FUGITIVAS #58 Part 1

Isamel enters Florencia’s office. Why are you here she asks? (the huge folder in his hands should have given her a clue). He hands her the folder – it is a divorce complaint!

Florencia grimaces almost imperceptibly as he tells her the relationship is over. He hands her a pen expecting her to sign on the dotted line then and there (really Ismael??). He finally understands that won’t happen and says muy bien and leaves.

Arturo meets with Ivan to talk about Lorena and the murder of Juan Pablo.

Florencia is staring at the sonogram again as Vero comes in beyotching about Nico. Vero tells her she and Nico broke up much to Florencia’s consternation. Florencia asks for some alone time to process her problems; Vero begrudgingly agrees.

Matias and Dario talk as Natalia smiles, (listening at the door) as he gives his son a pep talk and then kisses and hugs him.

“Hello, my love how are you” Alejandro asks Lorena. Not well is her answer. He talks about Juan Pablo and Vincente meeting up in Buenos Aires.

Dario and Frida run into each other in the hall. For a minute he looks like he might soften but no.

Lisset brings cranky Charo a picture of Florencia and Vincente, smiling, trying to get her to give her information. I think Charo relates their mother had problems with Arturo. Charo tells her to get back to work.

Amanda enters Ismaels office and they discuss Natalia’s case. Ismael tells her she is an excellent detective. All of a sudden, Amanda’s demeanor changes. Her lip trembling, I believe Amanda confesses to Ismael that Nicolás plans to take the fugitives' case away from her. AND she also reveals that she was the one who leaked Vilchis' information to the press. He stares wide eyed taking it all in. He shakes his head. He tells her to collect her things and leave. Crying she leaves the police station, berating herself.

Arturo visits Florencia in her office. He tells her not to worry, Lorena killed Juan Pablo (which of course she didn’t).

Montse’s beau invites her out; she can’t go.

FUGITIVAS #58/59 Part 2

Dulcet toned Patricio calls Marta. He invites her over to his house and she accepts. He wants to pick her up but she says she will go to his house herself. She writes down the address.

Florencia tells Vero to cancel her appointments; she has to leave. Vero wants to attach herself like a barnacle to Florencia but she wisely declines and leaves a “hurt” Vero staring after her.

Natalia joins Montse and Frida. They all concur; Dario is such a good father! She shows them a picture of her love, her baby’s father. who she is clearly mooning over. Montse grabs her phone and starts composing a text but Natalia takes the phone back and shares a bit about her love Daniel…

Lorena calls Gabriela who gives her a frosty reception. Lorena, convinced Vincente murdered Juan Pablo, tells her sister this is a certainty. Gabriela digs her heels in and refuses to believe it. Lorena says there is proof he is violent. Gabriela passionately defends him, saying he is innocent and she won’t allow her to spread her falsehoods. Lorena tells her Vincente was in Buenos Aires at the same time that Juan Pablo was there. “Basta” Gabriela says saying something to the effect she wants her to believe the only person who supports her is a murderer. Gabriela hangs up on her sister.

Amanda shows up at her father’s office crying. He stares, concerned. She confesses it was she who leaked the information about Claudio Vilchis. She shares more of the ugly truth as he glares. Forgive me father she says. He is understandably angry. She mentions Nico (not sure exactly what she shares) as she takes her badge from around her neck and puts it and her gun on his desk. After she leaves, he sits down stunned.

Florencia visits her psychologist; she shares she is pregnant; oh and the baby is not Ismael’s.

Lorena shares with her friends that Gabriela doesn’t believe Vincente is the murderer. She emphasizes that Vincente is indeed violent.

So you had a relationship outside marriage the doctor states (nothing gets past her does it?) She says Nico is the baby’s father and in love with her. She asks if Nico knows, no, Florencia states, there would be a scandal. Also, Nico is the novio of her good friend. And there is the issue of Ismael suing her for divorce! The doctor seems to tell her actions have consequences. Florencia doesn’t seem happy with her therapy session, gets up and thanks the doctora for her time.

FUGITIVAS #58/59 Part 3 of 3

Vincente comes home and Gabriela can only stare into space. He starts talking about Teo but she isn’t listening to a word he says. She just stares. What is it he asks? She asks him if he knows Juan Pablo and says Lorena told her he killed him. He denies saying Lorena is insane. She asks if he damaged JP’s car and the answer is yes. He spews some story that includes his father. Your sister is muy mal Vincente finishes.

Amanda has her box packed and stops by Ismael’s office. To my surprise, I gather the gist of the conversation is that he is going to give her another chance! Amanda smiles and thanks him.

Lucre talks with her friend about Teo; her friend gives her what appears to be a new hoodie.

Nico enters Ismael’s office but I couldn’t translate. Ismael does say something about Amanda and I got the impression he was testing Nico…

Amanda goes into Patricio’s office and gives him the joyous news Ismael is giving her another chance. Patricio is relieved and delighted. He gives her back her gun and put her badge around her neck.

Marta shares with the girls she is going to Patricio’s; cat calls ensue and the girls excitedly help her get ready.

Amanda looks at the board and zeros in on Natalia’s picture. She looks at the file and notes her boyfriend’s name “Daniel”.

In the last scene of the evening, Lorena gets a voice mail from (I believe) Gabriela telling her she is done and wants nothing to do with her!

As we had a two for one double episode a while ago, I am updating my numbering as well. Rather than just noting this as 59 (as Comcast indicated), I will note this as episode 58 and 59 to show nothing was skipped.

Another extremely challenging episode. Knowing exactly what Amanda told Ismael is a pivotal part of the storyline and I apologize I was unable to translate. Kindly fill in that and anything else I missed or misinterpreted.

Juana #52 part 1 of 3

It opens with Juana and Gabriel kissing and ending up in the bed. Scene fades.

Camila and Manuel are talking. Camila is explaining that she loved Gabriel when he was with Paula. Then Gabriel introduced her to FransIsco and he could give her the life she wanted. When they returned to Mexico she still thought she might have a chance with Gabriel, as he and Paula were having problems. He asks about her and his dad. She tells him that he helped her when FransIsco disappeared, payed the hotel bills etc. When Paula saw him kissing her she couldn’t stay at Paula’s anymore and his Dad got her the apartment. But he treated her like he owned her. Manuel said he treats everyone that way. Then he asked if she still felt she had had a chance with Gabriel even after Juana. She said we both know she’s not the girl for him.

Paula asks Rogelio what will happen when Gabriel gets caught. She hopes Juana looses the baby and they’ll be no more Rubios. He says she’ll get Gabriel’s shares, and Elvira will vote with them. Astro beer will be able to buy the shares cheaply and it will be the end of Rubio beer. Paula asks why Astro beer. It seems Rogelio is the major shareholder there. Amparo has heard most of this conversation.

Salvador is talking to Julian and Gerardo. The signal hasn’t moved but he’ll sent his men in the opposite direction so the Salvador can help Gabriel. When the bodyguards leave Jenny comes over. She wants to know what’s happening. She wants to go with him as Juana is her daughter. He tells her ok, he’ll wait for her shift to end but when she goes up to the bar he leaves.

Felipe is,looking at a picture of Enriqueta and him. Ramon comes up to him and tells him Enriqueta loved him from the moment she saw him. Ramon tells Felipe to fight for this love.

Carlos is still working as Enriqueta is leaving. She’s worried about him. He says he’s worried, Gabriel is like a son to him. She invites him home for something to eat and some company.

Jenny wants to leave work. Fabio tells her she needs to stay or Ricardo will fire her.. Ricardo comes over and she tells him she has to leave, he says she’ll be fired, she tells him she resigns.

As Manuel is leaving he tells Camila that when she was in school he liked her but felt she wanted someone with more power. She tells him if things had been different they would have made a good couple.

Amparo tells Paula she saw her talking to her father and asks what about. Paula tells her it was business. Amparo tells her not to try and manipulate her dad, he’s a dangerous man, he killed FransIsco. Paula says if he did he must have had a good reason.

Gabriel and Juana are I. Bed telling each other they love each other and don’t ever want to be far from the other.

Jenny is packing. Josefina doesn’t want her to go, they’re assassins and she’s not the police. She has to go. She had talked to Pacheco.

Salvador tells Pacheco he’s going. He says Jenny Ben’s calling. Sal says she’s calling him too. Don’t answer. Just then Yadria shows up. She wants to go out, she felt fire when they were together. He either says throw ice or he felt ice. She sees his bag and wants to go with him. He says they’re finished.

Juana #52 part 2

Ramon comes in to talk to Josefina. He’s having a good day. He says she deserves to be happy. She wonders why he thinks she isn’t. She asks what she can prepare for him and he tells her nothing, he’ll be in charge.

Juana and Gabriel have not left the bed. She’s sleeping and he’s talking to her. He knows he put her in danger by staying with her He thanks her for her love and for the gift of their son.

Enriqueta and
Carlos are ar her place. She goes upstairs,and there’s a knock on the door. It’s Felipe and he wonders what Carlos is doing there He grabs him by his lapels as Enriqueta comes down the stairs. She tells him this isn’t his house and sends him away.

Yadria is still trying to get Salvador to let her go with him. She says she’s in love with him and he says no, she’s just bored and alone. He tells her to peddle a different bike, she tells him she already peddled Felipe’s, she wants to go with him. He tells her he’s not going on vacation, he’s going into danger, to save a life. She says she’s can help, she knows karate. Jenny comes upon them and thinks he’s taking Yadria instead of her. Salvador tells them he’s the police and he’s going alone. Jenny says it’s her daughter. Looks like she’s going with him but Yadria seems to think she’ll wait there for him.

Enriqueta says she’ll make the sandwich but Carlos says, this man is important to you. She says she’s loves him. Carlos says change of plans, he’s going to She tells him not to but he goes.

Felipe is at the garage, mad at himself and saying he lost Enriqueta.

Salvador pulls up where Gabriel left the tracker. He finds the tracker as Jenny wakes up and goes looking for him. Juana is awake and Gabriel wakes up. That surprises me as I was sure he was going to leave her so she wouldn’t be in danger. Juana goes to fix breakfast. Salvador and Jenny are
Eaning on the car and Sal is on the phone with Pacheco. He tells him to let the bodyguards know the tracker was in the trash. He tells Jenny they may be far away but they’ll get a hotel room and think about their next move. Jenny says no to a room with him as Yadria,is his girlfriend. He says Yadria isn’t his girlfriend. He needs to concentrate and works better alone.

At the police station Quiroz asks Pacheco where Castillo is. He tells him he’s looking for Gabriel and Quiroz wants to know where. Pacheco tells him he’s talking to Juana’s family and Gabriel’s coworkers to get some idea of where to look. Quiroz wants to have that information as soon as possible. Pacheco nods his head.

Juana #52 part 3

Camila’s mom is enjoying her breakfast. She tells Camila even though she’s blind she is happy here. Camila is worried. Her mom says she’s has difficult times but here she is, at Camila’s side. She will always help her

Amparo tells Manuel she’s worried about his sister. Rogelio is using the hate she feels for Gabriel to get her to help him. She tells him she told Paula that Rogelio killed FransIsco but she didn’t believe her. He asks her if she has proof. Then he says they should give him the benefit of the doubt. Rogelio comes in and tells them Fransisco’s body will be at her home and they should go as a family. Then he says, poor guy, he didn’t deserve to die.

David and Dani are watching a news report about the body being found and Gabriel being the prime suspect. David says he’s innocent. Enriqueta comes i. And tells them the body will be at Elvira’s and the employees should go. David says first he needs to tell them about FransIsco being found.

Pepito is eating breakfast with Josefina, Margarita and Ramon. Felipe comes in and asks where Jenny is. Felipe is surprised she went. Margarita says when you’re in love you’re capable of anything. Ramon wonders how she knows about being in love.

Gabriel and Juana are eating breakfast. She says she’s eating for two. She tells him she didn’t eat much the first three months but now she’s always hungry. He says he’s hungry for her.

David makes the announcement to the employees that FransIsco has died. One of the workers says the news says Gabriel killed him. David says he is innocent and will prove it. Carlos says they have to remain united. Gabriel’s enemies want to destroy the business and they have to prevent that from happening.

Camila goes in to see Quiroz. She wonders why she, the wife of Francisco, wasn’t notified first when they found his body. Why did his mother learn first. He tells her they were busy looking for Gabriel. She asks why they think he killed Francisco. He tells her the body was found on his land, they looked there because Elvira suspected it was there. Camila wonders who put that info into?Elvira’s head. When she leaves his office Quiroz calls Rogelio. He has to see him before they go to Elvira’s.

There’s only one room in the hotel and Jenny makes it very clear to the clerk that they need separate beds as they’re not married. She goes off to check and Salvador wonders why she’s making such a big thing of this. She doesn’t think she’s making a big thing, he thinks this is all in her head.

Quiroz tells Rogelio that Camila was acting strange, and not just because she wasn’t notified first. Rogelio tells Quiroz that Camila is very dangerous and he should investigate further the death of her father.

Juana is sleeping on the couch as Gabriel reads the news of FransIsco on his computer. He thinks back to when FransIsco was in his office and Rogelio came in. He begins to cry.

Everyone is at Elvira’s telling her how sorry they are. Paula and Rogelio don’t seem very sincere. Elvira sees Camila and yells, what are you doing here.

They announced that on 1/21/25 the novela replacing FUGITVAS will be "Papás por conveniencia" with José Ron and Ariadne Díaz.

EXTRAS #1

Ismael reminds Flo that when no property is held in common, there are no children and one of the two parties asks for a divorce, the marriage is dissolved. She answers that is to be seen. He warns her that with her signature or not, the divorce proceedings will go on.

Arturo tells Iván that his daughter is very worried because Lorena told her that she had been investigating and could very soon uncover the true murderer of JP. They are worried that Alejandro could reopen the case. Iván assures him that no matter what Lorena and her lawyer say reopening an already adjudicated case takes a very long time. He also has many contacts who can put the brakes on any attempt to do so. There is nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, Lorena is still stuck on the notion that her sister is living with a murderer. Alejandro reminds her they cannot prove anything. He did find out that JP was in Buenos Aires two weeks before he was killed. Lorena is not impressed. He sees it as one more piece of information they have. She insists they need to find out why Vicente took a bat to JP's car. She is still worried about he sister living with somebody who can be so violent. It doesn't take much for Erick to convince Lorena that she has to tell her sister about what she suspects about Vicente.

Charo tells Lisset that Vicente didn't always live at the house because he was very rebellious and had a lot of problems with his father who is very strict. That being said, Vicente is one of the most noble people she knows.

Ismael tells Amanda that he is very pleased with the team he has formed with her and her father. He trusts them completely. Amanda tells Ismael about Nico's plans to get him off of the case. Nico told her that Ismael had something to do with Lorena and that is why she hadn't been caught. She admits to having believed Nico at first but as time went on and Ismael explained everything to her, she realized how wrong she was. She never acted on what he said. She just listened. She goes on to tell him how Nico wants her to talk to his boss to get him taken off the case and replaced by Nico. She admits she should have told him before but Nico was threatening her. She confesses to having been the one who leaked the story about Lorena having beaten up Vilchis to the press. She knew it was wrong but at the time it was the only way she could think of for Lorena to find out that they knew what she had done and then capture her. Nico discovered what she did and the threats started. She also tells him that Arturo is supporting Nico using his influence with the those in power. She tells him to talk to his boss and bring him up to date with what is going on.He can't allow Nico to get his way. Ismael tells her she is off the case, to get her belongings and leave.

Patricio tells sobbing Amanda that she made a mistake because she was impulsive and reminds her of the many times he told her you have to have a cool head to do this job. She tells him everything about Nico and his threats. He wanted them to work together and for her to go and bad mouth Ismael to his boss so he could end up taking the case over. Patricio wonders what that imbecile thinks of himself. He is inept!

EXTRAS #2

In his conversation with Gabriela, Vicente seems surprised that Lorena knew about him bashing in the head lights and tail lights on JP's car but admits that he did it in response to JP and his father having done him dirty. What they did could not be forgiven. He wanted to go study in Copenhagen. JP told his father not to waste his money on him because he was a good-for-nothing and all he wanted to do was live the good life in Denmark. He also told him what he should do is put him into a military school so he would learn what discipline is. His father always gave JP what he wanted so he was enrolled in a military academy. It drove him out of his mind that JP could influence his father like he did so he took the bat to his car. Vicente admits that his reaction was a bad one but he was so full of anger that he had to get even with JP. He attacked his car but he didn't kill him. He asks her if she thinks he is capable of killing somebody. She answers no. Vicente tells her that her sister is very sick and that will do anything to alienate his family from him.

Isamel orders Amanda to not tell anyone anything about Nico.

Lucre's friend tells her if she goes on flying like she has been lately, someday she is going to stay on her trip for good. She also tells her that that guy (Vicente) came looking for her and left her a jacket. Lucrea is concerned that he saw her. Her fiend says he couldn't help but see her. Lucre doesn't want to be like she is. Her friend has heard that before when Lucre is hungover but then she forgets and returns to doing what she always does. Lucre explains that she doesn't want to feel the heartache that she does ever since she has been separated from Teo. Her friend encourages her to take advantage of this guy's offer to help her get clean so she can be reunited with her boy. She knows she should. The friend gives her the jacket.

IMHO, it seems that Ismael is setting up Nico who has come into his office to update a lead. Nico says that ever since Ismael complained to him about him calling Amanda a lesbian, he has noted a certain distance between them. Nico apologizes and says Ismael was right. He shouldn't mix his personal and private lives. Ismael says, as a matter of fact, he should be the one apologizing to him. His mind has been all over the place since he separated from Flo. Truth be told he hasn't acknowledged Nico's accomplishments and professionalism. He wants to thank him for all of the support and effort he has put into the FUGITIVAS case. Now more than ever, he needs Nico by his side. Just between them, he has lost all confidence in his team: especially in the Rojas (Patricio and Amanda) Nothing has happened; it is just his intuition. He needs a person he can trust by his side. Who would be better than him? They also have been friends for many years. Nico smiles and says that matters more than anything else. Nico adds that Ismael can count on him. He will never fail him.

Jarifa, your thoughtful and illuminating insight is always a gift, but tonight shone especially bright.

"His father always gave JP what he wanted". But why?? The little we've seen of him in flashback (and even less of what I remember), portrayed someone loathsome and unlikeable. Yet, what was the hold over Arturo and the allure for Florencia? I wish we would see a few more flashbacks to reveal a bit of the mystery.

Based on your excellent interpretation of Ismael and Nico's conversation, "IMHO, it seems that Ismael is setting up Nico" seems exactly right!! When Ismael (so sincerely and with such a straight face) murmured "Truth be told he hasn't acknowledged Nico's accomplishments and professionalism" you could actually see Nico preening a bit, lapping this lie up as his rightful due. Well done Ismael!

I like that Natalia seems to be integrated into the storyline. I like the unexpected twists and turns this is taking.

I can't wait for Marta to have her date with Patricio!

FUGITIVAS #60 Part 1

Lorena, (who has been consistently persistent in accusing Vincente of killing Juan Pablo), gets a call from her sister. Gabriela tells her she wants nothing to do with her! Lorena clutches her chest in agony, sits on the floor and cries…

Marta is just about ready for her date with Patricio. Frida holds out a hand mirror telling Marta how wonderful she looks! Montse and Lisset beam their approval. Marta gets up to go but Montse tells her she needs one more thing: a spray of perfume. Everyone smiles as Marta leaves for her hopefully excellent adventure.

Gabriela goes into Vincente’s room. She plays him the message…

Patricio is whipping up something in the kitchen (a sauce perhaps) that he seems pleased with. Oh noes! Whatever he was baking in the oven is burned to a crisp as smoke wafts out from the oven!

Gabriela seems to tell Vincente the only person that supports/cares for her is him. Vincente, (Dr. Jekyll tonight) is sweet and attentive.

Arturo visits Florencia to ask how she is, Vero told him she left early. He is concerned about her. He brings up Lorena and tells her to confide in him. She thanks him and they bid each other good night. She closes her eyes and sighs thinking he is going to be a grandfather.

Erick comes in and kisses Lisset but everyone turns as Lorena and her pink wig enter, telling them what happened. Lisset tells her she has such a big heart. Montse tries to say that Gabriela is in love. I think Lorena seems to say she is dead to her sister.

Patricio is like a high schooler greeting his crush. Marta come in and sits down at the set table. She teases him a bit but likes his house. He pours white wine as they toast and music plays in the background. They discuss Italian food. She says things are romantic and is encantada.

FUGITIVAS #60 Part 2

Dario comes in and they fill him in about Vincente, her sister’s novio and what has transpired. What a coincidence he comments. He tells her he is sorry. Dario actually seems a bit sympathetic and puts his hand on Lorena’s arm. Later, he actually seems to encourage her. Lorena later bares her heart to Frida…she believes Vincente is the murderer and gets increasingly agitated as Frida comforts her.

Lucre’s friends have scored some food they share, standing around the fire.

I’m trying to figure out what Patricio and Marta actually ate; I did see a salad. Well regardless, the romantic dinner seems highly successful. Patricio tells Marta he is going to tell her a secret (ingredient?) it is love… Ahhh Patricio she says, eyes betraying what she is obviously feeling.

Nico (grinning like a wolf) calls Florencia. She berates him again for breaking up with Vero. He says he is free and invites her to his house.

Natalia watches Daniel playing his guitar and singing on her phone.

Patricio and Marta are smiling and laughing. Things get romantic when he leans forward and kisses her. She looks at her watch but Patricio doesn’t want her to go. She grabs her purse and stand up but he gently takes her hand, saying they are adults and convinces her to sit. He asks her to stay so she can tell him the story of her life. She is afraid she might bore him, but he convinces her with several sweet kisses. (I could watch them all night).

Patricio wakes up alone (in what seems little bigger than a twin bed) and reaches for Marta, who is not there. She left a note which I can’t translate but his smile indicates he is pleased with its contents as he lies down happily on the bed clutching it to his chest. Marta is smiling to herself on her non walk of shame home.

Lorena calls Alejandro and they plan to meet.

Amanda hands another policeman a file and says she will be in her office.

Vincente tells Gabriela she isn’t alone. I believe she says she knows he is innocent.

Natalia tells Dario he is a good father.

FUGITIVAS #60 Part 3 of 3

Lorena and Alejandro meet and they kiss. She tells him how angry Gabriela is at him which makes sense as she is Vincente’s boo. I said that, not Lorena! 😊 Alejandro comforts her. Oddly, neither seem to care they are out in the open in broad daylight hugging and kissing…

“Buenos dias” Marta says as the girls smile and clap, the fact she is wearing last night’s clothes escaping no one’s notice. Marta smiles angelically, telling them about the wine, the dinner, she is feliz. The girls are thrilled for her as she says Patricio is a caballero as the girls continue to tease her.

Nico comes in and starts in on Amanda. She angrily tells him she is not going along with him and is unafraid that he will tell all; she is willing to take the consequences. He tells her to be careful. She ignores him and sits down at her desk. He storms out.

Vincente talks with his nice (and nameless) boss about Teo’s mother.

Amanda goes into Ismael’s office but I couldn’t understand what they said.

Amanda opens Natalia’s file and starts working on the computer.

Natalia has her baby (wearing an adorable, flowered cap) in her arms. Marta takes her as Natalia thanks her.

Alejandro visits Ismael: he wants to talk about Arturo and the Marquez family. There was talk about Vilchis and about who the real killer of Juan Pablo is. If it’s not Lorena, who is it Ismael asks? “Vincente” Alejandro says as Ismael stares open mouthed impactada.

Natalia arrives at the restaurant (with Dario) where Daniel works. He is singing (off key I might add) when he turns and sees Natalia. He is shocked as it appears he didn’t know she broke out of jail. She is tearful and gulps and tells him he is a father of a precious baby girl. He is surprised but says he is the happiest man in the world. The two embrace. “Where is she” Daniel manages, I want to meet her. All of a sudden, a car roars up and Amanda alights pulling a gun on Natalia!! Dario sinks into the doorway of a building.

Outside of Marta and Patricio’s romantic interlude and Natalia’s unfortunate cornering, there didn’t appear to be much forward movement. Kindly fill in what I missed.

Juana #53 part 1 of 3

Elvira wants Camila to leave. Camila feels she has the right to be there. Elvira replies that she and Gabriel are lovers and planned the assassination together.

Gabriel is upset and closes his computer. Juana wakes up and asks him what’s wrong. He tells her FransIsco is having his visitation now, and even worse, they think he killed him. When Juana says the truth will come out Gabriel isn’t too confident.

Back at the visitation Carlos comes to Camila’s defense. He says she and Gabriel have never been lovers and Gabriel didn’t kill FransIsco. Elvira then says they found the gun in his office and the body on his land. Camila wants to know where she got her information, that’s the person that killed her son.. Elvira asks Paula her opinion. She says she wouldn’t believe anything Camila says, and she thinks Gabriel killed FransIsco. Camila calls her a lier.

Gabriel tells Juana FransIsco was going to tell him who was pressuring him to sell his shares and Rogelio interrupted them. Juana thinks she took a picture of Rogelio with FransIsco before she heard the noise and found the blood. Gabriel feels if he had believed her right away they wouldn’t be going through this now.

Elvira tells Camila that she and Gabriel will soon be brought to justice. Then she tells her to leave her house.

Salvador and Jenny are being led to their room. She wants to go to another hotel but Salvador feels they need to be in this Pueblo. In the room there’s only one bed.

Ramon asks Margarita’s help in doing something for Josefina.

Felipe is upset as he thinks back to the scene with Carlos and Enriqueta. Josefina enters the garage. He asks if something happened to Juana or Jenny. She tells him they’re not the only ones she thinks of. He’s always been the one to ground them. She’s there for him, what happened between Enriqueta and him.

Enriqueta doesn’t understand how Elvira can think Gabriel would kill FransIsco. Carlos doesn’t understand how anyone can think that. Enriqueta thinks they should go but Carlos says no.

Paula says she feels such satisfaction that Elvira treated Camila that way. Manuel tells her she knows Gabriel and Camila were never lovers. Amparo interrupts them to say something about their dad. Meanwhile he’s talking to Camila. She says Elvira was right in one thing. She would like to be the lover of Gabriel. He’s a complete man, unlike you. Rogelio tells her to take care or he could send her to be with FransIsco.

There are two beds in the room. Guess they were real close together. Salvador says if she’ll have so much trouble sleeping in the same room he’ll sleep in the car. She doesn’t want to be left alone. Salvador says he won’t attack her or try to kiss her. She says she has a solution but his phone rings. He goes in the bathroom to take the call. She’s at the door trying to listen. His boss is suspicious that he’s so far from the city, but he says he’s looking for Jua a’s mother. When he comes out of the bathroom she says she’s going to take a bath. Sal says he’s going to the bar to ask about Gabriel. When he leaves Jenny comes back into the room and makes a call to the lobby saying that she needs their help.

Felipe tells Josefina that since his dad came back he’s angry and can’t control his emotions. He loves Enriqueta but wonders if she loves her former guy now. Josefina is glad he called Ramon his dad. She says he’s like him. She tells him it’s better to have loved than never to have loved. She asks for a hug.

Back at the viewing Elvira is saying thanks to him FransIsco will have justice. He tells her she’ll have his fea sisco’s shares. Enriqueta comes to tell Elvira goodbye and tells Carlos what she overheard.

Juana #53 part 2

Dani asks David why he wasn’t at the viewing. He felt someone needed to be at the brewery and also with Elvira thinking Gabriel is a murderer he had no desire to see her. Dani asks if it’s for Jua an and he says no, he’s worried about both his friends, he wants them to be happy. Dani sees him shirtless in her imagination and gets all flustered. David looks really confused. Dani goes to Inez and tells her she’ll has hallucinations about David. She asks what app the coworkers put her on. Someone asked to meet her and she’s going to answer it.

Juana wants to go out but Gabriel doesn’t think it’s a good idea. There’s a nice path. He agrees to go.

Salvador shows Gabriel’s picture to a waiter. He hasn’t seen him. Jenny comes in asking about his girlfriend, Yadria. He says just because someone keeps saying something doesn’t make it true. He calls her “my Jenny”. She says she’s not his Jenny and why is he ordering for her, they’re not a couple. Jenny thinks Juana and Gabriel must be hiding. Salvador tells her in this profession you have to have patience and go slowly.

Enriqueta and Carlos are telling David what happened at the viewing. He thinks they should talk to Elvira, but they’re afraid if she thinks they’re on Gabriel’s side it will be worse.

Camila is telling her mother she’s going to end up in the street because of Elvira. Her mother says if you killed FransIsco he deserved it, just like her father did. She can’t believe her mother thinks she killed FransIsco

The Fue,ahora return home. Manuel tells his father that sooner or later they’ll find Gabriel innocent. His father says there’s too much evidence and the longer Gabriel stays away the worse he makes it for himself. The Rubios are finished. Amparo is asking Paula how she can let an innocent man be blamed for Fransisco’s murder. Paula has a sharp object and says you’re either with me or against me. Her mother doesn’t understand what she’s become.

Juana and Gabriel are walking. She asks about FransIsco but he doesn’t want to talk, he feels bad he couldn’t go to the visitation. She says they can have their own tribute to him here, so Gabriel tells her about his friend.

Pepito is watching Margarita ironing and commenting on the clothes. Josefina comes in and asks about Ramon and Margarita says he went out alone. He’s out at Memo’s stand. He tells Memo Josefina is still a beautiful, elegant woman and he wants to take her out for a special dinner. But he needs a favor from Memo.

Juana #53 part 3

Salvador comments that Jenny hasn’t finished her drink. She can’t drink whe she’s worried about her daughter. Salvador says by talking to different people that they don’t know they can learn things. Then he reads on his phone that Gabriel is with an accomplice. He gives the phone to Jenny who sees they’ve named Juana. She downs her drink.

Juana tells him the people you love never really leave you. He tells her he loves her and to close her eyes. He’s on one knee with a ring box. She says yes, of course, and he puts the ring on her finger.

Jenny is upset because Juana deserves to be happy. Salvador doesn’t like to see her sad. Julian calls and Jenny wants to hear the conversation. Salvador puts it on speaker. She knows there looking for Juana and thanks him. She orders another drink and Salvador wonders if she should be drinking so much. She makes it a double.

Juana wants to pinch her so she knows she’s not dreaming. She loves him and knows it’s not just the baby he loves.

Dani is talking to Reny. I’m not sure if he was a match or not. But he wants to take her out. She wants to get to know him here, they can eat in the cafeteria,

Paula is being interviewed. The interview calls her Paula Fuemayor. She corrects her by adding de Rubio. The interviewer apologizes, she thought they were divorced. Paula shows her ring and says they’re married, that was a rumor.

Rogelio is telling Camacho about Elvira calling Camila an assassin in front of everyone. Then he says Castillo is,in charge of the investigation and he asks Camacho to investigate him.

Carlos and Enriqueta are telling Claudio that if Rogelio gets control of the company he’ll destroy it. Claudio doesn’t know what to do, he needs to talk to Gabriel to his face.

Paula tells the interviewer she wants the world to know about Gabriel amd that’s why she’s on national tv.

As Juana and Gabriel return to their room she feels the baby move. She puts his hand on her stomach and he feels it to and says hola.

Josefina sees the beautifully set table and says Ramon, but Memo enters with a bottle of wine.

Jenny has put a sheet up to separate the beds. But when Salvador turns out his light he can see the silhouette of Jenny as she undresses. He tries not to look.

Paula is on national tv telling the camera that Gabriel abused and humiliated her and is a monster

Gabriela threatens to turn Lorena over to the police if she doesn't leave her alone.

Comment: So, Patricio never took off his jacket (outside wear) before he started cooking??Looked odd but funny to me. Maybe he forgot in all of the excitement.

Gabriela plays Vicente the voice message she left Lorena telling her to leave her alone. He says that was pretty strong. She agrees but says she didn't have a choice. She no longer knows if Lorena killed JP or not but she is sure that Vicente didn't.

Lisset tells Lorena how Charo talked about Vicente and his big heart. Lorena says they are the worst; those who appear normal but are capable of anything and everything. They also have evidence but unfortunately even if the Pope were to tell her she wouldn't believe him.

Patricio prepared a palm heart salad and chicken in white wine with mushrooms. He wanted to surprise her with a spinach lasagna with ricotta cheese but he forgot about it and it burned up in the oven. He will make it another time for her. It is just the beginning.. .

Lucre's friends have a different opinion about Vicente since they see the clothing he brought. Maybe he isn't like the others who seem cool at first but then disappear.

Alejandro is not pleased when Lorena tells him that she is calling from Lisset's phone and that she had to get rid of the chip in hers all because she had to call her sister and warn her about Vicente. She has to tell him how she reacted.

Amanda gives an officer a file and tells the him to find if anyone visited this fugitive (Natalia?) when she was in prison.

Natalia tells Darío she is going to go see her baby's father today.

What really aggravates Alejandro is that Loose Lips Lorena (LLL) told her sister what they had discovered. She effectively warned Vicente because Gabriela will tell him. If there were some clue to him being the murderer, they will make it disappear. She apologizes admitting she was a fool. He reminds her this is one more time that she has done things her way and has not paid attention to what he told her. LLL whines on about only wanting to protect her sister and all she got in return was that her sister said she was dead to her. He seems surprised and comforts LLL as usual. He says Gabriela will be okay. He seriously doubts Vicente would hurt her because if he were to and if he is the murderer that would be like putting the noose around his own neck. He puts up with LLL because he LOVES her.

Vicente tells his boss (the actor with a very familiar face but no name) that Lucre's friend told him Lucre was drugged out because he had spoken to her about her son. He feels bad. His boss tells him not to feel guilty. If Lucre ended up like that after him mentioning her son, it means that he is still very important to her. He needs to keep at it. Nobody said it was going to be easy. If he disappears then it will prove to her that nobody is there for her. He needs to keep reaching out to her and take advantage of when she is sober to talk to her about rehab.

Amanda tells Ismael about Nico's visit to her office and him wanting her to talk to Ismael's boss. She told him about her defiant reaction. He asks if she told him that he already knew about who is betraying him. She answers of course NOT. He asks her to carry on in the same way while he is going to manage things in his own way. He explains that you have to keep your enemies close. You get the to rust you and when you have them where you want them, you expose them and confront them.

Amanda gets Natalia's file and starts to research who paid her that one visit when she was in the pen.

Yes, Diane, I agree with your assessment of poor Daniel's voice. ; )

Gabriela "no longer knows if Lorena killed JP or not but she is sure that Vicente didn't". Doubting your beloved sister's innocence at this late date?? Vincente is just not a good influence. Sorry, but there it is :(

Ahhh, so it was the lasagna that burned! What a clever man to just happen to have a "palm heart salad and chicken in white wine with mushrooms" which sounds delish. One of my favorite scenes thus far was Patricio rolling over clutching Marta's letter to his chest in sheer happiness. Cesar Evora still has it. While he's so easy on the eyes, I wouldn't mind closing mine and listening to him talk; what a voice!

Marta's "I will carry your love with me and it will accompany me all day long" made my eyes mist. Just lovely.

I wish Amanda hadn't chosen Natalia's case to start focusing on what she should be doing (her work) rather than revenge on Alejandro. Mothers being separated from their children, especially infants is very distressing to me. I hope this story arc is resolved quickly and somehow, Natalia gets out of jail.

FUGITIVAS #61 Part 1

Dario has (surprisingly) accompanied Natalia to the restaurant where Daniel works. Daniel’s off-key singing comes to an end when he turns and sees Natalia. He didn’t seem to know she was out of jail and to say he is shocked is an understatement. She tearfully gulps and tells him he is the father of a beautiful baby girl. He is surprised but after processing, manages to smile broadly saying he is the happiest man in the world. As the two warmly hug, he asks where his daughter is; he wants to meet her! Before she can reply we hear the squeal of brakes as a car roars up, parking at the curb. Amanda alights pointing a gun squarely at Natalia! Dario seems to freeze for a moment and then ducks into a doorway of a building.

“Natalia” Amanda yells as police jump out, run up and handcuff her. Surprisingly, they cuff Daniel as well. Dario stares in horror, hidden from sight.

Ismael and Alejandro discuss Juan Pablo and Lorena and seem to come to some agreement, shaking hands.

A crowd gathers and a woman speaks up on behalf of Natalia but Amanda roughly pulls her in the police car and they drive away. Daniel is spirited away in the other car.

Dario emerges with his hands on his head, completely distraught, picking up Daniel’s guitar.

When Vero barges into Florencia’s office, Florencia has a hard time making eye contact. Vero natters on and finally says she isn’t getting divorced because she’s pregnant. Vero is happy for her but her “friend” Florencia winces as she hugs her. Florencia then turns nasty saying she wants to be alone. Vero leaves. (My question is why in heaven’s name would Florencia tell Vero of all people that she is pregnant? Vero motor mouth will surely spill this to Nico, right??).

Lucre is menaced by a thug with a topknot. One of her friends is ready to defend her. The nasty guy demands their sweatshirts and he and his crew take off.

Lisset toys with perpetually annoyed Charo who shoos her off.

Natalia is crying in the back of the car but Amanda seems unmoved.

Nico watches Alejandro leave the police station and ride off on his motorcycle. He then goes into Ismael’s office. I couldn’t tell if the two discussed the fact Alejandro was there or not. One of the things Ismael tells him is that he is divorcing Florencia. Ismael’s assistant tells him Amanda needs to see him. Does Ismael tell Nico he has something important for him?

FUGITIVAS #61 Part 2

Vincente greets Vero who feigns sympathy for Gabriela. He cuts her off and asks if his father is available. He enters Arturo’s office with a serious and foreboding expression. How is Gabriela Arturo asks. Vicente then startles his father, asking if anyone in the family is involved in Juan Pablo's death!

Marta, Lorena and Frida are prepping food when Lisset arrives. Montse brings in the baby and Lisset takes and holds her. Everyone coos over the baby.

Arturo seems mortally wounded that Vincente would even ask such a question. He answers with the standard Lorena murdered Juan Pablo; same old, same old. Just then, Florencia comes in; Arturo asks her to close the door. Florencia and Vincente are stone cold to each other as Arturo tries to broker peace between the siblings. Vincente stands up and turning around, accuses Nico of being her amante which she denies (lying through her teeth of course). After more words from Arturo they manage to (barely) shake hands and very reluctantly hug as he smiles and nods his head.

Patricio and Ismael are talking when Amanda comes in explaining how she tracked down Natalia’s last visitor in jail and then found Daniel. The three leave.

Matias joins the women and they have a cute moment with the baby.

Natalia and Daniel talk as Ismael, Patricio and Amanda come out of the station. Handcuffed, both are taken inside.

Dario enters the kitchen and tell them the police took Natalia!

“Hola mi amor” Gabriela tells Vincente when he calls. They love each other.

Gabriela shows up at the office and says hello to Veronica who completely ignores her.

Daniel is distraught as he is locked in a cell.

Everyone turns to Dario to explain what happened. He is very upset as he relates the events; Matias asks the obvious, what happens with the baby?? Montse turns to Marta asking if Marta will keep Elenita; Natalia doesn’t want the baby to grow up in prison. Dario nixes that idea; they would be accused of kidnapping! They tease Marta about her new BF (which Dario knew nothing about). Then Lorena brings up Alejandro (Dario didn’t know he was her novio either).

FUGITIVAS #61 Part 3 of 3

Natalia is in an interrogation room, being grilled by Ismael as Patricio and Amanda look on. I believe she tells them she was on her own. The baby comes up and Amanda, in an intense round of questioning (Patricio actually has to put his hand on Amanda’s arm to indicate she needs to back off), demands to know where she is. Natalia says she is safe with her friends but will not impart any further information as she fears her daughter will grow up in jail. Amanda then starts in asking about Daniel, which causes Natalia to cry harder. I think Patricio tries to get her to give up her friends but she refuses.

Lorena has yet another problem for Alejandro.

Marta and Dario stroll and she tells her son Patricio is a good man and a caballero. They sit on a bench and she shares her heart. He seems a bit incredulous that she is the amante of the police commander but is happy for her and hugs her. He actually smiles.

Poor Daniel is pacing his cell as a policeman brings him into the interrogation room. He doesn’t want problems. What is your relationship with Natalia Ismael asks. She is mi novio he replies. Amanda presses him as to where the baby is; of course he can’t answer as he has no idea. He didn’t know he was a father. After he left, Amanda, Ismael and Patricio talk but I couldn’t translate.

Alejandro talks to the girls about the baby and then with Lorena…He gives her the phone chip back; they kiss.

Natalia sits in her cell and cries brokenheartedly begging “por favor” to herself.

Vero bring Florencia a tablet gushing about the baby but Flor hands it back to her and is short with her as usual.

Ismael, Amanda and Patricio play a video of Daniel.

Nico barges is and Ismael tells him they captured Natalia. I believe he asks if she is pregnant and later brings up something about Alejandro.

Vincente is with Lucre; he asks her to trust him and to go with him.

Daniel kisses Natalia through his jail cell bars. Daniel seems to think Natalia will get a reduced sentence but she thinks it will be longer because she escaped. With that, She is dragged away from his cell, screaming and crying.

Again, the dialogue was far too fast for me to try and figure out most of what was being discussed. I cannot vouch for the veracity of much of what I related, but I did the best I could. Please correct and/or add anything important I missed.

Juana #54 part 1 of 3

Paula is on national tv saying terrible lies about Gabriel, but the big lie is when she says he killed FransIsco and Juana Bravo was his accomplice. All our main characters are watching. Rogelio is quite pleased. Carlos, Enriqueza are very upset. David suggests they contact Juana’s family as they feel Gabriel needs to talk to Claudio.

Josefina thought she would be dining with Ramon, Mismo offers to leave but Josefina wants him to stay and have dinner with her. Mismo confesses that Ramon had planned their date. Josefina hasn’t had a date in years. Mismo says he was too shy and didn’t date much. They toast Ramon.

Jenny says she drank too much and her head hurts. She calls to Salvador who’s sound asleep on the other side of the curtain. She tells him she loves him, wonders if he heard her and looks around the curtain to see him asleep.

Gabriel and Juana are discussing the things Paula said. Gabriel tells her Paula had a lover that he punched. Gabriel is not going to let Juana get pulled into this. She says the three of them are together but he says for her and the baby he’s going. To surrender.

The interviewer thanks Paula, but Paula thanks her for letting her share what kind of man Gabriel is. Paula then gets on her phone.

Juana is telling Gabriel he can’t surrender. He says each day the news gets worse and they can’t hide forever. They were only hiding while they decided what to do.

Paula walks into her parents’ bedroom. Rogelio is very proud of her. Amparo is not pleased that she’s using her hate for Gabriel to do this. Rogelio says his daughter is strong and fight for what she wants, like him. He tells Amparo she is weak. She leaves the room and Paula tells her father she doesn’t want Gabriel to see his child born.

Josefina and Mismo are talking about the good dinner. Josefina thinks Margarita probably cooked it. Mismo says Ramon did a good job raising his daughter. He then says he was always shy, scared and panicky. Josefina feels he was always her protector and good friend. They rank each other and Josefina decides they need more wine.

Ramon comes into the garage to tell Felipe not to go home, he and Margarita have prepared a special dinner for his mom and Memo. He wonders if Felipe thinks it was the wrong thing. Felipe asks about Margarita. She’s visiting a friend. Felipe seems pleased.

Margarita brought dinner to Pacheco. Pacheco has water and dessert, candy bars, I think.

Inez brings coffee to Carlos. He’d rather have a drink, he’s very worried. Enriqueta feels confident that David and Dani will find Gabriel and Juana
David is at Dani’s house. She’s in her robe. Her mom offers him something but he declines. He tells Dani about trying to get information on Gabriel and Juana’s whereabouts from her family. Will she go with him. She goes to change

Juana # 54 part 2

Gabriel shows Jua na all the news reports about him and says that’s why he has to surrender. Someone is behind this and she’s in danger too. She just asks for time to adjust to the new plan.

Felipe is talking about Ramon fixing up Josefina and Memo. Ramon says he wants Felipe and Enriqueta to be together too. Felipe says that won’t happen and it’s his own fault. Ramon has tears in his eyes and Felipe wonders what’s wrong. Ramon says, you called me dad. They hug.

Pacheco says her meal was the best and she says it’s because it was made with love. She has to go, but they have a brief kiss first.

Josefina wants to get more wine and take it up to the roof to look at the stars. When they get up Memo is ready to kiss Josefina but there’s a knock at the door, David, with his bad timing, and Dani, are there. He asks if they’re interrupting and Josefina says no. David asks if they can contact Juana. Josefina tells him no. Josefina knows nothing about the news reports, she tells him Jenny is visiting her sick aunt, Felipe doesn’t know anything either. He says if you can reach Juana it’s very important that she has Gabriel call him. He needs to speak to his lawyer. Carlos calls him while he’s there and David tells him they can’t contact Juana.

Salvador wakes up and tells Jenny how he felt when he saw her silhouette through the sheet. She looked beautiful and he almost broke his promise. When she doesn’t respond he looks around the sheet and she’s sound asleep.

Gabriel didn’t sleep all night. He tells Juana she’s a strong woman and she has to promise him she’ll take care of herself and the baby. He wants to hear her say it. She promises and they hug.

Carlos comes into the police station and asks Pacheco where’s Salvador. Pacheco tells him he’s following leads. Carlos asks if he thinks it strange that Jenny is also out of town. Pacheco sees Quiroz approaching and tells Carlos not to say anything about the case. Quiroz stands next to Pacheco and says aren’t you Gabriel’s uncle, why are you here. Carlos says he’s wondering if they have any information on his nephew.

Jenny is in a towel on her bed asking Salvador if he’s in the bathroom. He comes out in a towel, they try to pass each other, she needs to bathe, he needs to dress. She says he has a nice body, he feels it was better when he was in school. After some more body talk Jenny says she got a text from Dani asking if she could get in touch with Juana. She didn’t respond.

Josefina wonders where Ramon was last night. He tells her. She tells him Margarita is a good cook. He tells her not as good as she is. Then he says when he left she had the kids and the house to care for and had no personal life. He wants her to be happy. She gets teary and tells him she has cookies.

Alejandro tells Ismael all about Vicente taking a bat to JP's car but won't give up his source. Ismael doesn't think that proves anything because they were always competing with each other and JP minimized Vicente his whole life. Arturo paid more attention to JP than to his own son. Alejandro sees that as motive. Ismael says not so fast. Vicente was rebellious, willful and even impulsive but is not a murderer. Ismael admits he doesn't know what to think about the identity of the murderer anymore. He starts to suggest that if Lorena . . . Alejandro cuts him off and tells him she is not turning herself in. He does not trust would could happen to her in prison with the Márquez' and their connections. Ismael agrees to investigate beyond Lorena but they need to keep the agreement between them. They shake on it.

Geez, Amanda couldn't have been any more unpleasant dealing with Natalia. I thought I would like the new and improved Natalia more, but I don't.

Yes, Vero is a motor is a motor mouth. I do not understand why Flo would tell her anything.

The thug shaking down Lucre and her friends for the new clothes is her dealer. When she refuses to give him her jacket, he tells her she can expect the same response form him when she needs her drugs.

After watching Alejandro leave, Nico goes to see Ismael in his office. He asks Ismael why he was there. With a straight face, Ismael tells Nico that he was there to bad mouth the Márquez's without any proof of them having done anything. He explains that Alejandro is still insisting that Lorena did not kill JP so he is looking at the Márquez family. Nico calls Alejandro an imbecile. Ismael tells him he is getting a divorce from Flo. Since Nico has gotten so close with the family, he asks him not to mention anything that happens at the prosecutor's office with them. Nico tells him not to worry. He never has done that nor will he. Ismael appreciates his discretion. Ismael tells Nico one of the fugitives has been arrested. Nico wrongly assumes that he will be in on her interrogation. Ismael says no, he will take charge of that. He has another very important task for Nico. it is about Mother's Day. He needs Nico to make a list of all of the employees in the prosecutor's office that are mothers so presents can be bought for them. Nico looks incredulous and asks if that is important. Ismael answers that of course it is. It is his image. He asks Nico again to take charge of that task. A less than happy Nico answers "no worries."
 

Juana #54 part 3

Elvira knows Rogelio has come to see if she’ll sell her shares. Paula says she came because they share the same feelings of hate toward Gabriel and they need to unite their forces.

Salvador gets a call from Yadira. He doesn’t answer. She’s going on to the two neighborhood friends about Jenny being with Salvador, she tells them she knows she’s with him because she saw them leave. She starts to call Jenny but decides to send a video she has instead. She says Jenny will never want to be with Salvador when she sees it.

Jenny walks up to Salvador. They talk briefly about their feelings for each other, which seem to consist of thinking about each other.

David tells Enriqueta and Carlos that Josefina knows nothing about Juana’s whereabouts and Jenny went to visit an aunt. They all think it’s strange that Jenny would visit an aunt when all this is happening. Carlos says Salvador was also out of town and the detective told him not to mention anything in front of the boss. They conclude that Jenny and Salvador are going after Gabriel and Juana without the authorities knowing this. David will try to contact Jenny.

Rogelio and Paula tell Elvira she’ll get no rest until Gabriel is in jail. He’s a dangerous man and that photographer must be with him for his money. Rogelio says
Carlos will probably take over the presidency. Elvira says she’ll talk to her lawyer and have Rogelio manage her shares.

Inez tells Camila that Quiroz is here to see her

Carlos asks Enriqueta if she can ask Felipe if he knows anything. She says Felipe is the last person that would tell her anything.

Camila goes in to talk to Quiroz. He wants to interrogate her on the death of her father.

Inez and two other girls ask Dani about her date with Reny. They then tell her she needs to fix her makeup, hair and clothes. She’s not sure what’s wrong with her clothes. They tell her they’re boring and she has to show more skin, but not too much. They all go off together.

Carlos comes into the garage wanting to talk to Felipe alone. Felipe sends Chismo out. Carlos tells him they figure Salvador and Jenny are together. Things are bad and if he can contact them Gabriel needs to contact his lawyer. After what Paula reported it’s urgent, for the good of their niece and nephew.

Jenny thinks they need to go to the town and look for Gabriel and Juana. They have to eat. Then she realizes they have to stay hidden. Salvador says he needs to call Julian. Then he hugs Jenny and promises her that very soon she’ll be hugging her daughter. She says she’s proud of Juana for defending her love. Sal tells her she defends her love of her daughter, he defends his love of justice. She says there’s another kind of love. He says she never wants to talk about that. She says that’s because she’s been hurt but he always saves her. Josefina was right about that. He saves her and saves her, from the first time she he showed up and saved her from the light. She wants to hold onto him. They kiss.

Dani walks into the office looking good. David follows her with his eyes. Inez tells him she has a date.

EXTRAS #2

Vicente tells Vero she can quit making nice comments about Gabriela. After how she has treated Gabriela, he doesn't believe in her good wishes. He also tells her that Gabriela will be coming back to work today and that she better treat her well.

Lorena calls Alejandro to see if he can help Natalia some how. He says he will be right over and they will come up with some solution or other.

Lisset tells Alejandro that all they know is that Natalia didn't want to have the baby in prison with her. Alejandro says the best solution is to give the baby to its father. He believes they are going to let Daniel go. He emphasizes that the important thing is to find out what Natalia wants done with her baby. Alejandro cannot visit her as her lawyer and ask her that question because she has not requested him as her defense lawyer. It would raise too many suspicions.

Natalia begs God to please take care of her baby for her.

Patricio tells Amanda and Ismael that he thinks that Dan is telling the truth. All Amanda wants to do is interrogate Natalia again. She thinks they need to pressure her to tell them where the baby is. Patricio explains that the location of the baby is not in the scope of their investigation. Amanda argues that it is relevant. She thinks that if they find out where her baby is and that it will lead to some other of the fugitives. Ismael asks how she came up with that idea. She answers saying the day Natalia escaped, a nurse told them that she had seen Natalia with two other women. They must have the baby. If Natalia refuses to tell them about her friends, they must be other fugitives and she is protecting them.

Alejandro tells Lorena that he thinks that Natalia will try to contact them when she is being transferred from jail to the penitentiary as to what to do with her baby. Marta is the ONLY one that can deal with her. Alejandro also tells her that he went to see Ismael and he seemed open to helping them. Lorena isn't buying it. She sees him as saying anything he can just to capture her. Alejandro thinks that Ismael was sincere.He give her a new chip for her phone.

Vero is ready to be the first to buy Flo a baby gift. Vero is less than impressed.

After seeing the video of Daniel performing, Ismael and Patricio agree that he was telling them the truth and that they need to release him. Nico arrives and asks about what fugitive was arrested. Ismael says it was Natalia and Nico asks what hospital she was arrested at. Patricio says she wasn't arrested at a hospital. Amanda had a hunch and they found her. Patricio says if he were around, he would have known shat was going on. . Nico says he had to do something more important for Ismael. Ismael agrees that it had to do with something important and he had to put Nico, who he fully trusts, in charge of it. Nico smiles.

Vicente tells Lucre he wants her to come with him to look at a rehab center.
That doesn't go over well. He says that he only wants her to take a look. Maybe it isn't as horrible as she thinks. He thinks she will change her mind when she sees it. She makes it clear that she won't be forced but agrees to go look on her own volition.

Daniel wants to to form a family with Natalia and the baby when she is out. Natalia is being transferred form the jail to the prison.

Jarifa, thank you for unearthing so many valuable nuggets of information. As always, you provide all the missing puzzle pieces and do so splendidly.

So Ismael is going to give an inch and "investigate beyond Lorena". A bit of progress at long last. I'm with Ismael; I don't have any idea who killed Juan Pablo.

"Amanda couldn't have been any more unpleasant dealing with Natalia. I thought I would like the new and improved Natalia more, but I don't". Color me disappointed as well. Blech.

Lorena's loose lips are nothing compared to Flor's! Telling Vero ANYTHING was a major lapse in judgement.

I smiled in delight at "He has another very important task for Nico. it is about Mother's Day. Recalling his expression during this scene makes me smile. Love Ismael's overt taunting, couldn't happen to a more deserving soul. Nico is scum.

"If Natalia refuses to tell them about her friends, they must be other fugitives and she is protecting them". Damn, Amanda's powers of deduction are spot on.

No spoiler but this latest twist and turn portends trouble for Marta I fear...Again, I hate separating a mother from her child and hope this wraps up soon although unless they decide to release Natalia (which seems bleak especially with Amanda around), it doesn't look good.

Diana, right back at you! I still cannot believe they ran the novelas on the 24th and 25th. Time to pack up a nice mug of coffee and see what is on sale out there today.

Jarifa, I was also really disappointed that this aired Christmas Eve and Christmas. I recall recapping some other novela Christmas but it's been a while.

I've been browsing online trying to find a few gifts for next year...nothing yet, but I'm on it!! :)
