MONTEVERDE #82, Part 1 of 4

Oscar gets down on one knee, brandishing a small black jewelry box. As Carolina stares, overcome with emotion, Oscar tells her how important she is to him. Will you marry me he asks earnestly? Si, si Carolina smiles, her face beaming with joy. He puts the ring on her finger; “te amo” he tells her, grinning ear to ear. She puts out her hand admiring her ring, effusing she will be Carolina Robles León. The boys come in and for once are a bit oblivious as to what transpired; they start reading a book as Oscar and Carolina smile like a couple of kids who’ve just gotten away with something. And indeed they have. 😊

The next morning it’s raining cats and dogs; truly torrential. Carolina wakes up, still admiring her ring. Andres comes in and they share a sweet moment; she hugs him as she stares at the ring.

“Happy birthday” Franco says with a smile, shaking Oscar’s hand; Moises does the same. Franco gives Oscar an update on Lucia which Oscar takes in looking somber. Then Moises is off, and Oscar is alone when Cárcamo carries out what looks like a delicious looking loaf of bread, with one candle. Where are Moises and Franco he asks surprised. Oscar smiles and sits and Cárcamo joins him at the table.

Rosalia tells Lucas she wants to talk. She tells him she applied for and was accepted at the University of Navarra in Pamplona for advance studies in gastroenterology. Lucas looks utterly shocked and as he repeats what she said, she says it is in Spain. She says it’s important for her career; it’s my dream she says earnestly. He stares as she takes his hands. While I can’t translate exactly what Lucas said, he is definitely not happy, talking about HIS plans. He walks away as she looks devastated.

Hugo opens the door at Manuel’s; Erika, the boys, Juanita, Manuel and Gloria are there. “Celeste” is warmly greeted as Manuel rubbing his hands with glee, salivating over the chocolate cake. They start setting up.

At his house, Franco urges Lucia to drink her beverage. He takes the breakfast tray away as she asks for a kiss. She gets up, intending on attending the party.

Bales of straw are being brought out of the rain. Oscar shows up as Lucas texts Manuel. Manuel calls Oscar and says he needs him there right away! Oscar tells him he’s on his way…

Angelina is in bed, clearly very uncomfortable as Juan David covers her with a blanket. All of a sudden she starts having pain; he asks if he should call Rosalia. She says no, much to his growing uneasiness.

“Celeste” is keeping her eye out for Oscar. She can’t contain her happiness telling Juanita she and Oscar are engaged. Quiet squeals of delight ensue.

Father Gabriel tells “Celeste” that it is so nice of her to do this for Oscar, despite their differences. “Celeste” offers that he is a good man and then inquires after Angelina and Juan David.

Doris and Cárcamo come up and confront Doris, asking her if it is true she dropped out of the race. Yes. Doris then asks if she is supporting Juan David. (Of course she is Doris I interject rather crankily, what are you thinking? ☹).

MONTEVERDE #82, Part 2 of 4

Oscar enters Manuel’s… In a very cute scene that made me smile, “Celeste” ducks down behind a counter, putting a round loaf of bread in front of her face. He is warmly greeted with clapping as chants of “Oscar” fill the air. Everyone jumps out with noise makers and cheers. This nice scene is ruined by Sara’s face among the crowd.

Angelina’s pains are worsening and Juan David is now a nervous wreck.” Juan David I need to get to the hospital” Angelina tells him through gritted teeth.

Oscar’s sons greet him happily. Oscar is told that Sister Celeste prepared everything. She and Oscar share a hug as everyone smiles.

Lucas and Rosalia tell Oscar (in front of everyone) that she is pregnant. Oscar is thrilled as is Moises. The crowd is urged to sit down. “Celeste” and Oscar go off in a corner to talk as Sara shakes her head disapprovingly, an angry look on her face.

Carlos is on the phone with someone…

Manuel congratulates Oscar. A soaking wet Juan David comes in updating them as Gloria and Father Gabriel rush out with him.

Franco congratulates Lucas again on the news and says that Oscar is so happy for them. Then Lucas tells Franco rather angrily about Rosalia’s offer. Franco is very supportive of Rosalia! Hugo joins the conversation and Franco tells him Lucas and Rosalia are going to Spain. Then, Franco tells them he is going to propose to Lucia! Right on cue, Lucia comes over; she wants to go home.

The rain continues unabated as Father Gabriel tries to drive Angelina, Juan David and Gloria to the hospital. They are stopped at a roadblock and told to turn around as the road is impassable. Poor Angelina is clearly suffering.

Sara sneaks a call to Carlos; I think she tells him he won’t be able to get there due to the raging storm.

A frantic Juan David returns to the restaurant bellowing for Rosalia. She grabs her jacket and runs out. Moises and Andres hug “Celeste” as Erika and Juanita look on, Sara taking it in.

MONTEVERDE #82, Part 3 of 4

Angelina is back in bed, Rosalia attending to her. Rosalia comes out and says something to effect that the contractions are coming quickly, borne out by a scream from Angelina. Juan David, Gloria and Father Gabriel stare. Rosalia steels herself and goes back into the bedroom.

Viviana arrives at the convent where Celeste tells her Carolina is not back.

The restaurant crowd encourages Oscar to blow out the candles, “Celeste” telling him to make a wish. He does and then blows out the candles.

Viviana and Celeste talk on the phone with Carolina who explains she is unable to return because of the weather. Viviana tells her she must get back saying the police are going to find out. I think Celeste says she will take her place if she can’t get back. Madre Gustava comes up and learns what is transpiring as well. When Oscar comes over to “Celeste” she tells him she has to get back to the convent!

Manuel offers a toast to Oscar, thanking him for everything he has done (as Sara glares without drinking after the toast).

Father Gabriel returns to the restaurant asking for Lucas; they rush out.

Rosalia and Juan David are in the bedroom with Angelina who is sweating and struggling. Gloria brings in towels as Father Gabriel enters the room, clearly unsettled by Angelina’s screams. Rosalia puts her gloves on and starts coaching Angelina as Juan David times the contractions. A completely unnerved Gloria is crying more than helping her daughter as Angelina continues to scream.

Oscar and “Celeste” are going to make a run for it. I gather Franco and Erika will take care of the boys.

Sara starts questioning Moises and Andres…

More screaming from Angelina as Juan David (now sweating as much as Angelina) is in total panic. But what is that? It is a cry from a newborn signaling the cycle of life has begun. Gloria holds the tiny tyke as Juan David holds Angelina’s head. Mercifully, twin number one has arrived, seemingly healthy. However, things unfortunately take a turn. Angelina continues to push in agony when we see Rosalia stare in dismay. There is clearly a problem with the second baby. As Rosalia works with all her might, I can only surmise there was an issue with the position of the baby (?) as Angelina cries in anguish.

MONTEVERDE #82, Part 4 of 4

Oscar and “Celeste” arrive at the roadblock but are turned away.

Rosalia is trying to encourage Angelina who finally gives one last frantic push. Mercifully, we hear the second baby crying. Rosalia puts the baby in her mother’s arms as viewerville gives a collective sigh of relief and gratitude.

Lucas congratulates Father Gabriel in the kitchen as Lucas kisses Rosalia. “I am a father” Juan David says, thrilled to the core. “I am an abuelo” the good padre smiles as they jump up and down joyously.

Manuel gets a call that the “Jennifers” have arrived!! Sara puts on her raincoat and slithers out.

In the last scene, we see that Oscar has gone “off road” in order to get Carolina back to the convent. As they get back on the highway, the car steers haltingly and they get out seeing that they have a flat tire. They stand in the pouring rain, frustrated and upset…

Thank heavens the twins have arrived and are (seemingly) in good health.

Oscar is so besotted, he is having an almost impossible time in trying to hide his feelings. He needs to concentrate on getting Carolina back to the convent. Is it too much to hope he can put on a spare tire so they can get on their way??

At least Carlos is waylaid, but for how long?? I fear Sara is going to spirit Moises away somehow.

Rosalia and Lucas need to have a serious talk about their unresolved issues…

Jarifa, thank you for your masterful summary that explained and enlightened last night's on the edge of your seat drama. What a marvelous read.

Thank heavens the twins are all right! I looked up "breech birth" but as it seems that usually occurs in earlier stages of pregnancy, wasn't sure that was it (although it was clear Rosalia did have quite a bit of twisting to do).

No spare tire?? What kind of rancher is Oscar I ask abashed and disappointed!

Thank you for the pivotal (and dire): "Carlos is on the phone making plans to abscond with his son. It seems that someone will met them at a hostel in Tapachula so they can cross the border (into Guatemala) the next day". I truly had been hoping a kidnapping might be averted, now it does not seem so.

"Lucas is taken a back. She has a whole life plan she never told him about" seems to be true. After Lucas agreed to stay in Monteverde I can't blame him for being surprised about a dream Rosalia kept to herself.

I fear Carolina is not going to make it back in time. Will she tell the truth or will Celeste step up and do the hold switcheroo (for hopefully the last time).
Tonight will be fast and furious!

Franco asks his father what he is going to do to celebrate his birthday and Oscar says "nothing."

Cárcamo comes out singing "Las mañanitas" to Oscar since nobody else did!

When Lucas asks why she didn't discuss this scholarship issue with him before, Rosalía answers that she applied so long ago and when she never heard back she forgot about it. There are ranches all over where he could get a job! He reminds her that they agreed to stay in Monteverde when he decided not to go to Nuevo León. She talks about being able to have an office in a hospital eventually. Lucas is taken a back. She has a whole life plan she never told him about. He reminds her that she said she came to Monteverde because she said she didn't like the hectic pace of hospitals and now she wants to have an office in one??? She says that getting the scholarship has changed everything and he cannot clip her wings. He responds saying that she cannot go changing things from one day to another! It also has an effect on his life and his plans. Defiantly she asks if he is not going to support her and let her go alone or what? It is her dream!!! He says if it really were her dream , she never would have come to Monteverde to open a practice. She reminds him that she came to find her father. She loves living there but cannot turn down an opportunity like this one. She tells him that he doesn't have to come to a decision right now. She is only asking him to think about it. He says he is going to work. (Aside: Rosalía says it is her dream to study a medical speciality. If it really were her dream, how did she "forget" all about it??? Give me a break!)

The good father makes sure that Sister Celeste gets credit for organizing the party.

Lucas and Rosalía tell Oscar about his grand baby on the way.

Oscar tells Carolina that he didn't just like but loves the party. He would like to get away with her for a while afterwards. She would love to but reminds him that she has to get back to Mexico City.

Carlos is on the phone making plans to abscond with his son. It seems that someone will met them at a hostel in Tapachula so they can cross the border (into Guatemala) the next day. He will pay in cash and will notify them when he gets there.

The good father tries to drive Angelina, Gloria and Juan David to the hospital in Zacatillo but has to turn back when the civil engineers inform them that the road is impassable due to the rain.

The boys are happy that the road is closed due to rain so Carolina will not have to leave. They all hug. Carolina tells Oscar she is worried about her lawyer's reaction if she cannot get back. He says if it were up to him, he would see to it that it never stopped raining so she could stay there with him forever.

The lawyer Viviana has very good news for Celeste and Carolina. Celeste explains Carolina isn't there yet because the bus ride takes all night long.

The lawyer comes to the convent and has a three-way conversation with the twins. The bottom line is that the new judge, a woman who could be very favorable in her ruling and find Carolina innocent, has moved Carolina's hearing up to tomorrow morning. Carolina tells her that isn't possible because the road is closed due to the rain.. The lawyer is not pleased and tells her she is going to have to find someway to get there. No, the court date cannot be changed. The worst part is that if Carolina doesn't show up tomorrow, the police will realize that she has violated her home confinement and the judge will be also dealing with that new charge against her. Then there is the crime of identity fraud that will also involve her sister. Celeste decides that if Carolina cannot make it, she will pretend to be her. The judge doesn't know her nor that she has a twin sister. Carolina doesn't like the idea. The lawyer can only see the legal mess it could become. Carolina decides she will be there tomorrow no matter what. The lawyer says she needs to be back at 9:00 a.m. Carolina adds that if she cannot make it, she is to inform the judge that she assumes responsibility for breaking the order of home confinement. She will see them tomorrow.

Rosalía's second baby is in a breech position (feet first) and Rosalía has to turn it before she can deliver it.

Oscar and Carolina are stranded on the road with a flat. He has no spare tire. . .

Diana, I republished the post because I FFWD over the car ride to Zacatillo evidently and it was included in Univision's transmission.

Anyway, it was such an entertaining episode again!

I did not like Erika and Franco being left in charge of the boys. Erika is well-intentioned but doesn't know the whole story and is still young while Franco is preoccupied with the ranch and Lucia's well-being.

Rosalía would have preferred that Rosalía have a Caesarean with the breech position but that was not possible.

Rosalía has rubbed me the wrong way more than once and now she seems to be her father's daughter more than ever. What a ditz!

Yes, tonight could be a real nail biter! Can't wait !

Thanks Diana and Jarifa. I enjoyed both recaps, that captured all the drama and excitement of this episode. The most surprising thing to me that was Gloria did what Rosalie ordered and then stayed in the corner being quiet. The most fun was Juan David and Father Gabriel jumping up and down after the birth, pure joy!
Sarah is a real wet blanket. She seems to really disapprove of the people in town having fun and enjoying life. I’m looking forward to her realizing what a fool she was, and hopefully ending up in jail, Actually that will be more satisfying for me than Carlos finally getting arrested!
I have never warmed up to Lucas so I’m fine if Rosalia goes off to Spain on her own. How strange she never hears from her father after he moved without
telling her. And stranger is Franco’s mom just disappearing from his life again.
I can’t imagine not having a spare tire! Who does that?!

Amen to "Sarah is a real wet blanket". Blech.

Yes, I've commented several times how terrible it was that Nestor abandoned Rosalia without so much as a backward glance. And yes, Eva dropping out of Franco's life was unexpected and SO disappointing! I am typing during the opening credits so don't know if either is still appearing. At this point, I am really doubting they are going to return.

Diana, I think it’s very strange how they left. I wonder if there was a dispute and they got fired. I was hoping both parents would build a relationship with their kids. This show is so good it’s hard to believe the writers would do that. Diego and his daughter disappeared too, but their storyline was over.

Thanks for the recap. I was not on Lucas side in the discussion but the part where he said she didn't like working in a busy practice flew over my head. I just recall her coming there because she was looking for her dad. Residency programs are a year or 2 long. They may rescind the offer when they find out she is pregnant. But at any rate, if she has a passion for gastroenterology I feel she should be able to pursue it. Zacatilla has proven to not be that far away and possibly there is scope for her there. Oscar I feel offered Lucas the fireman job because he wanted to keep him close, but he is only a recent addition to the hierarchy of the ranch. I'm sure he could follow Rosalia for a bit.

It having a spare is ridiculous! Now having a spare that is also flat would be more likely.

I thought Carolina was leaving before the party, as in the night before. Shame on her not checking the weather report, and on Oscar for being so selfish and not bringing her to the airport!
 

MONTEVERDE #83, Part 1 of 4

Discovering they have no spare tire, Oscar steps out of the car cursing his luck as the raging, torrential rain continues. Carolina is beside herself crying as Oscar comforts her. Oscar flags down a car.

Gloria is nestled on the bed next to Angelina who cradles her babies, one in each arm. Father Gabriel is still glowing as Juan David effuses about Jennifer Lorena in blue (what a cutie) and Jennifer Anastasia in pink. Juan David is quite the proud father. The little scene epitomizes love, peace and utter tranquility.

Celeste is in the convent and kneels praying as she blesses herself.

Lucas and Rosalia are outside the bedroom on the couch when Juan David (flanked by Father Gabriel and Gloria) emerges and thanks her for everything; he knew it wasn’t easy. Gloria talks happily about her grandchildren and Father Gabriel gives thanks. Juan David hands Lucas his hat as he and Rosalia depart. Gloria sits on the couch, a sigh of relief emanating from her lips.

Oscar and Carolina arrive at the bus station along with the sun…
At the convent, cool nun asks “Carolina” if she wants pan dulce. “Carolina” tells her she wants to confide in her. Is it about Oscar the nun asks smiling. No, (not exactly I add); I am not Carolina, I am Celeste! The cool nun is totally taken aback. Celeste talks about consequences as her phone rings. Carolina is with Oscar and on her way back. As the bus makes its way down the road, Oscar and Carolina smile at each other.

Riding high from the successful deliveries of the twins, Rosalia tells Lucas there were complications but it all worked out. If I interpreted what happened next correctly, I believe Rosalia seems to have had a change of heart and wants to stay in Monteverde. I believe she says she will attend the University of Navarra classes online. They kiss.

Erika is reading Moises and Andres a bedtime story which worked like a charm as both lads are asleep. She kisses Moises and turns out the light. Lucas comes in to check on them, calling Erika family as she smiles delightedly. Franco closes the door.

Father Gabriel brings in flutes to make a toast for the non-nursing crowd. To Rosalia!

The bus is moving as Carolina rouses herself from sleep (on Oscar’s shoulders). The bus pulls over much to their surprise. Carolina and Oscar wonder what happened and Oscar talks with the driver; there is some sort of mechanical problem.

MONTEVERDE #83, Part 2 of 4

“Buenos dias” Moises and Andres join Franco and Erika for breakfast – fruit is one of the many items on the menu. Franco tries to call Oscar. The bus driver does not seem to be able to fix the problem. Oscar and Carolina decide to hitch. An elderly couple pulls over and welcomes them as Carolina expresses her gratitude.

Franco, Erika and the boys continue to enjoy their breakfast, laughing away when there is a knock on the door. It’s the devil; actually it is Sara (they are fairly interchangeable at this point I sniff). She wants to take the boys birdwatching but Franco says his father isn’t there so he can’t give permission. Snake Sara seizes on Erika, after all she is Moises’ mother so she can give approval. Franco is torn and tries again to reach Oscar but can’t. The boys start pleading and kindhearted (but misguided) Franco gives in. The boys grab their gear and head out with Sara.

Viviana arrives at the convent and is told that unfortunately Carolina was unable to get back. Mother Gustava asks if it is possible to get more time. Viviana can only give her a very short amount of time…

A happy Rosalia is telling Lucia everything that transpired with the birth. I think she says she is staying; at first Lucia seems sad she isn’t going to be able to fulfill her dream but then Rosalia tells her she will be attending classes, just not in person! Lucia and Franco take their leave.

Time is passing; Oscar nicely tries to ask the husband to drive a little faster at which he takes offense.

Sara and the boys are in a field with their binoculars birdwatching. All of a sudden, Sara announces they will split up; she and Moises will go one way, Andres (by himself) will go the other! And so the tracks for the abduction are laid. She next texts Carlos.

The cool nun comes up and says the police are here.

Andres is by himself, watching for birds when all of a sudden, Carlos drives up! As he alights from the car, Andres immediately looks upset and asks his father why he is there!

Andres actually tries to run but is overpowered by Carlos who grabs him and throws him over his shoulder. In a panic, poor Andres screams for Moises and Sara!! Moises hears him but Sara tries to divert him. Andres screams his mother told him Carlos is guilty of fraud. Carlos says he is a child as he throws Andres in the car and backs up, ready to flee.

Celeste marches to the convent door and introduces herself to the police as Carolina. Mother Gustava is standing there, Viviana behind her.

Carolina and Oscar have run into traffic and are at a standstill. Viviana can’t reach her as Madre Gustava prays.

MONTEVERDE #83, Part 3 of 4

Franco and Lucia are taking a walk in the woods. All of a sudden, Achilles is brought out much to Lucia’s joy. Franco kisses her and they pet the magnificent horse.

Moises runs calling for his friend and Sara pretends to join in. She suggests they go back to the ranch. “Andres” Moises bellows as he continues to try and locate his friend. All of a sudden, he sees the binoculars Andres left behind and runs up and grabs them. Sara continues her savage betrayal.

The driver is stressed as Oscar and Carolina finally arrive at the convent. They frantically ring the bell as the door is opened. They rush in and Madre Gustava says they are late; there are going to be grave consequences. Madre Gustava prays.

Oscar and Carolina try to get a taxi to no avail.

The next morning Juan David comes out and to his shock, Gloria and Father Gabriel are asleep next to each other on the couch. Juan David grins as Gloria sort of shakes Father Gabriel off her shoulder.

Lucas comes across Franco and Lucia and says they look very content. Erika arrives as Moises runs up screaming asking if Andres is there. No Franco answers clearly alerted. Sara (aka Judas) huffs up, asking them to forgive her. You are responsible a stern Franco tells her. Franco tells Erika to take Moises back to the house. Sara continues to pretend to be upset. Lucas arrives with reinforcements to join the search.

Celeste and a beside herself Viviana sit in chairs at the court. Viviana seems ready to hyperventilate.

Andres wants to go home; por favor he pleads, take me back to Oscar’s ranch! This infuriates Carlos who screams, telling him no.

The court official comes out and says “Carolina Robles”. Celeste stand up and says I am her and follows him.

Franco is frantically calling for “Andres”. Of course his cries go unanswered.

MONTEVERDE #83, Part 4 of 4

Back at Manuel’s restaurant, Lucas comes in and says Andres is missing. Juanita immediately panics as Hugo, Gloria and Manuel stare. Juanita removes her apron and she and Hugo rush out. Manuel takes Gloria’s hand, telling her in a soothing manner that it will be all right.

Erika comforts Moises as Sara carries on, pretending to be upset. Then Sara says she is offended and stalks out saying she is sorry about Andres. Erika assures her son she is doing everything she can.

The judge is reviewing papers as Viviana and Celeste sit in front of her. I can add little other than Celeste is asked about the fraud and that she states unequivocally that her (Carolina’s) husband, Carlos Rojas committed the fraud.

Carlos forces Andres into a cabin. Andres protests saying he wants to go home. You are mi hijo an exasperated Carlos tells him as Andres continues to talk about his mother. Next, when he mentions Oscar, Carlos grabs him roughly by the arm, pulling him into the next room.

The last scene completely caught me by surprise and I am unsure if I am interpreting it correctly. The Judge seemed to tell Celeste (masquerading as Carolina) that she is guilty and will be sent to prison! Jarifa, kindly concur if this is right or correct if I am wrong. Viviana seemed so sure the judge would decide in Carolina’s favor; I wonder what happened?

I was really hoping Carlos and Sara’s plan to abduct Andres would be thwarted.

Wait until Carolina finds out Andres is gone! I hope this doesn’t drag on too long and that Andres is home ASAP!

MONTEVERDE Extras página 1

Last night due to severe tornado activity just south of Chicago, television programming was compromised due to weather coverage. I guess spring is here. My extras are based on what I could pick up here and there.

A question: why didn't Oscar and Carolina fly to Mexico City knowing that she had to be back ASAP?

Gloria, Juan David and the good father make sure that Rosalía knows how grateful they are for what she did to deliver the twins.

Juan David tells Angelina he has always loved her with all of his heart, but today he also sees her as the bravest woman in the world. He doesn't know how she put up with such pain. Neither does she but it was all worth it to have their babies in their arms. He thanks her for giving him the greatest happiness in his life.

Yes, Rosalía has had a change of heart and is going to stay in Monteverde. She never knew that a birth could be so moving. Lucas tells her she should be very proud. Bringing a baby into the world is no small feat. He reminds her she delivered two babies. She adds with lots of complications. Juan David was a great help. She was afraid the second baby was going to strangle due to the umbilical cord around her neck but she was able to deliver her safe and sound. It was the greatest joy she has felt in her whole life. Lucas says if she weren't there, he cannot even begin to think of what would have happened to them. She realizes what could happen if they leave Monteverde and there is nobody to care for people in emergencies. She admits that after the birth, she has realized how much she is needed in Monteverde. What happened with Angelina opened her eyes.She has never felt so useful in her entire life. After feeling the gratitude, if they need her in Monteverde, she is staying! She can take her classes on line and appear in person for the exams. Yes, they are staying.

Franco tells Erika he changed the sheets (WOW!) and she can sleep in his room. He is going to sleep in Oscar's. No need for thanks. They are family.

Angelina gets to toast with apple juice. Rosalïa was the heroine of the day!
Angelina sees her as her guardian angel.

When Carolina wakes up on the bus it is 7:00. Oscar tells her they are still on the highway but should be in the city within the hour. The bus driver tells them that he cannot fix the bus. It is the turbocharger! That is why they lost power. The bus will have to be towed. He will call for a replacement bus and that should only take an hour, an hour and a half the most.

Franco finally agrees to let the boys go with Sara as long as it is for only a short time. Erika will be at the house until the boys are back.

Mother Gustava talks about how bad the traffic is in the city in the morning. Celeste insists that if Carolina does not show up in time, she will take her place.

Rosalía tells Lucía how all of the adults were so cooperative at the births! Even Gloria!!

Franco decides that since Lucía is feeing better, it is time for her to get out on the ranch in the fresh air. Rosalía agrees. Being out in nature is good for one's physical and mental health.

(Another comedic twist) The old driver of the car never goes beyond 50 kilometers (30 mph)and hour even though the speed limit is 80 (49 mph). That is the only way he feels safe. Nope, he will not let Oscar drive. He never lends his car to anyone. Carolina explains that she is an urgent situation. Oscar promises to drive carefully and be responsible for anything that happens. The old man's wife tries to convince him to let Osxcar drive and that turns into an argument. The old man doesn't understand why she is taking Oscar's side and not his. He is her husband!! She asks him not to remind her and tells him not to be so disgusting. When Carolina asks him in the name of St. Jude, he finally gives in.

Carlos tells Andrés that he is taking him because his mother is going to jail and so he won't end up in an orphanage. Andrés argues that he is the one who committed the fraud and not his mother. When Carlos throws Andrés in the back seat, he tells him he locked the back doors with the kid locks.

Celeste tells Mother Gustava and the lawyer that she will take Carolina's place. There is no other choice.

Carolina and Oscar are so trapped in traffic that they do not even know that the lawyer has called them.

As Moisés searches for Andrés, he tells Sara that he is worried that his father, who is a very bad man, took him!

As, Oscar and Carolina, arrive at the convent, the old man is a nervous wreck. His doctor said he isn't supposed to get upset and since they got in his car his nerves have been frayed!! Carolina is sorry but cannot tell him right now why she urgently had to get to the convent . . . perhaps another time . . .

The good father explains that he and Gloria stayed over in case Juan Davaid and Angelina needed something. Juan David says the babies only woke up once! Gloria tells him that is how the first few days are. She adds he needs to just wait to see what is coming next! Juan David says they can take a peek at the babies but then they need to go straight home. BOTH Gloria and the good father disagree. They are there to help!! Juan David thinks not. He offers a look at the babies and then straight home! Neither the good father or Gloria are happy.

When Moisés alerts the adults that Andrés is missing, Franco wonders why they went so far. Franco tells Sara she is responsible. She wants to go back to town. An exasperated Franco insists that she has to come with them because only she knows where Andrés was lost. She says that Moisés took them out where they were. . She doesn't even know where it is. She isn't good in crises and would only get in their way.Better she go to the house. Franco tells her to do what she wants. He tells Erika to keep an eye on Sara. He doesn't like her attitude at all. The search begins.

Celeste tells the lawyer that God willing they will get through this.

Carlos tells Andrés that the are going to a house where they can spend some time together. He will never being going back to Oscar's because his mother has filled his head with things that have turned him against him. A stranger doesn't have to take care of him when he has a father. Andrés will be staying with him like it or not.

Sara wants to go to toan so she can ask if anyone has seen Andrés there. Erika tells her that is not necessary but tells her to go if she wants.She also tells her that she has a feeling that Sara knows something that she is hot telling them. If that is true, she better tell them now. Sara is offended with what she is insinuating. She is the first in wanting to find Andrés . She is out of there. She is sorry about Andrés and hopes he is back soon. Erika reassures her son that Andrés will be back.

The judge gets straight to the points of the case against Carolina. Carolina testifies that she didn't know about the existence of the apartments nor that she was named the legal representative of the corporation until she was charged with fraud. She admits that her husband made her sign documents and she stupidly didn't ask him what she was signing. She never thought eh would involve her in something illegal. She is sure that her husband is the one who committed the fraud. He was in cahoots with a man named Rafael Narváez. He used him as a frontman to create his corporation. They used it to open accounts in fiscal paradises. The judge wants to know how she knows all this if supposedly she new nothing about the company Carolina explains that her lawyer investigated where the money was. The judge wants to know if she has any EVIDENCE to back up what she is saying. Carolina has to admit that she doesn't. She and her lawyer had the evidence on a USB but they stole it.She swears seh s telling the truth. She says the only one who is guilty is her "cu.. ." (cuñado-brother-in-law) and quickly catches herself.The only one who is guilty is her husband Carlos Rojas. The judge is (IMHO rightfully so ) not impressed.

Carlos tells his son they will stay overnight at the cabin and will be going to Bermuda the next day. Carlos explains that he cannot be with his mother because she has legal problems. Andrés reminds him that is his fault. He says when they are seaside eating tasty seafood, he will have all the time in the world to explain his side of things. Andrés doesn't want to hear, doesn't want to go with him, doesn't want to be kidnapped! Carlos asks how can he have kidnapped his own son. Andrés answers because he is holding him there by force and wants to take him out of the country without his mother knowing. Carlos insists he is doing it for his good.They will be better off together. Andrés still wants to leave.

The judge has decided that since Carolina has no evidence to exonerate her, she is guilty of fraud and is to be transferred immediately to Santiago the women's prison.

I was happy that Rosalia was shown her value; she truly was the hero last night - well deserved. And she is right. Monteverde needs her but that doesn't mean she has to choose between being where she loves and furthering her education. She can have it all.

Yes, Rosalía finally came the senses. My only problem with her was that she forgot all about her "dream". You don't apply for a scholarship for your "dream" and then just forget all about it and about what your "dream" is anyway. That doesn't ring true to me.

I did not have a problem with the judge either. She has only what is presented to her and she probably has heard it all before and one too many times in her career. She certainly wasn't what the lawyer was hoping for.

Sara sure couldn't get off the ranch quickly enough. How soon will she be gone from Monteverde? I so hoped Erika would have gone with the boys on the birding expedition. She says she will wait at the house for their return. Just go and keep an eye on them.

About the airplane ride. Two possibilities. There were no flights leaving that night, or the storm grounded them; it never seemed they planned on flying anyhow.

I almost expected Rosalia to change her dream to ob/gyn. Not a lot of work in Monteverde yet though. A GP is the most useful.

Thanks Diana and Jarifa, for the great recaps. The kidnapping wasn’t at all what I expected. Sarah really is a fool. I figured she’d somehow be with just Andre’s and lead him to Carlos. I hope. Moises tells them that Sarah sent Andre’s off on his own. That will help them figure out she had some plan. I’m wondering if she’ll ever see Carlos again or if he’ll block her on her phone. She’s horrible. She should realize the people that love him are going to be frantic. I’m wondering if the police will be called tonight.

A nun in jail has to be a first. I wonder how she’ll cope. There’s no way they can switch now.

I’m so glad Juan David was firm in sending the abuelos home. Let them learn right away that they won’t be staying there.

I can’t wait until tonight.

Yes, it would be great if Moises did tell Franco and Erika that Sara purposefully split the boys apart. They are already suspicious and that would have added to that.

My thought is that Carlos never plans on seeing Sara again! I think Carlos is going to drop Sara like a hot potato; then ignore her calls. Whatever he does I don't think Sara will accept his rejection meekly or mildly. She will turn on him like a wildcat (I hope!) :)

In order for Celeste to be sprung, they have to get some evidence against Carlos. I keep thinking Padilla (?) might show up but it's likely wishful thinking.

MONTEVERDE #84, Part 1 of 4

While there was a moment of ecstasy last night (Rosalia successfully delivering lovely, healthy twins), the agony (Andres’ kidnapping and “Carolina’s” impending imprisonment and oh so much more) continued, unabated.

Through poor planning and a series of weather and other delays, Carolina was unable to return for the hearing. Had she been able to, rationale seems to indicate the guilty verdict would have been any different. Further adding to the mounting series of tragedies is that fact that neither Carolina, Oscar nor Celeste know that Andres has been abducted by Carlos.

We begin in the judge’s chambers where she has just proclaimed that due to lack of evidence to back up her claims, “Carolina” is guilty of fraud. She will be immediately sent to the women’s prison at Santiago. “No, no” “Carolina” cries as Viviana insists her client is innocent. “Carolina” is still protesting as she is cuffed (she again starts to say her sister is innocent but then catches herself).

“Papa, papa” Andres cries after he is locked in his room. He pounds on the door begging to get out. Sara calls Carlos, telling him the village is being scoured to find Andres and that he needs to be very careful. He tells her how much he appreciates her help and sends besos. ☹Meanwhile, Andres is still pounding on the door, calling out to his father.

The frantic search is in full swing. They are asking friends and neighbors but to no avail. Juanita runs up to two men asking if they have seen her sobrino; Lucas goes to the pharmacy asking about Andres; Hugo asks a shopkeeper but alas, they have not one lead!

“Celeste” and Oscar appear outside the building as Viviana informs them Carolina has been found guilty. She explains that lack of evidence was the reason for the judge’s decision. “Celeste” starts marching into the building determined to tell the truth - she is Carolina! Oscar and Viviana stop her appealing to reason as revealing the wrong woman has been arrested will result in even more grave consequences. She feels guilty! Viviana suggests they go for coffee talk it over and calm down. Carolina is distraught and will not go, eyes brimming with tears. As “Celeste” declares she must see her sister, against Viviana’s better judgement, the three go inside.

Moises is served lunch in which he has no interest. Franco is very upset as Lucia and Erika look on sadly and supportively.

The searchers reconvene at Manuel’s restaurant. All of a sudden, Juanita has a revelation. The abductor is Andres’ father! Everyone realizes she is right and they rush off.

Carlos enters his son’s room trying to calm him down. His patience is fast evaporating as he lividly points at his son, chastising him, venting his frustration.

Oscar brings Carolina back coffee as she waits. She feels responsible and admits she was stupid for leaving the convent. Oscar is also sorry but tries to comfort her. All of a sudden Viviana emerges, “Celeste” will be allowed to see her sister.

MONTEVERDE #84, Part 2 of 4

Rosalia checks on Lucia who is resting in bed. She tells her she had a reunion with Aquiles and is very happy. Lucia then tells Rosalia about Andres’ disappearance.

The women from the inn waylay Sara who is outside with her suitcase. She fibs saying something to the effect she is carrying “provisions” and rushes off as Trinidad and the others stare as though they don’t quite believe her.

“Celeste” and Oscar talk briefly as she is taken inside and checked for weapons. Oscar is talking with Viviana when Franco calls giving him the news that Andres is missing. Oscar stares impassively.

Carlos brings Andres food but he isn’t interested. He tries to get him to watch TV when a news report comes on; take one guess who is the lead story?? Yup, Carolina Robles who has been found guilty of fraud. Rather than immediately turning it off, Carlos sits with a sick enjoyment, savoring every syllable. That is, until his name, Carlos Rojas, is blasted all over the screen! Andres screams that his mother is in jail because of him!! Carlos shakes him angrily and walks out.

The two sisters are given only a few minutes together. Forgive me Carolina tells her sister. I think Carolina wants to change places but Celeste reminds her there are cameras, it is impossible. All of a sudden, Oscar rushes in and tells them Andres is missing. The official tries to stop him but Oscar holds her back. Before he leaves, he turns to “Carolina” and says “thank you hermana” which apparently none of the officials caught.

Outside “Celeste” starts hyperventilating that Carlos has her beloved son.

Carlos is on the phone with someone asking about papers. Andres comes rushing out of the room as Carlos threatens him. Again. “Infeliz” Carolina says as Carlos answers his phone. He cooly taunts her as she promises his imminent arrest. I believe he realizes Celeste is the one incarcerated and she panics. Andres, hearing everything on Carlos’ end, pounds on the door for his mother. Carlos is exhausted and sinks against the door. Does he finally realize he has made a mistake??

Oscar, Viviana and “Celeste” confab and take off.

Carlos calls Sara: I can’t add what he says, it is something about documents; he gives her a code. She is conflicted but agrees to do what he asks. He calls her hermosa as she appears a bit hesitant.

Franco tells Manuel, Father Gabriel, Lucas, Hugo and Juanita that he informed Oscar about the abduction. The women from the inn arrive.

“Celeste” and Oscar are at the police station to report Andres’ kidnapping. The detective asks them for information and they give Carlos’ name saying although he is the one who committee fraud, his wife, and Sister Celeste’s sister is consequently in jail. She shows him a picture of Andres.

Moises tells Cárcamo Andres is missing, Erika fills him in. Moises says Andres’ father is responsible for Carolina being in jail.

Gloria tells Juan David and Angelina what happened; Juan David runs off to help. Gloria sits ono the bed with her bundles of joy.

“Carolina” takes the walk of shame down the jail corridor as cat calls ensue as her usual composure seems to be fractured.

I believe Doris and Cárcamo find a note and cash from Sara saying that she is leaving (? I thought she was staying at the inn so am a bit confused here). They rush over to Manuel’s calling for Franco. As they relay the news, Trinidad and the other women pipe up and say they saw Sara leaving with her suitcase. The wheels start turning as Juanita declares that Sara is in league with Carlos.

All of a sudden we see a blast from the past and a happy one! Aide, Carolina’s friend from jail appears, chatting with some other inmates. Shocked, seeing whom she believes to be Carolina, she excitedly runs over and hugs her. Naturally Celeste has a surprised non reaction which puzzles Aide. Celeste quickly catches on though and sort of hits her on the shoulder. Ahhh, but with the good comes the bad as we see the prisoner (and posse) who previously bothered Carolina. She comes up taunting “Carolina” that the princess is back. “Carolina” sasses her back and the woman grabs her by the hair and a brawl almost breaks out, Aide coming to her friend’s defense. The bad girl gives her the I’m watching you look another blows sort of a loathsome kiss. Aide asks who she thinks is her old friend if she is all right.

When “Celeste” and Oscar arrive home, Franco takes responsibility but “Celeste” shakes him off as Moises rushes into her arms.

Father Gabriel and Juan David call Angelina, showing her a picture of Andres on a “have you seen him” poster. She and the girls are doing well. Father Gabriel laments about what has occurred.

Franco says that Carlos must be behind the abduction. “Andre” “Celeste” moans, crying. Erika leads a sad Moises away. Oscar heads out as “Celeste” dissolves in tears.

In the jail cell, “Celeste” is on her knees praying. Her cellmate threatens to punch her if she doesn’t stop and relieves her of her cell phone.

MONTEVERDE #84, Part 4 of 4

At bedtime, Oscar visits an inconsolable “Celeste”. Andres is my life she cries; Oscar vows Andres will be found and returned. “Andres mi amor where are you” she laments.

In the last scene, Carlos enters Andres’ room where covers are placed on the bed. When Carlos pulls them off, there are only pillows on the bed. The smart lad has hidden under the bed and when Carlos crawls under the bed to retrieve him, Andres runs out of the room, grabbing the keys on the other side of the door. The door is shut and he is almost in the clear but bad luck continues its streak. As Andres starts to run out, Sara comes in! The poor lad whom I don’t think has sufficient time to process that Sara and Carlos are in league struggles to get by her. She holds him looking a bit conflicted as he tries to explain as Carlos bellows from the bedroom!

Only a few days ago, I purged names from my cast listing who I assumed were no longer going to appear. Aide was one such casualty. I cannot recall the name of the prisoner who made Carolina’s life miserable.

Carlos is increasingly showing signs is he deranged.

Will Sara finally realize something is off or will she continue her blind allegiance to Carlos??

Proof of Carlos’ guilt that will exonerate Carolina needs to be procured. Whatever happened to the cyber expert and their findings? Could Padilla showing up, evidence in hand, be possible??

Let’s get Andres home and then worry about ensuring the large anvil swaying in the breeze over Carlos’ head falls and hits its mark.

The judge has also ordered the immediate arrest of Carlos Rojas as Carolina's accomplice. Celeste complains that Carlos wasn't any accomplice . He is the one and only guilty party. She is innocent.

Sara tells Carlos that she has to get out of town ASAP because they will probably start seeing her as a suspect in Andrés' disappearance. At the ranch, everyone is very worried. and have mobilized the entire town to look for Andrés.
He informs her that tomorrow they will on their way to Bermuda. As soon as they are there, he promises to send her a plane ticket so she can join them. She is worried about Andrés reaction when he finds out that she colluded with him.
Carlos tells her to rather think that she did it for the boy's own good. Without her help, none of this would have been possible. His heart is bursting with happiness being with his son again! She can only imagine. He tells her to let him know when she gets to Mexico City.

Erika tells Franco that Sara has left. Franco doesn't like Sara's attitude. Instead of helping to look for Andrés she got all defensive as if they were going to accuse of something. Lucía asks what if Sara had something to do with Andrés' disappearance. Erika and Franco agree that they have no way of proving that.

The lawyer explains to Carolina that the judge was very hard on her. She could not understand how she could have so much information about the fraud and not be an accomplice with her husband in the fraud. The lawyer adds that there is an arrest warrant out for Carlos' arrest. The judge will be then able to sort out if they were working together or not.

The lawyer thinks they need to go somewhere else to talk. It isn't smart that they be talking outside of the courthouse where they might be overheard. (DUH!) They decide to go for coffee. After Carolina insists that she must see her sister before she is taken to the prison, the lawyer says she will see what she can do.

Juanita tells them that Carlos is capable of doing anything in order to hurt Carolina.

Lucía tells Rosalía that when she is done with her chemo, she will continue training Aquiles which is giving her something to look forward to.

Sara tells the women she cannot take them to where Andrés went missing because she doesn't know how to get there. Moisés took them.

Carlos and Andrés hear on the tv news that there is a warrant out for Carlos' arrest. Andrés tells his father that he cannot take him out of the country because they are looking for Carlos already! Carlos is sure he will come up with some idea. Andrés says that he should be locked up and not his mother. Carlos answers that Andrés should be locked up for being against him.

Carolina concludes that Carlos is going to try to get Andrés out of the country. Oscar says that won't be so easy with an arrest warrant out for him. It willmake things more complicated. Carolina insists that they do not know Carlos. He will get fake documents. He did it once already. She calls Carlos thinking if he knows about the arrest warrant, he will think twice about trying to leave the country.

In the mean time, Carlos is already on the phone talking to some guy about getting him said false documents today no matter how much they cost as Andrés screams in the background.

Carlos lets Andrés out to use the washroom and warns him not to even think about escaping. There are bars on all the windows.

Carolina calls.and tells Carlos to go to hell. She demands to know where he took Andrés. He tells her to forget about her son. She will never see him again in her life. She tells Carlos not so fast. He needs to let their son go because there is an arrest warrant out for him. He sarcastically thanks her for the suggestion. Where should he deliver Andrés? To the jail where she is locked up,? Or has Celeste taken her place? Carolina feigns ignorance. Carlos says he knows EVERYTHING. He knows that she pretended to be a nun again to go to Monteverde and that Celeste took her place a the convent. He wonders what the judge is gong to think when she finds out that her twin sister is in jail and not her. Andrés runs out of the bathroom screaming for his mother to help him because his father has him locked up in a place near Monteverde. As he throws Andrés back on his bed, he tells him that he is doing this for his own good. Andrés will not stop screaming.

Carolina , Oscar and the lawyer take off to file charges against Carlos for kidnapping and then Oscar and Carolina will FLY back to Monteverde.

Carlos calls Sara, who is already in Zacatillo, and tells her that there is an arrest warrant out for him.He cannot go to jail. Andrés would end up in an orphanage. He got a guy to make some false documents for him and Andrés so they can cross the border but he doesn't dare to go to Zacatillo himself. He needs her to pick up the false documents for him in Zacatillo. Sara is reluctant to get more involved but he talks her into picking up the documents at 7:00 pm at 302 Emiliano Zapata street. She needs to ask for Ramiro Toledo . He will transfer her the money sho she can pay Ramiro. He is so grateful to her and is sure Andrés will shortly be, too. He hangs up with a brewskie in his hand.

Hugo says the guy from the toll booth hasn't seen Carlos and Andrés which means they haven't left Monteverde. Juanita and Franco confirm that Carlos has Andrés.

Oscar, who is identified as Andrés' godfather, asks the police official if he can tell the police in Monteverde about their situation so that they can keep them up to date. The official agrees and goes to get a form for them to fill out.

Cárcamo asks why Carlos would do such a thing. Without missing a beat, Moisés states that Andrés' father is bad. He is responsible for Andrés' mother being in jail.

Sara has effectively checked out surprising Doris and Cárcamo. She left a note saying she had to leave and enough money to pay for her stay. Cárcamo tells Doris that Erika told him how strange Sara has been since Andrés disappeared. She told her she was going to look for Andrés on her own. If that is true, why would she leave Monteverde? Doris concludes that she must know something. They go to tell Franco that Sara has left.

Cárcamo and Doris deliver the check out info on Sara. Franco is convinced that Sara is involved because Moisés told him that Sara split the boys up to look for a kind of bird. She went with Moisés and Andrés was left on his own. When they got back, Andrés was gone. Then Sara had this weird attitude. Juanita is sure she is Carlos' accomplice. Cárcamo tells the group they have to call the police. They cannot be that far away.

The gang leader in jail welcomes "stuck up" Celeste in her own way warning her that things have changed. She might have gotten by last time, but now things are different. The first time she messes up, she will be working for her.

The good father and Juan David are going to go to neighboring parishes and put up the missing posters of Andrés.

Franco tells Oscar and Carolina that Andrés going missing is all his fault. Carolina tells him he isn't at fault for anything. Franco thinks that Sara must surely be involved in Andrés' abduction. Celeste is praying. Her cellmate wakes up and demands her soap. Celeste asks why because she is going to need it. The cellmate says she needs it , too. She tells her to hand it over before she lets her have it. Celeste turns it over as the cellmate tells her to be happy she didn't take her towel, too. The cellmate happily sniffs the soap as she returns to her bed. Celeste is left wondering . . .

So much to think about! Ah, names of characters! I am looking at my chicken scratches here and think it was something like Artida? . . . but don't quote me.

The cyber expert disappeared as did the USB. It seemed like Carlos got rid of him/it some how. Murder wasn't exactly mentioned but it wasn't ruled out.

Too bad Andrés cannot think fast enough and escape Sara by kicking and biting her. He probably could out run both his father and her being more used to running around outside. He is supposed to be eleven. His endurance would be endless.

In the second to last scene where they are all discussing the Andrés situation, Moisés looked like a sad doll sitting next to Celeste. I had to laugh.

I did not realize a warrant was issued for Carlos. A bit of a relief.

"He informs her that tomorrow they will on their way to Bermuda. As soon as they are there, he promises to send her a plane ticket so she can join them". Yes, pigs will be flying as well I sniff.

"Sara is reluctant to get more involved" - a little late for that isn't it? She is now at a pivotal crossroad. Andres' anguish is real and palpable. Will it make her realize Carlos is lying or will she continue to aid Carlos in his insane, illegal scheme? Watching Carlos sit back with his smarmy grin, having Sara do his dirty work, "brewski" (good one) in hand was nauseating.

At least clever Moises ending up telling that Sara had purposefully split the boys up.

Thank you for revealing Celeste had her soap, rather than her phone taken! Celeste's cellmate looked as though she'd scored a bar of gold! Truthfully, quite sad...

Andres' loved ones want to find him so desperately! But they have no idea where to look and time is the enemy.

I fear what happens next depends on Sara. I will be on the edge of my seat tonight.

I forgot the cyber expert vanished along with the evidence. I'm still wondering how Carlos will be found guilty without anything to prove him culpable. I'm still holding out hope Padilla made a copy of the USB and will show up last minute. Surely wishful thinking.

I like your scenario: "Too bad Andrés cannot think fast enough and escape Sara by kicking and biting her. He probably could out run both his father and her..." which would be perfect! With three epis left, I'm thinking Andres' abduction won't be wrapped up until the end of Friday's or beginning of Monday's show. That would follow the telenovela formula of angst and agony until the last possible moment leaving only part of the last episode to showcae the inevitable happy ending :)

Thanks, Diana and Jarifa, truely an edge of your seat episode. I was surprised Carlos called Sarah for help. I really thought when he said he’d send her a plane ticket he was done with her. I’m thinking he needed her because he can’t be seen. I was also surprised she knew where the cabin was. I’m hoping the police plaster her picture around with a “wanted for kidnapping” above her picture. She deserves to lose her job and any reputation she had. She also needs jail time.

The bar girl knows that Paloma is love Renato Nd threatened her. This girl loves to snarl and play tough.I think that Palomas sister in law Consuela knows what is going on .

I am confused as to what Carlos and Sara's plan actually is. I also thought he was going to fend her off by assuring her he'd send her a plane ticket which he never actually intended to do. Then, like you, I was shocked that all of a sudden she shows up at the cabin! You are right of course in that especially now as he is a wanted man, he will hardly be able to travel with Andres let alone board a plane. I gather he will want Sara to take Andres to their final destination and then catch up with them. That is unless of course there is an immediate surge of publicity that Sara is wanted for kidnapping making her also unable to whisk Andres away.

I haven’t commented because I lost my cheat sheet of names. So I’m looking at an old recap. I’m enjoying this show. I wasn’t at all surprised that Mateo caused Ximena’s abortion. I was expecting him to, but after he saw the ultrasound I was hoping he’d be happy for Ximena and feel something toward a baby on the ultrasound. He’s scary and dangerous.

I’m not surprised that Luciano is sticking by Larissa. I am surprised the mom I has turned on her, and feels her son is a traitor. But Inigo got what he wanted and is now top man in their business. Nuria is saying she is still her friend, but we’ll see if she gets her money back. Larissa’s jewels must be worth a lot if she plans to give back some of the money to Luciano and pay back Nuria too. She’ll also need to get a job. I really thought she was more attracted to Inigo but wanted Luciano for the status. We’ll see if she sticks with him.

I’m trying to figure out if Aitana really is Zac’s novia or is just pretending. I know he loves her but I don’t feel she loves him.

Liz, the noviazgo is a ruse. A couple shows back Ximena came upon Zacarias and Aitana in a field somewhere, Zac touching her face (?) and saying “mi amor.” All three freaked out and Zac and Aitana quickly decided best to deal with Ximena’s discovery by posing as official novios. I think they were worried that secrecy might jeopardize Aitana’s grand plan. Aitana marched off to announce to Mom asap. Though dubious about the relationship, Mom accepted it, as long as didn’t interfere with Aitana’s work. All the brothers know, and Zac told his family.

Larisa knew her dad had financial problems, but didn’t suspect how bad it was. She thought he had liquidity issues that would resolve. At least so she explained to Luciano and Nuria, both of whom believed her. Luciano keeps saying she’s a victim of her dad. Larisa didn’t know her dad had plans for both of them to flee the country right after Luciano’s bank transfer, and she refused to go with dad because she still wants to marry Luciano. Belinda supports Luciano sticking with Larisa—if that’s what he wants, so not hating Larisa so much. Yes, Bruno backsliding to drink because he was devastated by the fake news Zac and Aitana are a couple. His motive for giving it up was to be worthy of Aitana.

Susan, is the bar girl Renato’s girlfriend and a waitress or does she charge for her “services”? I didn’t recognize Ana Berta Espín ( Consuelo) She looks good but she looks like she got some work done. I saw bits and pieces last night like the bar girl threatening Paloma with a knife to her throat. At least Paloma stood up to her. Barbie was not happy when Renato refused to tell her how he got the scars on his back. Renato said something like they made him what he was today. I am not a Peniche fan so I was happy seeing him cast as the villain. Guess I haven’t watched enough to recognize Marta Julia as Georgina Gustavo (Peniche’s) wifey. I am only watching a little here and there.

I noticed that Barbie ( I like it!) Had a drawing of Renato''s scorpion tattoo on a small piece of paper on her bed that increasingly lustful Palomar found .
Martha Julia has been a bad girl who n so many novels . That outfit she had on to seduce her hubby was something else . She is 56 !!! Wow.
