Weirdo, when you say you'll read the recaps of LRDS, are you referring to the ones from seasons 1 and 2 here on Caray? I just took a quick look at what we have for season 1. There are a lot of weeks listed, but the actual first run of the series and the recaps from that run start the week of March 7, 2011 (with a little commentary the previous week) and end at the end of May, 2011. I'm not sure how clear the story will be from these recaps and discussions, but you may want to have a look. Apparently there are actual episodes available on You Tube and elsewhere, but whether these are free isn't clear. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Yes, Juanita, I was referring to the Caray ones. Thanks a lot for the information. So many good telenovelas, so little time...

Sigh. I find both these to be serious downers. It's sort of too late to stop now. I believe both of them will be over by the end of October.

It seems that the writers are averse to any sort of happiness. In Fuego the character Celebi makes my skin crawl. The actor is good, but his insistence on controlling his wife and, at the beginning, hitting her is very disturbing. The level of corruption and control of what are apparently considered to be the lower classes is just awful. Last night we saw Cemre having to endure a report from bribed doctors that she was mentally incompetent, all this paid for by Celebi. The two galanes have endured awful consequences from this Celebi. For one of them some sort of debt has been created out of whole cloth that could cause him to lose his mother's house. The other one was pursued and shot. There is a ghastly character, Bulent, who is now in prison, falsely accused of stabbing someone. He's so evil I can't believe it.

Infiel doesn't give us a minute's respite from harassment. The current galan, Aras, confronted the man who burned his father, and he thought his mother, to death in order to, I think, clear some land they owned for development by said arsonist. The guy has had previous health problems, but because Aras confronted him, he's presented as killing the guy. The truly awful wife of the arsonist, Gonul, is hell-bent on revenge. And Volkan just keeps putting spokes in the wheels of any plans for happiness of his ex.

This is enough to send me off to bed in a bad mood. I'm questioning whether I'll submit myself to another dizi anytime soon.

I agree with you, novelera, these shows are downers. I had no desire to see these in Turkish, but when they showed up on Telemundo, I figured what the heck and sort of started watching. And after investing time, I am curious about the endings.

Infiel is especially irksome. I can't remember the last time I watched a show with such awful characters. Even Asya annoys me. This was based on a British show. I wonder if that was as bad.

I looked ahead in Zap2it. Monday Oct 17 has Infiel on from 9 - 11 and that's the last time it shows up on the schedule. After that, LRDS 3 starts at 9 and Destino moves to 10.

Relief is in sight.

Thanks for commiserating, dondi. An example that stood out for me was the birthday party that was held for Aras. Everyone is smiling, getting ready to cut the birthday cake, when the BSC Leyla shows up, dragging Ali there and hoping to create a scene. She off-key sings happy birthday to her ex. She's foiled in that Ali, annoyed, announces he already knew Asya and Aras planned to get married in two weeks. Then we see the ubiquitous Volkan lurking in the door. He even had the gall to be jealous of Derin, who's come to the party with a newly arrived friend of Aras. He gets choked up about Asya getting married soon. And Asya, who never misses an opportunity to spoil a happy moment for Aras, decides she has to take Ali home. Gah!

Was happy to see them resolve so quickly Gonul's plot of accusing Asya of medical malpractice. And, as usual, Aras is "the man". He managed to get video footage of the crooked male nurse who was in Gonul's employ. And they got in another PSA about spousal abuse. The sister of the nurse is being abused by her husband, and the $$$ forked over by Gonul was to get her out of town. I loved that Asya recorded the male nurse saying who paid him to switch the diagnoses and confronting Gonul. But I think she should have gone to the authorities, if they exist, in this town. Because Gonul's plot could have killed someone. She had some sort of weak response about somehow having tried to make sure the woman didn't actually get insulin.

Volkan comes to the airport to plead for "Ali". Hah! Ali, the bipolar kid, has lately been content with his mother moving to London. Again, Volkan is like bedbugs, hard to get rid of. I was hoping for the producers of this dizi to be able to use, again, their stock photos of a London Street with the red double-decker buses. And that Asya would be shown on Oxford Street.

The latest plot is getting little Iskep (not sure I have that right) to tell Asya that Ali is completely distraught, and she needs to stay in town for him. The real reason is Gonul's tentacles don't reach to England.

BSC Derin also came to the airport, but Asya being led away by the police instead of boarding the plane left her gobsmacked. As we recappers and commenters have said SO many times: How the hell do these characters get around so fast? Derin heard Volkan went to the airport and she somehow teleported there a couple of minutes after we saw him lurking.

Selcuk apologized to Asya for blaming her for Haluk's death. And Aras seemed to shut him down with a very forceful confrontation. I'm rooting for Selcuk to have a HEA, but he should have been arrested for his attempt to fire bomb Aras' home.

Novelera, thank you fur your insightful report of all the continuing crazy. Run, Aras , run . Get away while you can.
