Part 1 of 3

Demon insisted that Gabriel was dead and tried to make Aurora look bad by accusing her of being obsessed with a phantom. Antonio subtly shook his head. Antonio said he will not permit him to talk like this. JC told Demon that Aurora had the right to leave her shares to anyone of her choice.

Patricia tried apologizing to Angel in the name of her daughter's happiness. Angel told her he and Briana were no longer an item and excused himself. As he walked away Patricia said it was a relief that Briana was not involved with him anymore. Helena saw through Patricia and told her “You have not changed and never will.” She walked into her office and closed the door in Patricia's face.

Jezabel got up, asking Demon why he always starts this up in meetings. Demon tried to make Aurora look mentally ill [Does nobody see his desperation?]. Aurora pointed out that she had been deceived and hindered all this time. Antonio said this had been unproven until now. JC said this had nothing to do with the running of the company. Jezabel did not agree with this, saying that this would have a domino effect. Antonio supported Aurora's decision and told Demon to worry about this when Gabriel appears. Aurora stood her ground, saying that this was for everyone's good.

A female doctor told Maggie that Rolando needed to be checked out ASAP by a specialist. He was being triggered by emotional stress that induces a catatonic stare.

Edgar told his mother that someone needed to be dealt with. Briana offered to help and asked to be introduced to her. He looked like he was thinking about it.

Maggie tried to get Rolando to calm down. She asked him what made him happy. He named his friends and occasions. His happiest memory of Anita was when she rescued him from Pintas; threa of kiddie jail. Maggie was shocked and so were the doctor, Luis, Glorio, and Aquiles.

Vicki passed out on the couch during a discussion with neighbors about helping Maggie and Rolando. Pascual got things from the bathroom.

The doctor who had tended to Rolando's emergency told the three guys to build a safe environment for Rolando away from home where the bou could express his emotions. They pointed out he needed to be string enough to testify in court. Luis was adamant that he could not handle this now. They discussed the possibility of group therapy. The doctor handed them a file.

Jezabel told Demon he didn't have to say more; they agreed. They speculated on whether Aurora knew something she wasn't talking about.

Aurora was fed up and didn't care if the peace was broken. JC said he 'd help. Both thought Antonio knew something. JC suggested they move to his place to be out of Jezabel's line of fire.

Antonio and Angel talked about the reaction to Aurora looking to recoup control Antonio said he should have seen Demon's reaction to Aurora's decision about her shares and yes, she can do that. Helena was still angry with her dad.

Demon asked Jezabel “If Gabriel is alive why has he not approached us? Is he planning something?” Jezabel confessed to him she had falsified the report of his death to prevent Aurora from searching for him. Cassandra was just outside the door and heard this loud and clear. She entered a few seconds later to tell Jezabel that Patricia was waiting to see her. Demon got up and left. Jezabel closed the door and demanded that Cassandra tell her what she heard. She said she had heard nothing. Jezabel did not believe her. Cassandra said that in the five years she was there she got only criticism and threats. Jezabel owned up to that. Edgar's name came into this. Cassandra got up to leave, saying she was retracting her resignation if she would not trust her. Jezabel said “If I don't trust you, you would be dead.” At Cassandra's expression she said “That was a joke.” [We know this is actually a threat]. Cassandra finally left the room with orders not to allow Patricia in.

Part 2 of 3

Demon came back and asked if Cassandra had heard anything. Jezabel said she hoped not. Demon was not so sure.

Helena looked at some photos of Angel and would have called him until Briana barged in spewing venom at her over Angel. Before leaving hr pffice she told Helena “I won't rest until I make your life miserable.”

Edgar told Demon that Angel broke up with Briana because he wanted to get back with Helena. Demon lost his shit fir a few seconds, then told him to pay a visit to the Santos' landlord.

Antonio finished a deal and Angel told him that he and Briana were no longer a couple. Antonio explained that he did not interfere in his daughters' love lives. Angel then told him about the house that Demon wanted his family to accept. Antonio asked him what Demon was getting out of this.

Jezabel told Helena it was time they started planning the wedding. Helena told her that Aurora was helping her. This caught Jezabel by surprise [and not a good one.].

Aurora asked Elvia about whether Antonio spoke of finding Gabriel in two months. Elvia said No. They had not shared much information.

Antonio became concerned about what went on between Angel, Helena, and Demon. Since thinking about it since Helena was attacked Antonio was sure that Demon interfered. Angel said he needed to talk to Helena and Antonio told him that Helena and Demon moved in together. He cautioned him about whether his words would cause happiness or sadness.

Angel prepared to go home. Antonio asked him to dine with him. He needed to learn the art of Power Lunching 101 because lots of business is conducted over meals.

Elvira told Aurora they needed to expand the search and consult with specialists in missing persons cases. They also needed a photo that would look like Gabriel. Aurora explained that Rocha had given her one but now she considered it suspect.

Demon told Helena to do as she pleased for the wedding. He excused his mother but explained her eagerness as him being her only child. Jezabel came in, complimenting Helena on her look. Jezabel suggested that Demon wait for them in the car. Demon left the women alone and Jezabel told Helena that she once was in love with her father. Helena concluded that this was how the rivalry began between her and Aurora. Jezabel said that Aurora envied her because of the company and because she had a son. Helena mentioned that Patricia was at the office apologizing but not all things can be forgiven because of one apology. Jezabel told her she could be a high society woman because that is important to Demon. It was not usual or easy to love a woman more than he loves his mother.

Part 3 of 3

Angel told Antonio he was worried about Rolando who lost his sight. He spoke of his mother making a major sacrifice.

Edgar talked to his mother about Patricia. They had known each other when young but were not equals. He said he needed her help. She said she would accommodate him.

Antonio called Aurora to ask her to join him and Angel. The young man was sad and Antonio was worried. In addition to everything else going on it was about Demon offering a house to the Santos family. Aurora was supposed to meet JC but asked Antonio where he was.

Briana went to see Vicki and helped her with her hair. Vicki told Briana she wanted her to be with Angel when she was gone, to help him get ahead. She also asked her to take care of Anita as she began crying. Briana changed the subject and worked on her hair while trying not to cry for herself.k

JC asked Cassandra some questions while waiting for Aurora. Jezabel, Demon, and Helena entered. Cassandra almost ran, especially knowing that Jezabel's smile and greeting was as fake as glass cut like a diamond. Cassandra excused herself to go to the powder room, but Jezabel followed her as Demon and Helena followed to the table.

Vicki told Briana about the house after Anita came in. Briana looked sadder than ever. Anita said she would miss Rolando then asked her mother if Pintas would return and harass her again. Briana asked who that was and Vicki reminded her of the night her mother came looking for her [seen in flashback]. She remembered and decided she had to leave,

Jezabel continued her interrogation but Cassandra escaped it by rushing to the stall. Jezabel called Aurora and asked when she was coming. Aurora said she was going to help Angel; Antonio had called her. Jezabel ended the call.

Teté told Edgar that Angel's family will be homeless the next day. She tried to persuade him to rersign fom Campero and run her place, saying it will be his someday; he'd even make more money and not have to answer to anyone. He didn't like the class of people there and said he appreciated her efforts, but told her he was working on his own path.

Patricia went to the Santos house, faking appreciation of the food. Briana was not pleased.

Demon made a big deal of Aurora's absence. Helena asked JC if he and Aurora would be the padrinos de anillos for their wedding. She wanted to ask them together. Por supuesto, Jezabel just had to say Aurora was with Antonio. Her aim was on target.

Briana was not happy at Patricia's presence, especially when she asked about Pintas. She mentioned Jezabel being her friend, which further annoyed Briana.

Aurora was in a restaurant with Antonio and Angel. She brought up the two-month window before Gabriel would appear. Angel mentioned what a coincidence this was.

 

Angel/Aurora. Another excellent recap, Urban! After the death of El Morro, I must say that this novela is a bit lacking in poetic justice so far. I hope that changes by the end! We will find out how that visit to the Santos' landlord works out. It's more important than it seems in this episode. That was a very sweet scene between Rolas and the 3 men who are offering him emotional support. It's wonderful how they are helping! JC is right that Antonio already knows something. And what is Patricia, a total jerk as usual, up to?

Part 1 of 3

Antonio explained to Angel that apprenticeship takes time. Aurora asked him if he knew anything about Gabriel and why Elvia knew nothing of his efforts. He changed the subject.

Jezabel tried to incite jealousy in JC over Aurora dining with Antonio. Cassandra was ill at ease and left the table. Helena watched, looking suspiciously.

Patricia tried to get more info about Pintas. Pascual advised her to stay away from him, finally saying his name was Romualdo. Briana remembered hearing that name before.

Antonio and Angel mentioned the house. Neither Angel nor Aurora understood why Demon would give Angel's family a housel Angel said that working for Antonio will enable him to pay this back. Aurora and Antonio said they would help him, that he was not alone. He said they were like second parents.

Patricia thanked Vicki, who then had trouble getting up. Patricia coerced Briana to leave with her, which she started to do as Angel arrived. After they were out the door Ange; admitted that he and Briana were no longer a couple.

Demon was questioning Aurora's dining with Antonio. Helena saw nothing wrong with it. However when he tried to put the moves on her later at home she saw plenty wrong with that.

Patricia and Briana argued again, first about Angel. Then Briana thought about Jezabel's demand to add “Romulaldo Garcia Garcia” to the employment rolls.

When Aurora arrived home it was evident that JC started doubting her.

Patricia and Briana continued arguing about Angel and his family. Patricia was still disappointed that Briana wasn't with Demon instead. This made Briana think back to when Jezabel made her add “Romualdo” on back payrolls. She was sure that Jezabel was not a good person and that there was a connexion between her and “Romualdo.”

JC and Aurora discussed this dinner date. She said she was there to help Angel. JC said that she was neglecting their marriage and is that what Antonio was after?

Briana wanted to know what her mother was really up to or was she just masquerading as a good mother? Patricia denied this, finally saying it was a good thing she was no longer involved with this poor person. Briana said tha Angel was better off not because of money but because of his family, which she never had, accusing Patricia for creating the rivalry between her and Helena. She finally told her she didn't want her to come to the office anymore.

Aurora told JC she did not believe this and he had no reason not to trust her. It was that she will help Angel while waiting for her son. Further, that loved Angel as though he were her own son [Did JC have a major lightbulb moment here?].

Vicki told Angel all she wanted was for him to be happy. Pascual did not want him to be with Briana if he wanted to be with Helena. “El corazón no se manda,” said Angel. Pascual then also said they had to get out of the barrio.

Part 2 of 3

Edgar and Cassandra fought over the uncertain state of their relationship. He told her she was right and that he loved her [Really? I have my doubts].

Helena told Demon that Edgar and Briana were half-siblings. He was surprised. She got into bed next to him [which surprised us].

JC laid awake in bed with Aurora, next to her but with his back turned. Aurora tambien.

Antonio read from the book about love and flashed back first to the aborted wedding then to the one that happened.

Angel thought of Helena hoping that she would understand and forgive him once she knew the truth.


Next Day

The three guys dressed as clowns and tried to amuse Rolando to no avail at first. MORE>

Jezabel barged into Antonio's office and began accusing him of trying to interfere with Aurora's marriage. She teased that he and Aurora were like two parents dining with their son. She asked about his interest in Angel and he asked why sh saw anything wrong with this. She was sure there were secrets and then told him of seeing JC alone with Cassandra.

JC started packing to move back to his own house. Aurora did not want to leave her house.

Jezabel made more insinuations and Antonio made her leave as Elvia arrived.

JC told Aurora he got suspicious when she did not tell him about her dinner with Antonio. He could not understand why she wanted to live with a sister and nephew she was always in conflict with. He wanted them to get out before it was too late.

Jezabel went to the office and saw Patricia who told her that Vicki was not well and no longer with Angel. Jezabel said she was not surprised because of Briana's lack of personality. She paused, then said it was a joke. Patricia suggested they get some Retail Therapy so they left the building.

Aurora explained she had no ill intent in dining with Antonio. She had tried to tell Jezabel who had ended the call before she had the chance. She could not stop thinking about this since Antonio told her he would find Gabriel in two months. She told him about the dream she had. He told her to leave the search up to Antonio. She agreed to move if Antonio failed to deliver on this.

Elvia asked Antonio about the two-month promise. He said he had told Aurora this and that he was investigating. They kissed and he then suggested that they go to his place for breakfast.

Angel talked with Aquiles and Glorio. They saw Helena and Demon together in the park. Glorio ran off, but returned. Helena and Demon were walking toward Angel and Aquiles. Demon was in a suit, vest, and tie and dark glasses, as though this made him look intimidating. As he shook Angel's hand, Demon said something insulting. As he was walking away Angel thanked him for the house. Helena asked about it. Angel asked if he hadn't told Helena, sarcastically speculating that he didn't want her to see him as good and generous. Demon said the house was a gift to Vicki that he – her son – could not give her. Angel said that anything can carry a price. Helena saw a fight about to happen and stepped between them. A few insincere words later Demion led Helena away. Aquiles and Glorio held Angel back.

Maggie tried to calm her son who wanted to fulfill his promise to Mario: To be like Angel.

Part 3 of 3

Helena and Demon met Edgar at the office; Helena wanted to talk to him about Briana. However, Demon got in there first. He was determined to “put Angel in his place.”

Elvia met with Aurora at the police station. about the anonymous communications. There was mention of human trafficking. An officer handed over a laptop showing the baby photo of Gabriel Campero Navarro.

Demon started in about Antonio. This segued through Edgar's very active previous night of no sleep and the idea that he is the naco brother of Briana, the vizen whom Demon would like to boink. Demon then said he should get to work. Edgar told him that all was ready for the eviction.

Jezabel and Patricia went shopping and back to the mansion. Teté was waiting to see Jezabel.

It was Esperanza's birthday. The guys sang as Helena and Demon arrived. Aquiles and Angel kept an eye on Demon.

Angel got Helena to agree to talk with him, but Demon saw them leave the room.

Rolando said he wanted Pintas caught for having killed Mario. He also said that Pintas tried to kill Angel and framed him for the robbery in their area. He had been afraid to say anything before this.

Pintas was near the door of the Campero mansion when Patricia was on her way out. She dismissed Carmela and went out to prevent him going in. He looked drunk and said things about Aurora that Patricia might have figured out [or grossly misinterpreted].

Angel told Helena he could not forget her. Demon sent Esperanza to get her. Angel told him he was going to tell Helena the truth.

Pascual and Vicki were served with an eviction notice.
 

Angel / Aurora #70

Patricia is only out for herself. She still hates Aurora and it would not surprise me if she misinterprets what Pintas said in his delusional drunken spiel because it would give her dirt for days.

My concern is that Aurora will be very angry with Antonio when she learns the truth because she still doesn't know how dangerous her sister is. I'm not sure he knows this either. He should be very concerned for Angel's safety due to the avaricious natures of Jezabel and her hellspawn. The trust problems whose seeds were sown in #70 will be the distraction.
