Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.
By common agreement, this group DOES NOT DISCUSS previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!
Just came to say that I’m looking forward to Lejos again! I haven’t been watching Spanish tv, except for the occasional football game, so need to get back to it.
As an appetizer, there’s El Turco! I’m all for beefcake so this is great even I don’t entirely understand what’s happening. Turkey has very attractive people. :)

Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Here's my super-short recap of last night's episode:
*Aurelio & Co., took Ismael's ashes back to the Casillas family mansion.
*Dondi356: Whatever happened to Laura & Santita? Surprised neither Tata or Ulysses aren't mentioned either.
*Doctors from the hospital were blindfolded & taken to the Casillas family residence & working on Rutila.
*We see General Cifuentes putting Mauricio in his place at the hotel casino.
*Alfaro still in prison LOL.
*Hothead Diana goes off the rails as she sees Crazy Lucy alive & well.
I have been watching this with some difficulty. DH likes all the swashbuckling. I like the history from an era I know little about. The history is, of course, not completely accurate, but I find the clash of civilizations and religions fascinating. The actors are from all over, including Italy and Portugal (or maybe it’s Brazil, I can’t recall.). The way regular people lived in these overlord systems is interesting. We know from Magnificent Century that the Turks were stopped on their attempt to Ottomanize Europe at the Battle of Vienna. This seems to take place right after that. I think the town at the center of the action is in what is now northern Italy.
It appears to be only five episodes long. However, Telemundo has released them very haphazardly. I don’t usually watch as they are broadcast but prefer to see them at my convenience. I have yet to find #2, but #s 1 and 3 were there. Last night #4 was shown. Still can’t find #2.
But, Sunday morning 7-11 Central time, Telemundo is showing #1-4, including #2! Apparently Monday evening is the finale.
BethS mentioned this seemed hurried and felt like things were cut. I have the same feeling, but maybe all will be clear after seeing all five. It’s still an exciting story!
Anyway, this is just my reaction and a heads-up about Sunday morning!
Babachita
*The Computers Hackers start high-tailing out of their secret hideout or whatever they were hiding at, once the law enforcement officers begin finding out who's hacking Primero Banco.
*Nice to see Castillo & Dahlila back on the show.
*Aurelio & Nina getting their freak on at the Casillas family residence.
*Rutila still recovering from her gunshot wounds.
*General Cifuentes & Co., upping the ante against Los Casillas.
*Alfaro supposedly getting released from prison I think.
Babachita, thanks for the info about Sunday. This show is mostly swashbuckling, so your husband must be having a grand time!
I like historical novelas and wish this had more of that. I get tired of the near constant gory, bloody battles.
It's been great seeing Yan, he must have a serious workout regimen!
