El Angel de Aurora #41
Part 1 of 2

Aurora would not give up her shares. Demon accused her of showing false love to him all along, like his mother and Helena. She was offended but exited saying she wasn't going to try to change his mind.

Antonio explained to Angel what really happened, that he had loved Gabriel. Angel apologized and said that Aurora was special, like family. It also appeared to him that she still loved Antonio.

Demon told Fabrizio that Helena did not love him, then made a comment describing her as lower class. Fabrizio advised him to leave her in peace. Demon would not but did not want to talk any more about it. Fabrizio still loved him [and was still blind to his true nature]. When Fabizio said he was going back to Antonio's, Demon invited him to move in with him. [This is guaranteed to backfire].

All looked well between Helena, Angel, and Antonio. Helena mentioned that all was not well between herself and Demon.

Demon told Fabrizio he needed him, saying he was his only ally. [Red Alert!

Edgar and Jezabel were in her office talking about her latest victory. He asked her why she hated Aurora and she answered that she stole the love of their parents and Antonio as well as “my place in the company.” He asked about Gabriel's grave and Jezabel said there was non but she would tend to that if necessary.

As Luis played White Knight with Tiana Jezabel started a new seduction of Edgar to embroil him into her next scheme. Cassandra caught a glimpse of this.

Helena, Angel, and Antonio had coffee together and discussed the possibility of Antonio having jobs for Angel and his dad.

Vicki was cooking at home and got pain in her arms. Pascual asked her if she had talked to the doctor and she said she had not; she had been visiting Aurora. Eventually she told Pascual it was the beginning of the end. She wanted no lies between them. He could not deal with the idea of losing her. She wanted Angel to be happy before she died.

Rolando went to see Pintas to confront him over the robbery of the school cafeteria. He slammed the latest money from him on a counter.

At the lunch crowd's latest meeting Glorio remembered Aquiles that to win Maggie he would need to be a good father to Rolando who at that moment was telling Pintas off only to be threatened by him.

Pascual calmed down and he and Vicki agreed on full disclosure and to be strong for their children. Finally Vicki said that Angel will need his real mother. They cried.

Rolando tried to leave Pintas' hovel and Pintas tried guilt-tripping him. He gavde him back the money on the counter.

Part 2 of 2

Vicki suggested they take a family trip to the beach. Pascual asked how they could afford it, then speculated they could save money by using a cheaper hospital. Then Anita came home and they lied about why they had been crying.

Jezabel and Edgar began kissing. They walked out in time to hear Aurora tell Demon he could move into his new office shortly. Demon approached Angel saying he could stay in the company. Cassandra watched carefully. He extended his hand to him and eventually Angel shook it, looking reluctant. Demon made a speech about a “new chapter” and corporate loyalty. He used Glorio as an example. JC looked like he questioned this.

Pintas threw a pity party for himself talking about a loveless life. He gave more money to Rolando, telling him not to tell anyone or he would go to Kiddie Jail [Rolando, you should be smart enough not to buy this BS].

Demon brought up the company party, getting applause for this then for his parents. Aurora was ready to leave but Demon called her back for applause. Patricia whispered to Briana “You have to marry him.” [Did she roll her eyes? I didn't notice.] He then called Helena out as head of marketing. Antonio was mentioned. Jezabel looked proud and probably a little afraid.

Aquiles and Maggie did not believe a single word of this.

Angel went out for fresh air as Antonio kept Helena back to talk.

Patricia prevented Briana from leaving. She wanted to talk to Jezabel whom JC described that she was a great leader... of a circus. Luis wanted to go to lunch with JC but not Aurora. Cassandra looked nervous. JC wanted to talk with Tania.

Aquiles got Angel into the supply room to talk about Angel and Helena. [Not sure where he's going with this.]

Patricia demanded coffee and Cassandra was having none of her BS.

Fabrizio and Jezabel talked about him moving back in. [Walking into Hell, more likely].

Helena and Antonio talked about Demon's latest actions. Neither thought that Demon had changed. Antonio seemed to think that one should keep their enemies close.

Urban, thank you for an excellent recap as our story rolls along .

What is barnacle Pat doing at the office ? I thought that she was escorted out the other day. Are the writers going to redeem her since they showed her in that abusive relationship?

The actor portraying Demon is playing it large. What a drip.

Looks like Luis might end up with Tania if he straightens out .

I feel sorry for Rolando being used by Pintas and nobody intervening. Susan

Thanks Urban, I enjoyed your recap.

Demon and the applause was just plain weird. He had to askGlorio his name and then talked about being good friends.

I hope Cassandra stays away from Edgar. Jezabel enjoys hurting people.

Luis is definitely manipulating his dad. I started out feeling sorry for him but now i just don’t like him.

Fabrizio moving in with Demon should be interesting. Jezabel and Aurora will be there if he’s talking about the house not his apartment. Jezabel will have him going crazy again.

Angel/Aurora. Excellent recap, Urban, and astute comments from Liz. Demian is such a nasty snob--among his many other defects. He's also a terrible company president who bullies and humiliates the employees. Aurora seems to be getting stronger and more courageous. Jezabel is even mean to Casandra--which probably isn't a good idea. That was a moving scene between Vicki and Pascual. It looks as if she will die, but since she evidently hasn't talked to the doctor, maybe not. What's Patricia up to with Casandra? And finally: DNA, DNA!

Demon's conversation with Edgar said he was planning on framing Helena and Angel for something nefarious. He intended to make her cry tears of blood.

Aurora prayed to Jesus and then had a lightbulb moment about a grave. She saw Angel and Helena who while en route to meeting Antonio and JC. There was a mural on a corner building showing Angel and Helena kissing; Angel had done it with a little help from his friends. Antonio and JC told them about the text and suggested they get an order for tracing it. It seemed to f=have come from that zip code.

Patricia continued to whine to Jezabel about Antonio stripping her of everything. Jezabel asked if this wasn't more lies. Patricia acted as though she were living in the streets. Jezabel asked why she created a scene with Cassandra. This was clearly a bid for attention. Patricia needed money to maintain her lifestyle. Jezabel was tired of this and even said so. Patyricia said she would do anything for her for money.

Antonio el al speculated on the origins of the text (Angel could not think of anyone) then talked about finding the grave. Aurora told the lovebirds to fight for their love because life without it is hell. Also, as an aside to Helena, that whatever Demon felt for her it wasn't love.

Jezabel promised to help. Patricia wanted to get Antonio and Helena back, but Jezabel told her this would be very difficult. She advised Patricia that she had to start repenting her actions [I may start liking her sense of humor]. She personally planned to drive Fabrizio completely loco to put him permanently in the manicomio or prison.

Helena and Angel went to his place where he suggested they make enchiladas. Vicki was happy to see them together. When Helena asked her about the chills she dismissed them as symptoms of aging.

Antonio believed that the text came from someone who knew them back in the day, it was therefore somehow logical that it came from that neighborhood. JC agreed.

Pintas called Jezabel to arrange a meeting. He was blasting a radio while doing so and enjoying how it annoyed her delicate sensibilities.

Demon and Edgar entered as she ended the call. She did not say whom she talked with but even in his drunken state Demon guessed it correctly. He had entered saying that Helena was a liar and that his cousin Gabriel was dead. He was slightly disheveled and Jezabel looked very displeased with him.

JC brought up the issue of Lucio knowing Juventino. But that Ursula was not sure her father was remembering anything correctly. .

Cassandra teased Luis about inviting Jezabel to his place while he was Home Alone, then told the others about Jezabel and Edgar kissing. Luis looked a bit down in the mouth.

Aurora said she would not stop until she knew everything. They needed to find the grave and get an order of exhumation. Antonio excused himself to go to a business meeting, but saw Aurora and JC kissing just before he left.

Helena and Angel ate; she said the enchiladas were delicious. Pascual apologized to her for his previous comments. Angel became concerned about the office gossip. Helena was not afraid to love Angel no matter what was said about them.

Luis was not concerned about Jezabel as Aquiles called him out on his crush. He continued to wan Luis about her. Luis did not believe him. Aquiles was sure that Jezabel had something to do with Carlitos' death. Esperanza was fed up with all of this.

Angel told Pascual he asked about a job for him. He was good with that. Maggie and Rolando came to tell them he would be seeing the eye doctor and Anita brought up the money from Pintas. Angel started asking about the thefts from the school cafeteria and suspicion around Pintas. Maggie and the others all told Rolando he needed to tell the police.

Part 2 of 2; some scenes out of order/combined

Jezabel pulled up in her car, thinking about Demon. Pintas showed up and got into the shotgun seat next to her. She handed him 50K in pesos ($2,480USD as of this morning) first, then 4x that and he asked whom he had to kill. She said “Angel Santos” and he looked incredulous. She did not see this expression but told him she would give him anything he needed. She also told him to watch himself. “because he is very violent.”

Fabrizio brought his suitcases down for the move. He thanked Antonio for everything.

Maggie and Rolando left the Santos abode. Anita went to bed happy that Helena would become her sister. Angel had a worse vibe than previously about Pintas...

...who then told Jezabel he did not know Angel. She said that if he wasn't up to this she could get someone else to do this for less money. She reached for the cash and he pulled it back. She then gave him a plain brown envelope and told him to contact her when this was all over. He asked why and she said “Because he did something he shouldn't have. That's all you have to know.” Pintas said nothing as he briefly marveled at the irony of being hired to kill his own son. He then said she could count on him, but he wanted double. He got out of the car.

Demon and Edgar argued about who knew nothing about love. This became a fight thay went downstairs. He swore to get Helena back and went back upstairs as Edgar fled the mansion. JC and Aurora saw at least a bit of this. As they went upstairs Aurora said she had never seen Demon violent. They found him in his bedroom, unconscious on the floor.

Helena asked Angel who Pintas was and Angel explained that he was a friend of his parents. Angel suspected he was not entirely on the up and up. He further explained that Rolando was the son of Maggie who had no parents or grandparents to help her care for him.

Aurora and JC put Demon on the bed and Carmelita ran to call the doctor. Demon asked for his father. Aurora called Fabrizio who could no believe that Demon drank that much. He was ready to blame Helena.

Angel and Helena kissed and said “Nothing will separate us” yet again [so we can expect this to happen in the nest two episodes].

JC had difficulty imagining that Demon could have a broken heart. Jezabel came home; Aurora explained why they had called the doctor. Jezabel saw Fabrizio's luggage and explained he was moving in. Aurora was shocked at that as Jezabel went upstairs. JC excused himself to leave and tend to his own [equally sick] son.

Jezabel went into Demon's room. The doctor told her Demon had vomited and there was an IV. He did not want to talk. Fabrizio finally decided to go to a nearby hotel [very sensible of him], but Demon got him to stay.

Pintas looked at the photo, still not believing this, but it dawned on him that Jezabel did not know that Angel was her nephew [If he knew her half as well as we do he would know that this wouldn't make any difference.]

Aurora asked Jezabel why Fabrizio was to move in. She answered that it was for Demon, finishing with “Demon is the future of this family.” Aurora, however, said she was convinced that her son was alive. She and JC were going to investigate this. Jezabel got Aurora to stay, adding that Antonio was also in the city.
 

Angel/Aurora. Another excellent recap, Urban! Good one about the expectation of Helena and Angel separating in the next couple of episodes. If it weren't so early (presumably) in this novel, I would suspect that Pintas' attempt to kill Angel might end up revealing Angel's true identity, but not likely yet.

Thanks Urban, great details. I’m wondering if Pintas will kill his own son. I think there’s a chance he would. Why is he so sure Angel is his son, doesn’t he realize Antonio could be the father.
I’m glad Aurora mentioned Demon didn’t feel love for Helena. JC is also aware of this. Meanwhile Demon can’t even be nice to his one friend.

Pintas loves the idea of defiling innocence. He is corrupting Rolando, once corrupted El Morro but raping the beautiful, refined daughter of a wealthy family would be the ultimate high for him. He would love to lord that over Antonio.

Which is why I hope Antonio is Angel's bio-dad. This would have to mean that he is not Helena's bio-dad. It's way too early for these revelations.
