TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Dinastía Casillas, Lejos de Ti y más: Week of December 22, 2025
Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.
Here are the current telenovelas (all times are Eastern Standard Time):
- 9-10PM - Dinastía Casillas*
- 10-11PM - Lejos de Ti*
*My guide shows no telenovelas/dizis on December 24. From my experience working with Latinos, they celebrate Noche Buena more than La Navidad. The guide shows Lejos de Ti and Dinastía Casillas showing on Christmas Day and the day after. Again, like Thanksgiving, I wonder if a new episode would be shown on Christmas Day.
Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversation they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

After Zerrin and Kaya spent a day at the hovel, and a night on separate couches, Zerrin escaped on foot still in her wedding dress while Kaya was sleeping. She kept her dress on to demonstrate nothing else untoward happened.
Cihan spent the day looking for them. The purported groom Sedat spent the day looking for them also. If Sedat finds them first there will be honor killings. Sahin spent the say comforting his mother, and Demir laughed all day at the mayhem he had set up
A mob of townspeople came to the konak, unhappy with Cihan, egged on by Demir. Alya got caught up in the mob, and Cihan went into rescue her, grabbing her by the hand. Cihan dispersed the crowd easily with a short speech. (To me, the whole point of this scene was to give Cihan and Alya a chance to hold hands.)
There were the usual discussions and arguments.
(P.S. - I find this app difficult to write in on my phone. The text drops behind the keyboard, and I have to keep scrolling down to see what I wrote, and to add more. There must be some trick I don't know about. )
Thanks, Anastasia. You cut right to the chase about Zerrin running out on Kaya. I hope he catches her, because the Halhanoglus are not going to believe she's "intact".
Cihan told Mine more or less that he went off her when she gave Alya that USB drive revealing Boran's wish that Cihan marry Alya should he die. Like all "other women" in telenovelas and dizis, she's not going to give up. Tonight, she asked Alya to come to some kind of a celebration concerning the hospital.
From what I've seen, Sadakat only loves male children. She's treated Nare like dirt nearly the whole time. I vaguely remember a teeny, tiny bit of sympathy when she miscarried her child. So, a male child is in danger, and she blames Nare for it.
I was frightened for Alya when she kept pushing on Demir's sore spot. He hit a wall instead of her, but his rage was scary. I remember either a flashback or someone saying it happened, but Seyda did fall in love with Cihan and committed suicide because it wasn't reciprocated.
Anastasia, I feel your pain. The phone app is challenging. I do all my recaps on it, and make many glaring typos I wish I'd seen and corrected, but only getting the first 5 lines makes it difficult. You can write it in notes or something then paste it in, but that is even more challenging for me.
Anastasia,, thank you . I haven't had a chance to watch this episode . I am still wrapping gifts and getting food ready to take to my daughter's house .
I once had a student from the middle east who felt very sorry for me because I had daughters , no sons. She had two sons and one daughter , and she told me which child was her favorite ...guess which one. Susan
Thank you Anastasia!!
Me, i didn’t buy that scene with Demir where he came unglued when talking with Alya. Get upset, yes. Start crying? It seems totally out of character.
Maggie
Anastasia, I feel for you about typing on your phone. I am a rapid touch typist and have never mastered the thumb method. Perhaps you use a Bluetooth keyboard, and the problem you describe is not the ability to type, but rather to see what you're typing in Blogger.
I'm old school. I type comments on an actual wired keyboard attached to my PC (running Windows 11). And I handwrite my recaps on the back sides of printouts with mistakes or documents I no longer need. I feel like I might be saving a tree by re-using back sides of paper. Then I type my recaps into a Word document. I visually know what will fit in a comment section, so when the recap is all typed, I copy and paste it into Caray comments. I like to say Page 1 of 2, etc., so that a reader knows how long this will take!
Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Here's my super-short recap of last night's episode.

Lejos de Ti – Uzak Zehir – Far Away
Episode 41 #1
Atrapado por la avaricia – Trapped by Greed
We start out with Zerrin escaping the metal gate still dressed in her wedding dress. Kaya is sleeping inside. Suddenly he realizes she isn’t there. She is already running on the dirt road, trips and falls.
He tries to get her to stop: Don’t abandon me.
He also points out that she can’t walk in those shoes, much less run.
Zerrin: Don’t you understand that they’d never let us live in peace?
Kaya: You think we can live in peace apart?
She insists she has to leave, while Kaya begs her to stay: Can’t you see that without you, I’ll die?
Cihan with Hasan, Erol, and Halis: They said it was obvious this would happen. People are getting desperate. And Sahin rebelling against you gave them the spark, which Demir took advantage of, of course. He’s transporting merchandise without a care in the world. I hate that smug look on his face.
Hasan: Well, did you find out who the traitor is, nephew?
Cihan: Not yet.
Halis: So, why are we meeting?
Cihan: We’re going to make a shipment.
Halis: No way. We still don’t know who the traitor is. We’ll be ruined.
Hasan agrees with Halis.
Cihan agrees it is dangerous, but they have to take that chance: Except this time, fewer people will know of the shipment. Only those closest to me.
Cihan to Hasan: Uncle, listen, we’re family. And, Halis, my father really trusted you. What I mean is that nobody here will betray us. Besides you, four others will know of this, men I’d trust with my life. Tahsin, Remzi, Nazmi, and Yalcin. This time the operation has to succeed.
Hasan: It will.
Halis: But when and where will we do it?
Cihan: Tonight, it’s come in through Korkuluk. For safety reasons, it’s best we’re not there. Our men will take care of everything. That’s what we’ll do. Now I have to go.
Hasan asks if there’s any word on Kaya. Cihan says not yet. Halis says their men are looking for him. This ask if Cihan hears anything to let them know immediately.
Hasan and Halis leave.
Cihan: Erol, come here.
Cihan: Before the operation call Tahsin, Yalcin, Remzi, Nazmi, Hasan and Halis and tell them we had to change the location. You’ll give them different routes and make the shipment from each of those routes, understood?
Erol (the lightbulb goes on): So that only the traitor’s route is seized.
Cihan: Yes, and you’re playing a crucial role. All those routes you’re assigning, none of those trucks will contain merchandise of ours, is that clear? Everything we’re send out will belong exclusively to the person making that shipment.
Erol: That way only they’ll be ruined, Cihan.
Cihan: When we find out who’s leaking the information, we’re going to take care of them.
At the hospital, Alya is in the hall and greets Dr. Hilmi. He tells her he just spoke with her team, and her entire month is full and next month, too: Despite all the obstacles, you’re the most popular doctor in the hospital. Congratulations.
Alya is pleased.
There is a serious-looking henchie in the hall watching this intently. Must be working for Cihan.

Episode 41 #2
Dr. Ugur arrives in time to hear Dr. Hilmi. He also congratulates her: I never doubted what a great doctor you are, but even so, my hat’s off to you.
Alya’s phone goes off. It’s Deniz, looking for his paints. She tells him they are in the bottom drawer. She tells him she’ll try to get home early today.
Mine arrives and greets Ugur warmly. He responds in kind.
Then he asks her: Alya just recently got married, right? I overhead her speaking with her son over the phone.
Mine: She has a five-year old son.
Ugur: So, Cihan isn’t her first husband.
Miner: He’s her second. Her first husband was Cihan’s brother, Boran Albora.
Ugur is startled at this: What?
Mine: Boran Albora passed away, and Alya brought his body from Toronto to bury him here. She then married his brother Cihan Albora.
Ugur: Wait, I’m confused. She came to bury her husband and ended up marrying his brother?
Mione: Things like that happen in Midyat. The thing is, these two families are at war, and Alya married him to protect her son. I doubt she did it because she wanted to.
Ugur: That’s not good.
Mine: I know, right. I have a meeting to get to. Take care.
She leaves him puzzling over this news.
Back to Kaya and Zerrin. Kaya still says he can’t let her go. Zerrin cries that her foot hurts. Kaya keeps begging her not to leave him. She keeps saying she’s exhausted and can’t walk anymore.
He holds her and she asks what they are going to do. Both are crying.
Kaya: We love each other very much.
They kiss in the dirt road, so romantic.
Then return to the hideout and snuggle in front of the fireplace wearing very little if anything.
Kaya smiles: This heart of mine only beats for you. And you know how much it loves you?
I’d love you if you got fat, if your hair turned white, even if your teeth rot, and if you don’t want us to have five kids, I’ll accept it. If you don’t want to cook, I’ll just eat canned food and still love you. And if you want to study and be a professor, I’ll keep loving you and tell you to study in bed. Zerrin, I want you to marry me. Would you be my wife, Zerrin? [This is quite a speech for Kaya!]
Zerrin, after a moment: Yes, I’ll marry you.
Back at the Yonca hospital, Alya is sitting outside at a cafeteria table with a coffee, thinking.
Big surprise, Ugur joins her: I ran those tests on the baby.
Alya: Is she OK?
Ugur: She’s perfectly healthy.
Alya: That’s wonderful. Thank you.
Ugur: By the way, they named the baby after you.
Alya laughs: I heard. How embarrassing.
Ugur: Why would you be embarrassed? I hope she turns out as smart and beautiful as you. I’m not trying to flatter you. I’m just telling the truth.
Alya: Thanks.
Ugur: You know, I heard you speaking. That was your son on the phone, wasn’t it?
Alya: Yes
Ugur: From your first husband.
Alya: That’s right.
Ugur: This place isn’t that big. News travels fast. You came here to lay your husband to rest. I’m really sorry.
Alya: Thanks.
Ugur: Cihan Albora is your husband’s brother, isn‘t that right?
Alya stares at him and admits he is his brother: I married my deceased husband Boran’s brother.
Ugur: I’m sorry to be asking you so many questions, but did they have the same father?
Alya: I don’t understand.

Episode 41 #3
Ugur: Did Boran and Cihan Albora have the same father?
Alya looks at him in confusion.
Alya: Why are you asking me, Ugur?
Ugur: I assumed they had no relationship with their father.
Alya: Yes, they both have the same parents.
Ugur: Got it. I’m really sorry to bother you with so many qu4estions, Alya. Please forgive me.
Alya: I have to go. Have a good one.
She walks off.
FLASBACK: Dr Kilinc senior tells Ugur: When I was working at the ER a young girl arrived. She was pregnant with Azem’s brother’s baby, if I recall correctly.
Ugur: Wow.
Senior: I even remember him telling her that he’d look after the baby and her.
Ugur, to himself: They have different fathers, but she doesn’t know. Mrs. Sadakat hid the fact that she had her brother-in-law’s baby.
He mulls this over in his mind.
Cihan is getting a report about Kaya.
Kadir and Muzaffer said they checked all the hotels, and well, we think Kaya must have rented a place.
Cihan: If that’s the case, he couldn’t have done it alone. Somebody had to have helped him.
(Kadir is looking very guilty.)
Cihan asks him if he has any idea who.
Kadir: No, friend, I don’t think any of us would do something like that. We’d be scared of what you’d do.
Muzaffer agrees with this.
Cihan: Is that what I asked?
Kadir: Huh?
Cihan: I didn’t ask if it was any of you, did I, Kadir?
Kadir: No, but that’s how I took it. That’s how I understood it.
Cihan has been staring at Kadir. They all stare at one another.
The phone mercifully rings.
Cihan doesn’t stop staring at Kadir.
Kadir finally says: Your phone is ringing.
Cihan: Huh?
Kadir: The telephone.
Cihan tells them they can leave.
The phone call is from the serious looking henchie in the hospital. He reports that Dr. Ugur Kilinc was speaking to Alya in the hallway and later they ate together.
Cihan: Did he seek her out?
Henchie: Yes, that’s right, he did.
Cihan hangs up.
He paces around the room a little, then gets his coat and heads out.
He comes upon Erol giving instructions over the phone about license plates. Erol tells them not to confuse the license plates and names.
Cihan: Hang up. Why is Ugur Kilinc still at the hospital?
Erol: We’re applying pressure. He’ll be out in a few days.
Cihan: This is urgent. It can’t wait a few days. It’s urgent.
Erol: Alright.
Cihan: I’ll see you this afternoon.

Episode 41 #4
Back at the hospital, Ugur walks up to a station, and Mine comes up to him.
Mine: I wanted to give you this invitation, but you weren’t there.
He thanks her.
Mine: I also have Alya’s, but I haven’t seen her and I have to go.
Ugur: Leave it with me. I can give it to her.
She thanks him very much.
Alya walks into her office and finds Cihan sitting at her desk.
Alya: Do you have news from your brother?
Cihan is making lots of annoying noises with a self-inking stamper and making a mess of whatever paper he is stamping.
Cihan: Not yet.
Alya: Then, what are you doing here? Ah, let me guess! They immediately reported to you about what they saw in the cafeteria. I don’t believe it. They’re fast, and yeah, even though I was expecting it, I never thought it’d be that fast. You don’t have to come all the way here. We can talk about it at the mansion.
He continues stamping.
Cihan: There are many places that this character could have eaten and drunk some coffee in this enormous hospital. So why did he decide to sit with you?
Loud stamping continues.
Alya: He was curious.
Cihan: About what?
Alya: He wanted to know why a modern woman like me from Canada would marry a man like you. (Stamp!) That’s what he asked. (Stamp!) Seems perfectly natural to me. (Stamp!) If I were him, I’d wonder, too.
Cihan: (He stops playing with the stamper.) What else did he ask you?
Alya: He must’ve been having trouble believing and processing it. He was avoiding the truth. That’s why he asked if you and Boran had the same father.
That gets Cihan’s attention.
Cihan: He can’t ask that. What right does he have to ask questions about your personal life?
Alya: Oh please, I have no personal life. I don’t know what privacy is anymore.
Cihan, waving his forefinger: I don’t care if everybody knows, Alya. That person cannot sit down and ask you that, and it’s your responsibility to not allow him. How could you agree to let him sit and ask you those kinds of questions? It’s private. How could you?
Alya: Are you scolding me? What are you saying?
Cihan: Why did you give him that right?
Alya: The man’s from Istanbul. He doesn’t understand.
Cihan: That’s your excuse?
Alya: I’m just saying that when you don’t understand something, you ask. Besides, it’s normal for it to have seemed weird to him.
Cihan: He can’t.
Alya: Come on, can’t you move? (She wants to sit at her desk.)
Cihan: Do you need to write something?
Alya: Get up.

She sits in her chair.
Cihan: That man can’t just show up and ask you those things. Understand?
Alya: I don’t want to talk about it anymore.
Cihan: He can’t. I’ve told you this, Alya. You are my wife, and you didn’t listen to me. That’s why.
There is a knock on the door. [Uh oh!]
Alya: Come in.
In walks Ugur: Alya,
Cihan: Hello Dr. Ugur, how are you? Cihan shakes his hand and holds on.
Ugur: Fine, thank you.
Cihan: Are you enjoying life in Mardin?
Ugur: Very much so. It’s great.
Finally, Cihan lets go of his hand.
Alya: What’s going on, Ugur?
Ugur: Sorry for the interruption, but I came to give you your invitation.
Alya takes it, thanking him. Cihan reaches out for it, but Alya keeps it close.
Cihan: Let me see that. Give it to me.
Alya explains it’s to celebrate the hospital’s anniversary, right?
Ugur agrees that it is.
Ugur looks uncomfortable.
Cihan: Ugur, why do you have her invitation?
Ugur: The person handing them out couldn’t find Alya, so she gave it to me to give to her. Is there a problem?
Cihan: Of course not. Why would there be?
Alya: He only offered because he’s a kind man, Cihan.
Cihan: I don’t doubt it. I was just wondering why a probably very busy doctor would take the trouble. That’s all.
Ugur: I understand.
Cihan: Yes.
Ugur: See you at the party. If you decide to go, that is.
Alya: I’ll be there.
Ugur goes to leave and Cihan tells him to take care.
Alya: I can’t believe this.
Cihan: He brought you this like he’s got nothing better to do.
Alya: Give me that. (She puts the invitation on her desk). What’s wrong with you?
What did I do now? Why did you get like that in front of him?
Cihan, forefinger raised: But I’ve done nothing. If I wanted, I could disappear him from this hospital. Then we’d see what would happen.
Alya: I don’t understand what your problem with him is. He brought me the invitation because he was being nice.
Cihan: You think he did it because he was being nice? He’s coming on to you. Don’t you see it? Come on!
Alya: That’s ridiculous. Maybe he’s married.
Cihan: He’s single.
Alya: And how do you know that?
Cihan: Because I know everything. You ought to know that.
Alya: Um hm. Are you jealous?
Cihan: What the hell are you talking about? Why would I be jealous, Alya?
Alya smiles at him: Then, what is your problem? What is this?
Cihan: I’ve explained hundreds of times but you still don’t get it. Or maybe you just don’t want to understand.
Alya: I’m going to lose my mind.
Cihan: You’re not going.
Alya: Why not? Don’t tell me it’s for my safety.
Cihan: You’re not going somewhere he’ll be.

Alya: Then I can’t come here either. We work in the same hospital and see each other all the time.
Cihan: Don’t worry, I’m getting rid of him.
Alya: Are you serious? You’re going to kill him? You’re being absurd.
Cihan: I just want him to leave.
Alya: Look, we’re not playing around. The two of us are both very good doctors, and we’ve both had excellent careers.
Cihan: That’s why when he gets fired, He’ll have no problem finding another job. So, don’t worry.
Alya: I’m going to that event. That is all.
Cihan: You’re going?
Alya: Yes.
Cihan: Great, I’m coming with you.
Alya: Why? Oh, I forgot I’d be lost without my husband.
Cohan: No, you’d be alone and that man will be there. I’m going with you.
Alya sits in frustration.
Cihan: For how many is this invitation? For two, obviously.
Alya: What did you expect?
Cihan: If you don’t have plans, and weren’t going with someone else, I’ll take you.
Alya: OK, but what if Ugur shows up with his girlfriend? Won’t you feel embarrassed?
Cihan: Not at all. I’d tell his girlfriend to be careful because Ugur’s hitting oh my wife.
Alya: Bravo.
Cihan: I’d be outside waiting for you.
Now Alya starts playing with the stamper in frustration.
In the hall, Mine is watching and sees Cihan and Alya.
Alya: Good afternoon, Mine.
Mine: Good afternoon, Alya.
Cihan greets her nonchalantly in passing: How’s it going?
Mine: And good afternoon, to you, too Cihan.
He ignores her.
It’s nighttime.
Cihan and Alya arrive at the konak.
Cihan tells her he will arrive late.
Alya: Why? Is someone waiting for you?
Sadakat: Cihan, do you think Kaya has taken Zerrin to another city, or worse, another country?
Cihan: No, he hasn’t left the country. He can’t. His passport is still in his room, Mother, and I really doubt that he has gone to another city because I don’t think he wants to abandon us.
Sadakat: With him, one never knows, and Zerrin has him hypnotized. Don’t forget it. What about the traitor? Have you taken charge of that matter?
Cihan: I hope to this evening.
Sadakat: And the cardiologist at the hospital is still working?
Cihan: I want to get rid of him, but it is nothing easy because of the influence of Demir in the hospital.
Sadakat: I’m very afraid, Cihan.
Cihan: I know.
They look at one another for awhile, and then Cihan says it’s cold and will be snowing soon. He tells his mother to go inside and rest.
She agrees and goes upstairs.
He gets back in his car.
Alya sits in her green chair and ponders the day.

Cihan goes into his office and asks Erol if he was able to get rid of Dr. Ugur.
Erol: Nice to see you, too. Why are you interrogating me? What did that man do that you’re so obsessed with him?
Cihan: Just answer the question. Has he been fired?
Erol: Cihan, please, we discussed it this afternoon. Not yet.
Cihan: Find a good hospital in Diyarbakir. Have them make him a good offer. He can’t stay here any longer. I’m serious. I don’t want that man working in that hospital another minute with my wife.
Erol: Don’t tell me you’re jealous of Ugur being around Alya, friend?
Cihan: I told you to stay out of it, Erol.
Erol: Fine.
They drink silently.
Then Erol says he will start calling the suspects.
Cihan: Do it.
Erol: I’ll start with your uncle.
Cihan: Do it.
Cihan looks very serious, wondering who the traitor will be.
The call is on speakerphone:
Hasan: What’s up Erol?
Erol: Good evening, Hasan. The traitor’s informed the gendarmerie about the operation. We changed the route.
Hasan: You changed it? Where will it be now?
Erol: It will come in through Kucuksu.
Hasan: Thanks for telling me, Erol.
Erol: Have a good night.
Next call is Halis and follows the same line as the call to Hasan.
Alya is waiting in her room, dressed in her pajamas. One she hears Cihan, she runs to pretend to be asleep on her chair.
Cihan comes in and covers her as usual with the blanket.
He goes in his room. She sits up and watches his shadows in the glass.
He puts his phone on the coffee table in front of his couch and waits. Finally, Erol calls.
Erold: We have the traitor.
Cihan: Who? (He listens). That’s good. We need to prepare everything immediately.

Kaya calls Kadir. He goes out to get the call. They offer him food to go, but he says, Later!
Kadir: Hello. Wait, I can’t talk here.
He gets to a more secluded place and asks what’s up.
Kaya and Zerrin are all snuggled up in front of the fire.
Kayta: Hola, Kadir.
Kadir: All day I couldn’t get away from Muzaffer being right on top of me, or I would have taken you food.
Kaya: That’s fine, friend. Forget the food.
Kadir: I can’t, Kaya. Food has become the symbol of our relationship.
Kaya: Kadir! We’re going to marry.
Alya has walked out on a balcony and can now hear this.
Kadir: How are you going to do this?
Kaya: Zerrin doesn’t have her identification. You need to get a temporary one for her. Can you do that? Please?
Kadir: Yes, that’s fine, Kaya. I’ll do it.
He hangs up and Alya comes over to him.
Alya: Kadir?
Kadir: Hello Alya. Good day!
Alya: What are you doing?
Kadir: Nothing.
She asks again, and he swallows and says: They are going to marry.
Alya: Kaya and Zerrin? Where are they?
Kadir: I can’t tell you. I’m sorry. Kaya would kill me.
Alya: You know what Cihan will do to you if he finds out?
Kadir: I don’t want to think about it.
Alya: I’m going to the hospital, but when I get out of work, take me to them.
Kadir: I can’t do that, Alya. Please don’t ask. I’m sorry.
Alya: Then I’ll tell Cihan what you’re hiding.
Kadir’s face is a storm cloud. He sighs.
At Nare’s place, Ozcan is eating breakfast and offers Nare some when she enters. She declines. Ozcan says he has a meeting as he finishes his food.
Ozcan: Sahin will be at the meeting with Demir.
Now he has Nare’s attention.
Nare: What are you talking about?
Then she tells him she doesn’t believe him.
Ozcan: Really? Then get ready and see for yourself.
We see three vehicles winding through town. Cihan gets out of one and says: Hello, how are you?
There is a group of men there and Sahin is sitting in a chair. One of the men says: You contacted us right away.
Cihan: Yes, it was quick.
They hope he brings good news.
He says let’s go inside. This meeting is important.
Cihan greets Uncle Hasan and Halis. They ask if everything is OK.
Cihan says, no, we need to meet. It’s very important. He beckons them all inside. It’s a snug room, but there are several tables and there is hot tea. Cihan asks Hasan and Hallis to sit next to him.
Sahin is at the door, observing.
Cihan: As you all know, our last few shipments have been ambushed. The gendarmerie always finds out about our activities, which means something’s not right. We have a traitor in our midst that I must find since I’m the leader of the Alboras. I have a responsibility to you, don’t I?
The crowd agrees.
Cihan continues: So, I planned a small delivery that only my uncle Hasan, Halis, Yalcin, Remzi, Tahsin, and Nazmi knew about. But even that shipment was raided. So, unfortunately, the traitor is one of them. That is why I decided to set up the traitor and as expected, the traitor fell for the trap.

Hasan: Are you saying you found him?
Cihan: Yes.
Halis: Cihan, this can’t be. Who is it?
Cihan: I’ll explain what happened. Before sending that merchandise, I called all of them, all the people I mentioned, and I told them I changed the route. But what they didn’t know, is that I assigned a different route to each of them, and they all thought there was only one shipment.
Someone asked: Which was the route that was ambushed, Cihan?
Cihan: It turns out that the person who’s been betraying us from the beginning, the person I called my friend, and who once led the Alboras, the person that my late father, Azem Albora, always had complete trust in is Halis.
Halis: This is a joke, Cihan. I was always your father’s friend.
The crowd takes hold of him
Cihan: You joined forces with Ecmel to defeat the Alboras and betrayed us. You stole from all these people, from their families, wives, children, and all for greed and your lust for power, Halis. You abandoned your principles and turned your back on us. You have no honor. How could you betray those that supported you? How could you betray us? Why’d you do it?
Halis: You’re setting me up, Cihan. Those trucks are yours, not mine. Did you report your own trucks? Answer me?
Cihan: Don’t yell. You think you’re the victim? That was your route with your merchandise, just like Hasan’s were his. The person betraying us would affect himself, that’s why the gendarmerie will be here soon to take you away.
Halis: That’s impossible. Don’t believe Cihan.
Cihan: Sit down.
Halis keeps hollering that he has made a huge mistake and that he’ll be sorry. Your father would be so disappointed.
Cihan: If you mention my father again, I’ll kill you. I’d be the last person you ever heard, and I wouldn’t care if you lived or died. If you cross paths with me again, I’ll ruin you.
Halis: What’s wrong with you?
Some of the men tell him to be quiet and sit down.
Cihan tells the men: He’s your responsibility until they come and take him, alright?
They agree and will give him to the gendarmerie after he gives them an explanation.
Halis: I was your father’s friend. You grew up with me. Don’t betray me.
The crowd moves in on Halis. We don’t see the rest.
Outside, Sahin and Cihan speak.
Sahin: You called me to observe this to prove you could find the traitor without having to give up your lands. Sahin looks at him seriously for a moment, and then says: Well played!
Cihan turns to leave.

Thanks, Babachita. A holiday treat in between preparing for La Vigilia. Big fish dinner.
Those villagers address Cihan as “ağam”, my lord or my master. A big deal landowner.
Ugur did the 2+2 quickly. He’s gonna cause trouble.
They made it seem like Hasan was the rat. But why would he betray his sister? It didn’t seem possible to me. Halis was the likely one. He was an arrogant pr*ck. I suppose he lost his standing as Albora leader when Azem’s sons became old enough. Halis said something in the Turkish to Cihan—there are things that you don’t know.
The kitchen conversation continued after Kadir left to take Kaya’s call. Ummu says something’s not right, normally Kadir would have tried to take the whole tray. Has he stopped eating or drinking? Is he in love? Pakize is skeptical. Why not, Ummu replies, he’s getting older, we would make him a home. Who would he do it with, Pakize asks. Ummu says, who else but you! Pakize starts to talk back, and Ummu threatens to tear her tongue out. Pakize asks, how did you understand this? I understood, Ummu answers, but I wish I didn’t.
Imprecise translations in this episode. Kadir told Kaya that Muzzafer was all over him so he couldn’t bring the baklava. Kaya said forget the baklava. Kadir said he can’t forget because “baklava has become the symbol of this (Kaya and Zerrin’s) relationship”. Kaya said if Zerrin didn’t want to cook, he’d eat lamacun every day. If she didn’t want to have 5 children, he would accept just 4.
Kadir is such a romantic. Ha, foolish Kadir, who can’t bear to see love hurt. That’s why he’s helping Kaya at great risk to himself. Now Alya will be in on it.
The wedding dress came off, and I’ll bet an Albora x 2 baby is loading.
Babachita- thank you for this excellent recap, beautifully written.
“I’d love you even if your teeth rot.” Now, there’s a line I haven’t heard before. Kaya, you silver-tongued devil!
Well anyway, finally somebody kissed somebody! Up til now it’s just been long-suffering looks between various lovesick characters.
Poor softie Kadir! What is going to happen when he’s found out? Will Cihan understand?

Thanks, Babachita, for another excellent recap and in the midst of the busyness of the holidays.
Looks like Zerrin's foot or sprained ankle wasn't THAT bad. dondi, interesting idea that another Albora could be on the way. I am just crossing my fingers and toes that these two DO marry and somehow escape the wrath of Ecmel. I loved Kaya's speech about how he'd love her fat, grey and with rotten teeth.
I felt like shaking Alya for answering any of Ugur's prying questions. I'm not sure what his motive is. I suppose they're hinting he'd like to get Alya for himself. But some of it just seems like he's just nosy. And he's the writers' vehicle for letting the cat out of the bag.
Cihan is right about Alya letting the guy question her, especially in this part of Turkey. I'm positive Cihan won't be able to get rid of Ugur before he spills the beans about Boran's parentage.
Hmm. I thought the big anniversary party was that very night, but we saw Alya in her jammies. It drives me nuts that they keep showing her sleeping in that chair. She's not 15. If she slept at all, she'd wake up with a backache. And doctors especially need enough sleep so as to not kill someone.
The food discussion was very confusing. Thank you for giving it some clarity, Dondi. Baklava makes more sense. I’m pretty sure the dress came off that night, and there is usually a TN/dizi rule that ensures a new Albora is on the way.
Novelera, I also thought the party was that night, but next we knew Alya was sleeping on her chair. I agree, silly chair. But very stubborn folks here. It did seem off to get invitations for that night. So, perhaps the anniversary party is yet to come.
They did make Hasan look guilty, but it was Halis. However, there may be more to this if Halis was right about Cihan not having the full story. Did the crowd beat up Halis or worse?
The love declaration of Kaya was unique. He is such a hot head, but he is seriously in love. I worry for Kadir. His job was to look out for Kaya, which he did. But he lied to Cihan.
Interesting about the title Agam. Is that like Aga, often used in Arabic nations? I think I saw Aga used for someone in this dizi in the cast listing. It was for Mahmut Nalhalnohlu, Sedat’s father. His name was “Mahmut Aga” on the imdb list.
Hope you all had memorable evenings!
