FUGITIVAS #24 Part 1

A repeat of Florencia appearing at Ismael’s office, begging him to forgive her. Ismael has far more important things on his mind. He stares at her intently and asks her point blank if she had anything to do with Juan Pablo’s death!!
As she stares without speaking, he demands she answer him. She slaps him and furiously tells him off. He throws her affair with Juan Pablo in her face but she retorts with throwing Lorena Martinez in his!

Florencia runs into Nicolas on the way out. She is obviously shaken and stirred and when he asks if she can help, she thanks him but brushes him off and leaves.

Arturo arrives at Alejandro’s apartment, lawyer in tow. (Question: Does Alejandro conduct all his business in his apartment? 😊) Lorena listens from behind the bedroom door as Arturo demands Alejandro retract what he said about his family; he defamed them and wants him to issue a public statement. He hands him documents to sign but Alejandro throws the pen on the floor and hands the papers back. Alejandro threatens that he could sue because Arturo fabricated evidence to wrongly convict Lorena. They threaten back and forth and with Arturo frothing at the mouth, Alejandro wishes them a good day and opens the door. After, Ale tells Lorena he is resolute in wanting to defend her and she hugs him gratefully. I believe he tells her about using Erick’s cell as she smiles. Lorena kisses him on the cheek, puts her hoodie up and leaves.

Carmen and Dario continue to fight. She grabs money out of his hands as Frida and Montse come into the bar to clean.

Lorena is on the bus when a woman boards and sharply stares at her. She pulls out her phone and looks up Lorena online. Lorena realizes what is going on and as the woman starts yelling, jumps out of the bus with several men in hot pursuit. The woman calls the police. The men split up but thankfully Lorena evades them.

Vincente (OMG he’s still here) calls Gabriela. They are going to meet up that evening.

Brenda bursts into Ismael’s office telling him Lorena has been spotted…

Marta is putting on her lipstick looking very pretty and anticipating her date with Patricio.

Brenda returns to Ismael’s office saying Lorena gave them the slip.

FUGITIVAS #24 Part 2

“Buenos Noches” Patricio says to Marta appreciatively as Ester watches from the shadows.

Patricio in a nice blue and white plaid shirt and he and Marta end up at a bar where patrons are dancing. They decided to cut a rug…They study the menu as Ester watches surreptitiously.

Sofia meets with Alejandro at (where else?) his apartment. He wants information on Claudio Vilchis,,,

Carmen “plays” with Erick to ensure his silence. He tells her not to worry, she is his boss and he isn’t talking. Lisset watches.

More Vincente. Sigh. Now he’s leaving tomorrow. Gabriela wishes him well. He kisses her and they hug but he leaves.

A man comes in and talks with Patricio to his delight. Ester overhears and motions to Marta; they talk in the women’s room. “The comandante?” Ester hisses. (Do we know where Ester came from?? She does call Ester “superiora”). She hisses and accuses Marta of turning Estefania in. She demands Marta pay her a hefty sum of money and gives Marta her phone number. Then she takes Marta’s handbag, removes her wallet and takes out all her money!

Naturally, the evening is ruined for Erika and Patricio calls for the bill. They later share an uncomfortable goodbye. Patricio is clearly frustrated.

Gabriela calls Alejandro, she needs a favor but doesn’t want to talk over the phone. What is it he asks? She is sad Vincente is leaving tomorrow (we on the other hand are delighted).

Florencia is back in bed being waited on by Charo, both continuing to curse Lorena.

Gabriela shows up at the bar and hugs her sister. Lorena is delighted to see her; Gabriela calls her Angelina. Gabriela says she and Vincente have split and Lorena feels for her sister. Lorena tells Gabriela that Juan Pablo and Florencia were amantes. Gabriela acknowledges she hasn’t been a good sister but Lorena hugs her and assures her otherwise.

One of the drunk patrons grabs Lisset; Dario asks if she is all right as Carmen looks on knowingly. Next, another man drunkenly runs into her and the same man tries to paw Lisset. Dario intervenes and Erick removes the drunk as Carmen lays claim to her man.

Ismael is tortured by remembering a crying, distraught Lorena telling him he is the love of her life. He then recalls the furious fight with Florencia smacking him…

Erick runs into Marta outside the bar. Lisset and Frida come out and she fills them in explaining Ester’s demands. They bring her inside the bar as Dario stares, wondering what she wants.

Not a lot of forward movement tonight. Kindly add to or correct as needed…

One correction, Dario rescued Frida from the drunk. Also, lissett and Frida told Marta they would help pay the blackmail (of sorts).

I felt bad for Patricio with Marta calling things off with him for the time being but I felt he treated Ester’s threats against her not seriously enough. She doesn’t want to get tortured to death for being a snitch. What didn’t he the police comandante not understand?

Carmen was willing to have sex with Erick to keep him quiet. It was wonderful how quickly he rejected her offer. I wonder who else she has paid off with her favors. Talk about being transactional. Give me a break!

Yes, “We are on the other hand delighted” about Vicente’s departure. You can say that again.

Steve, yes, I watched the first episode last night. It looks like Rodrigo (Diogo) (Marcus Ornellas’ character) is going to have mixed feelings about his revenge when he discovers that Amelia (Scarlet Gruber ) is the daughter of his enemy. It was a good first episode with Rodrigo as an adult literally shaking from his need for revenge. It is relatively short with 50 episodes.
 

Juana #20 Part 1

Carlos, Inez and Enriqueta are in the meeting room when Camila pops in to say Juana didn’t feel well so she went for air and Gabriel went with her as they know how he is with his employees. Caa as Eli’s had asked for a list of all upcoming events.

Gabriel gets the keys from the driver. He tells him he’s going to the Rubio home and the driver is not going The driver is worried about security. Juana asks about security but Gabriel says he feels safe when he’s with her.

David asks Inez where Juana is. He doesn’t look too happy.

Manuel and Rogelio are talking about the beer. Manuel asks how he can do that. He shows him the bacteria. A guy Abel is helping but Manuel will do it, with help from Remy. Good old dad says if one falls we all fall. Paula and her mom are talking. Mom. Mom realizes Paula knew about her dad and Camila. Mom tells Paula Camila was always jealous of her wealth, beauty and social status. She thinks Camila had something to do with Francisco’s disappearance or death.

Camila is thinking of what she overheard Josefina saying-that Juana is the most important person in his life. Carlos comes in. He tells Camila he knows she knows about the pregnancy. Camila tells him about Josefina and all she heard. He tells her not to think Gabriel doesn’t have special feeling for Juana.

Gabriel and Juana are driving out of the city. She’s crying because of Josefina. He only wants to protect her. He’s taking her to a surprise.

Jenny wonders why Josefina is so dressed up. Jenny says she’s always interfering in their lives. As Josefina leaves the room Don Memo calls. Jenny asks him to dinner.

Salvador and Pacheco are looking at the “map” of info on the disappearance and talking of the people involved. Salvador feels Rogelio is in the middle of all this.

Abel gives Manuel the bacteria. Tells him it won’t harm anyone but will be bad publicity.

Enriqueta gives Carlos the list he wanted bye mentions the elevator kisser is Juana’s uncle. She tells him he was concerned because Gabriel came to the house.

Jenny and Felipe talk about their mom.

Yardia comes to garage looking for Felipe. His coworker tells her he’s at home.

Portfolio wonders why Salvador is leaving early. He’s going to Josefina’s for dinner but is nervous about seeing Jenny. The main players are in the meeting room when Inez tells them Gabriel hasn’t returned. As they leave the meeting Camila tells Rogelio that Gabriel is with Juana.

Paula and her lover are working together being photographed. When they take a break she asks if he’s going to help her dress. He’s going to undress her. They end up behind a closed door.

Enriqueta and Dani are talking. Dani says she and Juana are like sisters. Enriqueta know she likes David. She asks for Felipe’s phone number as she’s having trouble with her car. Also tells her Juana had a problem with her grandmother and she left with Gabriel

Loved your comment on Carmen "Talk about being transactional. Give me a break!" which had me smiling away. Erick is becoming one of my faves, I didn't see that coming! :)

Juana #20. Part 2.

Felipe is setting the table when Yardia comes in with a gift for Josefina. She gets invited to dinner.

Juana and Gabriel are in a field when it starts to thunder. She tells him how she got pregnant. He tells her they need to head for the Hacienda Rubio. They get there very wet but get a warm welcome from Almita and Tomas. Gabriel gets a fire going and Tomas brings blankets. Gabriel says the house changes problems into smiles. Gabriel wants the best for her. She asks about him saying she was the most important thing to her. They talk, Juana says he and the baby arrived in her life at the same time.

Enriqueta calls Felipe and asks him out. He can’t but suggests the next day.

Gabriel and Juana are looking at family pictures. They were a close family and he wants that. Juana can understand his pain and sees why he wants a child.

Gabriel and Juana are about to kiss when Alnita and Tomas bring in raincoats. As they leave Alnita tells Tomas she’s worried as they’re saying no one should leave their houses. I’m guessing because of the weather.

All are going to celebrate Inez’s birthday. Enriqueta invites Camila(why?) but she’s going to wait for Gabriel.

Salvador arrives at the house with gifts for all. Jenny is not pleased with her red roses, tells him to put them on the alter outside. but after her mom tells her she’s being rude she accepts them.

Gabriel and Juana return to the house. He asks Alnita to fix a room for Juana. Juana is worried about what her family will think. She calls Jenny and explains. The phone goes dead but Jenny thinks she hung up. Gabriel tells her they know she’s safe.

Dom Memo arrives at the dinner. It looks like he brought Josefina a case of canned food.

Gabriel calls Paula but he’s still with her lover and doesn’t answer. He calls Tania with the message about the storm and he’s at the hacienda.

The birthday party is at Ricardo’s and David seems to be drunk He asks Ricardo to bring a bottle. Ricardo tries to calm him down. A couple of girls are apologizing to Dani about something with Juana. David starts shouting “Juana”. This is the second telenovela I’ve seen him in. He seems to regularly be a nice guy that becomes a jerk.

Abel and an unseen man are setting their watches. Rent brings pizza to the security guards and the unseen guy, in a mask, puts the bacteria in the vat. The plan is to bankrupt the company.

Alnita it’s is showing Juana a closet of clothes. She doesn’t want to wear any of Paul’s clothes. But Alnita tells her Paula has never been there. The clothes belong to models that were there with a photographer. The lights go out.

Back at the party David tells Dani she’s the prettiest girl there and kisses her.

The dinner party has started awkwardly. Could be because none of the Bravos chose their date. Josefina is worried about Juana and thinks Jenny never protects her. The house phone rings. Josefina answers it and it’s Ramon, he’s missed her.

Juana is in a red dress, carrying a candlestick. She looks sexy. Gabriel looks stunned.

Camila is at Paula’s. She tells Paula her mom is inventing things. Then she tells her Juana and Gabriel are together and that Juana is the woman who’s pregnant by Gabriel. So much for her promise not to tell.

Dear Diana, thank you for a great recap as we try to figure out who killed JP.

So, did Marta tell Patricio who Ester was and that she was blackmailing her ? What did Ester threaten to do? Poor Marta just cannot catch a break .

.Yes, it seems that Ale works out of his apartment ..no office.

Vincente keeps showing up like the bad penny he is, but I think the writers are going to redeem him .

Arturo is always huffing and puffing, but I must admit that I like this actor.

Erick is a surprise..goofy but good. Why isn't he telling on Carmen? I was surprised seeing this actress as a good girl at the beginning, but she certainly isn't .

I thought that David knew that Juana was pregnant. I was surprised that he kissed Dani while drunkydrunk since he seems so obsessed with Juana.

Yes, the actor playing David was also the lovesick guy who didn't get the leading lady in Minas, but he was always there for her at every turn. A true boy scout . He played a good married guy in Conde.

The dinner party was funny. Memo is a very practical guy. .Cranky Jo didn't seem to appreciate his hostess gift of canned goods. Ha

Hi, Jarifa . Thank you for the intro to this new show. I like the galan and have seen him in many shows. I have only seen Scarlet Gruber play a villain. It will be interesting to see her as a leading lady.

The actor playing the agent was a very bad guy in " El conde ."

Marta "can't catch a break" is completely true! I don't know where Ester came from (if we saw her in the jail or visiting I can't recall seeing her at all until now). I think she threatened telling Estefania that it was Marta who caused her arrest...

I agree about Erick. He is (surprisingly) a good guy and isn't saying anything about Carmen for that reason. She, not being a good person, doesn't seem to understand that someone could keep quiet out of kindness...

I thought the intro episode was good although I was a bit dismayed at all the violence.

Agree Jarifa, Rodrigo was indeed "literally shaking with anger". Marcus did a great job in that scene. I have to say that Scarlet was a bit of a surprise and I liked her performance.

What I gathered about Ester is she is an escapee also. Marta can't turn her in because if she does then Ester will be in jail with Estafania and will let her know Marta is the snitch.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched a telenovela. The last two I watched were Minas and Mujer. I’ve had a tough year but I finally decided to watch this one. I might need to watch the first episode again though haha. I think I missed some details. The time jumps were a little crazy. I was just about to ask how many total episodes there are so thanks Jarifa! I’m actually glad it’s going to be short.

Thanks Susan. I wrote in a hurry so there’s typos. I reread because you mentioned David knowing about Juana’s pregnancy. He did know, but I can’t believe I don’t remember if it was from the magazine or not. I do remember he asked Dani if Gabriel knew, and he did. Last night Juana told Gabriel how she got pregnant. David doesn’t know that. But Gabriel needs to tell her he’s the father before she hears it from Paula. I was hoping he’d tell her last night.

I liked the dinner party. I’m guessing two of the couples will end up together.

Liz, thanks very much for taking this on. I am only half-watching; I like the cast, but I’m not wild about the basic plot and I’m overloaded with other shows. That said, I do think Gabriel better fess up asap! No excuse after Juana told him what happened.

FUGITIVAS #25 Part 1

Lisset and Frida come out and Marta fills them in explaining Ester’s demands. Montse and Lorena join her, they indulge in a group hug.

Alejandro’s phone rings and he thanks the caller. Lisset calls Charo faking she is ill. Needless to say, Charo is not sympathetic and hangs up!

Arturo is getting dressed watching an unflattering piece on himself on the news.

Charo and Florencia talk; she tells her Lisset isn’t there (and won’t be missed!) Vincente wanders in and says he is going to the airport (as I dance for joy). Sourpuss Arturo joins them and immediately starts in on Vincente (he’s not ALL bad), moaning and mouthing about Lorena Martinez. He leaves in a huff.

Alejandro shows up at Ismael’s office, Patricio barely acknowledges him and Brenda simply glares. Ale asks for alone time with his client (do we know her name?).

Arturo is losing business due to the negative publicity caused by Alejandro’s statement against him.

Marta joins the fam for breakfast. Carmen leaves, eyebrows raised. The group breaks up and Frida and Dario end up alone for a few minutes, sparks are flying.

Elena calls Rosario and tells her she is going to the doctor.

Vincente is STILL waiting for his taxi as he bids Charo goodbye, she blesses him.

Dario takes Marta off in his car as Ester watches, cackling like a hyena.

Patricio asks Ismael what’s up. Ismael talks about Juan Pablo and Lorena Martinez and the gun. I think he tells Patricio she is innocent.

FUGITIVAS #25 Part 2 of 2

Vincente IS at the airport!! There is a boarding announcement and he gets up wheeling his suitcase…

Arturo bursts into Florencia’s office. He confronts her and I believe he wants her to return home. He asks his hija to confide in him. He boxes her into a corner and feeling she cannot continue to keep the truth from him, she confesses her affair; she not only slept with Juan Pablo but Ismael found out! He is angry of course and later asks how long the affair was going on. He has a few choice words and then tells her he doesn’t want any more secrets between them. She says OK and exhales as he leaves.

“How is my mother doctor” Dario asks. I readily admit I’m not following as to why she is at the doctor’s…In a later scene it appears he tries to make amends (it’s about time) and invites her back to the house as Ester again watches. She has an emotional reunion with the girls who give her money. She makes a call and arranges to meet Ester to give her the money.

Gabriela is working at her table when the doorbell rings. Don’t answer it I plead, a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. Against my good advice, she does and it’s Vincente, proclaiming his love. She is delighted and accepts him back.

“Hola Marta” Ester pops up confronting Marta right outside her door. Before Marta can stop her, she scoots into the bar and sees all the fugitivas!!

Sofia meets with Alejandro. He asks about Claudio Vilchis and I believe she tells him that he provided the documents that match the evidence against Lorena.

Ester gives Montse a big hug and natters on…She threatens the girls and they huddle as to what they should do. When Dario enters unexpectedly, Ester introduces herself as Rebeca, Cecelia’s (Montse’s) mother!

Ale tries to track down Claudio Vilchis. He gives a woman at the bank a sob story about his mother dying. She hands him a pink slip with some information!

I struggled with the dialogue; if there is anything you can add or correct, it would be greatly appreciated!

Diana, what I got from the Marta storyline. She is worried about Ester and I think is afraid to return to her apartment. She tells Dario she hasn't been feeling well. That is why he took her to the Dr. I think the Dr covered for her telling them she needs to reduce the stress in her life.

Ester has managed to finagle 2 nights at the bar. Dario is not pleased about it though.

Ale got the address by telling the coworker that his mother collected something (can't recall what it was) and her last wishes were for Claudio to receive the collection.

Unlike you, Diana, I really don't dislike Vicente so I don't mind that he is back with Gabriela.

Susan, what new guy and daughter, or are you mixing it up with Juana?

In Arturo’s conversation with Florencia, what angers him even more is when she informs him that she and JP met at the suites. She knows that somebody found out and that they are now investigating.

Marta says her blood pressure fell and that is why she felt dizzy. This seems to be a common medical excuse in these novelas. The doctor says that can happen when a person is under stress so tells her to not get stressed. Otherwise she is healthy.

Alejandro tells the bank employee that his mother left Vilchis her collection of (postal) stamps.

It turns out that Ester is a con artist. Playing the rich landed her in the klink!

I cannot see Ester ever leaving now that she has wheedled her way in. One night, two nights, 10, 000 pesos . . . with what she knows she never has to leave unless she is dead. It will be interesting to see if they can remove her in a realistic way like setting her up with another criminal to do their dirty work.

Daniela being all alone at 18 with a sis on the run was not a good situation so Vicente’s return is okay by me.

Poor Patricio who cannot talk any sense to his head strong daughter.

Juana. #21 part 1

Camila is telling Paula she doesn’t believe her. Camila tells her Juana and Gabriel are together and Juana is the woman that was inseminated. She shows her the magazine.

Gabriel and Juana are having dinner with candles and the red dress. Gabriel tells her she looks beautiful. She explains about the dress but he knows, they used his house and had models. He asks about “Juana the Virgin” in the magazine. She says she was busy with work and school, never fell in love. The neighborhood started the rumor.

Josefina keeps telling the caller he’s wrong, as he keeps calling. The diners look at her. She excused herself.

At the party Dani is dreamy, David is drunk.

Paula gets voicemail when she calls Gabriel Tania gives her the message from Gabriel. Paula is upset he’s in his favorite place with Juana. Camila tells her Juana doesn’t know Gabriel is the father.

Gabriel tells Juana the clinic made a horrible error but she is so strong to have the baby. She says he helped her make the decision when he told how badly he wanted children. She has no interest in including the father, it’s her and the baby.

Josefina is crying that he called after 20 plus years. Now she feels like she did when he left her with two kids. Everyone else is clearing the table and talking about the calls. Don Memo wants to get a doctor, Salvador says give her time, Jenny agrees with him.

Paula is upset that the photographer has what Gabriel always wanted. Camila says it’s obvious he doesn’t love Juana, he just wants his son. He wants to take care of Juana She needs to plan a strategy to get Juana to leave him.

Felipe and Jenny say the dinner was a disaster. Who called their mom? They’re sure Juana is with Gabriel and they’re going to look for them.

A daughter brings her dad a drink for his cough. He says it won’t cure him. She asks if he called Josefina. . He tells her she hung up. Her mom is dead and he’s still married to Josefina.

Juana tells Gabriel the house is from another era but she loves it. It’s intimate. He adds romantic.

Camila tells Paula Gabriel can never find out that she told Paula about Juana and the baby. She'll help, trust her.

Gabriel mentions keeping their distance. Juana agrees. It’s late so they go to bed.

Back at the party David is about passed out. He says he’ll bring Dani home. Ricardo will take David home. Dani leaves with others.

Felipe and Jenny are with Paula and Camila. They want to speak to Gabriel, they want to know where Juana is Jenny asks what your husband wants with my daughter.

Juana wakes up and goes to the living room where Gabriel is sleeping on the sofa. She’s cold. He wasn’t sleeping. They kiss.

Juana #21 part 2

After the kiss Gabriel apologizes, this can’t be. She never felt a kiss like that but she’s pregnant, working and has to finish school. So he’s right. Juana says our story is impossible but he says it’s just beginning. He respects her.

Paula acuses Juana of making eyes at Gabriel. Jenny is ready to fight Paula. Camila steps forward and explains things She says Gabriel is noble and will protect her. Felipe says she has family to protect her.

Juana is watching the rain and thinking of their conversation and the kiss. Gabriel is thinking about Juana and how she said she and the father never had anything, they don’t know each other. He thinks “the father of your son is waiting, it’s me”. Juana wakes up and calls her mom to tell her she’s fine and about the storm. Jenny wants to see her.

Paula walks past Tania in the kitchen. The driver then comes in and tells Tania that Paula spent the night at the model’s apartment.

Felipe calls Enriqueta and invites her to breakfast. They meet later at a really nice restaurant.

Juana and Almita talk. Juana is a little sad. She feels these hours have been like a dream. Almita loved meeting her and Gabriel’s parents would have loved her. She tells her how happy Gabriel was here. Juana mention the photo she saw of the three of them Almita says Paula was never interested.

Camila is going to help Paula with Juana. But again she tells her Gabriel can’t know she told her about Juana.

Josefina is thinking the worse. Felipe and Jenny think she’s always trying to destroy their lives. They mention the phone calls. She again tells them it was a wrong number. They mention her pushing Salvador and Yardia on them. Memo is mentioned too.

Paula is thinking of what Camila said when Luciano arrives. He was worried that she wasn’t there when he woke up and didn’t answer his messages. She’s important to him.

The detectives talk. Salvador says everything was fine until Josefina got the phone calls. Then it got strange.

Dani is beaming. A coworker tells David he was dancing and kissing David. She feels Dani has the wrong idea.

Rogelio is furious with Camila. He couldn’t reach her. He needs to know where she is at all times so he can spend the night with her when he wants.

Juana tells Gabriel these were the best hours of her life. He says his happiest times were here. He thanks her for giving him those memories. He wants to bring her someplace before taking her home.

Carlos asks Paula to meet with some people.

Rogelio speaks with Manuel, making sure all went well. He says soon the end of the company will come.

Gabriel brings Juana to a doctor who will take care of her through the pregnancy.

Thanks Liz. I wasn't sure if Josefina's ex was still married to her. You cleared that up for me. I meant to add to the previous post that the guy who dumped the bacteria in the vat was Manuel. I could tell by his hair. Hoping someone, like our favorite detective, realizes the security tapes were tampered with and put in a continuous loop for an hour during the sabotage.

Kat, I think you are right ..I got Fugitivas confused with Juana because both are introducing new characters . I was confused about the guy on the park bench and his daughter . So. He is Jo',s ex .

Rogelio is so smarmy and trying to control Cam while Cam tries to play Paula and somehow get Gabe. Okay.

I would much prefer to live in that cozy, warm hacienda to the cold, austere mansion. These homes of the rich are always depicted as ultra modern. What is up With all these staircases of death that we see in every mansion. They are so steep with no rails!! Susan

Thanks Kat and Susan. I just picture Juana and Gabriel living in the hacienda some day. Wish I could feel sorry for Camila’s situation with Rogelio. But she’s out for herself and will never get Gabriel.

Hoping Manuel will become a good guy. He doesn’t seem happy going along with his father. Maybe Salvador can get him to talk eventually.

I remember watching Gabriela's reaction to Vicente's return and cringing.I know he is the only one, but it's like...the only applicant for the job doesn't make the applicant the best, just the only one. I can't get over Gabriela's neediness and begging. I once overheard a woman pleading with her boyfriend not to leave and felt so much second hand embarrassment. Vicente was all 'if you don't go clubbing you're no fun.' And now he's a happy family man. I can't take these two being together seriously. Is there a man Florencia didn't try having an affair with? I wonder if she chose JP to,in her mind, get back at Ismael for not treating her the way she wanted to be treated. And daddy dearest thought she was a victim hahaha. But Nicolas? Really,Flo?

Your likening Vincente to "... the only applicant for the job doesn't make the applicant the best, just the only one" was excellent. I completely agree. He's too much Mr. Hyde for me. Gabriela has had it so hard, she deserves someone kind and understanding and to me he lacks both sympathy and empathy chips.

Your reasoning that Flor might have turned to JP to hurt Ismael for the way he treated her is very plausible. I hope we get more background on how and why she and JP got together in the first place. I might be a bit more sympathetic to her but there was no excuse for Nicolas. None! :).

FUGITIVAS #26 Part 1

We began with a recap of Alejandro (being rather charming) telling the bank staffer that his mother left Vilchis her collection of postal stamps and that he needs his address. She hands Alejandro a pink post it with the requested information as he smiles and leaves.

Alejandro calls Sofia and tells her the “operation” was successful.

Ester has invited Montse to what appears to be a very expensive restaurant.

Gabriela arrives at Florencia’s office; Flor tells her she has a different job for her and to talk to Vero. After Gabriela leaves, Florencia rolls her eyes and makes a face. When she approaches Vero, she very snottily says “tu?” and acts shocked. Gabriela uncharacteristically sort of smirks at her (which I was happy to see) and leaves.

Montse finishes her dessert as the bill is presented. All of a sudden, Ester starts rifling through her purse, pretending her wallet was stolen, yelling about the indignity. A man at a nearby table comes up and offers to pay (likely desperate to shut her up 😊) after which she profusely thanks him.

Vincente meets up with a friend regarding the possibility of a job. He takes Vincente to meet his father and Vincente is hired (Oscar Bonfiglio plays the father but I don’t see his name in the credits so can’t ID his character’s name. The son looks familiar but I don’t know the actor’s name).

Ester and Montse celebrate the con.

Dario gets a call…

It looks like everyone is happy to have Marta home as she rustles something delicious looking out of the fridge. Carmen comes home and Dario hustles her into the bedroom, demanding to know where the money she took is. He tells her he spoke to her sister Sara and knows she wasn’t hospitalized. “Where is the money” he asks angrily. I don’t believe she came up with an excuse.

Ale rings the bell of Vilchis’ home but is told he’s not there. He calls Sofia to give her an update.

Ester holds a confab and Marta has to remind her that they are in her house.

FUGITIVAS #26 Part 2

Ismael calls Patricio into his office. He wants to meet Marta; Patricio doesn’t seem thrilled.

Frida talks to Dario and asks him to confide in her. Problems with Carmen she guesses? Bingo. She sweetly offers him her support.

Tensions are running high among the four fugitivas plus one. Lorena gets into it with Ester.

Gabriela comes home and Vincente tells her he got the job at the Foundation. They decide to celebrate.

Florencia visits Arturo apologizing for what transpired with Juan Pablo. She tells him Charo was aware of their relationship, and he immediately looks shocked and angry. I believe she also mentions Ismael isn’t coming home. In the end, he seems to forgive her. Charo interrupts; Vero is waiting for her.

Alejandro texts Erick…

Ismael and Patricio enter the bar; Lorena is waiting on a table and has her back to them. She moves and manages to walk away before they notice her. “Ismael” she mutters to herself under her breath. Erick goes over and seats them at a table, telling Ismael he saw him on TV. Erick drones on and Patricio loses his patience a bit.

Vero came to Flor’s to complain about Gabriela…

The fugitivas all become aware Ismael and Patricio are there. Erick manages to move them to another table and provides menus. Ester sees them and moves her seat, sitting with her back to them.

Ester introduces herself with a fake name to a man and it seems another con is fermenting.

FUGITIVAS #26 Part 3 of 3

Patricio and Ismael aren’t being waited on because Lorena, their server, is upstairs trying to avoid them. She goes into Matias’ bedroom where Marta is sitting telling her Ismael and Patricio are there. Marta seems suitably alarmed.

Sofia seems to have some luck in researching whatever she was looking up.

Arturo and Charo meet in the kitchen. He asks her for water and then starts screaming at her about the Florencia/Juan Pablo situation, “I am your patron” he roars, is that clear? Frightened and chastised, she asks for his forgiveness.

Carmen asks Frida where “Angelina” is. Frida then hands Erick the tray with Ismael and Patricio’s drinks; Ismael is actually quite nice about it and Patricio seems to be keeping his emotions in check. Marta comes into the bar and looks around. She approaches their table and says “buenos noches” and takes a seat, asking Patricio and Ismael why they are there.

Carmen opens the door and asks Lorena why she isn’t downstairs. She threatens that if she doesn’t get back down there, she is going to fire her!

No Nicolas tonight and he was not missed! :0

I know there was dialogue that eluded me but I’ve done the best I can. Kindly fill in and/or correct what I missed.

Geez, what a tedious nerve wracking episode. I didn't think that Marta was EVER going to make it down to the club after Lorena told her that Patricia and Ismael were in the club to see her. I do admit that I enjoyed seeing Ester is action.

A few extras:

Flo has (begrudgingly) made Gabriela her personal assistant. Florencia sends her to get her appointment book/planner from Vero. Gabi also tells her to get her a desk outside of Flo's office.

Dario answers a call from Regina for Carmen and catches Carmen in a lie. Carmen told him Sara had to have emergency surgery. Regina tells him that Carmen must have gotten her mixed up with somebody else. Regina will call back later. Carmen explains to him later that she used the money to order a neon sign for the club (a gift for him!) and can prove it. Now she is having problems getting the sign . . . She invites him to go with her to confront the man she gave her money to. Dario is not buying it.

Ester has come up with a plan to make them all money. Montse has been brainwashed already. Marta tells Ester that nobody else is interested in getting on the wrong side of the law again.

Alejandro finds out that Vilchis has moved out. He has been gone for a while.

Flo tells Arturo about the phone she had to be used with only JP and how she answered a call on it but immediately turned it off. She concludes that somebody is investigating. Arturo is upset. She then throws Carmen under the bus as Diana noted. Flo then adds that she thinks that Lorena is behind it all giving Ismael the suite address that he investigated. Flo thinks they still could be in contact. Arturo remarks that "hormones overrule neurons" (Too funny) Arturo assures her he will always be there for her. She is his daughter.

I first Saw Oscar as Fernando Colunga's bff and attorney in Amor Real . Perhaps getting away from the family business and his angry dad will reform Vicente and make him a suitable mate for Gabriela.


Ester, the grifter , is bad news . This actress was in many novelas when I first started watching them.

Juana #22 part 1

Gabriel is bringing Juana to the best OB doctor in Mexico. She is not pleased. She should have been consulted. He goes to cancel the appointment but Juana stops him, she wants to make sure all is well with the baby. Gabriel starts to go in with her and she stops him. It’s just between her and the baby. The doctor, Dr. Toledo, studied with Gabriel. They’re friends.

Felipe and Enriqueta are still at breakfast. She was surprised he called so soon. She’s very structured and limited. He mentions the elevator. She says she’s claustrophobic. She apologizes but Felipe says not to. He wants to lift her limits.

Gabriel had told the doctor everything. Juana wants to be in control. The doctor has she can examine her and she can choose another doctor. She asks her about previous exams. Juana said the first one she got pregnant. She’s going to hear the heartbeat. The nurse asks Gabriel to go in and hear the heartbeat.

Luciano is upset that she left him that morning .Her husband asked for a divorce and doesn’t love her. Why did she leave. Paula tells him she and Gabriel are good, not divorcing.

The nurse brings Gabriel in. Juana says no, he’s not the father. Then she tells him to stay. As they listen both are happy.

Back at breakfast Enriqueta has a milk mustache, Felipe wipes it. She says it’s not good, he’s the uncle of an employee. They kiss

Gabriel and Juana are with the doctor. Gabriel is thankful to share this moment with her. Gabriel freaks out when the doctor has one concern. Juana’s tension is a little high. This translated as stress or strain. I’m thinking blood pressure. She tells her stress and a situation with too much emotions should be avoided. I didn’t catch what Gabriel said but the doctor looked uncomfortable and Juana told him to relax, he’s making her nervous.

After the kiss Felipe says you can’t blame the elevator. Enriqueta says the table is closing her in. She’s used to controlling her emotions. This terrifies her. Felipe says it’s chemistry. She leaves, saying don’t look for me, she’ll think and look for him when she’s ready.

Dani is talking to someone on the computer when David asks her to meet him for coffee. He’s thinking of what a coworker told him.

Juana and Gabriel leave the doctor’s, both thrilled. They thank each other for the experience. Juana says she’s surprised he’s so excited for a baby that isn’t his. I think he might have been ready to tell when his phone rings!

Carlos needs Gabriel at the office. Important clients are coming. Inez tells him Enriqueta isn’t here either.

Salvador shows up at Josefina’s. He came to see her. She went pale after the phone call. That can happen when you suddenly see someone after a long time. She asks if he’s a witch. She tells him Ramon went for cigarettes more than 20 years ago and never returned.

Gabriel and Juana arrive at work, at the same time. A coworker says what a coincidence, then turns and says Juana has the same clothes on. Dani wants to to talk to Juana. Carlos is talking to Gabriel. He’s worried about the meeting. Gabriel tells him about the hacienda, the doctor, the baby etc. He wants a divorce to be with Juana and the baby. And, no, she doesn’t know he’s the father.

Juana tells her about the hacienda and the kiss. Dani tells her about David’s kiss.

Juana #22 part 2

Lorenzo tells Paula she can count on him She thanks him and he leaves. Tania has been listening. Camila calls Paula tell tell her to come to the brewery. There are important clients and they’ll be a reception. And Gabriel just came in with, guess who.

The office gossip is telling the marketing team that Juana came in with Gabriel and she was wearing the same clothes. Juana enters and they all get back to work.

Dani goes to David in the cafeteria. She’s excited until he apologizes for being drunk. They’re just friends. They can never be novios. He's in love with Juana. When he leaves she cries.

Rogelio and Manuel are talking. Rogelio thinks the workers have too much free time if they have time to gossip. Manuel tells him that Juana and Gabriel were to together yesterday and arrived at the same time today, she has the same clothes on today. Rogelio seems to want to face her, or find out more about her.

Gabriel goes in to speak to Camila. She tells him Paula knows he was with Juana and Juana’s mom and uncle came to the house looking for her. She asks if he thinks Paula is worried. He says he doesn’t have to give explanations to her(Camila). Camila seems to warn him. Inez comes to tell him the clients have arrived. Camila goes to greet them. Carlos and Gabriel join them. Carlos compliments Paula on a good job. She tells him that’s her job, she’s not working there just because she’s Francisco’s wife or Paula’ best friend.

Gabriel, Carlos, Camila and Enriqueta give the clients a tour of the factory. Manuel calls Rogelio to tell him. Dani brings Rogelio a report. He asks about her friendship with Juana. And then Juana’s relationship with his son-in-law. Dani says they’re just friends, that Gabriel is married to the most beautiful woman in the world. Rogelio agrees.

Jenny shows up at work. She wants to know what happened between her and Gabriel. Juana is upset when Jenny tells her they went to Gabriel’s house. She thinks the two woman were insufferable but Felipe kept her from causing a scene. A worker needs her

Paula arrives at work and tells Inez to advise her husband she’s here.

Jenny walks up to Gabriel as he and Camila are escorting the visitors. He asks Camila to continue showing the clients around. She reminds him he promised he would keep his distance if Juana returned to work. Her daughter had many good qualities but she’s pregnant and they have nothing in common. He will never hurt her

Paula walks into the marketing section. She eyes Juana. Someone greets her, Señora Paula, and David jumps up. She was looking for Gabriel, she’ll be in his office.

Carlis is talking to Enriqueta. She has never been late. She says she was taking care of personal things. Then she tells him Juana and Gabriel arrived together. Carlos tells her it’s complicated.

Paula tells Gabriel the mother and uncle of the young girl came to the house. He tells her, Juana, she says, the photographer. She wants the truth, He doesn’t have excuses for her. Camila comes in and invites Paula to the reception. David has told his team they will be going. It’s an order.

Ramon and his daughter are in a taxi in the neighborhood. The girl gets out and asks Jenny something about the alter. She gets back in cab.

Gabriel gives a toast, then Paula approaches. Gabriel introduces his wife. Her toast is for her husband, for sharing his life today and always. She gives him a long kiss as Juana watches.

Thanks Susan, this is my first time and I’m amazed at the recappers that do it all the time. It’s a lot of work, but I guess I suspected that. Ha, yes, Camila and Paula do strut around the office. I was afraid Camila was going to have a wardrobe malfunction in that dress! I may be wrong but I don’t think Ramon is going to be trouble. When his daughter gave him the medicine for his cough she said it would make him feel better. He answered that it wouldn’t cure him. I think he’s hoping to find a home for his daughter. But I could be way off base.
