So far, we don't have a Monday recapper. I have decided on Wednesday. Babachita has volunteered to get us started on Tuesdays. She posted about not having time for full recaps, just something to get the comments flowing.

So, Monday is wide open for either a volunteer recapper or, I suppose, just anyone who wants to chime in about what they see tonight.

lejos

I can do a Friday recap that will be up over the weekend after I post my KPA recap on Saturday.

lejos

Thanks, dondi. You always light up my Saturdays! I started KPA once. It looked great, but I was pretty jammed for time and didn't stay with it. If my book groups would STOP choosing 400–500-page tomes, maybe I'd find time to give it another try.

Things that stood out to me from last night:

Kadir and the other bodyguards that are very close to Cihan have been following Alya and are becoming fond of her. This follows a pattern from other dizis, like La Familia and Karsu, where the closest henchmen to the protagonists seem to be nicer muscle guys.

Last night, Kadir, the big guy, advocated for Alya with Cihan, convincing him to pay for her hotel. Arguing with your boss in that world would be dangerous, so these guys are like family. Maybe they are family, even!

I loved the scene when Alya throws the money to the crowd!

Later, Sadakat shows video of this to Cihan hoping to get Alya in trouble. Instead, Cihan smiles slightly and says she has her carácter, which he seems to like.

I think Mine has the same dubber as Karsu, Kat.

I’m still confused about the deal with Demir’s father. The grenade was effective, but watching it kept me from understanding all the transaction.

Babachita, I think I have a tiny grasp of what the "grenade encounter" was about. Nadim had called for Cihan to come to his konak (thanks, dondi) to try to broker peace. He swore that he had nothing to do with the firing on the Albora truck. What definitely confused me is that, IIRC, Cihan mentioned the driver being killed in that incident. Were there two different trucks? Is Telemundo already cutting things? As we clearly saw, Cihan, with a bullet wound not yet healed, rescued the truck driver.

The outcome of that meeting seemed to be that Nadim insisted that the one behind the attack was Ecmel Albora, Cihan's imprisoned uncle. Cihan went to see him in prison. Can't remember exactly what he said, but he snarled in rage at his nephew, probably denying it. This is the first time I've seen Müfit Kayacan as a villain. I'd love to look up the other, kindly elderly man roles I've seen him in, but the wiki confuses me because the list of dizis is in Turkish and I know them by their Spanish titles.

We definitely saw Cihan as a tough guy. He told Nadim (and Demir, who'd joined them a bit later) that he'd kill off every adult Baybars, leaving only orphans if there were further attacks. Anyone who believes Demir will abide by this, raise your hand. Anyone?

Alya is in quite the pickle. Cihan was not surprised she stayed in Turkey. He predicted it. And, yes, he admires her strength as a mother (and maybe other things as well). She seemed to have enough cash to pay for one night at the hotel. What? Sadakat has videos of the public square in Mardin?

Also, Sadakat joined forces with Sahin's mother (sorry, don't have her name down pat yet) to say that Kaya could not be with Zerrin, who ended up saying she didn't love him. God, I wish they'd explain these things. Is it because they're cousins, just like Sahin and Nare? Apparently, Zerrin is Sahin's sister.

Alya got nowhere with the Canadian consulate. They could not interfere and referred her to the police.

Oh, Sadakat wants Sahin banished from his employment, or whatever role he has. Probably a combination of wanting him away from Nare and perhaps blaming him for accidentally pushing Nare. Cihan told him it was an accident and he's still on the Albora team.

That's about all that comes to my mind.

lejos

Thanks for getting us started, Babachita. Thanks for the additions, novelera.

It was Kadir who paid the bill at the hotel but it was the other guy who made the case to help Alya. He sympathized because he has a daughter.

And I noticed Cihan’s slight smile at the video, too. His usual look signals a bad case of indigestion.

Nadim also said he wants to continue moving the merch through Albora land and thought that would stop the attacks. He would keep everything under control and maybe catch any troublemakers. He offered Cihan a percentage of the transactions.

Nadim said Ecmel was possibly involved, like he heard the name mentioned. Cihan questioned this because Ecmel is behind bars. The question was/is, did Ecmel have help on the outside? Demir looked very suspicious, maybe he had something to do with it.

I thought the truck driver was rescued, too, but maybe he died of his injuries later. It didn’t matter that much to me to check. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut some stuff already.

About Kaya and Zerrin: not unusual for first cousins marry in this area. I’ve seen it in other dizis. I think it’s a Kurdish thing. To keep it all in the family, so to speak. Maybe it has something to do with what happened to Ecmel. These two families hate each other.

Lejos

I assumed it was a different truck driver in a separate accident that was killed. I'm still trying to figure out the relationships and kinship in this.

I think I read that, as we have seen with other Dizis, each episode is 2 hours in Turkey. Are they condensing it to 1 hour or splitting it to 2 days. I'm sure they remove 15 minutes or more for commercials so things are likely cut.

Whoever commented about Sadakat complaining that Alya wasn't wearing the scarf (can't spell it's real name without looking it up) is right about Nare not wearing one. Nor is Zerrin. Maybe it's more required if you are widowed?

lejos

Kat, they are splitting the Turkish episodes, and they could be making edits. I watched the first few episodes when this came out last season. I haven’t reached past what I’ve seen. They might be making edits but probably not big edits yet.

I don’t think Sadakat was complaining that Alya wasn’t wearing a hijab or requiring it. My take was that Sadakat was responding to impudent Alya, who said, “what century is this? What kind of thinking is this? This world no longer exists.” Sadakat answered, “Be glad [this world no longer exists], if it did, I’d put a bullet between your eyes.”

From what I’ve been told it’s a woman’s personal choice to wear a hijab. I suppose if you are from a very conservative, religious culture, you might be forced to wear it or else.

lejos

I read everybody’s comments with great interest. I’m totally lost on who’s who (except the main characters) and what their names are and how this whole feud thing works, but I’m absolutely loving just looking at the scenery and the architecture. I am very taken with how all the buildings in town are the same color. I do love the bright colors buildings are painted in the Mexican shows, but the way the structures here blend into the warm color of the sandy terrain here is so beautiful. Everything melts together in a soft glow. There are awnings that provide a splash of color here and there in the town, but just a little. It’s like the buildings just organically grew out of the land, not like they’re separate things that sit on it.

A question: A couple of times tonight when somebody would ask Cihan a question, he’d respond by going tsk. What does that mean for the Turks?

Lejos de Ti - Uzak Zehir
Episode 6 #1
“Hard Decision”

From the previous episode: At the Albora konak, Cihan receives a call that his men have found Isset leaving one city; Cihan tells them to take their prisoner to another city. [These captions must be AI generated. When I saw this broadcast between 9 and 10 CDT, the captions gave one pair of names for the cities. When I went back about an hour later to write the episode up, they used two different names. I guess all four towns are not too far from Mardin, and we’ll leave it at that!]
Sadakat comes downstairs. Cihan tells his mother they found Isset and there will be no minefields this time. She asks if he saw Nardin. He says yes, but that they will talk about it later.
Cihan: First, I need to see Cihan Jr.
Sadakat: Did he call you? He’s been crying for his mother the whole time.
Cihan: That’s normal. She’s his mother.
Sadakar: His mother?
She shows him the video that someone sent her of Alya throwing the money in Mardin.
He notes that she has a temper, but he gives that little smile.
Sadakat: As long as she’s still here, he will keep asking for her. If she didn’t have money, she should have left. Why did you pay for her hotel?
Cihan: She didn’t even accept it, Mom.
Sadakat: That woman is wearing out my patience. I don’t know what to do with her.
Cihan: Mom, don’t interfere anymore? Did you hear me, I will repeat it again: Don’t interfere! I’ll be in charge of this.
Sadakar: How are you going to do that? Are you going to marry her, son?

Episode 6 begins:
Cihan: Where is Cihan Jr?
Sadakar doesn’t answer.
Cihan says thanks [more like thanks a lot] and goes upstairs to Cihan Jr’s room.
Pakize is trying to get Cihan Jr to play a video game.
Cihan Jr: No, I miss my mother. I liked playing with her.
Pakize: Yes, I understand, I’m just asking….
In walks Cihan and sits on the bed, making ribbit sounds because he has brought Cihan Jr a frog game that he had asked for. It doesn’t work. Cihan Jr just looks sad. He doesn’t want to play, he wants to see his mother.
Cihan: Cihan Jr, remember how you mother said she wanted to leave, but you wanted to stay with us?
Cihan Jr: Now I don’t, I want my mother. I miss her.
Cihan Jr asks his uncle to put Alya’s phone number into his phone, the one that Cihan had given him. He calls his mother.
She answers and hears his voice: Mama?
He repeats it again. She is overcome with emotion and doesn’t answer.
Cihan Jr: I miss you so much. Where are you? If you can hear me, where are you?
She doesn’t answer. I find this odd, but perhaps she has agreed not to talk to him? Or maybe she doesn’t want him to know she is crying.
Cihan Jr: Come for me, please.
She continues to cry and look at the phone.
He hands the phone to his uncle, saying that his mother won’t say anything. Maybe she can’t hear me, he wonders.
Cihan: Hello, Alya?
Alya: Hang up the phone, Cihan. She cries.
Cihan Jr: Why did my mother not want to talk to me, uncle?

Episode 6 #2

Cihan: I’m sure she was having a problem with her cell service and couldn’t hear you.
Sadakat enters.
Cihan Jr: Grandmother, I really want to talk with my mother. Why did she leave and go to Canada, leaving me here?
Sadakat likes: Yes, dear, she went to Canada.
Cihan Jr: But she can’t leave me here, grandmother.
He runs out of the room.
Cihan is very upset and asks his mother how she could say something so upsetting to a little boy.
What is wrong with you?
Sadakat: You started it. He is not allowed to speak to her and needs to get used to it.
Cihan leaves the room to look for Cihan Jr.
He picks up the boy and comforts him.
Cihan: Your mother left because she had things to do, but afterwards, she will come back for you.
Cihan Jr: Go get my mother, Uncle Cihan, or if you can’t, take me to her.
Sadakat has come down the stairs and joins in the conversation [uninvited].
Sadakat: Cihan, listen to me. Ummu just prepared your favorite food. Why don’t you go down with her to eat?
Cihan Jr: No. I don’t want to eat; I want to see my mother.
Sadakat picks him up, saying that one plate is made with rich chocolate, and that Ummu made it just for him. She carries him part of the way downstairs, before telling him she can’t carry him the whole way and so she puts him down.
Cihan is on the phone trying to get Alya to answer with little luck. She finally answers him.
Cihan: Why don’t you answer the phone? Your son misses hearing the sound of your voice. He just wanted to speak with you. You couldn’t have said two words?
Alya: Do you want me to lie to him? To say, I’ll be with you soon, son? He asked me to come to him and I can’t. He’s just a child. He doesn’t understand these things. He just wants his mother like I want to be with my son. But, since I can’t set foot where he is, I want you to bring him here.
Cihan: Alya, it would be better if we can discuss this calmly. OK?
Alya: Bring me my son. You know he has to be by my side. So, until you bring him to me, I won’t respond to the phone. This is very hard for me, but I won’t give up. I know my son cannot be without me, so I want you to bring him.
Cihan: Understand that you alone can’t protect him. Demir is unpredictable.
Alya: What’s he going to do? Kill me? Let him. Then you’d be rid of your problems. Tell your men to stop watching me. Why do they bother keeping watch over me?
Cihan: You’re so upset that you’re not thinking clearly. You need to be reasonable. Come to the mansion and care for your son. I will convince my mother, and in case you were wondering, I am not marrying you.
Alya: What if you can’t convince her? I can’t live in that mansion nor can my son. Why is it so hard for you to see it from my perspective? Try to put yourself in my shoes. I think I’ve suffered enough. Nothing gives you the right to put my son through this cruelty. I’ll be waiting for you to bring him to me.
They hang up.
Cihan has a way of exhaling air fast, almost like spitting, and he does so now.

Upstairs, Cihan reads his nephew a book; it looks like The Little Prince.
Cihan Jr: My mother did not talk to me. Is it because I wanted to stay here when she asked me?
Cihan: No, that has nothing to do with it. I already explained that she probably wasn’t getting a signal.
Cihan Jr: I love my mother very much. Do you?
Cihan dodges the question, but Cihan Jr repeats this question.
Cihan: Of course I love your mother very much.
He smiles at his nephew who looks happier.
Cihan: Cihan, I’m curious. May I ask you a question? Where is your mother’s family?

Babachita

Episode 6 #3

Your grandparents. Where are they?
Cihan Jr: You mean my family in Canada?
Cihan: The mother of your mother is Canadian?
Ciuhan Jr: Yes, but after mom was born, she became very sick and died.
Cihan: I’m sorry. One last question? Does your mother have any family living here in Turkiye?
Cihan Jr: That I don’t know.
Cihan: You don’t know. OK. Aren’t you sleepy yet? Are we going to stay up talking ‘til the sun comes out?
Cihan Jr nods.
Cihan: Go to sleep. You need to sleep well.
He fixes his pillow and settles him. Cihan Jr asks him to stay with him until he falls asleep. He agrees.

Alya is sleeping and her cell rings. She reads a text from Ozcan that they will meet with a lawyer in the downtown cafe at 8 AM. We will meet with the lawyer Bahadir Karajan. She agrees to meet there.

Downstairs, Cihan, Kaya and Sadakat are talking. Cihan reports that after what Nadim (Demir’s father) told him at the grenade meeting, he went to the prison to see his Uncle Ecmel, who denied what Nadim said.
Kaya: He owns some Albora territory. Why would he sabotage himself?
Sadakar: That man is capable of anything, and we know it.
Cihan: Sahin shouldn’t find out.
Sadakar doesn’t agree: He should know.
Cihan: Mom, we have no other evidence except for Nadim’s word. Sahin will claim that Nadim’s just slandering him.
Sadakar: Doesn’t he know what his father did?
Cihan: Listen, we won’t tell Sahin until this is all cleared up. (He looks at his mother): What’s wrong with you?
Kahya: Mom went to Fidan’s house.
You already heard Fidan telling Sahin, why do you keep suffering over Nare? She won’t give you children and I don’t want her for a daughter-in-law.
Kaya: That’s enough, Mom. I understand, you don’t have to repeat it.
Sadakar: Nare’s doctor called. He said she might be discharged tomorrow, but her condition is still delicate. If we pressure her, she might lose the baby. What are we going to do if she wants to go back to that idiot Ozkan?

We see Nare in her hospital bed. The nurse brings in a basket full of gorgeous oranges. She is very affected by the oranges, and peels one.

FLASHBACK: Eight years before, we see Sahin standing in the street, waiting, while Nare sneaks up behind him, throwing oranges to him. He goes to her, but she runs away, dropping oranges every couple of feet.
Where did you get these beautiful oranges, he asks? She said she picked them up on the way. You can see they are very much in love. He lifts her up and twirls her around until she drops the basket with the oranges.

Back to present time, she is peeling one of the oranges from the basket that was delivered.
Sahim says to himself: Just do it, Nare. Throw them, and I will know (that she is his, probably).
She leaves the window.

Episode 6 #4

The older henchman, the one who has a daughter and a soft spot for Alya, walks in the konak of the Alboras.
Good evening, he says, to Sadakat, Cihan, and Kaya.
He reports: We didn’t see Demir or his men nearby. After, she went to Ozkan’s bank and later returned to the hotel and didn’t leave again.
Cihan tells him to get some rest.
Sadakar: Why did she go with that evil man? What’s her plan?
Cihan: Mother, how are we supposed to know? We’ll see. Our priority is Cihan Jr. He is still a young child and too young to be separated from his mother. I’ve made a decision. The child will stay with his mother.
Sadakar: Have you lost your mind?
Cihan: Listen, Alya is a doctor and a Canadian citizen. She can practice her profession anywhere in the world easily. Furthermore, I’d like to assign her bodyguards. She and Cihan will start over far away from here. It’s up to us to protect them. They’ll be under our constan watch and control every instant.
Sadakat: No way. What are you talking about, Cihan? Have you gone mad? Did you not say it was a mistake to send Boran so far away? What if something happens to my grandson? Do you really think you can live with that? Forget about everything you just said. I will never accept it.

Cihan and Kaya leave to visit Izzet, who is not in a minefield but a cave. Izzet is restrained by Sahin in a chair. Izzet had refused the meal they offered. Izzet asks for mercy. He reminds them of how crazy Demir is. He came and told me I wouldn’t be able to leave the country. I had to do it because he threated to kill me if I didn’t.
Kaya: We are not threatening you. We even feed our traitors.
Izzet: You can’t touch me. I’m a Canadian citizen.
The three just laugh. You don’t have to threaten us, they say.
Izzet: So, you’re going to kill me?
Cihan makes that little spitting gesture and tells Izzet he will be under armed guard and not leave. You’ll have to adjust to our food.
Izzet: I don’t understand.
Cihan: You are never leaving. There’s just one thing pending. Ask me how many years you will be sentenced to here?
Izzet breaks down, crying.
Then he looks up at Cihan with a hopeful expression: Cihan, I have something that belongs to you.
Cihan: What are you talking about?
Izzet: Boran. He gave me a usb drive five years ago and asked me to give it to you if anything ever happened to him.
Cihan asks if Alya knows about it? He shakes his head. Boran made me swear never to tell anyone.
Cihan: Why didn’t you mention it before?
Izzet: I’d forgotten where it was, but my wife found it and sent it to me. Right after that everything with Demir happened. Will you release me if I give it to you?
Cihan: Don’t play games with me. Did you open it? It has a password. Boran said to “write what’s in your heart.”
Cihan tells Izzet he won’t leave the cave until he has that USB.

AT the konak, he puts it in the computer. Apparently he knows the password.
Boran is speaking:
Hola, Cihan, if you are looking at this video it means I’m dead. But don’t be sad, brother. Because right now I’m alive. And this is the happiest day of my life. I had a son, Cihan. I’m so happy that I have to share it with you. I named him for you. I can’t describe my joy. I wish you were here with me.

Episode 6 #5

(Cihan cries while watching this.)
Boran continues: I broke off contact with you after moving to Canada. I think it was for the best. I never feared death, but after marrying Alya and having a child, I’m now afraid. I was already a bit scared of death with Alya, but with my son, it’s unbearable. Cihan,
Alya was a beacon of light during my darkest days. She’s the best thing to have happened to me in life. I don’t want to lose her. I know it’s selfish of me, which is why I want to make up for it. Cihan, if I get killed, they’ll come after Alya and my son, too. That’s why I made a will. I’ll send it to you. You should already have it. I know my mother. I know she’ll question my death. But don’t blame her. She doesn’t know anything about it. My wife and my child are innocent. I’m certain that my mother will insist, as is tradition, and she’ll want you to marry her. Cihan, this is very difficult, as hard for you as it is for me, I’d like to live with my wife and child for many more years. Please protect them, brother, and marry Alya.
Cihan is very surprised at this.
Cihan cries, don’t do this to me, Boran. Don’t do this to me, brother.
Cihan cries.
Boran continues: If they do kill me, please marry Alya.
Cihan: I can’t. I don’t know what happened to you, brother,
Sadakat and Kaya enter the room.
Boran: I know nothing gives me the right to ask this of you, but if you were able to open this video it means that woman is still in your heart.
Boran: I know. I know that after what happened with Zeyda, you’d never want to get married again. But, please, Cihan, marry Alya, please.
Sadakat chokes on hearing this.
Cihan leaves the room, gesturing helplessly as he cries. He walks out to the courtyard and cries at the balcony.
Sadakar and Kaya sit and try to process all of this. She looks at Boran’s image on the computer, and cries. Kaya also has a serious expression.
Cihan cries uncontrollably.

Alya is waiting at the café in central Mardin. Ozcan joins her. He says the lawyer will be there shortly. The 2 henchmen are watching all of this.
Ozcan tells her he chose this place because it was either there or the police station, which is close by: As you know, Cihan is prohibited from leaving Midyat.
Alya: Yes, I know, but you didn’t need to go to that much trouble. And, Cihan can go to the police station if he wants. Bahadir arrives. He takes a seat.
The henchmen call Cihan at breakfast at the konak.
Kadir tells him that she is meeting Bahadir.
He tells him not to come, knowing he can’t leave. Cihan gets up and walks out.
Sadakat tells Kaya to let Muzzafer know what’s going on. I think he might be their policeman friend, or their friend who knows a policeman.
Bahadir: You have legal custody of your son, so we will file a formal complaint. If they use force, we’ll initiate a legal process. It shouldn’t take very long. The only problem is the injury Cihan suffered. If they report you, the situation changes.
Alya: I’ll risk it all if it means getting Deniz back.
Bahadir: They’ll almost certainly report you.
Alya: Yes, but I’m an Albora mother, which is important to them. If they report me, everything will come out and that won’t be good for the Alboras. I doubt Cihan would dare do that. I don’t even think he’s press charges.
Ozcan: I wouldn’t be so sure. Cihan is unpredictable.
The lawyer agrees. The Alboras have many contacts. But so do we.

Episode 6 #6

Alya asks about his fee.
Bahadir: If they sue, then we’ll talk. My rates are very high. But don’t worry about that. It shouldn’t be a problem for you.
Alya: I don’t understand.
B: I’m sure you do. You son is an Albora and he’s worth a fortune. He has a right to the Albora lands. You don’t understand? I’m referring to his enormous inheritance, he as well as you, since you’re the widow of one of them. You’re already a millionaire, Alya.
Alya: I think you must have misunderstood. I’m not interested in that. I’m not after any of that. I simply want to take my son and leave here as soon as possible.
The lawyer looks like he has indigestion.
Kadir and his buddy meet an SUV that arrives, driven by Cihan. He tells them to wait at the car. He heads over to the café.
Ozcan: You have rights. Nare is doing the same. She says she doesn’t want what is rightfully hers, which is wrong. They have something that is yours. You have the right to fight.
Alya: I don’t care about that, Ozkan. Like I said, I just want to take my son and live in peace.
I can’t pay you yet because I’m having problems with my bank, but…
Up walks Cihan. He grabs her arm and leads her back to the SUV. She breaks away and is nearly hit by a car.
Police are coming out of the station.
The police ask her if she is fine. She said she was confused, not being from there, and nearly was hit by a car.
They ask for her identification. She gives it.
The lawyer comes over: Why do they need identification?
Police: You need to come with us. A charge has been placed against you by Sadakat Albora! Alya will be transferred to the police station and give her statement.
Alya look at Cihan in alarm. He look concerned.
Her lawyer Bahadir is driving following the police. He answers a call from … Demir! He tells Demir that he has the backstory. She shot Cihan.
Demir: What are you talking about?
Bahadir: Alya Albora shot Cihan and left him injured. That’s all.
Demir: Look at this doctor from Canada! She shot Cihan, she has lots of guts. I always knew that girl was a wild mare. What station are they going to?
Bahadir: Midyat. She insists that they give her son back, but of course they aren’t going to do it. We will file the demand.

Episode 6 #7
As the police station. Cihan’s lawyer meets him. Cihan can see Alya on video from her cell.
The lawyer takes them into the police chief’s office.
Chief: We received lots of complaints for you leaving Midyat, Cihan Albora.
The lawyer says there are many out there who look just like Cihan.
There is a complaint, so you will have to give a statement. First we’ll ask some questions.
There were gunshots. Alya Albora is your sister-in-law. Did she injure you with a firearm?

Down in her cell, her lawyer Bahadir [friend of Demir] approaches. He tells her Cihan made his statement. He said that you attacked him and deliberately shot him. He warns her Cihan is merciless.
Alya looks around at her cell. Cihan arrives and his lawyer demands to know how her lawyer got down there. He calls for a policeman. The two lawyers talk. Cihan talks to Alya through the bars.
She asks: Did you bring clean clothes? He looks around and makes that tsk sound with his mouth. I still haven’t made my statement, but I will. I’ll give them something good and I’m going to leave you here. But, after that, I promise to take care of everything you might need.
Alya: I saw you run when you saw the police. I tried to save your life. But, I’m an idiot.
Cihan: You did it because I saved your life. That’s all.
She sticks her hand through the bars and points: You and your mother are exactly the same. How can you tell them I shot you on purpose? It was an accident.
Cihan: It was?
Of course it was. But, if you get me out, I really will hurt you on purpose.
Cihan: He starts laughing. Well, well, you really are an Albora! The DA will get my statement tomorrow, so we have time.
Alya: What?
Cihan: To change my story. To say it wasn’t on purpose. But on one condition.
Alya: Really, am I going to pack my bags and leave this country? How can you be so cruel? Did you already buy my plane ticket?
Cihan: I don’t want you to leave.
Alya: Are you going to leave me here? What is the condition?
Cihan: Marry me.

Hi Maggie. The tsk means "no". The Turks are not the only ones who do this. I know it's also done in the Middle East and Southern Europe. My family is not Turkish but some of them use the tsk to say no.

Thanks so much for the comprehensive recap, Babachita. I have to get to work now so I'll comment later.

Two things I found interesting:

Cihan was in love with Zeyda, who I think is the woman in Demir’s photo. Must be a tragic story here! Might be why he always looks so sad.

I loved the oranges! They looked delicious, to start. I loved the story of Nare and Sahin with the basket of oranges. Very romantic.
