Kara Para Ask – Black Money Love – Amor y diner negro – Amor de contrabando
Episode 104 #1 of 8

Huso is driving Omer and Elif back from the railroad location.
Omer holds and comforts Elif saying that it’s over. It’s hard to read Huso’s expression. He just went through some serious emotional gymnastics. Now he has to explain this to Tayyar. Omer pulls Elif’s rings out of his pocket. She is surprised and thrilled that he found them and slips them right back on. Huso looks at them through the rear-view mirror and smiles a bit. He must be happy for his brother. He is blinking back tears.

At Tayyar’s mansion, he is giving instructions to someone who will be following Nilufer. Tayyar tells him he wants to know whoever she talks to, where she goes, everything. He tells him that the henchies should bring over their goodies (I guess this means the results of the bugs they planted) so they can listen to what’s been recorded. Tayyar looks very impactado.

At the Denizer mansion, Nedret, Filiz, Levent, Can, and Hulya are sitting in the living room. Asli comes stomping in. She announces she cannot wait any longer and that she is going to the police station. Nedret tells her to calm down. Then Asli spots Elif and Omer walking toward the door. Asli hugs Elif and tells her she doesn’t know how scared she was. Levent stares at Omer, and he stares back. Levent tells him he wishes him well. Nedret asks if something happened to her and Elif tells her it did, and she doesn’t know what she would have done if it weren’t for Omer. Asli tells them to stop standing in the doorway. She leads the way. Omer tells Elif to get some rest and that he will return in the morning. She wants him to come in and sit for a while. (Nedret is watching this closely.) He tells Elif he has to interrogate Serhat. Asli calls him Columbo and thanks him. Elmer kiss and Omer agrees to keep her posted.

At the Dundar mansion, Nilufer is pacing back and forth. She appears very uncomfortable.
Fatih comes in and asks where she has been. She tells him she was in the bathroom.
Fatih: My mother called and wanted to talk, and I’ve looking been for you with the phone with no luck for over an hour.
Nilufer: I went to the bathroom upstairs. I didn’t know I had to ask permission to use the toilet, Fatih.
Fatih moves his shoulders as if trying to relax them: I’ve got good news for you. Omer has saved Elif.
Nilufer: Is she OK? Can I use your phone to call her?
Fatih tells her she is fine, but she tells him she wants to hear her voice. Fatih tells her that he doesn’t think that is a good idea at all. He reminds her how harshly Elif spoke to her. He tells her they will face this together. Fatih leaves her in her room.
Tayyar is putting on his jacket. Fatih asks where he is going this time of night. He replies he’ll be back soon. Fatih, in an irritated tone, tells his father he didn’t ask when he was coming back but where he was going. Tayyar asks if he’s questioning his father. Fatih shakes his head and says they will go together. Tayyar asks him why and Fatih says he wants to work with him as he used to. Tayyar looks very rattled. Tayyar tells him not to worry about work because he’s on his honeymoon right now. He won’t have any free time in the future.
Fatih responds: Tayyar, stop with this empty talk. I didn’t give you a kidney for nothing. I’ll make you pay for it. You promised me that you were going to make me famous, that Fatih Dundar would be known.

Episode 104 #2 of 8
Tayyar tells him he’s going to but not that night: You think the only thing that keeps me busy is work. I have a life of my own, too. I’m going to see a lady this evening.
Fatih: Then I want a meeting in the morning. We can celebrate me being back at work at luncheon. I have to have something to do. I’m very bored. I have to be back at the grindstone.
Tayyar smiles a bit and pats him on the arm: Fine, fine, it’s very good that you’re ambitious. But listen to your Dad and don’t rush it. Work is always there. You are the most powerful candidate for my throne.
Fatih doesn’t look convinced.

Elvan is with her daughter-in-law, Melike.
Melike is thrilled with news from the telephone: Oh, thank goodness, Mom! Omer has saved Elif!
Elvan claps her hands in excitement. She is beaming.
Melike thanks Pelin for calling them. Hasan peeks out from his room to see what the fuss is about.
Elvan asks if Elif is OK. Melike tells her she is fine and that Omer has driven her home already. Elvan again is exuberantly thankful.
Hasan comes out praising his brave uncle and says he wants to grow up and be like him.
Melike tells him to go to bed. Everyone is in a good mood. [Probably not Fatma, who we are fortunate not to see.]

At the police station, Omer arrives and asks if they have brought Serhat back, and Arda tells him yes. He asks what Pelin and Arda are doing.
Pelin: We are looking at the email coming in from Emre.
Omer: Is he OK? Where has he been all this time?
Pelin: I think there’s something weird in the email. It says: “Pelin, I got scared after that night. I won’t be in Turkiye for a while. Don’t try to find me where I am. I won’t let you know. I want to cut connection for a while. Take good care of yourself.”
Omer: Are we sure that Emre wrote this?
Pelin: I think not. It’s all nonsense. He hasn’t even mentioned the evidence that he found.
Arda: But hasn’t he given the evidence to Ipek?
Pelin: He would have wanted to know the outcome. He would have wanted to know if they evidence was any good.
Omer: Pelin, write a response. Tell him that he must give us proof that he’s OK. Then let’s see what happens. I’m going to the interrogation room. I have a meeting with Serhat.
Arda tells him he will finish that report and then he’ll join Omer.
Pelin is still worrying. Arda tells her not to worry about it. Emre’s like that. He’s like a teenager and thinks he is living a TV series or something.
Pelin: I hope you’re right. But, it didn’t seem like that. She drafts an email back to him:
“Emre, it can’t just be with two lines. I’m very concerned about you. Please send at least a picture to show that you are OK.” Pelin ponders the situation.

In the interrogation room, Omer and Serhat face each other. Serhan’s right hand is thickly bandaged. Omer picks Serhat up with both hands and head butts him. Then he punches him. Serhat looks at him with a weird expresssion. Omer: I just wanted to warn you before you try to go near the woman I love again.
Serhat: You said the same thing years ago, and look what happened. And then I married that precious girlfriend of yours, didn’t I? I made a baby. You couldn’t do anything.

Episode 104 #3 of 8
Omer lifts him up with both hands again. He holds him against the wall and tells him to shut up.
Omer: Racin gave you away and he kidnapped a man. If you want to get comfortable in prison you had better tell me about Tayyar Dunder.
Serhat: My son is my only concern. Tell Ipek that I’m going to get my son back from her.
Omer tells him to sit down.
Omer: Did you have anything to do with Bahar’s murder? Is Tayyar using you to launder his businesses? Say something.
Serhat: If Ipek could see how you look right now, she would be very disappointed. You eventually found me. But all you do is ask about Tayyar.
Omer: Ah, now you mention Tayyar. So you admit that you know Tayyar. Interesting.
Serhat: Ever wonder why Ipek left you? Why did she choose me? You were making a lot of noise about her that night. Shouting her name, uncovering that wound. The wound you never forgot. I pity you. But don’t be afraid. Ask me. I’ll joyfully tell you why Ipek chose me, and not you.
Omer: I hope you realize when I’m done with you, you won’t want to live a day longer.

Tayyar is in the usual meeting place with Husseyn. Husseyn suggests he likes this place with dirt floors better than his own house.
Tayyar: You say you’ve sorted everything out now? You are being defeated by your own conscience again.
Husseyn: I didn’t do what you wanted and I don’t regret it.
Tayyar: Husseyn, don’t harm even an ant from now on.
Tayyar then goes on to discuss Husseyn entering the next world. Maybe he should repent. He predicts that Husseyn’s end will come at his brother’s hand, very soon.
Husseyn looks seriously at Tayyar: I’d give me life for him. I accept everything, good and bad, that comes from my brother.
Tayyar: You talk like a hero.
Tayyar goes on to tell him that killing her was the only solution to the situation.
Husseyn: I couldn’t do it! I couldn’t destroy my brother’s heart again. Do you understand that?
Tayyar: That brotherly love will kill you one day.
Husseyn: There were very happy when they were reunited. I couldn’t do it and I know that I never will do it.
Tayyar: Let’s see. What are they going to do with the pictures on my memory stick that you lost? We’re all going to eventually see if your brother will tear you into little pieces. I hope you don’t think brotherly love is going to stop that. It’s not!
Husseyn face shows that he is impactado.

Back with Omer and Serhat in the Interrogation room
Omer: Are you helping Tayyar with his money laundering?
Serhat: You know, you look very old. I remember your face. You used to look so much younger. [IMHO, Engin looks particularly handsome in this scene!]
Serhat continues: Did you fall apart after Ipek left you?
Omer: How are you involved in the illegal transplants?
Serhat: Of course, one always dedicates one’s self to work when one is unsuccessful with women. Let’s see if you’re going to be able to keep Elif in your hands. It seems to be promising, but let’s see.
Omer: Everything I’ve predicted about you has proven to be right. Maybe Tayyar is making you do his dirty business. He’s using you as a laundering stooge. You can’t play the big game, Serhat. You’d be scared to death.
Serhat: You are the ghost that I’ve been quarreling with. I gave a good life to that stupid Ipek. But I couldn’t save her from you. But I’m grateful to you. You have given her the biggest punishment of all. Elif is very beautiful, isn’t she?
Serhat finally has goaded Omer into reacting. He puts his hands around Serhat’s throat.
Omer: If you mention Elif again I’ll kill you.

Episode 104 #4 of 8
Serhat: You can’t do anything; you’re an honest man.
Finally, Arda comes into the room, followed by two lawyerly types.
Arda: Omer, Omer!
One of them, asks: What is happening? What do you think you’re doing?
Omer shrugs: We were just having a friendly chat.
Arda: Omer, Chief Ender from the Organized Crimes Department has taken over the file.
Omer: I should interrogate him myself.
Ender tells Omer they are taking over now, and they’ll inform him if something happens that concerns Omer. He goes on to say have been pursuing Serhan for many years now and from now on Serhat will be the subject of the Organized Crimes Department.
Serhat: How sad, we were having such a nice conversation. But it’s been great to see each other after so many years. Don’t worry, I won’t let you go anywhere, Omer.
The other man, who looks like a lawyer, speaks up: Listen, Omer, don’t forget that the subject has rights, too. Nobody can treat him like this. Calm down. Please leave the room immediately.
Arda takes Omer out of the room.
Then the two men take Serhat out of the room as well.

At Elvan’s house
Husseyn wakes Hasan: I gave you a task, did you do it?
Hasan: What?
Then he tells him he watched his mom and she cleaned, cooked, etc. Husseyn tells him she always does those things. Didn’t she do something else? Hasan says sometimes she takes the laptop from my sister and sits in her room. Husseyn asks if she had a flash drive? He describes one to Hasan. Hasan says he never saw what she was doing. She kept the door shut.
Husseyn gets up to leave and Hasan reminds him of his promise to buy a bicycle as he promised. Husseyn says he will.

At the Dundar mansion, Nilufer is sitting and thinking as she looks at picture of her sisters.
Fatih comes bursting in and sits on the vanity table stool. He looks very uncomfortable.
Nilufer: Are you OK?
Fatir: I am not. I think I can’t be OK these days.
Nilufer presses him for more information. She asks why he is so angry.
Fatih: Tayyar Dundar is worrying me. He wants to keep me away from work. But he had better think again.
Nilufer: Fatih, I with you wouldn’t get involved in that dirty business, and not to hurt anyone.
Fatih: What shall I do, Nilufer?
Nilufer: There are lots of things to do to earn money.
Fatih: I don’t care about money. My father took my kidney away. Can he pay it off with money? I want Tayyar Dundar’s power. He’s enjoying his life at the top of the empire. I want my share, I’ll take what I desire. His reign will end. Mr. Fatih’s reign will start. Be prepared.
He paces back and forth.
Nilufer: I love Fatih, not Mr. Fatih.
Fatih: Nilufer, have I ever told you a lie? You knew what sort of man I am when you loved me and when you married me. Don’t ever try to change me. Just trust me. A famkly man willnever emerge out of this man. (He band down to look into her eyes). Understand?
Nilufer looks unhappy with this declaration.

Episode 104 #5 of 8

Back at Elvan’s, Melike is not sleeping well. She hears Husseyn enter the room and she turns to look asleep.
He turns on the bright light and calls her name a few times before roughly grabbing her arm to wake her. He starts looking in her hands and other places for what she is hiding. She asks what she would hide. She asks if he’s gone crazy?
Melike: How can you wake me up like this?
She starts to get up and he grabs her roughly and asks where she is going. Then he grabs her by the hair and yanks her across the bed: You’ve been my wife for years, so I know when you’re telling the truth and when you’re not. He finally wrests the flash drive out of her hand. He hits her hard and asks: Who are you?

Elif is sitting in her room. Her phone rings. It’s Nilufer. After letting it ring a bit, Elif answers.
Nilufer asks how she is doing.
Elif says she is fine.
Nilufer: Are you sure?
Elif: Not too bad.
Nilufer: You’re going to get better. It’s always like that at the beginning. You can’t control how you feel. Listen to me. You’ll hear voices in your head. You’ll suspect everybody that comes up behind you whilst walking on the street. You’ll be frightened. But everything will pass with time.
Elif: It doesn’t mean anything that you are telling me all of this.
Elif continues to rant about Nilufer leaving with those people.
Nilufer: I have reasons for being here.
Elif: Omer told me about your plan. Why don’t we meet and talk?
Nilufer: Look, they are suspicious about me. I can’t see you. It’s dangerous. Look, you and I are both safe. Trust me.
Elif: Don’t ask me that. That plan is over, Nilufer! You need to leave that place. Even when my arms were tied, I was thinking about you because you are in danger.
Nilufer: Good night.
Elif: Don’t sacrifice yourself, please. It’s not worth it if something happens to you.
Nilufer: You need to distance yourself from me. If you want me to be safe, stay away from me.
Nilufer hangs up, while Elif keeps saying her name into the phone. Asli arrives to hear this.
Asli asks if Nilufer had called. Elif nods yes. Asli says that Nilufer is shameful. She is finally worried about Elif. How incredible. Elif tells Asli it’s not what she is thinking. Asli’s eyes grow wide and she tells Elif she doesn’t want to know anything about it. She tells Elif not to tell her because it doesn’t interest her. All she cares about is that Elif is there and safe. Asli tells Elif she copes with everything. They can then move forward.
Asli is ready for bed and gets in bed.
Asli: At least now we can sleep. I’m so tired because I couldn’t sleep while the beautiful princess was kidnapped.
Elif: I was the one who was kidnapped, not you.
Asli: Oh, you talk a lot, Ms. Columbo. We’ll stay together tonight because crazy me missed you a lot.
Elif: I missed you a lot, too. I missed having small fights with you.
Asli offers to stroke Elif’s hair. Elif laughs and asks how much it will cost this time. Asli tells her it’s free this time. The girls settle in to the bed, and Asli strokes Elif’s hair. It’s a very touching scene of the two sisters.

In contrast, we see Melike in tears and terrified after the beating by Huso. He enters and brings her some ice, telling her it will help her heal.
Melike: How are you going to heal my soul, Huso?
He looks apologetic an tells her it’s her stubbornness that caused this [typical wife beater comment.] She relaxes and takes the ice.
Huso: I’m also in pain here. Do you think I want this. But you are driving me crazy. Why are you touching my work things? Why didn’t you answer me when I asked you? Why are you keeping secrets behind my back? Tell me, Melike. Wouldn’t any husband do the same thing?
He reaches for her and she recoils. He tells her not to be afraid.
Then he gets to the main thing he wants to know, did she look at what was in the flash drive?
She tells him no, that she couldn’t open it. Huso stares intently at her, with a most serious expression. He tells her OK.
Next we see him outside walking toward the old well. He damages the flash drive with a rock and then throws it down the well. He covers the well again.

At the Denizer mansion the next morning, Elif enters the dining area and asks Hulya if Nedret is there. Hulya tells her they left early. Elif enjoys her coffee and looks at the paper featuring an article about Tayyar Dundar. She reads some of it aloud: “I had a health problem a while ago, that’s why I’m resigning as the chairman of the foundation. We will elect a new chair, someone who the children can look up to, like me.”
Elif frowns and tosses the paper aside.
Then Asli comes in, talking with a blonde guest about a project they are working on that, according to Asli, must be cheerful and heartwarming. Elif greets her and Asli mentions that before she objects to her project, can you say Happy Birthday or something?
Elif is horrified that she forgot her birthday! They hug and Asli tells her she gets credit for celebrating her birthday even if it’s by force.
Elif greets her companion. Elif tells Asli it looks like there’s going to be a party. They both think it’s a great idea.
Elif gets her things and leaves.

At Elvan’s home, we see Elvan with a head scarf sitting on the couch as Fatma enters. Fatma is crying, and Elvan asks why. Fatma tells her that her daughter, Hattice, is leaving. She has a two-year scholarship to London. Elvan tells her not to worry, but to be happy. It’s a wonderful opportunity for her daughter. She tells her they will grow old together and they have a roof over their heads, so be happy. Elvan sends her to wash her face.

Episode 104 # 7 of 8

On a street, we see Arda talking on the phone saying he understands. Omer is there and asks if Serhat’s prosecution has finished. Arda says not yet: But I’m telling you, they won’t escape Chief Ender. He will definitelhy go to prison.
Omer: What is this? We caught that man with our own sweat, and we can’t even interrogate him.
Arda tells him that he’s in their hands, one way or another, and that Omar needs to stop thinking about it. Focus on your happiness. Arda then asks what he thinks if he gets him a grill as a house-warming present (for the pink house). Omer asks why a present! He’s already in debt enough to him. Arda tells him not to talk nonsense.
Omer: You will never regret giving me my security deposit. (It seems that Arda borrowed to do this because he didn’t have ready cash.)
Arda tells him it’s a big step and that he wants a barbeque party every week. Omer tells him not to get too far ahead, because he still has to meet with the realtor and sign the contract.
Arda: I don’t know how to ask this, but will the loan be enough for this? You have rented a house which is more expensive that your budget allows. And there are the wedding costs, etc.
Omer: For the first time in my life, I’m not thinking about any of that. If problems come up, I’ll deal with them. All I want to see is Elif happy.
Omer drives off.

We see Nedret meeting with Huso in a restaurant. It was at her request, apparently, and Huso tells her it must be quick as he has work.
Nedret: Good Morning. What’s the matter? Did you get out of bed on the wrong side?
Huso tells her to quit with the small talk and tell him why they are there.
Nedret: I’ve been thinking of something that could help us both. I think I’ve found a good solution.
Huso: What?
Nedret: I’ll get Ipek to go to Omer and tell him he is Yagiz’s father.
Huso starts to laugh, saying she must be crazy. Ipek wouldn’t do such a thing.
Nedret: Of course she would. She’s in love with Omer.
Huso tells her that was years ago and that nothing remains of that love. Nedret tells him she never does things she isn’t sure about. She says Ipek is still in love with Omer. Where would she find a better father? He would protect her kid against Serhat.
Huso asks her why she called the sudden meeting. She tells him it’s important that Omer sees more of Yagiz and it needs to be witnessed by both Ipek and Elif.
Huso, with sarcasm: So, what am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to take them to play in the park?
Nedret: Be careful before you make fun of me. You’re the one who’s with Ipek all day long. We don’t have any other option, Husseyn.
The wheels in Husseyn’s head are starting to spin.

Elif is sitting in a restaurant and Omer joins her. He seems in a hurry, but Elif tells him to enjoy some tea. He reaches for her and tells her they need to go.
Elif: Sit down. Just for a minute.
Omer relents.
Elif: Besides, you haven’t told me about last night. Give me some hope at least. Say that you made Serhat talk. Tell me it’s just a matter of time that we can get rid of all this pain.
Omer says he needs more time.
Elif: We won’t be able to catch that man like this, even if they give you a lifetime. Whatever he does, he gets away with it. Nilufer is still with them. She called me yesterday. I was so sad when I heard her voice.
Omer: You’re absolutely right. I’m so angry with myself. I haven’t been able to make Tayyar pay for what he’s done.
Elif: What should we do? Give up?
Omer: Never. (He thinks for a bit.) I still have Husseyn. I can use him as a trap to catch Tayyar. I have no other option.
Elif, looking very serious: To what extent do you think your brother is involved in all of this?
Omer: I don’t know, Elif. I think he’s doing Tayyar’s dirty work. I think he’s hiding Tayyar’s files at the police station somehow. He’s destroying evidence. He’s protecting Tayyar.
Elif: I asked you about this before, but you didn’t answer. Why would Huso do something like this? Is Tayyar threatening him? Or is there something bad about Husseyn in that CD in Tayyar’s house and maybe this is how Tayyar’s making him do whatever he wants?
Omer: Husseyn once did a favor for him, and now he’s gone and built himself a second life.
Elif: I don’t understand.
Omer: Husseyn Demir has a girlfriend and had a child with her. He gave the child my late father’s name. He’s gone and bought them a nice house. Poor Melike. She thinks her husband works long hours at the police station, meanwhile he’s having an affair.
Elif: I can’t believe it.
Omer: Elif, let’s go, please.
He pays and they leave.

Nilufer is walking down a street. A bus drives up and Mert gets out. Mert walks away, and she runs after him telling him to wait.
Mert: Nilufer, we don’t have anything to talk about.
Nilufer: Mert, I need your help.
She repeats this as she follows him, and Mert finally turns to face her.

Excellent recap, Babachita!

I didn't realize you posted early because I didn't even check until today.

Elif is safe, Nilu is sad and in danger, Asli is crazy and having a birthday and they are all better off than Melike! Just when we didn't think Huso could get more despicable!

Nedret is only less bad because she hasn't killed anyone as far as we know, but I can't stand how easy it is for her to plot to hurt Elif! Elif's pain may not be her goal, but it will be a by-product of her actions and she doesn't even care.

Babachita, thanks for getting another excellent recap done despite all you have going on. I appreciate your devotion to the cause!

We are reaching a critical stage in the story. Omer is onto Huseyin, but big bro is still one step ahead. Disgusting now he’s beaten his wife! And he’s conspiring with Nedret. They are using this poor little boy and his unfortunate mother. Nedret is so unlikeable. Nilu is swimming in dangerous waters.

Elif and Omer are about to get married… let’s hope.

#105 coming soon.

#105 part 1

Elmer are walking in a park. Omer is still upset over Huseyin’s double life and probable dirty business. Elif asks, why did you carry all this burden alone? You have me. Why didn’t you tell me before? He replies, I can’t even explain it to myself, how can I explain it to you? It’s not a good idea to keep things to yourself, she says, you will feel worse.

That’s what’s happening, Omer answers, every time I look into my brother’s eyes, a knife is stabbing my heart. I tell myself, “Omer, he is not the person you know. He’s a liar and a criminal, who doesn’t care about anyone in his family. And he also created a lie for that child. That child runs to the door, “dad is coming!” He wants to see him every day, but he can’t. If you could see that little boy’s face, you would say it’s a shame. Isn’t it a shame for all of us, Elif? She agrees.

Omer continues, everything I’ve learned in life, I learned from my brother. He taught me to be honest, not to hurt people. He would take me aside, “son, lies are the wedding dress of all evil. Once you put it on, you can never take it off.” Then Divine Justice will not leave you alone. No matter how good your intentions are, lies rot your life. Where is that Huseyin Demir, Elif? Where? My hero, the Huseyin Demir who changed my world when I was a child. I keep asking myself these questions.

Omer starts walking away from Elif and sits on a bench. She watches him for a few seconds then joins him. She kisses his clenched hands. Don’t keep it inside, she tells him, let it go. A tear falls from Omer. Elif says, I know what you’re going through. My dad gave us a life full of lies. Discovering that was horrible. It hurt more than his death. But you were with me. You gave me your hand. You taught me to breathe again. You showed me that the sun would rise again. You said, there is hope. You said there is love. You said let me be by your side, my love. Omer answers, my brother killed my childhood. He cries on her shoulder.

In another park, Nilufer and Mert sit. It’s awkward. She asks, how’s school and work? What’s it to you, he answers, don’t drag this out any further, I have work to do. I know you’re angry with me, she says, but if could only explain, you would understand. You’ll even agree. My marriage to Fatih has a purpose. He scoffs. It’s not like you think, she replies, my purpose is neither Fatih nor being married to him. She explains about the CD.

Mert thinks this is ridiculous. Nilu says it’s the truth. There’s something on that CD that could be useful to Omer. If I can get it to Omer, he can arrest Tayyar and Fatih. I’ve tried every password, birthdates, and I can’t open the safe. You must know your father’s passwords. You need to help me. We don’t hear an immediate answer.

Fatih wakes up and sees Nilu isn’t there.
Ipek brings Yagiz to the squad room. She tells Pelin he didn’t want to stay with a sitter. Ipek says she asked a psychologist. He said I shouldn’t pressure him and if he wants to be with me, I should let him. He’s traumatized. Yagiz dumps a pencil cup on the floor. Pelo suggests that Ipek should take some time off. Ipek agrees but wants to ask Omer if he will need her. And then what will Huseyin say?

And speak of Huseyin, Yagiz zooms his toy car across the floor right into Huso’s foot as he comes through the door. Huso picks up the car and asks, what are you doing here, you rascal? Yagiz takes the car back. Pelo explains the situation. Ipek says she knows the boy shouldn’t be there, but she was going to ask for leave time.

#105 part 2

Huso thinks of Nedret’s words: Omer should spend more time with Yagiz and Ipek, and Elif should see. Huso smiles, shame on you, pıtırcık [little bud, a term of endearment], I’m a father, I understand the situation. But what about Ali… he’ll start roaring. Keep the boy occupied here for now. Huso calls Yagiz over, but the boy gets shy and hides behind his mom. [maybe he’s a good judge of character.] Huso smiles, Allah can olsun [may God be with you] and he goes into his office.

I guess Mert isn’t buying what Nilu is selling. He is striding away from her and she’s hurrying to catch up. I’m telling you the truth, she says, why don’t you believe me? I can’t believe you because you are a liar, he states. What you do contradicts what you say. You don’t know what you want. First you told me you wanted to be with me, and when I refused you started obsessing. You married Fatih because you wanted revenge on me after I rejected you. Don’t humiliate yourself anymore. This isn’t about us, Nilu answers back, why can’t you understand? We don’t exist anymore, Mert says, and he walks away. We see a henchie following Nilu.

Elmer arrive at the pink house. I can’t believe this is our home, she says. I’ll promise you something. In this house, no lies will enter. Omer promises, you and I will love each other unconditionally, Elif Demir. She answers, what if we make that Elif Denizer Demir? Omer smiles, okay, as long as you’re by my side, it will be as you want. He pulls the keys from his pocket. Here you go, Elif Denizer Demir.

Elif opens the door and thanks him. She knows this is a financial burden for him. We’ll share the expenses, she says, I have a job and earn money. I’ll take care of this, too. That’s how I want it. Don’t make me angry. He grabs her up and carries her across the threshold. You brighten my life, Elif Denizer Demir, thank you. Always smile like this, she tells him, don’t ever be unhappy. Kisses. And Omer closes the front door with his foot. [Are they going to christen the house?]

Huseyin knocks on Ali’s door for once and Ali notes he’s making progress on his manners. Huso tells him about Ipek’s situation. She wants days off. Ali says that’s fine with him. He feels more comfortable when she’s not around.

Huso says, stop interrupting me. I didn’t finish speaking. Ali warns, watch it or I’ll suspend you. That’s not so bad, Huso quips, you and I will take Tayyar and go to Hawaii and have a good time. Now listen carefully. We’ll have to do something about Ipek. We’re going to open an investigation against her for concealing evidence and not reporting being shot. Get Arda’s and everyone else’s statements, too. And don’t let them leave here.

Elif does a walkthrough of the house with an interior designer. They go over photos and ideas. Omer listens in. Elif asks for his opinion. He defers to her. The woman says she can make it fit in their budget, and it will take a month to be ready. Elif is dismayed. The house won’t be done before the wedding. The designer says they’ll figure something out and she leaves the room.

Omer asks Elif if she thinks they will get everything done in time for the wedding. She says trust me. He asks if she’s told her family when they are getting married. She hasn’t found the opportunity yet. I thought we’d tell everyone together, wouldn’t that be better? [don’t know about that, something always seems to go wrong when they are all together.]

#105 part 3

Elif says they are celebrating Asli’s birthday tonight. We could invite your whole family. Omer says what I just thought—maybe it’s not a good idea to bring everyone together. She tells him they all will have to get used to being together after they are married. I want a big, loving family for my child. Omer approves, then we can start on the child issue quickly. He pulls her in close. She calls him a naughty boy.

Their kisses are interrupted by the designer returning. She has good news. They will work day and night to get the house in shape but the landscaping will be delayed. The designer wants to get started and Omer leaves these tasks to his beautiful future wife. A kiss and he’s off.

Fatih is worried about Nilufer. Tayyar thinks she’s probably shopping. Fatih doesn’t think so. I’ve been calling her, he says, and she doesn’t answer. Nilu comes home. Fatih anxiously asks her where she was. Walking, she replies. I was calling you, he says. She gets annoyed, what’s wrong with you? Are you my husband or jailer. Tayyar comes downstairs and tells Fatih to calm down. Don’t spoil your mood over such small things. Fatih tells him not to interfere. He tells Nilu he was worried. Tayyar leaves.

Fatih thinks he deserves an explanation. She says these days have been difficult for her. I wanted a distraction and went to buy a gift for Asli. Today is her birthday. Then I went to send it to her. I didn’t hear my phone. I didn’t want to worry you. Fatih backs off. Now he explains, sometimes I think this is all a lie. I imagine that at any moment you’re going to leave me. Forgive me. I didn’t mean to offend you. Nilu says, I didn’t marry you to leave you alone [she left out: I married you get to the CD.] He apologizes again and tells her to change her clothes. He has a surprise.

The housekeeper is in the kitchen with a tech guy with a laptop. Tayyar comes in. Is it working? Tech says, I’m uploading it. You’ll be able to listen to all her conversations from now on. Tayyar says he also wants to know her location. Do this asap.

Huseyin returns to the squad. Ipek asks if he’s spoken to Ali yet. He gets annoyed. Pelin asks what happened. He explains to Ipek, you gave those guys the evidence, they used it for blackmail. It reached the ears of the bigwigs. Now they’ve opened an investigation into you. You need to go give your statement. Ipek says ok. Huso tells Pelo and Arda they must give statements, too. Arda says they will do whatever is necessary. Ipek is innocent. We know she was forced. Huso is pleased with himself.

Nilu and Fatih are dressed up for something special it seems. She’s worried she won’t be able to do whatever he has in mind. He encourages her, you can do anything when you set your mind to it. look, you turned a man like me into a cat. Is this your cat-like state, she laughs, you can’t stop arguing with me. We are complete now, Fatih tells her. My mother says that a person searches for their other half throughout their whole life. I found my other half. I won’t let you go. And when I die, the last thing I want to see is your gaze and lose myself in your eyes forever. Before they leave, Nilu makes sure she has her phone… the one that Tayyar has tapped.

Elvan stops Fatma on her way out. She’s going to sell some crafts she has made. She wants to save some money for Hatice. Elvan says that’s good, but they would also be willing to help. Fatma thanks her and leaves.

#105 part 4

Melike comes out of the bedroom and tries to avoid Elvan’s gaze. Elvan calls to her. Daughter, why aren’t you looking at me. Come here. Melike’s hair is covering part of her face. Elvan moves Melike’s hair and is shocked at the bruises. What happened to you? I hit the cupboard door, Melike replies, it was an accident. Elvan is outraged—I’ll deal with that cupboard door now! She goes right to the phone. Melike begs, mother, no… please don’t call him. May the Quran strike me… it was my fault!

Elvan makes the call. Weren’t you ashamed to raise your hand against your wife? May your hands be broken! Huseyin says it wasn’t his intention. Elvan continues, she’s your wife and the mother of your children… your confidant and companion for all these years and she’s also my daughter! When you got married, her parents entrusted her to us. How could you do such a thing?

I swear to God, Huseyin replies, may God curse me. Elvan answers, may God curse you and anyone who raises their hand against a woman! I’m going to call Omer because I’m sure he can deal with you properly. And if you can hit him too, if you dare. Huso begs, please don’t treat me like a monster. I did something shameful, but you haven’t even asked why. I admit I did it. I understand you want to protect her, but what about me? Elvan replies, don't let me catch sight of you until the girl forgives you; otherwise, I won't forgive you for the milk I nursed you with! (sütümü helal etmem) [This is a very harsh rebuke.]

Elvan hangs up and comforts Melike. Don’t cry my beautiful child. Those eyes are only to see the beauty of this world. We’ll take care of him. God is great and sees everything. This was a very big sin. Melike cries, there is no more 18-year-old Melike in front of you. What he did hurt me so much. I gave him two children, I never refused anything, but I still couldn’t please him.

Elvan says, he hasn’t done anything like this for years, I thought he had repented. It’s not repentance, Melike shares, it’s been years that he’s turned his back on me. Now there are chasms between us. He didn’t hit me, but he didn’t want to touch me either. Melike sobs in Elvan’s arms.

Yagiz wants to go with his mother. She explains, you can’t come. We will close the door, and no one will hurt you. Omer enters and hears this. Ipek continues, this is one of the safest places in the world. Don’t be afraid because there are two police officers guarding you. Pelo explains to Omer, we have to give statements upstairs, but the boy doesn’t want her to leave.

Omer says, I can’t believe this. The black eagle is playing games in this room. This doesn’t suit you. He asks Yagiz, what’s the problem? I want to go with my mom, Yagiz replies. Huseyin is peeking through the blinds from his office. Arda says he’s staying. We can take care of you. Omer says, we’ll have a great time. The boy smiles, will you take care of me? Ipek says thanks, but he won’t stay with anyone but me. Yagiz says that it’s okay, I can stay with him because he’s like Superman. Omer picks up Yagiz. That’s all Huso needs to see.

Nedret is supervising the birthday party prep. Huseyin calls her with good news. Omer is taking care of the boy. Nedret says to keep Ipek there until morning. Omer won’t be able to leave the boy alone.

Elif is back at her office. Levent comes to see her. He tells her Asli invited him to her party. Elif tells him to take his girlfriend, if he has one. He says he has no one. Change of subject. Elif wants him to do some research. I want to be a candidate for the chairmanship of the Tayyar Dundar Foundation. Find out what needs to be done.

#105 part 5

Omer takes Yagiz for pizza. The boy wants to see a soccer match. Omer explains, they’re not playing today. But as soon as there’s a match, I’ll take you. Yagiz wants his mom to come too. He notes, she never smiles. Omer says they will think about it, let’s finish eating. We are going to a place you’ll like.

Levent has reservations about Elif’s plan. He doesn’t think it’s a good idea to be so close to Tayyar. Does Omer know what you’re thinking? It’s dangerous. She says, Nilufer is living in that man’s house. Nothing could be more dangerous than that. He ruins the lives of so many children each year. He educated Omer’s ex and then made her pay dearly for that. He takes poor children, educates them and then uses them as couriers, members of his mafia.

Levent repeats, it’s dangerous. Let the police do their job. Elif says the police are already doing their best, but this is an area they don’t know, the business world. I know this better. This foundation is Tayyar’s stronghold. The couriers find their jobs here. Until today, no one has stopped this man. I’ll do it. Levent says, I don’t know much about these affairs, but I have friends who do. Let’s see how hard it is to get on the board of the Tayyar Dundar Foundation.

Omer takes Yagiz to the Beşiktaş stadium renovation site. Omer talks about the history of the stadium. Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray also played here. Many great players and heroes have played here! Yagiz mentions the three Beşiktaş legends—Metin, Ali, and Feyyaz. Omer is impressed with the boy’s knowledge. He puts him on his lap. The boy thanks him and kisses him. Omer takes a selfie.

Levent finds the name of the person in charge of administration at the Foundation. Fevzi Kaleli. He’s also a big donor. Elif is a bit surprised. This man is a close friend of Nedret and her late husband. I’ll talk to my aunt, she says, and don’t tell anyone about this foundation business.

Elif runs into Mert on her way out. She asks him if he’s coming tonight. He says no, he doesn't want to see Nilufer and her husband. Elif says they’re not coming but he should come. See you. Mert sees Demet. He stops her from leaving the room. He has one condition for letting her leave—come with me to a big party tonight. We don’t hear the answer.

Omer calls Ipek. She’s left her phone in the squad room. Huseyin answers it. Omer is surprised. He says if Ipek’s done, he will bring her son. It’s not over, Huso replies, I think the interrogation will last all night. Omer tells him he has to go to Asli’s party tonight. Ah, you can’t just leave him in the mosque courtyard, Huso says. He suggests he take Yagiz to the party. Then he can stay at our house. He’s like our own child. Omer agrees.

Fireworks overhead, Asli’s party is in full swing. Music, dancing. Everyone is having a good time. Asli is having a great time… until she sees Elvan and Melike coming to the door. She points them out to Elif, who looks a bit sheepish. Melike has covered her bruises with makeup.

Elif welcomes them graciously. Asli gets snarky. Make yourselves at home, I know you’ll liven up the party… but what is that little one doing here? [I guess they had to bring Hasan.] This is a party for adults. And she walks away.
Elvan says to Elif, you look so beautiful, daughter. I’m so happy to see you so healthy in front of me. I prayed for you. I’m also happy to see you, Elif replies. They hug.

#105 part 6

Melike immediately starts commenting loudly. Elvan Anne, this music is going to give me a headache. Is this what people with money listen to? And they say poor people are vulgar. I don’t understand. I guess the more money you have, the worse the music you listen to. Asli and Nedret hear. Elvan tells her to be quiet.

Asli is ready to confront Melike. Nedret stops her. Don’t go there, behave yourself. Nedret goes over to the Demir ladies and gives them a warm welcome, while Asli silently fumes.

Levent arrives and Asli cheerfully greets him. He asks, where’s Elif? Ah, I saw her around, she replies, but we’re not talking about work tonight. Okay? He makes a beeline for Elif. He kisses her hello and he’s got good news for her. The candidates for the Foundation are going to meet tomorrow… we’ll go. I’m not totally in agreement with this but…

Elif gives Levent a big hug in gratitude. And that’s when Omer walks in. And Elif spots Omer and sees he has Yagiz with him. Elvan and Melike are surprised. Nedret is pleased that the plan has been put into effect.

And we are out.

KPA

Thanks, Dondi! Things are heating up as you say!!

So, we learn that this isn't the first time Huso has hit Melike, just the first time in a long time! Sad. So sad, how some women are dependent upon men who treat them so harshly! I can't even imagine and yet I know walking away wouldn't be as simple in that culture as it is in the US. Though, Ipek got divorced so it's possible...

Interesting that Asli invited Mert to her party, she doesn't seem to like him much, but that dynamic is clearly more complex. She does seem to like Levent, possibly even LIKE Levent, but he has eyes only for Elif. I would say it's a pity, but I don't like Levent and I think Asli could do better.

I'm sorry to see Nilu get caught so easily. It could have been an interesting plotline if she was smarter about it, but she's been careless since the word go and as much as I'd like to see her win, I would like to see her do it without drawing Mert in again... let him go! She doesn't love him he's just her security blanket. He is cute with Demet.

KPA 106 part 1 of 5

Nilu and Fatih are at a dance class! The dance instructor giving them tips. Nilu is enjoying herself and she thanks Fatih for the beautiful surprise! Fatih is pleased, he wanted to give her something that she’d like. It is going very well until the dance instructor interrupts the flow to demonstrate by dancing with Nilu and Fatih is clearly jealous! He steps in and explains to Nilu himself how to do it as the rest of the class watches. ‘This must be danced very, very close. Our bodies synchronize and we communicate with our eyes. We become one, because this represents life. Did you know life is like a tango? It’s beauty, it’s everything we could ever desire.’ Nilu is smiling. She didn’t know Fatih could dance and he tells her he had to learn some time ago and a teacher in Argentine taught him.

Back at Asli’s birthday party, Nedret congratulates Huso on a job well done while watching Omer approach Elif with Yagiz. Omer meanwhile tells Elif that he had to bring the boy because everyone else was giving their statements and he couldn’t be left alone. Elif just hopes he won’t be bored in the party and Omer agrees, before taking Yagiz to meet his mom. Elvan greets Yagiz warmly and gives him lots of kisses while Omer and Elif exchange awkward looks.

Mert is arriving at the party with Demet but she’s very nervous. She doesn’t think this is a good idea. Her family is probably here. Mert doesn’t think so, why would her family be here? He tells Demet not to think about it; these parties are always fun. Demet finally agrees to enter but of course her family is here! A smiling Melike who has been avoiding Huso like the plague comes over to greet Demet and tells her she looks very pretty. Mert is very gracious in saying hello to Demet’s mother and reminds her they’ve met before.

Demet goes to say hello to Asli and Huso approaches Melike wanting to talk about Demet and Mert but she isn’t interested in talking and tells him they are just co-workers. Huso isn’t put off and he tells Melike to go get the kids; they’re leaving! Melike pulls away, telling him to stop. He should be happy she even came. Melike grabs her purse and leaves the room, Omer is watching this closely, he follows Melike.

Omer catches up to a crying Melike in the hallway and she tries to downplay the problem but Omer isn’t buying it. Melike continues to insist nothing is wrong but Omer sees the bruise. Melike tries to say she hit herself cleaning but Omer doesn’t buy that either. He asks if it was Huso and Melike just cries.

Uh oh, Hasan and Yagiz have befriended each other and they are up to no good. Sneaking around outside and finding a statue they can damage… Hasan has a fire cracker, maybe, and they start drawing on the statue’s face.

Melike is telling Omer everything that happened with her fight with Huso, including finding the flash drive! Melike says she couldn’t see the images on the flash drive well, but she thinks Huso was at a gas station? She saw images of him inside and outside the car. Why would someone be interested in that? It looked like a hidden camera… Omer asks if Huso was there with other people? He tells his sis-in-law to think. Those images are very important. They could be related to a murder—Bahar Sinar’s murder. Was someone else with my brother? Melike doesn’t think so but Huso couldn’t have killed anyone! Omer says to calm down, that’s not what he’s saying, but maybe he helped the killer. Melike doesn’t think he would do something like that but Omer knows better and says so. Melike has to help him, tell him everything; maybe they can stop him from doing anything worse. The light dawns for Melike, Huso is in serious trouble.

KPA 106 part 2 of 5

Nedret catches the boys of course! She calls them little bandits and brings them back into the party telling Elvan to watch them closely. These kids ruined one of the garden sculptures. Elvan is embarrassed, of course and wants to talk to them when they get home. Nedret isn’t appeased and goes off: ‘No, Mrs. Elvan, words aren’t enough in these cases. Children must be educated properly. Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a child to a party and let him stay awake at this hour? Think a little. It’s the family’s duty to teach them how to behave in public. They must know what can and cannot be done. Very few of us are born with class. The rest must learn.’ The boys run off again during Nedret’s rant.

Huso tells Elvan not to worry, but she should be worried because just as the party moves on and everyone is laughing and cheering focusing on Asli blowing out her birthday candles, Hasen bumps into her!! Pushing her into the cake! Asli is covered in chocolate and the room is frozen in horror, except for Hasan, who is laughing and looking not at all repentant!
That was enough of the party gone wrong and the next morning begins with texts between Elmer.
Omer: Good morning, love of my life.
Elif: Good morning, my love. I woke up thinking of you. Have a beautiful day.

Well, Cann thought the cake incident was funny too (so did Darcy) and he’s tormenting his mom about it, trying to show her pictures. Asli isn’t amused and declares she’s going back to bed.

Nedret and Elif laugh too but Nedret concludes that Asli is right, those kids wanted to blow us up. And she’d like to know why Omar brought that boy to an adult party. What’s the name of Ipek’s son? She doesn’t remember. Does Elif think Omer did the right thing? She doesn’t understand. He’s the son of his ex-girlfriend. Why bring him? Did Elif agree to that?

Yagiz is back at the station with mom, and both Omer and Pelo are trying to entertain him but Omer sighs and concludes that this won’t work. They should take him to Elvan’s house. She can take care of him. Pelo agrees, she has a cozy house and she’s very loving. Ipek wonders if Yagiz will agree to go and Omer says to leave it to him. He works his magic on Yagiz and adds in the reminder that his new friend Hasan lives there and he’s convinced Yagiz to go. Yagiz has one request, that Omer take care of his mom, Omer promises.

Omer tell Ipek she can bring him to the house whenever she wants and Ipek doesn’t know how he did it, she hasn’t been able to get him to drink even a glass of milk since the morning. Omer says sometimes kids are more stubborn with their parents. I just used a couple of techniques I learned somewhere.

Arda arrives asking if Huso is here and Pelin says no. Arda looked into what Melike told Omer and found a gas station near Bahar. He went there and asked for the footage but was told that they already gave everything to the police and have no copies. Arda saw the copy of the police receipt. There’s no way to see what Melike saw!

Omer is momentarily disheartened but he realizes there’s no thing they are now sure of, Ipek was threatened to protect Huso. Arda agrees but they have no proof. Omer is out of patience; they have to act! Pelin doesn’t know what they can do but Omer does; they’ll invent their own evidence. They are going to incriminate Huso!

Elif and Nedret are still discussing Omer, and Nedret is playing the I have nothing against Omer but I’m still worried card. She mentions the bad behavior of his family, the fact that Elif hasn’t known him long and the sudden appearance of Ipek. Elif is unphased, she knows Omer, she loves him and she trusts him. They will be married! Auntie agrees but mentions one last thing, Yagiz! Elif doesn’t know what Yagiz has to do with Omer but that’s exactly the possibility that Nedret wants to talk about. What if Yagiz was born from the relationship between Ipek and Omar? Elif is impactada!

KPA 106 part 3 of 5

Pelo questions whether Omer really thinks this is a good idea and Omer responds that he wants this to end. Arda points out that Huso will realize that they suspect him, but Omer doesn’t care anymore. Let’s be smart, he says. If we are, he won’t be able to do anything against us. Ipek agrees concluding that they’ve waited too long, they should act as soon as possible so Huso doesn’t have time to prepare. Arda sighs and asks what the plan is and Omer lays it out: ‘We’ll take Serat for a medical exam. That will be our bait. Huso must be arriving soon. You and I will make him think we arrived after him.’

Melike is vacuuming and Elvan calls out that she’s going out and will be right back. Melike continues cleaning and going through Huso’s pockets, she finds a bank statement! Expenses are showing for the market, gas station, bill payments, apartment rent…What’s this? What apartment is he hiding? Oh, the address…

Elif is driving as Nedret’s words echo in her head. ‘He was born at seven months, so one might think he’s Omer’s son. It wouldn’t surprise me. His hair is black, his eyes too. He looks like Omer.
According to his birth date, everything matches. In other words, it’s very possible he’s Omer’s son. When they finished the academy, Ipek and Omer had everything ready, but suddenly she changed her mind about leaving with him. After that, she married Serhat.’ Elif almost gets in a crash and recovers as her phone starts ringing. It’s Levent and he’s waiting outside the foundation. Very well, Elif says, please wait, I’m on my way.

Faith is getting ready to leave with Tayyar calls out ‘Metin’, Fatih, he reminds daddy. I’m sure you know perfectly well my name—stop pretending you don’t remember, old man. Tayyar says it’s just habit after all these years and he’s an old man; he’s not trying to disrespect Fatih. He wants to know where Fatih is going and he says he’s going to the hospital. He told daddy he wants to work. Fatih gets in the car and is about to leave but Tayyar asks him to wait a second. He wants to ask him to do him a very special favor. What, Faith asks.

As Huso listens in from his office, the trap is set! Omer and Arda enter the squad room where Pelo and Ipek are already at and start discussing the ‘news’
Omer: Are you sure, Arda? It could be a trap.
Arda: I’m very sure. Tolga told me. He said if they reduced his sentence, he’d expose the police officer working with Tayyar.
Ipek: And it wasn’t Chief Ali.
Arda: There’s someone else involved. We’ll know later.
Ipek: Do you think Serat and Tayyar have such a close relationship?
I don’t think so. I don’t think Tayyar would trust him with such valuable information.
Serat… Tayyar didn’t tell him anything.
Arda: Fatih hid in Rasim’s house, right? Well, when people are drunk, they talk. That’s how a secret stops being a secret.
Omer: Alright, let’s go. We’ll hear what Serat has to tell us.
Pelin: But first we must talk to Organized Crime. We don’t want problems.
Omer: Let’s do that now. And let’s take Yagiz to my house. After that, Serat will have to talk to us.
They leave the room and Huso is looking toward the door very intently… does he have doubts?

Melike is strolling up the street looking for Huso’s secret apartment.

Our detectives are leaving the station discussion whether Huso heard them. They think so but Pelo isn’t so sure he believed them. They aren’t sure he’ll take the bait but are hoping he won’t be able to resist finding out what’s going on.

Demet and Mert are walking down the street talking about something being very funny, I think I heard ‘Asli’ so they must be talking about the birthday party. They are rudely interrupted by Tayyar’s appearance, he insists that Mert get into the car, he needs to talk to him.

Serat arrives at the hospital; he wonders if he’s getting a check-up and the guard says he will at the prison but then the doctor arrives so I don’t get it.

KPA 106 part 4 of 5

Wife #2, (I keep forgetting her name) is playing with her son (whose name I also forgot) and laughing while Melike has made her way inside and is poised to knock on the door.

Mert got into the car, and Tayyar wants to know why Nilu married Fatih, what is she looking for? Tayyar knows Mert met up with Nilu and he wants to know what they talked about. He tells Mert to be a good son and tell him. Mert looks torn or disgusted, not sure which.

Melike rings the bell and the little boy runs to the door as always, but it isn’t daddy so he doesn’t care. Actually, the hallway is empty but Wife #2 sees Melike on the floor below and asks if she’s looking for someone. Melike claims she got the wrong door and apologizes. As she’s walking away, wife #2 calls out, ‘Melike’.

At the foundation meeting, a couple of businessmen greet Levent and Elif cordially and inform them that Tayyar is sick so he sent his representative to meet with them. It’s Fatih! He walks in with all the self-assurance in the world and greets Elif ‘Oh, my former partner. Welcome.’ He kisses her hand. Elif is thunderstruck.

The doctors leave Serat’s room telling him they have paperwork for him to sign and they’ll return. Left alone, Serat is pacing, our detectives are watching camera footage from a van, and Ipek worries Serat could escape but Arda says it’s impossible, there are police everywhen, Ipek is still nervous. Pelo thinks Huso won’t come since he’s not there yet and Arda agrees thinking that Huso must have suspected them but just when they are about to give up the man himself enters the room. Huso starts going off on Serat but of course, Serat has no idea what he’s talking about. Huso pulls his gun on Serat! He says Serat isn’t worth killing but he better do as he’s told. Serat says what if I don’t? And hits Huso, it’s obvious Serat isn’t intimidated. Omer is discouraged, he doesn’t think they will hear a confession now, and he wants to just go in but Arda tells him to calm down. An uncharacteristically authoritative Arda takes charge and more or less orders Omer to hold his horses and wait to see what happens, why be in a hurry to leave empty-handed? Omer reluctantly obeys. Pelo suggests that Huso could shoot the guy to silence him but Arda and Omer still believe that Huso isn’t a murderer despite his other crimes.

Tayyar is still trying to convince Mert to give up the dirt of Nilu. He says he thought Nilüfer was just a stupid girl, but she’s been acting strangely since she came to live with them. She’s after something. She’s always near Tayyar’s office. It’s like she’s looking for something. Mert wants to know what this has to do with him, and says his dad should do whatever he wants but Tayyar says they are still family even if Mert is angry with him and Fatih and Mert needs to look out for the best interest of the family. Mert looks like he’s considering but the only thing he says is that Nilu wants to make peace with her sisters. They get interrupted by one of Tayyar’s men, there’s a problem. He leans in and whispers in Tayyar’s ear.

KPA 106 part 5 of 5

Huso has the upper hand again and a gun to Serat’s head but Serat still doesn’t know who Huso is or what he wants. Huso says he’s Serat’s worst nightmare! Omer is ready to listen again and as he puts on the headphones, Huso says to Serat: ‘I am Huseyn Demir, head of Homicide. Do you understand who I am?’ Serat isn’t scared but before this goes any further, Tayyar calls Huso and warns him to shut-up and leave the room NOW! Huso wants to know what is going on but Tayyar says not to ask, just listen to his advice and leave! Huso agrees and he does leave but he warns Serat he will be back.

Omer is pissed! He escaped again. Arda wants to know if Omer heard anything on the headphones but Omer says he got a phone call and stopped. Ipek thinks someone must have warned Huso but Pelo doesn’t know how that’s possible since they are the only ones who know about the trap. Omer doesn’t know how, but someone warned him, of course, and it was Tayyar! It had to be, who else could it be?

Melike goes from mouse to aggressive in two seconds flat and starts yelling at both #2 and the child which is too bad. Angry or not, you shouldn’t yell ‘you’re a bastard’ at a small child! #2 says she can explain everything. She and Huso didn’t want to disappoint Melike. That’s why she has no expectations with Huso. She didn’t want to break up Melike’s family. Melike gets more and more aggressive and tells #2 that Huso will never choose her. She’s just his cheap trash. He will never divorce Melike or abandon his children. He will never choose her. #2 has heard enough apparently and tells Melike not to count on that. Huso is only with her because of her children. He’ll leave as soon as he can. Melike goes violent, screaming: ‘That’s not true. I’m going to beat you until you die, you bitch.’ She grabs #2 and starts shaking her fiercely, meanwhile I’m wondering why Melike doesn’t just gift wrap Huso and send him over to #2 with a thank you card, but the answer is financial security no doubt.

Thanks Babachita, Dondi and Darcy. Excellent as always. I'll try to do my episode today. Had a busy weekend and I wasn't in the mood to recap last night. Thought I had 2 hours to devote to it this morning but my granddaughter who usually sleeps till 9:30 is already awake. She turned 3 and the pacifier was taken away so now her sleep is disrupted.

Hasan needs discipline. Should have left him home with Fatma. He's old enough to know better. I wonder how Russian wife knows Melike. Totally cruel if melike to call him a bastard to his face. Hopefully he's young enough to not know the meaning of the word.
