Episode 79 #1
At Omer’s home
The Four Musketeers (Husseyn, Omer, Arda, Pelin) are sitting on the patio watching Omer’s telephone showing the apprehension of the “traitor” Mahmut, who, of course, has been framed by the real traitors, Ali and Husseyn. As we suspected, Mahmut is indeed the policeman who threatened and tried to attack Elif. Husseyn grabs the phone and said they can watch it later. He did tell them that he didn’t mention Tayyar. The informer gave his name, but only his nickname.
Omer: What about Ali? Metin said Ali was the informer.
Husseyn: Come on, Metin is absolutely crazy. You shouldn’t trust any of his words.
Husseyn goes on to ask: Would you believe him if he says one day that I was the informer?
Arda and Pelin look at one another. Omer: Of course I wouldn’t, how could I?
Husseyn: Look, I took these recordings from Ali. We set a secret meeting. (Arda and Pelin look at one another at this.) Would he do so if he was a bad man? (Husseyn, of course, knows all about Arda following him to his meeting with Ali. He is smirking as he is saying all this.)
Husseyn: No comment? You want to hear more? Here (he shows a document), evidence of the district attorney taking money, 500,000L. There you are.
Pelin: We already checked those accounts, both the prosecutor’s and his wife’s.
Husseyn: Have you thought about checking his wife’s stepsister’s account?
Omer: Oh, Pelin, how did you guys miss this?
Arda: You’re right. Sorry. We should have checked.
Husseyn, magnanimously and grandiosely: OK, you don’t have to feel bad. We’re learning. You’ll learn in time. Here stands the chief, with many years of experience. You make fun of me when I say it, but I didn’t just fool around while turning this hair and this beard white. You will learn in time, but we need to make the prosecutor talk, it’s important.
Omer, who has been buying all this: We have a plan for the prosecutor. We’ll deal with him.
Husseyn: Nice, yeah, if we make him give a statement by himself, it’ll be better. We’ll get a lead quicker. By the way, don’t scare the man. He has a ticket to the USA. If he goes, we’re done. We’d have to wait for the new prosecutor to be assigned and tell him about the Elif situation and hope to convince him. If it goes wrong, it will be hard for us to get her out. Be careful.
Omer: Thanks, Husseyn.
Husseyn, perhaps hoping for more thanks: All right, then, stand up (to Pelin), come give me a hug. (In her ear) I have good news for you.
Pelin: What are you talking about?
Husseyn: Did you think I would stop after finding the informer? I faced up to Ali. Fortunately, he helped me. You’re assigned back on to the mission.
Omer now has a big grin.
Pelin: Seriously? So, did the doctor who died (Guray) have anything to do with Mahmut?
Husseyn: We think he does. Mahmut didn’t say anything like that, but he told me he was in the department the day the man died.
Pelin: Thank you very much, Chief. Thank you.
Omer: Congratulations, partner!
Husseyn: You don’t need to thank me. I did my job. Did you think I would just let you guys go like that?
[Arda has a smile, but I don’t think he’s buying all this. He probably is impressed with the lengths Husseyn went to pull this off. Arda doesn’t get a warm hug, either.]

Episode 79 #2
At the Denizer mansion
Asli is sitting in the living room looking out at Istanbul at night. She has been thinking and picks up her phone to call her Bitter Aunt (BA), who answers this time.
BA: Oh, girl, tell me where have you been? I couldn’t reach you for such a long time. I’ve been calling Nilufer, and she never responds, It’s even harder to reach you. (Asli rolls her eyes.) Your home phone is never answered either.
Asli: We don’t answer phones because of the journalists. Bahar was going to deal with them, but she’s not around. [I just noticed this. Is she gone for good, I hope?]
BA: OK, I see. So, how are you doing?
Asli: Let’s just say we’re doing our best. I just wanted to thank you [uh oh!] for sending the money as soon as Nilufer called you.
Bitter Aunt is very confused at this.
BA: I’m sorry?
Asli: I mean, the money you sent.
BA: Ah, of course, (making quite a face). The thing is that I’ve been so busy recently that I forgot all about it. You know, the money.
Asli: Yeah, sure.
BA: Was it enough? So tell me, did the kids send you the right about of money?
Asli: Of course it was; they sent 700,000L.
BA (impactada), OK, if you need any more, you know I can always send you more. Just let me know. And, how are you now? How’s Elif? I saw her on the news awhile ago? Dld you see each other? Could you help her?
Asli [her expressions are fun to watch as she listens to this. Asli is very entertaining!]: She’s fine. She’ll be out soon.
BA: I hope so. And please tell Nilufer not to call me only when she needs money. Tell her to check if I’m doing well or not sometimes.
Asli: OK, Aunt, Thank you for very much again. Have a good evening.
BA: Good night.
They hang up. Bitter Aunt is thinking hard! She sighs and turns to her young female assistant: You see that? If you don’t have your job done properly, you have to deal with it yourself.
Assistant: Actually, you showed the girls (her daughters, I think) the set, so they took it out. [This was confusing. It shows that BA’s daughters and her assistant are all involved with her money decisions. The “set” must be where they think the daughter/s got the cash. We know that cash came from Mert, so I’m a little confused about the “set” discussion. That cash should still be there, unless, of course, the daughters have been using it for themselves.]
BA: Please, it’s nonsense. I’m still trying to teach you how it’s done after all these years. Stop trying to hang on to my words.
Assistant nods and leaves the room.
Bitter Aunt is still trying to make sense of what she heard from Asli.
Back at Elvan’s
Arda: OK, then, I’ll see you later!
Omer is getting ready to leave. Husseyn offers to join them. Omer: No, Husseyn you have a rest.
Husseyn: But you mess up things when I’m not there, you know.
Pelin: See what happens now. Husseyn will keep on fooling us with this.
Husseyn: Of course, it’s not over yet. I will get you in line in the morning and make you kiss my hand.
Husseyn snickers at this along with Arda and Pelin.
Husseyn to Arda: What’s up? Don’t look so nervous.
Arda: Don’t worry.
Arda and Pelin leave.

Episode 79 #3
Omer: Hey, Husseyn. I’m sorry for that day in the hospital. I was angry. I couldn’t manage my anger.
Husseyn: Honestly, it hurt me deeply. Later on, I thought one only hurts those that one loves. It’s all in the past now. I’m happy that you’re smiling now. It’s enough for me. These things happen between brothers. You know I care for you.
They hug.
Omer: Husseyn, I apologize.
Husseyn: I apologize, too. My apologies. (Husseyn has a sad look in his eyes.) OK, Come on. They are waiting for you.
Arda takes the license plates off a minibus outside Omer’s home. Now it looks exactly like Tayyar’s minibus.
Pelin: The minibus in front of his house is his, right? You’re sure?
Arda: Yes, I’ve seen him many times getting out of it. It was really hard even to find a like one.
Pelin: Your clothes are at the back, OK?
Arda: Anyway, did you see what he did? I made a big mistake accusing Husseyn of this. I couldn’t even look at his face while watching Mahmut’s confession video.
Pelin: I told you, Arda, didn’t I?
Omer joins them: Sorry I kept you waiting. So, let’s get going, partners. We have a job to do.
They drive off. We see Husseyn finishing his meal at the table. His phone rings.
He answers: Hi Tayyar.
Tayyar: I hope I didn’t wake you up.
Husseyn: No.
Tayyar: You know heroes don’t sleep at all.
Husseyn: Did you just call for a midnight chat?
Tayyar: Remember we made an agreement to cease fire today? I realized that I missed you when I first saw that paper, Husseyn.
Husseyn: Say anything else you have to say.
Tayyar: How does it feel to be the hero of the day? It’s nice, isn’t it?
Husseyn: Good, very good.
Tayyar: I hope your plan works and I don’t regret this. That you’ll stay a hero. Pray for it. If this plan fails, the consequences will be heavy. Keep this in mind.
Husseyn hangs up looking thoughtful. He finishes his drinks and looks almost teary-eyed.
We see Arda walking to the courthouse (or police station, I get the exteriors confused), while Omer and Pelin stay in the minibus. Arda is wearing a wire. Pelin is afraid he doesn’t have the wire on properly. Omer tells her not to worry: It’ll work. What else can he do?
Pelin: Don’t say that. It makes me feel bad.
Omer: What’s there to make you feel bad about? Arda is a good boy. If he breaks your heart, I’ll break his head. He knows that. Don’t worry about it.
They smile at each other.
Arda speaks: I saw him. He’s coming to the door. (It’s the DA.) Arda approaches him: Good evening, sir. He sent me to inform you.
DA: About what? Who sent you?
Arda: Your daughter’s operation has been delayed. Also, your flight to the US. You will go next week. I will give you your new tickets.
Babachita
Episode 79 #4
The DA looks incredulous: What are you talking about? I don’t have that time. My daughter can’t survive one more week. We’ll lose her. Go and tell your boss that we must go when we agree, otherwise he can forget about me. Am I clear? I’ll let the woman go in the morning.
Arda: You can tell him this yourself. He’s waiting for you in the minibus. Please, this way.
They walk toward the minibus that Omer and Pelin are in.
Pelin: When I say three, the bird is in the cage. Count up to three.
Arda opens the door, and the DA is not happy to see Omer, not Tayyar.
Omer: Welcome, dear Prosecutor Chief. We’ve been waiting for you.
With Arda right behind him, he has no way to escape and finally enters the minibus.
In the basement of a parking garage
The minibus stops (with Omer, Arda, Pelin, and the DA (who thought he was meeting with Tayyar).
Omer: As I told you, sir, we have strong evidence. In fact, your conversation with my colleague in front of the building was recorded.
DA looking uncomfortable: How can you listen to me without any authorization?
Omer: We’re both on the same side, sir. Don’t panic and listen to me.
DA: What do you want from me? Why did you bring me here?
Omer: Commissioner Mahmut, who was in contact with you, admitted that he was the informer and gave you the instructions he received from above. We proved that everything was organized through the instructions that they gave. We’ve also recorded Commissioner Mahmut’s confession, and we also have the receipt for a large amount of money that was transferred to your wife’s stepsister’s account.
They wait a bit, letting the DA ponder this information: What do you want from me?
Omer: The answer’s simple. All we want you to do is your job. We just want you to administer the law. We want you to take Elif out of jail, who you took into custody without any good reason.
DA: Look, all of this…
Omer, interrupts: I know that you’ve done all of this for your daughter. I also know that in the past you’ve done your job. You practiced the law honestly before this case. If you’re without hope it can make you desperate to try anything. I’m not saying you’re right, but I understand. Listen to your conscience. Is it right to destroy someone’s life in order to save another? If you accuse Elif of her father’s mistakes, this will ruin her life.
The DA is very impactado. He thinks for a while.
DA: Do you want me to let my daughter die? I can’t do this.
Omer: She’ll be fine. Here’s the money you need for the operation. (He hands him the bag full of Metin’s money.)
The DA still looks unconvinced, but maybe there’s some hope.
Back at the station (or courthouse)
Elif, in her new clean cell, puts her food tray by the door. In walks Sebnem, the lawyer. Good cop is happy to let her into Elif’s cell.
Sebnem: It’s over, Elif, you’re free.
Babachita
Episode 79 #5
Elif: Really? How?
Sebnem: The DA found out that he made a mistake. He reviewed your company files and he decided that it was your father, not you, who was guilty. This also means he has accepted that Nilufer was kidnapped.
Elif: What about Fatih Dundar?
Sebnem: He is free now until the first hearing. We will see what happens after that.
Elif, starting to react: So, I’m totally free now!
Good cop smiles, watching her hug the lawyer.
Sebnem brought her some clothes: You can change and then pull yourself together. While you’re busy doing that, we’ll do what’s necessary.
They hug some more, Elif looking happy and Sebnem looking a little worried, probably because she works for Tayyar, IIRC. [I could be wrong here, but that’s my impression.]
We see the DA with his daughter on a stretcher.
Omer: Asli’s arranged everything with a friend who lives in America. She’ll take care of everything you need until you get back here. She’ll let you know.
DA’s daughter: Thank you, Officer Omer, for all your efforts.
He smiles and strokes her hair: Take as many photos as you can, OK? We’ll talk when you’re back.
Smiles from DA, his wife, and daughter. [I’m wishing they would hurry up and get going!]
DA tells daughter to look after her mother. (I guess he is staying put for now.) She promises to and asks him to take care of himself, too. They load her into ambulance and wife hugs DA before she joins their daughter in the ambulance. They wave at one another.
We see the DA and Omer and good cop and, uh oh, Husseyn is there, too!!!
DA to Omer: I’ve never taken a wrong turn in my life. I’ll pay for everything I’ve done. I know it’s not easy for you to understand me, but you will when you become a father.
Omer: Consider all the options first before you make a verdict, OK, sir?
DA wipes away tears: OK, I’m ready. Let’s go now.
The cop gestures to his car. Husseyn and Omer are left behind. [I’m a little paranoid here. Now I’m worried about the DA—were those cops honest or loyal to Husseyn?!!!]
Husseyn: And here ends the story of our hero. It’s like a movie ending.
Omer: Don’t make fun of it, now.
Husseyn: I’m not. You’ve done a really good thing.
Omer: They’ll assign the DA to the High Council of Judge and Prosecutors, right?
Husseyn: Yes, let me tell you. He’s never seen Tayyar. He always talked to Mahmut. Now Mahmut is in custody for investigation. We can go for revenge, if you want.
Omer: Maybe we should leave this for another time. This is my happiest day ever.
Husseyn: Yeah, what else have we go to do? Let’s go there quickly and give her a surprise. Just think, she’ll be so glad to see the sunshine again.
Omer: Is everything ready?
Husseyn: Yes, I arranged the place and everything else.
Omer: Good. What about the ring?
Husseyn: It’s also arranged. They’re customizing it for Elif today.

Episode 79 #6
At the Denizer mansion
Asli is looking for Hulya. Asli opens the front door for Elvan, Melike, and Demet.
Asli, looking confused: Good morning?
Nilufer comes down: Welcome! Good morning!
Elvan: Thank you. I heard that Elif was getting out. We thought we’d cook her favorite food so that we’d also have a helping hand (in her release celebration).
Asli looks confused and rolls her eyes. [The actress is probably the most gifted eye-roller I have seen in a dizi!]
Melike: We wanted to come.
Asli: I wish you hadn’t.
Melike: Do you mean me?
Nilufer: Why are you waiting at the door. Please come in, please.
Asli: Please keep your shoes on. We don’t have those customs.
Elvan: But when it rains where we live, everything is covered with mud, so we’ll make it dirty everywhere.
Asli: No, no, no! Please don’t worry.
Elvan looks uncomfortable, but Melike speaks up: OK, then.
They enter.
Nilufer: So, we were planning to decorate the house for the whole celebration.
Asli: As far as I know, Omer has different plans. Elif won’t come home straight away.
Melike, grinning: Sure, I know! We know about everything.
Melike reaches out and touches Asli’s arm. Asli quickly recoils from this.
Melike: Yesterday, they got us all together. They were getting prepared for something. He’ll let us know when they’re ready and then we’ll go.
Nilufer is smiling, Asli is grimacing, and Elvan looks concerned.
Nilufer: OK, then we can all go together.
Melike: That would be great. We’ve come all the way through here. It was tiring.
Asli gives her an arched expression.
Melike continues: Got a bus, got a Metro, got a cab, all very crowded. So good that you have a car. We can all go together in comfort. (Asli looks truly horrified at this idea, clasping her throat, [but no pearls here] in dismay.)
Nilufer laughs.
Asli asks what food she has brought for Elif.
Elvan: This is salty yogurt and here’s some chili pepper paste and there was a market this morning, so those are fresh vegetables I bought from them.
Nilufer: Hulya! Please help Aunt Elvan just show her the kitchen.
Melike: I know the kitchen. It’s not the first time I’ve been here. And also, this counts as our house from now on (Asli’s eyebrows are way up now!). Don’t worry, come on, Mom, Demet, come on. They go to the kitchen. Nilufer is going to join them, but Asli calls her back.
Asli: What’s all this?
Nilufer: You’re really obsessed about these people.
Babachita
Episode 79 #7
Asli: This is really rude. They come and go whenever they want. Shouldn’t they be informing us in advance?
Nilufer: OK, they want to make a surprise and help us for Elif. Don’t we like Omer? We do. He’s a really good person and these people are his family. It won’t change no matter if you like them or not.
Asli: OK, talk to them and tell them to inform us in advance if they come in the future.
Nilufer: I will, Asli.
In the kitchen, Elvan thanks Hulya: Thank you very much, my beautiful girl.
Hulya seems appreciative.
Elvan asks Melike: Tell me, didn’t you inform them about our visit? They weren’t expecting us.
Melike: I’m sorry. I totally forgot about it. (Elvan has a disapproving look at this.) And, what’s the problem? We’re practically related now.
Elvan: I really don’t know what to say to you.
While they are talking, Demet (just as she did previously) seems dazed in reaction to things in the kitchen. She reaches out and touches several items.
Melike: You don’t say anything, Mom, it’s not an issue. Elif is going to marry in the family. We’re almost relatives. They should get used to us coming here more often.
Elvan: Well, anyway, just wash them.
Demit, with a mug she had filled: I’m going to the garden.
Melike: Demet! Don’t make me crazy. Give us a hand.
Demit appears not to hear and goes outside. Elvan says to let her go.
In the garden, Mert is walking fast and collides with Demet. She makes a little scream in surprise.
Mert: Oh, excuse me! I’m sorry.
She is entranced with Mert, just like she is with all the other things in the house. She just stares at him.
Mert: Are you OK?
Demet nods her head.
Mert: We haven’t met, have we?
She shakes her head, again in a trancelike state.
Mert, smiling: Are you friends with Nilufer?
Demet: No.
Mert, laughing: It’s good that you know how to talk. My name’s Mert.
He grins and leaves her and walks on to wherever he was headed.
She smiles and, still dazed, starts to follow him.
In the kitchen, Elvan and Melike are preparing the food. Hulya is looking for things in drawers. Mert walks in, followed by Demet.
Mert: Hi.
Elvan and Melike greet him.
Mert: What’s going on? Did we hire a catering company for Elif’s party?
Melike: Oh, come on. We’re Elif’s relatives, or we will be soon, actually.
Elvan: I am Elvan, I’m Omer’s mother. This is Melike my older son’s wife and this is my granddaughter, Demet.
Mert: I’m childhood friends with Elif and Nilufer. I’ve been staying here for awhile. Anyway, take it easy. See you!
Babachita
Episode 70 #8
Mert leaves, and Demet is still in her trancelike state, smiling and following him with her eyes.
Melike notices this and hits her with a spoon: What are you doing with your mouth open?
(Elvan is startled at this.) Pull yourself together. Go prepare the ingredients for the salad. Demet complies.
Now we get a discussion of old-fashioned v. modern customs as Melike says to Elvan: Mom, how can this be possible? What does this single man do in a house with three young girls in it?
Elvan keeps shredding a carrot without comment.
Later, Elvan and Melike are in the living room. Melike is looking in a chest. Elvan says: This is actually not right. We shouldn’t be doing this.
Melike: Mom, you take these.
Elvan: Their assistant is also gone.
The doorbell rings as Elvan is holding a silver tray. She puts it down and goes to answer the door to find…Bitter Aunt (BA) and her assistant.
Elvan says hello.
BA: Who are you? Why are you staring at me?
Elvan struggles to answer this.
BA: OK, here, take these bags upstairs. She hands the luggage to Elvan.
Elvan has a puzzled look.
BA: There was Hulya. It seems she’s not here. Have they just hired you?
Melike has been watching this.
Elvan doesn’t answer.
BA: What a strange person you are. Why don’t you answer my questions? Where are you from? They must have looked for you for a long time. OK. Go upstairs and tell Asli and Nilufer that their aunt is here. Do you understand?
Elvan is still at a loss for words.
BA: Why are you frozen like this? Who am I talking to?
Elvan looks away.
BA: Honestly, I feel like fainting. Please go and make coffee for me. I bet this woman can’t make it. She probably doesn’t even know how to make decent coffee.
Nilufer and Asli come downstairs, Nilufer telling Asli to calm down.
BA: Surprise!
They are definitely surprised.
Asli: Welcome, Auntie. So good to see you.
BA hugs her, saying how good it is to see her. They both greet their aunt.
Elvan and Melike are still standing there.
Melike: I’m Melike, and that woman that you were just telling to carry your bags is Elif’s mother-in-law. I understand now that you are Elif’s aunt. Nice to meet you.
BA takes a haughty, appraising look at Elvan from head to toe.
Elvan makes one of her lovely smiles.
BA to Melike: Nice to meet you, too.
She doesn’t seem able to welcome Elvan.
At the jail cell, the four musketeers are visiting with Elif through the bars.
Arda: Come on guys. Everyone knows about your Fame in this matter. Look at him. He’s going to cry. Looks like you’re going to cry, too.
Pelin: Chief, I think you shouldn’t say no. Your brother is asking a favor from you on such an unforgettable day. Don’t break his heart.
Arda: Well…
Husseyn: Well, look at this. You’ve gathered your entire team around for us. OK, I accept. If my brother’s in, I’m also in.
Omer: Thank you, Husseyn!
Babachita
Episode 79 #9
Husseyn: Come here and give me a hug. (Arda, Pelin, and Omer join this hug.) I love you guys.
Omer: Just be careful.
They are distracted, and then Elif emerges, nicely dressed thanks to Sebnem who brought her clothes and other items.
There is nice shot of the four musketeers smiling together as Elif emerges.
Omer: Elif, my love!
The cell door is opened and Elif walks to her friends. She is finally able to smile as she hugs Omer.
Omer: Are you OK?
Elif: I’m fine at last. How are you? How’s your arm?
Omer: I took my meds, so I’m fine. I missed you so much. [The chemistry of the stars is again very apparent as Omer and Elif embrace in this scene.]
Husseyn: Omer, come in so we can say congratulations. Get better soon, too, girl. (to Elif)
Elif: Thank you as she hugs Husseyn.
Omer: Husseyn is the one who got you out.
Husseyn: Don’t exaggerate. I’ve only done my duty.
Elif: Was it really you? Thank you so much. (She hugs him again.) It really means so much to me. (Husseyn looks a tad guilty here, as he should.)
Arda: Get well soon, Elif!
She hugs Pelin, who exclaims: Such happiness Elif. Then Arda hugs her.
Husseyn is watching all this.
Elif smiles at Omer.
At the Denizer mansion
We hear lots of laughter as the Bitter Aunt and Nilufer, Asli, Elvan, Melike, and Demet enter the living room.
Bitter Aunt (I think she is Nedret): Shame on you ladies. You should have told me who you were. How would I know I was surprised to see this house so crowded. Besides, I was not expecting any visitors at this hour.
Melike: You despise us…
Elvan interrupts Melike: Whatever. It’s over. I’m very happy that I’ve met you. I’m Omer’s mother, Elvan Demir. Omer, Elif’s friend.
Asli: My aunt comes from a prominent family, Nedret Denizer Kuloglu.[ What a snob Asli is here. If Denizer is her maiden name, she might be Ahmet’s sister.]
Nedret, laughs heartily: You’re a sweet girl, Asli. How did you remember that? Nobody has used that name for years. Denizer! It reminds me of my youth.
At the cemetery
We see Omer and Elif. They are tending to the flowers on the graves, including her father’s.
Elif: Omer, what are you doing? Why are we here? He’s as much guilty as Tayyar Dundar for the things that happened to me. I don’t feel comfortable being here.
Omer takes her hand: Elif, I know you have regrets. And, yes, you’re right, but we came here to receive his blessings rather than to call him to account for what he did. We’re both orphans. I wish our fathers were still alive. We could do everything right. I wish I could come to your house with flowers and chocolate. Life has taken so much from us, but I can’t be sad. Life gave me you. Life literally made me learn what the word “miracle” meant. He smiles at her and takes her hand. (Omer speaks to Ahmet’s grave) I promise you this, sir, I’ll be your daughter’s perfect companion to my last breath. I’ll be her friend and confidant, and if necessary, I’ll sacrifice life so that she never sheds a tear. Elif is my life companion. Asli and Nilufer will become my sisters. Rest in Peace, Sir. I’ll protect them all.
Omer and Elif hug as they stand next to the grave. They walk out to the main road of the cemetery.

Episode 79 #10
Elif: Do you know that I’ve never loved someone so much and I’ve never been loved back so much.
Omer, kissing her forehead: My Elif.
Elif: We’re going home now, right?
Omer: Uh…
Elif: Omer! Look if you’re going to make a surprise party or something, I’m really tired and I need to shower and get rid of the smell on me.
Omer: A surprise party. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Look, I’ve been exhausted for the last two days. Let’s go and eat something. Feed ourselves, then I’ll drive you home, OK? Let’s go.
Elif: There must be some food at my house.
Omer: Come on, Elif. You don’t want to stay alone with me now, huh? Where’s the trust?
Elif: No, I didn’t mean it like that, Omer.
Omer: OK, I get it. I surrender. You’re right.
They get into his car.
At a building that looks like a school or some other municipal location that can be rented out for special occasions. It has a flag in front and blue metal gates around the complex.
Arda is helping decorate to welcome Elif.
Husseyn, Elvan, Demet, Melike are all working to make it festive.
In walk Asli, Nedret, and Nilufer.
Nedret: What is this, here? Have we come to a lower-class wedding? [They’re all snobs today, apparently.]
Later, we see Omer and Elif arrive, walking up the stairs. Elif is trying to make a call, but there’s no answer.
Elif: I said let’s go home in case Nilufer and Asli are worried, but I can’t reach them. They didn’t call me, either.
Omer: Maybe they’re busy.
Elif: Well, you’d think they’d care about their sister a bit, right?
Omer: I don’t know that much.
They come to the entrance with balloons and a sign welcoming Elif.
Elif: Omer.
Omer: Come here, my love. Let’s ask if there’s someone who takes you seriously inside.
They walk in together.
When they reach the big room full of tables, food, etc., Elif turns to Omer: Omer, what have you done?
Omer: You haven’t seen anything yet.
They reach the end of the room where their families are waiting. They are clapping.
Elif is very touched.
Nilufer: Elif, we missed you so much.
The three sisters hug.
Nedret: OK, OK, please leave my girl to me for a moment.
Elif, surprised to see her: Auntie, welcome. When did you arrive? How was your journey?
Nedret: Just a moment ago. I just arrived and these witches brought me here right after my trip.
Nedret hugs Elif and whispers: Is this Omer behind you?
Elif: Omer, my aunt.
Nedret: Hello, my dear, how are you?
Omer: I’m fine, how are you?
Nedret: I’m glad to be here.
Elif walks over to Elvan and hugs her.
Elvan kisses her: Welcome.
Nedret is watching all this carefully. [I wonder what she is thinking. If she is really a Bitter Aunt, as her nieces refer to her, it’s probably nothing good!]
