Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 118 – Part 1 of 3

Domi wants to throw the Guerreros out on their bottoms but Jesus insists that after Augi listed off his accusations against them they be given their chance to respond. They list off all the accusations, Augi killed their dad, he killed Victoriano, he murdered Beltran and Iker. They don’t at this point have any proof with them and they acknowledge they have lost the phone that had a recorded the video showing Augi threatening Iker. Sam speaks directly to Domi and says she knows him and knows that he is honest with her, he tells her that he too was there in the room and heard Augi threaten Iker, Domi seems to pause at this. For Augi’s part, he showed the girls all of Jesus’s various fake IDs – which was actually funny! I kept wondering why Mari looked so shocked and affected? She already knew all of this. Domi predictably claims she was blind and stupid to believe in Damian and laps up all of Augi’s poison!!! Both sides agree to reconvene in 24 hours when the Guerreros will show all the proof they have of their various accusations.

I don’t know if Uni cut something or if I just took a nap or something on Friday but Lupe comes into the kitchen at the mansion screeching like a banshee, scaring Mica into dropping and breaking a cup!! She’s freaking out because she just saw Carloca at her house? (Did we see this?) This scene was highly entertaining!!! But of course, MD walks in and accuses Lupe of trying to move into her house too after Mari! Lupe claims she doesn’t give a damn about their house and she’s only there because Carloca is alive!!! MD looks like she believes her, but she claims she doesn’t, and goes off on the typical you are just trying to take my husband dead horse scenario! Lupe leaves and MD grabs the nearest bottle of alcohol.

Left alone with his daughters, Augi spins the story that the Guerrero/Sanchez’s are dangerous. Meanwhile, the guys lament how their women are going to hate them now! Valero hilariously summarizes: ‘Augi is making you guys look like the bad guys of the Telenovela?’! Elisa advises the boys to concentrate on tomorrow’s meeting with Augi. She knows that they love their women and this is upsetting, but they need to be ready, all the guys agree! Just then Vivana walks in and an excited Sam goes to greet her and to introduce her to his mommy; and his brothers Jesus and Damian; and Valero, who is also his brother; and Adrian, who is also is brother (cuteness overload!) Vivi says it’s nice to meet everyone. She says she’s happy to find them together because Sam told her their story and she’s told her dad, who happens to be a judge (I think?)! He looked into Augi and found a bunch of irregularities and now he’s going to open an official investigation into Augi. She also mentions that she hasn’t told Sam this yet, but she’s a lawyer and she wants to help. Vivi says it’s time they all found out that justice DOES exist!!!! Everyone is appropriately pumped up at this news and Jesus welcomes Vivana to the family!

Augi presses his luck and suggests to Mari who has been his daughter for all of 5 minutes that she should never see Jesus again and he will be both father and grandfather to her baby!!! GAG! Domi mentions there’s still 24 hours for things to be decided and Augi says it’s not necessary he has nothing to hide. Augi isn’t feeling well, the girls want to get him medical intervention but he says all he needs is for them to believe him. Stepford Emma assures dad that she believes every word he says.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 118 – Part 2 of 3

MD and Fede talk about the events. MD is starting to realize Augi has pushed alcohol on her for all these years to keep her under control. Fede has started to realize the Guerreros can be their way out. He admits to MD that she didn’t really kill Santi, she shot him, but he was still alive it was Augi’s man who completed the kill. That straw breaks MD’s back and silence, and she spills all the details of what Augi did to Fede’s dad. They agree they are going to team up with the Guerrero’s and help them bring Augi DOWN!!! They start making out.

Emma is preparing for graduation but she doesn’t feel like going. Domi tells her to celebrate and enjoy it. She’s earned it and when Domi looks at her she sees a future journalist! Mari comes in and they have the sisters forever talk/hug! Next, we go to Emma’s graduation ceremony where she and Ren have oddly prepared a report on Rod’s sexual abuse to show during the ceremony??? I mean good for you, but in the middle of a graduation ceremony? It was weird. The crowd decides they are all together though and they are going to make sure Rod faces justice. Rod and family leave and the professor tells Emma her report shows she has what it takes to be an excellent journalist – and he’s going to write her a glowing reference to all the top schools! Yay!!! Ren and Emma have a heart to heart where Ren gushes about how strong and honest and good Em is and how much she admires her – so I guess Ren is just off the hook and redeemed now? They hug.

Next, and even more oddly, Adrian shows up to the graduation and Em just greets him happily as if none of the events of earlier that morning ever happened? Adrian says he’ll always be there for her even if they can’t be together because they are cousins, and Darcy is laughing too hard to keep typing more of this.

Lupe is alone in her house and remembering the words of Conchita, she prays to the Virgin since it’s just the two of them now. She prays that Mari will be safe if Carloca is alive and that she won’t hurt her. Mari is thinking of mom too, and there’s a knock on Lupe’s door. She oddly thinks Mari returned and is knocking but it’s Augi – next..

The boys are strategizing when Fede shows up! Sam tries to go after Fede which was funny and I don’t know why anyone stopped him but they did! In between the normal hostilities we find out that the Adrian DNA test came back negative because Fede had VALERO’S hairbrush!!! LOLOLOLOL Fede says he is there because he wants to help them bring Augi down and the Sanchez’s are skeptical but they are listening.

Jesus calls Mari and she answers but they don’t get too far because Mari thinks maybe they are wrong, they were so young, maybe they misunderstood. Jesus says tomorrow they will prove everything and he just wants her to know that no matter what happens he loves her and he doesn’t care who her dad is!

Carloca visits and torments MD, fun!! MD thinks she’s hallucinating which Carloca delights in and uses to her advantage!!! This is comedic gold! MD is sure Carloca is burning in hell and Carloca is thrilled that Vicky thinks she’s going crazy because maybe now she’ll understand how she felt all her life. Vicky runs away from the ghost and Carloca laughs. MD tries to bring Augi to see Carloca is alive but of course by the time they get back the crazy girl has run off, and Augi thinks MD is losing it.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 118 – Part 3 of 3

Domi is ripping up Damian’s drawings so of course he shows up. He’s scaled the building again and she says they have nothing to talk about. She goes off on all his secrets and lies and feeds all daddy’s poison back to Damian. She says she can’t forgive him. Damian says he wanted to tell her the truth a long time ago but he had to find his mom first, that was his priority! Domi points out that he found her, what happened then? Damian says he wasn’t prepared for how sad his mother’s story would be and he realized they had to find proof first, proof of her innocence, and also a way to prove the truth to Domi. Domi says will you have 24 hours for that. Damian says his love for her is real and that he fell into his own trap but he’s going to prove it with deeds not words. He asks for one last favor, he knows somehow that Domi has Jesus’s missing cellphone(??), and they need it. An upset Domi proves once and for all that Sam was right all along, she is good and fair as she points to the cellphone that may incriminate her father and Damian goes to pick it up. Domi says something about trust being given only once and Damian destroying it (which is actually pretty funny since lack of trust has been their issue since day 1 but maybe she means the last five minutes or so when she actually did trust him) she tells him there is no going back. She asks him to leave and to please never, ever come looking for her again. Damian says he can’t promise, she’s the love of his life. He leaves and she cries.

The Sanchez’s are having dinner around the table and Elisa dramatically says this might be their last dinner as a family? Destiny could betray them!! LOL The boys buoy her spirits and they toast to the truth.

Em is still trying to hide booze from MD and Augi is throwing darts to psyche himself up for the showdown. Fede shows up with more bad news, Augi is no longer governor and he’s now considered on the other side of the law. Augi reminds Fede that there’s plenty of room in prison for traditors!

The Sanchez family and the Luis-Montavlo family slow walk into the showdown!!! Augi says alright, present your case but remember you need proof. In truth Elisa style, she starts with the accusation that Augi chased her off and almost killed her the night Victoriano left, forcing her to abandon her children – but of course Elisa doesn’t have any actual proof of this. She says her scar is proof, but someone really should have explained the concept of proof to Elisa. Elisa moves on to Augi killed Victoriano which Domi immediately thinks can’t be true because her grandfather died of a heart attack and Damian says ‘What a coincidence, so did mine!’ lol. Elisa saws first Augi threatened Victoriano with a gun and forces him to sign over a power of attorney and then he stabbed him to death with his own knife. She shows the knife and says she witnessed it. Augi fights back with the accusation that Elisa was Victoriano’s lover and SHE killed him because he was going to leave her!!! So far both have the same problem, no actual proof, and although Vicky seems convinced Augi can dismiss her objections as the ravings of a confused alcoholic, but are any of his daughters swayed? Just before our episode fades to black, Elisa produces the famous letter! Written in Victoriano’s own hand, saying if anything happens to me then Augusto Luis Montalvo did it!!! Will the letter be any more impressive as ‘proof’ this time around then it was at the police station? How will the slow walk-up show down end? Turn in tomorrow to find out!

Thanks, Darcy. You captured all the action as we wind down to the BIG finale. Hey, Patio!

I too laughed at Augi’s Name Game as he flicked all of Jesús’s fake IDs at him. Only in NovelaLand would they reconvene in 24 hours for Chapel Court. Chop! Chop! Don’t they know Sam has a wrestling match we can’t wait for?!!

As we all know, Part 5 of my Friday recap was cursed and did everything (but appear) to drive me bonkers. This was the penultimate paragraph in Part 5: Lupe is alone in her bed and sees Carlota outside the window. Gasp!

Valero’s observation about Augi’s spin was so astute that it doubled as the episode’s title: "Los malos de la telenovela." I was surprised and happy with Vivana’s reveal. That was a good curveball as we were smelling rats on Friday.

I’m very proud of our coverage of this series because we pointed out early on that Augi appeared to be forcing the booze on MD. Not sure which recapper. Not sure which episode, but we called it! That was confirmed today. I also believe it was Saúl who finished off Opera Man. I still want him to come back and teach Samu all about opera!

It was Beanie-tastic that Emma Baccalaureate and Renata would have such a forum at graduation. Are we to believe they finished the year as valedictorian and salutatorian? Either way, they whipped the crowd and parents into a frenzy. I was hoping Rodrigo’s anvil juventil was coming via a public caning or stoning.

Carloca & MD were great fun. Why can’t they have a sitcom? La Borracha y La Fantasma. I’d watch!

During the Sánchez family toast, Adrián is still reduced to drinking non-alcoholic beverages (juice?)! LOL

I was a little disappointed that the políticos stripped Augi of his title. I’d gotten so used to him bellowing, “YO SO EL ALCALDE!” I contemplated creating a drinking game!

Good morning O.S.! Part 5 of your recap did appear, on Saturday night I believe, I just somehow still missed it! SMH. Oh well, Lupe’s super dramatic MIICCCA! Was super fun!!

I also noticed but forgot to put in my recap, we didn’t see anyone other than Adrian at Emma’s graduation! Unless I missed it. I know there was a lot going on but do you think the whole family, even Domi, just skipped it??? Ouch
 

I went and looked back at the scene to make sure, and Ren comments that Rodrigo’s parents are there and Emma says I know, I invited them. Emma then says: ‘I know this event was only for students??’ Lol undoubtedly an attempt of the writers to explain why no one is there but that’s crazy, what kind of graduation ceremony is only for students? Then after the news report runs, we see all the victims parents there saying: He attacked my daughter! So….
 

"GUERRERO" EPISODE #118:

Darcy: EXCELLENT job with the recap of yesterday afternoon's episode. Something tells me Crazy Augi has something sinister planned for Elisa & her 4 sons: just saying.

O.S.: From what I'm seeing on the TV guide here in San Antonio, TX: the Gran Final is on Wednesday, so you can bet I'll likely be TiVo'ing this one for sure.

Praying that Elisa does NOT get killed off in the closing stretch.
 

Guerrero. Superb recap as usual, Darcy. Thank you so much for doing this. It was almost like a courtroom battle between Augi and the Guerreros, though in the front yard. It's a good thing that if need be Elisa has another witness to Victoriano's murder, though I can understand her not wanting to put him in danger. (And later we learn that Augi has a backup plan to run off somewhere and hide). Since Jesus had worked undercover for the government from time to time, it's hardly surprising he had different ids. Yep, O.S., we did catch a brief glimpse of Carlota while Lupe was sleeping. I'm surprised no one has caught her yet. And yes, Viviana's father is an investigative judge--a traditional Hispanic office with origins in Spain, I believe. Wow! Viviana is a lawyer. Sam had better step up his academic studies. Though deserved, I too didn't think the exposure of Rod's wrongdoings at h.s. graduation was really appropriate. I was surprised at the faculty member's (?) positive reaction. And yes, I guess Renata is now fully redeemed. Oh dear. So are Adrian and Emma related or not after that DNA test that was really from Valero's hair? There must be some other kind of proof they're not.
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 119 – Part 1 of 3

Elisa opens the day by proclaiming she has a witness!!! Don Omar!!! MD remembers him, of course, and tells the girls that he worked for grandpa but left for the US after grandpa died. Omar confirms it’s true he was too afraid to stay and tell the truth. He confirms Elisa’s story – Augi killed Victoriano! The girls are looking alarmed now but Augi tries to claim Omar has been paid to lie!!! But Omar has his own additional proof – a voicemail message proving that it was Augi who had sent Don Victoriano a message asking him to go to the bodega!! Or so I thought, but the voice mail is played and it’s a recording between Augi and Victoriano where Victoriano is begging Augi not to kill him. Augi claims it proves nothing and Damian brings up the proof that Augi did indeed send spoiled milk to the children and Sam shows the newly re-acquired video of Augi threatening Iker shortly before he died. MD says they heard enough! How can her daughters possibly believe dad? Vicky adds the information that Augi gave the order to kill Santiago and tried to convince her that she had killed him. Augi finally breaks and says he did kill Victoriano because Don Victoriano had killed Augi’s own father to steal all HIS money! Augi had to get revenge!!! He had to recover what’s his (Are you listening Lisardo? Damian? Samuel?) Elisa says nothing gives him the right to take justice into his own hands, but Augi too points out that Elisa’s sons infiltrated his home and deceived them all and Domi pipes in pointing out to Dad that he did those same things too!! He just confessed it!! Oh, the circular webs we’ve weaved!

Mica is cleaning the storage room?? LOL She finds plates of food and remembers Lupe telling her that Carloca is alive. Meanwhile, Carloca and Lucas are at the Garcia house….Carlota puts Mari’s clothes up to her and pretends to talk to Jesus, it’s all fun and games until she finds the pregnancy test and realizes that Mari is pregnant and it’s probably Jesus’s baby.

Domi comes to the logical conclusion that the Guerrero/Sanchez’s aren’t any different from Daddy, they came to their house with only one intention – to destroy them! Domi says Carloca is dead! Who’s next? Me? Emma? Mariluz? Jesus admits that their first intention was to harm them, but they quickly realized that couldn’t do it. Sam says it’s the truth, Carloca is dead because of her own mental health issues and craziness, not because of their actions. Jesus backs Sam up and says Carloca suffered because her father never gave her the help she needed and he paid a very high price for his actions, he almost lost the woman he loves, Mariluz! He tells Mari that he knows she’s confused and she should take all the time she needs. Damian says they decided to try to do things right because of their love, but Domi isn’t hearing it and she says she always thought Sam was the best of them but he must just be the best liar. Sam says he never lied to Domi but she doesn’t believe him. Damian says it’s true, Sam never agreed with the plan and he always defended Domi since the very beginning. Domi doesn’t want to hear it, she tells Damian and all of them to disappear from her life. Augi says you heard her! Leave!!! They agree to leave but Elisa assures them as they go that they will recover their property and provide the police with all the proof they need to put Augi in jail! The Sanchez clan goes to leave and we hear Fede on the phone telling someone to shoot them all in the heart!!!!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 119 – Part 2 of 3

Guys with guns are on the landing and ready – gunshots start ringing out and each Sanchez is shot!!! The girls are desperate to go help but Augi and Fede prevent them! It’s too dangerous! They come in and Augi sends Saul and the guys out to secure the premises and shoot whoever moves!!! The women are freaking out as Augi drags Fede into the study. They have to figure out who ordered this attack!!! Fede says there’s nothing to figure out, I ordered it!!! He has his phone recording or some sort of speaker on, and unbeknownst to Augi their conversation is being heard by the women of the house. Fede says it’s what Augi wanted, he ordered him to kill Octavio’s sons many times! Augi agrees!!! Of course, he wants them dead! They know everything about him and they were going to send him to jail!! Good job Fede, very good job!!! Just as Augi starts to give Fede instructions for how to clean up the crime scene, the three sisters burst on the scene! They just heard everything he said!!! They are so disappointed. How could he? Domi says she thought the Guerrero’s were despicable, but she was wrong, the only despicable one is dad!!! MD smiles like the cat that ate the canary.

Emma yells at Fede ‘How could you do this?’ ‘Adrian is your son! He’s our cousin!!! Why?’ Augi says no way! This traitor is adopted!!! (There’s our answer to how Emma and Adrian aren’t related) Augi’s sister could never had children naturally…..the woman continue to scream about what a horror show it is to have Augi as a dad/husband!

The Sanchez’s are all perfectly fine! The shooting was a plan to trap Augi. They have bullet proof vests on and Jesus and Fede perfectly planned it so all bullets would hit the vests. Augi needs an ambulance as chest pains hit again and Viv comes to tell the Sanchez clan that the police are on the way. The ladies come out of the house, Fede told them what happened and they heard the whole truth from Augi. Emma hugs Adrian. Mari apologizes to Jesus for doubting him! MD even apologizes!!! To all of them for the way she’s treated them! Domi simply says you accomplished your goal, congratulations! I think it’s time for you to leave, you have nothing more to do here. She walks away and Em reluctantly follows.

Fede goes off on Augi, how can Augi talk about betrayal after everything that Augi has done to his family? He tells him that he was happy to plan all this with the Guerreros! Augi looks shocked and Fede says why do you think there wasn’t a single head shot? It was all planned!!! Augi orders Fede out of the house and Mica comes to tell Augi that his ambulance is there.

Elisa tells MD that her father’s last words were for her! (Aw, I guess, but I still say she’s earned her anvil) MD thanks her profusely and hugs her. Jesus tells Fede the plan is complete and it’s time to say goodbye. Fede asks how Adrian is doing but Adrian says since when do you care? You never cared before and I don’t need you now. Just then the police arrive, Fede is arrested for killing Beltran Jr and they are looking for Augi too, but he’s already left in the ambulance.

Carloca and Lucas are back at the Mansion. They wonder what’s going on outside and if the police are looking for Lucas since he escaped the looney bin. She sends Lucas off to hide but Mica brings the family to see what she discovered earlier and they find Lucas. They foolishly believe that Lucas is the full explanation of all the weirdness. Carloca is dead! Loca herself overhears and chuckles. The clinic is called to pick up Lucas.

Augi makes it to the hospital but takes off with one of his men instead of going to get medical care. He calls Lupe of course, and asks her to run away with him….at least she said no. Augi is alone, alone, alone!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 119 – Part 3 of 3

The wrestling match is in the works and the guy is planning something to force Sam to lose…. I didn’t really catch it but he has duct tape involved somehow.

Emma runs into Adrian’s arms, literally, and gives him the big news, they aren’t cousins! They can be together!!! The music swells and the making out begins!

Sam is ready to go and Valero is giving him a pep talk and telling him how proud he is of him! As a wrestler, a coach, and his best friend. Viv comes in and has her own moments with Sami (Darcy is trying to listen to every word of the song but I don’t recognize it, sorry) The fight starts (why isn’t the whole fam there?) and Sam is losing of course, because of whatever it is they did to the ring – it’s not just tape, it was something that was taped to the ring? I don’t know, like maybe a brick or something really hard? Sam goes down HARD! But the refs realize something is off and it looks like the other guy will get disqualified and Sam will retain his title. This won’t matter much though, because the doctor tells him he can never wrestle again. He was lucky but the hit he took affected his spine (I think) and another hit could leave him paralyzed. His career in the ring is over! ☹

Months later…

Mari is now very pregnant, enjoying her successful business and happy with Jesus but she’s still nervous, though she doesn’t know why. Augi is still on the lamb and the police have no clues. Domi and Emma are worried about daddy but a still drinking MD thinks they should abandon him like he abandoned them! Try hating him like me, it’s more fun! Lol She goes to her room and talks to someone about how they ‘finally sold that house!’ She will see them there to sign and notarize the papers. She looks for even more alcohol and we see that Carlcoa is still ‘haunting’ MD!

Elisa and the boys recover their Finca!

Lupe gets a call that she needs to go see the notary and as she hangs up MD shows up to give her the news, I sold your house! You’ll have to get out, tomorrow!!! (Yea, that’s how that works) MD insults, Lupe slaps the hell out of her – which was fun.

Sam and Viv are swimming in their spot and Viv notices that Sam is upset and she asks what’s up. He starts to tell her but stops because he doesn’t want her to get mad. She says she won’t be mad, it’s about Domi right? She just wants to know if he still loves her. Sam says he does love her, but as a friend. That’s why he’s worried about her. She’s still separated from Damian and she’s unhappy. He wishes he could help. Viv says she has an idea…. does Sam want to help her get those two back together?

Valero and Mica have a candlelight dinner – IN THE GARAGE!!! He gives her a brand-new iron and proposes marriage!!! It’s silly but so fitting Valero. They dance and she spins him.

Vicky is meeting with her lawyer, or real estate agent? Or Notary? Who knows, but she makes sure she has the money and then signs. She’s done, right? She doesn’t need to wait for anything. The guy tells her she can go but before she does, Lupe arrives. MD assumes she’s there to beg for the house not to be sold but Lupe says she has no idea why she is there; she was asked to show up. Just as everyone is good and confused the very pregnant Mari shows up! From the way Lupe stares at the baby bump it would seem she still isn’t seeing much of Mari. MD is surprisingly respectful of Mari and only says a confused hello. Mari tells them all that Lupe is there to sign the papers for HER house! Mari is the one who bought the house, and she’s buying it as a gift for her momma! And on that sweet note we leave the penultimate episode with an elated Lupe rubbing on her daughter’s belly!

Will MD throw a house fit? Will she get an anvil? Will Carloca get caught? Where is Augi? How will Vivana and Sam get Domi and Damian back together? Will everyone end up happily ever after? Will anyone end up happily ever after? Or will we just be happy it’s over?? Tune in to tomorrow’s Gran Fin (or Por Fin) to find out!!!

Hey, Patio! Are you ready for our little show’s finale?!!

Thanks, Darcy! You captured all the grit (temple court) and glam (iron proposal) of our penultimate episode. Thanks again for all you’ve done this season.

I should have known better when Los Sánchez were shot. I was shocked! It was pretty graphic, and I was NOT expecting that at all so kudos to the show. They got me. LOL

I’m pretty sure Doménica’s frost will melt, but then again, we’ve learned we can’t trust those spurious credits!

How convenient that Fede is adopted. I was certain that MD was going to admit Emma was the product of a drunken tryst. This would explain (but not justify) why she was so abusive. I will be very disappointed if MD’s anvil doesn’t come today. The icing on the (strawberry) cake will be if it comes via Carlota.

I was surprised they ended Samu’s wrestling career. That was an odd twist. I was nervous when he and Valero were hugging and celebrating their friendship. Whew!

Loved your finale questions. A house fit? Hopefully a house will fall on MD. LOL. They’ve aggressively hinted at Augi’s heart problems. His GPS is likely 6.5 miles from Infartoville. Sam & Viv will be cutest cupids and reunite Dome & Damián. This, of course, is pure speculation. We will miss Sam & Valero, but enjoy our break from PSAs and Adrian’s stoopid earring. I will miss fussing about the aforementioned jewelry.

Darcy, are you recapping the finale or putting up notes? I can cover it and/or we can all post our thoughts. Please review and advise.

Guerrero. Another marvelous recap, Darcy! I'm glad Elisa produced that fake witness, and whoa! That fake massacre! Hilarious when we found out it wasn't real. And the women overhearing the conversation between Fede and Augi was a bonus. Hmm. That recording between Augi and Victoriano is over 20 years old. How good was voice mail on cell phones then? I guess there were cell phones, just not elaborate smart phones? How handy for Adrian and Emma that Fede turned out to be adopted. Beanie hat? The writers certainly teased us with that Valero hairbrush DNA. I too think Vicki has earned an anvil. Another beanie hat about Carlota's still hanging out at the Ruiz Montalvo house; even though she has shown herself to 2 people and been there for several months (judging by Mariluz's tummy), she hasn't been discovered. (also her hair doesn't seem to have grown). I have mixed feeling about Sam's no longer being able to wrestle due to his opponent's stabbing him with that long, slender knife. I hope Viviana sues the pants off the wrestling manager and the wrestling venue. I'm glad Lupe now owns her own house (Also doesn't she have some of Augi's money?). Mariluz is so good! I for one will bappy this tn is over!

Hey all, I was stuck in the basement at work today and without internet so I haven’t been able to see or comment until now. O.S., I see you volunteered to recap the finale! I will take you up on that!!! I was planning to work on it tonight but I just had the longest most frustrating day at work and I would be more than happy to just relax this evening! Thank you!!!!! I will make my own comments/remarks after you post your recap.

 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 12O - Part 1 of 3.

We start with Mariluz asking Lupe for forgiveness for icing her out this whole time. Before Lupe can beat her usual dead horses, Mari cuts her off. She gets it! Reconciliation is complete. This is all happening in the realtor’s office. Victoriana, witnessing all this, begins to shake. Delirium tremens and/or Parkinson’s may be afoot.

Next we are at an art gallery exhibition. Doménica’s visage is featured prominently in many of the works. Elisa and Damián greet the attendees. Elisa congratulates Damián on his exhibition and enduring the pain of his breakup. He still has hope.

Viv has convinced Doménica to get over herself and get back out. They are now friends, and that’s what friends are for. We pan out to see Samu in the same hallway. Team Cupid is up to something.

They enter the gallery and Dome sees her face all over the place. Sam enters and beckons Damián over. Damián welcomes her to the show and explains that every painting is inspired by her expressions. He doesn’t deserve her; he hurt her. Nevertheless, he recognized true love, and that will stay with him always. She can forget about him, but he will never reciprocate. He hopes she can enjoy the show and thanks her for coming. She admits she could never forget about him. They’ve loved each other always. They agree to a fresh start. Damián tells Elisa his muse has forgiven him. The song that plays is “Toma” by Jorge Dehar.

Next we’re on Viviana’s turf. She asks Samu if he’s sure about what he’s about to do. He is. He’s riding horseback and about to attempt the feared “Paso de la Muerte.” The crowd cheers and Sam waves. Sam executes this move (hopping from one horse to another in the round) and the crowd goes wild. Sam proposes to Viviana, puts a ring on it, and she accepts.

Next, Damián wants Doménica to know the real him (Damián Guerrero vs. Damián Sánchez). The latter doesn’t believe in vengeance. He believes in love. Since he was a child he always drew. Then he learned guitar. Art has always saved him. He believes everyone deserves a second chance. He loves freedom, oh, and he’s been in love with her since the first time he saw her smile. He presents himself as Damián Sánchez Corso. She introduces herself and admits she’s been in love with him since the first time she saw him. They smooch. Fireworks go off, and he proposes. She accepts.

Next, we’re at some sort of formal gathering. Elisa and her boys are dressed to the 9s. Judge DoRight walks Viviana down the aisle. Next Emma escorts Doménica down the aisle. Finally, Lupe brings (a skinny) Mariluz down the aisle. What the what?!! There’s no indication of the time continuum.

It’s a triple wedding! Elisa is holding a baby and sitting next to Lupe. Mica has her hair down and is sitting next to Valero. Adrián & Emma are sitting together as well. The couples say their vows and go through the traditional rituals.

It’s all very romantic, and then we see Carloca on the grounds. She visits the tree (with Lizardo & Mari’s initials) and looks quite unhinged.

The entire wedding party is taking a group photo, and we see Carloca pushing a baby carriage en friega. The wedding party realizes Angelito has gone missing and panics.
 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 12O - Part 2 of 3.

Carloca and Angelito join Lucas at a place with a ladder, a tall tree, and bungee cords(!).

Modesta and Lupe are searching the grounds and split up. Augi appears out of nowhere and declares his undying love. Lupe puts the kibosh on his claptrap by informing him that their grandchild is missing. Modesta reappears with the news that Carloca is the babynapper. Augi is gobsmacked and then thinks she may be at the place she liked to frequent as a child.

Carloca sends Lucas up high in the trees with the promise of the ultimate dulces.

Lupe and Modesta break the news to Mari, et. al, that Carlota is alive AND she has Angelito. Modesta shares Augi’s assumption about their whereabouts. Jesús springs into action. Viv calls to report a fugitive (Augi) is on the grounds.

Augi and Carlota have a Father-Pyro reunion. He thought she was dead. She thought he had fled. It’s almost as of Dr. Seusss wrote this. The reunion is all sweet until Carlota pulls back and says she knows Mari is Augi’s daughter. Augi fails to reason with her. She orders Lucas to pull Angelito up via a system of pulleys. Augi races up a tree to stop the madness. The cradle drops. Augi screams, “No!” and falls.

Carloca watches the cradle drop and Lucas comes down the ladder. Augi is sprawled out across the lawn as Jesús approaches. Carloca and Lucas flee. Jesus checks the cradle for Angelito. It’s empty. Augi gets up. He has caught/saved the baby. He says, “I took away your father, but I give you your son.” Jesús proselytizes that Augi’s crimes have no pardon, and it’s time to do right. This scene is oddly filmed - it’s very obvious that Jesús and Augi are not physically in the same place. Jesús’s scenes appear to have been reshot. Carloca flees and Augi is arrested.

Back at the wedding locale Elisa breaks the world record for including “Guerrero” in a motivational speech. Jesús shows up carrying Angelito (clearly Resusci Baby). After a long, overdrawn sequence it’s revealed the baby is ok. Everyone rejoices.

Carlota is alone in a room at the finca and still fuming about everything Mariluz has taken away from her. Jesùs. Augi. One thing she won’t give up is her house. She breaks open a crate of hooch and douses the floor with alcohol. Next she fires up a lighter and drops it onto the accelerant. The scene (her demise) is very haunting and Carrie-esque.

Adriàn visits Fede in jail. He wants to explain what happened with Amelia. Fede says he was young and furious at having lost everything. One night he got drunk and…
PAUSE
Not buying it. Fede has a pattern of sexual assault. What was his excuse with Selena?
RESUME
He just wants forgiveness. Adrián is not buying it. Fede wants to be a good father. Adrian says he already has Chucho and his cousins. Maybe when he gets out, they can get to know each other. Fede cries.

Augi is sentenced to 23 years in prison for all his crimes.
 

Corazón Guerrero - Capítulo 12O - Part 3 of 3.

Emma gets a job with Televisia monitoring shameless product placement or reporting or something. Adrián is proud, and a lawyer to boot.

Lupe visits Augi in jail (at his bequest). He’s paying the price for his mistakes. She calls them bad decisions perhaps fueled by a toxic heart. She has forgiven him; after all, he saved Angelito. He is totally sorry; he’s lost everything. He wonders if someday his daughters will forgive him. She says these things take time. He vows to make up for all he’s done once he gets out. He cries and says she will always be the lady of his life.

Doménica voiceover: Mommy Dearest insists on staying at a rehab center. She’s found peace helping teens fight addiction. Moreover, she donated her fortune to Rehab. We see MD mopping away. Doménica and Emma approach. Hugs ensue. They invite her to the farm, but she’s not ready to leave. She says it may appear she has nothing, but she has peace. She stays busy and feels useful. She asks them to keep visiting her. They agree and huh.

Tiempo después…

Samu Jr. Is making the rounds via horseback. Viv says one more round and Sam says she is the boss (despite him holding the reins. Literally. LOL).

Damián Jr. is trying to run over Valero (and Mica) with his Big Wheel. Everyone laughs at how much he acts like Damian.

Jesús Jr. (Angelito) stops his car and opens the hood to fix it with his tools.

Everyone sits down to eat. Adrián proposes to Emma. She accepts.

All the couples and kids and family are happy. We get one final group shot and…

Good morning O.S., I haven’t had time to read the recap yet but I emailed RGV Chick and asked her to look for Part 1. Been dealing with an issue at work all morning but I’ll be back to read and comment on our eventful finale just as soon as I can!
 

"GUERRERO" GRAN FINAL EPISODE #120:

O.S.: Thank you very much for your long & special recap of yesterday afternoon's Gran Final. I do have some questions though: Were some of the scenes cut out of Univision yesterday ? I felt this should've been a 2-HR Gran Final to be honest ?

Why was Guadalupe so forgiving of Crazy Augi ?

Darcy: I noticed that Emma gets a job working with Televisa: the irony LOL. Domenica (Oka Giner) was quite an intriguing character & Oka Giner has been doing double-duty lately working on "Guerrero" & "Perdona". She's an amazing actress.

Mommy Dearest mopping the floor. She kind of get off somewhat easy considering all of the expletive she pulled during this Telenovela.

Crazy Augi sentenced to 23 years in prison ? C'Mon Man: He should've been given like 73 years or more.

Elisa (Gabriela Spanic) & Lupe (Natalia Esperon) were my favorite characters during this whole thing. Mariluz & Jesus along with Jesus Jr., getting their happily ever after.

I did enjoy the Triple Wedding between Jesus & Mariluz; Damian & Domenica; Sam & Viviana: it was amazing & beautiful.

Univision should consider having new daytime Telenovelas soon!
 

Guerrero. Wonderful recap of the Gran Final, O.S.! I'm so happy that Mariluz bought Lupe the house where she had been living. I loved the art exhibit (though its theme is a bit limited). Damian is now a serious professional artist. I'm also glad he and Domi reconciled. And we see that Sam now has a new avocation --exhibition horseback riding--probably not as lucrative as lucha libre, but it seems enjoyable. Again, I certainly hope Sam is continuing with his studies. Well, Carlota finally does herself in--bizarre. But the baby is saved (of course!) and Jesus and Mariluz may need a new marriage license and brief ceremony now that Carlota is legitimately dead. We didn't see Lucas break out of the mental hospital again. And we also don't see whether the house (the full-scale mansion or the cottage behind it?) is burned down. Yep, Augi gets off pretty easy for his crimes. I don't buy Vicki's reformation and donation of her fortune either. Ahhhh. The 3 young male cousins are set to be the next generation's Guerrero group. What happened to Heriberto? He certainly deserved to find happiness but we don't even see him again.

Thank you O.S., for another fantastic recap!!! You covered everything and with your signature wit! I especially loved, 'Emma gets a job with Televisia monitoring shameless product placement or reporting or something.' LOL Come on, we all no that no one at Televisa monitors shameless product placement! Those people LOVE their coke! lol

This was a very odd FIN to me...so odd. The first thing I noticed is that basically everyone got self-inflicted anvils:

Fede - went to jail, but after working with the guys to trap Augi and then basically turning himself in. And I agree with you, he has a pattern of sexual assault and even if he didn't who builds a relationship with their mother's rapist because he's their dad??? That was weird, unsettling, and unsatisfying.

Augi - Ultimately turned himself in more or less. And only 27 years for multiple murders?? I'm with you Steve that was a way too light sentence, and Lupe is still forgiving him and still loving him in her sick little way....yuck yuck yuck.

MD - is scrubbing floors at the rehab by her own choice?? LOL That was a weird twist but oddly I didn't hate this one. It's like MD said, these writers aren't going to stick it to me so I'll take matters into my own hands, she saw the writing on the wall.

And Carloca of course, sets her own fire and while no one is looking or pressuring her....so so so odd....I still wish we had seen exactly what happened to her mom. We know that she died in some sort of fire and I think it was teased that it was self-inflicted but I wanted to see it the whole time and I was expecting some sort of twist - like Augi lit the match, or Loca was Loca even then and did it herself. They never told us, I'm disappointed.

Damian's art exhibit is cool and all, but 17 different pictures of Domi? LOL

There were other oddities - like Sam gave Viv a very public proposal but none of his family was there? I understand no one being there for Damian's proposal because it was private, but if you are planning to propose in front of a huge crowd, don't you invite family? I did notice we didn't have to witness ANOTHER Jesus to Mariluz proposal which was a departure for the dead horse society writers.

Overall I'm not a fan of how it ended anvil-light, but I do think it fit with the writing of the show as a whole. These writers created a weird little world and I wouldn't want to live there but I enjoyed visiting it and sharing the journey with all of you!
