#29 This will be brief. I have to rise very early tomorrow. Plus, I’m wearying of all the horrible people. I can’t remember ever watching a novela with THAT many characters I can’t stand.

BSC Veronica makes a scene at the hospital. She says that Eduardo left his family for Gloria and, in passing, mentions his deceased son. After Gloria threatens to call the police, they go into another corridor. Ed finds out she left his child alone. Later we see the girl say she's hungry.

Mathilde tells Erna she’s not going to stay with her because of Jacinto.

Veronica comes home. Her daughter, Amanda, is playing with her birthday gifts. Veronica mixes a drug from her purse with some juice and forces the kid to drink it. I remember Eduardo speaking with Amanda in an earlier episode, asking why she was sleeping so much. [Hmmm. Is Veronica a Munchhausen mommy?] As if that isn’t bad enough, she proceeds to tell the child that her father left her for another family and doesn’t love them anymore.

Erna overhears Mathilde telling Gloria over the phone that she was tested in L.A., and that she’s compatible to donate a kidney to Dani.

Torres has several phone calls with Nino. Then he robs one of the four trucks Castillo assured Duque would get safely through Mexico.

Erna tells Luisa about what she heard. Luisa shows complete lack of concern for Dani and says what’s wrong with him must be because of Gloria’s bad life.

Duque tells Castillo to get back his truck or he’ll die.

Torres finds out that the truck he stole is loaded with bags of cocaine, not money.

Luisa tells Erna to let her know if their mother seems ready to head for the airport.

Laura drops by and discovers that Yadira is about to record one of her “hot” videos for her “followers”. Yadira tries to convince Laura it is a way to make good money, and not really prostitution. Laura can’t bring herself to do it.

Bolillo comes to Miguelito’s school and lures him away. He’s taken to meet a “friend”, the boy’s actual father, Arturo. Miguelito hasn’t ever seen him. After some kicking a soccer ball around in the park, they convince the kid to go somewhere with them.

Dani has another medical crisis. [This is SO repetitive.] Torres shows up. Gloria is so frantic that she throws her arms around him, needing comfort. Torres assures her he’ll get the money for the transplant ($250K).

Perron has a lawyer. He tells the guy he has big bucks. The plan is to bribe some official to get him out. [Why couldn’t they just leave that disgusting guy in prison?] Mercifully we are spared any sightings of Maribel. But yesterday we did see the assassins she hired bring Gloria and Dani to the hospital. So…two more baddies to add to the numbers.

Erna calls Luisa when she overhears Mathilde talking about flying to L.A. She locks her mother in her room!

Some guys grab up Torres and put him into the usual big, black SUV with a black bag over his head.

Torres is bought to a big boss in a fancy mariachi jacket. It’s Guillermo Quintanilla, a guy I’ve seen many, many times, sometimes a baddie, sometimes not. I assume Eduardo is trying to sell Duque’s cocaine.

Novelera: Thanks for the recap of last night's episode. Just disgusting of seeing the largest group of villains winning 24/7.

Luisa & Erna both need to die painful deaths.

I'm just waiting for the debut of "DINASTIAS CASILLAS".

Gracias, Novelera. Yes, the parade of horrible people continues. Our newest horrible person, Torres's wife, is off the charts. I'm betting on Munchhausen too. I hope they clear this up soon because seeing Daniel, Torres's daughter, AND Laura's son all at the mercy of despicable adults is too much.

I'm guessing Laura will get in on Yadira's hot video venture.

I cheered when Mati slapped Luisa on Monday night.

Eduardo has really sunk in my estimation. Yes, he’s pitiful. And Vero is sick. Did she tell Ed that tragedy struck last time he had a lover? “[Hmmm. Is Veronica a Munchhausen mommy?]” is she doing this so Ed will stick around? Did she do this to their son and he died?

Bolillo and Arturo used some Mexican slang with Miguel. The kid said they talked strangely.

And I also hope Juanita is doing better and she's back with us soon.

Novelera, thank you for wading through another dark and stormy night of an episode, I haven't had a chance to watch this episode yet . I'll have to fast forward through a lot of the danger , doom, and gloom . These days , there seems to be no balance between good and evil . It's non-stop evil . ugh

Thanks very much, Niecie, dondi, and Steve, for your good wishes. I'm happy to say that I'm out of the hospital and recovering slowly but surely at home. I was not able to follow La Jefa once I entered the hospital, and I've decided I am just not up to trying to catch up now. However, I hope to be more involved with the Telemundo pages in the coming weeks.

Glad you’re getting better, Juanita, and hope Telemundo comes up with something better soon to make your recovery more entertaining.

I haven’t been able to get into this one with time away, and since they killed off Sebas, I’m not sure there’s a reason to try. Bring back the Turkish mob families! Or something where someone is likable.
