#41 part 1

Rewind: Seyran stops Ferit from going to the boarding gate. She makes the case for him to stay. He gives his reasons for leaving and wonders why she’s so fixed on making him stay. She is adamant, I don’t want you to leave, so you’re not leaving, okay? We pick up the new episode from here and I’ll give you the Turkish translation.

Ferit scoffs. Very good, I swear. Wonderful. Emredersin, karıcığım (as you command, my dear wife). If you want, I can carry you home from here on my back. How’s that? Neither you nor my family matter to me anymore. I’m tired of you humiliating me, treating me badly… constantly trying to be good to you, trying to please you. I’m tired, Seyran. I don’t want anything from any of you. I’m leaving. Do what you want. Apply henna… celebrate.

Ferit gets teary as he continues, it will be better without me. You’ll be happier, calmer, no problems, you can live as you want. You’ll cry for 3 days, suffer for 5, and then you will forget. Continue living where you left off. It’s over, Seyran. It’s over. From now on there is no Ferit Korhan.

Seyran’s tears fall. She reaches out for Ferit and kisses him! The girl who rejected any advances from Antepli Yusuf, plants a kiss on Ferit in the middle of an Istanbul airport! And what a kiss. Ferit drops his bag and they continue kissing. [Sonunda! After 40 episodes!]

And why do they waste more than a second on the sad pair of Pelin and Yusuf watching Seyfer kiss? Neyse… Seyfer come up for air and hold each other tight. [Such a longing for each other!] Finally, Ferit moves back. There are no words, just looks. He picks up his bag and heads to the gate.

Seyran is devastated. She turns to go and sees Pelo and Yusuf. I’m sorry, she tells Pelin She looks at Yusuf. He turns and walks. Seyran follows him. Pelo stands there with silent tears.

Yusuf cries. Seyran calls out to him. He gets a call from Sultan. Where are you? Latif has been calling you. Yusuf claims he had an emergency and will come now. Sultan tells him that Halis is being taken to the hospital. They need the car. He asks, what happened to Halis aga? Seyro hears this. Sultan says she will send the location. Seyran asks what happened. Yusuf tells her about Halis. They need the car, they have to go.

Halis is taken by ambulance to the hospital. The family panics. Sefika feels faint. This happened right in front of her.

#41 part 2

Kazim complains to Esme about his bitter orange juice, scrolls through his phone and exclaims—What? Breaking news! Can’t be… “Halis Korhan, a well-known businessman, fell ill at home and was taken to the hospital.” Hattuc is stricken. Esme and Kazim rush to her. She asks Kazim to read more. Speak, Kazim! Don’t hide anything! What should I hide, he says, there is nothing more. He shows her the phone.

Hattuc swats Kazim. Damn you! You said all those terrible things and look what happened! The man ended up in the hospital because of you! We are responsible for this! She is distraught and Kazim is surprised at her extreme reaction. He will be fine, Kazim says, calm down. I’ll call Orhan and ask. Hattuc thinks Orhan won’t answer now. Let’s go! Let’s go!

Kazim tells his aunt, let me talk to the family first. Hattuc threatens, don’t make me hit you! My nerves are at the limit! Okay, he asks, why are you so angry? Calm down. We’ll go. Tell the girls. We’ll all go together. Uh oh. Hattuc doesn’t move or reply. What are you waiting for, Kazim asks, don’t you want to go? How do you expect your daughters to be seen in public, Hattuc answers, you go ahead and I’ll come with the girls. Kazim is at a bit of a loss. But he says he’ll go. Hattuc asks him to call her when he gets there.

Vigil at the hospital. Gulgun asks Fuat if he’s called Ferit. Ferit’s phone is still off. Fuat spots Kazim. Just what they need now. Kazim gives get well wishes. Fuat and Gulgun go over to greet him. Ifakat and Orhan look like they want to kill him. Orhan composes himself and goes over to Kazim. They shake hands. Asuman asks, is Seyran here? I came first, Kazim replies, she’ll come with my aunt. Gulgun says that’s good.

Kazim asks about Halis’ condition. Fuat says they don’t know much. Halis is conscious though. Kazim gives words of encouragement. Our Aga is a warrior. He will be okay. You will be fine. He asks, where is my son in law? His phone is off, Fuat replies, we can’t reach him. Kazim excuses himself to call Hattuc.

Hattuc takes the call and tells Kazim they’re leaving now. The doorbell rings. Seyran returns. She hugs her mom. Hattuc asks, where is your husband? I couldn’t stop him, Seyran says, he’s gone. We’ll talk about this later, Hattuc says, get your coat, we’re leaving.

Seyran enters the bedroom, jumps into Suna’s arms and cries. What happened? I couldn’t stop him, Seyro sobs, he’s gone. I told him not to go but he didn’t listen. He left. None of what you said happened. He left without looking back. They sit on the bed. Suna says, I have to ask you, promise you won’t get upset. Were you mean to him? Seyran says no. I even… kissed him.

Suna is stunned. For the first time, Seyran adds. For a moment, everything seemed to be going well, she says with a sad smile, the moment was wonderful. It was beautiful. Suna asks… and then? He left without looking back, Seyro cries, Allah belanı versin! (May God curse him!) Don’t pray for bad things, Suna quickly answers, this can’t be. You’ve always said you had no feelings for him. Yes, I said that, Seyran replies. Sure, you did, Suna says knowingly.

Seyro wipes her eyes and claims she only did it so he wouldn’t leave. But it didn’t work, she laments. He only thinks about himself. He’s spoiled. What did I expect? It doesn’t matter anymore, Suna says, let’s get up. Wash your face.

#41 part 3

Seyran still can’t believe it. How could he leave? Was it that easy for him? I doubt it was easy, Suna replies, maybe he just couldn’t take it any longer. You saw what happened. He can’t just give up like this, Seyran says, there’s always something… if he only stopped for a second, he’d come to his senses. But it’s too late now. Suna says, let’s go… auntie is waiting for us. It will be okay.

Yusuf drives Seyran, Suna and Hattuc to the hospital. Esme stayed behind. They are met with a swarm of reporters and photographers who shout for a statement from Seyran. They mention Ferit causing a family crisis. Is Halis here because of Ferit? Yusuf tries to clear the way so they can get to the entrance. The reporters are relentless. Of course, Seyran has no comment.

Seyran and the others enter the waiting area. Fuat is the first to greet them. Suna immediately goes over to Ifakat. Hattuc asks Kazim for an update. Nothing yet. Seyran gives Gulgun a hug and cries. Gulgun assures her it will be okay. Seyro asks if they can talk and they go to a quiet place away from the others.

Gulgun tells her not to cry, don’t worry. Seyro starts, Ferit… Gulgun perks up. Ferit? You heard from him? Seyro drops the bomb—Ferit left… for New York. He said he would live there. I tried to stop him. I went to the airport… but he wouldn’t even hear me out. Gulgun is shocked, he just…left? Seyro nods and cries. He can’t do this on his own, Gulgun worries, and he wouldn’t leave with his grandfather in this condition.

He doesn’t know, Gulgun Anne, Seyro replies, I found out after he got on the plane. He doesn’t know. I thought I could stop him. But I couldn’t. Gulgun lifts Seyran’s head. I know my son. I know him very well. He just needs time to think. He’ll be back. Don’t worry, calm down. Trust him. Have faith in your marriage. Seyro repeats she did everything to keep him from leaving.

Gulgun doesn’t doubt it. She comforts Seyran. She’ll let everyone know about Ferit. Gulgun tells Seyro, this is life. You must look forward now. We cry now, and we laugh tomorrow. You’ll see, okay? Seyran asks for a minute alone before rejoining the group. She also asks for a favor. She ran away from home to get to the airport. Please don’t tell my father anything. Gulgun chuckles. She’ll keep the secret.

Gulgun returns to the waiting area and motions for Ifakat. She quietly tells Ifakat and Orhan that Ferit left for New York. Orhan is angry. Is he crazy? How could he? As if you don’t know your son, Gulgun answers, this is one of his impulsive decisions.

The doctor comes out with news. Don’t worry, Halis Ağa is fine. Thank God! Everyone is relieved. It was a heart spasm. They will run some additional tests and then he can have visitors.

Hattuc asks Suna to get her bottled water. Fuat volunteers to go with her. Asuman says, she’ll go too. She wants a coffee. [yes, and to keep an eye on Fuat.] Seyran returns and Suna says come get coffee with us.

Orhan goes to see Halis. Halis seems fine. He immediately asks Orhan if there’s news on Ferit. Orhan says, yes, don’t worry. I’m just happy you’re okay. Halis wants to know where Ferit is. Send him here right now. The doctor warns him to stay calm. Halis says he doesn’t want to see anyone else until he sees Ferit. The doc wants Halis to rest but he continues, tell Latif to come here and bring Ferit.

#41 part 4

Orhan tells the family outside the room that Halis is okay. He tells Latif to go in. Ifakat asks when they can go in. Orhan tells her he doesn't want to see anyone until he sees Ferit. He’s insisting. What do we tell him, Gulgun asks, do we tell him he left? No, Orhan answers, we’ll look for him.

Gulgun says she will inform Kazim about Halis. Maybe he will leave. Ifakat can barely contain her anger at Kazim. Gulgun warns her not to cause a scene. They head back to the waiting area, but Latif stops them. We don’t hear what he has to say.

Things seem a bit tense in the cafeteria. Seyran wonders what will happen when Halis finds out Ferit is gone. What if he gets worse? Let’s not think about that, Fuat says, grandpa is fine. So is Ferit. Asuman tells Seyran not to be so hard on herself. You couldn’t have known what was going to happen. If I were you, I would have done the exact thing. That gets a look from Fuat.

Abidin arrives at the cafeteria. Suna perks up. Fuat greets him. All that matters is that Halis Aga is okay, Abi says. He asks, where is Ferit? Seyran says, Ferit… is on a plane to NY. Abi is shocked. Orhan calls Fuat. Halis wants to see Seyran. Suna gets up with her and says she will check in with Kazim. They all head back.

There’s a look between Suna and Abi and Asuman notices it. A camera shot with mirrors makes it clear for us. Asuman asks Fuat if there is something between Suna and Abidin. He thinks that Abdin would never…

Kazim brings Hattuc good news, but Halis still can’t have visitors. He doesn’t want to hang around and wants to go home. He wonders where the girls are. They vanish and then he’s always the bad guy when he gets angry. Hattuc snaps, your daughters are scared of you! Take Suna, I’ll stay here with Seyran. What are you saying, he asks, is this possible? She warns him, don’t make me crazy. You brought Halis down but that won’t work on me.

Why do you want to stay, Kazim asks, I don’t understand at all. This can’t go on, she explains, I’ll talk to Ifakat. We need to talk about the children. What will you talk about, he asks, there’s nothing to talk about. She gives him a little push. Kazim! Apparently, you miss the beatings I gave you as a child! Yeter! I don’t want to cause any more problems until Halis is healthy and out of the hospital! He backs off.

There’s not a lot of room in the elevator. Suna is outside with Abidin. She says she will wait for the next one. Fuat looks at Abi, then at Suna. Asuman observes. Abi nervously tells Suna she looks tired. She gives a shy smile. He continues, if you want, when this is over… you want to go out again? She asks where. To get ice cream, he replies, but only if you want. Okay, she answers.

Mustafa shows up with a bag (clothes?) and a tray of something, maybe sweets for Halis. Abi takes them, I’ll make sure he gets them. He tells Mustafa to wait for him by the door. Kazim gets off the elevator. He looks at Suna. He tells Abi he needs a car. Abi sends him with Mustafa. Kazim takes Suna. She turns around to look at Abi as she walks.

Seyran comes to Halis. He asks Latif to leave them alone. Come sit, Halis tells her. Don’t be shy. Hold your head up. Look at me. She asks, how are you? I’m alive, as you can see, he replies. Seyran, once again, you are the only person who can tell me the truth. Whatever the price, there is nothing more valuable than the truth. Where is Ferit?

#41 part 5

Seyran is speechless. Don’t be afraid, Halis says, and don’t worry. I’m okay, I’m calm. But I can’t stop thinking about him. They’ll lie to me again. You’ll tell the truth. Seyran is anxious and avoids looking at Halis. Halis asks, did something bad happen to him? No, no… Ferit is okay, she replies, I saw him and we talked, but he doesn’t know you’re in the hospital. Then tell me, Halis asks, where is this child? She answers, Ferit… Ferit… The door opens and it’s Ferit!

Grandfather? Ferit rushes to Halis’ side. Seyran is stunned and relieved. I’m here, Ferit says. Thank God, Halis says, my grandson. My Ferit. Halis holds Ferit close. Tears of happiness all around. Ferit asks forgiveness. Halis asks to be left alone with Ferit.

Pelin is in her car outside of the hospital. She texts Ferit: “text me when you get the chance. I’m worried. I’m waiting outside.” Burak calls her, where are you? She reluctantly tells him she drove Ferit to the hospital. His grandfather became ill. Burak is sorry to hear it. Is he okay? Pelin isn’t sure but she thinks so. Burak says he’s coming.

Grandpa and grandson reunion continues. Ferit asks, are you okay? You came, I’m much better now, Halis replies. He starts to apologize but Ferit interrupts. You were right, Dede… everything that happened was my fault. Is there a right and a wrong in this case, Halis asks, if only my arm would have broken so I wouldn’t have hit you. Where have you been for all this time?

Ferit kisses his grandpa’s hand. I just needed some time alone, he says, I didn’t know… I came back as soon as I heard. Halis admits, I was very scared you would leave. Don’t leave the house for now, okay? He pats Ferit’s face.

Seyran and Latif are waiting outside Halis’ room. Ferit comes out. Latif is overcome with emotion, it’s good that you came, küçük bey (little mister). He gives Ferit a bear hug. Ferit is surprised and looks over Latif’s shoulder at Seyran. Ferit thanks him and Latif returns to Halis.

Ferit looks at Seyran. She smugly smiles, I said you wouldn’t leave. He smiles back, maybe if you had hugged me like Latif Bey instead of kissing me, I wouldn’t have left. You didn’t leave, she replies, you’re here. It worked.

Ferit feels dizzy and Seyran goes to his side. He says he’s okay, it’s that he hasn’t eaten anything today. Can you walk, she asks. Don’t exaggerate, he replies. Seyro says, let’s go to the cafeteria and get something to eat. She asks if he saw his parents. Yes, he saw them and says, let’s tell them they can see grandpa now. She lets Ferit take hold of her arm. They walk down the hall.

Did you know he wouldn’t see anyone before he saw me, Ferit says. Seyran replies, well, he saw me. Ferit says, he saw you? Yes, she states, he wanted to see me first. They laugh.

And we are out.

Another gem, dondi! I wish you were on the West Coast. The three hours of time difference make it hard to be on the same page, literally! I saw that you had put up #41 soon after Juanita put up Page 1, but I had to hurry off to the YMCA for my hardcore cycling class, my big aerobic event of the week.

Then I got home and needed to cook and eat dinner. I also watched half of a recording of basketball while cooking. Did the Knicks win? Are you a Knicks fan? Their coach, Mike Brown was an assistant coach with the Warriors for several years. He's just a fantastic guy.

Yep, that was a wonderful episode. I hope it made up for the awful one you recapped where Suna and Seyran get beaten. I've been thinking about that. Kazim probably has had years of developing a style where the bruises never show. Both girls' faces looked fine the next day.

That was a wonderful kiss. Seyran got off her high horse and showed her husband how much he means to her.

I don't agree with showing Pelin and Yusuf being a waste. I was delighted that maybe, just maybe, Yusuf finally realized Seyran won't ever come back to him. Fingers crossed he gets the message.

Every time Hattuc develops a spine I love it. "How do you expect your daughters to be seen in public?" [after you disgraced them by dragging them away from the Korhans]

Wow, the Korhans have ironclad manners. I wouldn't have been able to shake hands with Kazim after what he did.

I enjoyed Seyran telling Suna about the kiss. For once her reserve dropped and she was a giddy girl talking about a boyfriend, er...husband. I think I was first kissed by a boy when I was 11 and didn't like it much. Liking it came much later.

Sigh. I hope they don't have to give Kazim a mansion 3 times the size of the Korhan's to get him to let Seyran return to her marriage.

lunes – parte 1 Cruz gets nowhere trying to convince Miranda that he’s a good guy. He brings up Lobo’s DNA at the crime scene. She calmly says that he won’t mind if she gets her own experts, shutting him down.

Hugo gets snarky with Fabio, the sneaky guy who’s taken Dante’s place as Cruz’s lapdog.

When Cruz smiles, saying that Miranda and Lobo are lovers, she comes right back at him. Lobo was the one who defended Renata. Dante killed Berta for defending Renata, and Lobo killed Dante to protect her.

Leonor tells Carlo she sent the guys who hurt him. She suggests he leave the country.

Renata catches Alejandro doing electronic eavesdropping on the meeting with Miranda and Cruz. Ale ends up bonding with Renata over video games.

The sadistic young guy guarding Antonia and Eugenia is not the son of El Az. He’s hoodwinked by Antonia and Eugenio. She manages to get his knife.

Miranda convinces La Presidenta to put Cruz back in charge of the murder of her husband.

El Az goes in to violently threaten Antonia and Eugenia. Lobo and Fer are outside of the warehouse or whatever it is, not knowing for sure what’s inside.

Adela really disappoints me. She tells Hugo that she has feelings for Adrian, the guy who went after his brother’s woman.

El Az points his gun at Eugenio to threaten Antonia with killing her father. She pretends to agree, and when he gets close, stabs him in the leg. Then Eugenio chokes him unconscious.

Adela overhears Miranda and Cruz talking as if they’ve conspired before.

lunes – parte 2 Lobo, Hugo, and Fernando rush the hideout. There’s the usual big shootout, but this time some bad guys appear to be killed. Our Team gets away intact.

Miranda tells Alejandro what happened with Cruz, and he again sees how she doesn’t care what happens to Antonia.

Big Ed is in a lot of pain and far from stoic about it. Loboo and Antonia spend too much time yakking, and El Az grabs Eugenio. But Eugenio twists and Antonia shoots El Az. They try to fake Viewerville that he died.

Hugo arrests the sadistic punk..

Leonor has gotten a guy named Agustin to replace Carlo. Miranda tells Ale she wants to get rid of El Az and Cruz and before going to the border for the money.

Eugenio Antonia and Lobo talk. Believe they’re at Hugo’s place. Antonia is very concerned about Miranda. She tells Lobo about hearing that El Az and his guys couldn’t reach him about her being kidnapped. He then tells her about getting the message she was dumping him. They realize someone is playing games with their phones.

Remedios is beside herself about her big baby. It’s said he might walk with a limp forever. He freaks completely out.

Lobo tells Antonia that Renata is with her mother, and that Renata said over and over how much she loves Antonia.

Carlos, full of spite, comes to tell Cruz that he and Leonor are lovers. I’m very curious about his reaction. He might laugh in his face now that he has Graciela.

Novelera: Thank you very much for your recap of last night's episode. My personal thoughts:

*Is Carlos that STUPID ? He keeps messing around & itching to find out! I won't be sad to see him getting whacked.

*Jackass Big Ed still an uppity jackass with his violent, menacing threats & the like. Big question is whether or not he goes down in the Gran Final ?

*Alejandro: GET OUT while you still can because Whacky Miranda won't hesitate to kill you if you're dragging her down.

*Nice seeing Lobo & Co., rescuing Antonia & Eugenio. Now, Lobo needs to realize that Clingy Miranda is the one, who had Antonia & Eugenio kidnapped.

*Slick Fabio needs to go down & I look forward to seeing the Cruzes going down BIGLY.

*Adela OMG! If I'm Hugo, I would move on & focus on my job with law enforcement.

Thanks Novelera for the recap.
I am also disappointed in Adela's choice of men.
I am astounded that our gang can't figure out how Lobo's phone was manipulated with. Every time he went to Alejandro and Miranda's house Lobo's phone was taken away from him! Lobo did not maintain custody of his own phone. I expected to see that lightbulb light up over Lobo's head and was severely disappointed that it did not . And Fer needs to acknowledge that there is possibly another person in town as good or better with technology as Fer is.

I loved that Ferit showed up and didn’t fly to the US. Yusuf crying was priceless! And the banter between Seyran and Ferit is such fun!!! This couple has lots of chemistry. They both have many facets to their personalities! The kiss was great, even with the music.

Give me the episode # that I should do next and I’ll do it Friday!

Too bad Ferit didn’t come to NY. It would have been nice if they filmed here. dondi would have become a stalker, *wink*.

My problem with Pelin and Yusuf at the airport was really with the director and editor’s choice to splice them into the middle of Seyfer kissing, IMHO, for too many seconds. I agree it was good they both saw Seyfer.

Hattuc was good in this episode. She’s thinking of Halis more than anyone else, though.

I don’t follow the NBA much, but I like to see the Knicks do well. The college game is more exciting for me. Although with NIL and the portal, college sort of seems “professional.” As you might know by now, the Knicks snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. Ugh.

The Mets are killing me!

I got home part way through last night's episode. So, a partial recap.

Antonia meets Miranda and Alejandro. She asks Alejandro some probing police-type questions. Later, Antonia breaks up with Lobo because she could see that Miranda would never accept her, and Lobo was too naive and trusting (especially for an ex-cop!) to consider that Miranda was possibly up to no good. One question they could all ask is why is Lobo still needed to help take Renata to the border to get the treasure? Couldn't Miranda and Alejandro just take Renata without Lobo? (I have some thoughts.)

Leonor, Azufrero, Cruz, Graciela and Carlos do some plotting. Cruz has moved to a hotel, and someone video- and audio-taped Cruz and Graciela doing some pda on the street. (Who is videoing them? Leonor's buddy Augustin? or did Alejandro hire someone to tail Cruz?)

Miranda had Magola grabbed by henchies for a meeting. Magola is the maid at the La Colina house. Miranda wants Magola to tell her what is going on at the house. Magola tells Miranda that Azufrero is in love with Graciela. Magola is to spy on Azu and Gracie. And Miranda now knows that Gracie has a relationship with both Cruz and Azu. Or is playing both.

Fer tells Lobo that Miranda is egotistic and capricious (easier to spell in Spanish). Lobo doesn't want to hear it.

Miranda wants Cruz to frame Antonia for manipulating evidence. End episode. I am really tired of Miranda.

I can add that the reason Cruz moved to a hotel is that the disgusting Carlo showed him part of one of those videos he took of he and Leonor getting it on. Carlo got his job back, but Leonor called Plácido to get rid of him for good. But I don't think anyone knows he's bedridden. And probably not in the mood to help Leonor.

You're tired of Miranda. I'm tired of Antonia. Miranda is a better villain than the males in this show. Guess I just like Angélica Celaya. Doubt she'll survive to the end but enjoy her being smarter than everyone else. The Antonia actor has seemed less than stellar all the way through. Of course it's the writers' fault she's dumping Lobo. We'll see how long that lasts. But I felt like throwing my remote at the screen when she did so. You're madly in love with a man. The little girl who's so important to him adores you. You can see Miranda is a cunning adversary. So...what do you do? Throw in the towel.

Seyran watches Ferit eat. He looks up, why are you looking like that? Did something happen? No, she says, I was just looking. He asks a question. When you came to get me, did you know what happened to my grandfather? Of course not, she replies, I would have told you. She tells him her father took her back home.

Ferit is surprised. Seyran asks, didn’t your mother tell you? He came and took me. Ferit says, just like that? He barged in and took you? Yes. He laughs, I can’t believe it. Your father is really a special case. No one tried to stop him? You know my father, she replies, he behaved like a lunatic. Your mother intervened but her attempt failed.

You see now, Ferit says, it’s obvious. If I’d been there, would I have let this happen? You understand how I’m different? I was wondering when the real you would show up, Seyran smiles, Hoşgeldin, Ferit Korhan. Hoşbulduk, he replies. How did you get to the airport, he asks. I ran away from home, she says. He laughs.

Why are you laughing, Seyran asks, you have no idea what we were going through. You saw your mother. She was very upset. Everyone was worried. Your grandfather cried like a child when he saw you. Contrary to what you said at the airport, everyone loves you very much. You are very valuable. Do you realize that? Ferit smirks, they weren’t worried about me. They were worried about grandpa.

Seyran rolls her eyes in frustration. You are never satisfied. That’s who I am, he replies, what can we do? I won’t do anything, she answers, but you will. You’re going to change. Yeah, of course, he says. I was very scared something would happen to grandpa. She leans over, you’re not going to leave again, are you? I want to hear you say won’t do it again. I’ll stay for my grandfather, he tells her. Please do, she says, but I’m not asking who you’re staying for. I asked you to promise you won’t do it again.

Ay, ay, ay, you poor thing, Ferit smiles, poor Seyran. He slides next to her. Are you jealous because I didn’t say I’d stay for you? He touches her hair. My little runaway. She gets annoyed and removes his hand from her hair. Leave me alone. [but I noticed a quick slight smile.]

So what are you going to do, Seyran asks. Ferit replies, about what? What are you going to tell everyone, she asks. I’ll talk to them individually, he says. Ifakat yenge will reprimand me. My father will lecture me. My mother will be a little upset, but she’ll get over it. And we will go back to our routine. We won’t, she says, you will. He asks, what does that mean? She reminds him her father took her home.

Ferit replies, it won’t be that easy, Seyrociğim. It wasn’t that hard, Seyro replies. I wasn’t at home then, he answers, your husband has returned now. Seyro is curious to hear what he will tell Kazim. It will be a good conversation, Ferit says, a lot of fun. He steals Kazim’s line—bilesin!

Halis is anxious to go home. He asks the doctor to release him. Are you not comfortable, she asks. Not that, he replies, if I close my eyes forever, I’d rather it be at home in my own bed. Orhan and Ifakat don’t like this talk. The doc says not to think that way. Everything is fine. But she wants him to spend the night.

The doctor leaves, and Halis tells Orhan and Ifakat to go home to look after the household. They want to stay. Latif is here, Halis says, I’m just here resting. I want everything to be normal when I return home. Ifakat says someone should stay. Don’t upset me, Halis replies, you heard the doctor. They relent.

Orhan tells the rest of the family that Halis will be discharged tomorrow afternoon. Hattuc is relieved. Ifakat says that Halis wants them all to leave. Latif will stay. Orhan adds, you know dad. He wants everything normal. Ferit motions to Gulgun. Gulgun asks, Seyran, dear, are you coming with us? Of course she is, Ferit pipes up, what kind of question is that? Isn’t that right, Hattuc Hala? Seyran looks at her aunt.

Hattuc shoots a look at Ferit. She thinks for a moment, then says, if Halis Ağa wants you all at the house, Seyran will go with you. Seyfer smile at each other. Ifakat asks if Kazim might cause another scene. No, Hattuc replies, I am his elder, what I say is what will happen. He will listen to me, don’t worry.

Orhan tells everyone let’s go. Hattuc isn’t ready to go. She says, I haven’t spoken to Halis Aga yet. Ferit motions to his brother. Fuat (with Asuman) offers to stay with Hattuc. She nods and walks with them. Ferit calls out—Hattuc Hala… she turns and he makes the heart symbol and sends a kiss. It’s not received well. She mutters under her breath.

Seyfer laugh. Ferit links arms with Seyran. He asks, what would you do without me? Admit you’re happy I’m back. Stop making jokes, she replies, let’s see what happens after your grandfather is discharged. My father will have something to say. Ferit is dismissive.

Hattuc knocks on Halis’ door. She asks, may I speak with Halis Ağa? Latif says, he’s available, but he’s tired from the visitors. Be brief. I’m not here for a social visit, Hattuc states, I will stay with him tonight. He only wants me with him, Latif replies. Out of my way, she says and barges into the room. Nothing Latif can do but give them privacy.

How are you Halis, Hattuc asks. Thank God, he replies, I saw you and got better. She sits, lifts her hand and moves the bracelet that Halis gave her. She tells him, again you wanted to go, leaving just a memory, but this time it didn’t work out. He smiles and says the bracelet suits her. She asks, do you need anything? What can I say, he answers, you’re here. That’s enough. I’ll stay with you tonight, if you allow it, she asks. Estağfurullah, he replies, but won’t it be difficult, Hatice? Don’t worry about that, she says, as long as you are here, I can’t be anywhere else.

Talk to Kazim after you’re discharged, Hattuc says, let him apologize, kiss your hand. We’ll finish this business with the boy and girl. Halis explains, there was no offense. It was just an unfortunate event. Things got out of control, but it can be solved. We’ll host a dinner soon and we can talk. Hattuc places her hand on his. He holds it. His reflection is in her eye.

Burak brings Pelin something to eat. She’s not hungry. She sees the Korhan cars pull up to the hospital and asks Burak to check it out. She gets out of the car to watch.

The Korhans exit the building. The Korhan couples hold hands for show. The reporters gather. The cameras flash. Would you like to make a statement, Orhan Bey? Questions: how is Halis Bey? Was this due to the news about Ferit Bey? Who is that woman with you? Orhan says, our doctors will offer an update soon. Fortunately, everything is fine. Abidin and Mustafa clear the way for the Korhans.

Pelin sadly watches as Seyfer get into a car. Burak returns. Halis is fine. You saw them leave. They looked happy. Pelin worries, Ferit should have texted me. Ssomething’s not right. She goes for her phone and Burak stops her. Let him call you. Do you think he’ll forget about you? He didn’t forget, she replies, I brought him here! Then let’s wait and see, Burak answers. He left with his wife and family. Face it. Don’t be scared. Why would I be scared, she asks. You need to face the facts, he tells her.

Pelin cries. She asks, what was your friend’s name? Serter? Set up a meeting with him tomorrow. Burak doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Pelo insists. He tells her to calm down. If you still feel like it tomorrow, I’ll call him.

Ferit opens the door to his room. What an entrance. He spreads his arms out wide, takes in a deep breath and announces, Ferit Korhan çöplüğüne geri döndü! (Ferit Korhan has returned to his dump!) Like this... yes! He tosses his jacket on the bed. You were so eager to go, Seyran notes. I don’t dwell on what happened yesterday, he replies, you know that Seyrocim. [yes, that’s why he never learns his lesson.] I know, she answers, that’s why I said you wouldn’t leave. I know you very well.

You should be worrying about your father, not me, Ferit tells her. I hope he lets you stay. I won’t worry, she says, you should. You said you would stop him if he came again. I would, Ferit says. If Aunt Hattuc hadn’t stepped in, she says, I don’t know what you would have done.

Ferit smiles, my Aunt Hattuc. Would she let me down? What did she say? He imitates her. “I supposed Seyran can go with you.” They laugh. She didn’t say it for you, Ferit, she tells him, she did it for Halis Aga. She said it, that’s what matters, he responds, you’re back with me. For now, Seyro, replies.

Ferit is ready to move on to a different subject. He sits next to her on the couch and leans into her. They both laugh, for different reasons, and she pushes him away—what are you doing? Seyran, I can’t stop thinking about how you kissed me at the airport! [I can’t stop thinking about that either.] He laughs and leans on her again. Look at yourself, she says, my God!

It was just a fleeting moment, Seyran explains, don’t exaggerate it. I only did it for your family. Yes, of course, he says sarcastically, I’m sure. I understood how much you love my family from that passionate kiss. You really love my mother. That’s clear.

Seyran wants to drop this convo. Don’t make this a big deal. Are you saying it didn’t mean anything, he asks. Yes, it didn’t, she replies, besides you already kissed me once. This kiss meant the same thing your kiss meant to you. Not true, Ferit answers, that kiss just happened. You traveled a long way to kiss me. This was planned. She accuses him of making this up in his head.

Am I imagining this, Ferit asks. Seyran nods yes. Then, who went to the airport and kissed me, he asks. You have feelings for me. He plays with her hair. She denies this and says, why do you always believe your version of events? Do I look like an idiot, he asks, why should I believe something that’s not true? You do, she answers. I kissed you, that part is real. But there were no feelings behind it. Understand? Ferit clicks no and says, please explain it again.

Seyran moves to a chair and says she’s tired. Let it be whatever you want. Ferit says okay, but he has a question. How did you get to the airport? I ran, she replies. He tells her to be serious. Abidin wasn’t at the house, and you said you ran away. How did you get to the airport? Seyran sighs, I don’t want to argue with you now. I’d rather answer that tomorrow. Ferit is suspicious. Answer me, I won’t get angry, I promise. Not even you can ruin my day.

Seyran pulls at the sleeves of her sweater and sinks in the chair. She covers her face. Ferit gets serious, tell me, how did you get to the airport? She drops the bomb—Yusuf gave me a ride. He scoffs, you’re trying to upset me. Tell the truth. She repeats that Yusuf took her. Did I understand correctly, he asks, Yusuf gave you a ride? I had no choice, she replies, he came after Suna called.

So he helped you, Ferit asks, don’t lie to me. Ferit has his hands in his sweater. I don’t believe you. I want the truth. I want you to hear it from me, Seyran says, not from anyone else. Ferit pulls his sweater over his face. He gets up from the couch, takes off the sweater and throws it to the floor. You’ve gone completely crazy, he says, you went too far this time. What were you thinking?

I was desperate, Seyran explains, I had to do it. Can’t you see? And what about it? He took me to the airport. That’s all. It’s no big deal. Right, no big deal, Ferit replies. Bravo, Seyran! He claps. Bravo! She repeats she was desperate. Why don’t you understand? He wonders, will you run to him every time you feel desperate? How could you? Whenever I start to think you’re getting better, I’m proven wrong! You haven’t changed. You keep doing the same thing.

What a coincidence, Seyran fires back, I feel the same way about you! You never change. I swear you came back to this house to drive me crazy, he says, I told you not to talk to that guy again, didn’t I? Don’t look at me like that. Answer the question! Seyro admits it. He tells her to stop acting like they never had that conversation. You still don’t care about me! No one ever listens to me!

Seyran tries yet again to get him to understand that she had to do it. I went to the airport to stop you from going to NY. But somehow, we always go back to Yusuf! Yusuf would be shocked if he knew how much we talk about him! It’s like you care about him. He’d be happy. Just wait, Ferit snaps back, I’ll make you two the happiest people on Earth. He kicks his sweater across the room.

I’m tired, Seyran says, I’m not in the mood to argue. Focus on what I did for you. You can apologize later. She goes to get a change of clothes. He answers, in that case, don’t do anything else for me! Don’t do anything ever again! Just stay in this room, that’s enough. He heads for the bathroom. She calls out, you spoiled idiot! Ferit puts his hand out to prove his points. She imitates him.

Hattuc returns home and Kazim is ticked. I see you remember our address, he says. Where is the girl… upstairs? She’s at her house, Hattuc replies. Kazim sits up. Are you trying to drive me crazy? Who said she could leave? I did, Hattuc says, don’t make me angry. I’m tired. Kazim continues, you ignored me and stayed at the hospital. I thought you’d come home. I had to stay, she explains, I spoke to Halis Aga. We have to do this right. We have an agreement.

Esme listens from the other room. I’m too old for this, Hattuc says. Stop whining, Kazim answers, if you’re so old, then act accordingly. Why did you stay at the hospital? Why did you stay with a stranger? Since when is he a stranger to you, she asks. You were happy to bring our families together.

That was then, this is now, Kazim says. He’s not family anymore. I’ll never bow down to him. You never think before you speak, Hattuc scolds. I spoke to him and Halis Aga invited you to dinner to talk things over. I agreed. Kazim clicks no. I’m not going. Did they ask me? I will not go.

Kazim mentions her staying with a “stranger” again. Hattuc laughs, are you jealous of someone my age? Don’t be upset. Let’s fix this and move on. We’re under enough stress. Sure, sure, Kazim replies, I’m the one stressing everyone out. [YES!] Esme is pleased with what she heard and walks back into the kitchen. Kazim calls her to bring tea for him… and no one else. She probably already had tea with Halis, he grumbles.

Ferit is dressed. Seyran is still sleeping. He tries to wake her up. He whistles. He sprays cologne on himself and then some in her direction. He fans the blanket and coughs. She wakes up coughing. What is that? It’s making me sick so early in the morning! Did you douse yourself in perfume? He crawls onto the bed, don’t exaggerate. Wake up. We have an update from the hospital. Grandpa is being discharged!

Seyran says, you realize your mood swings aren’t normal, right? He answers, my grandfather has been through a lot recently. Shouldn’t I be happy? You can be happy, of course, she replies, but who knows how you’ll be feeling 5 minutes from now. He says, you know I’m almost always happy. I love life. I’m not like you… you’re a drama queen. [if so, he’s the king.] That didn’t even last 2 minutes, she notes. Stop it, he says and pushes her, get up! Put on your best clothes, karıcığım.

Seyran wonders, Ferit, are we going to the doctor today? He reaches out to her, what happened? Why do you need a doctor? It’s for you, she replies, a psychologist. Your behavior isn’t normal. Your brain deletes things from one minute to the next. He answers, I remember everything. I’m perfectly fine. She asks, does your beautiful brain remember yesterday’s argument?

Ferit tells her, I’m sorry. I really am. You know me, sometimes I’m not myself. But do you want grandpa to see us looking upset? She assures him she won’t be upset in front of grandpa. He suddenly perks up and pushes her—then don’t be in front of me, girl! Don’t forget what you did yesterday to get me to stay. You came from over the mountains, and kissed me… You behaved like a real wife!

Seyran flops on the bed. Ferit continues to bother her, karım benim, karım! (my wife) ömrüm! (my life) helalim! helalim! (my lawful wife) … get up! How long will we talk about this, she snaps back. I’ll never stop, he replies, I don’t know what you did, but it was amazing. You became a completely different person! We must celebrate this! We must always remember this, okay? I didn’t want to be kissed, but you kissed me!

Seyran lifts her head. Yes, of course, she snarks, that’s what happened. I wonder, who dropped his bag because he was so excited to kiss me? You said, “my God, is this true? Is this really happening?” The birds were singing, the butterflies were flying inside you, weren’t they?

Ferit replies, I can’t believe it. You noticed. And what about you? You were hypnotized. Your feet did not touch the ground, you were like a fairy princess. She can’t believe this. You were told a lot of fairy tales as child, she says.

I’ll ask a question, he says, why did you kiss me? I’m afraid you’ll soon say, “I didn’t kiss you at all, Ferit. I’d never do that.” He repeatedly asks her why she kissed him. Finally, she simply states, I kissed you so you wouldn’t leave, so that your family wouldn’t get upset… that was the biggest trump card.

Ferit sticks with the theory she planned this kiss. And he has another question. Did you think you could stop me with a single kiss? Ask Pelin, not me, she replies, she called to ask me to change your mind. I don’t know what you’ve told her about me, but it worked. We should focus on the results. You’re here now. She was right. Ferit claims he stayed for grandpa.

Seyran enters the bathroom. Ferit realizes he forgot to call Pelin. Burak is there and sees the call come in. Pelin! He remembered you. She takes the phone from him but doesn’t take the call. You were right, she tells her cousin. I didn’t want to be right, he replies, I want you to be happy. She tells him to call his friend to go to lunch. Are you sure, he asks. What can go wrong, she says. Ferit calls again and she doesn’t answer.

Halis comes home. The whole yali is there to meet him. This is like a second birthday, he says to Latif. Orhan and Fuat come over to kiss his hand. The staff give their get well wishes. Sefika is very emotional. You scared us, I’m so glad you’re okay. Everyone kisses Halis’ hand. Ferit also hugs grandpa. Halis pats Seyran’s face.

After they enter their room, Seyran playfully trips Ferit and runs to the bathroom. Ferit tries calling Pelin again. No answer. He wonders, why are you so angry that you won’t take my calls? He gets a text from her: “I’ve done a lot of thinking. You might be right. We need to focus on ourselves. Don’t make this harder than it is.” Wow, Pelocim, wow, he says. I’m shocked.

And we are out.

miércoles Miranda schemes with Cruz to have Antonia blamed for everything, not knowing that Antonia gave up the fight for Lobo for Renata's benefit.

Remedios treats Leonor like a queen, probably because she doesn’t know Leonor and her son are involved. She hints that Graciela has someone else and that her son doesn’t share.

Adela tries to talk sense into Antonia about giving up Lobo for Renata’s benefit, but Antonia keeps shooting herself in the foot.

Miranda pulls the strings of her Cruz puppet with the bright idea that Antonia’s motive for going to the bad side is to avenge her father’s imprisonment.

Fernando tells Lobo that it’s better to let the one you love go when they don’t want to be with you. Later in the episode Santiago says he’s going to Miami. Huh? When did they have a falling out?

Ignacio Cruz has done a 180. He began the show using and selling drugs and now he’s bucking his family for the love of Sué, saying he doesn’t care who’s the bio dad of the baby she’s expecting.

Adela overhears Miranda and Cruz at the tail end of the plan to have Antonia be the scapegoat.

Eugenio wants to work with Antonia in her pursuit of Miranda and the rest of the baddies. He reminds her he’s been hunting baddies a long time.

Pyscho punk lies to Cocúla that he bravely escaped, when they actually let him go.

Miranda greets Lobo, who’s come to see Renata, in a sexy dress, with champagne already poured. They watch Cruz absolve Lobo on national TV.

Antonia is happy about Lobo’s being off the hook. But she and Fer worry about Miranda and Cruz conspiring.

Plácido goes nuts about Cruz absolving Lobo.

Renata insists on calling Antonia while Lobo is visiting. While they talk on the phone, Miranda slinks in and is joyful about Renata wanting Lobo to sleep over, fully realizing Antonia is still on the line.

Alejandro and Miranda scheme to out both of Cruz’s children, César for being out dancing with Misael and Ignacio for being at the brothel with Sué.

Carlo calls Leonor to again pressure her to come to a hotel and have sex with him, but he’s gunned down by El Az’s guys. Cruz figures out who killed Carlo and thinks it’s a threat against him.

Lobo comes to the cop shop. He’s greeted warmly by Adela and Hugo, but most of them give him the side eye.

Antonia and Eugenio stake out Miranda’s place. They notice her leaving with a huge security detail and wonder why that is.

At one point, in the Spanish, Hattuc said she was Kazim's older sister, but that's not what you wrote, dondi. It doesn't make sense Kazim would be calling his sister Auntie. It sort of made me scratch my head when she said that..

Ah, Ferit. So immature. He can't stop gloating over Seyran coming to the airport and kissing him. At least his snit over Yusuf driving her was over fast.

Loved his calling her drama queen and your aside that he's the king.

The scene with Hattuc and Halis in the hospital was very touching. So much was being said with just their eyes.

Hattuc is not putting up with Kazim's crap lately. Esme had a quick smile from the doorway as she watched Hattuc handle the ogre. But Suna is still there with him. Let her come back to the yali soon. Please, writers.

*Lobo reinstated back into law enforcement that quickly ? Laughed when only Adela & Hugo were the only ones happy for him, while everyone else gave him the side eye.

*Just as I predicted from the beginning: Carlos gets whacked & Lady Macbeth is determined to increasing the Body Count.

*Clingy Miranda & Alejandro plotting to out both Ignacio & Misael. Waiting for the juicy explosive fallout.

*Fernando becoming the voice of reason in this Telenovela: Lobo is going to figure out Miranda is still up to no good.

*Wondering if Sue will make it to the Gran Final alive 🤔

Agree that it felt like showrunners skipped a scene of Santiago breaking up with Fer. But Tuesday, for some reason Fer had Tuqueque Gecko Psycho Punk tied up inside their home (for lack of another place to put him), and Santiago came home. Santiago was disgusted. He has never liked the dirtier side of helping Renata. So that was likely the last straw for Santiago. Fer knew it too, when he saw Santi's reaction. Fast forward to Wednesday when Santi announces he is moving to Miami.

“…Hattuc said she was Kazim's older sister…” that was a bad translation. Hattuc is Kazim’s aunt, his “hala” (father’s sister). Everyone in the family addresses her as hala and so does Ferit. If Hattuc was his mother’s sister, she would be called “teyze”.

“Seyran slept in the bed! They didn't show where Ferit slept.” Good catch. But I think we can assume he slept on the couch. Sleeping in the same bed, even without physical contact, would be a bigger deal than the airport kiss.

“The scene with Hattuc and Halis in the hospital was very touching. So much was being said with just their eyes.” Very sweet. It’s like they picked up where they left off 40 years ago in Antep.
