Welcome to page 2 of Primetime TNs/Series. We have a new TN starting this week so let’s get the talkin’ started! A.MAR Capítulo 4 Parte 1 "The Slithering Snake with the Silver Tongue and Crocodile Tears"
1. Erika keeps acting like Fabián's novia coming over to celebrate his problems at the union being over and Estrella going back to Mexico City. She is SHOCKED to hear that the debt problem remains and Estrella never left. He tells her that Estrella has her mind set to repay the debt working as a fisherwoman challenging all of the fishermen in town. He thinks that is admirable. She isn't like how Erika described he. She's brave. He has never known a woman like her.
Erika looks concerned but manages to smile.
2. Estrella addresses the men who worked for her father. They celebrate when they hear that her father's business is going to continue but Tiburón wants to know who is gong to be in charge. They all argue among themselves which one of them it is going to be and are less than impressed when she announces that she will be their captain. She helped her father put out nets when she was young. She knows the job. Tiburón tells her that they are professional fishermen not little toys for a woman to play with.
3. Valentín talks with Perla and wants to help her. She asks if he knows who was the woman her father was with. Pascual, his cousin with the cross around his neck is skulking behind some bushes spying on them. Valentín says he doesn't but he has a friend that works at that hotel and maybe he saw or knows something. They decide to go to the hotel. His cousin looks SHOCKED.
4. Erika goes to see Meche to try to manipulate her into talking Estrella out of trying to run her father's business. She says Estrella's good intentions will not pay the bills. She says Meche knows how hard life is for a fisherman. It is not for a woman especially not for one that has a good job in the city. Meche insists she is going to trust her daughter. Erka understands but sometimes the closes to us can tell us things we don't want to hear. How she wishes she had listened to her mother's advice . . . She just wants Meche to think about it.
4. Perla is very nervous about going to the hotel. Pascual is following them. When they arrive at the hotel, she is reluctant to go in so Valentín pulls her in.
Pascual cannot believe what heis seeing and looks ready to cry.
5. Gabriel and Iker in amazement watch the mystery woman eating a salad. She uses no silverware only her hands. Iker thinks it is because she is a mermaid. His father tells him she is a woman common and ordinary like they are. They just don't know her. He needs to keep his eyes open for anything strange. Iker finds something strange right away. She has a mermaid tattooed on her ankle. The woman is unaware she has a tattoo. Gabiel and Iker stare at it. Iker says he said she was a mermaid.
6. Erika finds Estrella and angrily states she will never forgive her . . she smiles and adds for not saying goodbye to her. Estrella says things happened so fast and she must have heard about it all from Fabián. Erika lies and says she did and that he made fun of her., laughed ar her for thinking she cold fish. Erika adds that he made her angry and she defended her as she always does but she needs to think things over. She knows how the fishermen are in this town especially Fabián. All she can tell her is that It hasn't gone well for women wh have tried to fish. She doesn't have the physical strength and the men do not wnat a woman for captain.
7. Estrella tells Olliver to tell the rest of the crew that she wants to meet with them early tomorrow. She has a proposal.

8. On their way out of the hotel , Perla say she cannot believe they didn't find out anything. She makes Valentín promise that he won't say that she was out looking for that woman. Her mother wouldn't deserve to hear that kind of gossip.
9. Valentín goes home where his cousin is watiing for him. It seems that Pascual has a crush on Perla and thinks that Valentín took "his" Perlita to a hotel. Trying to repsect his promise to Perla, Valentín says they were not there for what Pascuat hinks. They went there to do business. They argue on and on as Pascual seems to be lost in a fantasy of his own making.
10. Granny Gertrudis has bad news for Yazmín. Fabián has regained custody of her through the courts. She will have to go live with him. Yazmín doesn't want to. Granny Gexplains that after the stupid thing she did, there was no way to avoid this. She has no more money to contract another layer because it was already spent in the last five years on lawyers in order to keep custody and Yazmín away and safe from that murderer. Without Yazmín, she is sure she is going to die and Fabián will be responsible. Yazmín is to remember the damage that he did to them and how he destroyed their lives. Yazmín is to continue their revenge and make his life not worth living. Granny G makes her swear she will do that. Yazmín swears she will.
11. Estrella has a proposal for her crew. If they accept it, they cannot lose. She wants them to go out with her as captain. If she cannot do the job, which many believe is the most probable outcome, then she will pick a captain out from among them. They agree. Fabián has been working on one of his boats and has witnessed the exchange. He thinks she is incredible.
12. It seems that Fabián has cut in front of Azul who was waiting in line at the local coffee shop and she calls him on it. He apologizes They sit together with their drinks. He thinks she must be very proud of her mother. She answers that is obvious. She is always very proud of her mother. She is the best not like those who cut in front of others in line. He says she reminds him of his own daughter when she was her age. She will be coming to live with him soon. He has been fighting for that to happen for a long time. Azul's greatest wish is that her father would fight for her and want to meet her some day. Estrella arrives.
13. Sergio and Beatriz are having a meal with his father who is happy about her engagement. She says she would get married to Sergo today. Sergio is not pleased with that answer and painfully squeezes her leg to shut her up. She stabs his hand with a fork to let her leg go. Sergio comments that they are going to get married but want to take their time about it so it is planned well. Beatriz remarks that she cannot wait to have a child. His father is pleased that they are following his belief that a marriage should be founded on love and respect. He congratulates them again and leaves.
14. Sergio angrily asks Beatriz what was she doing stabbing him. She answers that he was hurting her. He warns her not to try to push their situation beyond what he wants. He didn't like her saying she would get married today since she knows they will not be getting married until she is pregnant. She pulls out a pregnancy test and tells him her period is a little late. They decide she will take the test.
15. Estrella approaches the table where Azul is seated with Fabián. Azul tells her mother that Fabián was telling her all about his daughter.H e remarks that it looks like her father's crew has a new captain. She answers that fortunately there are people who care about her family in this town and support her. He says her daughter is just like her: strong and determined. She wonders if that is praise of an insult. He thinks she is lucky that her daughter is still young. He is dealing with a teenager so she can imagine what that is like. Erika walks in and sees them chatting. She spies from afar. He hopes that the sea is generous and that it fills Estrella's nets.

A.MAR Parte 4
20. Gonzalo visits Fabián at his office. Fabián says it has been a very good year for them in the fishing business. Fabián gets the counterfeit message from Meche. Gonzalo finds it strange that Meche is not supporting her daughter. Fabián agrees especially since this is the very first day Estrella has been out fishing. He will not accept the properties because Estrella deserves a chance. He is going to send a message to Meche that they need to wait for three months before they do anything. Better that than take an action now that they may be sorry for later. He sends Meche a message that before taking any action at the notary, he would like to talk to her.
21. Estrella gets home in a good mood. They cast all of their nets and tomorrow's yield will tell. Meche asks if the fisherman bothered her. Estrella says it was nothing she couldn't handle bu she almost threw Tiburón in the water. He doesn't know how to work on a team. He is envious and rude. Something tells her she cannot trust him. Meche gets the message from
Fabián.
22. Perla tells Valentín she is done looking for her father's lover. She would never want that information to get out. She is so disappointed in her father. She asks why men have to be like that with women. He tells her that not all men are like that and he is sure her father loved her. He goes to touch her face and she shirks from his touch but ends up crying on his shoulder. Pascual sees them and is not happy!
23. Meche tells Estrella that she doesn't know why Fabián would send her that message. She never asked him for an appointment with the notary. She has always been the first one to believe in her and she knows it. Meche concludes that maybe Erika talked to him. Erika cares for Estrella a lot and is worried about her. She said it would be impossible for a woman to get ahead by fishing in this town. She wanted to convince her to make a new deal to liquidate the debt with her novio. She didn't accept her offer.
24. Pascual asks Valentín and Perla if he is interrupting something. She says she was just leaving. Valentín want to follow her as his crazy cousin demands to know if he has something going on with HIS Perlita. Pascual does not believe Valentín when he says it isn't what he thinks. He calls him a Judas.
25. Estrella confronts Erika. She asks her how could she dare upset her mother like that. Erika ways she was trying to help. Estrella tells her to do it in a different way by supporting her family. Erika feels she is between a rock and a hard place. She blames it all on Fabián. It was his idea. She did it because Fabián is the love of her life and he could lose his job at the union if he doesn't get the money back. Estrella asks her not to meddle anymore and leaves. Under her breath, Erika calls her stupid and says she will get her to leave town.
26. Their first fishing expedition is a success. Estrella is proud to call the men her crew. They all cheer except for Tiburón.
27. Erika goes to visit Fabián at his office. She is in tears. Estrella said some terrible things to her. She didn't deserve it. She only wanted to help her. It seems she hates her.He tells her there is no reason for her to feel bad. She needs not to get involved in disagreements that have nothing to do with her like this one. She says she is afraid that Estrella could do something to hurt him.Estrella told her she wanted to take revenge on him. Valentín breaks up the sob story by telling Fabián that they have a big mess on their hands.The men leave. Erika follows behind. It seems that somebody cut their nets and they lost all of their fish. It wasn't SHARKS! Erika tells Fabián that it must have been Estrella. He concludes that if Estrella cut the nets, she will have to pay for what they lost.

Wow Jarifa. That was excellent..there is so much to comment on but the last part where Fabian's fisherman lost their fish because the nets were cut confused me. Wouldn't they know the nets were damaged before putting them in the water? My take on it was that they were cut recently while the boat was sitting on the shore( by. Erika of course).
Meche just letting Erika use her phone....does nobody lock their phones in Mexico? Erika certainly has a lot of anger towards Ana. Wonder why she hates her so much. Speaking of Meche, her earlobes seem attached to the side of her head. I've never seen anything like that before as a physical trait. Am I the only one to notice it?
Pasqual, another deluded guy in his obsession for Perla.
And now to the 6 million dollar question. How much is the 5 million pesos, or whatever the loan amount was, worth? And is there any chance in hell catching fish for 3 months will recoup that debt. Ana has a large crew to pay on top of living expenses for her and the family. She needs to fire that Tiburon guy, she can manage without him. Is there a fleet of boats or are they all going out on that one boat. Can't haul in much of a catch with that many bodies on board! I would assume catching fish with nets you just drag the nets and not place them and come back for them ( like lobster and crab traps) but I could be wrong. I wish the writers would get a professional in whatever business is peddled on TNs to make it more plausible.

Poor Perla, on the verge of utter despair, seems ready to explode in her grief and anger. I am sure Tiburón is behind it, I hope she confides in Valentín and soon.

I'm totally in and very intrigued especially by the tattoo. Who in the world is this woman? Brisa gets more annoying every day, so transparent.
Estrella is strong and determined and it's easy to see why Fabian is falling for her so quickly. There is no reason for her to cut the nets, she is in effect slitting her own throat. Think, people, think!

Kat, it seems that one million pesos is around 58 thousand dollars. Earning that seems impossible given the what we’ve seen but again there was more than one boat on shore and this is a telenovela where the seemingly impossible routinely happens. Too funny! I have the same issue with the cellphones that you do. Pascual is one sick puppy. I don’t think we needed him on top of all of the other craziness. Hmmm . . Missing earlobes? I will have to take a look. Thanks for the laugh.

Juegos
I fell asleep early last night. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. as a result. I was set to watch the show and it appears to have been preempted by something. That suited me fine. Time to play catch up on the others I am watching. I'll post tonight's episode tonight or tomorrow. Since I woke up so early I may not be up for it today. I researched the show and it says there are 70 episodes. Tonight will be #47.

Time to play catch up on the others I am watching. I'll post tonight's episode tonight or tomorrow. Since I woke up so early I may not be up for it today. I researched the show and it says there are 70 episodes. Tonight will be #47.

Thanks so much Jarifa. All the details really filled in any blanks I had. Erika is so sneaky, what a back stabbing friend. I hope Fabian and Estrella catch on to her. I don’t want to lose sleep over her. I bet she cut the nets.
I can’t see making that much money on fish but I’m also assuming the bad guys will somehow get caught. I think Rosalba will come back at some point and maybe confront Profirió about her money.
Brisa is almost funny, she’s so open in her disapproval of the mermaid woman staying with Gabriel. I can’t imagine why she was eating with her hands but I can see why Iker thinks she’s a mermaid! But how strange to be floating in the sea and not have fingerprints. Was she kept captive somewhere? Time will tell.
I really liked how Fabian and Azul got along so well. It should get interesting when Yazmin joins her dad. I have a feeling Erika will try to sabotage that relationship. I don’t think she wants a problem daughter in Fabian’s life.

A.MAR Capítulo 5 Parte 1
NOTES FROM THE COUCH . . .
It is Friday night, I have a plate of nachos and a glass of wine and am on the couch
Okay, here is what happened . . .
Estrella vs. Fabián
After being alerted, Estrella appears at the beach where Fabián is taking her haul of fish as payment for the cut nets that he is sure she was responsible for. Erika is there observing it all. They end up wrestling over a crate of fish and he ends up covered with its content as Estrella throws individual fish at him and empties the crate over his head. (This was the best scene of the evening) He ends up telling her (and others) that if it is a war she wants, she has it.
Fabián is going to have a meeting for all Estrella's employees. He needs extra help and is going to offer them a good deal if they come to work for him.
Tiburón boasts to Nemesio that he was the cause of said offer. He was the one who cut up Fabián's nets to make Fabián and Estrella enemies. Working for Estrella was going to ruin their chances of making any money.
Nemesio tells Estrella about Tiburón being responsible for the cut nets.
Estrella shows up at Fabián's meeting. All of her men decide to go work for Fabián except for Oliver and Nemesio. She make a point of putting Tiburón on notice by telling him that he has no idea what is coming his way. She then tells Fabián that he deserves him. Fabián looks puzzled but warns Tiburón that what she said better not be true.
Gabriel and Marina the Mystery Woman
Marina, the mystery woman, is worried about Gabriel taking so much time to be with her. He says that his boss Fabián was giving him the time off. He enjoys her company. He will help her find out who she is. She is grateful for everything he has done for her. She has a sudden memory of standing at the bow of a boat, feeling a hit on the back of her head and falling into the sea. Gabriel takes her to a psychiatrist who says that memory could be real or a fabrication of her brain. She doesn't want to give Marina false hope. She may get her memory back or may not. Only time will tell.
In the meantime, Gabriel assures Brisa of her place as his novia and tells her that he feels responsible for Marina since he saved her. Brisas tries to be nice to Marina but has to mention how she is a real burden to Gabriel and his job as well as to their relationship. Iker gives the mystery woman the name Marina because that is the name of the mermaid in a book he has.
Estrella drafts her mother and sisters to fish with her, Nemesio and Oliver. When lazy Brisa complains, Meche tells lazy Brisa that she can learn and become a great fisherwoman. Meche says EVERYONE is going to support Estrella and go fishing.
Estrella arrives on the beach with her family and they meet up with Nemesio and Oliver. She introduces her new crew. Fabián and his crew notice them on the beach. Gonzalo says that Estrella is so beautiful that her smile could guide them back to port no matter how rough the waters were. Fabiàn smiles and agrees.
Tiburón acts as instigator and leads some of Fabián's men to harass Estrella and her crew. Fabián tells him to stop and asks Estrella is she is sure about what she is doing. She answers that she is very sure. He is worried about her and her family. She says he should be concerned about a traitor being in his own crew. She puts Tiburón on the spot and asks if he didn't tell Fabián about all the business he made him lose. Fabián is confused. Estrella informs him that Tiburón is taking him for a fool. He is the one that cut up his nets.

So many fun scenes last night! Like you, I especially savored Estrella pelting and then emptying the basket of fish on Fabian! It looked like Erika (Laura Carmine) was trying to stifle a smile in the background. When you can see and sense the actors are enjoying themselves, it really adds to the story.
Tiburón was a fool to reveal what he did (although I'm glad he couldn't keep his bragging to himself); I'm hoping his backstory with poor Brisa is revealed soon. Him threatening her looked so real.
Erika is here, there and everywhere; threatening, cajoling and being an overall eyesore.
I think Marina is going to hold her own with Brisa. I can't believe Gabriel hasn't tired of Brisa's histonics, but I like his loyalty.

This was a great episode! Karsu’s mom alone is worth the price of admission. She’s a hoot, and a welcome blast of endearingly flawed humanity and humor. I loved her chasing after the private detective with a slipper. The actress is delight in the part and It’s wonderful to see a character who is not a stereotype - I wonder if she’s based on someone the writer knows.
So now what do we think of the mysterious lodger? Oh no, a hidden gun! But then wait – it’s okay! And then later, the concern that the boy is about to be left alone with him. Should we worry?
Karsu really needs to give her sulky tween a hug for heaven’s sake. Yes, Karsu’s under tremendous strain, and yes, she gives a girl an excellent talk. But the girl is not just some moody girl where you can’t figure out what’s bugging them. She states very clearly and very often that she feels neglected. So how about some abrazos and besos? The talk alone fell very short of what the girl needs.
The husband is just worse and worse by the minute. Hold firm, Karsu!

From the way Karsu acted before finding Deniz ( easier to remember that name) I see his point a bit. She probably didn't give him any affection and muted off to the girls as she wallowed in her despair.
I like Feliz a lot too. I'm glad this is only 30 episodes and hope it remains a family story without murder and mayhem.

What is the fish doing out on the beach, apparently overnight and not on ice, from the previous days catch anyhow? Maybe it was on ice, but unless someone was there guarding it then anyone could have walked off with it.
Meche should teach Brisa her fish cleaning job and give it to her so she can help Erika. Seems foolish to take an actual breadwinner away from her job

Kat, I have a feeling this show is not going to make much sense "on the fishing front" or on other fronts either. Brisa needs to be working whether she likes the smell of fish or not. I never knew you had to like a job if you needed money to feed yourself. It is hard to believe that she has been given a pass on getting a job so far.

The guy that was spying on Karina and Roberto is Guzman. He was offered a lot of money to find dirt on the Saldana case. He's the reporter that broke the Pato gay story.
Mateo warns Clara she better keep her mouth shut. Remember the mechanic that took the blame? He's dead. She says she'll keep quiet. He then tells her your mine when and however I want you and throws her face down on the bed.
Elena gets some counseling from Luci about her love and jealousy for Omar. She is sure Susana and Omar have a thing for each other.
Memo tells Enrique that Grandpa is taking nitroglycerin for a heart condition. He's also paying a lot of money to a palliative care clinic.
Victoria is put on the case to find out about Guzman.
Karina seems to be regretting her Enrique choice and misses her life with Roberto and Gaby.
Omar and Elena talk. He tells her nothing is going on with Susana, but she reminds him of her when they were young. A strong woman, etc. she thought they would remain together forever. He thought the same but has a flashback to the mechanics death and tells her things changed.
Manolo is at Fabiola's bedside. Natalia brings his some coffee. Natalia says she will move out so Fabiola will have space at his place. He tells her she is like a second daughter and he wants her to stay at his place
Enrique and Leo argue about the video he and Ines made. Ines comes in and says my decision he works for me. Enrique leaves. They have the house to themselves....
Adrian speaks with Rebecca on the phone. She advises him how to win Alex back. Remind her of happy times, don't pressure her, etc. she has a lunch date with Alex but won't show, take my place.
Dani tells Alex about Clara having bruises. You are friends. She is not my friend anymore. She is in an abusive relationship. She tells him, go ahead and fix her life but leave me alone.
Guzman and Joachin meet. He needs something to bury the Ferrer campaign to give his boss. Joaquin tells him since you are family ill let you in on a secret. I'm working with the Ferrer's and when he wins I'll get a promotion.

Juegos #47 part 2
Enrique and Memo are at the sanitarium where his dad is being cared for. Memo asks, is this your dad? You aren't my grandson, are you? I'm Mariana's son. Ah. I knew your mother when she was with this bastard.
Victoria interrupts Roberto and Luci with a message. She sends a photo of Joachin with Guzman.
Memo is arguing with Enrique, what is he talking about you being with my mother. Enrique says he's sick and saying crazy things. Fermin coughs in a dire way so memo is sent to get a nurse. Enrique asks, why don't you die already.
Luci wonders if Edgar ( Guzman) offered him so much money ( that was in the first scene but Roberto refused), perhaps it's the same people that are paying Joachin. Roberto points out Edgar wants damning evidence against Enrique. But they sure look chummy like they've known each other a long time.
Enrique is told by the staff his dad has days or weeks at most. Memo has questions. Enrique continues with his story that dad is mad on the head and just wants to hurt him. Have you ever known your mother and I to get along? Memo agrees , no.
Memo is on Grandpa's office when Francisco comes in. The camera pans to a bottle of pills. Francisco picks it up. Memo wonders about the clinic payments, is it for him. Francisco says, no these pills are just blood pressure pills and avoids the question. They discuss Fermin. I think he tells Memo that he is dead.
Back to Fabiola. She wakes up. A Dr is there with his white coat that agitates her. Manalo tells her she had a bad experience with white coats so he takes it off. The tests show no brain damage.
Alex is waiting for mom at an open air restaurant. She's late. He asks her simple questions as we hear Rebecas's voice yelling him to bring up happy memories, no pressure.
Dani is at Clara's house looking for her. The maid says she's not there. She spent the night with her friend Alex.
Victoria found out through social media that Joachin and Edgar are cousins.
Memo and Pato talk. Grandpa Fermin told us that my dad was a player with the women. Memo is getting a clue.
Alex and Adrian are laughing and taking about old times. He gets a text and says I have to go. Alex is open mouthed in shock. Mom calls her. I had a problem with my new shoes, sorry I missed meeting up with you.
Chofis counsels Elena. She gets a call from Omar at the hospital that the baby is doing well and Susy is mentioned. Elena s face falls.
Dani spies Clara being dropped off at her house by Mateo. He rushes up.and asks her why did he drop you off.
Joachin is ushered into Roberto's office. I hope this is quick, I have a date. Roberto laughs and tells him to sit. You better cancel your date, you have a lot of explaining to do.

Memo is arguing with Enrique, what is he talking about you being with my mother. Enrique says he's sick and saying crazy things. Fermin coughs in a dire way so memo is sent to get a nurse. Enrique asks, why don't you die already.
Luci wonders if Edgar ( Guzman) offered him so much money ( that was in the first scene but Roberto refused), perhaps it's the same people that are paying Joachin. Roberto points out Edgar wants damning evidence against Enrique. But they sure look chummy like they've known each other a long time.
Enrique is told by the staff his dad has days or weeks at most. Memo has questions. Enrique continues with his story that dad is mad on the head and just wants to hurt him. Have you ever known your mother and I to get along? Memo agrees , no.
Memo is on Grandpa's office when Francisco comes in. The camera pans to a bottle of pills. Francisco picks it up. Memo wonders about the clinic payments, is it for him. Francisco says, no these pills are just blood pressure pills and avoids the question. They discuss Fermin. I think he tells Memo that he is dead.
Back to Fabiola. She wakes up. A Dr is there with his white coat that agitates her. Manalo tells her she had a bad experience with white coats so he takes it off. The tests show no brain damage.
Alex is waiting for mom at an open air restaurant. She's late. He asks her simple questions as we hear Rebecas's voice yelling him to bring up happy memories, no pressure.
Dani is at Clara's house looking for her. The maid says she's not there. She spent the night with her friend Alex.
Victoria found out through social media that Joachin and Edgar are cousins.
Memo and Pato talk. Grandpa Fermin told us that my dad was a player with the women. Memo is getting a clue.
