"CASILLAS"
Dondi356, Kat in SC, Halimacandy, Kirby, Judy, Darcy, UA, & Co: Won't be able to post the recap for this evening's episode due to watching the 2025 College Football Playoff Semifinal: Fiesta Bowl between 10.) Miami (12-2) vs 6.) Ole Miss (13-1).

"CASILLAS"
Howdy from the Alamo City, CarayCaray Family. I missed last night's episode due to watching the wild ending of the 2025 College Football Playoff Semifinal: Fiesta Bowl, where 10.) Miami (13-2) defeated 6.) Ole Miss (13-2), 31-27 last night.

Anything crazy happening in last night's episode?

Lejos 1-8-26

I just watched the episode, as I watched US figure skating last night (and checked the Miami Ole Miss score occasionally).

Cihan told Alya about his father's death at C's wedding with Meriem. The wedding did not become official. Meriem moved to Germany and eventually married some else. Boran had killed the instigator of his father's murder (Demir's uncle was the instigator).
Cihan spirited Boran out of the country, took care of the family and eventually married Seyda in recompense.

Demir told Zerrin that he only married her for vengeance for Seyda's marrying C. Demir would not touch Zerrin. The next day Kaya went to Demir's house and gave Zerrin back his promise ring (worn on the right hand during an engagement).

Nare announced that she will divorce Ozcan.

The Alboras don't want Alya to work for Demir. After discussion, Alya sats she has patients and responsibilities. Cihan acquiesces that she can go to work because he has a plan. (She was going to work in any case because she works for the hospital, not directly for Demir.)

Thank you Anastasia for the mini recap! I have lots of thoughts, but no time today! Mañana!

Thanks, Anastasia! I was very glad to finally hear the whole Meryem story. I know the subtitles spelled it as you did, but I think the Turks spell it with a Y. I was happy to see Cihan didn't fly into a rage when he found Alya there. He did eventually ask her how she got in, and she explained it, I thought, gracefully, as being about her curiosity.

High-handed Sadakat was trying to order Nare to return to Ozkan the jerk, but Cihan shut her down. She wants Cihan to be divorced, but Nare to stay with a real loser lest she end up with Sahin, the son of her archenemy. I'm grateful for every scene she's NOT in. I could be wrong, but I'm not predicting this woman to change like I've seen a couple of other horrible mothers in law do in other dizis.

Kaya was perfect in his scene with Demir. I saw Demir's face fall a bit because he was looking forward to Kaya (and Cihan, mostly) suffering over his taking away an Albora bride. Now he's got a bride he doesn't want to touch, and Kaya is on the path to healing and moving on. Of course, the fact that Demir doesn't plan on marital relations might well mean that eventually Kaya and Zerrin can be together. And this is especially true since several of us here think she might be pregnant from her one night with Kaya.

I'm late to commenting tonight as I had a lovely day in San Francisco with a friend who lives there. It's 26 miles from my house. We went to the new Sunset Dunes park on the Great Highway. Last year they created a special park without any car traffic. They're doing lots of restoring the vegetation that keeps the dunes from drifting away. The sun was shining and we walked and walked near the Pacific. Then we went to Hook Fish Co. for fish and chips.

"CASILLAS"
Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Here's my super-short recap of last night's episode.

*Ladies & Gentlemen: We're now in the Ultimos Semanas stage of the spin-off.

*Nutjob Rancho torturing Diana with a blowtorch. Unless there's a rescue attempt, I'm afraid Diana will NOT be around next season.

*Slick Horacio is so damn slippery with his typical filibustering in justifying his complicity of having Diana captured.

*Paco: You might want to accept the reality of NEVER seeing Diana ever again, buddy!

*Ismael & Co., making plans on rescuing Diana.

*That damn Annoying female TV news reporter is still ANNOYING!

Thanks for the # 51 highlights, Anastasia. Like you, I fell behind a bit because I was watching sporting events. I still have to watch Friday's episode and I hope to have the recap up by tonight.

Don't know, Kaya might be playing a longer game and is throwing everyone off by what he did. I can't see him giving up on Zerrin just like that. And if she's pregnant...

Since Alya asked the question, "what if Meryem returned?" I wonder if she will.

Wow, Cihan threatens Mine. If she blabs about his private life, she'll have to leave the city. Exactly what does that mean? How would he do this?

Ha, Alya is contrite. Is she "punishing" herself by putting the locket back on and sleeping in the bed?

The bed's mattress and bedding has been changed so she can rationalize it's no longer Cihan's bed. (Altho it's still in his suite.) The locket does have a photo of Deniz - why not put it back on? I think she considers the locket as a birthday present from a friend - why not wear it? The family however, sees it as a personal gift from a man, and they give it a lot more significance than she does.
Cultural difference.

Lejos #52

I just wrote a summary and lost it just b4 posting. This has happened before.

So - I'll try again but shorter.

Alya has been getting phone calls that she ignores. Eventually she deletes that listing. Cihan and Sahin meet. Cihan will give Sahin some land. Sahin pledges not to work for Demir and not to smuggle drugs and heavy arms, because Alboras don't do that. Demir has been using hospital assets for major smuggling of drugs and arms and has a shipment that night. Cihan finds out, and his gang hijack the truck. Cihan and Demir meet. Cihan trades the truck etc. for the hospital (presumably with a pledge of not notifying the authorities of the smuggling?). Cihan, now owning the hospital, fires Ugur. Ugur is not happy.

lejos

Thanks for starting, Anastasia, but I have a standing commitment to recapping Fridays and I intend to keep it. It's a little delayed but it will be up this evening.

Thanks - When I am watching on TV I don't take notes. Like you, it's easier to do a recap when you can stop the film. You, Dondi, are always able to provide a lot of helpful detail.

I can understand falling behind on this blog because of sports viewing, dondi. My interest in college football dropped to zero when Ohio State lost to Indiana after being unbeaten to that point. I am a born and bred Buckeye, originally from Akron. I'd probably never have left Ohio if I hadn't married a man who wanted to move to California.

This dizi is troubling. Who are the writers? What is their point of view? Usually in a TN you have your baddies and heroes, and there’s no doubting exactly what the writers want us to think about them. For instance, if you have some man being macho, there’s a flashing neon arrow pointing as his behavior with the very clear message Men don’t behave like this, women absolutely do not allow yourself to be treated like that. It’s a PSA. In fact, right now there’s a character in Papas who fits that bill and for sure he will get his TN comeuppance. Good is always rewarded and evil punished – they’re morality tales, after all.

But I can’t find a moral center here. What do the writers think about everyone’s behavior? They portray the suppression of the women, but are they actually against it? Not only do the women live like cringing wraiths fading into the walls of their konaklar, they also seem to be harshly judged as complainers who need to keep their mouths shut. I don’t recall a male character being told not to speak, yet the women are being hushed constantly. When Alya at first was vocal about her unhappiness, she was portrayed as whiney. Only the men’s problems are important, never mind that her world had been completely blown up.

Why was Alya going on about wanting to go home when Cihan had supposedly bigger problems? Me, I thought she was badass – she refused to be silenced. She was told she must never mention Canada again. Why? Because it got on Cihan’s nerves. And apparently his nerves are the only nerves that count.

I like to think the writers don’t approve of honor killings or forced marriages at least.

Cihan is a disturbing hero. He often behaves badly and yet the writers seem lost in admiration for him. One of the most disturbing scenes was when Cihan came to visit Mine after her suicide attempt. He walks in stoney cold and orders her to get him a drink, then sits and glares. I had the feeling the writers thought that was fine manly behavior. I was appalled. Besides, if you treat your mistress like that whenever you see her, even a love-sick Mine type would not stick around. You have to give your lover some nice times, some kind words. Nobody would put up with six years of that.

And recently, the force he used on Alya, yanking her out of her office and in another scene yanking her arm and throwing her on the bed. I’ve never had a man use for force on me and I found these scenes scary, but the writers again seem to think this is manly behavior, even romantic. It provided an opportunity for their faces to come close and for some music to play. Look how studly he is! Me, one yank and I would be so out of there.

I welcome the presence of Ugur, who is a modern man and whose whole take on things is What the hell is going on here? He correctly assesses the danger to Alya. He actually communicates. Welp, he’ll be gone soon.

#52 part 1

ChiAl have one of their snarky exchanges. Alya gets a call from “Açma!” This is translated as “don’t answer”. It’s a valid translation for us, but the verb açmak is interesting and has lots of nuanced usages.

Neyse, whoever Açma! is, it visibly affects Alya and she puts the phone away. Cihan picks up on this. Who is it, he asks, let me see it. Alya tells him it was an unknown number. He doesn’t let it go. He notes she turned pale. He asks, are you okay? She tells him she will be late and brushes past him and out the door. [hmm… Alya Hanım seems to have some secrets of her own.]

Cut: Alya goes outside and Cihan follows. Kaya and Nare are there. She’s stopped by Deniz. He drew a picture of his horse, Firfir. She’s in such a rush that she barely looks. Deniz complains. She looks, says it’s beautiful, gives him a kiss and hurries off. Kaya asks Cihan if Alya is upset because of him. No, Cihan replies, go downstairs, I’ll meet you. Nare asks her bro he had a fight with Alya. No, Cihan answers, this is something different. Nare asks, could that doctor have said something about Boran? Cihan thinks if that were the case, they would know. I have no idea what this is, he says.

Sahin visits Ecmel and Halis. He’s angry. That opportunistic bastard set a trap for Zerrin, and you let him. How can you live with this on your conscience? You’re sitting here as a visitor, you idiot, Ecmel replies, you were an inmate a few days ago! Sahin fires back, I’d rather go back than partner with the bastard who used me to ruin Kaya and my sister.

Ecmel says, when Cihan found out about Halis, he increased his shipments. He’ll recover the power he had. We need a partnership with Demir. Halis is about to be released. If we don’t work together, then we can’t fight Cihan. Halis says, listen to your father, trust him. I have a lot of connections. I’ll get new routes. I’m waiting for the signal to bring Demir’s merch to market. We’ll destroy Cihan.

Sahin refuses to work with Demir. So what will you do, Ecmel asks, return to Cihan as a lapdog? Sahin says no. Ecmel asks, did you forget you told me you’d do all you can to take over the Albora empire? You will be laughingstock. They will have their way with you! Don’t humiliate yourself. Demir is part of the family now, if we join forces, Cihan will not defeat us.

Cihan tells Nare that Erol has started on the divorce case. There is something else she wants to talk about. Notice Sada on the upper terrace looking down at them. Nare says it’s about Sahin. He’s very upset with Demir over Zerrin. I’m sure he wants to stay away from Demir, but his father is forcing him. We have to help him. Cihan says, I told Sahin to come back, but he refused. What more could I do? Nare notes that if not for Sahin, Alya and Kaya would not be there. We owe him.

Cihan says he will think about it. But he warns Nare to stay away from Sahin. And if I divorce, Nare asks. They notice Sada spying on them. Cihan asks her, do you want to admit mother was right? Kaya acted without thinking and look what happened. Be patient. She nods.

Alya gets another call from Açma. She texts: don’t you dare call me ever again.

Kaya can’t believe Alya intends to keep working for Demir. Cihan says he’ll take care of Demir. Kaya asks, do you have a plan? No answer.

Erol enters the room with news. Demir has been trafficking drugs and weapons through the port of Mersin. We’ve been looking for his supplier for a long time. We found him and got him to talk. He told us merch was loaded on Yonca Hospital trucks at Mersin and they are on the road. We think they will enter Mardin around 9 tonight. Wait, Kaya asks, are we going after Demir’s truck? Aynen öyle, Cihan replies. Kaya is totally on board.

#52 part 2

Alya gets another call from Açma. Don’t do this to me, she says and puts her phone away.

Mine approaches Alya. Did you find out about Meryem? Yes, Alya replies. It was a secret, Mine reminds her, but then you told everything. Alya asks, did Cihan say something? Mine accuses Alya of doing this on purpose to distance her from Cihan. Hasn’t he done this already, Alya replies, you’re only hurting yourself. I didn’t tell Cihan, he figured it out himself. You should be more careful, he finds out about everything.

Mine changes tactics. How does it feel to wear a gift around your neck from a man whose heart belongs to someone else? What about it, Alya answers, know what I told Cihan? He was free to have a relationship with whomever he wanted. I don’t know if he’ll come knocking at your door, but maybe you should keep it in mind, Mine, before you open the door for a man whose heart belongs to someone else. You said it yourself. Alya walks away holding her locket.

Cihan calls Sahin. Geçmiş olsun (may it be in the past). Can I see you?. Where? At the company. Sahin agrees. Kaya asks Cihan, what will you do about mom? It’s going to be complicated, Cihan replies.

Alya thinks she’s getting another call from Açma. But it’s Cihan. She thinks something is wrong. Then she tells him she hasnt seen Ugur. If she had, he’d already be there and have a resignation letter ready for her to sign. She says they have a trust problem. He says he’s going to fix it. He’s just calling to see how she is doing. She’s surprised. I’m okay. It doesnt sound like it, he says. Dont worry, she answers, just focus on your business.

That’s impossble, Cihan says, you are my wife and I’m responsible for you. Not to me, she replies, your responsibility is to Boran. He can’t say antything to that. Alya, if there’s something you’re hiding from me, I need to know. There’s nothing, she says, you’re the one who hides things. She hangs up.

They cut Sahin’s arrival. He’s welcomed properly by Muzzafer and Kadir. He goes up to meet with Cihan and Kaya. Cihan extends his hand and Sahin takes it. Hoşgeldin, (it’s good you came, welcome) Cihan says. Hoşbulduk (it’s good I found you, thanks. note it’s polite form), Sahin answers. Kaya greets him, geçmiş olsun. Thank you, Sahin replies. Kaya notes, you saving me made us lose Zerrin. Forgive me. My forgiveness won’t change anything, Sahin replies, we all got what we deserved. Cihan calls them to the table.

What do you want to talk about? Cihan starts, Demir’s been trafficking drugs and heavy weaponry. Your father is his ally. Sahin admits he knows this. Yes, Cihan replies, but now you understand. Sahin sighs, did you call just to talk about the past? Why are you working with Nadim? Cihan says, it’s to prevent him from working against me. Sahin tells him my father is working with Demir to unite forces against you. Why shouldnt he? He wants to reclaim his rights as an Albora.

There’s a difference, Cihan notes, Demir is trafficking drugs and big weapons. Your father and Halis joined him and stand to profit from it. Remember our agreement? The Alboras wouldn’t traffic drugs or weapons. Have you forgotten? Why would you join Demir after what he did, making plans behind your back and betraying you.

Sahin shakes his head. No, i’m not joining him. But I won’t work with you either. My father does dirty things, but he does have a right to Albora lands... and so do I. Cihan answers, I will give you your share. Sahin seems surprised. He tells Cihan that his objective is to lead the Alboras.

#52 part 2

Cihan understands that Sahin will fight for that right. All I ask is for a clean fight, he says. You said you won’t cooperate with Demir, you’ll keep your word? Sahin promises. Cihan adds, if i see you’re mixed up with him, with drugs or weapons, our deal is off. But if not, I’ll give what’s yours. No worries, Sahin replies. Cihan will talk to Erol and they can meet again when everything is ready. There’s a hug goodbye. Cihan says, I entrust you to Allah. Kaya and Sahin shake hands. Sahin says I entrust you to Allah, in return.

Nare arrives at the company as Sahin leaves. What are you doing here, she asks. Sahin looks up at Cihan and Kaya. He tells her Cihan gave him his share of Albora lands. She’s pleasantly surprised and asks, what will you do now? Fight against your brother, he replies, I must carry out my plan. She’s not so happy now. He asks her why she’s there. I have to fix something, she answers. I hope you’ll be very happy with this course of action, but Cihan is the leader of the Alboras, that won’t change until he dies. [I never like to hear this in a dizi.] Nobody can change that, not even you.

Alya talks to the forbidden Ugur in the cafeteria. I wanted to speak with you about something you said yesterday. You said by protecting my son, I ended up dragging him deeper into the abyss. He asks, do you want to remain married to Cihan Albora? She replies, what does that have to do with this? It’s important, he says, Cihan is the abyss and if you stay married, the abyss will swallow you.

Alya answers, you’re saying this because you’re angry at Cihan. I don’t expect you to understand our relationship. [I had a chuckle at this comment. She doesn’t even understand.] My decisions are mine and no one else’s. One thing I don’t like is the two of you interfering in my private affairs.

Ugur leans in, why do you think I do that? Let me answer—do you believe that Cihan thinks I have feelings for you? She looks down and doesn’t answer. He tries again—does he think I’m interested in you? Again, no verbal answer. Ugur asks, do you agree with him? She looks down, no answer. Okay, then, ask me, he says. She shakes her head. Your response is no concern of mine. I don’t care. You are a talented, experienced doctor. I’d like for us to remain colleagues and nothing more. Thank you. And on that note, she leaves.

Ecmel calls Sahin. Is what I heard true? Cihan is giving us land? Sahin confirms. Ecmel smiles, how did you convince him? Well done. Come tomorrow, we’ll talk. Sahin tells him he’s not going to smuggle merch. Ecmel stops smiling. He demands that Sahin come. Sahin says he won’t change his mind. Ecmel hangs up.

Alya arrives home and there is Cihan standing near the konak entrance waiting for her. I was told you met with Ugur and talked to him for a long time. What did you talk about? Alya is ticked, we agreed I wouldn’t mess with you. Whether you look for true love or call the woman next door, I don’t care, do what you want. All I ask is you stay out of my life. Cihan replies, I asked you to stay away from that guy until he leaves. Until he leaves? He’s not going anywhere, Alya says, you tried and failed.

Alya continues, I spoke with Ugur and if he’s having those stupid thoughts that you accused him of, I told him in the nicest way possible I only see him as a work colleague and nothing more. Cihan nods, so you are admitting he likes you? I rejected him, Alya replies, he’s going to stay away from me. Did he say that, Cihan asks, I want to hear him say that and then I want him to leave.

Alya gets another Açma call. Cihan grabs her phone—why don’t you answer? She demands he give back the phone. He wants an answer. What do you care, she says. She grabs the phone and hurries away.

#52 part 3

That evening, Sada rips into Cihan for splitting the Albora land. It will not be divided! All of the Albora ancestors, your father’s father, like your father, Azem Albora… Do you know how much blood the Albora tribe shed for a handful of this land? But you sold it to those traitors, sitting at a table… those centipedes, those snakes.

Cihan can’t get a word in edgewise. Sada continues, this is not over. How could you make such an important decision without consulting me first? You’ve always been my biggest supporter, my rock, my refuge. Did I raise you like this? Shame on you. She tells Kaya he should be ashamed, too. I assure you, your father is turning in his grave. Our land can’t be split up!

I know, Cihan replies, but part of the land is rightfully his. You are the leader of the clan, Sada states, the land is yours alone. I gave him what is right, Cihan replies, but the land is still Albora territory. Sharing some won’t weaken my power. It’s a mistake, Sada says, people will talk about how weak you are. Sada puts her hand on her head. Alya looks concerned for her.

Sada warns, they are like maggots. Once they get their teeth in something, they won’t stop. You will regret this. No one will support you. You have ruined the Albora legacy. Sada faints into Cihan’s arms. The family helps Sada to her room.

Alya tells the family it was low blood pressure. Meds will bring it up. She’s sleeping and Ummu is staying with her. Nare says she will stay with her mom tonight. Alya advises that Sada get check by a cardiologist. [Ugur?] Alya goes to check on Deniz.

Cihan says he expected this. Nare goes to her mother. Kaya says the men are waiting for Demir’s truck. They cut the part where Kaya tells Cihan to stay behind with Sada.

Alya calls Açma. Why are you calling? I told you not to call me. I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to hear what you have to say. I’m going to block your number and delete it. Stop contacting me. Cihan enters the bedroom. [Did he hear anything?] He asks if Deniz is okay. Alya says he’s fine and is watching a movie with Pakize. It’s a bit awkward. Alya excuses herself to use the bathroom. She blocks and deletes the phone number.

Alya tells Cihan he did the right thing about giving the land to Sahin. Tell that to my mother, Cihan jokes. She asks, do you think that giving the land to Sahin makes you weaker? He answers, if Sahin becomes stronger, then yes. And yet you did it, she notes. She asks, did you do it because he saved Kaya’s life? We don’t hear an answer. There was an edit. Deniz comes running into the room. Too bad, it’s a cute scene. I would give details, but I want to finish this recap before midnight.

Cihan calls for an update on the operation. The truck should arrive in a half hour. We see our guys have blocked the road with a bulldozer.

Demir gets an update from his truck. We’re almost there, Demir Bey. About a half hour. Demir says to notify him when they reach the warehouse.

The truck reaches the roadblock. Our guys jump out with guns and force the drivers out of the truck.

Deniz and Alya fell asleep on Cihan’s side of the bedroom. He walks in and watches them sleep for a moment. He whispers, Alya… Alya… She stirs. Alya, you fell asleep. Cihan says he’ll take Deniz. Alya gets up but she leaves her phone on the couch. Cihan places Deniz in the bed and says goodnight. Alya is so tired, she sleeps in her clothes.

Muzzafer calls Cihan. We got the truck. Cihan sees Alya’s phone on the couch. He tells Muzzafer to bring the truck to the warehouse.

#52 part 4

Cihan picks up Alya’s phone. He turns it on. Darn, he doesn’t know the pin. He enters the bedroom. He stands by the bed and looks at the phone again. Alya starts talking in her sleep. No…no… don’t let me go. Don’t let go, son. Cihan wakes her up. She startles. He tells her she was dreaming. She turns to check on Deniz. He pours a glass of water for her.

Demir comes to Albora Group in the morning. Where’s my truck? Where’s my merch? Don’t panic, Cihan says, sit and relax. Where is it? I’ll give it back on one condition, Cihan replies. He smiles but we don’t hear the condition.

Alya is at work. Ugur comes to see her. Congratulations, Alya. You’ve got an amazing husband. She has no idea what he’s talking about. Ugur says he was forced to leave the hospital. He’s been fired and Cihan will pay dearly. He leaves. I assume Alya tries calling Cihan but there’s no answer. She leaves her office. Mine sees Alya leaving and follows.

Alya goes to the chief physician’s office. She wastes no time. Shouldn’t you be running this hospital based on the welfare of our patients and employees? How could you do this? How could you give into pressure, and fire a doctor as experienced as Ugur? I don’t understand.

Mine listens by the door. The chief explains, there was nothing I could do. What are you talking about, she asks. The hospital is under new ownership, he replies, Demir Baybars sold his shares to Cihan Albora. The decision to fire Ugur Kilinc was Cihan’s. Even my future is at risk now. [ain’t that a kick in the pants.] Mine scurries away.

Alya calls Cihan. How could you buy the hospital just to fire Ugur? I did it for you too, Cihan replies, you couldn’t keep working for Demir. She can’t believe it. What can’t you believe, he says, now you have a nice comfortable place to yourself. Enjoy it and work in peace.

You didn’t have to fire him, Alya says. Of course I did, Cihan answers, he didn’t stay away from you, and he has to face the consequences. I told you I talked to him, she says, besides I don’t have feelings for him. Bring him back to the hospital. Cihan says he can’t. Alya says she has to go. Where are you going, he asks, don’t you have to work because your patients need you? Don’t give me the wrong idea. Don’t let me make assumptions. They go back and forth until Cihan hangs up.

And we are out.

Thanks so much, dondi. I really look forward to your recaps because you always clarify at least one thing I couldn't quite grasp. Other days of the week I back up and listen over and over until it becomes clear. But on Fridays, I just enjoy watching, confident I'll be better informed on Saturday. You're a real time saver!

Wow. That Ecmel actor surely has range. I've seen him, I believe, in two other dizis where he's played kindly older men. I can't remember which ones. Googling it does me no good because I don't know the Turkish names of the ones I've seen dubbed in Spanish.

Thanks for the text translate. Of course we'd never be able to read them in dizis, but plot points moving forward by means of showing the actors texting DRIVES ME NUTS. I think it's a combination of a not that huge flat screen that fits in my pine entertainment center and probably needing new glasses. But, if I have to know, I must stop the recording, jump off the sofa, get very close and then run the scene again.

Mine, pfft. I am really, really tired of her. I enjoyed Alya turning the tables on her snark about wearing a gift from a man whose heart belongs to someone else, i.e., don't answer the door to a man whose heart belongs to someone else. By the way, does Mine ever do a lick of work at Yonca?

It was clever the way the writers just let Demir rant about getting his merch back, and Cihan saying under one condition. I would have preferred that he kept it to perhaps slow Demir down a bit, but Cihan, while not admitting it, is very jealous of Ugur's interest in Alya. But I fear there's another shoe to drop there, as much as I'd like to see the last of Ugur.

I'm wondering if the calls Alya was getting were from Demir. It took a minute of trying,, but I remembered Demir kidnapping Alya and Deniz. So, she might be frightened if he's calling her.
