Welcome to page 1 of Primetime TNs/Series. Jarifa is providing recaps/notes from the couch for A.Mar…YAY!! Kat is knocking it out of the park with her recaps for Juegos; and there’s great discussion on Karsu! As always and PLE-E-EASE!!, if some brave soul(s) would like to contribute a recap or just some highlights for any of the listed TNs, it would be greatly appreciated. A.MAR Capítulo 6 Notes from the Couch . . . Parte 1
Fabián and Yazmín
Yazmín leaves her grandmother's house without saying goodbye. Oliver almost knocks her down carrying water to the beach but is immediately smitten with her. He helps her with her luggage as she walks to her father's house. Later, he tells Perla that he has met the girl of his dreams.
Yazmín makes it very clear to Fabián that the only reason she is there is because of the court order and what his friend Erika advised her to do. She cannot praise Erika enough. We find out that Yasmín was twelve when the accident happened. She feels like Fabián abandoned her by sending her to live with her grandmother. She felt like an orphan. Then there is the fact that he killed her mother. Fabián explains that when her mother died , he was so upset that he couldn't care of her at first so he took her to her grandmother's for several days. When he came back to get her, her grandmother had already gained custody of her. He has spent the last five years trying to get custody back though the courts. Yazmín wants nothing to do with him and will be gone when she turns eighteen. She hates him. When their argument is over, she takes a pill. She talks with Javier and tells him she wishes she could sleep until her birthday. Little does she know, it looks like Javier has another girlfriend and customer. He uses the same line on her that he used on Yazmín about not paying money for the drugs but paying with something else.
Gonzalo tells his son Fabián that he needs to give his daughter time. She is young but he is sure that when she matures, she will realize what he did for her and forgive him.
Erika's plan to get closer to Fabián via Yazmín has backfired. He is angry that she would have the nerve to talk to his daughter. She had no right to stick her nose in his business. She whines that she was only trying to help. He reminds her that they are done being novios. He tells her to leave.
Iker and the Mystery Woman aka the Mermaid
Iker walks in on his father "consoling" (?) the mystery woman with a hug. Gabriel is quick to tell him he didn't see what he thought he saw. (I think I saw what Iker saw) Iker explains that mermaids cast spells so that men fall in love with them. Gabriel warns his son that the mystery woman will be leaving them to get on with her own life so he shouldn't get so attached to her and that he should not be so rude to Brisa because she is his girlfriend and isn't going anywhere.
When the mystery woman tells Iker that the psychiatrist told her that smells and tastes might be just the things to help her regain her memory, he takes her along with Valentín and Azul to a statue of Aramara (sort of looks like it could be the Virgin of Aramara if such a thing exists). The mystery woman has brought flowers for Aramara and prays for her help. Suddenly, they hear the sound of seagulls overhead and they turn around to see that there is a beautiful rainbow over the ocean. They all consider that a sign that Aramara heard her prayer.
No Escape for Tiburón
When Fabián asks Tiburón if he cut the nets, Tiburón insists that he didn't and that Estrella is lying. Estrella refuses to waste any more breath about the issue and leaves. Tiburón threatens Estrella if she doesn't clear him with his boss. Perla sees the situation and calls for her to end the confrontation. Later, Tiburón threatens Perla and her sisters if she doesn't tell Fabián that Estrella lied. Perla decides to tell Fabián the truth: it was Tiburón who cut the nets. In spite of his begging to keep his job, Fabián fires him. Perla tells Fabián that her sister deserves an apology. (Why do I think that at this is not the last we will see of Tiburón?)

The Fisherwomen

(It is a beautiful scene with the boat at sea)Brisa is moaning about getting sea sick from the get go and, of course, is the only one to go overboard. They return later after a hard day of work. Brisa want to find another job online. Meche lets her know there is no getting out of going fishing.

Goofy Pascual congratulates Perla on her first day being a fisherwoman. He gives her a bottle of perfume like his mother used to use. He thinks it will be useful to cover up the fish smell. How many ways can you spell AWKWARD.
He is clearly not her type.
FIN

Another wonderful recap Jarifa! Thank you for adding so much to the enjoyment of this by explaining all of the action and dialogue so clearly.
Pascual giving Perla "... a bottle of perfume...He thinks it will be useful to cover up the fish smell. How many ways can you spell AWKWARD" made me smile. Well intentioned but completely bumbled delivery.
Fabian tearfully trying to explain to Yazmin what happened was hard to watch. Yazmin has been through much but her rejection of Fabian was stone cold. Also, I think children calling their parents by their first name is rude and especially hurtful when done in anger as it was here. I sense completely smitten Oliver will be a good influence on her.
Iker sharing his hoarde of chocolate was sweet. A genuinely nice kid.
Perla was so brave speaking out! At least Tiburon has been stopped for the moment.
The pilgrimage to the sea, Aramara and the beautiful rainbow were rather fun. As you noted, the scenery at sea is stunning. I wish they were out on the water every episode so we could savor the spectacular scenery and the deep, clear blue water.

Thanks Jarifa. I don't have much to add. I did wonder why bridal went overboard. Was she due to get on the other boat which seemed to just be anchored there with no crew. I'm trying to make sense of the senseless fishing scene once again.
Perla saw that standing up to Tiburon by her sister was an effective way of fighting him so she did the same. She needs to have a buddy system going on though as Tiburon will be after her.

Diana, thanks. I cannot get into kids calling their parents by their first names either and guess there are all sort of extremes out there. On Netflix, I watched a Mexican comedy called Snakes and Ladders this weekend where a mother got on her son’s case for not calling her usted.I know that was more common in days gone by.
I also liked Iker sharing “his hoards of chocolate.”

Kat, I think the time has come for Perla to tell all to Estrella so they can join forces against Tiburón who we are sure will be back for revenge.
It looks like Brisa was trying to board the other boat but who knows? Maybe she ended up in the water on purpose trying to convince her family she shouldn’t be out fishing for them.

Juegos #48
I watched this in a split session. I've been spending hours weeding (6+ hours each of past 3 days) so I went to bed early knowing I didn't have a recap in me last night. No one commented last week so I'll keep this short.
Joachin tries to give Roberto a plausible explanation for why he was meeting with his cousin. Bertha calls him, so he leaves to take the call .Quinones follows Joachin and listens to Joachin's side of the conversation in the stairwell.
He reports back to Roberto that he was talking to a woman, called her his love. Roberto will put Victoria onto it. She discovers that it is Bertha when she tails Joachin that night. Joachin seems to live Bertha, but more likely loves the money she has been sending his way. Victoria is sad when she takes the photos of the 2 kissing in Bertha's doorway.
Luci is doing some spying of her own, sorta. She has gone to Roberto's for the night ( no idea who has Gabi). Karina has shown up at his place. She and Roberto meet on the sidewalk. She is sad. She messed up. Enrique is not the man she thought he was. Roberto hugs her and asks her to go in. Luci, sitting in her car across the street from Roberto's, gets a call from Natalia. Nati asks do you still have a key? Yes. Then go inside. Meanwhile Karina is close to spilling the beans about Enrique. When Luci comes in she clams up.and leaves. Roberto tells Luci her timing sucked. She almost told me about the Saldana connection. Luci isn't happy with him for sort of stringing Karina along.
Memo checks on his mom who is still in a fit of depression and not leaving her bed. He tells her dad isn't worth this anguish. He then tells her he met Enrique's dad who told him that she and Enrique had a thing together once upon a time. She blows up at him. He's definitely getting a clue.
Enrique is looking at the old photos of the startup of his company. Memo brought them to him to id some of the people. Luci's dad is in a photo. Enrique comments I understand why you refused to leave capital creciente, you were loyal to the workers who invested with you. Two scenes panned to Enrique's tablet. Not sure why
Baby Mario is home. Dani is fawning over his nephew. He has another flashback. His mother notices he is upset. He explains to her. She wonders why he hasn't told her before. Because he didn't want to upset her. He has discussed it with his therapist, Luci, though
German and Francisco discuss something campaign wise. Francisco alludes to his being gay. German layer texts Pato, how are you doing? Pato smiles. Too bad German is involved in the cover up. He is a better choice than Paul was for Pato.
Enrique is home looking for the photos I think. He finds the, tosses them back on his desk, and tablet, then hunts for Ines. He finds her in their bed with Leo. He proceeds to be at Leo to a pulp. I guess turnabout is fair play doesn't work in his world.

I forgot to mention the bald guy and Francisco meet. He's the guy who is an IT specialist that cooked the books in the CC case to frame Salvador, Luci's dad. Francisco tells him when Enrique is president there is a top position for him in the government.

Thanks to the excellent recappers. I have been off and on watching this one. I have mostly wanted to just slap most of these idiots senseless.
Someone may have mentioned this before, I had a Yo amo Juan whatever from 2007. Yeah except this is the serious crazy version. All the women doing the Enrique horizonal bop. Egads & the the twisted sisters banging the same guys. Also Psycho Memo kissing his cuz/half brother Patrick? Lil White Lotus action. Actually the only being I feel sorry for is the poor dog that was tortured to death.

I thought that boat was the boat Mermaid girl fell from and they would solve the mystery! It did look deserted. I wonder why Brisa was heading for it. It can’t be one of their fishing boats, if they owned that they could sell it and pay the debt.
I’m so glad Fabian told Erika off. I really thought he’d be grateful to her! I feel sorry for Yazmin as her grandmother’s been lying to her for five years and turning her against her father. And her boyfriend is using her. I think Oliver will change her for the better. Now Fabian needs to realize Erika’s been lying to him and Estrella.
The hoard of chocolates made me laugh. I have a hidden hoard, two grandsons live with me and I have to hide my dark chocolate.

Now the good guys have a big clue that Bertha is behind Joachin’s actions. I think they know she’s connected to Francisco, but not as sure about that. Maybe we know and they don’t.

I feel sorry for Fabiola and Manalo, and of course the poor dog, gallita. Honestly, this show has more characters I like, than I hate, so it is a win for me. The mystery is I nice addition also..

I still haven’t decided about the mysterious lodger. I didn’t like him pointing that toy gun at Deniz. And why was the toy gun hidden like it was real. I’m worried something bad will happen concerning guns.
I’m hoping that Deniz’s dad will be in the show more. I felt sorry sorry for him looking at pictures of Deniz. I hope we see less and less of Karsu’s husband. She needs to get a lawyer. She shouldn’t have to go to a marriage counselor to get him to pay for the kids’ school.

Reha is such a jerk. I'm surprised he suggested counseling. Sounds like Karsu married him because she was mad at mom, probably over what happened to her sister. Going out on a limb here, I bet the stepdad abused sister and perhaps Feliz didn't believe her, or sister was so traumatized she cut them all out of her life. Reha needs to just get divorced. He obviously doesn't love Karsu. He probably doesn't want to pay support or alimony. I think Karsu signed a prenup though.
Maggie, I agree, the lodger is a good guy. I'm not sure why he's wearing glasses unless it is a prop for his absent minded professor look.
Was Feliz getting a Botox injection at her surgeon?

Going out on a limb here, I bet the stepdad abused sister and perhaps Feliz didn't believe her, or sister was so traumatized she cut them all out of her life. Reha needs to just get divorced. He obviously doesn't love Karsu. He probably doesn't want to pay support or alimony. I think Karsu signed a prenup though.
Maggie, I agree, the lodger is a good guy. I'm not sure why he's wearing glasses unless it is a prop for his absent minded professor look.

The marriage counseling visit was enlightening. At least we found out why Karsu married Reha, which I had found so difficult to understand as he’s such a complete jerk. And he’s so tone-deaf! He tells the counselor he married Karsu because she was pretty and would make a good housewife and mother. That’s hardly going to melt a woman’s hardened heart.
Well now we know Karsu married him to escape her home life, but what explains her beautiful best friend having an affair with the guy? And even being in love with him?

Question. Here on Uni the headings of which TN is being discussed appear to be in all caps. On Telemundo we purposely make them lower case. Anyone know if it makes any difference. I thought that was the way future viewers could look up recaps.
I am watching Karsu and, so far, enjoying it the most of the 3 (yikes!) I'm actually watching. I have enjoyed every dizi I've ever watched, finding them less predictable and overacted than TNs at times, La Reina del Sur completely NOT in that category.
I am in the camp of the lodger being a good guy. Whether Karsu has a romance with him or with Deniz's "father", I'd be happy either way. The lodger has almost as many books in his place as I do!!!
I will say that I'm looking forward to Karsu NOT looking miserable all the time. She perked up and even willingly embraced Reha when the DNA test proved Deniz was theirs. She needs to kick Reha to the curb sooner rather than later. I can't remember seeing an actor I wanted to punch in the face more. He's doing a good job being obnoxious to a fault.

A.MAR Capítulo 7 Notes from the Couch . . .
Estrella and Fabián
Estrella finds out that she needs to talk to Fabián about becoming a member of the union if the harbor master will allow her to bring in her catch the next day.
It is night fall and she goes out on the beach to do some thinking. Soon, Tiburón appears ad starts to attack her. She fights back the best she can but, luckily for her, Fabián appears and takes over the fight. As Tiburón retreats, Fabián tells him that he will be filing charges against him. He takes Estrella in his arms and consoles her. Erika sees them in each others' arms from her business as the lightening strikes and the thunder booms. Fabián tells Estrella that fishermen take care of each other. She is so tired of everything being harder because she is a woman. Fabián says he needed a hug, too because he had a bad argument with his daughter. Later, Fabián tells his father about defending Estrella. He is impressed. She was so strong but at the same time so fragile. Estrella tells Meche about how wonderful Fabián was. He was even tender with her. Maybe he is not such a bad person after all.
Perla's Very Bad Day and Night
Earlier in the day, Perla runs into Tiburón on the street. He threatens her. She warns him if he tries to hurt her again she will see that charges are brought against him and the he ends up in jail.
Valentín invites Perla over to learn how to fish from the best. She thinks that is him but is soon disappointed to find out that he has set her up with Pascual. Valentín has told Pascual that he is interested in the mystery woman.
After hearing what Tiburón tried to do to Estrella, (foolish) Perla goes to tell him off. He doesnt miss a beat and starts to attack her. In the midst of a raging thunderstorm, Estrella hears somebody screaming for help outside. She, Meche and Brisa go out and see Tiburón attacking Perla. Tiburón goads Perla into telling her family that he raped her. That is when Estrella launches a rock at his head and he flees. The women go to comfort Perla.
Could Gabriel Be Too Good for His Own Good?
Valentín tells Gabriel that he is interested in the mystery woman. Gabriel tries to dissuade him from pursuing her due to the condition she finds herself in. Valentín wonders if Gabriel is jealous. Gabriel insists he isn't. Valentín says he doesn't like people who are like "El perro del hortelero"( the gardener's dog) who won't eat but won't let others eat either. He leaves Gabriel with a lot to think about.
Brisa is set on escaping having to fish and starts to pressure Gabriel to marry her as a means to do that. He arranges an outing for him, her and Iker the next day and makes it clear that if they do get married, she and Iker have to get along because Iker is the most important thing in his life.
Gabriel tells the mystery woman, who has taken the name Marina, that he is thinking about marrying Brisa. He explains that she is going through a bad time with the death of her father and now having to go fish. Marina thinks he cannot avoid helping people. Gabriel says it isn't only that. He and Brisa have been going out for two years now and this is logically the next step but then there is Iker to be concerned about. Marina is sure Iker will come around in time.
Fabián Just Can't Win!
Yazmín is emerging from her sleepy drugged state when her father brings her some food and comments that she has slept all day. He shows her a framed photo of him and her when she was younger. She takes it and slams it on the floor breaking the frame. Her hatred of him has not abated.
He tells his father that he will keep reframing that photo no matter how many times his daughter breaks it. It is proof of the love they once had for each other.
Fabián's bummer of an evening is not over because Erika shows up having been called by Yazmín. Yazmín says that Erika is her only friend. (Foolish) Fabián gives in and allows the visit. Erika tells him that he needs to realize that she is the only one that can help him with his daughter. She is smirking once more.

Another excellent episode. I loved the thunderstorm breaking out as Erika saw Estrella and Fabián in each others’ arms on the beach. It was good that Perla’s rape by Tiburön finally saw the light of day. Whenever he retreats, he looks like a spider scurrying along. Glad that the mystery woman finally chose a name: Marina. What a nice sea-related name for the magical mermaid! I have a feeling that Iker will not have a good outing with his father and Brisa.

Victoria is back on the team. Roberto tells it to her and Joachin in his office. They are partners and will work all cases together. Joachin protests but is overruled.
German has been summoned to the office. He rushes over. What's the emergency.. I want you to have Leo killed. 😂
Natalia and Luci are in a dusty store room looking for the box from March 2003. They find it. In the file is an authorization for millions of dollars with her dad's signature. ( Would an 8 or 10 year old really recognize this 22 years later?)
German refuses. Enrique says it's an order. If you won't do it your fired. Not sure if German quits, or continues his refusal.

The mood was electric tonight, exacerbated by the stormy weather that was the perfect backdrop. "Erika sees them in each others' arms from her business as the lightening strikes and the thunder booms" was amazing and set the scene beautifully.
Loved "El perro del hortelero" which could not have been more fitting. It was clear that there was a tinge of jealousy in Valentin and Gabriel's interaction although Gabriel is doing and saying the right things about his intentions toward Brisa. Brisa's rationale for their marrying seems to be predicated on her wanting to get out of work! Where is the "I can't live without you"??
The moondoggie looks Marina continuously flashes at Gabriel are a dead giveaway although she too is trying not to do anything to tempt Gabriel away from his relationship with Brisa.
Poor Perla! I did think Valentin was interested in her but I guess Marina's allure was too much for him. (Is Marina ever going to get a change of clothes??)
I hope Tiburon will be thrown in jail never to see the light of day but I fear that is wishful (foolish :)) thinking!

Natalia apologizes to Luci for calling the person that signed the receipt a thief. Luci is more convinced than ever that her dad is innocent. This information was right here but not found! I think they realize it's been planted there and think Ofelia is in cahoots with whomever pulling the strings.
Roberto and Quirino talk. If Joachin makes a wrong move Victoria will catch it. They decide to look into all of Berta's old cases. If sufficient evidence is presented, Quirino will reopen the CC case.mario is crying inconsolably. Susy is walking him. Omar knocks, what's wrong. I don't know, they are off to the hospital.
German has found a way out. He tells Francisco that Enrique wants Leo killed for sleeping with Ines. Francisco will take care of it.
Enrique is chewing Memo out for telling his unstable mother about meeting Fermin (Enrique's dad). They then have a bonding moment as Enrique butters him up. They hug. Memo does not grab a strand of hair, much to my disappointment.
Francisco arrives and kicks Memo out. Frank tells Enrique that German spoke with him. He'll take care of Leo, but death is not the answer. It won't look good on his campaign. Enrique says I'll kill him with my own hands then

Francisco is telling Ines about Enrique wanting her lover killed. You need to break it off with him. Ines isn't giving in. Francisco says I've never raised a hand to you, but there's a first time for everything. Francisco dates her to break things off with Enrique and see how fast her lover runs. Ines is standing by her man, not the husband. Francisco warns her, Enrique won't kill him, but I may.
Luci is in the hostels kitchen looking over the doctored receipts. Doorbell rings. She goes to answer. Chofis walks in the kitchen and sees the paper, reads it and is shocked it's Roberto at the door. She wants him to look over the papers. They go into the kitchen. Chofis holds the paper and says my son is guilty and falls to the floor in a faint.

Why did he have to dress up so fine just to make some mafia moves? The actor did a great job on his metamorphosis – he was unrecognizable as a mafioso and then switched right back to the awkward writer.
Can anyone explain to me Karsu’s backstory with her mom? I didn’t quite get it. Her mother remarried – was the second husband awful? What was all the trauma? Why did Karsu need defending? From what?

Wow! What a surprise! The actor did a great job making the transition back and forth. I still think he is not all bad. He seems sad, perhaps a tragic figure! He reminds me of the guy in La Familia who had a very hard time getting away from the mob. Atilla seems to yearn for the simpler life. His close bodyguards also remind me of the ones in La Familia, loyal to their boss. There was mention of Atilla’s father, that he needed to do this for his father. Where is the father? Is Atilla hiding out for a reason?
He and Karsu had a nice meal. He seems to be a peacemaker. How does this fit with his day (night?) job? He seems to be encouraging her to move on and let go of her anger and resentment. I don’t know what Filiz did. Did we hear that a stepfather was part of it? Doesn’t Karsu have a sister? I can’t keep up with all the plots of my three!!! novelas!
Anyway, this tale has gotten darker! I still hope Deniz’ view of Atilla as a superhero holds. Maybe he can protect Karsu from her awful husband!

I don't think I commented yet. Like babachita I'm getting confused between all the shows. I'm trying to juggle 4, (6 if you count the two daytime shows I watch as I find time. Thankfully 2 are ending in the next few weeks I think).
Jarifa, I like your notes from the couch style. It suits this novela perfectly. Just as I was wondering where Erika is she shows up. I thought she was spying on them. I didn't realize she saw them from her eatery. I was thinking Estrella was foolish walking the beach alone, giving scum like Tiburon the opportunity to attack. But apparently she was in sight of people. Tiburon was just asking to get caught.
This show is like midsummer's night's dream. I've forgotten the plot to it, but aren't a lot of the characters in love with someone who is in love with someone else. A comedy of sorts with a murderer and rapist thrown in ... At least the scenery is nice.
My favorite characters so far are Gabriel, Marina (she got her name last episode by Iker) and Iker. Marina did wear Gabriela shorts and T-shirt the first day. I imagine the dress she was found in is float around somewhere. I did notice in one scene the current dress was worn on the shoulders, so she is mixing up her look. Since she had to borrow money from Gabriel I imagine she is being frugal. Good for her. Also good for her wanting to find a job to contribute to the household, unlike Brisa who wants to get married so she doesn't have to work. Or so she imagines.

Maggie, so far Mom's back story hasn't been explained. Karsu's father died when the girls were young. Feliz concentrated on raising them and marrying them off well. Thanks Kat, another great recap. All these offices with files totally confuses me so thanks for clarifying what they’re finding. The good guys seem to be moving ahead slowly but surely. All they need is proof now.
I’m disappointed in Enrique. I thought he was an unwilling participant in the deaths. Now he’s ordering one of his own, after beating the guy for doing the same thing he’s been doing for two years. Luckily Francisco had told German he answers to him, not Enrique.

It was really funny as he was an uneducated rancho guy with very tight jeans and boots and a long greasy mullet. Every woman who saw him dropped her panties. It was very funny & he had scenes in tiny speedos. It had a huge cast.

I'll have to look Juan Querendon up. I saw Santamaria in Nadie Como Tu last year and even though he was the bad guy I thought he was a great actor. He's doing a good job in Juegos also. For an older guy he is good looking, imo. Would be fun to see him from 18 years ago. A greasy mullet doesn't sound appealing though. As he is married to the actress playing Ines in real life I wonder how that affects there home life. Do you get to fight with each other at work and get any festering resentments you might have off your chest or is it all just an act?

A.MAR Capítulo 8 Notes from the Couch . . . Part 1
Tiburón . . .
didn't know that fate had issued him a round-trip ticket when he took a launch out on the sea during the storm in order to escape from the law. Early the next morning, he had returned from his trip to Davy Jones' locker and was back on the beach from where he left but now was enclosed in a body bag.
Perla's Story/Sexual Assault PSA
After the attack, Perla is hesitant to file a complaint but Estrella says she will be there to support her as she always is. Perla talks about how Tiburón terrorized her and threatened to kill her her parents if she went to the authorities about the rape. She felt so dirty.
Officer Matilde and Dr. Alejandra arrive. Officer Matilde says she will be there for Perla anytime she wants to file a complaint against El Tiburón (Jacinto López). They have a warrant out for his arrest for attempted murder. Dr. Matilde tells her she is safe and that no woman ever gives cause to be sexually assaulted by what she says, does or wears. She will also be there for Perla when she wants to talk.
The next morning when they find out that Tiburón is dead, Perla can breathe a sigh of relief. Her nightmare is over. She decides to go see Dr. Alejandra for counseling.
Perla tells her family that the sexual assault happened about six months ago when one day early in the morning, her father had left on his fishing boat and she had finished cleaning their shop. Tiburón showed up saying that her father had sent him for her because he had found something in the sea he wanted her to see. So, she got in the boat with Tiburón and he took her some where she didn't want to go.
Erika the Busy Bee
Erika pays Yazmín a visit. She wants to know what she told her father that he would be so angry with her. She tells Yazmín that she isnot upholding her part of their bargain. She needs to pretend to have a good relationship with her father and give her credit.She doesn't care if she hates him. She reminds her of the proof she has of her drug addiction. When Yazmín pleasantly agrees to go school shopping with her father and sings Erika's praises, he can't help but think that maybe Erika is having a positive influence on her.
Erika confronts Estrella about seeing her in her MAN'S arms on the beach . Estrella explains about what had happened with Tiburón and that Fabián was only trying to calm her down. Nothing happened. Erika apologizes. She loves Fabián so much and would die if she were to lose him.
Erika hires Marina to work at her business.
Fabián and Estrella
Fabián makes all of the Contreras fisherwomen members of the union. When Estrella thanks him, he invites her out for a beer to celebrate. She turns him down mentioning that Erika is in love with him and is her best friend. He thinks that is absurd. They wonder what if he and she . . . and almost kiss . . . then the phone rings. It is Meche.
Estrella brings Fabián home with where they find Meche bent over in pain from her back. They take her to the doctor who diagnoses her with low back pain. He prescribes pain killers and muscle relaxants plus physical therapy. He says the therapy is expensive but is necessary if she is to avoid surgery in the future. Seeing that Estrella and Meche are shocked by the possible expense, Fabián tells Estrella he is going to help pay for Meche's treatment.

I was surprised that Tiburón "...returned from his trip to Davy Jones' locker and was back on the beach from where he left but now was enclosed in a body bag". A fitting end although I'd assumed he would be back to cause more mayhem.
Officer Matilde and Dr. Alejandra were kind and compassionate to Perla who suffered so much torment. Silly Valentin crushing on Marina - clueless!
I really enjoyed your titles, especially "Brisa Tries to Live Her Dream". She exaggerated quite a bit, didn't she? Meche seemed skeptical, so am I! The fact she knows nothing about Iker has come back to bite her. As Azul smartly noted "she can't compete with a mermaid".
Clever Oliver; a good match for Yazmin although she's done nothing to deserve him. Yet.
Fresh fish! That Fabian knows just what a girl wants. :)

You and I agree: there is no way Meche believed that Gabriel had proposed to Brisa. “Fresh fish! That Fabián knows just what a girl wants.” You can say that again.

Karsu
Lale, Reha’s sister, visits. She is charming, brings nice gifts, and tries to make peace betwee Karsu and Reha. But, Reha sees Deniz walking with Atila and loses it. Atila asks Hakki, his main guy, to encourage Reha to back off. Hakki says he’ll attack him, but Atila wants it to be more subtle. We can’t be beating up our neighbors here! Don’t do it yourself. Get Cevdet to do it. What could go wrong?
Lale tells her brother he can get the kids if Karsu can’t provide for them.
Two of Hakki’s goons beat up Reha on the street while Hakki watches. He reports to Atila that they broke his mouth and nose.
Atila got a bunch of books for Karsu and has Hakki arrange them so she will notice.
Atila is now working out with weights. Seems to be new interest in this, perhaps because of Karsu.
Kids go to new school. It’s a public school, but a large up-front donation is required. They give her a couple of days due to her aunt. She also needs to get uniforms.
Filiz visits Atila and tells about Karzu’s personal and financial problems. She says Karsu could take Reha to the cleaners. Atila says she doesn't seem like that kind of person. Filiz says she doesn't say much but seems to like Atila. She gives him some cream for his wound, and he seems touched by the gesture and pleased to hear Karsu likes him.
Everything seems to be falling in place here. Why do I feel unsettled?

Well my iPad said an error occurred when I tried to comment so this will be a brief second try! Thanks Jarifa for a great recap. I really don’t believe Tiburon is dead, when has a bad guy been gone so quickly.
Erica has fooled Fabian again, and he thinks she’s helping Yazmin. And if Estella had worded her comment to him differently he would have realized Erika is passing him off as her novio.
I liked the way the family was so comforting to Perla. But then she had to find out Valentin likes Marina. And I’m not sure about the story Brisa was telling Íker but she should get points for telling him a story!

Liz, thanks! Yikes! You posed a great question: Could Tiburón still be out there? Interesting unless there was a bona fide identification of Tiburón’s corpse and it wasn’t some other soul maybe decomposed/decomposing that washed up.I am hoping that Tiburón still looked enough like himself so a positive identification could be made. But then, could have Tiburón killed another on the high seas and planted an impostor? As for Perla, we could give her a few points, I guess, but the tale was really lame again pointing out what she didn’t know about Iker and his interests.

It’s amazing how he takes zero responsibility. How on earth did Karsu stay married to him all these years?

Very funny gem joint, Maggie! I also was happy when Reha was attacked. The chameleon fascinates, but he has a sadness about him. I want his backstory.
Maybe the public school only hits up better-dressed enrollees, but it felt like a shakedown!

Sorry this is late, just started watching at 7 tonight.
Omar is packing up Susy's things, Elena enters and asks what's up? Omar says she's moving in with me.
Mateo gets bad news, he's been accused of sexual harassment by various students. He was talking to Clara on his phone and drawing a picture of a female body scantily dressed. Does he moonlight as a designer? I don't understand that at all. Mateo insists the accusations are false. The president? Says she is just informing him of the accusations, not charging him. But it will be investigated.
Elena's green eyed monster monster of jealousy surfaces. I'm happy for you both, no need to justify her move by her needing a warmer place for the baby. Omar is clueless that she is thinking he is moving on with his life with Susy. My love, why are you so sad, he kisses her. She gets furious and storms out.
Chofis is ok. Roberto and Luci reassure her the documents are false. Joachin is involved. Roberto gets a call from Gaby. Mom is locked in the bathroom for a long time. Come quick.
Omar brings Susy's stuff to his place. He tells her about Elena's strange behavior when he went in for a kiss. He's convinced she knows he is an assassin.
Karina is fine. She's manipulating Gaby to get Roberto back in her life.
Chofis and Luci act their part when Joachin comes into the hostel. Look, dad is guilty. I can't believe he defrauded those innocent people.
Roberto tries calling Luci, goes to voicemail. He receives a text, don't come to the house.
Clara is back at Mateo's place. He's got pink ropes to tie her up.with. she's not into his games.
Dani goes to the cafe. He tells Alexis she's the love of his life.
Joachin is at Bertha's house/hotel room. Tells her that Luci bought the lies. It's over. So is his time with Berta, she has a new lover waiting in the bathroom. She tells Joachin to scram and keep his mouth shut.
Victoria is complaining to Quinones ( I'm going to start calling him Q, I keep referring back to previous posts to see what his name is) about Joachin. Berta is at the hotel. Q wants to trap Berta in some way.
Mariana, looking rather drugged, is knocking on Leo's apartment door. A neighbor tells her he's gone. He left with an suitcase. She recalls them talking about a cabin that is his refuge.
Well Alex and dani did it on her bedroom. Mom knocks on the door. Alex says she's doing homework.
Mateo has tied and gagged Clara to the bed. He says I'll be back tomorrow. She yells and admits she is the one that denounced him. He's leaving her there anyhow, he likes having her at his mercy.

Pato is at German's pad. Some flirting is going on.
Ines is with Leo at his cabin. Leo seems to really love Ines. He admits that he is working for the other candidate, Navaez, and he didn't reenter her life by accident.
Luci visits Roberto. I thought you didn't want to see me again. She admits she has no faith in Karina. He wants to convince her to trust him.
Leo admits he got close to Mariana initially to dig up dirt. He has quit with Navaez. He loves her. She's mad. You slept with her too, right? She is furious and leaves.
Luci fills Roberto in on how they hoodwinked Joachin. Rob is glad, now he'll feed that info to Berta, his lover.
Ines,crying in her car on the side of the road, calls herself an idiot, just like dad and Enrique said. She sees a car drive by, Mariana is passed out against the window in the back seat.
Karina hears Gaby so she puts on her crying act. You're a big girl now. It's about Luci and your dad. They love you so much. Gaby asks why are you crying. Because I'm afraid you'll leave me and I'll be alone. It is best if I leave and go far away. No.dont go. Then help me. Get dad to come back to us.
Mariana accuses Leo of sleeping with Ines. He says it's because I love her, not you, you drunken, drugged sit. Mariana is about to spill the beans about what the Ferrer s have done
Back to German and Pato sitting close together on a couch watching a movie.
Leo is feeding Mariana a drink and has his phone recording their convo. Saint Ines has the perfect family. But Memo and I aren't like them. Adrian was the one who hit the Saldana boys.
Well Pato and German spent the night together. I do appreciate them not showing the actual scenes, just the aftermath. Pato says they are bothe free to do as they wish. German says I'm not a good person. Pato says I don't abandon those I love.
Gaby is doing her job of trying to get mom and dad to do things together with her. Roberto isn't falling for it. Q calls him. I'll be right there after I drop Gaby off at school.
Memo checks on mom, who is on her couch and not in bed for a change. He tells her he hates seeing her this way. Stop with the pills. Iove you. I'll get us breakfast. We see what else happened last night with Leo. She tells him about Grenas too. She picks up her purse to leave and sees his phone and grabs it. They fight over it. We hear him fall back and a thud.
Police are at Leo's place. He is dead. The maid found him. Ines will likely be incriminated as her tire treads are there and fingerprints. Victoria and Roberto are on scene.
