Papas #56 part 1

As we suspected, Melina told Gisela where Hernan was. She’s beating him with her purse and yelling for the police. He says she has no proof. A woman comes to help her and Hernan runs and jumps in a car. Melina texts him, he shouldn’t threaten him, they’ll meet later.

Paulina is,talking with the lawyer in the US. She can get charge of Jason’s money as long as she has Emi with her in three days. Otherwise it goes to the second wishes of Jason.

Chofis thanks Bill for the job, he thanks her and then Lila. Lila asks about Emi’s surgery. Tino has to get back from playing with the band first.

Aide tells Scarlet she’ll be able to see her dad soon. She feels bad for not wanting anything to do with him, he probably hates her. Aide reassures her. She leaves and Uli comes in. Circe wants to come back to live here, but he wants to go live with his dad. Aide wonders why, he just wants to spend time with him. Aide is fine with that. Aide goes to find Alexander and Scarlet comes in to Uli. Scarlet comes in to tell him she’ll miss him. He doesn’t like Melina so why does he want to live there. He says he wants to get to know her better. Scarlet says Íker told him his mom changed a lot after the accident.

Paulina wants Bill’s help to get Emi to the US. He wonders why the rush. She tells him so Emi can get his inheritance. Bill has no confidence in her since she tried to get the surgery and told the doctor. I’ll had no say so. He won’t help.

Gisela tells Aide about Melina directing her to Hernan. Aide thinks she shouldn’t have gone alone. She gets the door as Scarlet and Emi come in. Paulina comes in, she wants to talk to Emi alone.

Prisma is crying. Nazario says she needs to be obedient. She goes to the door to let Clara Luz, Rudolf and the twins in. They wonder what’s wrong. She says a headache. Nazario tells Rudolf this is his home, sit. Clara Luz leaves, but Rudolf sits down. Nazario slides the computer over to Prisma so she can work. The twins ask if she’s sick.

Chofis is worried about Poncho. She tells him he’s not alone, she’ll go with him to denounce the bullies.

Paulina wants Emi to go to the US for the surgery, they can do it soon. Aide says they need to wait for Tino. Emi says Tino is all over Mexico with the band.

Tino is FaceTiming Melina, who,tells him Hernan wanted to borrow money from her so she told Gisela where he was. Tino.thinks it was so nice of her to help Gisela. She wants to have Íker miss school and spend time with him and the band. Íker chimes in with please. Rino has to go, he has another call. It’s Aide calling about the surgery. Tino knows Emi is depressed to not have had it.

Gisela is dramatically telling Aurelio about confronting Hernan. He would have gone with her if he’d known.

Rino is talking to Rudolf about how he’s coming home to talk to Paulina, ill and Aide about Emi’s surgery. He says he and Aide are getting along so well, talking, laughing etc. Rudolf thinks they’re great parents and separation is sometimes the best option.

Melina is once again telling Íker he has to become close to Tino. They both have to prove to Tino that they won’t let him down like Hernan did. Íker wonders if his grandfather was as bad as they say. Melina says yes, he is.

Íker is telling Emi he’s going to miss school to be with his dad, Paulina texts Emi wanting to know his decision.

Poncho tells his friend he’s his best friend. He’s going to denounce the bullies, he asks the friend not to say anything.

Prisma is trying to help Nazario with something. He shuts the computer and tells her what happened is normal in a marriage. Melina comes in telling them they have more projects coming in. She senses the tension and sends Nazario on an errand. She asks Prisma, as a friend, not a oss.

MONTEVERDE #43, Part 1 of 3

Oscar laments to Carolina that despite how much he loves her, her love for her vocation is stronger. He ends things as much as it appears to break his heart. Carolina cries saying how difficult everything is. She is virtually shaking as he goes on about the situation she finds herself in, eventually mentioning the Mother Superior. She tells him she loves him as he does her. He seems incredibly sad as he puts his hand on her cheek, touching her tears as he walks away. Carolina breaks down..

The drunken party goers board the party bus to go home. An inebriated Cárcamo who can barely talk, thanks them as they all pile in.

A sad Carolina removes her veil as she tells Juanita what happened. Juanita is sad and empathetic.

Lucia is serving Rosalia some goodies and as Lucia heads out, Rosalia takes another delish bite.

Oscar and Moises are at breakfast when Julieta comes in. Moises treats her like dirt and Oscar rebukes him. Julieta gives Moises the side eye. After all, she is no dummy.

Lucia serves Diego her wares and he smiles broadly, he highly approves. They agree on her employment terms and shake on it. She gets up to leave but he waylays her. She asks him how long he’s been there and more small talk ensues. Et tu he asks? How did you come to Monteverde. It’s a long story she replies. All of a sudden a sweet little girl comes up saying hi papa (Lucia looks like yup, he WAS too good to be true😊) and he introduces her. After she leaves, Lucia comments that she is lovely. Then she asks about her mother. She is dead is the surprising answer; I think he said she passed four years ago. Lucia is appropriately contrite. I will walk you to your car he offers. Once they are outside, Franco passes by and practically falls out of the car as he cranes his neck, wondering who he is as he frowns deeply.

Rosalia confronts Lucas about Julieta. She tattles on Moises repeating what he told her. Lucas gets his hackles up but she insists on the truth, noting how nervous he is. He denies and she stonily seems to accept his explanation and leaves. Lucas looks like he was hit by a freight train.

An angry Padilla rushes in and accuses Andres of putting something in his sammie. Carolina cautions Padilla to be careful how he talks to Andres. Is it true she asks Andres? He denies it and Padilla then lights into Carolina about the money. It’s not my problem it’s yours he says. I think he gave her four more days. After, she tells Andres to be calm although she is clearly worried and upset.

Rosalia tells Eva she is so happy to have found her father (yeah, what a charmer I add). Eva tells Rosalia she needs her opinion – on Julieta. Rosalia makes a face and goes on a rant, leaving no doubt about how she feels. Then Eva mentions Lucas but no warning bells go off in Rosalia’s usually very sharp head.

Carolina calls Celeste and tells her about the latest crisis – money. Celeste wonders how she is going to get all that money so quickly. She will call the lawyer but doesn’t seem to have any confidence that something will come through.

MONTEVERDE #43, Part 2 of 3

Padilla scales the infamous gate to get cell service and has Trinidad as his lookout (ostensibly to ward off big, bad Oscar). She assures him the coast is clear. May I have a moment he asks? Yes of course she answers, walking out of hearing range. Opting to keep all his options open, Padilla calls Carlos, tantalizing him by saying he found Carolina and Andres but it is going to cost him! He demands an outrageous amount of money and Carlos is livid. Padilla hangs up on him as Carlos curses under his breath.

Franco checks in on Julieta. She is always alone she laments. He takes his suit out to get dressed for the wedding. I can’t believe my ears but he actually invites her to the wedding!

Finally, it is Cárcamo and Doris’ wedding day. Doris looks lovely wearing a V neck long sleeved lace trimmed gown with a crown of flowers with an attached veil. Juanita sees Carolina’s wistful look and asks her if she is sad; the women wrap their arms around each other and head into the church.

Cárcamo is nervously pacing at the altar…

Lucas sports a tan leather jacket greeting Rosalia in a lovely lilac dress. Seeing Franco arriving with Julieta (looking frumpy in a nondescript print dress), Lucia shakes her head.

Father Gabriel greets Andres warmly.

The wedding march plays as Doris walks down, joining Cárcamo at the altar. In the front pew is Oscar and Moises. On the other side, sit Carolina, Juanita and Andres.

Father Gabriel gives a sermon on the importance of marriage and ensuing happiness.

Franco confronts Rosalia at the wedding asking about who he saw Lucia with in town. Ahh, the hotel she comments. She retorts why he is asking as he brought Julieta to the wedding. She grabs cokes and turns away in annoyance.

Carolina and the boys dance. Even Padilla is there dancing with Trinidad.

Juan David gives Hugo a card (I think of the place he’d seen advertised at the bachelor party).

MONTEVERDE #43, Part 3 of 3

The two little tricksters are in the kitchen, Moises holding a pink bottle of something that is surely not something tasty…

Franco joins Lucia at a table as Julieta keeps her gaze firmly on him from the dance floor. He congratulates her on the job and she thanks him. As they talks Julieta slinks over. Clearly annoyed, he tells her they are talking but Lucia immediately stands up and tells her there is no problem and walks away.

The boys go up to Padilla and Trinidad at the table. They hand them bottles of something to drink. Learning nothing from his previous mistake, Padilla drinks heartily as the boys go to a table laughing and high fiving. Oscar arrives and tells Moises it’s time to go. Then, Moises leads his father by the hand over to Carolina. Oscar tips his hat and hurries Moises away.

Julieta thanks Franco for the “wonderful” time. He looks like he’s tasted something very sour and moves past her to leave. In a happier setting, Lucas, Rosalia and Lucia arrive home. They talk about Franco, Lucia saying she doesn’t care he is a free man. After she leaves, Rosalia and Lucas share a deep kiss.

Back at the inn, the women discuss the night. All of a sudden, Padilla enters clutching his stomach screaming at Andres to confess! Carolina stops him. Trinidad drank the bottle they gave her but nothing happened, she’s fine! The women angrily rush forward to get him out. Carolina tells him off and follows him outside. She asks him who he was calling. First he says he called his sick mother. She pushes him and he admits to calling Carlos. There were a few other things said about money that I didn’t understand.

Juan David is cut off by Gloria as he and Angelina talk. Father Gabriel comes by bringing an exterminator with him! (the white outfit, black boots and mask are a dead giveaway!). The thee march out as the worker looks around…

Lucas comes out in an undershirt greeting Rosalia. Rosalia calls Julieta something very unflattering. Lucas angrily doesn’t want to talk about her. Now the red flag is waving for her. He rages and tells her she is obsessed. She stares and swallows.

The exterminator seems to give news that they will have to vacate the premises for a few weeks (?) Father Gabriel invites them there or they can stay at Manuel’s. Gloria ugly cries as Angelina comforts her.

Julieta has breakfast ready and asks Franco to join her. She lies and says she had no intention of interfering in his and Lucia’s relationship. However, she now asks him for another chance, mentioning the baby. Instead of a flat no, he just stares.

In the last scene, I believe Oscar tells Carolina the school will be ready in a few days.

I was glad the bus and its occupants arrived home in one piece so the wedding could commence without incident! I really thought Lucas would finally spill the tea he slept with Julieta but that little incendiary piece of information will have to wait. Diego is so appealing! Carolina and Oscar’s eyes clearly show they still love each other. There is hope.

Papas #56:part 2

Paulina tells Emi they have to let the doctors know about the surgery. Emi tells her Tino is coming to talk to them about the surgery. He doesn’t understand why Tino isn’t all for it. Paulina says Tino doesn’t want him walking and running. She wants all his dreams to happen. That’s why she has a plan.

Poncho’s friend doesn’t think going to the police is good. Better to just take what Jeni offers, unless he’s gay.

Melina says that’s perfectly normal in a marriage. Prisma says, being sexually violated. Melina says yes, especially if they haven’t had sex in a while, have pressure at work, the thing with Gibron, then Pipe. It lets out his tensions.

Rudolf tells Clara Luz he’s not jealous of her but he really misses working in music, maybe he should talk to Martin. Clara Luz says no. Maximax is more stable, and he wouldn’t want to leave Aide alone. They remember when Lichita was worried about being fired, but neither knew why. Clara Luz tells Rodolfo that Martin is getting ready to travel. He mentions the custody hearing. She’ll see him tomorrow, they kiss and hug.

Tino thinks Aide is glowing, is because he’s not around? They laugh. She tells him the twins are switching,living,places, he makes a joke, another laugh. They talk about Checo. Sometimes he wasn’t not around and Lichita was distracted at work. Aide wonders if he was in jail when Aide saw her at the jail. Gisela shows up and is not pleased to see Tino. She gets onto him about his father. Then she mentions Aide going to Madrid with Bill. Tino turns in surprise when Bill arrives. He’s early.

Poncho’s friend shows,him the video of Ivette denouncing Uli. Poncho says he knows URI. The friend says Uli is a hero. That’s what Poncho needs to do with Jeni.

Paulina is meeting with the three other parents. She tells them the surgery is very low risk. Rino wants to FaceTime the doctor to talk to him. Aide and Bill agree. She says they’re all egotistical. Then a scene of Bill telling Paulina he knows she just wants Emi’s money. Tino should know about the money. He’d do right with Emi. Paulina tells him he’s miserable. Then back to them telling Emi the operation is too risky. He wants a chance to be out of the chair. He wants to be alone. Bill asks them to keep him posted about Emi.

Emi calls Paulina to tell her. She knows, they ran her off. He asks if it’s risky. She says all surgery is, but he’ll be out of the chair. He asks about Tino’s permission. She’s fixed it, she can take him to the US alone. He can’t tell anyone.

Tino and Aide talk about Scarlet. Tino tells her Facundo wants to talk to him alone. Aide’s fine with that, just curious as to what he can’t tell her. They talk about being separated. Rino says they’ll always be parents together and he’ll always hold her in his heart. Then…they kiss! A real one!
Sometime in the past they’re arguing about a biological father, then a scene where they’re kissing passionately, then fighting about their parents, then loving, then she throws him and Melina out. Then back to the kiss. Aide says no, Tino says,they still love each other. Then he says she’s with Bill because her mother thinks he’s perfect and she’s taking his family to Madrid.

Liz, tonight's episode was emotional and gripping. Your recap was insightful and informative as always. Thank you.

Sometimes, my not understanding what is said is a blessing. "Melina says that’s perfectly normal in a marriage. Prisma says, being sexually violated. Melina says yes, especially if they haven’t had sex in a while, have pressure at work, the thing with Gibron, then Pipe. It lets out his tensions" had me gasping. Melina is inhuman.

"Paulina is meeting with the three other parents. She tells them the surgery is very low risk". Paulina is heartless.

Tino and Aide still love each other. Their split was inevitable given all they've had to deal with. I've no doubt they will find their way back once Melina and Bill are dispatched.

I was oddly moved by Facundo's recollection of being released from jail and Lichita bringing him to her little apartment.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Carolina tells Oscar that her situation is much more complicated than what it seems. Also, he said he was going to wait for her and give her the time that she needed. Why has he changed his mind? He answers that if there is one thing he detests it is being deceived. She asks if what he wants if that they stay separated until she quits being a nun. He answers that he would love nothing more but honesty he doesn't believe that will happen because she has done nothing about leaving her order. She hasn't even talked to her mother superior.
Carolina has to agree. He is sorry but he cannot live on false hopes. Carolina tells him how much she adores him. He thinks that love is shown through deeds. He is sorry but she hasn't fulfilled her promises. She insists that from the bottom of her heart she wants to be with him. He answers that from the bottom of his heart, he can understand how hard it is for her to leave her habit behind. He tells Sister Celeste to follow her own path and he will not judge her.

The party goers have a designated driver for the bus. They are instructed to sit down when on the bus so they don't get sick.

Carolina tells Juanita that her situation with Oscar is hopeless. He has told her a countless number of times that he cannot stand it when somebody lies to him. she has no doubts that he will hate her..

Moisés makes it clear that Julieta knows she is not invited to the wedding. She reacts with a smile saying he is right. Oscar is not so happy with his comment.

Diego and Lucía make a deal. She will deliver pastries three times a week. He will get 35% of the sales, she will get the remainder. He is anxious to celebrate by taking her to dinner. She says she has to get back to town so he settle for talking to her while she finishes her coffee. Diego has had the hotel for 12 years. He lives there, too. His daughter's name is Belén.

Lucas tells Rosalía he was arguing with Julieta, because it is aggravating him that she is messing up Franco's life. She asks if that is the reason he gets nervous whenever her name comes up. He starts his double talk and says not for that but it is even worse because she might be trying to get Franco to think he is the father of a child that may not be his. Now she is strutting around because she lives in his father's house. She's a real taker. All she car s about is his money. He's too tierd to go on talking about that woman.

Padilla tells Carolina that he is tired of being in that town so she now has four days to come up with the money. If she can't do that, he will tell Carlos where she is and everyone in town who she is. Also, if Andrés or his little friend come around him, he can shorten the time even more.

Eva asks Rosalía what Lucas thinks of Julieta. Rosalía says he cannot stand Julieta either because he thinks that she is taking advantage of Franco because there is no way to prove that her baby is his. Eva thinks a DNA test would be useful. Rosalía answers that you cannot make anyone do anything. Eva answers that somebody has to talk to Franco about it. Rosalía is silent.

Celeste tells Carolina that they have a buyer for the house but it cannot be sold since she is under an arrest warrant having been charged with fraud. Her property has been seized by the court and it cannot be sold until her legal situation is resolved. Celeste isn't happy to hear she is now paying Padilla and tells her to get out of Monteverde ASAP. Carolina reminds her one more time that she has no where to go. Her only option is to pay Padilla. Celeste answers there is no news from the lawyer and she is worried the lawyer will drop the case when she finds out they have no money to pay her with. If she has no lawyer, Carolina fears that her name will never be cleared.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

Padilla now wants 150,000 pesos ($ 8,337.00) from Carlos. Carlos is taken aback. Why? Padilla explains that he has realized how much time and effort he has put in on his case. He will give Carlos until tomorrow to make up his mind.

Juan David is all ready to go for an audition for the club in Zacatillo. He gives Hugo the info so he can call the club.

Before they Julieta interrupts them, Franco asks Lucía if she hass thought about their relationship.

Lucas clarifies Franco' situation to Lucía. Franco is staying overnight at his father's house but not with Julieta. Lucía doesn't really care. He can do what he wants. Lucas wants her to know that Franco is in love with HER. Seh doens't want to talk about that.

Trinidad lets it be known that she and Padilla were at Oscar's so he could make a phone call. Carolina finds out that Padilla spoke to Carlos. He insists that their deal still stands but he had to check in with Carlos so he didn't suspect him of anything. He insists he isn't playing both sides and can be trusted. He leaves telling her to talk to her son. He won't be putting up with any more of his pranks.

The exterminator arrives with the good father. He is form the municipality. It is a new service to keep infestations under control. They are concerned with termites and dwarf cockroaches. The exterminator needs them all out of the house. Angelina rightfully suspects this is a scheme cooked up by Juan David and his uncle and is upset since he agreed that her mother could stay until the baby was born.

Lucas gets angry when Rosalía mentions that Eva thinks that Franco should get a DNA test done to see if he really is the father of Julieta's baby. After Lucas gets angry again, Rosalía is sure there is something he is not telling her.
She concludes that the fact that the baby may not be Franco's is what he is reacting to. The baby is not Franco's. Lucas says he has no idea and he doesn't want to talk about it. Now she has ruined his breakfast. She asks again why he gets this way when they talk about her. He has had enough! He hates gossip! She says it is not gossip. Julieta could be messing up Franco's and Lucía's life. If he knows something, he has to tell her. He answers that he has nothing to tell. Julieta was Franco's novia for a month when he left. When he came back, she was already pregnant. That is all he knows. Franco has assumed paternity. Lucas thinks that Rosalía is the obsessed one. He tells her to get over it.

The fumigation process will take four weeks but then, it could be more. The good father can take Angelina and Juan David into his home. Gloria assumes that the termites can eat her then. The good priest is sorry but he has no space for her. He suggests the inn or Manuel's house.

Yes, the school will be ready to be opened in three days.
 

MONTEVERDE

This was a combination of original episodes 44 and 45. We missed Cárcamo going missing after his bachelor party and Gloria catching the bouquet. Too bad. Hope this is the first and last cut we have. More mañana.

Jarifa, reading your summary was a joy. So poignant, superbly written and thoroughly captivating.

I am beyond sad that this was sliced and diced. Yes, fervent hope that this was a one time chopped salad.

"He answers that from the bottom of his heart, he can understand how hard it is for her to leave her habit behind. He tells Sister Celeste to follow her own path and he will not judge her" was so touching. Yet beyond that, the spectre of the fact she never told him about being married to Carlos and is Andres' mother looms large. Will he ever be able to see beyond this "betrayal?"

Everything truly is a mess isn't it? So now that the house can't be sold, how on earth will Carolina ever get the money to pay Padilla? Even if she does, there's still the matter of Carlos who certainly won't give up the search for his son.

When is the light going to dawn for Rosalia? She's intuitive but obtuse regarding what Lucas' true motivation for his anger at Julieta is.

"Juan David is all ready to go for an audition for the club in Zacatillo. He gives Hugo the info so he can call the club". OK, we MUST be able to see this, right??? Also, even though I'm annoyed with Hugo, would love to see him audition too!

Papas #56. Part 3

Serena prances into Maximax. Serena loves her attitude. They’re having another photo shoot, which means more money for Serena. Serena suggests having the Tino’s band play in the background. Melina loves that idea. She calls for Nazario to come with her. He turns to Prisma And tells her to finish the design, and she better not to a bad job. Serena calls her over to ask if everything’s ok. Prisma sad.y nods yes.

Melina tells Tino not to meddle in her relationship with Bill. He thinks she meddles on his relationship as she always is distrustful of Melina. Then Melina walks in and wonders why she didn’t know he was here but his ex does.

Martin loves Clara Luz’s singing. She doesn’t know what to say. He kisses her.

Prisma seems just about to talk to Serena when Nazario is back wondering why she didn’t finish the design. She says Serena had some thoughts. Serena suggests they go to the garden. Nazario says he’ll go but then sends Prisma when he gets a text.

Melina is mad that Tino didn’t tell her he was here. He tells her he met with the parents about Emi. She tells him Íker needs him and he needs to work on that relationship and hers too.

Paulina texts Wmi with instructions. They leave tomorrow Wmi says she’s the only one he can depend on. She says that’s because she loves him.

Prisma tells Serena everything. Serena tells her just because he’s your husband doesn’t give him the right to violate her and be violent. She needs to denounce him.

Checo is helping Chacita with his homework. Chachito wonders what’s wrong with Poncho. He says nothing. Jeni comes in and Checo asks when she’s leaving. She says this weekend but then tells Poncho her dad won’t answer her calls and texts.

Prisma says she can’t denounce Nazario. Serena says she can’t agree that this is normal. She suggests joining a group of woman, to discuss and get advice and help. Serena will go with her. As Nazario comes out Serena is talking business.

Uli tells Tino he wants to move in. Circe says she plans to go back to her mom. Melina is thrilled to have the kids anytime. She tells Íker to develope a better relationship with his dad. She thinks he should miss school to travel with his dad. Tino doesn’t agree. Melina asks Íker what he thinks.

After Aurelio drops the two kids at school Paulina appears to Emi and starts wheeling his chair. Íker sees this

In court the judge wonders why Rudolf and Clara Luz never married. Rudolf says a piece of paper doesn’t prove their love and commitment. Nazario pops up to disagree. They’re not showing responsibility.

Paulina explains to Emi they’ll be in the air by the time anyone knows they’re gone. They have to stop at the lawyers first to get the money for the surgery. Emi doesn’t understand, Paulina will explain everything on the plane.

Aide tells Bill she thinks it’s a good idea to travel to Madrid as a family.

Facundo texts Tino he’s on the way.

Íker is trying to tell Scarlet who took Emi. He’s trying to describe her. Meanwhile Wmi and Paulina are on line at the airport. He’s questioning Paulina about the money from Jason. Papas #56 part 4

Facundo is thanking Tino for all he’s done for Scarlet. He’s been a true dad to her. Then Tino gets a call from Aide. He tells Facundo he has to go, it’s urgent. Facundo thinks back to leaving jail. El Chacal is there asking for the money he owes him. When he says he doesn’t have it, Chacal gives him his credit card and says he’s going to need it. He leaves and Lichita runs up and hugs him. He says he’s happy to be free but has no money and no where to live. She found him a place to live. He loves it, she thinks it’s not as grand as he’s used to but he loves having no one in his space. Lichita worries about everyone finding out, but they’ll manage. Nothing is going to separate them.

Bill finally tells Tino Paulina is taking Emi to the US. They head to the airport.Paulina is stressing at the airport as Emi asks if the money is more important than his surgery. He doesn’t understand about the money. As she’s yelling that her son needs preferential treatment. She then tells him she’s doing it for him.

Prisma is in court but thinking of what Serena said. Nazario calls her abused and stupid, but with ito at the end, like a term of endearment. She tells him she’s doing needs to go to work, what if they lose their job. She calls Serena, she needs someone to talk to. Serena will meet her at the park near work.

On the hallway someone calls Poncho disgusting. His friend catches up to him. He’s going the wrong way to class. Poncho says they say things at school, in the street and on social media. He’s sick of it.

Tino and Aide try to get the boarding stopped. The woman says they’re not answering the phone. They ask for the gate and all three of them take off running. Tino is in the lead and once he runs through security he has a group of officers chasing him. He gets to Emi and hugs him. As the agents grab him he says Paulina,is kidnapping a minor.

Serena brings Prisma to a place for abused woman. Peisma tells them she’s doing needs help. No one will judge her, they’re there to help.

Yeni comes to Poncho asking what’s wrong. He’s sick of all the kids picking,on him. She’s sick of her dad not responding and Checo may throw her out. She kisses him. He stops her, he’s worried someone will come in. She says no one’s home, she kisses him again as she’s leading him to the bedroom. He asks if she has a condom, she says no, he suggests waiting, she says nothing will happen. Famous last words!

Everyone is in an official’s office at the airport. They can’t believe she would put an inheritance above her son’s wellbeing. As they leave Paulina stops Aide,
telling her she should know exactly who Bill is.

Facundo is at the cafeteria. Lila is happy to see him. He wonders why she told Scarlet he was free. She says,it’s because her parents are liars. He wonders why she’d say that. He thinks back to when he couldn’t get a job and was looking at Scarlets picture. El Chacal showed up. He loans him:money, with interest.

El Chacal is looking at the same pictures. He sees Scarlet’s picture and realize that’s Facundo’s daughter. He says they’re identical.

Bill tells Aide, let’s go, but Aide wants to hear what Paulina says. He knew she was married, and he had a pregnant wife. The only truth from Bill was he didn’t know about Emi until she told him. She told him where to find him. She suggested he open a cafeteria here to be close to Emi. They were lovers here.

I meant to have this done earlier! This week has been rougher than last, just because Christmas break ended and life started up in full forcé. Between late school buses and things already planned I got busy! Two grandkids live with me. I tell the older one his dad, and aunt and uncle had to walk to the bus stop and just wait. With the app it’s better, unless there’s a sub bus!

I’m not 100% sure Paulina was going to take Emi for the surgery after she got the money. I hope Tino is able to get it-with Aide! I’m pretty sure Bill is history. It seems like some story lines are winding down. I can’t wait until Gisela finds out about Bill. He knew about the inheritance too. Maybe she’ll be ni erro Tino.
We still have over 20 episodes left. It seems early to have problems solved. But there’s plenty more!

Jarifa and Diana, sorry I've been silent on the comments. I've been watching the episodes a few days late. The bonus is I got the full episode, not the sliced and diced version. I was impressed by the tree Caracamo awoke under the morning after the bachelor party. It was cool looking.

Belen is the same girl that played Sam in Recetta! She was so good in that role I've hoped to see her again. I imagine this will be a small part for her though. Personally, if I were Lucia, the widower is the better match. Franco is getting on my nerves. Why is he staying in Dad's house after the wedding, and I thought Julieta was not invited to the wedding, but she seemed to be there.I still can't believe Lucia is making a living baking cakes and cookies. Now, if the hotel actually hired her on as the pastry chef then that is a real job.

I also can't believe nobody except Oscar has invested in satellite coverage. Haven't they heard of Star Link in Mexico? Manuel or the police station in Monteverde should invest in it.

So the pink bottle the boys found to doctor the beer, was it some sort of laxative? I can't believe Padilla accepted the opened bottles from them, and it appears the boys opened the bottles at their table. When did they have the opportunity to doctor the beer?

I wondered how Carolina was going to manage to sell her house. Isn't it also in her husband's name? Also, how will she manage to sign the paperwork, I unless she gave her sister a POA....

I am afraid for Scarlet now that El Chacal has realized she is Facundo's daughter. Yes, I like Facundo much better in this series, he's almost like a differrent person. I would venture Lichita's love saved/reformed him.

Papas #57 part 1

In the past Bill is breaking up with Paulina. It was an adventure but it has to end. She insists they spend the night together, it looked like Bill gave in. He thinks, choosing the wrong always has a high price. Back in real time Paulina says the only truth Bill told her was he didn’t know about Emi till she told him. Bill wants to explain, Aide isn’t interested and leaves. Paulina says Aide would have found out sooner or later.

El Chacal is talking to someone on the phone. He’s going after Facundo and Tino, and Melina and Hernan.

Hernan texts Melina he wants his share of the money. She says give her a few days. Speaking to his picture she says he’ll never get Íker because she needs him to keep Tino close.

Scarlet thanks Íker for letting her know about Emi. She asks about him being with Tino. He’s looking forward to being with him. Scarlet feels he deserves it. She says she was horrible to her father. Íker tells her if he knew how much she missed him he would come running.

The lady at the violence center gives a good talk to Prisma. No one deserves to be treated badly, physically or emotionally. Partners do not have that right and should not make you feel guilty. Serena is there for Prisma.

The four parent family is not good for Pipe.The judge gives temporary custody to Rudolf and Clara Luz. They will be checked on by Family Servises.

Emi is disappointed that he will remain in a wheelchair and his mother has shown him again that she doesn’t love him. He goes to his room and Tino wants to talk to him. Aide says give him some time. It hurts Tino to see Emi sad. He wonders why Bill didn’t come back to the house. Aide said had things to do.

Lila tells an unhappy Bill she’s here if he wants to talk. He says he is his own worse enemy, and the lies and bad decisions he made caused him to lose the woman he loved and the chance of having a family. Lila thinks when things are lost you must find a different road.

Nazario argues with the judge. He and his wife are married and the better choice. She reminds him Natalia’s hearing is coming up.

Circe and Uli are texting. He thanks her for switching places. He says she’s his partner in crime. He wants to learn more about Melina. Circe thinks she’s just a woman in love with their dad. He couldn’t find anything on her cell phone. Circe’s friend sits down next to her Circe wants to talk with her, but first her friend apologizes for not being there when Circe needed her.

After sex Jeni says her dad and everyone abandons her. Poncho said they did this from love. He’ll never let Cheno put her out in the street.

Rudolf and Clara Luz tell Peisma what the judge said. They leave, I’m not sure why they didn’t stay. Nazario blames Prisma for them losing Pipe. She tells him hi’s hurting her. She seemed a little stronger against him.

Serena is talking to Cheno about a husband being abusive. Everyone sits down for dinner. Cheno wonders when Checo will get a real job. They start arguing. Cheno demands respect. Checo thinks he should be given respect too. Cheno goes to the gym, Choco to his room. Serena goes to Checo. At the tribute she saw his love for his mother. When he’s ready to talk she’ll listen. He mentions maybe going back to Canada. Alone, he thinks back to talking to his mom from Canada and how he’s doing She’s so proud of him. He should call his dad, who also misses him. He says he’ll talk to him when he gets home. She has something to tell him when he comes home.

Bill wants to apologize to Aide. She says she thinks Paulina was pretty clear. He tells her he was with Paulina when his wife went to the hospital. He tried to get to San Diego it when he got there they were both gone. He wants to be with Aide. She says that’s not going to happen.

Papas #57 part 2

Tino is telling Melina about Paulina. He can’t believe a mother could treat her son like that. Melina says Bill is nice. Íker joins them as Uli asks about her family. Her parents died before Íker was born. But she had an aunt. Íker remembers pictures of him with the aunt. Melina doesn’t remember where they are, since the coma her memory isn’t good. She gets up and Íker tries to see her phone. So maybe he hadn’t checked it out yet.

Bill doesn’t understand why Aide won’t give them another chance. She says it’s not his lies, she doesn’t love him.She was attracted to him and thought he was a man with integrity. Their voices are raised and Emi comes in wondering what’s going on.

Aurelio looked for Hernan in the casinos, he wants to help Gisela. She doesn’t know how to thank him. He’s hoping that after that disgraceful Hernan, she hasn’t closed her heart to love.

Nazario says the twins will be living very far apart. Rudolf says they will find a place close by. I’m not sure why they’re moving when it’s Pipe’s apartment.

Emi seems to know what Bill did. He doesn’t want him in his life anymore. Bill says he’s his father. Emi says no, Tino is my dad forever.

As Íker gets ready to leave Melina tells him to get close to his father so he forgets his other kids. He says they’re his siblings. She says no, you’re his only biological son. She calls him stupid and says they’re not his siblings. She tells him to speak well of her and bad of Aide. Remind him of the macadamia nuts.He reminds her she did that to the brownies. He has to do this to keep Tino with them. If he doesn’t he’ll see what she’s capable of.

In the school hall Jeni reminds Poncho of their plan. She kisses him. Kids are impressed.

Nazario is blaming Prisma, calling her stupid and talking down to her. He feels she owes him. Each insult brings a memory of the talk the woman gave. Nazario gently hits himself a few times with a frypan. He’s crazy.

As they leave, Melina mentions to Tino she’ll be giving her testimony on Gibron. Tino is sorry he won’t be there for her. Hernan is watching and decides to call ElChacal but the number is disconnected.

Bill is talking to Melina on the phone. He lost Aide. Melina tells him she was only with him to make Tino jealous. He’s hurting. A knock on his door brings Paulina. He tells her he’s not going to be her accomplice any longer. She’s going to the US to get the loan back for the surgery. She only came by to laugh in his face. He closes the door and says she and Aide are going to pay for everything they did to him. He only wants his son.

Paulina tells Lila she’s sorry she wasn’t always a good mother. Lila tells her she was the worse. She wonders if Lila has talked to Emi or Tino. Lila asks why. Paulina offers to bring her to the US where she can study whatever she wants. Lila isn’t interested. Paulina leaves and Checo comes by. She’ll bring him a coffee.

Aide and Clara Luz talk. Aide doesn’t think I’ll is as bad as Paulina. It he was working with her. They talk about the love they have for their kids. Gisela overhears that Aide broke up with Bill and is upset with Aide.

Tino apologizes to Facundo in a text. Facundo will talk to him when he’s back.
Íker comes in asking about Tino’s feelings for his mom. Will he marry her, does he love her. Rino wonders if it’s an interrogation or a talk. He says Íker will unite them forever.

Melina tells the detective she suspected Rudolf but thinks he’s incapable of killing anyone. The police already know he’s innocent. Melina wonders if they have another suspect. She says she thinks it was El Chacal and he had someone on the inside helping. Hernan.

Hernan is leaving a casino. He wants to see El Chacal but Aurelio is there.

MONTEVERDE #44, Part 1 of 4

“Three days?” Carolina manages to get out. She gulps thinking about the school opening so quickly as Oscar politely tips his hat, wishes her a good day and drives off. She cries quietly.

After they’ve eaten, Julieta goes to clear the table as Franco reminds her (for the hundredth time) the only important thing/person is his son. As he leaves she looks a bit defeated (if only I mutter).

Juan David and Angelina argue about…what else? Her mother! She doesn’t want her to be alone. I believe Juan David thinks Gloria will be well off at Manuel’s.

Said Gloria is crying in her tea to long suffering Manuel. He kisses her hands, pleading with her to marry him. She stalls says it is a very important decision…then she turns the conversation around to Angelina. And the baby! She manages to give him a few seductive looks and kisses which has ignited his ardor. He leaves as she frowns.

“Super bien” is Moises’ answer to his father as to how his day was. I think Carolina wants to call the Mother Superior as Oscar smiles.

Eva drops by to see Rosalia. She asks for meds and helps herself. Did you have a good time at the wedding? Yes, Rosalia affirms. Rosalia tells her Franco brought Julieta and the drama! Eva is surprised and not in a good way! Eva pushes as to relationships, Franco, Lucas and Julieta. All of a sudden Rosalie has a light bulb moment, taking off her lab coat and rushing off.

It seems Hugo has made an appointment at the club for Juan David. The two chatter happily.

As Carolina uses Oscar’s office to call Mother Superior, we see she has lied and is calling Celeste. Celeste gives her good news about the lawyer; Carolina calls the lawyer an angel (not sure what the lawyer did). Carolina mewls about her situation.

Carolina picks up the picture of Moises and Oscar and cries fresh tears as the boys return. Moises immediately senses something is off and asks her what is wrong. She picks the picture up again smiles and wipes her eyes.

Are you all right Oscar asks? Yes. Carolina says she has something important to say as Oscar looks hopeful but they are interrupted by Moises and Andres.

MONTEVERDE #44, Part 2 of 4

Rosalia runs to see Lucas. She comes right out and asks him if the child Julieta is carrying could be his!!

Angelia and Juan David are lovely dovey in the morning as the cheerful father appears. Breakfast is served. Angelina misses her house. Father Gabriel has an idea I didn’t understand as the other two giggle.

Lucas acts mortally wounded at the question. Yes or no she demands. I think he says no (?)

Andres will miss his good friend Moises if they have to move. Carolina explains the dangers including Carlos.

Rosalia visits Eva. What is it? Rosalia shares her suspicions. I believe Eva wants her to confront Franco. Eva does NOT like Julieta.

Lucas runs to Hugo to tell him that Rosalia confronted him. I think Hugo suggests he tell the truth. Lucas insists the child isn’t his. Hugo gets upset and says it’s not fair if Franco isn’t the father. Lucas takes off in a huff.

Manuel comes home with some delicacies to ignite their passion but alas his love has flown the coop.

Father Gabriel’s long-winded plan is interrupted by Gloria AND her suitcase. She is worried about her daughter but Juan David assures her Angelina is pregnant and perfectly healthy! The exterminator arrives saying the cockroaches are more difficult to get rid of than anticipated so the job will take longer. Gloria is quite annoyed. I believe Father says she will just need to go back to Manuel’s

“Antonio” arrives at the inn waving a white flag. Trinidad runs over as one of the other women gives him a withering look.

Juan David unloads on Hugo about his situation. Manuel comes out and learns what happened. He is not happy Gloria went to the good padre’s. Juan David still complains even though Angelina tries to calm him. He advises her he and Hugo are going to Zacatillo! Uh oh, Angelina wants to accompany them! What to do?!! Juan David throws Hugo a look of pure desperation.

MONTEVERDE #44, Part 3 of 4

An angry Manuel confronts Gloria. She defends herself saying Angelina and her nieto need her. I am her mother she explains. He says something like if being an abuela is more important than their relationship is, they are done. Gloria immediately puts her fingers over her ring as though he will take it off her finger…When he sticks his hand out indicating she should give it to him, she lies and says it is stuck. He storms off as she easily removes the ring.

Now for a much-needed ray of sunshine. Lucia and Diego flirt over a pile o’ pastries. She accepts his invitation for wine and food. He smiles adorably as he asks her if she has a boyfriend. No she answers trying to explain that she did but he got a woman pregnant. We were novios she begins the tale as her voice fades out.

The men wisely bring Angelina to a dessert shop where she dives into a sundae.

Padilla and Trinidad arrive at Oscar’s. She gives him her phone as he clumsily and noisily scales the gate. He calls Carlos who calls him “miserable” and refuses to pay the extortion Padilla demanded. Carlos hangs up as Padilla sputters.

Adorable Belén arrives at Diego and Lucia’s table, spreading joy. She talks about an influencer and Lucia gets up and accompanies her as Diego beams. Lucia puts Belén’s hair in braids and helps her pick out a dress, a pretty pink one.

Padilla apologizes to Trinidad who hugs him as he rolls his eyes. But he does smile a bit. She pulls him down for a kiss and although seemingly not too happy, he manages to acquiesce.

We have another very intelligent child as evidenced by Belén asking Lucia if she likes her father. She commented he seemed happy at the restaurant which hasn’t seemed to have occurred often after her mother’s death.

Now to the highlight of the evening!! Juan David and Hugo have entered the club. There are fluorescent lights and a hot spot vibe is being emitted. A woman seems to be directing two men who are gyrating on the stage practicing their routine. Juan David is very nervous and wants to bail! “Vamanos” Juan David begins but Hugo pulls him back.

Hugo squares his shoulders and goes up to the woman in charge. He puts his arm around Juan David and introduces him. The woman looks Juan David up and down her expression neutral. Do you have experience she queries? Hugo interrupts and answers “yes”. She looks a bit doubtful.

Angelina already having downed one sundae is asked by the server if she would like another. At first she says no but then gives into temptation. Can a sugar coma be far behind??

MONTEVERDE #44, Part 4 of 4

Then, Juan David starts to strut his stuff; and to my surprise, it really was AMAZING! Dancing in tune to the music, he removes his sweater and throws it on the floor. A quick routine included impeccable sexy dancing in time to the music, a one-handed pushup and a full on, down to the floor split! WOW. Hugo and the woman are impressed (as is your recapper!) 😊 “Come with me” she says, seemingly sealing the deal. The men are ecstatic.

Lucas flashes back on his conversation with Rosalie and starts breathing heavily. With guilt.

Carolina goes to church and gets on her knees and prays. I can’t provide specifics except her love for Oscar. Father Gabiel comes around the corner and overhears her. “Carolina” he calls gently as the two stare at each other.

Lucas walks into Rosalia’s office. She holds out her arms to him which he ignores. He leaves the door open I think he admits to being with Julieta (kindly correct me if I’m wrong Jarifa).

And with that, we end. We are now halfway through.

I could have watched Juan David all night! So much fun. The man has moves! Can’t wait till Monday.

"Lila tells an unhappy Bill she’s here if he wants to talk". I did not like her putting her hand over his. She is clearly attracted to him and although he smiled there was nothing inappropriate about the smile he gave herr. Pure speculation but I hope he doesn't encourage Lila now that he is on a vindictive payback against Aide (which surprised me).

"If he doesn’t he’ll see what she’s capable of". I can't believe Melina threatened her own son. She is a demon from hell.

Íker is telling Tino his mother was really nice before the accident but she’s changed. Sometimes he’s afraid of her. She’s done stuff to keep Tino with her. And he and his mother did something to Aide. He stops, Tino wants to know what they did. Tino thinks back to being in bed with Melina. He thinks he’s trying to convince himself he loves her. Back in the present, Tino wants to know what Melina wanted him to do. He says, behave himself. Tino asks if he’s sure that was it, Iker’s sure.

Aide tries to tell her mom what Bill did. Gisela doesn’t want to hear, but Aide says he lied. Gisela doesn’t think that’s bad. I think she said she’d move out if she went back to Tino. Maybe that’s my wishful thinking.

Aurelio is there to make sure Hernan pays for the pain he caused Gisela. Hernan says there’s no proof he did anything. He accuses Aurelio of being a thief. Aurelio says, one time, but you continue to be a delinquent. Hernan hits him with his cane but falls back into the street, and is hit by a car.

Gisela thinks lying isn’t bad, Aide needs a man to take care of her. Aide has her business, apparently Gisela doesn’t think much of the business, but then says Aide needs to kick Melina out of it. Aide leaves and Gisela gets a text from Aurelio, he needs to see her.

Serena is suggesting color to Melina. Nazario says she knows nothing about it, he’s the professional and she wouldn’t understand even if he explained it to her. Melina tells her a patron wants to invest in her. She wonders if she’ll get her own brand. Melina says she will handle Serena’s career. Prisma tells Nazario she’s going for Natalia’s. He shushes her.

Martin thinks Clara Luz’s voice sounds better than ever. That’s because they got Pipe back. Martin worries about her living with Rudolf. She has to as the judge thinks they’re together. Martin thinks it’s bad to lie to a judge. He wonders if she’ll say yes to him. She says when they’re going out.

Gisela tells Aurelio it’s karma and divine justice. She tells Aurelio not to call Aide or Tino. Hernan has a broken femur but is not critical.

Prisma is talking to Natalia’s teacher. Her behavior has changed and she’s no longer a dedicated student. Noise bothers her and she gets very nervous. She heard a couple arguing and began to cry. She tries to make herself small, trying to be invisible. She wouldn’t say anything to the teacher, Peisma needs to talk to her. She remembers the kids thinking she was sick, and Nazario yelled at her and then at Natalia. The teacher thinks she’s afraid of someone or something.

Nazario seems to think they can’t afford to put so much into Serena. Melina tells him not to meddle, she’s got it under control.

El Chacal is texting someone about a death, but he never mentions who.

Uli is talking to Chofis.. She thinks he’s obsessing about Melina. Some girls sit at a table and one points to the pervert, they call him that. A man asks if he’s bothering them. They tell him what he did and he tells Uli to get out.

Prisma wants to talk to Natalia alone. She wonders if she’s been bad. Prisma tells her no, but she seems sad and distracted. She tells her mom she doesn’t like her dad yelling, she thinks he’s dry ugly to Prisma. When Natalia goes to play with Pipe Prisma starts crying. She calls the violence center asking for their schedule. She always wants a psychologist for Natalia.

The man in the cafeteria wants to fight Uli. Chofis and Lila are trying to stop it. Bill comes in and throws the man and girls out. Circe shows up and he tells them he and Aide broke up but he’ll be there for them. They’re shocked.

Aide is telling the kids she and I’ll broke up. She won’t tell them why. She says Bill has always treated her with respect. She doesn’t want them to tell Tino. The kids tell her Bill had told them. Emi says Bill lied more than Tino. Gisela comes in and says their mom lost Bill. Then she talks about the other mother. Aide tells her enough.

Bill tells Lila the breakup was his fault, he lied. He hates out it affects his brother. Lila doesn’t understand. Bill says he arrived in their lives because of Paulina. Lila says he’s a victim of Paulina. She destroys everything she touches. She puts her hand on. Ills face. I’ll looked uncomfortable.

Íker and Tino are talking. Íker wants to learn music and maybe play in the band, with the kids. Rino wants to know what he started to say. Íker sticks by his story but Tino doesn’t believe him. He tells Íker he can always talk to him.

Uli is telling Chofis he wants to put a camera in the house. She says hasn’t he learned that’s not a good idea. Melina comments. He didn’t know she was home. He offers to move out until his dad gets home. She says his kids are always welcome.

Rino is trying to get Íker to talk. He says his mother never mentioned him until after the accident, now she’s obsessed with him. He doesn’t want Tino to break up with his mom, it will be his fault. Tino will always have him by his side. Melina calls.

Rudolf and Clara Luz tell Prisma they got an apartment in the building, a floor below. Nazario, as usual is ranting, saying he decides for his family. He yells for Prisma and she hurries after him.

Melina tells Tino the detectives decides El Chacal was responsible for Gibron’s death.She’s scared he’ll come after her. She wants him to keep Íker with him, and not have him go school. He doesn’t think that’s a good idea. He has to go.

Rudolf says now he has to see Nazario at home and work. Clara Luz says but they get to see their daughter. Rudolf thinks he’ll quit Maximax, did Clara Luz talk to Martin? She tells him Aide broke up with Bill and needs him. Better to wait a while and then have another job to go to. She thinks back to Lichita talking about quitting but doesn’t have a job, and has bills. She tells Rudolf Martin has no job openings.

Aurelio thinks they should tell Aide and Tino about Hernan. She wants to talk to the police first. When he’s locked up she’ll tell them.

Tino and Íker are excited after the concert. Íker goes to get towels. Circe calls, Tino heard from everyone before the concert. Circe will talk to him, don’t worry Ma. Tino wonders what’s wrong with Aide.Circe says she was saying matrimony, because her divorce is about to be final.

Serena has a surprise for the family, she’s not telling yet. Chofis asks Poncho if he denounced the kids, he’s not going to, he doesn’t want to make more enemies. Chachito has a thing at school, everyone needs to be there, Jeni too. Cheno then checks that her dad is taking her this weekend. She’s not sure. Poncho says she’s fine here, Checo says he’s not the one in charge.

Tino arrives home and Melina is surprised. Also upset, because he dropped Íker at school. She thinks he’s in danger. Tino doesn’t think so. He had some things to do. One of them is finalizing Íker getting his name. Melina goes to hug him but he stops her, “We need to talk”.

Gisela visits Hernan. She sees he recognizes her. Everyone thinks she’s his wife. She wants her money returned or he’ll be back in a coma. She goes for his throat a few times.

Uli is talking to Chofis. The lawyer either has, or is working on the address the video came from. Uli still needs proof.

Circe are talking and laughing when she gets the news from Valeria, the divorce is done. She says she married and divorced, that relationship is part of her life.It was hard to figure out what Valerio was saying. I think he’s looking for a job and blaming Melina for what he did.

Melina wants to know, what’s going on. Is it because of his ex. She suggests he have a bath and relax. She’ll make him a tea. He says to sit down. He tells her they’re done. She grabs him, telling him no, he can’t do that.

Liz, I think it's so admirable you have continued to power through these double episodes while you are still recovering. You have done a fantastic job. Truly.

One of the things I was looking forward to reading was your interpreting Tino and Iker's conversation about Melina. I didn't think he said anything specific which you seemed to bear out. You did such a good job of translating and giving us a clear vision of what occurred. In fairness, I think Tino hearing that Iker and Melina did something to Aide even though he didn't get specifics, bringing up her accident and lastly, Iker saying he is afraid of Melina were definite red flags. So happy he finally gave her the "we need to talk" speech which was long overdue.

Poor Natalie is now suffering because of horrid Nazario...

"Martin worries about her living with Rudolf. She has to as the judge thinks they’re together. Martin thinks it’s bad to lie to a judge. He wonders if she’ll say yes to him. She says when they’re going out". I don't like the newly not improved Clara Luz. So deceitful! What is going on with her? Not cool.

"Bill tells Lila the breakup was his fault, he lied...She puts her hand on BIlls face. Bill looked uncomfortable". As well he should! Whatever is Lila thinking. Is this her way of striking out at Paulina? Unsettling. I hope the writers don't go there.

I can't wait to see Melina in meltdown mode which should happen on Monday.

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 1

Julieta asks Franco if he has thought about them getting back together and the answer has not changed. It is still NO. He says he has no need to think about it any more. The only thing that connects them is the child. PERIOD.

Juan David tells Angelina that they will be at his uncle's for as long as it takes for her mother to get settled at Manuel's. He gets her smiling saying it is best for them. He is doing this because he loves her.

Manuel tells Glor[a to pay attention to the signs fate is sending her. Yesterday, she caught the bouquet at he wedding and today she is back staying with him. He thinks that fate is telling her that her place is at his side. He urges her to marry him already. She rejects him saying that he shouldn't be pressuring her now with the state she is in.. He asks how long will he have to wait and reminds her that Angelina is pregnant and not ill. He adds that one baby will be followed by another and only then she will finally realize that she has spent her whole life waiting on others and putting their happiness on hold. She is sorry but as long as Angelina is pregnant , she cannot think of anything else but assures him as soon as the baby is born they will get married. Manuel says it will be at least seven long months until that happens. Anything could happen to him in that time. She is sure nothing will considering his surname, he is as strong as a bull. He answers that you never know so he doesn't want to lose any time. She smiles, squeezes his cheek and answers that they will see what happens. They kiss. She has a taste for some shellfish so that she can make them in that special sauce. He agrees to go pick some up. She reminds him that they say they are aphrodisiacs. Shrimps, scallops, oysters . . . He quickly leaves to go get them.

Rosalía tells Eva that Franco has a soft heart and ended up being blackmailed by Julieta in some way to take her to the wedding. Eva thinks that Julieta is a horror and asks how she ever came to town. Rosalía explains that Lucas and Franco saw her on the road looking for a lift to Monteverde where she was going to take some photos. All of a sudden, she was staying at their house since Manuel didn't have a room for her and "just like mold she spread". : ) Then Lucía left town and Franco started going out with Julieta as a consolation prize. At that same time, she (Rosalía) and Lucas were on the outs and. . . . . Rosalía realizes something and is out of there.

The Yellow Submarine is two strippers short in their ensemble. Auditions are that afternoon. Hugo will take Juan David.
 

MONTEVERDE Extras parte 2

The lawyer told Celeste that they do not have to think of paying her until the case has been settled and her house is sold. Carolina tells her the bad news. it is time for her to leave Monteverde. The detective hasn't outed her yet but the school is opening in three days and she will have to tell Oscar the truth. Celeste has already found the Santa Bárbara convent in Guanajuato where Carolina and Andrés can take refuge. It has a school right across from it. Celeste will talk to Mother Gustava to let her know the school is finished and she will be coming to Monteverde to take charge of it. She asks Carolina to fill the good father in so he can pick her up in Zacatillo. They agree that will be in front of the cathedral.
Celeste tells her to have faith that it will all work out.

Carolina tells Oscar that she will need to talk to him the day of the school opening. He hopes that she will be giving him good news that day.

Angelina tells Juan David it is so good to be eating alone again. Juan David says uh . . . maybe not. The good priest smelled the food way over in the sacristy and is dying of hunger. Ravioli with salad with beet root. Angelina asks the good father how much longer will the farce go on. She appreciates how much he cares for them but she misses her own bed. In a lapse of decorum, he says they have to get rid of that old lady. (vieja as as nonun) Both Juan David and Angelina are socked!!! He backtracks and says that old (vieja as an adjective) . . . experience of living with such an . . . unusual woman. She needs time to realize that her place is at Manuel's side. Angelina whines on about wanting to go back home. The good priest has an idea. They can pretend to be living at his house but at night go back to sleep in their own. They can have their privacy and live their life as a married couple should without anyone bothering them. They like that idea.

Rosalía tells Eva about Lucas and how he denied having anything to do with Julieta. She still feels he is lying to her. Eva says she needs to talk to Franco and convince him to asks Julieta to take a DNA test to make sure the baby is his.Rosalía is sure Julieta will refuse. Eva says she will take care of planting doubts in Franco's head because she doesn't like that Julieta!!! (I agree!)

An agitated Lucas the Worm goes to see Lucas about Rosalía's questions. He knows that he gets upset anytime she brings Julieta up. Rosalía has noticed but how cannot he be that way since he is sick of talking about Julieta. Hugo thinks the time has come to tell the truth. Lucas the Worm fears if he tells Rosalía the truth, she will break up with him for good. Hugo still thinks it is the best because if Rosalía or Franco find out about him and Julieta some other way, they will never forgive him. Franco repeats that Julieta has told him the child cannot be his so if he opens his mouth he will be causing a mess over nothing. Hugo says at least he wouldn't be acting like a coward. What if Franco and Julieta do a DNA test when the baby is born and it turns out not to be Franco's? The truth always comes out. Better he admit he had something to down Julieta. Lucas the Worm feels lost, walled in! Hugo says at least Franco and Julieta would see that he had the courage to tell them.
 

MONTEVRERDE Extras parte 3

Gloria thinks that Juan David can sleep with the good father in his room and she can with Angelina in the other room. The good father asks how can she think of coming to live in HIS house? She offers to sleep on the couch. The fumigator says that the house will be out of commission for eight weeks. They need to stay away from the house because of the toxicity of the chemicals they will be using. Manuel makes it clear that Gloria can take herself and her suitcase to Manuel's because she cannot stay there. No, she cannot sleep on his couch.

Padilla invites Trinidad out for a bike ride.

Angelina asks Manuel to go and talk her mother into coming back to his house.

Angelina says that Juan David and Hugo can leave her at the ice cream shop as they do what they need to do in Zacatillo.

Gloria blames all of the stress in her life for havng made her fingers swell up so much that she cannot get the ring off. Manuel says she better find a way to get the ring off of her finger whether it be oil , saliva, water, whatever but he wants it returned to him quickly!!! She says now she knows she was only a toy for him to satisfy his carnal desires with. He doesn't want to hear any of that. He offered to marry her. It is clear she never really accepted the proposal. That is clearer than water.

Lucía tells Diego that she has solved the communication problem. She will make sure she checks her phone for text messages every day.

Juan David tells Angelina not to move from the ice cream shop. They will come and get her.

Carlos tells Padilla to never call him again.

Lucía admits that she still loves her ex but has to recognize that she has no future with him. Diego keeps smiling. Belén tells her all about her pajama party she is having for the first time ever. Lucía offers to help Belén fix her hair in two buns like her favorite influencer. Diego is grateful.

Angelina is told that she cannot just sit at the ice cream shop without eating, so she orders another sundae just like she had.

Juan David does the splits (and in jeans!!! )

Carolina prays to the Virgin for help. She can barely remember what her life was like before all of this started. .. . before the lies . . . before having to pretend to be somebody she is not. She had such a calm and clean life and now look at her! She is trapped and lost in this mess without knowing how to get out of it. Then life put a man like Oscar León before her . . . a man she didn't think existed . . . a man who she fell in love with, with her whole heart. But now she is trapped in this lie. She prays for strength and courage to be able to tell him everything. She knows she will lose him but when that moment arrives, when he looks at her with resentment, please cover her under her (the Virgin's) cloak. She asks the Virgin to be able to bear the emptiness because she doesn't know how she will be able to live without him.The good father starts to enter the church and then stops. She pleads for her help to confess to Oscar the whole truth although it will break her heart into pieces. The good father addresses her.

Lucas comes to see Rosalía saying he cannot deal with it any more. Yes, he did have something to do with Julieta. He slept with her once.

Loved Juan David's performance! Best part of the episode. We need more performances!
Interesting that Padilla is now on his own.
Gloria is getting on my last nerve but her scenes with Manuel were very entertaining.
I would love to see Lucía end up with Diego He is alive and thriving! Franco is so tedious and blah.
