A.MAR #26 Parte 1 Notes from the Couch. . .

Fabián and Yazmín: A Change for the Better
Yazmín is her miserable self to her father at the start of the episode. He gets a call to come and see the principal at her prep school with her and finds out that she has only attended two days since she has been enrolled. When she was there for those two days, she was a discipline problem. She is officially expelled. Fabián stands up for his daughter and explains to the principal all of the stress she has been under with the death of her grandmother and moving in with him and begs her to give her another chance. The principal gives in but Yazmín will have to do extra work. Fabián agrees. When they get back home, Yazmín has changed for the better and thanks Fabián for having stuck up for her. He soon finds out that she has never liked school but has always gotten good grades. She wants to be a doctor but is concerned she will not be able to afford to go to the university she wants. Fabián tells her he has some savings so she will not have to worry.

Sergio and Estrella and Azul: A Change for the Worse
Estrella goes to pick up Azul at school and finds out that her father picked her up. The teacher says that Azul recognized him as her father so she didn't think it was a big deal. Estrella informs her that it was. The teacher apologizes. Estrella heads over to Erika's to see if they are there. Well, they aren't and Estrella has just missed a confrontation between Erika and Teresita. Teresita is pressuring Erika to tell Estrella that she gave Azul her father's phone number. That conversation doesn't go far as Estrella starts telling Erika about her situation and not having Sergio's number. Teresita takes advantage of the situation to tell Erika to give it to Estrella. Estrella asks how would Erika have it??? Erika says she had it from whenJavier was trying to set up that first meeting with Azul. Estrella calls Sergio. He and Azul and Iker are at a buffet restaurant. It turns out that Azul called him to see him and he thought that she had got permission from Estrella. Estrella is on her last nerve when she gets there and then cannot find them inside the restaurant since they changed location. She want to gather the kids and leave but Sergio wants to talk to her alone. She blames him for not checking with her that Azul had permission since he is the adult. He blames her for never telling him that he had a daughter. Azul hugs her father goodbye and he says he can help her with her ecology project. When they get home, Azul expresses her anger with her always ruining things with her father. She stomps and storms into her room. Little does Estrella know that Sergio has bagged Azul's spoon from her ice cream for a paternity test ASAP.

Later, Estrella goes out to try to relax and ends up at Erika's restaurant. There Teresita is lecturing Erika about having given Azul her father's phone number and calling her a hypocrite because Estrella would never have done anything to hurt her. Estrella overhears the whole conversation. She demands to know what gave Erika the right to call her daughters' father behind her back.
 

A.MAR Parte 2

Gabriel's Mystery
Gabriel and Marina's romance is blooming. He goes with her to the civil registry to see if they can find a birth certificate for her or any information about her identity. She doesn't have much hope not knowing for sure what her last name is. When they arrive, she goes to talk with an employee and Gabriel is recognized by a man who works there. His name is Víctor. Looking very uncomfortable, Gabriel tries to ignore him but has to acknowledge him. The last time they saw each other was ten years ago. It seems that the man issued Iker's birth certificate. He asks how the boy is doing. He must be about ten now. He tries to remember if they registered him under the name of Iñaki but then remembers it was Iker Arenas. He asks him what he finally decided to do. Did he tell the boy the truth? Before Gabriel can answer, Marina returns and doesn't read the room so to speak. Víctor is quick to offer her assistance with her being Gabriel's friend and she is quicker to take it. When it turns out that Víctor could discover nothing more about who Marina might be, Gabriel decides it is time to leave. Víctor insists they get together for a beer some time. They have a lot of catching up to do. Gabriel is out of there with a disappointed Marina ASAP.

Everything Else

Oliver is hot on the trail of Javier hoping to catch him and record him in a compromising situation with another girl. He is still visiting Yazmín outside of her bedroom window in the evening and she seems to be enjoying it.

Valentín and Perla are clearly attracted to each other. She is still helping him out. He has a dream where he and Perla are making out and Pascual walks in on them. That scares him.
 

Juegos #68 part 1

Ines is going bat shit crazy after learning Enrique has been sleeping with her sister and Memo is his son and most importantly, they have killed her father. She fills Luci and Pato in on it all. Her only goal now is to make him pay.

Memo also is BSC in his well known to us way. .he is the favored son. He will be at Dad's side right up to the election. Enrique wants him to go away with Mariana and take care of her for a few days. After the election the 3 of them will be together.

Looks Enrique and his campaign team are alluding to the other candidate, Guzman, being behind Francisco's disappearance.

The police team find out the blood at the scene is Francisco's. They also have a warrant to arrest memo as they caught the dognappers/ killers and they squealed.

Karina is plotting something and money is involved. Her new accomplice I think is Edgar.

Omar is talking to someone on the phone named Vivi about a wedding suit I think, or perhaps a dress for Elena. . unfortunately Elena is hearing only his side of the conversation and she is shocked, probably thinking he has another woman.

Luci goes to pick Gaby up from school but Karina has a really gotten her.

Roberto shows up at Mariana's house with an arrest warrant for Memo. Mariana defends him, my father was behind everything. Mariana won't let them in her house without a search warrant ( memo isn't there).

He is at the white L shaped hacienda with a bunch of bullets in front of him. He reflects back on his conversation with Mom and Dad, as she packs his suitcase. He doesn't care if he goes back to jail. He wants to kill Adrian. Memo sneaks out of his house. A car is on stakeout but the driver is asleep (or dead).

Karina is dragging Gaby through a park for a surprise vacation. Gaby wants to talk to Dad. Luci sees them and hollers out. Gaby wants to talk to her and pulls away and rushes to Luci. Meanwhile a car has been watching them and runs Karina down. She flies up to the top of the car then rolls off onto the street. Luci and Gaby watch in horror.

Mariana calls Memo to say fiscal furia came for him for kidnapping Fabiola. Memo says that was Grandpa and German. Everything will be fine tomorrow when dad is elected. Then memo will take his vengeance on all he feels have done him wrong. Mariana wants him to quit with his vengeance talk.

Luci calls for an ambulance as the blue car backs up and drives off. Too bad she didn't snap a quick photo of it..

Roberto is chewing someone out. I think it was the guy asleep at the wheel whenemo ran off.

Luci calls him about Karina. Hell meet them at the hospital. He talks to Gaby. She needs him.







 

A.MAR

Jarifa, throughout the years, my enjoyment of your extraordinary recaps remains as strong as ever.

Expect the unexpected...

"He tries to remember if they registered him under the name of Iñaki but then remembers it was Iker Arenas. He asks him what he finally decided to do. Did he tell the boy the truth?" Dramatic music plays as another mystery unfolds, something very unexpected and very intriguing. Given Gabriel's frantic reponse to villain Victor's inquiry, (correct me if I'm wrong) it appears there may be a distinct posssibilty Gabriel is not Iker's father!

Finally, Iceland, errr, Yazmin has thawed a bit. All her father had to go was go to bat for her for ditching school even though she seemingly was not contrite in the slightest! A minor quibble as at least she is finally speaking to Fabian a bit civilly.

Sergio has wrapped Azul around his little finger. She's too young to realize she is being manipulated and worse, that Sergio is trying to come between her and Estrella. I didn't catch him taking the spoon so thank you for explaining that!

Loving Oliver's persistance and support of Yaz.

You had wondered earlier about who Brisa might end up with. I have to go with someone we haven't seen yet. I think Perla and Valentin are end game. It's going to be a hard road though unless Pascual falls for someone else which seems unlikely. I laughed at Valentin's dream, such a guilty conscience!

Thank you so much Jarifa. This is really a fun show.

Juegos # 68 part 2

Enrique is getting campaign advice from a guy named Tomas. .he seems new to me, but I guess he's been one of the campaign managers. You need to be sad and concerned about Francisco's disappearance.

I guess Hector was behind the hit and run. Enrique had spoken to him earlier and I didn't remark on it. He got out of there before he was found. He wants his money. Enrique says this better not turn into a problem.

Mariana calls. E ignores it.

Pato visits Adrian and fills him on about everything. And the worst part of the news is Memo is our brother.

Enrique and German are discussing Karina I think. Ines waltzes in wearing a royal blue dress which matches Enrique's suit. She is dizzy with excitement ( or crazy as a loon). Yeah she has officially gone Cuckoo.

Adrian wants to know if memo knows. Initially Pato says no, but changes it to an I don't know.

Enrique thinks Ines is drugged. She says she only took her migraine pills.

Enrique wants German to put a blurb in how Enrique is saddened at the accident of his former campaign director. He's already counting the extra sympathy votes. German shakes his head over this and leaves. Ines enters. Help Memo.

Luci tells Roberto about Karina taking Gaby from school and that Gaby told her mom was planning on taking her on a trip. Also, the car hitting her did not seem to be an accident. A surgeon comes out. Karina needs brain surgery to reduce swelling and, yes it is very dangerous.

Enrique tells Mariana that kidnapping isn't that easy a charge to make disappear, but he'll get right on it after he wins. He mentions that Ines seems disconnected from reality. Mariana says like mom.

Elena is chewing Omar out about Vivi. He smiles and knocks on a door. Vivi is an elderly seamstress. Oops. Omar gets down on his knees and asks Elena to marry him. She says yes.

Luci and Gaby are praying the rosary for Karina. Roberto gets a call from Victoria. In her car was travel reservations for her and Gaby and a bag full of money. Also the street cameras confirm that the car sped up to hit her. Roberto realizes they wanted to kill her.

Omar is retelling the story of Elena's mistake to a laughing Susana and Daniel. Pato knocks on the door. He's there to see Daniel.

At the hospital Chofis shows up with a bag of knitting to keep vigil with Luci and Gabi. Roberto is outside the hospital. Karina car has appeared there, or perhaps just the contents from her trunk were put in his car. He removes her cell from an evidence bag and after a few tries unlocks it. Edgar is the one who messaged her last.

 

Karsu

More revelations, which I’m trying to figure out! Can you help?

So Kadir is the guy who got out of prison and now seems to be gunning for Attila. The two men told Attila that Kadir had done something to one of their locations. They used the verb allanar. I looked that up and it could be level or flatten, or it could mean break into. Do any of you know what was meant?

I had to back up the recording a few times to make out what had happened to Attila’s brother. It sounded like they said he was living in exile, then I think they said Attila was ordered by his dad to execute him.

Then towards the end, the two guys tell Attila that Kadir is on his way and Attila seems like he can’t wait to get his hands on him. The guys said to look out, he has no honor. So is he a former member of our mafia group who did something disloyal, or is he a rival?

Did the guys build a tree house for Deniz? If so, where?

It looks like Imek might actually divorce Adnan, and that it’s not just a bluff. I’m not liking her. Well at least we found out that the sisters were once extremely close. Also, everyone keeps saying how cold it is, but that didn’t seem to bother Adnan who was having a nice evening glass of wine by the water, sweater only.

I really enjoy Cedvet, his newfound love of books, his new revelations from what he’s reading, and his basic sweetness. I also get a kick out of Attila’s wardrobe when he’s in his incognito mode – his pants really are schlumpy. Speaking of incognito, why would he want to accompany Karsu to the police?


 

Karsu

Maggie I got the same take as you about Atilla's brother. Sounds like brother did something against the family code of honor and the father ordered Atilla to kill his brother. Cevdet has been reading psych type books it seems. He thinks Atilla is so interested in Karsu because they both have (had) problems with their sibling. This guy needs to go to college and get a degree in something helpful for humanity. Cevdet thinks the outcome of Osan being beat up would have been different if they had been on the job. It could have been if those two had broken up the beating and not Atilla, or at the least been the ones to check on his wellbeing since Atilla was known to Osan.

Tilsim seems to be feeling a bit of remorse for tattling, but not enough as she is now telling Reha about Irmak divorcing Adnan. Reha was funny telling Lale about it, those crazy sisters divorcing their husbands. He and Adnan are bound to become best buddies over this in his mind. I do like Lale. She has no illusions to how idiotic her brother is. So I'm betting Reha is moving in to the vacated house next to Karsu since he told Tilsim he was moving closer than she could imagine.

Ce det and the other guy were getting a couple of helpers to rebuild the treehouse in their housing complex. Atilla told them to put up tents to be hidden from sight as they repaired it. I question how this was accomplished as it was done overnight, which means lights and power tools and most likely hammering, though screws would be quieter. It really seems implausible, but as noted it is winter so probably not too many of the ho.eowners are wandering around at night.

Kadir likely is from a rival gang. I'm sure we will learn more in subsequent episodes.

I also don't see why Atilla is going with Karsu to the police. I think he just can't stay away from her he likes her so much. His henchman really think he needs to move from this hidey hole, but I'm sure he won't go.

Looks like Feliz is getting a new act for the Valentine's music night. Ipek found someone at a nightclub that fits the bill.

I had to laugh when Atilla told Cevdet and the other guy to clean up before the cleaning lady showed up. I always said if I ever hired a house cleaner I would need to clean before they came so I didn't look bad. The dust and hair that 2 Golden's and an unpaved driveway kick up is astonishing. Not to mention the mud my husband drags in from his construction job and me from my gardens.... I've never been the neatest housekeeper, but now I "work" full time babysitting I have a really hard time keeping up. And my incipient hoarder tendencies for anything craft related with limited closet space is a challenge. I'm always trying to find something when I get a creative urge and then the totes or drawers seem to explode!
 

Karsu

I forgot to mention the bookstore customers. It seemed like Cevdet and co. hired an acting troupe to go to the store in a slow stream. Maybe Feliz and Ipek and Türkan have friends that like to read and the clients will find her store.

It can't be that cold, we aren't seeing the actors breath in the outside scenes.

Thanks so much, once again, Jarifa. Your notes from the couch were outstanding. I’m glad Estrella overheard the conversation between Erika and Teresita. I thought we’d have to wait a lot longer for Estrella to find out.

Sergio is just slimy. Saying she kept him in the dark about his daughter when he never wanted her born! And now trying to come between them. I wonder if he’ll try for custody, although he needs a family, not just a child. Maybe he hopes if he gets Azul Estrella will decide to come too.

I’m glad Yazmin and Fabian are now getting along. And she lights up when Oliver is there.

The mystery deepens with Gabriel. He did not want to deal with his former friend. Diane, it never occurred to me Gabriel might not be the father! I was trying to figure out how the guy could have helped him. I was thinking the mother was not a nice person and he left with Iker. Guess we’ll have to be patient.

In the. beach scene with Valentine watching Perla I was struck by her beauty. I thought she was pretty but she’s really beyond that. I can see her with Pascual, as they both are shy and probably haven’t gone out with others.

Thanks Kat, that was excellent. I could almost feel sorry for Enrique. He still thinks he’ll win with his crazy wife and son, and sister-in-law isn’t living in reality either. She has no idea how crazy her son is. And thinks Enrique can fix everything.

I think Memo also plans to kill Roberto and Luciana. We know what happened to Francisco when he went after Luciana!

I was surprised Enrique ordered the hit on Karina. I’m thinking he was a decent man at the beginning of his campaign, but maybe I’m wrong. I know he was in on the coverup for the car accident, but thought cheating on his wife was his worse sin. But we didn’t know then that he was a serial cheater!

I heard something about building a tree house for Deniz, or fixing one that was there. It really made no sense. But I guess they’re doing that.

I also understood that Atilla was ordered to kill his brother. I like the exile interpretation better!

Reha did seem to feel bad when he heard Deniz’s “dad” was missing. He seems almost gleeful that Imek is divorcing Annan. When he made the phone call in the restaurant to his henchmen I thought he was calling Annan to talk about the divorce. That would let the household know there’s a spy among them!
But I can’t see divorcing your husband, that’s not going to change what she did in the first place.

I agree that Reha is moving into the neighborhood. How uncomfortable for Karsu. And not to good for Atilla either. Reha will be sticking his nose in everybody’s business.

Regarding the bookstore, it seems like people on the street would notice the store and walk in. Are they planning to pay people daily to walk in and buy books! They need a better business plan!

Kat – thank you so much! I too was wondering how they were going to do tree-house work in the middle of the night. Particularly with Filiz so vigilant. Not much escapes her.

I’m thinking the conversation between the two henchman went like this: Our budding scholar said he wished it had been them in the car when Ozan was getting beaten up, and then the older guy said the outcome would have been the same because Ozan recognized el jefe. But yes, if Attila had stayed in the car it could have played out that way.

I’m wondering how thugs find their target so easily. Reha probably knows only Ozan’s first name and wouldn’t know where he lives. He wouldn’t have a picture of him. And yet the thugs found him on very short notice!

I like Lale too! She’s one of my favorite characters. I love her good-natured pragmatism. Can you imagine having that jerk staying in your apartment?

That was funny, the guys having to clean up before the cleaning lady came. I get it though. I have a cleaning lady every other week and the day before I have to clear the decks – get all the papers off the counters, etc. Of course I don’t have a broken mirror in the bathroom. My friends with cleaning ladies joke about all the work they do before they come. Still, it’s good to have to do that so that things don’t pile up.

No wonder you don’t have more time for crafts! Babysitting and then whipping up the fabulous recaps! Amazing!

Liz – I don’t get the divorce idea either. I was surprised when Attila came up with it, and even more surprised that Imek is considering it. I don’t see how that will remedy anything.


 

OT
Maggie, my passion is actually gardening so the housework seriously suffers. I'm still adapting to this SC climate. I try not to water (only one outside spigot on our 1917 home and I leave too early in the morning to do much. The roots develop better if they go deep looking for water). This year I'm actually getting a successful crop. I have green beans and cucumbers coming out my ears. I make sweet bread and butter pickles that I like, I do not like dill pickles but my daughter's family does so I may try my hand at them this weekend. I prefer frozen beans so they get blanched and put in freezer bags. I'm actually experimenting putting them in used spaghetti sauce mason type jars to cut down on plastic usage. Hoping that is a success. I've also picked and put up 6 quarts of blueberries so far. At this rate my freezer may not be big enough! If we have another week long + power outage this year I'll be mad.

Diana, so true : “ Expect the Unexpected”. it had never occurred to me that Gabriel might not be Iker’s father although I was starting to have questions about the story about his mother. Gabriel looked like he had broken out in a cold sweat afraid and was guilty of something if nothing else, of keeping a serious secret. Yazmín’s change in attitude was a little too quick for me to believe but hey, this kinder version is easier to watch.

Liz, “Sergio is just slimy.” I hope he doesn’t try to get custody of Azul either but am afraid that the harder Estrella fights to keeps him away the quicker he will go in that direction but first there has to be those paternity test results. Probably won’t take long. I, too, was happy that we didn’t have to wait too long for Estrella to find out who contacted Sergio. Now, what will Estrella do?

Excellent comments today! I'm still sad about Ozan, and Atilla is really suffering about it. By the way, I googled it, and Mr. Google says Atilla in Turkish can be spelled with either two t's or two l's.

Allanar is a term I've often heard in novelas when the cops show up with a search warrant. It means search, break into, or raid. I had the impression the guys meant that Kadir or his henchies broke into something owned by Atilla's gang. Remember when Atilla was in a shootout a while back? I think that involved that other gang.

I also heard that Atilla might have killed his own brother at his father's orders. I guess that's the mafiosi code, but what an awful burden to bear.

I also love Cevdet. He's adorable, and it's hard for me to imagine him beating the crap out of someone, even when he says he'd have been better at it.

Just when I can't stand Tilsim, she does something sweet, like helping Deniz with his homework.

Liz, I didn't think Reha felt bad about Ozan being missing, rather that he was concerned it might come back to bite him in the tush.

I'm still confused about Ozan being afraid of Atilla. He just had a cordial introduction to him. The two men smiled at each other. IIRC Atilla approached him alone and began talking about getting him to a hospital. He had the slicked back hair and different clothes, but why would Ozan think he had been part of the attack?
 

Karsu

Novelera, I think the blows to his head confused ozan and he thought Atilla was part of the beating. He was in defense mode lying on the ground and may not have seen Atilla fight the other two and sending them scurrying. I agree Reha was afraid the guys he hired may have gone too far and killed Osan, which is a possibility with the way they were wailing on him, he could easily have cracked his skull hitting the ground. He doesn't care that he's gone, just that it may be traced back to him.
 

Karsu #31

While it's fresh on my mind ... Türkan : I'll start my diet Monday. Checks BMI?..."it's mostly water weight" had me cracking up. The sisters having a cat fight with hair pulling got me too. Then Feliz threatened them with her shoe.

Yup, Reha moves in, with Hande and Türkan tells her to go to hell! Sweet Türkan apparently never uses bad language like that. Karsu did have a point when Irmak was shocked that Reha brought Hande to live with him when she said it's no different than what you did to mom....

Now time for the Juegos recap ...
 

A.MAR #27 Parte 1 Notes from the Couch . . . and a good watch from the couch it was!

Estrella and Erika
An enraged momma bear AKA Estrella confronts Erika about putting Sergio in contact with her daughter. Erika tries every which way she can to deny that she did it but Estrella will not be convinced. She knows they are all lies.Estrella also realizes that Erika blabbing her personal business is how Sergio knew about her debt with the union. Estrella makes sure that Erika knows that the worst thing she did was manipulating the most sacred person in her life: her daughter. She will never forgive her for that.

Later, Teresita tells Erika, in case she had not realized it yet, that now Estrella has no reason not to pursue a relationship with Fabián because they are no longer friends. What's more, she thinks that Estrella and Fabián will end up together. Erika doesn't like hearing that.

Estrella and Azul
Estrella explains to a still sullen Azul that she will not stand in her way if she wants a relationship with her father. She was upset because Azul went behind her back. Azul says she did that because she was afraid she would never see her father again. Azul asks if her mother will ever forgive her. Estrella says of course she forgives her but they need to go about seeing her father in the right way.

Estrella and Fabián
Meche tells Estrella that she needs to pursue her own happiness because she deserves that as the woman she is and that nobody is going to do it for her.

Estrella tells Fabián all about Erika and the other challenges she has had to faced. She is feeling overwhelmed. He offers to help her through it all with his love and a kiss. She is now open to pursuing a relationship with him. They kiss some more.

Sergio
Sergio meets with Juanjo. He tells him to send any environmental information that the company has to his daughter. She is into environmental issues. He should have the results from the paternity test within 24 hours. If Azul is his, then he will have to play father and house with Azul and Estrella to meet his father's demand. If Estrella doesn't go along, he will have to take drastic measures like taking Azul away from her. He can pay any judge to do his bidding and wants Juanjo to arrange that his lawyer, the best lawyer tin Mexico, Victoria come to see him. He is planning on staying there in town a couple of weeks. He also asks Juanjo to find out all he can about Fabián.

Gabriel and Marina and Brisa
Marina decides to take the name Marina over Antonia. She is disappointed not to have discovered more about her past because she is sure she has a child out there. Gabriel is worried about what will happen if a man, a husband from her past appears. He is worried because he loves her so much. She has decided to start her life anew but will never give up looking for her child. She assures him that he is the man she is in love with now and she is not going anywhere. They kiss and Brisa sees them. Brisa throws a pathetic tantrum and Gabriel has to hold her back from attacking Marina. Gabriel apologizes for the umpteenth time and tells Brisa that the fact of the matter is that he fell in love with Marina. She cries asking why he couldn't fall in love with her and predicts that Marina will never love him.

Marina accepts Gabriel's proposal to be novios.

Later, Gabriel tells Iker that he and Marina are novios. Iker knew that would happen since the day his father rescued her from the sea. Iker is happy. The three of them hug.
 

A.MAR Parte 2

Everything Else

Perla keeps showing up at Valentín's to help him out. He is more and more aware of how attracted he is to her. He is falling in love with her. How can he betray his BFF Pascual?

Oliver wants video proof that Javier is cheating on Yazmín. He follows Javier with a girl and it looks like they are more than friends. He is recording them. Javier confronts him and calls Yazmín on the spot to tell her that Oliver is following him as he is going to a study group with a classmate. He ahdns the phone to Oliver who tries to explain but Yazmín believes Javier over him. She tells Oliver that after his antics they cannot even be friends now.

Meche tells the still crying and raging Brisa that what is past is past and that revenge is never a good response.

Sergio calls his father to let him know where he is. He explains he is going to be there in town a couple of weeks because Beatriz's death really hit him hard. He is also looking into fishing businesses. He only wants his father's help. After the call, Sergio mutters that his father is a stupid man.
 

A.MAR

Another good one.

I think that Teresita is one of my favorite characters here. She is the conscience that Erika never had.

Hmm, I didn't realize or remember that Hector was apparently undercover in the campaign job. He's tells Roberto that he was in a relationship with Karina and that she was afraid for her life and wanted to get away. I've forgotten, is he the one that gave her money. Half the time I don't remember the minor characters names so checking notes won't help.

Pato apologizes for Adrian, he gives Elena a note that Adrian wrote to give them. Daniel refused to take it. Pato also apologizes but they say he and Luci were innocent caught up in the family lies and not guilty so no forgiveness needed.

After Pato leaves Daniel is angry because he will never forget Tobias. His parents advise him forgiveness is good for his soul, but none of us will forget Tobias.

Roberto forces his way into Enrique's office (he's writing his acceptance speech). He accused him of hiring the hit man on Karina because she was selling damaging information to his opponent.

Pato is back at the hospital with Chofi, Luci and a sleeping Gaby. The surgeon comes out and says the surgery was a success. Gaby has awoken, that means mom will be ok? Silence. Chofis takes her to the chapel to pray so Luci and Pato can get the truth. Sounds like they won't know the extent of her injury until she awakens.

Enrique accuses Roberto of having conspiracy theories. He opens the door to throw him out, Roberto holds a gun to his head. Enrique says in 24 hours I'll be president and you will be in jail. Roberto gets a call from Luci. Karina is ok. He lowes his gun and leaves. German comes in, why was the fiscal here? Enrique groans. He accused me of being behind Karina's accident. German says why you? Enrique gives him a look like, can you be that stupid? He then fills German in on what Karina was up to and that Hector is her lover. German thinks the info hasn't made it to Navarez or it would be all over the net. I think Enrique is concerned she may still talk, German is on it.

The note was for Daniel and Adrian tells him that Alex loves him and was always afraid of losing him when he learned the truth.

Looks like Karina will need a caregiver. Pato asks Rob if Karina testifies about what dad did can you arrest him. Roberto doesn't think it will happen in time. Once he's elected....he has promised to ruin my career.

Fabiola wakes dad up to send him to bed( he's sleeping in a chair). He wakes up. She is back!!!! Manalo calls for Natalia.

Roberto can't forgive Karina for endangering his daughter. If she recovers she is going to jail. The two resolve all their diff and can't live without each other. HEA #1.

A German shepherd in the woods digs up.a hand, I guess Francisco has been located.

Wacky Ines is throwing kisses to herself in the mirror talking to a vision of papa. She's going to be the first Lady. She goes downstairs all excited asking Enrique, do you like my dress. Luci arrives and she is so happy to see her. Let's all vote as a family. She leaves the room; Lucia noting her strange behavior. Enrique kinda threatens Luci about Roberto. She tells him the blood of her parents stained the business. Enrique says I didn't know about the money initially. Luci asks why didn't you report it once you found out? He says nothing. You are selfish and only think of yourself. You may win today but You have lost your family, your wife and me.

Victoria and Roberto have a search warrant. Mariana let's them in. You'll find nothing to incriminate Memo.

Jarifa, thank you for another excellent recap. You captured the essence of tonight's episode spectacularly.

It was so refreshing to see such sweet ardor between Fabian and Estrella and Gabriel and Marina. Finally, some real romantic moments.
 
Gabriel is literally burning for Marina. I could not believe that Brisa, witnessing such passionate kisses, did not immediately turn on her heel and leave. Instead, she confronts them, dressing down Gabriel then practically lurches at Marina to attack her! Even Gabriel telling her he loves Marina doesn't deter her. Does she have no pride at all??

I liked Gabriel asking Marina to be his novia in front of Iker, who was delighted along with myself. 😊

I savored "Teresita tells Erika, in case she had not realized it yet, that now Estrella has no reason not to pursue a relationship with Fabián." Thanks to Erika, Estrella now has a clear and guilt free path to Fabian! So happy Erika's plan backfired. I can't imagine what Erika will do now to try and recapture Fabian but sadly, as there are over 60 episodes left, I'm sure she will come up with something!

I really thought Oliver was going to catch Javier red handed. Too bad things got turned around on him and that Jaz believed Javier. Oliver needs to think fast and recover his friendship with Jaz. I am sure Javier will do something soon to incriminate and reveal himself to be the loathsome creep he is.

I smiled at the cute scene where Valentin was staring at Perla, envisioning her posing and preening for him. He's totally smitten.

Sergio is already forging ahead with his nefarious plan...Azul certainly opened up Pandora's box.

Jarifa, thank you for all of your work on this; I always learn so much I couldn't glean from watching.

Juegos #69 part 2

The Saldana family are at the memorial site for Toby. Susy hopes he is watching over Mario from heaven. Elena and Omar say we are getting married again and we hope we have your blessing. Dani says I'm heading to Barcelona but I'll hold you in my heart. Alex pulls up with her dad. She has flowers but Dani tells her to git. They leave.

Yay, the secret drawer is discovered. Mariana is shocked but won't tell them where to find memo. Get out of my house she cries. They leave with a box of things they found. Another policeman shows up. Francisco's body has been found.

Gaby and Luci get to view Karina in ICU. The Dr talks to Gaby. She wants to call dad.

Enrique and Ines vote with the press reporting on it. Paper ballots are used. Do they fingerprint them afterwards? The two show their thumbs.

Roberto gets a call from Gaby. He gets out of his car. Looks like Mariana driving up and parking nearby. Wonder if they are at the polling place. Gaby says mom opened her eyes and the Dr thinks it's a good sign. Victoria and Roberto walk away from their car. Windows are cracked open several inches. If the proof is in the car still this is not good. Roberto tells Luci Francisco has been found. She can't even cry for him. He also tells her they found proof memo killed galleta. How do you know? We found her collar and photos he kept like a trophy.

Yup they are at the polling place. Mariana comes up to Enrique who just made a speech to the press. They found proof against Memo and took them away. Roberto comes up to them. Francisco has been found...he was assassinated. Mariana gasps and leans against the wall.

Mateo gets a ten year sentence for his crimes. Clara and perhaps her mother walk away with smiles. Dani hugs her. He's glad justice was served.

Roberto tells Enrique more about the crime as coocoo Ines says I saw dad this morning, he's fine! German seems to be shadowing her to keep her in line. Roberto stares at Ines as she walks away. Roberto needs a family member to id the body but Enrique is still in campaign mode. Hell make Mariana do it. Do what you have to. Cry, faint...hell get Memo out of the country. Memo, in his hideaway, is watching his phone about the election. I guess he wants to go vote. Enrique calls him. They found Francisco and proof of your crimes at your house. What were you thinking keeping Fabiola's cellphone and photos of the dog you killed? Memo, sitting on a chair on the patio is also waving his gun around..he apologizes. Enrique says stay there I'm sending someone for you. Keeping you safe is my priority.


 

Juegos #69 part 3.

German speaks with Enrique. Karina is being guarded. Ines is a loose cannon disconnected from reality. This worries Enrique a bit German asks did Memo really kill Francisco? Not sure if German is going to deal with Memo.

Ooh, we get a wedding today. Dani walks Elena down the aisle. Omar and Elena have written their own sweet vows. The church is pretty.

At the precinct Roberto and Q talk about Francisco being found. A policeman comes in. They've found the engineer they have been searching for one the frontier I think. Q says finally some good news. German seems to have been eavesdropping. Q is going to organize the transfer. Well maybe German is going to redeem himself. He tells Roberto he knows who killed Francisco.

Back to the wedding reception Clara is Daniel 's date. He tells her about the letter he got from Adrian. He is going to Barcelona to get over Alex. Clara tells him in your heart you want Alex, and she is crazy for you.

German tells Roberto how Memo was furious at Francisco for keeping him from being recognized as a Ferrer. He's very violent. That's why I think he killed Francisco (he may not be redeeming himself, perhaps this is what Enrique wants him to say). He overheard Mariana call memo at the cabin. Ah it's the same place Leo was killed. Perez, the other police a has been in on this convo. Roberto tells him to get Jimenez. Perez finds Victoria and tells her they think they know where memo is and he killed Francisco. Mariana is walking up the stairs and hears him. She calls Memo. Get out of there. No, dad told me to stay put. Enrique told herman where you are and the fiscal is coming for you. Memo drops his phone and fires some shots on the air in his fury.

German reports back to Enrique. The fiscal is headed for the cabin. He wants memo to be dead by apparent suicide. German tells him about the engineer being found. Enrique isn't worried. I guess he's whitewashed the books. Or he's going to be president and is above the law. Enrique gets a call. The guy he sent for Memo (to kill him) says he's gone. Enrique says find him and kill him.

Luci seems to have police protection also. She returns home. The guy is texting someone when Memo hits him over the head with the butt of his handgun. Meanwhile Roberto and his contingent come up empty at the cabin.

Luci is heading back to the hospital. Pato will go with her. Not so fast. Memo grabs her and trains his gun on her. Pato tells him to let her go. Brother says why do you stick up for her. Bam. He shoots Pato.

Ines is spinning in an office chair waving a flag ( I bet the actress is enjoy this role. ). German comes in to speak with Enrique. The Early returns are in and Ferrer is predicted to win. Cheers all around campaign headquarters. Enrique gets a call. It's Memo. Enrique wishes he were there to celebrate with him. Memo says I'm already celebrating. I killed Pato and your dear Luciana is next.
