#51 – Part 1 of 2

Had a lot going on so this won’t be long. Always have Pilates Tuesday night. And then I had a Warriors basketball game to watch.

Well, I thought a different actor would be Nacho, the big boss. It’s Jorge Luis Moreno, an actor I don’t believe I’ve seen before. He definitely has crazy eyes. He tells Duque that anything bad that ever happened to Gloria will be blamed on Duque, and he’ll be the savior.

Last episode Venancio Told Bacalau that he knew there was a rat in his cartel. We saw Bacalau’s adam’s apple go up and down a time or two then. It’s mentioned again tonight.

Torres tells Castillo that his father-in-law is the judge assigned to Catillo’s case. He’ll definitely get a sentence of 40 years if he doesn’t sign the document admitting he framed Gloria.

Gloria calls Venancio from prison, using another name. He refuses to help her or to include Ed back into the cartel. He’s on the run.

Ramona spends half the episode ragging on Yadira for the stolen $300K. We saw last episode that it was that evil Martin wearing a ski mask. Uriel told him she got a bag of something from her mother’s house.

Venancio tells Bacalau, who’s at attention as always, that he’ll grow a beard. We don’t know where he’s hiding out but he’s sending Bacalau back to CDMX.

Duque is searching what I think is Gloria’s apartment. He’s looking for something with her fingerprints on it and finds a gun.

If anyone knows what happened with Uriel and that backpack, chime in. His mother came into the kitchen, and he seemed not to want her to see it. Earlier we saw Martin supposedly split the $300K with Uriel. In the backpack were some pill bottles and a small amount of money?? At first, I thought Martin cheated him. But he seemed happy and shot himself up with some drug.

Nacho’s obsession with Gloria is explained. He has a thumb drive with LOTS of pictures of her and a box with two 5x7’s. There’s a flashback to, we suppose, Nacho selling mangoes and other fruits in a park. Some bullies push him over. Gloria rescues him and sends the guys away.

Bolillo has been hiding out, per Duque’s instructions. Now Duque has a job for him. We don’t find out what it is.

Art has confiscated Miguel’s phone so he can’t call his mother. Miguel is refusing to eat.

#51 – Part 2 of 2

We’re subjected to a long pity party from Laura. She whines about her bad taste in men and bad motherhood. Yawn.

Uriel’s adoring mother knocks on his door, but he doesn’t answer.

Esther, Mauricio’s spy, tries to get Gloria to talk about Estrada, but she doesn’t talk about it. A guard comes to tell Gloria that she’s freed.

Ed thanks Humberto for helping get Gloria released. Ed is also released from suspicion for having killed Marco. Ed tells Humberto that, yes, he can see Amanda.

Gloria promises to help Violeta and Esther get out of prison. Esther won't have a problem at all.

Miguel, per his father’s orders, is back selling drugs. He tries to get one Iker to lend him his cell, but the kid says Arturo forbade it.

Gloria comes out and Ed embraces and kisses her. Nacho looks on, not best pleased. He says something about not letting her humiliate him again. We haven’t seen her do that, maybe another flashback?

Looks like Uriel has OD’d. As before his mother calls Yadi. There’s evidence of drug use all over his bedroom. Will this woman finally understand?

Sigh. Mati is furious. Erna has used Jacinto’s credit card in Los Angeles and is whining because he’s cut it off.

Jacinto gloats that he knows where “the idiot” is. Luisa rolls in to tell him Gloria is freed.

Gloria calls Dani, again saying he’s the love of her life.

Gloria and Ed get busy.

Thanks for the Tuesday recap even though you had a busy night.

Wow, Monday’s ep was a shocker. The sheikh I thought was fake was the real deal. Duque set him up to be killed by Estrada, causing an international incident. How does Duque know a sheikh well enough to lure him to Mexico? I’m not 100% sure but I thought Bacalao killed the sheikh. I guess Duque also set up Castillo. I jumped when he killed Nino. Ed escapes unscathed.

Duque temporarily got Bolillo out of jail so he could kill Ed. No one is to know Bolillo is out. Duque plans to return him after the job is done. Bolillo wouldn’t be blamed cause he was supposedly in jail. Who knows, maybe this is another set up.

Disgusting Uriel. Looks like he blew a lot of money on drugs. Probably not $150k worth, though. Not sorry if he’s dead. Mom will probably blame Yadi for it.

Wonder what Martin has planned for his share?

Juana spilled on killing Maribel and the car bomb that killed Vero. She said she did it to save Gloria. But she left out that she recommended the sicarios to Maribel. Gloria always thought Duque was behind all that. Ha, she started a cartel war over her assumptions.

Lots of contenders for the “most stupid” award, but Erna takes the prize by using her credit cards. And she's shocked they were declined! I’m beginning to think Ramona is the only smart woman on the show.

“Gloria and Ed get busy.” Yuck. I needed a shower after seeing that.

Gracias, Novelera. You cleared up my fog about what's happening. "Crazy eyes" was a big surprise. So he obsessed over Gloria even before Uriel did.

Dondi, I second your "yuck" on Gloria and Ed.

My favorite duo in this TN is actually Amanda and Dani as siblings.

Why in blazes did Erna even need a credit card. She's mooching off Mati and never goes anywhere.
