Esperanza and Demon talked, first about Helena, then he asked about what else was going on in the office.

Edgar started flirting with Maggie, but it was obvious to any smart eyes that he had an ulterior motive.

Fabrizio and Patricia talked about the lies. He tried to get her to back off. Apparently her first marriage was “false.” [I didn't catch the rest].

Angel came home to see Anita and Helena working together at the kitchen table. He took off his shirt and she was obviously impressed with what that revealed.

Carmelita told Aurora about Rocha's death.

Patricia told Fabrizio that JC had nothing to do with any of this. She tried to get Fabrizio into bed but he declined. Her next seduction attempt flopped.

Before leaving the Santos home Helena tried to give Vicki some money. She would not accept it, saying that Pascual would provide.

Aurora tried to call JC but he did not answer. He was out drinking with Aquiles and Glorio.

Antonio was in a business discussion when Fabrizio got to the office.

Jezabel offered some wine to Luis, who tried to decline because of his medications. She persisted, finally succeeding as he started talking about working, buying a house, and JC marrying Aurora.

Antonio was having problems with constructions conditions.

Luis likely had too much to drink and expressed concern about Aurora and JC. Jezabel started kissing him -[as we all repair to the vomitorium].

Pascual made it home with the test results. Angel was there to help him not fall down.

Aurora saw the TV news report about Rocha's death and his crimes.

Pascual cried as he told Angel about Vicki's illness. As Angel helped him out of the room the envelope remained on the table.

Demon went to Helena to get her to reconcile, ringing weapons: a rose and an engagement ring. Her acceptance of his proposal; was lukewarm at best. He started talking about planning the wedding and telling their families. She looked like she knew she was making a mistake. Patricia – who had been eavesdropping at the open door – entered all enthused.

By this time Pascual's drunken state really showed. Angel tried to get him to agree to say nothing to Victoria until she had seen the doctor.

Jezabel gave Luis some orange juice to wipe out the alcohol odor. They started kissing again but he stopped it and got up, saying he needed to go home as his father was expecting him.

Aurora tried to call JC but he did not answer.

Antonio was concerned about the emissions and other things of environmental impact. Aurora called him and told him of Rocha's death, As soon as she mentioned the crimes he said he would be right over. He hung up before she could say any more.

JC and the others were three sheets to the wind and making jokes about the single life being better than being in love.

Vicki came home talking about her day. She saw the envelope on the table. Angel told her she had to see the doctor the next day. She tried to put this off but Angel became adamant on this.

El Morro went to Pintas to talk about their dirty cell phone business. Pintas gave him a thick wad of cash.

Jezabel texted Edgar saying she was with Demon. Edgar was at Maggie's, but told her he had to go. She had just put out a table-full of food.

Demon was at Helena's home and preparing to leave. Helena thought to herself that she had just made the best decision, but her face said otherwise.

Antonio told Aurora there would soon be new information. She was still astonished that o all those years nothing was right. He told her he had to go to Cancun on business the next day but he would always be there for her. [The old flame is still alive and well].

Helena looked at the book Antonio had on love as Angel prayed for Vicki.

Antonio and Aurora moved toward the door and both became sure that Angel was sent to them.

Jezabel told herself she would find Aurora's son and deliver him to her sister... dead.

Aquiles, Glorio, and JC arrived at the Campero residence with a guitar and some very drunken singing. When Aurora stepped outside Antonio was behind her.

I don't understand why JC hangs around getting Drunk with the two young guys who were supposed to be his son's companions .Meanwhile, Jez, the wicked witch who likes young dudes, is giving Luis wine and trying to seduce him .

The actress playing Helena isn't very animated. She doesn't change her facial expression, so I don't know what she is feeling. Susan


 

Angel/Aurora

Thanks Urban, I enjoyed your recap. I can’t believe Helena accepted Demon’s proposal. She didn’t even tell him she loves him just quiero. I hope the wedding never happens.

Aurora and Antonio both thing Angel was sent to them. I wonder if they’ll ever think he might be Gabriel.

Jezabel is horrible. Trying to seduce Luis was bad but I thought it was really awful when he told her he shouldn’t drink because of his medication and she encouraged him anyway.

I hope Vicki survives, I hate to think of Anita losing her mother.

I’m glad Aurora knows the detective was not helping her. Hopefully Antonio’s guy can give them a picture of what Gabriel looks like now.

Angel /Aurora #30

I think JC needed the company of anyone he could hang with at that moment but may not have anticipated getting wasted. I think he will be very embarrassed when he sees Aurora in today's episode.

I agree about not wanting to see Anita lose her mother. Vicki is a model mother and a good wife.

Considering the length of the previous version I think there will be at least one marriage that should not happen. My money is on Demon and Helena unless Antonio can stop it. There is so much potential for disaster between the two harpies who want it to happen and the fact that Demon is a serious control freak. Since Mexican marriage laws have the potential to screw around with existing assets and maybe future inheritances she could lose everything. Jezabel will want to kill her to get anything Antonio put in her name and she will also want to kill him knowing that Aurora never stopped loving him. She is as evil as it gets.
 

Angel/Aurora. Totally agree about Jezabel in your excellent recap/analysis, Urban! And Liz, I too don't understand why Helena accepts Demian's proposal. Could it be a way to remove the temptation of Angel who isn't in her social class? The scene of the shirtless Angel "tempting" Helena was pretty funny. We now have 2 medical crises in need of a lot of money: Vicki's cancer treatment and Rolos' eye surgery. Presumably someone will come through with it--no doubt after a lot of tension. Too bad Vicki didn't accept Helena's money. Will she read the test results? Who has really put an end to Antonio's project? Jezabel? And Jezabel now has plans to kill Gabriel (who she presumably doesn't know is Angel). Horrendous!

JC's jealousy came out. Aquiles and Glorio got him out of there.


The Next Morning

El Morro caught Rolando in Pintas' hovel. He tried to run out but El Morro opened his backpack and asked questions about the cell phones.

Helena told Antonio she had a breakfast date with Demon. She told him about the proposal and he told her she could not marry him because she loved Angel.

IC had a wicked hangover. Aurora arrived saying they should end their relationship.

Vicki ran into Pintas on the street. He began spilling the beans about her illness. She fainted into Angel's arms. Angel shouted to him to call an ambulance. Pintas just watched and walked away.

Luis tried to get Aurora to leave but JC sent him out of the room. He and Surora began talking.

Antonio and Helena talked about her decision. Before leaving the house Antonio said he hoped that Demon was the man of her life.

Rolando recalled a conversation in which El Morro tried to warn him about Pintas.

JC seemed to be sobering up as he told Aurora he loved her and didn't want to lose her. After she told him that everyone she had loved has let her down he wanted to take care of her.

Vicki was wheeled into the ER as Angel begged Dr Rubio to save her.

Patricia tried to get Briana out of bed, angry at recent events. She pulled Briana's hair, demanding she tell Antonio that it was herself in the photo. Briana screamed for Antonio and Helena.

Pascual, Anita, and Pintas ran into the hospital. Upon seeing Anita Dr Rubio said that Vicki fainted due to not having eaten. Angel realized this was a lie and went after Pintas about this. Pintas tried lying his way out of this.

Briana looked into the mirror on her vanity and said “Someday you will pay, Mother,” and began cutting her hair.

Edgar entered Jezabel's office [I did not hear why].

Aurora told JV about Rocha. Cassandra watched them. Antonio entered, telling Aurora he canceled his business trip and he had to be with her.

Esperanza asked Helena if she had ever loved two men at the same time. Helena said she hadn't but she did not know what to do, She all but confessed that she loved Angel. A secretary came in to tell her that Angel was with his mother in the hospital.

JC and Luis talked, Luis telling his father that “she does not love you.” JC asked where he had heard this and he answered that he heard this in the office. Jezabel arrived and repeated this. JC looked suspicious. Helena came in to say she had to go because of Angel and Vicki.

Vicki was hooked up to a monitor. She tried to get Pascual to tell her everything. She told him Angel should be told the whole truth, that they were being selfish by not having done so.

Demon told Jezabel about the engagement. In return she needled him about Angel. After a bit more cruelty she suggested they “make Angel disappear.”

Helena, Aurora, and Antonio arrived at the hospital. Both Antonio and Aurora hugged Angel. Helena saw this. Poor Angel thought Vicki was dying. Pintas walked out. Angel thanked Helena, who was hugging Anita. Pascual came out and told Angel that Vicki wanted to see him. Both Aurora and Antonio offered money to help.

JC wanted to know where Aurora was. Cassandra told him she left with Antonio and Helena. Lois laughed and JC slapped him.

Demon did not seem disturbed by Jezabel's reference to death but when he mentioned Pintas she lost it, telling him never to say that name again.

Patricia laughed at the ruckus in the reception area, commenting on JC having hit his son. [This bitch will use that against him because of him being Aurora's protector].

Demon seemed amused at the thought of killing Angel. Jezabel told him to be careful because “you can get killed in the barrio.

Cassandra tried to explain to Jezabel that every parent has problems with their kids. When her name came up later JC went in search of Aquiles and Glorio.

Aurora said that Angel was very special and that his parents were good people. Antonio introduced himself to Pascual.

Helena flashed back to childhood. [Was Patricia in that scene?].

Pascual was on the verge of telling Aurora and Antonio the truth.

Luis went to Aquiles and Glorio calling Aurora a harpy. They were quick to correct him.

Angel told Vicki she had to live to see grandchildren. When he mentioned Aurora and Antonio she looked thoughtful, like she was about to tell him.

Pascual was almost there with Aurora and Antonio.

Angel/Aurora. Another great recap, Urban! So, is El Morro not aware of Pintas' thievery? At least he does something good in warning Rolas about Pintas. I'm waiting for the day when Briana fights back against Patricia. Let's hope Patricia does pay. And speaking of pay, I'm so glad that both Aurora and Antonio offered to pay for Vicki's treatment. And oh no! Will Jezabel try to kill Angel? I wouldn't put it past her.
 

Thanks Urban. Great recap , so many things seemed to be happening in this episode.

I thought the picture was of Briana with Patricia and the dad. Did Patricia have a family before Briana entered her life?

I like Luis less and less. The only thing he has against Aurora is that JC likes her.

What Pintas did to Vicky was horrible. I thought of that saying, with friends like this who needs enemies. Then he walks off but then shows up at the hospital.

I hope Vicki and Pascual do tell Angel but it’s kind of soon.

I thought that was Patricia when he was comforting Helena. But it seemed her mom had just died. So Patricia moved fast!

I think she would even though she doesn't seem to know that he is Aurora's son. He is Demon's rival fir Helena and I believe that Jezabel and her hellspawn want to relieve her of all her assets.

Let's also remember that she gets off on the misery of others.

Patricia is a mystery. Evidently she is so abusive to Brianna because she is not her birth mother, so....did Pat marry Brianna's father and become Briana's wicked, wicked stepmother ,and then Pat married Antonio and became Helena's crazy, wicked stepmother???? Susan

I think this is it. Patricia has no maternal feelings and she has played the Wicked Stepmother at least twice in real life. Briana would not be half the bitch she is if Patricia had treated her decently. Her problem is that she has put up with the masquerade so long that nobody is likely to believe the truth right now.
