Discussion on Corazon is struggling to take off, but it has hopes. Drop in and join the fun! Notes from the Couch
FACUNDO ON THE MOVE
Vero tells Facundo how Flores ended up firing her because she wasn't for the award presentation. She starts to question her own decision to leave when Facundo tells her there was no choice because of her daughter being the most important thing in her life. He hugs her.
Facundo astes no time in paying Flores a visit. He tells him that his decision to fire Vero, his only journalist who is worth anything at his silly publication. he admits he is going out with her but he is not there to talk about his feelings. He is there to make a deal to increase the visibility of Flores' publication with a good scandal that everyone will be talking about. An article about Luis Miranda could do the trick. It would not have anything to do with Vero but would have to do with him since the real story is not at the house but at the company itself where he works. There the darkest and filthiest secrets about millionaire debts, extramarital affairs and industrial espionage are to be found. Flores seems intrigued and wants to talk about the proposal; but Facundo tells him that will not be happening until he re-hires Vero, with a raise and an apology. Vero will know nothing about them talking nor will anyone else. Also, Facundo make it clear that if Flores wants to work with him, it will be on his terms. He will call the shots and Flores will publish the story he wants him to tell. The article will also be a mortal blow to Joaquín Navarro. Before Flores an answer, Facundo is gone.
Vero goes in to clean out her desk and Flores re-hires her for basically "old times' sake". He says that she has to publish three articles a week and has to work in the office two hours a day. (I never heard about a raise or an apology, just saying) Vero accepts although the terms are going to be difficult for her to fulfill.
VERO AND JOAQUÍN
Vero is still remembering that kiss.. . Joaquín hasn't forgotten it either either as he witnesses the hug that Facundo gives Vero. Iván pops up and tells him that he bets he would like to be in Facundo's place. He has never seen his brother look at any woman like that. He teases him about being in love. He tells him he should fight for Vero. Joaquín admits to being confused and thinks he needs to focus on the kids, the company and Kassandra. He has to start seeing Vero only as a valuable employee. Iván clearly doesn't believe him.

KASSANDRA LAUNCHES HER PLAN
Isaura introduces Aurelio to Kassandra. She met him at tai chi and he helped her after she sprained her ankle. He has only praise for Isaura's beauty. Not wanting to overstay his welcome, he leaves.
Kassandra is less than impressed with Aurelio and says he is just like all of the men who have cost her a fortune and left them with no money. Isaura reminds her that when she becomes Joaquín's wife, money will not be an issue. Kassandra gives her the bad news that he wants them to wait a while before she moves back in. If her mother thought that Joaquín would be on his knees begging her to come back, she was wrong. So, now her focus is on Vero. who is standing in her way. She needs to find out all she can about her. Everyone is hiding something. If she doesn't find anything, she will make something up. She will destroy her holy image, no matter the cost.
The next day Kassandra is at Joaquín's house to bring him some papers to sign before the race so he doesn't have to go to the office. She has brought some chocolates for Carmen. Carmen says she hopes that she can fix her relationship with Joaquín so that she can come back to "her home." She adds that it would be best to keep her mother out of her relationship. Kassandra says her mother has plenty to do now that she has a new romance. His name is Aurelio. Vero who is bringing a mop and bucket into the kitchen drops the mop from the shock of hearing her father's name. . She apologizes. Kassandra tells Carmen to offer Vero some chocolate for everything that she does for everyone at the house. Her real feeling are exposed as she kicks Vero's bucket over as she leaves the kitchen.
Kassandra moves on to Joaquín's office with the office work. She tells him she misses him. He says they have to find a moment to talk about them. They agree now is the time to concentrate on the race and getting new sponsors and investors. She knows it will all turn out because he is a winner!!! She gives him a kiss on the cheek and Iván comes in and thwarts her from going any further.
THE BREAK UP AND THE FALL OUT
Finally, Diego tells Claudia that their relationship is over for good. He doesn't want to hurt he but he doesn't love her. At the same time, Vale is telling Majo that things are really bad between her brother and Claudia. Claudia enters Vale's room in tears and Majo leaves. She pauses outside of Diego's room but thinks better of it and leaves. He opens the door and looks out on the empty hall. Vale is upset with the break up because Claudia is her BFF. Diego doesn't want to hear it.

Iván tells Diego that he is sure he will end up with a really great girl!
Claudia turns up at the snack bar to work. She tells her mother that she decided she is not going to school anymore because she humiliated her. Nobody cares about her including her and Diego. She will slave away although it is her mothers' duty to support her, etc.., etc., etc.
BEFORE THE RACE
Eleazar trains at the gym and Hugo trains at the playground with Nayeli.
RACE DAY
Eleazar tries to talk to his father but Facundo is less than helpful. He tells his son that maybe his mother is right. Maybe he should sell insurance or be a server like his half-sister. Eleazar says he really wants to be a racer. Facundo thinks if really wanted to, he would dedicate 100% of his talent and he is not doing that. So, he should dedicate himself to be part of the team and being mediocre like he is. He can be a good number two. He tells him to leave.
Facundo and Lorena argue about Eleazar.She thinks Eleazar is destroying himself trying to meet Eleazar's demands. Eleazar is very upset because he thinks he has disappointed his father. His message is that the world is a tough place and competitive. He thinks she would do better if she DEMANDED that her daughter treat her with some dignity. She might feel she is a good mother but her daughter hates her so she should think about that before trying to give him lessons about being a father.
Hugo wants to review race strategy with Eleazar and tells him he is the starter so Eleazar's job is to shield him from other racers. If all goes well, he will finish first and Eleazar second. Eleazar agrees they are a team.
Joaquín allows Vale to take the day off from school to see the race. Marcos sees Nayeli and introduces her to Vale and Joaquín as his niece and Hugo's novia. Nayeli introduces herself as Consuelo's daughter. Yes, her mother works for Joaquín. Joaquín is so happy to meet her. It is such a small world. Marcos expresses his surprise that her mother is working for Joaquín, too. Joaquín says that her mother is so special like a member of the family. Vale and Nayeli hit it off. They go to see Hugo before the race. Nayeli tells Facundo and her mother who tells Vero that she knows what to say so as to not blow Vero's cover.
Vale tells Hugo how happy she is for him that he has a novia. She says that her mother is really cool and Nayeli is just as pretty.
POLITO
Polito comes by to see Joaquín who shows him that he has made the transfer of funds to cover Olga's bail. He will pay Polito's fees when Olga is free and all charges against her have been dropped. Polito also mentions that Interpol is on the look out for Borja. He takes out a St. Jude card and says with St.Jude's help and the penal code, Olga will be found innocent. He also has no idea yet who kidnapped Iván but with the help of the saints, he hopes they will be captured. Iván thanks his brother for everything.
FIN
Iván tells Diego that he is sure he will end up with a really great girl!

Jarifa stellar as always. A finely tuned masterpiece. Polito, flashing the St. Jude card and his fun and larger than life persona had me smiling away. Yaneli was brimming with exuberance and joy. No wonder Vale was charmed. Her little white lies were interspersed with truths and Marcos couldn't quibble. Mostly because he wasn't privy to what is really going on. Facundo is sickening for oh so many reasons. I was a bit surprised Isaura had 💰 but was parted with it due to her poor choice of men. Aurelio continues her losing streak. Diego finally mans up and breaks up with Claudia. I feel for Lorena, Claudia is a rotten kid.
Love Vero and Joaquin's growing chemistry. I have no idea how Kass plans on "landing" Joaquin. She has no charm, no personality and no game. How is Vero going to crank out 3 articles a week working 2 hours a day? 🤔 well I have faith.

I had no idea Joaquin payed the bail money for Olga. I hope she doesn’t move into the house too! But I wonder how Joaquin can come up with more money! Also Kassandra is still after him and her mom thinks that will make them rich. But Kassandra is also aware that Mario is out to ruin him, with Facundo’s help and Kassandra’s cooperation.
I was glad Diego finally broke up with Claudia. She’s not very likable and I wonder how she can be Vale’s best friend. I can’t imagine what will happen when Diego and Majo become a couple!
It looks like Facundo will get the story Flores wants! I wonder if he’ll blame Vero. He said she was the love of his life but I think hurting Facundo will be more important to him. Plus I imagine somehow she’ll get blamed for the story.
Nayeli is like a breath of fresh air! I think she’s great for Hugo and not sure why Hugo wasn’t telling anyone that they were novios. I’m guessing he still has hopes of getting Vale.
I guess we know it’s going to get worse before it gets better! I really think Vero will be the one to save Joaquin when Flores publishes Facundo’s so called facts. He’s too into destroying Joaquin to realize Vero is an investigative reporter, although he seems to know she’s the best reporter Flores has.
I loved the scene at the racetrack. Nayeli just jumped right in and became “Consuelo’s” daughter. The only confused one was Marcos. I’m pretty sure he’ll mention it to Romina! I hope so!

Claudia is taking out her frustration over Diego breaking up with her out on her mother . She has made Lorena her punching bag . Awful to watch .

P.s. you recall what telenovela,in the past had us talking about a villain getting hit by " the pie cart ?" I forgot who started it , but we had a lot of fun with it . I think Sergio Sendel was in it. Im.still waiting for him to throw his phone !!

You know, the tone of this novela reminds me of last year's summer novela with David Zepeda "A.MAR: donde el amor teje sus redes" Maybe David Zepeda will be known as the galán of the summer novela!
Diana, I agree with your verdict on Claudia " I feel for Lorena, Claudia is a rotten kid." What a brat! Too bad that Lorena can't send her off to live with whoever her father is. There is NO chemistry between Kassandra and Joaquín. I do not understand why he still thinks that it is going to magically appear.

I’m guessing he still has hopes of getting Vale." Nayeli wasn't going to take a back seat to anyone as Hugo's novia at that race! I liked her confidence. She forced Hugo to deal with it and he did! Glad that Vale gave Hugo her blessing to be with Nayeli so .we can get beyond that.
Susan, I, also, appreciated your "No matter what house he is in, Ivan is always relaxing on a couch ...and not recapping a telenovela!!! It made me laugh. Now, if only I had a drink in my hand like he usually does . . . there would never be a recap! I have to admit that I have enjoyed Iván in the last couple of episodes. He is a wheeler dealer but he doesn't miss a thing and seems to have a good heart that does make itself known every once in a while.

Susan, I, also, appreciated your "No matter what house he is in, Ivan is always relaxing on a couch ...and not recapping a telenovela!!! It made me laugh. Now, if only I had a drink in my hand like he usually does . . . there would never be a recap! I have to admit that I have enjoyed Iván in the last couple of episodes. He is a wheeler dealer but he doesn't miss a thing and seems to have a good heart that does make itself known every once in a while.

THE RACE AND ITS AFTERMATH
The race is on and it takes an unexpected turn when Hugo loses traction and Eleazar surges past him. After Hugo regains control, Eleazar does nothing to block for him as was the team strategy laid out by Navarro Cross. Eleazar leaves Hugo to block for him so he can win the race. Joaquín and Marcos are upset but Facundo cheers his son on. After crossing the finish line, Eleazar takes off his helmet and yells that he won; he's the best and he is number one!!! Hugo is angry. Navarro Cross wins first and second place with Eleazar and Hugo while their nemesis Nolivos comes in third even with the better bike. Navarro Cross won the race they had to win but not in the way Joaquín wanted.
In the locker room, Hugo calls Eleazar garbage He has no code of honor. Eleazar asks if he was supposed to lose to make him feel better. Hugo says when there was a space, Eleazar did not let him pass. Hugo thinks that Eleazar has no idea of how to race on a team and that will cause him problems.
Joaquín tells Facundo that Eleazar made a serious mistake since he didn't follow the strategy. Facundo sees it differently. Hugo put the race in jeopardy and his son was able to get ahead. Kassandra and Joaquín celebrate the win with champagne. He is happy with the win over Nolivos but what Eleazar did rubbed him the wrong way. He had several chances to let Hugo pass and to follow the strategy they had been given and he didn't. He will have to talk to him. He also didn't care for the way Facundo was acting either. Kassandra reminds him that Eleazar is his son. Eleazar understands that but he believes that it was Facundo who convinced his son to ignore the team strategy and race for himself. Kassandra is surprised to hear him talk about Facundo like that. He used to blindly believe in him. She thinks that Joaquín changed his opinion when Facundo started going out with Vero. She thinks he is jealous. Joaquín becomes angry about her saying things like that. She explains it is because she is so insecure in their relationship. He gets it. He wants their relationship to work, he needs it to work but he has so many problems at the company, at home and now more with her. He has had enough of her complaints. Vero is his employee nothing else. He is not jealous. She apologizes. He goes on saying that when she came to live with him, he thought things would be fine but instead the household turned into a battle field. He has enough problems. The company is in crisis and Luis' kids' inheritance is at risk. He needs allies and not enemies. She agrees he is right and apologizes. She promises she will change. She asks for another chance. (Geez, she sounds like Claudia) They kiss.
OLGA NEVER FORGETS A FACE
Olga is out of jail and has ended up at the Miranda house with Iván and Majo being as annoying as ever. After hearing complaint after complaint, Iván offers to send her back to Joaquín's place where the killers who are looking for her. She ends up telling Iván how grateful she is to him and apologizes for what he had to suffer through because of her.
Vero comes in and Iván introduces "Consuelo" to Olga. Olga says her name is not Consuelo but is Verónica. She asks if Vero recognizes her. Vero says no. Olga says they met when her parents brought her from Spain to a convent in Mexico. . It was years before she knew Iván. She was 14 and her parents had her enrolled in a "reading program" at the convent. Verónica's parents had forced her into the "reading program", too. Both sets their parents were religious. A very nervous Vero says she was never at a convent over and over again but it doesn't stop Olga who never forgets a face. Olga remembers how they got along from the get go and that one night they ran away together. Vero gets short reprieve when Diego and Majo appear.
Olga continues her relentless attack in the kitchen later insisting that Vero is the Verónica she used to know.. She doesn't know what the big deal is. Life takes many turns and there is no reason to be ashamed. They were only kids. Looks at her. Nobody ever thought she would end up in a jail and she did. She tells Vero to be proud of herself. Olga tries but cannot remember Verónica's last name. Vero says whatever she can to get her off the track. Vero says her mother says that she has a very common face so everyone seems to think they know her from somewhere. Olga says it is too bad she isn't the Verónica she knew because she always hoped to see her again. She wonders what ever happened to her. (Okay, so it seems Vero must have been sent to the convent to take a "reading workshop" to hide her pregnancy and Olga was there for the same reason.?)
EVERYTHING ELSE
-Vero lets Consuelo know that her father Aurelio is going out with Isaura. Consuelo says he denied it when she asked him.
-Kassandra tries to research "Consuelo" on line and finds NOTHING. She is so "basic" that she has no social media presence. Whoever she is, Kassandra will get her out of the Miranda house even if she has to claw her out with her own hands.
-Diego tells Majo he is not sad now that he has broken up with Claudia. He feels happy. He has fallen in love with her.

How sad (but inevitable) that Eleazar had to resort to unsportsman like conduct to get Facundo's approval. It came at quite a price, disdain from his team and disapproval and rejection from Vale. Things weren't already tough enough for Vero but now Olga recognized her. Thank you for going into such detail as frankly, I understand nothing Olga says. 😄. It's painfully clear that there is nothing to be saved between Kassandra and Joaquin as nothing exists! As you noted earlier Jarifa, there is no chemistry and outside of her complaining about Vero, they have little to discuss. On the other end of the spectrum, Diego spoke from the heart and it is obvious he and Majo are very much in sync as much as they might need to hide it from the world for now. I miss the sweet younger girls and hope they get back in the story soon.

Barbi returns to Mansion #1 and Chava’s immediately all over her in her own bed, which is whoa-dude-tacky. If they don’t have an ethics component in bodyguard school, they definitely need one.
Franco tries to give Rex a lecture about not following your heart down the path to disaster, but she points out very logically that that’s EXACTLY what he’s doing and stalks off. Then she somehow ends up in Chava’s hot lap in the front seat of the car again. I want to tell them to at least go inside, but he’s got another girl in there, so.
Turns out Sofia has been anonymous-blogging her whole soft porn oeuvre – except now it’s not anonymous anymore, because Gonzalo somehow got hold of her tablet and outed her online. As Barbi would say (and probably did), neta, o sea, CRINGE.
Franco interrupts his stream of incomprehensible homespun cliches to observe that Cari seems a little jealous of Rulo’s new “boyfriend.” Rulo jumps on this and makes a big deal of opening a text message from Limon, which turns out to…well, let’s just say it belongs on Sofi’s blog. Candelaria and Aramis have a gunslinger-style verbal showdown in an alley in the ‘hood. They go back and forth about who treated whom the worst, but nothing much comes of it. He’s even poutier than usual, so he probably means it when he says he still loves her, but we’ve never seen him tell the truth, so how would we know?
No idea what Ines and Limon are doing in the costume shop, but Bulldog’s bear hat rocks.
Grecia “tearfully” “confesses” to Sof and Barbi that Marisol swore she’d steal her man and that Bolero left her when he found out she was pregnant. Sof seems doubtful but nevertheless supportive. For someone who runs a large company, she is awfully credulous. I can see why she’s constantly disappointed.
Best cliffhanger expression ever: Barbi tells Gonzo that Grecia is pregnant, and he gets a look like my cat when the vet takes his temperature.

The ultimate "so bad it's good" for me was EL TALISMAN. Completely off the rails from the start. The avocadoes! The peacocks! "Mi cheque"!!! I don't think this one even comes close...there's bizarre, and then there's ABSURD.
For telenovela cliches, though, I'd give the prize to ABISMO DE PASION. It's been a while since I've seen someone flung across the table in a bar fight, snatched up in her wedding gown and carried off on a horse, or...actually, that's the only time I've seen a picnic basket containing a poisonous snake, but I live in hope.

I loved how Vale told off Eleazar. And she was exactly right. As was Lorena when she told Facundo that Eleazar “seems to have inherited his sketchy morality”. It seems like Facundo would be teaching him to be a team player since he seems to know the sport. He’s teaching him, “every man for himself.
I couldn’t believe Olga recognized Vero from when they were 14. It’s becoming almost a daily thing for poor Vero to have to lie and hide stuff. I wish she’d just tell the truth. When Joaquin finds out it will not be good.
I feel bad for the real Consuelo. For whatever reason she seems to love Aurelio and he’s unaware of it. And now he’s choosing Isaura. I think he’s getting what he deserves with her.

FACUNDO'S WHEEL OF FORTUNE
Facundo goes to see Joaquín to celebrate their wins over Nolivos. Joaquín's not in the same celebratory mood. Facundo asks what could be more important than winning. Joaquín says racing as a team is. Eleazar didn't follow the team strategy. He had two chances to let Hugo pass and didn't. Facundo argues in his son's favor. Joaquín's message is either Eleazar learns how to be a team player or he will not be racing for them again. Joaquín goes back to his own story of being a starter and instilling the values of humility, patience and loyalty in the team. Being a starter isn't only about being the first to cross the finish line.That is what he wants his racers to understand. He asks Facundo to talk to his son, or find him another team.
Facundo finds his son alone in the shop. Ah, the loneliness of being a winner! Facundo surprisingly has no criticisms for Eleazar. He tells Eleazar how proud he is of him. His son is the champion. If others do not agree it is because of envy. This is the first win of many more to follow. They hug.
Facundo goes home and as he polishes his son's first place trophy, Mr. Sanabría, Mr. Nolivo's rep, pays him a visit. He informs him that Mr. Nolivos was not happy with his son's win. He reminds Facundo that he wasn't supposed to allow his son to win. Facundo says he had no arrangement about that race with Nolivos. Nobody gave him any instructions. Sanabría reminds him that he works for Mr. Nolivos who doesn't feel like he needs to repeat the rules so one to know when they are breaking them. Just as there are benefits or obeying, there are consequences for making a mistake. Facundo sees Eleazar arrive on his motorcycle. A group of goons get out of Mr. Santabría's car and beat Eleazar until he is unconscious and take his bike. Mr. Santabría smiles and calls Nolivos that the message was received. He leaves as Facundo rushes out into the street to check on his son.
Eleazar ends up in the hospital but the doctor says he will be fine since nothing was broken. He is discharged . Lorena wants to take him to her home to care for him. They leave it up to Eleazar who says he is going to his dad's since all of his belongings are there. Lorena goes along to care for him.
Claudia and Vale have been commiserating over their failed relationships with each other's brothers when Lorena calls to let them know about Eleazar. Vale says she wanted life to teach Eleazar a lesson but not like that.

iVAN GOES HOME WITH MAJO AND OLGA
Iván apologizes to Vero for Olga's insistence that she was somebody she isn't. Vero says no big deal. He tells her things are not great between them and even worse for Majo. Vero hopes that Majo and her mother maybe will get back together. She says when it comes down to it they are ALL family.
It becomes very clear that Olga wants Iván to give their relationship another try but he is not interested.
Polito pays them a visit. He clearly has an interest in Olga asking her if he can call her "dear". She says sure. Polito has news for them. The guys who kidnapped Iván and Romina were arrested. Due to Olga's testimony, INTERPOL has arrested Borja exactly where she said they cold find him in Amsterdam. He gets out his St. Jude card and says that St. Jude gave them a hand. They had faith and he answered them. Iván thinks that is perfect. Olga can get on with her life and return to Madrid. Polito cautions them that her return cannot happen yet. INTERPOL still thinks she could be guilty of complicity with Borjas so she cannot leave Mexico. Polito tells her not to worry. He intends to see her cleared of all charges with the help of St. Jude, of course. He kisses her hand. Iván smiles.
Iván, Majo and Olga move back to Joaquín's place.
DANI'S VERY BAD DAY IS FLORES' VERY GOOD DAY
Alexa come to play with Meli. While they are jumping around and dancing, Meli knocks Dani's abduction map off the wall and all of her thumbtacks and threads fall out as it is ripped in two. Dani is beyond upset with her sister and will not accept her apology. Vero tries to solve the situation and is unable to. When Dani throws Meli out of their room, she puts her asleep in Vale's bed. Joaquín comes by later and talks to Dani. He reminds her of the time, she insisted on trying her new skates in the house and broke her mother's vase. He and her father tried to glue it back together but it ended up a crooked mess. Her father was forgiving and so positive. Dani says that her father always said that he and Joaquín were a good team. Joaquín offers to help Dani work on a new map focusing on new stories she hears about since the old one cannot be recreated. He urges her to be easy on her sister. Accidents happen. Dani admits that the map gave he hope that someday she would find her parents. He hugs her as she cries.
Alexa comes home earlier than expected and her father Flores wants to know why. She tells him she was fed up having to be there and about Dani's map that got torn apart. It was all about mysterious disappearances. She adds that Meli's sister Dani thinks that their parents were abducted by aliens. Flores concludes that is probably how she is dealing with the death of her parents. He thinks that a family tragedy of that sort could move people and that is what sells!!!!! Alexa doesn't like Meli, her sister, their house or E.T's. She is only there for her K-Pop concert. He says all she has to do is listen and pay attention to anything that seems like a secret. She is not happy but he is.

CONSUELO ON A MISSON
Consuelo sees Aurelio and asks why he is all dressed up. He says he has an appointment about his pension. She thinks that it is odd that he would get all decked out to go there. He doesn't understand why he would have to dress like a bum to take care of business. He will see her later. She knows he is going to see that woman so she decides to follow him.
Aurelio leads Consuelo to a very nice restaurant where he is seated with Isaura. Consuelo sits at a table and hides her face with her menu. Isaura tells Aurelio that she has been divorced for a long time and that she sold her home in Las Lomas. She moved in with her daughter because the enormous house made her lonely. He can understand her point of view. He has been widowed only several months but life goes on even if you aren't in the same spot. She asks if he has thought about falling in love again. He answers by saying that the heart is never closed completely. Consuelo gets angrier and angrier as the conversation goes on. He cannot believe that Isaura never got remarried since she is so refined, good-looking and young. She answers that the right man hasn't arrived . . . yet. When the bill arrives, Aurelio looks surprised by the amount. He tells Isaura that he is so embarrassed but he left his wallet in another pair of pants. She tells him she will pay grabbing his hand and adding that it is her turn to treat him. He promises to pay her back. She says all he owes her is another date. She gives him her credit card to pay with and they toast with their coffee.
Consuelo watches Aurelio and Isaura saying good bye outside. Consuelo knows that Aurelio cannot be with that woman. It would mean that Vero was running even a bigger risk of being discovered. Aurelio refuses sharing a taxi with Isaura. He feels like walking. They have a goodbye handshake until Isaura gives him a quick kiss on teh lips. He leaves.
Consuelo decides to confront Isaura telling her that she is Aurelio's wife and demanding that she not destroy her marriage. Isaura says that Aurelio said he was widowed. Consuelo says he lied just like he lied to her. He told her that he was going to get some business done so she must have been the business. Isaura says nothing and leaves in her taxi.
LATE NIGHT ROMANCE IN THE KITCHEN
Joaquín comes into the kitchen and scares Vero. She offers him some coffee but he says he is sticking to his wine so he will be able to sleep. He admits it was an intense day. He gives her the good news about the race. She is happy for him. He deserves it. He mentions that he finally met her daughter. She is Hugo his starter's novia. They agree it is a small world after all. She thinks that Hugo must be a good kid since her daughter is so happy. Joaquín says Hugo has a good heart. He asks what her daughter's father thinks. She admits that she was very young when she got pregnant and when the father found out, she never heard from him again. He says she has no idea how he admires her supporting her daughter all by herself. She is a special woman. She makes a point of saying that everything she does, every step she takes is for her daughter. He adds that she also does the same for the rest of the children. She not only takes care of the house, she also takes care of their wounds, and their hearts. She listens to them and mothers them. She gives them what they really need: LOVE. He moves a hair off he face and they stare at each other and smile.

Jarifa, your recap was an exercise in excellence. Every word was riveting and reflective of all the action, some violent and some rather shocking.
Consuelo shadowing Aurelio was very entertaining, especially her facial expressions as she watched him with growing jealousy and outrage. I cant believe she lied to Isaura that she is his wife. What was she thinking? Polito being enamoured with Olga had me laughing, those multiple hand kisses were too much. I felt for Eleazar and wonder if Facundo will take revenge or just take it? Jarifa, your recap was an exercise in excellence. Every word was riveting and reflective of all the action, some violent and some rather shocking.
Consuelo shadowing Aurelio was very entertaining, especially her facial expressions as she watched him with growing jealousy and outrage. I cant believe she lied to Isaura that she is his wife. What was she thinking? Polito being enamoured with Olga had me laughing, those multiple hand kisses were too much. I felt for Eleazar and wonder if Facundo will take revenge or just take it? It looks like I just lost my comment as I was getting ready to hit comment. So I will say thanks Jarifa, for another outstanding recap. I was shocked that Facundo just stood at the window and watched the thugs beat up his son.

Joaquin needs to admit to himself he doesn’t love Cassandra and she’d be a lousy mother to the kids. I know he heard Facundo say “I love you too” on the phone with Vero but I’m sure Vero had already hung up and it was said to hurt Joaquin.

Well, we finally found out why we haven't found out anything about Vale's father. He deserted Vero as soon as he found out that she was pregnant. Poor Vero. She had no support as a pregnant teen , not from the father nor from her parents.

Another entertaining episode.
It seems that Facundo who, is used to being the king of the hill calling the shots, has effectively been put in his place with it being clear that Mario could just as easily kill him and his son as look at them. Will it be so much for Mario buying into Facundo's revenge on Joaquín for who knows what? I cannot wait to see where that plot goes and what Mario is expecting next from Facundo.
I agree with both of your, Diana and Liz, that Consuelo made a big mistake telling Isaura that she was Aurelio's wife.

* El Bulldog crashes the business lunch at the restaurant with a bouquet of flowers and a claim to be yet another one of Sofia's lovers. He even mentions the freckle on her left butt-cheek!
* El Mini-Wang, as Gonzalo calls him, tells Gina he's coming to the Medieval Banquet dressed as a Samurai. (Here's betting everyone will end up in Bulldog's costume shop at some point, as surely it's the only one in Mexico City.)
* Sofia's novel is mocked by a giant bird on daytime tv, who bemoans the cliche of naming the characters Franco ("honest") and Salvador ("savior.") Not only is that satisfyingly meta, but it tips us off that she didn't even change the names!
Lowlights:
* Playing Limon's cowgirl outfit for laughs. Yes, he's a bit of a sleazeball, but let's don't kick him when he's just trying to connect.
* Carlo is nasty to Monique, who for all her lack of charm is one of his students.
*Chava throws Carlo's bedroom problems in his face, which again shows a towering lack of class.

Last night's Episode was also odd . Barb and Rex now seem to be bffs. They went to Franco and Sofie's love nest \ .ranch on some caper. Rex had her toolbox and was doing something to the kitchen sink and then was doing something under a bed ??? Uh oh Sofia and Franco show up. The girls hide , but then they confront their daughters, and Sofia delivers a very, very long speech to the girls.
Nasty Monique visits Carlo in his bedroom and leaves a little surprise. This girl is a potstirrer.
Bolero is on a park bench holding one of those huge flower bouquets when Chava shows up and punches him. This is getting to be daily occurrence..
And in the final scene...guess who shows up. Here we go ...crazy identical twin stuff ahead . Susan
