve Boudreaux

Thank you all for stopping by.
As I'm getting ready for my last recap - of the finale, no less - I can't help but think of how this started. We didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into and we definitely had no ideea about how much we would enjoy this.

Diana, ITA that I love watching this novela, but I can't choose a character I actually like, because there is none. Even the main couple is so blah, I couldn't care less about them... But somehow, all these uninteresting beings make for such an exciting story, I can't wait for the resolution ... and I'm also a bit sad to see it go.

Doris, I found the whole bedroom scene between Julieta and Mateo so out of place and sudden ... Mateo didn't even ask details about the desease, want to get another opinion, go search for the best doctor the Del Monte money could buy... Isn't there a clinic in Houston specializing on novela brain tumors?

Susanlynn: "Deb is the Energizer bunny of wicked sarcasm" is the PERFECT description of our beloved Deborah. Pedro makes great faces, but Deb has the best comebacks. I will never forget her first reaction to meeting the brothers: "pasarela de galanes" she said and it got stuck in my head.

Urban, so sorry for your loss.
Your reasoning about Juli not having the option of a treatment is smart, I hadn't thought of it, but this entire storyline feels so rushed... maybe we'll get more details when her family finds out.

Darcy, the brothers' acceptance of Juli now being with Mateo was shocking, but it was also a clue that we are near the end. Had this happened in episode 50, we might have had a different outcome. As things stand now, with Sara not wanting to go back to the ranch and Mateo pushing for Julieta to move back in, she might become Senora Del Monte again in no time. Different bedroom, different chair at the table, but same social position. She wouldn't even have to change her ID.

Niecie, Julieta seemed to take Rosa cheating rather well, even said that she made the same mistake, but when she found out about the paternity secret she blew up. Sure, IT IS very serious, but she was planning to do the EXACT SAME THING with her unborn child. Only difference is she got caught! I hope she doesn't tell Prospi, what good would it do, especially now when the family will be in so much pain over her passing?

No more words left to say about Modesto... he is an old fool. Literally!

Anonymous from yesterday... I hope to "see" you around again, maybe add a funny signature to your post. We love it when we get new people. Thanks for your comment, I know the first one is the hardest, it took me months of lurking before I dared to hit post.

Adriana -the Mateo/Juli bedroom scene was a FFWD>>> opportunity for me. And you raise good points about Mateo not asking for ore information or wanting to get another opinion. Such is life in Santa Catalina. lol

Adriana, ditto to everything you said.

In the beginning, we were looking at avocado trees and avocado portraits and wondering who all these brothers were . I wish I had kept count of all many pieces of the avocado artwork at the hacienda and office building . My dad grew acres of potatoes and sweet corn , but we didn't have even one framed portrait of a potato or cob of corn. Que lastima. Maybe I should get out one of my canvases and paint one .

I will never look at an ( overpriced)avocado without thinking about this wild , wacky ranch .

I really thought Pedro was a wounded soul who would be redeemed eventually because of Juan 's steadfast love and protection. I would have saved him if I was in the writing room .

I noticed that Pedro is back to his 3 piece suits and chain jewelry .

Thanks, everyone. Brunnhilde was a great friend with a major sense of humor. If reincarnation is a thing she will be rewarded in the next life.

Getting back to our story, we can be grateful that there was really no filler here. Also -- for the last time -- this is highly unlikely to have a sequel since it has not been sequelled before. The most recent previous versions were made by Telemundo (128 one-hour episodes) and Chile (131, but Wiki says they ran 25-35 minutes each). Both were made in the same year.

There was a 1962 Televisa one of the same title as this but no info on the story or the writers. It had only 54 episodes and those would have been half-hour ones. Too bad we can't see them because it had Eric del Castillo, Joaquin Cordero, and Jose Elias Moreno. The latter creeped us out during Amor Bravio and is now doing the same in the latest version of La Madrastra.
