FUGITIVAS #72 and #73 Part 1

Allies never trust each other, but that doesn’t spoil their effectiveness – Ayn Rand

Previously: Forcing Lisset to participate in the robbery was apparently not enough for Eréndira. After mulling everything over, Eréndira decided that Lisset and Erick have seen and heard too much. She cannot allow them to leave!

Tonight: Lisset doesn’t want to be paid for her “work” and tells Eréndira to get out of their lives. Lisset foolishly thinks Eréndira will no longer bother them but of course that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Ismael and Vero met for coffee. They talk about Ismael being a father. Then, they talk about JP and Buenos Aires.

Eréndira and La piraña show up at the bar…

Matias and Marta leave the Oasis but Matias takes off on his own and is grabbed by Eréndira and La piraña. The “women” call Dario who expects to hear Matias’ voice but instead hears Eréndira’s nasal tones

Ismael and Alejandro talk and will meet. They agree to work together, albeit reluctantly. Their relationship will serve but one purpose: to help prove Lorena's innocence.

Dario and the girls are overjoyed and overcome with relief when Matias walks in; Marta hugging him tightly. She insults Eréndira and La piraña.

Eréndira and La piraña meet with an angry Marta and Dario. Erick and Lisset show up but the other two attack them (with their fists and a sharp knife) and make them leave. It seems they want Marta to denounce who Wikipedia notes are La Cirujano and Aidé (?) Marta wants no part of it.

Amanda gets her gun as Patricio enters her office. She tries to talk with him but he cuts her off. After she rushes out he looks at the famous Fugitvas board then stops and looks at something on her desk (a name and picture that flashed too quickly for me to ID).

FUGITIVAS #72 and #73 Part 2

Amanda goes to a bar, orders a beer and calls up a mug shot of the only other person in the bar. Another woman arrives and her picture quickly comes up on Amanda’s phone as well. The woman sees her staring and asks out loud what she wants. Amanda is texting when the women approach her. They get her up off the seat; one grabs her around the neck and the other pulls Amanda’s gun from her pants and trains it on her. A man comes in tipping them off that the police are there! Amanda is grabbed and taken out quickly. The informant won’t talk but Patricio forces the owner to tell him where they are; he says they went around the corner. Patricio finds one of the women but she won’t tell him where Amanda is.

Gun in the air, Patricio goes into the storeroom where the woman has her hand over Amanda’s mouth. Patricio points his gun at her as she has hers trained on the back of Amanda’s head. Patricio starts to raise his hands in defeat when all of a sudden, Amanda quickly attacks and subdues her assailant.

Shut the door Patricio says to Amanda. He asks her for some sort of information and she answers “Marta” (I cannot provide any context here); he seems flabbergasted. Eventually she smiles and says thank you papa but he yells at her that he is her boss, not her father. She then walks around the desk and hugs him, telling him she loves him. He kisses her head.

Oasis is closing down for the night as Alejandro and Lorena flirt. He notes they are alone and they take full advantage.

Patricio shows up at Marta’s who is surprised but pleased to see him. He questions her about whatever Amanda shared with him. Then she grabs his arm but he simply stares and coldly rebuffs her. She looks heartbroken.

Nico confronts Florencia; she tells him to get it through his head she doesn’t love him. She hands him the paternity test. Then, she actually reads him the results, adding salt to his already gaping wound.

Marta tells Dario and the girls that things didn’t go well with Patricio.

Isamel meets with Patricio, Amanda and several other policemen. Nico comes in loaded for bear. Amanda brings up Frida and Montse…Nico tells Ismael he should put his effort into capturing Lorena Martínez which will earn him points and respect of Arturo Marquez and family. Then, he calls Lorena Ismael’s amante, thus revealing their affair in front of everyone!!

As Nico reads the paternity test Ismael comes in and they have an argument which I did not understand.

FUGITIVAS #72 and #73 Part 3 of 3

Alejandro brings Lorena to a rustic but beautiful bedroom where the bed has gauzy white drapes and a roaring fire burns.

Montse looks at her phone showing “Facundo.” She tells Matias she is in love with someone who doesn’t know she was in jail. He is sweet and supportive.

Charo texts Alejandro who has just arrived home. She is sorry to bother him but asks how the investigation is going. He believes Arturo likely killed Juan Pablo to avoid going to jail for stealing the land in Playa Dorada. Ale advises Charo to be very careful. As this ends, she hangs up in tears saying something about Juan Pablo.

Singular episodes are more than challenging; double episodes with their slicing and dicing are a near impossibility for me. As I noted, I did check Wikipedia who identified La Cirujano and Aidé as the women Eréndira wanted Marta to denounce. Are La Cirujano and Aidé the two women who attacked Amanda tonight or are they two totally different people?? If someone could clarify, I would appreciate it. I was also clueless as to what Marta told Amanda that precipitated the events that followed.

I can only hope some of this is right; I was dazed and confused throughout. Your help in providing and/or correcting what I wrote will be gratefully appreciated.

Juana #64 part 1 of 3

Amparo is begging Rogelio for her son. He says he’s at a school taking classes in loyalty and discipline. She ends up on the floor crying. Rogelio calls Edwardo and puts Manuel on the phone. He doesn’t know where he is but tells her to denounce his dad and walk away.

Claudio and Carlos are talking. It seems like Rogelio can’t really merge their beer with Astro. Claudio also tells him the blood was Francisco’s and Carlos doesn’t think this is good for Gabriel, as it was his house.

Enriqueta gets home and there’s no Camila. She’s even dragged to a chair near Manuel by Camacho. When she sees what Rogelio did to Manuel, his son, she wonders what he’ll do to her, maybe kill her.

Salvador is comforting Jenny and saying Ramon died in peace. Jenny says that he told her he was glad to see her dressed in white. Then Salvador gets a phone call from Claudio and Carlos. Camila has also disappeared. They need to find them as their testimonies are crucial for Gabriel.

Gabriel gets 5 minutes to talk to Bruno in his cell. He thanks him for what he did for him and spoke to his lawyer about getting a lawyer for him. Bruno mentions the abuse his sister suffered and doesn’t seem interested in having a lawyer. He said he protected him(Gabriel) because his sister asked him to. He asks Gabriel to take care of her because she’s in danger.

Juana is looking at the blood stains and remembering. Felipe comes in and she shows him a picture of two images. She needs to make it clearer as this could save Gabriel.

Felipe gives a speech at the funeral. He tells all his father taught him and says fly night!

Claudio wonders where Castillo is, he should be looking for Manuel and Camila. Pacheco tells him his father-in-law died. Claudio apologizes. Pecheco tells Claudio they’ve been looking for them and won’t stop until they find them. This case is very personal for Salvador.

Juana talks to Carlos after the service. She asked how court went. He tells her Reny’s testimony helped and Paula helped too. Juana wonders how and Carlos says she called out a couple of times and now the judge wants him to be questioned. She then goes to Salvador and tells him she has the memory card. A picture isn’t clear. He says they have experts to fix that. Enriqueta and Felipe are talking. She liked what he says. He feels his dad helped him with handling his anger. David and Carlos appear as they have to go back to the brewery. Carlos tells him it was a good speech. Salvador is also leaving and asks him to take care of his sister.

Rogelio is now with Manuel and Camila. Rogelio is drinking a beer to toast the end of Rubio beer. Manuel says that will never happen. Rogelio says it will, the Rubio name will disappear. Manuel says no wonder your dad committed suicide, with a son like you. He yells shut up several times. Camila asks him to let them go. He says, why, so you can go to the judge.

Fugitivas

I'll see what questions I can answer for you Diana. First off la Piraña has a real name, Fernanda something that I promptly forgot. Piraña suits her fine. I was a bit confused too, but since you said it was a sliced and diced episode it makes more sense. Erendira wants the 2 bar people turned in and they want Marta to do it. Erendira has a huge grudge against them, possibly it was their fault she went to jail in the first place. Marta calls Amanda to tip her off about where they could be found. I think Patricio saw the map of the location Amanda was off to which is why he got a team to find her.

Patricio asks Amanda ,after her rescue, what was she doing there. She says she got an anonymous tip. He is going to trace the call, so she admits it was Marta that told her. Now Patricio goes to the Oasis to speak with Marta. He asks why she tipped Amanda about the 2 Fugitivas. She says she felt bad about Frida and when she discovered the 2 she wanted to make it up to him. He is not suitably grateful and tells her his daughter was nearly killed as a result ( of course that was Amanda's fault for not having backup, especially if she was on the lookout for 2 possible escapees.)

Now for Niko and Florencia, she got a strand of Ismael's hair ( I bet it was actually Nick's) and the results prove the child is Ismael's.

Once again the Fugitivas are out and about with no disguise. It was totally stupid on Alejandro and Lorena's part to run off to a rustic inn. I guess the show needed some more gratuitous sex scenes to appeal to those that expect them.
 

OT, las hijas de la senora Garcia

I think I'll watch this one. I bet we can get a crew to recap rather than just 1, although if the next round of TNs has several good shows we may end up doing solo duty again. One of the trailers made me check out the cast. Brandon Peniche is in it. That makes 3 TNs in a row for him that I will have watched. I liked him in Nadie Como Tu, not so much in Juana.
 

Juana #64 part 2

Salvador brings the memory card to the lab and asks them to work on it. Pacheco comes in with a folder. Rubio is not an employee of Astro beer it a large sum of money goes to a Swiss bank account every month.

Dani tells the girls at work that Juana’s grandfather died. They all are sorry. Then she tells them Claudio said it will be very hard for Astro to take over Rubio beer. Meanwhile our three are in an office with Claudio. He tells them without Manuel and Camila it will be difficult to win the case. It’s Reny’s word against Rogelio’s. He shows them the picture of the blood. Juana can testify that Gabriel was not near the bridge. They may be able to make one image clearer. Salvador calls and tells them about the Swiss deposits. Laudio asks him to lean hard on the owner of Astro about that.

Juana thanks her aunt for watching the baby. The aunt says she’s praying for Gabriel. She leaves to say goodbye to Josefina. Jenny asks Juana to relax, she’s so nervous. Juana is worried she’ll say the wrong thing in court and hurt Gabriel’s case. Jenny is going to be with her. And she’s praying she’ll have the right words to say. Memo is with Josefina when Juana and Jenny come in with instructions for the baby. They leave and Memo tells Josefina what a grand woman she is and how he admires her. They kiss on the lips and then hug. Felipe has witnessed this and backs away with a smile on his face.

Salvador is sure Rogelio has Manuel and Camila. He tells Pacheco to check out Camacho and the chauffeur’s places. But to be careful because they’re professionals.

Rogelio’s lawyer is worried about Camila and Manuel testifying. Rogelio says that won’t happen. And he can discredit Reny’s testimony. The lawyer is worried he’s too confident. He replies, “He who owes nothing fears nothing”.

Jenny wonders why they’re there so early. Juana says she can speak to Gabriel when they bring him in. He. O es in and she kisses him. The guards pull him away. Carlos asks Enriqueta how Felipe is. Then he tells her she needs to decide who she’ll spend the rest of her life with. Then he says it should be Felipe.

Claudio tells Gabriel about the Swiss money which proves Rogelio would profit by a merger. Gabriel says this won’t prove his innocence. Claudio says they have the blood match. Gabriel does not want Juana to testify, he doesn’t want Quiroz questioning her. Claudio says Gabriel knows Juana better than anyone. She won’t accept that.

Salvador is interviewing the head of Astro. He shows him all the papers with the deposits. And his signature. A judge can find him guilty of fraud against m
Mexico-14 years in prison. If he cooperates it can go down to 7 years. And if Salvador talks to the judge he might not get jail time.

Paula doesn’t think her father would ever hurt Manuel. Amparo tells her her father is a monster. He used her marriage and he used her. He will throw her away like trash one day, just as he did to her and. Manuel. Paula might be thinking now.

Rogelio enters the courthouse laughing with the reporters. He tells his lawyer she’s too serious.

Claudio is telling Juana how to act when questioned. He tells her she’s strong and can do this. She’s not happy about seeing Rogelio but she’s doing this for Gabriel.

Thank you so much for confirming La Cirujano and Aidé ARE the women Eréndira has a grudge against. I like your theory that they were responsible for her incarceration.

So Marta tipped Amanda off, another important piece of the puzzle revealed. I agree with you that Amanda should have called for backup sooner; she put herself in danger. Patricio's anger toward Marta hasn't seemed to have subsided at all.

Great theory that the hair provided for the paternity test was Nico's. He is convinced the baby is his; and he certainly has every reason to believe that.

Juana #64 part 3

Rogelio walks into the courtroom oozing confidence. Paula comes in after him. Jenny expresses her opinion of both of them. Rogelio stands in front and promises to tell the truth.

Pacheco is outside getting a coffee and watching Camacho.

Quiroz is questioning Rogelio, who says he didn’t know Francisco well. It he heard them arguing because Gabriel wanted his shares but didn’t have any money. Claudio then questions him. He says Reny was a terrible employee but his son prevented him from firing Reny. He denies knowing that the papers for Camila’s shares were false. Claudio tells the judge Manuel and Camila disappeared, but he has no proof that Rogelio is behind it. He presents the papers and says Rogelio is a major shareholder in Astro beer and was destroying Rubio beer. The judge tells him to stick with information on the murder. Juana is then called to the stand.

Outside the courthouse the lawyer is not happy with Rogelio. He yells at her that obtaining Rubio beer has been his life’s work and she better disappear from his life or he will see that she disappears. Paula is watching this. And it looks like Pacheco is ready to follow Camacho. He’s on the phone with Salvador who tells him to take no risks and call for backup if needed. Salvador is in the lab with one of the men working on the picture.

Quiroz is awful questioning Juana. He first presents her as the woman that broke up his marriage, then that she slept around so didn’t know he was the father, and last that she deliberately withheld the memory card because the blood on the bridge implicated Gabriel.

Pacheco isn’t the only one that followed Camacho. Paula gets to hear her father tell Camila and Manuel that they’ll never speak to anyone again.

Claudio is now showing the photos and questioning Juana. He asks why there aren’t other photos of Francisco. She says she never saw him again. Meanwhile Salvador is running up the steps of the courthouse. He says he has proof of the assassin. Quiroz doesn’t want it to be entered. The judge sees what it is and allows it. Claudio announces it’s a picture of Francisco with his assassin

Thank you, Diana, for another very fine recap of yet another two for one. I was frustrated, too, by Amanda, blinded by her ambition, being so reckless to go on the fugitive apprehension alone. I, also, agree that Patricio’s anger towards Marta does not seem to have abated one bit. Will there be only one happy couple, Lorena and Alejandro, at the end or will there be some drama that will bring Patricio and Marta back together? So many questions for so little time!

"Blinded by ambition" was a perfect descriptive of Amanda. Too hot headed and impetuous.

I think that Patricio and Marta will end up together...That said, he is such an honest man I can't see that happening until he tells Ismael the truth about his "injury". Ismael forgave Amanda very quickly and I think he will here too.

Juana,
Liz, you always do a great job. I get most of the dialogue now so I have a good idea of what is going on, but you certainly sharpen my focus, like Rogelio wanting his lawyer to disappear. I got the final threat but not the first part of it.

From a prosecutors point of view Quiroz was actually doing a spectacular job. He riled up Gabriel, flustered Juana, etc. I still see no jurors so I guess it is just the judge determining the outcome. Is this typical in Mexican law?

Have they shown Reny since he was captured and divulged Camila's whereabouts? (BTW she is going to star in a future show, La Jefa, which looks interesting but perhaps darker than I like. I must admit for a villain she has been a likeable one with a dark past and present which makes me sympathize with her. If Viviana weren't in the picture I think she and Manuel would have been a good match).

I think Paula may finally be redeemed with seeing first hand what her father plans to do, and has done, to her brother.

Diana, good point about Patricio needing to be honest to and forgiven by Ismael, who hasn’t been necessarily squeaky clean about the FUGITIVAS (Lorena) either, in order to move forward with Marta.

Diana I fully understand. I'm single handedly recapping a Telemundo show with little input from the patio as I think only 2 are watching it. As a result I've really scaled down my recap to a single post which I do from memory just after viewing . That way the scenes that made an impression on me or furthered the plot are highlighted and the rest is filler, imo. It has made my life so much easier and gives me the opportunity to watch other shows and interact with the Patio. Hopefully you can find a show you like in the next round ( winter is prime tv viewing time for me as the weather and darkness dictate indoor activities.). My eyesight for handwork is failing. Hopefully my next eye appointment i will find out if a new prescription will correct the eye that had surgery.

Thanks Kat. I really have to read the clises captions to figure out conversations. I do look up a lot of words! I guess it’s not a jury trial, hope it’s an honest judge. I haven’t seen Reny, wonder if he survived. Camila is hard to figure. Maybe like any of us but her good and bad are exagerated. The good characters certainly trust her! I agree that Paula will have here yes opened and see her dad for the monster her mother described. But i do want her to be punished, not ride off into the sunset with Lorenzo! Quiroz did his job well, but knowing he knows Gabriel is innocent makes it hard to be impressed with him.
I don’t like dark shows. This was perfect with it’s heartwarming moments, romance but just enough evil.

FUGITIVAS #74 Part 1

When the walls are closing in, it’s time to build your own door - Unknown

Alejandro believes that Arturo killed Juan Pablo because he wanted to avoid going to jail for stealing the land from Juan Pablo’s father. Alejandro advises a distraught Charo to be very cautious. Charo mutters to herself in tears about Arturo harming Juan Pablo.

Ismael calls Juan Pablo’s psychologist and asks to meet with her.

Patricio is back in his office and he gets a call, getting animated saying thank you to the caller. He rushes into Ismael’s office (Amanda is already there) and they look at an online picture.

Arturo joins Florencia for breakfast. When Charo doesn’t respond to Florencia’s calls, she goes into the kitchen but not seeing her there, goes into Charo’s bedroom but she isn’t there either. Florencia opens drawers and sees they are empty. Charo is gone she tells Arturo. Florencia is clearly confused, commenting that she was there last night. Arturo stands sternly, hands in his pockets. Next, Florencia calls Charo on her cell but she doesn’t answer. Arturo says something disparaging to the effect that Charo is “just a servant.”

Matias has a math test and has to get going. Dario walks him out as Lorena, Lisset and Frida come into the kitchen. And Montse Marta asks? They don’t know.

Montse rings Facundo’s bell (in more ways than one 😊). Facundo comes to the door with a hundred-watt smile. He is completely besotted and thrilled to see her. Inside they kiss as she asks for his forgiveness. The only important thing is that you are here he says. She spins a yarn about her father as he continues to stare, kissing her hand. Does he say something about Miami?

Arturo goes into his study and finds a letter waiting for him. We hear Charo’s voice as he reads it. She cannot forgive him for hurting Juan Pablo. But then she inserts and twists the knife by telling him oh, btw, the Playa Dorada documents are now in the hands of (ta da) Alejandro Castillo! Arturo’s face darkens as he mutters “maldita” as he crumples the note. For the first time, we see a bit of fear clouding his expression.

Marta knocks on the bathroom door calling out for Montse asking if she is all right. Not hearing a response she goes into the bedroom where there is (another) note along with Montse’s cell phone. Montse is gone she tells the fugitivas. “It’s impossible” Frida says as Marta shakes her head. Lisset seems to feel Montse should take the consequences of her actions; Frida isn’t supportive either. Only Lorena defends Montse saying she is in love.

FUGITIVAS #74 Part 2

Alejandro and Ismael meet at the office of Juan Pablo’s doctor.

Matias comes in as the girls are obviously moping. He asks where Montse is and when told she isn’t there, he immediately guesses that she is with her boyfriend. They are shocked he knows!

Facundo introduces the new lady of the house to Lupita.

Ismael and Alejandro tell the doctor they are investigating Juan Pablo’s murder. Ismael relates he was a friend of Juan Pablo’s and that Alejandro represents Lorena who was charged with the murder. The doctor is reluctant to talk due to the confidential nature of her relationship with Juan Pablo. During the course of the conversation she relates that Juan Pablo was in love with a married woman. Was it Lorena she is asked. No, the person he was in love with was Florencia. Alejandro looks at Ismael a bit sheepishly as Ismael merely nods with a small gulp. Buenos Aires is mentioned as is Consuelo. She also shares Arturo Marquez swindled her patient’s father. He was sad and depressed as Arturo was like his father. She is interrupted by a call her next patient is there. They thank her and then take their leave.

Where is Montse Dario asks. She is gone Frida says she went to live with her love. What he asks?

Ismael and Alejandro have a post meeting coffee. Alejandro tells him he is sorry about Florencia and Ismael sort of shakes it off. Something is said about Arturo’s ex…

A much happier Lucre meets with Vincente and the woman who he was tutoring on the computer. Is she going to be doing some seamstress work? The woman hugs Lucre as Vincente beams approval.

As the fugitivas primp for the evening, Lisset again harps about Montse.

Florencia is lying in wait for Ismael in the hall outside his apartment (I’m distracted by the two bullseye patterns on each side of her skirt). He is quite cold says something about the baby I didn’t get. He shows her out.

Facundo and Montse are turning out to be quite the couple as they kiss as she puts his suit coat on.

Alejandro texts Lorena: he needs to see her.

FUGITIVAS #74 Part 3 of 3

Marta rings Facundo’s bell asking her for Montse telling Lupita she is her mother!! When she tells Montse who is downstairs, Montse stares, knowing full well who it is.

Lorena visits Alejandro and I believe that Arturo’s ex is mentioned again. He tells her about the documents Charo gave him. Declarations of love and more kissing ensue.

Montse hesitatingly descends the stairs; Marta says how worried she is about her. Montse stands her ground as Marta tells Montse she is living in a fantasy. Montse tries to defend herself; here, she is the woman of the house! Marta tries to remind her who she is telling her that her name is “Montserrat Torres.” She tells her “let’s go” but Montse refuses telling her she is in love with Facundo. Marta finally seems to understand and hands Montse her phone back.

Facundo calls Montse and asks how his love is. She says her mother came by and is not happy. He tells her not to worry. I believe he tells her to go on a shopping spree.

Marta tells Lisset and Frida Montse is not coming back. I think Lisset says something about Montse wanting Facundo’s money. Marta asks about Lorena.

Montse is having a Pretty Woman moment in the mall trying on shoes, hats and sunglasses. All that’s missing is the pizza. She sports a huge smile as she strolls, laden down with packages.

Alejandro comes home and the doorbell immediately rings. Surprise, it’s Arturo. He tells him he wants “the” documents. Alejandro toys with him, pretending to “look” for the Playa Dorada papers. Arturo starts in once again that Lorena Martinez is Juan Pablo’s murderer. Alejando senses Arturo is desperately afraid he will be proven as the murderer once it is revealed he swindled Juan Pablos’ father. Alejandro asks him to admit what he’s done.

Facundo clearly loves Montse and I really hoped she was going to tell him the truth! Everyone was harping on Montse but little is said to or about Lorena who is still meeting and running around in broad daylight with Alejandro. I have a feeling Arturo’s ex is mixed up in a lot of this; she is clearly a shrew.

Kindly add what I missed, couldn’t interpret and/or correct what I got wrong.

Juana #65 part 1 of 3

Quiroz accused Juana of modifying the photograph to help her lover. Salvador testified that all he did was have the lab make the photo cleared. Quiroz didn’t want Salvador to testify but the judge said it was his courtroom. Salvador then accused Quiroz of working for Rogelio and deliberately ignoring evidence that would find Gabriel innocent. The judge declared Gabriel innocent.

Rogelio is angry and shouting at Manuel and Camila. Camila begs to live but Manuel tells her not to bother, his father is full of hate. Rogelio hits both of them on the forehead as he yells at them. He says that he was on the point of sinking Rubio Beers. Quiroz calls him. Rogelio says I hope you have good news for me, that Gabriel will spend the rest of his life in jail. Instead Quiroz sends the picture Juana took and tells him he better disappear. Paula is still hiding.

At the courthouse Gabriel thanks Juana, he’s free because of her. She says you’re free because you were innocent. Elvira thanks Juana and apologizes to Gabriel, who tells her she has nothing to apologize for. Jenny tells Salvador he saves all of them. Just then Pacheco calls. He’s at the hideout and will send the location. Salvador will come with a team.

Rogelio and his men are making plans when Paula appears. She can’t believe he would sacrifice his own son to save himself.

At the courthouse Gabriel and Juana are talking with the three plus Dani. Claudio comes over to tell them Salvador is going after Rogelio. Juana goes to her mom who is frightened that he’s facing two assassins. The monster and his crazy daughter

Paula is asking her father how he could be doing this. He says they’re traitors. Camila says he abused her, he’s a monster. Manuel also speaks. Rogelio says they’re liars. Paula says her mother was right, he is a monster. He says no, you’re strong like me, come with me. She says no, you tried to destroy the Rubio family but you destroyed ours. She goes to untie her brother and Rogelio pulls her away, if she’s going to act like them she deserves the same fate. The police are on the street. Camacho tells Rogelio, who now has Paula tied up too. He tells Salvador if they shoot he will kill these three, and it doesn’t matter that two are his kids. Camila had been working on the ties the whole time. She gets free, hits Rogelio with a board and picks up his gun. She first aims it at his men and they back off. Then she points it at Rogelio as he tells Camacho to shoot her.

Juana, Gabriel and Jenny are greeted by Josefina at home. Margarita comes out and gives her a hug then she and Gabriel go in to the baby. Jenny sits down with her mom, who is wondering how her daughter is.

Rogelio gets the gun from Camila as she is calling to Paula and Manuel. He shoots her. Salvador runs up and gets shot. Rogelio runs but the rest of his men get shot, mostly by Pacheco, who is really angry. Rogelio is taken alive. Some of his men are probably still alive.

Juana #65 part 2

Yadira has brought food made with love for Chimis. Felipe comes in as Yadira leaves. They’re moving to a little house by a lake and Chimis is opening his own place. But he has the perfect person to replace him.

Carlos and Enriqueta are talking. Gabriel is now where he needs to be. Enriqueta announces she’s resigning. Dani will be good in her place.

Josefina decides since Salvador is facing a monster they need to go to the church to pray.

Gabriel and Juana bring the baby home where they’re greeted by Alnieta and Tomas. The baby is introduced and Anieta has everything ready for them.

Salvador is put on an ambulance. As Rogelio is put in the back of a police car he looks at Angel and Paula. Once he gets in the jail he is accused of business espionage, the two murders and a couple of other things. He’ll be put in the general population tomorrow until he goes before a judge.

Iviana is waiting with Amparo when Manuel and Paula arrive. Paula tells her mom it was awful. Their dad killed Camila. Manuel says she saved their lives.

The family and Memo are in the hospital waiting room talking to Juana and Gabriel on a video call. Juana says whatever they need, let them know. Memo says leave them with their son, Josefina says they don’t need anything. Jenny asks Pacheco what happened. He says it was all so fast. Margarita says that’s what the police do. Jenny says Salvador always has to save the world. Felipe says he’s the police.

Juana and Gabriel are having a normal evening on the couch, in front of the fire, with a glass of wine. They reminisce about the first time he brought her here.

The doctor tells Jenny all is good. She goes in his hospital room. She was worried about being a widow. She’s thankful Pacheco acted quickly. Salvador says that’s the first time he did anything quickly.

Felipe and Josefina arrive home. She wants a hot bath. He mentions Memo. Josefina starts to lecture him but he says he’s glad she’s giving him a chance, he was always there for her. He’s going to work. She wonders why. Mimos is leaving and has someone to take his place. Felipe gets to work. The new guy is,in the bathroom. Felipe thinks it might be better if he worked alone. Jim is laughs at that. The new employee approaches. It’s Enriqueta. Felipe thinks it’s a joke, but she says no, she has her certification. Chimis happily leaves them. Enriqueta is ready to work. And she looks very different.

Gabriel has told Bruno about Camila. Bruno says she wasn’t a bad girl. Gabriel is going to take care of their mother. It sounds like Bruno is going to tale care of Rogelio.

Amparo and Manuel are telling Paula she should leave the country. Lorenzo says they can go together. Just then Pacheco and a couple of officers enter. Paula is under arrest for the attempted assassination of Juana. Quiroz gave the order. Amparo cries no but Paula stands up and says she’s not like her father, she’ll take her consequences.

Thanks, Diana, for the great recap and another great quote. It was so annoying that Lorena and Marta (the two metiches/meddlers) couldn't just leave Montse go. When Marta showed up at Facundo's house, his maid could have overheard the whole conversation. DUH! Hope she didn't. A credit card without limits! I hope Montse enjoys herself for as long as it lasts. YES! "All that is missing is the pizza."

Patricio has news for Ismael. Sara, who was one of the FUGITIVAS, died in a shootout. They identify her by seeing a photo of her body sent to Ismael's e-mail.

The letter to Arturo from Charo:
I am very sorry for having left without saying goodbye but I cannot stay one second more in this house. I am grateful for the years you allowed me to to work for your family but in these last days, I discovered that you are not who you say you are. You hurt JP a lot and I cannot forgive that. He had in his possession the documents for the land sale at Playa Dorada. JP wanted you to pay for having swindled his father so I have turned over the documents to attorney Alejandro Castillo. May God forgive you because I cannot.

Arturo damns Charo.

Montse weaves a story about her ill father that Facundo believes. She tells him that now since she is has returned, she is never leaving.

At first when Montse doesn't appear, Marta is peeved because she thinks she is taking too long of a shower and wasting water!

JP's psychiatrist tells Alejandro and Ismael that when JP got back from Buenos Aires, he began to have misgivings about his relationship with Arturo who until then had filled in as a father for him. He had gone to Buenos Aires to see a woman named Consuelo (Márquez's ex) who wanted to sell her shares that she had to the Márquez company. JP was interested in buying them. That trip changed his life. Consuelo revealed many things he didn't know like his father didn't die from an accident as Arturo had made him believe. Instead, he had committed suicide. That was very hard for him to hear. Consuelo had no idea why Guillermo would have taken his own life but it was said that he had no money left but that couldn't have been true because shortly before, Arturo had bought some land in Play Dorada from him that were worth a great deal of money. She was convinced that the "supposed" bankruptcy could not be the reason that he took his life. She also didn't understand why Arturo would have taken charge of JP when the relationship between Márquez and Guillermo was so bad. They hadn't been able to stand each other for a long time. Alejandro concludes that is why JP was investigating the land sale. The psychiatrist says yes, and he had found many irregularities. JP thought that Márquez had taken him in so nobody would suspect that he had swindled his father. JP went through many stages: sadness, pain, deception, anger. He felt deeply betrayed because Márquez had been like a father to him. In spite of it all he wanted to get to the bottom of it all so there could be justice done.

Ismael tells Alejandro that he feels bad that JP was going through all of what he was and didn't trust him enough to tell him but then admits that shortly before his death, they really weren't that close. Then he died and he found out he had been Flo's lover. That explains why they had become distant. Ismael thinks it was hard for JP to find out that his father had killed himself and that Arturo and Guillermo were't really great friends as Márquez had always made it appear. Alejandro is sure that Márquez did that on purpose to cover the swindle. What interests Alejandro even more is that Márquez's ex didn't believe that Guillermo had any reason to kill himself. Did Márquez kill him and make it look like a suicide? Ismael says that Guillermo died on a ranch in Silao, Guanajuato. JP wanted to sell it because he didn't want to own the place where his father had died. Alejandro concludes they have to find a way to prove that everything the doctor told them is true and that Arturo was the only person with a motive to kill JP.

Lucre is learning how to sew and has made a pair of pants for her son. Vicente and his employer bring her a bag full of fabric and thread so she can make more things for him.

Florencia tells Ismael she is ready to come live with him in a new house as roomies to give their child a family home to grow up in. He tells her the offer is off. He will see his child on weekends like millions of parents do.

Facundo gives Montse a credit card without a $ limit so she can entertain herself by going shopping while he is at work. .

Facundo suggests that when he finishes up some work he needs to complete, they will go on a vacation to Turkey and Greece. That makes Monste happy.

Juana #65 part 3

Rogelio enters the general population a Bruno and his group see him. One goes up to him with a sharp object that he sticks in his side. He brings him to Bruno who says, welcome to my house. He’s not going to kill him because he wants him to suffer. He tells Rogelio to clean his shoes and pushes him down. Rogelio tells him he has money and can pay him to protect him. Bruno introduces himself, after his name he adds, brother of Camila.

At the hospital Pacheco and Margarita are visiting. He says that got Rogelio and Quiroz. Jenny doesn’t like Salvador being in danger. Pacheco says there might be a new place for him, they need a new Fiscual. Salvador starts to laugh but it hurts.

Enriqueta is working on a tire. She tells Felipe he didn’t fit in her world so she decided to fit in his world. He says he has one more test for her. He asks her what type of car the red car is. She tells him and they get in. She mentions the vinal seats and the radio. They kiss.

We’ve skipped ahead three years. Paula walks out of prison and Lorenzo is waiting for her. She’s ready to start a new life. They kiss.

Salvador is complementing Pacheco on good numbers, in three years they have no pending cases. He’s the Fiscual. A very pregnant Jenny comes in. He’s late and they have to arrive early.

Felipe and Enriqueta have a modernized garage. Margarita comes to get them as they can’t be late, and they have to bathe and change clothes.

Josefina is working in the market. She lets a woman buy stuff but says she doesn’t have to pay until her son has a job. Memo says that is why he loves her. They kiss. Two woman come up. It looks like they work for,them. They tell Josefina a restaurant is going to buy there sweets. Pepito is still in that business.

Manuel brings some papers to Dani.. Juana comes in with Edwardo. Dani hugs him. Then they go,to,his,dad’s office, where she leaves him. Next we are at Juana’s graduation.Everyone is there. Dani is pregnant too. Carlos and Inez are sitting together. Juana graduated with honors. Afterwards Jenny says her baby will be the uncle of her grandson. Josefina stops that conversation. Gabriel tells Mismo Juana will work at the brewery. All the guests are at a long table. Gabriel and Juana thank them all Gabriel says he’s very proud of Juana. She says he and their child were her destiny. The fin sign is over a wedding picture. Their child looks the age he is so they recently married.

A sort of satisfying ending. Paula did not get off Scott free and she paid for her crimes, also mending bridges with her mother and brother. I would have preferred Camila to live. If she killed her father but Bruno took the blame she could have perhaps decided to admit it and save him...maybe a confession letter would have been good. They didn't show Camila's mother, nor Reny.

Salvador, the savior. Gets there in the nick of time, presents great evidence, puts the fiscual out of a job ( and hopefully in jail with Rogelio), rushes into battle and neglects to wear a bullet proof vest. Everyone else was protected.

So they didn't end with a wedding. I thought the drawn out standing ovation for Juana was over the top. A smattering of applause for the girl before her and 2 minutes of Juana being cheered and whistled. I thought the reception was a wedding, then realized it was for her graduation.

I also noted the wedding photo. I expected that knot to have been tied within days of his freedom. It would have been more appropriate for her to have been holding the baby.

Jarifa, thank you for relaying so much of what occurred and for painting it exquisitely in such vivid colors.

"May God forgive you because I cannot" makes me more curious than ever as to what Juan Pablo's relationship to Charo was.

He felt deeply betrayed because Márquez had been like a father to him." It is a very sad tale. Is the reason I can muster up little sympathy due to the fact he had an affair with Florencia? I know hurt and anger can make one lash out but (perhaps unfairly) JP did not seem like a good person. Speaking of not being a good person, I'll add Consuelo to the list.

I hadn't realized Ismael had rescinded his offer to have Florencia live with him. No wonder she was so angry!

It was fun watching Montse being queen for a day! I still have my fingers crossed she will tell Facundo the truth before her world implodes.

I agree with you Kat. I would have liked Camila to live and her brother to be free. But maybe he was also guilty of other crimes. There neighborhood was tough and he didn’t have a good role model. This way Rogelio will pay for his action every single day. I hate when the really bad guy gets killed, they get off too easy. To me, the biggest surprise was Felipe’s sleek, modern garage. Enriqueta must have used her business expertise to turn the business around. But yes, why did Juana and Gabriel wait so long to get married. I did think everyone was rushing to a wedding, not an over the top graduation! Thanks for watching with me and sharing your thoughts.

Diana, I don't know whether Facundo would be able to forgive Montse. Wasn't her original crime defrauding older men with a relationship for their money. She may truly love this guy, but he may look at it differently. Ideally when his job finishes up and he gets a job in another country, she manages to escape with him on her fake passport and credentials never to return again.

I agree Marta shouldn't have gone to see her.

Thank you so much for the recaps!!! I'm in the fire zone in LA, pretty near the edge of one fire. I evacuated but my house is okay.
The local Univision preempted Juana to show fire news. At first that was understandable but as late as Thursday they still were doing it, though there were just a few fire updates and they mostly showed footage they'd been showing all day. And here we were in ultimos capitulos! They did show Rosa de Gualaupe and Fugitivas, but not Juana!
Fortunately they showed the final last night, so at least I got to see that. The recaps have been a godsend!!

Kat, all of the fugitivas previous crimes are a bit murky so I can't recall what Montse's crime was.

Will he or won't he? I'm leaning toward yes simply because forgiveness does seem to be woven throughout many of the storylines. Ismael (quite easily) forgiving Amanda for quite a serious infraction and Dario finally forgiving Frida are two examples.

Patricio forgiving Marta is up the air; first, he will need to forgive himself.

Wow, that was am interesting finale ...no wedding despite so many couples and pregnancies. I was sure that Jenny would be shown pregnant , but I expected Juana and Gabriel would marry immediately . Instead , they waited three years until Juana got her degree. Perhaps this was,a,PSA about the importance of education.

Consuelo (Arturo's ex) is a piece of work. In her scene with her hardly beloved son Vincente, she was almost dripping venom. No wonder she ended up with Arturo, at least initially.

Maggie, so sorry for all you’re going through. Fire is one of my fears, and I’m on the east coast. Glad you’re ok and the recaps helped.

Susan, I liked the ending, although we needed to see a wedding, not just a photo. I definitely would have chosen the wedding over the graduation!

Steve, Camila had done a lot which the three, and Gabriel, were not aware of. They just saw the good she did in the business. So she went out a heroine. Paula took her punishment and I think she’ll be a different person now. Enriqueta did look good in the garage. Maybe more relaxed in hair, clothes, etc.

But what happened to Reny!!
