Caray, Caray!

I watched the first 2 episodes of Golpe ( thought it had the potential to be good) but it didn't appeal so I abandoned it. Well unfortunately I read some of the episode synopsis' and that was what didn't appeal. I actually like a comedy once in a while but this didn't fit my criteria.

EL EXTRAÑO RETORNO DE DIANA SALAZAR
(The Strange Return of Diana Salazar)

I just started watching this on VIX this last weekend. It is a VIX production and another “series” as was “El gallo de oro.” There was a telenovela of the same name that aired in the late ‘80’s with 196 episodes as compared to the series with a total of sixteen.

This series stars Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Rulli and deals with love enduring over lifetimes. I am finding it entertaining with that sci fi twist. Again, it is something different. It is fun seeing Boyer and Rulli in a fantastic kind of story.

I wish that Univision and Telemundo could find their way to doing more series interspersed with traditional telenovelas. “El gallo de oro” was a breath of fresh air, as this is, partially due to their lengths. There are many stories to be told that may not need 50+ episodes.
 

OT Jarifa, looks like I can watch the first episode free, but the others are premium. Hopefully they will make it all free in the future I agree shorter series definitely would fill a niche. Keep them in reserve for when other new productions fall behind and they try to drag out the current series to fill the void.

Susan, if you have a smart phone or TV you can download the ViX app. There is a free version. One feature I especially like is their CC, they put the characters name in front of their dialogue. This is especially helpful in the beginning of a series as you try to learn the characters names. Not sure how much the premium subscription runs. I'm leery of getting into paid subscriptions in case it becomes difficult to end it. Our YouTube TV is provided by my daughter. It can have up to 6 different users, though it maxed out at 3 at a time. That 10 p.m. time slot causes me to lose a place at the table which is why I have to save shows in my library.

I always like to post about Spanish language programming I find good or interesting no matter where I find it especially if it has actors I am/we are familiar with.

Everyone has different ways of consuming or not consuming media. Lately, I have been subscribing to different streaming services for a month or two here or there to see what I am interested in.
 

OT Jarifa. I enjoyed El Ultimo Matrimonio Feliz on Telemundo if you are looking for another show. It's a Colombian TN. I guess going off topic on a page that has no recaps is as good a place as any to discuss other shows....

Jarifa, which Diana Salazar are you watching? The original or the remake? I watched the 1st episode of the remake, which only has 8 episodes total. So I did a search and discovered the 1988 version. I can get all of that version on the free ViX.
