Papas #34 part 1

We see hands putting something into the brownie mix, which is still in the box.

Then a replay of Piper seeing his dad on the internet. He runs to his room ,hysterical, while Clara Luztries to calm him down. Nazario shows Natalia, with wild gestures, what Rudolf did. Natalia says Rudolf is good. Then Nazario films Clara Luz trying to calm Pipe down.

Jeni wants water. Poncho runs to the kitchen with her glass and asks what he should do. Chemo pours water in the glass.

Íker is having trouble breathing, Aide asks if she has medicine for him. Gisela comes in and says her jewelry has been stolen. Then she wonders what kind of mother doesn’t have medicine for an allergic reaction. Tino and Uli go with Melina and Íker to the hospital. Circe asks her mom why Melina is blaming her. She tells Circe that she said some things in anger but asked, and received forgiveness from Íker. At the hospital,Melina is being comforted by Tino while saying Aide deliberately did this to Íker. Uli defends his mom. Aide texts just after the doctor says Íker is out of danger. Tino goes back to hugging Melina.

Gisela thinks there’s a robber in the house. She also says Íker is safe now and is not Aide’s responsibility..Just then Íker and the rest appear. Aide is glad to see him but Melina tells Íker they need to go to his room. Then Tino tells Aide he can’t believe she did something to harm her son. Íker says that’s the first time he ended up in the hospital for her allergy. She blames a new pharmacy. Íker thinks they should go. Melina says Tino wants them here, he’s going to,give Íker his last name. They’re more important than Aide and the other kids, who will be the ones leaving.

Hernan won a the casino. Aide and Tino are arguing about Íker getting his last name. Circe comes in amd tells them the murder at Maximax is all over the internet. This will hurt the business..Hernon comes in and wonders what’s wrong.

Clara Luz is asking Pipe to let her in his room. She’s sorry for the way she treated him, his papa is innocent. He opens the door and calls for Prisma.

Tino tells Hernon what happened. Hernon implies he’s interested in Melina. Rino would never cheat on Aide. Hernon thinks the marriage should be ended.

Aide can’t find anything on the brownie ingredients that would have harmed Íker. Circe tells her to relax, it could have been anything..she tells Circe how strong she is.

Chofis wantsmJeni to share her room but Poncho will give her the sofa, she’ll be more comfortable mm

Aide is looking through the kitchen. She finds the cut up nuts in the trash can and realizes it wasn’t an accident, someone did this deliberately.

Emi texts Bill he wants to stay with him. Bill is thrilled,and wonders about his parents. He thinks Tino is aware and probably told his mom. Tino comes in and Emi tells him he’s going to Bill’s for a few days. Tino has Íker now so he’ll be fine. Tino wants to talk but Emi is tired.

Gisela wonders why Hernon didn’t answer her text. He’s getting a contract ready in order to go to Tiajuana. She asks him about her jewelry and he tells her her friend the choufer was near her doorway, she should ask him.

The chauffeur is with Serena and Chemo discussing things at Maximax and also Rudolf. Jeni and Chofis are talking about boys. Jeni seems to like Poncho but Chofis points out he’s too young, only 16. Jeni asks but Uli and Chofis says they’re not together now.

Uli confronts Melina about accusing his mother and the computer incident. She should leave. She turns it around and says he’s creating tension between his parents and should go. She then sends hom a text from
Cindy.

Papas #34 Part 2

Tino and Aide are discussing Maximax. Tino thinks Melina will bring in a client, Aide disagrees. Aide mentions they still have Bill as a client and Tino gets upset. Bill is taking his son. Aide says Emi loves him and will always be his son. She points out he feels he’s being displaced by Íker. Tino,says they treat them equally. Aide mentions looking in the kitchen and Tino doesn’t want to talk about it, he’s going to take a bath.

Paulina and Bill are talking. Bill is glad his building has an elevator. Paulina thinks he should give Emi his last name. Bill doesn’t want to do that to Tino. Paulina has a plan. She’ll start coming over and win Emi’s love. She literally crawls across the table to start kissing him.

Circe isn’t feeling well and won’t go to school. Aide tells her if she doesn’t feel better she should see a doctor. Then she announces to all that she li
Oozed all over the kitchen and found macadamia nuts in the trash. There wasn’t anything on the brownie mix to give Íker that reaction. Elina wonders who she’s accusing.

Pipe is having another episode at breakfast, ba going his silverware. Clara Luz offers to make him something else. Natalie is making a sandwich. Missing Rudolf and being hungry isn’t good. Nazario takes the kids to school. Clara Luz tells Prisma Pipe is getting worse. Prisma wonders if the therapist has any ideas. Clara Luz says the only thing is medication.

Melina thinks Aide is trying to pin the blame for Iker’s reaction on someone else when she was the one in the kitchen fixing the food. Gisela says everyone is losing control, she starts listing things that have gone wrong and ends with her missing jewelry.. aide thinks she’s making a big fuss over a missing bracelet.

Poncho is looking at his phone when a friend comes by. He wants help with his exams. Poncho will help him prepare but not give him answers. The friend says he will if he doesn’t want to die alone.

Melina is accusing Aide for Iker’s reaction. She also says she never sent a text to Bill. Tino is in agreement with Melina. He has to travel, someone who’s name begins with V. Or a company?

Hernon gets the jewels from the casino. I can guess his plan.

Serena, Cheno and the choufer walk up to the house. Gisela accuses him of robbing her.

At school Scarlet sees Emi. He tells her he’s going to live with will for a few days. Scarlet wonders if it’s because of what happened to Íker. He yells he needs his space. Scarlet leaves and Emi pulls a bag from his backpack. It looks like macadamia nuts.

Someone I don’t recognize is reading the headline about Gibron and wondering who,would do this.

The client Tino is meeting is finished with them. It’s not the first time something criminal has happened at Maximax.

MONTEVERDE #24, Part 1

Carolina and an excited Andres are returning to Monteverde.

A beaming Manuel visits Gloria. She is in a snit about her daughter’s marriage, making it all about her, seeming to be the alleged wounded party. He tries to kiss her hand but she pulls it away.

Juan David and the women are talking; Rosalia has not weakened (against Lucas) and bids them good night.

Oscar wakes Moises it is important he continues his classes, get ready.

Carolina and Andres are on the bus to Zacatillo. She looks around worriedly.

An exhausted Carlos has arrived at a hotel and asks to borrow the phone. He reaches his detective and explains what’s going on.

Lucia and Franco kiss and discuss his mother and then Lucas. They part sweetly with her saying “te amo”. He smiles lovingly as she leaves.

“Buenos dias” Rosalie says the next morning. She is told Lucas is still outside. She goes out to see him shivering and tells him to stop. She turns to leave but he faints dead away. She falls to her knees to try and revive him.

Carolina calls Celeste who kisses her cross after they talk.

Lucas has been put in bed and is nearly convulsing. Rosalie puts a blanket on him and tries to get him to drink hot tea. He tells her he loves her, shaking away.

Gloria tells Angelina to be careful of Father Gabriel. She should not let herself be manipulated.

MONTEVERDE #24, Part 2

Eva gives Lucia the finished logo. “It’s incredible” Lucia enthuses. She hugs her and leaves. Just then Oscar and Moises drive up. Oscar asks his son for a kiss and then sends him into the classroom. He points his finger at Eva and starts in. Moises greets humorless Celeste who starts questioning him. Then Moises procures a tiny mouse and (much to my surprise) Celeste smiles and pets it gently.

Eva tries to apologize to a disgusted Oscar. He isn’t interested he screams. Nunca!! He gets into his truck…

Lucas, who should be in the hospital, is still in bad shape as Rosalie gives him tea. He asks again for her forgiveness and she finally gives it. He asks her to be his novia and while she doesn’t answer, she does end up kissing him.

Andres questions his mother about his father; he seems worried she will end up in jail. She seems to reassure him.

Moises shows his father his mouse he brought to school. I can’t understand what Moises says but what a sweet kid. Oscar looks thoughtful. He later asks Oscar about Franco’s mother.

The good padre asks Celeste how Moises’ classes are going. She tells him Carolina is returning and that Carlos came back. He is concerned to say the least; after they talk, he blesses her.

Celeste talks with Juanita and tells her Carolina is coming back. She tells her to take care; Juanita tells Celeste she will be happy to see Andres again.

Juan David and Angelina jump up from their respective desks ready to kiss when one of the women (who was fawning over him the other night) pops in with a huge lunch spread for Juan David, who is nonplussed as Angelina steams and takes off. Juan David looks like a deer caught in the headlights.

Lucas has stopped shivering although he looks in rough shape. He and Rosalia come to an understanding.

The detective shows up at the hotel and meets up with an angry Carlos.

“Tia” Andres calls out as he and Carolina are reunited with Celeste in a church. I think Celeste says she is going to introduce Carolina as her sister (which is true enough, right?) Andres is excited to return to Monteverde and Celeste reminds him they are in church.

Manuel comes in and scolds Juan David. He begs him to go back to the house! Manual wants Gloria to accept his proposal but Juan David does not want to return. Manuel squirms in discomfort and disappointment.

MONTEVERDE #24, Part 3

Angelina ugly cries and asks her mother “why”. Gloria talks Juan David down and seems immune to her daughter’s tears.

Celeste makes her feelings on Oscar Leon clear. I believe she warns Carolina away from him (with a heavenward glance). The mother superior calls, Celeste asks how the patient (the other mother) is. Is she returning? I couldn’t understand.

Lucas arrives home looking very much the worse for wear. He tells Franco Lucia (finally) forgave him. Franco sort of laughs, smilingly.

Eva talks to Father Gabriel about Oscar.

That annoying woman who’d brought the goodies to Juan David earlier, (Prima?) comes into his room (both wearing pjs) with a magazine and starts doing a quiz with him. Instead of giving her the quick heave ho, Juan David naively plays along. She waves and finally leaves. He looks confused. Oh boy.

Celeste sneaks in the house and as the coast is clear, waves in Carolina and Andres. Celeste says something about traveling and San Antonio.

Oscar is sitting on the couch when Eva (a glutton for punishment) walks in. She asks for his forgiveness (again). After all these years he says scathingly. She holds her ground although her expression mirrors the crumbling expression her heart surely feels.

Carolina and Andres reunite with Juanita.

Oscar is still intensely hateful, mentioning Franco, all those nights, all those years alone!

Some conversational gaps I could not fill in. Lucas is finally forgiven…So two nuns under the same roof, what could possibly go wrong? 😊 I can’t wait.

Liz, thank you for clearing up much that I missed and/or didn't understand and doing it so very well! You are so good with details and ensuring everything is recounted just as it occurs.

So, I missed Iker pulling out the nuts from his backpack! I was SO sure it was Melina. Well, this might be a red herring and it could very well be Melina, right??

Tino doubting Aide at this point is such poor judgement. He is letting allowing his disappointment in not being Emi's bio father affect the way he treats him and others (Aide and Bill in particular). Conversely, thinking he IS Iker's father is having a similar effect. And not a good one.

Speaking of, "Melina says Tino wants them here, he’s going to give Íker his last name. They’re more important than Aide and the other kids, who will be the ones leaving". Delusional much?

Poor Clara Luz! Rudolf in jail, Nazario breathing down her neck not to mention Pipe who is such a handful.

Somehow I didn't see that last scene with the client.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Manuel wants to talk to Juan David to convince hi to return home. Gloria tells him not to bother. She and her daughter are just fine the way they are. He asks if she has thought about his marriage proposal. She says she hasn't because she cannot leave her daughter when she is going through such a bad time. Angelina needs her! She herself has always been such a selfless, self-sacrificing mother who has only worried about her daughter! Seeing her so sad breaks her heart! She has no time for him because she has to dedicate herself to her daughter who is her priority!

Moisés doesn't want to go to school because he doesn''t like the nun. Oscar understands but tells him he has to go or else they will take him far away from him. Moisés agrees he doesn't want that to happen.

Celeste asks Carolina why she is coming back to Monteverde. Carolina explain what happened with Carlos and that now they have nowhere else to go. Carolina could only think of meeting up with her sister so they could come up with a plan. Carolina tells her that Carlos had her tracked down by a detective. Celeste is sure that is the man who was following her. They agree to meet inside of the cathedral to avoid being seen.

Rosalía assures Juanita and another woman from the inn that Lucas isn't going to die. If he were in such danger she would have had an ambulance take him to the hospital in Zacatillo. Lucas has hypothermia. and they have to warm him up little by little. Rosalía tells Lucas he is crazy but also a bastard as she helps him drink sone hot tea.

Gloria tells Angelina that she is sure that the good father only wants to defend his nephew and brainwash her. Better that she only talk to the priest when it is abosolutley necessary. As for Juan David, she can just ignore him.

The mouse has a name: Griselda. His plan to scare the nun didn't work! He later tells his father how she was scared the first time he showed her Griselda but not this time. She was petting it. Oscar agrees that was very strange. He also thought that the nun liked him before but not now. He doesn't like her any more. She doesn't have to be such a grouch. Oscar understands.
 

Monteverde Extras parte 2

Lucas tells Rosalía that his display out on the street was done for her and nobody else. He would go to any extreme to let her know that he loves her and nobody else. He never knew she was such a hard nut to crack. Rosalía has to admit that nobody has ever done anything like that for her. She finally forgives him but she has to think about being novios again. He will take that as a YES. He says the only thing that will make him better is the medicine of her sweet lips. She kisses him smiles and kisses him again as he shivers and shakes.

Celeste tells the good father she has a plan: introduce Carolina as who she is: twin sister. the good father likes that idea.

Moisés is disappointed his father said that he didn't talk to Eva, He likes her and thinks she is "good people." Before he thought that the nun would be a good partner for his godfather but since she turned out to be such a pain, he thinks he could be happy with Franco's mother. He has heard the workers saying that he needs a woman. Oscar asks him how many times has he told him to ignore what the workers have to say. Moisés can only notice that his godfather has gotten angry about what he told him.

Trinidad is the woman who has her eyes set on Juan David.

Lucas tells Rosalía that he realizes that Néstor is her father and he will not interfere in their relationship. As for now, he wants to stay there with her forever.

Carolina tells Celeste that they are gong to tell the people in Monteverde that she is her twin sister. Carolina says the people will reject her and even more so when they find out she is a fugitive. Celeste says she is talking about them introducing her simply as her twin sister without mentioning anything about her taking her place.

Manuel is angry that Juan David has left Angelina because as long as Gloria is worried about Angelina, he will not be able talk her into marrying him. Juan David says he cannot stand Gloria and since Angelina wouldn't throw her out, he decided to leave. Manuel cannot believe that Juan David sees her as the devil. She is such an enchanting woman! Much to Manuel's disappointment, Juan David loves Angelina but will not return until Gloria is gone.

Carolina agrees to the plan. Andrés says they can explain him being there by saying his mother had another problem and Celeste asked Carolina to bring him back to Monteverde. Celeste says they have to get going because if Carlos had them followed once, he could do it again.

Celeste makes it clear to Carolina that even though she is returning to Monteverde as Carolina and not as SISTER Celeste, she has to stay away from Oscar. She cannot have feelings for him if she supposedly has never met him. Oscar is no fool.

Celeste gets a call from her mother superior. She needs to go to Madrid to supervise a mission that is being launched so Celeste is to go to San Antonio to replace her in the mean time. Celeste will leave for San Antonio the next day.
Carolina asks what is she to do. Andrés says she can pretend to be his aunt again! Carolina smiles.

Trinidad tells Juan David they got the same results on the quiz they took from the magazine!!! They are so much th same!! They are like soul mates! She and all of the girls feel protected with him around. And he is so nice . . . modest . . . a real gem!
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

Celeste needs Carolina to drive her to the bus station early the next day. She leaves her a habit for the next day. Carolina says she has to admit she missed wearing her veil.

Eva tells Oscar that they need to talk like it or not. She asks if he is afraid. No, he isn't he just doesn't want to talk to her PERIOD. She informs him that if he doesn't want to do it now, she will be at his door every single night until he does. He agrees to give her five minutes. She asks him to forgive her for all of the pain she caused him. he reminds her that she had a son who was hurt, too.
Why didn't she ever let them know if she were alive or dead or at least send her son a birthday greeting? Does she realize how hard it was for him to watch his son by the door every single night waiting for his mother to come home? He would try to calm him down by telling him that some day she would come back but that day never came. That is how it was 365 days a year for 26 years. She cannot imagine the damage she did to them.

Jarifa, your recap was a mirror image of the epiosde, reflecting everything perfectly.

Reading what you captured made me very sad. 26 years is more than a lifetime for some. I can't really blame Oscar, especially as it's clear how devastated he was for Franco.

First of all, thank you Diana for your recap.

I, also, cannot wait for Carolina to get back in the habit again. This is going to be fun.

It was heartbreaking hearing Oscar describing his son waiting at the door for his mother to come home every night.

Angelina needs to wake up and choose her husband!!! (They just took their vows!!!) even if her mother throws a tantrum as she exits. Juan David is a hot commodity. She should be happy he hasn’t realized that (yet) and take some action.

Can’t wait for tonight!

Well, it is going to be sunny and a balmy 30 today as I head off to a Christmas market. Stay warm, everyone!

Liz, thank you for another great recap . i feel sorry for Aide and Tino because of the confusing parenting situation they are in the middle of with multiple children and multiple possible parents of those children . Add to that Hernan and Gisela hurting instead of helping this hot domestic mess and wicked witch Melina doing anything to seduce Tino. Wake up Tino...stop hugging her!!! Susan

Papas #35. Part 1

Íker and Scarlet are talking. She sees Emi and goes include him. As he leaves the nuts drop out, Scarlet asks if he was the one that gave them to Iker.

The partner tells Tino he loves his work but cannot continue because of the murder. He feels they can’t keep their employees safe.

Aide is encouraging rice is get out and do things, think of school and a career. Circe feels she’s 21 and divorced and her feelings are legitimate. They hear Gisela,shouting as she accuses the chauffeur of stealing her jewelry. Serena and Chemo defend him. He’s an honorable man. Aide intervenes as Gisela is talking about how valuable they are.

Emi seems to say he packed the nuts to eat. Scarlet doesn’t believe him and he tells her to think what she wants.

Gisela brings up the debt of Aide’s. Aide says she’ll pay it back with interest, but one thing doesn’t have anything to do with the other. Tino interrupts to see what’s wrong and Aide asks about the partner. He tells her the bad news, the police around the house aren’t helping their business.

Poncho is being teased at school. His friend introduces him as Poncho the Virgin.

Toño and Aide are talking about V and the breaking of the contract due to the scandal.

The chauffeur is upset and wants to talk to,Gisela. They tell him to calm down and not talk yet. Melina comes in, Serena introduces Cheno, who thinks she recovered very well from the accident. She says she has good genes.

Clara Luz tells Rudolf the kids found out what happened on the internet. Rudolf thinks Pipe will never look up to him again. Clara Luz says Rosario is going to have Nazario questioned, but they both agree they don’t think he killed him. But they don’t knew who and why he was killed.

Prisma thinks she can concentrate better at work. Nazario thinks they won’t be jobs for them soon. He makes up some silly song making fun of Prisma until a detective knocks on their door wanting to question him. He thinks back to a recording he has of Rudolf talking against Gibron. Melina says guard it, we’ll use it when I say so. The detective asks his opinion of Rudolf. He says he flys off the handle and starts fighting. He tells the detective to give him his phone.

Tino and Aide are talking about the problems in the business and the debt they have due when Serena and Cheno approach. They feel bad about what’s happening and especially foe Rudolf, Clara Luz and Pipe.

Uli is looking at a message from “Cindy” and some pictures, he tells her he thinks they’ll get along well. He runs into Chofis and tells her what Chec did for Circe. She had no idea. Meanwhile Checo is reading the article on the computer. He writes the author that he’s the photographer and wants to help.

The chauffeur confronts Gisela. He finds out Hernon suggested he stole the jewelry. He tells her he’s an honorable man, he’s not surprised Hernon accused him.

Clara Luz is encouraging Rudolf. There friends will help too.

Tino tells Aide they need more clients and Melina can help. Aide says that’s not going to happen and she doesn’t want her in their business

Hernon comes I his nietos and his the loving grandfather. As the kids leave the chauffeur tells Hernon he knows what he told Gisela. Hernon denies it and pokes the backpack chauffeur is holding, not sure what he said.

Paulina wants to see Emi while he’s with Bill. She doesn’t think he’s safe with Tino and Aide. She then talks to Emi and tells him she wants to see him. Aide thinks something is wrong with Scarlet, Scarlet denies it.

Natalia is asking Clara Luz about Rudolf. She tells Natalie he sends hugs and kisses. She can write him. Meanwhile Rudolf is missing them. He sings, and Clara Luz and the kids do to.

Papas 35 part 2

All are enjoying dinner at Cheno’s. He and Serena are at the kitchen counter but join in the conversation. Chaqueta has something at school. Poncle misses his dad, and Chofis agrees you miss the parent that isn’t there. Jeni is happy to be in a family.

At Tino’s they’re also having dinner. Melina has a special dessert that she prepared with care so they’ll be no accidents. Scarlet says she knows her mother didn’t do it. Melina wants to know if she knows who did do it

Paulina and Bill are talking about Iker. She wants them to be a happy family. She gets a text from the detective. He’s found Lila so she’ll get her daughter back too.

Scarlet tells them Emi had macadamia nuts. Aide says he would be incapable of doing it. Melina says he’s probably jealous of Iker. Tino wants to know if he did it but when Emi denies it Tino doesn’t believe him.

Serena goes in to talk to Chachito about his school event. It’s for the mothers and he remembers his mother doing things with him. Chofis is outside the door crying. Serana sees Chofis and want to comfort her. Chofis is worried her brother will forget their mom. She’s mad at Serana.

Tino goes into Emi’s room. He says he didn’t do anything to his favorite son. Tino tries to talk to him but Emi yells at him to get out.

Hernan is telling Gisela he cares for her. She’s angry because he Implied it was Aurelo(I think that’s the chauffeur’s name, correct me if I’m wrong)that took her jewelry. He gives her a necklace set and says he’ll work triple ti e when he’s in Tiajuana.

Bill comes for Emi. Emi calls him papa. Tino wants to talk to him first. He knows Emi is angry with him, he should have given him a chance ro explain. Emi wants to go, and when Bill goes to him, Tino is ready to fight. Aide grabs his arm.

Gisela is watching Aurelio put a pack in his car. He walks away and she goes to the open door. She thinks about him telling her he’s an honorable man. She digs into the case and finds a bracelet of hers.

Aide lets go of Tino. He goes to Emi and asks him not to go. Emi says he’ll also think,more of his biological son. Tino denies it, Emi wants to go but Tino once again pushes Bill. Bill leaves with Emi. Tino is crying that he’s lost both his children. Aide says it’s because he didn’t have confidence in Emi.

Uli goes to speak to Malena, who,says she would never hurt her son. He brings up other things but she says that’s in the past. Then she says Emi is where he belongs, with his true biological dad.

Tino and Aide talk about Emi. When he comes back he going to show him he has confidence in him. He doesn’t want Bill to get him again. Aide thinks they need to come to an agreement with Bill. Tino wishes they had money for a lawyer. Aide suggests something about the house. Tino says they can’t because____. Not sure,what the word was, could have been mortgage the house, but Tino already did it. It wasn’t sell, to my limited knowledge!

"Emi seems to say he packed the nuts to eat". Hmmm. I completely believe him as did Aide. I'm a bit surprised Scarlet and (especially) Tino didn't. "He knows Emi is angry with him, he should have given him a chance ro explain". You can say that again! "Tino is crying that he’s lost both his children". Tino has no one to blame but himself for pushing his son to escape to Bill's. I hate that Paulina who doesn't care about her son at all is back to torture Emi again.

As for Lila, we will have to wait and see.

I can't believe Uli is being taken in by "Cindy". This is going to blow up. And badly.

MONTEVERDE #25, Part 1

Oscar is still reaming out Eva for being gone all those many years…They have what I’m sure is a painful conversation with Oscar. I believe she mentions another man but seems to diminish his importance in favor of Oscar (is that right?) Again she asks for forgiveness. Franco is my son she says as Moises comes in, mercifully interrupting. She greets him and then leaves. Oscar is not about to explain anything to Moises and hustles him off to bed.

Oh no, Gloria’s snoring (like a bull) has awakened Angelina who opens the door to her mother’s room (will she smother her with a pillow??) No she closes the door and leaves her. 😊

Andres awakes talking about his father. Carolina comforts him.

Angelina has gone to the women’s house and climbs in bed with Juan David! She finally tells him he is THE most important person in her life. He is so happy to see her and hugs her, telling her the same. They kiss as he smiles delightedly. Later, we see that their reunion seemed to be a success. Then, there is a knock on the door. Oh no, it’s Trinidad with a breakfast tray! As Trinidad natters on, Angelina stares furiously from under the bed. Juan David says thank you and tries to get her to leave, finally doing so by literally ushering her out the door. Angelina is very upset and asks him what happened. He assures her she is the only one. Juan David has an idea. She locks the door and he gets out some towels.

One nun drives sans habit the other in the passenger seat. Once again, Celeste warns about Oscar Leon. Carolina repeats her words and Celeste stares at her darkly.

Lucia and Rosalia talk about their men; both are happy as a sinking feeling stirs in my stomach.

For some reason, Juan David has decided Angelina (his wife) cannot be found in his room. He has tied a series of bed sheets together and lowers Angelina out the window. The outside shot reveals it is quite a drop! Naturally, he drops her and she ends up falling on the pavement. Thankfully, she seems to be all right as she waves and walks away.

In the stables, Oscar tells Nestor Eva came to see him. Nestor whips his head around; Oscar has his full attention. Oscar mentions another man as Nestor stares guiltily and nervously.

Juanita tells the assembled women she has a surprise. Ta da – it’s Andres. His mother has some problems so he has returned he explains. Everyone is so happy to see him and immediately sit him at the table.

Carolina (I’m sure it’s her as she is smiling) enters the priest’s house and writes him a note.

MONTEVERDE #25, Part 2

“Buenos dias” Juan David says as he bounds down the stairs, all smiles. You look happy Lucia comments. He blows everyone an air kiss as he practically dances out the door.

Carlos and the detective meet.

Angelina comes in to find Gloria already dressed and sipping coffee. She comments on Angelina’s clothes but her attention is diverted by the huge chocolate donut Angelina puts in front of her.

Juanita tells Hugo that Andres is back. He takes her hand and she quickly removes it but is smiling. He is smitten…

There is a knock on the door and when Lucas opens it, it’s not the Avon Lady or a candy gram (sadly). It’s (drum roll) Julieta! This cannot be good I murmur as my stomach roils again. WTH??

Carolina talks with Moises and is her usual charming self; she kisses him on the head. She gives Andres an adorable facial expression. Lessons resume, today it’s capitals!

Julieta tells Lucas she hadn’t intended to return. Naturally she asks for Franco but Lucas says he isn’t there but to help herself to fruit or anything else she’d like.

Angelina tells Juan David that she mollified her mother this morning. They are both hot to trot in the office and cannot stay away from each other. They kiss passionately as Father Gabriel comes in. He starts talking as they smile at each other. They talk about their love and ardor when we hear a voice…it’s Gloria! As she walks in, they pretend to fight. Gloria intervenes and tells them to sit. She brings her daughter lunch AND brownies!

Nestor tells Eva that Oscar visited him. He seems to indicate he is upset because she told Oscar that the “other man” meant little to her. She mentions the passion she felt for him but that she abandoned her child for him. She demands Nestor leave.

The boys finish their tests; I think Moises is a tad confused but then the boys rush out to play.

MONTEVERDE #25, Part 3

"Andres” Oscar calls out, happy to see him. Carolina smiles at Oscar as she hands him Moises’ backpack. She said Andres was happy to see Moises. He is cold and dismissive and the hurt reflects on Carolina’s face.

Lucas tells Franco Julieta is there. Franco is confused and wonders why.

Nestor storms into Rosalia’s. He is still smarting from the meeting with Oscar and is short with Rosalia as tears form in her eyes.

Carolina greets Father Gabriel. She has to tell him it’s her, Carolina. He asks where Celeste is! After she relates what is going on, why she rather than the called away Celeste is there, the good father doesn’t seem pleased and cautions her about Oscar.

“Hola Franco” a rather emotionless Julieta says. He asks how she is to which she answers “Muy bien”. Without preamble, she stands and announces, “I’m pregnant with your child”. We then have a pregnant pause (sorry, I couldn’t help it) as Franco tries to process what he’s been told.

Rosalia brings Lucas some tortas. He climbs the fence and bites into the delicious treat. She is downcast and she tells him that Nestor came into the dispensary all upset about Eva. He is very sweet to her and kisses her, and is non-judgmental, cheering her up immensely. They kiss tenderly.

“Are you sure” Franco asks, running his hands through his hair, clearly in a panic She tells him she had a test and it was positive. “It is your child” she insists when he hesitates a bit. She knows he is in love with Lucia but tells him he is the father of my child. Franco breaks out in a cold sweat.

Franco comes into Manuel’s asking for tequila. “Tequila?” Manuel asks, surprised. Franco is served, belts it down and asks for another. Eva is there and asks if he is all right although clearly he isn’t. She pushes him and he throws money down on the table and leaves. She follows him outside, pleading that he confide in her. It’s nothing he insists rather angrily. After a moment, he apologizes. Eva asks him to have coffee with her and talk it out. He seems to think about it then declines.

Hugo and Juanita stroll down the street and as she looks up, she sees Carolos and the detective mere feet away. “Oh no” she says, panic and desperation written all over her face!!

I know the opening scene where Oscar and Eva spoke set the tone for several of the subsequent scenes and can only apologize that I really could not follow. It’s so hard to start out that way and I apologize. I’m sure Jarifa will graciously supply everything important that was said.

I was surprised Julieta left when she did. I’m wondering if she is really pregnant or, if she is, if Franco is really the father. It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

I have yet to watch the episode. Hope to later today. Julieta returns pregnant? I am not liking that but maybe she will fill the telenovela “requirement” for the unexpected pregnancy.

Tino' s character has changed drastically . He is treating both his (supposedly ) biological son and the son he raised as his own as if they were possessions . Did he ever see proof that Iker his bio son. ?

Bill seems to be sincere and a good guy who just wants his son in his life , but He is letting Paula manipulate him .
Melina is an over!y confident sneaky snake .
Hernan an old swindler willingly using his son and family to support his gambling addiction.
Gisela is sure that she should give everyone advice while living in her dauggters house and sleeping with cagey grifter Hernan. No fool like an old fool!!!

Now that Chofis is talking about her mom, I guess that actress is going to pop up .

I wasn’t planning to watch this, but it has drawn me in. Lots of great actors. I am busy, but for now I will keep watching this. I have not seen the earlier versions, so that makes it better for me. Watching Scarlett in her city clothes tromping around in the country is fun! She is perfect for her part.

MONTEVERDE EXTRAS parte 1

Eva begs for for Oscar to forgive her and tries to explain to Oscar that she wasn't doing well when she left. She admits what she did was deplorable. She was depressed, alone and bored with the town. He spent very little time with her and Franco because he worked from sun up to sun down to give them everything but that wasn't enough for her. He say she should have told him and he would have done something to fix it. She admits she was stupid for not talking to him about how she was feeling. Shortly after she left, she knew she had made a mistake but didn't have the nerve to face him. As years passed by, she realized how badly she had managed things. Oscar says she was only thinking of herself. It never entered her mind how much her child missed her. He asks who the man was that she left them for. She says she didn't go because of another man. She told him she was leaving with another man because it was the only way he wouldn't have stopped her from leaving. There was nobody else. To be honest, the only man she has ever loved is him and nobody else. He answers that he would't have hated her as he had if he had known she had not traded her son for a love story. She states that she made a mistake and came to apologize knowing they could never get back together but wanted to make sure they could be at peace. She begs him to not turn Franco against her.

Celeste admits to Carolina that she didn't do a bad job teaching Moisés considering that she had to start with him knowing nothing but he still needs a lot of work to catch up. Celeste says she put a lot of work into distancing herself from Oscar and she wants Carolina to keep that distance as if she were her.

Oscar tells Néstor that Eva showed up last night insisting that he listen to her. Oscar has to admit that after he did, he felt freed from all of the hatred he had held for her leaving him. Néstor is happy for him. Oscar goes on to tell him that she didn't leave him for another man. She only said that so he would allow her to leave. She said he was the only man she ever loved. She seemed to be sincere so now he can let it be a part of the past. Néstor asks if he can see himself getting back with her. Oscar says that would never happen.

Carolina writes the good father a note thanking him for the car and returning the keys. She has something important to talk about with him later.

Carlos tells the detective that he found Carolina once and he needs to do it again. The detective thinks that Zacatillo is a key to her location because that was the first place the nun went. He is going back there to talk to his contact at the bus station to see if anyone has seen them. Carlos is going with him. He doesn''t care how long it takes because he wants to be the one to find them.

Angelina comes in and Gloria asks why Angelina wasn't in her bed. She checked on her early and she was not there. Angelina says she couldn't sleep so she went for a walk and then decided to go by the bakery for some bread.
Gloria cannot see her going out in her pajamas! She should have out on some pants and run a comb through her hair. What would people say seeing her like that? Angelina brought her other a chocolate donut. Gloria is happy!
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Hugo invites Juanita out to go see a movie. It is a comedy! She accepts. They have to go to Zacatillo!!!

Moisés tells Carolina that his godfather has no interest in seeing or talking to her since she is such a grouch. She asks him to explain. He says she isn't affectionate, she doesn't tell jokes, she doesn't laugh. It is as if she were another person! André says he feels the same way. Carolina apologizes for having been like that but she has been under a lot of pressure, stress from her congregation. She is going to try to do better to be like she was.

Angelina and Juan David are planning to continue their romantic escapades at night. They also plan to act as if they are still angry with each other in the presence of others. Angelina thinks it is so exciting to act like lovers when they are in fact spouses!! Juan David thinks that it is like an aphrodisiac and is so tempting! The good father is upset that the first couple he has married in years is separated. Juan David changes the topic to work. The good father is concerned about the amount of wine they have on hand.

Néstor is not upset that Eva wasn't honest and didn't tell Oscar that she left town with him but is upset that she told Oscar that he (Oscar) was the only man she ever really loved. Does that mean that she never loved him? That she only played with his feelings? Eva sees no point in talking about the past. He wants to know if she only used him to leave Monteverde. Didn't he mean anything to her? She says of course he did at the time but it was only a case of passion and that is not enough to maintain a relationship. He asks if she means there was only passion and no love?? She tells him enough already. There is no point talking about the past. He tells her she is wrong. He has never forgotten her. Since she is back, he cannot stop thinking about her and now he finds out that he meant nothing to her. She answers that she didn't say that but it is now something that she needs to forget about. If it had not been for him, she never would have abandoned her child. She tells him to leave.

Oscar tells Carolina he doesn't think he will ever be in the mood to talk to her again.

Néstor tells Rosalía he has had a hell of a day. All he wants is to leave their damn town. He is fed up. He needs some fresh air. She asks him not to go since it would hurt her so much after having finally found him. He admits it has something to do with Eva. It isn't that the wants to move for good but he wants to get away so he can digest what is going on. She says they won't be able to see each other. He answers that she only thinks about herself. Being honest, he doesn't have time to think about that. He says bye and leaves her speechless.

Lucas tells Rosalía that as long as nobody knows that Néstor and Eva were lovers he is safe and has no reason to leave town. She agrees and adds that if he leaves town, she will no longer have a reason to stay there herself. He says that is not quite right because she does have a man (him) who adores her with his whole heart. He adds that she went looking for Néstor to find a family. She and he can have a family of their own. If Néstor leaves, he will be the one who will be losing out. She smiles and says It seems he has the gift to always make her feel good and loved. They kiss.

Franco tells Julieta that he never expected a pregnancy to happen. She sarcastically answers" Well, neither did SHE!!" In the same tone, she informs him that being in love with Julieta will not stop him from being a father to her child.

Hugo had dreams of being a soccer player but it turned out that he wasn't good enough. So, he decided to stay in town and help out his grandfather with his business.

Moisés says he is more confused than ever about the nun. Now she is just like she used to be! She told him that she was different before because she was stressed out about things in her congregation. Oscar says he had noticed that the nun was different now, too. They hope that now she stays the way she was before.

I absolutely loved Angelina and Juan David with their ruse. What fun!

Eva is a much more complicated character than I thought she would ever be. It is as if they switched the normal gender roles with Eva having only been in a "relationship" with Néstor for the sex and Néstor feeling used because he felt and wanted something more.

The writers keep surprising us.

I’m caught up once again. I was hoping the sisters would be in the same town, but there’s plenty of confusion anyway. I wonder how long it will before Oscar talks to Carolina. It won’t take long to realize Moises was right and it’s as if she’s a completely different person.

I’m glad Angelina and Juan David have made up, but I sure wish they’d just tell Gloria she needs to go,

I was surprised Oscar was able to listen to Eva and have all that anger go away!

I wonder if Julieta to telling the truth. Although it sounds like she’s just expecting him to be the dad, not her husband. But if I were Lucia I wouldn’t want the other woman in our lives.

Oh Jarifa, your summary was just sensational! You interwove the threads of this important episode beautifully.

"There was nobody else. To be honest, the only man she has ever loved is him and nobody else". While the first part may well be true, Eva's declaration was certainly not inclusive. "She says she didn't go because of another man. She told him she was leaving with another man because it was the only way he wouldn't have stopped her from leaving. Really? First, she did run away with Nestor and second, she never mentioned she had an affair! Half truths and flat out lies do not a confession make.


I am glad though that Eva's partial confession lifted the hate from Oscar's heart. I fear though that it seems inevitable he eventually finds out about Nestor and Eva. Then, the anger will reappear, perhaps fiercer than before.

I'm back....well, I watched one episode and read Princess Juju's recaps. Thanks juju...you added a lot to my understanding of the first episode. I have never seen any of the previous incarnations so it is all new to me. I'll try to catch up on the rest tomorrow. Trying to get my house in order before my surgery Monday. Perhaps do a little baking too. I have a few favorites I like to make for Christmas.
