Part 1 of 3
Just as Pascual was about to do the big reveal Angel came out to say that Vicki was better. Angel thanked them and sat down next to Helena, who also offered to help. Pascual thought himself a coward, realizing that Angel deserved to know the truth. He silently asked God's forgiveness, then Angel's
Luis looked bad enough that Aquiles and Glorio were saying they could not allow him to relapse. They saw that he didn't want to talk to JC, who then told them he needed to talk to them.
Patricia told Jezabel they needed to talk about their children. She flashed back to a fight between Helena and Briana when Briana grabbed Helen's doll from her. She broke up the fight as Briana told lied and Helena called her out on it. Patricia had not listened and got bitten for this. She said that Helena was very foolish. Patricia wanted Jezabel to help her plan things for the wedding. She herself wanted to sing Ave Maria. Jezabel looked mildly amused at that [Do tell, Jezabel; is Patricia also tone-deaf?].
Pintas went home to find El Morro who confronted him about corrupting the youth in the barrio. Pintas was not affected by this, telling his reflection to get tougher with Rolando.
Demon and Edgar talked about Jezabel. Demon mentioned her intent to murder a “naco.” Edgar tried to be blasé about this but Demon acted like he was laughing at him. He then threatened him with death if he spilled to anyone.
Aurora, Antonio, and Helena talked about the fallout of Rocha's death, Aurora recorded a video for Helena to post on social media.
Aurora and Antonio went to her place to find JC waiting for her. Antonio got a call from his client (Jimenez) regarding their project. JC was to handle the legal aspects of it.
Vicki came home from the hospital and neighbors came in to check up on her. They were willing to help with dinero and Doña Maru gave her medicinal tea.
El Morro told Maggie to watch out for Pintas vis a vis Rolando.
JC looked at the apparently sleeping Luis, saying he would never leave him. Luis actually was awake at that moment.
Rolando tried to lie his way out of this. She sensed that something was not right. El Morro left and she questioned Rolando. He said that Juventino gave him money for his operation and “that's all.” Maggie was suspicious.
At lunch time everyone in the office was enjoying tacos de canasta in the reception area except for Demon, who walked through. Briana – whose hair looked no different – watched him, looking a little apprehensive.
Antonio drove while JC and Aurora rode in the back. She dreamed of her father taking Gabriel away, a nightmare she had multiple times before. They were near Las Flores.
Angel brought a tray of tacos to Helena's office. She felt awkward as she stood up and told him she was going to marry Demon. He would not believe it. When he assumed it was their class difference she told him that this was never the case; it was his betrayals with her sister. He finally walked out saying he didn't need her either.
Part 2 of 3
Jezabel and Demon left the office. Pintas was on his way toward her. Demon did not miss this.
Aurora was upset as they stopped at the unfinished house.
Demon asked Pintas who he was. He replied “I am an old friend of your mother.” Demon ID'd him as Pintas but he said “No; I am Juventino Macias.”
Inside the house was an old man named Lucio whom Antonio recognized from 30 years earlier. Lucio said it was to the day that his friend Juventino disappeared from there. Aurora remembered him as Lucio mentioned the crime that had taken place.
When Pintas emptied he had been with women like Jezabel Demon ordered hi to leave. He would not at first. Demon saw Pintas for what he was and Pintas said “If you need me, send for me.” as he left. Jezabel warned Demon about him.
Aurora asked Lucio if he remembered Juventino's full name. Lucio thought back to that night but did not. His daughter, Ursula, came in to get him. She explained to the others; it sounded like he might be in the early stages of dementia. Antonio explained to her that he had been trying to remember something that was related to a crime.
Angel told Helena about how different his youth had been from hers. He was trying to change for her. She was more concerned more about his betrayal with Briana. He tried to explain that Briana made all the first moves, but to no avail. This ultimately ended with both of them crying as soon as he was out the door and had closed it.
Lucio had not recognized Antonio or Aurora but Arturo introduced himself to Ursula and Aurora told her who she was. Ursula began leading her father out. Aurora followed and apologized, saying that the questions were about the possibility of her father having to talk to the local police. Ursula said she understood, but that her father was very ill, physically but not mentally.
Demon would not let this go and continued to question Jezabel about Pintas. He was sure she was going to lie again. He would not believe that Pintas/Juventino was “an old friend.” Cassandra entered to say something about a lawyer named Reynoso and Jezabel grabbed her purse to leave over an allegedly forgotten breakfast meeting.
JC concluded that Ursula would not be of any help but they realized that the local police would have Juventino's name on something.
Jezabel scolded Pintas on the phone for daring to come to the office building. He was not bothered by this; only determined to get more dinero out of her.
Part 3 of 3
Demon went to Helena's office. He made his usual classist remarks about the tacos and Angel, wrinkling his nose and disparaging Angel's goodness of heart.
Briana approached Angel at his desk to ask about Vicki. When he explained that they could not tell her everything about her condition she asked how then could she know what treatment she needed. She offered to help.
Demon and Helena were outside and saw Pintas entering Jezabel's car, which Helena recognized. After it pulled out Helena asked Demon how things were with his dad. He answered “Badly. I hope the doctor has a solution.” Worse yet, Angel and Briana came out of the building. Angel ran over to Helena with Briana running after him.
Aquiles and Glorio went to JC's and tried to get Luis out of bed. They could not get him to wake up, then shouted for the nurse.
Demon got snooty with Angel but could not provoke him to violence. He verbally bluffed his way through this. However, Demon's verbal stabs annoyed both sisters.
Antonio looked through his files and found the original plans to the house. JC found the payroll records just as his phone rang. A male voice then informed him of Luis Alberto's death.
It's on this page because of the lateness.
I knew something big and bad would happen here and in a few minutes we will see how Jezabel blames Aurora for it.
Urban, thank you for delivering every moment as we spin forward.
Yikes. I didn't realize that Luis had died . Was it from the wine Jez pushed on him combining with his meds.
Patricia needs a job or a hobby . She inserts herself into everyone's business. What a pest. Susan
Wow I can’t believe Luis is dead. He might be just drugged. I assumed it was either Aquiles or Glorió that called.
They are making real headway in discovering who the rapist is. And Pintos will be helping them along if he keeps showing up and announcing his name.
If I were Helena I would have ended it with Demon when he was being so nasty to Angel, again!
I was surprised that El Morrow was bothered by Pintas using Rolando. Maybe he’s not so bad.
Thanks for the great recap, Urban.
Liz
Perhaps El Morro had also been corrupted by Pintas and he now sees the error of his own ways. This would be a good thing.
Helena definitely should have ditched Demon ages ago.
I will be typing #33 shortly but it will not be that detailed.
This is also to say that I will not be home to watch this on Monday, so if there are no volunteers to stand in for me I will have to get to the episode on Tuesday either on my cable company's website or on Vix. The episodes are posted on those at the same time in the AM. Wikipedia does not have episode info beyond Ep 30.
Part 1 of 3
It was Glorio's voice on the phone. Aquiles took the phone away from him and told JC he needed to come home toute suite. Luis was not dead.
Vicki told Pascual that Pintas was no longer welcome in their house because he is bad news,
The encounter between Angel and Demon ended with Angel telling Demon to value Helena/ Demon had a show of his (possession) and said to Helena as they left that he wanted to talk with his father.
JC told Antonio and Aurora to get back to Lucio but they did not leave. Aquiles and Glorio were arguing, Aquiles saying they were in the soup over this.
Jezabel confronted Pintas, finally threatening to kill him if he got out of line again.
Angel and Briana were in a café with him telling her that Helena believed there was something between them. Esperanza entered and sat at the table behind Briana. She said she was not as well-off as Helena and that Helena was marrying Demon because of their similarity in class and assets. “But I can marry for love.” Patricia then called her, demanding to see her and saying she was in her office. Briana ended the call, put some cash on the table, and Angel told her he was paying. She took the money back and left.
Jezabel basically told Pintas she had no further use for him. He countered with a threat to reveal all to Aurora.
At JC's house Dr Mendiola called JC to tell him that Luis would require special care. The meds could have had a bad chemical reaction and Luis could have relapsed into a coma all over again. He was waiting for JC to come home. [There should be a follow-up with lab results about the meds].
Esperanza sat at Angel's table and they talked. She asked him about him and Aurora.
Patricia tried to get money out of Briana who told her she didn't have any. Patricia called her a liar and raised her arm to hit her. Briana grabbed her by the wrist and escaped her reach by going to the other side of the desk. She asked “Why have you never loved me?” [She is a narcissist, Briana. They are incapable of love.]
Demon and Helena went to Fabrizio's room. Demon and Fabrizio embraced. Demon apologized to Fabrizio about the other day. Helena tried to excuse herself but Demon insisted she stay. He told his father that they were to marry and wanted him there. Helena excused herself to make them something to eat.
Angel told Esperanza that Cassandra had said something and then realized that Cassandra was a huge gossip. Esperanza remembered the time that Aurora's baby was taken and began telling Angel about it.
Part 2 of 3
Rolando and Anita confronted Pintas. Anita kicked him.
Patricia pulled a Giorgio Germont on Angel, ordering him to stay away from Briana and insulting him for not being of (what she thought was) her class. Briana arrived and stopped this before it got any worse.
Fabrizio was happy about the pending marriage. He suggested Acapulco for the honeymoon and they seemed to like the idea. Fabrizio knew that their reconciliation angered Jezabel and Demon told him not to worry about it.
Anita told her parents about the encounter with Pintas. Angel told them that he and Helena were no longer a couple.
Jezabel put a large photo of herself and Aurora – in their younger years – in the spot that once held the photo of their father. “No more pictures of Papa,” she said. A few minutes later Aurora told her what she had found out in Las Flores.
Patricia and Briana came home, arguing. Fabrizio, Demon, and Helena heard it and ran out in time to see Patricia slapping Briana. Finally Helena said she had been slapping both of them since childhood. Antonio then appeared, shouting at Patricia for hitting his daughters and ordered her out of the house [He needs to add this to the grounds for divorce so this gets into court]. When she protested that he could not kick her out of her house he reminded her that the house is in Helena's name. Helena said she would tolerate no more violence in it.
Part 3 of 3
Patricia threatened to take Antonio to the cleaners and she counter-threatened to destroy his reputation. Fabrizio told her she would be better off leaving. Antonio hugged his daughters and apologized for his blindness in not having seen this before.
Jezabel pretended to be happy for Aurora who told her they found important information. She invited Jezabel to help [Those hard-copy documents are likely to go up in flames].
Luis woke as JC tried to question Aquiles and Glorio. They told JC that nothing was up. [If you caught the doctor's lines, please fill us in].
Aurora tried to get Jezabel to help. Jezabel said she had kept things from her “to protect you.” Patricia called Jezabel, who put her on speaker as she accused Aurora of being responsible for Antonio's latest demand. Jezabel told Patricia off in front of Aurora but left the room after this call to talk to Demon to tip him off about Aurora's discovery in Las Flores.
I can't imagine that Patricia's antics aren't working against her at the studio. If I were the producer of her novela I would have killed off her character by now with no operatic death scene.
JC should put Luis in a facility. Even if he took care of him FT that would not be enough. The boy needs to be surrounded by mental health professionals and as far away from Jezabel as possible. Aquiles and Glorio need to spill the beans on this now if Luis is to survive.
Aurora is going back into Stupid Mode as Jezabel wins this round. Despite how fast everything else is happening it is too early for the big reveal.
Thanks Urban, another great recap.
I can’t believe Aurora is once again being so trusting of Jezabel. I was worried Jezabel would harm the old man and his daughter. Does Pintad realize Jezabel is dangerous? I think he considers himself a tough guy.
I’m glad Angel made it clear to Esperanza that he and Aurora aren’t an item. That was a crazy rumor.
Loved Anita kicking Pintas. Also glad Antonio finally threw Patricia out. I can’t believe it took him this long to find out she was hitting them. They should have told him a long time ago.

Darcy, Liz, SpanProf, Susan, UA & Co.,: Remember this Telenovela from back in the day ?
I'm currently watching today's 2-HR episode: Diana & Eduardo were getting their freak on at the waterfall or river. Surprised they didn't get caught LOL.
Kay, thanks for letting me know about Nadie, with everything preempted it was hard to tell what ended and what was just not shown because of preemption.
Darcy, no problem. Autocorrect changes lots of things on me. With so many daytime shows I figured I would give you a heads up on something that ended. I quite enjoyed Nadie, too bad nobody else was watching it to discuss it with me.
Part 1 of 3
Aquiles and Glorio disagreed on to tell or not to tell JC about Luis and Jezabel.
Luis told JC he felt bad when he slapped him. JC apologized. However, he felt manipulated. Luis denied having manipulated him to get attention. JC told him that Aurora was important to him and pat of the family he wants to create. Luis did not look receptive.
Antonio apologized to Helena because of the suffering she endured due to his mistakes and blindness. He wanted to help her get her life together before she married Demon. She was alright and they hugged.
Demon entered Briana's room and they were at odds from his first remark about the sources of violence in her life. She told him to leave. He told her to watch out for her crazy mother. She didn't want any more of his games or lies. He got her to admit to being in love with Angel.
Aurora was still in shock over Patricia's violence toward her daughters. Jezabel said “Some women aren't born to be mothers” [Gee, how does she know that?]. Aurora said that Patricia was a disaster. Jezabel returned to her efforts to get Aurora to trust her again.
Pintas wanted to use Rolando to get information. El Morro did not fight this.
JC asked Aquiles and Glorio about the woman who had caught Luis' eye. They denied knowing anything, but JC had a bad vibe about this. He sensed that they were disquieted at his questions.
The Next Day
Vicki and Angel stood in the church, silently thanking Jesus. He asked for her cure while she asked that Aurora not learn the truth as long as she remained alive.
Jezabel talked to a private investigator. She handed her a folder containing what she said was the truth, now known only to the dead.
JC's bad vibe hit its target as he concluded that Aquiles and Glorio were lying. A thought or two later he figured out that it was Jezabel.
Antonio and Fabrizio talked about charges against Patricia. Demon claimed surprise at Patricia's behaviour. Helena was not sure that Briana would be of any help against her. Briana came down to breakfast and sat down, Demon then changed the subject to the prospect of her and Angel living together. Helena said nothing and Briana looked to the side.
Aurora went to the church. When Angel and his family came, out Vicki told Aurora to leave him alone except at work. “He is not your son. I am his mother, not you.” Everyone was shocked. Angel scolded Vicki, then Pascual scolded him. Aurora apologized for interrupting a family moment. Said that if she were Angel's mother she would defend him with teeth and claws. Then she started walking away. Vicki followed her, asking her if they could speak madre a madre.
Part 2 of 3
Jezabel spoke some more BS to the PI who seemed to become suspicious of her. She asked Jezabel if she is having this investigated for her own benefit.
More unpleasant discussion in the Murrieta home with Demon trying to trash-talk Angel. Briana defended Angel. Antonio got up.
Jezabel told the detective that Miguel had been a “strong man” [like Stalin?] and that he had done this to Aurora. There were other lies, mostly saying that she had been unaware of Rocha's deceptions. She fake-cried, saying to start at the hospital in another state, corroborate with Antonio about that and can you imagine the pain of a mother looking 30 years for a missing son? The PI scrutinized Jezabel's face as she spoke.
JC was certain that Luis had not been honest with him. Luis accused him of prioritizing Aurora over him. JC asked him if his “older woman” was Jezabel. Luis was caught off-guard. He eventually denied it, asking “If she were, would you forbid it?” “Of course I would,” was the reply.
Helena and Antonio talked in the kitchen. He wanted to make sure she would be happy. She told him that while what she felt for Angel was special, in her mind Demon was The One. Demon entered and that ended the conversation.
Aurora told Vicki that the rape changed her life. That her father took away her son. but she never gave up hope. Vicki cried and apologized to her. Vicki knew that her illness was serious, telling her that her husband and son thought she did not know. She then asked if she would like to share Angel as though he were the son stolen from her.
Angel argued with Pascual for being rude to Aurora after she had offered to help them. Anita interrupted them, saying she would be late to school. Pascual finally caved.
JC and Luis argued about Jezabel because of the age difference, with Luis saying that this is fairly common now. He didn't want to argue with him “and get sick again.” JC said there were other reasons but JC was interrupted by a phone call from Antonio's client. They were to meet at the office.
On the way out Antonio told Fabrizio he would speak with JC about charges against Patricia, but Briana came in to tell them that Patricia was on a TV gossip show. On the air Patricia said that Antonio violently threw her out of her own house and kidnapped Briana. She played the Distraught Mother Card and begged him to return her daughter. Helena and Briana were shocked while Demon looked amused.
Part 3 of 3
Aurora told Vicki she never tried to take Angel away from her. She finally told her that her rapist was the “father” of her son. Despite this she loved her son. Vicki was impressed and admiring, saying that Angel would love this, too. Aurora then said that the rapist was a construction worker, which shocked Vicki.
JC and Antonio talked on the phone about Patricia's accusations. Antonio said she was looking to take away all his assets. JC told him he needed to keep a cool head through this. He said he had to go to Las Flores the next day to speak to officials. As he ended the call Briana walked in and agreed to speak up on his behalf. He hugged her. [Why isn't she calling the police right now?]
JC went into Luis' room; he was not there.
El Morro and Pintas drank beer and ate. El Morro sounded like he knew more than Pintas wanted him to about the anonymous notes, Angel, and Jezabel.
Vicki asked Aurora if she was sure that it was a construction worker who raped her. She nodded, saying “Yes.” Aurora told Pascual she had told Vicki her story and that she had a foundation that searched for stolen children. Pascual apologized, agreeing she was a good person. Anita added her two centavos.
Aquiles and Glorio continued to disagree. They confronted Jezabel about Carlos and Luis. Her face – unseen by the guys – showed shock. She composed herself, did an about-face, and looked at them with predatory intent.
Pascual asked Vicki what she told Aurora. She told Pascual she had revealed nothing and that Aurora would never know the truth. She also told him what Aurora had told her about the rapist. Pintas came in right through the open door. Pascual ordered him to leave. He said something about jobs and he needed one involving building or painting. As they argued Vicki thought “Pintas? It can't be.”
Jezabel would not talk with “employees” and told Esperanza to file a report of insubordination. After she walked away Esperanza demanded to know what was up.
Cassandra told Edgar she felt abandoned. She tried to get information out of him about his family but he was not willing to talk about them.
The press showed up at the Murrieta house and assaulted Antonio with questions. JC and Briana tried to stop this, Patricia voiced her lies, and cops arrived to arrest Antonio.
Helena was worried about Antonio; Demon told her that JC would take care of this. Angel and Aurora were nearby and Demon made a point of marking his territory within their sight. Angel took a step toward them, but Aurora took his hand to stop him.
Briana might need to go on the air to tell the truth about Patricia. I am still waiting to hear who Briana's real mother is.
Remember that we never saw Jezabel gather any adult male hair for the DNA test on the baby. The result she gave to Antonio is likely to be a deliberate lie.
Edgar will be in a lot of hot water soon fooling around with both Cassandra and Jezabel, the latter of whom would kill him for laughs.
The lady PI looks like she has a real nose for BS.
Vicki smells a big rat and we can only hope someone eavesdrops on Pintas the next time he's 3 sheets to the wind.
Urban, thank you for the excellent account of everything that happened in this episode .
Vicki seems to feel sympathy for what happened to Aurora . I was surprised that Vicki so graciously invited Aurora into Angel's life after hearing her sad story.
The PI was definitely giving Jez the stink eye. She looked very suspicious.
Pat is insufferable . Susan
I wrote a post last night that may have ended up in spam. Does this format not warn you if you have a post pending when you log out? It doesn't warn about HTML errors/omissions.
I said in that post that if Aurora and Antonio are endgame I think that this lady PI would definitely be a candidate for JC's ladylove. She has a nose for BS and the right approach to it. I think they would look good together, too.
I hope it isn't too late to save Vicki. She likely needs some serious chemotherapy. If I were on the writing team for this I would play it out that she gets well, gets immunity treatment after, and reveals that Angel is Aurora's missing son. Of course there would be talk about how God protected him by the great accident of ending up with loving parents.
This would then lead to more DNA tests to determine paternity because he's in love with Helena.
I agree that Patricia is insufferable, as this show host is now finding out. His ratings will drop when the truth comes out.
