10 - 11PM - El Conde: Amor y Honor

El Conde: Amor y Honor, the long-awaited telenovela with Fernando Colunga, will finally be shown starting tonight (Monday, July 1)!. Here are the names of some of the major members of the cast, followed by a brief account of the plot, translated from Telemundo's web site. The cast: "Fernando Colunga and Ana Brenda Contreras lead a star-studded cast including Marjorie de Sousa, Sergio Sendel, Chantal Andere, Víctor González, Helena Rojo and Omar Fierro." The plot: "'The Count: Love and Honor' is an original Telemundo series based on the Alejandre Dumas classic 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. An unjust conviction changes the life of Alejandro Galán (Fernando Colunga) and separates him from the woman he loves, Mariana Zambrano (Ana Brenda Contreras). In prison and thanks to a prisoner, he succeeds in becoming another person and returns, 17 years later, converted into a Count and ready to take revenge." ***The telenovela based on Alexandre Dumas' novel, The Count of Monte Cristo, will begin next Monday, July 1, starring Fernando Colunga in the title role of El Conde.  Some of us may remember Season 1 of La Reina del Sur, in which Patti O'Farrell lent Teresa Mendoza a copy of the novel, translated into Spanish, while they were both in prison.***

El Señor de los Cielos concluded Wednesday evening, but there may be comments on the finale for Page 2 as well.
