We currently have three recappers and we post them on the episodes of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. I realize the series is almost over. But I have the sense that people fear saying anything on Mondays and Thursdays because a recap might appear. I think we should not worry about this. If you've watched an episode and have an insight or, especially regarding Sadakat, are in a state of outrage, go ahead and say something.
Okay - brief recap of Monday Feb 2.
Halis, hiding out, was found. All the men rushed there. Hasan told Fike where. She broke into the gun cabinet grabbed a gun and went there. A henchie told Alya where and she went too. Fike, fulfilling her obvious purpose, took a bullet from Halis while protecting Alya. Cihan arrived and shot Halis. Fike and Halis died. Fike and Alya had a touching conversation while Fike was dying, while Cihan listened. Later C and A declared they could rely on each other whatever happens. All but, but not quite, declaring their love.
Nare asked Cihan if Mine could be pregnant. He denied it, surprised. But obviously knew it was possible. He had at least two chances to tell Alya about the possibility, but did not. (Lying by omission, Cihan.) He confronted Mine in the hospital, but Mine denied being pregnant, on orders from Sadakat. Cihan wasn't totally convinced, but told Nare that they would soon see.
Nare told Ozcan that she was grateful for her life.
Fidan stopped by Sada's konak to tell S that Zerrin was pregnant with Demir's baby. "Keep Kaya away from Z." Kaya showed up st the university to ask Zerrin the truth about the father of her baby. Zerrin's response will be tomorrow.
Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Here's my super-short recap of last night's episode:
*Margarita gets rescued & we see Lizzie stabbing Jaguar to death FINALLY.
*Law enforcement agencies arrive at the Old Goat's house including that Annoying TV News Reporter OMG.
*Standoff between Hothead Diana vs La Mamba continues.
*Crazy Vic & Ofelia hiding from Slippery Tibiero, who intends on killing them; I see only Ofelia dying here at this point.
*Ulysses back into the fold somewhat during one of their meetings or whatever they called it.
*Isidro & Isabel escape from her father's house; getting on the private plane & fly somewhere. Something tells me General Cifuentes is going to go off in 84, 83 when he finds out...
I was very sad when Fiko died. I thought she would succumb to her illness, so the sudden death shook me. It was, in a sense, fulfilling her purpose as she got rid of Halis and saved Alya so I agree with Anastasia.
I’m starting to almost like Fidan. (I must be crazy!) She is over the top but she has more heart than cruel Sadakat. Fidan kind of makes me laugh, whereas Sadakat always makes me angry.
Nice for Ozkan that Nare thanked him but time for him to leave one way or another.
Alya snd Cihan are drawing closer. But the Mine thing is a problem. I was reassured when he said he would provide for the kid if she is pregnant but not form a family with her.
Babachita
Thank you, Anastasia.
Ah, Fiko, mekanı cennet olsun. Sad, she left so soon. They could have created more of a story for her. But I guess she did her job by revealing Alya’s backstory and moving Boran’s plot forward.
CihAl are getting closer to admitting their feelings to one another. But it’s so frustrating to watch.
I have no doubt that Cihan would provide for his child regardless of gender. Just as Kaya needs Zerrin’s baby to be his, Cihan needs to think Mine is not pregnant.
ITA about Fidan, Babachita. You’re not crazy. I’d rather watch her than Sadakat.
Ok, two gripes. 1. At one point I had started to think Fiko was a part of the plan with Halis & just wanted to keep him quiet, but then she started liking Cihan for Alya. WHY did she feel she needed to suddenly go to the showdown? 2. Mine. The pout! And in all my years as a nurse I never saw Hospital Administration roaming the halls of the hospital or standing at the Station reviewing paperwork.
Then, my beanie is pretty tight to believe she’s 8 weeks along. This makes Cihan’s behavior with her more current than we thought. 12 weeks I’d buy, 8 weeks weakens Cihan.
Ok rant over, thank you for listening. SaraAnne
I thought that little spat between Sada and Fidan was hilarious. Here are two women that have both credibly threatened to kill people and they’re yelling at each other like toddlers. Or sisters. Both?
QEPD, Fiko.
K
Hi SaraAnne, once Fiko got the confirmation that she (unwittingly) gave the info that led to Boran’s murder she was horrified. So she set out to atone and get revenge by killing Halis. ITA about Mine constantly roaming the halls. Time is nebulous in these shows. The end is coming next week. I hope your beanie holds up.
lol, K!
I like Fidan too! She genuinely loves her children. She is terrified that Sahin will get killed, and felt horrible about urging Zerin to marry Demir. Compare to Sadakat who shows her children zero affection and has zero concern for their happiness.
I always love the yelling scenes between Sadakat and Fidan. This time, though I was worried. Fidan was standing at the top of the stairs, a place any savvy TN character knows you don’t stand. I was waiting for her to fall down them, or get pushed, but whew, that didn’t happen.
I was really sad that Fiko died. I loved how she stood up to Sadakat. Like so many about-to-die TN characters, she was perfectly lucid and got to say her last words. She said the quiet thing out loud – that Cihan and Alya love each other, and they were both right there, hearing her.
Sara Ann – I too have wondered about Mine wandering the halls, and also have wondered why, if she is an administrator, does she walk so tentatively?
Also, she and Alya need more biscuits. They both look great in their outfits, but they’re way too thin. And what’s with Alya walking the hospital halls in stilettos? Hospital staff usually wear comfy ground-grabbers.
Thanks for the excellent brief recap, Anastasia. Yes, according to some law that TNs and dizis seem to obey, Fikriye had her purpose, to atone for Boran's death by saving Alya. I was very touched by Alya's grief and a bit of guilt for all those years blaming Fiko for her childhood. Cihan was perfect, getting into the car, listening, and IIRC saying something about not blaming herself for the lost years.
I know, I know, they do it in TNs also, but it drives me nuts how Sadakat is always one step ahead of everyone. Mine might have been shocked into telling the truth about her pregnancy, but Sada called before Cihan could confront her.
SaraAnne, welcome. If you've commented before, I don't recall it. Maybe you'll join us on the Poder y Traición patio once this dizi is over (next week).
Also very sad about Fiko. I had already written a script in my head where she falls for Hasan and is around to be the "good granny". They haven't shown anything like that but I suspect the kid soured on the other granny seeing his mother thrown out.
Maggie, good one about TN characters at the top of a flight of stairs. It's either a way to kill someone off or to terminate the pregnancy of the "other woman". But said "other woman" then pads her stomach to fool the galán for a few more weeks of the show.
Dondi, I am also frustrated by Cihan and Alya always on the verge of kissing or saying how they feel, y nada. Dondi, if you play Spelling Bee, you've probably noticed that some Spanish has crept in. Both loco and chica have recently been one of the words.
I'm wondering if the writers are going with a change of personality for Ozkan. The scene they showed with Nare didn't give us much of a clue as to whether he's still insisting on staying married to Nare.
Novelera, you said that if we are in a state of outrage, we should express it. Of course, we are outraged with Sadakat. Even Cihan is outraged with her. But I am outraged with Cihan for not mentioning Mine's possible pregnancy to Alta. And once it was confirmed, he really should have told Alya. She will be more outraged herself that Cihan didn't tell her when he found out, than the fact of the baby. Cihan is not trusting Alya or acting like a partner. Not in his culture, of course. And since Mine is in the hospital, in her department, Alya will find out.
Dondi356, Kat in SC, Halimacandy, Novelera, Susan, Anastasia & Co: We're still in Ultimos Capitulos & here's a very short recap of last night's episode.
*Hothead Diana & Crazy Lucy get into a confrontation. Let's just say punches are thrown & it's bloody.
*General Cifuentes continues escalating his sinister schemes in toppling the Casillas family altogether & it looks like the next target will be Annoying Laura.
*Leo & LaMamba are going to Leo & LaMamba.
*Isidro & Isabel spending some time together, but I've got a feeling there's going to be more roadblocks.
*The Annoying TV News Reporter is still an uppity piece of crap.
*Crazy Vic & Ofelia went to the airport & both are heading somewhere, not sure about the destination though.
*Wondering if Hothead Diana will actually pull the trigger & shoot Crazy Lucy ? I doubt it.
Episode 69 #1
Lejos de ti – Far Away – Uzak Sehir
Cansado de tanta mentira – Tired of so many lies
Kaya and Zerrin
Still discussing if he’s the father of her baby, although she claims it to be Demir’s.
Kaya: I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me. Is Demir the father? Look at me and tell me. Tell me to my face. Is the baby his?
Zerrin looks him in the eyes (somewhat wobblily) and says: Demir is my child’s father.
Kaya reacts with a scream: Zerrin! Listen I swear I’ll do everything I said I’d never do. I will forget you, Zerrin. I’ll tear you out of my heart and marry someone else. I swear I’ll get you out of my head.
Zerrin: Then do it. Your mother’s looking for someone for you, isn’t she? Get married.
Kaya: Zerrin!
Zerrin: If this baby were yours, would it survive? Would they let it live? Of course not. I’d have been forced to get an abortion right away. We were never going to be together or raise a child. So, don’t worry, the baby I’m expecting is Demir’s, not yours. Now leave. Marry whomever you want.
Kaya: I promise I will.
Zerrin: I don’t care.
We can see Demir watching them from the other side of his vehicle.
Lots of birdsong on the porch at the Albora konak.
Cihan: What is it?
Sadakat, pointing that finger at Kaya: He’s a disgrace. He had relations with Zerrin.
Kaya: My brother already knew that.
Sadakat: You knew, Cihan? (He nods his head.) So, I’m the only one who didn’t know?
Kaya: I was going to marry her.
Cihan: This isn’t a topic of conversation, Mom. We’ll talk about it later.
Sadakat: Of course it’s a topic of conversation. Zerrin is pregnant. (Cihan looks at Kaya. Alya and Nare look down.) Your brother asked Zerrin if the baby was his. Fidan came here and filled me in on everything. I’m going to find you a woman, and, like it or not, you will get married.
Cihan: Is the baby yours?
Sadakat: No, luckily. She told him to his face that the child’s father is that idiot Demir. So, he needs to get married. He has no other choice.
Kaya slams the table: I will get married, Mom.
Everyone talks at once.
Sadakat: I congratulate you, son.
Everyone continues to talk about what Kaya should do.
Sadakat: I will organize an incredible wedding for my son.
Cihan: It’s not that simple, Mom. You can’t just make a decision like that. You need to talk about it. You’re upset and not thinking clearly. (This last is to Kaya.)
Sadakat: Stay out of it. Your brother made his decision, so stop confusing him.
Nare: First, calm down, Kaya.
Cihan: Kaya, it’s not that simple. Trust me, I know what I’m talking about. Don’t do it.
Kaya: So, what do I do? What else can I do, Cihan? Zerrin married that idiot Demir and they’re having a baby. It isn’t mine, Cihan. What can I do?
Alya: Will getting married help you forget? No, it won’t. Only time can do that, so give yourself time to heal. You’d be making a big mistake, in addition to ruining that young girl’s life. Stop this.
Cihan: Kaya, Mom won’t let you marry just anyone. She’d choose a girl from a good family and bring her here to place before you. Once you get married, there’d be no turning back. This isn’t a game, brother. Remember what happened to Mahmut? Blood was spilled over that, brother. You think it was easy to deal with that? We barely managed to contain them. Don’t do anything you’re going to regret. This isn’t that simple.
Kaya: I will not give up.

Episode 69 #2
Up in their suite, Cihan and Alya bid each other good night.
Alya: Cihan, I’d like to show you something.
Alya gets something from a drawer: I found this in my mother’s room.
Cihan: What are they?
Alya: They are theater tickets to an open-air theater in Mardin.
Cihan: That’s a beautiful place. Did she go see a movie?
Alya: No, it’s coming up.
Cihan: Oh, it’s this weekend. Two tickets.
Alya: They’re for us, Cihan. (She shows him the envelope with “Alya and her husband” written on the front.)
Cihan: Then we have to go.
Alya: She never gave them to me. I found them.
Cihan: We have to go.
Alya: You mean that?
Cihan: Uh-huh, and she’ll be there with us.
Alya: Then I guess we’re going.
Alya reaches for them, but Cihan tells her he will hold on to them.
She agrees and they smile at one another.
Cihan: Get some rest.
Alya: You too. Thank you. (They smile at one another as he closes the door slowly.)
Next day, we see Alya walking Deniz into breakfast. They greet everyone.
Sadakat goes on and on about him being her favorite, the prince, and how much he has grown, etc., etc.: In the end, people resemble the family with who they live.
Alya mumbles: Great way to start the day.
Cihan: Cut it out, Mother. Every meal is the same thing. You ruin our appetites.
Sadakat: What happened with this Hamada fellow? Is he still in Syria?
Kaya: That’s right. He’s in Syria.
Cihan: Shhhh!
Sadakat to Kaya: I found a girl for you. You’ll meet her soon. She’s Semkanli’s daughter. She’s come of age, and I’m going to see her as well as Karanlik’s daughter. They say she’s pretty so I’m going to see her. We should learn about her roots. That’s very important, son.
She is staring at Alya while she’s saying this part.
Everyone looks at one another at the table, probably losing their appetites.
On the konak patio, Nare and Sadakat are enjoying tea. Nare gets a call from the hospital.
The caller tells her something that upsets her and she says she will be there right away.
Sadakat: What happened, Nare?
Nare: Ozkan, he’s got another blood clot. The right side of his body is paralyzed.
Cihan gets a call from Nare while he and Alya are in the car. She tells him the news. He tells her they are on their way to the hospital and to try and stay calm. After hanging up, he gives Alya the news about Ozkan.
At the hospital, the family (including Sadakat) arrive at his room.
Alya: Be strong, Nare. That’s what he needs right now. Go inside and see him.
Nare goes into the room. Ozkan lies with obvious damage to one side of his body.
Ozkan, with difficulty: He tells her not to cry. I don’t know why you are here. When I was fine, you wouldn’t look at me.
Nare: I’m sorry, Ozkan.
Outside Demir’s konak, some baby furniture is taken inside.
Demir, to himself: Now what did you buy, Demir?
His father comes up to him: You think you’re Kaya’s bastard’s father? What are you up to? What are your intentions?
Demir: Now what’s your problem? You’re upset that a bastard might be worth more than you?
Babachita
Episode 69 #3
Back at the hospital, Ozkan is still trying to speak. He tells Nare to go be with Sahin.
Nare: I can’t, Ozkan. I can’t abandon you. I owe you my life. I’m here out of gratitude. I’ll stay and pay the price, whatever it is. I promise. But I won’t leave. I’m staying with you and not turning my back on you. I chose to marry you, and when you’re discharged from the hospital, I swear I’ll be by your side and return home with you, OK? [All this is very nice, I think, but wasn’t he physically abusive to Nare? Didn’t she have bruises? Does he deserve her giving up her future? Just saying…]
Nare leaves the room. Sahin has joined the group waiting outside.
Nare: I’m going home with him when he is discharged.
Sahin is very impactado.
Back to Demir’s konak:
Nadim: Do you think Kaya will let Zerrin stay here when he discovers the truth? You think they won’t do anything? Are you going to raise that child out of spite? Is that your plan?
Demir: Why are you so scared of them?
Nadim: I am not scared, Demir!
Demir: Of course you are. You were once his enemy, and then you lowered your guard and became their ally. Why?
Nadim: Why do you think? For my own good, obviously.
Zerrin approaches and listens without them seeing her.
Demir: We both know you did something terrible and to disguise it, you scurried away like a coward. I think it was you who killed Boran.
Zerrin is very impactada at hearing this from her hiding place.
Nadim: That’s nonsense, Demir. What are you talking about this time?
Demir: Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten that night. Halis and Ecmel told you that night where Boran was. But you denied it.
Nadim: That’s stupid.
Demir: If you were a man, you’d admit it, but clearly, you are not. You’re a chicken. Perhaps Ecmel finished the job. I’m certain that at least one of you did something very bad.
Nadim: Stop saying things like that, Demir.
Demir: Then stop pretending you don’t know.
Nadim leaves, Zerrin flattening herself into the wall so he doesn’t see her.
In the hospital cafeteria, Nare and Sahin sit at a table.
Sahin: I wanted him to recover, Nare. I thought that way he’d let you go and that there’d be a future for us.
Nare: I thought that, too. But unfortunately, life doesn’t let us choose the person we love. I love you so much, Sahin. You don’t know how much. But, for now, my duty is to be with him. I have to be by his side.
Sahin gets a phone call. It’s from Zerrin.
Zerrin: They lied to you, brother. Nadim and my father knew where Boran was. They totally knew.
Sahin: What are you saying, Zerrin?
Nare: What’s the matter? Is something wrong with Zerrin?
Kaya is close by and watching this.
Zerrin: Sahin, Dad couldn’t have killed him, right? Please tell me it was Nadim.
Sahin: I’m headed over. Wait there.
Nare: Is there a problem with Zerrin? (Sahin leaves.)
Kaya joins her: Nare, what did he say? Did something happen to Zerrin?
Nare: I don’t know but you stay out of it.
Kaya takes off, of course.
Nare rushes back inside to Alya and Cihan waiting outside Ozkan’s room.
Cihan: What happened?
Nare: I still don’t know. Zerrin called Sahin and Kaya went after him. I couldn’t stop them. I think something bad happened.
Cihan leaves, telling Nare and Alya to wait there.

Episode 69 #4
At Demir’s konak, Sahin drives up fast. Nadim is there.
Sahin: You killed Boran, right?
Nadim: What are you talking about? Who told you that?
Kaya holds a gun to Nadim’s head and says: You killed him, didn’t you? You killed my brother, Boran.
Nadim: It wasn’t me.
Zerrin comes running down those stairs, Sahin pulls her behind him.
Zerrin: I heard him talking to Demir. He knew where Boran was.
Nadim: It’s not true.
Demir comes down those stairs as a henchie holds a gun at Sahin and orders: Put the gun down. Do it!
Demir also tells Sahin to lower his gun.
Kaya: Put yours down or I’ll blast his brains out.
Kaya to Nadim: Start talking.
Nadim: No, No!
Kaya: Talk, dammit.
Up drives Cihan, the voice of reason (we hope), followed by his two guys.
Kaya: Confess or I’ll shoot.
Cihan runs to join them. He tries to get Kaya to lower his gun. Demir won’t lower his until Kaya does.
Kaya: He’s lying, listen to me.
Cihan: Put it down. I know, but put the gun down. Let’s talk. Sahin won’t put his down, either.
Cihan in a very serious voice: Put the gun down, Kaya. Do it now.
Someone tells Demir to put his gun down.
Kaya makes a very angry face and finally tosses Nadim aside and lowers his gun.
Kaya: They’re lying to us, brother. He lied to our faces.
Cihan: We’ll discuss this at home.
Kaya: He’s lying. Halis told him. He told Nadim too. Zerrin heard him.
Zerrin backs him up.
Kaya: Nadim knew where my brother was too. He lied to us.
Cihan turns toward Nadim with a very angry face.
Nadim: I swear I have nothing to do with this, Cihan.
Cihan grabs his face and takes out his gun, throwing him on the car hood. Everyone with a gun has it out now.
Cihan: I’m tired of all of you lying to me. Who should I believe? Tell me what happened right now, you killed him.
His eyes are flashing with anger!
Nadim: Wait, let go of me.
Cihan: Somebody tell me or I’ll kill him.
Demir: Cihan, stop, or I swear I’ll shoot.
Kaya tells Demir to lower his gun.
Cihan hits the car hood: Tell me if it was you!
Nadim: Wait, let go of me.
Cihan tells Demir that he killed Boran.
Nadim keeps saying he didn’t.
Demir shoots at Cihan. Someone shoots Demir in the arm. Bullets are flying. Cihan takes cover beside a truck, still holding Nadim.
Nadim: Cihan, I didn’t kill Boran, you have to believe me.
Cihan: Tell me, we’re running out of time. Stop lying or I swear I’ll kill you.
Nadim: It wasn’t me. It was Halis or Ecmel. I didn’t do it, I swear.
Cihan: But you helped them. Did you help them?
Muzaffer comes to tell Cihan they need to leave.
Cihan: I’m not leaving! Did you work together? Tell me the truth!
Reinforcements arrive for Demir, and Muzaffer gets Cihan out of there. Lots of bullet holes in cars. Sahin takes Kaya’s car. Apparently, Zerrin is inside.
Demir realizes this and shoots toward Cihan.

Episode 69 #5
Nadim is still behind the truck, looking muy impactado.
As the cars drive off, Demir hollers: Zerrin (and looks at his bloody hand).
Back at the Albora konak in the living/dining area.
Alya: Soon you won’t feel anything. It’ll sting a bit, but that’ll be all, Cihan.
Cihan: Why did you numb it? You’re not removing a bullet. I thought your hands were steady.
Sadakat: This is no time to be joking, Cihan.
Alya: I’m with your mother on this, believe it or not.
Nare: So, Halis was right. Nadim and Ecmel knew where my brother was.
Cihan: I had a feeling. (He pauses to ask Alya): What are you doing? That hurt! (She appears to be making some stitches.)
Alya: Why are you complaining? I’m not removing a bullet.
Sadakat: What did they say?
Kaya: Nadim says it wasn’t him, but he also said he didn’t know where Boran was.
Nare: Could it have been Demir? Maybe he lost his mind for no reason.
Sadakat: No, it wasn’t him. I know it. I know I suspected the Baybars at first, but it wasn’t them. I think it was Ecmel. Thankfully nothing happened. Zerrin and Sahin are that murderer’s children. I’m so happy you got away from them.
Cihan: Hamada. Looks like we need to find him and force him to talk.
At the Midyat prison, we see Ecmel with visitors, Fidan, Sahin, and Zerrin.
Sahin: Papa, did you kill Boran? Please tell us.
Fidan: He says he didn’t son, now stop it.
Sahin: Quiet Mom. Let him answer.
Sahin: Did you do it? Tell me?
Ecmel: How many times must I tell you? Nadim’s lying.
Zerrin: Oh, Dad, I overheard them today. Halis told you where Boran was.
Ecmel: Halis might have told Nadim, but I wasn’t there. Maybe Nadim wanted revenge. If that was his plan, the fool will try to blame me for everything. That infeliz always blames others for the stupid things he does.
Fidan: I hate how much hate there is. [I love that statement by Fidan!] Before you go, your father gave me good news, but after this, everything’s been ruined.
Sahin: What news?
Fidan: There’s hope that your father will be released from prison.
Zerin: What?
Ecmel: I just spoke to my lawyer. Remember my petition to be released on parole? I was just accepted, but I told the lawyer that nobody could find out. It’s been signed and it’s confidential. Nobody outside this family can know. I don’t want enemies at my door. If everything works out, I’ll be released without a problem. You must support me. (Sahin doesn’t look overjoyed at this news.)
Alya is sitting in Cihan’s side of the suite. Cihan enters, knocking.
Cihan: A guest. And since you’re a guest, I’m sorry I have nothing to offer you. Will you speak to me, Alya? Should I be scared?
She whips her head around at this: I don’t know. You tell me. Are you going to turn this around on me again? So, you suspect that man, and in one second, you set off a deadly fight between you. I swear I don’t get it. Why must it always come to that with you?
Cihan: Alya, we’re talking about my brother’s murderers. It’s a big deal, Alya. The man lied to my face. If I don’t do anything about it, who will? How can you expect me to be calm in this situation?
Babachita
Episode 69 #6
Alya: And what happens when you go to jail? You’d only been away for one day and your mother ended up throwing me out. Now she’s trying to take my son. And when she has the opportunity, she’ll take him and kick me out of this house. You think I’d let that happen? I’ll do what you said and burn this whole place down. Albora will be in flames.
Cihan: I won’t continue.
Alya: You’ll finish the job, so you don’t have to continue, and that man you kill won’t have people who’ll want revenge, right? My mother died in my arms yesterday, Cihan. She was holding a gun so she could get revenge against that man. She died just as I admitted how much I loved her. And then I lost her. You heard what she said, right? “Don’t wait to love, Alya.” She said it because I waited a long time to tell her how much I loved her. And then you show up here with a gunshot wound to your arm. What if you’d died? Is this the life we‘re going to live? You think we deserve this?
There is a knock on the door.
Cihan goes to answer. It’s Muzaffer: Sahin is here and wants to talk to you.
Cihan agrees. He meets Sahin down on the driveway: What do you want?
Sahin: My sister and I visited my father. He said it wasn’t him.
Kaya: Do you believe him?
Sahin: Nadim was in the middle of a bloody dispute. It wouldn’t surprise me if he were responsible. I’d like to believe that he or Halis did it. It’s hard for me to believe that my father would kill his nephew. Neither Zerrin nor I think he did it, but he’s still a suspect. The truth will come to light at some point. So, I’d like to help you.
Cihan: Deal.
At Fidan’s konak, Zerrin is removing a tablecloth from an outdoor table. Fidan tells her to give it to her and she will put it in the washer.
In walks Demir, and Fidan welcomes him: I hope your hand is alright.
Demir: Yes, it’s fine. It’ll heal. I’m here for my wife.
Sahin comes in: She’s not leaving. She’s staying here.
Demir: Sahin she is my wife and her place is by my side.
Sahin: I’m supposed to send my sister with the people who killed Boran?
Demir: Don’t forget your father. What if he killed him? What’ll you do then? Let’s go, Zerrin.
Zerrin: No, I don’t want to.
Sahin: You heard her. She doesn’t want to, now go.
Demir: Zerrin, did you forget our deal? Your mother was a witness. I saved Sahin and you gave me your word and you signed, which means we are married. Perhaps you don’t want to. But I do, and I will not get divorced.
Sahin reaches toward Demir. Fidan tries to restrain him. Both women get between them.
Don’t talk to her like that.
Zerrin to Sahin: Let me talk to him, brother.
Sahin: You’re a desgraciado.
Demir walks away and signals for Zerrin to follow him. She does.
Zerrin: Demir, I’m begging you, leave me alone.
Demir: Never. If you don’t come with me, I’ll tell your father that the baby is Kaya’s. Don’t force me to do that. If you care about that baby, you’ll come with me.
Zerrin: What kind of person are you?
She takes a moment to compose herself and goes to her brother and mother: I changed my mind. I’m leaving.
Sahin: You just exposed Nadim’s lies. What if they try to hurt you?
Demir: That won’t happen. As long as I’m there, nobody will lay a finger on my wife.

Episode 69 #7
Mine is in her apartment making a bed. She experiences some pain and falls to the ground. She crawls to her phone and calls Sadakat: Ma’am, something awful is happening. My baby’s in danger. Please come and help me.
Sadakat: Where are you?
Mine: At home.
Sadakat: Lie down, face up. Don’t worry, I’ll bring help. Now hang up and calm down.
Cihan calls Alya: Doctor, your office is empty and the inspection team is here. They’re asking why it’s empty on your shift. What should I tell them?
Alya grins and replies: Cihan, could you tell them I’m making my rounds.
Cihan: Yes, of course, that’s why you’re not here, but I’m a bit impatient so I suggest you come back soon.
Alya grins and puts away her phone.
She enters her office.
Cihan: You didn’t knock. Wow. You have no manners. That’s going in your record. Minus ten points.
Alya: You’re overreacting, Mr. Cihan. Since I’m here, I’ll present my defense.
Cihan: That’ll make things easier.
Alyka: By the way, I’m also adding an official complaint against you. You’ve been warned.
Cihan: Sure, do it.
Alya: I’ve realized that you always interrupt me during my shift. What are you doing here?
Cihan gets up: I came here to get my arm patched up, You’re going to do it, right?
Alya: I’ll ask the nurses to do it; it’s what they do.
Cihan: Sorry doctor, I didn’t know you didn’t do that.
Alya: Well, you could also choose a life that doesn’t require patching you don’t you think? Cihan: How do I do that, Alya?
Alya: How many times must I tell you? Besides, if I remember correctly, we left the konak without coming to an agreement. You were dying to go to war, and I told you I thought we deserved a different life.
Cihan: The truth is, you were going to say something else. That your mother told you to show me the love you have for me.
Music cranks up (Me esta doliendo).
Alya: That’s right.
Cihan: You said you waited too long to tell your mother how much you loved her.
Alya: That’s true.
Cihan leans forward: I’ve loved people I’ve lost, but you’re right, we’ve waited too long. Alya, I..
Alya leans in: Yes. Tell me.
There’s an inopportune knock on the door, breaking the mood.
A staff member tells her a pregnant woman just arrive I the ER. She has internal bleeding and a low pulse.
Alya: I’ll be right there, thank you. (To Cihan) I have to go.
He agrees.
He stays in the room after she leaves, holding his head in his hand in frustration.
His phone rings.
He answers: Yes, what’s going on? Did something happen with Mine?
The henchie who watches Mine replies: Mine’s being put in an ambulance. Ms .Sadakat is with her.
The ambulance arrives at the ER:
Cihan is watching from the driveway.
They report: She’s bleeding, has low blood pressure, a weak pulse, and she lost consciousness. Possible miscarriage. Cihan watches Mine being taken inside, and Sadakat walks over to join him.

Episosde 69 #8
Cihan: Did you hide that woman’s pregnancy from me, Mom? I asked you. I asked why you were speaking to a woman like Mine and you looked me in the eyes and lied to me. How could you be on her side when she was tryihg to trick me? Aren’t I your son?
Sadakat: She’s carrying your child. I was just protecting my grandchild.
Cihan: Protecting your grandchild? From me? What did you think I’d do when I found out? Kill the baby? Are you so blind that you no longer recognize your own son?
Sadakat: I made a mistake. But that doesn’t matter. Now you know. It is your child. If nothing’s going to change why are you attacking me?
Cihan: Don’t turn this around and stop acting like that. Does she know the gender?
Sadakat: Not yet.
Cihan: It’s too soon. Do you want a boy? You do. That’s why you didn’t tell me. You allied yourself with that woman. If it’s a boy, will you start your war? You wanted to use that child so I’d divorce Alya and end my marriage.
Sadakat: You and she are not together. And you need a son to be your heir.
Cihan: I have a son.
Sadakat: Who is Ecmel’s grandson. That woman doesn’t deserve to be by your side. She is just destroying you bit by bit.
Cihan: You’re the one destroying me. Can’t you see that you set me up? You acted behind my back and took that woman’s side while Alya became the air that I breathe. Mother. I’m so ashamed, Mother. I’m ashamed that you did something like that. I don’t know what to think.
He looks away while Sadakat looks at him.
Alya is walking down the hall with a big smile. She sees the Chemo department has a new sign. Cihan requested that Fiko’s name be given to that department.
Alya lovingly says: Cihan!
Cihan’s waiting outside the examination room where Mine is. Sadakat is also there, but they aren’t standing together.
They will be doing a thorough examination. Sadakat asks if they can determine the gender of the baby. [Man, she never lets up!]
She is told they might be able to tell, but it might not yet. The mother’s health is the priority.
Cihan’s phone rings. It’s Alya.
Alya: I had to step out, and we didn’t get a chance to talk.
Cihan: That’s your job.
Alya: You named the unit in honor of my mother.
Cihan: Yes, I thought she deserved it.
Alya: Thank you so much. I’m very happy. It feels like she never left my side, like she’s still here. I want you to know I really appreciate it, Cihan.
Cihan: Mm-hmm.
Alya: Is everything OK?
Cihan: Yes, I’m just tired.
Alya: Then you should get some sleep then.
Cihan: Alright. Good luck on your shift. Goodnight.
In the examining room, they are doing an ultrasound.
Mine asks about the baby. The doctor tells her the uterine activity has diminished, and the placenta remains in a low position, which means it’s at a delicate stage. So, there’s still a risk Ms. Mine.
Mine: Can you tell the gender?
Cihan looks like a thundercloud waiting outside. The doctor comes out to Sadakat: She’s stable but there’s till risk. She’ll have to be kept under observation for the night.
Sadakat: That’s fine. Do you know the baby’s gender?
Doctor: We saw it, but wouldn’t you like to hear it from the mother?
Cihan: Doctor, tell us.
(But we have to wait)
End of episode 69
Babachita
Babachita- big thanks for all the detail!!
Well both Cihan and Alya are acknowledging how they feel about each other, but Cihan got interrupted before he could say the actual words. Still, they know and that’s the main thing.
Maybe we’ll get an kiss before this ends! Fingers crossed
Maggie
Huh? How did Sada know about Zerrin telling Kaya the baby was not his? And now he needs to get married. I kept expecting Nare to present herself as an abject lesson about what happens when you marry someone you don't love.
It took me a while to remember Mahmut. If I've remembered correctly, he was the guy who was going to kill his own daughter that Cihan rejected as a rent-a-womb.
I wondered if they Superglued Ozkan's mouth in that post-stroke grimace. He seemed to be able to speak OK with it that way.
We've joked for years about Telenovela Transport. We saw it once again when everyone showed up at Casa Baybars for the big shootout. The Cihan actor was very impressive as he seemed consumed with rage at Nadim as he pushed a gun in his face behind the car. I kind of like it when Cihan loses control. I believe Nadim. And Cihan, IIRC, said he didn't think it was Demir. I remember the very first episode where Cihan chased Demir down and was ready to kill him until Nadim intervened.
I so love the teasing between Alya and Cihan. But gah! I've heard of coitus interruptus. Last night we got declaratio de amor interruptus.
Cihan went after his mother more than any other time. Do we think she listened at all?
Thank you Babachita. Your recaps are so complete, I don’t have to check back to the Spanish recording.
novelera, Sada said Fidan told her everything regarding Zerrin’s pregnancy. IIRC, Mahmut was Sedat’s father, the one that Sahin accidentally killed in a struggle. “declaratio de amor interruptus” lol
Sada will never listen to anyone.
Interesting edit: Alya is heating up milk in the kitchen. Cihan walks in. She tells him they need a new dishwasher. The one they have can’t be repaired. He asks her if she wants to come with him to buy one. She says she knows a good place to buy one. They go to an appliance store that was opened by a “female entrepreneur”. Alya met her in the hospital when she came for treatment. Alya makes a point that it’s great to see such a business in Mardin. Cihan agrees.
Alya introduces Cihan to Ayşenur Hanım. He says he’s very pleased to meet a woman who is her own boss. She thanks him and says she became her own boss thanks to the opportunity provided by the “Woman’s Work - Woman’s Power Project.” Alya says it’s nice to see women can standing on their own two feet.
Ayşenur shows them the latest model. It has an automatic door opening feature. Cihan quips to Alya, if our konak door was automatic like this, maybe it wouldn’t have burned. Alya gives him a dirty look.
Mahmut Aga Nalhaloglu was a distinguished looking white-haired community “elder” with the Aga title. His son Sedat tried to harrass Zerrin or worse on her way home from university. IIRC, Demir “promised” Sedat would eventually get her. (I guess that was before Demir was going to marry her.) Sedat was bad news, I think. Mahmut might have been in prison with Ecmel.
The above is from notes I wrote down. Now I’m drawing a complete blank. Sedat was killed by Sahin. “accident”? Maybe not as Sedat had attacked Zerrin, Sahin’s sister.
The girl I remember that was supposed to be a second wife was Zeynep, daughter of Dilaver snd Neriman Keskin. IIRC, Dilaver was so ashamed to take Zeynep back to Diyarbakir that he was going to shoot her. Alya intervened.
But, I don’t recall Mahmut’s fate. And that is what is relevant to Tuesday’s episode. Aaarrrgh!!!

These episodes go by so fast! Never a dull moment! And I also enjoy the private moments between Cihan & Alya. They can still seem sexy together without breaking their rules. But I agree, we need a kiss in there somewhere and make it good! Maybe the season finale. Yes, I’m going to try to watch Poder y Traicion once Lejos is through, but it comes on so late I may have to watch the day after.
Soon will be working on the Lejos recap, but I keep forgetting to post this. I was having a lot of difficulty with incomplete captions, especially on Telemundo. I have DirecTV with an actual satellite on my roof. Kat may have mentioned having such a problem as well.
I think I googled this, but I got a big improvement. I completely unplugged everything, the TV, the box in my entertainment center that is for DirecTV. I let about 10 minutes elapse, and then I plugged it back into the wall. This turned on the power strip inside the entertainment center and rebooted everything. Big improvement. The subtitles are not delayed and are much more complete. My Spanish is good, but I like subtitles in Spanish for the odd word I don't quite grasp.

#70 – Part 1 of 5
No gunfire tonight! But there was a rise in my blood pressure readings due to Level 10 outrage at Sadakat Albora.
First, thanks, Babachita for refreshing my memory about Mahmut, Sedat’s nasty father. I mixed him up with another guy I didn’t like: Dilaver.
We again see Sada sucking up to the obstetrician about the sex of Mine’s baby. Yep, it’s a boy. Soooo much easier for all concerned had it been a girl. Sada, with a BIG smile, tells Cihan she’s going to have a grandson. Cihan with a face of stone, asks the Ob if he can see Mine. Sada tells him not to be hard on her. The Alboras are saved.
Cihan goes in. He says he’s sorry about what happened. He says that he was unjust. Mine’s eyes get big. I underestimated you. I thought you were capable of anything, but I didn’t realize you could lie to me so easily. Or that you could stab me in the back or hit me so low. I asked if you were pregnant, and you said: “No, Cihan.” Her reply is that she’s not the only one good at lying. I also asked you if you were in love with Alya, and you denied it. You also lied. It’s not the same, Mine. If you’re pregnant, I had the right to know, but you preferred to stab me in the back.
You said your marriage was fake. You said you didn’t feel nor would feel anything for her. You married her to protect her. It was all a lie. And I believed you, like a dummy. I believed you. You were the one who got me to wait, postponing everything. [Mine, there was never anything concrete that was being postponed.] You’re responsible. I’m pregnant, and that’s your lesson! The baby in my stomach is a boy. I’ll be giving birth to the Albora heir, okay? Now what will you do? His reply is to ask her what she’s expecting to gain from this. Don’t forget that I have your son in my womb.
If the baby is mine, I don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl, I accept it. But you, Mine, I don’t believe. She replies that she doesn’t think “she’ll” accept it. Mine, you don’t know me well. How sad. I never loved you and, if one day I think of the future, it’s not going to be with just anyone. It will be with a woman that I love. Ironic hand clapping from Mine. She says he admits he loves Alya. Bravo. But I know very well you’re going to lose her. Because just like I lost you, you’ll end up losing her. You are a man condemned to love what you’ve lost, Cihan.
Family meeting sans Alya. Nare asks her mother how she could sink to Mine’s level. How could you betray your son? Kaya asks when she planned to tell Cihan…when the birth certificate was published? Really? Sada: When Alya learns about the pregnancy, she’ll pack her bags and leave.
Cihan: Shut up, mother! Don’t say anything! Don’t make me hate you. Be quiet. Alya isn’t going anywhere. Not because of your disgusting plans and games. Not with all your intrigues, those things that you do behind everyone’s back without caring at all. Sada: And what do you think Alya will do when she learns this? Don’t you think she’ll leave. I’m sure she’ll leave the konak, or aren’t you going to tell her. Listen carefully, mother, don’t meddle in this issue of the baby. Don’t you dare say a single word to Alya about this. There’s one true thing. She’ll hear it from me, not from you. He yells. Do you understand!
Thanks for the info. I stopped watching Poder y tracion until the group restarts after lejos so the lag isn't affecting me currently. I'm not watching any Telemundo shows currently, but I will keep this in mind. The TV I use is older with a Roku device, which is probably 10 years old now so I'm never sure where my issues stem from.
#70 – Part 2 of 5
Just then Alya comes in and says Good Morning. She greets everyone and asks what’s new. She says she was looking for Deniz. Kaya says that he’s outside with Ummu, feeding the geese and looking for vegetables to serve for lunch. Alya leaves. Cihan gives his smirking mother a death stare. Silence!
The next scene looks like it’s in the morning. Alya still has on her jammies. She sensed something was up before, something they didn’t want her to hear. She asks if it’s about Hamada. You must go to Syria and don’t know how to tell me, right? He asks her to sit on the sofa. [It’s no wonder he looks tired. That is more like a loveseat, and he’s been sleeping there for a long time.]
Alya sits and then bursts out: Not tonight! We’re going to the movies. Mom left the tickets as her farewell gift, and I don’t want to waste them. Please. Cihan: OK. It wasn’t important anyway [!!!] She asks if he’s worried about Nare’s decision. Alya says she’ll talk it over with Nare. Once Ozkan recovers, each of them can follow their own path. Cihan: Ojala. I’ll see you tonight. [Alya keeps looking more and more beautiful. Her face sort of glows. Gone is that haunted, trapped look.]
Nare holds Ozkan’s hand in his hospital room and tells him the doctor said that physical therapy and rehab can help him move forward. It will take time, but you will recover. You could go home tomorrow. I’ll go there and prepare your room. Then I’ll come for you. You won’t leave me again. If you’re going to leave to be with Sahin, then don’t come back. Either you are my wife forever or you aren’t my wife. You have to choose. Tell me now.
[The miserable rat is willing to tie a woman who loves someone else to him with guilt.] Nare, of course, says she’ll stay with him. You promise? I promise I’ll be your wife for life. [I’m wishing for a brief one for this waste of space.]
Of course, Sahin is in the corridor. Nare tells him she promised Ozkan she wouldn’t abandon him. She pleads with him, saying he’d been waiting for her for years and needs to move on. You need to be happy. Let me go. Someday you’ll meet the love of your life. If I knew you were happy, I’d feel more at peace. She spots Alya and runs into her arms.
Sadakat calls Mine. Mine says they’ll probably send her home soon. Does Alya know? Sada replies that not yet. I want you to forget what he does. Only concentrate on not losing the baby.
As I already said, Alya looks gorgeous in her yellow suit as she talks with Nare in her office. [However, I do agree with the one who posted here that doctors wear shoes you can stand all day in.] Alya tells Nare that it’s not all over with Sahin, and it won’t be over until we ourselves say it. It seems to you like the end of the road. Your path has only taken a small twist. It may seem dark and full of ups and downs, but we don’t know where we’ll be at the end of the road. We have to resist. Resistance can be our breath. Nare seems comforted. She says it will take a lot of courage, but she’ll try. I have to resist like you have.
#70 – Part 3 of 5
You’ll resist. I believe in you; you’re a very strong woman. Nare tells her to keep fighting, no matter what happens because there are those who need her help. Alya senses something and wonders what Nare thinks she must confront. Nare backs off and hints that it’s the blood feuds.
Alya and Cihan arrive at the outdoor movie venue, the one Fiko bought two tickets for. Alya is delighted. She says you not only get the movie but also the view. Cihan says sometimes dreams like this place happen on the screen.
The nice obstetrician tells Mine that she’s gone over Mine’s results, and the risk of aborting has passed. She stopped bleeding, and the baby is stable. You can leave, if you wish. But you’ll have to be careful, and to rest.
We see some of the movie. Some guapo is talking about overcoming difficulties and becoming a champion. It means to keep running even knowing that one day you’re going to lose. There’s no other way. And, if you don’t have the strength to run, look for hope elsewhere. There’s more, a horserace, but that’ll have to do.
Alya sighs. Ay, mama. She gave me a beautiful gift with this film. Don’t you think it’s lovely what can happen when you don’t give up or when you really love, from the heart? It’s amazing how one can change. Cihan, if only love could win out over everything, don’t you think? Cihan replies that, in real life, you win the battles with something else.
Alya, in real life the winners are those who keep being beaten down but, even so, stay on their feet no matter what. Cihan replies that it’s true because one of those people is sitting beside her. Alya: And you’re right. Perhaps love cannot conquer everything, but in some way show you the path to follow. Cihan: Finally you have to follow your heart. Alya: You said you loved those you’d lost. And then you said that one should not delay in saying what one feels. Then the nurse came in (to tell Alya a woman had complications during birth) and you stopped. What were you going to say?
There were several things, not one especially. OK, I’m listening. I am borne down by a truth that is very heavy on me. [He still doesn’t spit it out!]
They are at home, sitting on the much-despised bed, and she tells him to get it off his chest. He says he found something out last night. I should have known, but they hid it from me. It isn’t something I’d have liked to hear. I thought I’d left my past behind, but there’s a shadow. Alya speaks for Viewerville: ¡Ya habla, Cihan!
#70 – Part 4 of 5
Mine is pregnant. Four months. It’s a boy. They didn’t want me to know until they knew the sex. My mother knew. They both decided to keep quiet. Alya, please say something. Before she can, there’s a knock at the door. It’s Nare, come to say that Mine is here, and Sadakat wants him to come down.
Nare gives Mine a stare as she walks in. Sadakat has the most irritating satisfied smile on her face.
Cihan and Alya come in. Cihan asks what she’s doing there. I have your child in my womb. I came here because everyone should know. Cihan says that they learned that already at the hospital. Why’d you come here in the middle of the night. I came to say that I didn’t become pregnant on my own. You have a responsibility. When Cihan says nothing, Sada interjects that, of course, her son will assume responsibility. This is his konak and the home of his lineage.
Cihan orders her to leave. We’ll discuss this among the family. Sada leaps up. Shameful! This woman has your son in her womb. Are you going to throw her out? You should have thought of that before. This woman will give you an heir, a male child. Sadakat changes tack.
What do you think, Alya? She gets very close. This woman is carrying my son’s child. He’ll finally have a male child. Do you think a woman could remain under the same roof after learning that her husband is having a child with another woman? Do you think your heart and your insides would bear this. You know who ought to leave the konak, right? Tell me, Alya, now you know, I don’t think you’ll stay here. Isn’t that right? You are the one who ought to leave. Long silence. Alya looks over at Cihan.
Señora, I’m not in the mood to argue. I’m tired. You went to the trouble of calling Mine. And she, courteously, came to bring the news. [Love the sarcasm.] But your expectations will be unfulfilled. Because this didn’t surprise me. Cihan already told me of this. So, I’m up to date. I know everything. I’m sorry for you (said to Sada). Mine is pregnant. It’s true. And Cihan ought to respond. As you’ve said, Cihan is not the kind to turn his back. He’ll do what he should. I know it. It’s about an innocent life.
What was your intent? I don’t understand. Let me clear up something. You seem confused. I’ve said it many times, But I’m Cihan’s wife. You said it yourself. “Your husband is expecting the child of another woman.” Cihan is my husband. According to your logic, I’m his wife. But I’m supposed to be the one to leave? Why ought I be upset? Why should this hurt me? According to your values, I should leave. Don’t forget. I am in this konak as your son’s wife. Unless I want to go, no one is getting me out of this house, ever. Sadakat is still very close, but her face looks like a frozen mask.
Alya turns away from the harridan and congratulates Mine that she’ll have the child in her arms. The situation you’ve put yourself in is something I’m sorry about. But it’s too late to claim a place in this konak. Forget it. I’ve told you many times. Enough!
To Sada: If you’ve finished, I’m going to my room. Have a good night. Alya stands at the balcony and breathes deeply.
#70 – Part 5 of 5
Cihan: You’ll give birth to this child. It’s our child. The son you used to trick me, the baby you used as a deception, the child you’re using as a way to enter this konak. You’ll have the child. I’ll care for this child. He’ll have a place in my life because he’s innocent. But you won’t have any place because I want you far away. You heard Alya. She’s staying. You’ll never come here expecting to take the place that is rightfully hers. Regarding the baby, I’ll come to you and we’ll talk then. Mine: I’m here now! Let’s talk. He insists he’ll come to see her. And he tells Nare to accompany her to the door.
Cihan asks how his mother could bring that woman to the konak. Sada: Reject her all you want, but there’s a connection. She has a part of you inside her. And that is my business. This baby is my grandson, so it does concern me. This will be my business and always will be. You can do as you like, but I’m going to do what suits me. Cihan: It’s my life. My decisions. Your rules don’t apply here.
Sada: Your wife has to leave the konak. This is Mine’s place. Understand that right now. She’s the one to continue your lineage. [This is the Mine she continuously said wasn’t up to snuff.]
My woman is Alya. And it doesn’t matter what you do. You can’t change that.
Cihan comes to Alya to say that Mine left. She asks how Sadakat could permit something like that. He replies that she’s afraid of Alya. Alya thinks he’s joking. My mother based her whole plan on your fleeing. That’s why she brought Mine here and let the bomb explode on us. She thought you’d finally leave, but she was wrong again. You didn’t give her the pleasure. All the venom that falls from my mother’s mouth flows back at her now. She can’t accept that she was defeated. You know that, right?
Alya: But she’ll come up with something else. Cihan: Another plan. Surely you’re joking. Alya: Of course not. I tried to explain the reality in a less hurtful way. Cihan says he’s sorry. While he tried to confront this, she asked Mine to confront us all. And you maintained yourself so steadfastly, Alya. I don’t know how to express how important it is that you support me.
Alya: “If I fall, you’ll raise me up. That’s what you said. That’s why.” The day I said that I didn’t know about Mine’s pregnancy. I suspected. I got back up thanks to you. I stayed on my feet thanks to you. I don’t know how much I deserve your support, but there’s one thing I know well. The day I married you I should have left Mine. I was wrong.
Alya: You married for Boran, to carry out his wish. It wasn’t a real marriage. We aren’t husband and wife. It turned my world upside down, and yours as well. Your life switched up 180 degrees. You had a life, a private life. You couldn’t cut it off at once. The day we married she could have come and said she was pregnant. It was destiny. Now we are here in the midst of something that never began. That’s life.
Cihan: No, it’s at the point of beginning. I began to say something at the hospital but didn’t finish.
Alya: Don’t let’s talk about that. It doesn’t matter. It’s hard for me. It’s complicated. We don’t have a real marriage. Neither of us is at fault. It isn’t easy knowing you’re expecting a child with another woman. He replies that he knows. Well, Deniz comes in for his bedtime story and that’s that.
Sada, of course, calls Mine. Mine is practically hysterical about what Sada put her through. Sadakat tells her that hope is the last thing to die. Have patience.
Nice recap, novelera, you captured it all very well. I agree with your asides.
“But there was a rise in my blood pressure readings due to Level 10 outrage at Sadakat Albora.” LOL, ITA! This woman is an abomination.
In a slight defense or understanding of Ozkan, why shouldn’t he ask if Nare is being genuine? Nare’s been back and forth so many times. Yes, I know Ozkan was a drunken bastard. It seems those days are over now. And we know and Ozkan knows that Nare’s heart will always belong to Sahin. There’s no way she will stick it out in the long run with Ozkan. I also think Ozkan won’t be around much longer. Nare will feel very guilty about this and Sada will feed on this guilt.
“Bizim İçin Şampiyon/A Champion for Us” is the movie CihAl saw. It is based on a true story. I haven't seen it.
Okay, Mine kept the truth from Cihan after she found out she was pregnant, but I don’t think she realized she was pregnant right away. [Someone made the point of a weird timeline for Mine’s pregnancy. When stuff like this happens in a dizi, I think the writers decide to inject some juice into the story. Remember they are writing and filming this on a weekly basis. They react to ratings.]
I have a feeling that little Deniz won’t be happy when he finds out his “dad” is having another baby boy.
Wondering if Zerrin or Mine’s babies will even be born.
A little more about Sedat and Mahmut.
Mahmut was Sedat’s father. He was in the group that went looking for Zerrin and Kaya after Kaya kidnapped Zerrin from her wedding to Sedat. Kaya and Zerrin were on their way to the hall to get married and they were intercepted by Sedat, Mahmut and crew. As usual everyone showed up and guns were drawn in all directions.
Mahmut was about to shoot Kaya, and Sahin jumped in and struggled for control of the gun. Mahmut was killed. Demir had recorded this on his phone. That’s how he blackmailed Zerrin into marrying him.
Yes, Sedat harassed Zerrin and chased her. Kaya saw this and followed. Sedat had a gun, he shot Zerrin by mistake, Kaya struggled with him and Sedat was shot. Sedat survived. Footage was recovered from a moto delivery guy that cleared Kaya.
Novelera, thank you for all the great detail. There were bits I missed and I hoped they would be in the recap, and there they were! Also, I always get a big kick out of your asides.
I loved that Sadakat’s big plan failed!
I think I have the whole Mahmut thing clear now. I hope so anyway. Maybe it will fall out of my brain again.
There were so few people at the movie! I would think, if there’s no theater in town, that it would be packed. But then again – no back rests! I can’t imagine sitting on those benches for a whole movie without support. Alya did lean on Cihan, which was sweet.
Did you notice when they were back from the movie that Alya was still wearing her nice outfit, but had tennies on? I wonder if the actress put her foot down and refused to teeter on those stilettoes for that scene.
About the pregnancy – I’m pretty sure when they first told us about it, not too many days ago, that they said 8 weeks and that just didn’t add up. Now they’re saying 4 months, which is more like it.
I’m wondering- if this whole scene with Mine and the pregnancy announcement in the living room had happened much earlier on before Alya had fallen in love with Cihan (and knew that he loved her back), how would she have reacted?
