Somehow, I managed to stumble my way through recapping the first 50 episodes. I was able to decipher some of the action and dialogue but missed much. But you, (the wonderful patio) cleared up and clarified what I couldn’t understand. I was and am so thankful for all of your help.

As the pace and dialogue became even more fast and furious, I knew I was in trouble. It was at that time that my friend stepped in with her generous, selfless offer, volunteering to help. As grateful as I have been, I vowed not to take advantage of her scant, precious time; nor did I want to make any assumption that she would be able to continue to help. I did not want her to feel any pressure which is I did not identify her sooner (although reading your comments, this has surely been the worst kept secret, ever) :)

Rgv Chick has been my copilot who navigated brilliantly throughout, providing crystal clear clarity. She masterfully guided me through the myriads of events, confusing dialog and innumerable unaired scenes. Thank you amiga!

Well, being rather new to the patio I didn't guess the secret, but I have read some of her older recaps so I guess I should have had a clue. Thanks Rgv chick. Does Rgv stand for anything in particular? A type of chicken perhaps?

VIVIR #121 Part 1

Fatima thinks Bruno killed Monica because she may have discovered Bruno! With that, Cris faints not so dead away…Everyone panics…

Elena is upset that Angel has changed her wedding venue… Angel pleads for her support and Gi assures her dear friend all will be well and asks her not to worry. Elena looks uncertain but Angel grabs her mother’s hand and thanks her.

Cris murmurs that she is fine. Fatima, JE and Don Emilio ask her what happened so Adolfo interjects that it must have been something she ate that is bothering her. JE wants to call the doctor but Cris demurs and agrees to go home to rest. JE tells Don Emilio to go rest as well and reminds everyone to keep mum about the wedding.

Misael tells Rebeca about the crop loss, blaming Fatima. He then tells her that Icky discovered information about Bruno; perhaps his mother found out too and Bruno killed her because of that. (Or perhaps you are spilling too much information to the murderer herself? Loose lips…) Rebeca stares and tries to look sympathetic.

After JE and Sebas exchange their thoughts on the latest events, JE tells Sebas that he will be seeing Bruno tomorrow.

Rebeca asks if JE mentioned why he canceled the wedding. “No” is the reply. After Rebeca tells him that Petra confirmed that the wedding was cancelled, JE enters and offers Misael the plane tickets that he and Angel were to use for their honeymoon. Misael actually smiles and thanks him as Beca offers a simpering smile.

Axel wants Brayan to help Memo get out of jail, but Brayan says he can’t…they can look for others to help them who won’t let themselves be caught so easily. If Axel insists, Brayan will show him who’s boss! Speaking of, he wants Axel to help him teach Lucas who is in charge! (Lots of teaching from an idiot I scoff).

The physical therapist praises Mati for all she’s accomplished. Lucas offers to leave so Mati can rest but Mati smiles and asks that he stay. They kiss as her leg moves! Music plays as the luminous moon appears.

VIVIR #121 Part 2

Adolfo tucks Cris in and his love for her glows brightly. Cris thanks him for everything and for allowing her to spend the night with him. Adolfo urges Cris to tell her family about her condition, but Cris is worried about her father. Adolfo assures her that he will always be there for her…and asks that when she feels better they’ll take a trip and enjoy life. Cris agrees.

Fatima tells Luciano that her uncle is contacting the insurance company to see how much they will cover. Luciano offers his help in whatever way he can. Fatima reminds him of the wedding…and calls out for Cris; she isn’t in her room. Now where could she be? :)

JE and Angel are anxiously awaiting their wedding day. They are both animated and happily anticipating the next day as they blow kisses on the phone. Before they hang up, JE tells her that Misael and Rebeca accepted the plane tickets.

Suspicious Rebeca wonders if JE is in his room…and considers going to check.

Misael looks in on Pedrito and Wanda (sleeping so sweetly next to each other) and silently promises himself that Wanda will not take his son. He sees Rebeca on her way to JE’s room, but she deflects by telling him she was looking for him (yeah right!) He tells her that he wants Pedrito to go with them on the trip. Rebeca fudges and tries to convince Misael that they not got go but Misael insists.

A worried Fatima goes to ask Adolfo about her mother but needn’t have bothered! When Adolfo answers the door, she sees Cris sleeping in the bed. She tells Adolfo she doesn’t want to wake Cris up. Fatima smiles sweetly saying how glad she is that Cris is with Adolfo and blows a kiss.

We see a fiery sun rising in the morning sky.

At the jail, Bruno tells JE that everything he did was ordered by Misael. If JE helps him get out of there, Bruno will give him the evidence. JE sits back and takes Bruno’s measure (I will do it for him: Bruno = Zero).

VIVIR #121 Part 3

Misael tells Don Emilio about the trip and defends his love for Rebeca. Dear, deluded Don Emilio asks that he wait until Wanda returns so that she can say goodbye to Pedrito…and maybe during the trip, they can tell Pedrito about his mother. Pedrito comes in and tells his abuelo he doesn’t want to go on the trip. But Don Emilio charms him (and us, hell even Misael is smiling) and convinces him to go since can get to know his father.

(Unaired) Gi raves about Doris’s dress… (a pox upon the editors)

Misael, Rebeca and Pedrito are at the airport wheeling their suitcases. Beca is her usual witchy self-taking it out on Pedrito and Misael has to rein her in.

(Unaired) Don Emilio tells JE that he should not worry about the company since it’s his wedding day. JE agrees…he will never have doubts about Angel nor will he leave her. (Uh oh, foreshadowing??)

Next is a very sweet scene with Elena, Angel and Santi. Angel is dressing for the wedding as Elena muses she can’t believe Angel is starting a new life with JE despite all the problems they have overcome. She will be a great bride, wife and a better mother than she due to her (Elena) having made so many mistakes. Angel points out that she herself has also endured much but Elena has always been a loving and understanding mother. Santi agrees and adds that he too has made mistakes. He assures Angel that he will take care of and protect their mother. Sweet, embracing “love you’s” follow.

Fatima tells Cris (in a stunning black dress with pearl embellishment around the neckline) that she looks a bit pale. Fatima wants her to be happy because she deserves it. When JE comes in, Fatima tells him that that someone is wooing their mother. JE also wants Cris to be happy and enjoy life and her grandson that is on the way. Cris is very playful with her son, calling him guapo and the actors seem to be genuinely having fun with this scene. JE helps Cris up and kisses her cheek as the three head out.

At the restaurant, Elena welcomes the arriving guests. Lupe (pretty in an ivory print off the shoulder maxi dress) and Wanda (purple print dress) arrive with Luis, Lucas, Marisa (in a nice black flowered dress), Loli and Carmelo in tow. Lupe compliments Wanda about her appearance.

Gi (lovely in a purple V neck dress) and Armando (beautiful ivory suit, white shirt and pink tie) are waiting for their daughter. Sebas arrives and asks for Doris. Gi tells him he is in for a big surprise. Then, Doris arrives looking like a Grecian goddess, wrapped in a silver metallic strapless creation. Sebas is numb from shock.

VIVIR #121 Part 4

As things were going far too well, the tide inevitably turns. Rebeca calls Elena but Sandra answers and tells her that her mother is greeting the guests before the bride gets there! “Como” Rebeca manages, “the wedding wasn’t cancelled???”

Guests chatter as they wait for the bride.

Elena (burgundy dress, necklace and a fabulous ponytail) tells Gi that she regrets that her children will never be close but she can’t abandon Rebeca. Elena has completed all the paperwork to change Rebeca’s name to Frida…but Angel and Santi don’t know yet.

JE (handsome in a dark suit with gray vest) arrives to much clapping and joy.

Rebeca tells Misael that she isn’t going with him whining the repetitive “his family will never accept her”. She just found out that JE and Angel are getting married at this very moment! They lied to ensure Misael wouldn’t bring her to the wedding. Rebeca goes on the offense, accusing Misael of being in on it but Misael denies knowing anything. When she tells him that it’s best they don’t see each other anymore, he tells her no, they WILL go to the wedding and promises that he will give JE an earful. “Vamanos” he declares, wheeling the suitcases away.

At the restaurant, Angel arrives but on her person, there is no white in sight. She wears a (surprising) Kelly green dress slit up to the thigh, carrying a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath. Her hair is pulled back with a mini ponytail with (only) two pairs of earrings. Clapping and whistles abound. The ceremony starts.

(Unaired) Rebeca pushes Pedrito into the cab (as not so doting dad says nothing).

VIVIR #121 Part 5

Brayan bandies a gun about, declaring it’s time for Lucas’s payback. Axel tells him no one is in the neighborhood. Brayan comments that Lucas has to return and he will be waiting for him (as he taunts Axel pointing the gun in his face).

The wedding vows are made…and the officiant asks Angel and JE to sign. After he declares them husband and wife, everyone breaks out in delighted smiles and joyously applaud and whistle! More clapping …the Wedding March plays as the newlyweds kiss.

But into every Garden of Eden a snake must crawl. Misael and Rebeca arrive and Rebeca saunters across the floor in her strange top and too short skirt. She makes a beeline directly to Angel and JE. Cris starts to stand in alarm as JE tells Rebeca to leave. When Rebeca comments that they married because of her (expected) nephew, Angel SLAPS her and warns that she’d better not mess with her baby! She doesn’t want her near her baby.

As Angel and JE continue to demand that she go, Rebeca puts on her little amnesia act saying that she just wanted to share in their happiness and asks what she harm she caused them to deserve this! As our bile rises, she pleads forgiveness but Angel and JE tell her to stop and leave! Misael approaches and sarcastically thanks JE for the invitation and tells them Rebeca is with him. All that gets is an invitation for Misael to leave too! Rebeca continues her amnesia act and asks what she needs to do to get them to believe her. Angel retorts “nothing” and JE tells her that they know she set them up at the hotel. “Que?” Rebeca utters, feigning ignorance but Angel repeatedly tells her to leave. After Elena and Cris join the chorus, Misael finally leads her out. When he calls out for Pedrito, Don Emilio informs him Pedrito will stay there. JE calms Angel and reminds her that she is now his wife. “Si” she answers putting her hands on his face and kissing him as she mutters “te amo”.

Loli tells Pedrito that she overheard Alma praying for Rebeca who isn’t right in the head. It is a secret.

VIVIR #121 Part 6 of 6

With Elena standing behind Rebeca, Misael asks about the set up but she continues to feign ignorance…and adds that she came only for him since his family hates her. Elena tells her that JE and Angel need time before they forgive her. Misael comments that they won’t be begging them especially after this humiliation. Rebeca begs her mother to forgive her for the intrusion and as they leave, Elena looks upset.

JE and Angel explain to Santi how Rebeca set them up at the hotel…which confirms that Rebeca didn’t lose her memory. JE then tells Santi that when Angel disappeared, Rebeca kidnapped her and threatened to hurt their baby…and now Angel has nightmares. Angel asks that he not tell anyone. Angel takes her brother’s hand and then JE leads her off.

Elena asks Gi to liven up the wake, errr, reception. She smiles and goes over to Armando.

Santi gives Sandra a small white rose…because she’s pretty. She thanks him as she lights up.

JE reminds Angel that this is their wedding and she should enjoy it. They are going to be so happy! Then Gi calls them out to start the first dance. Applause as the theme music plays. Happy shots of the various tables, Don Emilio, Cris and Armando, Fatima and Luciano…

Misael and Rebeca are still outside the restaurant as Rebeca twists the dagger about his family not liking her. Misael tells her that he loves her…and wants to share his life with her. She thanks him and as they kiss, Santi approaches and scolds Rebeca for coming. He warns he will not allow them to hurt Angel, his mother, or his future nephew…Misael tells him not to be so dramatic. Santi tells Misael to the take the nutcase away as Rebeca’s reminding Santi they are hermanos falls on deaf ears. Santi threatens that if they don’t go far away, he will tell the Rivero Cuellar who paid him to go into their house to rob it…and who shot Dulce!! Misael looks on enraged…

Rgv Chick’s dialogue translations were superbly relayed as always and were so helpful! Her gracious time and effort is immensely appreciated!

Thanks Diana and chickie... Not so sure Santi should have warned Misael about spilling the truth. This may cause his demise. I still don't understand why Angelli refuses to incriminate Reb in the kidnapping, especially now she is out on the loose.

The fact that Alma considered Reb sick in the head helps with her eventual insanity defense I guess.

I liked the Kelly green dress. I liked all the guests attire. Rebecca certainly stood out like a sore thumb in her crop top and too short jean skirt.
 

Vivir. Another great recap, Diana and Rgv Chick! So glad to learn about your identity, RC!. "Into every Garden of Eden a snake must crawl." Loved it! Ah, so those tickets were for a "honeymoon trip," not a destination wedding. I did wonder about how Misael could get Pedrito on the plane. Wouldn't he need some sort of id for a plane trip within Mexico and a passport if it was to another country? Of course, since they don't actually go we don't learn whether Pedrito has id or not. JE should have told Sandra and all the restaurant employees to keep mum about the wedding. I think Angelli may have worn white the first time she and JE got married. I loved her green dress for this time around--a symbol of hope.
 

Vivir. And Cris does indeed have breast cancer? The writers could be a bit more clear about it, and so far they are missing out on an opportunity for a very worthwhile psa.

OMG, as you noted, Santi should not have confronted Misael (especially with Rebeca right there). I am very afraid for him. He should have spoken up long ago and this wasn't the right way to do it.

Angel's dress caught me by surprise. But I loved the deep, rich hue of the dress. I thought the slit was too high for a wedding dress.

Thank you, Diana and Rgv Chick! And yeah, I was betting it was Rgv Chick, but just because I know two have a history of recap collaborations, not because of anything you said that gave it away! Your always well written recap has given me a foreboding impression today, I hope I’m wrong!!! But all the loving words between Fatima and JE wishing Cris a bright beautiful happy future, has me wondering if Cris is going to have a future?? I hope so, losing Cris would be a horrible blow for DE, as well as Al, JE and Fatima!
Rebeca found out about the wedding, raise your hand if you’re surprised! No? Me neither. Kind of an anticlimactic result for that though… which must mean the other shoe is about to drop somewhere! Rebeca will have to get revenge in some sneaky way. Santi just put his own life in danger…

I really hope JE doesn’t help Bruno! Let him rot!!! Please let Angel tell him about the rape before he does anything to help Bruno! They don’t need Bruno’s help. Wherever he has the evidence hidden, if he even does, I’m search they can find it without him. Search his house, office, safe deposit box, what have you and find it yourself!

While the good guys are getting things done without the bad guys, perhaps the cops could find Brayan before Brayan finds Lucas??? That would be nice!

Pedrito isn't exactly a globetrotter is he and therefore not likely to be in possession of a passport. Great question as to how Misael was going to get him on the plane...smuggle him in? :)

I do think Cris has cancer; if I'm wrong, I hope someone will correct me.

Diana, thank you for another outstanding recap that was entertaining and fun in its own right, but also was so very helpful with parts of the show that gave me trouble.

It seems that "One for all, all for one" is not Brayan's motto. I expect that this will bite him in the butt now since we are so close to the curtain dropping.

It's hard to think of everything, but the restaurant staff should have been warned to keep mum and given an excuse for not taking reservations, etc., etc., for the day.

"Loli tells Pedrito that she overheard Alma praying for Rebeca who isn’t right in the head. It is a secret." Yeah, Alma didn't realize at first that Loli was there back when, while she prayed, aloud of course, about Rebeca's having been diagnosed as being a bit crazy at a young age. I sometimes wondered why Alma never said anything to Becky about this and also wondered if she and Antonio ever tried to get Becky some help. Perhaps they could not afford it. Or maybe the writers just preferred Becky crazy... BSC :-)

I wonder if her insanity will be a small escape hatch for Becky.

I really like the Santi & Sandra bit, but although Sandra seems to be doing OK, she can't be completely OK yet; but telenovela time is different. I wonder if Einstein knew about this.

I liked Doris's dress... I think. That was an awfully quick look we got.

It was a pretty tricky idea to try to fool Bonnie and Clyde by faking a breakup and then so generously giving them a free vaca!!!Too bad the plan fell through.

So... first wedding, the bride wears white. Second jungle wedding casual attire and beads. Third wedding , A slinky Emerald green gown with a slit up to...there. Okay. I only got married once and wore white . Times are a changing.
Are we going to lose another innocent before this show ends ...Chris? Santi? Would the writers be that cruel? Susan

I was intrigued by your questions regarding Becky especially your thought provoking "I wonder if her insanity will be a small escape hatch for Becky". I believe it will be. While I think Rebeca is tainted by evil, the truth is that she is also mentally ill. That doesn't excuse what she has done but it is part of who she is. I would also venture to say Alma and Antonio did not look into any help for Beca. I think Alma was afraid not only of what they might find but also that Rebeca could have been taken away.

And as far as "losing another innocent", I fear that will be a certainty. Until today, I kept telling myself that because Elena has in effect lost one of her three children, that nothing would happen to Santi or Angel. But after the way Misael looked at Santi, my heart just sank. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

Well, I was wrong about the destination wedding, but their idea was much better.

I loved the green dress. Our church just replaced a lighter green on the alter with that same color. I should ask what the color means! Doris looked so beautiful. I was surprised Jimea and Renato weren’t there. She Angel’s best friend.

I wanted to put my hand over Santi’s mouth. There he was being brave and threatening two killers.

Brayan was bad but now he’s dangerously bad. Hope he gets caught, the police should be looking for him.

I don’t want any innocents to die. But I was mad at Elena. She’s really clueless about Roberta. Misael is too!

DE sent me straight to the dictionary with “Eso del patatús pues déjamelo a mi.” - Leave the dizzy spells to me- when everyone is fussing over Cris. They certainly didn’t teach us that in school. Fun word.

It was fun seeing Manipulator Misael getting manipulated for a change. Fun while it lasted.

The best thing about having Bruto in jail is that we’re spared his ridiculous penchant for plaid and his nightmarish ink. Let.Him.Rot.

Big Bang really is making an effort to be a dad (yay) and make it work with Big Reb (boo). This makes him far less sociopathic than Reb, Mónica, Mauricio, or even Brayan. Can he be redeemed? He’s already done so much but continues misguided. Seeing him happy with JE and DE in the credits seems like a pipe dream. I’m on Team Wanda (and Primitivo). I enjoyed his scenes with Pedrito though.

I don’t know much about jewelry, but I really liked Elena’s diamond/ruby(?) necklace - the perfect complement to her red dress. JE really is a walking Ken doll. So dapper. That dude can wear some clothes. As a galán he scores about a 5.18 (for reasons we’ve all been over). For fashion, it’s 1Os across the board. It was sweet that Wanda indicated she’s dressed to impress on account of Pedrito. She hopes he likes her more refined look.

Why did we only get a nanosecond of Doris’ Grecian showstopper? Is Brayan the editor - cuz we’ve been ROBBED! While homegirl was completely stunning, I was distracted by some ink on her left shoulder. ¿QTH? It was very tiny and unreadable. Why, Dorotea? Why?!!

Ang’s dress was perfect…for the Daytime Emmy Awards. Methinks she’s using the same MiracleGro®️ Misael used on his bang because de repente she had hair and ponytail for days. She looked incredible. I’m really surprised she didn’t find a way to show off her million dollar midriff. I guess being pregnant and getting married and all calls for a little more coverage. That slit though. #yowsa. Speaking of awards, it was nice to see Rebecca get the Will Smith treatment from Ang. Great to see Ang on the offensive instead of the victim she’s been throughout the series.

Santiago is really in a precarious spot. He knows about the kidnapping, He gave Age-Shifter Sandra some sweet foliage. He disowned Frida and threatened Misael. He better watch his hideously tattooed neck!

I didn't notice Jimena and Renato's absence, but someone needs to be in the kitchen besides waitress Sandra, so I'll place him there for practicality purposes, and Jimena has a pizza joint to run with no signs of any employees, so I bet she is whipping out pizzas in a dazzling fuchsia or magenta dress/pants suit without a speck of pizza sauce on it.

At last, Angel got to give Rebeca a good slap. I can see Angel getting bored with white after three rounds (2 JE, 1 Renato), and that green did look fab on her. But the split was too ordinary.

Yep, JE has been GQ throughout Vivir. (He and Armando got it going on.) Loved JE "inviting" Misael to leave too with his crazy B.

Maybe I'm nuts but I can't see Elena losing Santi too, but he's definitely endangered.

Doris was lovely, but the silver color looked too washed out for me. A deeper color would've contrasted better with her complexion. But then I suppose she would've been competing with the bride.

I agree with most of the above comments with two exceptions:

Angeli's hairstyle was meh. She should have had an elegant upsweep with that amazing dress.

Rebecca is not insane; she knows what she is doing is criminal or she wouldn't be so careful covering her tracks.

I personally think that Angel and JE should have had this confrontation behind closed doors, as I doubt that all the guests would have Rebecca's number.

Lots of teaching from an idiot I scoff - Brayan’s thirst for vengeance (like a lot of our show’s plot twists) came out of nowhere. Is it because his hacienda raid was thwarted? From grand theft to premeditated murder in 2.5 episodes. Ok. He needs to be shut down (and shorn).

I will do it for him: Bruno = Zero. I hope karma strikes soon (what comes around goes around) and I hope we don’t have to watch something too grizzly (even though he deserves every bit).

Hell even Misael is smiling - they can go ahead and wrap everything up, issue a new set of beanies, and then give us Season 2 where Misael is good, and we concentrate on the screen gold that is DE, JE, Misael, and Misael Jr. I’d watch!

Santi threatens that if Misael and Rebeca don’t go far away, he will tell the Rivero Cuellar who paid him to go into their house to rob it…and who shot Dulce!! Misael looks on enraged…

In the aftermath of cyclone Rebeca, Cris tells Elena that JE and Angel didn’t deserve this on their wedding day. She understands how Elena must feel because of Rebeca’s actions, but Rebeca always upsets everyone (the unvarnished truth!). Elena doesn’t know what to think of Rebeca anymore (really Elena we ask flummoxed?) She thought Rebeca had changed but she continues to do disconcerting things (e.g. murder) …but she is still her daughter and has to help her (no you don’t the patio screams). Cris then suggests Elena take Rebeca to a specialist (a good suggestion but alas 25 years too late). Elena says nothing…

Misael grabs Santi and snarls that he understands he wants to play the protective brother role, but it does not behoove him. After he goes after Santi even more aggressively, Rebeca pulls him back and asks him what’s going on. After Santi repeats Misael and Rebeca need to go away…Misael reminds him that he protected him and paid off his debts. After Santi leaves, (liar and faker) Rebeca asks Misael what they were talking about and actually asks who Dulce is! (I… just… can’t…)

JE takes Adolfo aside and asks about Bruno’s case. Adolfo tells him that the police don’t think he killed Monica; (unfortunately) the cameras show that Bruno arrived at the apartment AFTER the police received the anonymous call. When he adds that the call may have been made by the real “assassina!” wide eyed JE incredulously repeats “a mujer”!?

Rebeca asks Misael what Santi was talking about; Misael (deceivingly) explains that Santi entered his grandfather’s house, Dulce found him, and he shot her. “Que?” wide eyed Beca (who is subbing for Romina today) asks. Misael ordered the robbery because he needed some incriminating documents so if Santi talks, he could end up in jail. He then stupidly admits to having the document, adding he must destroy it.

JE tells Adolfo that he met with Bruno who asked for help in exchange for the name of the person who was responsible for the fraud along with the evidence. Sandra who has ascended the stairs arrives to hear JE add that if Bruno is set free, they can make him think they helped him so he can give them the evidence. She blanches and moves away.

Jimena (in a lovely green jacket the color similar to Angel’s wedding dress) and David arrive at the restaurant. To her utter dismay, she sees the building has been vandalized with graffiti. Jimena is upset but David (bless him) thinks it looks cool!

VIVIR #122 Part 2

Sebas tells Doris (as proud as a peacock papa Armando stands behind her, hands on her shoulders) that she looks especially elegant today. Gi adds that he will see her like that from now on. Fashionista Doris assures them that they may dress her up as they wish, but when she goes to her shop, she will dress however she wants. Sebas tells her she will be beautiful regardless of what she wears.

Fatima tosses the bouquet and as Gi hopes Doris catches it, it goes flying into Fatima’s hands. Angel rushes forward in excitement for her friend as JE and Luciano make it a foursome on the floor.

Sebastian asks to talk with Cris; he tells her about Doris and his feelings for her. As Cris smiles kindly, she tells him how much Dulce loved him. While she appreciates what he did for Dulce (who is now their angel), he deserves to be happy. She is sure Dulce would not want to see him alone! Cris gently says that when Dulce married him, Cris gained a son. He has her blessing and wishes him happiness. They hug warmly.

Misael calls Santi for a meeting so they can come to an agreement. Rufino approaches and Misael tells him that he needs to make that imbecile Santi disappear.

Mati (in a lavender dress with frilly sleeves) watches everyone dance, wishing she could have fun like she used to. Lucas immediately brings her to the dance floor and they dance, together and apart, she in her wheelchair, he on his feet. She smiles brightly.

As they dance, (delusional) Santi assures Angel that Rebeca won’t bother them anymore.

JE and Cris share a mother/son dance, JE brimming with happiness. With a smile, Cris asks when they will marry in the church. JE replies after the baby is born. Cris is also overcome with joy as JE smartly twirls her under his arm as she hugs him.

VIVIR #122 Part 3

Renato is at the almost empty pizzeria when Icky darkens the door. The fool came with balloons as his plus one. :) Apparently, David invited him.

Don Emilio praises Mati for how far she has progressed in her rehabilitation. He tells her that he also went through rehab and recovered and is sure she will too.

Icky mocks at how few customers there are; he also smirks and sarcastically remarks about the graffiti. Renato (in his unbuttoned shirt down to his naval) has an idea and walks out.

Armando comments to Gi about the boring music so Doris turns it up and out, playing dance music on her phone. Everyone has flocked to the dance floor, movin’ and a groovin’, even Pedrito, Javi and Loli!

Renato has a clever inspiration and purchases brightly colored paint. He and David have parlayed the graffiti into an opportunity, inviting the customers to buy pizza and join in painting the exterior walls. The tables are full as Icky looks at his deflated balloons. Later, Jimena is thrilled at their opening day success, all because of Renato’s idea.

Angel enters the restroom, worrying about reporting her sister but knowing she must protect her child. She hears crying and realizes she isn’t alone. It is Sandra, distraught because Bruno will be free! Angel gently and kindly tells her that if she reports Bruno, he won’t get out. In the face of overwhelming pressure, Sandra leaves without saying anything.

Santi puts a protective arm on his mother, telling her he will do whatever it takes to protect them. Elena thinks his father would be very proud of him. She tells him she loves him, blesses him and wishes him a good night. After she goes up to her room, Santi grimly looks at his phone and leaves.

VIVIR #122 Part 4

Angel smiles as she sees how beautifully romantic JE has made their apartment. He carries her over the threshold where huge bouquets of flowers, heart shaped rose petals on the bed and table and dozens of lit candles await. They begin to undress as he lays her tenderly on the bed.

Santi is waiting for Misael when Rufino walks up. Santi refuses to go with Rufino as another thug walks up behind him and knocks him out. They pick him up…

Adolfo tells Cris, Don Emilio, Misael and Rebeca that the police now suspect the woman who made the anonymous call is the real murderer! He then mentions that he will rush Bruno’s release so Bruno will name the person responsible for the company’s fraud. Rebeca tries to keep her expression impassive as Misael seethes.

Misael vehemently argues against trusting Bruno. Icky learned Bruno was delaying payments on the company loan and also heard Bruno threatening his mother. Don Emilio thinks Bruno was behind the murder as he hasn’t provided an alibi. Misael states that his mother may not have been the best but he still wants justice; Don Emilio concurs; he doesn’t want the same thing to happen that did with Dulce. To her credit, Beca remains cool as a cucumber.

David shows Jimena and Renato all the glowing comments about the pizzeria. After David leaves, Jimena thanks Renato for his support. He thinks it will be good for their relationship. Jimena looks surprised and counters with “relationship? What relationship?” Renato smiles and says she has already divorced icky. They kiss as one turns into the next.

As the candles (and their ardor) continue to burn, Angel and JE’s wedding night continues. They talk about how much they already love the baby. All JE wants to do is love Angel. Besos.

Rebeca tries to manipulate Misael into thinking that Cris could be the one who shot Monica.

VIVIR #122 Part 5

Fatima doesn’t think Bruno is a killer…he is a coward. Cris agrees and asks Adolfo how the woman who made the anonymous call could have heard the shot as the police found the gun with a silencer. Adolfo tells them that the porter recalled a pizza being delivered at the same time the crime was committed.

Misael has apparently told (already cognizant) Rebeca about the pizza delivery as she questions its significance; Misael explains that the porter saw the person arrive but never saw the person leave. Rebeca continues to point fingers at Cris, but Misael defends Cris. Rebeca then notes that Bruno could still talk but Misael doesn’t think he will …it’s Santi whom he has to shut up.

Rufino and his henchie leave Santi lying unconscious on the ground after apparently having shot him up with drugs.

Lucas enters his house followed by Brayan who points a gun at his head, spilling venom.

(Unaired) Luciano thinks of Fatima catching the bouquet. Meanwhile Fatima wonders when she started thinking about getting married.

Lucas tried to talk Brayan down but Brayan starts screaming at him as Lupe enters. Seeing Brayan’s gun trained on Lucas, she runs and shields Lucas with her body just before Brayan shoots!!

After the shot heard round the world is fired, Loli blows her whistle.

VIVIR #122 Part 6

Luis enters and screams for an ambulance as Brayan runs off. A neighborhood mob arrives “up in arms” brandishing household shovels and brooms but Brayan tumbles off before they can reach him.

Cris thinks about Adolfo telling her she won’t be able to keep her secret much longer. She prays for strength and promises to fight with all her might. She doesn’t want her family to suffer. She wants to live! Por favor she prays…

Simultaneously, Adolfo does a search on how to help someone with cancer…and prayers for guidance in helping Cris.

Brayan in a panic, gathers his things to leave as (dumb or dumber can’t remember and don’t care which) asks what happened..

Angel and JE kiss passionately. Angel worries that her mother will fall prey to Rebeca again. JE assures her they won’t trust Rebeca or Misael and consequently, they won’t be able to go on their honeymoon yet.

Rebeca is wide awake, harkening back to the wedding. She thinks JE and Angel must be laughing at her…but vows Angel hasn’t defeated her! She wonders where Misael hid the evidence.

The sun rises as fluffy clouds part high in the sky.

VIVIR #122 Part 7 of 7

Rufino tells Misael that the job is done…Santi will no longer be a problem. A hint of a smile plays around Misael’s lips.

Elena asks Mari to call Santi to breakfast but Mari tells her he didn’t return home last night. “Como?” Elena exclaims.

Misael tells Rufino he did a good job but warns him to keep quiet. Rufino then tells Misael that Bruno couldn’t have killed Monica since he was in the neighborhood; after he returned to his apartment the police immediately arrived. Misael asks why Monica was having Bruno followed but Rufino doesn’t know…he just knows Bruno went in after “the kid, Domingo’s daughter!” Misael processes.

JE has to rush off to the company and Angel is headed to the restaurant. She gets the call from Elena who asks if she knows where Santi is. “No mother why?”

In the last scene, we see Santi lying on the ground where a small crowd including the police has gathered. It appears Santi isn’t dead…but heavily overdosed.

Rgv Chick’s sterling dialogue translations were smooth as silk and added so much to what transpired today. Her lens is unfailingly sharp and all encompassing; I am so grateful and appreciative.

Vivir. Thank you as usual for the excellent recap, Diana and Rgv Chick! And the snark is back! I really liked "cyclone Rebeca." Yep! And "Wide-eyed Rebeca who is subbing for Romina today." Since I thought Santiago really was dead (he isn't?), I was thinking that novelas don't seem to have as much poetic justice as in the past. Santiago (unlike Mauricio) doesn't deserve to be killed. And if he is dead, then Misael is irredeemable. I didn't see the first episodes, but from what I have learned from later ones, Dulce's death could possibly be charged as manslaughter and Mauricio was extremely evil. Santi, otoh, had turned his life around and did not deserve to be killed. I hope he wasn't! It was pretty stupid of him to agree to meet with Misael outdoors, though. I loved how Renato turned those graffiti into a positive--and increased the number of customers at the the same time. Take that, Iker! I also loved the scene of Lucas and Mati dancing, with her in her wheelchair. It was incredibly moving when Lupe protected Lucas's life with her own. I hope Brayan gets his quickly! And of course I hope Lupe survives. What a lot of suspense left pending at the end of this episode!

Diana, thank you and thanks to Rgv Chick for another great recap. A great recap, but not a fun episode.

I was hoping against hope that Santi would survive, and maybe he has. If so, he must be in a really sad state or Misael would still be in danger. I'm hoping Santi is messed up but recoverable and will recover with time. But he could be dead. The cop said something about another dead addict, but he hadn't yet checked Santiago.
What it was that Misael had Rufino do, kill him or just incapacitate him for now, I think will factor into Misael's anvil when it drops. He should also get a small indulgence for being in love with Bad Mad Becky.

Poor Sandra is also in a bad way. Lupe is shot. More grief for Elena. Definitely not a fun episode.

But Cris was very good with Sebas, giving her blessing for him to not just live in the past but to pursue his new love. And his new love really likes to enliven the party :-)

If Becky can sweat she is probably doing a little sweating now.

So... no service for Monica at all? Will we ever see Yadhira again?

I hope things start getting better tomorrow through the end of this novela. I was a little hesitant about this novela at the start, but it has really grown on me, especially a few characters. Not the two main characters, I'm sorry to say, but whatever.

Diana, let me also say that at first I just got a kick out of your fashion reports but did not actually take them seriously or even read them sometimes. Things have changed, I actually enjoy them now and learn a little, especially about colors. I also enjoy Susan's fashion reports, but that's a different sort of report.

Misael never intended to shoot or kill Dulce so yes, "Dulce's death could possibly be charged as manslaughter". Even though Mauricio was truly evil as you noted, Misael did kill him in cold blood. The attack he arranged on Santi was just fuel to the fire.

Thanks Diana (recap) and Rgv Chick (translations). What an action packed hour. Ya’ll left no stone unturned. MVPs: wide-eyed Reb subbing for BEIR, proud as a peacock papa Armando, Icky darkens the door (bonus: balloons = the fool’s +1. HA!), movin’ and a groovin’, dumb and dumber…don’t care which.

Misael has been threatening to destroy the incriminating documents for about 65 episodes now. Could this mean they’ll make it to the finale?

Does Mexico not have Bereavement Leave? Why in the world is Rufino working? Shouldn’t he be mourning his departed boss? Nevertheless, he’s cruising for an anvil. When it lands, it better raise his crazy deep voice three octaves.

Once Doris hacked the WiFi and played some real jams, the cast seemed to truly enjoy themselves - cutting quite the rug. Poor Doris - Sebas’ moves were rather stiff. There’s still plenty of time. Fewer spreadsheets and more samba, my good man!

Misael admitted several times in this episode that maybe Mónica wasn’t the best/most sober/loving/supportive/demure mother, but she didn’t deserve to die. He also defends Cris from Big Reb’s poisonous suggestions. Just when you start to feel sympathy for this guy and his plight, he goes and jacks it all up with his handling of Santiago (and Wanda earlier). ¡Basta, Misael! We tried to like you.

JE is making me mad trying to get Bruno released from jail. Angel told him that Bruno had raped Sandra and he’s still hoping for his release so he can catch the fraudster! This is another big step down the galan ladder IMO. He shouldn’t be trying to get a rapist released under any circumstances, but Sandra was an employee of his hacienda for how many years??? She may have grown up there and JE has zero concern for her safety? The safety of anyone else who may be on Bruno’s radar? Any loyalty or respect for Domingo??? Angel’s point about Sandra reporting Bruno is valid but JE should be trying to make sure Bruno rots like the rest of us!!!! Not jockeying for his release! He doesn’t need Bruno out of jail!

I think Santi will live. He’s almost needed in order for the truth of Dulce’s death to come to light. Reb could turn on Mis and tell the truth, but who would believe her? Santi is the best bet. And I agree with SpanProf, I think Mis could be forgiven for Dulce – it was an accident; and forgiven for Mau – he killed his child; but if Santi dies there’s no turning back. No redemption!

I’m looking forward to seeing all the fashion and looks. Vix hadn’t uploaded Monday’s episode when I looked yesterday but both episodes are uploaded this morning so I’ll get to see the whole wedding today.

On the wedding, Armando and his daughter were the MVPs cranking up that tepid reception.

No redemption for Misael. He had a moment of queasiness about killing his own father and half-sister, but it passed. Of course, regret about having Ramiro killed never crosses his mind because Ramiro was just a poor schlub who doesn't matter. Misael has been off and on about admiring Chris and resenting Chris, but bottomline he and Rebeca set up Chris to go to prison for Mauricio's murder. With his classist, entitled self Misael made a fuss about Pedrito helping out with housework because the Rivero Cuéllars are too good for that. (Don Emilio would've said all honest work is worthy.) I'm looking forward to Misael feeling like a complete idiot when Rebeca's betrayal of him is exposed.

I better comment on this before it’s time to see who lives or dies today. We have two innocent characters suffering from attempted murders and one with cancer. I hope they all survive!

Thanks to both Diana and Rgv Chick for another amazing recap. I enjoy the fashion details too. I’m not someone who dresses fashionably, when I retired I figured I’d never have to clothes shop again! So it is fun reading about their outfits.

Rebeca trying to blame Cris was crazy, but Misael and mommy dearest did try to pin Mauricio’s murder on her. Will Misael figure out on his own that Rebeca did it.

Misael did order the death of Misael. I thought the cop had said another dead adict but I hope he’s still alive. And Lupe looked bad too. Too much killing in this episode.

Brayan’s reaction was crazy. Racing off to pack and get out of town. I don’t think he would have panicked like that if he shot Lucas.

Renato saved the day! And hopefully Icky will eventually serve time in jail for coming up with papers blaming Bruno.

About Misael, I didn't necessarily think he SHOULD be redeemed, I just thought that he would be. With all of the talks about 'poor Mis he's just Monica's puppet', it just seemed like that is where the writers were going. But now with his additional crimes and attacking Santi, I no longer think they are heading that way.
 

VIVIR #123 Part 1

We see Santi lying on the ground where a small crowd including the police has gathered. It appears Santi isn’t dead…but heavily overdosed.

Lupe was rushed to the hospital and received treatment. Mercifully, the doctor informs her shocked and anxious husband and son that no vital organs were affected; Lupe can be discharged the next morning! Unfortunately they cannot remove the bullet but it won’t cause any damage to Lupe.

Lucas apologizes; he should have been the one to take the bullet. With Luis looking on gravely, Lupe tells him that she would give her life for him (and indeed, she almost did). She thanks God for letting her be there just in time. As Lucas kisses her forehead, she tells her son she loves him.

Mati asks about Luciano and Romina’s wedding. Luciano explains that they never had a church wedding since her mother never wanted one, but he doesn’t know why (viewerville wonders – is this important?) When he asks Mati and Javi if they would have a problem with him remarrying, they say absolutely not; both would be very happy if he married Fatima. Dark, ominous cloud Romina calls and asks to see the kids before they return to the hacienda; he agrees.

Marisa, Doris and Carmelo visit Lupe in the hospital. They talk about how Brayan got away and Luis comments that they are thinking of moving from the neighborhood. “Que?” Doris manages alarmed as Marisa cries out “No!!

At the hospital Lucas tells Sandra that he knows what happened to her. Sandra blanches and tells him that Bruno will be set free as JE will be helping him; Bruno should be kept there forever! After Sandra runs off, Lucas recalls seeing Bruno in “disguise”, doing his best Brayan imitation.

Misael offers Bruno a deal—take the fall for the fraud in exchange for Misael bringing forth a witness who can testify for him. Bruno uses his miniscule brain, spewing that he knows Misael and is sure he is up to something. Misael tells him Rufino was following him that day. Misael points out that it will be easier for his lawyer to get him out for fraud rather than for murder of HIS mother. (What about the rape I rage??) Bruno hits the table in frustration.

VIVIR #123 Part 2

Romina calls the pharmacy where she bought the drug for Rebeca to make sure they don’t have a video of her buying the drugs. She smiles conspiratorially, musing that now Rebeca won’t have any evidence against her…and the prescription has Rebeca’s name. She then starts to type out a letter on the computer to JE telling him about the fraud.

JE apologizes for lying to Misael about the wedding and being rude to him. Misael admonishes JE for accusing Rebeca without evidence. JE is sorry but he doesn’t believe him; he is there to talk about something else. Misael knows that Bruno is accusing him and asks if JE has evidence. JE replies that he hopes he doesn’t for his father and grandfather’s sakes, but if he does, he’ll make Misael pay everything back and vows he will never return to the company. Misael stares and purses his lips.

Angel enters the restaurant and asks Sandra if she has seen Santi but she hasn’t. Sandra looks alarmed.

Don Emilio leads a discussion with Sebas, Fatima, Cris, Adolfo and Misael about the state of the company. He tells JE that after all of this is settled, that he and Angel should take a trip. After Cris agrees, Don Emilio notices how tired Cris seems but Cris (lies) assuring him she is fine. Adolfo tries to steer the discussion back to the matter at hand.

At the restaurant, Elena is trying in vain to reach Santi as her worry escalates. Angel arrives but she has no news about Santi. Then, Angel then gets a call from the hospital. We hear her saying “yes”, he is “mi hermano” and then her voice breaks as she is informed that Santi overdosed. Elena and Gi look on in shock and horror.

Santi’s gurney is wheeled down the hospital corridor as Elena frets and cries. They doubt he would take any drugs… Then as Satan (Rebeca) slithers up Angel gets right in her face, angrily asking her what she did to Santi!

Loli is praying for Rebeca who has something wrong with her head (I’ll say, shaking mine). Marisa and Carmelo approach and asks what she means. Loli shares that Alma told he that Rebeca was born crazy.

VIVIR #123 Part 3

Rebeca denies doing anything as Elena asks she show some respect. Gi, (righteous anger flaring) physically runs her off.

Romina meets Luciano and the kids at a restaurant. Mati proudly shows her mother how she can move her leg. Romina minces no words; she came to say goodbye; she got a job out of the country (good riddance we cheer). Romina does seem to muster up some good wishes for Luciano. She gives Luciano an envelope and asks he hand deliver it directly to JE. She hugs both children who tell her they love her very much. Mati has a sad but no tears are shed.

Lucas doesn’t want to leave the neighborhood and suggests that they and their friends work together to catch Brayan. Luis suggests they contact Corral to help them (now there’s an exercise in futility!). They pile their hands on top of each other’s, all for one and one for all.

Fatima tells Luciano that they are waiting to hear from the insurance company to see how much money they will receive for the crop damage. When JE approaches, Luciano hands him Romina’s letter; Misael lurks, trying to eavesdrop.

Gabriela interrupts the meeting as the insurance rep arrives with a policeman. Don Emilio is going to be arrested for fraud!! CARAS IMPACTADAS

Gi, Elena and Angel are in the waiting room when the doctor comes and tells them that Santi is in a coma. Elena is devastated.

JE demands an explanation so the insurance rep explains that someone has to be held responsible. Misael points his finger in Fatima’s face, bitterly accusing her of causing the problem. Don Emilio tells them to stop! As Don Emilio is about to be arrested, Luciano appears, taking full responsibility and blame as he is the general administrator of the crops.

Elena is beside herself crying so Gi assures her that Santi will recover. Angel (wearing a racy, lacy ice blue number) asks to see Santi.

Misael calls Rebeca (sporting a casual green crop jacket and pants with a pink tye dye shirt); he needs to talk to her at the apartment - immediately.

Luciano tells Fatima not to worry; he will be released once they get the insurance money. Don Emilio wonders how this could be happening, Luciano is innocent! Adolfo assures him that he will find a way to get Luciano out.

As Luciano is led away, Mati and Javi (who are out in the hall) see him and start yelling in alarm, asking what happened. Fatima hugs them tightly; she will explain.

When Don Emilio asks what Luciano was doing there, JE remembers the letter. The camera pans in on Don Emilio and then Cris as JE reads the letter; in it, Romina names Misael as the person behind the fraud!

Misael quickly packs his bags.

JE will ask Sebas to look for the file Romina cited. He then takes the prescription (for the drug used on Alma) out of the folder. Just then, Corral calls Adolfo and tells him he needs to go to the station to identify the person suspected of murdering Monica!

Rebeca walks into the apartment and sees Misael getting the envelope with the evidence out of the safe. Misael puts down the envelope and lovingly laying his hands on her face, tells her they need to go on a trip; they just need to go pick up Pedrito and they will leave. He wants them to be together…he pulls out a ring and asks her to marry him. She smiles, says yes and tells Misael that they should toast to this happy occasion. While Misael goes to fetch glasses Reb grabs the envelope and runs out of the apartment as if her life depends on it.

Luciano languishes in prison.

VIVIR #123 Part 5

Misael returns with the glasses and upon seeing the envelope is missing along with Rebeca (kick yourself now, Miserable) immediately realizes she took it! “No” he mutters as he stares.

Corral shows JE, Cris, Don Emilio and Adolfo footage from the night Monica was murdered. As the mysterious bike rider alights, JE recognizes Rebeca!

Viewing of the footage continues and Adolfo also ID’s Rebeca. Don Emilio laments the loss of his Monica. Corral explains that they now have evidence but whatever else they can add will help. Cris doesn’t know why Rebeca would kill her sister. Don Emilio acknowledges that JE was right in doubting Rebeca…they should warn Misael.

Ahhh, too late as Misael FINALLY realizes that Rebeca was only close to him to get the evidence; she faked everything and didn’t love him. He harkens back and realizes JE was right; he was stupid to eat up the amnesia story. Soy un imbecil! Just then, Adolfo calls and tells him they just viewed the footage…and shows him the shot of Rebeca. No puede ser!

Rebeca is in a taxi talking to herself about the evidence. She calls Brayan so they can meet.

Misael swears he will find her …and looks at the tracking app.

Elena and Angel enter Sani’s hospital room. Elena kisses him, tells him she is his mother and urges him not to stop fighting. Angel tells him he is brave and knows he will overcome…they will never leave him alone. They will fight together. Angel rests her head on her mother’s shoulder as both shed heartbroken tears.

Fatima explains why Luciano was arrested. Mari blames her for not defending him since she knows he is innocent.

Luciano wonders how Mati and Javi are and hope they forgive him for doing this. Meanwhile, Fatima tries to explain why Luciano did it, but Mati and Javi still don’t understand. Fatima didn’t know he was going to do it…she knows how much this hurts them; she implores them to believe that she never asked Luciano to do it. Mati then fires her bow, shooting a crippling arrow into Fatima’s heart; she thinks Fatima is like her mother…but worse!

JE is now at the hospital with Angel who doesn’t doubt Rebeca could have drugged Santi. JE then tells Angel that Rebeca shot Monica. Angel feels terrible guilt for not reporting Rebeca; had she done so, Monica would still be alive!

(Unaired) Javi and Pedrito spill tea on the rug and Wanda offers to clean it up. She returned and shows them how to clean the stain.

Lucas tells Mati that Luciano wouldn’t be in jail if Brayan hadn’t ruined the crops. Mati agrees…her father is in jail because of Brayan. Lucas promises that he will not rest until Brayan pays for everything.

Fatima assures Luciano that her family won’t leave him. She appreciates what he did…and will go to the hacienda to find any evidence that will help. She tells him the kids are worried but are okay. He tells her to take care of them.

Javi helps Mati with her exercises. Mati thinks that she needs to walk now more than ever. She manages to stand for four straight seconds then sits as she and Javi smile. She now believes her father was right. Pedrito enters and tells them they have permission to go to the neighborhood. “Yes” an excited Javi says as Mati smiles.

Marisa finds the old medical report on Rebeca that shows her diagnosis (I believe it was something about mental illness if anyone can clarify, kindly do so).

Now back in the neighborhood, Pedrito bumps into Rebeca and she barks at him. When Wanda defends Pedrito, Rebeca tells him Wanda is his mother! Pedrito, in shock, stares at Wanda and then turns and runs away! Wanda calls her a vibora as an unmoved, unaffected Rebeca rummages through her bag to find her ringing phone.

Adolfo talks to Memo, offering him a deal in exchange for info on Brayan. Memo sneers that he is no snitch. Adolfo urges him to think about it.

Rebeca arrives at Brayan’s hideout. “Princesa” Rebeca tells Brayan that she needs to see what is on the USB.

Misael swears he will find the “maldita traicionera”.

Rebeca and Brayan watch the video…the “famosa Dulce” Rebeca sneers, watching coldly and impassively as Dulce is shot. Rebeca thinks she now has Misael in the palm of her hand.

Angel arrives at the police station and as JE stands by her side, states she is there to file a report against Rebeca Sanchez for kidnapping.

Anvils are swaying precariously in the breeze and a few are escaping their tethers.…Hidden truths and sins are boiling away and bubbling to the surface.

I am especially grateful to Rgv Chick today for her masterful dialogue translations and supplying superb Spanish vocabulary. Despite the frenetic pace, she conveyed everything clearly and concisely. Her wordsmithing is simply superior. Thank you!

Whenever Reb Is rummaging through that enormous totebag for her cellphone , I always feel like she has absolutely nothing else in that big bag because she finds that phone immediately....unlike me.

So, when and how did Lucas discover that Bryan put something in the water .? If everybody knows, why was DE going to be arrested and then Luciano told them to arrest him instead. More later. Susan

It's beginning to look like Misael and Rebeca will kill each other in the finale now that he knows she was using him. One could almost pity him.

With seven episodes left we have to hope Romina doesn't get off scot free.

Mental illness my Aunt Fanny. Rebeca is pure evil.

It was especially necessary for this episode, which otherwise might have been quite confusing, especially regarding the arrest--for insurance fraud? Bizarre. Well, 2 mysteries from yesterday's episode are now solved. Santi isn't dead, though in a coma, and Lupe will be ok, though with a bullet lodged in her tissue--which the doctors don't think is necessary to remove. (Was that a psa or a foreshadowing?). The suspense about whether Santi will live or die could go on for quite some time. If Luciano and Romina had had a Church wedding, they would have had to get a Church annulment as well as a secular divorce. This way, Luciano and Fatima are free to have a Church wedding without additional complications. Yep, anvils are approaching for Rebeca, Misael and Bruno. Hope they accelerate! Unfortunately, Angelli has the wrong villain for Santi's "overdose"--it's Misael, not Rebeca. If Rufino is caught, I hope he makes that clear. Btw, I loved Angelli's blue dress. Luciano made a very noble gesture, taking responsibility for Brayan's crime of ruining the crops, but, really, none of the business members should be arrested for something that was so clearly the work of a vandal. Hope Wanda and Pedrito bond quickly!

As Brayan hasn't been arrested and charge for poisoning the well so to speak, I would suspect the insurance company just wants someone charged. It was ludicrous that they came to arrest Don Emilio but then took sacrificial lamb Luciano. Guess any ole' body will do. :)

I used to have bags as big as Becca's but could never find anything so donated them all and bought a few much smaller, much more practical ones!

Romina has made a relatively minor character much of our focus, hasn't she? When Luciano informed the children Romina hadn't wanted a church wedding, it was that which struck me as odd. I immediately went "there" - was Romina already married? is there something from her past she's hiding? All I know is that (and I think we need to give the actress credit here) I'm suspicious now of everything she says and does. There might be nothing to the fact she and Luciano married in a civil ceremony but...

Beanies in order for the insurance fraud. I thought it was about not meeting a payment on a loan, which also would seem improbable to be jailed for, but this is life in telenovela land.

Nobody mentioned that Misael has a phone tracker on Rebeca's phone. He's going to find her in no time. Brayan now also knows about him killing Dulce, so he'll either be killed or give Misael up in exchange for reduced jail time. Santi is not entirely needed to get that truth out anymore.

Rebeca talking to herself and calling Brayan in the taxi cab may have given the driver some info against her.

The fact that Angelli is pressing charges against Rebeca will hopefully give Sandra the courage to denounce Bruno.

Regarding the civil ceremony of Romina and Luciano (BTW I did not catch on to that dialogue at all so thanks Diana and Rgv) I haven't seen much piousness from Romina so maybe she is an atheist or non Catholic. Or she was in a rush to get married and didn't want to wait for the pre cana counseling a Catholic wedding entails. I personally feel it is just a plot twist to drive a marriage and HEA between Luciano and Fatima in the final episode, because we all know there has to be a wedding in the end and she caught the bouquet. Of course it may be Doris and Sebastian getting hitched.

Thank you, Diana, for another fantastic recap of what sounds like an exciting episode!! They are certainly ramping up the plot lines in preparation for the final episodes and you described the momentum perfectly!

I will be so disgruntled if Romina gets to just skip off, abandoning her children once again, into the sunset!!!! It’s the best thing that could happen to Mati and Javi but of course they can’t understand that. You make a good point about the actress though, she was definitely effective! I often have a hard time recognizing the acting of villains that I hate, because I hate them!! LOL But she must be knocking it out of the park, because I hate her more than just about anyone else here, including Rebecca!!! I might hate Bruno more, but I won’t attribute that to acting but rather to character actions and the vile rape of Sandra. On the note of not recognizing the ability of characters you hate; it reminds me of Tierra de Reyes. I rewatched that one because I loved it! Fabian Rios played the villain and the first time viewing it I didn’t think much about him at all as I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen with so many other characters. Rewatching it, there’s no suspense of course because you know what’s going to happen and so I guess you just notice different things, but I cracked up at Fabian’s performance the entire 2nd time through, he was hilarious!!

I’m all in for a big dramatic Misael vs. Rebeca showdown! I think that’s a fitting ending – one dies and the other goes to jail or to a padded room if it’s Becky who survives. I could see that ending, massive showdown and ultimately Mis dies saving Pedrito from Beca? Or Mis kills Becky and goes to jail. With only 7 more episodes we’ll know soon!

I don’t understand why Brayan is so hard to trap! It should be a lot easier than it is, Corral and company make him look like a criminal mastermind instead of a punk kid with few friends and limited resources. I can’t remember which is which, is Memo the one in jail? If so, maybe Axel would be willing to turn on Brayan, he did not look happy with Brayan hanging Memo out to dry. I never could figure out the loyalty of either of these guys to Brayan, he doesn’t have the charismatic manipulation that it usually takes to inspire such devotion. Nor the massive piles of dinero that would otherwise do it. Those boys really just have to be bored with nothing better to do!

I was pleasantly surprised that Rebeca was so recognizable in the video. Corral needs to get on the ball. All her criminals will be gathered in the same place-with lots of evidence!

The arrest of Luciano was kind of crazy. You can just volunteer to go in place of someone!

One could almost feel sorry for Misal, not for being fooled by Rebeca, but for realizing he’s the dumbest in the family.

I hope Wanda and Pedro can work out their problem. I thought he’d be happy to have found his mother.

I had the same thought about Rebeca talking in the taxi. When the scene was finished I thought maybe she was talking to herself and not out loud.

I’m glad our cliffhanger victims are still alive. I will miss this show when it ends but I’m sure Diana and Rgv Chick will feel relief.

Kat, good point in that Brayan also knows Misael killed Dulce. As Santi was there and witnessed it, he is either the greatest asset or liability depending on what side the character is on :). I agree that Fatima and Luciano are definitely headed for marriage; she did catch the bouquet as you noted!

Susan, I would also like to see Doris and Sebas and Cris and Adolfo tie the knot. Many potentially beautiful brides here...

And having "Mis die saving Pedrito from Beca" would be a blockbuster ending! I am reeling from everything that is transpiring at such a frenetic pace and can't wait to see how all of this plays out...

Romina running off could be " ...the best thing that could happen to Mati and Javi but of course they can’t understand that". You phrased that so well as girls do indeed need their mothers, clearly evidenced by Mati's yearning for Romina. The tragedy is of course that Romina does not appreciate her daughter and is missing out on one of life's most precious relationships.

Memo (Thing 1) is the one in jail. I like your idea of Axel turning on Brayan who clearly has no honor among or for his fellow thieves.

I'm sure Pedrito is going to come around and accept Wanda but I suspect it is going to take Don Emilio's kind intervention to make it so.

I'm also happy Lupe and Santi survived their respective attacks.

I am also going to miss this very much when it ends; what an amazing patio we've had. At least we have 7 more epis to look forward to!!

I loved petite Gi physically running off Rebeca.

"Angel (wearing a racy, lacy ice blue number) ..." That outfit was strange attire for Angel if she was on her way to work, before the call about Santi.

I'm surprised Rebeca didn't string Misael on longer.

I stared at Angels lace top. Then, I thought that the lace might have been packed by a beige colored fabric that looked skintone like dance recital costumes my daughters had and skating outfits . Maybe we were not seeing skin. Susan

Diana & Company, thank you for another fun and helpful recap! Wednesday was an unusually busy day for me and I didn't get a chance to watch the recorded episode or comment until late. Just a very few quick comments for now.

Well, it's probably a good thing that Luciano and Romina never had a church wedding, depending on just how Catholic the people involved are. Unless things have changed, the Catholic Church does not accept civil divorces as the dissolution of a church wedding. And there might be more to this, time will tell, but with shady Romina anything is possible.
