PAPAS #73 Part 1

Previously: We learn Pipe is now either in foster care or in an orphanage, pending the judge’s decision. Igor told Guzmán that Pipe would be better off there than in his care! Rosalina wisely tells the official that Guzmán didn’t report the kidnapping for several days and that the timing was suspect. She tells Rudolf the USB wasn’t related to the case BUT was proof of business fraud (this does not sink in, sadly). She says they need evidence Guzmán is an unfit father (e.g. alcoholism, drugs).

Dámaso wines and dines Aidé and the children as Tino records a video for his unborn child. After, when the kids see him, they are polite but make themselves scarce as Tino’s smile fades. Later, Aidé kisses Dámaso with visible passion not knowing (as we do) that his treacherous talks with Fer continue.

The public backlash against Facundo continues… Facundo blames Circe and her friends for their posts, ruining his reputation, further stating Uli’s claims are completely false. Uli blanches as he realizes everyone now knows he was abused.

Chano asks Fed if she is pregnant and asks if it is Tino’s. She may have indicated it might be Chano’s…He is literally gagging at the mere idea of a vasectomy. At the clinic, he doesn’t go through with it, stealing someone else’s completed report! A cheater in so many ways…

Guzmán preys on Chofis’ confused state and (unbelievably) has her meet him at the same hotel where Chofis was with Oliver. As they sit on the bed. he tells her how terrible Oliver is. She thanks her tio for his support. He gets up and then takes her arm and stands her up; he begins to run his fetid hand over her face. Chofis finally realizes what he is doing and starts to panic, pushing him away. We recoil watching this sordid seduction which is the exact proof needed to ensure Guzmán never gets custody of Pipe.

As we open, Chofis has already backed away from Guzmán, angrily upbraiding him yet he still has the unmitigated gaul to say “te quiero”; she clearly understands exactly what his plan was.

Igor hands Tino the phone and he calls Circe. Uli takes the phone and asks him to meet them at Facundo’s.

Aidé kisses Dámaso after which he utters a besotted ”wow”. “Yes!” he proclaims. Then a woman comes up and he introduces her as his sister. She is uncomfortable and seems unfriendly, she seems to realize she has come in a bad moment and leaves.

Chofis is in full panic mode and runs to the other side of the room screaming. Then the “real” Guzmán emerges Face contorted, he starts insulting her, calling her an idiot. He teases her cruelly mentioning her parents, Checo and Oliver, then he grabs her arms and as she backs off takes her one arm and wrenches it. She grabs something and hits him in the head as blood streams down his head. She runs as if her life depends on it.

Chano, Lichita and the Maxiclick staff stop and listen to a live stream of Facundo rantings about Ulisses.

PAPAS #73 Part 2

Circe and Uli show up at Facundo’s as Tino arrives to help. Facundo challenges Uli as to his accusations he was his attacker. Facundo doesn’t flinch and as everyone turns to look at him, Facundo actually takes the mask out of the closet and puts it on! Uli hearkens back to the nightmare but all we see are hands. As that remembrance doesn’t jog anything, he thinks again and this time, sees his attacker’s eyes…Uli thinks long and hard and after some time, says it wasn’t Facundo.

Pipe is sitting under a tree when Rudolf surprises him with his puppet. “Hermoso” Rosalinda pops up, cooing at Rudolf. She puts her hands on Pipe who steps on her foot accidentally on purpose. Smart kid. 😊

Igor visits Clar Luz in jail, saying “forever and ever”. They talk about Guzmán and Pipe.

Facundo says that his being blamed was a very serious accusation. Tino apologizes but Facundo seems to want to press charges. Circe says to blame her not Uli. Ui hyperventilates apologizing and runs out. They leave with Facundo still yelling.

Lichita comes into Guzmán’s office and sees him with an ice pack on his head. He says he is all right. She looks at his wound as we see Chofis walking the streets pausing by a mural. She hearkens back to talking to Lichita about Guzmán and remembering him trying to convince her he is her tio, and completely trustworthy. She cries, head in her hands and then walks away as we see Lichita ministering to his wound that her daughter inflicted on her as he tried to attack her.

Tino talks to Uli and Cice, saying how important it is not to accuse an innocent party. Both are very upset as Aidé arrives.

Augusto and Bertha talk about Tino and Aide he says it’s affecting their relationship. But they ended up smiling so things seemed to have straightened out.

Guzmán is yelling at Fed on the phone making faces, making fun of her. She is with Dámaso am. They discuss Maximax and Tino but I can’t follow much except that he does mention Emi and coma. She makes a pained face.

Clara Luz talks to Rudolf mentioning Rosalinda. How is Pipe she asks. He is good Rudolf affirms and smiles as they hold hands through the bars.

Guzmán holds a meeting and Lichita distributes artwork. Guzmán and Facundo get into an argument and he says Facundo is an imbecile. I think Facundo said Uli confirmed he isn’t the attacker.

Emotional Uli and Citrce hug as Tino comes in. In a later scene they discuss Aidé and their biological father.

Lichita has hand drawn bear and chicken. Igor gets a text, something important about Clara Luz.

Las hijas #77 part 1

Leo cries in agony at the farce his life has been with Paula as Mateo tells him I'm sorry and leaves.

Ofelia is reading a book on the sofa at the mansion when Paula comes in and grabs it from her and tosses it on the floor. I bet it is a steamy romance. Paula complains about Mateo. O says it was her lucky day when he appeared. Paula says Leo loves me and will forgive my past. O says but what about the present. I spoke with Lupita. That strikes a nerve. How much dinero do you want?

Arturo breaks off his kiss with Priss. She takes it well. Old habits die hard and all that. I have changed though. Perhaps you will fall for the new me. He gets a text from Rocio and has to leave.

Leo is driving home rehearing the conversation he heard and crying in anguish.

O plays along with Paula theorizing what amount of money will buy her silence for all the pain and suffering she has caused her daughters.

Mich and Nick talking. He's distraught also. She thinks maybe it is best for them to return to Boston and put some distance between him and Val.

Paula returns to talk to O. She will recant her story about Saul and hands her a check in O's name. O tells her she is incorruptible, but her eyes widen at the amount. But then she says all right. ( I would too and use it as leverage).

Luis, Cami and Mar find On8n the salon, still reading her book perhaps? Luis has a bone to pick with her. Why did you tell Cami about Mar's baby's paternity. You did it to hurt her. O fires back you all hurt Mar. Mar is furious at O also and kicks her out of the house.

Susana talks to Juan. It's like his life is a nightmare. He hurts for the lost baby. Susana tells him this will pass. You will find a good woman and form a family. He says that will never be. I lost that opportunity when I lost Mar, the love of my life.

Mar apologizes to Mar for telling the truth to Cami. She wanted to hurt her for treating Mar so badly. She says come with me and we'll find a nice place to live ( with Paula's pay off,) but Mar wants nothing to do with Mom. She will have nothing to do with her grandchild either.


 

PAPAS #73 Part 3 of 3

Lichita and Igor meet, she finds out Clara Luz is in jail. She feels for her friend and for Pipe. Lupita gets a text; I think Chofis has skipped school and Lichita is very upset.

Aidé and the children are at home when Dámaso comes in; they ask him to join them but he says no. He tells Aidé something about Facundo and wants her to go with him. Uli says go ahead and she agrees especially after Circe says they have it under control. Everyone blows kisses except for Brenda who flashes a none too happy look. Circe and Uli talk about their bio dad.

Tino introduces himself to Dámaso’s sister. He seems surprised to learn she is his sister. She explains the relationship.

Aidé is in Dam’s lair; he hands her a drink. He kisses her bit she looks a tad reluctant. They sit and he starts to talk about the father of her children. I can’t follow the conversation; he says something about a pelicula and strokes her hair. He moves forward and says te amo but she stares. They do kiss.

Lichita confronts Chofis…

Facundo shows up at Tino’s with a lawyer, wanting Scarlet who needs to leave with him at this moment. Everyone starts talking at once…

Dámaso’s siter and Tino talk. He asks if she is OK, something is said about a fiesta.

We next see Dámaso and Aidé on the bed. Aidé is face down as Dámaso kisses her. All of a sudden her eyes fly wide open! She harkens back to the fateful night. She remembers seeing Tino and calling out his name. But then she wakes up a second time and sees another image. But this time, it is not Tino. It is Dámaso! She sits up and he asks what is wrong. She stares…

Two very important revelations tonight. Aide finally remembering what happened that fateful night, confirming our suspicions about Dámaso. Now that Uli realizes his attacker was not Facundo, his true attacker should be revealed shortly. Chofis must tell Lichita what happened.

Las hijas #77 part 2

Val is reliving her kiss with Nick. (I really like their theme song). She sends Nick a text. I can't stop thinking about what happened between us. I also feel something strong for you. But then she says no and doesn't send it.

Paula is dressed for seduction in a black neglige. She can't believe she gave O her life savings. Leo arrives home as she spritzes herself with perfume.. how did the day go with your brothers. He says it was a complicated day. Shell take his mind off things, but he stops her. I got a strange call from Mateo. He didn't want to talk business but about you. What is he referring to?

Mar goes into her room complaining to Luis about mom. He actually takes O's side saying she is trying to protect you. He warns her sadness breeds more sadness. Mar feels its her own fault for what O did telling about the baby. She had given Luis her word to keep the secret and now look what mom did. I think it's time we tell everyone the truth. Luis nods in agreement.

Leo tells Paula he is intrigued to hear what Mateo has to say. Paula tells him that kind of guy is dangerous, don't go see him. Promise? He says fine. She then tries to seduce him but he pleads tiredness.

Well I cashed the check and she is drooling over the ears of cash at her Casita. Seems a bit risky running around with that much money in the barrio, but then again crime hasn't been rampant, the neighbors even left all their possessions alone when they lost the Casita way back when and the possessions took up residence in the courtyard outside the house. She talks to the money. You came too late. I'm all alone. I can't share it with my girls ( I think the charred curtains are finally gone and the sunlight is coming in the window so they finally did something about that. It really bugged me). Se cries I have money but not my daughters and throws it in the air.

Mar is sitting on some steps waiting for Juan. He comes out and is slightly rude to her. She smiles sweetly, we need to talk . What do you want to tell me. If course Susana arrives and interferes. Susana insults her as usual. Mar says I'm here to talk to Juan. Juan tells her it's best she leaves
 

Las hijas #77 part 3

There's a family meeting in Luis' home office.

He says I need to talk to you. I needed your mother everyday. I decided you all needed to learn to run your own lives but everything went wrong. I'm sorry for hurting you. It's time I told you why I married Mar. I found Mar on a bridge ready to jump. Nick is shocked. Arturo is furious that dad married her but didn't explain why. Leo is actually understanding. Cami seems repentant ( as she should since it was her actions to Juan that led to the marriage). Arturo storms off as usual. Cami and Nick leave, Nick giving dad a disappointed look.

Paula is at the police station. She calls Mateo, I revoked my declaration and fulfilled my part of our deal. He says very good. They arrange to meet.

Leo talks to dad. He feels so lost. I'm an idiot. Luis tells him hard knocks make you stronger . They hug.

Mateo gives Paula all the photos and conversations he has. She asks are they the only copies? He swears they are. But if Saul isn't released you will be sorry. She says he'll be free soon. Hope I never see either of you ever again.

Val and Nick meet ( finally in a nice gray suit instead of the ugly brown ) Nick says dad told us about his marriage. Oh you already knew he realizes. He pulls a restrained Arturo hissy fit. Val says it was up to them to tell the truth but I kept trying to get Mar to come clean. Nick says the worst part was he did it to teach us a lesson. Val caresses his face, I'm sorry. Nick caresses hers in return, when who should show up like a bad penny, but Rocio.

Leo and Luis are walking in the garden. Leo tells dad I've got to go away for a bit and deal with some things. I think he asks dad to take care of Paula.

Nick doesn't blame Mar. Dad is his own man. But this changes everything between us and he kisses her with Rocio frantically taking a photo of them in her cell. Val runs off again.

Rocio mutters they are a pair of traitors. They won't make a fool of my son.

Cami and Arturo are out to lunch. Cami says if all the women in the world why was it Mar dad chose to teach us a lesson. Art gets a call from Rocio. He tries to put her off but she says it's important. It's about Valeria. I'll wait for you at my house. Cami asks, who is Rocio ( guess she saw the name when the phone rang,.). Nobody. Cami says it obviously is someone. Who?


 

Las hijas #77 part 4

Mar asks Luis how did it go with your kids. Mal. She's sorry. Though Luis wasn't too mad, but something is bothering him. I've never seen him like this he says he needs to be away for a few days. That is strange, Mar agrees. And you? How did yours go? I intended to tell Juan he is the father but he wouldn't listen to me. Luis is sorry. Now what do I do she wonders. Come up with a new plan he suggests. He can still have my name. Mar has decided she needs a safe place for her and baby and she needs to go to school to learn something.. she like psychology. He's happy to help her.

Arturo wonders what is so important. She says I was looking for you at Val's place. Look what I saw. You need to see it with your own eyes. He can't believe it. Rocio says it's just like the Portillos. They don't have the good heart that you have. Arturo is hyperventilating, don't touch me, I've got to go

Amparo visits O who is painting the Casita a nice green shade. Amparo is happy to see her. O says she is back but not with her girls. Amparo wisely tells her that's a part of life. O says but I've done everything for them. Amparo gives her a chiding look. You know I just wanted to give them a better life. Amparo says you were always more concerned about what you wanted for them, not what they wanted for themselves. I just wanted them to know more of the world than this place and to have dreams. Now Val only thinks I did things out of ambition. And Mar is mad because I put Cami in her place. Amparo says the day you tell them the truth they will understand you. No, perish the thought. Id rather they hated me than hurt them so much.

Paula is reading in her room when Leo enters. Where have you been, I was getting worried. Leo says I had a complicated day with work and my brothers ( none of whom seemed to have set a foot in the office today). Paula asks how did the meeting with Dad go. Actually pretty well . We got a long better than we have in a long time. He talked about his errors. He says things that allude to what Paula should do but she doesn't get it. He's packing a bag. Going to the city on the sportswear business. It's a quick trip. Are you ok, you look strange. Me strange, he laughs ...I'm changing love. It's the first time I've seen your true self. He kisses her and packs his bags.

Nick knocks on Val's door. I need my friend to talk to, especially in this really difficult time he says from the outside of her door. She comes out and they hug so of course Arturo arrives in a blazer if fury . How long has this been going on? He yells.

Nobody really changes in this novela. Luis’ kids sure were all their usual obnoxious selves when he was explaining about Mar and how he wanted to change them for the better. The only one who “seemed” really changed was Leo but it was the info about his wifey and not Luis that was the cause.

Best scene: Mar telling Ofelia to get out because of her blabbermouth.

Of course, Ofelia’s horrific past was mentioned by Amparo but she still isn’t telling her kids. YAWN!

Juan needs to grow up.
 

Fede and Dameso are talking about the potions he gave her. Coma is a possible side affect..ie I know what you did to Emi .
And the concoction that Tino was given was a libido killer, but Fede insists she and Tino had a rip roaring night of it.

Lichita has a plan for the kiddos crowd this the cartoon drawings. The business is tanking and they need fresh ideas.

Tino is fishing for info on the bio dad. He asked the twins if they had any birthmarks. He or Uli mention something about twins being a potential tie. Damaso has a twin sister. When the parents split up she went with Mom, Dameso with Dad. Then mom died and she went to live with Dad and Dameso. Seems like she didn't warrant the prep school tuition so Dameso having a sister is a shock. Damaris tells Tino Dameso never returned Home the night of the fiesta.

Kat, yours was an excellent recap of a rather sad episode.

"He pulls a restrained Arturo hissy fit" was one of my favorite lines.

Leo was truly crushed. I believe he was basically a good man utterly corrupted by Paula. Not that he is blameless. I see only two reasons for him to be taking a trip. Possible revenge toward Paula and/or he is never coming back. At least alive. I hope I'm wrong.

Arturo isn't my favorite person, but he has every right to be upset, especially with Nick who supposedly supported his relationship with Val 100%. I just want Rocio to go away.

Ofelia finally does some renovatin. "( I think the charred curtains are finally gone and the sunlight is coming in the window so they finally did something about that. It really bugged me)" Me too Kat!

Jarifa, Juan never does seem to listen when Mar really needs to talk to him, does he? He does need to grow up.

Kat, thank you for shining a bright light on some very important scenes.

I sensed Dameso told Fed he knew what she'd done to poor Emi. I didn't understand the conversation about the "mix" Fed gave Tino. That confirms Fed's assertion that Tino is the father is a bald faced lie.

Ahhh, so Dam's sister is a twin! Conveniently, no one knew that as she didn't attend school with her bro. She spilled the tea he didn't come home the night of the fiesta very quickly...now the pieces are starting to fit. This was so important Kat, thank you for generous and oh so helpful translations!

Kat, this was great and the episode was not to bad, either.

So once again Mar is upset with Ofelia and never wants to talk to her again... Okey... we'll see about that.

Rocio catching Nick and Val in the act moves tthings along, as we don't have the time for Val to be in denial for the next couple of months.
I agree with Diana that Arturo's reaction was normal, especially since Nick has done everything to make his relationship with Val work; now he comes off as a huge hypocrite and a sorry excuse for a brother.

It was interesting to see that Nick didn't take it out on Val when he found out that she knew about the faux marriage between Mar and his father. Arturo sent Val packing when he found out she knew about Rocio. Sure, it's not the same thing, but their reactions are polar opposites.

And talking about the faux marriage, I'm actually with the kids on this one. It was a stupid decision to make in order to "teach them a lesson", marry some 20 year old that nobody knew just months (or was it weeks) after losing their mother.

Juan is, as always, acting like an idiot. Susana is still the worst. How could she be so kind and accepting to Camila and never took the time to see Mar as anything other than Ofelia's daughter?

I feel bad for Leo, but he will be alright on the long term. I do wonder where he's going, though...

Adriana, I think Leo is going to look for concrete proof about Paula, most likely start with the art gallery. No idea why he is going to the city as it seems they already live on the outskirts and go in every day to work. Hopefully he's not going to kill himself, Diana. he is needed to take down Paula. I liked how Mateo technically didn't lie to Paula. Everything Leo learned was from her own lips.

Initially Nick wanted to react like Arturo about Val knowing why Luis married, then his cooler head prevails.

I only have a few minutes this morning, but I wanted to throw the theory out there, maybe Leo isn't really leaving for the city. Maybe he's faking the business trip to give himself excuse to get some space from Paula while he investigates - probably doesn't want to share a bed with her right now! Can't blame him there!

Thanks once again, Diana, for a great recap, and Kat for filling in details. It looks like Aide and Tino are both figuring out who the father of the twins is. I hope they work together on this!

Igor told Clara Luz the UBS had proof Guzman was cheating the business. Hopefully Clara Luz will tell someone other than her lawyer.

Fede and Demaso are working together to keep Aide and Tino apart. Fede tried to hold something over him, I can’t remember what. But that’s when Demaso mentioned the coma. So they each have something on the other!

I sure hope Chofis tells someone, it seems she doesn’t see her mother as someone she can confide in.

It seems whoever molested Uli spoke and it didn’t sound like Facundo’s voice in the mask. I’m still betting on Guzman.

I think Igor did make another copy of the USB and plans on giving it to Tino and Aïde. I bet Fede knows about Damaris and that Dameso is the twins father. I probably could get more insight if I rewatch the show. I do like how there is some mystery to this and everything isn't just spoon fed to us. But we probably are missing some clues due to not being fluent in Spanish.

Thanks Kat, great recap. His kids have not learned anything, even after throwing Mar out and then having her arrested. They really don’t have compassion. But I’m not sure what Luis expected of them, I thought it was independence. After cutting off their funds they pretty much learned this.

Rocio seems more and more like a nut job. She didn’t want Val to be Arturo’s girlfriend, and she was actually the cause of the breakup where he was through with her. She knew he was through with Val so what good would the picture serve. Did she want him mad at Nick too, so he’d leave his family for her. And he told Val more than once they were finished. Someone even told Val he spent the night with Priscila. So I’m not sure why he’s so outraged, except that’s his normal reaction.

How did Susana manage to be nice to Camila? She’s always so mean to Mar. And Juan meekly goes along with “mommy dearest”. They don’t deserve to be in the baby’s life.

I think Leo is doing some investigating so he can throw everything at Paula at once.

I couldn't believe Chofis didn't run to Lichita the moment she saw her! They have the usual mother/daughter at that age conflicts but this is earth shattering. I sure hope she does tell her tonight...

Kat, you are likely right in that Fed surely knew about Damaris as well as knowing Damaso is the twins' father. That said, I am surprised Guzman didn't continue to keep his sister under wraps...

I agree that the mystery is intriguing. They've had some interesting plot twists and we might be in for another surprise or two.

Juegos #34

I was a distracted watcher of this episode as I am trying to cross stitch and listen. So I'll add the highlights.
* Karina fights with Roberto about her raising of Gaby and it being ok to leave her daughter home alone. Dad took Gaby home with him, leaving Karina free to boink Enrique again at his election headquarters.
* Roberto sees Omar in his truck at a location he is staking out. Not exactly sure if it is where the dead guy worked. Roberto also visited dead guys mother in jail. She is convinced he is dead as he hasn't tried to get in touch with her at all
* Natalia is going to continue to be the eyes in the hostel against Joachin. Roberto gives her and Fabiola's dad the photos he took of Joachin's locker. Fab's dad in turn gives Roberto the hard drives. They know that Joachin has not been following up on the Fabiola sightings.
*Alex and Daniel are officially novios now. She has told him she loves him. Alex dad is happy. Mom is not. She had to borrow money from Ines to keep their Cafe. A collection officer showed up when Ines was visiting her to get her to influence Alex to stay with Adrian. Ines offered to help and she paid off the loan.
* Memo drugs Pato at a nightclub where they are out with Paul. Pato starts dancing shirtless and downing drinks. Paul gets jealous of course. Memo has 2 guys taking video of the whole thing.
* Bertha tells Francisco the only way to derail the furious investigation is to kill him. Francisco says that would not be good for the campaign and nixes it. I probably should revisit that scene.
*Omar is going to have therapy with Luci to help control his anger.
* Luci visits Ines. She really feels Adrian needs therapy. Ines pulls the mother knows best and if you don't respect my decision then you aren't welcome at our house anymore.

So there is my very brief recap.

The short recap was very informative, Kat. I am finding Memo’s goal at setting up Pato elusive. Does he want Pato for himself (I thought he wanted Paul) or is he intent on breaking up P&P and hurting the campaign? Does he want Enrique’s recognition? Does he question if his father might be Enrique?

Karina and Enrique, otra vez!!! Where is this heading? Ines is the one with power now. Where will she turn?

I like Alex and Daniel, but relationship is probably doomed as she was in the car.
Her parents have different opinions on the relationship. I like the dad. Ines paid off their debt and now has leverage.

Francisco and Berta are dangerous. I guess Fiscal Furia is safe for now.

Very intriguing show.

Babachita, I think Memo wants Pato for himself, based on the character synopsis that was given to us at the beginning. Driving Paul back to the states is likely his objective. Also, if Memo discredits Pato, then perhaps he thinks Enrique will bring him into the campaign.

In the final weeks of the first 2 evening shows so unless I recap a new offering, I can devote more time to this one. Unfortunately it is on at 10 so I have a harder time with that time slot. Usually it takes me at least 2 hours to do an episode with all the scenes. I need to try and get more sleep than I've been allowing myself lately.

After watching, I agree with you Adriana, I'm team kids on this one. Art's explosive reaction was immature, but he made a valid point. Luis always criticized him for playing with woman and yet he turned around and married Mar to teach his kids a lesson. It was a rash, desperate, and bad decision. It's not making the 101 best ideas list for 'how to encourage your kids to grow up', and after all the time Luis has spent yelling, criticizing, taking away credit cards, kicking them out of the house, and firing them for their mistakes; I think it's fair that they get to voice a little bit of 'what were you thinking?' at dad in this situation. I actually remain impressed by how calm Cami is taking this.... did they drug her or something?

I also agree about Nic not taking it out on Val. Even in his frustration, he seemed madder about the situation then he was mad that Val knew. He didn't actually seem to me like he was worried about whether or not Val knew it was more like he was verifying that she knew what he was talking about before he started venting so he knew she had the context. His attitude was more of 'How can this possibly be true?' than it was 'How could you have known it was true?'

Speaking of how, how can Val be betraying Art when they aren't together?? Stupid Rocio saying Val is betraying Art when she KNOWS they aren't together!!!! So annoying!!! And all that BS about Nic being a Portillo and how they are bad people... what a horrible person SHE is!!! It makes me mad. We didn't need another toxic mother around here. This one is crazy too!


 

Papas #74 part 1

Aïde tells Dameso she has been having flashbacks of the night at prepa and that as they were making out she had a sensation of deja vu. Dameso tells her the same with e because our souls are so attuned to each other. Their talk is interrupted by a call from Bertha. Aïde thinks Bertha never calls me. Is everything ok, she asks her. She says Facundo came and took Scarlett. She rushes off refusing Damaso's offer of help.

Damaris tells Tino it's been nice talking to you but I better get back to work or my brother will scold me. Tino says we're just talking amongst peers. Then he asks about Dameso and his character. I guess he also asks what she remembers of the fiesta night. She says Dameso remembers it as a special time, a coming of man event, I think she says. Then she says I'm talking too much, don't say anything to Dameso. Then he gets a message from Uli about Scarlett.

Lichita is irate at Chofis for missing the exam, the money that was wasted ( once again I guess you have to pay to go to highschool in Mexico). Chofis insists she had a stomach ache and that is why she missed it. Lichita is your colicos name Oliver? Chofis fires back, sure I was with him, you never believe anything I say . Guzman calls Lichita. He likes her cartoon idea. He sweet talks her. We are great friends, right. She agrees, as Chofis runs out of the room.

Bertha apologizes to aide for not being able to keep Facundo from taking Scarlett. Aide says it wasn't your fault. Emi is taking it especially hard since he wasn't able to prevent Scarlett from leaving. Aïde tells him it is Facundo's fault. Tino rushes in asking for Scarlett. Why they have come here is beyond me, they both know Facundo has her. At any rate Aïde states the obvious, Facundo took her. They both leave to find her. At Facundo's apartment building Aïde says I've 100 times and he's not answering. Facundo and Scarlett are not at the apartment. Tino wonders if they should report him. She says he has visitation rights, but not unless he personally clears it with me. She isn't sure what he will do after the denunciation by Uli. Tino calms her down. Facundo cals Aïde. Why are you bothering me, I'm out with my daughter ( in a park, she is holding her pooch too).

Looks like Damaris works in Dameso's wellness clinic. He tells her his meeting with Aide went great. He will soon be THE spiritual wellness coach and emotional self healing coach of Mexico with the platform he is starting with Aide. She then mentioned that the other day he told her about his time at prepa and the night of the party ( which explains why she remembers something vague that happened 27 years ago. That baffled me). You mentioned it was a special night for you and you were totally a man Dameso wonders why she asks. Purely out of curiosity, she says. He then says what happened that night brought about consequences that I have just discovered ( well he must be thick if he is only now putting 2 and 2 together, unless he also was so wasted he had no memory of the event either). Which will be very valuable to me if I can align the chakras just right.

Bertha, Lila and Uli are so sad for Emi, who is in his room. They are going to bring him a sweet to cheat him up, leaving Circe and Checo together at the table. Circe feels responsible because she made fun of Facundo online. Checo tells her you were impulsive, but you were trying to defend your brother.the subject changes. Tino is my dad and I love him, but I also have a need to know who my biological dad is.

 

Papas #74 part 2

Tino is staying with Aide until Facundo shows up so he can distract Scarlett while aide talks to Facundo. So Facundo I think is moving to Monterey ( for a job) and intends to take Scarlett with him. He will get the lawyers involved and bring up the false tes6by Uli against him, and perhaps use the fact that Uli was abused as a teen against her in court.

Tino and aide return home. He advises her to get a lawyer. She has so many things swirling in her head she can't stand it. Tino asks what else. She backpedals and says it's about Scarlett, Uli, Guzman. Of course Fede now is calling him so there goes that bonding between them.

Fede needs help, I think she claims she is bleeding, needs a shot from the pharmacy. Please help me. Aide says you have to go. Yes, but we still need to talk. Now she gets a voicemail from Dameso. He asks how things went with Scarlett and they left things in a strange place at the cabin.

Chano and Lichita argue. He is his usual macho obnoxious self blaming Lichita for not keeping Chofis in line. He's the man of the house. Hell deal with her
Lichita does think there is something wrong besides the boyfriend. Chofis comes into the room and Chano yells at her.

A bit difficult conversation to relate between Fede and Tino. She complains she is feeling poorly because Guzman made her come into work. She needs to pay her bills so she went. She continues to complain that Tino isn't emotionally supportive. I think she suggests that she go to work with him at view family. Now way are you getting near my family, especially Emi. She makes a reference to how will aide pay for a place to live. She uses people you know. Tino is fed up.and leaves.

Chofis chews her folks out for not talking about sex with her. It's obvious you had it when you were young, exhibit 1 being Checo. You would have 4 kids if you hadn't had a vasectomy dad. Then she storms out again. Chano looks shell shocked. #4 is on the way....

Fede is giving Dameso advice ( via phone)about how to use the abuse of Uli and how Facundo was wrongly accused to get to Aide. Dameso wants to have a relationship with aide and she can have her thing with Tino and unknown paternity baby. Fede says it's his. Dameso insists the herbs impede sex drive, it's not his. I'm not sure what else he said. Perhaps they have more dirt on aide.

Aïde and Facundo are at the school for drop off, or pick up. Uli and Circe arrive. Facundo reminds them they need to make their public apology or he will press charges against them. Dameso shows up to defend them. Facundo is and who are you, her new lover?

Tino is talking to Rudolph. He thinks Dameso is the twins father, but no proof yet. He has a twin. But Dameso told us he left the party before the end. Rudolph then talks about old times in the band at school. He had a bad feeling about Dameso then. He and Chano were friends too. N( not sure I got that correct).

Dameso tells the twins he found a place to do their next music video for viewfam. He apologizes to aide for arguing with her ex. ( Nameste bow). He is supportive of the twins and gives them advice on getting through the day ( it was drop off). Aide has to go. Dameso asks to meet so they can talk, please.

Lichita is taking Chofis to school to see if she can salvage the school year. Chofis says no, I'm taking care of it on my own and brushes past her. Lichita grabs her arm to stop her, which makes Chofis cry in agony. Luchita removes the sweater from her arm and sees the bruises. Who did this to you? Chofis says it's nothing.

Rudolph and Tino some more. His lawyer is moving heaven and earth to get Pipe and Clara Luz back to him. Brizuela is on board with the nostalgia concert. Tino's head isn't in business. He can't stop thinking about Dameso possibly being the twins father.
 

Papas #74 part 3
Luchita wants facts. Was it Oliver. I'm worried about you. Chofis says I told you it's not him, and you won't believe me if I tell you the truth. They head off to school.

Dameso and Aïde talk at the coffee shop. He insists what they felt at the cabana was the world telling them they belong together. Aide remembers he also made fun of her at school. How can you now say we are predestined to be together. I was an idiot in school he says. But people change. See how you got over the bullying from the past. She wants to revisit that part, not the bullying, but to discover her secret Abuser. She says at the cabana I had the sensation that mu abuser was you. He swallows uncomfortably.

Talk about bullying, poor Uli is now getting teased at school by his male classmates. Uli stands up for himself which shits them up and they apologize to him. Circe is so proud of him.

Dameso confesses to aide the graduation night he took drugs which messed him up for years until he found the light. She couldn't have imagined he went through that. When I met you again I felt so many things. Beep beep, message. He excuses himself to take care of something. Hell talk to her later. Thanks for listening to me.

The orphanage last tells Rudolph she is worried about Pipe. He has suffered so much loss in his young life. When pipe comes out Rudolph gives him a pep talk. Pipe promises to be strong a little bit longer.

Chano and Checo are at maxiclik. They discuss Circe who is in search of bio dad. Everyone wants to know their biological parents. Chano looks stunned ( Fede on his mind?). He recalls the convo with Fede and him telling her he had a vasectomy so he can't be the baby daddy, then starts wretching as usual.

Guzman is drinking on about work at a staff meeting while Lichita zones out. He dismisses everyone but Lichita. What's up? She says she's worried about Chofis, she has bruises on her arms, but she evaded me at school. Do you want me to talk to her. No this is my problem. Well count on me if you need help with her.

Yeni meets with Chofis after school. She gives her bad advice again. You better not let your folks know you may have an STD, your dad will kill Oliver. Checo arrives to escort Chofis home. Some girl sort of collides with him and apologizes.( Did she plant drugs on him?)

Circe and Uli are talking but shut up when Lila walks in. She is feeling left out. Uli says it's a long story. Checo texts Circe ( I bet the girl stole his phone). He wants to see her for a bit. Lila tells Circe you can't leave without permission. Please help me Circe begs.

Facundo kinda flirts with Lichita at the office. She is happy ..Chano comes up macho man again. Lichita needs to talk to him but not here. Fede texts Chano. I need those documents. He tells Lichita well talk later, work awaits.

Chano texts Tino about meeting to talk. They get together. Rudolph said you and Dameso were friends at school. He says, yes then, but not now. You are asking me about stuff from 20 years ago, I can barely remember what happened yesterday. Chano chatters with superfluous 'ch' words as usual. Is it a thing that all slang words begin with ch in Mexican Spanish? It sounds like Dameso thought Tino was getting all the girls and it was a competition to have the most notches in their bed post.

Rosita visits Rudolph. He gets her a coffee , then goes to set up the room for don Jorge video.The seer tells Rosita she has the largest essence of insecurity about her. She laughs in his face. Rudolph comes in and complains she isn't accomplishing anything in his case.
 

Papas #74 part 4

Circe. Is looking for Checo near his house but he's not there. She texts him. Calacas accosts her.

Back to Chano and Tino. Tino doesn't begrudge the fact his kids want to know their bio dad. Every child deserves that. Between you and me, I'm not sure Fede is having my baby. I recall nothing of that fateful night. I'll get a DNA test later when the danger of losing the baby is over Chano is about to tell Tino about him and Fede when the scene ends.

 

PAPAS

Kat, your language skills were on spectacular display tonight. I was fairly lost throughout yet you crystallized all of the oft confusing and murky events perfectly.

Sis spills the tea to Tino that Dámaso told her the fiesta “…was a special night “and that he was “totally a man.” That seems like credible proof to me…but wait. Then he says “…what happened that night brought about consequences that I have just discovered …” Huh?? So he admitted he had sex that night but it never occurred to him he fathered the twins? This does not compute. At least Aidé now remembers and is asking for answers.

My fervent wish that Chofis would tell her mother did not come to pass. Sadly, she feels her mother wouldn’t believe her if she did tell the truth. Guzmán trying to be supportive and consoling of Lichita was sickening.

Chano is a liar, cheater and very weak. I’ll throw useless in the mix as well. I hope he finally tells Tino the truth about Fed.

Thank heavens Tino shot down Fed’s request to work at view fam. She needs to permanently stay away from Emi.

Rudolf tells Tino that “his lawyer is moving heaven and earth to get Pipe and Clara Luz back to him”. I highly doubt that!

Las hijas, #78, Part 1/3

Uh oh! Arturo grabs Nick by the collar and pushes him inside the apartment!
“How long has it been since you’ve been taking me for a fool?” he screams. “Valeria, you accused me of not trusting you or your sister! And I was right not to!”
Nick takes the blame, he fell in love with Val. Art wants to know when it happened, Nick insists Val never did anything wrong. Art says he saw them kiss, ends up punching Nick. He would never have imagined such a betrayal. Val says nothing is happening between them, Nick apologizes for not telling him the truth sooner.
Art never wants to see them again. “If you only knew, brother, the sacrifice I’m making for you!” He adds this and off he goes.
That’s settled then, Nick is Rocio’s son!
Outside the building Rocio is waiting for Arturo. He’s also upset with her for showing him the video, he would have been better off not knowing. Now he’s lost his brother. He can never trust him again. Rocio says he has her, but Art doesn’t want to see her again, either. He drives off.
I’m kind of conflicted. Was she supposed to keep this to herself?

Val is alone, crying. She still has the feels for Art, but he pushed her away. And Nick doesn’t deserve any of this. When did her heart start getting so confused?
Nick is not better, he gets back home and tells Michele that he hurt his brother. He should have told him before, Art will never forgive them. He lost his brother and he lost Valeria also. How can he fix things?
Art is driving, but then stops his car, gets out and screams at Val’s bus stop poster: “How could you do this to me, betray me like this with my brother? I can’t with this!” He sobs while falling to the ground.

Amparo insists that Ofelia should tell her daughters about all the abuse she’s had to suffer. But Ofelia doesn’t want to destroy their memory of their father.

Leo tells Paula he has to go on a business trip, there is nothing to worry about. He kisses her, refuses to leave the next day instead and off he goes.

The next day Ofelia is in her nicely painted casita. She bought some new stuff, a couch, throw pillows and a blanket. And a rattle toy for her grandbaby. She still has a lot of money left in that bag. Oh, the sacrifices one must make for the kids, she says.

Over breakfast, Paula tries to question Luis about Leo’s behavior, but he’s in no mood to chat with her. He and Mar leave together.

Leo has come to visit Lupita. He wants to know everything that Paula has done. We don’t see what Lupita says but then Leo goes to the gallery, asking about his wife, also.

Val tells Mar that Art found out about she and Nick, he saw a video of them kissing. She ruined the brothers’ relationship. And she still has to see them at work.
Mar, ever the naïve optimist, thinks in time Art will accept it and forgive them. She offers to come with her to work, but Val decides to confront things on her own. She’ll have to talk to Art. Mar asks if she knows what she wants in her heart. Val can’t think about this, it’s too confusing. She only got close to Nick because Art hurt her, but she isn’t looking for excuses for what she did. Mar thinks there is plenty of blame to go around.

 

Las hijas, #78, Part 2/3

Nick is desperately trying to reach Art, but his brother is not answering. Michele thinks he should give him time and space.

Art comes to see Priscila. She can see that he’s not well and he confirms that he has a lot of problems. But that’s not why he came. He wanted to let her know he will no longer work with Nick, because he betrayed him. Priscila says that if he’s no longer part of that company, she can take her money out, too. As much as Art would like that, he can’t be like them and ruin that company. Priscila thinks he’s too good.

Ofelia is back at the mansion. Paula meets her on the stairs outside. Ofelia has come to bring her back her money, it didn’t bring her any happiness. She’s rather see her fall. Paula says they had a deal, but Ofelia now realizes making a pact with her was too much. She only spent a little bit of the money, but here is the rest. She doesn’t want it anymore, she only wants peace. Paula calls her ridiculous, Leo will never believe her. Ofelia says she doesn’t have to do anything against her, all she cares about now is getting back the only things she ever loved.

Camila is at home, checking out a photo of Juan on her phone. She misses him so much.

Paula has indeed accepted some money and has set Saul free. The lawyer is making him sign some document agreeing to whatever, I don’t get this deal: she accepted a reward for saying she was never abused?

Ofelia is back home, when there is a strong knock – Rocio comes in and is desperate because Art is now rejecting her. And it’s all because of Val, who is playing with both brothers. She saw her kiss Nick!
Ofelia tells Rocio she shouldn’t meddle, she barely knows her son, she should think about the consequences of her actions. This is rich coming from the queen of meddling, but you know, people who live in glass houses… And Rocio better not blame Val, it is none of her business. And she is done helping her. Rocio says she is not done, she won’t lose her son.

Mar and Paula exchange barbs. Paula insists she was always on her side, but Mar has finally seen the kid of woman her supposed bestie truly is.

Camila comes by Juan’s house. She’s brought a bunch of stuff for Susana and Jacinto (and a new shirt for Juan to replace the one she ruined). A microwave, an iron, a coffee maker. Jacinto says thanks but no thanks, even when Camila insists she only wants to help. Their affection was genuine, she is more valuable than all this stuff that she now affords to buy again. Camila leaves. They do keep the shirt for Juan.
They are both shaken by the visit, Camila didn’t look good, were they to hard on her? Jacinto doesn’t think so, he thinks Susana is crying over the gifts. But no, Susana cries because she did end up caring about Camila a lot.

At the office, Art tells Nick that he’s leaving their partnership. Nick wants to talk first, Val thinks she should be the one to go.
Priscila is shocked to find out the fight is about Val and Nick getting together. Val asks her to stay out of it, it’s none of her business. She leaves, after reassuring them she will be around as long as they need her before finding a new model. Priscila would like to stick around, but Art asks her to leave him alone with Nick.
Once again Nick takes the blame for everything. He wanted to tell Art, but he could never find the right moment; he didn’t want to steal Val from him, he fell in love a long time ago; and while Art couldn’t stop doubting, he took the time to get to know Val and his love became greater.
But then he saw that Art was falling for her, too, so he decided to stay away and push them together. He only got close to her when Art rejected her.
Art says that he only did that because he found out something horrible that she kept from him. He stops short of saying what it was. Nick begs Art to understand him, he even tried to move to Boston. Art asks what Val feels and Nick says she is confused.
Then Art decides to make things easier for them. They should talk about all the business stuff with Priscila from now on.

 

Las hijas, #78, Part 3/3

Priscila confronts Val, she can’t believe she’d go this far. She’s made things so much easier for her in her quest to get back together with Art.

Ofelia is worried about Val. She tells Amparo to call her, find out if she’s OK or not. They chat briefly and Val agrees to come to her house to talk. Ofelia wants to leave, Val won’t want to see her. But Amparo can tell her everything after.

Priscila comes to see Camila to tell her about Val betraying Art. Camila is “oh, I knew it!”, but she finds out the other guy is Nick. She gets very mad, she will go talk to Val.

Nick goes to see Luis, he needs him. He’s always in control, but not this time. He fell in love with a woman who is forbidden for him. Nothing happened, they only kissed. It’s Valeria… Oh, Luis’ face. Nick explains his feelings, he can’t lose his brother. Luis is sympathetic, love is like this, but he’s sure Art is also suffering. Nick says that he’d stay away if Val got back together with Art.
Luis says this is Val’s decision to make, she has to be the one to choose who she wants to be with.

Leo has come to see Ofelia, they need to talk. She needs to tell him everything she knows about Paula. He needs to understand who is the woman he married.

Thank you, Adriana! Your recap is the perfect start to the morning!!

I haven't watched yet of course, but I'm going to give my opinion on your question, 'was she supposed to keep it to herself?' YES!!! Ofelia is a hypocrite but she's also right, exactly as you described it - she worded it perfectly, 'Rocio shouldn’t meddle, she barely knows her son' and 'it is none of her business!!!' (Emphasis added) Now if you had gotten proof of an ongoing affair or something, maybe you say something when it's clear this is something that is going on, but Rocio saw A kiss, one kiss. And a kiss the Val pretty much ran away from. Hyprocrite O nailed it, Ro doesn't know what's going on and had no idea what she was even telling, she should've kept her mouth shut - or at the most confronted Nic or Val not ran straight to gleefully and coldly shove it in Art's face just to cause a rift between him and Nic and Val!

Time to run off to work already.... more later, I hope!

Adriana, fantastic as ever. The Casita certainly looks much better with a small amount of money spent on it. O is a better painter than Val who barely accomplished anything when she worked on it I wonder how the outside looks now. Is it still sooty?

I thought it was funny how Mar's seat at the dining room table moves with the presence or abscense of family members. Generally she sits to the left of Luis, this scene she was on the right with Paula next to her. In her shoes I would have put as much distance as possible between us. It's nice to see her finally grow a spine

This had so much wailing and beating themselves up on it I'm glad I didn't have to recap .. Art cries, Nick cries, Val cries, O almost cried. It gets old.

I was impressed at Cami's thoughtfulness to Susana. Yes, it is easy to spend money when you have it, but the gifts she purchased were useful and would have made Susana's life easier.

Yes, I had to laugh when “hypocrite” Ofelia was lecturing Rocío about meddling. Here is hoping Ofelia has really learned her own lesson.

Luis is right again about it being VAL’S decision to make concerning which brother she wants.

I couldn’t take Nick’s wailing scene after scene.

Are we ever going to find out how the Portilla’s really ended up with Rocío’s son? Will that son really be Art? I still have my doubts.

Loved how Luis and Mar left for the office together and Paula at the breakfast table. The cheese stands alone! LOL

Adriana Noel, thank you for so expertly conveying all the angst and agony. Your writing is superb.

"She only got close to Nick because Art hurt her." Initially, yes, but only because Arturo wouldn't give her the time of day. But their attraction and compatibility is real.

While Rocio should have kept her mouth shut, would Art have taken it any better if Nick or Val had quietly taken him aside and tried to explain? Perhaps but we will never know. Arturo also has failed to realize he somewhat pushed her into Nick's arms by the way he treated and constantly doubted her.

I really enjoyed Ofelia throwing the black bag o' money at Paula in front of the mansion in broad daylight! Take that!...

Cami bringing the little cart with the thoughtful gifts was so touching. Not. Sorry not sorry. Two minutes later she is chasing after Val ready to scream, yell and judge once again.

Leo is in for a world of hurt but I give him credit for ensuring he speaks with everyone learning the severity of Paula's treachery.

Thanks, Kat, for the excellent recap. The show is really moving fast now. I also thought Chano was going to tell Tino about him and Fed, which surprised me. Chano has a lot to lose, even though his marriage already seems doomed.

I wondered about the girl that bumped into Checo but it never occurred to me that she stole his phone. Calacas has probably been planning this for a long time.

I thought Aide had figured out Damaso was the twin’s dad. I guess she just suspects him. What a load of bull about the Deja vu being that their souls are so attuned to each other!

I’m glad Lichita noticed the bruise on Chofis’ arm. She knows Guzman has that head wound. Wonder what the odds are that she’ll put two and two together!

Ruldofo needs to get a better lawyer!
 

Juegos #35 part 1

I may start a abbreviating Roberto to FF, fiscal furia. He brings some flowers to Lucia's place and notices Omar's truck. He asks what were you doing hanging around Eric Zapata's barrio. Omar pleads ignorance, I was lost and didn't know the area but the probable death with no body found of Eric is discussed. Omar leaves and later talks with Susy, who is looking a bit stressed. Elena calls him but he ignores her. He is afraid FF told her that he suspects Omar of killing Erik. Elena calls Susy worried about Omar. He was bringing boxes over but never showed up. Susy says his truck quit. After she hangs up she tells Omar that Elena suspects nothing. Omar starts doing some thinking and remembers that Enrique accused him of killing an innocent man to keep him silent. So if that is the case then that means his son is the real killer. I have to kill him. Poor Susy talks him out of that idea, no more killing especially if you aren't positive of the facts.

At the daytime nightclub ( unless the continuity people are falling down on the job) Paul breaks it off with Pato who is totally under the influence of whatever Memo slipped in his drink. Mission accomplished for memo. Paul is going back to Boston. He arrives at the hostel and Luci tries to reason with him. She calls both Pato and Memo, neither of whom answer.

FF is at the auto shop ( Erika?). He picks the lock and enters . He is wearing dark clothes, a hoody and a brown leather looking backpack. I guess he's undercover.

Alexa and Daniel are walking back from a cinema date. She had told her folks they were working on the project. Daniel wants to let them know they are an item but Alexa says your mother knowing is enough for now. You are wonderful, chaste kiss on the lips and a few te amos and he leaves

Ines talks to Adrian. She went to talk to Alex. She's not ready to date but it's just a matter of time before she gets back with you , I promise. I spoke with her mother and she will help. Adrian has his doubts.

Rebecca is working on Alex. I spoke with Adrian's mom. She says you 2 are soulmates. Alex says we are over. Rebecca says after 3 years, you are just on a break. Your future name is Ferrer. In the real world love isn't enough. Alex says it is my future. Then she drops the news that the family business and home was on the brink of foreclosure and Adrian's mom bailed them out. Alex is irate. You sold me! You have no idea what you have done and what that family is really like.

Memo brings Pato home to his parents place and lies him on the couch. He kinda caresses his face but then Mariana walks in. Mom is why were you on the point of kissing Pato? I guess she knows he is gay, though he says you've met my girlfriends. She says your cousin is off limits if Enrique were to find out. Memo grabs her and says don't talk about him. She is saved by the bell. It is Luci looking for Pato and Memo. She comes in as memo sneers at her. Memo what did you do?

FF has spotted the blood on the tire rim using the blue light and some sort of spray we see used in cop shows. Bhe calls Jimenez to tell her what he has found.

Enrique is in his office. Karina texts him to say she has made the corrections he requested. Is she working for him again? I'm never sure on this on again off again merry go round. She then says this lady one is free. A video message of her in a black neglige. Enrique sends Pato a voice message. He needs him at 10 a.m tomorrow when he will be presented as the new head of Enrique's empire. Enrique looks at a brass scale he has on his desk. He pushes one side down and it stays in that position. Not a very good scale as nothing was placed on it!

Thanks, Adriana, I loved your recap. Another show where things are really moving along! A lot to absorb. This whole Arturo, Nick triangle is ridiculous. Nick never wanted to see Val again. She was told he spent the night with Priscila. Which he did, just not what she thinks. But he kissed Priscila. Plus Rocio had no business meddling. Arturo told her he wasn’t with Val anymore so why would she think Val was betraying him. This whole story line makes no sense.

I like the way Leo is investigating everything. It won’t be long until he confronts her! I hope we don’t have to wait until the last episode. The papers Saul signed worry me. He didn’t even read them!

One thing I’m wondering about. When Ofelia refused to help Rocio win “her son” back I thought she told Ofelia, “ you know what I’m capable of”. Which was a definite threat. Which makes me think she did push the aunt in front of the bus. I hope that comes out. Rocio is bs crazy.

Maybe it’s just me, but I thought it was a little rude of Susana and Jacinto to turn down the gifts. I liked what they said about her needing to value herself, but having to wheel the gifts out would be embarrassing. And I still don’t like Camila. She seems too much like Priscila.
 

Juegos #35 part 2

Luci tells Memo you know he doesn't drink what happened. Paul is leaving. Memo says good, he obviously doesn't actually live him. Memo wants to keep him and take care of him but Mariana wants Luci to get him back to his place. Pato's cell rings. Mariana takes it from his pocket and says it's a message from Enrique. Memo and Mariana leave as Luci tries to revive Pato. He sort of wakes up and Luci tells him he drank too much. No you know I don't drink( he did take water when he first arrived. I guess memo spiked his water, though it looked like a different glass to me,).

Next day Pato is ready for his presentation but his head is exploding. Luci wonders if he was drugged. He doesn't see how. His relationship is in the trash. Luci tries to reason with him about something and he says enough. Luci pleads don't you get angry with me too. She tells him how his mom told her she was no longer welcome at their house.

FF talks to Jimenez. He has practically solved the car as we know it, but Jimenez isn't so sure. He says Fabiola is the key. He asks her not to say anything to anyone, (but I doubt she will keep it from Joachin.)

Back to Luci and Pato. He says my parents are acting strange lately. Their is a distance between them. Luci agrees. He wonders if they are fighting. Saved by a phone ringing. He has to go, ttyl.

Ines calls Rodrigo, a campaign worker, about the pro family talk she is giving. She then calls Leonardo. Adrian catches her eye as he heads off to uni. I guess he is on a short leash because of his behavior. He has to take a bodyguard with him. If you don't agree you can't leave. Also if you drink you are out of here.

Daniel plucks at his mom's piano in the nearly empty apartment. (Hey,I have the same linoleum in my hallway. Elena enters. He gives her a bit from someone who wants to buy the sofa. He tells her a bit about Alex. How she feels guilty in her head about Toby. He then asks why she and dad are apart as they obviously still love each other. She says he has always been her love, but things changed. And now they have changed even more. He is acting strange. He was helping me move then he cancelled because something came up.

Adrian huffs out of the house to the SUV with the bodyguard. Omar is watching from his truck planning his death.

Pato leaves the press conference at the office Enrique asks why did you leave so abruptly. Because I'm concerned about Paul. He won't answer my calls. Enrique warns him, don't mix work and family. Pato says I don't mess in your campaign. But I do have a beef with what you are doing to Luci. Enrique has no clue so Pato fills him in. Luci told mom she feels Adrian needs professional help and mom kicked her out of the house and family. Enrique will call Luci to smooth things over. She ignores the call as she reflects back on past arguments they had. Tears fall. FF asks are those tears on my behalf? They hug. Later they walk in the park eating ice cream and kiss. I guess they are back together.

Adrian is working on Clara to get her help with Alex. Clara doesn't understand what his obsession with her is. Daniel tells Adrian to leave Clara alone and if you want to talk about my girlfriend I'm right here. Daniel asks Adrian why do you act as though Alex is a trophy to be won. Because we are united in things other than love that will never change .Clara leaves and the two square off. Daniel forces Adrian to the ground by twisting his arm behind him but the body breaks it up.

I wondered when the videos at the nightclub would materialize. Enrique and Pato are discussing Paul's flight when a reporter asks him to comment on this scandal. Pato is shocked. Oops.

Omar phones Susy. He is going to right a wrong. He has been drinking in his truck . Adrian is walking in the parking lot.


 

Juegos #35;part 3.

Luci and FF need to be honest with each other. The whole truth, nothing but the truth... He will try. He has things to tell her. He isn't angry with Enrique because of Karina. He is convinced that Adrian and Memo were the ones that hit Toby and they are covering it up. She just stares at him. Perhaps she believes him this time?

"I’m glad Lichita noticed the bruise on Chofis’ arm. She knows Guzman has that head wound. Wonder what the odds are that she’ll put two and two together!" is a great question Liz, especially as she helped him tend to his "wound" which (unfortunately) has so diminished it looks like a small band aid would cover the "damage".

Thanks so much Kat, for the recaps this week. I record it as I try to be in bed by 10:30. Then watch it the next day usually. But sometimes I forget to!

I had no idea Natalia is going to be watching Joachim. Although I do think it was his room where the money was. I guess I didn’t realize she had an agreement with Roberto. But he should trust her over Victoria. He tells her about the blood and she’s not sure she can keep quiet about it! And considering Roberto suspects her boyfriend he needs someone else to confide in.

Omar is going over the deep end. All that guilt for killing the one guy and now he’s decided Adrian killed his son so he’s going to kill him.

The two mothers trying to keep Alex and Adrian together make me mad. Teenagers break up, but both mothers want them together for the wrong reasons.

Memo seems to be intent on making people miserable. I’m with his mother on this, your cousin cannot be your lover. Does he think by having Paul end the relationship he’ll get Pato by default. But I don’t like Paul for Pato. The jealousy would drive me nuts. And Paul must know Pato doesn’t drink. Pato ordered water. Paul’s too quick to judge, hope he’s gone for good. But I think they’ll have a HEA.

I think Luciana will be more willing to listen to Roberto this time. She’s seen that the family isn’t quite what she thought they were. Plus, in the introduction they seem to be working together.

Liz, I watch the next day also generally, unless it's a non recap night if the other 2 shows. Then I'll start watching them all around 9 and FF through the commercials. I find if I go to bed before 11 or 12 I'm awake at 4 and can't get back to sleep. I leave the house around 6: 30 a.m. and recap this while the grandbaby sleeps.

I agree that Luci has more perspective now so hopefully it will stick. Omar is definitely going over the bend. I worry about Susy with her high blood pressure and the worry he is putting on her.

Also, the mothers do need to back off. Rebecca is just pushing her daughter at Adrian because he is rich. Fortunately her dad is on her side. I don't like Paul either. The jealousy is over the top. Pato doesn't need to be in a relationship if it fails. He's got a business to run now. Does the actor have blue eyes in real life. It doesn't seem they are blue on papas. So Mariana pushing you can't have a relationship with your cousin, when the question of procreation is out of the equation, doesn't really make sense to me. Not that I want memo with anyone, but the cousin taboo is to prevent inbreeding.

I'm glad you (and babachita) are commenting and following so Im not recapping in a vacuum.

PAPAS #75 Part 1

Previously, as she and Dámaso kiss, Aidé is shaken by a newly awoken memory that it was Dámaso hovering over her right before she passed out at the fiesta. She sits up and tells him she has a sense they have been here before but he tries to attribute it to the fact they are spiritually connected. Bertha calls her saying Facundo took Scarlet so her conversation with Dámaso is cut short. Later, when they talk face to face, she admits she had the feeling he was the one who took advantage of her. He looks guilty and later seems to blame the inordinate amount of drugs he used that night…

Sis spills the tea to Tino that Dámaso told her the fiesta “…was a special night “and something about becoming a man. But later, Dámaso tells Damaris something completely unexpected and startling: “what happened that night brought about consequences that I have just discovered …” So it seems (rather unbelievingly) that it never occurred to him he fathered the twins.

Tino tells Rudolf he believes Dam is the twins’ father despite Dámaso telling them he left the party before it was over.

Aidé and Tino find Scarlet and Ponce in the park. With Facundo. He is threatening to move and wants Scarlet to go with him. He even threatens to use Uli’s abuse against Aidé in a potential custody hearing (thanks to loathsome Fed).

After Checo has a physical run in with a girl who likely swiped his phone, Circe does not meet up with Checo but rather El Calacas, who corners her…

Chano tells Fed he can’t be the father as he had a vasectomy (liar). Later, Chano and Tino have a heart to heart; Tino has empathy that the children are trying to find their biological father and have every right to know. Then, Tino confides that he isn’t sure Fed is having his child. A very guilty-looking Chano looks as though he might talk but it was there we ended.

Tonight, Tino asks Chano if he is all right. He admits he didn’t have the vasectomy and Tino chastises him. Just then Chano gets a text and hugs his friend goodbye before scurrying off.

Circe tries to get away as El Calacas roughly grabs her, holding a knife to her throat. As he caresses her face with it, he pushes her up against an iron fence muttering about Checo.When two men walk by, he backs off. A motorcycle appears out of nowhere and whisks him away.

Yeni gives Chofis a tube of something (medicine?) as Checo appears. He wants to talk with her. She tells him she had sex with Oliver and now has an STD. He is incredulous but puts his hand on her leg in support. I believe he asked if she went to the doctor. He talks about an STD and was going to show her something on his phone and when he doesn’t have it, realizes the girl stole it from him. He hits himself on the head for his foolishness and leaves.

Lila and Uli talk; she says te quiero mucho and admires his bravery.

PAPAS #75 Part 2

Circe flies into Checo’s arms. It’s you she says, hyperventilating. She tells him about El Calacas as he shares what happened to his phone. Checo wants to tell Tino but she says he is dealing with too many problems already; she is also against talking with Aidé.

Aidé and Uli have a nice talk; she hugs him.

Igor visits Clara Luz and gives her a pep talk. They talk about Rudolf being preoccupied with Rosalinda.

Said Rosalinda is trying to hold Rudolf’s hand, who is upset about how things are going. She says things regarding Clara Luz are complicated; he gets mad and leaves. Don Jorge walks in and says something to her I didn’t get but he seems to have her number.

Dámaso is trying to live stream when Damaris interrupts and calls him but about what I couldn’t begin to understand.

Lichita is talking with calm Chofis. Te amo mi amor she says lovingly stroking her daughter’s cheek. Chofis’ lips are still sealed.

Tino and new guy look at some cartoon; Tino likes it. He calls Lila and peppers her with questions as to how everyone is doing. She thinks he is coming home, unfortunately not right now. He asks about Aidé she says she is with Dámaso. She tells him Uli is good. And Circe? Finally he asks how she is. Bien she answers. Te quiero mucho. Tino starts to leave as Rudolf starts to go after him; Igor is also upset he is leaving.

Dámaso and Aidé seem to discuss their business future. She thanks him but…she kisses him on the cheek. After he leaves, she walks over and then bangs on the counter. Circe and Uli pop up, looking guilty (cute scene).

Fed and Chano seem to discuss paternity.

Uli and Circe have nothing but good things to say about Tino. Aidé hugs them both.

PAPAS #75 Part 3

Tino shows up apologizing to Damaris for interrogating err, bothering her. She says something is mentirosa then says her brother is famous. Judging by the look on Tino’ face, she says something important. He is still questioning her in the next scene. I wonder if she mentions what he is dabbling in as Tino harkens back to seeing Dámaso’s image, then waking up to Fed after their night of (non) passion, she insisting it was all real.

Checo and Circe text. Te amo my love she says, he responds in kind.

Emi rejects Tino’s help as Aidé arrives. Circe comes in mentioning Checo and Aidé has a fit. She tries to talk with Aidé about him later, talking him up, saying he want to go the university. I believe she wasted her breath. She puts on her backpack and leaves.

Lila and Emi (wearing a shirt emblazoned with “crazy ideas”) talk. He says the only important thing to Tino is his baby with Fed. Lila calls her a witch. (Tino really needs to spend more time with Emi who is really raw and hurting but I digress).

Guzmán and El Calacas talk on the phone, Guzmán not happy. He is watching the house on his screen.

Next, Lichita is in Guzmán’s office. He starts talking but when he notices she is distracted, he says he knows she is worried about Chofis. Included in what he says is something about Facundo and Scarlet.

Aidé meets with Dámaso. He interrupts her saying he has a surprise. He pulls out his phone and shows her pictures of a nice apartment as she smiles.

Clara Luz talks to Rudolf through her jail cell bars. She seems to be completely discouraging him although it is obvious he still believes in her as she pulls her hand away. Just then, Rosalinda runs up to the cell beside herself telling Clara Luz that she is free! Rudolf is verklempt as he hugs Rosalinda. Clara Luz still looks as though she is in shock.

Checo runs into Lichita, his phone rings nonstop. It’s Fer who wants to see him right away! He walks off with his nose in the air as she smiles.

Lichita calls Oliver’s mother…

PAPAS #75 Part 4 of 4

Rosalinda gives the Reader’s Digest version as to why she is being released. If anyone understood, kindly advise.

Tino and Fed talk; Chano calls but she ignores it. He mentions Chano and that he didn’t get a vasectomy. Tino demands a DNA test. He accusingly states that you had an affair with your prima’s husband, citing but one example of her deceit. As he leaves, she makes an ugly face.

Augusto is with Aidé. She needs his complete discretion. He makes a zipping mouth sign.

Lila asks Bertha how she and her novio are doing. Bertha seems to say she is happy.

Lichita and Oliver’s mother meet and talk. She calls Oliver out and he politely greets Lichita who asks him about Chofis. His mother yells at him, but he denies he did anything to Chofis. Lichita asks to see his hand (which is unmarked) and then leaves.

Circe finally admits to Aidé that El Calacas confronted her. Aidé pulls out her phone and she and Circe head out only to be intercepted by Dámaso who offers them a ride. All three end up at Chano’s; Checo and Tino also there. Aidé starts reading the riot act and when Dámaso chimes in, Tino tells him to shut up. Lichita walks in, looking surprised, not having any idea what is going on.

Rudolf is still slobbering all over Rosalinda thanking her. Then, (unless I totally misconstrued this) to our shock, she seems to say that when Clara Luz is out, you will tell her the truth, that we are in love.

Igor joins the now significant crowd at Chano and Lichita’s. Fed calls Chano who starts ranting not realizing she is on speaker. I didn’t get everything that was said but Fed does tell Chano, loud and clear that her baby is his! Lichita grabs the phone, staring at Chano with a mixture of pain and shock.

Another whirlwind as we begin the descent to the end. I wish I had understood more but did the best I could. Thank you for filling in and/or correcting what I got wrong.

I think don Jorge told Rosalinda that her feelings are not reciprocated. I didn't get Damaris points either. She meant something about his ex. Maybe a lawsuit against him. She picks up his herbs for the business so the place doesn't know him I think.
Both Rudolph and Igor want to tell Tino about the USB to take Guzman down.

Damaris talks about the herb, Solis or something I've forgotten. The herb is very popular but it is a vascular depressing so know cuchi cuchi for guys for 48 hours after using it. So he realizes Fede lied.

I don't understand why Guzman is watching Aide's old house. I guess it will be revealed later.

Guzman wants Luchita to determine if the company shares were really put into Scarlett's name. They also discussed how maxiclik is losing subscribers but viewfam is gaining.

Aide wants to get out of the barrio so Circe isn't as close physically to Checo. In the earlier scene Circe defended her love for Checo, he is a good guy, going to uni, etc. I love him.

Clara luz isn't actually free, she is free until she goes to trial. Rosalinda spoke with the brother ( priest) at the school pipe attended and they vouched for her. Earlier Igor had told Rudolph that Rosa was doing nothing for Clara luz so he pretty much fired Rosa. Guess she figured she needed to do something or she would lose Rudolph. ( This whole lawyer falling for Rudolph at first site is just stupid unless she has been a closet groupy of his for years).

I didn't understand Lichita looking at Olivers hand. Can she tell it's not large enough to leave the size bruise Chofis got?

Chano keeps putting Fede on speaker to prove to Lichita that it's not some other woman. She has her doubts about his fidelity while they were apart. Fede is yelling at Chano that he lied about getting a vasectomy. He better not tell Tino. The baby is Chano's.

Thank you for noting Rosalinda only managed to get Clara Luz free until the trial. Yes, Rosalinda being immediately "in love" with Rudolf certainly makes no sense. You might well be right in that she is an obsessed groupie! Great theory.

I really appreciate that you were also puzzled by Lichita looking at Oliver's hand. I thought I missed something. I don't know what she thought she would see!

Fed telling the world Chano didn't get a vasectomy and "he better not tell Tino" was surreal wasn't it? Well the truth is out there and now all we need to do is sit and wait for the fallout.

Ofelia tells Leo that Paula is a cruel, Machiavellian woman. She was the one who took them shopping and made them spend all that money back then. And she surely did something to Cecilia’s painting and she was the one who played the video during the launch party. And gave Luis that medicine.
Leo asks about Paula’s past. Ofelia has no actual proof about that, she only knows what Mateo told her. She thinks Leo could go ask Saul for more information, but she doesn’t think he should torture himself any longer. Leo is hurt, how could he never see how Paula truly was?
Ofelia says some people are like this. He’s a good guy, his only mistake was falling for this woman that is not worthy of him. But he has his entire life in front of him, he can start over. Look at her, she’s had so many problems and yet, here she is. She does have a favor to ask from him: protect Mar, especially from Paula. She has made many mistakes, but she could never bear it if something happened to her daughters.
He reassures her, touches her shoulder in compassion and leaves.

Luis and Nick talk about Art eventually forgiving his brother. Nick whines about never falling in love before, why does it have to be his brother’s girl? Luis says love is like this, it doesn’t ask permission. But Art is a good man and Val is a good woman, they will find a way to get over this.
Hmmm, Luis is definitely very understanding about this whole thing. I wonder what his reaction would be if all of this didn’t come out three days before the finale. I feel robbed! Art screeched for a bit, but that’s not enough drama for me.

Oh, wait, I spoke too soon. I forgot about Camila.
She intercepts Val in the street and starts screaming at her and slapps her because she is playing with her two brothers. How long does she plan to hurt them? Val says she and Art are over because of all the problems between their families and she never meant any harm. And Nick is not to blame in any of this. Camila asks her to stay away from her brothers.

Mar is home alone and speaking to her baby. She misses living with her sister and mom, she never felt this alone back then. Paula comes to ask what her mother is doing talking with Mateo. But Mar doesn’t want to talk to Paula, she is sure her mother will take care of her. Paula gets aggressive and threatens Mar – Ofelia won’t do anything against her, because they already settled their problems. She paid her off.
Mar can’t believe this, Paula laughs in her face. And she better not open her mouth, either, something might happen to her little bastard.

Val is sharing her sorrows with Amparo, who thinks she should focus on her feelings for now. It’s not to late to be happy with the man she truly loves. So who will it be?
I don’t understand why this is even an issue, it’s not like Art asked her to choose. He screamed and called her names and sent her packing.
Amparo thinks she should stay close to her family now, but Val doesn’t feel like talking to her mother, she wouldn’t get the support she needs.

Jacinto and Susana tell Juan about Camila’s visit and the gifts she brought. Susana especially thinks Juan should talk to her, she is obviously still hurting. How is this idiot so sympathetic to a silly girl who has lied to them and hurt her precious son, but she thinks Mar is the Devil?

Amparo tells Ofelia Val is hurting because she’s in love with both brothers. Ofelia blames Nick, he kept looking for her. When she was young, she warned her daughter about not falling in love. Amparo thinks that love is beautiful. Ofelia is sure Val won’t want to talk to her but don’t worry, nobody dies from love.

Nick and Michele talk about Val having to decide. In the meantime, they have tickets to go to Boston. Mich offers her support if Val doesn’t choose him. She could really help him out… and they kiss. He is a very willing participant at first, but then pushes her gently, says he doesn’t want to hurt her. Mich says she is willing to wait, see how things turn out with Val. And he can always count on her. Nick is very thankful for her help.

Luis and Mar talk about the triangle of the day. How will he ever get Art and Nick to talk again? Mar says Val stepped away from the company and she thinks she should leave the mansion. Luis thinks it’s not necessary, but Mar insists this could help him get his family back on track. Luis doesn’t agree, she suffered just as much because of them. Mar does know that she will always be able to count on him.

Juan calls Camila, can they meet, he’d like to talk. She is more than willing, she thinks they’re getting back together.
She is very happy to see him. Juan asks about her health, she says she is doing better, time will help her heal fully. Juan wants to put it all behind them… he wants a divorce.
Camila asks for some time, but Juan is certain they are over. Maybe they can become friends in time. Camila asks if this is about Mar and Juan admits that he still loves her. He will never forget her. Sorry, I tried, but I can’t.
Camila leaves in a huff. Good riddance.

Mar comes to see Ofelia. She sees the house looks pretty, how did she do it, where did she get the money? Her savings? Or was it the money Paula gave her? How dare she? Will her obsession with money never be over? Ofelia says she only accepted the money at first, but then she gave it back. Mar doesn’t believe her, how else could she have been able to fix the house? She no longer trusts her. They are done.
Mar leaves, with Ofelia following her and begging. But Mar is very aggressive as she goes, all the neighbors see Ofelia begg on her knees. Susana is happy, she thinks Ofelia deserves to lose her daughter’s love. The other vecinas are more sympathetic.

Rocio calls Val, they need to talk about Art. Val still cares about him, but she doesn’t want to talk to Rocio. The woman insists, they need to talk one last time.
They meet in the street in front of Val’s building. Rocio tells her she was the one to spill about the kiss with Nick. They betrayed her son! Because Arturo is her son. He made a DNA test to prove it. And they have been together ever since. Val asks why she would hurt him like that? Is this why she wanted her son back, to make him suffer? And Art will always be a Portilla regardless. Rocio says she is just like her mother, but Val shuts her up. Rocio insists Ofelia has been using her all this time, they’ve even become allies against the Portillas. Val doesn’t believe her, so she leaves.
Nick sees them talk and as soon as Rocio is alone, he asks her what she wants. She calls him names for what he’s done to Art. Who does she think she is, Nick wonders. Stay away from us. Rocio thinks it’s time he knew the truth. But Nick doesn’t want to hear her, his aunt warned him she was insane. Rocio blames his father and mother, so Nick gets mad. She better stay away from all of them. Rocio says something that makes no sense to Nick, that Art should stay away from the Portillas.

Paula tries to reach Leo, who is not calling her back. She gets worried. She decides to take action. She starts packing a suitcase.

Ofelia is sad, playing with the toy she bought for her grandbaby. She begs God to help her with her daughters. She can’t live without them.

Mar talks to her baby, she is so disappointed in her mother. They are better off without her, nobody will ever tell her baby how to be or who to love. And she will work and make sure that they have everything they need.

Camila goes to cry on Priscila’s shoulder about Juan asking for a divorce. Priscila thinks it’s probably for the better, she deserves someone who truly loves her. But Camila won’t hear of it, she luuuvs Juan.

Paula has packed a bag and is about to leave. Luis asks where she is going so she lies about Leo asking her to join him. Where to? She is vague about it, she is only supporting her husband. Luis is trying to keep her in the house, maybe she should wait for him. Leo never told him he was going to ask Paula to join him. What is she hiding?
Paula accuses Luis of treating Leo badly, but Luis thinks she is to blame for ruining Leo’s life. She only manipulated him and tried to have him do things her way. He hopes Leo will be able to see the light of day, but first he needs to get rid of her.
Paula is tired of always being blamed for everything.
Leo arrives just then and says that yeah, he and Paula planned to leave together. He is all smiles, says he has prepared something special for her.

Priscila called Art to come for Camila. They are even holding hands as Priscila worries about him, also. Camila arrives, whines some more about her divorce. Art thinks it’s for the better, but Camila is afraid she will lose everything. She always thought her marriage would last a lifetime. Besides, when Juan finds out Mar’s baby is his, he will want to be with her.

Paula and Leo are leaving, but there a lot of cops in front of the house. Leo says it’s time to start a new life, but not together. The cops are coming for her, she will have to pay for everything that she’s done. Paula starts to beg Leo, falls to her knees and grabs his leg. He is unmoved.

I would be sad for Cami if she was a better person but... still Juan reaching out to her was a bad idea and if Susana had any sense at all she wouldn't have encouraged it! I'm guessing so close to the finale and no anvils in sight for some of these toxic mothers means they aren't coming and I'm disappointed!!! They don't deserve to be let off the hook!!!

I was thinking I would hate to be caught between two brothers, especially two brothers who are close to each other. Because ultimately when you choose one, you aren't just hurting the other, you are also asking the one you choose to be a party to hurting the other. It's not malicious but it's still a lot... I don't know how a relationship survives and thrives in that. Maybe if the brothers weren't close.

Speaking of toxic mothers who don't deserve to go to get away with everything, all of the sudden Ofelia thinks Leo is a good man who just married the wrong person?? Didn't she think all the Portillo's were awful people who couldn't be trusted like 45 minutes ago? In fact, didn't she think everyone in the entire world was shade and she was the only person you could trust? ONLY her???

Darcy, since Nick spent all those years away getting his degrees, I think Masters or higher was mentioned, then I doubt they are as close as this show has made them appear.. did anyone else notice the poll on the bottom of the screen. Which brother do you want Val to pick with a QR code. I wonder if 2 endings were filmed.

Yay, the outside of the Casita got a makeover also. In green too. Mar is getting like Juan in not wanting to listen as she didn't allow Ofelia to talk. Those bloody knees were so fake looking, and the blood should have turned from bright red to more brown in the time she was moping on the couch I think.

I really didn't think Michelle was that into Nick since she was all about helping him win Val. Both of them trying to facilitate a relationship with other people than themselves makes them both either not as in love as they let on, or 2 people afraid of love.

3 more episodes. Wonder what follows. I'm hoping someone does a post about upcoming shows this weekend. Adriana do you want to do the honors for the finale? You have a way with words I wish I had!

Paula clinging to Leo’s leg said it all!

Kat, it does seem that Michelle and Nick seemed more friends than anything else. If they were truly novios, she would have reacted very differently to the Valeria situation from the start rather than a supportive friend. Bizarre!

I read somewhere online that, according to Oka Giner, there were three endings filmed and even the actors didn’t know which one was finally chosen.

Justice has come for Paula without mercy - as it should. I really liked the scene with Leo and Ofelia, the actor (Juan) conveyed all of the swirling emotions he was feeling perfectly. I wish a happy ending for him...

I'm very afraid for Mar, even though Paula is gone...

I was happy to see Juan end it with Cam, once and for all. She needs to grow up and learn humility and tranquility. Susana? I just can't.

Darcy, your points about having to choose one brother and the repercussions were well made. If 3 endings were filmed, I would imagine that the third option might be that Val doesn't choose either of the bros which seems unlikely. If she does choose Art, Nick has a lovely consolation prize. If she chooses Nick, that would leave Art with Pris. That will never do.

Looks like the writers decided to keep all the angst, yelling , and turmoil going to the very end . Is the happy happy joy joy being seed saved for the very last episode ???

I must say that the actress playing Paula has done an outstanding job of portraying this cold, selfish, shallow, agressive, greedy, calculating character . She held her own in all her scenes with the amazing Maria Sortie (O) and fabulous Cantu ( Luis). Brava.

I must comment on O 's casita makeover. It reminded me of one of my favorite old movies " Max Dugan Returns." Also, my mother painted my bedroom that color green when I was a teen....ugh.

Thanks Diana, great recap. Kat, thanks for your added details. Count me in as not understanding Lichita looking at Oliver’s hand. I don’t think a hand bruises from grabbing someone hard enough to leave marks. And I think she had bruises, not hand prints on her arm. But I really didn’t understand any of the conversation between the two moms. I just know Oliver denied hurting Chofis.
Checo asked Chofis if Yeni is a doctor, so I guess it was medicine she gave her. He wants to take her to the clinic.

I loved the twin telling Tino all about the herb. She told him the same stuff Damaso told Fed. I hope Tino tells Aide that Damaso knew all along he couldn’t have been the father of Fed’s baby.

When Aide asked, her twins said Damaso was cool and they’d be ok with her being with him. Which is crazy because I feel like she figured out he was the twins father. But maybe she hasn’t and only Tino has.

Thanks Adriana, that was fantastic. I was hoping Leo would have everyone at dinner and then confront Paula and have her arrested. But that’s minor. I really expect Val to end up with Nick and will be disappointed if she’s with Arturo. He’s been too quick to judge her and doesn’t deserve her love.

I can’t remember what Arturo said when he was comforting Camila. Something about not being able to force someone to love you. Priscilla looked pretty pensive when he said that. I wonder if she’s going to become nice!

Only three episodes and lots to resolve. I guess the most evil one is locked up and the others are just self-centered, which isn’t a crime. Well, I consider Rocio evil too. I don’t know how she’ll end up. Susana just is not nice, maybe she can become a maid for the Portillo and take care of Camila! I would like most of the females to be taught a lesson.

The only thing I can figure is maybe a ring left s mark on Chofis. Dameso can claim that Fede and Tino were in a relationship so they could have done it other times than the retreat. Plausible deniability.

If she was certain, wouldn't she have called him on it? I can only think the writers just wanted to drag this out a bit.

I agree that Chofis definitely looked bruised...like you, I didn't understand any of the conversations between the two mothers.

Damaso is a snake and yes, needs to be exposed for exactly who he is.

Watched last night. Don't remember a lot but will mention a few things.
* Omar did not run Adrian down, another car in the car park cut off his attempt. Then Susy started screaming in agony so he went back to her. She is 6 months along and things don't look good for the baby. I think she may be in labor.
*Luci did listen to everything that FF had to say but she is still having a hard time believing any of it she thinks FF was pursuing her to get close to the case, but he tells her it was just unlucky coincidence that she does believe.
* Mateo expels Daniel from the school for fighting with Adrian. No repercussion for Adrian of course.
* Luci discover Natalia knows about the investigation into Adrian and is mad. Chofis also is mad. She may have kicked her out of the hostel. I don't remember.
* FF shares with Victoria about the blood found at the garage and how Omar seems to know the guy is dead.
* Pato and his mom get into a big argument about his homosexuality. He was mad at her for banning Luci from their home.
* The police chief is a good guy. He will be working with FF to find the truth but he thinks someone is pulling the strings. He may have mentioned it was Francisco.
* Karina is trying to put out the Pato fire with his drugged dancing. Ines is irate with her and Enrique. She and Leonardo meet for lunch. Not sure anything earth shattering was discussed.

Not much to add. I’m feeling overwhelmed with the other two novelas winding up!

I was relieved Omar wasn’t able to run over Adrian. His prayers were poignant, stopping his fury. But, if baby doesn’t make it…!

Ines is really angry, first at Pato snd then at Karina. The scene of the two women yelling and Enrique looking stricken was very strong. Where will that lead? .

I am relieved the police chief looks like a good guy.

Memo is scary. The actor is doing a great job.

I hope the baby survives. The parents need the hope of their late son’s child. If not, things will really darken for Elena and Omar.

Babachita, it would almost be a relief for Omar to be caught. He did kill Erik, but it was accidental when they were fighting. The guilt is eating him up, perhaps Roberto can swing a deal for him if he testifies against Enrique or German, we know they were the ones behind him going after Eric.

Which 2 other shows are you watching, papas and Las hijas, or are you watching la Jefa? I wanted to watch it for the female protagonista as I liked her in Juana la virgin, but the violence is a turn off for me so I skipped that one. I'm trying to keep up with Amor Amargo in the daytime slot also. So many duplicate names used when you watch 4 shows!

Thanks, Kat, for the recap. I usually have to get up at 6:30 but I didn’t tonight so I also watched it last night. So not sure of much. I think Natalia also mentioned the investigation with Luciana’s parents. Chofis told her to leave. She told them she was an investigative reporter but they were still mad. She needs to explain she’s trying to prove Luciana’s parents didn’t do it. I hope they let her explain!

Pato’s mom told him she would have ended the pregnancy if she’d know he would be like that. They strikes me as unforgivable on her part. I feel so bad for Pato.

Memo approaches his two thugs. He is mad that they posted the video of Pato. He seems to be worried about Pato and his family’s business. They end up beating up Memo.

Liz, I totally missed Ines wishing Pato had never been born. What a cruel mother. I didn't mind Memo getting a beating. He deserves some bad things happening to him. I should write some crib notes as I watch tonight so I have something to jog my memory. I try to do character by character in my head and what happened, if there is a 15 hour lag time I then start mixing up episodes and forget what happened when, lol.

Not sure when I'll post tonight's episode. Half day for the kindergartner tomorrow so my afternoon will be entertaining him during 2 year olds Nap.
