Notes from the Couch "Just the Facts" Version

Please feel free to add anything I leave out

1. Joaquín grows angry as Flores insists how great it would be to interview the children and include them in his article. Joaquín accuses him of only wanting to profit off of the family's sorrow. The interview is over. He escorts Flores out.

2. Romina is having a bad day at work. Marcos tells her one more time that she doesn't have to work! She says she needs something of her own and an identity that is not just being his wife. He tells her that he doesn't blame her for not getting pregnant but then adds that if she wasn't under so much stress like she is at work, maybe she would get pregnant. She isn't about to give up another one of her dreams. He makes it clear her that being the way she is now, she will not be a mother or a wife either for that matter.

3. Romina's mood is not any better after that exchange. Iván comes by and has a coffee with her. It turns out she has always wanted to be a model.It si her dream. Iván tells her that he was serious when he said she was the most beautiful woman in the world and takes photos of her with his phone. That makes her feel better.

4. Marcos realizes he made a big mistake and brings flowers to Romina and apologizes. She accepts his apology. He is eager for them to have an evening together at home. She reminds him they have to to go her family's house for supper. He is not excited about that. She says it will be quick.

5. Iván has to explain to Kassandra that he repaid the company the amount of the check that he "lost " with his own funds. She clearly is suspicious and wants to tell Joaquín but he asks her not to make him look bad in the eyes of his brother. She agrees to not tell Joaquín . . . for now.

6. Joaquín makes a call to Verónica to return the medal. Vero's phone starts ringing in the laundry room as he comes looking for her. He wonders why she isn't answering her phone not realizing it is his call. She makes up a story about the call being from a neighbor who can be bothersome.

7. Joaquín's message for Verónica is that he wants to return the medal today. Can she meet him in an hour at the snack bar near his business? Vero never meets him but her aunt Consuelo does posing as Verónica. Joaquín is surprised thinking Verónica was that young woman he had seen from the back leaving the dinner. He asks her to tells her boss that he doesn't want him publishing any article about him and Luis. He refuses to authorize any article. He gives her the medal. She comments it is a family treasure and had given her many blessings. She is sure that it helped him, too, while he had it. Joaquín smiles and nods.

8. While she is waiting in her car for her aunt, Vero is spotted by Facundo. He notices how nervous she is. She makes up a story about how she works for another person besides Joaquín and really doesn't want him to know about that. She is waiting for her other employer right now. He asks her out. He hasn't stopped thinking about her. Careful not to insult him, she says she likes him but really can't have a relationship with anyone at this time. She asks him to go before her other employer returns. He agrees to go but is sure that destiny will bring them together again. Later, he tells Joaquín that he is very interested in "Consuelo". Joaquín says "Consuelo" can do want she wants. He is her boss, not her owner but that seems to give Joaquín something to think about.

9. When Vale complains about Dani and her ET fascination, Joaquín quotes what Vero told him. Each child is dealing with their parents' death in their own way.

10. Diego asks Joaquín why he won't let his sister race. Vale wants to be trained so she can be on the team. Joaquín tells him it is not his concern. He tells Vale it isn't going to happen. Her father would never have allowed her to race either. For now, she needs to focus on her education. He is not changing his mind.
 

11. Isaura gives Kassandra advice. She is the problem, not Joaquín. If she wants to win his heart, she needs a change in her look that focuses on beauty and seduction. She needs to let her fire out! Shine! She needs a makeover!
That is exactly what Kassandra does. She finds clothing that shows off her attributes! To top it off, she dyes her hair blonde.

12. Kassandra shows up at Joaquín's house. The kids think that she looks pretty. Joaquín looks her up and down and cannot take his eyes off of her. Carmen invites her to stay for supper. . . .

Jarifa, thank you for your excellent recap.

As Joaquín appeared to have gotten a good look at the retreating Vero when she lost her medal, his crestfallen (and rather surprised) disappointment in seeing "Verónica" was understandable (and very obvious). Vero's true identity is safe...at least for the moment.

Marcos continues his rather abusive ways and although pivots in apology, it's always at the last minute and seems rather insincere (to me at least). Iván is clearly smitten with Romina and there is an undeniable attraction. Guess it all depends on how much Marcos continues to mess things up :)

Facundo is already a thorn in Vero's side and unfortunately is trying to stick like glue.

Claudia is beaming that Diego is with her, but had she seen the longing look he gave Majo, it would have given her pause.

I think Kass looked quite beautiful with her darker locks, but she does indeed look like a blonde bombshell now, which is just the look she was going for. That black outfit was something. Joaquín looked suitably impressed (as I rolled my eyes).

Why was Vero spoon feeding Daniela; did I miss something?

I was disappointed in Joaquín enjoying Kassandra’s new look way too much.
Guess we know where that plot could be going. : (

Dani was ill with a fever and it seemed like Vero was babying her by feeding her.

"I wonder how many times Marcos has apologized to Romina for his big mouth. She deserves better and that doesn't mean Iván" is exactly right Jarifa! She would be trading one problem man for another. Unless one of them grows up (and quickly) (doubtful), Romina would be far better off on her own. She should follow her dream of modeling, and she certainly doesn't need either of them to do that!

Thanks for explaining the hand feeding which I think it was a bit overboard. :)

I think Vero was babying her more to stay out of the way of her newspaper boss who was in the house at the time I thought it odd also.

I didn't think Joaquin was that blown away by the new Kassandra. I really liked her former braid hairstyle and wished I could achieve the same with my hair but I think it requires an extra set of hands. I realize Kassandra is going to end up being bad, but I feel for her. She actually would have been a good fit for the old Joachim that didn't want kids and was dedicated to his job.

Joachin definitely gave Kassandra the once over . Cassandra finally took to heart her mother's advice on how to seduce a man . The makeover turned Cassandra into Irina , the actress playing her ...blonde and wearing sexy clothing ! The clothes shopping reminded me of the scene from " Pretty Woman ."

Facundo seems to be everywhere all the time . He recognized Vero )Consuelo even with her hair down and no glasses.

Joachim enjoying A COKE gave me a giggle. Product placements are ever with us in these shows . Susan

I don't trust Marcos not to flip flop again. Romina needs to drop that yo-yo. Too bad she's confiding in Ivan, instead of her sister, about her dream of modeling.

I'm guessing Romina will get to race again. She's 17, but in a year she could strike out on her own with another motorcross company.

The blonde makeover made me laugh. Anyone recall the ancient Clairol commercial "If I've only one life to live, let me live it as a blonde!"

Kat, any sympathy I might have had for Kassandra disappeared when she threatened Vero. I like both hair colors but preferred her usual office attire. I never get over the sexy clothes being worn at work in the office in these
novelas.

Susan, "Facundo seems to be everywhere all the time." Yes and he may be deaf but he sure sees and notices everything. That was one very tall can of Coke Zero! I do not think I have seen a can like that up here. I love looking for product placements that sometimes devolve into real commercials.

I enjoyed the episode where Uriel was dancing with Marisol's father . The writers seem to be pushing Uriel toward Marisol and the light...and comic relief. I am long track of parents and children . Susan

Notes from the Couch . . . so much high drama, I almost fell off my couch

Please feel to add anything I left out.

1. Hugo tells Nayeli how glad he is that he went to the doctor because the eye drops are helping him. What is more Vale went with him! The problem is his alternate has his eye on Vale and wants to take her away from him. Nayeli is confident that he is worth more than any alternate.

2. Consuelo tells Vero how Joaquín wants "Verónica" to stop any article that Flores wants to write about him.

3. Eleazar asks Claudia if Vale and Hugo are going out. She tells them that they are very good friends even though Hugo wants it to be more. Vale is dying to train and race. Joaquín will not let her. Hugo should use that to his advantage.

4. Dani catches Vale looking at a photo of Eleazar on her phone. No, she is not interested in him. He is unbearable. Dani doesn't believe her. Diego daydreams about Majo

5. Majo and her father are watching a real romantic tear jerker of a movie. They both know the lines and say them along with the actors. They agree it is the best movie for when you are sad. They end up crying at the ending even though there is hope to love again. He asks if somebody has broken her heart. She says no and explains it is just that you meet someone, you are hopeful and then you find out they are stuck on someone else. He gets it. He decided to be a bachelor years ago.

6. The family supper from hell is taking place at Consuelo's. It doesn't take long for Aurelio to be criticizing the magazine that Vero works for. He cannot believe that she put forth so much effort in her schooling only to be writing nonsense. Vero tells him that anything she has accomplished has been in spite of him. He has a lot of nerve to judge what she is doing. Father Nico tries to calm them all down when Marcos pops up with his opinion that women should spend more time at home than at the office. Romina tells him to shut up. She then asks why her father and her sister are fighting all the time.

7. All of the kids are eating supper elsewhere for a variety reasons , so Joaquín is left alone at the supper table with Kassandra. She says it is just like old times with the two of them. After dinner they move to a glass of wine on the couch. He tells her that she is so different. It isn't just how she looks but it is her attitude.

8. Romina asks Vale what their father did to her. It seems that he always supported her in her studies which is more than what he did for her. Aurelio is angry that now Romina is attacking him, too. How was he supposed to support her to be a . . . model? Marcos makes it clear that he agrees with Aurelio. Being a model isn't a career for a decent woman. Romina has had it with the troglodyte backing the caveman but she also wonders why Vero never supported her. Instead, Vero left home and left her all alone. Vero tries to explain that it had nothing to do with her. Romina decides to leave reminding them that family events are always ruined just like this. Marcos follows.

9. Vero goes into the house. Aurelio follows her accusing her of ruining the dinner, She tells him it is his fault. She knows he will never take responsibility for what he did. He kept her locked up for he entire pregnancy as if she were criminal and then he gave her daughter away. He screams that he saved her life. He did all he could to deal with her irresponsibility. She was the one at fault. She trapped him and her mother. They brought her up in a home with principles but she had other ideas and ended up pregnant at 15!!! She argues she was in love. He disagrees that anyone could be in love at 15. She accuses him of choosing to keep up appearances rather than supporting her and her daughter. He informs her that there was NO money and the baby was one more mouth to feed. What kind of future would she give that baby? She says she would have done whatever she had to to support her but he was only embarrassed. She accuses him of never acknowledging her pain. He calls her unfair. Thanks to him, she has a life. She thanks him for her losing her daughter. She adds that he doesn't need to worry because now nobody or nothing will separate her from her daughter. He asks her if she has found that BASTARD. She tells him not yet but when she does, he will not separate her from her daughter. He tells her to stop her absurd obsession of finding her daughter. Seeing what she has become, he knows he didn't make a mistake and wherever that BASTARD is, he is sure she is a thousand times better off than being with her. He advises her to let things as they are. He is begging her. She says that he knows nothing about begging and asks him to leave. He grabs his left arm and seems out of breath. He hopes that she can forgive him someday and he hope that day isn't too late.

10. Father Nico is waiting for Aurelio outside. He could hear them screaming in the street. Aurelio only wants his support. Nico reminds him that he didn't support what he and his wife did and would have done something to stop them but he was at the seminary at the time. Aurelio says he has had enough with what "that woman" said to him.Nico has to remind him that she is his daughter.
Aurelio refuses to be the villain because he saved her from ruining her life. He did the right thing. Nico asks before who? Before God or his pride? Nico knows all about confessions and forgiveness. He tells his brother he needs to forgive himself for what he did. Still stubborn, Aurelio is done talking. Seeing the state he is in, Nico insists walking home with him.

11. Joaquín remembers the fall on the bed with "Consuelo" and smiles. He has to remind himself that she is his employee. He has to focus on the children.

12. Flores insists that Vero come into the office. He has an interview for her.; something she will like.

13. Joaquín has to go to the office for a meeting and hates to leave Carmen alone with the kids. She tells him to go because "Consuelo" will be there with her. Vero calls her and tells her she cannot come in today. She lies and says has to take her father to an appointment.

14. Joaquín sees Kassandra at the office and tells her how good she looks. Iván notices the change and tells his brother that global warming has affected the iceberg and she is melting. Iván can tell that his brother is interested in somebody. Joaquín says maybe as he envisions Vero. She is a different kind of woman: sincere, authentic and so joyful. No, it is not Kassandra. Kassandra listens at the door when Joaquín admits that for the first time in all these years he felt attracted to Kassandra but adds that it was a momentary thing and that there is much more needed in a relationship. That being said, with the change in her look, it will be hard to see her the same way as before. For him love is not simply physical attraction. It is something more. For him, his friendship with Kassandra is much more important. She is also his right hand at the company. He doesn't want to lose her. Iván cannot believe it.They both laugh.

15. Aurelio goes to see Consuelo who is not pleased with how he left Vero. Does he expect applause for having taken her baby away? He insists he did it for her own good. He did what he did only thinking of her. She disagrees. He did it for himself. He and his wife left Vero a broken little girl. She was there to glue the pieces back together. He wants to know if Vero is she close to finding that mistake of a daughter of hers? She refuses to answer and tells him to leave. He has no authority in her house. He says he will find out. She reminds him that her sister died from the guilt, pain and repentance she carried with her and that sickened her. She reminds him he has a bad heart. Is he planning on leaving this world without embracing his own daughter? Without asking her for forgiveness? He says she has it wrong. Vero is the one who should be begging HIM for forgiveness.

16. Diego tells Majo he isn't one of those guys who cheats on his novia. She tells him not to worry. The kiss was no big deal and forgotten already.

17. Eleazar offers to train Vale and to be her coach. She says that Hugo can do that for her. All she has to do is ask him. He doesn't hink that Hugo wil risk his position but he is ready to run the risk. He also cannot stop thinking about her.
They almost kiss. She backs up saying that she cannot deal with a relationship right now. It isn't the best time for her.She doesn't want to lose more people in her life. He insists he will not hurt her. He offers to train her. She says she will think about it.

18. Vero arrives at work and finds out that Flores wants her to interview Facundo to get the article on Joaquín and Luis that he wants. It turns out that Facundo was also a racer on the same team as Joaquín and Luis for several years. Flores is interested in all of the tragedies that marked Joaquín's relationhips with his fellow riders. Vero refuses saying that Flores knows exactly how she feels about that. and reminds him that Joaquín doesn't want to expose Luis' children any of this. Joaquín doesn't want Flores to publish anything. He told her that when he returned her medal. Facundo tells Flores he has no ethics. He said he had Joaquín's approval and that is not true. He is Joaquín's friend and by being there he is putting that friendship at risk. He leaves. Flores is angry and congratulates Vero on ruining article.

19. Vero runs out to the parking lot to talk with Facundo. He thinks that Verónica suits her more than Consuelo. She thanks him for not outing her with Flores. He never would do something like that but he does need an explanation from her of what is going on. She agrees but she has to go be "Consuelo." He finds it problematical that he knows that she isn't being honest with his friend.
What should he do? She explains that "Consuelo" exists". She is using her aunt's identity. She promises to explain everything to him later that evening. He will be awaiting her call.

Jarifa, your powerful recap was written beautifully; what a revelatory episode!

The family dinner was an emotional disaster; agida the main course with a side of emotional turmoil.

"Romina has had it with the troglodyte backing the caveman but she also wonders why Vero never supported her" perfectly described Romina's heartache and frustration in feeling seemingly alone, abandoned by her sister while stuck in backward, hurtful relationships with her dismissive father and imperious, high handed, controlling husband. Vero is clearly not the only one suffering.

Aurelio "...asks her if she has found that BASTARD. She tells him not yet but when she does, he will not separate her from her daughter. He tells her to stop her absurd obsession of finding her daughter". Time has certainly not healed any wounds. After all these years, Aurelio's heart remains hardened with not a scintilla of mercy or regret to be found. He remains immune and immovable to his daughter's pain, stone cold in his righteousness.

I smiled at "Iván notices the change and tells his brother that global warming has affected the iceberg and she is melting". Although not the perfect family dynamic, there is at least somewhat of a bond between the brothers although honesty remains elusive.

I applauded Consuelo's "She reminds him he has a bad heart. Is he planning on leaving this world without embracing his own daughter? Without asking her for forgiveness?" A voice of fairness and reason. Yet "He says she has it wrong. Vero is the one who should be begging HIM for forgiveness". Really Aurelio?? Immovable and irredeemable.

I had to shake my head at Facundo who now seems privy to most of Vero's secrets including her true identity. "She explains that "Consuelo" exists". She is using her aunt's identity. She promises to explain everything to him later that evening. He will be awaiting her call". I just bet he will. She will prevail on him to keep her secrets, but what price will he exact for that??

"Eleazar offers to train Vale and to be her coach". Consistently persistent. Must run in the family. :(

Is it just me or is Flores just plain annoying??

Jarifa, thank you so much for your detailed notes from the couch as I sit on my couch.

The visual was showing lots of angst and anger , but your recap gave me the hurtful dialogue that accompanied it . yikes. Aurelio is completely unrepentant .
On a lighter note, I must comment that Ivan seems to have found a comb somewhere and used it . Also, there appears to be a relationship forming between him and his daughter and also one with his brother . I am now back to the theory that Ivan and Joaquin will.become allies against Facundo..

Cassandra Looks very hopeful now that she has captured Joachin's eye. Meow.

Diana, Flores is , indeed, annoying and unrelenting in his pursuit of a story that Joachim doesn't want him to print ..

It seems that the three daughters are all in Vales bedroom now , so will Joachim have a bedroom that isn't the master bedroom ? Susan

There was so much good dialogue in this last episode, that I just couldn't let it go by without translating some of it. I could not believe Aurelio calling his own granddaughter a bastard. Technically, she is but that sounded like something out of another century and time. His reaction and that of his wife to hide the pregnancy and then put the baby up for adoption also seem to be out of another century and time as was previously mentioned. It sounds like Vero's pregnancy threw a wrench in the portrait of his family that he held in his head. Then he referred to Vero as "that woman"! What was up with that? Alexis Ayala is doing a fantastic job portraying such a bitter, and intransigent broken man. The look of hatred in his eyes is unsettling.

My favorite scenes last night were of Majo and her father watching that tear-jerker of a romantic movie.

Diana, How perfect! "The family dinner was an emotional disaster; agida the main course with a side of emotional turmoil." Why even bother? I wonder why Vero never told her sister the truth.

"She will prevail on him to keep her secrets, but what price will he exact for that??" I am wondering about that, too. I have a feeling nothing is for nothing with Facundo. Maybe pressure from him will speed up Vero's reveal to Vale. Her is hoping! As for Flores, he gets only more pushy and obnnoxious each time he pops up.

Susan, from one couch to another, "I am now back to the theory that Ivan and Joaquin will.become allies against Facundo." Me, too. Although he is still "crooked" around the edges, maybe Majo will force him to make a turn towards the straight and narrow. "On a lighter note, I must comment that Ivan seems to have found a comb somewhere and used it " Too funny. Iván isn't a bad looking guy. He just needs a little refinement like combing his hair!

Holy moly, Facundo discovers Vero's double life. Diana, you've asked the million-dollar question: "She will prevail on him to keep her secrets, but what price will he exact for that??"

I like Hugo and (I confess) Eleazar too. I see Hugo (sadly for him) in Vale's friend zone. I see Eleazar in Vale's too hot to handle zone -- when he invades her personal space, sizzle!

Thanks so much, Jarifa, for both informative recaps. My favorite scene was Ivan and his daughter both reciting the words from the movie as they watched it. They’re going to be good for each other!

Poor Vero, walking into the office and being introduced to Facundo. He will expect something in return for his keeping the secret. She and Ivan are going to be sorry they have let him do them a favor.

I agree that Vale is attracted to Eleazar. And it’s probably not his fault he’s not really a nice person. But since Facundo’s was behind her parents’ deaths, I think that romance is doomed.

Romina needs to dump Marcos. He thinks if she stayed home she’d get pregnant. She really married a man just like her dad. I’m surprised she has no idea Vero had a baby and all the drama. I don’t know how they kept it from her.

Didn’t one of Barbie’s friends want Salvador? I think she tried to mess up their relationship. Then I guess she decided to go after Rex.

Inez is the mother of Salvador, according to my notes. Also Marisol. But Salvador was only 4 when she left them for Aramis.

I’m not always sure about who’s who and I don’t understand why some characters are doing what they’re doing. Although I have the cheat sheet from Blue Lass, which is a big help. I know Grecia is plotting against Gonzo, Along with Uriel, but I have no idea what they’re after.

That was Barbi’s friend Monique trying to mow down poor Rex. She borrowed the car from El Bulldog, who is apparently her STEPFATHER. As if the family relationships weren’t convoluted enough!

Susan, if you were asking about Catalina, we’re pretty sure she’s Rex’s birth Mom. We’ve seen the call of the blood twice now.

Eleazar the Seer
Vale asks Hugo if he would do anything for her. He says of course but that changes when she asks him to train her on the sly. . His reaction is just what Eleazar told her it would be. He cannot put his place on the team or his job in jeopardy if Joaquín were to find out. She is more than disappointed considering how she protected his place on the team by taking his place in the race. She complains that motocross is the only thing that makes her feel like herself.

That's Business . . . More Like Monkey Business
Joaquín tells Kassandra they are losing one of their accounts to Nolivos Motors because they didn't win the last race. Kassandra introduces Joaquín to a new prospective customer Saúl Larralde. Saúl openly flirts with Kassandra. Joaquín looks uncomfortable. Kassandra smiles because what Joaquín doesn't know is that it is all an act. Isaura had the idea to hire Saúl so he could make Joaquín jealous. Kassandra says that he did. Isaura says if she follows her directions, Joaquín will soon be theirs. Later Kassandra tells him that Saùl never placed an order. Joaquín thought he wasn't serious but he wanted to steal his assistant. She says he needs to take care of her since you never know what could happen. They laugh. They are both working late. She says to let her know if he wants a coffee or anything else . . .

Carmen's Warning
Vero is all over the place explaining why she had to take a few hours off and Carmen smells a lie. She tells Vero that Joaquín is a very good person BUT he DETESTS lies.

Is Vero's Goose Cooked?
When Joaquín comes home, Vero is nervous worried about Facundo outing her to him. She is even more nervous when Facundo calls him to meet with him. She tells her aunt that now she is worried about her father being suspicious
that she has found her daughter besides Facundo telling Joaquiín who she really is. She would have to leave the job and would lose all contact with Vale. Her aunt advises her to tell Vale who she is. Vero says she cannot do that yet. Consuelo says the only thing that will save her then is for Facundo to be silent on the issue.

Will Iván Make Romina's Dream Come True?
Iván thinks that Romina looks like a top model. She confides in him that she tried to tell her family about her dream of being a model but nobody supported her.

A Skulker with a Heart!
Vero goes into Vale's room and looks through her photo album. She takes a photo of Vale as a little girl. Vale accuses Vero skulking in her room. Vero says that she was trying to put a cloth heart she had fashioned from the ruined dress in her photo album as a memoir of her mother. She hands her the heart. Vale loves it and asks her to help her choose a dress to wear for an outing with her friends. She hope she doesn't burn it. She doesn't!

Facundo Has News for Joaquín
Facundo tells Joaquín he has something he needs to know that happened behind his back. He tells him how Flores wanted to interview him about Joaquín and Luis. Flores gave him the impression that Joaquín had authorized the article. When Facundo found out what Flores' point of view was going to be, he turned him down. He wanted Joaquín to know that he met with Flores, so he didn't find out some other way. He respects him too much for that.. .

Young Love
Yaneli is still suffering over Hugo. Majo tells Carmen that they guy she likes already has a girlfriend. Carmen says she should still go after the guy. Majo doesn't want any trouble. Carmen offers to set her up with Eleazar. Majo sn't interested. Carmen loves Diego so much even though he has been a bit strange lately due to his parents death . . . She is even planning on marrying him. Majo is incredulous. She will be glad to not be a waitress anymore and not end up like her mother. Lorena overhears her and is upset. At a get together, Carmen introduces Majo to Eleazar. Nobody is with who they really want to be with. Everyone is miserable.

Looking for Peace
Consuelo ends up weeping in church. Father Nico asks her what is up. She admits that somebody is disturbing her. He knows that it is Aurelio. She is also concerned about Vero. Vero needs to heal and Aurelio needs to open his eyes before it is too late. She asks him to talk to his brother. Nico says he tries all the time but Aurelio is stuck on the idea that everything he has done is in God's name but has forgotten God's gift of forgiveness. She adds also of love. What Vero needed was support and not punishment when she got pregnant.
She talks about Nayeli being in love with a guy who isn't interested. She admits that she herself is all wound up. He knows that is because she loves in secret, too. She explains that she buried her love for Aurelio good and deep but that doesn't mean she didn't suffer over it. Nico knows and adds that so does God. It is no sin to love but lying to yourself is. She prays very hard so that Aurelio realizes what he did and asks his daughter to forgive him before it is too late.

You Can't Always Get What You Want . . . Yet
Diego is throwing a tantrum one more time when he arrives at the company and finds out that his father's office is locked. He yells at Joaquín to unlock it. Joaquín is more than happy to tell him why he won't. It is good that he is interested in the business but he is in no way prepared to face the challenge.
Joaquín brings him to an open office space and tells him that is where he will be starting. Diego cannot believe he is being treated like a nobody. Joaquín informs him that if he really wants to follow in his father's steps, he has a lot to learn. He will have to work hard and start from the bottom up. Yelling and tantrums won't do it. He is still in prep school. Once he gets his university degree and can show him that he knows the value of work and can deal with the responsibility, then he will give him the key to his father's office. There is no crown to be inherited. He is there to make his own way. Diego ends up agreeing and thanks him. Joaquín makes it clear that he is there to support him and not replace his father. He is there to honor what his father wanted for him.

Romina Hits a Wall with Marcos
When Romina brings up having a modeling career to fulfill her dreams, Marcos tells her to do Pilates as he continues to channel surf until she grabs the remote and turns off the tv. He thinks he knows better and informs her that she is frustrated because she cannot have a baby not because she cannot be a model. Iván texts her a photo but she doesn't respond. He wonders if Marcos saw it and is coming over to strangle him with his mechanic's hands. When she finally decides to answer the text, Marcos asks who she is texting at this late hour.

Facundo Wants the Truth and Nothing but the Truth
Facundo comes to Vero's house. She thought he would have told Joaquín. about who she is. He answers that he said he wouldn't and he didn't. He does feel she owes him an explanation about her double life. She agrees to tell him her truth. He adds that he would never do anything to hurt her. She starts to tell her story.

Carmen "tells Vero that Joaquín is a very good person BUT he DETESTS lies". Given everything that has been revealed about Joaquín to date, an unsurprising revelation. A man of principal, character and honesty who brandishes an innate sense of duty. If only Vero had told him the truth earlier! I'm sure he would have worked with her to ensure as smooth of a reunion as possible with Vale (under the circumstances). I can't believe she spilled the tea to Facundo who now has power over her as well as the unsuspecting Joaquin. Que lastima!

Yes, all of the mismatched couples are truly "miserable". I had to smile at Majo and Eleazar who were struggling (halfheartedly) to keep up their conversation, neither interested in the other in the slightest. Vale needs to tell Hugo that he's permanently in the friend zone with no chance of advancement.

Romina and Marcos are headed toward the proverbial brick wall, and she is very vulnerable right now. Hopefully, Moondoggie Ivan will back off a bit and give her space to figure everything out.

Consuelo "prays very hard so that Aurelio realizes what he did and asks his daughter to forgive him before it is too late". There is a word for that: "miracle". I would wager that will not be happening any time soon.

"Kassandra says that he did. Isaura says if she follows her directions, Joaquín will soon be theirs". THEIRS I ask incredulously? Isaura the leech.

Joaquin did seem to make headway making Diego understand he won't be handed the keys to the kingdom, that he will need to earn them first.
