Caray, Caray!

PAPAS #71 Part 1

Previously: After her scare, “miraculously” Fed appears to be fine. The doctor, (whether or not he is bought and paid for remains to be seen) urges rest and no stress.

Fed cruelly tells the children that she is pregnant with Tino’s child! Tino shame facedly tells them that this is not the child’s fault. Emi is (understandably) very upset. Heartbroken Aidé will secure a loan from Felipe and she and the children will be moving out.

Clara Luz blows off an appointment with Rosalinda, then meets with a threatening Guzmán. She texts Igor that Guzmán knows she has Pipe. Later, Igor is fired, literally thrown out by Guzmán.

Dámaso provides a DNA test result to Aide; Guzmán is not the twins’ father. She is overcome with relief yet naturally wonders, if not him, then who??

Facundo ends up not selling his shares to Guzmán.

Chofis has a secret which has yet to be revealed.

Guzmán interrupts the viewfam presentation, arriving with two policemen.

We open with Guzmán telling everyone that the purportedly family friendly platform is responsible for the kidnapping of his sobrino, calling the guilty party “criminal”. Rudolf asks for the papers as the press move in like vultures. The police leave to search the house as Rudolf texts Rosalinda.

Chofis is panicking as she talks with Yeni.

Tino takes the papers and slaps Guzmán in the chest with them. The policemen go upstairs. Rosalinda comes in and pinches Rudolf’s cheek saying it will be OK. The police come down; they’ve found no one or nothing. Guzmán is livid insisting Clara Luz took his nephew. We next see Clara Luz and Pipe walking through the park. She engages him in a game and tells him to be calm. The two hug and we see they are meeting Igor. She apologizes for being late. Igor hands her what seems to be an incriminating USB as Pipe plays.

The police double check but find nothing. Guzmán is mouthing off again when Rosalinda confronts him. Who are you he asks; she puts him in his place as the police leave.

Fer has Chano on the phone as he salutes. He spills major hot tea; Guzmán fired his own brother - Igor! Fed seemed shocked to learn they are brothers and quickly hangs up, making a face.

Guzmán is still hanging around; Tino tells him to leave but he starts yelling yet again. Tino hits him as Dámaso grabs Tino from behind as Tino yells not to touch him. Guzmán and his bloody lip sneer nastily.

PAPAS #71 Part 2

Clara Luz gets a text and drops the phone. She now knows Guzmán showed up with the intention of having her arrested.

Chano surprises Lichita at work but she is worried about how difficult Guzmán is making things for her and pushes him away. Facundo strolls in and everyone stares at him; he looks very uncomfortable and soon slinks away.

Tino smoothly asks everyone to take their seats. Don Jorge gives a heartfelt speech and seems to save the day.

Clara Luz, Rudolf, Igor and Rosalinda meet and brainstorm. Rudolf holds Clara Luz’ hand, She announces she is going to turn herself in much to Igor’s surprise. Clara Luz laments all who will be affected. Rudolf tries to change her mind, telling her Pipe (playing in the background at another table) is a smart boy. Rosalinda does not want Clara Luz to deviate from the plan. Pipe comes over and puts his arms around his parents.

Guzmán and El Calacas talk.

Later, the family gathers, Dámaso’s arms around Aidé; more namaste garbage. He kisses Aidé. Don Jorge is thanked by Tino as everyone gathers in a circle as Aidé walks Don out (he says something to her; is it important?). Tino gives a pep talk about family. Aidé then drops the bombshell that she, Uli, Circe and Scarlet will be moving. To say they are not happy is an understatement, Circe in particular.

Poor Emi is trying to tell Tino how he feels about Fed as she texts him she needs him.

Circe complains to Checo about her mother making them move; she calls her ex-tia (Fed) a witch (no argument here!) Checo tells her he loves her. She gets upset and he hugs her trying to get her to calm down.

Dámaso and Aidé have coffee. They talk about Tino and how important he is in her kids’ lives. He says something is toxic (Tino?) He says something about Tino and Maxiclick.

Aidé and Tino try and comfort Rudolf as he frets about Clara Luz. The doorbell rings and two people arrive; Tino makes the introductions which I didn’t get.

Chofis and Oliver are texting, professing their love. Then, Chofis starts reading a series of postings.

Tino and Fed have another argument. When she tells him to leave he does as her mouth is agape.

Chano, Lichita, Dámaso and Aidé meet. I believe she talks about who the possible father of her child could be. Lichita gets upset at something that was said, calling Chano a macho brute.

PAPAS #71 Part 3 of 3

Chofis texts one of the posters, Corina, asking if she and Oliver are novios? I believe she says Oliver gave her an STD!!

Circe, Gina and Lorena gather; Circe has a revenge plan against Facundo. They pile their hands on top of each other’s as they start posting silly, embarrassing pictures of Facundo.

Later, with the police standing in front of him, Facundo does a live stream proclaiming his innocence.

Checo tells Lichita and Chano Fed is expecting a baby. Lichita leans forward eyes wide as saucers. Chano gulps…

Tino shows up at Facundo’s where things quickly escalate into a shouting match. Aidé has to hold Tino back from hitting Facundo.

Rosalinda and Clara Luz are at the police station. She clasps Clara Luz’s hands in supposed support. What is Rosalinda’s game?? Clara Luz starts talking to the officer…

Guzmán (along with the police) bursts into Silvana’s. Rudolf is there with Pipe, in plain sight. They are cornered.

Tino and Aidé lament Uli’s situation as Fed texts him yet again. Aidé barely conceals her annoyance, telling him to take the call. Tino tells Fed he is busy; is she all right? She is furious at being put off. I’m hazarding a guess here but believe she threatens to go to the clinic and get an abortion.

Fast and furious dialogue tonight. I was honestly grasping at straws most of the time. While I wish it were different, I can’t convey what I don’t understand. Kindly clarify and/or correct; your comments are always greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dameso wants aide to ranch off with him and make another platform. I'm not sure if this is when he talks about her and the kids moving in with him. I've forgotten what don Jorge said, probably more seer mumbo jumbo.

The 2 people that arrived are new assistants . Seemed a waste introducing new characters this late in the show, but I guess it is a way of demonstrating that viewfam is becoming successful.
I also was confused about why Chano and Lichita argued. Aide wants their input on the night she got pregnant, what did they see. Since Checo is 2 years older than Circe Lichita must have been in school with a baby on her hip. I'm guessing Chano has always been a hound dog.

Chofis has found a page where people from her area ( or school) post about their first time and with whom. Ever other entry said it was with Oliver. Gee all that practice and he did nothing for Chofis? His m.o. is to say he loves the girl and wants his first time to be with her without protection of course So it looks like he probably gave her an STD.

And once again I wonder how much is being taught at their school. The 3 girls had a lot of free time to make stupid Facundo videos.

Yup, Fede wants Tino at her neck and call. If he won't step up she'll terminate. Chano is definitely in the baby daddy running. He looks worried.

Oliver being a serial cheater was a sad revelation; him giving Chofis an STD even more brutal. Poor Chofis!

Loved "Since Checo is 2 years older than Circe Lichita must have been in school with a baby on her hip. I'm guessing Chano has always been a hound dog". Just great!

Thank you for explaining "Aide wants their input on the night she got pregnant, what did they see". Was it just me or did Lichita seem upset during this discussion?? Actually, Chano seemed a bit jumpy himself. I'm still thinking Dam is the father because who else could it be? We are running out of episodes so it has to come out soon!

Las hijas #75 part 1

So Mar tells Val she knows that Arturo and Nick aren't blood brothers. Val thinks Rocio got to her, but it was O which sets Val off, AGAIN. Mar talked to Luis about it because he would be the one to know. He confirmed that his son ( not named) is Rocio's but things aren't as they seem. Val can't believe it.
Michelle is there to throw dust in the eyes of Val and company that he has another love interest. She thinks he should tell the truth though for his own sake.
Rocio and Arturo are eating lunch at her house. She has a box of things she wants to show him from when she was pregnant, maybe photos of his dad, proof she knew he.was her son in the way of the newspaper clippings of him. He asks to wait while he is eating but looks like he'd rather be elsewhere.

Back to Val and Mar with Val complaining about the awful relationship she has with mama. She has never supported me, blah blah. Have I mentioned I really don't like this character? Mar says I hope you won't regret your relationship with her some day.
Rocio wants to know all about her son. He doesn't know where to begin. Since discovering his parentage his whole perspective has changed. He mentions Val. Rocio is glad he broke up with her. O is a dangerous woman and the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. Arturo does defend Val saying she is different.
Nick and Michelle are drinking wine, again, in his apartment. Knocking on the door brings Arturo. He knows Michelle from the past and greets her warmly . He gets to have some wine too.
O and Mar talk at the mansion. O can't believe Val is going to work without pay ( I'm thinking the apartment is a nice perk so it isn't totally a freebie). Mar says I trust Val knows what she is doing. O hopes so. O is waiting for Luis to return so she can leave Mar in safe hands. Mar wonders where he is, it's late. That's because he is bringing Cami back home. Sweet Mar reaches for her hand and tells her how happy she is back, this is her home. Cami pulls away and says I know. Luis doesn't expect them to be friends, but they need to respect each other and get along for the good of all. Mar agrees with a smile, Cami begrudgingly. O mutters with
how peaceful they were in this house . Luis says what did you say. O says nothing but the truth. Cami asks dad to go with her to her room. O tells Mar, I don't like this at all
Michelle last saw Arturo at his graduation in December. He asks how long are you staying, she says that depends on Nick. She excuses herself to do some work but advises Nick to talk to Arturo about you know what. Whatever happens remember your great love for each other. Arturo says whatever happens? What do you have to tell me.
Mar wonders what could have happened with Juan. O is mad the first thing she thinks about us that bum. Mar just wonders. O says we'll find out.

Luis comforts Cami. She thanks him. Luis leaves her room and then Paula comes in thinking it's where Mar is, which makes no sense. She says oh hi Cami, what are you doing here. But Paula is glad to hear she is back. Cami says I'm only here to rid this house of Mar and Señora Garcia. What do you say we work together. Paula is thrilled. Count me in as they shake on it.

Nick tris to change the subject asking how is Arturo doing. I've had one of the worst days of my life Art says. Nick asks, is it about Val? In part. And something else I'm trying to resolve, but don't worry about me. What is it you wanted to talk about. Nick says it's about Valeria. Art shuts him up, I don't want to talk about her at all, I won't forgive her I don't want you to fix things between us, why won't you listen to me.
Juan is going to work. Jacinto hitches a ride. He doesn't want Juan running off to see Mar. Juan says I listened to you when it was Cami and I forming a family, but that is over. Mar is the love of my life.
Mar gives Luis a peck on the cheek as he leaves for work. Cami comes down the stairs. I'm only here to recover from losing my baby and ridding this house of your presence. Don't even think about getting back with Juan. Mar says you only marry him for spite. You knew we were in love. Cami tells her she and Juan fell in love at first sight. Mar goes upstairs in tears as o walks in. She asks Cami, did you enjoy that?
Michi and Nick are eating breakfast. She asks if he spoke with Arturo. He says I tried but he wouldn't let me. She pesters him, you need to tell him, you deserve to be happy.
The doorbell rings. Leo this time. He needs to talk to Nick.
Cami and o square off. O will protect her daughter. Also, Mar and Juan have a much stronger love than Cami with him. The baby she is expecting is Juan's. That shuts Cami up.
Meanwhile Leo is begging for a job, despite all the wrongs he has committed, with Nick. He has to pay his way now that dad fired him. Nick is shocked.
Cami can't believe what she is hearing. O goes on to tell her, and your dad knows all about it before they married.
Nick tells Leo you betrayed us. I'll have to talk to Arturo, you are our brother. But if we do hire you, Paula will have nothing to do with it. Leo agrees
Michi talks with Val in the apartment foyer. Michelle determines that, yes Val is interested in Nick since she wants Michelle to treat him right. He has a heart of gold.
Leo is hired. Arturo tells him no more secret recordings as they shake on it.
O and Mar talk. She wants Mar to look nice tonight, she is inviting someone to dine and she has a plan. ( Will it be Juan or Mateo that is the dinner guest?)
Since when is a model involved in ad campaigns. The three brothers and she ate brainstorming. Leo apologized to her and she says if your brothers are ok with you,bits none of my business. Nick and her theme song plays.
Mateo brings evidence against Paula to Rocio. It's up to her to somehow get it into Leo's hands. Since she has found her son she decides she won't help him. He says we had a pact. But she is out ( isn't this what she accused O of doing to her?) will he bring the info to O. One can hope.
Jacinto has come to see Luis. He is aggravated but agrees to see him. Jacinto is very upset with Cami and the way she hid the ectopic pregnancy from them and didn't take the med to terminate the pregnancy. This is all news to Luis.

Leo tells Paula he got a job. She laughs at his new position. Talk to your dad and beg for your old job back. She ridicules him, etc. all he wants is a little support from her, which she never gives. He yells her, I don't need anything from you and stalks off.

Cami visits Priscilla complaining about Mar having Juan's baby. Priscilla says he's not worth it. Out goal needs to be getting rid of those Garcia women.
O catches Leo in the hallway of the mansion. She says I don't know you well, but that wife of yours is a bad person. She keeps so many secrets, how can you trust her? Like that painting of your mother's, she did it. I would never have done something so stupid, she did it to get rid of me. What else could she be capable of doing? You need to see the truth about her or the one that will be hurt is you.
Michi tells Nick she spoke with Val, no not about how you feel about her. But I learned she certainly cares for you.
Luis knocks on Cami's door but she isn't home. Mar tells him she left a while ago. Is everything ok. Luis tells her what Jacinto revealed. Mar is shocked. Poor Juan.
Arturo visits Rocio outside her house. She wants him to go with her to visit his father's grave. She mentions breakfast with his girlfriend. Priscilla. He says I'm not in any relationship. Val lied to me and I will never forgive her.
Back at the mansion the family is assembled for dinner ( no Cami or Arturo). They wonder where I is. Mar says I doubt she will be late. On queue she arrives with a friend. Mateo. Paula recognizes him. He says it's a pleasure to meet everyone and he especially would like to get to know Leo. Paula chokes on her water
I guess the apartment building has an exercise area on the roof or something. Val is breathing heavily after a workout. She gazes over the city. Nick arrives. They talk, she tells him he tries to control everyone. What's with Michelle, I guess that is why you were going to Boston. He decides talking isn't working so he grabs her and kisses her, which earns him a slap in the face. What are you doing. He says fine and starts to walk away, she grabs him this time and lip locks ensue.

Kat, thank you for another excellent recap.

Now that Nick and Valeria's ardor has finally sparked a flame, will it be happily ever after? I'm voting yes, particularly after Arturo claimed (again) he'd never forgive Val. Give it up I say, clearly peeved.

"Mar wonders what could have happened with Juan. O is mad the first thing she thinks about us that bum" did surprise me. So those two hugs Ofelia gave Juan meant nothing and she's back to her hatred? I also can't believe she told Camila Juan is the father of Mar's baby. Surely she realized Camila will really be out for blood?? Ofelia doesn't live there any longer and can't protect her. Now Mar is alone with the two vipers.

Camila should have told Juan about the ectopic pregnancy, but either way, she lost the baby. I thought Juan's parents reaction was overly harsh and quite unsympathetic. Further, I was surprised and dismayed Jacinto took it upon himself to visit Luis and reveal the whole story.

I loved Paula squirming when she saw Mateo. The beginning of the end.

Jarifa, thanks for copying it to this page! The downside to not using a computer for my work. It's is especially annoying when my comments un long and 8 either have to go back and edit or delete the last few paragraphs and retype them in a new comment. I can generally figure a comment needs to be started at 20 minute intervals ( with commercials).

So I have come up the conclusion the real love story in this show is Mar and Juan. I just can't like Val. I think Susana will come around when she knows a grandbaby is involved. And Arturo deserves Priscilla. I'm with the others thinking Arturo is not little boy lost and found. Hopefully Leo can be redeemed once his witch of a wife is out of the picture.

Diana, I actually looked up the word O used, 'ese vago'. I figured it meant vagabond, but my dictionary suggested bum so I went with that. I thought the same thing, so much for those hugs. Cami is so cruel to Mar I can't feel sympathy for her. I've had a miscarriages so I know it is a sad time, but she is young and as long as her reckless endangerment of her reproductive organs leads to 2 damaged fallopian tubes, she can try again with a better match for herself.

Yes, way back when if I remember correctly, Val was told that her apartment wasn't completely free. She was going to pay something for it out of her pay.

Diana, I totally agree with: "I also can't believe she told Camila Juan is the father of Mar's baby." Okay, so how did Ofelia think that telling Cami that Mar's baby is Juan's was a good idea? It shut Cami up in the minute but what about the consequences for Mar? Luis? Uh, was that her information to tell??? And the answer is NO! Any sympathy I might have had for Ofelia is officially gone.

Val grabbing Nick and reeling him back in for the KISS had a certain Hollywood note to it. Slap to kiss: I liked it.

BTW, whoever planned the wardrobe for this novela and thought that Nick's brown suit was attractive was mistaken. Yuk! His brown shoes only made it worse.

Jarifa, I agree about the wardrobe department. Luis is the best dressed of the men. I'm not liking Arturo in his pastels either, though I am sure that is to make him appear young and hip, neither of which he pulls off very well, imo. If only ...the sons were in their 30s, Nick had been at Harvard getting a doctorate, Cami was an oops baby, or 4th time the charm to get a girl, and Luis and Cecilia had been celebrating their 35th and not 25th anniversary. See, that was so easy to fix. Can I start writing Telenovelas, or at least point out the incongruity of the plots to the writers?

Kat, "Can I start writing Telenovelas,. . ." I have had that idea myself! Would not that be fun? Anyway, no, Art does not pull off "young and hip" very well. I agree that it would be a good idea if the age of the actors actually matched the characters they are supposed to be playing. Guess it must be a novel idea to the novela powers that be since it never changes.

Kat, yes, I think Mar and Juan have always been the love story and the heart of this; imperfect as Juan is. I'm really worried for Mar but I have faith the writers won't let anything happen to her. Right??? Gulp.

I'm feeling better, so I checked out the episode this morning and OMG! The kiss!
The conversation between Val and Nick didn't make much sense to me, but it did lead to Nick finally taking a risk and Val immediately reavealing her true feelings by kissing him back. Nice grab, I'd like to have her courage in real life... or his for that matter.
When I was younger I never dared to just go for it and kiss my crush... what would he say of me??

Anyway, Ofelia telling Camila about Mar's baby served what purpose? No clue! She is such a despicable little rich girl, I really can't stand her.

I think I'm in the minority, but I do like Val. She has her rough edges for sure, and I do find her tantrums tiring, but in a cast full of selfish, mean, arrogant and horrible characters she is one of the very few that seems to be a decent person overall. She has endless issues with her mom, but we've seen that she's been given endless reason to have issues we mommy. She's had trouble trusting Art - but Art hasn't been a saint and O is certainly not the poster child for teaching anyone how to treat anyone how to trust anyone. But Val hasn't gone out of her way to be mean or nasty to anyone else that I can think of throughout our story. Even with Cami or Prissy or Paula - she may have defended herself or Mar when confronted but she didn't seek out opportunities to do harm. She hasn't been running around looking for schemes and lies and manipulations; she's tried to keep to her own business and do the best she could. Even when overwhelmed and unhappy at work, she treated the people teaching her to model well and was friendly with them. Susana has been nothing but horrible to Mar and her family, but Val never said boo to her except in self-defense. I don't know, she might not be Miss Congeniality, but I feel like Val is a good person and she means well unlike all the toxic characters she's surrounded by.

Who I don't like in this tell is all the mothers!!! This is a tale of toxic mothers if ever there was one!!! I mean we didn't see much of Cecelia, but we see the results. Susana is evil. Ofelia takes the cake and Rocio??? She's on day 2 as 'mommy' and she's already badmouthing Val unnecessarily twice!!! Eek! Ofelia telling Cami that Juan is the baby's dad is beyond out of line! That woman has no bounds and takes zero accountability for anything she does!!! I bet she STILL believes she was right to accuse Juan of kidnapping! Mar just goes back and forth between evils Ofelia to Paula to Ofelia. Granted Ofelia doesn't want to 'destroy' Mar, but she does want to control her.

The KISS!! That was hotter than I would have thought given the way the storyline meandered all this time, but I like it. The conversation before was interesting but I think Val was trying to say that Nic controlled others by choosing what he did or didn't say, like not telling her about Michelle. And Nic said there just aren't words for somethings - like being in love with your brother's girlfriend - but instead of saying that he kissed her.

I can't wait to see the aftermath of that!

Thanks so much for the recap, Diana, and Kat for details. You two make a great team. I can’t believe Fed wants Tino at her beck and call after she tortured his son. Does she think she’s going to win him over? I’d be worried if Fed was the mother of my child. Would the baby be safe with her? He should bring charges against her and have her put in jail. That way she can’t end the pregnancy and also can’t keep the baby. Plus he’s hurting Emi by even taking her calls.

I’m not surprised about Oliver. After forgetting condoms for the second time I knew something was up. All those girls need to let all their friends and classmates know exactly what he’s like. And I wonder if Chofis’ friend is some kind of pimp for Oliver. She sure pushed the need for Chofis to have sex.

Liz, I agree, that Yeni is a piece of work. And sending Fede to jail to protect the baby,that is likely not Tino's, is a great idea too. I still think it's Chano's. Definitely a character I have disliked in this show with all his machismo. Bugging his wife at work was totally inappropriate also. Flirt with her at your lunch break if you have to.

Any idea what was up with Calacas this episode. Quite a few scenes left me scratching my head last night.

I think we’ve now learned Rocio can’t be trusted. She backed out of her deal with Mateo and is badmouthing Ofelia after Ofelia was the one that brought her the toothbrush to help her discover who her son is. Then she badmouths Val who she hardly knows. She approached Val two or three times and Val was polite but not interested in helping her. Arturo should actually realize Val did the right thing by keeping Rocio’s thoughts to herself. I hope he gets more and more uncomfortable with Rocio. She’s coming on way too strong anyway.

I feel like Ofelia telling Camila about Mar’s baby was a big mistake. I can picture Camila deciding to get rid of Mar’s baby by pushing Mar down the stairs. Maybe Paula will double cross Camila. But Camila and Priscila are both capable of really hurting Mar and her baby.

I loved the romantic kiss. I agree with Darcy about Val. When the show started she was supporting the family. Her mother obviously favored Mar. And it seemed it was simply because of her beauty.

I think Juan and his parents were angry with Camila because she pretended there was going to be a baby when she knew it wasn’t going to happen. Then she blamed Mar. They felt betrayed, with good reason.

Kat, I haven’t understood any of the scenes with Calacas. I can’t figure out if he’s working with Guzman now, or has been the entire show. I’m worried that Clara Luz handed the IBS to that nutty lawyer. She definitely has no interest in helping Clara Luz. She wants her out of the way to clear a bath for her and Rudolf.

I keep wanting Felipe to return to save the day for Clara Luz out of love but just to have her be happy with Rudolph and Pipe.

I never understand what El Calacas says. But I understand Guzman even less!! I just mentioned they talked as I had zero idea what they were jabbering about.

Juegos #32
*Omar somehow turned the death of the guy in jail "partner" into him doing it I think so he's off the hook in Luci wondering why he said the guy is dead.
* Natalia wearing yellow dishwashing gloves but her hair flowing, searches Fabiola's ( I think) apartment. She conveniently ha a bobby pin in her hair, takes off a glove and opens a locked case she found under the bed. It is full of large denomination bills. She snaps a few photos of it.
*Enrique offers Pato a job being in charge of the family business. Hell think about it.
* Natalia, Manalo and Roberto meet at a restaurant to talk. I guess it wasn't Fabiola's place. The candidate keeping large amounts of cash on hand to pay bribes is mentioned so I don't know whose place it is, unless it is the guy that is locked up. They haven't found anything about the capital crecient case though. They will keep in touch, not by phone, and will continue to meet at this place, the owner is very discreet.
*German is trying to convince Pato to take the job in the family firm. Pato just wants to concentrate on Paul, the wedding and being happy.
*Natalia tells Roberto that Luci doesn't like being lied to, just like everyone else in the world. You should let her know you are working on the capital crecient case. He's off leaving her to pay the check.
*German and Enrique talk about Karina and Pedro ( is that someone who works on the campaign?) German gets a call from Omar.
Paul throws a hissy fit because Pato discussed the job with German before him. Pato needs to dump this guy. Pato walks away, Paul calls Memo.
*Mateo tells Daniel heis project lacks originality, or something. He walks away . Clara comes up to him and hugs him in comfort so that Alex can see. Adrian is stalking Alex carrying a flower wanting her to give him another chance. In the class Clara is sitting close to Daniel and putting the moves on him. She looks at Alex and says I hope she and Adrian get back together. Prof Mateo kicks them out of class for talking. She tries holding his hand, let's go to the cafeteria and talk about the project. He'd rather wait for Alex since they are a 3 person group. She says wait here for an hour! She drags him off by the hand with Alex staring sadly after them.
* Some sting operation is going on with the police. Joachin is not there, Victoria says he's not answer her calls or texts
*Omar is in a panic. I think he is afraid the murder will be found to have been caused by him. He talks about seeing the guy in prison but that luckily Luciana was able to calm him down. Small world, Enrique is not happy to know Luci knows Omar and Elena.
* Luci finds Adrian, still holding his wimpy 3 flower bouquet, at the college. She is worried about him. His psychiatrist and she talked ( I thought this was wrong and Adrian points out client patient confidentiality to her which she says no particulars were discussed) but that he felt Adrian was not opening up and telling the truth.
*Roberto and Joachin are at the office Joachin apologizes for not being available on the raid. He looks at some fancy watch he is wearing that catches Roberto's eye. ( Bertha paying him in gifts?) Joachin claims he always wanted one and he treated himself to the Rolex( I'm assuming, that's the only high end watch I can think of that might raise eyebrows).
* Luci tells Adrian he's changed since the Saldana accident. Adrian throws the bouquet over the balcony and tells her to go to the devil.
*Enrique and Bertha meet at a bar. She assures him Roberto has no access to the Saldana case so no need to worry. The interview with Omar, Elena and the vehicular manslaughter man was taped. Enrique asks about the other guy. He's at the morgue, unidentified. Enrique says it time for him to reappear. I'm not having a good feeling about Omar's future.
 

Juegos #32 part 2
Adrian is walking down a street in a drugged haze. He falls to the sidewalk. Perhaps it's actually detox cravings.
*Back to Bertha and Enrique. She isn't concerned about the dead guy. But if Fabiola had another copy of the tape she gave me, and she is alive, then your son and nephew are going to jail. I think she may arrange for Grenas ( is that the guy in jail) to perhaps suffer some fate in jail. Enrique wonders will this nightmare ever end
*Luci thinks Roberto is only looking into the CC case to get close to her and she is mad. He tries to warn her about Joachin, which she takes as jealousy. He tells her he loves her but she storms off.
*Pato finds Luci crying. She doesn't want to talk about it.
* Pedro makes an appearance. Don't think I've seen him before. Perhaps he is the guy Karina got a job with. German is not successful in threatening him with buried skeletons. Not sure what he is trying to do, but this is a mystery series of sorts so perhaps things are supposed to be obscure.
Some guy is helping a seizing Adrian on the sidewalk. Alex rushes up. I guess he had mumbled her name in his state and the guy found her number in his cell and called her.
Ines is giving a lecture or something. She asks for any questions and Leonardo stands. After the class he comes to talk with her and seems to flirt with her. Are there any good guys in this show? Another womanizer?
*Pato is bummed. He and Paul fought again. Luci asked, jealousy? No, just because I spoke with German about dad wanting me to be in charge of the business. Alex calls.
Elena Omar and Susy are at the shop. Elena needs to know how many rooms, 2 or 3, to rent from Chofis. Susy says I'm staying on my own. Omar then kinda proposed and Elena thinks it's a joke and laughs it off. That ship has sailed.
* Alex sends out an SOS to Luci and Pato. They arrive at the ER. Only 1 can stay with Adrian. He is ready to confess all to Luci when Ines shows up and asks Luci to leave. Alex is leaving the hospital when Enrique also arrives and gives her veiled threats about staying with Alex because of their shared experiences. He and Ines are semi chummy which shocks Luci. She figures Ines is staying because of the campaign and does not seem happy.
* Alex's dad doesn't know where she is when Daniel and Clara show up( him to work). Daniel calls Alex and she says she is with Adrian which is all he lets her say before hanging up. Clara tells him that's there way break up to make up...
* Ines has invited Roberto over. She says she got to talk to Grenas via ferret and Bertha. But something strange was said while they talked. He said the other guy won't ever pay because he is dead.

PAPAS #72 Part 1

Previously: Guzmán brings police reinforcements to the fanview gathering but nary a trace of Pipe can be found.

Aidé announces to the children that they are moving; they do not take this decree well. Dámaso wants Aidé to break away from the others and form a company with him; he also wants to have her and the children move in with him. Dámaso and Aidé meet with Lichita and Chano to see if they can recall anything that happened the night she became pregnant…

When Checo tells his parents Fer is pregnant, Lichita is impactada while Chano looks guilty as sin.

Word spreads to Fer and Chano that Guzmán fired his own brother – Igor!

Igor meets with Clara Luz and gives her a USB (I’m unsure if she gave it to Rosalinda). Rosalinda convinces an unsure Clara Luz to turn herself in (likely mostly so she can get her hands on Rudolf whom she openly covets).

Chofis gets a shock when she sees many others posted online that they were with Oliver!! He tells the girls he loves them, thus ensnaring his victims; he wants to be their first and as with Chofis, did not use protection. Chofis texts with Corina who says that Oliver gave her a STD! We highly suspect he has given Chofis one as well…

Guzmán and the police return to Silvana’s and unfortunately, this time, Pipe is there.

In the last scene, Tino is with Aidé when he reluctantly answers Fed’s call. He caves and leaves.

We open with a furious Fed furious telling Tino he’d best not ignore her; with that, she snarls that if he doesn’t get with the program, she threatens to terminate the pregnancy!

PAPAS #72 Part 2

Rudolf gives the arresting officer written proof that he is the father. Rosalinda comes in and introduces herself as Guzmán paces in the background. She repeats that Rudolf is Pipe’s father. Guzmán says Pipe is his sobrino, his son as he glares at Rosalinda with hostility. Rosalinda says Rudolf has legal rights. She says something about Clara Luz.

At Lichita’s, Chano is subdued which Checo calls him on; Chano brushes him off and then stands in the kitchen looking extremely guilty.

Back at Fed’s, Tino tells Fed he doesn’t want her to terminate the pregnancy. She mewls she doesn’t want to be alone. I think he asks her if she wants to/is ready to be a mother.

Rudolf tells Pipe he loves him as the official stares at them.

Dámaso shows up at Aidé’s.

At the Opulence gym (how appropriate) Facundo gets disparaging posts. He lives streams when one of the workers comes over and kicks him out. He takes his equipment, sulks and leaves.

Tino and Aidé have a long-drawn-out conversation when Chano comes in, waving hello to Fed. He gives her papers she must have asked for. Tino leaves and I think he asks Fed if she is pregnant and asks if it is Tino’s. I didn’t understand her answer.

Chofis texts Yeni she is sad and feels like a fool. Reading it, Yeni raises her eyebrows in exasperation (some friend, huh?) Lichita comes in but Chofis doesn’t turn around. Lichita strokes her daughter’s hair but when Chofis tells her she is nervous and Lichita asks her why, there is no answer. Lichita asks if she wants to be alone. (I yell at the screen saying no, she needs you to stay and gently coax her into talking – please don’t go!) Alas, she doesn’t hear me and leaves as Chofis dissolves in tears. Loathsome Guzmán texts her asking if she is all right.

In jail, Clara Luz laments to Rudolf that she is a criminal. He tries to comfort her; he kisses her hand as they hold hands through the bars. She says everything is her fault, she is stupid. Rudolf blames Guzmán and says Rosalinda will fix things. I love you he says.

Chofis agrees to see Guzmán the next day.

Igor shows up at Guzmán’s door; Igor asks about Pipe; you are a disgrace he tells him.

Las hijas #76 part 1

After grabbing Nico in for the kiss, she backs off, apologizes and runs away.

Mateo has a business proposal which intrigues Leo. The dinner table isn't the time or place though so they exchange phone numbers with Paula trying to prevent it. Luis and Mar leave the table, it's been a long day and they are going to retire. Paula drags Leo off with a similar excuse. Mateo and O toast each other.

Val runs to get apartment replaying the kiss.
Nick pounds on her door wanting to talk. She says she needs to be alone

Leo and Paula are in their room. She wants him to have nothing to do with any friend of Ofelia. He wants to keep his options open for work. Paula says your dad will want you to return. He says that won't happen, and perhaps it's for the best. Do you know this guy, is that why you are against me talking to him. Noo she insists. Then why. Because he's a friend of O. Promise me. Ok, fine. Let's go to sleep, I'm tired.

Nick goes back to his apartment. He yells much he's an idiot, he kissed Val and made a mess of things. She responded back. Mich thinks that is a good thing. Did you discuss Arturo. No. Other things may have been said but I didn't follow.

Cami and Arturo hug in the dining room in the morning. He's happy to see she is back home. Shell be ok in time, but she (and priss)are worried about him.

Luis and Mar talk as he gets ready for work (looking fine in his black suit, no ugly brown or pastels on him). He asks about Mateo (is Mar in on his plan). She says he's a friend of Mom's, I don't know him well. He then hopes Mar doesn't fight with Cami, she is suffering. Mar says if course, I understand she feels bad.

Mich is giving Nico a pep talk. He needs to let go and gain the love f his life and think of himself for a change. It's a thousand times better to. Speak than remain silent.

Paula deletes Mateo's number from Leo's phone. She asks to go with him. He says he's going to work with his brothers and they only agreed provided Paula stays (the hell) away....

I guess lilac is the dress code of the day. First Paula, now Val. Nick knocks on her door, still in his brown suit, though perhaps this one has a touch of maroon in it, or is it the Lilac of Val's dress changing its appearance. He tries to tell her how he feels so the romance is progressing. He says last night, kissing you I felt so much. You know I always try to control my emotions, but last night I couldn't. I've loved you for a long time. She tells him I don't know when my feelings changed for you. But Arturo is still in my head. I'm confused. He understands. And what about Michelle. I didn't understand what he responded about her. If only he and Val had met in a different place and time ( torn between two lovers, feeling like a fool, is playing in my mind)

O and Paula meet on the landing. O is in a good mood. She can't wait until Paula is unmasked and pays for all she has done.

PAPAS #72 Part 3

Fed tells Chano she is counting on his discretion; in other words she wants him to keep his mouth shut. There are several scenes where Chano starts to seem as though he is going to get sick. Sympathy sickness with Fer? There was also a flashback with him at a clinic. Kindly explain if you can.

Rudolf and Rosalinda are at a restaurant as she hears what every woman enamored of a man wishes to – he loves Clara Luz. Not the slightest bit deterred, she paws his face…

At home, Facundo reads a series of texts condemning him.

Tino returns to the house with bags of food. Augusto and Bertha are there looking glum. Everyone else is out to dine. Tino looks very unhappy as well he should as Dámaso is with all the children and Aidé at a restaurant. Lila and Emi have a sidebar about Fed. Circe and Uli get up from the table but Dámaso shepherds them back. They are having a wonderful time and everyone claps.

Tino makes a video and talks about his family.

Chano sits on a couch holding a stuffed monkey as Luchita gives him a hot drink. She hugs his arm and nestles against him talking about the children. He growls at her in a sexy way but the smile quickly leaves his face.

Insulting texts continue for Facundo.

The kids come home raving about the restaurant, smiling happily. All of a sudden they see Tino and bid him a smiling hello but immediately make themselves scarce as his face falls. Aidé thanks Dámaso for a wonderful evening. The father of her children topic comes up again. He says something he apologizes for and then hugs and kisses her telling her to be calm.

Aidé tells Tino Fed is manipulating him which he doesn’t want to hear. Next we see Fed texting Dámaso as Tino arrives. He isn’t in the mood. She then hands him her phone showing a picture of the happy family having dinner with Dámaso.

As Chofis texts Yeni, she runs into Oliver. The louse insists he is her novio. She slaps him and calls him an imbecile, walking away. He holds his face looking back at her. We shiver as we see she is texting Guzmán.

Tino comes downstairs as the kids are eating, they seemingly aren’t interested in anything he has to say. Aidé is finishing the kids’ lunches as they file out. She stresses she is moving out. A sad Uli comes over and gets a huge embrace from Aidé and encouragement from Tino.

PAPAS #72 Part 4 of 4

Rudolf and Tino have a business meeting. Tino offers his friend his support as Tino regrets what is happening to his family. Rudolf says something about Dámaso as Igor arrives (Tino looking not very unhappy). Is he going to work with them? Igor listens as he hears Tino talking about Fed’s pregnancy, recalling seeing the end of Chano and Fed’s office tryst!! The wheels are turning.

Oh no…A crying Chofis goes into Guzmán’s arms!! (I’m not sure where they are, there is a bed there). He holds her as she sobs against his chest.

Dámaso talks to Aidé about love and oh no, she leans over and starts kissing him!!

Facundo live streams proclaiming his innocence as a bunch of people come up to him, one throwing a pie in his face!

Circe and Uli talk; she is very upset about Tino having a baby with Fer and then mentions “that idiot Facundo”. Gia and Lorena are upset and show their phone; Facundo is blaming their posts for ruining his reputation, further stating Uli’s claims are completely false. All of a sudden, Uli looks scared.

Oh no, Chofis and Guzmán are now sitting on the bed. He tells her how terrible Oliver is. She thanks her tio for his support. He gets up and then takes her arm and stands her up; he talks about the heart and then slimily start to run his hand over her face. I can’t interpret what he says but Chofis finally realizes what he is doing and starts to panic, pushing him away.

I simply fell behind and never caught up. This was just beyond me. My heart is in the right place but my lack of Spanish comprehension (along with being dead tired) did not help tonight. Kindly add what you can and thank you so much.

Las hijas #76 part 2

Back to O and Paula. She says you know what I'm tired of you, and takes a swing at O which Ofelia stops by grabbing her arm. O tells her, I never fall for your traps and your days are numbered here it will all end when they know. Paula says you have nothing on me. Ofelia laughs and tells her how much she is enjoying this game of dragging it all out slowly to her downfall. Good day, she sneers.

Well the romance isn't flourishing after all. Val things this is crazy. You can't say anything to Arturo. Go back to Michelle. Nick has to tell Arturo. ( Will Arturo blow up and let Nick know he isn't a Portillo at the announcement I wonder,). Val is back to ugly crying.

Mateo visits Saul. He needs all the details of Saul and Paula encounters to tell Leo.

The brothers meet to work. Nick and Val arrive. He pulls out her chair , she thanks him , touches his hand and pulls it away as though it burned. Arturo notices. Then Priscilla arrives, sits next to Arturo. The transfer went through, she is their partner.

Saul warns Mateo that Paula is very crafty and can twist things . Be careful.

Back in the boardroom Priscilla wonders what happened at the launch, who recorded the conversation. Leo, but someone stole it from my phone, no names mentioned. She alludes to something about Arturo and Val I didn't understand, then rubs Arturo on the shoulder as she smiles at Val.

O is visiting the jail to see Lupita, who is not nice to O. O tells her I'm your only chance. Lupita says I trusted Paula and look at me now, why should I trust you. Lupita says I always helped Paula, why would she frame me. End results, she will tell all.

Mateo calls Leo, but since it comes up unknown he hangs up. Mateo calls again and this time he answers. Leo tells him I'm really busy don't have time to meet you. Mateo says it's not about business, it's about Paula.

Lupita feels like such a fool for trusting Paula. O says you are an important part of the puzzle to bring her down.

Cami ( also in a ake violet flowered dress) visits dad. He wants to talk about why she lied about her pregnancy. How did you find out, Juan's dad. I did it for love, I didn't want to lose Juan. You lied too dad, Mar is carrying Juan's baby and you married her knowing that.

O and Mateo meet and discuss their success with Lupita and Leo. Mateo says we no longer have Rocio on board. O is confused. She said she found her son. O figures she discuss Arturo is little boy lost.

Luis wonders how Cami knows. O told me. Why did you do it. For love. Then you love Mar? Why did you marry her. To protect her. She was on the point of doing something crazy when she found out she was pregnant. We had a pact. There has never been anything physical. I never stopped living your mother, he cries. I needed you all to learn a lesson, to manage your lives. But I married her for love of you all. Now Cami cries ( ok she can be redeemed if she is nice to Mar now).

Val doesn't think now is the right time to tell Arturo, but Nick is finally on a mission to win his girl and nothing will stop him. Nok if that's the case I'm going with you. No, this is what I have to do he says.

Mateo calls Paula. I'm about to tell Leo all. Bo wait, how can I stop you. Meet me at the location I send you. She's going.

Val and Mar meet for lunch. Nick and I kissed earns and I told you so from Mar. But now I'm more confused than ever Val cries. This will be a knife wound to Arturo's heart.

Mateo is at the casita. Paula meets him. He has video proof of all her assignations with Saul and her husband will be informed. Also I spoke with Lupita. She knows about the painting and the drops and will talk. Paula is not happy.

Val asks how Mar is doing. Not great, Cami is back. Val offers her a room but Mar needs to stay for Luis sake.

Arturo is at Priscilla's house ( still no dad sighting I guess he got another gig, hopefully more suited to his real age). They talk about Val. Arturo just needs tom to forget. Priss offers to help him in the forgetting and kisses him.

Mateo tells Paula he wants her to withdraw her complaint against Saul. Paula says don't be ridiculous. He points to his phone if video proof. What else? That's it. She wants him to delete the photo now. Not till you clear my brother. She leaves. Mateo opens a bedroom door. No it's not O grabbing the conversation but Leo. Mateo apologizes, but he felt it was better for him to hear it in person. Leo can't believe his whole life with her has been a lie. He weeps. She always told me she was a model. Arturo tried to warn me of her part. He says it was her with the painting and the poisoning. ( I'm thinking he is making these true assumptions based on other's accusations since neither were discussed at the Casita I don't think.

Rosalina brings up the fact that Guzman waited days before reporting the kidnapping. He used it as leverage at the fanview launch. Pipe is now in foster care or an orphanage until a judge decides. When Igor came for his severance package and talked to Guzman Igor said Pipe would be better off in an orphanage than with him for a dad.

I think Fede is now telling Chano he is the father, but not positive.
 

Papas. Ooh, I am happy to explain the clinic scene. Chano is there for his vasectomy appointment. The guy sitting next to him had one and says it's great, everything works as usual and no fear of future knock ups ( my words). He leaves and the paperwork about his vasectomy he left in the chair. Chano realizes it has no name, and the identifying number ( phone number perhaps?)is the same as his if he changes a 3 to an 8. This is his get out of vasectomy free card. The idea of a vasectomy is causing his wretching.

Tino's video is to the new baby to be. I think he did ones for Emi and perhaps Lila.

I wasn't sure where in the story something with Rudolph and Rosalinda occurred, but it is before this section so I'll mention it now. She tells Rudolph the USB was useless for the case. It was business fraud type stuff( stupid Rudolph doesn't connect the dots). They need dirt on him that makes him a bad father. Drunkenness, drugs, (I'm thinking sex with a minor is about to occur so there is the ammunition you need.).

Guzman has set up his tryst with Chofis in the same hotel as her first time with Oliver. Wow, what a cad, and now I wonder did he put Oliver up to it.?

Uli is upset because now the school friends knows he was sexually abused.

Diana, you did fine. I try to get to the post after hijas so it is fresh in my mind too. I have a lot less to type when you get the meat and potatoes portion of the story. I add the dessert....
 

LAS HIJAS

Kat, thank you for perfectly conveying all of the emotion so prevalent throughout tonight's pivotal scenes.

I laughed out loud at "Arturo is at Priscilla's house ( still no dad sighting I guess he got another gig, hopefully more suited to his real age)" - very clever.

"After grabbing Nico in for the kiss, she backs off, apologizes and runs away" wasn't surprising. Val is understandably confused especially as she has just realized her true feelings for Nick. But now Val needs to face her truth, follow her heart and choose fight, not flight. Time is running out.

"I never stopped loving your mother, he cries. I needed you all to learn a lesson, to manage your lives. But I married her for love of you all. Now Cami cries" was a powerful scene. Perhaps she will change, but that would not atone for all the cruelty and viciousness Cami has shown Mar. But because Mar is Mar, I'm sure she will forgive her without a moment's thought. I just cannot envision Cami letting go of the hatred she has felt for Mar all along, especially now that she knows Juan is the father of Mar's baby.

The look of devastation on Leo's face was hard to watch. While he hasn't been a good son or brother recently, think this hard lesson will make him change and become a better person.

By the look on Chano's face, I did wonder if Fed told him he was the baby's father but dismissed it. Now that you've mentioned you are also wondering if that is the case, I feel much better.

Thank you for explaining what happened with Chano at the clinic. "This is his get out of vasectomy free card" was excellent and said it all. LOL. He is unbelievable...

"She tells Rudolph the USB was useless for the case. It was business fraud type stuff (stupid Rudolph doesn't connect the dots)" was another important scene explained. Rudolf has hit upon gold, but he just doesn't realize! Wake up, please...

Kat, I did wonder if Guzman brought Chofis to the same hotel as Oliver had but thought I was likely just imagining it. Perhaps he did secure the room for Oliver and did plan/encourage Oliver. I have faith Chofis will escape although she will be traumatized. He must really hate Lichita for her rejection.

Speaking of the age of actors, it's been bugging me that I recognized the actor playing Mateo but couldn't quite place him, so I looked him up on IMdb and realized where I recently saw him - on Corazon Guerrero which aired in 2022. In which he played a teenager!!! :) LOL LOL LOL That's quite a jump. The actor is only 22 so I guess both ages are doable.

Cami got some pretty impactful news, and she didn't throw a fit??? Yeah, she might be redeemable! Not that I think she deserves redemption but I'm guessing most of these characters are going to get redemption whether they deserve it or not. Just to play devil's advocate though, I would question whether or not Cami truly hates Mar. I don't think Cami even knows Mar. She's never really known anything about her. She took an immediate irrational dislike to her that seemed more about deflecting her grief and pain onto someone than it was genuinely about Mar. It then got complicated when Cami fell for Juan and Mar married Luis, but I don't think hatred was truly the foundation of any of that.

I don't like how the writers are making Val wishy washy now, she seemed more certain of how she felt for Nic when she said 'he's the perfect man for me' but now she's telling Mar that Art is still in her heart? I can understand not wanting to hurt Art, but she's still torn? We waited almost 80 episodes, and she's still confused? You're right, that's not the continuation of romance...

Paula and Mateo did talk about the painting and her being behind Luis's medication when Leo was listening. She admitted to basically everything she has done.

Mar told Val she needed to stay in the house even though she and Luis are no longer married so I guess in Mexico, you can get a divorce on someone's behalf without their consent while they are in a coma. Good to know.

Thanks Diana, great job on the recap. And thanks Kat, for added details. I didn’t realize Rosalinda had seen what was on the USB and it wouldn’t help their case. Rudolf is not too bright. But neither is Chano! Did he really think showing a paper to Luchita to “prove” he had a vasectomy would keep her from getting pregnant. She needs to dump him. I’ve lost any respect for him that I might have had. Not sure I had any but I did want them to get back together at one time.

I hope someone bursts in on Guzman and Chofis. It was very strange to meet in the same room that Oliver used. I wonder if Guzman was working with Oliver! But since Guzman is going after the children of the people he felt wronged him I think he’s Uli’s abuser. And Circe and her friends blew it with their getting even with Facundo. Now Uli is the one that has to face everyone knowing what happened to him.

What ever happened to Emi going to the US to be treated?

Liz, I wondered the same thing about Emi and his treatment . For someone at high risk that needs to rest Fede sure is on her feet a lot. It's probably all a plot though and she has paid the Dr to lie for her. Not that I want Chofis to be raped, but if it happens I hope Guzman catches the STD she probably got from oliver.i have never liked Yeni and I don't get what her motive is. I wonder if she is in with Calacas and Guzman to hurt Chofis and Checo.

Thanks Kat, that was excellent. Things are coming together finally. I can’t wait for everyone to find out about Paula, even though we’ll see Ofelia gloat about how she uncovered everything.

When Priscila asked about the launch she seemed to say now she understands why Arturo made his moves toward Val. Basically saying, oh, it was a bet, I knew you couldn’t really love her. I wonder if she’s going to turn crazy again over Arturo.

Hopefully Camila will be nicer to Mar, especially after she finds out what Paula did.

Nick needs to explain to Val that Mich isn’t his girlfriend and why she’s there!

I’m really looking forward to finding out the true story of Rocio. Arturo doesn’t seem to be to bothered by the news.

* Karina leaves Gaby home alone while she searches for work. I guess the guy Pedro owns a newspaper or something. She speaks with him but she burned her bridges there when she went back to Enrique's campaign. While Gaby is home alone she tries to cook something to eat and burns her hand turning on the gas stove. Day turns to night and she is scared so sends Luci a voice message. I'm scared, mommy isn't home yet. Luci goes to her house and learns being left alone is a common occurrence. She is taking her back to Sophia's. Meanwhile Karina arrives home but hasn't entered yet when Ines comes and they have a loud argument outside the front door, slap included by Ines. Luci and Gabi leave by a side door but hear the argument.
* Adrian is released from the hospital under his parents care. Luci really thinks he needs group therapy but Ines overrules it. Mother knows best, love of family will cure him. Pato decides his brother needs him do he will accept the job offer from Enrique and stay in town. Later when he tells Paul and Memo his decision Paul gets mad that he wasn't consulted at all.
* Roberto sneaks into Joachin locker at work. There is a lot of money, a laptop and the burned capital crecient folder. He takes photos of them.
* Joachin is at the jail taxing the fall guy in his cell warning him to stick to the story, dead men don't talk he warns of his fate if he disobeys.
* Roberto talks to Grenas ( fall guy) but doesn't get much from him. Turns out the older police chief has given him the green light to talk to him. Bertha has gone to him complaining that fiscal furia is sticking his nose in the Saldana case again. Grenas seems to have ties to a drug ring they are investigating so that is the line of questions he was allowed to pursue. Bertha is not happy. We have to keep Ferrer happy, he's the future president.
* Leonardo is playing an espionage game it seems. He perhaps works for a newspaper or the other presidential candidate. Everything they find against Ferrer the Ferrer campaign has managed to turn it into a positive. I think Leonardo is interested in Ines Romantically, but also hopes to use her in some way. Looks like they were friends in their youth and through her he started dating her sister. He wonders, did you like me a little bit back then.
* Omar is having a real hard time. Poor Susy is trying relaxation techniques to keep her blood pressure under control. Keeping his secret isn't helping.
* Karina shows up at Luci's to collect Gaby. She is going to accuse her of kidnapping. As she yells at her Roberto arrives and tells her he is going to bring abandonment charges against her and readdress their custody agreement.

Liz, 'Arturo doesn’t seem to be to bothered by the news' This is why I've come to believe Adriana's theory is correct. Arturo is not Rocio's son, and he knows it! We've seen him react to news that actually affects his life, and this isn't it. Other than the initial blow up at Val and the graveyard scene where Art yelled at the only person who couldn't respond, he hasn't said word one to anyone. If that DNA test really said he was Rocio's (or even if he just thought it did) he would have confronted Luis with it 100%!!! The only reason why he hasn't is because he doesn't want Nicolas to find out, because he doesn't want Nico to know that Nic is Rocio's son, not Art!

Guzman is a disgusting and despicable man consumed by revenge and the desire to hurt others . However, because this is a Mexican telenovela and not real life, he will surely pay for all his hate and harm .

I hope that shallow, shameless, immature Chano is not rewarded with Lichita taking him back . However, she's been putting up with this dolt since they were teens . Uff

I have never seen Africa(:Fed) use the the silly facial expressions and sing song voice that she has used here. Why? Was she supposed to be comic relief???...she wasnt. Was it her decision or the director,'s? Susan

Well, O is the center of attention and in her glory . That confrontation between O and panicking Paula in the hallway by the stairs was well done. O is just where she loves to be..large and in charge.

I wonder if we will find out more about Paula's background . This whole show , I kept wondering why anyone would want the life Paula,wanted. She never saw her with friends or doing anything interesting. She just got up everyday and put on fancy dresses and heels and jewelry and sat around the house .

I have to say that Aide kissing Damaso really made my heart sink; the chasm between her and Tino is really widening as his relationship with his children is also suffering.

Chano isn't father of the year, completely agree.

The two characters that I have the hardest time understanding are Calacas and Guzman. When they're together? Forget about it. I hope there are some overt physical actions when the two next talk otherwise I will likely be able to add little.

While Africa may be adding some touches of her own, I would think the director is responsible for how she portrays the character who is truly horrid. Perhaps the director thinks some of it may be comic relief but I agree with you, it sort of falls flat.

Thanks Susan. I can keep up with plot lines in the shows pretty well. My challenge is remembering all the characters names, especially if I don't see them in every episode. Juegos is especially challenging as it's not as far along.

OT, I forget who put Alborado as their favorite TN, but I think it was you. I just finished episode 10. On ViX cc worked until episode 7, now I have none. I really liked how ViX put the characters name that was speaking in the CC's. I wish all of the providers did the same.

I’m so glad Roberto is starting to suspect Joachim. I wonder if he’ll tell Victoria and how she’ll react. I think she would be a great help to Roberto as she could feed Joachim false information. In the previous show, when Natalia found the suitcase of money under the bed I thought she was in Joachim’s room. But I couldn’t figure out why she would suspect him of anything so I could be very wrong.

I’m almost glad they’re turning Adrian into the possessive, drunken creep he’s become. I won’t feel sorry for him when they figure out it’s him. I wonder if Pato and Luciana will be the ones to figure it out. Besides Roberto, who is probably pretty sure.

Leonardo might be one of the good guys! I also think he’s interested in Inez, but hopefully that will just help him get the information he needs. He does seem to be working for the other candidate. I can’t even remember if Enrique was a good guy and good candidate before the accident. I know his father-in-law was never a good guy.

Liz, good thought about it being Joachin's room. I considered it was the guy that is in jail that was given money, but keeping it safe in an apartment for 3 years is a stretch, especially if it's vacant. At times I feel sorry for Enrique, everything turned south when Adrian hit Toby, though I personally feel Memo was more guilty for feeding him drugs and encouraging that fateful kiss while he was driving. I also feel, unless Adrian was on the wrong side of the road, that Toby and Daniel also shared some blame for walking on a dark road at 4 a.m.. Jump out of the road when you see headlights ahead or behind you. My husband and I walk our dogs on a country road and even in daylight we are walking against traffic and get onto the verge when cars approach.

I am still conflicted about Adrian. His past is sad with that awful father. But, he is racking up negative points now. I just recall his soft expression when Elena plays the piano.

Leonardo is interesting. We need good characters desperately. He appears to be working with someone against the Adrian group. He knew Ines and her sister back when. When did Ines meet Adrian? Did they all know each other? I can’t decide how I feel about Ines. She is tough in support of her family, but she now has to deal with betrayal. I think her sister is a little harder to categorize. Someone gave those genes to Memo.

I think I’d like to see Leonardo bring some happiness to Ines. But, it’s early yet in this tale.

Victoria, are you watching any of the current crop of novelas,? In the daytime slot I'm watching soltero con hijas which is a bit comedic and I like it. It's from 2022. I watched Nadie Como Tu last year. I liked it also. If you aren't watching Juegos, I recommend it and it's not super far along that you can't catch up with the patio. Check out the awards post from last week which ranks the shows from the past year. You can also check the archives to see the "winners" from previous years.

Victoria, I recommend my guilty pleasure of last summer: “Marea de pasiones”. It was like a beach novel come to life! As a matter of fact, I recapped it.

Victoria I'm hear for recaps and comments also. Unfortunately soltero con hijas was recapped in '22 but someone stole it so I'm blindly watching it and I am way behind as I'm watching the 3 evening shows and Amor Real at noon or 1 which I'm not loving, but it's ok. I think having it recaps makes it more interesting, if only to complain if it's bad or makes no sense.

Amor Real is my second favorite telenovela, and I've watched it about 8-10 times. Corazón Salvaje 1993 is my all time favorite, then Pasión and Alborada!

At one time I had a table of 'Recommended Telenovelas' on the Sidebar, but it disappeared.

The great thing I like about the comments is when Caraymates comment about an individual actor's character. My most memorable one was from 'Lo que la vida me robó', the character of María Zamudio, (Grettell Valdez).
We were all psychiatrists! It was so much fun
 

Victoria, I'm near Greenville, so not too far from you. Actually it is amor Amargo. I started amor real and will go back to it some day. I'll have to look up corazon salvaje. I first watched a Venezuelan TN. Daniel Elbitter was the galan. Entre Tu Y mi Amor. It was when I knew little Spanish. My daughter in law's sister in law is Colombian and she told me the Venezuelan TNs were crazy and she suggested la Hija de la Mariachi, Betty La Fea and Pura Sangre. I watched all of them before I discovered this blog (and I was only a month or so into my Spanish learning)so I probably will revisit them some day.
