FUGITIVAS #32 Part 1

As Alejandro leaves, he calls Lorena. Brenda follows him down the stairs barely a foot away, listening to his conversation. Overhearing everything, she grabs the phone from him and angrily threatens to put Lorena in jail!

Lorena hangs up as Alejandro grabs the phone back from Brenda. Still fighting to get it back, she continues to argue with him to no avail. He rather cooly turns and leaves.

Lorena is beside herself as she cries with frustration to her friends, Marta cradling Loren’s face in her hand.

Brenda runs to Ismael and tells him what happened – are you sure he queries? She brings up Florencia but he defends her.

Lisset is in the office straightening up the desk and disdainfully throws a magazine with Arturo on the cover to the side. Uh oh, the safe is in plain view as she smiles.

Eddy Haskell (Arturo) tries to make nice to Gabriela (but the second his back is to her his smile turns malicious). He seems to ask her to keep him updated on Vincente.

Vincente talks with his boss and finds out one the sad background of one of the boys who was abandoned.

Carmen enters their bedroom and confronts Dario. Dario is still furious and Carmen’s pleas do nothing to assuage him. She tries to reach out to him and he pushes her hands away. He tells her to get her things and git.

Matias motions Frida into his room. He talks about his father and “Carmen” (why does he not refer to her as “mother”?)

Sofia and Alejandro meet. She is feeding him phone numbers…I believe he is still trying to reach Vilchis.

FUGITIVAS #32 Part 2

Brenda visits Vilchis, his sister is feeding him. She sits down and starts peppering him with questions about Lorena. He keeps looking at his sister. She then shows him Alejandro’s picture…Vilchis and his sister stare at each other helplessly.

At breakfast the women sit down but there is no sign of Carmen. Frida goes to the bar and finds Dario. She doesn’t seem to notice he is down in the dumps and tries to cheer him up. She does manage to make him smile as her sweetness is infectious and uplifting.

Brenda is back at Ismael’s reporting on what happened. Nicolas darkens the door. Brenda seems out for blood, determined to show everyone what a dangerous criminal Lorena is.

Nico texts (I assume) Arturo that he has important information on Lorena.

Vilchis tells his sister he is sorry for all the harm he is doing to Lorena. His sister frets that his lies are going to be discovered. Then the bad guy who has been keeping them in line returns.

Matias is horrid to Marta as she tries to reason with him and explain…He says basta! She killed his abuelo and he will not listen to Marta’s defense. Marta later goes into his room and despite his declarations he isn’t interested, she defends herself. It was an accident she assures him. She gets emotional trying to explain, saying her husband was violent. She narrates what happened and that she spent many years in jail. She ends up begging him but he is stone faced and unyielding. She finally turns and leaves. I say Dario should throw Matias out with Carmen.

Alejandro calls Erick and asks him to give the phone to Lorena. He tells her things are not going well and they need to meet. Is everything all right Erick asks her? No she admits.

Dario and Frida are outside sitting close under a tree discussing his problems. She tells him what a good kid Matias is (I beg to differ). He tells her how kind and sympathetic she is. Eventually he kisses her and the one kiss turns into several. Things threaten to spiral out of control so Dario gets up and he and Frida kiss in a standing position.

Snitch Nico and Arturo meet. Arturo lets him know who is in charge.

Frida bids a not so fond good night to cranky Charo.

FUGITIVAS #32 Part 3 of 3

A kinder, gentler Vincente welcomes Gabriela home. She tells him she had a visit from Arturo. His entire demeanor instantly changes and he pouts a bit. After they change the subject, his good mood returns.

Alejandro gets on his bike as Brenda tails him in her car.

Patricio gives Ismael his cell phone where a reporter is giving the public an update on Lorena Martinez.

Back at the bar, Dario thanks a beaming Frida and holds her head in his hands as he kisses her again. She runs off as he smiles.

Alejandro roars up to the restaurant where he is meeting Lorena. He dons his backpack as Brenda watches from the car.

Ismael finds a note from Florencia and as he reads it, she comes up behind him, kissing him. He kisses her a bit but then holds up his hands and backs up. He leaves and her face reflects her anger and frustration.

Frida goes back in the bedroom acting like a lovestruck teenager. She tells Montse who smiles but then asks “Carmen?” They quickly put her aside as the two friends jump up and down in excitement.

Lorena walks toward the restaurant with her hoodie pulled up but Brenda runs out, her gun trained on Lorena and orders her to stop! Lorena stares like a deer caught in the headlights.

Except for Frida and Dario leaving the friend zone, things seem to be moving at a snail’s pace. I had to rely on what I saw rather than heard as the dialogue mostly eluded me.

Thank you Diana. This was great. Yes, his was a slow moving episode but that was okay.

I get the feeling that that Carmen is not Matías' mother. She doesn't act like a mother to him, he refers to her as Carmen and Darío was angry that she tried to use his son against him.

A few extras:
Alejandro is trying to find out who called Vilchis and if there is a call that had something to do with the Márquez's. He has no luck after talking to a pizzeria and a shoe repair shop. Sofía concludes that Vilchis' phone will not lead them to who beat Vilchis. Alejandro says they must have been watching Vilchis and decided to shut him up when he appeared on the scene. . He calls Vilchis' sister leaving her a message that they have to file charges against the people who beat her brother. He can understand why Vilchis would not want to ever see him again but refuses to give up.

Amanda tries to nail down Vilchis' testimony with very specific questions that, of course, he has to make up answers for. He says Lorena sent him messages in envelopes left at the bank entrance with his name on them. He destroyed them. He cannot "remember" the exact date of when he ran into Lorena again. Amanda needs the exact date so they can review what the cameras recorded that day. She is also going to review cameras around their residence from the night before. She then asks if he knows Alejandro. He lies and says that he never has seen him.

Amanda tells Ismael they should take the Lorena story and what she did to Vilchis to the press. He refuses.

Arturo tells Nico that if Nájera ever got wind of the fact that Ismael had an affair with Lorena, that would be the end of his political career and that would not be good for neither Nico or himself.

Ismael asks Patricio who leaked the info about the beaten Vilchis being in the hospital to the press. They cannot come up with anyone.

Jarifa, thank you for all of these important and noteworthy details which you did exceptionally well as always.

Why ever did I call Amanda "Brenda" throughout the recap? My apologies, I'm more tired than I realized...

Jarifa, "I get the feeling that that Carmen is not Matías' mother. She doesn't act like a mother to him, he refers to her as Carmen and Darío was angry that she tried to use his son against him". I think you are exactly right! One of the things I really like about this show is that not everything is immediately obvious, but bit by bit, becomes so over time.

I understand Alejandro is acting in the best interests of Lorena in pressuring Vilchis, but he is putting him and his sister in grave danger; not only from Arturo but also obsessive, relentless Brenda. Something has got to give.

I hadn't realized Vilchis denied meeting Alejandro!
 
I wonder when we'll meet Najera! :)

Thanks Diana and Jarifa. I have a bit of this to finish watching because I jumped to Venganza so I could do that recap.

So I don't believe Carmen is Matias mother. The fact that Darius tells her they are kaput and he wants her gone, but she doesn't threaten to take Matias sealed that.

I don't understand Matias hating his grandma for killing a shadowy figure of a grandfather he has never met.

Alarm bells should have gone off for Brenda when vilchis was giving his statement. He kept looking at his sister to answer the questions. Hopefully she does look for security footage at his sister's place, though the story went in the previous episode that two thugs abducted him and brought him to Lorena. I'm sure Arturo has distanced himself from the guys who did the beat down.
 

Juana #28 part 1

Paula tells Juana that Gabriel hired a detective to find the girl carrying his baby. He has no interest in Juana and will take the baby from her when it’s born. Juana gave him the only thing Paula couldn’t. That’s the only reason she hates her. Juana leaves and Paula orders a drink. Camila is calling her. She doesn’t answer.

Enriqueta tells Gabriel Juana quit, he tells her Juana’s baby is his. She thinks the rumors were true and he explains it was an error in the clinic. He tells her Juana never wanted to know the father so he hasn’t told her yet.

Reny asks why Camila had him bring her to her mother if she wasn’t going to speak to her. Her mother doesn’t deserve to die in those conditions. Camila wants to know how much money he wants for his silence.

Gabriel calls Juana but she doesn’t answer. He calls the restaurant to see if the woman he was meeting is still there. She is.

Jenny is hanging clothes and thinking about Yardia and Salvador being together. She thinks back to the almost kiss. She tells God she doesn’t understand.

Salvador and Pacheco are talking about love and partners. Sal says a woman has the right to choose and jealousy is a problem.

Gabriel gets to the restaurant. Paula throws a drink in his face and tells him they both know he’s the father and the child is the only thing he wants. She takes off.

David is talking to Dani. She tells him Juana will see Gabriel outside of the brewery. He tells her Paula is crazy and ready to kill Juana. He asks why she didn’t tell him how Juana got pregnant. She tells him it was personal She gets a phone call. Juana is upset. David is listening. Dani asks to leave and David lets her. He seems a little too pleased.

Gabriel and Paula are arguing in the garage. She almost runs over Gabriel and the driver when she pulls out.

Yadia is talking Salvador into a romantic dinner at Jenny’s workplace. She tells him Jenny was jealous when she was talking earlier.

FGabriel and his driver are both following The chauffeur behind calls for help.

Josefina and Pepito are making sweets when Ramon knocks on door. Josefina is furious and has a mountain of reasons to hurt him He has no right to see his kids The kids show up, Jenny is thrilled and hugs him. Felipe wants to erase his face from his mind, he’s leaving and hopes Ramon will be gone when he returns. Memo and the daughter are talking by his stall. Some woman approach. She’s new in town. Yes, she introduces herself, Margarita Bravo.

Paula’s car goes over the cliff. Gabriel and the chauffeur run down the hill. Gabriel lifts Paula from the car. The chauffeur calls an ambulance

Juana tells Dani that Gabriel was never interested in her, only his baby.

I found it interesting that Dario is throwing Carmen out before knowing about her previous "life". Great point in that she showed her true colors in not threatening to take Matias.

Juana #28 part 2

Juana tells Dani all that Paula told her, and the nurse. Dani can’t believe it. Paula can be lying. Dani thinks they should find out if the baby is really Gabriel’s.

Jenny fixes food for her dad. He tells her he has no excuse, simply had to flee from all. He asks forgiveness but she says there’s nothing to forgive.

Felipe is upset and looking for something at work. Chimo tells him to calm down. Felipe is upset about the past coming back. Chismo has never seen him like this. Felipe says his father abandoned them like dogs.

The ambulance is there. Gabriel gets in the back with Paula.

Rogelio is talking to his criminal partner. Salvador is clean, doesn’t think he can be bought. Rogelio feels if you can’t corrupt them you can make them disappear. He then tell Rogelio that he heard Camila trying to buy Reny’s silence.

Camila has a flashback to her father trying to rape her. She grabs a gun and kills him. She looked like a teen and that he had raped are previously, maybe often.

Carlos and Enriqueta are at the vats talking about the bacteria. They then talk about their personal life. Carlos doesn’t think they resolved it. He doesn’t seem to like her with Juana’s uncle. She tells him he’s jealous. They were good together but both in control.

Josefina is crying. She wasn’t sufficient for him. He abandoned her and she doesn’t want him here. Why does love hurt. Meanwhile Jenny is very content as she watches her dad eat. She remembers going to the park. Felipe wants to know what he wants. Felipe tells him he’s not his son, you’re not my father. As he leaves he tells Jenny he’ll be close and has her number.

Camila tells Rogelio it was a good day for Paula, she’s going to be victorious. Camila says she helped Paula. Rogelio wants to know if she has something to tell him. Maybe about one of the brewery drivers. She wonders if he’s going to control who he talks to, he says he owns her. Then he gets a call about Paula’s accident.

Felipe wants to protect Josefina so she doesn’t have to worry about Ramon. She says he’ll be here because Jenny wants to see him and it’s not just her house, it’s his and Jenny’s and Juana’s too.

Juana is eating at Dani’s. Dani’s mom is concerned she’s not eating Juana leaves the table and the mom asks Dani what’s wrong. Dani tells her Fabriel is bad, calculating and doesn’t care about the feelings of others.

Enriqueta is working and sees the note from Felipe about the colors she brings him. She smiles and calls him. She asks him what he’s looking for with her. He wants to know her better, know her dreams, her fears her pain.

Yardia and Salvador enter the restaurant, lots of squeals from Yardia. Meanwhile Ricardo introduces Jenny to the patrons of the restaurant, he twirls her around and bends her over for a kiss. Salvador is not happy and leaves. Yardia likes to see him angry and kisses him twice. Inside Jenny tells her boss never to touch her again.

Aparo is at the hospital. If Paula dies she’ll die with her. Rogelio comes in very angry and blames Gabriel for the accident.

These rich people without handsfree calling in their cars! 5 years ago we bought the cheapest Ford Escape out there and even it has that capability. All the car chase people were picking up their phones to call!

Bingo time. Will Paula be permanently disfigured from the gash in her head, suffer amnesia or be paralyzed? I'm sure it will be something.

All along I have felt a little sorry for Camila. She definitely had a horrible childhood. Often a mother is aware of the abuse but chooses to turn a blind eye. Perhaps that is why she hates her mother. I just don't understand how she and Paula crossed paths. I thought they were school friends.

So, Ramon left the family ...why?? Just because ? I want to know more. I can't believe that Jenny is welcoming him back with open arms.

Oh no, the car crash bingo square, and now Gabriel will feel he must stay by her annoying, shallow, grasping side. Uff.

Sal is still my favorite character .He is so normal compared to all the crazies .

Camila had a truly awful past that turned her into a scheming,not nice person . Perhaps she met rich, spoiled Paula through Francisco.

By the way, we haven't seen Francisco's mother !ate!y susan

Did Paula deliberately cause the accident? Because she couldn't be so furious when Juana was the one who got the shock of her life there.
I am a bit irritated that we have this whole forgiving and unforgiving child competition going on. I bet Jenny blames her mum for her father leaving. But 'nothing to forgive' is really strange,especially as she herself knows how hard it is to raise a child alone. But then again, Juana seems a parent in this relationship so it's easy for Jenny to talk. It's interesting she doesn't realize how much her father's abandonment affects her relationships with men. I hate it when they are forgiving towards irresponsible men in these shows.
I can't feel sorry for Gabriel. Hewaited for far too long. Paula now got the chance to make up all this stuff. And I do still think his desire for kids is a bit too obsessive. Men and their bloodlines...oh well...

Thanks for the comments. Yes it was crazy calling each other in a chase where the cars were probably speeding. I think Paula looked down at her phone and when she looked up she saw the other car.

Juana kept telling Gabriel she didn’t want to know the father, it would be her and the baby. And he did try a couple of times and got interrupted. Paula made it seem he always knew but I don’t know how long from the time they met and he saw her on the video.

FUGITIVAS #33 Part 1

Lorena walks toward the restaurant with her hoodie pulled up but Amanda runs out, her gun trained on Lorena, ordering her to stop! Lorena stares like a deer caught in the headlights.

Fortunately for Lorena, a woman stops behind her and seeing the gun, starts screaming. Lorena takes advantage of the unexpected diversion and runs off like the wind, Amanda, calling it in on her radio, taking off in hot pursuit.

Ismael leaves a fuming Florencia…

Giving chase, Amanda is further thwarted by a moving pallet and a car, both temporarily blocking her way. She hails a squad car and has them chase Lorena, screaming to herself.

Alejandro, solo at the restaurant calls Erick as to where Lorena might be.

Vero gets a call from an angry Florencia about Ismael. She vents but getting no sympathy or satisfaction from Vero, she calls…ta da…Nicolas!!!! She will go to his place. He looks like the cat that swallowed the canary. Sigh.

Frida, with stars in her eyes, is still enumerating all of Dario’s fine qualities to Montse. They smile until Montse brings up the big fly in the ointment, Carmen, a sobering topic.

Later Lisset joins the girls when Lorena comes in, pale, out of breath and crying, telling them what happened.

Vilchis, looking the worse for wear stares as the bad guy plays a tape of Alejandro leaving a message. He threatens them.

FUGITIVAS #33 Part 2

Amanda is crying and mewling to Ismael about Lorena when Patricio comes in. Patricio upbraids her and then ends up hugging her, making “eyes” to Ismael – what can he do? It’s his daughter.

Erick comes back and the girls fill him in.

Alejandro returns to his apartment as Lorena calls him and relates she ran into a policewoman, with a gun. “Amanda” Alejandro guesses correctly. She asks for an update on Vilchis. I gather he is going to try and continue to investigate the murder to find the real killer.

“Come in” said the spider to the fly as Nico welcomes Florencia. She pours wine as he encircles her waist with his hands. They immediately start kissing.

Frida sees Lorena in tears. Lorena heartbrokenly cries that Ismael used her; he told her he loved her but just wanted to sleep with her. She believes he wants to convict her despite what the truth is. Frida tries to comfort her and puts her hand gently on her face. Lorena straightens herself up.

We were mercifully spared Nicolas and Florencia’s coupling. He is still in bed as she gets dressed and leaves…

Lorena leaves the bar to make a call.

Alejandro talks with Sofia but I didn’t understand what they said. His doorbell rings and it’s Amanda. He is not happy to see her! I saw a client of yours she said. Who he asks? “Lorena Martinez” she spits out. He tells her off ending with an ice cold “goodnight detective Rojas”. After he shuts the door he looks through the peephole and sees her lip trembling.

FUGITIVAS #33 Part 3

Lorena goes to a pay phone and calls Ismael. He is startled to hear from her. She tries to explain what unfolded the day Juan Pablo died. He starts yelling at her and she says what he is saying isn’t true. He defends Florencia. He keeps her talking as Patricio tries to trace the call. She protests her innocence but Ismael assures her that the only thing he cares about is catching her so that she pays for her crimes. She hangs up before the call can be traced.

Amanda meets with a man at a bar. She puts her hand on his thigh as she speaks passionately. (Is he a policeman? Reporter? Can anyone please identify who he is?)

Ismael and Patricio discuss Lorena. Did Patricio bring up the possibility she might be innocent?

Lorena is still crying as she returns to the bar…She delivers an order to the wrong table and Montse runs interference for her.

Frida is happily chatting Dario up at the bar as Carmen watches from the background. Montse comes up to place an order and Dario leaves to fetch a new bottle. In the interim, Carmen walks up and grabs Frida, pushing her into the kitchen. She warns her to stay away from her man. Frida reminds Carmen she is a married woman – and not to Dario! Frida doesn’t take her guff and walks out with Carmen pounding the counter in frustration.

Two timin’ Flor (who hasn’t showered or changed) had her cake and ate it but is back at Ismael’s greeting him when he returns home. Fresh from Nico’s bed (cringe) she tries to regain Ismael’s affection.

Carmen tries to throw her weight around with Frida but Dario isn’t having it, taking her elbow and marching her away. Dario tells Carmen it’s over and her tears have no effect.

FUGITIVAS #33 Part 4 of 4

Lorena, whose bad day seems endless, continues to cry to Frida.

It seems at first Ismael tells Florencia he doesn’t want to give her another chance. She tells him she loves him with all of her heart. In the end, he says it’s late and asks her to stay there at the apartment.

The man Brenda met with calls her as Patricio walks into the office. He asks what is going on (I’d like to know too!) He tells her to make a call which she does. She then hangs up and starts yelling at her father. Patricio tells her she is acting fueled on emotion rather than facts. All this isn’t about Lorena, it’s about Alejandro Castillo!

Lisset tries to cheer Lorena up.

Alejandro surprises Vilchis’ sister and begs her to tell the truth. I did not hear her reply.

Thank you, Diana, for your excellent retelling of all of the action tonight and there was plenty. Loved your commentary.

Extras-

Frida tells Lisset that Carmen and Darío are not married and Matías is not her son. Lisset warns her about Carmen since this is about Darío. Lisset is willing to wait and see what happens. The next fly in the ointment that Lisset reminds her that they are planning on moving to Brazil and Darío doesn't know the truth about her. Frida is not sure she is going to tell him because if she does, he will hate her and all of them. She is planning on enjoying her time left with him all she can.

Lorena is pushed over the edge when Alejandro tells her that now Vilchis is accusing her of having him beaten up besides killing JP. Alejandro will continue to investigate the case and tells her NOT TO LEAVE THE OASIS FOR ANY REASON. (But of course she does!!)

Amanda meets with Pepe who was surprised that she called him. He says he was surprised to hear from her because he thought she wouldn't want to see him again. She says that her job has her involved in people who do illegal things and he is one of them. She asks him if he could hack Alejandro's phone. He cannot believe a police officer asking him to hack a phone line. He guesses that the judge denied her request and she thought of him.She hopes to get evidence to bring before the judge. He says she always gets what she wants. She answers not always. (sad trombone time)

Yes, Patricio did bring up the possibility that Lorena just might be innocent and that didn't go over well with Ismael.

Frida threatens to tell tell Darío the truth about Carmen: her real name is Perla not Carmen/she is a married woman/ she worked as an exotic dancer for El Turco and stole the money from the cash drawer. She also tells Carmen she is a piece of garbage and doesn't deserve a man like Darío. That shuts Carmen up

Carmen tries to fire Lorena but Darío isn't having it. He wants her to leave his house and the bar. She complains that they both worked from the start on creating the bar. He agrees and he respected her as an owner when they were together but they are not any longer. He reminds her that the investment, permits and the real estate were/are all in his name. He wants her moved out by tomorrow.

After saying that he is not interested in trying to rescue his marriage with Flo for the umpteenth time, Ismael finally gives in and says he doubts it is going to work but he will give their marriage another try. He tells her to stay. He will take the couch and she can have the bed. Then tomorrow they can start to see what it is like being around each other.

Amanda has everything set up with the hacker to hack Alejandro's phone when Patricio overhears her. He makes her call Pepe back and cancel his services. He tells an overwrought Amanda that the end does not justify the means and that she could lose her job by doing something so unethical and illegal. He sees that all she wants to do is aggravate Alejandro. She insists it is about Lorena she will get Lorena any way she can. He warns her that if he discovers she is doing something improper, he will take her off the case.

Vilchis' sister tells Alejandro that if he approaches her or her brother again, she will go to the police and file harassment charges against him.

Fabulous Jarifa, thank you. Picture perfect extras! You clarified so much...

Frida hasn't been honest with Dario and based on the way he treated his mother initially, he doesn't seem to be a very forgiving individual. Perhaps he's learned his lesson a bit?

"She complains that they both worked from the start on creating the bar. He agrees and he respected her as an owner when they were together but they are not any longer. He reminds her that the investment, permits and the real estate were/are all in his name". Dario may have "respected" her but as in many all too real life situations, women are denied ownership of things they have worked hard to create because they didn't legally protect themselves.

Ismael is spineless and indecisive.

What will Alejandro do now? It seems unlikely he will cease and desist. I can't wait.

I'll watch this today but I have some observations. I agree Friday will most likely lose Darius if he finds out about her past. I don't think it is fair to him to have your fun and then split. I know she will be heartbroken also, but it still doesn't make it right.

I do not see Ismael and Lorena end game. I think she will end up with Alejandro. He is so much nicer ( and better looking imo) anyhow.
 

OT with no shows on Thursday or Friday I guess it will be a good time to catch up on Precio Amarte. Is anyone watching it?
 

Juana # 29 part 1

Gabriel explains what happened to Paula’s family. Rogelio tells him if his daughter doesn’t recuperate Gabriel will die. Carlos tells him to calm down. Juana and

Juana and Dani are with Gabriel’s doctor. He tells them Gabriel is the father and he and his wife want the baby very much. Dani tells the doctor to leave Juana in peace. Juana says the baby isn’t a package to be passed to someone. She tells him “the baby is mine”.

Jenny wakes up on her birthday and the house is empty. Ramon calls her and sings happy birthday.

Pacheco tells Salvador they’re a team and can resolve all their cases. Salvador says this is his private life. It was supposed to make Jenny jealous but he was the one that got jealous. Pacheco thinks Sal should see both women.

Yadia arrives at Jenny’s to tell her they were at the restaurant last night. They saw her being kissed and Sal kissed her, Yadia, like in the movies.

Josefina is at the market and the ladies are talking in a group and looking at her. They pass by and speak. She tells Memo if they have nothing to talk about they invent something. Memo tells her Ramon has returned to the neighborhood

Ramon tells Margarita Jenny is the only one happy he’s back. Felipe has hate in his eyes.

Enriqueta is doing yoga when doorbell rings. It’s Felipe and it looks like he brought breakfast.

Juana is telling Dani Gabriel wants to take her baby from her. She thinks back to the warnings she got from her mother and grandmother.

Paula suffered a strong hit to her head. They can’t see her yet.

Memo gets Josefina a soda. She tells him it was Ramon who kept calling the night of the dinner. She says Felipe feels like she does but Jenny is happy.

Enriqueta gets coffee for them. He wanted, needed to see her. He apologizes for the balloons in the office. She needs to go to work, he says have breakfast, she kisses him.

Ramon brings a cake with one candle for Jenny. She cries because since he left no one has done this for her. Margarita comes in and says hi. Ramon says she’s her sister. Margarita is 18. Two years younger than Juana. Ramon is surprised he has a granddaughter. Juana’s dad left when he found out she was pregnant. Margarita’s mother left when she was 10, same age Jenny was when Ramon left. Margarita says her dad always talked about her and Felipe. Ramon gives her money for her birthday. She’ll have a party. They’re invited.

Gabriel feels guilty and responsible for the accident. Carlos wonders why he never told Juana. Because she didn’t want to know the father.

Rogelio and Manuel are talking. Manuel is worried about being discovered about the bacteria. Rogelio starts shouting about his son-in-law where others can hear. When they get in Rogelio’s office Manuel wonders if he’ll do the same to Gabriel as he did with Francisco. Camila comes in and tells Rogelio that Juana’s baby is Gabriel’s.

Juana#29 part 2

David asks Dani how Juana is. She tells him she’s bad, that Paula was at the restaurant and told her, David guessed the rest. Dani is surprised he knew. He said he suspected, then Gabriel told him. He tells about Paula and blames Gabriel.

A coworker comes in to tell Manuel she’s sorry. He doesn’t understand Gabriel’s obsession with the photographer. She tells him he pretends to be cold and strong but she knows he’s sensitive. He says no one in the family is as they seem.

The doctor tells Aparó and Gabriel what happens to a patient with a bad head injury. It will be a long recovery and they have to be calm. Patients lose their balance, have mood changes and memory loss. Gabriel goes to Aparó and gives her a gentle kiss on her head. She seems touched by the gesture.

David shows up at Juana’s. Josefina thought she was at work. Juana tells her Gabriel only wanted something from her and he’s not going to get it.

Felipe and Enriqueta are in bed, naked. Felipe feels pure happiness. Then he tells Enriqueta about his father Enriqueta thinks back to Gabriel telling her about Juana and she asks Felipe about the father of Juana’s baby. He says it’s a long story.

Jenny tells Josefina it’s her birthday and she’s having a party. She tells her she invited her father.

Margarita is mad at Ramon for giving Jenny money. He says he hasn’t given her anything in 25 years. He tells her not to tell anyone about his illness.

David has never seen Juana so sad. He tells her he’s there for her and the baby He tells her he gets nervous and jealous around her and says the wrong things. She never thought Gabriel was the selfish type who would take her baby. She feels sorry for Paula. David tells her to think of herself.

Josefina is furious that Jenny invited Ramon. Jenny forgot her mom’s birthday and gives her a hug. Jenny invites David. She tells Juana she invited her grandfather.
Enriqueta is late for work. Felipe wants to do it again. No time.

Gabriel and Aparó are in Paula’s hospital room. Gabriel is ready to go but Aparó says he can’t abandon Paula, he needs to be there when she wakes up

Juana doesn’t want to tell her mom what’s wrong yet. She’s happy for her mom. Jenny tells Juana she had a sister.

Yadia arrives at Salvador’s desk to tell him it’s Jenny’s birthday and they’re going to the party together.

Felipe arrives home very happy. Josefina is not. Then she tells him his dad is invited. That upsets him.

David goes to the hospital and speaks to Aparo. She tells him Paula might not recover completely. Gabriel follows him out. David says it’s all Gabriel’s fault, he only thinks of himself. Gabriel tells him to go. David grabs him and tells him Juana knows that the baby is the only thing important to him and she doesn’t want him in her life.

Two things to add. When we first met Ramon and Margarita they were looking up at the sky and talking about her mom. I thought she was dead. And David is just being a backstabbing friend who seems to be very opinionated.

Liz, thank you for another great recap . I appreciate you bringing us all the details as things get more and more complicated .

Paula was a terrible person, but NIW we feel sorry for her. Perhaps she won't remember anyone. Gabriel will feel he should stay with her. Also, Juana now thinks that Gabriel only wants the baby thanks to Paula and David.

Maybe Margarita is not as nice as I thought she was since she didn't like Ramon giving money to Jenny for her birthday.

Diana, EXACTLY: "Dario may have "respected" her but as in many all too real life situations, women are denied ownership of things they have worked hard to create because they didn't legally protect themselves." I actually felt sorry for her . . . for a second.

I wish Ismael would smile just once. Juan Martín Jáuregui is not a bad looking guy at all.

As for Frida, I hope she has a good time with Darío before pushing off for Brazil but she better not end up pregnant. Isn't there almost always an unplanned pregnancy in these novelas?

Kat, I might be totally wrong but I don't see the fugitivas (especially Frida) actually fleeing the country.

Dario and Frida have more than sizzling chemistry, they really seem to have bonded first as friends and now, something more. I have a feeling they might work it out, IF he is more forgiving to her than he was to his mother. This is providing she isn't sent back to jail for a long sentence when the Fugitias are inevitably caught or turn themselves in. If we knew what crime she was accused of, I can't remember.

I liked Ismael at first but his believing Lorena is guilty and his indecisiveness about Florencia has changed my mind. I think she will end up with Alejandro too.

Jarifa, I have to admit I felt badly for Carmen for a split second and then when I snapped back to reality remembering who she "is," I dismissed it.

I actually did think Ismael was going to give Florencia another chance at the very end but thought I had to be wrong as he had done nothing but rebuff her almost their entire conversation! :(

"Isn't there almost always an unplanned pregnancy in these novelas?" There certainly is!! I completely agree there is a good chance Frida will end up pregnant!!

'said the spider to the fly' has to be my favouritedescription of a telenovela couple.Sex apparently is Flo'sway of releasing anger. But does she even know what she wants? She doesn't love Ismael. I suspect she doesn't love anyone really. Are his possible future prospects worth being miserable? I keep thinking Florencia would be diagnozed with something because her behaviour is disturbing.
Can Lorena listen to Alejandro for once? Ismael has never listened to her. What makes her think he'll listen now?
It's always so interesting and sad to see women like Amanda needing to get back at someone. It's a good thing her father is there, otherwise her access tocriminals and the power she has would cost a great deal to Lorena.
How is it that Dario didn't make sure things were fair when he registered everything? He supposedly loved Carmen at the time. He doesn't know the truth and still basically threw her out. I don't know...Carmen comes across as a bit too naive, especially given the fact she is willing to resort to stealing and lying. I was expecting her to say she had the previous documents changed or something. Dario seemed such a good person.

Completely agree with your comments on Florencia: "She doesn't love Ismael. I suspect she doesn't love anyone really". Is she is going to run to Nicolas (who she seems to barely tolerate at times) every time she has a tiff with Ismael? She better change out her heels for a pair of sneakers. Ismael is so undecisive he will likely change his mind again before she has a chance to settle back into the apartment.

Lorena doesn't listen to Ale, does she?? :)

Amanda is so lucky that Patricio is there to set her on the right path. She is so headstrong, taking things too personally and acting inappropriately, things generally frowned upon by law enforcement.

FUGITIVAS #34 Part 1

Alejandro surprises Vilchis’ sister and begs her to tell the truth. Vilchis' sister tells Alejandro that if he approaches her or her brother again, she will go to the police and file harassment charges against him.

Alejandro tries to question her, asking if Arturo Marquez is behind everything. She isn’t talking.

Dario and Marta chat and she asks about Matias. Dario asks her for patience for him to come around. She says she has all the patience in the world for her grandson!

Vero complains to Florencia that Nicolas is cheating on her; a woman was seen going into his apartment AND she has blonde hair!!! Vero stares but fails to deduce the obvious. Flor is cool as a cucumber as Vero fumes and vows to find out who the woman is. Flor tells her she is obsessed but Vero pleads with her amiga to help her. Florencia offers to help her out of the goodness of her heart. No, not really. She just wants to keep Vero from finding out SHE is the mystery woman!

Ismael arrives at work. Amanda comes in with photos but Lorena isn’t visible in any of them (I believe). They discussed her and Alejandro.

A fun scene of Vincente at work with his “kids”. Teo is absent and he asks the kids if they know where he is.

Nico gets a call and his face softens, it is Florencia. She wants him to come to the office; he isn’t happy but agrees.

Patricio calls Marta and asks her to go for coffee. She looks down and doesn’t answer but he pleads and she agrees!

FUGITIVAS #34 Part 2

Nico arrives asking for Florencia. Vero sees him and gives him the stink eye. Florencio tells Nico that Vero knows he was with someone! She asks him to go back with Vero so no one will find out they are lovers. He is upset (“inferno” is mentioned) and doesn’t want to do it. She begs him enticingly, peppering him with quick kisses and he caves…

Dario opens the closet in his bedroom and it is empty. He smiles.

Veronica emerges from her office, Nicolas in tow. Silly Vero falls right into the trap as Nicolas asks her to forgive him (not looking the least bit sorry I must say). He asks her to go back with him and she grabs him and pelts him with kisses as he tries to look happy. 😊

Vincente has tracked down Teo who writes the letter “M” on a piece of paper. He tries to talk very haltingly, saying mama. Vincente gives him a hug. Teo is so sweet.

Patricio gives one of his marvelous baritone laughs as he and Marta have a Coke and think it over. He has something to ask her that’s important. Lorena Martinez in particular. He starts talking and questioning her. She take umbrage and gets up to leave but he apologizes.

Florencia hands Arturo an unflattering article about him on her phone. We see it being read and shared many times. Gabriela sits and reads it out loud. Ismael and Amanda are also reading it as is Lorena. Alejandro is also taking it in, a broad smile on his face. I gather the man that Alejandro met with earlier was Quiroga, the journalist who wrote the article (?) Arturo is livid of course and wants to deny the scurrilous defamatory words…Florencia blames Alejandro.

Shockingly, Florencia isn’t overjoyed at Nicolas and Vero’s reconciliation. Nico kisses Vero on the forehead and skedaddles out of there as fast as he can. Florencia is upset and cuts Vero off when she starts in on her rekindled romance. Florencia reams her out and Vero leaves.

Vincente talks to his boss (name still unknown) about Teo.

Alejandro’s doorbell rings and it’s Arturo. He enters, fury written all over his face. He is ready to deny the accusations. When he insults Lorena, Alejandro tells him he needs to show respect and grabs him by his suit lapels. Arturo threatens him…

A reporter confronts Claudio’s sister in the hospital corridor, tape recorder in hand…

More heavenly laughs from Patricio as he walks Marta home. Noticing Marta’s quietness, he asks if she is having more problems with her son. She says no, it’s her grandson who is having a hard time understanding everything that transpired leading to her incarceration. He is my nieto she says, choking up a bit. He looks a bit awkward as he admits he can’t hide his feelings for her any longer; she is incredible! Marta looks genuinely shocked and at a loss for words. He asks for an opportunity and she nods her head asking for time and turns away, still perplexed.

Vilchis’ sister goes to his bedside and looking out the window, sees the crowd of reporters outside. Btw, Vilchis is looking worse by the minute. The bad guy comes into the room…

Frida and Dario meet and he tells her how much she means to him, bestowing a gentle kiss that she returns with much sweet ardor.

Florencia and Arturo discuss Alejandro…

Alejandro’s doorbell rings again and it’s a full legal contingent: Ismael, Nicolas, Amanda and other police. They have a search warrant and start routing through the apartment, bagging paperwork. As Nico goes toward Alejandro’s computer, Ale steps up and grabs it back…Ismael starts to intervene…

I hope what I was able to capture was correct although there was quite a bit of dialogue I couldn’t interpret.

Diana, I think you got it all. One thing I noted, Patricio and Marta have a song now. I guess that makes them end game. Frida and Darius so far don't. I forget who thought the Fugitivas would not end up going to Argentina, but I guess I agree with that guess. I don't know what crimes the other 3 were in for, theft I imagine. None seem to be doing drugs so I doubt it was that.

Enjoy your 2 nights of. I have two episodes of Venganza to catch up with. Since Steve isn't able to view in real time I guess I will recap them more thoroughly. It will give me something to do the next couple of nights.

Theft seems to be a very plausible crime for the fugitivas!

I haven't felt the fugitivas were going to leave Mexico, but I'm sure glad Ester seems (hopefully) gone for good.

Juana # 30 part 1

Gabriel tells David he felt something for Juana before he knew it was his child. David doesn’t believe him, all he ever wanted was an heir. He took an innocent girl and made her fearful and insecure.

Josefina and Felipe don’t want Juana in their house. Juana says this was her mother’s dream. She would talk to Juana about wanting to see her dad when Juana was little.

The neighbor women bring cake and beer. Felipe tells Jenny their dad can’t come.

Gabriel wants to leave the hospital, but Apari says he has to be here when she wakes up. She wakes up wondering where she is.

Felipe tells Jenny to have her birthday with Ramon, just not here. Juana says it will make her mom happy.

Yadira comes to see Salvador. She wants to bring him to the party. He wasn’t invited. But Yadira will bring him as her guest. She’s all over him. He tells her he’s working. Pacheco tells him they’re going to the party.

Camila tells herself she needs to keep playing the victim so they don’t suspect her. She takes off her wedding ring. With Paula and Juana out of the picture she’ll be Camila Rubio.

Rogelio is talking to Manuel. It will be a problem to their plans if Gabriel has a legitimate heir.

Paula thinks she’s in the hospital because she lost her baby. She doesn’t remember what happened but the doctor says that’s normal.

Enriqueta and Carlos are talking about the bacteria in the beer. He thinks it’s an inside job. Then he wonders how Rogelio will react when he finds out Juana is having Gabriel’s baby. He feels Paula’s marriage to Gabriel was to get their names in the business.

Enriqueta is thinking of Felipe when he calls asking how’s the most beautiful girl on the planet. He wonders if that morning was a dream. When she says, no he says life is beautiful. Margarita is helping Ramon get ready for the party. Don Memo comes in and gives him a pack of cigarettes that Ramon went out for. They were good friends who used to sit and talk. But Memo tells Ramon that when he disappeared Josefina lost her smile. Your family was so important to you! Ramon tells him he was young and adventurous. When Memo tells him not to hurt Josefina Ramon tells him he won’t have time as he’s dying.

As party guests arrive Yadira shows up. Jenny doesn’t remember inviting her. She didn’t!

Juana #30 part 2

Dani is doing Juana’s makeup. Dani says you have a lot of good things in your life. Yes, my family, health, you and the baby. Dani adds, and David. She’s accepted they’ll never be a couple. Juana says they’re just friends. Juana tells her the family doesn’t know Gabriel is the father yet because it’s her mom’s birthday and she wants a calm day. And her grandfather is here too.

Yadira tells Chismo she’s into the detective now.

Pacheco is talking Salvador into going to the party. He’s got two women now and Yadira is crazy about him. Sal replies that Jenny hates him. He needs to stop and get a gift.

The party is outside. Ladies find out David is single and Yadira leaves Chismo on the dance floor and grabs David. Enriqueta arrives and Josefina isn’t very welcoming. Felipe tells her she’s upset because of his father. Yadira walks up to Felipe and Enriqueta. She tells Enriqueta Felipe was hers first and to look in a mirror, there’s no comparison. Did I mention Yadira looks like a prostitute, with her tight dress and heavy makeup. Jenny comes in with her dad, introduces him and asks for applause. Felipe is angry.

Rogelio is on the phone asking Aparó how Paula is. He sees Reny and wants to know how he knows Camila. Meanwhile Gabriel leaves the hospital, telling Paula she’s in good hands, her mom.

Josefina is crying about her horrible life. She’s going to take her sweets to San Pedro. Juana says she can’t as Juana loves them and her child will too.

Jenny and Ramon enter the house. Ramon thinks he should go and Felipe tells him he never should have come. Margarita tells him not to talk to his father that way. Felipe replies that he’s not his father.

Paula wonders why Gabriel left. He seemed angry and she wonders if he found out she takes pills so the artificial insemination won’t work. Camila comes in, overhearing this. Paula tells her mom that Camila is marrying Francisco. When Camila leaves Aparó warns her not to tell anyone about the pills.

Jenny brings Ramon to meet Juana. The detectives come in and Yadira gives Salvador a big kiss. He tells He tells Jenny he wasn’t invited but she says she would have invited him. Sal tells Ramon Jenny brings light like the stars. His gift is a picture of the night sky on the day of her birth.

Felipe tells his mom not to let Ramon keep her in her room. Go enjoy the party. She asks about Enriqueta. She doesn’t think they belong together.

Gabriel arrives and wants to speak to Juana. Jenny, then David, then the rest of the family all don’t want him to come in. The detectives try to take him outside. Enriqueta doesn’t understand why Dani and Juana don’t want to talk to him. Enriqueta says he’s not a bad person.

Paula is talking to her mom about Camila’s wedding invitations.

I think Pancheco and Margarita were giving each other a look over. Poor Chismo. Yadira is playing with his feelings in a rather oblivious way. I agree, she is dressing like a hooker. No wonder in a previous episode Chismo told her he couldn't appear in her adult films because he needed to lose weight.

I thought Camila already knew about Paula using BC to avoid getting pregnant. I guess she is still on them or she was careful with the male model from Spain whose name I have forgotten. I almost expected them to discover she was pregnant while in the hospital.

Kat, I love your optimism, not if but when it appears! I thought that when Aparo warned Camila not to say anything I thought she said she already knew. But I wasn’t sure. I should have played it back but was thinking more about going to bed. I would love it if Paula turned up pregnant!

I’m trying to think who Dani could pair up with. I am not liking David. He’s just trying to sabotage Gabriel and Juana’s relationship even though he supposedly is a good friend to both. Salvador is turning into quite the romantic.

I had missed, or not understood, the Chismo and Yadira’s movies. But from the looks of her last night that wouldn’t surprise me!

Thanks Susan. I thought she might be faking her amnesia, but I wonder if she’s blocked out the last years where Gabriel and she weren’t getting along. Juana’s coworkers were telling her the marriage has been bad for a while.
Rogelio is awful, but on a positive note, with Paula and Camila that’s only 3 villains. Manuel’s heart isn’t in it. We know Rogelio would kill, not sure about Paula and Camila. They seem more the sneaky, backstabbing sort.
