Papas #58 part 1

We open with Tino telling Aide he wants to begin again, starting from zero, building a strong, a loving, caring relationship.

Then we’re a few hours earlier. It looks like he’s just figured out Melina is crazy. He’s ending it and she’s not taking it to well. Aside from hitting him, she says he’ll never see Íker again. He’s not going to let another child of his be abused by their mother like Emi was. Melina says she’d never hurt him. He say’s Iker’s already afraid of her. She denies that. Tino has told her not to threaten him, Iker’s old enough to choose who he lives with. Plus he now as Tino’s name. She says he’s doing this because Aide broke up with Bill, which he did not know.

OK, make that Gavin go to your notes. There’s a list of the four relatives with the spelling of the paper paper chair the other room so I can hear this better.

Circe is telling Checo Uli suspects Melina is Cindy. checo says he needs proof. Uli is looking for proof on the laptop. They suspect Melina and Hernan are partners. Checo agrees with that and will help.

The doctor tells Gisela her husband can’t speak but should recover his speech. A nurse brings Hernan’s can and his other things to Gisela. She starts checking his phone.

Tino,tells Melina he didn’t know about Aide and Bill. He’s breaking up with her because they had chemistry but he doesn’t love her. She’s loved him since Íker was conceived. She slaps him hard.

At woman a the woman’s violence center testifies they with their help she was able to get herself and her kids far away from her abusive husband. Prisma is says she’s not ready to talk but she’s learning a lot listening to the others. Alas, a call from Nazario causes her to stand up. But she doesn’t answer and sits back down.

Martin is complimenting Clara Luz. She tells him they’re living downstairs from Prisma and Nazario. She hopes Natalie will get to spend the nights some. She says Prisma is mice. Martin calls Nazario by the wrong name and she corrects him. She says obviously she and Rudolf are not sleeping together. Then we see her thinking of Rudolf flying. out of his bed and go into Clara Luz’s bedroom. He says he has to get in the bed. Minutes later the twins come in wishing them good morning. They stretch and kiss. Nazario comes to the door of their apartment as they continue kissing. He mentions them still in pajamas and the kids say they just woke them up. Rudolf walks into work, saying he’d be interested if an opening appeared.

He tells Melina not to threaten him, he’s going to fight for custody of Íker. He’s going to have Uli move back home and he’s going to look for an apartment for him and Íker. She mentions working it out, he says adios.

Bill tells Lila Emi isn’t answering his calls and texts. He asks if she could go tell him he misses him. He immediately apologizes because he knows she doesn’t want to see her parents. He leaves and Checo comes over. Lila says she was waiting for her favorite customer.

Scarlet says she missed seeing Íker at school while he was away. He asks about Emi.Scarlet says since Bill and Aide broke up he’s worse. He’s sitting close by and gets a text from Lila. She wants to see him.

Nazario is mouthing off at Prisma when Aide comes in asking for Melina. He says she hasn’t come in but starts talking about marketing Cheno. Aide tells him to work on what he was doing for Urbano. She asks Prisma for some reports.

Papas # 58 part 2

Serena is walking Chachito to school. She asks about the event. He mentions the poster she made for his last event. Now he wants to honor her. He thinks back to Lichita giving a talk to his class on Maximax. Afterwards he tells her she’s the best. She says all moms are. He asks her to promise to always be with him. She says parenting is a forever job. Then he’s at dinner with his mom and Chofis talking about their family family. Cheno comes in. Someone sent Lichita flowers. Cheno says it wasn’t him. She says it’s someone from work but it was Facundo. Back to the present Serena says his mom had a big heart for all three of the kids. Chachito says he can be her second son and she’ll be his second mom.

Scarlet is telling Emi how she wouldn’t see her dad and now she’d give anything to see him. She remembers being delivered flowers and a teddy bear by her dad. She tells Emi she never thanked him. She thinks Emi should see Bill. Lila shows up and wants to talk to him alone.

Circe goes up to Checo. She’s been calling him. His phone is on silence. This is his office. Circe asks about Lila and he tells her she’s left. She thinks that’s strange.

Lila tells Emi it was Paulina that used him and Bill. She wanted Jason’s money. She says Bill really,loves him. Meanwhile Tino had walked up but she doesn’t speak to him.

Tino thanks Aide for letting Iker stay with her. He says Iker is afraid of his mom. Aide can’t imagine being afraid of the person that’s raising you. Tino wonders why Aide let Melina work at Maximax. Aide says she knows Lila’s secret.

Bill thanks Lila for talking to Emi. He apologizes because he never should have asked her to. She hopes she’ll stick around, not only because she’s a good worker, she’s a good person. She says he’s a good boss and a good person. They high five as he walks on. Circe doesn’t want to wait on Checo. She’s afraid she’ll say something wrong. Her feelings for him are getting stronger. She thinks maybe he comes in to be near her. Lila says maybe or maybe not.

Aide and Tino don’t know how Melina knows the secret. They’re worried that she’ll tell the other kids and it will be a disaster. Tino says Melina worked to separate them. Tino thinks they should reunite, we hear what he said at the beginning of the show. Aide says it’s better to remain separated. They shouldn’t get back together for the children. Gisela arrives. She tells Tino Hello Constantino. He goes to check on Iker.

Rudolf thinks he and Clara Luz should get back together. They don’t like faking a relationship it Clara Luz says if we don’t want to fake it why would we do it for real. She mentions them going out with other people. He wonders if she’s already met someone. No, she just thinks they should be on the same page.

Aide is glad to have Circe home, she thought she’d be at Tino’s longer. She admits to Circe and Gisela that she still loves him. They talk about Melina separating them, but Circe says that was the two of them that did it.

Tino and Íker are talking to Melina. Iker’s going to spent time with him. Melina says that’s fine, she would never come between them, especially since Iker now is officially Tino’s. Iker goes upstairs and Tino says they need to talk. She says she loves him and would never hurt him. After he goes upstairs she says she’ll hurt his family first.

Papas #58 part 3

It looks like Iker and Tino are with the band. Melina calls from work to see if he’s ok. Aide comes in and Melina tells her she’s and Tino are separated. Melina says they have a work relationship and she’s not interested in her personal life. Melina says she’s going to finish up with Serena and some other influencers and then she’ll be leaving. Serena was on the computer, a photo, in a skimpy swimsuit.

Prisma praises Natalia. Nazario wants her to help him with his work, she says she can’t. Natalia wants to see Pipe. She texts something about the group helping her and thanks Serena. The two leave. Prisma asks Rudolf if she can leave Natalia while she goes with Serena. He says sure.

Circe tells Aide t Tino’s last concert is sold out and some of them are going to Mexico City to the concert and a tribute to Lichita.

Prisma tells her story. Her alcoholic dad was abusive. Nazario seemed like her savior. But she ended up trading one jail for a worse one.

Gisela and Aurelio are talking at the hospital. She found nothing on his cell phone and the police aren’t doing anything. Aurelio thinks the police might find something on the phone. A nurse comes to tell Gisela that her husband is awake and wants to talk to her.

Surprise, at the end of the concert there’s a special guest singer, it’s Aide! After the song Rino and Aide kiss!

Hernan is saying “Iker”. Gisela asks if he wants to see him. She’ll call Melina. He says “no, urgente, Íker.”

MONTEVERDE #45, Part 1 of 3

Lucas reveals to Rosalia that he slept with Julieta. Once. “Mentirosa” she screams beating him with her fists. He holds her back as she tries to regain her composure. She accuses that it is possible Julieta’s child might be his. He vehemently denies it. She yells what about Franco? She starts to leave and he physically restrains her. You can’t tell Franco he pleads. He asks her to forgive him. He loves her. She yells at him again, telling him to leave. He “ugly faces” for a moment and leaves as she dissolves in tears, putting her hand to her eyes.

In church, a sad and reflective Carolina had mused on the conflicts of her mind and heart. Father Gabriel enters and Carolina tells him her sister is returning. She is heartbroken saying that she hates to leave. He encourages her to talk to Oscar and puts his hands comfortingly on hers. I love Oscar with all my heart. He urges her to tell him the truth. He tells her she is a good woman and blesses her as she thanks him.

Angelina who has gone on a sundae binge is short on her bill. Juan David and Hugo arrive in the nick of time but their eyes widen as they stare at what is owed. Juan David has to borrow money from Hugo. The server gives him a dirty look.

Lucia is at Diego’s. Belén looks adorable in a white dress topped off by a ruffled trimmed orange vest and her hair in two Princess Leila/Carrie Fisher braids.

Rosalia goes to Eva’s and in tears, tells her what happens. Eva says the baby could be Lucas’ but Rosalia says Lucas denies it. Franco will be so upset Eva says, he considers Lucas to be his brother. Eva offers her a hug.

Father Gabriel finds Gloria in the kitchen. He asks why she isn’t at Manuel’s. It’s impossible Gloria whines; he broke up with me! He thinks I’m too involved in my daughter’s life. Gloria stares when Angelina and Juan David come in. I went with Juan David to Zacatillo Angelina explains. Gloria sort of scolds her. Father Gabriel tells Juan David (in an aside) that Manuel broke up with Gloria.

Hugo asks Lucas if he told Franco. They start discussing it, Hugo encourages him as Lucas hems and haws. Hugo tells him he knows it won’t be easy when Franco all of a sudden Franco appears in the doorway, behind Lucas’ back. Taking a deep breath, he tells Franco that he and Julieta were intimate.

Belén and her sweet friends are having some dessert when Diego is asked if Lucia is his girlfriend. No, she is my amiga. Lucia says she has to go but Diego offers her a room.

Franco is wild eyed, and furious. He will not forgive him; he is a traitor. Hugo tries to interject but Franco will not hear it. Franco starts in on Hugo.

MONTEVERDE #45, Part 2 of 3

Nestor comes in and glares, seeing a distressed Rosalia. After she tells him, he is livid and also calls him a “maldito traidor” (the phrase of the night). Evea tries to calm him down. Rosalia goes over to (clearly uncomfortable) Nestor and hugs him.

A furious Franco confronts Julieta about Lucas. My baby is yours she yells defensively. He looks at her scathingly as she insists she is the mother of his child. Oscar comes in and asks what is going on.

Eva tries to calm Rosalia and puts her hand over Nestor’s. Rosalia ends up saying “gracias papa”.

With Moises peeking around the corner, Franco tells Oscar the baby could be Lucas’. She tells Franco it is his baby! Upset, she walks out as Oscar tries to calm him down. Julieta and her knapsack come out – she is leaving. Oscar tries to reason with his son, saying the baby is/could be his.

Gabriel talked Lucia into staying over at the hotel. He hands her the keys to a room as we hears the little girls squealing having fun. He finally leans down to kiss Lucia; it is sweet and romantic, the gentlest of kisses. Good night he says softly; good night she answers, smiling.

The women are playing cards and they comment to Carolina that she seems nervous.

Franco comes in and asks if Julieta is there and is told she isn’t.

Moises gives Oscar his opinion on Julieta and other matters; I only wish I understood it!☹

Juan David and Angelina try to sneak by Gloria who is lying on the couch. They open the door to leave but it squeaks. She immediately wakes up and they give her some story. Caught in the act of fleeing, they have to go back into the bedroom.

Julieta is at Manuel’s restaurant. Hugo tries to talk to her and she snaps at him. When Manuel comes out trying to be nice, she bites his head off too. She is not a good person Hugo says, briefly explaining.

MONTEVERDE #45, Part 3 of 3

Franco shows up at his house. Lucas wants to talk but Franco is not inclined. Lucas admitted he was an imbecile. He says they are brothers and asks him to forgive him. Franco says he doesn’t trust him. For him, Lucas doesn’t exist. Franco goes on a tirade leaving Lucas stricken.

Carolina has a nightmare. She is in jail behind bars, Oscar on the other side. He pummels her verbally, citing her lies and deceit and what she did to him, Moises and Andres. He vehemently tells her he will never forgive her. Nunca!

In “real” time and life, Oscar knocks on Carolina’s window. He tells her about Franco and mentions her decision while professing his love to her, the most marvelous woman. He puts his hand on her cheek and talks about the future and that they could be so happy. She admits she loves him. She leans forward to kiss him as Andres comes in. I had to laugh as they both looked so guilty and hastily said goodnight. Andres says he is nervous. You know I love you with all my heart his mother tells him reassuringly.

At breakfast, Oscar asks Franco how he is. He complains about Julieta and then finally decrees that the only thing important at this moment is Lucia. Oscar asks if there is a possibility the baby could be his. Oscar is lecturing him when adorable Moises runs in and Franco’s entire mood changes. Cárcamo brings in a plate of pastries and asks Franco how he is. It’s a long story is the response.

Julieta storms into Lucas, ripping into him. It is not your child she screams. Franco is the father; there is only a miniscule possibility you are the father. She looks at him scathingly and flies out on her broom.

Lucia shows up the next morning as all the women give her grief. She assures them she stayed at the hotel alone.

Father Gabriel shows up at Manuel’s confronting him about breaking up with Gloria.

Diego and Belén bid goodbye to one of her friends and her mother. He kneels down bringing himself to her eye level and holds her hand (so sweet). Where is Lucia she asks? Back in Monteverde. It is clear she likes Lucia.

Father Gabriel, Hugo and Manuel arrive back as Gloria seems to be packing up Father Gabriel’s treasures (?) During the bickering, Manuel demands the ring back. Gloria once again pretends she can’t get it off. Just then Hugo sprints over with something wet to try to get it off. She pushes him away as we see the ring still safely adorning Gloria’s hand. Next, she chases them out with a broom! Afterward, she smiles, admiring the ring.

Lucia arrives at Nestor’s to talk to Rosalia. Are you all right she asks her friend? No a very downcast Lucia replies. What happened? Franco admitted he might be the father of Julieta’s baby! Lucia is impactada!

Friendships crumble and relationships shatter as the possibility that Lucas might be the father of Julieta’s baby is finally revealed. But the distinct likelihood that there might be one (or more) other candidate(s) remain(s) hidden.

A reluctant Nestor is being drawn into fatherhood as Rosalia clearly seeks his comfort and support.

Looking forward to Juan David’s next show! A little levity would be most welcome.

Liz, what a fantastic recap. You explained all the highs and the many lows so very well. Thank you!

The ferocity with which Melina attacked Tino was shocking. The mask dropped and she was revealed as the vicious, clearly unhinged beast she is. Vowing to go after Tino's family wasn't unexpected but we can only hope Tino warns them and that they are vigiliant. I'm very worried about Uli and Emi's safety in particular.

"Aide and Tino don’t know how Melina knows the secret". We certainly want to, don't we??

Prisma is in grave physical danger. Nazario is a demon.

Lila is certainly sending clear signals to Bill. I hope he's enough of a human being not to get involved with her.

I was surprised that Gisela wasn't able to find anything on Hernan's phone and that Uli hasn't been able to reveal Melina's treachery.

I loathe that Clara Luz isn't being honest with Rudolf. Is it just me or does anyone else think Martin is totally unappealing?

Watching Aide perform was fun. She and Tino are already finding their way back to each other.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Thank you, Diana!

Lucas insists to Rosalía that nobody cheated on anyone. He didn't tell Rosalía about it because he wanted to avoid a scene just like they are having. Julieta had just gotten to Monteverde. He and Rosalía were not together yet. He felt like Rosalía didn't want to make a commitment and he wanted a more stable relationship. What is more, Julieta told him that the baby couldn't be his because she said that she had gotten her period. Rosalía laughs out loud and in his face (might I add!). She cannot believe that Lucas is so naive. He cannot see Julieta having any reason to lie to him. Rosalía asks who does he think Julieta would choose to be the father of her child after sleeping with him and Franco. Obviously it would be Franco. She starts to leave and he grabs her to continue talking. She tells him not to touch her. She is going to talk to Franco. If he doesn't have the . . . . guts to tell him, she will. He grabs her again and tells her that she can't tell Franco because it isn't hers to tell. It is his and he will do it. Rosalía asks how can she believe him. He says because he doesn't want to go on like this. He admits he lied to her and feels bad for having done it. He will tell him. He tells her to trust him. She says she doesn't know him anymore. He is not the man she fell in love with. She thought he was loyal but he isn't. He asks her to forgive him. She is done listening to him. It's over. He begs her not to break up with him. She days its's done. He is a liar, a coward, an egotist. She never wants to see him again in her life. She tells him to go. When he hesitates, she tells him to get out! She sobs.

The good father tells Carolina that he is sorry that things have ended like this. He hasn't seen Oscar so happy in a long time and her eyes sparkle when she with him. It is a shame they cannot be together. She loves Oscar with her whole being but she cannot be Carolina Robles because of the arrest warrant. He offers to be with her when she talks to Oscar. She declines the offer.

Angelina is almost put on kitchen duty to pay her bill before Juan David and Hugo come back.

Eva advises Rosalía to give Lucas a few days to tell Franco. If he doesn't tell him by then, she should go ahead and tell him.

Gloria is upset because Angelina and Juan David have let her alone all day long! When Juan David and Angelina come home, Gloria makes it clear would have wanted to have gone to Zacatillo along with them.

Lucía agrees to stay at the hotel rather than driving on the highway at night.

Franco is upset because Lucas didn't tell him. He is also angry that Hugo didn't tell him. Hugo says it is between Franco and Lucas. He has nothing to do with it. That doesn't do it for Franco. He thinks they both betrayed him so he tells them both to go to hell as he leaves.

"maldito traidor" damn traitor
Néstor basically tells Rosalía that "he told her so" about Lucas. He also thinks Lucas had a lot of nerve criticizing him for what happened with Oscar when he did the same thing!!! Eva stops him from going and dealing with Lucas. What to do?? Eva urges him to hug his daughter.

Franco thinks that Julieta is trying to pull one over on him and that the baby is Lucas'. She says didn't mention having sex with Lucas because it wasn't important. Franco wants a DNA test which angers her even more. He adds that for all he knows, the baby could be anyone's not just Lucas' since she was out of town for a while. She is offended!
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Néstor tries to make his daughter feel better about Lucas by telling her everyone make mistakes some times. She adits she should have paid attention to what he had told her about Lucas. Eva says that nobody listens when it comes to love. As she grabs Néstor's hand , she adds that the heart wants what the heart wants. It doesn't follow reason. Néstor doesn't think what Rosalía and Lucas had can hardly called love as he frees his hand from Eva. He adds that Lucas doesn't deserve her tears. Eva tells him to let Rosalía cry it all out. Néstor agrees but tells her to make sure this is the end of Lucas. Rosalía thanks her father.

As soon as she can travel, Julieta says she will be going back to Peru and they will never hear from her again. Franco refuses to be blackmailed and tells her to go. Oscar reminds him that no matter what, the baby she is expecting could be his.

Franco tells the women to tell Lucía to contact him when she is back. He ahs something important to talk to her about.

Moisés reminds his father he told him that Julieta wasn't a good person. He saw her arguing with Franco. Furthermore, her cooking is horrible. Oscar tells Moisés that he has no business spying on conversations that have nothing to do with him. Moisés insists it does have something to do with him because he lives there. he is glad Julieta is gone. He also has noticed his father is on the outs with the nun. He can tell because of how strange he is acting with her. He used to greet her with a great big smile but he isn't doing that anymore. Oscar says nothing has changed but Moisés refuses to agree. The nun was crying today when she came to use the phone. He thinks she doesn't want to be a nun anymore. Moisés thinks his father should ask her to stop being a nun and propose to her. He would really like her to be his mother. As Oscar tries to put him to bed, Moisés insists on an answer from his father until the lights are out.

Juan David and Angelina wake up Gloria as they try to sneak out to . . . Manuels' to get some . . . tuna croquettes. Gloria says no need, she can make them!! She finds all of the ingredients. Angelina decides her craving has passed and now all she wants to do is sleep!

Angelina blames the squeaky door for waking up her mother. Juan David says that tomorrow he will grease the hinges on the door so they can sneak out easier. What to do about their situation? Maybe pray so Gloria gets back with Manuel and off their backs??

Hugo tells Julieta that if she and Lucas had been honest with Franco from the start they would not be in the mess they find themselves now. She tells him to mind his own business. Manuel is surprised to see her back but she isn't talking to him about anything either.

Franco tells Lucas he only came by to pick up a few things and will clear out the rest of his things tomorrow.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

Oscar tells Franco that thy can do a DNA test before the baby is born. They just have to talk Julieta into doing it.Oscar will find out where it can be done. (Big baby) Franco doesn't want to have to deal with her. (sorry, buddy! Maybe he should have thought twice about having unprotected sex with her to begin with) Oscar says he has to know who the father is before she leaves for Peru.

Julieta is angry with Lucas because he told Franco that the baby could also be his. He is at peace because he was honest with his best friend. She makes it clear to Lucas that the baby is Franco's. She would NEVER have a baby with HIM!

Manuel explains to the good father that no matter what he does, Gloria finds any old excuse to get away from him. He loved her a lot but he has his dignity. The good father supports him. He tells the good father that now that the wedding is off, he wants his engagement ring back and she won't give it to him. It was his grandmother's! How to get it back?? She won't let it go for anything!! Lucas thinks it will have to be by force. How? Three heads are better than one!

Diego tells Belén that Lucía will be back in two or three days.

Gloria is clearing up the clutter so the priest's house is more to her liking.

Thank you for explaining "Gloria is clearing up the clutter so the priest's house is more to her liking". What nerve!!! She is a piece of work.

Out of the mouths of babes: "The nun was crying today...He thinks she doesn't want to be a nun anymore. Moisés thinks his father should ask her to stop being a nun and propose to her. He would really like her to be his mother". Finally some straight and loving talk.

Is Carolina going to prolong the agony and STILL not tell Oscar the truth? I fear the answer is yes...

Thanks, Diana. I want to know the secret! How how Melina found out. Since she told Tino she loves him I don’t think he’ll know to warn his family. He’s realizing a little about Melina but I don’t think he has any idea of even a fraction of what she’s done. She owns his half of Maximax, she’s hurt Uli, helped Paulina, and risked her own son so Aide would be blamed for the macadamia incident.

It was great when Aide came on the screen. Hoping they’ll be back together to fight all the bad guys.

Martin called Nazario by the wrong name and Clara Luz corrected him. But I thought he knew what Nazario had done to Gibron’s dad. So he would know who Clara Luz was talking about. I found that strange.

Not much time for comments, but it feels like impending doom for Domenica. Folks are lining up against her. When the ring shows up, LuisFe will probably join her enemies. I worry that Pedro’s pent-up fury will hurt good guys. I like the character; I hope he won’t end up evil.
It’s a great story and well done!

Gloria seems to be using up her good will. Manuel is getting annoyed with her rude treatment. She is hateful. I enjoyed watching her with Manuel earlier. I thought she would come around, but now I’m not so sure.

Oscar will be very upset. I fear Carolina waited too long. Moises and Andres might be able to fix it.

I agree that Franco is less and less likable. I like Diego very much and love his daughter (Belen?) from other TNs!

Still dislike la peruana. Why doesn’t she go home? But, the kid deserves a father.

Watching the detective and Trinidad is fun!

Who knew Juan David could perform so well!! Wait til Gloria shows up on Ladies’ night!

This show moves in different directions! Now that Carlos is back, Oscar will soon know the truth.

Melina has snapped . I was shocked at how her sweet as sugar seductiveness so quick!y changed to physically attacking him . yikes !!!We have had so many PSAsabout violence at the end of these episodes,. Now we see that women can also be abusive of their mates,.
Will we ever find out why Lila ran away? What did Aide and Tino do? Did we ever see it in Season one ? Is Lila correct about her parents doing something terrib!e that made her leave ?

Papas #59. Part 1

After the show Aide and Tino are kissing. She has to go home. He thinks about h ow life can get better but there’s marks you can’t erase Then we see the show again.

As Hernan shouts for Iker Gisela wonders what the hurry is. She tells him to calm down. She’ll tell Iker where he is, but first she wants him to tell where her money is. As he shouts for Iker his machine goes off. A nurse runs in and tells Gisela she has to leave.

Melina is talking to Urbano. She’s ready to leave Maximax. Urbano tells her to clean the money and don’t leave any trace of herself. She wants this to affect Aide, she’ll need Nazario’s help.

Crazy Nazario comes to get atalia and Prisma. Prisma isn’t there. Natalia says she doesn’t know where she is, he yells use your head as she runs to Clara Luz. He sits down to wait, saying she won’t be gone much longer. Meanwhile the meeting is over and Prisma asks Serena not to leave her alone. This is harder than she thought, but neither she nor. Atalia are going to put up with Nazario’s abuse anymore

Aide tells Tino they need to talk first. She says they don’t always agree on things about the kids. He says but they’re better together than separated. Tino once again says they’ll start from zero and reinvent themselves as a couple. She agrees but wonders how the kids will react. Tino’s had enough talking.

Checo is telling Circe, Uli, and Chofis that having his office in the cafeteria, he has gotten to know Lila, she’s intelligent and Mature. Uli says and they’ve gotten their sister back. They bring up Uli,s suspicions of Melina. But how to find the proof on the computer.

The doctor tells Fisela she’s agitating her husband. She says she only wants to talk with him. He says Hernan’s throat is inflamed and it shouldn’t be talking. She wonders if he’ll ever talk and the doctor says we’ll see when the inflammation goes away. Aurelio comes over. She tells him Hernan wants to see Iker without Melina knowing. She wants her money, she’s sure he still has her savings. Aurelio isn’t so sure she’ll get it and also wonders why he doesn’t want Melina to know he wants to see Iker.

Checo, Circe, Uli and Chofis are discussing how they can look at Melina’s computer. They decide to learn her schedule and try to get on it at Maximax. When Chofis and Checo leave the siblings talk. Uli knows she likes Checo, she’s intelligent needs to tell him. Circe is afraid he doesn’t feel the same as she.

Melina sees a video of the kiss on the stage. She texts Iker wondering why he hasn’t come to see her, she’s knows his priority is his dad. She texts him again saying since she she and Tino are separated he needs to come see her so they can plan how to get them back together so he’ll have both his parents. He texts back he’s doing some things with his papa tomorrow. She texts back how nice, but then says he’s useless.

Tino will be in a hotel, not with Melina. If Iker wants to stay with him that’s fine. Aide says Melina is saying it’s a temporary separation. Tino says he was very clear to her that they’re finished. Aide thinks she’ll use Iker to get him back. Tino worries she’ll hurt Iker.

Papas #59 part 2

Nazario jumps to answer the door when Prisma gets there. She tells him she and Serena were working. He tells her Melina told her not to work on that. He takes Natalia and her to their apartment. Prisma sends Natalia to her room but she wants to stay with Prisma. Prisma tells her adults take care of the children, children don’t take care of the adults. Prisma stands up to Nazario tu as she walks away he started to follow. But he gets a text from Melina. She needs to see him in the office tomorrow and she needs him to get Prisma to work from home.

Melina tells the family she and Tino are reconciling. Not much of a reaction. Scarlet asks if Tino’s moving back in and Aide says not right away. Uli says they did this before. Aide says it will be different, they’re going to be calmer. They ask about Iker. Tino will tell him the news. Gisela was surprisingly quiet.

Tino and Íker tell Melina Iker will be with him. She says no, this a decision they all make. Tino says Iker decided. Melina accuses him of robing her of her son. She says he’s a manipulator. Tino collapses.

Clara Luz tells Martin she’s going with friends, including Rudolf to the concert tomorrow as they’ll be a tribute to Lichita since Tino couldn’t go to it. Martin thinks that would be a great time to tell everyone they’re going out. She disagrees, saying it’s too soon and she doesn’t want to hurt Rudolf. Martin doesn’t think they have a future together, he says she’s still in love with Rudolf.

Cheno is in gym shorts recording himself. Serena comes up to him and he says she’s blocking his video and he’ll lose followers. She says they have the tribute for Lichita that Tino’s doing.

Clara Luz tells Martin he’s right, she does still love Rudolf. She apologizes for leading him on, she wasn’t sure of her feelings for a while. Martin is fine with it, no one ever died of a broken heart. She asks if she’ll lose her job. He says no, he was needing to take a trip and now would be a good time. He hopes they’ll be best friends and wishes her success.

Tino comes to in the hospital. Melina tells him he fainted. The doctor says it may be low blood sugar but they need to do other tests. He says he as important event that night. Melina says she can let them know or tell Aide. A nurse comes to take Tino. Íker has his phone to let his siblings know. Melina says no, she’ll decide when they should be told. She takes his phone. She’s going to send him home in a cab, but he wants to stay with his dad.

Domenica. 25

I'm still having trouble with names! There are a lot of characters in this show. I nearly quit watching as to begin with Domenica got on my nerves whining about Max and hating all men. Now she loves LuisFe and he doesn't trust her so now he annoys me. They find the bag of herbicide and touch the bottles and don't look for fingerprints!

Pilar is also annoying me! Sticking up for kiara, and Mercedes always bashing Domenica! A bunch of characters I really dislike! Genero is horrible and I can't believe she hasn't fired him

I laugh at the black and white Stetsons Genero and LuisFe wear, as though we needed the reminder of good and evil.

Rositas friend, Lalo. Whose child is he? Cosme's? Gabriel? (Discovered he's Gabriel's)
Domenica gets arrested and Genero pulls his gun to "help" her. I wish the police had shot him!

Luis and San Genis rush off to see Dom and I notice the fields of beans they pass are fine. So Genero didn't poison all of them.

Seems like Luis Fe should practice medicine and make some real money!

Who is the guy that accosted Kiera and grabbed her? That wasn't Max, was it?

Ok, I'm confused with the final scene. What happened to Domenica's money? Did her assets get frozen because she was arrested?






 

Papas #59 part 3

Uli enters Maximax and asks for Melina. Nazario says she’s not here. Uli leaves and Nazario is wondering where she is.

Aurelio is wondering how Gisela will get Íker to go with them without letting Melina know. He thinks she needs a plan. She says she’ll say what comes into her head. But no one is home.

Circe brings a couple a coke regular and a Coke Zero. She passes Lila talking with Checo. At the counter Circe says you’re talking and laughing are you in love? Lila says yes then no. What do you want me to be, I’m happy. Circe mentions fear and gets a funny fearful face, Uli tells Chofis he couldn’t get Melina’s phone, she wasn’t at work. Circe asks Checo if he’s still planning to go to Canada. He’s not sure, plans are changing. She asks if it’s something or someone special. He asks her to give him 5 minutes, he has to send this email.

Lara Luz wants to tell Rudolf something important. He’s taking a screenshot of his computer with his phone. Then he says ok what is it, an illness, something else. She starts again but he gets a text that is making him laugh. She asks him if he wants a glass of something, listerine? Something crazy and he says yes, thanks.

Melina is keeping Iker’s phone. She doesn’t want him calling the others. He’ll be staying with her while Tino recuperates. He goes to get water and runs into Gisela and Aurelio. She asks why he’s here, he says his dad wasn’t feeling well. Can he borrow her phone to call someone. She tells him Hernan wants to see him alone. He’s surprised, Gisela tells him to trust her.

Rudolf gets another text but sees Clara Luz’s face and puts his phone down. She wonders what’s going on. He’s doing what she suggested. He joined a dating app. Prisma comes in with the kids Natalia wants to stay, Prisma says ok, she needs to do something before Nazario gets home. But when she gets to the apartment Nazario is there. He doesn’t believe she was with Serena, he accuses her of lying. He’s yelling and angry.

Uli is telling Chofis he wants to find out about Melina’s life before the accident. She wonders how he’ll do that. He can’t go door to door.

Circe asks Checo if he needs anything. He needs a napkin. She asks if he needs a normal one or one he can write a phone number on. He says normal. She goes to get it. Lila walks up to him a d whispers in his ear. He laughs. Circe thinks he’s been coming to the cafeteria for Lila, not for her.

Melina is looking for Iker and asks a nurse if she’s seen him. She shows a picture of him. The nurse suggests she go down to the receptionist. Melina pulls Iker’s phone from her purse and realizes she was stupidly to take it as she can’t use her phone to find him.

Gisela goes into Hernan’s room but she wants her money. He says Iker, she puts it in her phone. Not sure if that’s a password or what. Actually it might be his phone. She brings Iker in and tells him what happened. She leaves them alone. Hernan tells him he has to tell him a secret that no one can no. He has to tell him before it’s too late.

Prisma is telling Nazario the way he treats her is not normal and she’s not going to let him hurt her anymore. He grabs her hair, throws her down and starts kicking her.

The doctor comes in to talk to Tino. They need more tests to confirm it but he’s pretty sure Tino has leukemia.

MONTEVERDE #46, Part 1 of 3

“Are you all right” Lucia asks Rosalia. “No” is the grim answer as Rosalia explains. Lucia tells her she is her good friend and I think she urges her to forgive Lucas. “Maldito” was bandied about throughout tonight along with copious tears.

Father Gabriel is incensed that Gloria seems to be settling into his house lock, stock and barrel.

Nestor confronts Lucas; Lucas didn’t cower a bit and was unrepentant. A contemptuous Lucas reminds Nestor what he did to his good friend Oscar by stealing his wife.

Oscar and Moises meet up with Carolina and Andres.

Hugo tells Angelina and Juan David there is a problem. He steals Juan David away mentioning that something needs to be done about Gloria who simply will not return Manuel’s family heirloom ring.

Lucia meets up with Franco; she tells him Rosalia is very upset. She noted how Julieta has caused so many problems. Lucia tells him she loves him but the circumstances really haven’t changed. “Te amo” he says as she walks away.

The men have a plan. After they explain, Manuel, Hugo and the Father give Juan David a bottle with an eyedropper saying to put a few drops in Gloria’s water. Juan David asks the men if they are crazy! But, desperate times call for desperate measures and he doesn’t refuse.

Sister Celeste calls Carolina and says she talked to the Mother Superior, something about Nairobi. Carolina says the school is opening…

Rosalia walks into Julieta’s room. “Mentirosa” she notes gritting her teeth. Julieta tells her to get out and Rosalia fires back spitting out she is a manipulator and has no scruples. All of a sudden, Julieta yells out in pain and doubles over. Rosalia scathingly chastises her for acting. After she leaves, we see Julieta isn’t faking. This time.

Oscar talks with Carolina but the dialogue was lost to me.

Padilla is sitting in Manuel’s restaurant as Juanita tells Hugo he is asking for a huge sum to keep Carolina’s secret.

Carolina talks with Father Gabriel, something is said about Sister Celeste being an imposter.

MONTEVERDE #46, Part 2 of 3

The Father, Juan David, Gloria and Angelina are having dinner. Sure enough, Juan David brings out the vial and puts a few drops in Gloria’s drink. Lucas comes by to talk to his tio. He grimly tells him he is leaving Monteverde – he lost his novia and his best friend. The good padre reluctantly blesses him. Lucas hugs him and we can see he is very upset.

Julieta is sitting up in bed doing a crossword puzzle when Franco comes in. They do their usual verbal sparring. He isn’t sure the baby is his, mentioning Lucas. She gets increasingly agitated and tells him to get out and leave her alone. After he leaves, it is clear she is having pain.

The good padre and Juan David whisper; it seems Gloria is firmly in la la land!

Carolina muses and vents her frustration about being in love with Oscar Leon to Juanita. She later lies in bed as Oscar’s words of love come back to haunt her as she cries, knowing she needs to leave.

Across town, Juan David appears, flashlight in hand as Gloria lies on the couch. He gently but firmly pulls her engagement ring off, then covers her with a blanket. He leaves with the prize.

As Cárcamo serves juice, Oscar whistles happily and of course Moises comments. Oscar smiles and is in high spirits. Franco joins his family. Moises starts to pipe up with Oscar being happy about the nun but Oscar cuts him off. Then Moises, the little angel, starts whistling. His father looks charmed; I know I am! Franco tells his father his talk with Julieta did not go well. Oscar again says that the baby could be his.

Juan David returns to Manuel’s looking downcast. Manuel and Hugo look upset but then Juan David holds up his hand showing the ring. The mission was a success and Manuel is ecstatic!

Later, washing the dishes, Gloria realizes her ring is missing. She immediately checks the sink then begins tearing the couch apart as Father Gabriel arrives. She pretends to be cleaning. He leaves with a smile on his face as she worriedly shakes out the pillows.

Nestor returns home to Eva who kisses him. He looks downcast (even more than usual if that’s possible 😊). By Eva’s tearful reaction and words about Franco, I think he says things aren’t working out for him there and wants to move.

Father Gabriel taps on the window and takes Carolina’s suitcase. Andres kisses his mother and Juanita tells her she will miss her. The trio hug.

MONTEVERDE #46, Part 3 of 3

Lucas goes to the clinic; Rosalia is not happy to see him. She curses him but then he tells her he is leaving. She calls him a “victim” and says he is evading his responsibility. He insists the baby isn’t his. He asks for a hug goodbye which she does. He takes his hat and leaves.

Nestor comes home with groceries. Eva is conflicted about leaving.

Hugo visits Lucas. Whose suitcase is that Hugo asks. It’s mine he says. Hugo thinks he is acting drastically. Lucas lists all he’s done and those he’s hurt. Hugo hugs him and Lucas thanks his hermano.

Franco asks Rosalia how she is. Mal she answers, Lucas is leaving Monteverde. Franco looks upset as Hugo arrives. Rosalia leaves them alone. Hugo tries to explain why he kept quiet. Franco accuses him of treachery but Hugo explains himself and Franco softens. The men shake hands.

“Don Manuel” Lucas calls out as he enters the restaurant. He starts writing a note when he hears Julieta crying out. He runs in and sees her in obvious pain, holding her stomach. He swoops her up and lays her on the couch.

The dedication of the school is underway. Everyone who is anyone is in attendance, sitting outside as the ceremony begins. Moises is ensconced in the first row, front and center. Father Gabriel and Carolina walk over to Oscar. Father Gabriel gives a speech thanking Oscar for all he has done as the audience enthusiastically claps. He thanks Mother Celeste, whose support made this possible. Carolina and Oscar stare at each other and as the Father keeps talking, Carolina rushes over to the microphone. She says how important everyone has been to her. We then see a man in boots and leather walk up in the background as cries of “hermana Celeste” fill the air. Andres and then Moises run off and the camera brings the interloper into focus. It is Carlos.

Due to the very challenging dialogue, I had to guess where I could and leave out where I was lost.

Hopefully, Julieta’s baby will be all right. Will Lucas actually leave town?? Will Carolina be able to convince Carlos she is Celeste or is the jig up?? So many questions hanging in the air….

I really enjoy watching this novela and reading comments.
Tía Pilar is the worst character here. Kiara is a psycho.
Padrino, Pedro and Nicolasa are my favorites.
Merceditas is a terrible mother and terrible person generally.
I like Lufe as a Galán. He is a very strong person, but sensitive.
Can't wait the scene when everything gets resolved and open mouth of Pilar and Merceditas.

Domenica episodios 25-26 part one

I’m going to blend episode 25-26 together. Events may not all be listed in order.

We start episode 25 with the cops finding the empty bottles of chemicals (that killed Luis’s bean crop) on Domenica’s land. Luis does not immediately assume Domenica is guilty, but he does say to her, “Swear to me you had nothing to do with this!”

She feels everyone is blaming her. Godfather, Tia, and Nana talk about what to do - Godfather thinks that the truth will win out, and they should cooperate and wait.

This doesn’t work well, because even though Luis refuses to blame Domenica and gives her the benefit of the doubt, Mercedes, full of venom directed at Domenica, decides to file a complaint (or press charges). She never got around to selling her part of the hacienda to San Genis (Lawyer friend) so she has the legal right - she’s still an owner. Her complaint lands Domenica in the slammer in handcuffs. Genaro makes a big stink and pulls out his pistol (which he never had any intention of using). It’s all virtue signaling to make him appear loyal.

Luis and San Genis are very worried about money, because even though the bean crop is deceased, the providers of the supplies they bought to work the crop still expect to be paid, and Luis contracted workers to work - what will happen to them?

In between these different storylines, little Lalo, the youngest son of Gabriel, promises Rosita that he’ll get his dad to help Luis with the crop - because his dad “has a lot of money.” Of course, Gabriel disabuses Lalo of this idea quickly, but Lalo is smarter and more astute than his dad assumes, and has some idea of what type of person his dad is.

When Luis and San Genis hear from Mercedes about what she did, they are both gobsmacked. Mercedes admits that even if she sacrifices the future of the hacienda to stick it to Domenica, it’ll be worth it to get that “tipa” out of her son’s life. Luis is furious. He yells at his mom that his feelings for Domenica aren’t going to change.

Kiara strings a lusty Gabriel along, promising him more than besos, in return for him talking smack about Domenica in town and turning everyone against her. He notes her hatred for Domenica, which she freely admits to - “she took everything from me that I cared about.”

When Nana finds out that Mercedes was behind her niña being arrested, she rushes over to see Prudencio at Luis’s hacienda. She then immediately busts in on Mercedes, with Prudencio in tow, and reads her the riot act, while Prudencio ineffectually tries to shut her up.

Nana informs Luis that Domenica hasn’t only had a complaint filed against her by his mom, but she was also dragged out in front of everyone in handcuffs! Luis is really riled against his mom now, and rushes off to see Domenica.
 

Domenica episodios 25-26 part 2

There’s a somewhat awkward scene between our senior love triangle (Prudencio, Mercedes, and Nana). Nana blames Mercedes for the life Pedro had, because Prudencio hid things to protect Mercedes. She also points out Mercedes’ hypocrisy - she’s all proper and fancy, but look at what she did!

Mercedes makes some snide remark about Nana just being a servant, and also makes it clear that Prudencio is nothing to her (I thought that both these comments were super cruel). Also, regarding Nana’s devotion to Domenica, Mercedes says that Domenica cares nothing for Nana (again, where is this nastiness coming from?). When Nana describes her relationship with Prudencio as “pure” and “forever,” Prudencio looks at her with . . . I’m not sure . . . gratitude? affection? In any case, Mercedes is being super fea in this scene, but at the end of the day I think she will be redeemable. (Just my feeling.) Poor Prudencio just looks miserable and embarrassed by everything.

While Luis and San Genis are trying to sort things out with Domenica in jail, Pedro is very outraged on Domenica’s behalf. In essence, Pedro feels let down by everyone except Domenica, and I’m not completely sure of all the reasons, but partly he’s on her side because she was very fair with him when he was a nobody. He’s Domenica’s Number One fan.

Various loved ones visit Domenica in the slammer, but Tia and Kiara are never get around to able to see her.

Genaro offers to take the fall for Domenica so she can get out of jail (of course she refuses) but he does it for show, to (again) make himself look super loyal and selfless. He later tells Cosme (presidente municipal) that he needs to look like a hero to Domenica, to overshadow Luis (el doctorcito).

Nana and Godather commiserate about Domenica’s situation but are sure that there is no one to speak against her.

We end episode 25 with two cliffhangers - that crooked socio that tried to take advantage of Domenica many episodes before, this time convinces a judge that something hinky is going on, and all her accounts are frozen. Domenica learns this in jail. Meanwhile, a black-hoodied Max Langer is in town and takes Kiara by surprise.

We start episode 26 with more details about the crooked socio and Domenica’s frozen assets. She still has her personal accounts and the hacienda - they can’t touch that - but all her factories and businesses have everything frozen. She’s worried about all the employees and how they’re going to be paid. She’ll immediately sell her mansion in Puebla, but there was some concern about that too (I couldn’t follow it all). Godfather says his son Cute Lawyer is going to take legal steps to combat all the problems, but it’s tricky and will take time.

Max is incognito in town and still has some money. He offers Kiara a million pesos (about $30-something thousand US dollars) if she helps him get Domenica to forgive him. Max also promises to pay Kiara more when he successfully marries Domenica and has access to her money. Kiara takes the money (some sort of Venmo-type instant transfer), then tells Max good luck! Domenica is in love with someone else! Max doesn’t want to believe that Domenica could get over him so soon! (Max still claims to be in love with Domenica.)

Cosme asks Domenica to see him in his office - he has an “abajo del agua” offer for her. What he’s offering is some sort of private, unofficial, under the table deal - something like that. He wants Luis and Domenica to settle things privately - the charges be dropped (I assume) if she pays damages for the ruined crop. Godfather and Domenica refuse - she didn’t poison his crop, paying him is admitting guilt and she’s innocent! Luis isn’t in favor of the deal either, but later on, Mercedes officially accepts it, thinking that if they get paid back, great! But Domenica isn’t paying, even if she had the money, which she doesn’t.
 

Domenica episodes 25-26 part 3 of 3

Pedro has a private talk with Mercedes, whom he stiffly calls “señora,” and demands that she drop charges against Domenica if she (Mercedes) has any heart left in her.

When Mercedes finds out about Domenica’s frozen assets are due to a complaint from an ex socio, she thinks it’s sufficient proof that Domenica is bad - even her socios turned against her!

Mysteriously, Domenica is sprung from jail - the private “abajo del agua” deal was completed! But who paid? Luis didn’t have the money, neither did Godfather.

When Domenica and Kiara go to the community center, so Domenica can wash the jail smell off her, Max is lurking in the shadows in his black hoody and takes her by surprise. She unleashes her sadness and rage at him, while he spins her an excuse for everything - it appears he is claiming that some crime group was shaking him down for money (protection money?) and they got greedy when they found out Max was marrying someone rich. Max claimed that the syndicate threatened Domenica’s life, which is why he left her that note when he left her at the altar - it was all a ruse to try to convince the mob that Max didn’t really care about her, so they’d leave her alone. He did it all to protect her, see? And now that all of the mob has been caught, he’s free to come back and straighten things out! Domenica doesn’t believe any of it. But - one other thing! It was Max who paid the fee for the “abajo del agua” deal, on her behalf, which is why she’s out of jail. But it looks kind of bad, because it implies she’s admitting guilt.

In the midst of all this, we have a scene with Kiara’s friend Silvi, who has successfully found the jewelers who sold Max the incriminating wedding ring. Silvi offers the guy a bunch of pesos to stay silent, but her offer is too low. He’ll take the rest of his bribe out in sexual favors, which Silvi has no problem with - the actor who plays the crooked jeweler is the guapo Marcelo Córdoba.

Cosme’s wife is also crafty and savvy and connects the dots about the true border between Domenica’s and Luis’s haciendas.

San Genis (Lawyer Friend) has some cute kind of flirty exchange with Blanca, Cosme’s secretary, where she mentions that she is a caregiver for her ill mother.

After hearing Max’s fanciful excuses, Domenica walks off. Later, when Padrino discovers Max in their midst, he rushes up and punches him. Well-deserved, but Godfather is urged to go off and put some ice on his hand while Domenica talks with Max. She cries as she tells him how utterly betrayed she felt after he left her at the altar, what a fool he made of her, how humiliated she was. As she weeps, Max gives her a comforting hug, and of course it is at this precise moment that Luis Fernando walks in and indignantly asks what’s going on.

End of episode 26!

I can hardly wait for everyone to find out what a snake Kiara is. I’m dying to know what the fallout will be when they connect the wedding ring to Domenica and Max. It should be interesting!

I like Luis’s character a lot. He’s a regular guy, not some powerful millionaire.

Tia is getting on my nerves, but I think she’ll ultimately be okay. I even think Mercedes will be redeemed - her affection for Pedro is real. She’s been so manipulated by Kiara, and is very hard-headed. She’s not a narcissistic manipulator like Kiara.

At first, I wondered if Melina gave something to Tino that made him sick . Also he took off his shirt and was looking in the mirror ,and I thought that he was looking at the bruises he received when he and Bill fought. I hope Iker uses his head and gets in touch with Aide .
The actor playing Cheno has shown off his muscles in other shows .
What does Hernan have to tell Iker ? Maybe Melina is not his mother , or he wants to tell him what she has been scheming.
Naz is going berserk . He is out of control and dangerous .That scene at the end of him kicking Prisma was awful. Susan

First , let me say that seeing one of my first telenovios Marcelo Cordoba was a surprise . Unfortunately , I like to see him play good guys , but in this show , he is a sleazy silver fox. He also plays a villain in Monteverde.
Another surprise was Max suddenly showing up . That was quite a tale he spun.
Blanca has appeared in many shows .

Rosalía tells Lucía about Franco and Julieta. As Lucía seems to understand why Lucas would not think the baby is his because Julieta said she had gotten her period and points out that, Rosalía becomes annoyed with her. Lucía says she is just trying to understand why he would have stayed quiet about it. For Rosalía it is clear. It is because he knew the baby could be his. Finally he came around with his tail between his legs to tell her the truth. Lucía says at least he owned up to it. Rosalía asks her whose side is she on. Lucía reminds her she is her best friend and she could forgive him. Rosalía makes it clear that is never happening. Lucía knows Franco was looking to talk to her last night surely to tell her about Lucas. She disagrees with Rosalía that Lucas being involved changes anything between her and Franco. Rosalía damns the day the peruana ever set foot in Monteverde. If only she would go back to Peru and never come back!

Hugo tells Manuel and the good father that perhaps Juan David can help them get back the engagement ring from Gloria.

Oscar tells Carolina they have to go to his house. A nun from her congregation called and she urgently wants to talk to her.

Hugo tells Juan David that they need him to help with a plumbing problem so Angelina is none the wiser. After they leave, she seems to suspect that something is up.

Franco tells Lucía that he never thought that Lucas would be capable of hiding something like that from him. He thinks that this new information will change things back to how they were with her. She says no because that is not why they broke up. She did that because of his jealousy and the problems that Julieta was causing. Nothing has changed. He needs to find out whose baby it is first. She reminds him they agreed to take a break and warns him to not insist. He agrees. She adds that he can count on her for whatever he needs.

Three drops of the knock out drug (a mixture of sleep producing plants/if is seems natural is that supposed to be better or safer?)) will put Gloria to sleep.Juan David is worried he will kill her. Hugo says it is only three drops not the whole bottle. Then he can carefully take off the engagement ring.

Change of plans! Celeste is being sent to Nairobi and knows not how long she will be there. She will not be at the school opening. She doesn't know what will happen with the school. Celeste says that is no excuse for Carolina not to tell Oscar the truth. She assures her that she will. Mother Socorro (socorro means help/aid) will be waiting for her at the Santa Bárbara convent. She is to call her when she gets there. Celeste tells her no more excuses. She is sure that the detective will tell Carlos where they are. Carolina has to agree. They will be in contact.

Carolina fills Oscar in. She tells him that Mother Superior will not be able to make it to the grand opening of the school because she is going to Nairobi.
Since he doesn't like Mother Superior, that is fine by him. Tomorrow will still be exciting with the grand opening of the school and the fact that Carolina has something important to tell him.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Juanita tells Hugo about who Padilla really is and how he is blackmailing Carolina.

The good father expresses his concern for the school's future to Carolina. She says she thinks that Celeste will take control when she returns from Nairobi.
He thinks Mother Superior Gustava is terrible. She always has her other priorities. The good father tries to alk her into staying until Celeste comes to take charge of the school.Carolina says she cannot change her plans. She needs to tell the truth already before Carlos finds her there. The good father will arrange a lift for her to Zacatillo after the grand opening and will help her however he can. May God help them!

Lucas tells the good father he will be back to visit when the time is right but now it is best that he gets away. The good father understands but will miss him a lot.

Franco stops by to INFORM Julieta that he will be picking her up tomorrow so they can get a DNA test to determine the paternity of the baby. (He doesn't learn, does he???) She asks him if if he has gone crazy or what? He says he isn't asking her (Implying he is going to make her have the test? What an ass!) She asks if he is saying he is her owner??? She tells him she isn't one of those submissive women who lowers their gaze and obeys like a lap dog. Nobody orders her around. He thinks that her refusal only proves that the baby isn't his. She has had enough of him. If he doesn't believe the baby is his, that is his problem. She tells him to go and forget about her and the baby. She will be going back to Perú as soon as she can. He brings up Lucas but she will not discuss any more. She tells him to get out.

Carolina tells Juanita that she needs her to take Andrés to the parish offices after the ceremony. Carolina says things would have been so much easier if she had not fallen in love with Oscar. Juanita notes that love arrives when you least expect it.

Néstor is having a hard time at his new job since it involves a lot of driving from ranch to ranch and living out in Monteverde.He had to stop off and take a nap on the way home. His eyes were closing. Yes, he knows it is very dangerous to take a nap along the highway. He thinks it is best if he were to move to Zacatillo. All of the ranches are much closer. He apologizes that he cannot make it work. Eva understands but would hate to move now since she is finally making a connection with her son. He doesn't agree about any real connection being made. Néstor says If she wants to stay together, they need move to Zacatillo. She half nods.

Neither Eva or Néstor are surprised they were not invited to the opening of the new school. Nobody likes them in Monteverde. Eva is worried about what Franco will think of her moving. Confronting Eva's hesitancy, Néstor tells her they are not moving to another country. She can come back anytime she wants to visit Monteverde. She has to agree. He is going to look for a house today so they can move as soon as possible.

Lucas tells Hugo he is leaving town and is going to start looking for his father by showing the photo he was sent around. He is never planning on coming back to Monteverde. Hugo tells him that Franco will come around if he gives him time. Lucas thinks not. What he is doing is the best for him.

Franco forgives Hugo but warns him not to do him dirty again.
 

MONTEVERDE

Stellar as always Jarifa. So much happened last night and you captured it all with perfection.

So Celeste is going to Nairobi! I was very surprised Father Gabriel tried to talk Carolina into staying; I imagine he feels she waited this long...

It doesn't appear the townfolk will ever accept Nestor and Eva being together. Moving will allow them to start a new life although it will be forever tainted by all that went before.

Well, ready or not, here comes Carlos. I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what happens especially if he and Padilla connect prior to him confronting Carolina/Celeste. I wonder if he thinks it's Celeste or knows it's Carolina...

It seems like the writers have written the offspring to be much like their parents in the cases of Rosalía and Franco.

I wonder if this is the last we will see of Lucas.

It, also, seems that Moisés and Andrés luckily scampered away just as Carlos set his eyes on “Sister Celeste”.

Can’t wait until we see his confrontation with the good sister and how that will go.

Maybe Oscar will take pity on Carolina and Andrés and allow them to hideout on his ranch when/if he ever hears the whole truth.

I hope that Gloria searches for days on end for that ring.

I actually felt sorry for Lucas leaving town like dog. What he did/didn’t do wasn’t right but Franco is no better since they both acted like dogs with Julieta to begin with. Guess piper has to be paid.

It is time for another performance at the strip club.

Thanks Diana and Jarifa. I agree Nestor and Eva should move. I was always surprised that Oscar had enough horses to justify a full-time vet. I have one horse now and we have the vet out once a year (and he travels at least 45 minutes to get to us)! Large animal vets generally have to spend a lot of time on the road. I get the impression Zacatilla isn't that far away (I'm guessing maybe an hour), otherwise Luisa selling her pastries really makes no financial sense. Not that these TNs ever make sense on the business front.

Something I've meant to mention is the school. So there are 2 children currently in Monteverde. What difference does it make where Sister Celeste ((Carolina) teaches the 2? I did notice one little girl in the audience at the dedication. The baby boom Father Gabriel is counting on won't need teaching for at least 6 years, unless a preschool is added. So far fetched a premise.

Also , back to Zacatilla. Why aren't those lonely bachelors driving to sample it's night life and finding women? There are certainly enough cars and trucks in Monteverde to make the trips.

Franco is a carbon copy of his father and I'd venture to say a bit nastier. I understood why Franco was upset with Lucas but he really went after Hugo as well. Very unyielding.

I did notice that the boys were hightailing it right before Carlos showed up. I can't wait to see what happens. As we're barely halfway through, I can't see everything blowing up in public and Oscar finding out now. But anything can happen!

I really don't have much sympathy for Lucas with his righteous, stubborn attitude. I don't think he will end up leaving. I'd venture to say he will be credited for saving Julieta, (possibly from a miscarriage?) Speculation only.

Yes, please let's have a strip club show soon!!! We need a few smiles :)

Kat, I was a bit surprised Nestor was exhausted after an hour commute. I realize his job is physical but most people have to travel. My commute was over an hour in perfect weather, two to three times more in bad.

I hadn't considered that there would be so few pupils! I wonder if children from surrounding towns will also attend.

I'm thinking there is hope that the town's bachelors will find their soul mates at the Inn. :)

OT..Diana , you and I have watched Marcelo in many shows over many years. He always gives a good performance no matter if he is,a good guy or a bad guy , but I have never seen him as a leading man , and unfortunately , that ship has probably sailed . Too bad .
Do you know how many episodes of Monteverde remain ? I think Papas is sailing toward the end . i am enjoying Domenica even more now that Elvira is recapping. Alejandro Tomassi is doing a great job as a good padrino to Angelique Boyer....two pros . Susan

Diana, yes, Lucas is just another pea in the pod with Franco. You are probably right he will get credit for saving Julieta. Have keep Lucas in the action some how. It seems like a miscarriage could be happening.She said she was bleeding.

Néstor is doing more than an hour commute. He travels from ranch to ranch on a circuit on his new job each day and those ranches are far flung but closer to Zacatillo than Monteverde.

I agree that there is great hope that the result of Project Genesis will eventually fill the school.

Elvira, as usual you cleared up so many things for me, thank you. I was really confused about what Genaro was saying to Domenica. Now it makes sense that he is only playing the good guy for her. I always have a good chuckle when he calls Luis-Doctorcito.

I also did not understand what Gabriel's son was saying to his dad. That is a sharp little boy. Regarding Mercedes, she is just downright evil. I am not accustomed to seeing this actress in a role like this. She usually plays a good person. I can see her good acting skills.

I also saw Kiara's coqueteas with Gabriel but did not understand what she is up to. You really helped me understand what was going on.

Papas #60part 1

Tino is playing the drums, sweating and thinking about how fragile one is and to value each second. Hours before the doctor told him he has leukemia but they’ll do more tests to be sure.

Nazario tells Prisma she’s a brute. He’s not violent but she does things to cause him to be violent. She says it’s not normal to treat her this way. He claims he takes care of her. She says she and Natalie are leaving.

The kids are playing and Pipe suddenly gets angry. Clara Luz tries to calm him. Natalie puts her hands on his shoulders and tells him to breathe with her, one, two….He calms down and Clara Luz wonders where she learned it. She didn’t, she just knows to do it. Meanwhile, Rudolf is laughing away on his phone, oblivious to what went on.

Gisela isn’t able to get the password to work on Hernan’s phone. Maybe it’s for something else. Íker comes up looking very upset. Gisela wonders what’s wrong. Melina comes around the corner and tells Íker she’s been looking everywhere for him. She looks at Gisela and Aurelio and asks what they’re doing here.

Uli talks about looking into Melina’s past by going where she used to live, Chofis thinks they should ask Hernan. A man and youth come in. The youth says he had a vision. The older man says no, it was his alarm going off. He sees Uli and Chofis. They know each other. He’s don Jorge Flores with his nephew, Julio. Lila shows them to a table. As she takes their order don Flores can tell by her eyes she’s in love.

Gisela tells Melina she’s there because Aurelio isn’t well. They’re trying to up with something and Íker says they were talking with him. Melina says she’s here with Tino, they’re only in a brief separation. And Íker is his blood child so needs to be here. They leave and Gisela wants to call Aide but Aurelio stops her. They can’t tell her why they’re at the hospital.

Tino asks the doctor not to tell Melina what he has. The doctor thinks it’s his wife, he says no, only the mother of one of my kids. The doctor says he can go, they’ll do the tests tomorrow. Tino tells Melina Iker will be with him today.

Nazario tells Prisma to go, see how she likes living alone. She says she’ll have Natalia, but Nazario’s tells her she’ll lose her to Rudolf and Clara Luz when they find out she’s alone. He says don’t make him mad and they can’t tell reconcile. She recoils and says don’t touch me. Nazario goes to get Natalia. He says Prisma has a headache. Natalia doesn’t want to leave, Nazario says don’t provoke me, the judge might see to it that he never sees him or her mother again. Rudolf tells Natalia that won’t happen. Then he tells Nazario to treat his daughter better.

Melina tells Íker she’s disappointed he doesn’t want to be with her. He says he has a dad and they do fun stuff. And besides, you’re only using me to keep Tino close to you! Tino appears and tells Íker, Let’s go.

Tino is talking to Aide on the phone. She was worried when she couldn’t reach him. She questions if he’s alright. He says he’s always nervous before a show. She can’t go tonight as she has to work. Gisela comes in. She tells Aide she has something to tell her, then remembers what Aurelio said and tells her never mind, it’s nothing.

Papas #60 part 2

Tino, Rudolf and Cheno are together. None of the females could make it Tino will clean up and they’ll go out and celebrate.

Gisela goes in to Scarlet. Scarlet tells her about posing a video for her dad but she hasn’t heard from him. Gisela hugs her and Scarlet says she prefers her hugs to having comments from her followers. Gisela asks I’d she has any new followers. Gisela says she’ll help her become an influencer. And Maximax can help and they’ll be like royalty.

The guys are out talking. Tino remembers when Lichita quit. He thinks back, he and Aide were asking why, is she unhappy with them, they’re all like family. She just says it’s personal. They all talk about what a surprise her quitting was. Rudolf thinks she was trying to reinvent herself after the divorce. That’s what he’s doing now that he knows there’s no chance of getting back with Clara Luz.
It he tells them they can’t say anything to anyone about them not being together.. Tino starts talking about the love of his life, they assume it’s Melina. No, he’s talking about Aide. They all toast.

Facundo is reading about El Chacal on his phone. He wanted as a suspect in Gibron’s killing. They think he’s left the country. He thinks back to El Chacal coming to his apartment wanting his money. Facundo says it’s only been a few days. El Chacal,says the interest is growing. As he leaves he passes Lichita. She asks who he was. He tells her, and that he owes him money. She asks why he would borrow from him. He can’t get a job. The man that had a contract with Lichita is being investigated so she might have a job when the investigation is done, but they’re both unemployed and owe El Chacal. He reads some more and says El Chacal will pay for what he did.

More guy talk and then Checo remembers when he came home and Lichita told him she quit Maximax and doesn’t have a job. Theon back to the bar and a toast.

Nazario is telling Prisma he has to work and it’s a Saturday. She answers him and he says how nice when she is nice. She leans away when he tries to kiss her as he leaves. She calls Natalia in and tells her to pack her backpack. They’re going to her cousin’s who lives on a lake, or river. They can’t invite Pipe, the place is small. Serena calls wondering how she is. She says she’ll send her her location.

Papas #60 part 3

Rino and Íker are at Aide’s with all the kids. When they’re alone, Aide tells Tino she’s glad he came, will Melina be mad. He’s not worried but Aide says sometimes Melina comes to work on a Saturday. She regrets putting the office in the house. Tino says when they’re old they can make lots of apartments out of the house.

Lila brings the check for table 4 to Circe. She wonders why Circe is having an attitude with her. Circe says she has a lot on her mind with school and everything. She asks about who it is Lila loves. Lila’s not saying. As she leaves he o gets up and hugs her, and they have a little kiss. Circe goes over to take his order. He orders and she mentions a two for one special so he can share it with somebody that’s in his head and heart and body. He’s confused but says yes. She walks away saying she’ll put a fly in his crepe.

Prisma and Natalia are at Serena’s. She asks Jeni to take the kids(Natalia and Chachito to the other room. Prisma feels bad lying to Natalia and telling her they were going to her cousin’s. She tells Serena Nazario threw her to the floor and kicked her. She starts crying.

Melina and Nazario are at work. She wants him to remove every trace of her from the business. She has enough money to retire somewhere in luxury. He wonders if she got it by washing money through Serena’s ontract at Maximax. He’s smarter than I thought.

Prisma has no where to go. Nazario would find her at Rudolf’s and Clara Luz. Serena says she has a full house but she thinks now is the time for Prisma to denounce Nazario. With her injuries she has proof, she needs to see a doctor.

Uli talks to Emi. They are brothers and part of a family that loves them, especially their parents. Emi feels he has no future. Emi wonders why Uli’s telling him this. Uli says when he was abused he didn’t think he could get through it, and now with the video, but his parents are there for him, and fore I too.

Tino is in the hospital telling the doctor he’s sure the tests will be negative. The doctor likes his positive thinking.

Scarlet wonders what’s bothering Iker. He tells her he wants to live with his dad. She says she knows they get along but what about his mother, won’t he miss her. He says there’s things about her he hasn’t told anyone. Scarlet is real excited when she gets a text from her dad and answers right away. Only problem is it’s El Chacal.

Circe brings Checo his food. He comments there’s only one crepe. She talks about his favorite waitress not being there. He tells her they’re friends. Circe doesn’t believe him, she says we’re friends and hardly ever talk. He says he could never be friends with her, he loves her. She wonders who Lila loves. He has no idea.

Lila is carrying groceries and Bill pulls over. He can’t believe her boss would send her for all those groceries. She says she has a very disagreeable boss and would love to send him far away. He says he has a worker like that, she’s rude to the customers, it he loves her. They kiss.

MONTEVERDE #47, Part 1 of 4

It seems there is a stream of planned exodus out of Monteverde! Lucas, Nestor, Eva…If only Julieta WOULD leave – but promises, promises. Carolina WAS to leave but she lingered too long and now Carlos’ shadow has cast a specter of doom over the grand school reopening. We are on pins and needles as we begin…

“Hermana Celeste” cheers continue from the faithfully gathered as Oscar and Carolina stare at each other. “Mother Celeste” Carlos murmurs out loud.

Lucas tells Julieta to breathe as she sits on the couch bent over in agony.

Moises and Andres have a chat. Smart Moises notes his friend is sad and asks why. Andres is reluctant to explain but Moises reminds him they are friends. Still…

The father introduces Oscar who thanks the attendees for their applause. He thanks Father Gabriel and everyone claps. He then thanks Mother Celeste who is looking at him in a very loving and non-nun like manner 😊. We see Franco, Juanita and Manuel smiling in the audience. Oscar’s speech continues but when he tells Sister Celeste she is marvelous, Father Gabriel has to cough rather loudly in order to stop this verbal love fest. Oscar, Carolina and the father set off canisters of streamers as the school officially reopens.

Father Gabriel asks Franco how he is. He then tells him Lucas is leaving but Franco is unmoved. Father Gabriel tries to get him to see reason saying they have been like brothers but Franco is unforgiving (shocker I know!)

Juanita takes Carolina’s hands and asks if she is all right. Yes, she gulps. Carolina then tells Oscar she wants to talk with him as Juanita shakes her head in encouragement.

Lucas bursts through the crowd running up to Rosalia and telling her about Julieta!

The boys are still off to the side playing when Juanita comes to get Andres. Moises suspects things are off as Andres grimaces behind his back as he hugs his friend, knowing he is leaving.

MONTEVERDE #47, Part 2 of 4

Oscar takes Carolina into a classroom AND LEAVES THE DOOR OPEN. ☹ You look nervous he comments. It is a long and delicate story she begins. My sister…sister he asks? She stumbles a bit and then says she fell in love with him. She is not quite getting to the point when we hear “Hermana Celeste” as Carlos strides in the OPEN DOOR. Oscar looks at him darkly while Carolina is impactada.

Rosalia tells Julieta she will get her to the hospital to a specialist.

Oscar steps forward and asks what Carlos wants. He wants to talk to Hermana Celeste. Oscar tells him she is occupied. He persists and to divert him, Carolina then asks Oscar to get Father Gabriel. After he leaves, Carlos sneers “Sister Celeste” but then shakes his head and says “Carolina”. You are an imposter he says accusingly. Carolina says he is infeliz and caused all the problems. He wants Andres and if not, he is going to tell everyone who she is. I think she says Andres is in Monteverde.

Father Gabriel is feeding Andres when Oscar comes in. Father tells Andres to leave then Oscar tells him Andre’s father is here.

Carlos lambastes Carolina scornfully mentioning the “domestic” (I assume it’s Juanita). Carolina puts him in his place about his fraud and for everything he has done. He wants his son. Esta bien she allows. He starts screaming at her and puts his hands on her. She pushes him off her and then says she won’t permit it. He threatens to call the police.

Franco bursts into Manuel’s where Rosalia and Lucia are. Rosalia reassures him Julieta will be all right as Lucia shakes her head encouragingly as Franco seems a bit mollified.

Father Gabriel comes in and Carlos tells him he wants his son. Gabriel puts him off a bit as Carlos whispers menacingly to Carolina. They are both stressed out about what to do.

Oscar tells Father Gabriel that Mother Celeste was very nervous; father Gabriel makes excuses for her. After Oscar leaves, the good padre, eyebrows raised, looks heavenward.

Julieta is on an exam table getting an ultrasound as she and Lucas watch; the doctor hears the heartbeat! The good news is that he tells her everything is fine. He tells her she must remain calm as possible, no stress. The doctor gives Lucas a picture of the sonogram. Lucas looks touched as he stares at it. He later gives it to Julieta who smiles.

Father Gabriel does return with Andres. Andres and Carlos hug as Father Gabriel and Carolina look on. Carlos wants Andres to go with him but Andres asks what about his mother; he is concerned about her being arrested. I think Carlos is going to stay at Manuel’s.

Moises asks his furrowed browed father what the problem is. He says “nothing”. Moises goes on a tirade of questions about Juanita and Andres as Oscar gets up and looks out the window.

Juanita yells about what a terrible person Carlos is. All of a sudden, she and Carolina rush downstairs where Antonio/Padilla and Trinidad are kissing in the hall! Juanita and Carolina follow him out, Juanita hitting him hard across the face, screaming that he is a traitor. “Carlos is here” he asks, totally taken aback. As he walks away, Carolina gets on her bike and rides off as Juanita gives her a thumbs up.

Lucas has made the dubious decision to take Julieta back to his place. She is sitting comfortably on a chair as he’s cooking her dinner!! Naturally within moments, Rosalia comes in, talking away, stopping only when Julieta comes around the corner. Rosalia stares in shock, and for once, is momentarily speechless. In an emotionless voice, she quietly states she is glad that Julieta is all right and then frostily leaves.

Andres asks Juanita about his parents’ situation. She understands how difficult this is for him.

Carolina knocks on Oscar’s door and enters, crying. He is afraid that Carlos might have hurt her and hugs her, putting his hand against her cheek. We have to have a talk she says grimly. Have you made a decision he asks with a broad smile, eyes crinkling hopefully. I’m sorry she says removing his hand, forgive me she says, crying harder. He wants to know why and if it has something to do with Carlos being there. Please forgive me she begs. “Celeste” he says quietly but she ugly cries stating she hopes he respects her decision. She leaves as Moises comes in. He can’t sleep he tells Oscar. Oscar, still in shock from his rejection, asks Moises to forgive him. Unable to turn around, Oscar puts his coat on.

Carlos enters Manuel’s and sits down. He and Manuel talk, Carlos saying he is here to recoup his family. Just then Padilla rushes in. Carlos berates him for demanding money when he knew Andres was here the whole time. Padila goes on a rant which I couldn’t interpret. Carlos tells him to get out.

Carolina arrives home and sits on the bed pulling off her habit. Andres arrives, unhappy to see her sad and crying. She reassures him as the two hug.

Manuel gets another visitor. Oscar walks in talking about Carlos as Manuel points behind him telling him he is right there. Oscar confronts him about perpetrating fraud on Mother Celeste’s sister. Oscar won’t permit Sister Celeste or Andres to be hurt. He orders whiskey as he turns and stares at Carlos who is sipping whiskey at his table staring daggers through Oscar.

Julieta wakes up as Lucas is serving her breakfast and coffee. I could not interpret their exchange but I think he seems to have changed his mind about leaving.

MONTEVERDE #47, Part 4 of 4

Cárcamo and Andres are in Oscar’s room where he is passed out face down on the bed, fully dressed. Cárcamo almost trips over an empty bottle partially under the bed. He says something about Mother Celeste I didn’t get that seems to get Oscar even angrier.

Gloria, Father Gabriel, Angelina and Juan David are having breakfast as Gloria seems to be lecturing Juan David about non-healthy dietary choices.

In the final scene of the night, Celeste is getting coffee when Moises marches in staring at her asking why she broke his father’s heart!

So Carolina breaks up with Oscar STILL not telling him the truth about who she is. Now she has no powerful ally. I’m sure Carolina won’t let Carlos waltz off with Andres but she is technically still a “wanted woman”. Now that Carlos knows who she is, what can she do to stop him?

We really need that strip show…

What an outstanding recap Liz. So well done; thank you.

So many plotlines coming to a head. So many poor outcomes quite possible.

"Nazario tells Prisma she’s a brute. He’s not violent but she does things to cause him to be violent" made me sick. I am so glad Prisma has Serena to confide in. She may well have internal bleeding and needs to be seen by a doctor.

Bill kissing Lila was also cringe inducing. He had a child with her mother for heaven's sake. There is no excuse for her either but he is the grown up and knows better! He never showed any romantic interest in her; this is all for revenge.

I did like Checo finally admitting to Circe that he loves her. Their paths were always aligned, hopefully this reconciliation will be for good.

I readily admit that I am very ingtrigued by what happened to Lichita. Interestingly, she and Facundo seem definitely "softer" than they were in the original. Facundo almost seems like an entirely different person. Definitely kinder...

Scarlet is definitely in danger.

Here's hoping Tino does not have leukemia...

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Carolina tells Oscar that her sister thought that the easiest way for her to get out of the problem she had become involved in was to come to Monteverde but then she fell hopelessly in love with him. She reminds him of the photo he saw of her with a man. He remembers that she had said he was her novio before she became a nun. She goes on to explain that he destroyed her heart to such an extent she thought she would never fall in love again. He says the same thing happened to him after Eva, but look at him now in front of the woman who made him believe in love again. Just for that reason, she doesn't want him to ever doubt the immense love she has for him and that no matter happens that he not question her about it. She loves him with her whole soul like she has never loved anyone ever but for the matter of survival . . . Carlos arrives on the scene.

Oscar doesn't want to leave Carolina alone with Carlos. Carolina asks Oscar to have the good father take Andrés back to his house.

Carlos wants to see his son. At first, Carolina tells Carlos that Andrés is in Mexico City. He doesn't believe her and threatens to go outside and ask people in the crowd where he is and tells them all who she really is. Finally, she has to tell Carlos that Andrés is in Monteverde.

Th good father keeps Andrés busy with some cookies as they wait for further directions from his mother. Oscar arrives and tells the good father that his mother said to take him to his house. The good father sends Andrés out of the room. He insists on knowing why. Oscar tells him that the boy's father is in town wanting to see him. The good father knows all about him. He was there a few weeks back. Oscar needs the good father to come along and take care of Andrés because he is has to go back to check on Carolina. The good father disagrees. Oscar has to take care of the boy because that is what Carolina asked of him. The boy's father is there for his son not Carolina. They agree that teh good father will go for Carolina.

Carlos asks how she explained Andrés while pretending to be a nun. She says she told everyone that Andrés was Juanita's nephew. He cannot believe that she would ever say that HIS son was related to a servant. Wow! How she has fallen in his eyes! She tells him not to demean Juanita. There is nobody as loyal as she.

Carlos explains that he set up Carolina so as to give them all a better life. She asks if having to hide is a better life for her. He cuts her off saying only wants to see his son. She agrees but has to warn him that he knows about everything he has done to her. He concludes she has been poisoning his son against him. She disagrees. She only told him the truth. He had the right to know what happened. Carlos asks her truth or his? He offered her an out and she betrayed him leaving him stranded in Chiapas in the middle of nowhere. She answers that was because she isn't open to pretending that nothing happened. She wants justice. He grabs her and tells her to take her to Andrés so he can take him away from there and she can go on doing what she wants pretending to be a nun. She tells him to let her go and not to touch her. She informs him that he will not take her son away from her. He asks how is she going to stop him. If she refuses, he can call the police so she can turn herself in. It is up to her. Carolina ends up giving in. The good father arrives.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

The good father feigns surprise that Andrés is Carlos' son. He must have been so much younger in the photo that he had shown him.

The good father wants Carolina to call the police and explains about the fraud. She explains that they will arrest her and not Carlos.

Carolina lies and tells Carlos that the good father doesn't know that she is not a nun.

The good father goes to see Oscar and explain that he has to turn over Andrés now because Andrés' father has a good plan in place.Oscar doesn't believe it because the sister got real nervous when that man appeared. The good father finally talks him into letting him take Andrés. She will come and talk to him later.

The doctor tells Julieta that she had gone through the threat of a miscarriage. She needs to rest, not lift heavy things, avoid exercise, only take prescribed medications and try to stay as calm as possible.

Carlos tells his son that he has come for him. Andrés doesn't want to go anywhere. He doesn't want to be separated from his mother even after Carlos tells him his mother has some matters that need to be arranged. Andrés suggests to his son that he spend a few days in Monteverde so that they can decide what to do next together. He only wants the best for him. Andrés says the best for him is for the police not to be looking for his mother. Yes, Andrés will stay at Manuel's. Carlos wants to rent a room for him and his son. Carolina says no way. Her son stays with her. Andrés ends the argument saying he would rather stay with his mother. Carlos agrees that he can sleep at his mother's but they will spend time together. He hugs his son.

No, Padilla didn't tell Carlos where they were.

At Lucas', Julieta come out looking for clean towels. . . . when she sees Rosalía.

With all of the activity, Juan David has forgotten about him and his wife gong back to sleep at their house. She wants to just go home already. He tells her she needs to hold on a few days more so that her mother doesn't force herself on them again.

Andrés tells Juanita that he knows all about the bad things his father did to his mother but he is glad to see him and is feeling guilty about that. She understands that he is still his father and he loves him. He feels like he shouldn't. She says he can love him and still realize how he hurt his mother. They agree it is hard but Juanita assures him it will all turn out well.

Carolina tells Oscar that no matter how much she would like to, she cannot be with him. She asks him to forgive her.

Carlos refuses to pay Padilla anything in spite of all the work he did do for him.

Julieta asks Lucas why he is helping her when she told him that the baby was not his. He explains hearing the baby's heart changed everything. He never felt like that before. The baby is not at fault. He wants to help them both be well.
He isn't going anywhere until he is sure that the baby she is expecting is not his.

Cárcamo asks Oscar if something happened at the grand opening.He saw Oscar go into the building with Sister Celeste. Oscar warns him to never mention her name again. He explains that she chose her habit over him. She can be her God, then.

As Gloria lectures on the benefits of chia, Juan David asks where her engagement ring went. She says she took it off because her fingers stopped being swollen and it was falling off. She didn't want to lose it. The good father agrees it would be a pity if such a ring got lost.
 

MONTEVERDE

Superb Jarifa. Your excellent dialogue translations were invaluable and your spectacular summary added so much to everything that occurred last night.

I'm puzzled as to why Carolina didn't tell Oscar the truth last night. She knew she and Andres would be fighting for their lives and freedom. Perhaps he could have spirited Carolina and Andres away to safety!? Granted, he would have been livid but he would have understood they were both in grave danger. Instead she rejects him without reason and gets somewhat of the same result had she told him the truth - hurt and anger.

"He asks how is she going to stop him. If she refuses, he can call the police so she can turn herself in. It is up to her. Carolina ends up giving in". I've been over and over in my head as to what Carolina can do to stop Carlos. It's a miracle that he didn't abduct Andres by force , although he likely realizes Carolina has friends in good and high places in the town so that would indeed have had the police down on him. Now that he's agreed to stay a few days, perhaps she, Gabriel, Juanita and yes, Padilla, can come up with a plan?? If Celeste is on her way to Nairobi, she is out of the picture which is too bad because she is very resourceful.

"Carlos explains that he set up Carolina so as to give them all a better life" was such a brazen lie.

"He explains hearing the baby's heart changed everything. He never felt like that before". It was clear that Lucas was clearly touched. Maybe he is the father? At this point, anything is possible and/or probable.

Please writers, more Gabriel and strip club entertainment.

Thanks Diana. I knew Bill had a child with Paulina but just didn’t Connect the dots. That makes it really cringeworthy. But we should be used to it. In that Hungarian telenovela he left his wife for his stepdaughter!

I’m glad Checo told Circe How he felt too. Now she May be more relaxed.

The new character was the one that told future things. I remember him being in Clara Luz and Rudolf’s apartment in the original Papas. I wonder what he’ll be doing in this one.

Diana, I also was confused why Carolina didn't tell Oscar the whole truth. I would have thought that him seeing her in peril with Carlos on her doorstep after her delivering the truth, would have gotten her the sympathetic response she wants from Oscar. It was the best chance she had and she botched it. I think that the (even) longer the lie goes on now , the worse it will be. Not smart.

What if the baby is neither Franco's or Lucas'? I think I would like that to happen so Julieta could leave and be gone. I was surprised about Lucas' reaction to see the fetus no matter who fathered it.

Rosalía needs to find a new love interest like Lucía has. Would it not be delightful if in the end both Franco and Lucas both were invited to Lucía's and Rosalía's weddings to other men?

I lovedJuan David and the good father needling Gloria about the engagement ring not being on her finger.

I am waiting for another performance by Juan David and puhleeze Hugo, too.

Jarifa, Carolina's "window" to tell Oscar the truth has definitely closed. I don't understand her reasoning.

I don't think Julieta's baby is Franco or Lucas'. It would be interesting if so to see how it all works out but I think it is likely someone she slept with before breezing into Monteverde.

Yes, I am really pulling for Diego for Lucia as he seems just about perfect. His daughter is a gem! I definitely would prefer if Rosalia ends up with someone other than Lucas. Both he and Franco's temperments are too hot and irrational.

Thanks Diana and Jarifa, once again. I fell asleep about 2/3 the way through, but your recaps filled everything in nicely I don't feel the need to rewatch it. Ever since my hip replacement I seem to need a bit more sleep. (BTW I think it is helping my recovery. I was given the go ahead to drive on the 2nd and got back to my babysitting routine on the 6th, 3 weeks post surgery).

Franco was rather nice to Julieta. Not knowing who his father is likely is influencing his feelings towards Julieta's baby. I wondered in earlier episodes if the good father was his dad, since Father Gabriel alluded to a lost love in his youth. The fact he didn't seem to recognize Franco's mother in the photo he was shown nixed that idea. All along I've felt like Julieta got pregnant before or after her flings with the Monteverde duo. I had hopes the ob exam would measure the baby's size and the dates wouldn't match up. No such luck.

ITA, Carolina missed her opportunity again to come clean with Oscar. So frustrating....
