Nuria sorta tells Santiago they can’t be together because Andres is miserable and stressed. And he doesn’t want them together.

The worst fighter in Mexico City takes a roundhouse punch at Diego, who ducks. He hits Amelia. He grovels, but she tells him that she would not be with him even if she were born all over again. “You’re the worst thing that every happened to me!”

Euge tells Carmen she needs to leave to be alone and find herself. Carmen looks very sad, but seems to have accepted it.

Martha says she’s going to talk to Liana about “the letter”.

Violeta comes to the pension with Chema. She’s so happy and seems a changed person. She’s sad that Euge is leaving. There’s definitely some musical beds going on in this pension.

Liana brings Fausto to her house. He’s impressed with the luxury. They’re scarcely inside the door when she starts taking off her clothes. She looks him in the eye and tells him his name is Santiago, and she’s Nuria.

Alberto and Santi come to tell Diego that Celia and Braulio were at the hotel that day. But the cameras don’t show them leaving together.

Mia sees the news of Fausto’s escape online and starts atando cabos (literally tie strings together or putting two and two together). Martha shows up looking for Liana and finds out she’s not at work. Fabian calls Martha saying he's in town and needs to tell her some things in person.

Braulio, the bad penny, shows up at the foundation to offer to give Amelia the divorce she wants. In exchange he wants the albacea (to be trustee, executor) of Andres’ shares and Amelia’s as well.

Mia tells Martha Liana is not doing well. She says that Braulio has been manipulating her about having caused the death of her parents.

Chelo is terrified hearing about Fausto being on the loose. Chalo says he’ll protect her. Maybe he’ll cut off some more of his sleeves. I think the upshot might have been that Chelo and the baby would leave until he’s recaptured.

Fausto and Liana have been at it more than three times. She tells him sex is therapy for her, a way to have control. But then Fausto’s face morphs into Tigre’s. She says that name and Fausto agrees that he is “a tiger” in bed.

Fabian comes to see Martha. Mariano is introduced, and then Martha and Fabian go into her office.

Nuria tells Ros that she is going to return Andres to Amelia, partly because of Fausto. But mostly she’s tried and tried to make him happy. She says that Amelia makes him happy.

Amelia tells Braulio that all the happy horse pucky about family clearly doesn’t mean as much to him as getting the power over the company back. So..the answer is no. She hits him where it usually hurts, telling him that his father would be deeply ashamed of him if he knew this.

Fabian tells Martha that he and his mother fled Mexico because they were afraid of her son. He’s sure Braulio would want to finish the job from six years ago, the one Santiago went to prison for. Braulio wanted him dead, and Alicia just happened to be in the car. Martha, as usual, keeps babbling that it can’t be true. She starts beating herself up. She never went to see Santi in prison, thought he’d done it because of jealousy. But she now says Santi loved Alicia and would never have hurt her.

Fabian explains the reason behind all this. Braulio was stealing proprietary information from Fabian’s company. GZ was moving forward while his company lost customers, investors, and even employees. We see a flashback of Fabian confronting Braulio. Some employee of Fabian’s, Aristedes, confessed to accepting Braulio’s money for Fabian’s plans and strategies. Fabian produces a folder with correspondence proving this. He tells Braulio he’s going to the police about the theft of intellectual property. Plus he’s going to tell Roberto Zepeda about it since he’s sure Roberto would never have done such a thing.

Chenta is sad about Tigre. Mia starts to tell Santi about Fausto, but chickens out.

Martha weeps and says that Braulio couldn’t have done such a thing. Then she asks Fabian to hold off on going to the cops until she has a chance to tell Santiago about it.

Liana tells Fausto she wants Nuria to suffer, to cry tears of blood. Fausto is all in. He’s sure Nuria convinced Chelo to file for divorce. Liana says that no one could even guess what she has planned for Nuria.

Euge says goodbye to the whole crew at the pension and leaves.

Nuria tells Santi about giving Amelia the child, saying she’ll ask Amelia to see him sometimes. Braulio overhears.

Rai tells Chema he has cancer throughout his body and is given 6 months to live. Chema seems to advise him to get treatment. Every day with your family is important.

Nuria comes to the foundation to tell Amelia of her decision. “Andres is the light of my life. But his eyes don’t shine; he doesn’t smile.” She can’t keep waiting for a miracle, that he’ll remember her. She says Andres only wants to be with Amelia and she’s giving him back to her.

Braulio is on that roof gloating about his victory over Nuria and that HE will be Juan’s father. Again he hears his father’s voice telling him how ashamed he is of him. Santiago comes to tell Braulio that there’s a witness who saw him with Celia at the hotel the day she disappeared. “Diego is going to denounce you.”

Martha tells Mariano she’s sure Braulio deliberately set up Santiago. And, if Liana is also involved in this, the two of them will need to pay.

Thank you Novelera, for your wonderful recap! I haven’t watched yet but I will get the energy up to at some point. I’m really sorry but I don’t think I will be able to recap this week. My thoughts last week on being more tired than sick were wishful thinking. I have been physically ill since last Friday and absolutely everything I have attempted to put into my system has been rejected, including simple water as of today. Although I am certainly hoping to feel better by Thurs/Fri, I am just plain exhausted either way and I need to take a break and recover. Sorry to leave everyone hanging.
 

OT....Darcy, What is important is taking care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon.

Oh, my, Darcy! I am sorry to hear about your illness. Hope you are on the mend soon. Don't feel badly about not being up to recapping. This is not exactly a paid gig so anything we do is a bonus.

And, I'd like to say something in general about recapping. I have noticed a lack of volunteers here on Telemundo Central. I can remember a time when I could write one a week and others would have taken up the slack. I often took on the challenge of recapping premieres, with the help of Wikipedia, of course. There was nearly always a Wiki with the character names of most of the cast. I thought it was a good way to get people interested.

Recently I have often done two per week, hopefully not on consecutive nights. There seem to be more volunteers for the Uni novelas, but I still see folks doing at least two per week there. One wonders why. Back in the day we used to have three novelas per night on Telemundo, an 8PM, a 9PM and a 10PM. It was easier to pick one that appealed. Now Telemundo seems fully on board with cheaper reality programming, copying a trend in the U.S. for English language shows, saving on actors' salaries. Also, the 8PM hour was good for those who need to get up early for work.

I'm just venting a bit. I started watching El Privilegio de Amar in 1998. I was learning Spanish. I had a lot of trouble understanding a telenovela. My Latina coworker said it would be better if I began with the very first episode of one. I could grasp the plot that way and my vocabulary would improve. Excellent advice.

I have also trimmed down my recaps so as to keep doing them. We have had a true heroine in dondi, doing full recaps every night of the Turkish dizis. But that's not me.

So this is sort of a hopeful plea that some people might consider doing even very tiny recaps. It's been my experience that anything stimulates others to comment.

Also, I stopped watching El Señor de los Cielos after Season 2, so I am not planning to even comment. I don't hate all narconovelas, but I feel that one has gone way past its prime.

BSC Liana was speedy quick undressing as soon as Fausto was in her web. However, I didnt realize that she decided to roleplay Santiago\Nuria . Fausto ( Hold My Beer) looked like he had won the lottery ...best..day..ever for this smarmy dude.

I loved seeing the Three Musketeers together. ...Santi, Alberto, and Diego. Yay. Go get the bad guys.

Nuria tells Amelia that she loves her son, but knows that his heart belongs to Amelia.

Braulio and Santi on the roof. Braulio tells Santi that Diego is trying to get rid of him (blaming him for Celia’s death) because he wants to get his hands on Amelia’s money. Next we get some classic projection. Freud would immediately recognize it. Braulio tells Santiago that Santi enjoys watching him sink.

Nuria comes home and tells Andres she doesn’t want to force him to be with her. “If you wish to go to Amelia, you can.” She asks him to put his hand on his heart, listen to how very much she loves him, and say what he wants. “Yes, I want to go.”

Amelia tells Diego she’s very sad for Nuria. She also tells him about Braulio’s “deal” for the divorce. Diego isn’t surprised about what matters to Braulio.

Nuria tells Andres she wants to see him happy, playing. We see some cognitive dissonance when the boy sees the sad face of the mother who’s willing to give him up and remembers Braulio’s awful words, especially the part about Nuria not wanting Andres to see Amelia and the Zepedas. She tells him he’ll be in her heart forever. Andres looks right at her and thanks her.

Mia gets in Liana’s face about Fausto and gets a peek at the real Liana when her head is almost bitten off.

Martha calls Liana and asks her to come over. Liana snarls at Mia asking if she told Martha about Fausto.

Fabian’s mother doesn’t trust Martha and isn’t happy he went to see her.

Nuria tells Chelo. Chelo objects, saying she’d never give up her baby. Fausto calls, threatening the two of them.

Braulio tries to rape Chenta at work. [Why is he always there? He refused Santiago’s offer to work there, but he just shows up all the time.] It doesn’t look good for Chenta, but Alberto shows up. Braulio gets punched out again. [Is that four times or five??] Alberto also orders him to leave.

Martha shows Liana the letter Tigre told her about. Liana asks how she got it. Martha gets right in her face. Liana denies doing anything. Martha: “You planned the attack where Alicia died. You planned the setup that sent Santiago to prison, knowing all the while that he’s innocent.”

Santi comes to the pension and is told about the threat from Fausto. Nuria tells him she’s giving Andres back. [Side note: I am liking William Levy in this novela. Other times I thought his acting wasn’t very good, he was relying on his looks, and he spoke so fast I couldn’t understand a third of what he said without subtitles. But I’m finding him very sympathetic in this one.]

Fausto snoops in Liana’s bedroom. He takes a piece of jewelry that he mutters he could eat on for a year, maybe two. He can’t open the small safe, but finds a wad of money. Then he finds the apparently still blood-stained scissors that killed Aida. He grins and says that the muñequita will pay him plenty to keep this quiet.

Martha is fantastic, not backing down from Liana. She tells Liana that she spoke with Fabian. And she accuses her of betraying Santiago. “I curse the day we took you into our lives!” Liana tries to blame it all on Braulio, saying he threatened her. As a last resort, she pulls out that video she took of Braulio saying all he’d done, not realizing that she was recording him.

Ros talks to Rai about how much she loves him and all the years they’ll have together. I wish they’d quit milking this.

Chenta is grateful to Alberto, but she’s convinced he won’t be able to forget her past.

The neighbor guy who saw Braulio welcomed into Diego’s apartment by Celia has come along with Diego and Amelia to the police. Amelia tells the police that she too believes her husband killed Celia.

Santi comes to Nuria’s room to talk with Andres. The boy tells him what he remembers of his escape from the kidnappers and getting on a bus. Santi tells him he should realize that he’s going to Amelia because Nuria is letting him go. She’s making a huge sacrifice. This is what a mother’s love looks like.

Martha looks disgusted, guessing that the next thing not shown on the video is Braulio and Liana doing the deed. Liana tries again, saying it was all Braulio. Martha slaps her, hard. Liana goes after Martha, shrieking maniacally. Mariano comes in and stops her.

Mia comes to see Santi, saying that Liana is not herself and it’s all Santi’s fault. She spills the beans about Liana’s abortion. Nuria comes in and Mia rags on her some. [Boy this woman is dumb.[ Santi tells Nuria he needs to talk with Liana. Nuria doesn’t look thrilled but trusts him. He and Mia go together.

Martha tells Liana that, if she’s innocent, she’ll have to prove it to the police. Liana looks frozen.

Nuria asks Andres if she can sleep with him, since it’s his last night with her. He agrees and quickly falls asleep. Nuria cries some.

Novelera: Howdy from the Alamo City. Good job on the recap of last night's episode. Braulio still cannot help himself & the Scumbag tries to rape Chenta at the freaking office OMG.

Andres: Fast Forward because this kid is annoying.

I noticed Slippery Juan from "VINO" in this Telenovela portraying Diego.

Mia is FUCKING STUPID.

I agree with you that William has been doing a great job in this show. He has improved so much since I first saw him in " Pasion" with Fernando Colunga and Susana Gonzales. He wore a weird wig in that one . I like the scenes between Santi and Andres. William is a dad, so he can relate .

I got a big kick out of Fausto in his undies walking around Liana's bedroom like he was at a garage sale. The actor has mastered this sleazy, arrogant character .

Liana is now in full slide down a slippery slope of madness . Kim knows how to bring the BSC .

Looks like charming , disarming Alberto will end up with Chenta.

I am not a fan of Amelia , but Diego is , so she will get a HEA and help raise his adorable daughter . Susan

Had a two-hour Zoom this evening. This will be brief. More BSC from Liana. Martha tells her not to say anything to Braulio. Liana gets from this that Martha is trying to save Braulio by blaming her. Mariano has to protect Martha again from an attack.

Chalo might stay in Chelo’s room to protect her. We see a nice smile from Chelo, excellent after all the weeping and moaning.

Fausto doesn’t like Liana’s good booze. Santi shows up to reproach Liana for aborting his kid. She doesn’t tell him he’s only one of possibly three sperm donors.

Braulio treats his recently hired lawyer like crap. He wants custody of Andres (and the shares). The lawyer looks like she’s considering a career as a public defender rather than one more minute with Braulio.

Nuria is about to take Andres to Casa Zepeda. He’s all packed, and the whole pension comes to say goodbye and say they want to see him again.

Mia comes to see Liana. She sees Fausto. Liana shrieks at her about telling Santi about the abortion. Liana goes nuts. She slaps Mia. Then she raves about Mia being on Nuria’s side to get Santi away from her. She bashes her on the head with that liquor bottle while the Psycho movie violins play. After a commercial, she’s contrite, begging Mia to wake up. Fausto yells that they have to leave.

Nuria brings Andres to Casa Zepeda. Casandra is happy. Amelia tells Nuria she’s so sorry. Andres rushes to embrace Martha.

The cops come to GZ to take Braulio to the local police station. His lawyer shows up there. Diego makes a big mistake, coming to yell at Braulio. Braulio tells the cops Diego is the violent one and probably killed Celia out of jealousy. He admits the affair. Braulio is released.

Martha apologizes to Nuria for all the bad things she said and for Braulio being so awful to Nuria.

Casandra asks Andres if he doesn’t feel badly about his mother. We don’t get an answer

Diego calls Amelia, who then tells Martha about Braulio’s being taken to the police station.

Chelo and Chalo have a moment. But he shows a glimmer of good sense. He needs time because one day ago he was madly in love with Eugenia.

Fausto watches Liana talking to a corpse (and to Tigre) and gets a good look at the stability (not) of his partner in crime. [They’re leaving the corpse there to start to smell?]

Nuria comes home, is embraced by Ros, and says she’s going to work very hard to Andres will be proud of her.

Braulio shows up before Liana and Fausto can leave. Liana tells him she’s running, and he should do the same. Fabian returned to Mexico, and Martha knows what they did. “We’re finished!” The episode ends with Braulio staring bug-eyed.

I tuned in a bit late and didn't see Liana bean Mia with the bottle. I thought Liana was talking to a dark piece of clothing or a towel on the bed as Caused continued shopping the bedroom. Wow. Mia paid a high price for her clueless devotion to her " friend???"BSCLiana.

Yes, Chalo, who is always wise and measured in his decisions ( teehee) , decides to take a minute before casting his fate to Chelo.

Diego made a big mistake confronting Braulio in front of those three folks , who looked like they wanted to be any place but there.

Nuria proved she is a loving mother by taking unhappy , stressed out Andres back to Amelia . I wondered why she was suddenly fussing around her sewing machine . Thanks to your recap , I now realize that her plan is to succeed with her designs for Andres . And , we know that she will . Susan
