Notes from the Couch
1. Back in Consuelo's kitchen, Nayeli promises her mother she will follow the doctor's instructions and take care of her baby for what it is, her treasure. As for Hugo, Nayeli says he was a bit put out because she hadn't told him about the baby but he wants to be around and help her. Nayeli doesn't want Hugo around only because of the baby but would like for him to be there because he truly loves her and sees her as his girl and not only the mother of his child. Consuelo hopes he sees her as she does: a good, brave girl with an enormous heart. If it doesn't work out, she always has her and her whole family. Nayeli doesn't know what she would do without her. Consuelo will never let her or her little grand child go.
2. Hugo sits on his motorcycle overlooking the city so very pleased that he is going to be a father. He gets up and screams in joy that he is going to be a father!
3. In tears, Iván explains to Majo why he is leaving. She thought that it was over. He says no. The more time and space he gave to the situation, he only kept falling in love more and more as if what he ever felt for anyone was concentrated in what he felt for her. Yes, she loves him but decided to stay with her husband and her life. He refuses to be an obstacle to her happiness. Majo thinks that brave men who are really in love would do exactly what he is doing in letting her go. He says she has no idea how he needed to hear that. She answers reminding him that is what daughters are there for: letting their fathers know that even though their world might be crashing down around them, they are not alone. He tells her she is the reason for him to stay and also the strength that he needs to go. She asks him to promise her not to use the trip to flee but to heal and that when he comes back, he brings her that happy father back that she knows.
4. Joaquín brings Vero home. They talk about how she did all she could so he wouldn't find out where she lived due to the fact that she had to protect her identity. He explains that now he is in love with both Vero and Consuelo. Consuelo is noble, strong with an immense heart who takes care of everyone without asking for anything. Vero is brave, passionate woman, the mother who never gave up and continued fighting for her daughter against all odds. She was so afraid at that time that he would find out the truth about her and stop loving her. He explains that seeing who she really is only made him love her more. He tells her about his conversation with Meli and how she wanted them to get married and adopt all of them. She says if it were only possible . . . even to be Vale's mother. He reminds her she already is Vale's mother. He says when the time comes, Vale will listen to her, understand her, and forgive her. He doesn't love her in spite of what she has been through, but because of what she has been through. They kiss.

5. Aurelio shows up at Consuelo's. He couldn't sleep and wants to know if they could talk for a bit. She thinks it is better for him to go. Her kids are sleeping. . . He confesses that he doesn't know what to do because he loves her more every day. He kisses her and she pulls away and slaps him. She will not betray her sister because if he were to do that again, she would not be able to stop herself. She shows him to the door. He tells her he cannot stop loving her and leaves. Consuelo cries.
6. Joaquín and Vero end up in bed.
7. The next day, the kids start taking videos of Joaquín and Vero sneaking kisses and hugs around the house.
***THREE MONTHS LATER***
8. It is one of those family meals again but this time it is breakfasts! The usual guests are there plus Hugo. Aurelio is annoying Consuelo taking one final tamal, a sweet one to go along with his atole( hot drink made with Mexican corn meal and flavorings), after already having eaten four already. He wants to know if she is the tamal police or what?? She reminds him they are not good for him in the first place. He tells her that she is the reason his blood pressure rises when he looks into those cute eyes she has. She demures and smiles.
9. Hugo is very solicitous of Nayeli at the table. She smiles and asks if he is going to fan her next. She makes the point that she isn't made out of glass but is high quality ceramic, tough. He, smiling, answers that he knows but but since she is carrying the future moto cross world champion, they cannot risk anything. She says he always knows how to soften her up. He gets serious saying that he still hasn't convinced her to come back to him. She answers that he hasn't yet but advises him not to put the brakes on because there is a chance he is going to win the race. He laughs but she gets serious asking him to promise her that they will never end up like them. She points out Mario and Romina sitting apart and looking miserable.

10. Nico offers to help Vero clear the table to talk to her. He doesn't feel it is fair that Lorena and Claudia cannot come to these meals since she cannot put her secret at risk. They are family. How long is it gong to go on? She says he is right. He also had to win his daughter back but her road is very different. He says the truth will not be supported by a lie. The time has come for her to tell her daughter the truth. It is not good that she is pretending to be another person. Of course, Aurelio has been listening in and demands to know what was meant about her "pretending to be another person" to be near her daughter.
11. Majo tells her mother that she talked to her father and that he is doing well but doesn't know when he is coming back. Majo notices that Olga is looking good, is nervous, and is buying new clothes. She asks her who the guy is making her feel this way. Olga insists she isn't going out with anyone. Majo refuses to believe her.
12. Vero goes into her own house where nosy Aurelio follows her telling her what she is doing is madness. He is upset that Romina has been covering for her, too, and we are back to the same argument with Vero telling him that he tore her daughter from her arms (UH, Why doesn't Vero simply say it is none of his business because it isn't) and deprived her of being a mother. He made that decision. He insists that if the girl knew, she would run away. Vero disagrees. Her daughter will know that her mother never stopped loving her. A frustrated Aurelio tells her that she doesn't get it and leaves in a huff.
13. Vero tells Romina that their father will never change. Romina advises her to stop listening to what he says already (She is right on that one.) She needs to continue on her path because what she is doing sheis doing out of love.
14. Mario is sad and drinking at his desk thinking that Vero is dead. If only she were alive, he would give everything up for her. He cries and repeats "everything."
15. Marcos tells Romina he is surprised that Vero has a child. Why didn't she tell him? Romina answers because it is Vero's business. He tries to pull the "he is her husband" card. She squashes that asking him if he tells her everything. She asks him not to tell anyone and especially not mention anything at work because Vero's daughter is Vale Miranda. She refuses to tell him any more. He insists that she can trust him to keep the secret. That is important to her since they are working to save their marriage.

16. Joaquín is all amorous in the kitchen thinking that he and Vero that are free from the kids. Vero reminds him the kids are on vacation. He says that Meli is keeping their secret and none of the others seem the wiser. She tells him that the family breakfast didn't go very well. It was the same old argument with her father who doesn't want her reunited with her daughter. He tells her that love doesn't need permission. Vale doesn't know it but she has a mother looking out for her every day. He assures that when the time comes, nobody will separate them.
17. Kassandra thinks back on Joaquín and Vero and is in tears. Isaura appears and reminds her it is a great day. Her wedding day! Tonight she will be Mario's wife and they will have a life full of luxuries, champagne and an unlimited checking account. Kassandra wonders if Joaquín will come. Isaura invited him so he could see what he is losing. She hopes he doesn't have the bad taste to bring that Consuelo. Kassandra hopes so, so she can humiliate her in front of everyone. This is the start of her revenge!
18. Vero brings Vale her racing suit that she repaired. She expresses her worry for her on the track. Vale says she has the best trainer in Joaquín. That makes Vero feel better. Vale adds that she has the help of all of the other racers, too, Eleazar. Vero is so happy for her looking more in love each day. Vale has to mention that Vero is smiling a lot more lately. Is there somebody special in her life? Vero manages to change the subject.
19. Vale cannot find her cellphone. She asks Vero to call her. They hear nothing so Vero leaves her phone and goes to check downstairs. Vale finds her phone under a pillow but Vero's phone is ringing. It is "Papá."
20. Kassandra tells Isaura that she recognizes that Mario is the perfect man that any woman would want but he is not Joaquín. Isaura thinks that is silly and asks if she would be able to leave the money, position, security, everything for Joaquín. Kassandra says she would. Nothing is worth it without him. Kassandra says she won't be happy and will make sure Joaquín isn't either. He will lose everything: his company, his reputation, those damn orphans and that stupid Consuelo. She won't rest until he has nothing or nobody.

21. Olga meets Marcos at a park. He says he thought they were not going to see each other. She knows but both of them are there. He is not happy they are so near work. It is dangerous. She knows. He wants to know what this is about. She says she knows he is trying to repair his marriage but no matter how hard she tries, she cannot stop thinking about him. She knows he probably doesn't feel the same and he kisses her.
22.Majo is taking a walk and sees them.
23. Vale answers Vero's phone. (REALLY?) Aurelio says "Daughter". Vero rushes into the room and snatches her phone back. She asks why he called. He asks if that was her daughter. She says no and that she is working and cannot talk. He tells her to tell him where she is and not dare to hang up on him.Vero hangs up on him. (YES!)
24. Vale notices she doesn't get along well with her dad. Vero says her father has always gotten involved in her life and has hurt her a great deal.
25. Hernán is working with security in a control room loaded with monitors as they try to find out who is stealing things. Kassandra has ordered this operation. Romina is there to remind them that Kassandra doesn't want anyone to know that they have cameras in the halls. If something turns up, Kassandra has to be the first to know.
26. Hernán sees Majo working at her desk via a monitor and smiles.
27. Vale asks Vero if she loves her father. Vero says of course she does but he has a difficult personality. He sometimes won't listen to anyone to get his own way. Vale says he sounds a little like Vero. Vero smiles and says a very little. Vale asks about her mother. Vero tells her she is dead. Vale knows what that is like. Vero says she thinks the love between a mother and a daughter can never be broken by time or distance although they are not together. Vale says that is not always as in the case of her birth who does not deserve to be remembered. Her only mother was Susana and she was the best mother in the whole world. She will hate her birth mother until the day she dies.

He tries to console her saying it will all be different when she can tell Vale her story herself. He will be there to support her. She thanks him for being her refuge. He sees her as his truth. They hug.
29. Majo confronts her mother about Marcos. She saw them kissing each other as if she were fifteen again. Olga denies it as first but then says that it is stronger than her and Marcos. They cannot control themselves. Majo asks if she can hear herself. Olga admits that she simply couldn't resist. Majo asks of all the men in the world, why did she settle on the husband of a friend? Olga thinks Majo should understand because she fell in love with Diego and Carmen was her friend.
30. Vale is waiting for Joaquín to take her to practice. Diego says he is in his office with Vero. They start to laugh. Meli and Dani join them. Dani has made a video of all of the photos they took of Joaquín and Vero. Dani goes to send it to their chat accounts when she accidentally also sends it to Joaquín.
31. Joaquín and Vero watch the video and have a good laugh. Joaquín proclaims that they have been found out.
32. Joaquín comes out asking about the kids about spying on them. Diego answers that they had their suspicions. . . Vale says it was OBVIOUS. Dani says it was sent by mistake. Joaquín admits their mistake was trying to hide it. Vale is pleased to see them happy and so in love. Meli announces they cannot hide and they all have a group hug. Carmen comes in looking for Vero. The kids tell her that Vero and Joaquín are novios. She looks more than surprised. Joaquín smiles and shrugs.

Jarifa, your extraordinary level of detail brings such vividness and light, illuminating so much that would have been otherwise missed.

I am on the edge of my seat waiting for their inevitable meeting. Could anything possibly make Kassandra even more miserable than losing Joaquin to Vero??? The revelation her soon to be husband was also madly in love with Vero might do the trick!
I like that Hugo is happy about becoming a father and is working to show Nayeli he is worthy.
"She asks him to promise her not to use the trip to flee but to heal and that when he comes back, he brings her that happy father back that she knows". Majo is wise beyond her years. Kind enough to comfort and support her mewling father yet strong enough to confront Olga asking of "all the men in the world, why did she settle on the husband of a friend?" Indeed, she seems to be the parent, they, the child. BTW, how immature (and nasty) of Olga to draw any comparison between Majo and Claudia's situation to that of her and Romina. Grow up.
Romina and Marcos did look miserable though, didn't they?
Of all times for the usually crafty and clever writers to let viewerville down, did they really need to choose Vero and Joaquin's first night together?? A few perfunctory kisses (with ONE candle) do not a romance make. I expected fireworks, not one lone sparkler.
Even if Aurelio were a good man, I still say getting together with your deceased sister's hubby is not a good idea. It's clear where this is going but I don't have to like it and I don't. ☹
Vero "doesn't know how much longer her lie can go on". We don't know either and are totally flummoxed.
So, boda or no boda?? We won't have long to wait...

I like that Hugo is happy about becoming a father and is working to show Nayeli he is worthy.
"She asks him to promise her not to use the trip to flee but to heal and that when he comes back, he brings her that happy father back that she knows". Majo is wise beyond her years. Kind enough to comfort and support her mewling father yet strong enough to confront Olga asking of "all the men in the world, why did she settle on the husband of a friend?" Indeed, she seems to be the parent, they, the child. BTW, how immature (and nasty) of Olga to draw any comparison between Majo and Claudia's situation to that of her and Romina. Grow up.
Romina and Marcos did look miserable though, didn't they?
Of all times for the usually crafty and clever writers to let viewerville down, did they really need to choose Vero and Joaquin's first night together?? A few perfunctory kisses (with ONE candle) do not a romance make. I expected fireworks, not one lone sparkler.
Even if Aurelio were a good man, I still say getting together with your deceased sister's hubby is not a good idea. It's clear where this is going but I don't have to like it and I don't. ☹
Vero "doesn't know how much longer her lie can go on". We don't know either and are totally flummoxed.
So, boda or no boda?? We won't have long to wait...

Susan, I watched the first episode. It looks like it has possibilities but the male leads are not my favorites so I will not be continuing. I loved the start with the rattle snake attack. That was slick. I knew the Emmanuel Palomares character “Juan” had to be alive because why else would he be one of the headliners? It was good to see Paty Navidad. I haven’t seen her in ages.

Thanks so much, Jarifa, for the excellent recap last night, and also Sunday’s recap, which I was very late in reading.
It looks like Marcus and Olga are going to be a couple. I actually liked him more than I like Ivan. But somehow kissing another woman does not win points with me. I didn’t like Ivan because he was a slacker, and liked him even less when he kept going after Romina when he knew she was married. Now Olga is doing the same thing. I’m hoping Romina refuses both of them but it seems these telenovelas always pair their characters up.
I’m glad Hugo is so excited about the baby. I’m sure he and Nayeli will be together in the end.
I was surprised Mario would give it all up if only he had Vero. I wonder how he’ll react when he finds out Vero is alive but with Joaquin! It could love her so much he’ll just be happy she’s alive and happy or it could go worse for Vero and Joaquin. I do feel like when Kassandra’s attempt to embarrass Consuelo, as she has promised to do, Mario will not be pleased with Kassandra!

I fell asleep on the couch shortly into this. I never saw a snake! But woke up to two cars trying to push the mother and father off the road. Then a guy named Facundo blew the car up! What are the odds.
I had seen the actress playing the mother before, I don’t remember what show, but I liked her. I’m not sure if I’ll watch it or not.

Vero has been my favorite, but now I am just ticked with her for remaining mum and having the same old argument with her pop. I liked Padre Nico scolding her because he wasn't able to bring his own daughter and girlfriend to the family breakfast because of her secret.

Notes from the Couch
1. Majo makes it clear to her mother that when she started to go out with Diego, he had already broken up with Claudia. Romina and Marcos are MARRIED. Olga says she knows but passion is like a wave that drags you and leaves you without direction, without a compass, without anything. Majo thinks that is very poetic but also unjust when her father had to leave because . . . Olga doesn't want to talk about her father. Olga says that Marcos feels terrible, very bad and guilty Majo say guilt does nothing. They cannot keep lying to each other or Romina. Majo tells her mother she either has to break up with Marcos or tell Romina the truth.
2. Vale and Eleazar race.
3. Olga goes to talk to Marcos in his office. He is not happy because he asked her not to come looking for him at the shop. She tells him that Majo knows about them. She saw them in the park kissing. He is out of his mind. If Romina finds out, he will kill himself. She assures him that Majo would never tell Romina. Olga has to admit that Majo did have a point. They cannot do this to Romina and especially right under her nose. Marcos tells Olga he has to go and tell Romina the truth. Olga is impressed that he is going to do this for her. Her smile quickly disappears when he tells her not to get the wrong idea. He wants to repair his marriage. He shows her the door and tells her to leave because it is over.
4. We see the thief in the office but only from the knees down. They are wearing rather new looking jeans and nice clean tennis shoes. The person is clearly an employee and is wearing a white shirt, a navy hoodie and a lanyard. It looks like a male. This person goes into the employee lounge looking preoccupied with his phone and also is carrying a company folder. He sees a wallet on the table. He places the folder over it and lifts them both up together as he leaves then sliding the wallet into his back pocket.
5. Mario is reminding Joaquín that his wedding is tonight and he hopes he can count on him being there. Joaquín assures him that he will be there to celebrate with them. His god daughter Vale, who will be 18 in a couple of weeks, has been training really hard and her times rival Hugo's and Eleazar's. Mario has been following her and agrees she is very talented but Mario but isn't time for them to take a risk with a rookie. Joaquín tells him not to underestimate her. Mario says he isn't. It is only a matter of strategy. If she fails to take a curve, they will be losing more than a race. He insists that for now they will be sticking with Hugo and Eleazar. Vale will wait her turn. Joaquín wants to keep the argument going saying they run the same risk with any of their racers. Mario chuckles and says they will talk about it later. After Mario leaves, Joaquín looks at Vale's photo telling it her time is coming soon.
7. Vale thanks Eleazar for being a good racer and challenging her all the way. He is happy. She soon will be even with him and will show him in their next race. They horse around and kiss.

11. Aurelio is having a good time eating supper at Consuelo's. She is happy. She invited him over to eat because she didn't want to eat alone. She thanks him for coming. He hopes they are happy at the wedding. She says all weddings are happy. Being the wet rag he is, he has to say that his wedding was not the happiest day of his life. Consuelo's smile is gone. She remembers it as if it were yesterday: Beatriz so radiant in her white dress. She looked like an angel and made her cry because she saw her sister with him. She apologizes. He says no need. If she was crying, he was, too, on the inside.

Vero says yes, and congratulates both of them.
13. Nico has stayed behind in the church. Lorena goes to get him. She asks if he misses all of this. He doesn't know. She says it isn't a bad thing to admit it. He was very happy serving God. He was but he is very happy with her, too. Claudia comes to get them and they all leave for the reception as he says his place is with them but wistfully looks back at the altar.
14. Olga approaches Mario at the reception only to talk to him a bit. He doesn't want to and no he hasn't told Romina. He tells her all she needs to know is that it is over between them FOREVER.
15. Consuelo asks Aurelio not to say that. He has to say it because it is true. He cared for Beatriz until her dying breath but there are loves you don't chose. He kisses her hand. His love is more alive for her than ever. He didn't t tell her so as not to disrespect Beatriz. Still not having learned his lesson, he goes to kiss Consuelo. She reminds him that he promised that this wasn't going to happen again. They cannot do this. He says she is right they "shouldn't." They both laugh. He tells her that if life were fair, she would have been the one who left the church with him.
16. Romina notices that Marcos is in a serious mood and wants to know what is going on. He says it is all in her head. She disagrees. He admits that he isn't doing well but this is not the time or the place to talk about it. She is upset because before they told each other everything and now they tip toe around each other. She grabs his hand and says during the ceremony she was remembering their wedding and how in love they were and the promises they made each other She knows she made the right decision. She wants to fight for their marriage. Still as serious as ever, he nods.
17. Claudia catches her favorite ex at the wedding to have a chat with. He is still her Diego Baby and looking very handsome. He tells her she looks very beautiful as always. Majo is watching them looking aggravated. Claudia says she is in fact doing really well. She points out her parents sitting together. She never thought she would see them like that together. She always dreamed of having a complete family and now she does. He tells her that she deserves it. After all that happened, she deserves all the happiness in the world. She is so excited having her father close by and hearing him call her daughter. She still cannot believe it. They hug. He notices Majo's gaze and looks uncomfortable.( as he should)

She grabs his hand and says during the ceremony she was remembering their wedding and how in love they were and the promises they made each other She knows she made the right decision. She wants to fight for their marriage. Still as serious as ever, he nods.
17. Claudia catches her favorite ex at the wedding to have a chat with. He is still her Diego Baby and looking very handsome. He tells her she looks very beautiful as always. Majo is watching them looking aggravated. Claudia says she is in fact doing really well. She points out her parents sitting together. She never thought she would see them like that together. She always dreamed of having a complete family and now she does. He tells her that she deserves it. After all that happened, she deserves all the happiness in the world. She is so excited having her father close by and hearing him call her daughter. She still cannot believe it. They hug. He notices Majo's gaze and looks uncomfortable.( as he should)

Their parents hid her and only Consuelo knew, nobody else. NO, Vero will not tell him the truth. Romina accuses her of being just like their father hiding things. Also, he is Vale's father and has every right to know the truth. Vero refuses because she will not take the risk of losing Vale forever. Vale cannot know about him without knowing who she is first. The sisters hug.

For example, Joaquín Navarro, her great friend and co-worker of so many years who has come tonight accompanied by a marvelous woman, the adorable Consuelo. Hers is a beautiful story. It is a lovely example of how love can emerge from the most unexpected circumstances and places including between a boss and his domestic help. Everyone is uncomfortable including Mario. Joaquín faces the insult head on by telling her she is completely correct. Love cares not about classes or jobs. He deeply loves this great woman. He kisses Vero on the forehead. Kassandra keeps going saying for that reason, she is toasting to love without hierarchies!

Hurt "Consuelo" She wants him to know if he goes out with a woman like Consuelo, he better get used to comments like that and more. In their circles, it isn't looked well upon that a man like him would go out with a woman like her. He tells her not to worry. He is not going to give in to prejudice but will continue admiring the woman he loves. He tells her to enjoy her party, hands her his untouched glass and leaves.
29. Vale has left Eleazar alone at the table and handsy Rebeca stops by to catch up and put the moves on him. She likes Kassandra a lot but the important thing is that her dad likes her. She asks how he is doing as she plays with his lapel. He says he is doing fine and is focusing on his career. Vale has been a great support. She thinks Vale must be super strong and very much in love with him. She is surprised that the fact that his father killed Vale's parents, didn't break them up. He says their love is as strong as ever. She hopes it continues because there are things that you cannot erase and that end up influencing your entire life.

"He tells him that the wedding was a serious mistake". The vows barely uttered as regret already permeates the air as the overly confident bride, set on demeaning Vero as she "elevates" herself, unaware her marriage is already over before it began. The object of her derision has ascended into her husband's mind and heart, vanquishing any and all feelings for Kassandra. Poetic justice.

What an unexpected blow out of the blue for Vero. Now there is another deep hidden secret ready to bubble to the surface. Will she reveal the truth? "Vero refuses because she will not take the risk of losing Vale forever. Vale cannot know about him without knowing who she is first". Vero's stubborn (and unfathomable) continuing refusal to tell Vale who she is will make this second revelation even more painful for her daughter.
"Vale tells Mario she has no idea why her father said she was dead". Of course she does. Aurelio is cruel, has a heart of stone and doesn't deserve the wonderful children he has.
Marcos seems to rue not keeping his lips to himself. A little late, isn't it? A petulant Olga is not taking his rejection well. Romina continues to look miserable although to her credit, she is making every effort to revive her (already DOA) marriage.
"Claudia catches her favorite ex at the wedding to have a chat with. He is still her Diego Baby and looking very handsome". Give Claudia credit, she knows exactly what to say and do to get under Majo's skin. I had to laugh at Diego who was so obviously caught between a rock and a hard place.
I do like Vale and Eleazar's growing closer; their love true and steadfast.
Jarifa, I have no tolerance for Aurelio and agree with the rest of the annoying characters you noted. Loved "handsy Rebeca" which was perfect. So many bad vibrations emanating from a wedding for heaven's sake which SHOULD have been joyous with happiness abounding.

Blue Lass !!!! What a surprise to see your recap. I only saw the first episode. Your recap amazingly covered it all !!!! I love the nicknames,. I only like the ONE brother ...the lead ...I guess he is Hothead . The guy has been in some many shows lately . I thought it would be fun watching the two Peniches playing father and son...nope...that lasted for ONE episode . Likewise, the familiar actress playing the doting, scolding mother and devoted wife lasted one episode . Giddyup Get along little doggie . Blazing saddles await.

Joaquin has been a saint in forgiving Vero for her many lies. But I wonder how he’ll feel when he finds out about Mario. That would be hard to take, although Mario has seemed to convince everyone he’s a good guy. Maybe he’ll try to become one but Kassandra has a lot on him. And there’s no way she’ll regret anything. It didn’t phase her when Joaquin defended his love for a domestic worker. I was hoping Vero would use her reporter skills to uncover the bad guys, but no one suspects Mario. I do wonder if his detective will find out the whole truth about Vero.

1. Vale arrives on the scene with Vero and Mario. She asks Vero if something is wrong. Vale says no she is only getting some air as is the bridegroom. Mario says it was a pleasure talking with Vale and leaves. Vero thinks that Vale should be thanking her for saving her from that boring guy. She just can't take him. Joaquín appears and they decide to find Eleazar and Diego all go out to eat supper.
2. Joaquín apologizes for what Kassandra put her through. Vero doesn't think it is all that important. Joaquín says that is exactly what impresses him about her. She is brave, straightforward, authentic. He lists all of the wonderful things that Vero is to different people but for him, she is the woman he loves. They kiss.
3. It is the morning after the wedding and Mario is pensive drinking a cup of coffee. He thinks back on his encounter with Vero when Kassandra appears. She is all excited to leave on their honeymoon. They have fifteen minutes to get ready to leave. She is so excited while he looks uninspired but manages a weak smile before he tells her that he has been thinking and they will have to postpone their honeymoon.
4. One of the security staff who has been monitoring the halls and offices, tells Romina that there has been another theft. A crystal decoration disappeared from the south wing. He says what was odd was that the security camera wasn't working a few minutes just before but afterwards, it was running as normal. Romina agrees that was not an accident. The security official says that the thief knows exactly what they are doing by disconnecting the monitoring equipment. He suspects it must be an employee. Romina joins him reviewing the cameras.
5. Vero, who was unable to sleep, tells Consuelo that just when she thought things were calming down. fate is messing with her life again. She tells Consuelo that after 18 years, she ran into Mario. Consuelo is confused as to who he is. Vero informs her he is Vale's father and is dangerously close being the man who married Kassandra.

He cannot be away right now. That does not go over well with Kassandra. He matter of factly lets her know there will be no trip neither this week or the next. He is sorry. She does not give up trying to convince him. He turns on her and tells her not to insist. There are things that are more important than a photo by the sea. Her frustration shows arguing that he cannot have married her only last night but stand her up today as if she were one more thing on his schedule. He turns nasty and answers that he can and that is what he is doing because he decides what is on his schedule. She answers that last night she was the love of his life but today he is treating her as if she doesn't matter. Mario starts to lose his temper and tells her that if she isn't clear about it, he is asking that she never forget who makes the decisions in this house. She tells him not to talk to her that way. He declares that she managed to ruin his morning. He will get breakfast out. He leaves. She throws a tantrum with an unlucky vase.

She thinks that could be a mistake if he is interested in saving his marriage. Then here is her job. Romina could show up with a shotgun. He understands what she is talking about. and he couldn't tell Romina. He simply couldn't. He thinks it is probably best to leave things as they are. She assures him that Majo will not say a thing. She gets closer to him and adds that the fire and passion between them will become a memory.He agrees. He tells her to calm down and strokes her face. He makes it clear he wants to try to fix things with Romina. She has moved very close to him. She wonders if they should have a goodbye kiss. He says no but she is suddenly kissing him and he is kissing her back.

An angry Vero says she is sick of him making decisions for her without even consulting her. He explains it was to protect her. He didn't want that miserable man ruining her life again Vero thinks that the only reason he did it was that he doesn't want to lose control over her life being as arrogant as he is. He has always thought he knew what was best for her and Romina and he doesn't have the slightest idea. Aurelio tries to save himself by throwing Consuelo under the bus by saying she agreed with him. Consuelo admits that she did know and thought ti was a good idea so that man wouldn't complicate her life again. She apologizes to Vero . Aurelio tells her to save her breath and leaves.

15. Joaquin runs into Nuria on his way to work. He is surprised to see her back. She doens't miss the chance to give him a big hug. He asks how it went. She answers that it was a wonderful time of if introspection on the mountain among quartz, silence and sacred songs. She is back recharged and vibrating at a high frequency. He sees her happy and "illuminated." She feels the energy of rose quartz when the two of them are together. He has to go to work but says they can cartch up later. She likes that saying it is always nice to be noticed when you come back.

She asks if he is doing that cheating on her with Olga. He says he made a mistake. He was confused. Olga was after him. What Romina saw was a goodbye. Romina says WOW! That was some goodbye but ti doesn't matter because the one saying goodbye is her now. There is no love left. He dan do hat he wants with Olga because what they had is OVER. She leaves.
20. Vale asks Eleazar if he thinks that her godfather will allow her to compete in the next race. He says she is putting in super amount of effort and is no longer a minor, so he doesn't see a problem. She asks if he thinks she is ready, will he lend her a hand? He says of course.

She thinks it will be wonderful having a woman racer. Vale says the next race could be her first professional race if she can show her godfather that she is ready. Rebeca crosses her fingers. She makes it clear she is not longer interested in Eleazar and misses Vale a lot and wants to know if they can be friends again.Vale misses her, too. They hug but Rebeca isn't smiling.
22. Mario calls Olga to give her a warning that Romina found out about them just as Romina is entering the reception area. Romina asks her if she is talking to Marcos. Olga wants to explain. It is all a misunderstanding. Romina thinks not and slaps her across the face. She is not her friend but a hypocrite.
23. Vale and Rebeca have coffee. Rebeca believes that her godfather brought a domestic worker to the wedding. Vale defends Consuelo saying she isn't just some domestic worker but she is a wonderful woman. If her godfather is in love, who are they to criticize him? Rebeca agrees. Vale says that her siblings are happy about it but her aunt Nuria won't be. Vale says she is off on of her "energetic" retreats. She hopes she never comes back. 25. Meli greets Aunt Nuria exuberantly. Nuria tells her that her aura is radiant. Meli doesn't quite get that so Nuria explains. Nuria wants to know how things have been going since she was gone. How is Joaquín doing? Meli has news for her. He and Consuelo are novios. Nuria has her clarify that and doesn't look pleased.
26. Kassandra brings Joaquín some papers to sign. He is surprised she isn't on her honeymoon. She says that Mario and she thought with the race coming up, with their united team, it would be better not to go right now. She apologizes if what she said last night made Consuelo uncomfortable. He says no problem. he hopes that with time she will be able to feel really happy for him as he does for her. He adds that the kids are happy with his relationship, too. She knows that is important for him. He wanted to get a read on them before taking the next step. She asks next step??? He answers that the next celebration might be his and Consuelo's wedding. She puts on a fake smile.
27. Romina comes to see Vero to tell her and Consuelo that Marcos has been cheating on her with Olga.
28. Sanabria has brought his research to Mario. Vero is indeed a journalist who is on her way up. He points out her investigative pieces and her prize for an article on old age. Mario says that is the woman he members. She was ambitious and an idealist. Sanabria say she worked for the digital magazine Capital Circuit. Flores was the head of it. Mario knows that he collaborated with Facundo on that article about Luis Miranda. Sanabria suggests that Vero infiltrated the Miranda house as a domestic worker on orders of Flores for the article. Mario says that Flores is dead and the magazine is gone, so why is Vero still at the house? Sanabria is sure it has to be persona. Maybe having fallen in love with Navarro she feels she would lose him if she gave up her identity. Mario is sure it is something else that is tying her to that false identity. He tells Sanabria to keep insvestigating. He wants to know exactly what is gong on.
29. Romina tells Vero that they say that bad things do not come alone. Vero runs into the father of her daughter and she discovers that her husband is cheating. Vero cannot see Marcos with Olga. Romina doesn't want to think about it. Vero says that she has known Olga for a long time. She was her companion at a summer course when they were 13 or 14. 25. Meli greets Aunt Nuria exuberantly. Nuria tells her that her aura is radiant. Meli doesn't quite get that so Nuria explains. Nuria wants to know how things have been going since she was gone. How is Joaquín doing? Meli has news for her. He and Consuelo are novios. Nuria has her clarify that and doesn't look pleased.
26. Kassandra brings Joaquín some papers to sign. He is surprised she isn't on her honeymoon. She says that Mario and she thought with the race coming up, with their united team, it would be better not to go right now. She apologizes if what she said last night made Consuelo uncomfortable. He says no problem. he hopes that with time she will be able to feel really happy for him as he does for her. He adds that the kids are happy with his relationship, too. She knows that is important for him. He wanted to get a read on them before taking the next step. She asks next step??? He answers that the next celebration might be his and Consuelo's wedding. She puts on a fake smile.
27. Romina comes to see Vero to tell her and Consuelo that Marcos has been cheating on her with Olga.
28. Sanabria has brought his research to Mario. Vero is indeed a journalist who is on her way up. He points out her investigative pieces and her prize for an article on old age. Mario says that is the woman he members. She was ambitious and an idealist. Sanabria say she worked for the digital magazine Capital Circuit. Flores was the head of it. Mario knows that he collaborated with Facundo on that article about Luis Miranda. Sanabria suggests that Vero infiltrated the Miranda house as a domestic worker on orders of Flores for the article. Mario says that Flores is dead and the magazine is gone, so why is Vero still at the house? Sanabria is sure it has to be persona. Maybe having fallen in love with Navarro she feels she would lose him if she gave up her identity. Mario is sure it is something else that is tying her to that false identity. He tells Sanabria to keep insvestigating. He wants to know exactly what is gong on.
29. Romina tells Vero that they say that bad things do not come alone. Vero runs into the father of her daughter and she discovers that her husband is cheating. Vero cannot see Marcos with Olga. Romina doesn't want to think about it. Vero says that she has known Olga for a long time. She was her companion at a summer course when they were 13 or 14. She promises to be careful.Vale is eager to get back on the track to improve her time so she can race. They decide to bet on their next run. If she wins, he owes her a supper at the restaurant of her choice. If he wins, she says he can ask for anything he wants. He smiles and asks really?? She sees where his intentions are going. He adds only when she feels ready. She is ready . . . to win. They kiss.

33. Dani and Bruno explain that he is a messenger a the company. Nuria wants to know what he is doing in her house with his tongue two centimeters away from her niece. He explains that he was delivering an envelope, it was late and Dani made him a sandwich. He says he can ask Consuelo about him. They live in the same neighborhood. Nuria says this is no place for him and tells him to go now. He leaves saying goodbye to his princess.

It isn't right for a "Miranda" to be mixing it up withs somebody from the barrio. Nothing good can come of it. She blames Joaquín for giving a bad example being with a domestic worker. Mario, senses sharpened by the startling reappearance of his true love, vows to find out Vero's true past. Kassandra wakes to realize she has gone from adored to barely tolerated bride. Vero scrambles to keep what is hidden although the stage is now set for worlds to collide.
Sadly, the truth hit Romina right between the eyes as she watched it unfold, devastated and heartbroken. She did everything she could to give her marriage a chance but the cold hard truth will allow her to let Marcos go and find her own happiness (which I hope lies elsewhere other than Ivan).

I cannot stand him either but I want to say that Alexis Ayala has done a masterful job portraying such an unlikable character and never allowing him to become boring in any way. Lalo seems amenable to accepting some help from Clara. Clara seems like a really decent young baby. And I expect in time that she and Juan will get together.
