MINAS #64 Part 1

I was lost in the majority of dialog tonight. Apologies, I did the best I could. Kindly add anything important that I missed or got wrong.

At the negotiating table, a clause has been added that should Roberta die, Victoria will be the recipient of her share of the mine. Roberta seems unnerved for a moment, then regains her composure and agrees.

Emilia and Sebas share another intimate moment born of their closeness, respect, and fondness for each other. She asks about Miriam and his son. He said he is not his biological son. He agrees Miriam is a good woman. He kneels by her side but is interrupted by Leo.

Addled is eating peanuts and swilling liquor. Sara has a belt or two as well, hinting she and Leo are having difficulties because he is interested in Victoria! Addled who is the very last person who should be giving advice to the lovelorn, tells his daughter she is attractive and what she needs to do to hold onto her man.

New boots, flashlights and helmets are being handed out to the miners. Marijo and Gael get into it in front of everyone, Leo grinning in the background.

We see a flashback of Emilia and Nico when he was younger, horsing around. Back in real time, Nico is sad thinking about his mother. Unfortunately he is joined by Roberta who reminds him his mother is dead.

Sara calls Leo and says she needs to see him it’s important.

Sebas and Emilia hug, she leaves and he smiles broadly. After she leaves she walks outside the mine and a car roars up, nearly running her over! Leo manages to get her out of the way just in time! A concerned Sebas comes running up. At first glance, it seemed the “elimination” round of the mine ownership competition had begun. However, I believe this was something Emilia planned and executed for Leo’s benefit to try and point the blame at Roberta (if I am wrong, please correct me).

I think Sebas is concerned as to how Emilia is trying to combat Roberta and is fearful she is traveling down a dangerous path.

Gael is visiting his father and Zaira as chickens cluck in the background. Victoria is the topic of the day.

Addled bursts into the bar muttering that there is little difference between the restaurant and the bar. Fidel is there and he and Orlando start arguing. Just as Addled mentions Flor, she and a bevy of beauties appear. Addled is distracted.

Leo confronts Roberta in front of Sara and Joaquina about Nico and Fidel. Roberta fake cries acting all wounded and indifferent. After she flounces out, Sara tells Leo neither she nor their family are important to him.

Sebastian, Aleida, Danilo and Emilia meet. Corrupt assassins are discussed.

MINAS #64 Part 2 of 2

A small crowd has gathered in the bar including a few reporters and photographers. There is a red ribbon for the christening of the “new” bar. Fidel gives a speech and introduces La Patrona, Addled and even Ezequiel (oh brother). Even poor Orlando gets a quick mention. Jenny looks miserable, as indeed she should. All of a sudden, Flor and the other servers come twirling out in white half shirts, plaid tops, and daisy dukes. The men whistle like Neanderthals and Roberta rolls her eyes. Jenny reluctantly cuts the ribbon.

Emilia flashes back to bike riding with Nico, bidding him a good night as she looks at his picture. Nico is sitting on his bed when Leo comes in to say good night. Nico looks very unhappy and Leo tries to distract him by instigating a tickle fight.

Orlando confronts Flor as Roberta and Jenny square off. Roberta mentions Mau and Jenny, upset, tells Roberta she loved him but the feeling wasn’t reciprocated. Roberta “warns” her about Flor but Jenny defends Orlando. “Chow” Roberta cattily sneers as she leaves. Jenny looks back at Flor and Orlando with uncertainty but gives herself a pep talk. She sees her father ogling and manhandling the servers and shakes her head muttering “idiots”.

Somehow Nico has allowed his idiot peers to dare him into going into the mine to face a haunted cave. If that weren’t bad enough, he tied both of his hands together. This has “disaster” written all over it!

Aleida cannot wait to see her son she tells Emilia. Emilia wants Dan to come up with as much info on Roberta as he can. Sebas comes in and he and Emilia take off, Danilo looking a bit concerned.

Nico is outside face timing his “friends” and loses the signal.

Roberta and Marijo are having breakfast when Joaquina rushes in, waving a note from Nico…Roberta is freaking out, in full panic mode.

Jenny and Sara talk, Sara admits she got the third degree about the flowers. She asks Sara if she is pregnant. Sara gets angry and says are you crazy?

Outside La Gloria, Victoria and Sebas emerge to be greeted by several cars, lights flashing. Ezequiel confronts them, just as he gets a call from La Patrona that Nico has disappeared! Emilia looks worriedly at Sebaa.

In the last scene, Emilia is on the phone, face mirroring grave concern…

"MINAS" EPISODE#64:

Diana: Howdy from the Alamo City. Thank you very much for your recap of last night's episode.

I see Sebastian meets with Emilia, Adelia & Danillo. What could possibly go wrong ? OMG! If I was the director, I would have this Telenovela drag on for 20+ years or similar to Telemundo's "ESDLC".

Creepy Roberta always lurking around Nico gives me the creeps.

Crazy Whacky Blonde Sara & Danillo both need to go away ASAP so we can focus on the juicyness of the Telenovela.

VENCER LA CULPA #14

Rambling along . . .

Flashback: Genaro and Dulce exchange gifts. He gives her a red bracelet and she gives him a little stuffed bull drenched in her perfume so he will be remember her. They are crazy about each other.

Manuela has news for the other women. The DNA found in the apartment is not Dulce's. She asks if anybody saw Dulce wearing a red (evil eye protection) bracelet that appears in photos. Amanda says she never took it off. Manuela asks if she is sure. Amanda says how is she supposed to know. Later, Amanda will tell Yaneli she doesn't like Manuela.

Yaneli's interest is piqued with the bracelet looking familiar to her. She goes through Genaro's things and finds another wrapped around the neck of the little stuffed bull. Genaro catches her and asks he what she is doing going through his things.

The brat ends up being suspended only for three days rather than expelled because the principal is impressed with Leandro's social position being the leading lawyer in the country that he is. Manuela is summarily ignored at the parent conference by both of the men.

Manuela tells Leandro one more time tat she is not interested in him.

The brat continues being the brat conniving with her father behind her mother's back. He assures her that she will be going on the school trip no matter what her mother says and soon the three of them will be a family again.

Paloma is assigned to work with Franco on a mammoth marketing campaign for Biogene Lab for their DNA test ( connects with "Vencer el pasado") He is insulting to her on her work habits and on the way she conducts her life. Paloma has had it with him and her boss and quits.

Pablo talks to his phone guy who is going to trace the exact place in Guadalajara from where one of his son's phones was last used. Pablo talks to his detective and presents him with all of the information he found out on his own. He tells the detective that he has been doing nothing but stealing money from him. The detective calls Carmina and says he fears that Pablo is on to them. Carmina wonders with Nancy: what to do now?

Everardo needs chemo. He is in the hospital. Amanda says she will take care of him even though the louse calls her a slut when she gets a text and doesn't tell him who it is from. (????) It is from Enrique. She agrees to help him out with another dog issue.

Interested in seeing who the other woman is, Lorena goes to get some counseling from Manuela for her marital problems. It comes out that years ago, Lorena thought her husband was cheating on her and now she feels like he is again but that this time he doesn't care if she finds out. Lorena is also interested in finding out what Manuela's daughter is like. She finds out what school the brat goes to via her social media. Lorena appears in the principal's office to ask about their programs.

Minas
Great job, Diana.
Roberta wants to investigate the 'accident'.I wonder if it occurred to E she might want to do this.
They better stop showing these scenes with E and Seb because they are giving me false hopes.
That scene with Marijo and Gael was irritating. I'm sick of her jealousy fits. And she is a hypocrite too if she thinks she can be mad at Gael seeing Cayetana whereas she can flirt with that Velos guy.
Addled seems to have advised his daughter she should show Leo she is perfectly fine without him because this brings out male insecurities. She decided it's a good idea but appears to be too mad about the fact he risked his life for Victoria to successfully impliment this wonderfulstrategy. She outright admitted to Addled she can't do it. I find this especially irritating somehow. She claimes she loves her daughter. I'd easier believe in the existence of alians.
E seems to want to talk to Ramiro's wife because his son Rigo is Nico's friend.
Does Roberta enjoy causing suffering, no matter how minor? Because her comment to Jen was odd. Why bring Mauricio up?
Why does Leo's voice sound so tired and resigned in these last episodes?

OT..Hi, Chickie . Thank you for all you do. Sending you my thanks and lots of good vibrations )))))))))

VENCER

Jarifa, thank you for your superb recap; your astute comments are so enlightening and helpful.

"Manuela is summarily ignored at the parent conference by both of the men" perfectly captured that frustrating scene.

Lorena is becoming quite the detective, bound and determined to unearth the truth. But can she handle the truth? Further, what does she think will happen and what does she want to happen? For Leandro to confess all and promise to mend his errant ways, being faithful from this point on? She is living in a dream world.

I have the feeling Leandro has every intention of insinuating himself into Julieta's life to the point she will have no use for her mother. He is not a disciplinarian but will enable and abet in Julieta's outrageous behavior.

Pablo has excellent instincts and should fire the detective immediately. He is intelligent and rationalizes very well.

I was shocked the DNA in the apartment wasn't Dulce's! The mysery deepens. I'm very interested in this storyline although with each passing day, I'm more fearful Dulce is not alive.

Amanda must leave Everardo's. How vicious and terrible he is.

Paloma found her voice; Franco is arrogant and unappealing.

Diana

MINAS

Good morning Waterlily, I hope you are improving a bit each day.

I appreciate your kind words. Thank you for all of your wonderful additions!

It makes perfect sense Roberta would want to investigate the accident. Hopefully, Emilia and company had realized that would occur and taken steps to make it authentic??

I agree that Marijo and Gael's scenes are annoying. Silly little games. I do wonder though if Cayetana is quite serious about keeping Gael for herself.

"She claimes she loves her daughter. I'd easier believe in the existence of alians" had me chuckling away! Great line. And Sara doesn't seem to love Romina, sadly.

Rather than trying to be a bit more independent, (Addled did have a bit of a point I grudgingly admit) Sara is going to let her jealousy overrule her better judgement.

Yes, Roberta likes to make every little cut a gaping, emotional wound.

"Why does Leo's voice sound so tired and resigned in these last episodes?" said it all. His fire has been extinguished. He needs to roar back to life.

Steve, you are very welcome.

Diana

OT

Susanlynn, you are about the only one who calls me "Chickie" so I'm assuming that you posted the above "OT" message. You are very welcome and thank you so much for the good vibes!

I'm not on here very much, but I do drop in to read the comments....and post pages plus monitor from "behind the scenes". Keep the wonderful discussions going, always a pleasure to take a break from RL and know that I have some delightful conversations to read :-)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

OT...yes, Chickie, that was me !!!! We had so many fun conversations over the years ...you, kirby, and me and sometimes Julie ...detention hall....your animalitos . I wonder if Kirby still lurks here now and again. Loving regards, Susan

Vencer

Thanks, Jarifa, i enjoyed your recap.

I wanted to slap Leandro and tell him to shut up.(at the school). I wonder if he went to Manuela’s office knowing the school would call her. And Julieta is getting worse under the influence of her father.

I didn’t realize Amanda didn’t like Manuela. She’ll like her less when she discovers her son is chasing her. She’s ok, but I think Leandro wants her because she’s a challenge. But he plays dirty.

I wonder if Lorena thinks Manuela is having an affair with her husband now. I figure she knows she did 15 years ago, and she was married. So it must be hard to swallow Manuela’s advice, or counseling, knowing she was someone who had an affair with a married man.

Liz

Vencer

Gracias, Jarifa.

In the flashback, Dulce is shy, avoiding a kiss from Genaro. He doesn't get pushy. So how did this sweet guy become a violent ogre?

Franco is socially inept. I suppose it will be interesting how he and Paloma find common ground, but right now he's annoying.

What a rotten father Leandro is. It's amazing his son with Lorena is a decent fellow.

Vencer #14

Good stuff.

Everardo is one of the worst misogynists I've seen in recent times. How long ago was the divorce? I hope he never meets Susanna (Enrique's daughter), who objects to her dad finding new love. When did her mother die? I'm sure it wasn't last week.

My feeling about Leandro is that he is looking to ruin Manuela's life and doesn't care how ruined and hurt their brat will get in the process. Her breaking the lab equipment will backfire bigger on her if Leandro takes her out of town at the time of the school trip.

Lorena needs a makeover, mostly cosmetics. Her facial features look too washed-out compared to her hair.

The brat needs a better hairstyle, like the one during her dance show. The puppy-ear thing is for toddlers. Or is it de riguer for bratty, immature teens?

Nancy's earrings were in some previous novela. Snake motifs in jewelry seem to be the thing for villanas and their henchwomen.

VENCER

The list of of unlikeable characters keeps growing for me nightly. I probably should list those characters I still like: Angeles, the two uncles, Pablo, Pablito, Lorena, Lorena's kids, Yaneli, Dulce, Enrique, Enrique's grandchild, Ranchera the dog, Manuela, Paloma.

Diana, I agree that the Dulce story by far is the most interesting one and I share your feeling that she very well could be dead. In teh real world, she most likely would be.

Liz, "I didn’t realize Amanda didn’t like Manuela." It was a surprise to me, too, although Amanda seemed to be put off when she said that she saw Dulce every day with the bracelet and Manuela asked her if she was sure. That was not the most polite question.

Niecie, could Genaro have anger/abuse issues and still not be the murderer? That is what I am hoping for.

Minas #64

Thanks, Diana.

Sebas' knowing about Victoria/Emilia makes perfect sense. He will be super-cautious and won't rat her out. However if Leo doesn't notice their interactions as he should the writers are falling down on the job.

The new "bar" is a great set-up for Addled to make an even bigger fool of himself.

"She claims she loves her daughter. I'd easier believe in the existence of aliens" is a great one, Waterlily!

Roberta really does enjoy the suffering of others. She favored Mauricio over Leo but never loved either of them.

VENCER

Urban, thanks for your fashion notes. I enjoyed them. : )

MINAS

Thanks for your always illuminating comments Urban. I'm glad you are still watching.

"Roberta really does enjoy the suffering of others. She favored Mauricio over Leo but never loved either of them" is sadly true. If she did have a heart, it disappeared long, long ago.

I will put something up for tonight.

Diana

Vencer

Jarifa, I am late to this party . So many cads and roues in this show. The title could be " Men Behaving Badly." How can women put up with an abusive ass like Ever rude . It is truly tragic that she put up with him for so many years .Hopefully she will discover what it is like to be with a nice guy who values her and treats her lovingly and with respect by the end of this show.

VENCER

Susan, “Ever Rude” is the best!!!

Minas

Thanks Diana, a great read. I only watched the first 20 minutes, but saw the almost accident. At first I was wondering why Danilo tried to run Emilia over. I think that’s a good plan. Get Leo doubting his mother, which he really hasn’t when it was so obvious to us she was a conniving witch. I didn’t realize the contract only left the mine to Roberta and not viceversa. Why would anyone sign that. I’m glad Emilia added the second part. Sebas is right to be worried about Emilia. We know she will survive but who won’t? If they could kill off Ignacio so quickly I’m afraid to get attached to anyone!

Liz

"MINAS" EPISODE#64:

Liz: Gut feeling is that Danillo's obsession over Crazy Whacky Blonde Sara will be the downfall of the 3 Amigos' revenge plans. I especially don't trust Sebastian to keeping his mouth shut!

The 3 Amigos would've been better off staying in Spain for like 20+ years.

MINAS

Liz, thank you so much!

Danilo was behind the wheel!!?? Oh my heavens, I didn't know he was the driver!!! I neither noticed him behind the wheel or heard it in the dialog if it was discussed beforehand. You are so observant!

While I wish there was an above board way to try and get Leo to realize Roberta is a heartless murderer, I fear Emilia really had no choice but to try to frame Roberta. Let's get real, Roberta IS going to try something so Emilia has to save herself.

I agree with you, I understand Sebas is worried. And rightfully so...What will happen tonight??

Diana

VENCER LA CULPA #15

FLASHBACK: Three years earlier we see the louse talking to his mistress on the phone while he is asking his wife Amanda if she has ironed his shirt. When she calls him on it and says their marriage is over, he grabs her by the face and says that she would only make herself look like a fool ruining their image as the perfect family.

PRESENT

The louse has his first chemo treatment and tells Amanda how much he depends on her because she is the only one he would ever trust to take care of him. Amanda asks about his mistress and daughter that came to visit him in the hospital before. He lets her know that it was Leandro's daughter and girlfriend not his.

Lorena goes to visit Amanda and recognizes Manuela as she is leaving. She tells Amanda who she is. Amanda confronts Manuela for having an illicit relationship with her son.

Paloma quits her job due to the good old boy atmosphere that has put her at a disadvantage. Her parents are nervous when they find out.(I NEVER trusted them) because, unknown to Paloma, she has been supporting them. Her father lied about getting a pension. Then her parents used up their retirement savings and then mortgaged their house to meet their expenses. Paloma cannot understand what those expenses could have been. They have not made a payment on the house in one year and the bank is ready to foreclose on it unless they can pay 20% of the debt. Paloma is shocked and goes to get her job back only to discover that she has been replaced by Franco.

Yaneli takes the red bracelet and hides it in her hand as her brother asks what she is doing rummaging through his room. She jokes about looking for dirty clothes. He finds out about her wanting to have a part time job to help with expenses and her tuition. He doesn't want her to work since he promised their parents he would take care of her. He is willing to sell his motorcycyle or even go to the local loan shark. Yaneli doesn't want him doing any of that.

Yaneli hides the red bracelet in plain site under the cash register at work. Amanda finds it when Manuela and Paloma come by. Manuela will take it to the prosecutor's office.

Manuela tells Pablo not to misinterpret their relationship. They are just friends. She tells her friend how much she is attracted to him and thinks he is attracted other.

The brat continues being the brat under her father's spell.

Manuela takes Pablo to another prosecutor's office so he can help search for Damián. The detective returns Pablo's down payment and tells him the answer to his son's disappearance is right in front of his nose. In the mean time, Pablo goes to LaCaldera and asks some teenagers if they ever saw his son. The group says they saw him for a while way back when and then he just disappeared. One of the kids tells Pablo to talk to doña Efi (she has been in all of /most of the Vencer series) She knows everything about everybody. The episode ends with the prosecutor calling Pablo and telling him that they have found a body that could be his son.

MINAS #65 Part 1

The frantic search for Nico is well underway.

Emilia tells Sebas they need to talk with Ramiro’s son Rigo. He might know where Nico is.

Sara chooses to confront Leo about the status of their marriage. At work. She rushes into his office and unceremoniously announces she wants a divorce! Leo sighs.

Marijo and Joaquina fret, Marijo is going to check Gael’s to see if Nico is there. “Mi nino, where are you” Joaquina blurts out, clearly distressed.

Sara gets in Leo’s face, spewing threats and accusations, repeating I want a divorce. Leo finally gets up and stops Sara, the kids uppermost in his mind. She offers him a chance to reconcile but just then, his phone rings. Sara is livid and tells him not to answer. He is afraid something is wrong and his fears are well founded. Joaquina tells him Nico is missing. Sara, who doesn’t care a whit for or about Nico, furiously tells Leo to go.

Gael is with Tigre and Zaira, who gives her cranky hubby a kiss. Marijo bursts in, and in distress says, “Nico isn’t here?” After she tells them he is missing. Zaira envelops her in a hug.

Victoria and Sebas are at Ramiro’s house where his wife is stern faced and unsympathetic. Just then, Gigi shows up.

Roberta is distraught fretting to Fidel about Mauricio. Or rather Nico she says, Fidel eyeing her suspiciously. He is the only thing I have of my son. Fidel ridiculously urges her to be calm.

Gael asks Luis, one of Nico’s classmates if he knows where Nico is, but he claims he doesn’t know anything.

Gigi intercedes on behalf of Victoria. Ramiro’s wife finally laments and brings her two sons out. One is upset and is crying, obviously scared. Victoria tries to reassure the frightened boy. Sebas looks angry but controls himself. They keep saying something about the caverna del diablo. They thank him and take off Seb’s arm around Victoria’s shoulder.

Tigre goes off with Zaira behind him.

Ezequiel is getting reamed out by Roberta.

Victoria and Sebas are in the woods searching. We see Nico with his hands tied looking at a nasty spider.

Romina comes over to Sara all excited wanting to show her something. Sara says she is busy, squelching her daughter’s happiness, telling Inez to take her away. Mother of the year she is not.

There is a knock on the door and it’s Danilo! He comes in, kissing and hugging Sara as she tries to push him away. Joaquina comes around the corner saying “Senora Sara”. Uh oh, caught in the act.

Leo and Sebas butt heads as they try to organize the search but thankfully, Marijo and Gael intervene.

“What do you want” Sara asks. I heard the door Joaquina answers. Sara tries to cover but Danilo walks around looking anything but repentant. He stands behind Joaquina and halfheartedly apologizes. Adios he mutters. Joaquina, who wasn’t born yesterday, knows darn well what’s going on. Permissio.

Diana

MINAS #65 Part 2 of 2

Nico is still wandering, very distraught, dropping his phone. Victoria sees him in the distance and calls out! She then loses her footing, falling down a deep ravine, appearing unconscious. Victoria rouses herself bleeding and hurt, still calling out for her son. She manages to get up and prays to the Virgin as she walks, obviously hurt.

Nico appears to be on the edge of a cliff, lamenting his lost phone. He harkens back to a scene years ago talking with his mother giving him advice as to what to do if he ever gets lost in the woods. Unfortunately, Nico loses his footing but we don’t see how far he falls.

Roberta and Fidel show up. Victoria flashes back to talking with Nico and dispatches her small search force.

A worried Joaquina is confronted by Sara, only concerned with what Joaquina thinks she saw. They both fold their arms.

Sebas and Ezequiel go back and forth, Miriam and his son mentioned, but then Sebas has had enough and resumes his search.

Ezequiel and the search party come up empty handed much to Roberta’s fury. Brandishing a huge machete, she puts it at Ezequiel’s throat and stalks off, everyone staring after her, mouths agape.

Sara and Joaquina continue their discussion, Sara saying Leo is her husband. If anyone can kindly fill in any important dialog here, please do so. I thought Joaquina said something about the number of children Leo has or did I misunderstand?

Ezequiel has to tell Zaira, Tigre, Marijo and Gael that they’ve had no luck. Zaira laments that Nico is alone in the woods.

Danilo and Aleida are worried they can’t reach Victoria. Danilo is distracted and Aleida calls him on it. Danilo denies it, don’t lie to me she rebukes him, what is it? Esta bien. Sara and I are in a relationship. He sits her down and she asks he tell her everything. And he fills in some of the blanks. She was married and admits it is complicated. Aleida tells him Sara is not a good person. He cares about Emilia and feels like a traitor. He followed his heart, not his head. “Oh Danilo” she laments.

Tigre calls out to his grandson as Zaira tries to comfort him. Leo comes up, caring but ineffective as usual.

Jenny comes home and Sara tells her she is going to divorce Leo. Are you insane Jenny counters? Jenny tells her not to do it.

Leo and Gael confront Ezequiel as to why there has been no progress. Oh and now there are now 3 people missing, including La Patrona.

Leo and Gael grab rope and stalk off.

We see Nico has fallen halfway down a cliff and is unconscious. Roberta is thrashing through the grass, using her machete to clear a path. She calls out, first for Mauricio, and then Nico. She trips and falls hurting her leg. We see a huge black and red snake crawling toward her. The vibora bites the vibora. At that moment, Victoria appears and comes to Roberta’s aid...

Another sensational recap Jarifa!

You instinctively and immediately knew Paloma’s parents were using her and were you ever right! Just as Paloma is coming into her own, quitting her job, determined to work in a fair and equitable environment and be treated the way she deserves, her world implodes. How could they be so treacherous??

The first scene tonight with the “louse” (perfect descriptive) literally turned my stomach. The unmitigated gaul, the cruelty are unfathomable. I don’t know how Amand could live with such a brutal, abusive wretch for decades and still have escaped with her kind, loving heart still intact. That said, I hope she doesn’t wait until he dies to leave him. By the way, his death cannot come too quickly for me.

Yaneli was smart to “hide” the bracelet “in plain sight” as you noted…

Poor Pablo. I hope it isn’t Pablito’s body that was found…

I can’t wait to see dona Efi again!

Diana

VENCER

Thanks, Diana. As for Paloma, her dishonest conniving parents make me wonder why Walter went running. What did her parent do/tell him to keep their income producer at home? Her parents always seemed to look uncomfortable and guilty about something to me.

As for Amanda, she's a lovely person but, sorry, I still think she is stupid for taking care of the louse who emotionally and physically abused her all those years. She needs to surround herself with a Raid shield. ; ) You are much kinder than I.

As for me, doña Efigenia cannot arrive soon enough to brighten up this dour tale. She always makes me smile.

Busy days this week. Holiday fun on the agenda. ; )

Minas
Thanks so much, Diana! Someone decided to make waterlily very angry by removing this particular episode from every website that she checked! They uploaded the episode on the app I use, but it's the wrong one... I bet they will have fixed it when I will no longer want to watch it. So I now know what went on because you wrote a recap. It's funny that this happens shortly after I told someone it's better to watch new telenovelas when they air in Mexico because later they might remove the episodes. Someone is spying on me, surely.
So is Roberta going mad? I know she won't die, but when I read about the snake attacking her, I was saying ,'hurry up, dear snake, beforesomeone comes!.
I'n sad to have missed on Danilo's confession. I bet he wasn't listening to Aleida when she said Sara is a bad person. I'm curious why Sara decided she now wants a divorce. Is this part of that whole 'I can live without you' plan Addled suggested? Because I can't imagine her getting back with Danilo when she's hiding the truth from him. But her showing no concern for Nicowould make any reasonable person question things. I won't say it will make Leo do this because...we know he is still in that weird dispondant phase. But I'm always surprised when a woman like Sara doesn't realise what behaviour can win her some points. It's like she wants Leo, but not enough to put genuine effort when it's required. She is damn good at talking about how much she is trying, though.

Minas

Diana, thank you for every dramatic detail as these people Tumble toward the finale . uff

I don't think Dan was using his head or his heart in his attraction ( why? ) to angry bird Sara . .... some other part explains this call of the wild .

Leo has one setting = sad, brooding , and useless . Sorry , the hero needs to be pragmatic, proactive, and positive . Leo has never been any of these things....well, Perhaps briefly at the start of this tale. ...remember the guy removing his expensive shirt and donning just the safety vest ?...the kisses in the mine ???...the words about people almost dying together being joined for eternity?...Where's that guy ? Susan

VENCER

"As for Paloma, her dishonest conniving parents make me wonder why Walter went running. What did her parent do/tell him to keep their income producer at home? Her parents always seemed to look uncomfortable and guilty about something to me".

OMG Jarifa, that never occurred to me! If that's true, that would be despicable and Paloma would need to cut them off. Of course she won't but...It's frustrating enough that Amanda didn't arm herself with a "Raid shield" (love that) years ago and leave Everardo.

Hope you have much holiday fun this week!

Diana

MINAS

Waterlily, I'm sorry you weren't able to view the episode. I hope what I put up is what happened but I can never make such promises. :)

I wish I could have interpreted more of several conversations especially between Joaquina and Sara. I'm really starting to be concerned that Danilo, (now a loose cannon), is going to be an even worse liability as time goes on.

I'm also wondering how Danilo will find out Romina is his daughter. Leo will be heartbroken and for that, I can't fault him.

I'm hoping no one has any snake venom antidote. Watching Roberta go mad would be fitting justice.

I hope you are able to watch tonight; your wise perspective is always most welcome!

"I don't think Dan was using his head or his heart in his attraction ( why? ) to angry bird Sara . .... some other part explains this call of the wild". HA!! Too funny and very true Susan.

"Leo has one setting" is sadly true. As you smartly pointed out, he was so handsome when this began, affectionate, strong and caring. Now he's downcast and frankly, ineffective.

We can only hope he reverts to the somewhat promising character we saw initially. If only Emilia loved Sebas. But she doesn't...

I will put something up tonight.

"MINAS":

Diana: Looking forward to seeing your recap of last night's episode.

Make it juicy!

Vencer

Jarifa, thank you for another great retelling of all the drama . I could see it all in my mind's eye.

I had a very sweet friend that I taught with who took care of her rather miserable husband after their divorce when he had a heart attack. Amazing how kind and forgiving she was .

The actress who plays Efi will also be with Claudia Martin ( Paloma) in " El Amor no Tiene Receta." This actress has been in so many telenovelas. Susan

Vencer #15

Gracias, Jarifa. As we move right along to more despair...

Are prosecutors this blase about looking for missing people? Damian may be close to 18 but that should not be an excuse. I hope Carmina pays for her attempt at preventing Pablo from finding him.

Amanda's knee-jerk reaction to Manuela is now more understandable. She has only been divorced for three years. She will either not listen to anything Manuela has to say about Leandro or will not like what she has to say about him if she does listen. When the confrontation takes place between Manuela and Lorena I hope it doesn't become a catfight. Manuela should see a lawyer about getting back child support and a restraining order.

Everardo continues to get more despicable but he won't be biting the dust for a while yet.

Paloma is where nobody should be. Her parents should dig their own way out of their sinkhole of debts. She should not have to go back to a toxic work environment to help them. Interesting theory about the parents possibly having sabotaged the wedding to keep her paycheck. What did they blow the mortgage money on?

Genaro should not deal with a loan shark; banks are bad enough.

Vencer

Gracias, Jarifa. You sure called it on Paloma's parents. Shame on the them. Both of them are perfectly capable of going to work.

And Everardo is perfectly capable of hiring someone to take care of him. ITA with all that Amanda is just playing the fool right now for no good reason.

Yay, a little forward movement on Dulce with the bracelet. This Vencer moves slowly compared to the previous one.

Vencer

I wonder if Paloma's parents are gamblers ? Susan

VENCER

This is the fourth "Vencer" I have seen. I loved "Vencer el desamorr" with Barb the toxic mother on steroids and the serial rapist Lino. I would rewatch that one any time. The others have been good but not as good as that one. I do to how I feel about this one yet but as Niecie said "This Vencer moves slowly compared to the previous one." You can say that again.

Susan, I could see the parents being gamblers. The money has to be going/has gone somewhere and since we do not see any expensive goods around the house or any talk about vacation or expensive restaurants, it must be going somewhere where disposal income can be disposed of.

Urban, the parents also tried to talk Paloma from going to study in Spain because they were planning on her $$$ helping to rehab the bathroom. Give me a break!!!

Vencer
Thanks, Jarifa , once again you hit the ball out of the park. You think of things that never would occur to me. I liked Paloma’s parents and I did read your opinion of them. But I just thought they were a really close family. But you were right about them, and I do wonder if you’re right about Walter. I think you are because he was going to take her to the US. They also might have ended the previous relationship, which left her at the alter. She may not be able to get her job back. She may have to take a lower paying one in the same company. I have wondered why she lives with her parents and rents out an apartment she has. Guess that was the parents. I’m disappointed because I thought they were so loving!

I hope Amanda will give Manuela a chance to explain everything. And Lorena also. They can all join forces. I don’t understand Amanda helping her ex. It would be different if he were at least kind to her.

I don’t know the point of Yaneli hiding the bracelet in plain view in the shop. Was it just to get it out of her house?

Also, I didn’t realize the detective returned his money. But I did realize the wife and her cousin(?) seemed to know Pablo was on to the detective. I don’t think the body is Pablo’s son. I think he’s alive. Not so sure about Dulce, but I hope so. And I don’t think Genaro had anything to do with her disappearance. I just think it’s the obvious suspect that usually turns out to be innocent!

Minas #65

Great work, Diana.

Addled surely is in no position to advise anyone about marriage. He also overestimates Sara's appeal. In fact, I often doubt he knows her well at all. What she can try is the custody issue over the children, but Jacinta now knows she is a cheater. Jacinta defends Leo like a lioness defending her cub.

Another hair cliche: closed circle braid on mature female servants.

It would be glorious if the snakebite took longer than an ambulance and Roberta died as Emilia revealed her identity to her. However we're not close enough to the finale for that.

MINAS

Thank you so much Urban!

I think you nailed it in that Addled doesn't know Sara. Or Jenny.

Agree Sara will likely threaten to file for full custody which would be so sad as she doesn't appear to love either child. Leo would likely do anything for that not to happen but if pushed too far, will fight tooth and nail. Plus he has Roberta on his side who would never allow Sara to get full or likely even partial custory.

Great point about the "circle braid".

I wish Roberta would die and do so now. I've said it and will have no problem sleeping having done so :)

Diana

VENCER

Liz, I agree that Genaro is being set up to look like the guilty party. Pablo’s wife is Carmina and her SISTER is Nancy. Believe it or not, I have a chart so I can remember all the names and who is related to who and how. LOL

VENCER LA CULPA #16

Crawling along . . . nothing much happened but that was okay by me.

The brat is still being a brat.

Paloma doesn't get her job back. She doesn't have enough money to pay the mortgage. She finds out that her parents are spending their time spending her money at a casino after finding container after container filled with gambling receipts. She asks her parents about them but they are making us wait until the next episode to get an answer. Susan saw that plot twist coming.

The prosecutor thinks that the dead boy is Damián because he was found with Damián's identification. He also had a red bracelet just like the one that Genaro gave Dulce. Pedro views the corpse and it is not Damián. The search for Damián continues.

Pedro has appointments with a few doctors to get a second/third/fourth opinion on Pablito's illness coming up.

Carmina is upset that "a Manuela" has been helping out Pablo and taking her rightful place in supporting her hubby. Pablo tells Carmina that Manuela is only a friend. Carmina still feels threatened.

Manuela again tries to make it clear to Pablo that she is only interested in him as a friend and he agrees.

Yaneli feels so bad that she has put her brother in the position that she has by losing her scholarship. He tells her he will take care of it. Evidently, he hasn't when Yaneli is denied entrance at the school due to non-payment of tuition.

Amanda confronts Manuela about her relationship with Leandro AKA Louse Jr. and stands up for Lorena. Manuela says she doesn't know all the facts and they agree to talk later. Leandro AKA Louse Jr. is not happy that his father was responsible for his wife finding out about Manuela. Lorena is not happy finding out that her father-in-law knows about Manuela. Lorena talks with Amanda who tells her she knows that Leandro would be incapable of cheating on her. Lorena isn't buying. Amanda talks to Louse Jr. and he tells her that years ago he had a romance with Manuela just around the time he was getting married to Lorena. Manuela disappeared. He never knew she was pregnant until recently. He found out he has a daughter and is completely taken with her. He wants to to support her and give her his name. Louse Jr. says that his marriage with Lorena hasn't been the best either. Amanda can understand all that but she still feels sorry for Lorena. Louse Jr. talks with her until he is sure that his mommy is on HIS side. Louse Jr. calls Lorena. She tells him he always seems to have time for Manuela. He asks that she not tell the kids about her or their half-sister. They need to talk. She agrees and would never set his kids against him. That being said, later in the episode, she goes to visit her sister with the kids and doesn't come back like she was going to. Louse Jr. is troubled by that but is still trying to put the moves on Manuela. She tells him she is only interested in having a cordial relationship with him for the good of Julieta. He says he is giving Julieta his name. Manuela says not so fast, That is something they have to discuss and now is not the time.

Manuela recognizes Lorena from her social media.

Enrique wants Amanda to be his novia. We never see if she says yes, no or maybe. The name of the dog is Arrachera and not Ranchera.

MINAS #66 Part 1

We open with an aerial view of Nico lying motionless where he fell.

Roberta is searching for Nico, her machete swinging as she makes her way, alternately calling out “Mauricio”, then “Nicolas”. We see a red and black snake slithering toward her. Roberta falls in agony, the vibora has bitten her! (like seeks like after all ☹)

Victoria comes upon Roberta and then wisely starts a fire. “Mi Nieto” Roberta cries starting in again, calling for “Nicolas” then “Mauricio”, then finally, “Hijo”. Victoria limps off.

The miners and search party are combing the area.
Back at the hardly improved bar (formerly restaurant), Flor waits on a table talking in low tones, being watched by Orlando. He smiles, seemingly none the wiser. He talks about wanting to be a father, in answer, Flor pinches his cheek. The day darkens with the arrival of Addled and Fidel. Flor scurries off and Orlando follows her to ensure she is all right.

Jenny brings sour Sara a hot cup of coffee and reminds her of her cheating ways, asking her about Danilo. She says how she feels about Danilo is different. She tells Jenny Joaquina knows. Her plan is to stay married to Leo as Jenny looks unsure.

Darkness has descended and Roberta is feverish; she passes out just as Gael and Leo arrive. Leo hoists her up over his shoulder and Gael sends out a flare. We see Roberta, now lying down on the seat of one of the SUVs. Ezequiel wants to call an ambulance. Marijo shows up at the scene, rather flummoxed.

Nico is still passed out where he fell.

Zaira and Tigre are also there. Leo begs Zaira to help his mother.

Flor is obviously very nervous when Fidel is around; Orlando urges her to be calm.

Orlando gets a call from his hermano Leo who fills him in on what’s transpired. He explains to Fidel he has to leave, which Fidel doesn’t take kindly to.

Emilia finds Nico who is still unresponsive, bleeding from a head wound. “Nico”, “Nicolas” she sobs.

Zaira (rightly) blames Roberta for Emilia’s death and is not inclined to help her.

Leo goes to check on his mother and Gigi shows up. Just then, Zaira walks up and goes to the car, bandaging Roberta’s leg. They lead the group in prayer as the car speeds off.

Nico wakes up but is out of it. A frantic Emilia calls his name incessantly trying to keep him awake. Sebas is screaming for Nico, flashlight in hand. You are very brave Emilia tells her son as it appears his strength is ebbing quickly. She holds him close.

Jenny is playing with Romina who has named her doll “Jennifer”. The child is enjoying herself and smiles sweetly. Seemingly not wanting her child to be happy for even a moment, Sara has Ines take her away. Sara and Jenny’s heart-to-heart is interrupted by a phone call from Gigi. Roberta is in bad shape and in the hospital.

The group is huddled around makeshift fires as Gigi tells off Ezequiel and shines a flashlight in his eyes as chuckles from the crowd ensue.

Diana

MINAS #66 Part 2 of 2

In her weakened state, Emilia cannot lift Nico.

Gigi is leading a small search party with a few of the women. Nico is lying with his head on Emilia’s lap. “Here, here”, Victoria yells. All of a sudden Sebas scurries down the hill, runs over and covers Nico with his jacket. Gigi helps Emilia along.

Orlando arrives on the scene., Ezequiel, scowling and very unhappy to see him, starts to puff out his chest but Orlando pushes him aside without effort. All of a sudden Victoria arrives with her small contingent of helpers as does Sebastian, carrying Nico! Orlando tells them to bring Nico to his car, again swatting Ezequiel away like a fly (love it). Victoria hands Gael something I couldn’t make out.

Leo is lamenting to an incoherent Roberta, passed out in her hospital bed. Sara comes in and puts her arm around his shoulder staring expressionlessly.

The nurse tells Fidel Roberts’s condition is grave and the doctor reinforces it. Fidel looks upset (not that I give a damn)

Roberta starts in again, asking for Nico. She gives credit to Victoria for saving her. “Victoria” Sara sullenly repeats, obviously annoyed.

Emilia, Sebas and Zaira show up at the hospital.

Joaquina prays for Roberta in the hospital chapel as Victoria arrives. Their scenes together seemed to consist of Victoria asking some penetrating questions about Roberta. Joaquina admits she has known Roberta for many years but seems suspicious as to why Victoria seems so invested.

Gael and Marijo also meet up at the hospital. She tells him he is a good person.

Nico is hooked up to oxygen as Zaira talks to the doctor. “Mamita” Nico calls out as Zaira replaces the mask on him tenderly, comforting him.

Sebas calls Aleida and fills her in.

When Addled and Fidel show up, Sebas asks why they are there. Fidel angrily retorts that Nico is Roberta’s grandson. Addled tries to goad Sebas into a fight but the doctor shows up in the nick of time and Sebas leaves with him.

Sebas shows up at the chapel to collect Victoria who asks how Nico is. Joaquina’s wheels seem to be turning.

Looks like Roberta will live. Rats!

Sebastian commiserates with Emilia, and lauds her efforts, knowing what it must have taken for her to help Roberta. Emilia seems to shake it off as she coolly states Roberta needs to live so justice can prevail.

Leo dismisses Sara as Addled walks up. My relationship with Leo is my problem she tells him. She reminds him of all the problems he has, especially with her mother.

Zaira implores Nico to get well as Victoria and Sebas watch from the doorway. Zaira caresses his head lamenting that Nico misses his mother and is sad. She kisses his forehead and leaves. Emilia sits in the seat and strokes her son’s forehead telling him he is not alone, the love and concern for her son etched on every line of her face.

VENCER

Jarifa, thank you for your exceptional recap.

Despite the serious nature of most of this, you never fail to make me smile. Tonight, it was "Leandro AKA Louse Jr." which was wry and wonderful.

Thank heavens Damian is still alive (as far as we know!). I like Pablo's quiet intensity, continuing to search for one son while seeking a cure for the other. Proactive and bright. With a disarming, lovely smile.

Are the red bracelets merely a coincidence? My thought is that they are not and that they may signify some sort of club/gang. If so, why would Genaro give Dulce such a bracelet? I do not like or trust Genaro who is abusive and dangerous.

"Louse Jr. talks with her until he is sure that his mommy is on HIS side" was exactly right and had me cringing. Yet Amanda still goes after Manuela full force without trying to get her side of the story.

"Manuela recognizes Lorena from her social media". I'm confused as to why it took so long for this to dawn on her. She saw Lorena in the pictures Amanda showed the women of Leandro and his family so I can't figure out why it took her so long to realize who she is. I must have missed something.

Poor Paloma. Seemingly insurmountable debt due to her lousy parents and now, no job!

I thought Leandro looked menacing when Manuela did not want a personal relationship with him. Also, does the man ever work?? Have we ever seen him in a meeting or doing anything remotely related to work??

Diana

"MINAS" EPISODE#66:

Diana: Good job on the recap of last night's episode. Crazy Whacky Blonde Sara is the devil incarnate with no signs of csring about anything. Wake me up when the Crazy Whacky Blonde gets Karma.

Psycho Roberta still lives OMG: waiting for her to be exposed later in this Telenovela including her cronies such as Fidel, etc.,

Minas
I really wanted to throw my phone against a wall while watching this. Thanks for recaping it, Diana.
Joaquina said she's willing to give up her own life in exchange of Roberta's. It's all of course so that R could make amends. I understand she is grateful, but it's frustrating to listen to this because R isn't interested in making amends. So this 'deal' isn't useful to anyone.
If I were Leo, I don't know if I'd have had the guts to go to Zaira and ask her to save Roberta. He never had this sort of courage when it came to E. It feels almost rude on his part. It's basically 'I know you think she doesn't deserve to live but help her.' Why? So R could cause the Sanchez even more misery? I really have an issue with scenes like this. It was easier to watch E just lighting a fire and leaving becauseit didn't feel she went out of her way for R. Though even a tiny effort is more than she deserves.
I cannot listen to Sara. She said she has to go tothe hospital because Roberta is her mother-in-law and she 'has to support Leo.' She could at least stop pretending she cares about him. She told him he has a daughter at hom who 'is his' because of course he should leave Nico. How is it that Sara is both a liar and so stupid? She is more and more miserable in every episode but she won't give up Leo. She even told Jen she knows Danilo would risk for her. When she told Jen Joaquina knows about Dan and her, she scornfully said she won't say anything out of love for him and the kids, which is a pity, given how Sara sounded when she told this to Jen.
She also warned her dear papa that if he doesn't do something, his wife will win the election. I don't know what she expects from her so-called future political carreer but she sure is willing to throw anyone under the bus for it.
Didn't someone gave Flor money? Orwas she the one who passed something? Because she said 'if anyone asks, you gave me tips.'
It appeared Ezequel wanted to postpone Nico's search till morning. Fidel needs better allies.
I know it's for plot reasons, but Zaira leaving to attend to her husband and leaving Nico with a woman she barely knows felt somehow inappropriate on her part. Even if the woman did find the child. I mean, Couldn't Gael take Tigre home? And why would staying at the hospital mean he has to 'fall ill'? This really bugged me.
Sebas was among those who found E whereas Leo was with his mum. This feels like a sign. But after Invencible, I don't trust the writers. Leo apologised to his mum for causing his father's death and God knows what else. I'd feel sorry for him, but he's been so uselessthat I can't. For his mum he is willing to ask her enemies for help, apologise, save the mine...Maybe he should marry her then. Sara is the next best choice in this case because she is just as selfish, uncaring and miserable as R. Leo deserves a chance to spend the rest of his life with her. After all, she is his type apparently.

Minas

Dear Diana, thank you so much for bringing us all the drama . yikes. ...everyone milling around the woods yelling .

Then ...back to that hospital ....we should have made it a drinking game . Let's count up who has been in the hospital and how many times.

Were Dan and Al part of the search party ?

Well, The writers have been working overtime to redeem flighty , silly Gigi and craft her into a leader among women . Girl power Gigi out to prove that girls don't just want to gave fun.

Meanwhile , perpetually cranky , crabby Sara continues to be cranky and crabby .

Jennifer....still Jennifer . uff

Rats, indeed, Roberta lives to darken another day and rain on another parade . I wonder if the other vibora , the one that bit her died ?

Once again, strong, steadfast Seb appears to save the day . This guy , right???? ...so obvious a choice, so easy to love and respect .I hope that we see this actor as a galan soon ...but he must be a smart, wise, loyal galan, not the variety of galan that telenovelas have been presenting to lately.

Orlando, ah...guaypo, clueless Orlando . ...and his good pal Flor, the flower ..and his great dad Fidel, the faithful Susan

MINAS

Thanks Steve!

Waterlily, thank you for all your wise observations.

Joaquina wanting to "give up her life" for reprehensible Roberta is ridiculous. You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

I don't find anything about Sara the least bit likeable. I agree she is getting worse. She IS a liar, she knows Romina is Danilo's yet she continues to perpetuate that lie.

"Leo apologised to his mum for causing his father's death and God knows what else. I'd feel sorry for him, but he's been so useless that I can't". Amen to that!!

I can't help but feel invested in Sebas' love for Emilia. You can't fault her, she has been honest with him all along. Still there is that tiny flame of hope. But like you and Susan, I know it's pointless to have hope. Invencible certainly burned us; lesson learned.

Diana

MINAS

"I wonder if the other vibora , the one that bit her died?" HA Susan, excellent question. I can say it did slither off after it attacked, although who knows what happened after. I think the vibora who crawled on the ground got the worst of the it as Roberta is likely more poisonous as whatever venom was injected.

Susan, Danilo and Aleida weren't part of the search party.

Sara is a lost cause but I'm still holding out hope for Jenny...

Perhaps it's best Carlos Gatica continues to play second tier galans. As you've noted, lead galans lately lose their luster and appeal early on. We need the presence of a stalwart character who exempliefies true, steadfast and unshakeable love and loyalty.

Vencer #16

Gracias, Jarifa.

Amanda was true to form with her head in the sand like an ostrich. Leandro also, telling her the truth up to his not having known that Manuela was pregnant, then lying about the rest. I hate the idea that he is also a lawyer; his client list could be the stuff of nightmares.

His sister is just as bad.

Paloma is facing the worst-case scenario and my gut says that both her parents are addicted. I hope she can get another job ASAP, but she should not be guilted into paying off her parents' debts. That is so shameful. As for Obregon, I will bet he's never had a girlfriend his entire life because of his attitude toward women.

Franco might be good with number$ but his social awkwardness will make his work there nearly impossible. After three decades in the advertising industry I can say that social ease and skill are essential to this work. He may also have tunnel vision about media planning and not understand that you need more than one media type to get the job done.

Vencer

Thanks Jarifa. Another enjoyable read. Love the Louse Jr designation. I have a list of the names in a notebook, but if they show up late to the show, or I’m in a different room, they don’t get written down or used!

I can’t believe Amanda fell for Leandro’s fairy tale. I’m disappointed in her. Plus, she was going to be on Lorena’s side. Now she’s not going to believe her daughter-in-law either. She’s too gullible, which is probably why she’s wasting her time caring for Everado.

I’m so glad it wasn’t Pablo’s son. They handled that well, with Pablo still sad for the young man that died. The bracelets are a puzzle. And we don’t know if it was Damian’s or the deceased boy.

Leandro has already told Julieta he’s giving her his name. She’ll have a fit if mom doesn’t agree to it. Heck, she wants her mom to marry a man she doesn’t love so Julieta will be happy. Does she know she has half brothers?

Manuela needs to get a restraining order against Leandro. He won’t leave her alone. And he’s pushy.

Liz

Minas 65

Thanks Diana, that was excellent. I fear I will usually be a day behind. I should just read ahead but I enjoy reading about it after I’ve watched.

Sara will want custody of her daughter but I doubt she is even officially Nico’s stepmom. Although if she goes through with the divorce she might want Nico just to make Leo miserable.

I’m wondering why Emilia is trying to help Roberta. My thought is she wants a real trial and a jail sentence for her.

Danilo was crazy to go to the house. He says he loves Sara but would you risk someone finding out, which would then make getting custody more difficult. I think he was on board when the trio hatched the plan but he has no one to get revenge on so he has the least to lose. I wish we knew more about him. We still don’t know why he was in the mental hospital, and who the couple were who brought him there.

Liz

MINAS

Thanks for your kind words Liz, I really appreciate it!

Your comments are always spot on so please, continue to post whenever you can.

"I think he was on board when the trio hatched the plan but he has no one to get revenge on so he has the least to lose" was an excellent observation and gave me pause. You are so right! Like you, I feel his "puzzle" has several important pieces missing and you noted two of them.

I agree that Emilia wants justice. She wants Roberta tried here on earth and sentenced for her crimes. I've no doubt she will not find any peace in her afterlife, nor should she.

I'm not sure if Weirdo is going to be able to recap tonight (?)

I will have something ready to post if she can't.

I found out that the younger Leandro is indeed being played by Lambda Garcia.

Lambda is 36, Gabe Soto is 48...Just an interesting FYI.

VENCER

Diana, I am feeling bad for Paloma, too. Their little "team family" cheer is rather grotesque at this point. She needs to be freed! Thanks for the info on teh age difference of the actors playing Leandro.

Urban, "Franco might be good with number$ but his social awkwardness will make his work there nearly impossible. After three decades in the advertising industry I can say that social ease and skill are essential to this work." Nobody could put it better than you who knows the ins and outs of the business.

Liz, "Manuela needs to get a restraining order against Leandro. He won’t leave her alone. And he’s pushy." That would be perfect and practical. It would be nice to see Manuela go on the offense rather than just reacting to whatever Leandro and the brat dish out.

Vencer

Jarifa, thank you for a great recap of everything that happened .

I thought it was Lambda. I watched him on " Mira Quien Baila," and he is quite a good dancer.
