Papas #72 part 1

At the hospital, all three men are grieving Lucheta.

Back in the present,Checo is blaming Facundo, who is saying it’s his fault she died. Checo says El Chacal payed with his life, when is he going to pay. Cheno says Checo is to blame also, with your art and your art show.

Jeni is excited. She went to the drugstore and bought a pregnancy test. She shows Poncho the positive result. Now they need to tell his family and she can remain living with him.

Facundo again says it’s his fault. Cheno again says it’s also Checos. Chofis interrupts them. Their mother loved Facundo, be happy for that love. She would give her life for any of them, because she loved them. Outside Cheno apologizes. He’s going to be a better father. He didn’t support Checo in his photography and he didn’t listen to Chofis about Guzman. He’s going to do better, they group hug and cry.

Rudolf and Clara Luz ask Prisma if she really denounced Nazario for abusing Pipe.Why didn’t she tell them what was happening. She says she protected both kids. Rudolf wonders why Nazario hasn’t appeared. Prisma says he went to Bill’s cafeteria and she has work to do. Rudolf and Clara Luz leave.

Cheno tells Chofis and Checo they are treasures in his life. He’ll be the father they deserve. Chofis tells him he and Lucheta were very young, they were learning as they raised them. Checo tells his dad he was always a good dad but Cheno says he’ll be better. Chofis says “they’re the C’s united.” He talks about Serena. The kids tell him it will work out ok. He goes to tell Aide and Tino. He’s sure it’s Melina who did the money laundering. They need to be ready for investigators coming to Maximax. They wonder if she’s behind their kids problems. Tino talks about how Melina and Hernan just suddenly appeared while she was in the hospital after her accident. Aide doesn’t think Iker could know all this. Aide says they need to investigate everything she did in Maximax. Cheno says there’s no such thing as the perfect crime.

Melina promises Nazario she’ll help him with Prisma, who always listened to her. She reminds Nazario he can’t talk about the money laundering. He promises, after all she’s giving him a business.

Papas #72 part 2

Our four detectives are discussing Facundo. Circe admits he wasn’t her favorite person but jail might have chayand matured him. Checo and Chofis admit they need time to recognize that their mom loved him. They discuss Uli’s upcoming court date. They’ll split up. Rice and Checo will go around to hospitals and Uli and Chofis will investiga Hernán. Uli says he’ll use his savings to buy a cellphone. Chofis has a new one that Serena gave her.

Tino walks into Maximax and Nazario leaves. Melina thinks he looks tired, it must be from all the stress he’s suffering. He can confide in her. Tino tells her he knows her intentions. She says she’s taking Iker to Merida. Tino suggests Iker needs to be in therepy instead of her fleeing. She says she’ll put him in therepy in Merida, she’s not safe here because of El Chacal. Tino tells her that El Chacal is dead and she does a pearl clutching scene.

Circe is telling Valeria she doesn’t want to be far from Checo. Valeria wonders what he feels.

The lawyer and Cheno. Is it Serena. She can’t tell Serena much, they haven’t found anything to help her. The lawyer will try to get the court date moved back a week.

Tino mentions the stolen necklace to Melina. The investigators are looking for El Chacal’s cellphone as he names all the people that helped him in the robbery in a video. Melina tells Tino she feels sorry for him because she’s sure Hernan is mentioned in the video.

Hernan has the new cellphone. He tells Uli he needs to look for spyware on his computer. Uli tells him he’s the expert even though he pretended to know nothing about computers. Uli tells him the phone is new and clean. Only games on it, as Uli ames the games Hernan finds the casino one. I think he asks for money. Those were two of his conditions for helping.

Bill is telling Lila he sees her by his side in their future. He mentions kids and she laughs, she’s not ready for that.He says not right away, some day. Lila says if they get serious she’ll have to tell Aide. She goes to wait on a table and bumps into Julio who says she’s so full of life. His uncle, Jorge Flores says she has a great sadness.

Cheno tells Serena about Luchita and the kids. Sheypleased they’re united as a family. She asks Cheno to take care of Poncho. She’s worried about his Olympic prize. Heofoi g to go on social media for help in getting her free.

Hernan needs money to play the game. Uli needs information. Hernan tells Uli to bring his laptop and he’ll help him. But first he needs the money. Uli sends it to him and he start’s gambling.

Julio tells his uncle he wants to see into the future. Jorge says you weren’t born with it, you can’t learn it. He then asks his uncle to teach him to read the tarot cards. Lila comes to the table. Jorge tells her she’s full of pain. Value it but then let it go. Only she alone can do this. But she will have happiness again. She thanks him.

Uli is back in the hospital with his laptop. Hernan tells him an UBI (sorry, I know it’s three letters) was put in his laptop. He can figure out the hours it was in. Now he needs more money. Uli says no, it was Melina that did it, right. Hernan says it was. Uli wants to know why. Hernan wants more money. Uli tells him he’s recorded everything Hernan says. Hernan wonders how he could do that to him. Uli says he learned from his grandfather.

Circe and Checo are walking in the park. She’s disappointed they’re didn’t find out anything on Melina. Checo knows her and knows something else is bothering her. He tells her to sit. She tells him they’re spent so much time together but he’s secretive and talks about going to Canada. He admits he’s secretive and tells her he loves her with all his heart. And not like 5 years ago, it’s a mature love. She loves him too. Music and a kiss follow.

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 1 of 3

Oscar, visibly shaking, eyes his empty liquor bottle and throws it against the wall, where it shatters noisily.

On the bus, Carolina is remembering being with Oscar for the first time as he tenderly asks her if she is sure. Yes she says as she smiles in the present.

“Pa” Franco says, immediately alarmed as he enters, seeing his father’s inebriated state. Oscar mutters about Carolina, calling himself an imbecile to a confused and unsmiling Franco.

Father Gabriel addresses the women in the inn about Carolina Robles. She is your friend he tells them! He espouses her virtues including the fact she has an enormous heart. Gloria, not at all convinced, makes a face, her arms folded. Lucia and Rosalia smile a bit. He credits Carolina for making Project Genesis possible as Doris fingers her wedding ring with a samile. Trinidad asks the good padre if he knew and I believe he has to say yes. Gloria is insulting but Lucia and Angelina stick up for her.

Oscar tries to explain to Franco that he was in love with Carolina as Franco’s eyes widen like saucers. Oscar again tries to pour a drink from an empty bottle. 😊. Oscar is in tears calling her false as Franco wrestles his glass from him. He helps Oscar up and puts his arm around him, guiding him to his bedroom.

Carolina and Andres arrive at the Convento del pilar. The sister that answers the door recognizes her and calls her by name. Carolina is there to see Mother Superior Gustava.

The next morning, Franco opens Oscar’s drapes but Oscar wants no part of the sunshine. He wants to be left alone, let me sleep. Moises comes in wishing his padrino good morning but as it is clear Oscar is not in the mood for conversation or anything that involves getting out of bed. Franco closes the drapes and takes Moises with him.

Cárcamo is cleaning up, mentioning the fiesta. Moises tells him there was no party and then the conversation turns to Mother Celeste.

The Mother Superior, Carolina and Andres talk. I believe the decision is that they can stay until Mother Celeste returns.

Carolina and Andres are taken to Sister Celeste’s room. They talk about her being found innocent but Carolina is none too confident.

Julieta, Lucas and Franco arrive at the clinic.

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 2 of 3

At Manuel’s, Doris and Gloria argue about Father Gabriel; he is my friend Manuel asserts.

Lucia arrives at the restaurant with an arm full of goodies as adorable Belén gives her an update on her love life.

Julieta has obviously given blood as Franco stares at his watch. The men leave to bring back coffee.

Lucia unpacks her cakes and texts Franco. How are you; have you gotten the paternity test results she asks. He gets up and leaves her a voice mail that he doesn’t have the results yet. She looks thoughtful and serious.

Madre Celeste is still on assignment as she and Carolina talk. She tells her Oscar Leon hates her. She can only stay there until Celeste regturns. How is Andres Celeste asks? Sad Carolina laments. They also discussed their lawyer but I can’t expand on that.

I’m not quite sure what the exact issue is that Gloria now has regarding Father Gabriel but he tells Manuel that she is completely loco!

Carlos arrives at the convent and asks to speak to Mother Celeste. He is told she isn’t there, she is in Nairobi. Andres is playing with the ball and has the great misfortune to have it roll toward the front door which unfortunately wasn’t closed in Carlos’ face. Carlos looks at the ball and naturally Andres is right behind it! Carlos seems to be trying to entice Andres to go with him but the lad is resolute and has no such inclination. He then tells Carlos off, demanding he leave. Carolina then arrives and put her arm around him. She tells him to leave but Carlos is not dissuaded. The nun who welcomed her asks if she is all right. She says yes, but Carlos tells her he is going to get his son back. She leans against the door after he leaves.

Back at the clinic, the envelope is handed to Franco. Who is the father of my baby Julieta asks anxiously. “I am” he says as Julieta smiles in relief. Lucas takes the papers and looks at them. Franco says he is going to talk with Lucia. Why Julieta asks. It’s personal he replies (atta boy I murmur). Franco sits down and runs his hand through his hair, clearly unhappy.

Franco calls Lucia to talk. Where are you she asks. She arrives to talk to him and he stands up looking as though he has been sent to Siberia. Without preamble, he asks her to sit and tells her Julieta’s baby is his. She says something to the effect she thought as much. She does not make any recriminations; her face clearly imparts there is only acceptance. Te quiero she tells him although there is no encouragement on her part. They hug and he puts his hand on her face. Diego calls her and Franco thanks her as she leaves. Where are you Diego asks. I’m coming back. Franco takes a deep breath.

Oscar finally decides to get up and he and Moises hug.

Lucia gives Diego the reader’s digest version about Franco’s paternity situation and then tells him it turns out the baby is Franco’s. I think she is now willing to move to Zacatillo. He says he is the happiest man in the world as they kiss.

Again, I didn’t understand why Gloria is now so down on Father Gabriel. Does she want him banned from the restaurant?

MONTEVERDE #54, Part 3 of 3

Rosalia anxiously greets Lucas. Is it your baby she asks? No is the answer as they kiss…Rosalia asks Lucas if Lucia will forgive Franco. I think she says she loves Lucas but has lost some confidence in him.

Oscar meets up with Father Gabriel at the school. (Is Oscar angry thinking the good padre aided and abetted Carolina?) Father seems to chastise Oscar, saying Carolina and her son had problems, trying to defend her. Oscar seems to be threatening to close the school as Father Gabriel sighs.

Juanita and Hugo talk as Franco comes in. He tells Hugo Julieta’s child is his. He is not happy but Hugo tries to lift his spirits.

Andres calls Moises. Moises initially wants to hang up but Moises stops him. He asks Moises to forgive him. They start talking but at that moment, both Carolina and Oscar walk in and take their respective phones away from the boys. “Oscar” Carolina notes, smiling. There is dead silence on Oscar’s end and definitely not the slightest trace of a smile!

Finally, the paternity is revealed! As Julieta’s musing seemed to confirm it was one or the other of the Leon boys, Franco being the father wasn’t really a surprise nor that the revelation pushing Lucia into wanting to move to Zacatillo.

Carlos tracked down Carolina in record time didn’t he?

It’s always hard for me to transcribe given the rapid dialog, but tonight I was hampered further by a huge bandage on my finger (thanks to a sharp cutting knife) so the letter “g” appeared in almost every word I typed tonight! ☹Apologies if I did not correct them all.

Liz, I so enjoyed your first two recap installments.

Thank you for "she does a pearl clutching scene" which had me chuckling to myself. So true!

I was beside myself Chano started to blame Checo and his art show for contributing to Lichita's death! Thankfully, he immediately recognized how callous that was and made amends.

I didn't realize how pleased I was that Checo and Circe have reconciled until I read "he admits he’s secretive and tells her he loves her with all his heart. And not like 5 years ago, it’s a mature love".A long time coming and worth the wait.

Conversely, "Bill is telling Lila he sees her by his side in their future. He mentions kids..." was just cringeworthy. As is everything Hernan says and does.

Papas #72 part 3

Tino is .talking to a man who was trying to find the videos for Tino. They found the first girl, or last. But not the others. But they came from a computer in his house. The man leaves and as Tino gets up he has to sit down, either weak or dizzy.

Rudolf and Clara Luz are talking. They wonder what will happen with Natalie. What’s Nazario’s plan. Clara Luz wonders if they plan to flee with Natalia. Rudolf isn’t worried, he found the perfect match, Lara Luz smiles. I know it’s probably her, since she set up a fake account, tu part of me wonders why he’d risk dating again. Rino calls him.

Natalia is telling her mom Pipe wanted her to come and play but she doesn’t want to. She’s afraid he’ll see how sad she is and she doesn’t want him to find out about her mom andher dad. Prisma gets a creepy text from Nazario saying he’ll leave her for a bit but she’ll never forget him and they’ll be together forever.

Tino is with Cheno and Rudolf. He has something to tell them. Cheno thinks he and Aide are splitting again. Rudolf thinks it involves Melina. He tells them it’s very grave, he has leukemia. They are shocked and saddened. They ask if he’s started treatment yet. He hasn’t because of all that’s going on. They will be there for him.

Cheno and Circe are in another hospital. They give Melina’s full name and when she would have been there. The nurse says no, then asks if it’s Melina or Celina. A Celina was in the hospital, she was run over. She can’t give any other information without ID

Rudolf says he needs to tell Aide and the kids. Cheno says they’ll be with him and help. He gets a text from Uli. The guys wonder if it’s bad news. No, Uli has a defense now.

Melina tells Iker they’re leaving Monday. He says he’s not going. She’s his legal parent and he’ll do what she says. She calls him stupid, but he’s standing his ground.

Aurelio and Gisela enter Hernan’s hospital room as Hernan is ready to leave. They say he almost escaped them. Just then an officer comes in. He’s wanted for questioning about El Chacal. He says El Chacal threatened him but he’s aking a denouncement against Aurelio for causing him to get hit by a car.

Emi comes out and tells Melina to leave Iker alone. She tells him Aide and Tino have him out of pity, Tino isn’t even his blood father. Emi realizes she was the one who sent the conversations between Aide and Tino to him. Íker tells her to leave Emi alone. Then he yells she’s not his mother.

Circe and Checo have white coats and masks on in a storage room. They find Celina’s records. She’s been in the hospital a lot. And psychiatric hospitals for violent episodes and trying to kill her parents. Checo says this means her family is in grave danger.

When the two brothers went to get coffee, I was suspicious that Juanita had just enough time to bribe the dna tech to put Franco as the father. Not likely, but might have happened.

Oscar is really in a bad way. I still think Moises will fix it. Gloria is such a pill. The padre is the heart of the town. I wish Manuel would stop enabling her.

Carlos found them way too fast. Mother Superior will be crushed if her school doesn’t open.

Domenica — episodes 31-35? Part one

Yeah, my schedule didn’t allow me to catch up the way I hoped to, and I apologize, so I’m going to go through as much as I can as quick as I can. We can all help each other fill in the blanks here, please ask questions about details you didn’t understand, or just cover things I didn’t cover! The story is getting really interesting now!

Quick and dirty summary of the main plot points:

Mercedes made a deal with Max: he’ll return the money he stole, she will drop charges when he can reconcile with Domenica and get her out of Luis’s life forever. Max transfers the money and Mercedes wants to drop the charges, but Luis doesn’t allow it because he thinks Max deserves to rot in jail. Mercedes thinks if Luis won’t let her drop charges, she’ll go to another lawyer help her (instead of using San Genis - lawyer friend), but she doesn’t get around to it.

Kiara urges Domenica to “close the circle” with Max, assuming that Domenica still secretly loves him and will go back to him. But instead, Domenica kisses him and realizes the spark is gone and she can finally wash that Max out of her hair once and for all.

Domenica decides to go to the big city to clear her head and I think attend to business, and so does Luis. He sees her going into a big hotel, follows her, she tells him she “only belongs to him” and he’s all for a reconciliation, so up to a hotel room they go to reconcile!

Luis proposes marriage to Domenica and she says yes. Happy happy joy joy.

Meanwhile, Godfather declares himself to Tia again, this time she’s had time to think about it and decides she loves Padrino, they kiss, and now are officially a “pareja” (a couple). Kiara is super rude and nasty about that when she finds out, and even mentions Padrino’s bad heart and how he could die and leave Tia a widow again. Tacky tacky tacky!
 

Domenica part 2 - eps 31-35

Domenica and Luis visit Mercedes at her place in town and announce they’re gonna get hitched. Mercedes takes it REAL bad, kicks them out. Diana, her servant (I think her name is Diana?) tries to talk reason to Mercedes, warning her she’ll lose her son if she keeps this up, and reminding her of how bad things turned out with giving an ultimatum to her husband about Pedro years ago. Diana always stays loyal to Mercedes and won’t tattle on her (Mercedes would fire her if she tried) but she clearly sees what’s right and wrong.

Mercedes “blackmails” Max by saying he needs to stick around and try to steal Domenica back from Luis, and that she won’t drop the charges until he does that. She realizes that nobody can find out about her deal with Max, because she knows he’s a scammer named Martin Gonzalez and not even Luis or Domenica know “Max’s” true identity and it would look real bad if Luis ever discovered that Mercedes knew and collaborated with him instead of exposing him.

There’s stuff going on with Cosme, Gabriel, and Genaro that I don’t always follow. I think the other two want to cut Genaro out of their businesses, and Cosme is sucking up to Max as a future socio because Max supposedly is loaded and I think he bought a house in town. Max looks at Cosme like he’s a bug.

There’s an interesting thing going on with Kiara where more people are realizing how toxic she is. Cute Lawyer, Ernesto, is embarrassed in front of Blanca when Kiara sees them together and makes some snide remark about how Blanca is a poor substitute for her (Kiara). Later, Cute Lawyer has a conversation with Kiara where he basically says that Kiara compares unfavorably to Blanca, who is interesting and educated. Kiara lashes out at him, calling him “boring” and too staid for hers tastes, and without missing a beat, Cute Lawyer gives as good as he gets. He’s no longer the meek, adoring lapdog, he’s had enough of her sh*t. He later mentions this to his dad Padrino, and both Padrino and Tia talk about what a mess Kiara is and how she probably needs therapy.

There’s this interesting sequence of events with Blanca and her two lawyer galanes. Lawyer Friend kisses Blanca (she responds), but Cute Lawyer walks in on them. Lawyer Friend is super smug and arrogant and thinks he “won.” Blanca just looks distressed. I think she prefers Cute Lawyer. When alone, Cute Lawyer implies to Lawyer Friend that he and Blanca have a thing going but “gentlemen never tell.” This deflates Lawyer Friend’s arrogance. Long story short, both men pressure Blanca to pick or at least let them know where they stand with her, but she’s sick of their sh*t too and keeps them guessing.

Domenica part 3 eps 31-35 (part of episode 35)

Domenica and Luis return to the haciendas and announce their upcoming wedding. Kiara, Max, and Genaro are shocked and disappointed.

Mercedes has decided to return to the hacienda, pretend that she’s okay with Domenica as a daughter in law, while secretly trying to undermine their relationship with Max and Kiara helping. (Mercedes doesn’t realize how Max and Kiara are collaborating, naturally.) Mercedes tells Kiara that she’d much rather have her as a daughter in law, Kiara smirks and says she’d love that too. Mercedes hopes to put on a good face and pretend to be okay with the wedding, while trying to find ways to delay it.

Max and his socio in the city have a conversation. He wants to get Domenica back, and figures he can get back in with her if that socio that’s suing her and tying up all her money is out of the picture. I didn’t get this before, but I think that Max was behind (at least somewhat?) that crooked socio suing her and causing so much trouble. Max tells his city socio to bribe a judge or do whatever, but make that problem go away so that Max (I think?) can look like a hero to Domenica.

Pedro is convinced that Nieves is a gold digger (she’s not), and breaks up with her. Osvaldo is waiting in the wings to swoop her up. But first Osvaldo asks permission from her uncle Genaro first about dating her - Genaro says some disdainful stuff but doesn’t seem to care much.

Prudencio is working on winning Nana back and she’s falling for it. When Adelaida (granddaughter) is told they’re novios, she’s real happy for them and gives her blessing.

San Genis (lawyer friend) is asked by Blanca to help her transfer the title to her Mom’s house to her - Blanca’s ill mom wants it done. Blanca pulls out the wrong envelope she had stored in her desk - she accidentally shows Lawyer Friend the contents of another envelope that Cosme’s wife asked Blanca to safeguard - which turns out to be the original title to Domenica’s hacienda, with the true boundary - Luis owns the Laguna and lands north!


 

Domenica part 4 of 4 eps 31-part of 35

Lawyer friend convinces Blanca to come with him to the state capitol and confirm that the title is real. She’s scared because she doesn’t want to get fired. He assures her that this is a big deal and fraud, so she goes with him. But first she asks gossip lady (Gabriel’s wife) to keep an eye on her invalid mom. Gossip lady thinks that Blanca and Lawyer Friend are going to the city for a romantic tryst - and somehow it gets out that Blanca’s never done anything with any guy ever. Lawyer friend and Blanca are both too distracted to worry too much about Gossip Lady (though they do get her to promise she won’t tell anyone about their trip). I imagine this will get back to Cute Lawyer eventually and cause problems.

Lawyer friend visits the notary that signed the original deed 40 years ago (I recognize the actor). He remembers signing it, he’ll stake his reputation on it being real. Now Lawyer Friend assumes Domenica scammed Luis! He and a worried Blanca rush back to Luis’s hacienda, where a celebratory engagement dinner is underway, with Domenica’s family, important servants, everyone, are having a good time. (Prudencio comes with Nana as his official novia, which makes Mercedes look a bit upset.)

Lawyer Friend spoils the mood by accusing Domenica of fraud. Domenica is in tears. Luis looks tearful as well. Godfather is indignant and says the Montero family has no reason to steal from anyone (as they are loaded with money, but he doesn’t say that). Lawyer friend can’t figure out who else would benefit from this but Domenica. Domenica tells them that Genaro gave her the title - but Lawyer Friend and Mercedes both dismiss the idea that Genaro was behind this. The deed forgery is too sophisticated and Genaro is a “basic” man. Godfather is worried because this is a serious crime and could result in jail time for Domenica!

In the midst of this, during the dinner, Genaro arrives drunk and hides behind a pillar like he wants to shoot Luis in the back. He doesn’t; Lawyer Friend arriving and spoiling everything causes him to believe the wedding might be off. As he is pointing his pistol at Luis’s back, Roque spies him, and when confronted, tells Genaro he’ll keep quiet. Genaro does confess to Roque that he shot Max “just to scare him.”

I haven’t finished all of episode 35, so this is it so far!
 

Domenica part 5 of 5 (I forgot some stuff from) episodes 31-part of 35

Pedro believes in Domenica’s innocence and convinces Luis to talk to her. Luis is willing to give her that chance.

Genaro, Cosme, and Gabriel are in a tizzy because the fake deed has been exposed! Genaro is willing to throw Cosme under the bus and say that Cosme gave him the deed. Cosme is very upset.

I did think Julieta looked genuinely relieved Franco is the father so suspect those are the true results. As she murmured to herself the other day, I think she would have been fine with either considering their last name :)

Things are really heating up quickly. I was also surprised Carlos found Carolina and Andres mere minutes after they arrived.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Melina being a psychiatric patient isn't surprising but I'm a bit confused on the Melina/Celina thing!

Hernan really has no conscience. Or morals. He is despicable.

Thank you for noting Nazario saying he and Prisma will be "together forever". He is so dangerous and I don't want him anywhere near the children!

I am hopeful Tino's treatment will be successful. This poor family has really been through it!

The good father tells the women that Carolina made a mistake but she had a very powerful reason to do so.

The good father says that he only recently found out that "Celeste" wasn't a nun. She had a good reason for having to do what she did. Gloria thinks that when she posed as her sister, Carolina committed a crime!. Rosalía answers that she didn't hurt anyone. Lucía adds that she is already gone so why judge her like this? Angelina is planning on forgetting all about it. The good father says the real Sister Celeste will be arriving soon so it is time to turn the page. He suggests that they pray for Carolina.

Franco asks his father if he had something to do with the nun. Yes, he did! They fell in love! He waited for her for months but she is nothing more than a phony.

Cárcamo explains to Moisés that Carolina had to do what she did. Nobody wants to end up in jail especially for a crime they didn't commit. If Cárcamo were in her place, he would have done the same. Moisés nods in agreement.

Mother Superior tells Carolina that she and Celeste are like two drops of water. She could never tell them apart. Suddenly, Mother Gustava thinks that she recognizes Andrés but from where . . . ? She then remembers that he saw a boy that resembles him in a small town that she visited several months ago. She goes on to explain that it is a lovely town that is far away and that her sister Celeste took a group of women there to begin new lives. Thanks to her sister, they are opening a new school for the children in the region. It is going to be named after her and her sister Celeste will be the principal of the new school. They need to go to visit her when she is there. The town is like a trip back in time!

Andrés asks his mother if , when she proves her innocence, they can go back to Monteverde. Carolina doesn't think that will be possible.

Gloria has decided that since the good father covered for Carolina, he is not a legit priest. She wants a real priest to marry her to Manuel. Just because she lives in Monteverde doesn't mean that he has to marry her. She can choose her own priest. Manuel disagrees and tries to talk her out of that by informing her that Manuel is his friend. Gloria won't give in. If Manuel wants to marry her, it will have to be with a different priest. She has spoken!

It will take 2 hours for the DNA test results.

Carolina wants the contact information for her lawyer. Celeste will send it to her. Celeste adds God willing, the lawyer will have good news and the nightmare will be over.

Manuel gives the good father the bad news about him officiating his wedding.
Manuel reminds the good father about how picky Gloria can be. Manuela asks the good father not to call her crazy, she isn't that bad. The food father is tired of hearing Manuel defending her. Manuel admits he doesn't agree with her. The good father says he will go talk to Gloria and fix things. Manuel isn't too sure about that. The good father thinks that since he created Operation Genesis and since that is how Manuel and Gloria met, it falls to him to perform the ceremony. That woman doesn't' know whom she is dealing with! Manuel looks worried.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Since the gate is unlocked, Carlos has full access to the courtyard. Andrés is smart enough not to get too close to his father so he doesn't get snatched. He calls him a liar more than once and blames him for the whole mess they find themselves in. Once, he leaves, Carlos tells Carolina that she is going to be sorry for what she is dong. She tells him to stop threatening her. She is not afraid of him. She dares him to turn her into the police. He will be implicated as soon as she gives them her statement. He disagrees saying he has it all under control. She congratulates him. She tells him to go and not come back. He tells her that he will get his son and her back if it is the last thing he does.

Franco is staying to talk to Lucía while Lucas is taking Julieta back to Monteverde. He will take a taxi back. Julieta knows that he is not excited about the news but she reminds him a child is always a blessing. He tries to smile and says he knows.

Franco starts to blame the pregnancy for Lucía being with Diego and thinks if Julieta weren't pregnant they could be together. She says no. Their relationship had so many conflicts from the very beginning. She needs peace and tranquility. She has found that with Diego. In spite of all that, she loves him and wants him to be okay.

Oscar tells Cárcamo that if Carolina had any shame she would have left Monteverde. Cárcamo tells him that she has already left. He wants to meet at 5:00 p.m. at the school with the good father.

Diego asks Lucía how she would have felt if Franco wasn't the baby's father. Would she have left him to get back with Franco? Without missing a beat, she tells him no and as a matter of fact she is thinking about his suggestion that she move to Zacatillo. He asks her if she is serious. She says yes. Diego is
pleased.

Gloria doesn't want the good father's doubtful reputation to stain her wedding ceremony. The good father will not allow his reputation be under evaluation. Nor will he allow another priest to take his place in his own church. Manuel tells Gloria that although the good father has his idiosyncrasies, he is a good man. The good father takes offense and asks "What idiosyncrasies??? Gloira makes it clear that if they insist, she is not going to get married which is the last thing Manuel wants to hear. She advises him to put on his big boy pants and fix the situation. The good father tells Manuel that it is clear who wears the pants in Manuel's relationship. Manuel says that is how it is with women these days. The good father finally agrees to not marry them if that is what they want. He tells Gloria lotsa' luck finding another priest. She doesn't think it will be that hard. Father Cucho (that is what his friends call him) aka Rogelio is a great friend of hers. The good father thinks it isn't fair for another priest to come to town and take credit for the wedding when he was the one who created Project Genesis.

Diego thought she would never leave Monteverde. She says Franco is part of it but she also wants to close that chapter of her life so why not try living in Zacatillo? Diego is the happiest man in the world with that news. He will help her find a place that she likes especially with a good kitchen. They kiss.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 3

After hearing from the good father about his run in with Gloria, Juan Carlos is only concerned if the wedding is off. The good father assures him it is still on.
Angelina fills the good father in that Father Chucho is a little old deaf man about 100 years old. How will he be able to marry her mother if he can't hear anything? A ranch hand comes int to tell the good father that Oscar wants to met him at the school at 5:00.

Andrés approves the convent and its food. Carolina thanks him for defending her from his father. He insists he was only telling the truth. She tells him she will do what she can so they do not have to stay hidden. They do not deserve to live that way. They both miss Monteverde. He is worried that Moisés is no longer his friend. She assures him that friends get angry but that she is sure Moisés is still his friend.

Lucas thinks that since Franco has been established as the baby's father everything will go back to how it sued to be with Rosalía. She tells him that nothing has changed between them. They didn't break up because the baby might have been his. They broke up because he lied to her. he knows but . . . She tells him she needs time. He asks if she isn't in love with him. She says she is but she lost her trust in him and that isn't so easy to get back. the only thing thtt he can do is give her time.

Oscar is raging at the school. He tells the good father that the school will not open because he doesn't feel like it.He financed its reconstruction and he will decide what to do with it. The good priest tells him not to mix his feelings for Carolina with the school. The school will benefit children in the whole region. Oscar cannot get beyond what happened with Carolina. He will use the school as a warehouse for straw in the winter.

No worries about typos. I cannot believe that you type as you watch. That is something I could never do and I still have typos.

I am liking that Lucía and Rosalía are taking time to consider who they want to be with.

As for Oscar, I can’t take his babyish self-righteous attitude anymore.

Loved the new wrench Gloria stuck into the wedding on the way to the altar. She is something else!

I cannot wait to see Father Cucho.

Jarifa, this was incredible. It read like an intriguing short story I could not put down. Your wordsmithing is superb and your translation skills added so much to last night's rather sobering and very frustrating evengts.

"Oscar cannot get beyond what happened with Carolina. He will use the school as a warehouse for straw in the winter" IS the last straw. (Sorry I can't help myself) :) What is wrong with this man??? He is going to punish the entire region because his relationship with Carolina went south? BTW, he is a terribly prideful man and could have listened and been a bit sympathetic to Carolina's situation.

I suspected that Gloria didn't want the good padre to marry her but I took it out of the recap...she is just being ridiculous! Good heavens woman, get a grip. In addition to her being "moraly offended" I suspect she grabbed the chance to delay the wedding so she could continue to pester Angelina and Juan David.

I love this fiery side of Father Gabriel! I'm sure he will right things, I just don't know how.

Lucia really seems to be genuinely trying to talk herself out of going back with Franco. But will it work???

Rosalia loves Lucas but is putting him off.

Now that Carlos knows where Carolina is, she can't stay there right? Where on earth will she go?
