Caray, Caray!

The overlapping of endings to beginnings of each episode means we have to see some of the most pathetic scenes twice or more. And so we begin tonight with Silvana once again wheedling at poor clueless Diego that he must begin to forget Azul and give her a chance to prove her total love of him. She is there to help him with Caty and if he can't do this for himself or for her, remember poor Caty and do it for her, and with this kiss she now speaks only in command mode, "we" seal our promise, and by the way thanks for the opportunity to make you happy. [Ed. note: Excuse me while I take a break to go take a really hot, soapy shower after repeating this drivel once again.]

Caty is flirting with Mario and Ceci at lunch, she tells Mario the girl robbers only steal the pretty ones. Ceci takes a minute to inquire if she can ask Mario something personal, and when he quips that he is a Sagittarius, etc. she cuts in that it is about Luis Felipe's private life. She wants to know who he is in love with.

Back at the orphanage, Madre Maria is scolding Luis Felipe, wanting to understand what kind of relationship he has with Azucena after she catches them kissing in the infirmary and insists on walking him to the door. He will be banned from coming if he keeps it up.

Diego has half a clue while he questions Silvana's repeated trips to the orphanage and wonders about her relationship with this Azucena person. Silvana thought bubbles that now is her chance to tell Diego the truth but if he discovers the truth later, he will hate her forever, what to do... [Oh hell, kiss now think later.]

Madre Maria counsels Luis Felipe that he could be committing a great sin if it turns out that Azucena is married. LF says he is crazy in love but we'll wait for her to recover her memory. Madre Maria is stern and not fooled for a minute, If Azuc falls for his game, she will ask for his keys back.

Silvana is desperately ad lib-ing a rationalization for her sudden concern for this unfortunate crazy girl staying with Madre Maria. She wants to help to add to Azuc's happiness and theirs [yeah sure.] Diego finally falls for the story apologizing to Silvana for not being more supportive of her generous, admirable acts of charity. Whew!

Madre Maria continues her lecture to LF that he must not work against the designs of God. Azuc is so special and has worked wonders with Frijolito and the other children, she is a good nurse and has brought her special light here, it's a blessing but she will not let them change the serenity and sanctity of this place.

Back to the restaurant, Ceci is continuing to pressure Mario to tell her about Luis Felipe's new love interest. Mario worries that she is threatening him that she won't go out with him again but he can't break the sacred trust of his friendship with LF. He further pledges that his big goals are to cure the sick, dance the mambo, and not sing ranchero songs badly. She applauds his loyalty. [Your editor thinks she's a fool to be hung up on someone she dated twice when this great guy is pitching himself to her, he's hawt and LF is cute but not, IMO]

Madre Maria comes back to Azuc and tells her to go to the chapel and pray for light from God who knows all about her and perhaps she will learn what he has in mind for her and her memory will return.

Silvana is getting very snippy with Gloria about going to the orphanage as her personal business. Silvana is becoming a very busy girl trying to keep control of everyone especially all access to Diego.

Azuc is praying at a little altar hoping to discover who she really is , who is her true love, is it LF or someone else, are there children? She asks for help and says send me a sign. [ I'm humming that great tune by Maná, "Manda un Señal]. Azuc faints and falls on the floor. -BREAK- Frijolito rushes into Madre Maria to report that Azuc fell over like she was dead in the chapel.

Lidia, Clemencia, Anibal and soon Tavo gather to discuss Lidia and Tavo's wedding plans. Lidia is sorry the news came out during the memorial mass for Azul but Tavo is dying to get married and Clemi adds that she has discussed this with Diego who is not opposed to the plans going ahead. He is the only one who could rightly be offended since his wife had just died. They plan a meeting soon so Tavo can ask Diego for his sister's hand. [Guess this is the latest snub to Manuel who so deserves it. Nice to see people getting what they have earned.]

Azuc is propped up in a bed with the dozen or so moppets and Madre Maria hovering about. MM tells the moppets to back off they are robbing Azuc of oxygen.

Manuel and Silvana are talking at the orphanage about hiring someone to grab Azul and hide her, and who should be listening in again but Frijolito. Manuel can get someone to do this job, but Silvana insists that there be no more screwups, she repeats that if Diego finds out about this scheme, he will hate her forever. Eventually Diego will find Azul at the orphanage, but before that Silvana will convince her to formalize her relationship with Luis Felipe. Then Silvana is gleeful that Azul will have LF and she, Silvana will then be home free with Diego. Manuel is a bit taken aback that Azul has a new love interest, it was an quick replacement. Then he lays out that his part in the arrangement to get Azul out of the way will now cost double, but that includes that when it is over, he disappears and won't return to ask for anything more. Silvana reluctantly agrees but dodges Manuel's greasy attempted kiss. Frijolito does a great spy job around the corner. He thought bubbles: What is this talk about Azul, what are they planning, i have to verify this, it is a job for "super agent Frijolito".

Azuc in her infirmary bed is still surrounded by kids who want to help. Dr. LF is there worrying over the fainting spell and of course holding hands in his very best bedside manner.

Gloria tells Silvana her bedding Diego was stupid and she needs to repair the damage. Silvana insists that the relationship has already started. [Well, we know Silvana started a long time ago.] Silvana thinks Gloria should just support her daughter's actions, after all it is all for the good of Diego and Caty and they need her,[ gag!] Her moment has arrived and she is not letting go of it. Silvana and Gloria argue for the rest of the scene about whether Silvana is a viper on her own or whether she learned at the foot of her mother.

The great science meeting begins with Mario, Luis Felipe and GSD who tries immediately to get away with lighting up a cigarette. He deeply sucks in as much smoke as he can while sheepishly and slowly putting it out. GSD is very interested in the multi disciplinary project to study babies and mothers with AIDS using his interferon developed for curing the African retrovirus. LF is mightily impressed with GSD's reputation and [HEY WAIT A MINUTE: How can LF not know who Azuc really is, when he met Ceci at the award ceremony for GSD, Azul was there!! I just remembered that while watching this episode] Mario thinks GSD and LF will make perfect study buddies since both are perfectionists who work night and day [another tall tale, GSD watched Azul almost die while he smoked and wrung his hands not going to the lab very often, but telenovela memory is short]

Silvana continuing her Mother Theresa work, shows up at Emilia's with a baby zoot suit to cheer up Emilia. Emilia gets to tell her problems for about 30 seconds, how her life has taken a 180 degree turn and she never expected to have children and now it is so late she is confined to her house [with that idiot GSD blowing smoke on her every chance he gets.]. Emilia talks on about how she and Silvana used to be such close friends but now not so much. Silvana is just so busy with taking care of Diego and Caty. She pretends to seek Emilia's advice but is clearly in projecting mode only not receiving. Emilia valiantly tries to warn her about not respecting Diego's need to grieve for his beloved wife. She tells Silvana to take care, Diego may not continue to fall for this pity-love as time goes on.

Diego is indeed complaining to Arnaldo that he is feeling the pressure from Silvana and he cannot forget his love for Azul. He feels admiration for Silvana and gratitude for all her help. Arnaldo suggest he go seek counseling from Emilia. She is confined to the house and it would help both of them for him to visit her to discuss his readjustment problems.

Madre Maria is now talking with Luis Felipe's mother [sorry I haven't caught her name] she now gets the rundown on the big kissing scene. In another room Azuc is giving a lesson to the children on the use of cleaning and disinfecting with alcohol, something every 8 year old should have a firm grasp of for sure. She gets wobbly dizzy again. Frijolito again takes the high road and suggests that Azuc was told to stay in bed and take care of herself but won't and if she tells them to take care of themselves how can they believe her. Thus again Frijolito displays an intelligence superior to any adult's around him.

Luis Felipe goes on about the African retrovirus that Azul suffererd from and that GSD cured with his interferon. GSD says he saved her from the retrovirus but not from the monster that gave it to her. She died and he doesn't want to discuss it further. He worries that his son in law isn't recovering from his grief either.

Diego looks surprised as Silvana barges in with two large suitcases. She asserts that she has given up her modeling career to stay to take over, err I mean take care of Diego and Caty. -BREAK- No, Diego can't permit her to give up her career that is so successful. Silvana persists that she has given up her hotel room and she is moving in because Diego needs her. The moment will never be right but she knows that if she stays right close and keeps the iron grip on that Diego will cave eventually [okay, I made that up but it's a real description of what Silvana is doing.] Caty wants her to be there, when Diego questions, did Caty say that, Silvana doesn't miss a beat but says yes, in so many words. Caty needs to see us together so she will feel like part of this great family I have planned for you for the rest of your life. She claims it is her own decisions to give up the career, money, fame and all for Diego and Caty who need her so much. [Silvana is like a battering ram here, never letting up for Diego to take a breath.]

Luis Felipe presses more about Azul's death but GSD resists so LF talks about his great new love who is only a little damaged but as soon as she is well, he is so in love he wants to marry her and by the way GSD is invited to the wedding. What's her name? Azucena! Oh that's interesting [yeah, it'll be really interesting if it comes to that before this charade ends.]

Luis Felipe's Mom is giving water to Azuc and asking if LF knows she was sick, yes he took blood samples [Is this another pregnancy scene with the nausea and fainting? I'm getting suspicious here] Anyway Mom lets Azuc know she heard about the kissing scene from Madre Maria. What is happening here?? Azuc who professes love for LF, but plays innocent, NADA...

Silvana coaxes Caty into saying she wants her to move in but Caty misses Azul. Silvana says she understands and reminds Caty of Nico's death [like this child needs more trauma every day.] As Silvana starts to take her luggage toward Diego's bedroom Caty screams, not to my papa's room. Diego finally gets a backbone momentarily and explains that Silvana will of course stay in the guest room. Silvana is plenty pissed and hisses that Diego or she is going to explain to Caty that they are now a couple. But Diego isn't biting. The guest room it is, we'll get Chondola to prepare it for you . She repeats that he should support her in front of Caty and he holds back that he isn't in a mood to be intimate with anyone. Silvana never stops pushing on Diego but finally the luggage heads toward the guest room with much pouting.

LF and his mother discuss his impulsiveness. She wants him to wait, he wants to move forward. The neurologist may help things along. Good grief, this is getting on my nerves. LF and Mom are going back to the ranch for the night.

Ceci pops into Diego's for a chat after she determines that Silvana is not home.

Silvana is criticizing Frijole in front of Azul who does nothing to protect the moppet, she tells him he is impolite to listen to adult's conversations but he says it's the best way to find out what is happening. So right. Frijole is so on the ball, he listens again outside the door.

Ceci listens to Diego talking about being depressed and confused. She admits her antipathy for Silvana but cautions him like everyone else has that he shouldn't give in to the extreme pressure of Silvana but he should listen to his own heart about when it will be right to move on in his life. Caty appears and wants to know if Ceci has heard that Silvana moved in. Caty wants assurance that she can still go places with Ceci so they plan a trip to the park. -BREAK-

Silvana is applying pressure now to Azuc again. While she says Azuc should want to get out of this orphanage that is for children and realize her dream to be with LF, she is thought bubbling how Azuc can be busy with LF and she can have Diego all to herself. She then turns up the heat with perhaps this handsome man will be snapped up by another woman, Azuc shouldn't dally. Sheesh!

Diego gets to cry again with Emilia about his anguish at being pushed into the Silvana relationship [spiderweb] when he feels grief for Azul. He is so kind and understanding about her confinement woes. They decide they are really good therapy for each other. After all, Silvana isn't listening to anything he says.

Frijolito listens once again as Madre Maria, LF, his Mom, and Azuc stroll down a hallway. How Azuc get more visitors than anyone else including the saints.

Emilia counsels Diego that he needs to decide where HE WANTS this relationship with Silvana to go. It should not be a substitute for Azul. He goes over again that Silvana is willing to risk that he may not love her she is so sure of herself but he can't forget his love for his wife. She was everything to him. Emilia assures him that he will assimilate this with maturity [me, I'm not so sure.]

Silvana is telling off Chula (sp?) that she should have advised her of exactly what Caty was doing alone or with whom. Chula says she has had no orders from Señor (Diego) to this effect which infuriates Silvana who adds that she will decide who Caty sees especially if it involves Ceci. Diego's Mom Clemi steps into the room listening to this rant and asks dryly, are you also authorizing visits from Diego's family???

Frijolito, clearly tonight's big hero, is in the chapel remembering the Manuel/Silvana discussion about Diego, Azul, Azuc and Luis Felipe and suddenly cries out to the virgin, Azucena is Azul!!

The episode begins with overlap from yesterday’s ending. We again see Ceci being consoled by Clemi, Lydia, and Anibal; Diego and Silvana tucking Caty in bed; and Silvana spiking Diego’s drink & crawling on top of him in bed, while he says Azul’s name.

Next morning, Diego wakes up with Silvana in his bed and is shocked. He wonders what happened? What he did? He is in agony and angry with himself. I’m actually thinking that most likely, in true novela fashion, nothing actually happened. He was too doped up to do the deed and Silvana has no problem letting him think it was a fait acompli because what better way to trap a man. I could be wrong, after all back in the beginning when he was all in love with Azul (the future mother of his children), he had no problem sleeping with Silvana. However, if the writers are willing to fall back on the amnesia plot line, why not pull out all the stops and use the drunken almost-sleeping together device as well.

We see Flaquito and Azulcena cleaning the church. They are getting rid of the flowers from Azul’s memorial. They keep the sash from the flowers and drape it over the statue of the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus.

Julio and Arnie are discussing all the changes with Alfredo—how he’s accepted their relationship and wants Arnie to be a part of the new baby’s life. They have a psychological discussion on the differences in parenting when you are young versus when you are more mature. Arnie’s just glad that he and his father are becoming friends.

Ceci visits with Caty and “cries” on her shoulder about her lack of luck with men. Ceci tells the moppet that she always cheers her up. Ceci asks Caty what she would like to do for the day and Caty decides to go see her abuelos.

Emilia and GSD discuss the future and their baby. She’s feeling a little nauseated this morning and has a call into her physician. They talk about how UNAM has a new investigation into childhood AIDS and GSD is interested in the project.

Coincidentally, Mario and Luis are discussing GSD’s work and their new investigation into curing childhood AIDS. Mario tells Luis that he’s actually Emilia’s obstetrician and how with her advanced age and being her first pregnancy, he might need Luis to be there when the baby is born.

Azulcena reports to MS about Flaquito’s progress.

Diego goes to the church and prays for forgiveness. He sees the sash on the Virgin Mary and takes it into his hands, then falls to his knees. He has some flashbacks to last night and the first time he and Azul slept together. I’m thinking that impure thoughts in church, not such a good thing---but if it is directly related to what you are seeking forgiveness for, perhaps it is allowed. While he’s on his knees at the front of the church, Azulcena steps into the open doorway at the back of the church. COMMERCIAL

Luis shows up and gives Azulcena a hug. She lets out a little giggle and Luis pulls her away as to not disturb the man praying at the front. Diego hears the giggle and looks spooked. He turns around and only catches sight of the back of Azulcena. He takes off in pursuit, but he doesn’t get a good look as Azulcena rides off with Luis & Mario in the truck. Diego goes to MS and asks her about the woman hanging around, the one in the gray dress (it looked more off-white/pinkish to me, but what do I know, I’m not a fashion designer). MS tells him that’s got to be Azulcena. She’s come to stay with them, but poor thing, she’s not quite right in the head. With almost Marcia(from La Fea)-like timing, Silvana calls on the cell phone at that exact moment. Diego, a product of the modern world and slave to technology, doesn’t ignore the call but takes it---because let’s treat the person who is present as if they are not as important as whomever it might possibly be calling (you see I have issues with this). Anyway, Silvana freaks when she hears that Diego is at the orphanage. She hangs up with him and calls to cancel all her plans for the day.

MS and Diego discuss Silvana. MS wasn’t so sure about Silvana in the beginning, but she seems like someone who really wants to help (at this, I say stick with your first instincts, they are usually right for a reason). MS tells Diego how Silvana wants to help Azulcena, blah, blah. MS thanks Diego for all he’s done to help the kids. Diego says he does it for Azul.

Back at la casa de Diego, Ceci is waiting for Caty in the salon and Silvana walks into the room. Ceci comments on Silvana’s early arrival and Silvana says no it is more like her leaving late. Oh yeah, by the way Diego and I are now a couple we made passionate love last night because I put a Mickey in his drink. OK, she only mentioned the couple part, but Ceci can read between the lines. Ceci tells Silvana that she’s been waiting for the first opportunity to slip into Diego’s bed. Silvana says that Diego knew what he was doing (lie!) and that he knows she’s in love with him. Ceci makes a crack about Silva’s trickery and that’s probably how she got ahead in the modeling world. Silva slaps Ceci and tells her that is none of her business. Ceci doesn’t get into a “Dynasty” type chick fight, but remains dignified and tells Silva that Diego and Caty are her business. Silvana says she doesn’t have time to waste on Ceci, she’s got important things to do. The moppet comes running out, ready to spend her day with Ceci. Silvana is jealous and tries to act like she’s Caty’s mom. She doesn’t think it is right that Caty is missing school to spend time with Ceci. Caty tells her that it is Saturday and she succeeds in making Silvana look stupid.

Mario shows up at Emilia’s and GSD lets her in, just missing sight of Azulcena in the truck with Luis.

Diego is at the boutique and Manuel is impactado to learn that Diego was at the orphanage that morning. He asks Diego if he saw her? And Diego wonders what his dad is talking about. Manuel does a bad job covering up---he meant Silvana, but Diego is clueless, so it works.

Silvana goes to the orphanage and grills MS on Diego’s visit. Did he see Azulcena? MS tells her no, but he was asking about her. Silvana feels sick.

Julio and Diego discuss what happened with Silvana, and Gloria listens from outside the door. Diego can’t believe what he did. Julio says there is no sense in crying over spilt milk—he did what he did and he can’t go back and change it. What he needs to do now is decide how he wants to proceed with Silvana in the future. Diego says that’s what’s got him upset. He doesn’t see a future with Silvana but knows that she’s going to take what happened as a sign that they are getting serious. He’s not prepared to get into a relationship. Julio says that she knows this. Diego says he doesn’t want to hurt her. Julio says well why don’t you go ahead and see in time if Silvana is someone he wants to be involved with. Julio speculates that once Diego sees how Silvana really is it won’t work. Diego looks confused, what’s wrong with Silvana he wonders. Gloria comes in the room at this point and breaks up the conversation.

Mario gives Emilia her prenatal vitamins and tells her that she needs to avoid alcohol, medications, and tobacco. Emilia emphasizes that last one to GSD, who then promises to not smoke anymore….in her presence (yes, the end of the show is near, plots are wrapping up and here is proof---GSD is working on quitting the nasty cigarette habit.) Mario mentions that he’d like his colleague and friend, Luis Pena, to be present at delivery because he’s a neonatal specialist. Just then, Caty and Ceci arrive. Mario eyes up Ceci (and just a note, I agree with Mr. 5ft. that these two would make quite the cute couple, so Ceci should go for it!). Ceci seems uncomfortable. Emilia learns that Mario and Ceci are acquainted via the aforementioned Luis Pena. What a small world. They discuss how the baby will be Caty’s tio or tia. Caty is a little confused about having a tio younger than her, but says hello to her new tio/a inside Emilia’s tummy.

Azulcena and Luis return to the orphanage and learn that Silvana is visiting. They show appropriate concern over Silvana’s health and Luis offers to give her a check up. MS and Luis leave Azulcena and Silva alone. Silva starts campaigning for Azulcena to hook up with Luis and forget about tracking down her past. Silvana thought bubbles that if she can get Azul to hook up with Luis, it will leave it open for her to be with Diego. Azulcena is thankful to have someone to talk to about Luis and she’s thankful for Silvana’s interest and friendship. Silvana just wants Azulcena to be happy and she thinks that Luis is the man for the job (what a crock).

Gloria worries to Chuco about what Silvana’s doing to Diego. She speculates that perhaps she wasn’t the best example to her daughter (You think?). Chuco pooh-poohs the notion that Gloria wasn’t mother of the year material. That man has blinders on when it comes to women in his life.

Ceci chats alone with Emilia and tells her what happened with Luis. How they met a couple times, Ceci wrote and nothing happened. Ceci admits that the relationship was pretty one-sided and Luis never promised anything to her. She just built up this fantasy and he’s gone and given his heart to another. Ceci tells Emilia that she’ll forget, but it will be harder with Mario hanging around reminding her of Luis. (I wonder, does Emilia ever get tired of playing psychologist to everyone w/o getting any billable hours).

Out in the living room, GSD tells Mario he’s interested in the AIDS project and Caty plays with her dolls. Ceci comes to collect Caty and leave. She gives GSD a kiss on the cheek and only offers Mario a handshake, although he went in for the kiss. Mario hurries and wraps up his conversation with GSD and heads out after Ceci & Caty. GSD looks a little confused with the brush off. He goes in and tells Emilia about his agreeing to work on the AIDS project. Emilia is happy for him and they talk about how happy he is to be staying in DF and being there for her and the baby.

Mario catches up to the girls and invites them to lunch. Ceci needs to be convinced by Caty, but the moppet’s cuteness is successful in getting her what she wants. At lunch, Caty plays matchmaker—pointing out how cute Ceci is. Mario agrees. Caty tells Mario that Ceci’s had her heart broken recently by a man who’s half stupid. Mario says if he broke Ceci’s heart, he’s got to be entirely stupid (way to flirt and get in a good dig at your best friend). Caty goes off to play and Ceci asks Mario to tell her about the new woman in Luis’s life.

Luis returns to the clinic and Azulcena, fortified by Silvana’s encouragement, tells him that she wants to forget the idea of finding her past. She’d rather concentrate on the now. She kisses him and he’s all for that. MS walks in and catches sight of the embrace. She breaks it up and orders Luis to come talk to her. She scolds him for what she witnessed and demands to know what kind of relationship he’s having with Azulcena.

Gloria tries to talk to Silvana about what happened with Diego. Silvana blows her off. She’s going to see Diego.

Diego tells Silvana last night shouldn’t have happened and he wonders what would have happened if Caty caught them. Silvana’s not worried, besides last night was so special. Diego says he feels badly about what happened and he takes full responsibility. Silvana says no need to feel bad or take responsibility because it was something they both wanted. Diego says no, he feels like he betrayed Azul. He tells Silvana he doesn’t want to hurt her or give her any false illusions about their relationship, but it was just lust not love. Silvana assures him that she’s aware of the situation, and she’s just glad to have the opportunity to express how much she loves him. He says he can’t offer her anything and she tells him that he needs to live his life, keep your memories of Azul, but live in the now. She kisses him and promises him that she’ll help him become happy. He needs to do it for Caty’s sake. After a commercial break, we are back to Diego and Silvana. He’s talking about the orphanage and Azulcena. Silvana tries to tell Diego that he doesn’t need to go to the orphanage anymore, she’ll take on that responsibility. He doesn’t want to stop going there, he does it because of Azul. Silvana starts to stress & thought bubbles---she better fess up now, because if he finds out that she knew Azul is alive and is currently running around as Azulcena, Diego will never forgive her. What should she do? END OF THE EPISODE. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!!

Lukewarm leftovers from last night: Gaspar and Ceci were too scared to tell Gloria that it was Silvana who spilled the coffee on Ceci's dress. Diego's pissed that the press is saying he and Silvana are an item; Silvana plays innocent. Julio says he knows how to keep Silvana in line. Diego apologizes for hurting Silvana's feelings; Silvana forgives him…and then makes out with him. Azul diagnoses Frijolito with ADD.

Diego tells Silvana he's still in love with Azul, so he can't make out with her right now (not that it ever stopped him before). Silvana wants a chance to win his love. Diego says he only sees her as a friend and he'll never (love her?)…he'll never forget Azul. Silvana feels like life's giving her a second chance. Diego says he can't start a new relationship and he doesn't think it would be good for Caty. Silvana offers to keep it quiet because she luuuuuurves him and she's fighting for his love. Diego says ok, but they've got to go slow. Idiot.

MS is convinced that Azul has a degree and it might help them figure out who she is. LuisFe has brought his buddy to the orphanage to meet Azul.

Gaspar and Ceci wonder what Julio's got up his sleeve. Julio won't tell them, but shows them the newspaper. Ceci says that "old beggar" is trying to get into Diego's pants. Ceci doesn't believe the news is true. Julio thinks that Silvana fed the news to the papers.

Arnaldo has brought a baby present over to GSD and Emilia's. Emilia gets all weepy over the pretty white-net-draped bassinet.

In MS's office, everyone brags about what a good doctor LuisFe is and MS announces that Azul is a psychologist and that her remembering things only a psychologist or psychiatrist would remember is a sign that she's recovering her memory. Commercials. LuisFe seems kind of annoyed. He wants to know exactly what she remembered. MS says that Azul told her all about Frijolito having ADD. Azul now prattles on about how she'd channel his aggression by using flexible rules and play therapy. LuisFe still looks worried.

Arnaldo has also come over to beg to be allowed to be a proper brother to his new sibling. GSD is actually offended by the question. He says that he was a lousy dad once, but now he'll be a good dad to all his kids (that he knows about). He says they'll keep the news about Arni being gay from the little moppet until it's old enough to understand what that means.

At Julio's Boutique, Ceci is modeling clothes so that (presumably) rich women can shop. Clemencia comes in and congratulates Ceci on looking so good on the TV show yesterday. Ceci says she's so grateful to Diego that she promised to be at the boutique showing off more of his clothes. She also mentions that she's doing a catalog shoot later and will be dressed as a doctor. I'd laugh if she got there and found out she would be modeling scrubs, a hairnet, and a surgical mask. Unless it's not that kind of catalog. Clemencia says that "Silvana says" that when a model's career takes off, she shouldn't keep doing those kind of jobs. Ceci's like, yeah, so sayeth Miss Snooty, but these people were good to me when I was just starting out and besides--work is work!

Diego drops Silvana off somewhere after reassuring her that she's still looking good. Silvana immediately hails a taxi and thought bubbles that she's just got to keep Diego from finding out Azul is alive and then she can have him…bwahahahaha!

Azul excitedly shows LuisFe around the orphanage's garden. She asks him to take her shopping for medical supplies for the orphanage. He'll take her shopping tomorrow, and also to her "therapy" appointment. Argh! They're playing "Todo Cambió" again…I wish they'd quit ruining that song for me. Azul is excited that figuring out that she knows pysch stuff might help her. LuisFe says he'll love her no matter what. Yuck! Karyme Lozano's got to be getting a cheekache from all the wide-eyed, innocent smiling she's having to do lately.

Ceci and Clemencia bust Manuel checking out the female clients. Clemencia wants a word with him. She tried to find him at his apartment and his landlady complained about how many months behind he was on rent. And it's no use him complaining that Clemi and Anibal have the house, since it was her father who paid for it. She tells him that Tavo doesn't have to ask him for Lidia's hand, but Manuel insists that he does. He's determined to make up with Lidia and have the place he "deserves". Uh, dude, I don't know what you think you deserve, but I'm sure I'm not thinking what you're thinking. This seems like a rather pointless conversation as it's not like Lidia can't get married without his permission.

Silvana has gone to the orphanage to talk to MS about Azul. Silvana wants to offer Azul her friendship, since she's all alone in the world. MS has her BS meter turned off, since she thinks that Silvana is just as "good" as Diego. Barf.

Clemi and Manuel get into a shouting match about how Manuel wishes he were half the man Anibal is. Clemi threatens that if he doesn't leave Lidia alone, she'll tell Diego that he's been gambling instead of working. Diego comes in on the tail end of this argument and Clemi says she just came to congratulate him and tell him he looked good on TV. As she hugs him, she gives Manuel a dirty look behind Diego's back.

LuisFe and his buddy talk about Azul. LuisFe seems kind of put out at how confident Azul sounded when she was talking psych. He seems to get more and more upset as his friend points out that maybe her confidence was the real "Azucena" coming out, that they should check with the national psych association and with the big psych faculties in the area and see if she graduated from around there. LuisFe tries to put him off by saying they don't even know her name, but this doesn't sound like an obstacle to his buddy (I agree!). He says they'll take a picture of her and explain the situation. LuisFe gets really offended and yells at his buddy when his buddy asks if maybe he doesn't really want to find someone who knows her. This is making me like LuisFe a little less, even as a partner for Ceci.

Silvana and Azul chat about how very, very sad it is not to know who you are or remember anything about yourself. Silvana offers to help, but doesn't elaborate on how. Azul notices that she and Silvana have the same bracelet, but Silvana puts her off by saying they sell them everywhere and it just means they have the same taste (as Mr. 5ft so graciously points out, they do have the same taste: in men, children, etc.). Azul takes it as a sign they were meant to be friends and Silvana tells her that Azul should consult her on all things and Silvana will tell what she should do or not do. Dang it, Silvana, just kill her already, it would be less painful for all of us.

LuisFe defends himself to his friend some more and just as his buddy says he knows what to do, Ceci shows up for her medical catalog shoot. Hey, are we sure this is actually a catalog shoot and not a Dirty Doctors of 2008 Calendar shoot? Cause with Ceci there and the two hottie doctors…I'm just saying. Commercials. LuisFe and Ceci catch up as the lighting guys get set up. He makes excuses for not emailing her back. The buddy reminds LuisFe that he hasn't introduced him yet. Mario is the buddy's name, or Dr. Hottie, whichever. Mr. 5ft wants to put Dr. Hottie in the mix as a potential suitor for Ceci. Well, the fact that he's paying attention to her and not to her best friend would be a point in his favor. Mario says he saw her on TV as he was channel surfing. According to Mario, LuisFe talked a lot about Ceci, but he didn't talk enough about how pretty she is. Mario: 1, LuisFe: 0. Ceci only hears the part about how LuisFe talked about her. She has to go to wardrobe and makeup, but she asks the guys (since she can't trust LuisFe to get in touch with her) to stick around and watch her shoot. Mario agrees quicker than LuisFe and says they'll finish buying the supplies they need and then stick around. Poor Mario. How come LuisFe gets all the women?

Diego wants to know what's up with Clemi and Manuel, but she evades. Clemi apologizes for Tavo making the wedding announcement before the mourning period for Azul was over. Diego thinks that life needs to go on and he's not upset about it. Clemi tells him he needs to get on with his life as well. Diego: "Silvana just said the same thing." Clemi: "Oh, so what it says in the papers is true?"

Silvana is babbling to Azul about how careful she has to be in getting her memory back, because anyone could just invent a past for her. She slips up and starts to say "Azul" but changes it to "Azucena" and the idiot apparently doesn't notice. Azul is impressed that someone so "important" who shows up on TV wants to help her. Silvana is impactada when Azul mentions that MS said that she was friends with Diego. I don't know if she's surprised to hear Diego's name or surprised that just hearing Diego's name didn't bring Azul's memories back. Ok, here's the thing: other than Mauricio breaking out of jail, Azul has no subconscious reason not to want to remember about herself. It's not like she was unhappy in her life--it doesn't make sense that things like remembering Caty's voice, hearing Diego's name, or hearing her own name wouldn't trigger her memories. This is just sloppy writing and it's really getting on my nerves. I might be able to handle it better if it wasn't so obvious that this amnesia plot was tacked on to the end, but they made the mistake of wrapping things up weeks ago and then having to come up with some new drama. End rant.

Diego tells Clemencia that Silvana kissed him and he felt so bad about not giving her a chance. Ugh, so it's a pity relationship? Clemi wants to know what he's going to do, but he says he didn't have the heart to reject her and since neither of them had anything to lose.... If Silvana had any pride, she wouldn't want him on these terms. Clemi says he can't hurt Silvana again, she's such a great woman.

Silvana says goodbye to Azul and thought bubbles that she's not doing anything wrong because Azul doesn't remember a thing and Diego and Caty already think she's dead. Azul looks just the tiniest bit doubtful after Silvana leaves as she looks at her bracelet.

The way Ceci's dressed and posing at this photo shoot makes me think the Dirty Doctors Calendar is what they're shooting and not a catalog cover. She said she'd be dressed as a doctor, but I've never seen one dressed like that--more like a Naughty Nurse costume, with less cleavage. She gives LuisFe lots of flirty looks. Mario's really impressed with her and says if LuisFe isn't interested, then he wants to ask her out.

Azul is giving a gardening lesson. I didn't know she knew how to compost. She calls Frijolito over and tells him to pay attention. She asks him to repeat the instructions, but he can't. She has the kids all pick up stuff to compost, but Frijolito is mad at her and throws a rock through a window despite Azul's sweet talk. For all her brilliant blathering earlier about how she'd treat him, she sure didn't follow through. Azul and the kids are horrified. MS comes running outside and Azul explains what happened and says they're all fine. Azul begs clemency for Frijolito and offers to go find him. Commercials.

Ceci and LuisFe are at diner and Ceci again asks for an explanation for why she didn't hear from LuisFe for so long. She's ready to pick up their relationship where it left off, but LuisFe pronounces them friends. He tells her he's in love with someone else. Poor Ceci, she really hasn't done anything to deserve the monumental bad luck she's having with men (Mr. 5ft thinks she deserves it for making friends with Azul). Come on, Ceci, cut your losses and go out with Mario!

Azul finds Frijolito and they talk about how none of his family wanted him after his parents died. Azul boosts his ego some, but Frijolito is resistant to positive feedback and says no one understands him. Azul says she loves him and this seems to appease Frijolito. Yep, Caty's definitely getting a big brother when all this is over.

LuisFe gives the obligatory "I never meant to hurt you". Ceci says it hurts anyway. Now he tries to convince Ceci that she doesn't feel what she feels. Run, Ceci, run to Mario! LuisFe says they shouldn't see each other so that he doesn’t hurt her more. Ceci leaves.

Julio and Diego talk about recent sales (as in, since the night before). Julio's impressed things have gone so well, especially since the press is talking more about his love life than his designs. MS calls Diego and tells him about the broken TV and the broken window. Diego's going to send someone over to fix things, but it probably won't be until tomorrow. Silvana walks into the sewing room and Julio tells her he needs to talk to her and ushers her out.

He says he's getting tired of what Silvana's doing to his work and Diego's. He blames her for the spilled coffee on the dress and she plays dumb. He says he found out how she got ahead in this field, calling her a "trepadora" (a climber) and she demands to know exactly why he's called her that twice today. Julio says if she doesn't know, Mr. Subaki and some other men might be able to refresh her memory. Manuel comes in and eavesdrops on the conversation as Silvana says he must never tell Diego. Julio says he also won't tell that she dropped her fee to a ridiculously low amount in order to take the Fashionismo campaign away from Ceci. He says if she doesn't want Diego to find out then she'd better think twice about what she does from now on, because he won't allow her to ruin Ceci's career or his business. Bravo, Julio! He should have been an evil mastermind. Manuel comes over and says he never knew the woman who wanted to be his future girlfriend had such a dark side. I rewound it to make sure that's what he said and not "Diego's future girlfriend". I guess this is meant to be taken as a threat. After all, why should everybody else get the hot chicks, right? Diego comes in and tells Manuel he needs him to take someone over to the orphanage. Silvana looks nervous, and I guess she's got plenty of reason to be as we can now see that her ambition to be the latest Big Bad on the show far outstrips any actual talent or intelligence she might have for the job. Comercials.

Frijolito tells MS that he's already spoken to the boys and they'll sleep in the living room tonight and let the girls have their room (since the girls' room is the one with the now-broken window). And he'll also do whatever it takes to pay for the broken window. MS is proud of his attitude and sends him on his way. MS is impressed with Azul's good job. And probably, yeah, he did need for one person to believe in him and he needed to have some individual attention, but he didn't necessarily need Azul for that. Or maybe I just don't like her and I don't want her to have any credit.

Manuel tells Silvana that he feels so much more comfortable with her now that he knows how alike they are. Hear that, Silvana? As if you needed any more incentive to turn from the dark side! He reminds her she's got to help him out so that he can help her out by not telling his son that she's no white dove. He doesn't want money, though, he wants an open line of credit for himself. Silvana's going to give it to him because she thinks she's got enough money. Dear, there's never enough money for that man. Manuel says he's going to go to the orphanage, but Silvana fills him in on the news that Azul isn't dead and she's living there. Manuel's shocked that she hasn't told Diego, but she explains her reasons. Manuel agrees that Silvana is better for Diego than Azul, but he can't believe she'd do this. Silvana says she won't let anything separate her from Diego and she needs to find a way to get Azul out of the orphanage, with Manuel's help. Manuel doesn't think that will be enough, though, since she hasn't managed to make Diego love her yet. He counsels getting Diego to sleep with her (hello, Silvana, same advice he gave Lidia and look where it got her!) just to give him that little extra push he needs.

LuisFe goes home and tells his Mami about his dinner with Ceci. He waxes rhapsodic about Ceci and Mami asks if he's sure he couldn't get back with her, but LuisFe claims he's in luuuuuurve with Azul. And now that she's starting to recover her memory, it would be a bad idea to start a relationship with Ceci. Blargh!

Ceci cries to Lidia and Clemi about LuisFe breaking her heart. Lidia says that he did it in a matter of hours, which is a record, even for her (ha!). Anibal gives her a "you're not helping" look. Ceci cries some more and talks some more about what he said and Ceci and Lidia console her.

Diego and Silvana put Caty to bed. After they leave the room, Silvana says they're going to have a nice dinner of fondue and wine to celebrate his recent success. She takes him into the living room and while he goes to get the bread, she doses his wine. He returns and she toasts to all the good things life is going to give them. Diego takes a comically big gulp of his wine. A few hours later, presumably, Silvana helps a weepy drunk Diego into bed and out of his clothes. As he cries about Azul and begs for help, Silvana thought bubbles that she'll help him all right, help him forget Azul! Let the non-consensual sex begin.

Tomorrow: Diego goes to the orphanage and Azul sees (at least) the back of his head.

We see again a few scenes from yesterday- Silvana pouring coffee on Ceci's dress, Julio waiting for Ceci impatiently as the show is about to start, Gaspar finds the ruined dress, LF dropping Azulcena off at the orphanage while Azulcena professes her love for him, the mother superior chats with Azulcena about her memory loss, Azulcena finds the room full of lilies and the nun begins to arrange a meeting between Azulcena and that nice young man who just lost his wife.

Diego, Julio and Silvana are waiting for Ceci. Diego goes to find her while Silvana tries to look innocent. Diego finds Gaspar and the ruined dress, Ceci crying in the background, dressed in a sack. Diego takes it very well and is even apologetic to Ceci for bringing in Silvana when it was supposed to be Ceci's night. Diego sets about fixing everything.

Silvana gripes to Julio about why Diego wants Ceci in the show. She sticks her nose in the air and explains that she is all that matters. Julio strokes her ego but doesn't seem to believe that she is the center of the known world. In fact, he has heard that she has used her attributes to climb the ladder of fame and he tells her so. The show is readt to start in two minutes.

Back at the middle-age orphanage, Azulcena is introduced to the nuns, who are ecstatic to have company instead of watching their 6 inch TV. They feed her cookies.

Diego is trying to fix the dress while Ceci hounds him to hurry. He turns around and shuts her up, politely telling her that she will shine tonight, trust him, as he dries the dress with a hair dryer. The hostess of the show introduces Julio and then the international model, Silvana Lombardo. Meanwhile in the back room, Diego sends Ceci off to get dressed and he and Gaspar pace like expectant fathers.

Meanwhile, the nuns and Azulcena are sitting down to tea and cookies while the little TV sits on the table, tuned to the big fashion show. The TV shows Silvana strutting in one of Diego's designs, as Azulcena watches. The nuns are giggling that she was just there at the orphanage yesterday with their benefactor, perhaps in a romantic role. The mother superior reprimands them, since he just lost his wife. Azulcena remarks that he looks content, but she is looking at Julio, since Diego has not come on the show yet. The M.S. corrects her, and says she doesn't know why Diego Moran has not come out yet.When Azulcena hears his name, she looks like someone has walked across her grave. She repeats his name and dramatically looks impactada.

The cameras are rolling as Diego, Gaspar and Ceci, now dressed, are trying to get into the interview. The stagehand says he'll try to get them on. The hostess of the show announces Diego's arrival.

Azulcena instantly regresses into a child. She gets a bit of a crazy look on her face and says, there's something under the table. The nuns look confused as Azulcena dives under the table, comes back up and announces she thinks they have rats. The nuns jump up on the chairs, screaming, as Azulcena looks amused. Azulcena looks under the table again where there is a little boy hiding, and motioning to not tell. Azulcena announces, yep, definitely rats. Of course all this is happening as Diego takes the stage. No one at the nunnery is watching. Then the little rats unplug the TV. The nuns are dancing jigs on the chairs as Azulcena eggs them on and sends them running from the room. The little boy comes out when just Azulcena is left in the room, explaining that he was eating cookies.

Diego and Ceci have joined the hostess, Julio and Silvana on stage. They go to commercial.

Meanwhile, we go to LF and his mami. He is not happy that he has left Azulcena. His mother tries to convince him that he did the right thing. She mentions that now he can move on. How about that girl Cecilia? LF says he loves Azulcena, that he told her he would wait for her until she got her memory back, and that he was not going to get involved with anyone while he waits. His mother admits it was a bad idea to suggest it, but she just wants to protect him.

Back on stage, the fashionistos talk about clothes and models and the beauty of women. But it seems that Ceci and Silvana are modeling Diego's new line of maternity dresses. Clemi, Anibal, Lidia and Tavo are watching the show as Ceci models the dress. They comment on how much Ceci has improved. Tavo makes a comment to Lidia about how they will get married and start having kids. Lidia looks at him like he may be crazy. It doesn't look like the subject of kids has come up in their conversations before.

The show wraps up, applause all around. Clemi and Anibal leave Tavo and Lidia alone. Poor Tavo. Lidia is not looking happy. As soon as they are alone, Tavo asks her what's wrong and why is she mad at him. Seems she still thinks happiness and talk of marriage and babies is still insensitive in light of Diego's loss. How very unexpected of the selfish little wench. Tavo apologizes, but he is still insecure in their relationship. Lidia tells him that if he can't trust her, they will never be happy as a married couple.

The stage goes dark and everyone is chatting and a reporter is asking Silvana when she will come back to Mexico. Silvana is making eyes across the stage at Diego (not that Diego notices). The reporter notices and Silvana coyly asks him to use discretion in disclosing her relationship with Diego. She smirks.

Ceci thanks Diego for helping her as Julio chats with Silvana. Julio leaves Silvana standing alone to talk with Diego and Ceci. Silvana pouts, tapping her foot as she stands all by her lonesome. Ceci and Julio leave so finally Silvana gets her time with Diego. Diego ask her where he can take her. When she says her hotel, Diego says that it is strange that she doesn't stay with her mother. Silvana says she didn't want to get in the way of her mother and Chucho. She says she will have to get back to Japan. Diego says he doesn't know what he and Katy will do when she leaves. Silvana puts on her sad face and says how she will miss Katy. Diego says not to worry, Katy has lots of people who love her. Silvana says she worries, just look how Ceci is such a bad influence on poor little Katy. Diego defends Ceci, the lights on stage go off and they leave.

The M.S. is showing Azulcena to her room. The M.S. is apologizing for the rats, really it's clean here. Azulcena doesn't look the least bit guilty. Azulcena is still the new, giddy amnesiac little girl. M.S. leaves the room and Azulcena is scared by a big rat yanking on her skirt, the same little kid who was under the table was hiding under her bed. He gives her a lily and thanks her for helping him. He says he was eating the cookies because the nuns take away his dessert when he is being punished. Azulcena becomes his partner in crime, after he tells her that it won't be long until they take away her desserts too. I think he sees a little rat in her.

LF is reunited with his buddy Mario. Mario asks what's been happening since they left Spain. LF says he has met a woman that has changed the course of his life.

Azulcena wakes up the next day, annoyingly cheerful but feeling bored and useless. The M.S. gives her lots of ideas to keep her busy.

Diego, Katy and Silvana drive up to the front of a building with a sign that says Casa Hogar Ninos de Dios. Could this be the middle-age orphanage where Azulcena is staying? Hhmmmm.....suspense. The three of them discuss homework and other things, then Silvana says she will go inside for Katy's backpack they forgot yesterday. She leaves Diego and Katy in the car.

Azulcena and the M.S. are in the garden. Silvana walks up and Azulcena turns around.....Silvana is extremely impactada to see Azul. Azulcena is blank.

Silvana thought bubbles - No puede ser. Es Azul. (Anybody want to bet how long it takes her to tell Diego? Never springs to my mind.) Azulcena smiles blankly as the M.S. introduces the two of them. Azulcena recognizes Silvana from the TV and compliments her on her beauty. Silvana is now the one with the blank look on her face. She can't take her eyes off the idiotically grinning Azulcena. She says, you can quit faking. Azulcena has no idea what she is talking about.

LF and Mario chat about the love of LF's life. Mario tries to talk a little sense into LF. It sounds identical to what LF's mother has been saying. Mario also brings up Cecilia. LF basically says Who?

Back in the garden, Silvana tries to get out of the garden fast, thinking She's alive, she's alive, she's alive. Azulcena runs after her, yelling Do you know me?Please. You came up to me like you knew me. Do you know who I am? Silvana realizes that Azul has lost her memory and says, No I don't know you. Azulcena looks disappointed.

GSD and Emilia are meeting with Emilia's doctor, who is...Mario, of course. The doctor is sending some tests for her. This upsets Emilia and they jworry about an older woman having a baby.

Silvana leaves the orphanage with the backpack and gets in the car with Diego and Katy. Diego can tell something is wrong.(Silvana yells Azul is alive! Yeah right, no chance of that)Silvana says it's so upsetting to see all those orphans, abandoned and unwanted. She is so sensitive. Diego can't decide if he believes her or not.

Azulcena chats with the nun about nothing important. Meanwhile, GSD and Emilia are still discussing the risks involved with the doctor. Emilia is despondent and a bit pessimistic.

Arni and Julio are discussing the baby too. Julio has doubts that GSD will let them be involved with the baby because of GSD's homophobia. Julio mentions that many people think homosexuality is contagious.

Diego, Katy and Silvana are walking down the street when Katy asks some insecure questions. Both Diego and Silvana comfort her and Diego suggests they visit the orphanage. As you can guess, Silvana has to stop him from doing that! She pretends that it's not a good idea to make Katy go there if she doesn't want to. She doesn't sway Diego. To him, it is a place of peace.

Azulcena's little partner in crime comes to sit with her in the garden. They introduce themselves and decide that neither of them have real names. He is Frijolito. Little Bean and Lily. He takes her to show her some secret places.

LF and Mario are discussing LF and Azulcena's relationship. Mario thinks it may bring professional trouble and explains why. LF can't understand. Perhaps he should hook up with Emilia and her professional ethics.

Azulcena and Frijolito are sneaking around the orphanage like two kids playing hooky from school.

Diego is kissing Katy goodbye at school while Silvana stands waving to her, looking happy but thinking how her life just sucks now that Azul is still alive.

Gaspar, Ceci, Gloria and Chucho are rehashing the show, how Diego saved the day and who could have spilled the coffee on Ceci's dress.

Diego and Silvana are driving when Diego asks her what happened at the Casa Hogar. He is insistent. Silvana comes up with a story, how sad it is for poor little Katy, all that's happened to her, how Silvana left the country to forget Diego and Katy, but has realized now that she could never forget him. A newspaper vendor steps up to the window and Diego buys a newspaper which happens to have a front page story of interest. It seems that the headlines read that the great designer Diego Moran is having a torid love affair with the international model Silvana Lombardo. He looks accusingly at Silvana who looks like she just swallowed a canary.

Gaspar and Ceci debate telling Gloria that they are sure that it was Silvana that spilled the coffee on Ceci's dress. Julio comes in carrying a newspaper. He is mad at the two of them for something.

Silvana turns on the crocodile tears. She claims ignorance on how the reporter got that idea. She can't believe that he could think that it was her, blah blah blah, and leaves the car in a huff.

Julio learns that Gaspar and Ceci think Silvana ruined Ceci's dress. He is not too happy and says that he knows how to control that woman.

Diego chases down Silvana to apologize. She plays him for all he's worth and soon Diego is hugging her and then....she kisses him. From our view of his back, he doesn't seem too into it.

Azulcena and Frijolito are playing in the garden when the nun comes to send him to class. The nun tells Azulcena how much Frijolito misbehaves and Azulcena decides to take him under her wing. She spouts her psychobabble and the M.S. decides that in her previous life, Azulcana must have been a psychologist!

The show opens with Diego and Silvana at the boutique. Diego is looking at Silvana critically, as a model with one of his dresses, a red evening gown, on and calls Chucho over to make modifications to the dress she’s wearing. “close up the neckline, two fingers at the sides, two at the top and be careful not to alter the structure or the drape of the dress.” Chucho agrees and Diego walks off. Chucho says “good day, Silvana, we haven’t greeted eachother yet today have we?” Silvana looks a little snooty and uncomfortable. Wow, somebody’s gotten big for their britches.

Far away in the countryside, Azulcena (Azul+Amnesia+Azucena=Azulcena) , LF and LF’s mama are eating their country supper plato of Tortilla, refried beans and guacamole. When mama gets up to get the salsa, LF and Azulcena quickly start making out behind her back and then pretend like nothing happened. When she gets back, Azul goes to playing footsie under the table. LF you haven’t got a prayer. This supposedly dumb bunny is hot to trot.

Back at the boutique, Ceci is complaining bitterly to Gaspar that Silvana wants everything—she wants to be the best model, with the best husband and already perfect daughter. According to what Azul told her Ceci laments, Diego already is the perfect husband. Gaspar shakes his head when Silvana thunders in still wearing the too low cut (for Diego) evening gown. I heard you talking about me. “Tell me to my face!” Ceci has no trouble doing this. She tells her that she can see that she’s trying to make a play for Diego “and this I will not permit.!” Silvana says she will do no such thing, what’s going on here is none of her business. Ceci says, yes it is her business—Azul was like a sister to her and Silvana skip a beat after Azul’s death to try to take her place. Silvana protests that that’s not true. All she’s trying to do is support Diego and Caty. Ceci rolls her eyes and says, “Yeah, right, more charity than Mother Teresa of Calcutta.” She goes on to accuse Silvana of pursuing Diego all the time she knew that he was in love with Azul. Silvana agrees but says that when Azul and Diego finally got together, she let him go and tried to start over and put everything into being a success with her new life as a model. “And that’s what really cuts you” she finishes with Ceci, giving her a nasty look. Gaspar interrupts here to defend Ceci. He tells her not to yell at and insult Ceci or she’ll have to answer to him. Silvana continues her insulting tone—saying it’s not her fault that Ceci is a mediocre model and can’t win the love of a man. (Uh, who are we talking about again?) Ceci defiantly says that her moment will come. Silvana tosses her head and says basically that she’s got all the right stuff to be a model and Ceci just doesn’t have it. Ceci says whatever, leaving aside Silvana’s insults, Ceci says she only cares about the welfare of Diego and Caty and she will make sure that they know about Silvana’s true intentions. Some footsteps are heard in the hallway and Silvana starts whimpering on cue. It’s Diego, Julio, Chucho and Gloria. Silvana whimpers that Ceci is being mean to her. She’s been telling Gaspar that Silvana is not going back to Japan—she’s going to take what’s not hers, Cecilia’s career and Diego. Julio asks Ceci “how could you?” Diego bites his lip and asks Ceci if it is true. Ceci admits it. She says that she’ll fight for the memory of her best friend. Diego turns away and leaves. Silvana smirks and says “see what you’ve done with your stupid behavior? I am going to him.” She exits running after Diego.

In the countryside, Azulcena and the Doctorcito are in the countryside talking about how they are going to be doing some home visits to patients who live in locations remote from the clinic. Azulcena is all smiley and says that’s great because she likes to help people.

Back at the boutique, Gloria and Chucho discuss the bustup between Ceci and Silvana. Gloria says that Ceci is right, Silvana is on the prowl for Diego. Chucho doesn’t believe it. He says, yes, Silvana has changed now that she’s a top model, but he doesn’t think she’s become …what Cecilia says. I guess we can fill in the …with “conniving biyatch.” Gloria fusses over Chucho and says he’s too nice. It’s absolutely true that Silvana is staying in Mexico for Diego. Chucho says, “so?” “Everybody knows that he’s very dear to her.” “Gloria says, yes, but Silvana herself has told her that this time it’s different. This time, she’s prepared to do anything to get Diego.” [Wow, mom, some confidante you are!] Chucho looks thoughtful then responds again, “So? “ Azul (rest in peace) is gone and Diego has a right to remake his life. Gloria says, that’s not the problem. It’s the way her daughter is going about the whole thing without any consideration. WITHOUT LIMITS (just to echo the title of the show one more time).

Meanwhile, Diego is lying with his head awfully close to his sewing machine. He mumbles that he can’t forget Azul. Azul is not dead to him, it’s like she still there. Silvana looks pretty bored with all this talking about Azul. Diego says, it’s true that Azul is no longer with him, he can’t kiss her, he can’t embrace her… a tear rolls down the side of his nose (because his head was horizontal a minute ago). Silvana finally interrupts him saying she can see why Ceci is mad at her—it was professional jealousy—Ceci has worked so hard and achieved so little in her career…blah blah blah. Diego is not listening.

Back to Ceci back in the main room of the boutique with Julio who is ticked that Ceci has created such a ruckus. Silvana and she will have to learn to work together like professionals. He doesn’t want to give Diego any more problems. Ceci is unrepentant about what she said. Julio indicates that she should get ready for the show. Cecilia walks off.

Silvana is still trying to sweet talk Diego. She tells him that he helped her get over the death of her son. Ceci comes in suddenly to Silvana’s dismay and apologizes to Diego. Diego accepts. He asks her next time that from now on, to think before she speaks. He gets up and walks out.
In the remote village, while she is assisting the Doctorcito, Azulcena is administering something to a kid. Looks like eye drops. After she finishes with him she suddenly looks at her bracelet. She hears Caty’s voice in her head, telling her that when she wears the bracelet, she can always feel her near her. The shock of the memory, causes Azul to swoon. The Doctorcito must have watching her pretty closely because he notices her wavering and runs up to catch her and sit her down before she can fall.

Switch to Azul’s memorial service. The family processes in to some pop song, I don’t recognize, with Diego and Caty bringing up the rear. It’s in the convent chapel and all the nuns are there. Diego and Caty carry the memorial wreath and lay it on the altar.

The Doctor asks Azulcena what’s wrong and she says nothing—she just feels a little dizzy. A woman invites her to come to her house to eat, that that’s probably what the problem is. She goes with the woman.

Back to the chapel, more shots of the family and some of the nice religious statuary. There is an old statue of the Holy Trinity, very colonial looking. (Sorry, religious iconography was one of my favorite things in Art History.) More song, whatever it is.

After Azulcena comes back from eating tacos at the woman’s house, the Doctorcito asks her what REALLY happened back there with the fainting and all. Azulcena admits that she looked at her bracelet and heard a little girl’s voice in her head. “And it affected you so much, you fainted? “He asked. She pretty much repeats what she just said and smiles at him a little idiotically, as if none of it had any meaning. He, on the other hand, looks worried. If she’s getting back her memory, what is he going to find out about her?

Back at the chapel, the service is continuing. Silvana is wearing a dress that is so tight that it looks like it was painted on and again, with the cleavage. Not very funereal. On the other side of the chapel, Ceci prays that if Azul isn’t coming back, for help in accepting her death. She’s all alone.

In the Pueblito, the Doctorcito says that he should run some tests on Azulcena. Azul whines that she’s already had enough tests. The fainting was just the heat and not having enough to eat and being tired, etc.

Back over to the funeral—it’s finished up and people are exiting the chapel. A little boy runs out. Silvana the busybody says that she’ll look after Caty who immediately announces that she wants to play and runs after the little boy. The mother superior of the convent announces that the nuns have prepared lunch for everybody and she invites them to join her. Clemi gratefully accepts. The mother superior tells them that Diego has asked them to wait a moment. He wants to pray alone for awhile. The MS leaves to see about lunch. Clemi asks Anibal to join her in looking for Cecilia, since she noticed she was very upset during the service. As they walk off, Silvana is left alone and she rolls her eyes. Julio, who is with Arnaldo, asks him to wait a minute for him—he wants to go clarify something with Manuel. He walks off.

Meanwhile, the doctorcito and Azulcena are on their way back. He wants her to rest. It’s hot and she wants to go skinny dipping. Guess who wins out?

Julio has found Manuel and they are talking. I don’t recall this, but I guess Manuel is supposed to be working at the boutique. It being Manuel, who is a lazy-ass good for nothing liar, he hasn’t shown up in days. Julio says that he hasn’t wanted to say anything for Diego because he’s got enough on his plate. Manuel claims that the whole family is in mourning for Azul, that’s why he hasn’t been by. Julio says he doesn’t buy it. Manuel was in Italy buying cloth when Azul disappeared and didn’t exactly rush back. When he finally got back, he never showed up for his job. Manuel tries to minimize the absence saying it was only 2 days. Julio says it was 4 and it’s not the first time he’s skipped work without any explanation. Julio says that he shows up whenever he wants and he’s tired of hiding it from his son. He intimates that Manuel’s problem is the ponies. (So now in addition to being an alcoholic, he’s also addicted to gambling? That’s news to me.) Manuel complains that he’s had some problems but what he does on his own time is none of Julio’s business. Besides, he got the job done…Julio interrupts him to say that he KNOWS that Gaspar was the one who actually had to go get the materials. This is the LAST warning he’s going to give Manuel before he speaks to Diego about firing him.

Silvana has crept up in the background and has heard the whole conversation. When Julio walks away, Silvana comes up and Manuel rushes up to her and greets her with an extravagant and creepy hug. Silvana notes that she overheard what Julio said to him. Manuel starts to try to explain and Silvana brushes him aside saying that she likes horse racing too, but at least he has his job at the boutique. Manuel starts complaining about how his son doesn’t pay him much. Azul had him “tied up.” He goes on to suggest that he would have preferred it if Diego had married her, not Azul. Silvana likes the sound of this. She tells him that now that Azul isn’t around anymore, when SHE marries Diego, things will be different. She promises that they will help him more. [So now, Silvana is in cahoots with the loathsome Manuel? I thought she was friends with Clemi?? Que the Hell??] Manuel is all smiles at this news but he’s gotten a little sharper or more desperate. Show me the money he says. Well, no, he says “I have some need of money now and, well, I’d like to know if your intentions are serious.” Silvana smiles beneficently and opens her purse. Before she can count out some bills, he grabs them all and says that he will do everything in his power to make sure that Diego marries her. [Gee, not very creative with the cons, is he?] He winks and hugs her some more. She roles her eyes and looks disgusted.
Back in the chapel. Diego is praying to the Guadalupe painting. Asking the Virgincita to help him. He misses Azul. He knows that she must be dead but at the bottom of his heart he believes that she is alive. He knows that it must be an obsession. Some kind of survival mechanism, to keep going. BUT if she could just give him a sign…he wants to be strong…If it’s not to be, if she’s really gone, he asks for her help in accepting it. The Virgincita is silent. Diego, with a tear rolling down his cheek whispers “I’ve lost her forever.”

Cut to the Doctorcito and Azulcena skinny dipping and making out near in a waterfall. [Gotta agree with all the other ladies on here, the Doctorcito is smokin’ HOT, and we get a pretty nice view of him here. Sorry guys, Azulcena is up to her neck in the water most of the time. We saw more of her in those Daisy Duke dresses.]

At the funeral lunch, Anibal is comforting Clemi. Manuel comes in and hugs Diego. Clemi remarks on how Manuel finally remembered that he has kids. She hopes that one day he thinks of Lidia. [No, Clemi. Lidia is BETTER OFF if he forgets about her. He was the one who was advising her on her career as a high class Ho, remember? Sorry couldn’t resist] The MS rings a bell to call the room to attention. She announces that Diego has been a great benefactor to the orphanage and the convent and they are grateful to be helpful in this time of need. They are honored to have his family there. She hands him a little basket of something, food? That the kids made for him. Diego looks a bit abashed. The nun is a bit too jovial for the occasion but she is warm in her welcome and everybody is relaxed.

Relaxed is not what the Doctorcito’s mama is, when she goes looking for her son and finds him and Azulcena nekkid, getting it on under the waterfall. She’s shocked and walks away.

As the funeral lunch is going on, the nuns start to pass out little cups of something that looks like a crème liquor [Tia Maria? In Venezuela it’s called Ponche Crema (Cream Punch) kind of like that cream Kailua. That seems odd to be serving in the middle of the afternoon to a group that’s half kids. Then again, this is rural Mexico and I have no idea what the custom would be here.] GSD gets up to speak. He says he has an announcement to make and he thinks that if Azul were here it would make her very happy. He thinks it will inject a little happiness into an otherwise sad occasion. Yes, he announces that he and Emilia are expecting. Emilia looks OK with this, so he must have asked her first. The whole room erupts in applause. Arnaldo seems bewildered that he is going to have a new brother or sister.

Back in the countryside, Azulcena and the Doctorcito have arrived back home to Mama. Azulcena apologizes for their lateness and makes some excuse about how they were working…and then they went to swim in the watering hole and time just flew by! Mama says “Yes, I see. “ Azulcena complains that her wet dress has a bunch of dirt stuck to it now so she’s going to go change. [Uh, Mama knows that no dresses were involved in the swim.] When Azulcena goes off to change, Mama lights into her son. She saw the whole thing and she saw that he went against what he said he would do. Against his “ethics.” The Doctorcito goes off saying that he wasn’t taking advantage of her, that they have feelings for eachother and were only doing what their hearts commanded. Mama points out that he doesn’t even know who she is. Mama is afraid that if his behavior is ever scrutinized, it could look like Azulcena was his patient, a person of diminished capacity from her injury and that he abused his position to become involved with her. The Doctorcito argues that his feelings for her are too strong to let any of that get in the way, although he’s anxious about her and the fact that he doesn’t know who she really is and if she really loves him or is just feeling gratitude toward him. Mom doesn’t want him to do something crazy.

Silvana is all smiles with Emilia’s news and says that she really missed being around children while she was in Japan. Emilia says that she’s really scared. When she was younger, she had her career and no partner to have a child with. Now that her career is established, surprise, surprise! She’s having a kid. She doesn’t know if she has the patience or strength to raise a child at her age. Silvana says she’s sure that Emilia will be a great mom, with all the children she’s had in therapy. Silvana adds, reaching out to touch Caty’s hair (Caty is sitting on Diego’s lap, kitty corner from Silvana) that taking care of Caty has made her feel like a mother again. Ceci who is sitting next to Emilia, rolls her eyes. There is some talk of Silvana helping Emilia buy baby clothes and When Emilia says she’s got an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow, Silvana tries to make it a date with her and Diego after they drop Caty at school. Diego jumps in to explain that he and Silvana have been dropping Caty at school. Emilia launches into a lecture about how Diego should try to get things back to normal as soon as possible at home because sometimes, when there’s a loss, people fall into the trap of co-dependency. They substitute their need rather than form a healthy new relationship. Diego agrees. Ceci says she’s going to help too with homework etc. Silvana plasters a big fake smile on at this but Diego butts in to say that he’ll take care of all that. He and Caty need some father-daughter time. He will focus all his attention on her. Silvana looks nervous. Manuel looks over at her reassuringly.

The Doctorcito is still arguing with his Mama. Mama is unhappy that she’ll be cointinuing to stay with them with this new situation. D’cito says that he wanted her here so that he could take care of her, in safety. He’s not about to dump her on some street corner now. He tells mom that they are novios. Mom is impactada. She tells him that they can’t be, if she doesn’t even know who she is. D’cito says that he didn’t want it to get that far, until they knew who she was, but he lost control of the situation when their feelings became mutual. Mama says that she no longer trusts his judgement. D’cito says he’s sorry that he has lost her confidence. She doesn’t want Azulcena living there anymore.

Azulcena comes out in a clean dress, all chirpy and ready to help make dinner. D’cito tells her to pack her things. He’s going to take her to Mexico City to leave her at an orphanage. [Isn’t she a little old for that?] Azulcena is impactada into the commercial.

When we come back, Azulcena is already in tears. She accuses D’cito of abandoning her when he promised to protect her. She reproaches Mama for not letting her be novios with her son. “Even the animals look for a mate, why can’t I?” “Because we don’t know anything about your past,” says Mama. “You could be married and even be a mother.” Azulcena looks troubled. D’cito looks shocked. This didn’t occur to him?

Back at the funeral lunch, Ceci is with the kids and nuns, playing a game. The adults, including Silvana are still talking. Tavo gets up to speak. He announces that Lidia and he are getting married. Lidia looks uncomfortable. It appears to be because she feels bad for Diego. Diego comes over and says no worries. He’s happy that his Lidia and Tavo have fought for their love and they deserve to be happy, even if he can’t be.

All of the sudden, the game that Ceci, the kids and nuns have been playing gets really loud. It looks like a version of hide and seek since the kids are hiding under tables. Everybody laughs, except Silvana who looks like she wants to kill Ceci, especially when she ends up picking up Caty and making a big fuss over her.

D’cito has completely caved to his Mom. Mom says that they must do things the right way. “As God commands.” D’cito says that his mom is right. He’ll visit her every day in the orphanage and continue her therapy. The most important thing is that she find her identity. Azulcena tears up at this. She never thought about whether she had a husband or children. D’cito agrees. “Although our love may be innocent, we may be hurting other people.” Mama chimes in that it is important that they put some distance between them, to put the brakes on. They cannot be together. D’cito says that he doesn’t want to hurt his mom’s feelings but he’s going to continue seeing Azulcena until she recovers her memory. “Even if it takes years.” He’s going to wait by her side. Mama isn’t liking the sound of this. D’cito continues that if they find her family and they want her back, he’ll accept it. But if they find that there’s nothing waiting for her, he’ll be there for her with open arms.

The orphans are all talking with Caty. One little boy tells her that if her mommy is dead, she’s an orphan like them and they will bring her to an orphanage like this one. Caty doesn’t like the sound of this and starts screaming her little head off. She was already in an orphanage for awhile and she didn’t like it. With all the screaming, Ceci comes running, then Diego, then Silvana who shoves Ceci out of the way. Silvana shouts at Ceci “What did you do to her?” The MS asks the kids what happened and one of them tells her that the little boy (Frijolito) told her that if her mom died, she would be put in an orphanage. Diego comforts her. Silvana’s ruse to throw the blame on Ceci fails.

Back in the country, Azulcena is taking leave of Mama, thanking her. Mama says that “this is your house. As soon as you resolve the mystery of your past, you can come back whenever you like. If you are a free woman, nothing would make me happier than to have you formalize your relationship with my son.“ They hug.

Back at the convent/orphanage dining room, Diego is explaining to Caty that all the orphans have neither a mom or a dad, while she has him. And besides him, she has all these other people. (Family members have gathered around her). Caty exclaims that she never wants to come back to this place. Diego says no, she must come back and make friends with the children. She should have other friends than the ones she has in school and he wants her to know all kinds of children, from different backgrounds. The MS comes back and says that Frijolito is sorry. It was a joke that got out of hand. Emilia remarks that children often say things without thinking of the consequences. Silvana says abruptly that they should go. Everybody turns to look at her. “So that Caty can calm down.” Nobody moves, everybody just looks at her.

Eventually they do leave. Diego, Silvana and Caty all get into one car and go. Tavo and Lidia, Manuel, Anibal and Clemi are all together by the entrance. Tavo makes a comment that very soon he is going to ask for Lidia’s hand. [I thought they already announced that they were getting married?] Manuel makes a point of saying that Tavo is going to have to ask HIM for her hand, since he’s Lidia’s dad. Everybody just looks embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Azulcena is brought to the orphanage by the Doctorcito. YES IT IS THE VERY SAME ORPHANAGE. THE VERY SAME ONE. The MS asks if she is his novia (Girlfriend) but he says no, she’s Azucena. They sit and talk for awhile about how the Doctor hasn’t been by much lately. They’ve had to spend a lot of money on medical care for the children. He promises to stop by at least twice a week.

Now Diego and Silvana are back at Diego’s mansion, which has a swanky bar. Silvana is sitting provocatively on one of the bar stools, looking like Elizabeth Taylor in Butterfield 8. Silvana is arguing with Diego. He doesn’t want to go to the Fashion show taping with Caty all stirred up. Silvana says it’s the most watched program on fashion. He has to go. Caty is asleep. Silvana claims she read Caty a story and she fell asleep right away. And what’s more, beforehand, she told Caty that they had to go out and Caty understood and was fine with it. “She’s sleeping like a little angel.” Diego thanks her, for helping with Caty again and for supporting him. Silvana is all smiles.

Back to the MS, Azulcena and D’cito at the orphanage. The MS is shocked that Azulcena remembers nothing, not even her name. D’cito fills MS in about Azulcena’s therapy. MS says it’s fine if she stays there but they’ll have to notify the authorities in case someone is looking for her. D’cito says they already made inquiries in the pueblo where he found her and nobody’s filed anything. MS says that sometimes these reports take time to circulate. In the meantime, there is a place for her here.

Ceci and Silvana are getting ready for the show. They are all screaming and carrying on about the makeup and dresses, with Gaspar helping them. The dress isn’t working out for Ceci so she has to go change. A stage manager comes in and orders them all out except for the models. While Ceci is changing, Silvana goes over and SPILLS A BIG CUP OF COFFEE ON CECI’s DRESS!

The doctorcito is taking his leave of Azulcena. She’s unhappy to be left alone. [And we already know with this guy, out of sight is out of mind.] He tells her that if she needs him, she can always call. He says this is the only way they can know if what they have is real. She says that the only thing that is real to her are the feelings that she had for him.

Diego, Silvana and Julio are all waiting to go on. They are all wondering where the hell Cecilia is. Silvana says when she left, she was changing.

Azulcena and MS are walking on the convent grounds. Azulcena asks if she can go pray in the chapel. The MS directs her.

Gaspar has found the dress covered in coffee. He shows it to Ceci and pronounces it a disaster. Ceci cannot go on the air with this dress!

Azul goes into the chapel and finds the flowers on the altar. Azucenas (Lilies) the MS explains that they were left there for a funeral for the wife of one of their benefactors. They were the flowers that she loved best. Azulcena smiles ands says her too! After a series of questions the MS tells her that he’s young, n’ handsome n’ talented. In fact, the MS says that the benefactor is going to be appearing on television that very night! Would she like to come and see him! Azulcena says Yes!

We open tonight with Silvana still in that slinky black cocktail dress since breakfast giving parenting tips to Diego about his responsibility to stop keeping the myth of Azul being alive for Caty. Mom Clemencia is siding with Silvana on this issue, Azul is dead. Clemi tells Silvana to keep fighting and to have patience with Diego. Surely he will get past this and love again and it could be you. Ding dong, Azul is dead! says Silvana if only to herself. [Well wasn't that what her look was saying?]

Caty asks in tears if Diego has found Mommy Azul yet. He finally gives into the pressure and tells her that Mommy Azul is not going to return to them she's in heaven with God. She's a shining star now. I will love you enough for both of us. Diego gives lots of hugs and assurance. Silvana is ready to help (ding dong, Azul is dead) and goes off to talk to Caty in her room. Clemi tells Diego he's always been strong and he needs to dig into his soul for Caty. He says he can't forget. She insists that some day this will just be a memory. [not true, says I, but I'm just the recapper here]

Azul and Doc Luis Felipe are busy in the clinic, Azul in her little girl country dress is taking a patient's blood pressure and flirting with the old guy so who knows how accurate the reading is. Doc tells the patient to hydrate well, take his meds and (call me in the morning)... The patient holds Azul's hands and comments on how soft they are, most of the country gals he knows work with animals or the harvest and have nasty, gnarly old hands. She's just grand in the clinic. Doc grins that he wouldn't know what to do without her help. [Try reading your medical books perhaps?]

Tavo and Efrain are discussing Tavo's new shop and how hard he is working but he is afraid the shop will be seized if he can't make enough money. Lidia is his other reason to need a lot of money. He thinks it would be a great idea to lay a trap for her so he can test whether she really loves him or not. Efrain counsels that it would be better to forget his resentment and suspicions, tell her the truth and just ask her to her face if she loves him. He'll know by her answer. [What a concept, tell the truth.]

Azul is back at the Doc's office arranging a pile of files and telling him that she wants to take each patient's records and put them all in perfect order. He starts to add up, you're sharp, you know computers, photography. She demures cutely, no, no not me. He persists with you are spontaneous with no prejudices, your former life must have been very different, even your hands are so soft. She is so distinctive from the other country girls. She bats her eyes at him and says no matter what her life must have been before [the big, bad amnesia] she is so happy to be with him now.

Silvana and Caty while Caty counts up losing Mama Azul, Nico, Mama Liliana... Silvana swoops in with but you have Papa Diego and ME! And, if you tell me to stay, I will. We can help Papa Diego get happy again, you don't want to lose him too or go to a foster home??? BREAK

Caty in total melt down now, I don't want to lose Papa Diego or go back to a foster home. Silvana very snakelike tells Caty she can make a pact with her and then she can have a great life with HER and Diego, instead of an orphanage. She'll be able to go to the park, cinema, theater...[Besides this dreadful dialog being hard to take, I can't recall any of the cretins in this entire series ever doing anything cultural.]

Lidia is sweet talking Tavo, doesn't he want to marry her... YES. [Another seduction going well.]

Caty and Diego discuss wanting a mass at the church for Azul. They will always care for the souls of the Mommies and other Dad, et. al. Silvana cheerily suggests how about popcorn and a movie this afternoon (and ME). Caty has learned her part already, she's cheering to go and for Silvana to stay this afternoon with them.

Luis Felipe and Azul are driving in his truck, she ohhhs at a beautiful spot to stop and instead of going to a restaurant she pulls out a picnic lunch that Momma made. How convenient. They find a shady spot under trees. They both enjoy the beautiful vista, life is better. They get fresh air and a breather from all the piles of work they just finished. Azul then leads him on a merry chase through the woods.

GSD is considering an offer to go to Switzerland to help cure AIDS and he is needing to get away because he is still clinging to thoughts of his daughter and can't accept her death. He offers Emilia a chance to come with him. Emilia wants him to stay and not avoid his grief and problems. He needs to come to peace with his loss of his daughter. She wants him to take a few days to think about staying rather than leaving for Switzerland but whatever comes they are good together.

Back in the woods, Azul is hiking down a hill in only 2 inch high heels, trying to run and giggling as Dr. LP chases playfully behind. Girlish giggles sound exactly the same in either Spanish or English.

Clemencia and Ceci are discussing the plans for the mass for the eternal rest of Azul's soul. It will be in chapel at the home/orphanage of Mother Maria. The nuns have insisted in making all the arrangements. They are so grateful for all Diego's help. Clemi still hopes for a miracle that somehow Azul will be found alive. Ceci is still crying all the time but needs to get to work, get her life back and deal with her grief.

With Silvana eating with Diego and Caty, she drops the reminder that she has to go back to Japan right away. Caty on cue again starts with the NO NO Don't go!! Silvana acts touched and says she can stay a few more days, she'll call the modeling agency.

GSD has joined Julio and Arnaldo at their table, decides to stay for a meal and carries on about his inability to get over losing Azul. They all miss her so much.

Clemi tells Ceci that she needs to get a grip, life passes in a sigh. Ceci says she is still thinking of her love for Luis Felipe but has had no word from him. He might be married by now. Clemi says Ceci will find her true love one day.

Mean while Azul finds Luis Felipe's lips. -BREAK-

Luis Felipe pushes back, pardon me, I can't do this with you, you don't even know who you are. I'm just the only stable thing you know. This isn't right. Azul begs....

Arnie, Julio and GSD continue discussing how difficult it is to accept that Azul is dead since her body was never found. GSD can't picture her dead. Arnie wants them all to remember her as she was strong, generous [when was that], happy, full of life. GSD tells the boys he is leaving for Europe for a while to assimilate this loss. Julio says, this is your house and as they all three hold hands he adds that GSD always has the two of them to listen to him. [Isn't it just amazing how the homophobia just melted right out of GSD, or maybe went up in some of that cigarette smoke.]

Silvana, still in that low cut black dress, plays Mommy to Caty telling her it's time to brush her teeth and get ready for bed. Tomorrow is a work day and she has to go to school. She and Diego both try to take Caty to get ready for bed, but Silvana wins saying as long as she is in Mexico she would like to put her to bed.

Azul, Luis Felipe and his Mama are at the table. After the rebuff in the woods she has suddenly remembered how to pout. This is a break through. She's not hungry and is going out for a walk. LF's Mama thinks everyone is acting strange. LF can't understand why a smart girl like Azul likes the country life so well. Mama says have patience. Millions of people would like to live where there is countryside and fresh air. Mama thinks when Azul remembers maybe they can be a pair. LF then discusses his plans to go back to Mexico, DF to deal with his consulting practice. Mom is shocked how could he leave the pueblo.
-BREAK-

LFelipe remembers that he promised to open a clinic with his buddy Mario and he can't back out on his promise. Mama pleads that there are so many clinics in D.F but only his one clinic in Santa Maria. He assures her he can do both and keep the clinic going at home with the resources of the city clinic. He feels bad about leaving the burden of taking care of Azul with his Mama but she insists she likes being around Azucena and it will be company and not a burden at all. [Obviously the whining just started so she has no clue.] LF goes outside and finds Azul pretending to be asleep on some bales of hay. She wheedles and snuggles and gets him to admit that he loves her. He tells her not to insist. She insists. He resists, she insists. She has only a memory of right here, right now. What is to stop them from enjoying themselves and being happy. Obviously his professional ethic is no longer one of the things... So here is a good old time roll in the hay. He sheepishly says baaaaa, [not really] he actually says you're right, but maybe tomorrow if you remember .... she insists once again that only this moment has any meaning.

Silvana is seducing Caty, really lying on the bed while Caty begins to sleep. When Diego peeks in Silvana puts her head down and pretends to be asleep, he almost touches her arm then leaves. We are left with Silvana's evil smile of triumph.

Luis Felipe in a moment of guilt tells Azul he doesn't want his Mama to know about their love just yet. She will oppose it. Azul in child like whimper asks why is it bad, it's so pretty. Your Mama will be happy. He accepts all the risks but doesn't want others to meddle right now for good or bad. Azul prattles, on in a little while we can be formal novios. Luis Felipe holds on to the last thread of this professional ethics and reluctance to assure her that if when her memory returns and she ends up having someone in her former life he will understand. Azul insists she won't change her mind and his Mama will finally accept their love. She slings a leg over his as we fade to ...
- BREAK -

GSD walks back into his or Emilia's house with his bag. She appears to ask did you miss your plane? He says no the plane missed him. He has had a change of heart and agrees with her that he needs to stay right here to deal with his grief and adjust. He was fleeing to avoid dealing with all of it. [I guess AIDS will just have to cure itself without him.] Suddenly what looks totally like a product placement as our eyes and GSD's and Emilia's go to the coffee table and hiding in plain sight is the big plastic pregnancy test stick!! Wow, she's pregnant. She looks alarmed, he asks why isn't she happy, she is worried. Age wise, etc. It is a miracle but she is scared. Maybe it's false results. He offers to take a blood sample to the lab tomorrow to analyze it for her and find out for sure. [What a guy.]

Breakfast in the same snakey cocktail dress and hair looking unslept on, Silvana has the nerve to say her clothes are a disaster. She has already given Caty breakfast and taken her to school AND had time to call the modeling agency to tell them she needs a few more days in Mexico, D.F. and they said she could stay. Diego wants to know how he can repay her for all she has done. [Wrong question baby boy, wrong question] Sure she has a plan, she can consult with him for the day and in fact will model for him in today's design show. He is so gleeful, you, the great model Silvana, in my designs?? hmmm

GSD and Emilia talk about parenthood. He knows she has always wanted a child. Science has advanced, it's my baby too, [nice way to discuss that she is a bit long in the tooth for this first time pregnancy.] But, he does wisely point out that though she is afraid and it will disrupt their lives and they are not prepared, no one is ever prepared to be a parent. They will be fine and he will be with her. [for GSD this is major tenderness, besides he acts excited to rush that blood sample off to the lab...]

At the boutique Julio, Gaspar, Don Chucho, Gloria and Ceci are sitting around a table preparing for the modeling show listing dresses, shoes, etc. Diego looks up and in walks Silvana in the white version of her low, low cut cocktail dress. He talks up how they will use her in the promotions. Ceci is bent out of shape at being shot down once again with Silvana's commanding presence. Silvana reveals that she will not be returning to Japan yet. Ceci leaps at that with what are you trying to do. Silvana, butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, replies, help Caty.. Before Ceci can go for her throat, Diego yelps, Silvana's helping us out here of her own free will. Ceci will still have a modeling role here at the boutique but now Silvana is so internationally known. Silvana gives Ceci a sly kiss on the cheek and softly suggests Ceci get a good manicure.

Tavo is working under a car when Lidia shows up. She tries to hug him but he says he is filthy dirty, they hug anyway. Then the real dirt comes out, he is having economic problems with the new business. They agree to postpone any big wedding plans for a bit while the business gets established. Clemi had suggested they wait a bit at which Tavo looks worried but Lidia blythly adds that a big wedding now is too soon after Azul's death. They can party later...

Silvana saunters into the room in yet a third cocktail dress. This one in fire engine red and all the way to the floor, is lower cut in back and in front. She preens in front of Diego and asks if the dress is cut low enough. Diego looks at her with anything but the lust she is so hungry for and says no, in fact, let's close it up a bit. Then he turns to Don Chucho and asks him to do the fix up. Silvana, shocked, is so snotty to Don Chucho but he isn't surprised, he just asks her if she isn't at least going to greet him.

One last peek at the ranch lovers kissing secretly while Mama goes to the kitchen for more salsa. Luis Felipe stands up to kiss her as Azul thinks it's fun to play this game and not say anything. She smiles at the returning Mama while she slides her foot up his leg.

Ceci is complaining to Gaspar that Silvana wants Diego and everything, she has to be the best model, get the perfect husband, raise the kid... Silvana has been lurking and strides into the room demanding that Ceci say what she has to to her face. Ceci sneers, you want to stay with Diego and I will not permit it! - FIN -
