#28 part 1
Rewind: Kazim comes to the yali and heads for Seyfer’s room.
The sisters talk about the future. Seyran wants to shop till they drop. Suna jokes that they will have to roll her up in a carpet to take her in and out of the yali. Seyran tells her not to worry. Everything will be fixed.
The door handle rattles. Kazim calls out for Seyran. The sisters are stunned. Kazim calls out—Ferit, open the door. Suna panics—he found me. Seyran stashes Suna behind the curtain where the clothes racks are.
Seyran opens the door. Kazim has a menacing look. She’s sorry she didn’t open right away, she was changing clothes. He enters the room and looks around. Where’s your husband? Downstairs, she says, he’ll be back soon. Great, great… Kazim says under his breath. He approaches Seyran and slaps her, knocking her down. He kneels over her, I’ll ask this once, where is your sister?
Suna is huddled in a corner and covers her mouth with her hands to keep from making a sound. Seyran sits up and stutters, I don’t know Dad. Kazim has a murderous look. Seyran lifts herself up. Think carefully, he growls. Seyran is terrified.
Meanwhile, Ferit and Sultan talk on the side of the house. He tells her if anything changes or something else happens, send me a message or tell Abidin. Sultan asks, what does the new guy have to do with this? Ferit says that’s another matter. Leave it alone. Sultan says she knows Ferit’s tone and his look very well. He tells her she better forget it.
Sultan pushes for more. Why does your mother ask about him? Let it go, Ferit warns her. But if you insist, keep Dicle away from him. She wonders what Dicle has to do with it. I have my reasons, Ferit replies, just do as I say. She stops him from leaving. If you know something, tell me. What does Dicle have to do with this? He tells her not to worry, he will let her know if something happens. Just keep Dicle away from him.
Sultan stops him again. She puts her hands on him and asks, when will you come to me? He responds, don’t be ridiculous, that’s impossible. Yusuf finds them. Sultan has her hands all over Ferit and he’s trying to remove them. Yusuf hurries towards them and calls Ferit—Kazim Bey is here. He claims he’s here to see his daughter. He’s going to kill Seyran. Hurry and save her. Ferit takes off.
Kazim warns Seyran, have you thought about what I’ll do to your mother if Suna doesn’t come back? What I’d do to you or what I’d do to your mother? Did you think you’d get rid of me once you got married? Seyran trembles, dad I really don’t know.
Kazim grabs Seyran by the throat and pushes her down on the bed. Don’t lie to me. Where’s your sister! I know everything. Talk, girl! He chokes her. You’re trying to dishonor me! Where is your sister? He lets go so she can speak. She tries to catch her breath. I don’t know, Dad. He orders her to sit up and look at him. Then he slaps her down. Do I have to kill you? Are you trying to turn me into a murderer?
Suna is horrified and terrified listening to this. Seyran gasps and cries. Kazim talks to himself, I need to calm down. He turns to Seyran, alright, you won’t talk. Keep your mouth shut. I’ll teach you to keep your mouth shut. He starts to choke her again. Are you trying to turn me into a murderer?
#28 part 2
Suna sees a dumbbell and reaches for it. We see Ferit bounding up the stairs. Seyran struggles as Kazim continues to choke her. Suna quietly comes from her hiding place and strikes her father on the head, knocking him out. Seyran gags and coughs. Suna helps her up.
Ferit has entered the room and he’s shocked. Seyran…? [did he see anything?] Kazim is out cold on the bed. There’s blood. [this was the end of Turkish ep 9 out of 36 in the first season.]
Kazim wakes up in the bathroom. The first thing he sees is Ferit leaning over him. Kazim baba, are you alright? Kazim is disoriented, who are you? It’s me, Ferit, your SIL. Oh, you scared me, Kazim replies and looks around. What’s happening. Has a war begun? Are we hiding out? You’re in our bathroom, Ferit replies, you had an accident. The light fixture fell on you as you were talking to Seyran.
Flashback. Seyro asks Ferit, what are you doing? I’m dealing with the unexpected accident your father had, he says. Ferit knocks down the fixture over the bed. End flash.
Ferit helps Kazim up. The lamp fell on me, he asks, was a rock in it? I almost died. He’s holding the back of his head. Ferit gives him a towel. You’ll be fine, let’s get out of the bathroom. Kazim complains of the pain. Ferit checks the wound for Kazim. Ha, Kazim tells him to blow on it. Ferit says relax, you’re an old veteran, you’ll be fine. He guides Kazim out of the bathroom.
Kazim looks at the ceiling and the fixture. He says, it hit me like a ton of bricks. He looks over at Seyran and she flinches. He asks, how are you, Seyran? Are you okay? We couldn’t keep talking. She says, I’m okay. I hope you feel better. Ferit asks him, should we take you to the hospital? No need, Kazim replies, they will take care of me at home.
We see Suna is back in her hiding place.
A much calmer Kazim says he came to ask about Suna. I couldn’t find her anywhere. I’m really worried about her. He looks at his watch. It’s late, I should go. He slowly gets up from the chair. Ferit says, let us take care of you first, so no one sees you like this.
Kazim snaps, no, it’s not necessary. Nothing to worry about. He looks at Seyran—right, daughter? You won’t say anything, right Seyran? She looks down and stays silent. He asks Ferit for water. There is none. Ferit leaves to get water from the kitchen! [Why would he leave them with Kazim?]
Suna is panicking. Seyran is frightened. Kazim sneers. He walks towards Seyran then sits. Do you see what happened? What fell on my head? Did you see? If it weren’t for that, you’d be dead. Now I know where your sister is. You… you know everything.
Kazim gets up. Stay silent. Don’t say a word. But if your sister doesn’t come out of that hole where she’s hiding… if she doesn’t come home tomorrow… First, you, because you’ve been talking a lot, then your mother, and then your sister. You will all get what you deserve. Bilesin.
Ferit arrives with the water. Kazim says, let’s drink to the dead. He opens the bottle and takes a big gulp of it.
Kazim comes down to the living room with Seyfer. He greets the Korhans. Orhan comes to him. Gulgun says they were waiting for him to come downstairs for dinner. No thanks, Kazim replies. Gulgun asks, should we get something for you? Tea? Coffee?
#28 part 3
No thanks, Kazim says, they are waiting for me at home. This was just a quick visit, I had to talk to my daughter. I won’t bother you. He invites the ladies to come to his house sometime. He says goodbye to Ferit. Then to Seyran—you understood what I told you, right? Take good care of yourself. Orhan and Ifakat are watching carefully. Kazim leaves.
Gulgun asks Seyfer if they want dinner. Ferit says they will eat in their room. They leave. Ifakat thinks something is up. Kazim wouldn’t leave so quickly. Gulgun thinks that’s for the best. Orhan quips, I wish all his visits were like this. [they should know.]
Hattuc brings cologne to Esme. She says, Kazim is coming. Don’t get upset with him again. Esme rubs the cologne into her hands. Hattuc asks, do you feel better? How could I, Esme responds, do you think Kazim found Suna? What if he hurt the girls? Well, Seyran is no longer alone, Hattuc says, I’m sure someone defended her. The doorbell rings and Hattuc sends Esme to the kitchen.
Hattuc opens the door for Kazim and he gripes, what took you? He holds the back of his head. He asks her to check his head. She exclaims, what have you done? Did you hurt the girl? How can I hurt her if I can’t find her, he replies. If I could find Suna… If only I could find Suna… I’d know what to do. He kicks his shoes off and shouts for Esme.
You said Suna was with Seyran, Kazim recalls. He throws a couch pillow at her. Esme claims she didn’t say that. Hattuc steps in, she lost her mind for a second. She just thought Suna was with Seyran. What’s the big deal? Without thinking, you go somewhere and come back like this. God saved you.
Kazim sits up, I think so too. I would have been a child killer. God saved me from it. He points at Esme, but I’ll still get even with you. Those screams, those complaints. You broke the handle on my favorite frying pan. Just wait. I’ll beat you, get some rest, and then I’ll keep beating you.
Hattuc asks, does Seyran know nothing about Suna? She says she doesn’t know, Kazim replies, do you believe her? I’m sure she knows everything. And based on what I told her, Suna will be back here in the morning. Hattuc hopes Suna is safe.
Kazim says, I’ll find her. He turns to Esme—look at her face. She’s obviously lying and tried to fool me with her lies and her tears like a crazy woman. He shouts, go make me coffee! He throws another couch pillow at her. Kazim tells Hattuc he never felt so close to death.
Ferit is on his phone in the bed, and the sisters are out on the terrace. Seyran brings Suna a blanket and gives her a hug and a kiss. How are you? You didn’t eat much. I couldn’t, Suna replies. What kind of life are we living? Seyran says, we’re both fine now. And our mother, Suna asks. Seyran thinks she’ll be fine, too.
Seyran smiles. We did something impossible today. This wasn’t fate. We made it possible. We changed it. We didn’t give up. We did something for ourselves today. And it will continue like this.
Suna wonders how. Seyran thinks. I’ll go to school. Although I haven’t taken the special test, I’ll register anyway. I’ll tell them when the time is right. Know why? Because I’m ready for anything. Seyran tells Suna to follow her heart from now on. If you want to get married, do it. But marry someone you love, okay? I’m very afraid, Suna says. I am, too, Seyran replies, but we won’t be tortured anymore. We won’t let it happen. We did it. We succeeded. They hug.
#28 part 4
Ferit comes to the terrace. Come inside, you’ll get sick. I can’t take care of you both all the time. Suna tells Seyro, he’s a little crazy but he’s a good man. Seyro sort of agrees in this case.
The girls come back inside. Ferit says, after what the Almighty sent us, we need to take a break, don’t we? Who’s going to sleep where? Suna says it doesn’t matter to her, she can sleep anywhere. Seyran gives Suna PJs and says, don’t listen to him. We will sleep together.
Suna goes to change. Ferit tells Seyran, I’ll have to sleep on the couch as long as your sister is here, right? You asked for it, she replies. It’s okay, he flirts, your sister will eventually leave and we’ll be alone. Don’t talk too much, she answers.
Early morning and Suna is awake. She sneaks downstairs and out the door. She’s startled by Yusuf. He says, what are you doing here so early? Sultan comes out of her quarters and sees them. Suna tells Yusuf she needs to get out of here. Please help me. You can’t tell anyone, promise me. He promises and Suna tells him she ran away from home. Swear you won’t tell.
Yusuf asks if Seyran knows. She doesn’t know I’m leaving and she shouldn’t. Please help me, quick! He says, when I’m talking to the guard, walk behind me. We see Sultan still watching them. Yusuf tells Suna to wait for him outside though, he wants to talk. He talks to the guard and waves Suna on. Sultan sees Suna run for the exit. Yusuf follows her.
Suna thanks Yusuf. He wishes he could do more. She says he can. He wants to know what’s going on. Tell me and I will help. Suna tells him to leave. Everything began to change here. Seyran has a new life. She and Ferit get along well, they understand each other. They are becoming a real husband and wife. Don’t create a problem when everything is going well.
Yusuf can’t believe this. My Seyran doesn’t love that man. She can’t. It won’t work no matter what. I’ve seen things, Suna replies, and that’s why I’m telling you. Why am I going back to my father’s house? Why am I going back on my own? Because I love Seyran so much. I don’t want them to hurt her. Even I have no place in her life now. What can I say about you?
You’re wrong, Yusuf replies, but you’ll get it too. You’ll come with me and Seyran. You’ll see. We will make our dreams come true. Yusuf flags a cab for Suna she gets in. He gives the driver money—take her wherever she wants.
Seyran is still asleep. Ferit finds a letter from Suna. Ah, Suna, what did you do? He wakes Seyran. Your sister…. Suna is gone. She reads the letter: Seyran, bitanem (my one and only). I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be part of your story. Now you have a brand new life. But I’m like a kite, flying from side to side. I brought my problems to you. I thought for a long time and decided to return home. I will accept everything my father says. Any other path would harm everyone even more. Don’t worry about me. I love you very much. Your sister, Suna.
Seyran is heartbroken. He will kill her, Seyran says, my father will kill her on sight. Ferit sits next to her. Don’t be ridiculous, he can’t do anything. He just wants Suna to get married. Stay calm. Seyran says, what is she going to do? Let’s think this over calmly, Ferit replies. She says, how could I not see what was on her mind? She’s been through so much in so little time. Of course she can’t handle this.
Ferit takes Seyran’s hand between his hands. She doesn’t pull it away. He tells her to call her family first. Let’s find out if she really went back home. Then we will think of something. She smiles and thanks him. Sometimes… but only sometimes, you make me feel better, she says. Very funny, he replies.
#28 part 5
Yusuf approaches Sultan in the kitchen. Do you know why Kazim Bey came to the yali yesterday? How would I know, she replies, maybe he missed his daughter. Just get to the point. He asks, what were you doing with Ferit Bey so late last night? She replies, what are you trying to say? I was wondering if it was related to Seyran Hanim or her father, he says.
Why do you care, Sultan scolds, you better not turn against me. Mind your own business. He says, when I saw you, you were… She interrupts, what did you see? I just asked that’s all, he replies. Don’t ask, she says, or I can ask you too—why were you helping Seyran’s sister to leave the yali this morning? Would you like me to ask you what she was doing here?
Yusuf is speechless. Sultan says, listen carefully, Yusuf. If you want to keep working in this yali, you won’t hear or see anything. She waves her paring knife in front of him to make a point. This is my first and last warning. If you interfere in what is not your concern, they will cut your throat. Understood?
Pelo’s doorbell rings. It’s cousin Burak. She’s surprised. He says he’ll be coming by more often. It’s a delicate matter. He’s fallen for a girl. I love her very much, he says. Pelo is happy for him. She wants to hear all about it. Pelo gets a call from Ferit. Ha, ha, she gives him a heads up that Burak has come.
Ferit tells her that things got complicated. Suna returned home. I wanted you to know. Pelo asks why. It’s a long story, he says, it doesn’t matter. He asks why Burak came. She explains it’s about a girl. He wants to introduce her to me. We will probably go to Etiler. Why don’t you come over? Burak whispers to Pelo, let it be just you and me. Ferit says he can’t go anyway but take a picture. I’d like to see you. Kisses.
Burak asks, he’s not coming, is he? Pelo asks, are you ashamed to see him? It’s not that, he answers, but we will be out in daytime, and you will be in public. If someone photographs you, my uncle and aunt will kill you. You know this better than anyone.
Uh oh, Halis is drumming his fingers at the table. He asks Seyran, how is your father? She hesitates with her answer. He’s fine… fine. He only came because he wanted to talk. He didn’t want to stay longer and bother the family. But he sent greetings. Thanks, Halis replies, I hope it wasn’t anything important. It really isn’t, she says.
Halis continues, I’ve received the greetings, but the other issue was not as important as I had heard, huh? Seyran doesn’t understand. Halis asks, why did your sister come out of this house in secret this morning? Surprised looks all around the table. Seyfer look down. Ifakat looks at Sultan, who looks pleased.
#28 part 6
Ferit tries to speak but Halis shuts him down. Halis asks, do you think I wouldn’t know? Are you not ashamed of breaking the rules of this house? Don’t you know that no one can enter or leave this house without us knowing? Scolding them like children doesn’t work, he notes, speaking as adults doesn’t work either. Fingers drumming on the table again. What am I going to do with you, Halis says with disgust.
Grandfather, we are very sorry, Ferit says, but the situation is not as you think. It’s a family problem. It’s private. I wish I could explain it to you, if you allow me. Halis takes a sip of tea and nods. He states, everyone has a responsibility here. Never think I’m saying this just to a single person. He gets up from the table, and everyone rises.
Ifakat breaks down at the table. I can’t deal with all this. I can’t, she whimpers. I can’t control anything or anyone. Ferit, why didn’t you tell me? Children, Gulgun says, what you did was not appropriate. Orhan says to Ferit, grandpa is old. We try to keep him healthy, but he finds out about everything before us. Why do you keep doing this, son?
Sultan looks a bit guilty now. I feel useless in this house, Ifakat cries, look at the position I’m in. Are you doing this on purpose? Gulgun signals for her children to leave the table. Orhan tries to calm Ifakat. You know this is typical of my father. Is he wrong, Ifakat answers, he wants only one thing from me. To control everyone.
Gulgun asks, why do you need to control everyone? Why do you insist on such responsibility? Orhan tries to stop Gulgun. She continues, did I say something wrong? Ifakat blames Gulgun for the problems with Ferit and Seyran. If you had done what was necessary, I wouldn’t have to clean up your mess. Gulgun rolls her eyes.
And we are out.
Jueves We’re back to Antonia getting the third degree from Cruz and Dante. She tells Cruz they are hiding something. She’s already brought up Cripta and Cocúla roaming the streets. When Cruz blames this on El Az, Antonia says this doesn’t explain how the two of them found her.
Leonor gripes to the PR guy about Graciela. She wants to get it on in her own house because, as she’s hinted before, her bed is only used for sleeping.
El Az grills Graciela about her work with Cruz. It bugs him she didn’t tell him. He’s clearly madly in love with her and has a tiny niggling worry she might like Cruz a bit too much.
Still wandering the streets, Renata speaks with a large woman at a bus stop. She recognizes Renata. Renata runs…right into Lobo. They return to Lorena’s house. But the woman follows. She calls the cops and asks about the $1 million reward.
It looks like César Cruz and the son of El Az with the pierced eyebrow show signs of an attraction. When César gets home, he sees his mother’s lover give her a kiss goodbye.
Adela shows Antonia the doctor’s confession.
The smoke bomb guy shows Cruz some proof that Dante set up the “attack”.
Antonia isn’t playing. She confronts Dante about making her father ill. She calls him a psychopath. He grabs hold of her, and she pulls her gun. Cruz appears and Antonia shows him the video of the doctor who adulterated Eugenio’s drugs. Dante is handcuffed.
Cruz tells Dante he has one last chance. He’s gotten the call about where Lobo is hiding and sends Dante after him. Cruz also calls El Az about locating Renata. I notice he’s only sending crooks and crooked cops. He wants to grab the girl for himself to get his hands on the money. El Az takes his sons along despite Remedios complaining about it.
Dante points his gun at Lorena, the Pharmacist, but Renata spies him.
Antonia has managed to get some guards for Eugenio. She tells him about Dante.
Lorena pretends to want the $1 million to gain time. Lobo shows up. Dante grabs Lorena and points the gun at her head. He’s so nuts he tells Lobo that Antonia and he will be happy together if he kills Lobo. Renata sacrifices herself for Lobo, letting Dante grab her.
Remedios lets it slip that El Az is involved with Cruz. Graciela’s eyes widen.
Lobo asks Renata to remember their training. She elbows Dante and does a somersault away from him. Dante is killed. Whew! Goodbye, rabid dog!
Lobo, Lorena, and Renata get in the car to leave, but El Az and several cars full of accomplices arrive and block him in.
Guillermina comes to see Eugenio.
El Az’s possibly gay son gets out of the car and raises a gun. Lobo says something about El Az’s sons and distracts El Az. Turns out Lorena is a good shot. A big gunfight ensues. I suspect Lobo will get away with Renata, but I don’t see how.
Novelera: WOW! Talk about lots of explosive twists & turns from last night's episode. Thank you very much for the recap of last night's episode! 😎👍
My personal thoughts:
*Leonor is a full-fledged SEX ADDICT & she's super horny 24/7.
*Might want to double check to make sure Scumbag Dante is really dead.
*I also noticed Slippery Cruz keeps sending in dirty cops & associates after Lobo & Renata.
*Lorena: Fast Forward!
*Seriously hoping Antonia did background checks on those new security guards. Just saying!
*Gracelia keeps digging herself bigger holes & it's NOT getting better for Buji Goldie Locks.
Steve - Dante looks pretty dead to me. Saves Cruz the trouble later. Also Cruz is putting the smoke bomb thrower in "witness protection" - not sure the guy will survive that. However, I don't know that Azufrero's impetuous son's wound is mortal. Need to have him alive to have more story with Cruz's younger son.
Ep#28
March 27, 2026
Lobo and Lore are in a shootout attack with the Azufrero gang. Azu's younger son is shot in the thigh. Azu and gang leave just before Cruz and the police show up, as Azu and Cruz can't be seen working together. Lobo turns himself in. Antonia, coming with the police takes charge of Renata.
Renata spends time being evaluated by a doctor and psychiatrist. She stays the first night with Antonia and Adela. The next day Graciela comes to the Fiscalia to collect Renata, as she has legal custody. She will bring Renata home with her. The Azufreros will have to hide (somewhere else?). - I can't believe the psychiatrist is ok with sending Renata to the house in which she survived a violent attack and where here parents are in tombs.
Cruz has a press conference announcing the capture of Lobo and the recovery of Renata. He actually starts the clapping for his own announcement. Alejandro de la Madrid is having fun.
Lobo has a lot of enemies in the prison, because he is an ex-cop. Eugenio is not happy to see him. The guards are nasty, as are the other prisoners. The only reason Lobo is still alive is because he is key to helping to solve the riddle of Gustavo's treasure. Adela will be his lawyer so Eugenio fires her from being Eugenio's lawyer. Cruz hires Eugenio's buddy Ramos to spy on Lobo. They are in the same large cell room.
Two blasts from Lobo's past: First Fercho comes to the prison to visit. There are no charges against Fer and Santi, due to some good legal work by some lawyer. They are "clean".
Second, remember that pimp sex-trafficker in the first episode that Lobo rescued a youn lady from? He is in the cell yard when Lobo arrives. He decides to have a word with Lobo, or rather, give him a beatdown. ( Cruz is going to have a hard time keeping Lobo alive in this prison. ) End episode.
Anastasia: Awesome job with the recap of last night's episode. My personal thoughts:
*I've got a gut feeling Renata will NOT be enjoying living with Buji Goldie Locks.
*Lobo's Horrible, Dreadful, Terrible, Pathetic Bad Day continues.
*Eugenio needs to get over his hostility towards Lobo.
*Slippery Cruz is determined to become President of Mexico by any means necessary.
*Antonia: What are we're going to do about you?
*I agree with you about the stupid psychiatrist allowing Renata to go with Goldie Locks & especially to the house, where the chaos all began.
#29 – Part 1 of 3
There’s a repeat of Halis asking Seyran questions about her family with the express purpose of catching Ferit and Seyran in a lie. Then he drops the bomb about Suna sneaking out of his yali in the early morning. He leans on them, asking how they could think he wouldn’t find out that someone broke the rule of no one entering or leaving his house without his permission.
Ferit says it’s not what he thinks. It’s a private family matter, and he’d like to explain it. Halis nods in agreement and leaves the table.
Ifakat starts crying, a bit hysterical about Ferit not letting her know (about Suna being there). [Maybe it’s because he knew she’d run straight to Halis.] Orhan reprimands Ferit for upsetting the old man. Ifakat is extremely upset. [And I’m wondering if she’s faking it.] Gulgun asks her why she takes on this responsibility. Clearly {at least to me) saying: butt out of everyone’s business. Ifakat lobs it back. If you did your job as Ferit’s mother, it wouldn’t have happened.
At Casa Şanlı, Hattuç and Esme talk after Esme, of course, waits on Auntie. Mercifully Kazim is still in bed. Esme says something fell on his head yesterday. [Dare we hope for a serious brain injury and/or a lengthy coma?] The doorbell rings. As always, answering the door falls to Esme. It’s Suna. Esme is sad, realizing the plan failed somehow. Ever the collaborator Hattuç asks if Suna is trying to turn her father into a murderer. The three women hear Kazim slowly descending the stairs.
We get another flashback of Suna and Seyran’s ghastly childhood. Seyran was seen by Kazim committing the unpardonable sin of playing outside. Suna tells her to hide. Kazim, without the grey in his hair and bristle brush moustache, takes sadistic pleasure in trying to get Suna to give up her sister’s location. Are you teaming up against me? Who’s helping you with this, your mother? We never seem to get an episode with Kazim when he fails to blame one or both of his children for forcing him to kill her.
Kazim approaches Suna and asks where she was. She admits she was with Seyran when he came to the Korhan house. She was afraid. She does the hand kiss and forehead touch, trembling.
Hattuç seems to grow a spine. She tells Kazim he’ll never get her blessing again if he lays one finger on Suna. She’s here. She apologized. Don’t touch her. He agrees. After Suna goes upstairs, he remarks that at least she came back.
#29 – Part 2 of 3
Suna tells Esme in her bedroom that she had no choice. Her father tried to kill Seyran. [Just like when they were children, Suna took the heat to protect her younger sister’s better life.] When Suna asks, Esme lies that she wasn’t beaten. [What happened to the bruising and split lip we saw earlier?] Esme goes on to tell her about going crazy in the kitchen the night before. Esme thinks he didn’t hurt Suna because he’s mellowing with age. [Ha!] Suna laughs, relishing the idea of her mother’s rant in the kitchen, actually breaking something. But then she thinks about marrying “that man” and dissolves in tears. I can’t stand to think of his touching me.
Ferit is wonderful in his appeal to his grandfather. He takes part of the blame for taking the sisters out on the town, which resulted in Kazim deciding to marry her off. Her life was going to be ruined, and that’s why I hid her. Halis, still angry, asks why Ferit could hide this from them. Ferit says that he’s sorry, but Halis gets angry and then he gets scared. That’s why he kept quiet. They’re my family too. Seyran loves her sister very much. And, if Suna is to marry, it should be with someone worthy of the Korhan family, someone who could join us at the dinner table. You know how Kazim is. He’s unpredictable. [Ferit keeps from saying that his father-in-law is a brute. I suspect he didn’t really see Kazim choking Seyran.]
Ferit says it’s for the best for his marriage and the family to help Suna. We can see Halis softening and, just a bit, admiring his grandson. He finally smiles and says that Ferit spoke wisely. He’ll handle it. Tell your wife to breathe easier.
Halis tells Latif to get this car ready. We’re going to visit Kasim’s house once again. [From the expression on Halis’s face, I think he’s also thinking about seeing Hattuç.]
Gulgun is with Orhan, just the two of them, in the Living Room. She asks whether he could find a job for Yusuf in the business. Orhan asks if Yusuf did something wrong. She says she doesn’t like the idea of Seyran’s relative doing menial work. [That’s how Yusuf wormed his way in, saying he was a cousin.] She goes on to say his attitude bothers her. Orhan asks if he’s a gossip. How well do we know him? We see Decle listening in as Orhan agrees to find Yusuf something to do in the business.
Ah, Ferit! Just when I’m feeling like a proud mother, you torture Seyran by coming to their bedroom looking miserable. She’s dying of curiosity. He finally tells her Halis will help. Seyran is overjoyed. Then Ferit says that there’s a “but”, a condition. What? That Ferit gives him a grandchild, continues the Korhan line. Seyran starts laughing. He tells her to go ask Halis himself, knowing she’d never dare. Ferit goes on and on. Halis wants to see a child while he’s still living. Ferit starts to go take a shower, barely suppressing his grin. And Seyran finally agrees. But she adds that Halis must prevent her sister from getting married. This is a piece of cake for Ferit, as he already got that assurance.
Ferit turns around, all smiles. Of course he’ll do it. He just wants a grandchild. I didn’t do this just to have babies with you. He tells her to get ready to go out and says that she has a wonderful husband.
#29 – Part 3 of 3
From Ferit’s attractive, rather triumphant face we’re rapidly switched to Kazim brooding. He’s bugging Hattuç about calling the matchmaker. His phone rings. Latif is calling to say that Halis will be visiting. Kazim is over the moon and tells Hattuç that Halis Aga is coming. It might be to announce their mansion. He buzzes around, getting ready. Hattuç risks a small smile.
Esme humbly begs Hattuç to use her cell phone to call Seyran. She takes the phone to Suna, saying that Halis is coming, and Suna should ask Seyran what she knows. Suna assures Seyran Kazim didn’t hurt her. And Yusuf helped her get away. Seyran says that Halis will convince their father not to marry Suna off. Suna’s face lights up, and she tells Esme the news. Suna and Esme are SO happy and begin to prepare for the visitor.
At a restaurant Burak is talking on his phone to Pelin’s mother, his aunt. Something’s afoot. Pelin takes a selfie with Burak that shows their location and sends it to Ferit. Burak’s new girlfriend, Yasemin, arrives with a guy named Serter.
In the car Ferit explains to Abidin why he and Seyran didn’t have him drive. We soon gather that Abidin has told Ferit about Yusuf helping Suna get away. Ferit begins a jealous rant. When Seyran tells him he’s wearing her out with this, he remarks that his blood sugar is low. He wants pizza.
When Seyran and Ferit get to the pizzeria, Ferit texts Pelin. He’s verbally jousting with Seyran and then looks at his phone. No reply. He sees Serter admiring Pelin. Seyran overhears the four at the other table and gets it right away. Now I know why Sr. Ferit craved pizza. He starts to get up to say hello, and Seyran says they seem to be having a fine time. Do you know the guys? He mentions them.
It seems Seyran is enjoying getting a bit of her own back after yielding about producing a grandchild and putting up with a jealous rant in the car. She tells him to call Pelin. He’s backed into a corner and does so. She does not answer. Ferit can’t believe she ignored his call.
He walks over there and Burak introduces Serter. Ferit says he called, but she didn’t answer. Pelin is very nervous. Ferit wants to leave. Seyran crosses her arms and says she wants pizza. Ferrit orders a margherita pizza to go!
Thanks, Anastasia.
I was surprised they caught Lobo. I kept expecting some plot twist where he'd get away and Cruz would be apoplectic.
I hadn't even thought about Renata returning to the house where a ton of bad guys were trying to capture her. The girl is wicked smart. I don't think El Azufrero and his family are going to hide from her. Do I remember correctly that Antonia was going to come along to help Renata with the transition to living with her tia? If that's what happened, she might discover who's there besides Graciela.
I don't like the wolf being in a cage. I'm 100% sure he's not going to die in prison, but I am a bit worried about Dante's sort of dying curse that he wouldn't make it to the end.
Come on, writers, get Antonia to the prison to tell her father Lobo is innocent.
I think the beeped thing was when Remedios yelled at El Az that his son could have been hit in the family jewels.
Wow, these self-absorbed parents forgot their younger son's birthday. The elder remembered. They seem to sort of be redeeming Ignacio with his love for Sué and concern for his brother.
I know, I know, it's a telenovela. But it's seeming more ridiculous every episode that Cruz continues to have a respectable image. I can think of 10 characters already who know the truth about him. Now Eugenio's protector also knows Cruz is crooked.

Thank you, novelera.
So, it was a mix of “divine intervention” and Kazim keeping up appearances that ultimately kept him from killing his daughters.
As I mentioned in my recap, Ferit appeared in the room after Suna knocked out Kazim and that was the end of a Turkish episode. We were left wondering for a week if Ferit saw what preceded it. He didn’t. I think he would have killed Kazim himself if he saw him choking Seyran. Our chopped up episodes don’t always have the same cliffhanger tension as the originals, but the good side is that we don’t have to wait a week to find out.
Yeah, Halis will take any opportunity to see Hattuc. He definitely wants her to stay in Istanbul.
I can do #30 for the Monday page.
Interesting, Dondi, that our Telemundo episodes ended up leaving us not with the major cliffhanger that the usually preferable Turkish one did! We are so lucky to get your information from the source!
I enjoy watching Hattuc and Halis.
I wonder if Kazim can get some help for his anger. He has skills in negotiation (manipulation) and doesn’t miss much. He did educate his daughters while treating them terribly. He is interesting to me! The actor is marvelous! How can he keep a straight face?!!!
Thanks for summaries and comments!
