Let's start with a) what I am most likely to forget b) something different than what I bitched about all last week.

Perla found Lisa's phone?? I have the ?'s because I didn't see this but it's in the recap. I don't know if the episode was edited for daytime, or if I just was distracted during that scene, but I read about it in the recap and I'm wondering how they knew it was Lisa's phone? Also, I wonder what could be on it.... you'd think it has some sort of evidence and that's why Juan's kept it.

Mark has Carito and he was just plain CREEPY in those scenes, I could have been spared that!!! LOL Carito too I suppose. I have decided that dude playing Mark must be a really great actor because I really can't stand him, and I mean I REALLY CAN'T!!! So, I guess that makes him a believable creep, congratulations, I guess?? LOL

Cesar seemed to have his eyebrow raised at the new doctor, I hope he looks into it. Watched that 'doctor' play with Fernanda was disturbing, almost disturbing enough to make me less annoyed with her ranting and raving like a 5-year-old later - almost. But mostly, I am just tired of seeing her be a spoiled brat all the time and still get babied and excused by everyone!

Luci had a great line and was absolutely right, she told Marta that if she loved Fernanda so much she should teach her to become a better person (paraphrased, she said strong woman who didn't manipulate/blackmail people, same thing)! Which is exactly what Fernanda's problem is, everyone who truly loves her (counting Marta and David, not Gracie since Gracie only loves herself) loves her to her detriment, and not her good. Marta is practically obsessed with her, but she doesn't love her enough to correct her. Lil doesn't care, David has no earthly idea what he is doing, Gracie only wants a pawn, Bobby is too young, Tano and Sonia have the wrong power dynamic and can't do it.

I really want to go on another I hate Marta rant, but I think the real problem is I hate these writers... their characters make no sense! Marta is supposed to be the beloved nanny and mother, and a 'good' character but she is the most unlikable good girl I have seen!!! (Guadalupe on Corazon Guerrero was in this boat too but not as bad) She's horrible!

Speaking of not knowing what to do, do you think none of the writers are parents? Or they are all bad parents? Or they are intentionally trying to make David a bad parent? Maybe they brainstormed exactly what not to do in this situation and then said, yes, let's have David do that!!! Someone pointed out on the OG recap that David wasn't horrible like Fern said since he didn't abandon or abuse her and is trying, and I'll give him that. But his parenting instincts must be a -25 on a scale of 1 to 10!!!! Dude allowed his daughter to sucker punch his girlfriend and said not one word of rebuke to her on that front, but now that she's in the hospital but supposed attempted suicide he's taking a moment to forbid her from seeing her boyfriend??? It is the most lopsided and goofy development. It's like, sit down list all the many many things that are going on in this dynamic - now which one is least important/impactful? Tano, oh okay, I'll go on an anti-Tano rant today!!! Yeah, 5 points!!!

And then there's stupid Miggy and his berating Luci for doing exactly what he's always known she was doing, weeks after their breakup and what, hours after he slept with Erika??? Sigh....but he doesn't deserve a beat down. The sudden violence, on multiple fronts felt a little weird since this show has had almost no violence.

Vino. Great observations on Mark, David, the psychiatrist, and Marta, Darcy! Mark is truly a sadist. Will he really disfigure Carito? Miguel is being a dog in the manger with Luci. I presume that someone or something will interrupt the thug so he doesn't shoot Miguel after beating him down, or maybe he's just threatening to shoot him. I hope Tano goes back to community college soon. He revealed that he has been tutoring Fer, and that is one of the reasons her grades have improved, so I'm assuming he's pretty smart and truly absorbed his high school classes--also it's a good review for him as he heads back to school. Marta is indeed ever more irritating. And granted, all I know about psychiatry comes from movies and tv programs, but this guy is telling Fer what she should believe. I thought they were supposed to ask questions that let the patient draw his or her own conclusions. More signs he's a crook.
 

OT. I will be taking advantage of the No Novela Day to go shopping.
